Memories 2021 Discs 6 -7
So I asked again when I said I was going to watch memories in full if you would be interested in commentary from me as I did so. There were a lot of people who said yes, so here we are! I have officially watched BTS Memories of 2021. Here are my thoughts as I went. There were 7 DVDs in this one. Reminder that these aren't going to be smoothly written out thoughts. You get these like I'm live reacting, texting my bestie or live tweeting. Lol it'll be in like bullet point format sort of, just... a commentary post as I go. Lol Parts 1 -3 covers Discs 1 - 5 and the first half of Disc 6. You can read part 1 here, part 2 here and part 3 here. Part 4 here will cover the second half of Disc 6 and Disc 7. Disc 6
2021 Festa Family Photos Making Film:
This could honestly just be a post on its own 😭😍 with all the gorgeous photos!! Everyone starting off in their stunning white outfits from past shoots/performances too. Jikook both in black swan outfits too! Hopekook almost bonking foreheads and smiling so cutely at each other in their unit shoot with Yoongi 🥺 Everyone standing serious for their group photo, and then there is Tae secretly tapping consistently on Hobi's thigh and bring silly while he pretends to be serious with the rest of them. Lol and then dancing through their next shot too 😂 having a hard time sitting still! Jimin reigning Tae back in for the shot and JK smacking him for being silly 🤣 everyone doing solo shots in their brown suits and JK takes over a camera as per usual. Starting with a test shot of Hobi, turns out great! Tae shows up and JK takes a super close up angle and hopekook both exclaiming in surprise at how he can look good even from that angle. Turning to take a close up of Jimin too and giggling saying he looks like a rookie actor (again!) Everyone laughing so much thanks to Jungkook! Jimin fixing Sope's ties for them during the group shoot because they were a little crooked was so fucking cute and domestic honestly. Tae grabbing Hobis hand to hold during the shoot and trying to kiss his hand. So much love and laughter 😍
Jungkook spinning namjin super fast with him on the merry go round thingy and them NOT ENJOYING IT and JK just laughing at them 😅🤣 Yoonmin being the cutest and pretend fighting lol the editors "battle of the bts kitties" "we don't know who won but they are good friends!" 🤣🤣 Vhope being so cute and Hobi was also NOT A FAN of the merry go round. Lol I'm glad taekook got to have fun on it together after shooting since their photo partners were not into all the spinning they clearly wanted to do lmfao! Even when Tae tapped out, JK just kept staying to play! Vhope might be my favorite duo of the Festa photos! Lol the way they jumped to each other for photos and then Tae just snuggled into Hobi, who wrapped him up in a big hug like a koala and Tae then just lifting him up in response and Hobis surprised laugher. My heart is MELTING. 1st Gif above.
Rolling Stone Magazine Making Film:
The way the concept was carefree and you can tell they all enjoyed just getting to do whatever they want during their solo shoots for sure. Lol Jimin coming to check out Hobis 4 frame shots and going "ah Hobi is playing celebrity again" and Tae trying to photobomb Suga 🤣🤣 the staff going "must be nice to be that handsome" watching V do his photoshoot and Tae getting instantly shy 🥺🥺 so cute! For the group shots the director wanted it to look like a more causal green room conversation/setting. Lol all crammed on one couch? Well okay, that's probably fair for the Tannies. But JK hearing that then immediately putting an arm on Jimin and leaning back against Hobi was cute 🥺 my 3J. His comfort people. He readjusted but it was still cute. Director telling them to open their mouth like they are yawning and the Tannies all just start vocalizing like opera stars instead! Lol Jimin looking at the photos and saying Yoongi looks like a goldfish 🤣 non stop teasing from Jimin today! 😂 Hobi shattering the illusion of them all on top of each other on one couch immediately after going "this isn't what we are really like on green rooms." Hobi sir, we have some footage that begs to differ. Maybe not all the time but cmon 🤣🤣 Jimin pretending to hop onto the motorcycle at the next set and Jhope going "cmon Jimin, let's go!" And hopping on behind him like they are going to take off! 🥰 Reviewing their photos and making adjustments and JK telling Jimin he should lean in more while dropping ALL honorifics, as per usual 😂 these were actually super well done photoshoots AND well done interviews. Billboard Magazine Making Film:
The video starting out with Namjoon expressing immediately sympathy for JK in his heavy sweater about how hot he is going to be. Lol and when JK is outside he has Staff around him right away giving water bottles and holding fans. Poor baby, it must be really heavy! RM being the best leader and organizing where everyone needs to go and sit for the cover shoot so well! Really great examples of his encouraging type of leadership though. Everyone struggling with how bright the sun is shining in their eyes and Joon going "just 10 photos, okay?" Giving encouraging pats and counting everyone off for when they need to quickly open their eyes for the shot too.
Second outfits and set seemed more comfy. Lol jikook saying they loved their outfits and felt it fit them. Give them the outfits billboard!! Namjoon cutting his end mentions interview short after his shoot going "wow, so sexy! Rolled up sleeves" because he got distracted by how good Yoongi looked! Lmao I mean, I get it namjoon. I get it 😍😂 and then Yoongi getting all shy about it too and downplayed the compliment. Accept it Yoongi! JK and Hobi also praising Yoongi during their group photoshoot at the end. Saying he "looks like a boss." And Jimin saying Yoongi looked great in short sleeves during their ending mentions. Caught ALL THEIR EYES!
They did a 7 things you don't know about bts interview and Jimin being unsure because he picked something the members all already know about him and JK saying it's okay if the members know but others don't and reassuring him so sweetly. Their little fist bump after the interview started too! During the group shoot Yoongi going "ow wait, let me spread my legs a little" as everyone crowded into the same small couch and letting Jin lean back between his legs instead of on them. Whew. Great photoshoot honestly! Shitty ass article, dont give them any clicks, and they are so undeserving of BTS honestly. But pretty photos for sure.

