Okay, so I know a solid 40% of the new Fantasy High was about Tracker "There's still deep attraction here" O'Shaughnessy, but HERE ME OUT
Gertie Bladeshield is the perfect woman for Kristen Applebees.
Cause, like, look, there was a lot of talk in episode 11 about impulsivity and chaos as an aspect of Kristen's character, mainly in how it's mirrored in Princess "Kristen if she had money" Naradriel, but it's also been a general focus this season, especially in how she often uses it to guard her emotions. Think back to "That's what you think", an incredible improv moment, but if you look at the big picture, Kristen's estranged parents make an incredibly inflammatory statement about her religion right after actively bullying her little brother, and instead of honoring any of the actual negative emotions she's being filled with in that moment, she pirouettes away. It's brought up in the adventuring party after this exact episode how Kristen is a cleric, a high-wisdom class that is naturally insightful, but uses these silly deflections to hold other people back from being insightful into her (hence Mac & Donna's lifetime insight disadvantage)
This isn't just limited to small moments, too. To take a broader look at the season so far, Kristen's chaotic, shrimp-jumping, wrangler-wearing, salsa-dipping, middle-school-campaigning, steel-workers-union-supporting bid for class president is often shown explicitly as a distraction from her existentially important job as the only cleric of Cassandra. Even when trying to earnestly apologize to Cassandra and prove to them that she's gonna prioritize her over class presidency, the only way she can articulate it is "You're the meat, mama." Her emotions are always guarded by some amount of chaos and impulsivity.
Now, how does that relate to Gertie "I've had a crush on you for a really long time" Bladeshield?
In both of the two scenes we've gotten of The Best D20 NPC (/j (but I do really like her)), Gertie has shown a pretty similar propensity for making bold, chaotic decisions in the heat of the moment. However, in my observation, these decisions do NOT come from a place of emotional suppression. Quite the opposite, actually.
Think back to her Grand Entrance into the narrative. Gertie, being one of the last people awake at Fabian's party, gifts her longtime-crush a jar of honey, something that connects directly to her passion/special-interest of beekeeping, in a homemade container designed as a pun on Kristen's last name. (in hindsight, the crush was very obvious) Then, in the middle of her infodumping to her about honey, Kristen's rich friend makes an incredibly dismissive remark about her good-natured gift. This obviously pisses her off, but unlike Kristen "That's what you think" Applebees, Gertie "I don't give a shit who's kid you are" Bladeshield lets herself feel those emotions very loudly, immediately starts a duel with possibly one of the most accomplished sword-fighters in the history of Aguefort, and declares him a life-long nemesis. She acts very brashly and impulsively, but in a way that doesn't hide her emotions, instead expressing them.
(I know there's a lot of talk about outbursts of anger being tied to Ankarna, but not only does the scene not really seem like foreshadowing to me, it's more interesting to see it through the lens of being Gertie's actual actions)
This trend continues with the 12th most noteworthy thing to have happened in episode 11 (which incredibly high acclaim), where after being explicitly asked to talk about bees by her crush, and being placed inches away from her face, kisses her on the lips. Now, excusing the albeit upsetting lack of consent, it once again shows Gertie acting very impulsively in a way that exposes her feelings to the people she likes. With these two instances of characterization being literally the only two scenes we get with her, it poses her as a very interesting parallel to Kristen, someone who shares in her willingness to make impulsive decisions, but differs wildly from her in the way she uses them to react to strong emotions.
However, does this really make Gertie the Autism to her ADHD?
(idk if Gertie really shows autistic traits, I just wanted to say that) Well, part of what Tracker a good companion for Kristen was that, as a fellow cleric, she naturally had very high wisdom, meaning she had enough insight to look past the layers of shrimp and salsa and engage with her on a deep level. However, clerics aren't the only class that cast spells with wisdom, so do rangers, including swarm-keeper rangers, which is a subclass that both has a good few abilities focused on spell-casting and was confirmed to be Gertie's subclass in an adventuring party. While her highest stat still could be dex (which, come to think of it, is a hilarious contrast to Kristen), there's no doubt that Gertie has a higher chance than most at being able to look past Kristen's barriers and see the complex hive of sweet, buzzing emotions underneath.
Hell, maybe that's where Gertie's crush comes from in the first place. Maybe, seeing this popular, proudly sapphic cleric be incredibly playful and chaotic on school grounds, she not only saw a bit of herself, but a little more. Perhaps, the type of mind that dedicates itself to allowing small, harmless critters to prosper even when no-one cares to join her club, is also the type of mind able to recognize when someone isn't allowing their truest emotions to prosper, making her wonder if they might have something to gain from sharing some of that chaos, using it not to hide, but to be free.
Or maybe it's just cause her last name has "bees" in it, idk.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The night was full of partying, drinking and dancing as you celebrated your best friend's 23rd birthday. The night quickly turned into a mess when you went to the bar to get everyone more drinks. When you came back your friends were nowhere to be seen, you assumed they were in the dance floor but when you went to check, they weren't there either. To make matters worse, you had put your phone in your friend's purse for safe keeping so you had no way to contact them. The panic quickly sobered you up as you looked everywhere for them but instead you found different a familiar face.
"Mason?"
"Y/n! Hey, I didn't realize you were here."
Your ex-boyfriend went for a hug as he greeted you. You and Mason ended your relationship over a year ago, and though you felt no animosity towards the football player, the breakup had been hard as everybody on the internet seemed to have an opinion on it. It was mutual breakup, you both were in different stages in your life and it just seemed like it wasn't your time.
"Yeah, I was celebrating y/bff/n's birthday with a few other girls, but I have no idea where they are and they have my cell." You were starting to get frustrated as you felt like they left without you.
"Oh no, I would help you look but I'm about to head out. Let me give you a ride home, I would hate for you to be here by yourself."
You knew if somebody saw you and Mason alone it would cause chaos all over again, but you had no other choice at the moment and you just wanted to go to bed. You agreed and as you left you both were oblivious to the cameras taking pictures of you leaving through the back door together.
As you pulled up to your hotel you smiled at Mason and thanked him.
"You're a lifesaver Mase seriously, I don't know what I would've done if I never found them or you."
"You don't have to thank me y/n. I will always look out for you even if we're broken up. I still care for you."
"You're a great friend, I'll always look out for you too."
"And um I have to ask,"
You could tell he was nervous as he scratched the back of his neck and his cheeks flushed slightly.
"What is it Mase?"
"Do you love him?"
You were surprised by the question, not expecting him to bring up Lando.
"Um yeah-yes. I love him so much, I can't even find the words to describe it to be honest. I don't think any song I write can even measure to how strong my love is for him."
"That's good, yeah, that's great. I just, I'm happy you found your person y/n. You know, I thought that person would be me, but if you're happy, than I am too. I guess we just weren't meant to be."
"Mase, you're one of the most amazing people I've met, seriously. I don't think it was ever in the cards for us, but you've taught me so much and you'll always have a special place in my heart. You will find your person one day, I promise."
You smiled at Mason as you spoke, not realizing you had given him the closure he had been needing for a year.
Tumblr media
Lando was freaking out.
He had been sent the article of you and Mason over 5 times already and you hadn't answered your phone in over 2 hours. His mind was reeling as he was thinking about what you could possibly be doing right now. Even though he trusted you more than anything, he couldn't help but let it get to him. Why aren't you answering?
He knew your phone was charged and turned on considering he can still see your location. As he checked it again, he realized you were no longer at the club. You were at someone's apartment. Why weren't you at your hotel? Who's apartment was this?
Before he let himself jump to conclusions, he called y/bff/n knowing you two went out together.
"LANDOOOO! HI."
"Y/bff/n, hey is y/n with you?"
"Y/n? Oh nooooo. Aw I miss her Lan, is she with you?"
"What? No, how could she be with me? I'm in Monaco right now."
"Oh. Then I'm not so sure."
Lando could feel himself getting frustrated as he spoke with the clearly intoxicated girl.
"Okay, did she go home with you? With anyone else?"
"I don't know, you should probably call her or something."
"I did, over 10 times in the past hour."
"Oh maybe she's busy! Let me know how it goes, bye!"
"Wait-"
She hung up. Lando was going to throw up. He was never considered himself as an insecure guy, but he couldn't help but feel there was something going on. He's seen those tweets and comments saying how much everyone loved you and Mason together. What if those comments made you realize they were right? What if you were with Mason right now? Lando wanted to cry, scream and throw up all at once.
Tumblr media
Three loud knocks woke you up from your beauty sleep. You were still in last night's clothes as you were too tired to even change after the nights disaster. You opened the door and your best friend ran in and hugged you.
"Y/N! I'm so so sorry for leaving you all by yourself. I was completely blacked out and I guess I was acting sloppy because y/f/n said we got kicked out of the club! I was acting too drunk and they got mad im so so sorry, this is all my fault and we tried to tell security to get you but they were so mean and-"
"Y/bff/n stop. It's fine, it was your birthday, you deserved to act a little crazy."
"Still babe, I'm sorry. Now that article is being spread like crazy and it's all because of me."
"What are you talking about? What article?"
"Shit. I forgot, here's your phone. But I have to warn you, people saw you leaving the club with Mason last night and the rumors have already begun. Im sorry hun."
Oh god.

The notifications were endless as you scrolled through your phone but there was only one that you really cared about. You immediately called Lando, afraid he was angry at you for this mess.
"Lan, baby, I'm so sorry for worrying you. I just opened your messages, y/bff/n had my phone all night." You immediately gave him a run down of the night as you knew what it was like to be in his position. The media has circulated so many rumors about your relationship overnight and you knew how hard that was. You had dealt with it all throughout your career and you were heartbroken it was happening to Lando because of you.
"That's weird because I actually called y/bff/n last night and she did not mention she had your phone."
"She was so out of it last night, she probably forgot she even had it. Oh god, she was downing shots I'm honestly not even surprised she got kicked out, she was so crazy-"
"Y/n, you don't understand, I have not slept all night. I was worried and everyone is talking about this. I look like an idiot in this situation."
You knew Lando was going to be upset but after your explanation, you didn't expect for him to still be angry at you.
"I know, the night was a mess, but nothing happened with Mason. He just dropped me off and I'm grateful it was him and not some random taxi."
"You're grateful it was him? You're grateful these pictures are all over the internet?"
"That's not what I meant! I meant he was the safest option at that moment, I had nobody else."
"Yeah. Half of the internet is happy it was him. People are actually celebrating thinking you guys are back together."
"Don't listen to them Lan, me and Mase are never getting back together. People will accept it over time and this will blow over."
"Why are you being so casual about this? Do you even know how I felt last night when you weren't answering. I was going to be sick thinking what you could possibly be doing with him."
"Lan, I told you nothing happened. Why aren't you believing me?"
"This is just all too much." Lando knew he was overreacting a bit. Your story made sense and it all lined up, but he had spent the entire night overthinking and reading the rumors about you two that he couldn't get them out of his mind. He loved you so much and last night made him realize how easily he can lose you and that thought terrified him. You were everything to him, but did you really feel the same way?
"Are you breaking up with me? Seriously? Over a stupid tabloid, I can't believe this." You felt betrayed. Did he not trust you?
"I dont know, it's just hard for me wrap my head around this right now."
"Lan, my flight to Monaco leaves in a few hours, how about we just talk about this in person when our heads are clear?"
Lando was getting angrier as the call went on. He knew his insecurities were getting the best of him right now but he felt like you weren't listening to him. You were trying to brush this off when the whole world was going against you two right now.
"Wow Y/n. My heads pretty fucking clear right now. You know what? Maybe it's best if you don't come, yeah?"
"Yeah, okay."

TW: Crying babies, Angry babies, Desperate dad!alastor
Description: ☝️⬆️
Alastor is a firm believer in keeping a smile on one's face no matter what is happening
Your husband lives by it and is always smiling no matter what, it's part of why you love him so much
It used to annoy you when you were upset or fighting with him, but you've learned to read him through other ways
Like with his eyes, his ears, the different smiles he gives, his body language and tones
His smile happens to be contagious and whenever you're with him, you can't help but smile too
"My dear, your smile is one of the most beautiful things I have ever laid my eyes on~"
It helps that he's so damn charming...
You always try to smile for him even when you're crying, in pain, or scared... something that breaks his heart and also makes him proud of you
The twins seem to take after their father and smile every day, laughing in the face of chaos and cooing at the deadliest of demons
Even when they just wake up, the first thing they do is smile at you and Alastor which is a great way to start the day
But they still have their bad days and sometimes they lose their happy smiles, much to the dismay of your husband
He can handle it if his babies are flustered or angry, usually able to problem solve and fix it for them
"Now now~ There's no need for such a face, put that smile back on and papa will make things right~"
Lots of placating pats and little nuzzles along their cheeks until the babies finally start smiling again
Grumpy? That's even easier because papa knows a few funny tricks to get them laughing again
"Now just what is that behind your ear~? Hm~? Oh my! You're quite a lucky one to have a chocolate hiding behind your ears!"
Or if they get hurt and start to cry? He can handle that to, cleaning and bandaging up his babies up before giving the wound a kiss to make it better
"Mwah~! Now that boo-boo has no choice but to go away~ How's about we go inside now, hm?"
Adores his children's laughter and squeals, loves being the reason their faces light up with happiness
But when they're sad? It's so much harder for Alastor to handle because he hates knowing his children are feeling that emotion
Because sadness is something that lingers even after problems have been solved and things have gone back to normal
He just holds them tight and hopes that with enough love and affection that things will be made better
The poor man almost looks ready to cry himself, bouncing the baby in his arms while rubbing their back in a desperate attempt to soothe them
"There there...it's okay, everything is okay...papa is here now...please be happy again..."
If that doesn't work, then he'll come find you, hoping that the two of you can stop the tears
Sits the babies between the two of you and looks to you for help because he doesn't know what to do to make it better
He can't treat them the same way he treats everyone else, his kids are special
He loves his children so much, and it hurts him to see such a raw emotion on their little faces
His smile is wobbly and his eyes are worried, leaning into the feeling of your hand on his cheek
"We can do this, darling, don't doubt the power you have to make our children happy."
Watches as you pick up one baby and hold them to your chest, humming softly to them while pressing a small kiss on their head
He copies you, and immediately, his heart breaks at how tightly his baby is clinging to him, watery eyes staring up at him
He brushes a hand over trembling ears and makes sure to give his baby the most reassuring smile
"My my...aren't you a little underdressed right now?"
Now his baby looks confused, ears pricking up as a clawed finger wipes away a few tears
"You know, you're never fully dressed without a smile~"
He rubs noses with his baby and feels his heart soar when he hears a little giggle, followed by the feeling of tiny hands on his face
Alastor is so relieved that his baby isn't sad anymore, squeezing them tightly and peppering kisses all over their face
And he's definitely not blushing or a little flustered when he notices you're watching him with a warm smile
"Why don't you give them a show? They love listening to their papa sing..."
He can't refuse that, getting both babies settled in your lap before dramatically taking stage, music erupting from a radio
You're looking at him like he's the most wonderful man in the world, like he's not some vicious evil demon who terrorizes people
And his babies are gazing at him like he hung each star in the sky for them, like he can do anything
But most importantly, you're all smiling
🎶 "Hey! Hobo man! Hey Dapper Dan!"🎶

Human Resources (NSFW) FT Hyewon Kang
Tumblr media
You were working on tightening up Leo's datasheet when Hyewon's teams' message popped up in your feed. You ignored it until you finished cleaning up the datasheet. after that, you read Hyewon's message carefully.
"Hey, can you come to my office? I need to talk to you about something." The message read, and your heart sank. You knew Hyewon, or as you used to call her, Hyem. When you first started working at this company, she was your first friend, the one who made the daunting transition into a new job feel manageable. But then the big boss—the dreaded Miyawaki—made a very expedited decree that there would be no "special associations at work." That all but killed your budding relationship with the HR specialist.
You avoided her with all your might after that. No more talking about shared musical tastes or the latest anime; it was just "Hi" and "Bye." It was rough, but you endured it. Rules were rules, after all. Although increasingly, it felt like it was more rules for them and not for me, as an increasing number of your coworkers became engaged in "special associations."
You arrive in Hyewon's office after narrowly avoiding Leo, and Nako making out in the office of his door. "So much for professionalism," you mutter as you turn a corner. Before you cross the threshold you hear from down the hall.
"Yes fuck my pussy," being yelled/moaned by the Event coordinator Yena and your friend Levi. You grimaced as another one of your friends fell to this almost permeable lust that had taken everyone over, but hey at least they're not as bad as Eunbi and Izzy because that is the last time you work on a Saturday. Hesitantly you open the door and see Hyewon and she looks pissed. her pretty face is contorted in an annoyed grimace that leaves you worried.
"Hey Hyewon," you say hesitantly hoping to ameliorate whatever has her so livid, but you'd be remiss if you didn't mention how her anger was such a turn-on. it was the fourth thing you two bonded over, both of you were chaos gremlins who reveled in indignation.
when she hears your voice she looks up at you with a pleasant smile before saying, "Oh good you're here. Close the door." you do as she says and sit in the chairs across her desk as she sits in her chair.
"I suppose you're wondering why I messaged you to come in," Hyewon said calmly.
you are about to speak but are interrupted when you hear a familiar voice moan,
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, make me cum daddy," you recognize the voice, and you are livid.
"that arrogant and egotistical bitch." you say. You can feel a smirk tugging at the corners of your mouth despite yourself. Her passion, her fire—it’s one of the things you admire, and miss most about her. "Yeah, that sounds pretty typical," you reply, trying to keep your tone soothing yet acknowledging the absurdity. "It’s like they get off on making our lives difficult."
Hyewon’s eyes narrow, her irritation still palpable but now mixed with a hint of amusement. "Exactly! And they don't even follow their own rules. If I have to hear about another office romance getting special treatment while we’re here drowning in work because we follow the rules, I might scream. Especially since Sakura can't keep her hands off what's his name?"
"Momotaro" You answer.
"Thanks, sweetie," Hyewon says in a tone that's both adorable and alluring. you sit in your chair trying to hide your growing erection. Hyewon doesn't seem to notice.
Hyewon takes a deep breath, her fingers tapping lightly on her desk. "I know things have been... different between us since Miyawaki's decree. I hate how it affected our friendship."
You nod, feeling a knot form in your stomach. "Yeah, it’s been tough. I miss our talks."
"Me too," she says, her voice softer now. "But, I noticed something lately. A lot of our coworkers seem to be ignoring that rule, and nothing's happened to them. It seems unfair that we had to stop being friends because of it."
You lean back in your chair, considering her words. "I've noticed that too. It's like the rules only apply to some people, and it doesn't seem right."
Hyewon nods vigorously. "Exactly. And I was thinking... maybe it's time we stopped letting it dictate our friendship. If others can have their 'special associations' without consequence, why should we be any different?"
A spark of hope ignites within you. "You think we can just... go back to how things were?"
"I do," she says firmly. "But more than that, I want us to catch up properly. There's a lot we've missed out on. I was wondering if you'd like to go grab lunch with me today. We can talk about everything—anime, music, life."
"Great," Hyewon says, her smile mirroring yours. "Let's meet at noon and catch up properly."
"Hell yeah, screw her. Hell, let's get lunch right now. Since the whole office is entangled in each other right now," you respond with a grin.
Hyewon smiles, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she grabs her coat and mask. "Sounds like a plan." The two of you head to her car and hop in. She speeds off towards the Korean BBQ place you two were supposed to go to a year ago before everything got complicated.
On the way there, you both fall into a comfortable conversation, the familiarity of old friends making the time fly by.
"So when did Momo and Kura become a thing?" you ask, curiosity piqued.
Hyewon chuckles, shaking her head. "I don't know exactly, but I think they started getting closer about two and a half weeks ago. That's when I noticed a change in their interactions. They started using nicknames and having more one-on-one meetings."
You raise an eyebrow. "Nicknames? Really? That's bold, even for them."
"Yeah, it's like they're not even trying to hide it," Hyewon says with a scoff. "I mean, good for them, I guess, but it’s just so hypocritical. Miyawaki's decree doesn't apply to them."
"Of course not," you agree, rolling your eyes. "It's like there's one set of rules for them and another for the rest of us."
"You know three days ago I caught her giving him a blowjob in her office after she has scheduled a meeting with me to discuss my relationship with you."
"That's such bullshit," you affirm. Hyewon nods.
