Danny is from a world where everyone has wings, even if most have long since lost the ability to fly. Something about loading and aspect ratio, wings being too small, body too heavy, now mostly used as display, whatever.
It doesn’t matter even if he had blueprints from when he was like six of a jetpack to help fly. It won’t work anyway and hey, he has his ghost form! Which uh, might be perhaps, affecting his wings which were maybe sort of scorched black and practically down to the bone thanks to the accident.
It doesn’t matter, he swears. Though he’s admittedly relieved to see the new feathers growing in are different from Dan’s angry sunset. Even if they’re not even supposed to be able to grow back. Alright, this is fine, no one is going to notice! It’s not like everyone knows about the poor Fenton kid whose wings were absolutely destroyed thanks to an accident! It’s fine.
He’s not flying in a half-panic towards the Far Frozen while crying because his wings are coming back and he’s so scared. He didn’t panic and instantly fled the moment Jazz pointed them out while changing the bandages.
He definitely didn’t trip over something while wiping away said tears and blacking out from all the stress and all of his problems that he definitely mentioned to someone and isn’t keeping a secret. Definitely.
Hawkwoman and Hawkman would like everyone to know that neither of them were expecting a very small child to be spat out of the villain of that week’s machine that should definitely not be a portal. A very small child, maybe nine or ten, with a multitude of concerning wounds both old and fresh. Which isn’t even beginning to touch on the wings.
Feathered, like baby down despite the gnarled scars, unlike their own metallic, with the beginning of tiny specklings like stars amidst the darker fuzz peeking from the wounded flesh.
Who?! Who dared?! It’s (at least to the forever reincarnating duo) a literal baby! They still have down! Tiny baby fuzz! Was it the portal?! Oh this villain is going to taste their maces for causing this if that’s the case!
The rest of the Justice League would honestly like to know what just happened and are honestly unsure on if they should stop the two…

okay so first and foremost so this was the brain child of chels @emjaywatsons and i am simply here planting some of my own little seeds in this beautiful garden
so like their idea is that carter, very much mourning the death of dr. fate, kind of slinks back to st. roch university and decides to just put his energy into teaching and it's the first day of the fall semester and kendra comes walking in and carter is just looking at her like no no. no no n o no no that can't be right that is- there has been a mistake. there is a twist in the game. this cannot be allowed
(this actually is, in fact, allowed, and kind of happens to the hawks a lot in canon but especially with kendra. platinum card carrying old man fucker. we stan)
(another aside but aldis is only 36 and you have no idea how hard it is to get the other age gappies out of bed for a man under 40. i am putting in WORK, here. i am bringing everyone into the vision.)
chels also had the idea that he's passed the jsa youths off on dinah lance - this is a surprise clue that will help us later, BY THE WAY, anyway, chels has a kendra with all of her memories, i'm not sure i would adhere entirely to that but in my idea kendra like... knows that there's something.
she knows that a weird supernatural thing happened to her, and she knows that she's like super strong and has all these crazy dreams, and she knows when she looks at professor hall something in her brain is like yeah that's him! that's the one! in such a fucking bizarrely direct way. like she knows that he's definitely the person in her dreams, and she's like pretty sure he's for sure hawkman, and she sees him constantly looking at her and she'll like give him a very flirtatious wave back and he'll get VERY upset
also chels pointed out usually, carter is the one that chases shayera or kendra, and like- he should. make no mistake. but it would also be very fun and problematic and sexy if kendra is the one who keeps coming on to him because like. of course he loves her. she's like- she's hawkgirl. but she's also an adult teen baby, and he cannot do this. he simply cannot. if you see him doing this though mind your business
also chels had the fantastic idea that one of the titans is at st roch university rn getting their phd- they suggested donna which i think is fantastic because she will, i think, throw carter out a window really for any reason, and just the idea that he's so fucking bashful about this bc kendra is a BABY is so funny. donna is like hey. should i kill you for this? and carter is like i don't know probably

I'm really, really hoping that Kendra's (?) fantasy world is a step towards that actually /happening./ I imprinted hard on Shayera as a baby and I want good things for both of them. Starting with a permanent cosmic divorce from Carter
It is beyond depressing that Hawkwoman's ideal fantasy world doesn't involve Hawkman even remotely. He doesn't exist in her fantasies.
And jesus fucking christ that is SO DEPRESSING. Her soul is literally bound to his soul. She's cursed to always reincarnate after death and always find him and always fall in love with him, over and over over again.
And her greatest fantasy is to just be mortal. No more reincarnating, no more past lives, no more Hawkman. She wants to be her own person. She wants to be free from the curse and she wants a divorce.