The Making Film opens up by blessing me with minimoni praise! Jimin just being like this is my first time seeing actual models and it's crazy because Namjoon fits right in! He can go toe to toe with all these models. Wow! And when Staff tell Joon what Jimin said he was so shy and humble. Lol "that's just Jimins affection for me clouding his vision." 😭😭😭 Vhope smiling and waving to each other from across the set where they were each filming their seperate parts of the video and giving each other that encouragement! Followed by the same thing with cute glances and encouragement exchanged between taekook across their sets too! I love it. Jikook being silly and comparing heights in their new outfits and shoes, just for JK to step back, check Jimin out from top to bottom, a full body check out, and go "you look like a real model!" And Jimin just blushes. Cuteee. Namjoon saying he likes Yoongis outfit best, and he wants to wear it! Hobi being nervous going up the elevator but Tae easily distracting him by asking about his bag. 🥺 I love they chose their own outfits for this too. It's amazing and the fact that they chose their own outfits and Jimin picked to wear a skirt!! Love it!
Vogue Korea & GQ Korea | LV Making Film:
I love that they once again got to pick their own outfits for the shoot here too! Showcases their uniqueness so well! JK saying he thinks he has worn an outfit similar to Namjoons before. And Namjoon just looking at JK and saying everyone looks like they are going to a party, why do you look like you are going to the gym? 😭😂🤣 let him BREATHE Namjoon. Athletic clothes everywhere is an AESTHETIC! The never ending teasing. Lol "your outfit is so blue too." JKs defense of "jimins outfit is all redish!" It's not just you, Jungkook, it's not! 🤣 Jikook really are though two bright ass spots of color in everyone else's more monochrome color scheme in these group shots 😂 Jikooks play boxing and 95z dancing and silliness during the break. So much energy! Not Tae feeling up Jimins biceps and going "it'll rip" in reference to Jimins muscles busting out of his tight fit?! 😭🤣 please! JK giving a little interview after his first solo shoot and getting distracted and turned around/lost backstage/on set! Lol
Everyone gathering for a group photo and JK just plopping down on Hobis lap instead of getting his own chair. FAIR. Jin being a little nervous up high in the set and JK just linking their elbows and sticking by him so sweetly. He is the sweetest man! For the third of their looks, Hobi picked out to wear one of the same outfits that Tae once wore on his own time at the airport. Lol and he goes "yes. I've become Tae's clone" 🤣 cuteeee. For the 4th look/set, Tae is outside and keeps talking about how nice it would be to do a shoot outside with his dog, Tan 🥺 Gathered for the last group shot has everyone asking Hobi about his outfit and if he is wearing a bulletproof vest. Lol which he confirms by singing a line from We Are Bulletproof Pt. 1 and spends the rest of the time before the shoot starts in earnest with the other members punching his vest and asking if it hurts. 🤣🤣 and no one being able to leave the balloons alone on the set. They are so playful. These were again really great photos and interviews if you want to go check them out if you haven't read them yet!
Disc 7
My Universe MV Making Film:
Giving me a minimoni unit at the start of a making film makes me so happy! They are so cute together! The members fawning over Yoongis pink hair 😍 me too! JK can't go one making film without boxing someone and I love that for him. This time it's Tae shoulder/back that is his boxing opponent! Lmao at Jimin just standing there in between takes and JK just randomly comes by to touch and hold his chin for a minute. Why are they so cute?? They spend so much of this making film just quietly talking in the background too. It's adorable. Tae telling everyone to channel N.O. to give resistance vibes for the MV 😂 Not Jimin pulling his phone out to check it after a shot and JK coming to peer over his shoulder at it too! Lol the constant "who's texting *us*" vibes are spectacular. Vminhopes loud laughter during footage review when JK goes "Chris is taller than us, why are we looking down?" 😂😂🤣🤣 Jikook acting out a skit to make their hyungs laugh 🥺 and swinging Hobi around like crazy between them lmfaoo "maknae line and maknae lines boss" Editors know them well lmfao. Jikook getting in line for their filming snd jikook at the end of the line just play fighting and Jimin getting right up in JKs face like that 😳🤣 Just for JK to jostle him back and make funny poses himself. They really have so much fun together. The way they were all leaning shoulders against each other to "relax" and when they finally break apart you see the poor stylist noona on the floor under them Still just trying to fix and resituate their clothes 😅🤣 Vhopeminkook working out using each other as weights lol and then the maknae line making up choreo for MU while hyung watch endeared. Their energy is unbounded. Jhope being asked to freestyle right before the cameras rolled again for the ending scene and all the members praising him for how cool he is immediately after. Seeing them all have fun dancing at the end is my favorite part. They are so cute. Jikook teasing Tae for how he started dancing too was so funny. Ending mentions has Tae trying to wrap an arm around Jimin and almost knocking him over by accident instead. He was not prepared! Lol but JK looking over and checking on him with his eyes and Jimin making that eye contact as he caught his stumble was so cute. Just the quiet making sure he was all good 🥺 so domestic of them! Tae was so cute too making sure he didn't actually fall over 🤣 Jikookery Clips here.