At the restaurant, the two of you finally have a chance to catch up after nearly a year apart. The ambiance is cozy, with soft lighting and a low hum of conversation filling the air. You settle into a booth by the window, and the familiar scent of grilled food and fresh coffee instantly makes you feel at ease.
"So, what have you been up to?" Hyewon asks, her eyes twinkling with curiosity as she takes a sip of her iced tea.
You smile, thinking back over the past year. "Honestly, just the usual grind. But I did get into a few new shows. Have you seen Elric of Melibone?"
Hyewon's face lights up. "Yes! It's amazing, right? I love the way they adapted the books. Henry Cavill as Elric is just perfect."
"I know, right?" you say, leaning forward. "The storytelling is fantastic. And the fight scenes! The choreography is just insane."
Hyewon nods enthusiastically. "Totally. Oh, and I've been watching Demon Slayer. The animation is out of this world. Have you seen it?"
"I have! The colors, the details, everything is just so beautiful. Plus, the story is gripping. I can't wait for the next season."
The conversation flows effortlessly as you both delve into the different shows and anime you've been enjoying. It's as if no time has passed at all. You talk about the latest season of Stranger Things, the mind-bending twists in Westworld, and the nostalgic joy of rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender.
"Do you remember how we used to binge-watch Naruto back after work to avoid traffic when we started?" Hyewon reminisces with a laugh. "We'd stay up all night just to see what happened next."
You chuckle, nodding. "Of course! And we had those ridiculous debates about who was the strongest character. Good times."
The waiter comes by to refill your drinks and take your orders, and you continue to chat about your favorite episodes and characters. The restaurant gradually empties as the evening progresses, but you hardly notice, lost in conversation.
By the time you both decide to head back to the office, the sun has dipped below noon, casting long shadows across the pavement. The walk back is filled with more laughter and stories, and it feels like no time has passed since you last hung out.
When the two of you get back to the office, it's empty. The usual bustle and noise are replaced by an almost eerie silence, the kind that only happens when everyone else has left for the day.
"Looks like we have the place to ourselves," you remark, flipping on the lights.
"I wonder where everyone went," Hyewon says sarcastically, knowing the two of you would be here alone until the end of the business day. She rolls her eyes as she glances around the empty office, the desks barren and the usual hum of chatter conspicuously absent.
"Probably off doing stuff," you reply with a smirk, shaking your head. "It's like Valentine's Day came early or something."
Hyewon snorts her expression a mix of amusement and annoyance. "Right? It's not like we have a ton of work to get through or anything." Her sarcasm is as sharp as ever, and you can't help but laugh.
Since you have the office to yourselves, the two of you decide to take advantage of the peace and quiet. You gather your work laptops and head into the conference room, setting up to watch Attack on Titan from the beginning together.
As the first episode starts, you both dive into your tasks, the sound of Eren's declarations of vengeance serves as hype background noise. The rhythm of work and anime is oddly comforting. You blaze through spreadsheets and reports, pausing only when a particularly intense scene demands your full attention.
During a mini-break, Hyewon leans back in her chair, stretching her arms above her head. "You know," she muses, "I bet all those couples are out there spending a fortune on overpriced dinners and romantic getaways, while we're here getting stuff done and watching some of the best anime ever made."
You chuckle, nodding in agreement. "We are doing better. Plus, no distractions from people asking about our weekend plans or trying to set us up with their single friends."
"Ugh, exactly," Hyewon groans, rolling her eyes dramatically. "If I hear one more story about someone's perfect date, I might just scream."
The two of you share a knowing look, bonded by your mutual disdain for the forced romanticism that seems to have overtaken your colleagues. Another episode ends, and you both get back to work, the sound of keystrokes mingling with the anime's soundtrack.
By the end of the shift, you've not only finished half a season but also completed four days' worth of work. Hyewon shuts her laptop with a satisfied sigh. "See? Who needs romantic distractions when we've got Titans to slay and work to conquer?"
You nod, feeling a sense of camaraderie and accomplishment. "Exactly. Same time tomorrow?"
"Absolutely," Hyewon grins, standing up and stretching again. "Let's see if we can finish the season and clear out the rest of the week's tasks."
You smiled as you nodded. While everyone else was off chasing romance, you and Hyewon had created your own little sanctuary of productivity and anime, and it was perfect. Before you get too invested you take a look at your watch.
"Oh shit it's 5 pm Already," you say looking at your watch. you groan. you should have left three hours ago but being here with Hyewon made the time fly by. you begin to pack up for the day but Hyewon has other plans. She gets up from her office chair and pulls you into a competition of who has the strongest tongue. She wins due to the element of surprise as you clumsily accept her kiss. when she breaks the kiss she looks at you with lust.
"You know what we should do?" she says
"Hang out at your place so I don't have to drive home and be stuck in 3-hour traffic?" Hyewon smiles.
"Yes that, but also we should fuck in Sakura's office as payback." Hyewon proposes. you nod and smile wickedly. the two of you walk up to Sakura's office. the golden hour shades Hyewon in an almost godly glow. you smile watching her.
"What?" she says bashfully as she catches your gaze. you laugh and say,
"I can't look at my beautiful girlfriend now?" Hyewon blushes at your words before lifting her sun dress's straps off her shoulders showing her toned and fit body.
"God I should go to the gym," you note. Hyewon shakes her head as she pulls you in for a kiss.
"and get rid of all this beefcake. I don't think so," Hyewon asserted before kissing you. Your hands run up and down her thighs, as I try to figure out what to do with my hands before Hyewon confidently puts them on her breasts. She breaks the kiss and begins to suck around your collarbone and neck.
"I want everyone in this office to know you're mine now, and there's nothing they can do because if they complain all I'll say is. I can file a complaint but I will have to report your indiscretions around Mrs. Miyawaki's policy as well." Hyewon declared before taking you into another kiss. you smiled as she began to grind her clothed pussy toward you. you moan into the kiss.
"Oh darling you're so hard for me. I love it. I have been thinking about this all morning."
You smile and say, "Oh really you dirty girl." Hyewon smiles before turning around and inviting you to pound her pussy. You don't even think twice as you strip out of your office clothes and plunge right into her. her wet cunt readily accepts your intrusion as Hyewon moans.
"Fuck your fat cock is filling me so well." you smile as you begin to thrust into her the indignation both of you felt about this stupid situation has you reeling as you pound into her pussy relentlessly. Hyewon moans enraptured by your cock as she takes it.
"yes, yes, yes. I'm close." Hyewon moans through your fervent and frustrated thrust. the both of you needed this. needed to defile your bitch of a boss's office so when she came you knew to push her onto your boss's desk as she squirted all over the wood and metal. when she was done she smeared all of her cum over the desk and made sure it was fully absorbed before going back to you.
"I want you to finish in her chair so when she comes in tomorrow she's bombarded by the smell of our sex," she says you smile at her dark little heart's desire and follow her as she guides you by the dick. she begins to stroke you while she whispers the most evil words of encouragement,
"Please cum. make her wallow in our sex. make her pay for separating us for a year and a half. Make her pay for all the times we could have movie dates, or gone to stay in nights just playing video games together. make her pay for all the stolen orgasms we could have had together. make her pay for all the time lost." her words are so enticing that your cum races out as your orgasm hits you like a train and your cum plasters her chair. Hyewon smiles and gestures for you to get both of y'all's clothes. while the two of you get dressed Hyewon says.
"I guess now you can officially say "HR has fucked me" like everyone else does" You laugh at Hyewon's terrible joke before going back to her place for the night.

Hey guys, welcome to I've Never Said This Before with me, Tommy Didario.
If you are not watching 9-1-1 on ABC, you are seriously missing out. The show is so phenomenal that it has been renewed for an eighth season and, my guest today—well, he is phenomenal as well. In fact, he is on my show because of you. I saw all of the tweets, the DMs, the emails—all of it so, like a genie in a bottle, your wish has been granted.
The talented actor Ryan Guzman stars in the smash hit firefighter drama series 9-1-1 and audiences fell in love with his character, Eddie, the moment he debuted in Episode 1 of Season 2. Man, he has become a staple on the show and fans have been rooting for Eddie throughout the years, and Ryan plays each moment of Eddie's journey with such care and vulnerability and truth.
We have a lot to cover today and I have a feeling you're going to really enjoy this fun but also personal and deep conversation. We do dive into some very serious mental health conversations, so after the interview, I will be providing resources for anyone struggling with their own mental health. This is one of the most powerful interviews I have ever done, and I really thank Ryan for opening up in the ways that he did today because I know that he is going to help so many people out there feel less alone.
So, let's see if we can get Ryan to say something he has never said before.
[INTRO MUSIC]
Ryan, my friend, how are you doing today?
I'm good, brother. How are you?
I'm good. I know you have been working your butt off. You were just saying you were filming all night. Are you exhausted or are you on adrenaline right now?
A little mixture of both. I got a little coffee pumped through my system. But yeah, I think I worked six out of seven days this last week. We've been doing around 14, 15 hour days. And I just got off last night around 1.30 in the morning. So got home around 2.30. But we're here. We're here.
Well, you were putting in the work. Congratulations to you on all of the success with this show. It's of course now on ABC. People are loving it. The numbers are going insane. And you've always been a fan favorite from day one. When you had that first scene of you putting that shirt on in slow motion and your body was glistening and Whatta Man was playing, people just fell in love with your character. But that's not just why they love your character. I mean, over the seasons, people have found you so relatable and and really, really are truly invested in the role that you play. Why do you think that is?
I like to say that, I mean, I try to play as grounded as I can, but I think the story itself is just the way Tim Minear writes the character. And I think he's always had a special connection with this kind of character. So, just indebted to how he writes and the connectivity between Eddie and his son. I mean, it's just like it pulls at the heartstrings, you know, and that's always been a fan favorite as well. So, you know, I'm living in gratitude for everything that's been written for that character and I try to do as much justice as I can.
Well, you're nearing the end of Season 7 and past seasons for you have been a bit heavier, a bit more intense. You've really gone through quite a lot of things that we'll touch on a bit later, which I know is also part of the reason why so many people relate to you. Are you enjoying this journey this season?
Yeah, you know what? I haven't really been able to kind of flex my humorous side and just kind of lightheartedness, kind of a vibe about Eddie, and I love that aspect of him. So while everybody else is kind of going through chaos, while Cap is going through chaos, Eddie is kind of, you know, trying to keep everybody together while, you know, Chimney and Hen be going at it during the tsunami and The Poseidon Adventure, Eddie is just, you know, being there for everybody as much as he can. So not to say that he's always going to be happy because Tim always has this thing about saying, you know, if I just let you guys be happy, then there'd be no story. You got to have some kind of drama. Nobody wants to show up just for people smiling all the time. But yeah, we've got some things in store for the rest of the season. And from what we've already shot, I've been super pleased about, you know, this new way of life for Eddie.
Like I said, the things you've gone through are intense throughout the years. Do you have any fear stepping into this role or any anxiety before you had to film some of those more intense scenes? Because it's a lot.
Yeah, you know what? Prior to 9-1-1, I might have had some fears about the depth of a lot of the things that we shot. I honestly didn't really call myself an actor until like maybe three and a half years ago.
No.
Yeah. I thought I was just fooling everybody, trying to get jobs and land the movies that I was getting. And then I think somewhere around the third season, a co-star of mine kind of, like, metaphorically slapped me in the face and said, you know, let's really get into this, man. You got some really good opportunity here. So that's when I started calling myself an actor. But to be honest, the depth of Eddie in the past three, four seasons has been amazing as just a class. It's been class for me. It's been an opportunity to flex these emotions that I don't get to flex in my day-to-day life and to access certain things and see how far can I push Eddie, how, you know, in the scene where Eddie is just losing his stuff and he's breaking everything in his house. Obviously, I've never done it in my house, but how do I get there? How can I allow the audience to feel what I'm feeling? And that task itself becomes a challenge. And I really [like] that type of challenge. So again, living in gratitude for all the little things that Eddie presents that, you know, I haven't really been presenting my own life.
So with that being said, is there a storyline that's particularly special to you for any given reason?
I kind of lean automatically towards the military/PTSD just because I have a cousin who served six tours and, you know, he shared with me—and I actually, oddly enough, during the episode of Eddie Begins, I brought him on as a military tech and he helped out everybody in the production. His name is Randy Hudson. I, you know, I love that guy to death—but, yeah, he's shared with me a lot of his issues that he's gone through and a lot of the obstacles he's gone through in his day to day life and what it's like to be a military vet coming back and kind of assimilating back into civilian lifestyle. So that storyline always kind of held a special place in my heart just because it was very close connected with me and my own family. And I always hope that, you know, I did it justice enough for everybody that has that story ingrained in them.
I think you definitely did. I saw a lot of comments when I announced you as my guest saying that that was a very meaningful part of your journey on this show. I'm so curious, you know, quite often in television it moves so fast, there's always rewrites or so much going on. Was there ever a story that you wanted to come to fruition that never did?
I hated the fact that we killed off Shannon so quick. I know she wasn't a very likable character for so many different reasons, but I always loved working with Devin. So I would love to explore a little bit more with that. But yeah, there's always beauty and chaos a little bit. So I would have loved the relationship, mother, father, parenting style aspect of Eddie's life to be a more explored, but unfortunately that can't happen anymore.
There's always so many things going on. I'm sure it's hard to fit them into each episode, and I'm sure things do have to get cut because major things keep happening episode after episode, one of them being recently, of course, Buck realized he's Bi and that's a storyline everyone's going crazy over. Did you see that coming? Were you like, I think one day this is going to happen for him?
Well, I mean, it's always kind of been in the ether. Everybody, you know, all the fans, you know, have their speculations about Eddie and Buck and, you know, for the longest time, I think Oliver and I again had lightheartedness to it. We always kind of like saw it as like, oh, at least they're so interested in our characters. Thank God they're interested in our characters. They're not ignoring us, and I don't know if either of us had a pinpoint, you know, idea on which character or if any character would actually lead in that way.
But again, all credit to Tim Minear. He's the one that knows the way. So he chose Buck's character to explore that route. And now seeing it happen in front of our eyes, it makes so much sense. And it just the way him, Buck and Tommy are getting together and the way they're exploring their own individuality and personality. It's beautiful to watch. I was very excited to see, you know, that episode specifically, just for the fact that it was such a moment between, you know, a friend and another friend who had held this huge secret. And how do you come out to your friend?
I had a friend, you know—because I know I've had this actually in my own personal life. I've said this in prior interviews—I had a friend who was deadly scared of coming out to me. And I realized that that moment itself wasn't so much the journey for me, you know, it was this hard journey for himself. And all I had to do was catch. I just had to be there for him, and I was like, that moment itself is so beautiful. I can't wait to do that scene. I can't wait to, you know, show the world like this is how you be there for your brother.
Wow, how cool that you could pull from your real life experience and make that scene even more special, which is why I think it came off so incredibly powerful. It really was so cool to see. And the reception has been absolutely incredible in terms of people feeling like, you know, they're seen through that character and it's on prime-time TV. And you don't see a ton of that, which is still kind of crazy. But, you know, and of course, there were some negative comments, which blows my mind. I mean, I'm sure that blew your mind, too, to see that because who cares, right?
Honestly, I've got this now filter for negative comments. They just kind of seep right through and I don't even hold on to anything. So all I've seen is really, really good comments.
And one of the best parts is actually I've gone to work and Oliver himself has been like telling me these stories of people saying, man, I did not have the strength to come out until way later on in my life. So I'm like, oh man, could you imagine 20, 30 years of holding on to this repressed thing and then it just eating away at you and not being able to say anything, even to the closest people and then seeing something on television to inspire you. That kind of thing is just like, whoa, okay, we're doing something much greater, much bigger than us.
He's not the only one inspiring its characters like you because you're showing, you know, what an ally means, and I think that's really cool to see this like macho, cool guy that's just like, cool, like who cares? And that's also equally as powerful and as important. Before we put a pin on this, you know, part of the conversation, you mentioned you never know what the writers are going to do, and I think there were talks at one point of possibly Eddie being the one to come out in some sort of way. Do you laugh and have fun with all of the fandom's obsession with you as Eddie and Buck getting together? Like, is that something you guys always are seeing and hearing? And I know everyone brings it up to you and it's something that's always looming. Like, how do you react to that? Does it ever get tiring for you?
Again, if the fans are interested, we're doing our job. So I love the love. And I mean, unfortunately, I'm not the one that writes it. So it's all up to Tim. But me and Oliver have a really good time with the fact that, you know, people are so invested into these storylines. And in fact, they're so invested, they're creating their own storylines. They're sending us clips and edits and videos. And, you know, every now and then, Oliver will show me something, I'll show Oliver something. Like, did we actually do this in a scene? Because they cut it so well together.
Yeah.
So, yeah, I think at the end of the day, you know, we just love the love. We're here to entertain and tell the truth. If it's true to the character, then yeah.”
[COMMERCIAL BREAK]
You can't predict the future. Nobody can on this show. But if the opportunity one day happened to come your way where they were like, this storyline might be explored between Buck and Eddie, would you be open to that storyline in the future? I see you smiling. I see Oliver had the same reaction, a big ass grin on his face when I asked this.
Yeah, you know, like I said, it's got to live in the truth and I think right now we live in a moment—or me, I live moment to moment—so I love the fact that the biggest plot point between these two characters is one happens to be Bi, one happens to be Hetero, and they have this vulnerability towards each other. And that is the truth to me is it's the fact that you have such a safe space and it doesn't matter your sexuality, that you have a safe space to talk to this individual and he can fully accept you. If we can stay with that, then whatever happens, happens.
But I don't necessarily want to push the fact that because you're vulnerable, you have to be one way or the other in your sexuality. Then I would hate to have a lot of other men who are struggling mentally and not sure about, oh, do I even open up? Because will that make me something that I'm not? I would hate to push that narrative. So if we live in the truth, whatever happens, happens. And again, I'm here for it all.
Whatever happens, happens. That's a nice way to put it. And I agree with you. I think there's power in both. I think there's power in showing a strong friendship that you don't always get to see. And then there's power if something eventually does happen. So whatever happens, happens. I like that, man. What can we expect for the rest of the season with your characters? Anything you can tease? The finale is coming up. We have a couple more weeks. What can we expect?
What can we expect? Well, we can expect that Eddie's smiles might turn to frowns.
Oh no.
Or at least confusion, maybe. We'll start to see, you know, has he gotten past certain traumas? Or is he just kind of pushed them to the side and acting like they're not there?
You know, I have to say a lot of people are still holding on to hope that we're going to get that karaoke scene.
I mean, yeah, we had such a good time playing that karaoke scene, and it was kind of a let down a little bit to know that it wasn't going to be in there. But now, again, looking at the episode itself, as fun as it would be, the main story was Chimney. And the way Kenneth Choi played Chimney, and that episode specifically—I mean, I think he got, you know, performance of the week for that—it would have been a disservice to add, you know, a three-minute scene of us laughing and having a great time and being drunks and karaoke and take away from that performance. So I'm glad that Tim made that decision, and I don't know if he has any plans on showing that later on or whatnot or having some extended clip version, but I can tell you this much, everybody from the cast to the crew to the background had a wild and crazy time doing that scene.
And I think what I just heard you say is you might accidentally drop it on your Instagram very soon.
I might get fired if I do that.
All right. Well, we'll see. I'll talk to ABC PR. No problem. What do you want to see for season eight? Like, are you thinking about the future? Is there like, OK, if I can have my way, I absolutely want to explore blank.
To be honest, there's so much going at us so rapid, so fast paced at this moment. The scripts are getting handed in like quick as can be. So we have a moment's notice to kind of know what we're doing and where we're going with our character. From what I know, from what I've shot thus far, I think next season will literally be a refresh button to Eddie. And starting over in so many different ways, so many new ways in which Eddie has never explored and we've never seen Eddie explore. He'll be on his own in a lot of areas.
Speaking of that, I have to bring up season five, the mental health breakdown, man. That was intense. And a lot of people felt very connected to that. How was it stepping into that scene for you and that storyline? Because it's pretty powerful.
Thank you. Man, that was cathartic, to be honest. It was I've gone through my own mental health issues as far as like, you know, my own depression and anxiety, and, you know, I was raised in an age where men aren't vulnerable and aren't allowed to show feelings. So that kind of repression is like a ticking time bomb, you know, especially for a person in Eddie's life, or his lifestyle. So to kind of relinquish this boundary of who Ryan is and step into Eddie and just kind of just full-on dive deep into these this well of emotion, it was, it was almost like therapy. It was crazy because, you know, from the second they started to say rolling, it's like my—I started to, you know, start bawling and crying, and when Buck comes in and, you know, he's trying to check in on me and the whole room is just all scattered around and I'm losing it—it's just like there was no semblance of Ryan anymore. It was just all Eddie and he was just lost, and that's what it is.