Honestly good for her. I hope that she is able to break the curse and get a divorce. She should be able to live her own life and be her own person.

"I'm gonna spend today relaxing," I said. "Reading comics, hanging out, letting my creative batteries recharge. Not writing or drawing or anything."
That was a fib, apparently.
Rambling on Charley and the timeline under the cut
The timeline Charley presents in Hawkman (2002) seems to go like this:
Fel Andar is placed on Earth as a spy. He pretends to be Carter Hall Jr., taking up the mantle of Hawkman.
Fel marries Sharon Parker.
Charley is born.
Fel gives Charley up for adoption, then rewrites Sharon's brain to forget having a baby and make her believe she was Hawkwoman.
Sharon figures out what happened, outs Fel, dies.
Katar and Carter pop out of Limbo and kick Fel off the planet (good fucking riddance)
(this doesn't leave room for Katar and Shayera to be the Hawks but whatever)
Fel is jailed on Thanagar
And then we get to the part of the story that was at least half a lie.
Charley spends an indeterminate amount of time -- at least sixteen years -- growing up bouncing from foster home to orphanage, getting into fights, and gets involved with crime.
His mental health tanks, and he tries to commit suicide, jumping off a bridge.
Carter saves him, helps him get back on his feet.
Charley helps Carter and Shiera on an adventure, and is instrumental in saving Shiera's life while Carter deals with the threat.
Carter gives him the Golden Eagle armor* and trains him.
*This is a blatant lie, as Charley himself says later that Fel escaped prison on Thanagar to reach Earth twice -- once to give Charley the armor, and once to save Charley's life.
This timeline... Doesn't make sense. It doesn't leave room for Katar to be Hawkman, and it feels like the timeline folds back in on itself. Because like... What I remember from reading is this:
Carter and Shiera Hall serve as Hawkman and Hawkgirl --> Carter and Shiera get trapped in limbo? --> Fel Andar and Sharon Parker take over --> Sharon reveals Fel's treachery, dies --> Fel flees back to Thanagar --> Katar and Shayera take over --> the Hawkgod thing happens --> Carter pops out of Limbo.
Somewhere in all of this, Charley is born, Shiera dies, and her soul starts puppeting Kendra's body. I'm sure I'm missing parts somewhere, but Charley's story just doesn't make sense. It's like a jigsaw puzzle that's put together wrong.
I am enjoying detangling this, but I'm gonna need migrane meds lol

Clark Kent has his life made. He wakes up to the voices of his adored wife and the laughter of his 20 month-old baby. Crash and Burn: 8
He drives you out of the city, you have no idea where you’re going but oddly you don’t really care.
“How do you feel about animals?”
“I love them, why?”
“I like to come here when I’m feeling particularly stressed.” Clark tells you pulling off of the paved road and onto a dirt road. “It’s a rehabilitation center for animals.” He tells you as the car rounds a curve and a large building comes into view. “They do both wild and domestic animals here, I’ve been helping with some of the birds lately.”
“I don’t know how comfortable I’d be with birds but I’ll watch you handle them if that’s okay.”
“Of course, you can always change your mind too.” Clark parks the car and you both get out then head into the building.
“Clark, welcome back. You brought a friend.” A pretty redhead says with a smile, “Hi, I’m Shayera Hall, I run this place with my mate Carter.”
“Punkie. I have no idea what Clark is getting me into. He said something about birds.”
“Oh, yea, he’s been working with a Great Horned Owl to get it to fly further distances. We call the owl Henry.”
“That sounds really cool, what other animals do you work with here?”
“Lots of other birds, some reptiles, right now we have some horses and a baby deer. We just got to let a raccoon go.”
“So we can just not with the reptiles.” You tell her and both she and Clark laugh.
“Sounds good. Why don’t we start with Henry since it’s been a couple of weeks. He might be mad at you.” She teases Clark.
“I’ve been a bit busy these last few weeks.”
“I can see that.” She says glancing over at you, you stare back as if you have no idea what she’s implying then she turns and you and Clark follow her. He pulls an arm guard off of the wall and you watch as he straps it on the slides a glove over it.
“Why don’t you grab one too? Just in case you want to feed him or try letting him land on you?” Clark offers, after a heartbeat you nod and take down an arm guard. “Can I?” He asks gesturing to the guard.
“Yea, I feel like it’ll take you much less time than it will me.” You admit as he helps you get the arm guard on correctly. He passes you a glove and after you tug it on you follow him and Shayera into a room. There are several pens in the room, each has a different bird or birds inside, you see a Hawk with a cast on it’s foot and a black bird or crow with it’s wing held to it’s side by some sort of wrap.