The first 2 minutes were just BTS being so proud and excited about the honor bestowed upon them by their country and honestly, same. Im SO PROUD of them too. They deserve ALL THE RECOGNITION possible. And then some. They deserve it all. And seeing them prep for their 3RD VISIT to UNGA is amazing. Everyone arriving at the airport to go to NY is so tense but also so excited. Joon being nervous about memorizing his speech during the plane ride. Jikook arriving to the airport together and both so bouncy and giddy!
Namjoon forgetting her PTD Verse and asking JK for help. And Jungkook being SO PROUD TO HELP and claiming himself the BTS Lyric bot and that he knows most of all the lyrics and the rap verses too. Just main vocalist things! Jin making good minor suggestions to both cameramen and members as they film their PTD performance so that everyone stays the most safe while walking/dancing backwards. Always looking out for everyone. 🥺 Not the cute copy/paste move that ran through Namjikook as all 3 wanted to copy and try Taes jumping dance move! Lol cuties. Namkook being adorable with a happy to be in the sun again dance break as they move locations! The members all laughing over how the doors they have to exit from were so much heavier than they thought it would've been 🤣 The way they all cheer and clap for the backup dancers through their rehearsals at the final location they shoot at 🥺 the way all those dancers had nothing but wonderful things to say about their experience working with BTS too!

The members all politely listening and nodding along while going through the museum and Namjoon is just super into it. Adorable. JK misreading "hall" as "hell" and Jin being unable to stop his giggles over the mistake 😂 Namjoon giving a speech too! And JK being so proud of him when he gets back to their seats afterwards. Endearing! They were SO NERVOUS for their speeches. 😭 Practicing while getting ready, practicing while getting styled, practicing in the car ride over. Teasing each other a bit about their nerves. Oof. You did great loves! Jimin being so shy about apologizing for taking a breather during his speech and his members all lightheartedly teasing him about it. Lmfao the way he laughed and RAN from them all out of the building. 😭😂 Poor baby. Even though they were all teasing him they were all reassuring him too. With sweet notes of "no, you did really well though." And sharing their pride of him too. Namjoon saying he felt more comfortable this time giving these speeches because his members were there and joining in on it too this time. Their love for each other is admirable.
Meeting with Megan Thee Stallion & Coldplay:
Nah because BTS with Meg is one of the cutest things ever. Such a sweet friendship. I love seeing her sitting between the 95z as a 95 liner herself too! The way they all fawned over her and 4oe! Their selfies together. Talking about things they wish they could've done together for Butter promo! And the way they wanted to teach her the Butter choreo but didn't want her to hurt her ankles in her shoes so they did the hand choreo part! They were so cute all huddled up together in a little circle practicing and then filming their hands all together too. Lol Jikook with their hand tattoos in the middle too! Ugh, love it. Jimin thanking Megan for the alcohol in their gift bags by holding it up and doing her signature tongue move while shouting thank you 😂🤣 And JK picking up and carrying Jimins gift bag out for him. 🥰 They are so cute.

Their friendship with Chris and Coldplay is SPECTACULAR! One of my favorites. It's so cute seeing them all together and enjoying their time together. I love that Chris asked them to sing MU with him right there and then. Just to enjoy their song all together. It's so special. Their smiles were all so big. During they "heys!" Jikook were so cute laughing together and Jimin booty bumping up onto JK and JK unable to stop smiling over at him too! Lol their smiles and laughter all together through their whole visit! The way they were so excited to be gifted modern hanboks from the guys and Chris gifted Jin his guitar. The way Chris wanted to teach Jin how to play the guitar and Jin went along with it like he had never played a guitar before WAS ADORABLE. Lmao. Jin saying it was going to become a family heirloom 🥺 BTS being the fanboys for once was so cute. Especially because the energy and respect was absolutely matched. The hugs at the end too 🥺

Vmin right off the bat! During practice Tae talking about how when he wears a hat all his hair just sticks out the side of it at the length it was at. Jimin just watching him so endeared and "so cute." And then Jimin grabbing him by the neck as they spin in a circle for their "practice" of their duo dance for Butter. Lol cutiesss. Jimins hair is so long and beautiful during this time too! JK covering Jins face with his own hood and Jikook jokingly singing happy birthday to him since his Birthday is coming up soon. Practicing on stage and wanting things to be perfect for their first stage back with ARMYs there. 🥺 Jimin being goofy with the camera and pretending to shoot us and look through his hair. Lol and JK just standing right out of camera view where we barely see him for a moment just Watching Jimin be silly all endeared over it 🥺🥺 Practicing where they need to go for the MU performance too and Jimin just going "I should stick close to namjoon. Namjoon! We can't be seperated!" And looping his arm in Joons, while Joonie just goes "good good" and walks off with Jimin in tow 🥰 I'm so in love with minimoni!

Finally on their way to the show too! Red carpet time, seeing army time, performance time! We had vhope in one car, minimoni in the other and then our ultra introvert line yoonjinkook in the last car! Lol I love all these dynamics. JK being nervous during their speech and nailing it but his cute "we wanna focus on...." lmfao everyone laughing and JK in the dressing room for Butter only being able to fret about armys now making fun of him when he just wanted to look cool. Lmfao the non stop laughter he couldn't control! Cutie. And he wasn't wrong. "We wanna focus on" was all army could talk about and how cute JK was and how cute Jinkook are when Jin pulled him away 🤣🤣🤣 Jikook walking backstage together so excited after their performance and winning the grand prize! JK was PUMPED. LOL JK saying the whole world looks yellow now and Jimin just laughing and saying it's because of his yellow glasses and pulling them up onto his head for him to see without them 🤣 Everyone's smiles and energy and excitement at just being there with ARMY and performing with a crowd again! Im so unbelievably proud of them all the time!