It's like if I were to look at my son, you know, five year old son, that's kind of what we revert back to is just this child that is just so scared and not having any sense of direction and—or hope that anybody will ever love him or ever see him. And it's just these like, you know, existential fears that come out within those tears, and that was my goal to portray that whole scene and then the scene following it. So to get there was just let go, just let go.
Well, the work you did was clearly honest and raw and vulnerable. You can't fake the work that you did in that. And it was really a powerful man for many people to kind of go through that with you and for people who have had their own experiences. And you're right, like, I'm from an old school Italian family. And, you know, you grow up thinking men don't go through that and men don't show those emotions. So to have that on prime-time TV is huge.
Yeah, I hope that helped out a lot of people. I hope that people were actually able to see that and at least, you know, go to their best guy friend, and, you know, I think that's what really needs to happen. As far as men, we need to lean on each other. You know, women have their own issues and they have their certain way of connecting with each other, but there's a special connection that you can have with your brother. And I give so much credit to quite a few of my personal brothers—including my actual brother—for allowing me to run to them in my moments of need, in my moments of feeling lost. And them, you know, being men themselves, not having to say one thing to me.
Or they can just, you know, if they see me in a moment of, you know, deep into a problem, they have the ability to say, well, here's a solution. And since I'm, you know, of like mind, I can be like, okay, you know what? Thank you for giving me some kind of direction. So yeah, I implore all men out there to kind of at least have one or two in your corner, you know, because we can't get anywhere without community.
Absolutely. What have you most learned about yourself through playing this character for so many years? You know, you joined in season two. It's been a lot of years now under your belt. Have you thought about that? Have you learned anything through playing, Eddie?
I've learned a lot through Eddie. I've learned patience. He's a—you know, he has a sense of patience that I didn't have in the beginning even prior to being a father, you know, and then kids itself, they teach you how to be patient. So, yeah, I've learned how to be there as a father. Kind of oddly enough, it was just living as one onscreen prior to actually being one in real life, it gave me, say, practice. I get to practice on television what I get to implore with my own children. And, you know, even if it's the worst thing for Eddie, you know, and I see him doing something horrible, at least I come back home, like, well, that can't happen. I can't do that with my kids. So, yeah, and in so many ways, it's helped me grow as a man, let alone a father.
That's pretty awesome when you can take things away from your job like that and become a better person. I love that so much. Can you believe you've been on the show for so long now? Do you ever think like, damn, that's not normal. That's the rarity in the business. So is that a cool feeling for you?
Yeah, I literally just had that moment yesterday. We were filming a scene, all of us, the whole cast, and I'm sitting outside—I can't tell you the location, that's going to blow something—I'm sitting outside one of the sets and I just had that moment to myself. I'm like, oh my God, I'm actually here. How did I get so lucky to be on not only just a television show, the number one television show out there, where we're in our seventh season and we're creating numbers that people don't even get in their first season? So again, if there's a moment to tap into, let's get into that gratitude again and just be super thankful that I was lucky enough to land this.
[COMMERCIAL BREAK]
That is so cool, and that's why I have no doubt you'll continue having so much success in your career and in your personal life because you keep bringing up gratitude, and it's very evident that's something you lead your life with. And in fact, I saw a recent Instagram post where you give a beautiful tribute to Twitch, and you credit him with being able to form connection with people in your life now and to different things and places, and I thought that was such a beautiful way to show people that you're working on yourself and you're a work in progress and that he helps you kind of open your eyes. So that was a really cool moment for you to also reveal.
Thank you, yeah. Yeah, I believe so much of the world right now is showcasing a polished version of themselves. And to be honest, I did it myself for so long that I've become tired of it, and I would much rather get to the raw—the raw, the unfiltered, the, you know, the mess ups, the, you know—I've stuck my foot in my mouth too many times. I've done, you know, stupid things in my life, and I never want to present myself as a person that does everything great because there's so many things I suck at.
So I think there's an opportunity within that rawness to invite others to become raw themselves, and for us to see that, you know, we're not competing with each other, we're competing with ourself and our own image of ourself and friends like, you know, a brother like, like Twitch, you know, and—not understanding what he was going through and that lack of connectivity that I always, you know, felt but never acted on, which again, I felt imposter syndrome for so long of calling him my brother. It really struck a chord in me and now I can't go backwards. Now I'm propelled forward to be like, is this conversation authentic between us or are we just kind of saying what we have to say just so we can pass on to the next person and create whatever that is? And I'm not here for that. I would much rather have that depth and I'd much rather have that rawness.
Beautifully said and a perfect segue into what I want to finish this conversation with, which is based off the title of the show: I've Never Said This Before. So I'm wondering, is there anything that comes to mind that you want to share today that you've never shared before?
Uh. Huh. Yeah, you know what? I've been thinking about this for so long and there's so many things, you know, that come to mind. One specifically, and I've been hesitant to actually say any of this for so long because, you know, it's been years upon years.
About six and a half, seven years ago—and I've really never said this out loud, especially onto a public platform—I had my own mental health crisis and I tried at one point in time to take my own life. And luckily, it didn't work. Luckily, I got a second chance by the grace of God. And from that moment forward, I've taken each step as an opportunity to erase what got me there and build on what allowed me to live forward. So I would say that that moment itself, in addition to what happened to my brother Twitch, are probably the two biggest fundamental moments of my entire life and have allowed me to have a deeper sense of mercy and empathy towards every individual.
So I would implore that all men renounce this fact of, you know, you're a tough man, you have to hold all this in, but lean on your brother, really lean on your brother. And if your brothers aren't being there in the way they need to be, find some new ones. Because that's another thing, if you don't have the people that are conducive to a healthy lifestyle and you're keeping on to them because of loyalty, let them go. There's plenty of other people. There's people that have been through your situation before that are willing and more than willing, you know, to help. So yeah, that was a big one.
Man, first of all, thank you for sharing something so personal and close to your heart with me today. I feel honored that you did open up and share that. And I'm truly—God, this could be another half hour conversation, so I'll keep it short—but I'm truly grateful that you are spreading that message today for anybody listening because, you know, mental health is a crisis and I think people sometimes look at you, they look at me, they think everything's perfect. We are, you know, in this public space and what can be wrong?
And when you humanize real shit like that, it makes people feel less alone. And you got through it, you realize that wasn't the right way to go about it and your life forever changed for the better, and I'm truly grateful that you put that message out today because you have no idea how many people you're going to be helping with that. And I truly know that that's something that's not easy to get off your chest. And for that, I thank you and I know so many people will be thanking you, and I hope you feel kind of like a little bit of a weight lifted that you share that hopefully.
Yeah, it's kind of hard to understand what I'm feeling at the moment. But I hope in what you said is true. And I hope that, again, I would love to do more for mental health, especially for men, I mean, just in general, to be honest. But yes, I hope that there is a new wave out there that's kind of taking over that we can actually have some cohesiveness and connection, a true understanding of what connection is. Let's revisit that. So this issue isn't a common issue anymore. If we can take that down, then let's do it. I'm here for it.
Beautifully said, and thank you again for sharing that. I could talk to you for hours, especially leaving with that. I think you're such a cool person. And you watch people, I get to talk to people all the time. But this to me was a real conversation, and that's what I value. That's why I have a show called I've Never Said This Before, and I want to talk about the projects that the fans love, but also leave room to talk about things that matter. I don't think there's enough of that. So I truly thank you for hanging out, for coming on, for talking about the fun of 911, which we all love, and it's killing it in every way, but also sharing a little piece of you. I hope you enjoyed the conversation as much as I have.
Thanks for having me, my man. Yeah, I had a great time.
Thank you, and remind everyone where, how, when, all the things about your show.
Yes, please watch Thursdays at 8 on ABC.
All right, and stay tuned for the karaoke scene that you just promised you will be dropping.
Yeah, maybe when I'm fired again.
All right, man, until we meet again, take care.
All right, brother.

I am so happy with the conclusion of BBC Ghosts.
There were so many things I loved about the final series that I can't even keep it all straight in my brain, I'll have to rewatch it all (and the Christmas special, of course! Must remember it's the not the true end yet!)
But something I can immediately say I loved was what they didn't do. See, that line in the trailer that turned out to be from episode 5 - about there being a pattern to when they move on - worried me. One of the best things about the show, to me, is how there truly is not any reason at all to why the ghosts are there, or when they go. It's something the creators have said over and over, and that the show has always backed up; we saw so many times that, unlike in most ghost media, addressing unfinished business or achieving emotional resolution changes absolutely nothing. Pat hit some sort of emotional resolution three times. And Julian realised the importance of family, and Robin saved someone’s life, and Thomas discovered the truth of his death, and so on and so on. Finding closure isn't the end, and equally, the end isn't predicated by a climatic conclusion. It just happens. And the same is true for why people become ghosts. It just happens. And you exist, and fill your days, and then you’re gone. And no one knows why.
It's kind of the most agnostic television show I've ever seen.
I love that. Every other afterlife show I've ever seen has some kind of reward and punishment system. Or at least says that there's a reason for things, some kind of higher power at play, not necessarily a god but something like it. Even the American adaptation felt the need to bring Hell into it, which is why I need to specify that I'm only talking about the British version here. And I feel like a lot of fans wanted there to be reasons too, or felt like there simply had to be, that it wasn't even a question. I get why - it's not just because it's the standard for ghost narratives. It's really uncomfortable to think about the randomness of life and death. But Mary didn't go because of anything that happened before that day, and Cap was never going to go because he came out, and one day, when they've all gone, there won't have been a reason for it.
Because the real point of BBC Ghosts is that there is no point. You’ve just got to make it through the days, surrounded by people that irritate you, trapped in a confusing world where you’re mostly powerless. And it sucks, and you're angry, and sad, and bored as hell. And you also find happiness in the mundane chaos, and you get really good at chess, and watch the ants in the garden, and write bad poetry, and read terrible romance novels, and gamble money you don't have, and go camping, and play games, and learn French, and watch reality TV, and have sex with a decapitated Tudor nobleman’s body, and dance to old music, and look at the stars, and find that you actually really love all those annoying people after all, and that’s the point.

Tumblr media
It’s been tough since you left for university. The feeling of withdrawal from Eddie was already setting in, even though you had only been away from your boyfriend for just about two weeks. The chaos of starting school had just been so much—from the hustle and bustle of orientation week to pages and pages of syllabi you had to read through and prepare for—you had barely spoken to Eddie for more than a few small, rushed phone conversations.
You and Eddie had even made a big deal of buying a landline phone for your dorm room before you left along with one for his bedroom, and you two hadn’t even got to use them for more than half an hour total.
But tonight was going to be the night. You had no assignments, and nothing else to do than call your boyfriend for as long as you both could stay awake.
Taking the handset in your left hand and already holding it up to the side of your head, you dialled your favourite phone number in the entire world.
You lied on your stomach against the mattress of your twin bed, listening closely to the dial tone. After a few seconds, Eddie answered and a smile tore across your face almost immediately.
“You’ve reached the gates of hell; what can I do for you today?”
You bit your lip to stop yourself from laughing at his stupid way of picking up the phone. “You know it’s me, Eddie. Don’t try to scare me off.”
“I just had to make sure, sweetheart.”
You decided you would tease him for that. “Oh, you got a lot of people calling you at nine in the evening?”
“Nope. Just one special little lady calling from her smart people asylum.”
Another joke you weren’t going to give him the satisfaction of laughing at. “Good. I don’t want to have to beat any other girls away from you when I come back for Thanksgiving.”
As soon as the words escaped your lips, you started to think about how far away that really was. It had been hard enough being away from each other for two months, you didn’t even want to think about being separate for two more months.
Eddie was clearly thinking about this too, because he quickly changed the subject. “What about you, baby? Anyone you’re talking to late at night when you aren’t on the phone with me?”
“Nope. Just you, Eds.” You responded honestly.
His tone changed from flirtatious to more sincere. “But you are making friends though, right? I don’t want you to have too good of a time, but I definitely don’t want you to be lonely.”
“I’m not lonely here, Eddie. Remember I told you about that group I eat dinner with? And I just joined a book club!”
“A book club, eh?” He tutted. “A shame. Bet they’re just gonna fill you up with the most basic of literature and turn you into a puppet for The Man.”
This one, you did laugh at. You twirled the phone’s cord around your index finger as you crafted your response. “Don’t worry, Eds. There’s only one man I would be a toy for.”
You could practically hear your boyfriend’s jaw drop through the phone.
“So it’s gonna be one of those phone calls, huh?”
You suddenly lost a whole lot of your confidence. Did he just want to chat and catch up tonight? Was he thinking the sexual aspect of your relationship would be gone once you left for college?
“If you don’t want to, that’s okay.” You rushed to say. “I was just thinking we could have a little fun and then talk about everything else until we fall asleep—”
“Sweetheart, of course I want to. I just wanted to tease you a bit because I can’t do it every day in person like we’re used to.” He told you with a slight laugh. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. I would never pass up an opportunity like this with you.”
That boosted your confidence back again. You shifted around to get as comfortable as you could on your tiny bed. “Oh, really? I’m that irresistible?”
“Of course.” He said honestly. “That’s why it was so hard to let you move away. Remember our last night together before you left?”
You absolutely remembered it. How could you forget? Although you had originally planned to go to bed early so you could get to school, Eddie had made you a romantic dinner at his trailer and he had ravished you all night as one of his goodbye presents to you.
Although you stand by every one of your dates with Eddie being one of the best nights of your life, that one had to take the cake so far.
“Yeah, I think it rings a bell.” You told him. “You want to try to recreate it like this?”
“Like, by ourselves? Over the phone?” He paused for a moment while he pretended to think about your offer. “Well, I’m not sure you would be able to match the euphoria brought on by my special moves, but we can try it.”
“Oh no.” You said with a giggle. “I don’t know how I’ll survive.”
“Well, you could start by taking off your pants. Wait, maybe I should ask what you’re wearing. What are you wearing, baby?”
Eddie was just so incredibly funny without even trying sometimes. You thought it was so incredibly him to get caught up on something like that, but still be able to turn it around and try to make it sexy.
You looked down at your body when you realised you actually couldn’t remember what you had even put on that morning. “Um, your Judas Priest tee shirt, some jean shorts, and the black matching set you like underneath.”
Instead of being upset that you stole his shirt like you were slightly worried he would be, Eddie seemed to like your outfit.
“That’s a good shirt; leave it on. But the bottoms can go.”
And you as he asked. You weren’t exactly sure how this was all going to go down, but you were excited nonetheless. Still lying down, you lifted your hips and shimmied out of your shorts.
“And what about you? You’re not wearing one of my shirts, are you?”
He chuckled into the phone. “No, sorry to disappoint you, sweetheart, but I’m wearing a nasty old pair of jeans and my Ozzy shirt.”
“Well, that’s no problem. The nasty old pants can come off. Then we can match.”
“I love the way you think.”
You could hear the clinking sounds made by Eddie undoing his belt through the phone and it shot a wave of anticipation down your torso and right between your legs. You pictured your boyfriend with his phone held between his jaw and his shoulder, so excited for what you were engaging in that he just had to get his jeans off as soon as possible.
“So,” Eddie started awkwardly, “Do you want to get all teasing with things or should we just get into it?”
You thought about it for a moment, then answered him. “I think we’ve been apart for too long. We shouldn’t deprive ourselves of each other for a second longer than necessary.”
“Amazing point, baby, as always.” There’s more shuffling on the other line, and you’re tempted to ask about it, but Eddie answers before you can even say anything. “Don’t mind me, just getting some lotion from the dresser. Not everyone here is as lubricationally gifted as you are, my dear.”
He was right; you were already getting wet. All you had done was think about the idea of you and Eddie getting off together, then you had taken off your jean shorts, and you had already made a mark on your underwear.
You didn’t want to start anything without Eddie, so you just opened your legs and let anticipation pool between them.
You could hear Eddie groan, then the springs of his old mattress creaked loudly.
“Alright, babe, let’s get into it.” He said. “I mean, I can do my thing here. How about you bring a hand down there and start playing with your pussy?”
It was clear through Eddie’s over-the-phone dirty talk that he was new to this, but who were you to judge? You did just as he told you, taking two fingers and starting to tease your clit.
The sounds of Eddie moving his hands up and down along his cock, muffled through the landline, just turned you on so much. Every few pumps, Eddie let out little grunts and moans, your favourite sounds.
“I’ve missed you so much, baby.” He told you, still getting himself off.
“I’ve been missing you too.” You replied sincerely. “I think about you every single day.”
You dipped two fingers into yourself and pumped them in and out, an attempt to replicate how your boyfriend can bring you to climax with just his fingers when he wants to. It worked somewhat; it was pleasing enough, especially when you used your thumb to rub your clit at the same time, but it just wasn’t Eddie’s fingers.
“There’s been times where I’ve been in class, not paying attention to a single thing the professor was saying, just thinking about us in the back of your van or out by Lover’s Lake…” You admitted.
Eddie seemed intrigued by this new idea. He absolutely knew what you were talking about, but he wanted to press more. “Yeah, tell me about that, sweetheart. What were we getting up to in the back of my van?”
“Remember that picnic we had after graduation? I was running through that whole day in my head, like it was on loop. I loved that day so much. I love you so much, Eds.”
He let out one loud moan that seemed to echo off the walls of his trailer. You knew exactly what that sound meant, but he confirmed it for you between heavy breaths anyways.
“Shit, I just made a big ass mess on my shirt.”
“Well, maybe when I’m done, I can make a mess on your shirt too.”
“Yeah, you just gotta keep going, playing with yourself. Are you thinking about my fingers, my mouth, or my dick?”
“Your fingers. I wish you were really here.” You sighed. “I’m close.”
Eddie told you to keep rubbing yourself and playing with your pussy, and you did so until you felt the knot in your stomach burst.
You found yourself breathing heavily, just as Eddie was a moment ago, and now neither of you were saying anything. You held the handset of the phone against your chest and watched as it rose and fell with each deep inhale and exhale you took.
Finally, you heard Eddie’s muffled voice and brought the phone back up to your head.
“I was thinking I should make the drive up to see you next weekend, what do you think?” He offered. “Maybe we could recreate tonight in person, amongst other things.”You held back an ecstatic squeal from leaving you. Maybe university wasn’t going to be bad at all, you thought.

TWST Guys Bringing You Home!: Heartslabyul Edition
Welcome to part one, I'm planning on writing all the dorms + Idia. Ortho will just be included with him, personally, since Ortho is too adorable to ever defile in any manner outside of being a cute little brother. Headcannons, headcannons, headcannons! Let's start this off with some cottoncandy fluff, shall we? Not gonna lie, I felt like a mom gushing about all her chaos children over tea writing this. I hope you enjoy these headcannons, and let me know your thoughts. I love interaction and would love to hold a conversation with you guys. Anyways, sit back, relax and have fun. -Glitchtricks Word count: 4k
Ace Trappola
Oh, this is such a delight to see. Little Ace is in love! Ace is super awkward and very defensive, and yet somehow little ol' you broke down all those walls of arrogance and faux confidence, such a special darling you are. So, how would he be if he decided to bring you home to meet his family?
Two words: Nervous. Wreck. Ace is a disaster before bringing you home to meet his brother and father; he's sweating, internally screaming, his anxiety is spiked, and you have to handle everything with your usual grace. Ace has some bad anxiety, which he confided that he coped with it by being all snarky with everyone, i.e. being a dick way too often. You didn't mind though, but you did gently encourage him to come to you if he felt too overwhelmed by everything, just in case he needed to vent. How sweet! There was a lot of texting back and forth, nights cuddling on your near dinosaur era furnishings of Ramshackle, and plenty of kisses on his temples, Ace had calmed down enough to not feel like an anchor was being dropped on his chest at the thought of bringing you home. He was ready to announce you as his to his family!