“So, Henry is one of our resident birds which means he won’t be going back into the wild because we don’t think he’d survive. Once we get him flying the distances we want we’re going to be giving him to a zoo to use as one of their outreach animals.”
“How close is he to flying the distances you want him to?”
“About six feet short still.” She says, “He’s a stubborn asshole.”
“Probably why he and Clark get along.” You tease and when Shayera’s mouth drops open Clark laughs.
“Oh, I see why you like this one Clark.” She tells him before pulling a few dead mice out of a container and putting them in a bag. She passes Clark the cloth bag and he holds out a hand for you which you take then you follow him into the little cage.
As predicted Henry doesn’t seem to want much to do with Clark, you however, he is very interested in. Clark leads you to a door that goes to an outside pen, this one is much larger than anything that would fit inside. He props the door open then you follow him to the middle of the pen. Henry is still staring at you but he hasn’t moved from his perch.
“Come ‘ere Honey.” Clark rumbles before stepping behind you, “Hold your arm out like this.” He moves your arm, his chest pressed against your back, he takes a mouse out of the bag and holds it just behind your arm and wiggles it. “If you get scared just close your eyes, try not to jerk away.” He advises softly and you nod, Henry launches off of his perch and flies for you, it takes every ounce of self control that you have to not move, and to not close your eyes. You don’t want to miss a moment of this. The Great Horned Owl lands heavily on your arm and takes the mouse from Clark’s hand, once the mouse is gone he helps hold the weight of the bird.
“Holy shit that was incredible.” You breathe and Clark hums softly, the last time you had him this close you’d bolted, but now, God you could stay here all day.
“Wanna try without me? I’ll go over there to get him to fly over?”
“Uh, I guess.” You tell him and you could swear that he presses a soft kiss to the top of your head before he moves slowly away. Henry stares after him. Once he’s far enough away Clark pulls out another mouse and wiggles it in his outstretched arm. Henry launches off of your arm and lands on Clark’s, you nearly stumble with the amount of force it took the bird to take off from your arm.
“Okay Honey?”
“Yea, he’s a beautiful bird.”
“He is.” You spend nearly an hour working with Henry but when Shayera comes out to tell you that it’s time to feed the fawn you can’t help the small gasp that passes your lips.
“Go ahead Honey, I’ll meet you there in a minute.” Clark says with a wide smile so you follow Shayera out of the pen that you’ve been in and back inside.
“So, you and Clark courting?” She asks, and while it’s none of her business you give her a half shrug while you pull off the glove and guard.
“No.”
“Huh, he’s never brought anyone else here so I just kind of assumed. You know, and the whole Honey thing and how he acts around you.” It feels like she’s fishing,
“We’re not courting. I think I’d know.”
“Okay, geeze.” She grumbles but you can’t find it in yourself to give a shit if she’s annoyed with you. “Here’s the formula, just go in and have a seat, she should come right to you.” She tells you so you go and sit down in a clean spot with the large bottle of formula for the fawn. She slowly comes toward you sniffing the air and you hold out the bottle, the baby comes closer and greedily drinks from the bottle. You’re so focused on the fawn that you don’t notice Clark standing just outside the little pen until he makes a happy little noise. When you glance up you see his phone out and pointed at you.
“Sorry, you just look so pretty.” He says with a little smile.
“Well that’s not fair. I didn’t get a picture with you and Henry.”
“You want one?” Clark asks looking surprised and you nod, “When you’re done feeding the fawn we can take him out again really quick and get one.” He promises, watching as the tiny deer chugs from the bottle.
You do exactly that, once you’re done feeding the fawn you go back outside with Henry and Clark and you take a picture of him, he and the owl are both looking off into the distance, Henry in the foreground is blurry with Clark in the background clear and sharp.
He looks incredible.
“You should put this as your election photo when you have to run again.” You tell him before showing him the photo.
“Oh damn, that’s very cool.”
“Mari is a photographer, turns out I was listening when she was trying to teach Billy and I how to take better photos as a kid.” You tell him with a little shrug.
“Can I take you out to dinner?” He asks as you make your way back to the car.
“As nice as that sounds I should probably head home. I’m exhausted and will probably need Monday off.”
“Why?” He asks looking over at you as you slide into the car.
“Uh, my, my heat.” You say softly, he had to know that it’d be coming soon you haven’t had one since this whole shit started.
“Oh. Shit. Are you okay with Kara being there with you? Do you want me to find a mated Alpha or Beta instead?”
“I don’t know. I didn’t even think about it, I’ve never had a heat where I wasn’t in the Omega apartment building or living at home.”