This was filmed 211123, we know because they filmed it in the middle of traffic and hundreds of people saw them do it 😂 Am I a big James Cordan fan? No. Lol but I do love seeing the guys all having fun and smiling. The absolute CHAOS of rehearsals where BTS are RUNNING but don't know what they are supposed to be doing AT ALL 🤣🤣🤣 Jihope having their impromptu photoshoot for future photos for Jimins Instagram. ITS BEEN A YEAR AND WE STILL HAVENT GOTTEN THEM?! LOL Their laughter and smiles are so cute. They had so much fun together. JK mispronounced Chipotle as Chicolte and the company rolling with it is my favorite thing. Lol 3J all sharing parts of their meals together is so cute. Jimin walking up and JK just taking a big bite of Jimins food with no asking and with zero reaction. You just know he does it often. 🤣 Ending mentions after filming the talk show portion has everyone talking so nicely about how great it was to see fans again and about how they had fun.... and JK is just sitting in the back unable to stop feeling Namjoons hair lol. Up and down he brushed the short hairs at the back 😂 and Joon didn't even react. You just know he is used to the members clinginess and JKs random "must feel the texture" touches he does so often to all of them 😂 I love it.

I love seeing them have so much fun during rehearsals together, even as they practice seriously. And I also love when they prove over and over again that their mics are always on! Lol burgers for lunch after practice and before they perform. Everyone taking off their jackets while they eat, tell me WHY DID JIMIN TAKE OFF HIS WHOLE SHIRT?! Just leaving his little sweater on but button so low?! Lol Jimin what was the reason?! Jhope and his Polaroids! The way they all blinked like crazy when asked to blink to give spoilers on if they were working on an album or a tour in 2022 🤣 vmin laughing together over it all on the rep carpet interview too 🥰 Yoonmin walking to the second interview with Jimins arms around his shoulders 🥺 Jhope mentioning feeling tipsy after his few sips of champagne at the second interview 🤣 Jin being so cute with his reindeer headband and Tae looking so endeared!! Jikook kicking off their ending mentions by singing Jingle Bells together! Jin saying that working on his birthday was worth it because seeing army is the best present. 😭 They all wished Jin a happy birthday again! Jimin pulling him in for a hug and Tae pinching his butt 🤣 And ending the DVD with promises to look forward to their concerts in March in 2022 and Tae making everyone laugh and be endeared over his ending fairy comments 🥺🥺
An AMAZING experience, as watching memories always is. And this fully wraps up my posts over these DVDs. I love them all so much. We are so blessed to be fans of the most humble people in the world. I'm so proud of them all the time and wish them nothing but the best, safety and happiness through these next few years, knowing that we aren't going anywhere!!

I get if you don’t want to discuss the “new”(new for us lol) Tokyo jikook pics because they are shared without their consent, but if you want to…
I have to say they do make me think for a bit
The heart pic looks pretty romantic. They went together in vacation a took a pic holding hands with a heaet flower behind?!?
I used to be 100% there was nothing between them now I am 50% sure there might’ve been IN THE PAST

- Why are jikookers acting as if jikook were caught kissing or something? It’s a cute pic but it means nothing lol
- The heart arch thing is funny to me because if it was jihope or vmin or 2seok or jinmin, it would be a silly picture, but since people think jikook is romantically involved the picture is viewed differently. Like jihope, namjin, and vhope have all held hands and done a fake wedding march. Just because they want to see it a certain way doesn't mean it is that way.

Some months ago, someone asked me what I thought about it and I said there wasn't much for me to think because it was just a random photo that came up from nowhere, no source, no context at all. It's hard for me to have opinions about something so "random", something that has no context, no apparent reason for being.
I think context is still the keyword.
Everyone knows that I believed there was something going on between them, even if I never labeled it because it's not my place to. I think it probably meant something in the past. It would've meant the world to me if I'd seen this in 2018, 2019 (when I think it was most likely taken; between november 2018 and april 2019). But sadly, it doesn't mean anything right now in the context of 2023.
Same goes in regards to the last ask; I think you're partially right. Jihope, jinmin, hopekook, jinkook, even namkook could do that kind of photo and we'd all know that it doesn't mean romance, but again, there was a different context to jikook than there was to those other ships when that photo was taken.
To sum it up; whatever meaning I could give to the photo, it's all tied to the past jikook and not the current one.
I think it does mean something if you're still living in 2019, but obviously it's not 2019 anymore. It's not even 2021, if you know what I mean.