Oh dear, sweet Seven, he couldn't have predicted any of what happened... First, his brother decided to do the worst thing ever and brought up Ace's old view on dating and how his first girlfriend got ghosted. Ace wanted to die then and there, even being collared by Riddle was more tolerable than this hell... "Hey, (Y/N), you know my baby bro here had a gal before you, right?" "Oh? He did?" You said, your pretty eyes widening. "He's never mentioned her before..." "Dude, please, don't...!" Ace quietly pleaded, humiliation seeping in like a cold rain. "Yeah, he went out a few times with this one girl in middle school. She'd always go to amusement parks with him and stuff, topping it off with a Ferris wheel, but he ghosted her." Ace's brother continued, sipping on his tea. "And why's that?" You prodded, sipping your own tea as you shot a small glare at your boyfriend. You shared stories of your exes, but why didn't he? Did he not trust you? You didn't know whether you should feel hurt, or pissed. You chose to feel pissed. "Got bored, 'cording to him, she was just bland beyond her coffee tastes and liked a lot of stuff that just didn't click with him. She was pretty, but had as much depth as a piece of paper." The elder Trappola explained. "Her friends called him out for his shit, and he swore off dating, too much of a hassle in his opinion, so I'm surprised he decided to go out with you, much less bring you home." "I see." You hummed. Ace knew he was in the dog house and was now preparing to ask Sam if he sold flowers and romance stuff to try and make it up to you when you both got back to Night Raven.
Well, at least pop likes you! Can't wait to have you as an in-law! During dinner, Ace's dad smiled and chatted all about his boys, saying how proud he was of Ace for bringing home such a sweetheart like you! You ended up forgetting the upsetting conversation from earlier given how jovial Mr. Trappola was, he was like that one cool uncle that was trusted with looking after the baby, or that one cool barbeque dad your friends might have. Card tricks were shared, food was eaten and conversation was exchanged, if at a little of your boyfriend's expense. Funny stories were shared, like that one time he accidentally hit his brother in the groin with a bat as a kid when he came home for the holidays, or that time Ace got pranked by his dad with a classic; pouring soap on his head while he was rinsing out his own lather. "My hair was never as silky as it was after that." Ace laughed, starting to loosen up as he threw his arm around your shoulder. You leaned over and pecked his cheek, making both your faces bloom red as you both grinned happily. Overall, you're basically already known as the best in-law ever even before Ace put a ring on it. He's already planning how to ask a few years down the line, though~!
Deuce Spade
Another cute boy, who's mildly awkward when in love. Oh, how sweet! He took a lot of time learning how to properly approach you. didn't he? Deuce is beaming with pride having you on his arm, smiling that cute little boy smile he shows off when he's excited. He loves holding your hand in his as you stroll about the rose gardens of Heartslabyul. You knew he was close to his mom, having ditched his old delinquent days after hearing her crying on the phone to his grandmother, and he often talked about you to her, sometimes while you were sitting right there! Oh, how your cheeks reddened hearing him spout compliments about you to his mother. Both you and Deuce were arranging to meet his mom and grandma, in fact Deuce wanted to introduce you as soon as possible! You're one of the most important people in his life, so he wanted to share you with his familial circle asap. So, how does this all go?
Oh, honey, grandma practically fell in love with you on first sight. You met Deuce's grandma and mom at the same time, the two sitting at the dining room table in Ms. Spade's home, sipping away on their tea. It was a little awkward with Ms. Spade, but granny practically pounced on you when Deuce said you were his significant other. She was just smiling up at you, going on about how much of a cutie you were the whole while. It was quite nice, talking over tea, Deuce smiling happily as he had an arm respectfully wrapped around your waist. Needless to say, mom relaxed a bit seeing how her mother was reacting alongside her baby boy.
Deuce didn't know why he didn't expect the baby pictures to be brought out... Baby books, baby books and more baby books. You were surprised by the sheer amount that Deuce's mother loved to do scrapbooking, it was like there was a mountain of baby books from when your sweet card soldier was growing up! There had to be about six books sitting on the coffee table. Everyone had gathered into the living room after tea, Ms. Spade excitedly flitting about the place like a child on sugar, gathering all these books to stack, Deuce slowly turning red seeing his old baby books being yanked out again. You sat next to Deuce, holding his hand with your fingers interlaced. "Here's when Deuce was two, he always played with his food, he was such a messy baby!" Ms. Spade gushed, showing off a picture of baby Deuce smiling up at the camera; baby food was smeared all over his smiling face, his hands caked in the stuff and the bowl on his little head, his pretty jade colored orbs shimmering with joy. "His little smile is infectious!" You chirped, smiling warmly at the picture of your darling boyfriend. Deuce buried his head in your hair, hiding from his embarrassment.
Deuce felt like melting into your embrace at this point. You made his night. After a fun dinner filled with embarrassing stories from when Deuce was young, warm hearty laughter and sweet gazes exchanged with your boyfriend, the two of you settled into bed, you sneaking out of the guest room grandma insisted you stay in to steal some kisses and snuggles. You settled into Deuce's arms as he kissed your rosy cheeks, tangling your legs with his under the covers. Looking into his eyes, you've never seen him look so happy since he got an 86 on his history exam. "I love you so much, baby." Deuce whispered sweetly, your heart fluttering in your chest. "I love you too, honey." You replied, your own voice laced with the sugar of your love for the jade eyed boy. "I wanna say thanks for coming with me to meet my mom and grandmother, it meant a lot to me." "Deucey, it's no trouble!" You chirped softly, smiling up at your lover. "I'm just happy they like me." "They love you, you fit perfectly into the family!" Deuce laughed, his shoulders shaking. "It's honestly a relief that you get along, I was scared things would go wrong. But, I guess I panicked for nothing." The navy haired first year continued, turning to gaze at you with so, so much love. "You're perfect after all." Deuce was gonna be the death of you, he was always so sweet. You could mark this day as a sweet, sweet success: Your boyfriend was happy, grandma loves you, mom thinks you're perfect for her son, and everything felt like utter bliss. So, without saying another word, you sealed your night with Deuce with a kiss...~
Cater Diamond
Cater being in love honestly isn't surprising; being in love is such brand booster! Cute Magicam couples? Yes please! Being real though, Cater's honestly a major handful for you, because under that cheery "Caycay is gonna slayslay" vibe that the 3rd year carries, he's honestly a complete wreck and is terrified that you'll get tired of his anticks. Shocking how he and Azul aren't besties in that regard. However, he had no need to fear! The marvelous S/O was here to save the day: Cuddles, kisses, spicy ramen and at home spa treatments were being rapid fired from your heart to claim Cater's love and destroy his anxiety! So, with the day saved, you and your lovely boyfriend could be free to talk about a tough topic; when are you gonna meet his family? Cater ended up laughing at your question and told you to start packing your bag, he's going to talk Crowley into letting you have a weekend getaway! Even if he disliked his sisters!
Already he was regretting life... Cater's sisters immediately burst out to greet their baby brother after his mom called, and the first thing they do? Tell you that your shirt is super not cute and Cater should go buy you another one. "It's what a good boyfriend would do!" The eldest sister said, folding her arms over her chest. "Yeah! It's what our boyfriends did!" His other sister chimed in. Cater was here less than five seconds and already he felt like blowing a gasket... "But this is my favorite shirt. That I bought myself." You said, crossing your arms over your chest. "You don't get to tell me what to wear, so shush." "Way to stand up for yourself, honey bunny~!" Cater chirped, smiling at you as he led you inside with an arm around your waist. The ginger boy swore he fell even harder than when he first started dating you in that moment.
Cater was internally screaming at how his sisters acted and just wanted to go home. Oh, and mom didn't really like you, so there's that. The room was a bit tense as you sat and shared tea and some lightly burned pastries made by Cater's sisters. Cater himself was suffering the overly sweet baked goods and planned to just spend the after noon there. "So, how did you and my son meet?" Mrs. Diamond asked, eying you with a sharpened gaze. "Oh, I met him at Night Raven. My friend had gotten into a predicament and I ran into him while he was painting his dorm's roses!" You explained, a warm smile coming to your face as your boyfriend started to blush softly. "He was so cute and charming, still is, honestly." "Awww, babes, stop!" Cater giggled, nuzzling your cheek against his, making you laugh in turn. "I see." His mother huffed. The rest of the time was awkward to say the least.
You could tell your boyfriend could finally breathe after you left the house. Dad wasn't around that day, bit too busy with his banking job, so you didn't get to meet him; not that you really cared, Cater's sisters ruined a good chunk of the afternoon and made your poor honey work himself to the bone! Cater dropped the cheap, fake smile on his face when you both made it out of the house, his anger flaring up as he started muttering various rants under his breath. "Caycay, do you wanna get some lunch? There's a nice ramen place we could go to." You gently suggested, wanting to make your sweetheart feel better and ease his stresses. "It's that reaaally nice one you saw on Magicam the other day. The one that Vil praised" "That...That sounds wonderful honey bunny." Cater sighed, looking at you with a tired grin. Without much thought, you pressed a kiss to his cheek, making his heart flutter. So over lunch, you both came to terms that the fam might not dig on you, but that didn't matter to you or Cater. You had each other, and that's what mattered most to you two lovebirds.
Trey Clover
You have such a good man on your hands, even if he's a touch shy with his affections. When you first broached the topic of meeting his family, Trey was taken aback. He adored you to no end, and he could see a future with you, even if it'd be long distance for a few years, why hadn't he thought of showing you off to his family? "Of course I'll introduce you, darling." He said with a warm smile, leaning down to press a peck on your cheek, "How about we visit this upcoming weekend? I'm sure Riddle can hold it together long enough."
It was a really sweet reception when you showed up. Trey's parents were told about you ahead of time by their eldest, given how he's the responsible boy he is, so you were greeted by a small banner and a custom cupcake in your favorite flavors. The banner that was hung read "welcome home!" in bold, glittering rainbow letters; it tickled you pink! You felt at home already when Trey walked you up to the bakery, and the feeling intensified when his little siblings ran over, cheering over their big brother being home and asking if you were the person mom and dad talked about on the phone with Trey. Already you loved Trey's family, they were adorable in your eyes! "I hope you're ready for the insanity that's my family." Trey playfully remarked, pulling laughter from everyone around him. You hugged your boyfriend with a smile on your face. "I look forward to every minute we stay here."
Trey loved baking alongside you, but you and his family? Talk about heaven! Trey had to help out in the family business still, given his parents ran a bakery that had opened for lunch, so alongside the sweet smells of cake, the occasional smell of crisping pepperonis and melting cheese filled your senses. You found it odd at first, but your boyfriend's father swiftly explained that a demand for some more dinner and lunch friendly goods should be offered and they complied, if only a touch. You were surprised by how willing Trey's parents were when offering your help to ease the rush, helping your darling make and top some sugar cookies with oversized chocolate chips. You ended up swiping kisses from your boyfriend while his mom worked the front of house and his dad prepared the pizzas to be sent out. It seemed the more homely setting brought out the more affectionate side of your lover; small coos of adoration left his lips, tiny kisses peppered your cheeks, and skin to skin contact was through the roof as he guided you by taking your hands into his. It was all so romantic and sweet.
It had to be a bittersweet departure after your little weekend of fun was over, but everyone loved you. You had your bags packed back up with Trey, the luggage sitting in the foyer as you ate a delightful breakfast, feeling right at home as you sat next to your beloved. Trey was holding your hand under the table as you two dug into the fluffy blueberry pancakes his mom and dad had made for everyone, one of his little brothers quickly getting your attention. "(Y/N)?" The little boy called out quietly. "Yes, little one?" You asked, your voice a soft coo. The 3rd year glanced over at you as you interacted with his baby brother, watching carefully. "Will you come back with our big brother again soon?" "Well, that depends on both me and your big brother, dear. I'd love to, though!" You replied, flashing a smile to the little guy, who hugged you. "I'm gonna miss you..." He whined. "Me two!" Trey's sister piped up. "Me thwee!" The youngest chimed in, Trey and his parents chuckling at your interactions. "You have quite the partner here, Trey." His father spoke, looking at his son in pride. "You really do, sweetie, you better try and hold onto them!" Trey's mother spoke, smiling warmly. "They're a keeper!" "I know." Trey replied, looking at you now hugging his younger siblings, warmth bubbling in his chest. "I plan to treat them right." Overall, you had a new home in the Clover family, and your boyfriend's thinking of ways to properly propose to you after the trip. Never hurts to plan it out!
Riddle Rosehearts
Oh god, oh no, this one hurts. This will never ever end well if he picks the S/O... You knew Riddle had some problems he was trying to work through, you understood, truly! And Riddle was eternally grateful for your presence and influence in his life, you had to be the best thing to ever happen to him! You were his angel sent from the stars. Which is why he dreaded introducing you to his mother. He knew his father would've been okay, and he honestly has zero issues showing you off to him! If he was actually at home that is...He was currently abroad when Riddle accidentally let it slip that he was dating. So, in came the demands to meet you to make sure you were good enough for her baby, and the news that you two were going to his house for dinner.
You both had pits in your stomachs when you showed up to the Rosehearts household... You were greeted by the intimidating visage of Riddle's mother, who was standing in the yard with her arms folded tightly over her chest, her eyes boring into you. "Hello, mother." Riddled greeted, closing himself off to your presence and tensing up, his shoulders stiff; a telltale sign that he was stressed. You had to bite back the urge to coo and coddle him like you normally did when he was upset. "Riddle." His mother hummed looking at you with disdain. "Why is your...companion here dressed like that?" She asked sharply, making you feel embarrassed. You had asked Rook of all people to style you, but it appears it's simply not up to par with the impossible standard's Mrs. Rosehearts held. "We had asked one of our fellow classmates to dress them in the finest clothes they had available." Riddle spoke. Riddle's mother tsked. "I thought that I raised you better than this, they look terribly tacky, and I thought you would've had better tastes. Come. Dinner is waiting now." Riddle clenched his fists, feeling sorrow well up in his chest as he looked at you apologetically. You rushed forward, hugging Riddle from behind and kissing his cheek to reassure him. It was still quite the sting hearing his mother act so harsh, though.
Dinner wasn't much better either... You made sure to study proper etiquette with Riddle before you came here, but none of that seemed to matter as you choked down the bland food. Seriously, who doesn't bother to season meet and just serve nothing but tomatoes, onions and iceberg lettuce for a salad...? You tried your best, but Mrs. Rosehearts just eyed you in disgust, biting her tongue but looking at Riddle with a disappointed gaze. Riddle himself couldn't tell if sorrow or anger was bubbling up in his chest. You explained you were from another world when she asked where you were from and she looked at you like you just spat on her when you told her you were magicless; despite her already knowing that. She made Riddle tell her about you after making him nearly break down in tears over the phone last night. "Pathetic! I raised my son better than this, and yet you're barely passing, have no magic, and carry no knowledge of anything worthwhile! You're nothing but a waste of his time and my own!" The harpy of a woman shrieked. Oh, that was it, he picked his side of the fence...
Riddle felt a cord finally snap as all of his years of strict, lonely suffering drove him forward. "Why can't you just be happy that I finally found someone, mother?" Riddle hissed, catching the attention of his present parent. "Because, your selection was terrible! I could pick you a much better partner." Mrs. Rosehearts said, you feeling like you could start crying. "No! I-I don't want anyone else, much less an arrangement where I'll feel nothing for the other party!" Riddle barked angrily, slamming his fist on the table as he stood up. "I want who I fell in love with! I want my rose! I want to stay with (Y/N)!" "When will you see that you're worth more than them?!" "They've been nothing short of an angel to me, fixing the damage you caused!" Riddle yelled, his face bright red from anger. "They're worth far more than me from where I stand!" "Then you can just take that garbage and get them out of this house, you and I will start studying to find you a suitable-" "If they leave, I'm leaving with them, in fact, that's a wonderful idea!" Riddle bellowed, you looking up at him and rising from your seat. Rushing to his side, you tugged him out of the house as Riddle's mother screamed at you two from the kitchen and out the door, Riddle yelling that she won't take you away; he's had so much stripped from him, he refuses to lose you. This entire situation was a disaster, but you knew your precious prince loved you so dearly. Once you two made it back to his dorm, Riddle looked exhausted. You asked him what you could do to ease his struggles after he changed into his pajamas. "My rose, tonight, I just want to forget everything, rules and all..." Riddle whined, looking at you with tired slate grey orbs. "I just want to hold you in my arms and wake up to your face..." "Of course, my love." You cooed softly, kissing his cheeks as you both crawled under the covers of his bed, Riddle curling into your form instantly. Under the warmth of the duvet, everything felt right; you were his and he was yours, and no tyrant was ever going to rip you apart. Riddle had proven his iron clad love belonged to you and you alone.

The Shadora Horde - 2023!
Here are all the ShadowXAurora kids I've made (so far hahaha!). As I always mention, I'm always open to Shadora fankids that you guys make. I can never have too many Shadora babies. I made changes to the original 5 so they're now closer in age and I also balanced out their powers more. Some of them were a little OP originally but I think I've fixed it. I have super detailed descriptions of each character below the cut!
PIPER
Birthday: 11/12 (1st Born)
Age: 16
Role: Leader
Powers: Combustion, Weapon Summoning
Weaknesses: Disorder
Dream Voice Actor: Brittany Snow
Theme Song: “Smile” - Wolf Alice
Piper is the first born in the first litter of Aurora and Shadow and is the natural leader of the group. She is generally sweet and respectful but is very proud of her pedigree so can be a little judgemental at times. She is a perfectionist to a fault and will become easily aggravated if things don’t go her way. Though she can be cocky, she is overall a caring and loving person and is quick to help those in need. Piper has naturally wild bangs and a large patch of fluffy fur on her chest. These traits drive her crazy! She always has her bangs pinned down to the side and her chest fur covered up. In her teen years she takes up motorcycle riding and it helps loosen her up and embrace her more wild side.
Piper is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Blast and Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Piper has combustion powers. Piper can incinerate objects with a snap of her fingers. She has excellent mastery and precision of this skill. She was given the task to train Cinder to control his combustion powers, but the two tend to get frustrated with each other since control comes so naturally to Piper and it’s incredibly foreign to Cinder.
Piper is naturally drawn to Amy’s hammer wielding abilities and grows up admiring it. Though she isn’t allowed to use the Piko Piko Hammer, Amy trains her in good hammer-form with the use of props. IF Mammy Amy ever decides to retire, she will bequeath her hammer to Piper. The hammer’s design will change based on Piper’s personality.
-
ZANE
Birthday: 11/12 (2nd Born)
Age: 16
Powers: Super Speed
Weaknesses: Arachnophobia
Dream Voice Actor: Robert Buckley
Theme Song: “We Are Young” - 3OH!3
Zane is the second born in the first litter of Aurora and Shadow. Zane is a daredevil and an extreme extrovert. He is most like his Pawpaw Sonic with his quick wit and high energy. He does not like emotional confrontations and will go out of his way to avoid uncomfortable situations. Even though he’s mostly easygoing, he butts heads with his dad a lot.
Zane is a huge flirt and frequently develops intense crushes on people, but due to his short attention span, he’ll move on quickly (think Romeo with Rosaline). Zane is very fond of children and enjoys being the center of attention. Even though Piper is the leader of the group, the younger siblings tend to follow whatever Zane is doing. Lucky for Piper, he mostly listens to what she says.
Zane is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Zane has super speed. He wears special shoes that can transform based on his needs, but he prefers the motocross boot style when he’s not running.
For hobbies, Zane likes to do extreme stunts and attend/throw parties. He has dreams of being a DJ with his brother Nova.
-
NOVA
Birthday: 11/12 (3rd Born)
Age: 16
Powers: Plasma (Ionikinetic Combat)
Weaknesses: Laziness
Dream Voice Actor: Josh Keaton
Theme Song: “Weirdo” - K.Flay
Nova is the third born in the first litter of Aurora and Shadow. He is very peaceful in nature and would rather find roundabout ways to solve problems than coming to blows (though he attributes this to knowing he would cream his opponent due to this strong bloodline). He’s a bit of an oddball but he embraces his quirkiness instead of being concerned about how others think of him. He often comes off as aloof and is rather lazy.
Nova is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Nova has plasma/Ionikenetic powers. He can shoot radioactive plasma at his enemies which can burn or dissolve material on impact. Nova does not like using his powers because they are so destructive.
Nova is very close with his brother Zane and will go along with his schemes, even if his heart’s not entirely in it. He is artistic and tends to live a very messy, disheveled lifestyle. He loves to collect things and can be considered a packrat.
