And Pain Threshold is emotional durability too.#Unused part of this joke is that I set their signature skill to Drama.#Both these games made my brain melt so now I get to combine them! You know what's gonna kill me when we get the inevitable Lu Guang flashbacks?

The fact he's always described as "mature" as his post-dive self implies he must be different now than before. It's hard to imagine exactly what his personality was like before, and if it's written well, he shouldn't be completely unrecognisable. But we know he's been changed.

Imagine a first timeline where Lu Guang just follows along with Cheng Xiaoshi, no attempts to reign him in whatsover. Cheng Xiaoshi having the opportunity to come up with more of his complicated tricks but channelling it into lower stakes stuff like pranks and Lu Guang actually enabling him in that and having fun with it. Imagine tragedy striking when Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi are both allowing themselves to be genuinely happy, no facades.

We know that Cheng Xiaoshi used to put on a brave face in light of his parents' disappearances and what that meant for how he was treated and what he was missing out on. But we also know that Qiao Ling and Lu Guang together have been able to lift that into something more genuine. Imagine a world where Cheng Xiaoshi was able to do the same for Lu Guang. Where they both mutually brought that light into the other's life.

It's still true to some extent in the current worldline, but it's complicated by Lu Guang's own actions. Lu Guang can never be fully honest with Cheng Xiaoshi without (in his mind) losing him forever. But he has to stick by his side in order to have any chance in his hopeless quest. And so, he must distance himself in other ways, protect Cheng Xiaoshi, enforce the rules. Swallow the guilt. It leads to a more lopsided relationship, one where one side is always hiding something from the other and refuses to open up themselves. A relationship that in the original timeline must have been more equal, as partners.

There's something that's been lost here, and it's not just the original Cheng Xiaoshi.

#I know it's definitely on the cards that lg didn't have a good childhood + that's why he latched so strongly onto cxs #but at the same time the comments about him being mature are such an obvious indicator that he's jumped already #that his og go around he was a lighter person. and that was lost with the original cheng xiaoshi.#link click #link click spoilers #shiguang daili ren spoilers #also. the current dynamic is lg trying to control all variables. giving instructions and cxs has to act them out.#when we know cxs can hatch plans himself and lg is observant enough to troubleshoot them + add details #lg only eased up on controlling everything late s1 + look where that led. its been a million years. percy has gone from young millenial to squarely gen z. i think that while he’s up on that mountain demanding the gods pay their fucking child support, he should tell hera at the top of his sixteen year old pipsqueak lungs that polyamory is a thing now and she doesn’t have to define her marriage the traditional way if she doesn’t want to. she’s the goddess of all marriages! that includes these modern ones too!!

hera is like zeus would you agree to an open relationship zeus is like SOLD i have been trying to do this for years, completely neglects to read the fine print that this goes two ways before signing on the dotted line for this deal with the prada wearing devil because fundamentally, zeus is an asshole

hera starts hooking up with committed married couples and having SUPREMELY powerful demigod children. they are all her favorites and she lavishes them with powers and gifts and attention. she has, unlike the other gods, no millenia of experience with mortal children to temper her reaction, and so this whole move honestly causes more problems than not.

meanwhile hades and persephone; poeseidon and amphirite; dionysus and ariadne; all of them have been trying to talk to hera about this thing for DECADES and then perseus fucking protagonist powers jackson comes in and turns a quarter of a century into wasted work.

thinking about different ways you can be nocturnal in relation to bats ya know, like you could go to sleep at dawn and wake up mid afternoon or go to be during the afternoon and wake up at dusk etc etc

so ive started classifying bats into morning bats or afternoon bats lmao:

Morning: Alfred, Jason, Steph (school), Cass, Bruce, Damian, Kate

Afternoon: Tim, Dick, Steph (during breaks), Babs, Harper

I think it's really fuckin cool how different people I've met can have extremely wildly different stances on what their physical presentation should be. Like I'm over here wanting to be tiny fruity creature and/or shapeshifting goo for the purposes of being tiny fruity creature. But someone else might want to be a giant dragon, or a cat made out of slime, or a digital being on the internet. We all deserve to live how we want in the body we want even if that body is as far from human as possible.

I hope that one day, when things have settled down (I'm sure that day will come), the world's resources should be directed more towards bioengineering and gene modification and the like.

oh sure! some arent drastically different from each other but i added lots of adjectives for peeps who have a specific look in mind for their character.

Slim - Basically, skinny.

Lanky - The same, but someone whose limbs are a bit too long for their body, especially if they're tall.

Lithe - Slim and elegant, kind of like a dancer.

Athletic - Just as it says; a fit body that's used to exercise and movement.

Burly - A larger body that's also athletics and strong.

Curvy - I associate it with an hourglass or pear figure. Can be any weight but I imagine someone whose bigger.

Stout - Usually associated with shorter people, being short and big.

Husky - Fat and strong, usually associated with masculine people.

Plump - Fat and round, I kinda picture apple or pear shapes for this.

Heavy - Also fat; could be with or without muscle. Generally just a big person.

the walrus / fairy question is being argued about as a universal 'is it more likely / more surprising for Man to witness this or that given x or y Nature' not quite taking into account that answers about level of surprise are going to vary wildly based on things like peoples own proximity to believing in fairies, where they live geologically and what the features around them are, and countless other personal factors. it should be read more as a casual talk about yourself question than a right wrong one, even though there is a correct answer, and its that walrus would be less shocking to everyone, by my mandate as king of earth.

I have an utterly horrifying theory regarding Aftermath:

I think Aftermath will be revealed as the Doomsday to the Transformers universe; basically an unstoppable super weapon that will force all of the Transformers to fight them at once or Earth will be destroyed.

Given we already have robot Galactus in the form of Unicron, and the Decepticons aren't really the super bad guys in Earthspark, my thoughts are that Aftermath is the big BIG bad of Earthspark season 2, possibly sent by the Quintessons or made by Mandroid to hunt down any dissenting Transformers, or possibly hunting for relics of the Prime and given we have like 2 on Earth that we know of, Aftermath is probably going to take a straight beeline to Pennsylvania, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

Wasn't "new terrans but Something Is Wrong" on the fucked up things in Earthspark poll?

I feel like, considering the themes of Earthspark and the kids, things would end well for Aftermath. They sure as hell wouldn't start well in this scenario but they'd end well.

aha, an unofficial hello from the writing director on team while our leading director is busy making sure we stay on track for the extended demo! 👋

i'm enthused that everyone seems to enjoy cameron so much. believe you me, i'd want nothing more than for them to be a love interest too. and maybe some day, they will be—but for now:

cameron's oddly superstitious. but only circumstantially. they wouldn't really think anything of walking under a ladder, but they'll commit to gravity-defying stunts to avoid stepping on a crack so they won't break their mother's back. they don't mess with demons. god forbid you bring an ouija board into their house.

i imagine they are a weirdly moisturized person. just got that honey and milk hand cream on lock in their glove compartment.

they're a creature of habit, though they try to not make this obvious. for people like deja and mc, it is still painfully obvious.

they're also the kind of person who uses perfume/cologne sample bottles at malls regularly before going on a date.

early on in their friendship with mc, they used to strike really odd and uncomfortable faces and poses because they weren't used to taking pictures. as they've grown closer, cameron leans more candidly into the photos, which have become less of a performance for them. it's more natural, i should say.