Why do you think Taejin is labelled as fanservice? Compared to big ships, Taejin is definitely not up there. Even among Jin ships, it's like the 4th most popular. So why are they getting labelled like that? Is it because people think they're only close on cam? Or is it because they're uncomfortable with the intensity and chemistry that they have, they want to write it off as fanservice? Shouldn't people be thinking why Jin is ready to do intimate skinship with Tae but not the other members?
I think that’s part of the reason, their chemistry is extremely overwhelming that it’s easier to brush it off as fanservice rather than think about why and how this type of chemistry exists between them in the first place. Also, from what I see, most people don’t know Taejin exists outside of their MAMA 2016 performance and their So What moments.
First and foremost, when one watches BTS in general, there’s few things that are more direct and obvious. For example, the maknae line ships, and then the hyung line ships. Taekook- being the two youngest members and are very playful with each other, Vmin- being the platonic soulmates, Jikook- loud whenever and wherever. Yoonjin- the hyung line soulmates, Sope- the wacky pair who balances each other out, and Namjin- the ‘married dads’ of BTS. These pairings are easy on the eyes and comfortable to watch. There’s plenty of ‘obvious’ moments available for hyping up and they’re not questionable.
Taejin on the hand, is far from obvious. If not for the Burn the Stage fight and their intense stage moments, nobody bothers or notices and Taejin gets minimal attention. And that’s exactly how they are. When they’re not loud on stage, they’re either awkward or just silently glued to each other. Since this type of behaviour isn’t very ‘natural’ in a tight knit group like BTS, I suppose people brush it off as ‘they’re the least closest’ or ‘they don’t really like each other’.
All these factors put together, Taejin’s bond is extremely questionable and doesn’t compute in people’s heads so suddenly seeing So What moments would be pretty shocking. Ships are mostly supposed to be fun, (lets be honest, they give people headaches so they’re not as ‘fun’) so the best conclusion is: fanservice.
Also, that’s a great question to ask. Why does nobody question Jin when he literally never does sexy stuff or even attempt to seduce any of the other members except Taehyung? I guess most people think it’s simply the adrenaline from the concert high. Many don’t realise that Jin actually denies intimacy with any other member on or off stage because they’re not the most popular or hyped up pair. For example, the number of fansites that exists for Jikook and Taekook, while Taejin only had 1 in the past 7 years, and maybe a max of 5 as far as I’m aware of right now. A lot of the Taejin fansite photos/fancams we get come from Taehyung or Jin individual fansites. With So What being so loud and in everyone’s faces, it’s literally impossible to ignore so people take it at surface value: fanservice. Seokjinnies who pay attention to Jin would be able to tell the difference in how he treats and adapts to each member differently. Others will see him as his goofy eldest hyung persona who mainly jokes around and does silly things. I think this is the main reason why Taejinnies tend to be Jin biased. Granted, there’s plenty of Jin-harem enthusiasts who prefer to focus on him getting all the love by all members without thinking too much. I personally prefer to focus on Taejin because of how exciting their dynamics are.
Whew your ask is so exciting because I haven’t thought about this for a very long time since I became a Taejinnie and answering this really refreshed my memory of the first time I myself wondered the same thing.

I would love to talk about my favorite fanfics! I would definitely NOT talk about my favorite fanfics anywhere else lmao but tumblr is my oversharing space anyway 🤷♀️. One thing you should know though is that I like angsty fanfics (with a happy ending). I read some dark stuff. So it might not be your cup of tea, and that's okay!
Now we have that out of the way, lets talk my all time favorite fanfic that I would die for:

Summary:
After dying at a much too young age, Kim Namjoon is a guardian angel. Now he is faced with the prospect of saving three young lives - Kim Taehyung, Min Yoongi and Jeon Jungkook - by taking on a human form and keeping them safe. But as time goes on, he grows fonder of each of them than he ever expected to, and the line between right and wrong starts blurring little by little as he watches their relationships change.

This story. Omg. This story will never stop amazing me. It's sooooo well written. The writer is so freaking good at expressing the emotions of the characters and really making you feel them. They aproach serious themes in such a respectful and real way and I really appreciate that. personally I love this fic because I relate to some (or a lot OOPS) of it and it made me understand myself a little better. I've never read anything that evoked that many emotions in me, honestly. Sometimes I go back to it just to read that one part where that one character expresses that one thing because I have a hard time finding words for what I myself am feeling. It just feels so real and good and sjsnjekkeek yeah. I love it a lot. It made me cry. But I love it a lot.
Dark stuff aside, it's also really amazing to see all the characters bound and come together and form friendships. I came here for the angst, but I definitely stayed for the healing and growing :'). I'm so freaking overprotective over these characters okay I would consider murder if anyone came close to them. Reading this for the first time involved a lot of throwing my phone away in ANGER because they were getting hurt or making a stupid decision AGAIN but it also involved a lot of smiling at my phone because omg look at them BOUNDING and TRYING and I AM SO PROUD OF THEM. Also namjoon in this story is the wisest man on the planet and I would 100% take life advice from him. Sometimes I'm going through a rough time and I'm literally thinking "what would Guardian! Namjoon say?". I'm not kidding. This fanfic did that. I am currently rereading it so I have a lot of feelings about it as you can tell.
This story is part of a series so if you like this one you are in for a treat because there are literally 3 more.

"And you just went with them? two strangers? them?” namjoon stresses, and jimin and taehyung look kind of uncertain, like they’re not sure whether they were just insulted.
Jungkook merely shrugs.
"You end up doing all kinds of shit,” he says, and yoongi perks up at the sound of his voice, “when you live out of your car.”

Idk if you can see the overarching theme of found family peaking through but omg I love found family stories so much. Yes please give me a group of friends finding a home in each other and helping each other.
This story isn't as dark as the other one by far! It's been a while since I read it but I mosly just remember a warm feeling in my heart. It's so sweet and nice. It's really a found family story to it's core. There is just a lot of love and warmth and silliness in this story. Also a lot of flustered yoongi. Which is always one of the best things ever.
Also, all of the stories by this writer are amazing!! Really if you just want to smile and Idk be attacked by the sudden need to fall in love with someone, reat fruitily's stories.
Sadly this story isn't finished but a lot of the other ones are!