-
ASTER
Birthday: 4/8 (4th born)
Age: 15
Powers: Telekinesis, Telepathy
Weaknesses: Codependency
Dream Voice Actor: SungWon Cho [x]
Theme Song: “Despair and Traffic” - SOFT PLAY
Aster is the first born in the second litter of Aurora and Shadow. Though he seems rough on the surface, he’s actually the most academically intelligent of all his siblings. He is loud and passive aggressive but can appreciate the beauty in peace and quiet when he chooses. He is very theatrical and enjoys making a huge spectacle out of his battles, including saying poetic catchphrases and even coining the term “Prepare for the Blitz-Aster Disaster!” He is secretly a romantic at heart.
Aster is rarely seen without his sister Blitz. He is the brain to her brawn. Though he’s the more level-headed twin, Blitz’s dominant personality tends to direct their fighting strategies. He does not know how to be independent, which can be used against him.
Aster is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Aster shows early signs of telekinetic and telepathic abilities. He hasn’t mastered many techniques yet, but with some proper training it’s possible he could become a force to be reckoned with. If only Blitz would shut up for 5 minutes so he could concentrate!
Aster enjoys challenging mind games, like chess.
-
BLITZ
Birthday: 4/8 (5th born)
Age: 15
Powers: Energy Blasts (“Chaos Spear”)
Weaknesses: Codependency, Impulsivity
Dream Voice Actor: Jessica DiCicco [x] [x] OR Chloë Grace Moretz [x]
Theme Song: “God Complex (Mojo)” - poutyface
Blitz is the second born in the second litter of Aurora and Shadow. Blitz is brash and forward but can be a little spacey. She has a short attention span and is easily bored. She considers fighting as a form of playing. She is very proud of herself and her heritage and isn’t afraid to namedrop to get her way.
Blitz is rarely seen without her brother Aster. She is the brawn to his brain. Blitz’s dominant personality tends to direct their fighting strategies despite her brother’s concerns. She is very theatrical and enjoys making a huge spectacle out of her battles, including saying poetic catchphrases and even coining the term “Prepare for the Blitz-Aster Disaster!” She is very codependent and hates doing anything without Aster.
Blitz is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Blitz has the natural ability to perform Chaos Spear which can dagger her enemies with energy.
Blitz loves fashion and is a huge trendsetter. She would love to be a fashion designer if world domination doesn’t work out (She’s just kidding – relax already!)
-
Cinder
Birthday: 2/18 (6th born)
Age: 14
Powers: Combustion, Stellar Tantrum
Weaknesses: Migraines, Short Temper
Dream Voice Actor: Michael Daingerfield [x] [x]
Theme Song: “Tantrum” - Ashnikko
Cinder is the first born in the third litter of Aurora and Shadow. He has a very short temper and is incredibly impatient. He is the most like his father in that he is not very talkative and would rather be left alone than socialize with others. His outbursts of rage can often be used to his enemies’ advantage by being misdirected to his siblings and teammates. He is also terrified of himself, which makes him constantly on edge.
Cinder is NOT capable of using Chaos Emeralds and instead has to rely on his natural abilities. Cinder has combustion powers, but unlike his sister Piper, his powers are based solely on his emotions so he has a very hard time commanding the direction and radius of his blasts. Piper was tasked with training Cinder to better manage his combustion powers, but the two tend to get frustrated with each other since control comes so naturally to Piper and it’s incredibly foreign to Cinder. When Cinder goes into a blinding rage, his fur and eyes change color and sparks of energy will fire off randomly around him. When in this form, he can perform a move called “Stellar Tantrum.” This move is highly destructive and will incinerate any and all objects nearby. He has absolutely no control over this power once it’s unleashed.
As a child, Cinder was more outgoing but still prone to crying outbursts. However, during one particular fight with his sister Diamond, he accidentally unleashed a Stellar Tantrum and severely burned her. Luckily Boon was able to use his healing powers to reverse it, but Cinder has never forgiven himself and has never been the same ever since. Cinder requested a special Inhibitor necklace be made to help dampen his powers, but it’s not very effective. It works more as a placebo than anything else. He keeps everyone at a distance whenever possible and thinks there’s something evil in him, despite his parents’ reassurances.
Cinder doesn’t like to discuss his hobbies, but he actually loves baking and reading books.
-
DIAMOND
Birthday: 2/18 (7th Born)
Age: 14
Role: Tank
Powers: Brute Strength
Weaknesses: Poor eyesight, Light sensitivity
Dream Voice Actor: Kimberly Brooks [x] [x] [x]
Theme Song: “Cleopatra” - Nova Twins
Diamond is the second born in the third litter of Aurora and Shadow. She has a sweet disposition and is very polite, even to her opponents. However, she can be a smart ass at times and is quick to make jokes. She is highly dedicated to physical training but outside of the gym she’s very easy-going. Diamond was born with Oculocutaneous albinism. Due to her albinism and nystagmus, she is sensitive to light and has very poor eyesight. As a baby and toddler, Diamond mostly clung to Aurora whenever outdoors as she could bend the light around Diamond and protect her from UV rays. As Diamond got older and grew more independent, Tails’ Workshop crafted a special brooch that acts as a light shield when activated. Diamond never leaves home without it.
Diamond is NOT capable of using Chaos Emeralds and instead has to rely on her natural abilities. She has incredible strength and is physically the strongest of all her relatives.
As a child, she and her brother Cinder got into a fight where he accidentally unleashed a Stellar Tantrum and severely burned her. Luckily Boon was able to use his healing powers to reverse it. She has completely forgiven Cinder and has never held it against him, but he continues to be distant with her to this day.
She enjoys training in the Shadora Home Gym to better perfect her fighting skills and she is almost always found sporting earbuds so she can listen to her favorite punk rock and metal bands.
-
Boon
Birthday: 2/18 (8th Born)
Age: 14
Role: Support
Powers: Healing, Mood-Boosting
Weaknesses: People-pleasing
Dream Voice Actor: Ben Schwartz [x] ← Please watch this whole interview, it will leave you grinning ear-to-ear the whole way through
Theme Song: “Smile” - Dami Im
Boon is the third born in the third litter of Aurora and Shadow. Boon is the embodiment of a ray of sunshine and has 10000% charisma. He genuinely loves everyone he meets and enjoys putting smiles on people’s faces. Boon is very silly and has a very childish sense of humor. He also has a lot of energy and has a habit of rambling without realizing it.
Boon is NOT capable of using Chaos Emeralds and instead has to rely on his natural abilities. He has incredible healing abilities and can heal the wounded, but it takes a lot of energy from him so can only do so much at a time. He cannot revive the dead. Boon also has a “mood-boosting” ability, where he can positively affect the emotions of others. This can only be done by making direct contact with someone and the effect only lasts temporarily. Boon’s powers positively affected Aurora’s pregnancy, making her third litter the easiest and stress free of all her pregnancies (Thank you, Boon!)
Boon wears special rocket boots so he can quickly fly to anyone in battle who needs assistance. His boots have a button on the heel to activate them, and he likes to click his heels together to turn them on. Though he never complains about his duties, Aurora often worries about Boon’s need to please others and reminds him that he can’t help others if he doesn’t help himself. Aurora and Boon are the most alike of all her children as both are prone to singing outbursts, goofy jokes and harmless pranks to make people laugh.
All Shadora kids are mortal and did not inherit Shadow’s immortality. However, they do heal faster than the average Mobian.
Want to get more of a feel for the Shadora kids? I've made a Spotify playlist dedicate to their theme songs, songs that make me think of them, or general music they would listen to. You can listen to it here, but be warned it contains explicit songs.
A NOTE ABOUT SHADOW’S “AGE”
Shadow is immortal so therefore he doesn’t age. However it’s been long debated in my Shadora stories whether or not he will give up his immortality to live a normal life with his family. I have him in these drawings as still being immortal, especially because I like the angst and challenges that comes with (ex: how are your rebellious teenagers supposed to respect you when they are seemingly “older” than you?) but I haven’t actually decided when he will decide to be mortal.
BUT if you ever draw me fanart or write me fanfics and you want to have become mortal at an earlier point in his life I’m totally cool with that! I’m flexible.

If Eddie were an animal, he’d be a cat. Why? Because he had nine lives. He had more than nine, actually. He seemed to be void of all danger. Well no, that wasn’t true. Danger stuck to him like glue, but he was amazing when it came to getting out of it. Wayne teased him by calling him MacGyver and that he needed his own show. He loved the danger, the chaos of it all. It never bothered or got to him, atleast until one day when you were involved.
Eddie hadn’t had a bad drug deal in several years. The only people around Hawkins who needed a fix where high schoolers or lone wolves at the hideout. So, he didn’t think much about it when you asked to come along to his next destination.
You walked swinging your hands together, his fingers laced in yours as you crunched the fall leaves beneath your Chuck Taylor’s. It was supposed to be quick in simple. It was a friend of his uncle’s, who he’d never met, but he didn’t think much of it.
When you finally got to the designated meeting spot, you and Eddie sat across from each other at the picnic table in the middle of the woods, tapping your fingers and making small talk. Whoever you were meeting, was late. Eddie tiredly rested his chin in his palm, the cool air a bit nippy at his neck, but his jean jacket kept him warm. He offered it up to you, but you promised your orange sweater was enough.
“Ow.” You complained under your breath, finger scraping too hard at the wood beneath your palms.
“What’s wrong?” He creased his brow across from you, not moving from his position.
“Splinter.” You bit your lip, bringing it up to investigate. “Fuck, hurts like a bitch.”
“Here,” He reached out to take your hand and brought the tip of your finger up to his eye line, squeezing at the skin around it. He muttered a soft apology when you winced at his prodding.
“I think I got a knife in here somewhere.” He padded at his jacket, making you scoff and widen your eyes.
“You’re not cutting that thing out of me.” You shook your head. “Hell nah.”
He rolled his eyes. “Fine.” He hopped up and rounded the table to set beside you, holding your red, irritated finger. “Seems like we might have a no show.”
“Get that a lot?” You tried to ignore the pain as he squeezed the skin, gritting your teeth.
“Not really.” He focused on the wood under your porcelain skin, sticking out his tongue in concentration. “Just sell it to someone else if they don’t.”
The wind picked up a bit and shivered inside of your clothes. Eddie hummed and squeezed your wrist. “Told you you’d be cold.”
“Shut up.” You lightly kicked him. You were naturally a cold blooded girl. “Just get this tree trunk out of me.”
Eddie snickered and teased you by squeezing your pained skin, but he finally got it out as you sighed with relief. He took the splinter away from your cut it held it up with victory, a goofy smile on your face. “Tada.”
Victory was not held long though. The dark curtains of his hair kept him from witnessing the stranger from the corner of his vision, and you were too focused on the task at hand, and a scream lodged it’s way out of your throat when you were yanked up from the table.
It all happened so quickly. You were now being held up off the ground, a blade held thickly at your throat and a strong arm wrapped around your waist. Eddie was stumbling off the ground from trying to catch you, his eyes wide in a panicked fear.
“Don’t you fucking move!” Whoever it was behind you screamed into your ear, and you were hyperventilating as your eyes blurred with tears, heart racing like a wild stallion.
“Hey, hey, okay, okay!” Eddie begged, holding up his hands with an unhinged jaw. His eyes were wide and his face had gone pale.
“You got what I came for?” The man asked bitterly. Your body was pressed up against his, and you could smell alcohol and cigarettes on his breath. The sharp blade was right at your jugular, and you were whimpering, not able to struggle and paralyzed with fear, body stiff as the planks you had sat on.
“Yeah, yeah, man, I got it!” He nodded rapidly, eyes flicking between you and who he assumed, was his uncles friend. He needed new ones. “Just.. just, hey, you don’t gotta do this, okay? She’s..she’s not done anything. I’ll give you what you want just let her go, alright?”
Eddie’s voice was shaking, and you could only cry in your captives arms. Your eyes were so wide that it hurt your head, your body was shaking and you had to clamp your mouth shut from screaming.
“What else you got?” The man was larger built, dark hair and tan skin. He looked like a truck driver. Eddie hadn’t seen him before.
“Anything.” Eddie pointed back to his lunchbox. “Coke, weed, acid it’s all yours, man, just let her go!” He was more frantic with his words, knees barely buckling underneath him.
“Give it to me. Toss it over here.”
Eddie obeyed quickly, reaching behind him, arms still up, and tossed over his lunch box his your feet. “Now, let her go.”
You cried out when your body was bent over, the man reaching down to pick up the box. Your eyes never left Eddie’s, wide and terrified, your cries breaking his heart. With one hand, he opened the box and quickly scanned it, giving a satisfied nod. “Pleasure doing business with you.”
He still hadn’t let you go.
Eddie’s stomach twisted upside down when the man’s eyes started to observe the side of your cheek, and you squeezed your eyes shut as the man shushed you sickeningly. You were crying, tears dripping down you neck with soft sobs. You begged yourself not to move. One wrong motion and Eddie would be traumatized for life.
“Hey!” Eddie tried to get the man’s attention. “Let her go.”
The urgency in his voice made you break a sob, cringing and shying away as his free hand came up to pet your cheek, drifting down your hip. You tried to calm yourself. Freaking out would only make your case work, but you could only quiet down so much.
“Hey, don’t touch her, man!” Eddie snapped, taking a step that got the knife digging into your skin even more as he shouted at Eddie to stay away. The action, and the sudden burn of blood that leaked at the cut along your neck, made you hysterically sob and scream out, your legs giving out from under you.
“You shut your mouth before I slit her throat!” He screamed, only worsening your case. Your chest was heaving and you were begging Eddie with silent eyes to help you.
You but your tongue so hard you tasted blood when the man’s hand cupped the space between your legs, squeezing you and making your throat close. You had to look away from Eddie, not daring to let a full fledged whimper out.
“Stop! Fucking stop it!” Eddie screamed in desperation, stumbling on his feet with shaking limbs and wide eyes. “Please, please you got what you wanted, please let her go!”
He gave you a little jostle and licked your neck, rubbing the fabric of your jeans and making you grow cold. He gave your neck a little bite before he loosened his grip on you, removing the knife as he held it out to Eddie. “You keep your distance until I’m gone, ya’ hear?”
Eddie nodded as quickly as he could. “Yeah- yeah, you got it.”
Your body was set free but you couldn’t move, your hands froze in the air as you paralyzing stared off at the side. Your heart felt like it was going to explode. Eddie kept his eyes on the man, who kept the knife up, backing away deep into the woods. When he was finally gone from sight, Eddie ran to you.
It was like your brain had turned to mush. Your face was pressed into his chest and his arms were wrapped around your shaking body so tightly it almost hurt, then he’d pull away to look at your neck, grab your face and hold your hands, pulling you back in to hold you. He was speaking all the while, but you could only hear muffled words. His touches felt fuzzy and tingly, like he wasn’t really there. You couldn’t see clearly, and your tongue felt heavier.
“Come on, we’ve gotta get outta here.”
You didn’t hear it, but an arm wrapped around your waist and led you away from the forest.
“Eddie, what happened?”
Wayne had yet to take a sip from his freshly brewed cup of coffee when his nephew barged in with you by his side, shaken up as he ever saw them.
“We got jumped.” Eddie gulped, closing the door behind him, his hand holding yours tightly. “Some guy that..I don’t know, claimed to know you,” He was panting as he rambled, pausing to turn to you. “Hey, why don’t…here, honey, you need to sit down.” His voice had turned so much more gentle as he grabbed your shoulders and softly ushered you to a seat on the couch, crouching down below you. “I’m gonna..I’m gonna get something the clean your neck, okay?” He looked into your eyes and you gave a weak nod, not meeting them.
“Eddie,” Wayne said more seriously when Eddie ventured into the bathroom. “What the hell happened?”
Eddie stopped and his face went white, bringing a hand up to his forehead. He stepped around his uncle to close the door. “He..he came out of nowhere. I didn’t see him. He…he held a knife to her throat and- and he..he- touched her.” His voice broke and he could hardly get out the words. “Fuck,” He grew overwhelmed and covered her face. “He cut her neck a little bit but- fuck, Wayne he touched her right in front of me and she won’t- she won’t say anything, oh god, this is my fault. It’s my fucking fault, Wayne-”
“Hey, hey,” Wayne grabbed his face and pulled him close. “Calm down, Eddie.” He recognized the signs of his past panic attacks, his breathing erratic and face gone of color. “You’re alright. She’s alright. But now you know why this stuff is dangerous, right? You’re lucky nothing worse happened. It needs to stop, bud. You don’t gotta worry about money.”
“I know, I know,” He breathed, resting his hands on his uncle’s arms. “Fuck, Wayne, what do I do? I’ve fucking traumatized her.” He squeezed his eyes shut.
“No, you haven’t, Ed.” Wayne said calmly. “Just learn from this, okay? You’ll both be okay. Just need to calm down, alright?”
Your ears caught the sound of the bathroom door opening, but you didn’t look up. You said rigidly on Wayne’s sofa, knees up and arms laying loosely at your sides. Your face was pale and void of color, eyes glossed over and red, the skin around them swollen and irritated. You felt disgustingly gross. You heard Wayne fish for his keys in the pocket of his jacket, his boots padding in the carpet as he walked around the coffee table to stand next to you. You tried to smile when he bent down to give you a kiss on the top of your head.
Eddie came back to crouch in front of you, tearing open a first aid kit and looking through it’s contents. He muttered to himself about what he needed to find. He had a wet napkin sitting on his thigh, and he picked it and looked at you. “Is it okay if I clean it up a bit?”
You nodded softly and lifted your neck a bit, his hand soft on your skin. You tried not to cringe at the feeling, but you couldn’t help but get a flash of ptsd. You pushed it away. He cleaned as quickly as he could, his other hand rubbing your thigh softly. He kept looking up at you lifeless eyes, a frown on both of your faces. When he finished, putting a dab of Neosporin and a bandaid, he had to speak up.
“Baby, are you okay?” Of course, you weren’t. His lips were pulled down and his hands held your knees, his voice soft like a winter’s first snow.
“Yeah.” You forced yourself to speak, the crack in your voice betraying you.
“Y/n, I’m so, so sorry.” He pleaded, gathering your hands and kissing them. “Sweetheart, I’m so sorry. I’m so, so sorry.” He kissed up your arm until he got the dent of your elbow.
Never in his life had he felt so much love for another person. He always knew you were important to him, but important didn’t even grace it now. You were his life. Your spirit animal was not a cat, and you did not have nine lives. Eddie wanted to cry again. “I’m so sorry this happened, baby.” He looked up to you from your stomach. “Are you okay? Please, talk to me.”
You didn’t know how to feel. You weren’t processing anything. The only thing you did feel was terror. Your mouth opened and closed, trying to find words. He could see the confused, complicated look on your face as he sat up. You grew panicked, but before you could get too overwhelmed he cupped your cheek.
“It’s alright.” He said softly, giving you a kiss on the lips, soft and delicate. “You’re alright, honey. Here, sit back.” You leaned back until you rested on the back of the couch, and he propped your feet up on his lap. He worked to untie your shoelaces, working them through the triple nots you tied. He managed to get one off before the damn broke.
When you let out a quiet sob, his eyes snapped up to you, face dropping. You were looking up at the ceiling, holding your stomach as tears fell down your neck as you cried steadily. Eddie disregarded his task at taking off your other shoe and sat beside you, shushing you softly as he pulled you down into his lap, your face scrunched up in his jeans. He leaned down to hold you tight, kissing your shoulder and offering words of apology.
Why did something so horrible have to finally make him realize how much he cared for you?

LOVE WILL TEAR US APART — CARMEN BERZATTO (part 1)
Tumblr media
summary You come back to Chicago for the first time since Christmas five years ago. Seeing Carmen might just split you wide open.
length 5.4k
contents angst, childhood friends to not friends not lovers but a secret third thing, very deeply requited love and everyone knows it except them, family troubles/fighting (giving y’all the Berzatto special), takes place the year of Mikey’s passing so everything is still fresh n rly painful, reader has the nickname ‘Birdie’, there's some fluff dw, happy endings are overrated we die like men
note this was originally going to be 1 part but seeing as the doc is reaching 13k words…here’s just the beginning :)
Tumblr media
Wind comes from the pale gray sky and bites at your cheeks and the tip of your nose. Fingers go stiff, a chill runs from the nape of your neck down your spine. Maybe you should’ve worn more than just your jacket; Chicago’s always been a little colder than New York, anyway. You tend to forget the little things.
The windows of the Berzatto house glow yellow with company, and you can hear the bustle just by standing at the door, frosted glass animated by guests. You can picture it like it was yesterday: white yellow lights around every corner, the table set in full with porcelain and silver, hollow presents under the tree, too much talking to hear yourself think. You can still go home to at least save yourself the trouble. Can’t lose if you don’t try, right?