“Oh, why don’t you stay at my place and I’ll stay with Kara? My security is better.”
“I don’t want to put you out of your home.”
“I’d be more comfortable if you were there to be completely honest with you Honey.” You glance over at him but he doesn’t look back,
“Fine.” You relent, it’s not that you don’t trust that Kara’s is safe it’s more you remember that giant bathtub in his master bathroom and are imagining taking a bath during your heat.
“Do you want to start tonight? How long is your heat?”
“3 to 4 days, so yea, that would probably be best.” You’re honestly shocked that you’re not more embarrassed by talking about your heat with him. Then again, he’s pretty much invaded the rest of your life so this extra detail isn’t like earth shattering.
Clark brings you to Kara’s where you pack a bag and let her know that her cousin is going to be staying with her for the weekend while you’re in your heat then you go back to his place. Clark packs his own bag before you follow him to the door.
“Do you remember the code?”
“Yes.” His dad’s birthday.
“If you need anything don’t hesitate to call. I’ll figure out a way to get it to you.”
“Okay, I’ll be fine Clark. This isn’t my first heat.” You tease him gently and he studies you for a second.
“I know, I just, you know.” You do know and for a split second you almost ask him to stay.

Do you have a bio for Mar’i or any other dc/comic book muses anywhere on your blog?
Unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to write up their bios/info as I used to play them in a discord server rpg and like the forgetful idiot that I am, I forgot to bring along their bios ( which i wrote out in a channel there) with me when I left the server some months ago. So if you want to know more about my Mar’i Grayson, Selina Kyle, Johnny Storm, Shayera Hol ( Hawkwoman ), Sharon Carter and Jane Foster, please do IM me. I’d love to chat with you if you wanna interact with them xx
However if you’re shy and you already know their canon lores, there isn’t much for me to tell, as I use their canon backgrounds ( depending on which verse) and add on just a few further details of my own into their present-day situation.
For Mar’i - she is almost completely canon, Johnny - he is canon from the 2000′s Sony films of the Fantastic Four and then I did a time jump to him currently already being a devoted uncle to Franklin Richards who is just a baby, Shayera - I’m currently playing her canon from the animated series of Justice League, from the time she arrived to Earth up till before the final episode of Season 2 ( which the Thanagarian army arrived )
Sharon is a mix of comic-canon and MCU-canon, while Jane is canon from MCU till her mention in Thor: Ragnorak. I created my own story path for her before, during and after the events of the last two Avengers films.
For Selina however, I am playing two versions of Selina- One is mostly comc-book-based, while the other is the Gotham tv series-based but the adult Selina we see at the series end. The Gotham one is my most developed one as I have put a lot of my own headcanons and fillers XD
Edit: I almost forgot!! I also occasionally play an adult! Valeria Von Doom ( yeah i changed some things about her comic- book ‘death’/regression into a baby XD) , with the fc of Yvonne Strahovski.

Now Bruce was not expecting to reincarnate upon his death. At least he thinks he died, he’s pretty sure he did. There wasn’t any other reason for him to be a well, literal baby. Around two he thinks, which fits well with the fact that it’s around that time that babies start forming memory recall, if he, well, remembered correctly.
But while he knew about reincarnation thanks to Shayera and Carter, he’d never exactly given it much thought towards himself. Because seriously, what were the chances of such a thing as him being given another chance?
So he was quite surprised at his situation, experimentally opening and closing pudgy hands that looked well, just a tiny bit off. He’d never been that pale before, he thinks, even back when he never went outside like, ever.
He turned his gaze towards the mobile above him with a sort of idle curiosity- a mixture of bats (ha) and other trinkets he wasn’t familiar with. It also caused him to get his first good look at his parent, asleep on a rocking chair right next to the crib.
Huh. They had the same pale skin he did, albeit in the light it looked like it was slightly tinted blue, and while their hair was white they didn’t exactly look old. They looked surprisingly well rested for raising a toddler too, unless they had a nanny or something similar… He rolled over, managing to very shakily push himself to his feet with the help of the crib.
Why was standing so hard as a toddler? And why did he have his memories of everything except how he had died anyway?
His head whipped up from where they were staring at his feet when he heard a snort, finding his parent awake and standing. Somehow silently enough that he hadn’t noticed- or he was that easily distracted by the unfamiliar giddiness bursting in his chest.
“Morning little bat,” his parent easily picked him up and held him while he inwardly sighed at the nickname. Of course his bat motif would follow him into this life. A low rumbling almost caused him to jump, his body relaxing before he could fully register the sound. The… purring?
Oh.
He wasn’t human this time around.