When I first read the summary I wasn't really gonna read it because I never read fantasy but I was intrigued by the fact that it has over 5000 comments. This story has something I generally do not like, and that is the fact that yoongi is a giant asshole in the beginning. Seriously. The man is RUDE and MEAN and unnecessarily violent and cranky. I don't like it when people portray yoongi that way. I do genuinely love this story though and it was my all time favorite for a while! The story telling is amazing. The word building is amazing. I really fell in love with the univere as a whole and I became super invested in it. It just feels really alive. If the premise makes you go "uhhhh what?" I woud really advice you to just give it a a chance. Yoongi will redeem himself later in the story. If you are really sensitive to characters being assholes/getting forgiven maybe this one isn't for you. But otherwise: it's just really good. I would be capable of writing fanfiction about this fanfiction, I'm not kidding. Definitely a story that made me super excited and always curious about what was gonna happen next. I was completely obsessed with it for a while and literally made fan art for it :')
Those are really my favorites tbh. I also really liked blue sided baepsae's by nicowememoney and Scripturient27 but for some ungodly reason I never finished it? I feel like it would definitely be on this list if I had.
Summary:
The employees of Bangtan Time Travel agency—Namjoon, Yoongi and Jungkook—just want their billion won. And their clients, Jimin and Taehyung, want to see Big Bang. Simple, right? Except their time machine breaks and they end up in a crazy dystopian future with:
- a terrifying hoverboarder with a heart-shaped mouth and a shady hot stranger with really wide shoulders;
- a hoverboard tournament they HAVE to win (except none of them really know how to hoverboard); and
- emotions they can't seem to make sense of (read: love)
[Featuring star-crossed lovers Namjin, we-don’t-like-each-other Yoonseok, sickeningly in love Vmin and a very confused Jungkook who falls in love with a badass female bartender who looks a little too much like his work sunbae Yoongi.]
As I said I never finished this story so I can't really talk about the whole thing but from what I remember it's just really fun and different and interesting. Also they keep describing hoseok as this super cool leather jacket hoverboard guy and that is just a really nice thing to look at in your head.
And that's it! Just as a final note, fanfic is kinda personal? I like a specific kind of story and if you don't like that kind of story that's all okay! If anyone reads any of these feel free to come yell at me because I have been yelling about them in my head for 2 years. I would seriously be capable of writing a book about It Gets Worse Before It Gets Better. Which is low key what I'm doing here.

WARNINGS: Jungkook gets close to having a panic attack (I put this just because I don’t want to trigger anyone)