For once, it’s Richie who greets you—not like Mikey’s around to do it anymore, to pull you into a bear hug and tell you how much you’ve grown up, to ease you into the chaos he struggles to navigate himself. Struggled, you have to remind yourself. Past tense.
“Birdie!” he calls out to you, opening the door wide before you can knock, half-expecting you to walk yourself in before meeting you on the porch instead with a big smile.
You look up at him as he plants his warm hands on your shoulders. He’s taller than you remember, but five years time leaves a lot in the ruins. “Hey, Richie.” You lean into the hug and into his chest to at least try to catch your breath, to try and slow down your heart’s racing.
He rubs your back ever so slightly. “It’s good t’see you, kid. ‘S been a while, I missed you ‘n that smile ‘f yours.” He gives you two pats and pulls back to hold you by your arms as he gives you a good look. His brows twitch, subtle enough to nearly miss it, with a sympathetic curve to his mouth. “You doin’ alright?”
Since Mikey died is what he means to add to the end of the question. Maybe it’s Since you up an’ left us. Or Now that you’re finally free.
You stick with the first one and just nod. “I’m okay.” Your eyes flit back to his face before landing on the front door, unease pooling in your gut. “A little nervous to be back in so long.” You let your voice go quiet, and you look at your hands and with wet eyes while your fingers fidget like a tall child. “And I…I miss him, y’know?…I should’ve—” you’re getting choked up now, throat growing tight— “I should’ve been here, or—”
His brows really furrow this time, head tilting to the side before he looks to the sky to bite back any real sadness that could come through in his voice, to keep you from seeing it. Bringing you into a hug again, he mutters, “Shhh, don’t beat yourself up about it, sweetheart. I know you miss him, I know.” A gentle kiss to the top of your head. “We all do.”
Growing up across the street from the Berzattos led them to be a second family to you—and, by extension, Richie, for how inseparable he and Mikey were. Much of your memories as a kid were the two older boys, already teens by the time you came into the picture: Mikey and Richie taking you out to ice cream, Mikey and Richie pushing you on the swings down at the playground, Mikey and Richie teaching you to ride a bike. They might as well have been your older brothers by blood. They always cherished and doted on you, and while it changed in manner as you grew older—from piggy back rides to intimidating prom dates—it was always there. They always cared. Richie still does. Maybe double as much to make up for what’s been lost.
You don’t cry so much into his chest. A few tears fall, sure, but you use the time to just breathe, to close your eyes, to stall. Sniffling, you pull away, wipe your eyes, and straighten your clothes, smoothing creases. “Okay,” you huff. “I’m okay. I’m ready.”
A knowing look. “You sure?”
You nod. “Yeah, I’m good.” Another sniffle. “Promise.”
Richie turns to face the house with you, opening the door while the other hand stays hovering by your shoulder. With the smallest shift in the hinges, noise spills out the door. Small talk in the living room, clinking of glass against tabletops, boisterous laughter, timers ringing in the kitchen, Donna’s voice rolling in. It’s more than you remember. Heavier. Hotter. Richie motions to take your coat and you happily oblige, left to pick at the hems of your sleeves rather than buttons and pockets.
“So,” Richie starts, and with the way he says it you’d think you look like you’re about to pass out, “How’s New York treatin’ ya lately? You a hot-shot lawyer yet?”
You laugh softly, partly to be nice and partly to stave off the awkwardness you feel, like you’re being watched by the rest of the family. “I just passed the bar this year, Richie, I’m barely an associate—”
“Right, right, right—all that stuff goes over my head. Whatever, you’re a genius in my book.”
You smile sheepishly. “Yeah, well the people I work with are just—they’re incredible, how smart they are. I’m a baby compared to them.”
He waves it off as if to say Fuck ‘em. “How’s the livin’ situation, then? You affordin’ it okay, eatin’ good, all that?” He looks a little more stern, more brotherly when he asks it.
“I’m fine.” You look up at him and smile to let him know you’re honest, that you aren’t just saying it to get him off your back. “I really like it out there. I made decent enough money as a paralegal, and I have a roommate with a cushy job in finance. We’re pretty close, but we don’t see each other often with our hours ‘n stuff. Not the best,” you shrug, “But I’m doing pretty well, all things considered.”
He pauses, looks you over to see you’re genuine. “Alright,” he sighs, pulling you into his side and squeezing you tight because he knows you hate it. “I believe ya.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever, fuck you.” You’re laughing a little harder for the first time since arriving in Chicago, and it reminds you that it can be close to normal, coming home. “Where’s Nat? I haven’t talked to her since I got off the plane.”
“She’s upstairs resting.” He lets go and starts drifting to the kitchen absentmindedly—why, you’re not sure. “The baby’s got her in a mood, kickin’ ‘n all that, the little fucker—but Pete ‘n Carm ‘r down here somewhere—”
Your heart stops, and for a moment you can’t hear anything but your own thoughts, fragments of his voice and his laughter from memory. Your chest goes tight, your throat runs dry. You knew from Nat and Richie that he’d come back to Chicago a while ago, after Mikey’s funeral, but never in a million years did you think he’d come to Christmas dinner. Richie doesn’t seem as shocked as you think he should be. “Carmen? He’s here?” You nearly whisper it, afraid to be heard if he’s nearby.
He stops walking. “In the kitchen, yeah, why? You talk to ‘im in a while? Figured he’d’ah told ya, me ‘n Nat had to convince ‘im. A real jagoff about it, by the way.” His tone doesn’t say anything more than his words do. Maybe he’s forgotten about everything, or he’s trying to spare you. Maybe he never knew all that much to begin with.
“No,” you answer, quiet with an ache in your chest you haven’t felt in years. “We don’t…we haven’t really talked since the last time I was here…” And I don’t want to change that at the moment is what you don’t say, bile in your throat at the thought of peeling back scabbed wounds.
Before Richie can comment, a loud voice comes to you from the front room: “Is that my little Birdie?”
Cicero. You missed him, honestly.
He huffs himself out of his seat in the living room and welcomes you in the foyer, bringing your attention away from Richie like you’d been hoping to. “Oh, I missed you,” he says, giving a brief kiss to your cheek.
You hug him in return, but really you’re just hoping to get away from the kitchen. “Missed you too.”
Resting his hands on your shoulders, he smiles and looks at your face. “You’ve only gotten more beautiful since the last time I saw you. Like an angel.” He doesn’t let you protest, he only peeks behind you to look at Richie, who leans against the wall with his arms crossed. “Ain’t she beautiful, Richie?”
“Yeah,” he deadpans, unamused. “A real treat she is.”
Cicero looks back to you and speaks lowly. “Ignore that son ‘f a bitch. He’s just jealous ‘cause you’re my favorite.” He winks, gestures to the living room, and takes a few steps while he brings his voice back to a normal volume. “C’mon, tell this ol’ geezer about New York—can’t even remember the last time I was there, musta been ‘83—”
If the rest of the night is like this, you think, Carmen might not be so much of an issue. He could be nothing at all, like he always wanted to be.
Tumblr media
He promises himself that he’ll say something by the end of the night. He has to, he thinks, and if not to avoid being an asshole, then to avoid getting reamed by Richie. Carmen realizes he has the upper hand, too, whether he likes it or not: he at least expected you to be here. That doesn’t make it any less terrifying to hear your name.
The first time is when he’s cutting onions as Richie opens the door, and he gets lucky enough to hear nothing else but the door shutting afterward. An afterthought, a mirage maybe.
In between that and the second, his name slips by your lips. You whisper it, of course, because you hate him—you hate him for the way he treated you, and for the way he didn’t, and for the fact that he wasn’t man enough to ever speak to you about any of it, or speak to you at all. And despite the fact you try to hide it when you say it, he hears you; he doesn’t think anything could keep him from doing that much. Especially not when it sounds just like you did years ago on those half-broken steps to the back porch, after everything went to shit and there was a hole in the fucking house and you couldn’t stop crying if you tried. He was there for you like he always was: letting you lean your head on his shoulder as you wept, one arm holding you tight to keep you grounded while the other hand nursed a cigarette to keep himself sane. And his name sounded just like it does tonight when you turned to look at him with bleary eyes so many years ago, whispering Carmen? so sweet he wanted to taste the lip gloss that flavored it. That night he did, for a fleeting moment. Before he ruined it.
So of course, he hears you say his name, and he knows it’s you. He doesn’t think anything could keep him from knowing you.
The second time he hears your name it’s like a confirmation. A confirmation that it’s real, you’re real, and you’re here, and it isn’t his mind playing tricks on him like it does when it’s late at night and he’s walking the streets and thinks he sees a girl that looks like you. The rest of the dialogue after the fact goes blurry, the timers going off turn into a monotone buzz, all he hears is chopchopchop against the cutting board until Uncle Jimmy calls you beautiful. He’s sure you are, but he doesn’t want to see it and believe it even more. Your heels click against the hardwood a few times, and he’s not sure where Ma went, but Richie’s standing behind him saying something he can’t decipher and he wants to tell him to Fuck off but he can’t, not now, not tonight.
“Cousin!” Richie snaps, pushing his shoulder. “Did you hear a word I just said?”
He sighs and looks over his shoulder but stays gripping the knife. “No, sorry, say it again—‘m listenin’.”
“Right. So when’s the last time you talked t’her?”
His hand squeezes a little harder, the knife suffers for it. “Talk t’who?”
A quick bang of a hand to the counter top leaves the onions rattled. “Don’t play stupid with me right now, Cousin—” a harsh finger points in Carmen’s face— “or I swear t’God I will fuck you up once this dinner’s over.”
He pauses. He looks past Richie into the foyer where you once stood but quickly goes back to work. Chop. “Look, I dunno, it—it’s just been a while, I dunno the exact fuckin’ date, alright?” Oh, but how vividly he does.
“Yeah? How’s five years to the fuckin’ day sound? Pretty damn accurate, or what?”
No response. Chop.
“You’re a real piece’ah fuckin’ work, y’know that, right?” Richie sounds about as angry as he’s ever been, but it’s different this time: it’s quiet, it’s controlled, it crawls up Carmen’s spine.
“It’s not—it’s not like I meant to, to, uh—”
“ ‘To, to, uh’ what?” he mocks. “To pull the shit you did then go fuckin’ AWOL on ‘er?”
Another beat of silence. Laughter trails in from the living room, and he starts to wonder if it’s you who made it ring. He shakes his head, scrunches his nose. “H—…” Rethinking whether he wants the answer to his question, he puts the knife down and leans into his hands before looking over Richie’s shoulder again. “How, uh…how is she?” It’s muttered, ashamed, the way he asks it, brows furrowed with regret and slithers of hope. “ ‘S she doin’ alright?” He heard bits and pieces of the conversation from just a minute ago, but part of him needs this: to hear it crystal clear, to have it branded beneath his 773 tattoo you traced with an anxious finger, to have the pain be inadmissible such that he can’t forget it.
Without needing to look him in the eye Richie knows to soften his approach. Carmen’s eyes are wet, he’s got that solemn air to him that he gets when he’s thinking about something that forms lumps in his throat, he swipes his hand by his mouth like the words were bitter to say out loud.
He turns over his shoulder like he’ll get caught and looks down at the chef. “She’s good, Carm,” he sighs, nodding his head slowly and with raised brows. “Real good…Like Cicero said, she—she’s beautiful, ‘n she’s gotta career lined up for ‘er. But—” he hesitates when Carmen looks up— “The look on ‘er face, man, it—it changed when she found out you’re here.”
Something indescribable flows through his veins. “Wh—what d’ya mean?” He shakes his head in denial. “Like, like, it—what’d she look like?” He waits expectantly, and part of him hopes something hard and fast’ll put him out of his misery.
Richie swallows. He smooths a hand over his hair, lets it fall to the nape of his neck while his eyes dance elsewhere. “Listen, she…she just looked like—” He kisses his teeth, unsure of how to phrase it, weary of the first thing to come to mind and whether the subject was worth mentioning at all. He should lay it to rest.
But Carmen is ever the stubborn boy at heart. “Cousin.” Fingers drum against granite. “Looked like what?”
“...Like I’d just stabbed ‘er in the gut.”
Tumblr media
The rest of the family is enthralled by you, though whether it’s because they haven’t seen you in five years and miss you, or because it finally gives them an excuse to make Lee let someone else talk, you’re not sure. But by the time they let you get a breath in it feels like three hours have gone by, though when you peek at your watch, it’s barely been thirty minutes. You’d forgotten how exhausting the family is when they’re all together. Your head hurts. It’s too hot. You could use a nap.
Cicero looks at you a little softer from his chair. “Would you like a drink, hon? I should've asked ya before we sat you down for an interrogation.”
“Oh, well,” you start, pausing to let it seem like you aren’t dying for that opportunity, “I’ll have one. Is there wine?”
“Of course there is. I’ll grab a glass for ya—” he begins rising from his chair, but you stop him.
“It’s alright,” you insist. “I don’t mind getting it—in the kitchen?”
He nods, and you’re on your way. You pass by Richie and the Faks in the foyer and try to hide the deep breaths you’re focusing on, eyes shut and shoulders shrugging as Richie eyes the kitchen before you enter like you’ll be walking into a war zone.
It’s exactly what you’d expect: Donna with a glass in hand, Carmen assisting, an ashtray full nearby. Natalie has joined them, so you must have missed her on her way downstairs, and Pete hovers beside her as she speaks to him with a worried look on her face, disjointed from the other two Berzattos.
You’ve nearly psyched yourself up enough to interrupt when Donna notices you, almost instantly placing her glass on the counter. “Oh, Birdie, I—” She looks happy, you think, but with her it’s never been easy to tell. “C’mere, honey.” She opens her arms to you and gifts you a hug, patting your back as she says, “It’s been so long, my beautiful Bird—” she pulls away to get a better look at you and plants a kiss to your cheek, just like Cicero— “Oh gosh, you’re so beautiful, all grown up.” She smells thickly of tobacco.
“Thank you,” you laugh, dazed by so much affection from her, “Cicero said the same, it’s just been a while.”
“Well—” she picks up her glass promptly after her hands leave you— “It’s true, you’re practically glowing. He knows what he’s talking about.” She takes a hefty sip like she can’t get enough, and quickly looks to her son. “Isn’t that right, Carmen?”
From where he stands nudged into the corner, focused on the countertop with nothing to do but wring his hands, his attention perks up to his mother. “What was that, Ma?”
You can’t ignore the fact that she hasn’t acknowledged Natalie nor Pete since you arrived; you’re stuck, looped in with Donna and Carmen and somehow obligated to stay there until you’ve been dismissed. You know how she is. Carmen won’t look at you, either.
“Look at Birdie,” Donna coos, and she gestures to present you to him. Your stomach turns. “She’s gorgeous, isn’t she?” She smiles coolly, looks to Natalie only for a brief moment to rub salt in the wound.
Carmen, reluctantly, looks at you. His golden brown curls are disheveled as always, made messier by anxious runs of his fingers every few minutes. His mouth seems caught in a persistent pout that he won’t let up, and if it were years ago, you’d stay by his side until he broke you just to keep someone in his corner. Beneath his eyes rest dark circles, and he wears a forest green sweater you’ve never seen before. There’s a split second of eye contact that has your breath caught in your throat. You haven’t been able to look at him in what feels like a lifetime, let alone hear his voice—not even over the phone. It’s different than you remember, a little huskier, more fatigued. You wish you couldn’t care.
He gives a shallow nod and a shrug to Donna’s question.  “Yeah.” His eyes meet yours accidentally again before looking back to his mother, apathy bordering on distaste. “She looks nice.”
You look nice. You don’t know what you thought he would say. Part of you wished he would’ve said exactly as Donna did, or that he’d use the word beautiful, or stunning, or pretty, even. But he’s never been one for words—his consolation offerings were limited to a shared cigarette and sitting beside you, and you’ve always resented that part of him since your last Christmas together. If he’d been better with words, it would’ve been just that; there wouldn’t have been the hand on your back turning into an arm wrapped around your shoulder, he never would’ve pressed his lips to your temple for the first time since you were in kindergarten, you would’ve never been close enough to smell tobacco on his breath. You never would’ve known what American Spirits taste like off of anxious lips or what it feels like to be worth everything and then nothing at all.
Donna kisses her teeth and gives you a sympathetic look as she cups her hand to your neck. “Oh, sweetheart, don’t listen to him. He’s just in a mood today.” She sips her wine again, which quickly turns into the rest of the glass.
That’s not a mood, you think. That’s just Carmen.
Tumblr media
By the Berzatto standards, dinner preparation blows over without a hitch. The house smells divine, nothing is broken, no one has stormed out. Ma sits down with only five glasses of wine in her system. No one mentions the gaping hole in the seating arrangement at one head of the table—not even Lee.
Carmen feels the weight of it on his shoulders, and he thinks you feel it too. You sit for a few minutes as everyone settles with your head in your hands, eyes closed as you breathe. Every time you open your eyes they shoot to Mikey’s seat, only for your hands to cover them again with a sniffle. Richie keeps a good eye on you, even though they’re getting glassy from watching you, and he rests a soothing hand on your back before leaning down and whispering something Carmen doesn’t catch. You shake your head, perking back up again as you dab at your eyes with your sleeves, looking to Richie and mouthing the words I’m okay with a smile plastered on. Carmen’s skeptical.
Uncle Jimmy insists on saying grace as a way to honor both you and Carmen being in Chicago for the holiday, and instinctively he looks to you, looking for something to hold onto to let things feel normal with you, but you keep your eyes closed. Since you walked into the kitchen nearly an hour ago he hasn’t been able to get his mind off of the sweetheart neckline of your dress, or the locket pendant hanging close to your chest. Mikey gifted it to you, he remembers, when you earned your undergraduate degree—presented in a black velvet box when you saw him after the ceremony, you cried. Carmen wasn’t there; he was in Copenhagen, doing other things. He can’t quite remember what.
Grace gives way to a more quiet bustle of the dinner, where talking is more or less limited to passing plates and taking first bites, making sure everyone has said hello to everyone. He sits almost silent, taking a measly bite every few moments to avoid an excuse to talk. He notices you don’t navigate this dinner like you have the countless ones before: you’re engaged tonight, laughing with Richie beside you and looping Sugar and Pete into your banter; you’re no longer the teen you once were, who would sit at the end of the table with him to stay quiet and barely munch on dinner, the two youngest with Mikey to your sides, pestering the both of you to Eat, ‘fore Ma tells you to. And it’s not a bad thing, either. You always had that way about you like Mikey did, where you could make conversation with anyone, make them fall in love with you, make them think you’re their best friend. He’s always thought you were his, anyway. You look happier than he’s ever seen you. Ever since he could remember, he had a feeling you’d outshine him.
It’s like Ma said—you’re glowing.
It’s nearing fifteen minutes since the food being served when Sugar nudges him on his right. “You alright, Bear?” She keeps it quiet, under the radar. “You haven’t eaten much.”
He nods and takes a bite to cover his tracks. “Yeah, yeah—just not that hungry, ‘s all.” He hasn’t eaten today. It’s the nerves, really, of seeing everyone—of seeing Ma, seeing you. Brings him back to New York, where his morning ritual included huddling over the toilet and rinsing his mouth until he couldn’t taste stomach acid anymore. He’s hoping that with being in the kitchen all day, she doesn’t pry. “Thanks, Sug.”
She furrows her brows but drops the subject with a bit of a pout. “…Okay.”
“So,” Stevie starts, at the opposite corner of the table, leaning over his plate to smile at you from down the table. “Birdie—can I call you Birdie? Is that okay?”
You smile that smile you always do when you’re caught off-guard before shrugging lightheartedly and taking a bite. “Uh, sure. I mean, everyone here does.”
Richie makes eyes at you, weirded out, and Carmen tries to follow, but you only link with the older of the two. He’s shut out.
“Great. I’ve been wondering—why does everyone call you that? I mean, I know Sugar here’s got an origin story, so what’s yours?”
“Oh, this is such a sweet one,” Ma chimes in, hands over her heart. “They was so adorable, her ‘n Carmen.” The words have warmth blossoming in his chest and rising to his neck.
“Yeah,” you laugh, “I’m probably not the best person to tell you; I was really little.” You try to stifle a smile at the thought, and Carmen knows it’s the same thought as his: Mikey loved that story. “Richie’s probably man for the job.” You look up to the man on your left and pat him on the back to startle him. “Aren’t ya, Rich?”