Jungkook couldn’t get to sleep.
He had his favorite blanket (giant, red and fluffy) wrapped around him, trying desperately to make up for the lack of arms holding him close. He preferred the warms chests to the chilly pillow he had under his head.
The young man sighed out for the nth time in the last forty-eight hours - ever since they left.
“Y-You’re going to come back, right?” Jungkook knew it was a dumb question, but he couldn’t help himself. His little side needed reassurance.
Namjoon and Jin, his caregivers (and boyfriends) had to leave for three-day conference in Los Angeles, and due to his work schedule, Jungkook wasn’t able to go with them. And there was no way he was going to leave the grandma (Jungkook called her Nana) that owned the bakery he worked at on such short notice.
So now, Jungkook was seeing his boyfriends off, all of them full of anxiety. This would be the longest they’d been away from each other since they became boyfriends, so they were all a little on edge.
“Of course we’re coming back,” Namjoon ruffled his hair fondly, eyes wrinkling in a bittersweet smile. “Don’t be silly, bun.”
Jungkook pouted, “I’m gonna miss you.”
Arms circled around his midsection from behind and kisses were pressed to the back of his head. “Gonna miss you too, baby. Love you so much.” Jin said into his hair.
Namjoon pressed forward so they were in a Jungkook sandwich. “Me too. Love you, baby.”
Jungkook couldn’t help the whine that bubbled up in his throat as he tightened his arms around Namjoon, doing his best to bury the sound further into his chest. “I’m gonna miss you guys the most.” he sniffled, trying desperately not to cry. “Just come back to me.”
Words of “promise” were whispered into his ear, kisses all along his face following the words.
As Jungkook waved and watched the back of Yoongi’s car disappearing down the road, he finally let his tears begin to fall.
Taehyung was at his side in seconds, long arms wrapping around him comfortingly. “Let’s go inside, Kookie. Do you wanna cuddle until Yoongi gets back?”
The younger sniffled pitifully and nodded, allowing his best friend to guide his slumped body back into the condo.
Since then, two days have passed (Fifty-six hours and ten minutes, not that he was counting) and Jungkook was having a ridiculously hard time coping without his hyungs. It was embarrassing how badly he was affected, how much he craved for the familiar warmth of their bodies holding him close.
Sure, Taehyung and Yoongi were staying with him to keep him company, and they both gave amazing cuddles whenever he needed, but they weren’t his boyfriends. They weren’t his caregivers.
It was only about eleven o’clock at night, but he was still surprised when someone knocked on his bedroom door.
“Hey, Kook,” Taehyung peeked his head in and gave the younger a kind of sheepish look. “Your hyungs are on the phone for you.” he waved around his phone, making it light up with the call screen.
Jungkook thought for a moment, Why didn’t Namjoon and Jin just call me themselves? Then, it clicked. It was some kind of bad news. Something they needed to tell Taehyung first.
With shaking hands, the younger took the phone and pressed it against his ear. He gulped, “H-Hello?”
“Hey, baby,” Jin’s soft voice sent a wave of relief over him instinctively, “How are you doing? Sorry, we haven’t gotten time to call you.”
“I’m alright, hyung. Just r-really missing you.” Jungkook tried so hard to hold back the emotions overwhelming him.
“Ah, bunny,” Namjoon’s velvety voice was muffled a bit by the phonecall, but it still sent a shiver down Jungkook’s spine. “We’ve been missing you so much, too.”
“I-Is there something wrong?” Jungkook asked, unable to stop himself. He couldn’t ignore the bad feeling in his gut.
“W-Well...” Jin hesitated.
For a moment, it sounded like someone covered the phone with their hand as the younger heard muffled whispers and ruffling noises. Then, Namjoon was speaking again, “Jungkookie, baby, there was a mix up with our return airplane tickets. We’re not getting out tomorrow, it will be two more days until we can get home.”
Two more days of this torture? Jungkook thought to himself wiltingly.
“We’ll be back on Monday morning, eight in the morning your time,” Jin said, sounding sorry.
“O-Okay,” Jungkook said quietly. Taehyung had his arms around him again (it was a common occurrence anyway, but especially during the last few days) and it did make the younger feel somewhat better.
“I’m so sorry, love,” Namjoon said, “I wish we could get back to you sooner, but there’s just nothing we can do.”
“No, I-I understand. I’m just sad.”
“Us too, baby,” Jin whispered, and the wavering of his voice was clear even over the phone. “Us too.”
That night was a mess of tears (on Jungkook’s part, but Taehyung and Yoongi both teared up at seeing their friend so upset) and limbs (Taehyung was an aggressive cuddler, but Jungkook wasn’t complaining).
The next two days passed in a slow blur where Jungkook didn’t really feel all there. He was in a haze, feeling more and more vulnerable as the hours went by.
It all built up and up until it finally spilled over Sunday morning, when Jungkook was working a shift at the bakery.
He’d managed through the baking part alright, but when it came time to decorate, things went wrong.
His mind kept wandering off to Namjoon’s dimples and Jin’s eye smile, how they hugged Jungkook so tightly he almost couldn’t breathe. Just the way he liked it. How his Appa and Daddy sometimes gave him kisses all over his face. Jungkook loved it when they did that - when they showered him in all their love at the same time.
Jungkook shook himself out his daze and looked down to see a sight that made his eyes widen.
He was supposed to cover the cupcakes evenly in a variety of light blue, pink and white icing, but instead, he’d used all the colors to create a messy but kind of cute flower pattern on the top. Then, at some point, he had apparently grabbed the sparkly silver sprinkles and dumped a hold load of them all over the cupcakes.
Jungkook took a step back in shock for a moment before he realized that in his daydreaming he had slipped into littlespace. He stumbled and fell to the floor as he looked around with wide eyes.
“Kook-ah,” Nana poked her head into the back of the bakery, worry in her eyes. “Are you alright, dear?”
All Jungkook could do was shake his head. He’d never slipped in public like this before. At least he and his boyfriends had made a plan just in case this very scenario ever happened.
“Take your time, Kookie,” Nana said, “Call someone to get you home if you need to, love. You look like you need some time off.”
“T-Thank you, Nana.” he managed out, trying his best to keep his Big Boy voice going.
As soon as Nana left the kitchen and returned to the bakery, Jungkook grabbed at his phone from his (thankfully nearby) jacket. His fingers shook as he tried to find the right number.
“TaeTae-hyungie? Kookie n-needs help!”