“Uh, yeah, fuck that.” He nods to Carmen. “He can tell ya, Stevie, he was the one dancin’ with ‘er like an idiot, not me.” He shoves three bites’ worth of food into his mouth so he won’t have to talk anymore.
Sugar cuts in, “He was also five, he had nothin’ to do with picking that name.”
“Yeah?” he taunts, mouth still full because he can’t help but put up a fight, “Then you were eleven, missy, so you can tell it. You remember.”
The room starts spinning, there’s back and forth between Sugar and Richie, and Neil’s roped into it, and then Michelle’s convincing them to calm down, but Richie’s still going at it, starting to tell the story, but Ma says it’s not right, and Sugar cuts in again, and the room is still spinning and his head won’t stop pounding and there isn’t enough water in the world to clear his throat.
“Alright, alright!” It’s Uncle Jimmy now, almost shouting, waving his hands to simmer the room. Carmen would thank him if he could speak. “I’ll tell the damn story, you all settle down, eh?” He clears his throat, sips on his drink. “Our Birdie here, when she was real young, now she was a singer. All the time, some tune. Didn’t even have t’be a real song, she’d be hummin’ it anyway.”
You’re sheepish as Uncle Jimmy praises you, grinning to yourself and rolling your eyes at the embarrassment. Cute, Carmen thinks. He smiles and takes a bite of his food.
“An’ remember,” Uncle Jimmy continues, “This was late ‘90s, we didn’t have none’ah that YouTube, Spotify music bullshit, whatever’s popular with you people now—so anyway. We had this boombox for the longest time—”
“Yeah,” Richie interrupts, “Was a real piece a shit, that’s for damn sure.”
Cicero points to Richie while looking at Steve. “Correct. So one Christmas, many, many years ago—”
“Don’t make it sound so cryptic,” you giggle, and Carmen has a tiny fire lit in his chest, eyes trapped on your smile. He remembers that night—not so vividly, but enough.
“Right, right. I apologize, sweetheart.” Uncle Jimmy turns back to Stevie. “One Christmas the weather was especially bad—snow storm, crazy winds, Christmas lights flyin’ everywhere—and the power goes out. An’ our boombox ain’t workin’, got jammed or somethin’.” He shrugs, makes a face that’s unassuming. “So whatta ya do for the music, then? Everyone knows you need holiday music, eh?”
With you, Carmen laughs for the first time tonight. He likes it that way, uninterrupted by the noise of the other guests, who are all listening fondly and eating their meals. It’s like that special Christmas all over again. You’re so pretty when you’re laughing, part of him is a little jealous that anyone else gets to see you like this.
“So Mikey comes up with a great idea. We already got a singer, right? So we just need ‘er to do the holiday songs. So we get ‘er, ‘n we ask her to sing for us all—me, Donna, Mikey, Richie, Sugar, ‘n Carmen, that was it ‘cause ‘ah the storm—but she won’t do it.”
“They were tryin’ to force me, Stevie!” You smile up the table and back at Uncle Jimmy. Carmen beams back at you even though you’re not looking. Richie is.
“An’ she’s cryin’,” Uncle Jimmy continues, “An’ she’s all nervous, she can’t do it, whatever. Then our little Carmy Bear over there—” he shoots him a look with a smug and pointing finger, and Carmen flushes, grinning at his plate to hide from you— “Now he’s her knight in shinin’ armor.”
Everyone smiles at that—you, Richie, Sug, Ma, and Carmen, and everyone else—because that’s the truth. At least it was, for a while. You and Carmen keep your smiles downcast, hidden from the other, and Richie and Sugar make eyes at one another, looking between the two of you.
“He gets ‘er outta her hidin’ spot behind the couch where she was cryin’ an’ he brings ‘er a wooden spoon for a microphone, and he whispers somethin’ to ‘er—to this day I dunno what, coulda been anythin’ for all I care—and all of a sudden she wants to sing again. She sings Rudolph, Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman, all the stuff the kids knew, an’ she does it all with this wooden spoon, with our little Bear holdin’ ‘er hand the whole time.”
“An’ he didn’t even do anythin’!” Richie points out. “Just stood there, swingin’ ‘er arm like a jagoff—”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Uncle Jimmy waves off, “But he did it for ‘er. And so,” he says, a finality in his tone, looking back at Stevie across the table, “Birdie is born. Our little Christmas song bird protected by the Big Bear. An’ the rest is history.”
Stevie smiles and nods his head. “That was sweet. Really, really sweet.”
“Oh,” Ma laments, “I just love that story. They were such babies then, so cute. It was always Birdie ‘n Carmy doin’ this, Carmy ‘n Birdie doin’ that. Always on their little adventures together. He took her everywhere.”
Carmen smiles to himself, head down as he eats his food. He doesn’t think of his childhood often, more so the teenage years if anything, when he was failing school. Hearing back such a memory brings up a sense of nostalgia—not necessarily for being a kid again, or doing those stupid things, but for how easy it was.
Ma is right: it was you and him together for the ride, up until it wasn’t. He never cared as much after reaching high school. You were in different buildings, and he saw you around but didn’t spend as much time with you anymore. He outgrew you, it seemed. Even in his early twenties when that fire rekindled, he devoted himself to his work. You were still close, closer than you were with anyone else in the family, and nothing would ever change that. But life ran its course.
And it ran pretty damn fast.

Third Person POV
In the days following Y/N’s courageous decision to leave her toxic relationship, Toto Wolff found himself more intertwined with her life than ever before. The transition was far from smooth, but Y/N’s resolve was unyielding, and Toto’s support unwavering.
Y/N had moved into a small apartment, a space that was hers alone, a stark contrast to the oppressive environment she had escaped. Toto was there to help her settle in, bringing boxes and offering to assemble furniture, though he often found himself more focused on being present for her than the tasks at hand.
Late one evening, as they sat on her new couch, surrounded by the remnants of unpacked boxes, Y/N looked over at Toto, her eyes reflecting both exhaustion and relief. “I don’t think I could have done this without you,” she admitted softly.
Toto smiled, the warmth in his eyes reassuring. “You’re stronger than you realize, Y/N. But I’m glad I could help.” He hesitated, then added, “How are you feeling?”
Y/N leaned back, sighing. “It’s a mix. Freedom is exhilarating, but there’s still fear, and a lot of uncertainty. But having you here makes it bearable.”
Toto reached out, taking her hand gently. “You’re not alone. You never will be.”
Their connection deepened with each passing day. Toto found solace in Y/N’s company, her presence a balm to his often tumultuous life in Formula One. He marveled at her resilience, her ability to find joy even amidst the chaos of her new beginning. Y/N, in turn, found a steady anchor in Toto, his unwavering support giving her the strength to rebuild her life.
Despite the growing intimacy between them, Toto was mindful of the power dynamics and the significant age gap. He wanted to ensure that Y/N felt empowered and independent, not reliant on him for her happiness. They navigated this delicate balance with grace, their mutual respect and understanding forming the foundation of their relationship.
As the racing season progressed, Toto and Y/N's bond continued to evolve, drawing the attention of those around them. Colleagues noticed the subtle changes in their interactions, the stolen glances, and the way they gravitated towards each other. Speculations arose, but neither Toto nor Y/N felt the need to justify their connection. It was theirs to define, and they were content with that.
Then came the Brazilian Grand Prix, a race renowned for its intensity and unpredictability. Toto was immersed in the strategic complexities of the weekend when he received a text message from Y/N: “I need to talk to you. Can you meet me?”
Despite the hectic schedule, Toto’s concern for Y/N took precedence. He found her in a quiet corner of the paddock, her expression serious yet composed.
“Toto,” she began, her voice steady but carrying an undercurrent of emotion, “I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. About us, about everything. I don’t want to rush into anything, but I also don’t want to keep denying what I feel.”
Toto’s heart raced. “Y/N, I understand completely. I’ve been thinking about it too. I care for you deeply, more than I can express. But I want to make sure that whatever we do, it’s right for you.”
Y/N stepped closer, her eyes locking onto his. “You’ve been my rock, Toto. I don’t want to live my life with regrets, and I don’t want to miss out on something potentially amazing because I was scared. So, what I’m saying is, let’s take this one step at a time. Together.”
Toto’s smile was one of pure relief and joy. “I’d like nothing more, Y/N. One step at a time.”
The rest of the race weekend was a whirlwind, but beneath the surface, there was a new sense of calm and anticipation. They navigated their professional responsibilities with the same dedication as always, but with an added layer of personal connection that made everything feel more meaningful.
As the season drew to a close, Toto and Y/N found themselves looking ahead with a mix of excitement and trepidation. They were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that they had each other. Their journey was just beginning, and with each passing day, they grew more certain that they had found something truly special.
On a crisp winter evening, after the final race of the season, Toto and Y/N sat together, watching the snow fall outside. The world was quiet, the only sound the crackling of the fire in the hearth.
Y/N leaned her head on Toto’s shoulder, her voice barely above a whisper. “I’m glad we took this step. It feels right.”
Toto kissed the top of her head, his heart full. “Me too, Y/N. Me too.”
And so, they embraced the future, hand in hand, ready to face whatever came their way. For they had found in each other not just love, but a partnership built on trust, respect, and an unwavering commitment to face life’s challenges together.

౨ৎ Project Partners ౨ৎ || ⋆౨ৎ˚ Nate Version ⋆౨ৎ˚ || Series Masterlist ||
ᡣ𐭩 | Warnings - Smut, theres like a lot of kinky shit
ᡣ𐭩 | Summary - Nate and Y/n get partnered together for a project, they chose to do it at the empty library.
Disclaimer - this one is a bit longer( 3,300 words) with a lot of buildup, good smut tho
Y/n sat in her homeroom, rolling her eyes at the way Nate was laughing so obnoxiously with his friends. He always had to be the center of attention, the one everyone looked up to. She didn't understand why he bothered. She preferred to keep to herself and not draw attention. Her long, wavy auburn hair fell over one shoulder, framing her delicate features. She wore her usual ensemble; a short pink dress, white ankle socks, and a pair of black Mary Jane shoes.
She glanced down at her schedule and sighed when she saw that she had been partnered with Nate for a project. They were supposed to meet at the library after school. Great. Just what she needed. As class came to an end, she quickly gathered her things and made her way to her locker.
Once she had her things, she made her way out of the school and towards the library. It was a quiet, peaceful place, unlike the chaos that was the school. The library was practically empty, save for a few stragglers doing homework or studying. She walked over to a table near the window and sat down, waiting for Nate to arrive.
A few minutes later, the familiar obnoxious laughter echoed through the library. Nate stormed in, his brown hair a mess and his clothes disheveled. He immediately spotted her and rolled his eyes before making his way over to the table. "Great," he muttered as he sat down across from her. "I get stuck with the cutesy little princess. Figures."
Y/n ignored his comment and opened her mouth to speak. "So, Nate," she began, trying to sound as professional as possible, "what did you have in mind for our project?"
Nate leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest. "Well, I was thinking we could do some research on the history of this place." He smiled at her, revealing a set of straight, white teeth. "That way, we can impress our teacher and get an A." Y/n couldn't help but feel a shiver run down her spine at his smile. It wasn't exactly warm and inviting.
"Sounds like a plan," she replied, trying to ignore the uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach. "What do you want to do first?"
"Well," he said, leaning in closer to her, "since we're here at the library, why don't we start by looking up some books?" He gestured towards the bookshelves behind him. "I'm sure we'll find something interesting."
Y/n nodded and stood up, following him over to the bookshelves. She began to search for a book on the history of the library while Nate browsed through the stacks nearby. After a few minutes of searching, she finally found a promising book and brought it over to the table. Nate glanced at it and smiled.
"Good choice," he said, reaching out to take the book from her. "Now, why don't you sit back down and I'll start looking through it?" Y/n felt a strange mixture of relief and annoyance at his tone. She didn't like the way he was ordering her around, but she supposed they were supposed to be working together.
Sighing inwardly, she sat down again and waited for him to begin. Nate opened the book and began to skim through it, muttering to himself as he read. After a few minutes, he looked up at her and smirked. "So, how's your life, princess?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Y/n bit her lip, trying to ignore the barb. "It's fine," she replied, forcing a smile. "And you can call me Y/n."
"Oh, really?" he drawled. "And why would I want to do that?"
She glared at him for a moment before looking away, feeling her cheeks flush with anger and embarrassment. "I don't know," she muttered. "Maybe because it's my name?"
Nate laughed, the sound grating on her nerves. "Oh, please," he scoffed. "You think you're so special just because you're all cute and innocent. Well, let me tell you something, sweetheart." He leaned in close, his breath hot against her ear. "No one here cares about how cute you are."
Y/n felt a shiver run down her spine at his words. They stung worse than she expected. She wanted to argue, to defend herself, but she couldn't find the words. Instead, she just sat there, feeling small and helpless.
Nate seemed to notice the effect his words had on her and smirked. "There we go," he said, sitting back in his chair. "That's the expression I was looking for."
"oh shut up" she replies and rolls her eyes, reaching over his lap to grab the book. "let's get back to work, shall we?" she asks, trying to keep her voice steady.
Nate grinned at her, his teeth white against his tanned skin. "Oh, all right," he says, giving her a mocking bow. "Your highness has spoken."
Y/n gritted her teeth, feeling the urge to punch him in the arm grow stronger with each passing second. She ignored it, focusing instead on the book in front of her. They worked in silence for a while, each of them absorbed in their own thoughts and the information they were reading.
after an hour or two, y/n stretches a bit, tying her hair up and removing her sweater to get a bit more comfortable
Nate glanced up from his reading, his gaze lingering on her exposed skin for a moment too long. "Hot enough for you, princess?" he asked, trying to sound casual. Y/n rolled her eyes at the question "Like actually, shut up." she says, glaring at Nate
He chuckled, shaking his head. "Oh, you're so cute when you're annoyed," he teased. "You're really annoying." she says, getting up with her book to lay stomach down on the carpet behind him. "And you're really full of yourself," she muttered under her breath. Nate ignored her and continued to read, his gaze occasionally flicking over to her as she laid there.
"wait, can't we use this?" she says, signaling for him to come read a page in her book
Nate sighed, setting his own book aside and walking over to her. "Fine," he said, squatting down beside her. "What do you need me to see?" She pointed to a particular section of the page, and he glanced down at it, his expression unreadable. "alright, put that in."
he stands up, glancing at her ass, and then down at the book again. "That's what I thought," he said, nodding. "Good job, princess."
Y/n felt her cheeks heat up again. She turned away, pretending to study another section of the book. "Thanks," she muttered. Nate laughed and walked back over to his chair, sitting down with a satisfied smile on his face.
"You know," he began, "for someone who's supposed to be all innocent and whatever, you can be pretty sarcastic when you want to be."
"And for someone who's supposed to be all tough and whatever, you sure are a big baby," she shot back.
"its funny how you're saying all this while you're dressed like that." he scoffs "you should really shut the fuck up" she says, standing up.
"Or what?" he challenged with a smirk. "You'll what? Cry? I didn't think so."
Y/n's blood boiled. "Picking on girls isn't gonna make your dick any bigger."
Nate smirked "You know what, princess?" he said, leaning forward in his chair, "i don't need to worry about that, im good in size and shape."
She rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. You're such a jerk."
"You know what, maybe I am," he agreed with a shrug. "But at least I'm not some stuck-up little brat who thinks she's better than everyone else just because she's cute."
"i do not think I'm better than everybody else!" she says, moving towards him.
"Then why do you act like you are?" he challenged. "Why do you think you can just say whatever you want and no one will ever stand up to you?"
"fuck off, you're an arrogant little shit who doesn't know one thing about m-"
Before she could finish, he leaned forward, his face inches from hers. "I know exactly what kind of person you are, princess," he growled. "And I'm not afraid to say it."
Y/n's heart was pounding, but she forced herself to hold her ground. "And what exactly do you know about me?" she hissed back.
Nate grinned, his eyes boring into hers. "I know you're just as much of a jerk as I am," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "And I know that deep down, you like it."
The words hit her like a punch to the gut. She couldn't believe he would say something like that. "You're disgusting," she managed to choke out.
"and you like it, prancing around, trying so hard to impress me. honestly i expected better, but once a slut, always a slut,"he retorts
"You're such a fucking pig!" she spat. "I'm not like that!"
"Then why are you acting like it now?" he asked, leaning back in his chair and folding his arms over his chest. "Why do you keep coming back for more?"
She couldn't believe he would say that. "i fucking hate you" she says, walking into the back room of the library to finish some of the project. Nate follows her.
"somebody needs to teach you a lesson" he says, walking up behind her. "You keep pushing me like this, im gonna fuck the attitude out of you."
"W-what?"
Nate grabbed her shoulders, spinning her around to face him. His eyes were wild, his nostrils flaring. "You heard me," he growled. "You keep playing these games, you keep pushing me, and I'm going to make you regret it."
Y/n's heart hammered in her chest as he held her, as his breath fanned across her face. She couldn't believe he was actually serious. "You wouldn't dare," she whispered.
His grip on her shoulders tightened, and his expression darkened even further. "Oh, princess," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "I dare."
"you fucking won't, you're pathetic" she says.
Nate just laughed, a cruel, mocking sound. "We'll see about that," he said, and then he leaned in, kissing her.
A small moan slips through her lips into the kiss. His tongue tracing against hers, and his hands grip her hips, pulling her closer. She can't believe she's letting him do this, but she can't seem to help herself. It's like there's a switch inside of her that's been flipped, and now all she wants is more of him.
He pulls away, breathing heavily, and looks down at her. "See?" he says, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "You're not so innocent after all."
"shut up" she says, her voice barely more than a whisper. "You're just as bad as I am."
"Maybe we're perfect for each other," he muses, kissing her again.
"You're pathetic."
"And you like it." He says between kisses.
"No," she whispers, but her body betrays her. It feels so good, so right, to be wanted like this. To be desired.
Nate pulls away, looking into her eyes. "I think you're starting to believe it," he says, a knowing smile curving his lips. "And I think you're starting to like it."
"I don't…" she starts to protest, but the words trail off as he kisses her again, his hands sliding up her back, cupping her breasts through her shirt.
Her head swims, and she can feel herself giving in to the heat building between them. "Nate…" she breathes out, arching into his touch.
"That's it, baby," he whispers against her lips. "Let go."
And as they kiss, she does. She lets go of everything - her pride, her innocence, her attitude - and gives in to the passion that's been building between them. She's not sure how much longer she can resist him, or if she even wants to.
Their kisses grow deeper, more urgent, as his hands wander lower, pushing up her shirt and cupping her bare skin. She gasps when she feels his fingers brush against her nipple, hardening beneath his touch. He groans into the kiss, and she can feel his erection pressing against her through his pants.
She unbuttons his shirt, revealing the defined muscles of his chest, and he groans again as she explores his skin with her hands. He's bigger than she expected, and she can't help but feel a thrill of anticipation as she thinks about what it would be like to have him inside of her.
Their kisses grow even more intense, their tongues tangling together as they both struggle for air. Nate's hands slide down her back, over her ass, gripping her through her pants. She arches her back, pressing against him, and he growls in response, his hips moving in a rough rhythm against her.
Her head spins with desire, and she can feel herself getting closer and closer to the edge. "Nate," she moans, "I want you."
He pulls back, looking into her eyes, and she can see the lust burning bright in his gaze. "You're so fucking beautiful," he whispers before lowering his head, kissing her neck, her collarbone. His hands slide under her shirt, cupping her breasts, and he groans as he feels her nipples harden beneath his touch.
She grips his shoulders, digging her nails into his skin as he continues to kiss and touch her, moving lower still. His hands slide down her stomach, pushing her pants and underwear down her hips, and she gasps when she feels his fingers against her folds.
"Fuck, you're wet," he breathes, his voice husky with desire. "So fucking wet for me."
Her hips arch off the floor as he slips a finger inside of her, finding her entrance slick with arousal. She moans, her head falling back against the wall as he begins to stroke her in a gentle, teasing rhythm.
"Nate…" she whimpers, feeling the pressure building inside of her. "I need…"
He looks up at her, his eyes dark and hungry. "Tell me what you need," he says, his voice rough with desire.
"I need you," she whispers, her voice barely audible. "Please."
He smiles, and then slides his fingers deeper inside of her, finding her clit and circling it gently. She gasps, arching her back, her nails digging into his shoulders. "That's it, baby," he whispers. "Let go."
And with that, she does. Her body explodes in a wave of pleasure, her muscles tensing and relaxing as she cries out his name.
She clings to him, her body still trembling from the intensity of the sensations coursing through her.
"Get on your knees." His voice is rough and urgent.
She does as he says, lowering herself down until she's kneeling before him. He pulls his pants and boxers down, freeing his erection, and she looks up at him, her heart pounding in anticipation.
"Are you ready for this?" he asks, his voice low and gruff. "open your mouth"
She opens her mouth, feeling her lips part as she stares up at him. His eyes darken as he watches her, and then he groans, pushing forward, guiding his cock into her mouth. She gags on the thickness of it, feeling it stretch her lips and touch the back of her throat. He grunts, his hips moving as he begins to thrust into her mouth, fucking her face.
She sucks and licks, trying to take as much of him as she can, her hands gripping his hips for leverage.
"That's it, baby," he growls, his voice strained. "Take it all."
And she does. She takes every inch of him into her mouth, her throat, her body, until she feels him tense and shudder against her lips. His hot seed spills down her throat, and she swallows, feeling it slide down her throat as he continues to thrust into her mouth.
At last, he pulls away, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he stares down at her. "Fuck," he whispers, his eyes dark with desire. "You're unbelievable."
She looks up at him, her chest heaving with exertion, and she feels a thrill of pride run through her.
He pulls her up and spins her so her back is facing him.
"pass me my tie, baby."
She reaches around, feeling for the tie he wears, and then hands it to him. He takes it, his movements are quick and efficient, then he wraps and ties her hands behind her back.
"Are you gonna be able to be a good girl and keep quiet?"
She nods, her heart racing with anticipation. "I'll be quiet."
He smirks, and then reaches around to unbutton her shirt. "That's my good girl."
he turns her so her back is to him and bends her over. "ima fuck this tight pussy."
And with that, he pushes inside of her, filling her up and making her moan. he spanks her and stops moving. "i said no noises baby. Do you understand?" he says, yanking her hair back.
She nods, biting her lip to keep quiet.
"Good girl." He says before beginning to thrust into her again, his hips slamming against her ass. Her back arches as she feels the sensation of being filled and taken. She tries to concentrate on the pleasure, but the sting of the spankings mixes in, making the sensation both exquisite and painful.
"You feel so good," he groans, his breath hot against her neck. "God, you're making me lose it."
She moans, unable to help herself as he pushes her closer and closer to the edge. "Please…" she whispers. "I'm close…"
he slows his thrust down, killing her pleasure. "I said," he spanks her, "No fucking noises." he reaches down and grabs her panties, shoving them in her mouth to keep her quiet.
Then, he starts to move faster, harder, his thrusts deep and powerful. "Fuck, you feel so good," he growls. "Come for me, baby."
And with those words, she does. Her body shudders with the force of her orgasm, her muscles tightening around him as she cries out into her makeshift gag. He follows her over the edge, groaning her name as he comes, filling her up. he unties her hand from behind her back and ties them above her head.
"you want more, baby?"
She nods, her eyes shining with desire.
He grins, then leans in and kisses her neck. "I've got just the thing for you."
He pushes her forward, onto her hands and knees, and then positions himself behind her. His cock slides easily inside her again, and he begins to move, fucking her hard and fast.
"You're mine," he growls. "You always will be."
She moans, arching her back as he takes her roughly, claiming her body and her pleasure. This time, he lets her make as much noise as she wants, and she cries out his name over and over again, lost in the intensity of their lovemaking.
He thrusts into her, his hips slamming against her ass, her body shaking with each impact. The air fills with the sounds of their breathless gasps and the slapping of their bodies together.
He grabs her hair, pulling her back, and then thrusts deeper, harder, his cock hitting her sweet spot again and again. She comes around him, her body convulsing with pleasure, and he follows close behind, groaning her name as he spills himself into her.
He holds her still for a moment, his cock still buried inside her, their bodies joined in a sweaty, satisfied heap on the floor. Then, he pulls out.
"You're amazing," he whispers, kissing her forehead.

Tumblr media
It’s not always that your husband, Naoya Zen’in, can personally attend his son’s annual parent-teacher meeting. As the clan leader and a special grade one sorcerer, he has other, more pressing matters to attend on. His son understands this, and you never complained. Not once have you questioned his absence either in the knowledge Naoya rarely got any proper rest with how demanding his duty as a sorcerer is, but today would be different.
Your son, Naori, is already six and in first grade. Six years of his lovely son being here in this world and this would be his first parent-teacher meeting. And as the head representative of the mighty Zen’in Clan, Naoya showed up dressed to the nines in a custom-tailored suit, genuine Italian Ferragamo leather shoes, and dark shades resting atop his nose. He is every bit the image of a man who had it all in the palm of his hands. The man who fathers wished to be in their prime, the man that wives shamelessly stared at as he brushed his hair back—you could tell pride swelled his magnanimous ego.
After all, he was no stranger to his beauty.
Pampered at such a young age and trained diligently to whatever ‘perfection’ meant as an image to the Zen’in Clan, Naoya exudes elegance with every step. He emits jealousy from everybody he walks past—unsuspecting that he, too, would be subjected to such a vile, green emotion he wishes he would never experience. At a meeting, no less.
As soon as the parent-teacher meeting finished, the kids scrambled everywhere to play. Chaos would have erupted into the room if their watchful parents weren’t surveying their other move. Thankfully, Naori has always been behaved and was content quietly playing with his cars while he rested against his father’s leg, leaving you to discuss to Mr. Sato about Nari’s condition in school.
You would have loved to watch the cute father and son duo more if the teacher hadn’t hovered in front of you already.
“Your son is doing extremely well in school. He’s such a bright, young boy,” Mr. Sato compliments, clearly basking in the attention you direct towards him.
Mr. Sato... for simpler terms, never bothers to hide how he fancies you. Ever since the first day when you took Naori to school and he laid eyes on you, a day wouldn’t pass where he didn’t strike a conversation with you. And you, deferential as ever, have no valid reason to ignore him when he always makes your son the topic before it revolves back to you—and the constant curiosity on where your infamous husband is.
Although Naoya knew better you looked at no one else but him, and you were simply ridiculously polite to a fault, you could hear him scoff from the background.
Your husband’s hot stare burned holes at the back of your head.
“Oh, thank you. I’m glad to hear my son is doing well.”
“Well, I can see where his brilliance comes from. He has such a beautiful and attentive mother supporting him,” the man’s eyes darken in approval, tongue darting out to lick at his lips. “It’s always nice seeing you here, Mrs. Zen’in.”
“Mr. Zen’in is here, too,” a smooth, velvety voice cuts through the air. Naoya’s agile movements cut through the air until your husband stands next to you, his strong cologne washing over your senses like a comforting blanket despite his menacing stare. The man, who he soon learns is his son’s homeroom teacher, wears the look of horror. His gaze zeroes in the possessive hand resting at the small of your back. You’re unbothered by this, simply leaning into your husband’s familiar warmth that your scent nearly calms him down. Just by a little bit. He’ll try to act more civil for yours and your son’s sake. “Sato-sensei, was it?”
“Y-Yes, sir. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. I...I didn’t think you’d ever come, you were always missing out on your son’s special events.”
“Naoya, this is Naori’s homeroom teacher. He’s been wanting to meet you for a while now.”
A handsome smile tugs his lips into a more genuine one at the sound of your voice. Sending you a soft glance, Naoya’s arm snakes around your waist and squeezes there. A blatant show of reminding this teacher that you were Naoya’s wife—not anyone else’s woman.
“I see. Now that I’ve met you, Sato-sensei, I’ll be switching my son to a different class. I don’t want him under the supervision of a man who doesn’t know that married women are not available for his taking. How unprofessional,” he snickers, tipping his head in the direction of the door before calling out for his son. “Let us go.”
Quickly saying goodbye to his friends, little Naori bounces up to his father’s leg and asks to be carried. Normally, Naoya wouldn’t have carried him. He thinks Naori should be a big boy by now, but deep down, he feels uneasy at the thought his son was growing up too fast and immediately bundled the boy in his arms.
“Daddy, is it true? Are you moving Naori to a different class?”
Brushing his son’s hair back, he nods. “Yes. Daddy wants the best teacher for you, and Sato-sensei isn’t good enough. Don’t worry, though, I’m sure you’ll make friends easily at your new class.”
“But Daddy...” pouting, Naori’s cheek rests on Naoya’s chest as he fights back tears. “I’m already happy with my classmates. ‘Don’t wanna go.”
Before he could open his mouth to speak, a gentle hand caressed his arm. You sit next to him and flutter your eyelashes prettily—perfectly aware that Naoya is much weaker than he let on. Sure, he thinks of himself highly, but he is too madly in love with you far more than he believes he was capable of. Sometimes he even thinks you must have put a curse on him for him to be this weak for a woman’s pleading gaze (his words, not yours.)
You just need to work your charm.
“Naoya, darling, can we at least talk about this? You can’t move Naori from a different class just like that. You have to consider his feelings, too. You know our son has a hard time adjusting to different environments and it’s already the middle of the school year.”
However, no matter how putty he is—no matter how much he was at the absolute mercy of your hands—he will never show you that. He is Naoya Zen’in. Strong, dominant, and a powerful man who doesn’t bow to anyone. The most he could do is hear you out to keep his facade, when in reality, Naoya is rather compliant to your requests. Even more so with Naori’s pleas, but the little boy never asks for much.
“Are you trying to change my mind so you can keep visiting that teacher?”
“What?” you frown, wondering what made him come to that conclusion when your shoulders sag at the realization. Your husband is jealous. It should’ve been obvious, but to be accused of such has you crossing your arms against your chest. “Is this what this is about?”
Naoya gives you a firm look. “We’ll talk later when we get home.”
The slight arch of his brow tells you otherwise. Not much words are spoken when you arrive home, little Naori swept away by the nannies upon seeing the sour expression on Naoya’s face, the deep scowl on his lips—lips that were now latched at the column of your neck as he rudely shoves you against a wall. His hand acts as cushion so you wouldn’t be hurt, and your breaths come out laboured. Whines of his name as you tug at his hair echo in the deadly silent Zen’in Estate who left you both at their own devices.
“You’re being such a brat, you know that?”
“Whatever do you mean by that?” you tease, only to have your smirk ripped away when Naoya unclasps your bra with one hand. Dress now ripped and the remains shoved under your tits. Tipping your head back, you let your husband ravage you as he pleases—smooth hands tweaking your erect nipples until you keen, his hot tongue dancing with yours in a fast, intense rhythm you knew he likes. His erection grazing at your thigh was proof of this.
You pull away from him as you breathe hard. “N-Not here, love, in the bedroom. People could see—”
Your words fall into deaf ears. “Let them see. Let them know you’re mine.”
“I already am yours—” Naoya presses a palm against your mouth. His eyes warned you to be quiet, meaning you were only allowed to moan, beg, call out for his name—anything else and you would be severely punished. Whether that means being on your knees until your jaw aches or your merciless husband pleasuring you into overstimulation, you’ve learned your lesson enough to know keeping these pretty lips shut was the best decision.
“See?” he smirks, “Not so hard to just stand there and be good, little slut, right?”
You nod, never once breaking eye contact as he pushes a finger in your mouth. Tongue greedily lapping at another digit. Eyes rolling at the back of your head as the remnants of your houndstooth Balmain dress are shredded. It’s a beautiful dress, too—one of your favourites—but you couldn’t care about the price when Naoya was leaving kisses everywhere. From your jaw, to your collar, the sides of your breasts, and your hips. His hands followed not long afterwards, squeezing the flesh of your ass when you felt teeth graze at your skin.
“I should mark you up,” he whispers breathily, slowly dropping down to his knees. His breath begins to hover at your pussy covered in lace. “Then I’ll make you strut around everywhere with these hickeys in sight—that should tell people you’re mine, yeah?”
“N-Naoya, don’t, please, we have dinner with your family too—”
He pushes a prodding finger against your walls, warm lips sucking on your pelvic bone. “Shh,” your husband coos like he isn’t knuckle deep into you right now. Your hands clutch at his hair being the only leverage you have for standing upright, legs shaking and a fist balled against your lips to keep the lewd sounds in. Heavens forbid anybody walk in on you right now.
“Just let me make you feel good, love. I’d fill you up so nice and get you pregnant again, hm? How’s that sound? You’d make a happy daddy of two, beautiful children.”
You could barely think straight.
Your legs spread apart by themselves as your knees grow weaker by each minute. Meanwhile, your husband stares at you innocently from below—grinning the lower his lips travels and tongue peeking out to experimentally lick at your clit. One flick of his tongue, and you’re done for.
Adding another finger, Naoya curls them in and out of you. His fingers are longer and thicker than yours that he reaches places in you that only he could find. He’s memorized your body enough to know which spot to press harder on, which pace you like—which is always hard and fast before he scissors you in a sensual manner. When your chest falls forward and droplets of sweat fall on his hand, Naoya pumps in faster out of you. The pornographic sounds of slick dripping all over his hand are like music to your ears. His loud, greedy slurping like he’s a starved man desperate for pussy twists your insides for an impending orgasm.
You squeezed tight around him, calling out his name, begging for a release.
And just as you’re about to cum, your husband pulls his fingers out. Leaving you shaking by yourself as your fully-dressed husband stands back to his full height, his face drenched into your juices stretching into a grin.
“I... Naoya, why...?”
You couldn’t even form coherent sentences anymore.
“What?” licking off his fingers one by one, he chuckles. “Did you think I would let you cum that easily? After you flirted with that man? Who knows what could’ve happened if I wasn’t there. the way he looked at you was shameless.”
“I don’t even like him, Naoya. You’re my husband, and...and—”
“And?”
He knows where this is going. You’re always like this—riling him up like you’re begging to be punished and teased to countless failed orgasms. It isn’t his fault anymore if you cry while you lay on his lap, his large hands leaving marks on your ass because you just wouldn’t behave. Naoya is an impatient man, and you are cunning to always push his buttons but you were all bark, no bite. The moment he has his fingers, tongue, or his fat cock shoved in you in whatever hole he likes, you lose all will to fight back.
Go ahead, his smile taunts you, tell me what you want. Sometimes, if he feels generous enough, he might just grant whatever his pretty wife wishes for.
“And... you’re the only one I want.”
Looping his damp fingers around his tie, you watch as your husband stretches the muscles of his neck and throws his tie to the ground. “What exactly do you want from me, hm?” His belt follows next. Breathing hard, you lean against the wall to brace yourself while Naoya cups his hardness through his pants. It pokes against the fabric like a third leg. Inviting you to touch it, to touch him, to envelope his cock in the warmth of your mouth or the softness of your walls while he fuckes you into tomorrow. “You want this, wife? Want my cock? Tell me, because you’re drooling right in front of me and I need you to speak up with your big girl words.”
“Yes, please.”
“Yes, please, what?”
“Yes, Daddy. I want your cock so bad.”
“Good,” he pulled out his cock from its confines. Despite being married for years, you are still be in awe at his sheer length and size—the thickness enough for it to hurt if you weren’t prepped enough, and long enough that the tip of his cock kisses your most intimate parts and makes love to you in ways the wind was knocked out of your lungs. “Get on your knees, then. Say sorry that you made me jealous. I bet that you were even doing it for purpose to get my attention, yeah?”
Denying his allegations, you scramble to your knees obediently. Humiliation washing over you as your husband snickers above you, using his hand to tap his cock and spread the pre-cum all over your face.
“Wanna write my name on this pretty face,” he muses out loud. A sadistic grin etched onto his face. “I’ll fuck your mouth so hard it will only remember how to scream my name.”
If there is one thing you love and hate at the same time about Naoya, it’s how he stops at nothing when he decides on a goal. So if he says he would fuck your mouth that hard, you need to prepare yourself for his virility.
Bracing yourself as you breathe through your nose and nails digging into his thigh, his cock pushed through your lips. A stain of red tattooed all over his base. Your eyes shut itself from the oncoming tears. His hands cradle the back of your skull as his knees bend, cock hitting the back of your throat and his groans resonating loud against the empty hall.
Naoya is so hell bent on proving his point that he keeps going even as you make gagging noises around him, your juices dripping onto the floor the more you witness the beauty of the man before you. How you are the one giving him so much pleasure his perfectly styled hair falls out of place. Lips curled into a sneer and his balls slapping harshly against your chin.
Never mind that you can barely breathe when your husband’s seconds away from reaching seventh heaven.
“Say you’re sorry. Say it.”
“Nghhr- suh-ree—”
“Ah, fuck!” Naoya pulls his cock out. Your hands immediately caress your neck, feeling it grow sore by the next minute that you fail to notice how your husband has grabbed you by the waist, pushing you down to a nearby table before pulling your ass close to his cock.
“Oh, yeah, just like that...”
Naoya slips inside easily thanks to your previous almost orgasm. He fucks hard into you that your arms damp with sweat keeps sliding across the table, uncaring that your nails left scratches across the surface. Naoya only cares about how you wiggle your ass to meet him thrust by thrust.
Whipping your head to stare at him with lidded eyes, Naoya’s movements grow hastier by the second, and how could he not? You look like a hot mess. Mouth hanging open and garbled moans falling from your lips because you couldn’t speak anymore from how good it felt, how thick his cock filled you up and your nipples achingly hard when your upper body drags along.
“F-Fuck, I’m going to make you pregnant again,” he claws against your hips, “Want you to give me another kid so bad. Your belly so swollen—you’ll be such a pretty mommy, hm? What do you think?”
“Yes, yes!”
“Can’t even speak right anymore?”
A harsh slap meets your booty.
Crying out, your tears form a small puddle on the table as Naoya chuckles breathlessly behind you. He sets a relentless pace until you turn limp before him, fucked out to a state where all you could focus on is the cock pounding in and out of you until a familiar coil tightens in your belly.
Reaching for the arms behind you, you whimper out his name—a sign you’re cumming and need his kisses. Albeit rolling his eyes like he hates it, your husband leans down and meets you for a sloppy open-mouthed kiss. It’s more tongue and teeth than lips actually moving against each other—Naoya groaning deep into his chest as he, too, grows dangerously close.
You can’t stop moaning about how good it feels. Asking him to go harder, faster, to cum inside you and make you a mommy.
Your promise of making him a daddy once again is all it took for Naoya to cum.
Teeth sinking into your shoulder to muffle his groans, your husband squeezed your ass. His thick, warm cum spilling inside you. Loads and spurts of it flow out even as he refuses to pull out. He stays there until his cock slowly softens—the kisses he spreads on your shoulder and hair just as tender before he replaces his cock with two fingers.
“Naoya, no more—”
“Just making sure it takes,” he reassures, massaging the sore flesh of your abused hips. Once satisfied, your husband runs a bath with you and takes your face into his hands, foreheads pressed against each other. “Was I too rough on you, love? I’ll give you a full body massage afterwards...”
“It’s okay. I enjoyed it, so you don’t have to worry about anything.”
“Hmm,” pecking your lips, Naoya releases a low chuckle. “I’m sorry I got jealous and took it out on you. I know you were loyal and would never do that. I was just... well, I love you so much. Hate it when someone else looks at you.”
You roll your eyes at him, but smile anyway. “Oh, please. You just wanted a reason to fuck me, didn’t you?”
“Yeah. Maybe I did,” eyes glinting with mischief, your husband turns off the shower running and runs his soapy hands all over your body. The tension in the room spiking once more as he brushes his nose against your neck. “Perhaps...one more round to make sure I really become a daddy again?”

OMG Zine, Please! #1: #AfterCollege
Check, Please! started with a boy named Eric Bittle, a vlog channel, pies that materialized out of nowhere, and a play like no college hockey team has ever seen before—falling to fetal right on the ice at the thought of contact.
And somehow, that all turned into a thriving community of artists, authors, fans ranging from chill to downright feral, hockey butt enthusiasts, and more amazing people than one can count on a baker's dozen of hands.
Check, Please! told the story of Eric Bittle from Day One on the men's hockey team at Samwell University through to a triumphant graduation.
And we here at Zine, Please! were dying to know...what happened after?!?! And a lot of y'all had ideas. So. Many. Ideas.
So, after months of dedicated work from our admin team and our contributors, Zine, Please: #AfterCollege is officially here!
All of us are so thankful for the support and excitement all of you have shown, and we hope that you all love this zine just as much as we do. A special thank you to our contributors, this zine would be nothing without your wonderful art and fics!
Now come see all the chaos that ensues #AFTERCOLLEGE!!!