Yoongi cuddled with a crying Jungkook on his bed that night, while Taehyung was in the other room on the phone with Namjoon and Seokjin, who were at the Shanghai airport waiting for their layover flight.
“Yeah, he’s fine, hyungs,” Taehyung assured them for the millionth time, “He ate a little bit of mac and cheese earlier for me, so he’s still eating, and he’s been in and out of consciousness today. He keeps wearing himself out with his crying, but at least he’s getting some sleep.”
“Oh, my poor baby,” Jin sounded heartbroken. Taehyung could picture him covering his mouth with his hand in anguish.
“Taehyung, do you think we could talk to him?” Namjoon asked.
Taehyung made an unsure noise and bit his lip between his teeth, “I don’t know, hyung, I think hearing your voices might make things worse right now. Might set him off.”
Jin sighed, “Yeah, I guess you’re right. Well, just tell our baby that we love him a lot, okay?”
“I will, hyung. I promise,” Taehyung replied, “Have a safe flight.”
It took another hour of crying before Jungkook finally couldn’t cry anymore once again. He was passed out cold on the bed and Yoongi slipped away to talk to Taehyung quickly.
“It’s so hard to see him like that,” Taehyung mumbled into his boyfriend’s shoulder. They had been avoiding any PDA with Jungkook around, not wanting to remind him that his own boyfriends were away.
“It is,” Yoongi agreed, pressing a kiss to the side of the younger’s head. “It reminds me of when that first Christmas that we got together. You went home and I went on vacation to Japan with my family.”
Taehyung hummed, “The first time we were away from each other for more than a day or two.”
“Those two weeks sucked,” Yoongi grumbled, “But we definitely weren’t as close then as Jungkook, Namjoon and Jin are now. So I can’t imagine how bad it is for all of them.”
“They’ll be here soon. Jungkook’s going to be fine.”
Or maybe, not so fine.
Three hours later, the little startled awake, shaking and teary eyes wide as he looked around frantically. “Where D-Daddy? And A-Appa?” he asked, voice wavering already.
“They’ll be here soon, bunny,” Taehyung replied, trying to shush the younger back to sleep before there was another round of crying. It appeared to do the opposite, as in his haste to calm the little, Taehyung let that special name slip.
“No! O-Only Daddy and Appa can call K-Kookie that!” Jungkook said, voice not quite at a shout but getting there. He looked more hurt than angry about it.
“Jungkookie, sweetheart, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to-”
Jungkook could feel the familiar feelings of a panic attack coming on. His heart was beginning to beat faster, his palms rapidly becoming damp.
Where were his Daddies? Why weren’t they here? Did they not love Kookie anymore?
A whine made its way out of Jungkook’s throat and he lifted his sweaty hands to clutch at the front of Taehyung’s shirt. “H-Hyungieeee, please. Need Daddies.” he whimpered.
Taehyung was doing his best to keep the younger calm as more time passed and eventually Yoongi slipped out of the condo to go pick up Namjoon and Jin. They both knew that Jungkook wasn’t in any shape to go to the airport and meet them there.
It felt like forever before the front door to open again, but it finally did just as Taehyung’s throat was getting sore from singing lullabies to Jungkook.
As soon as Taehyung heard the definite voice of Namjoon from the entryway, he turned to Jungkook. “Kookie, sweetie, your Daddies are back!”
The younger shot up from where they had been cuddling and began scrambling off the bed and out of the room while Taehyung tried to keep him from tripping over everything. He sniffled and ran like his life depended on it.
The moment that Jungkook skidded into the hallway and spotted Namjoon and Jin in the entryway, he cried out, “D-Daddy! Appa!”
Namjoon caught his baby with a grunt as he threw himself into his arms, Jin already there to rub the younger’s back. “Hi, bun. We missed you.” Namjoon said.
“We did.” Jin echoed.
“Kookie missed Daddies s-so much. So much, he don’t even know how much!”
Everyone in the condo resisted the urge to coo.
“Oh, my poor little baby, huh?” Jin took Jungkook swiftly into his own arms, allowing Namjoon to finish taking off his jacket and hanging it up. The oldest nuzzled at the side of the little’s face, pressing soft, reassuring kisses there.
Jungkook smacked a big kiss on Jin’s cheek before twisting around a bit to do the same to Namjoon. Taehyung and Yoongi watched on in the background fondly.
“K-Kookie almost thought Daddies didn’t love him anymore,” the little admitted sheepishly, “He had sad thoughts.”
“Well, you don’t ever need to worry about that, baby boy,” Namjoon’s voice rumbled against his back, “Your Daddy and I love you so much. It’s not possible for us to ever not love you, bunny.”
“You’ll always be our bunny, Kookie. Remember that, alright?” Jin added softly.
Jungkook nodded into Jin’s chest. “Kookie will. He got scared. Sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry, love,” Namjoon bopped his nose with a finger, causing it to scrunch cutely. “It’s okay to be scared sometimes.”
After Jungkook gave two big hugs to Yoongi and Taehyung and saw them off with his Daddies, the three reunited boyfriends cuddled up on the couch, squishing the little between the two taller ones, just as he liked it.
They started playing The Little Mermaid on the television, and Jin even made them all some hot chocolate (he may have only done it just to be able to see his baby’s eyes light up with excitement again).
Jungkook knew that even though his anxiety sometimes got the best of him, his Daddies would never fall out of love with him. They were too close and they just loved him too much, just as they had said before.
Though countless panic attacks were inevitable in the future, Jungkook knew that everything would be okay, because he had his Daddies with him, right by his side.
Jungkook smiled almost dopily and snuggled deeper into his boyfriends’ embrace. They responded easily by tightening their grip on him.
Above him, Namjoon grinned at the younger’s cuteness before he leaned over to kiss Jin quickly on the lips. Then, the two of them attacked Jungkook’s face and neck with loving kisses, causing the little to burst out in adorable giggles.

Warnings: drinking, blood and violence, swearing, probably minor historical inaccuracies
I got way off track writing this as I got so distracted just relearning about all the history. So sorry about the mini history lesson. I got a little over excited. I did force myself to not use much of the lingo though, as I doubt many people would understand that. Also thank you Airplane Pt 2 for gifting me with the perfect gif.

America in the 1920s
The Roaring Twenties
The First World War was over, bringing with it much social and politcal change
Women had the vote, jazz music was all the rage, automobiles were starting to fill the streets of more than just cities, mass media was on the rise
Celebrities started being born in Hollywood and on Broadway; names such as Coco Chanel, Josephine Baker, Charlie Chaplin and Babe Ruth were household names
But it was also known as the ‘Prohibition era’ thanks to the Volstead Act that was passed in October 1919 stating that all beverages over 0.5% were illegal; a way the government tried to lower crime rates
Not that it worked out that way of course, as with the prohibition came the rise of speakeasies, underground establishments used to sell alcohol
It was in one of these speakeasies that you worked
Your uncle had owned a bar the decade previous, which went out of business when the act was passed
That didn’t stop him from running his business on the sly though, and he became just one of many owners of speakeasies in Los Angeles
With the cities population more than doubling in size thanks to people immigrating for jobs from the midwest and Mexico, there was plenty of business and clientele
Pretty soon his bar became one of the most popular ones in the suburb, drawing a massive crowd every night
People from all walks of life were attracted to the place; from flappers to actors to mothers to farmers, the basement under the hardware shop saw many faces over the years
Which is how you came to work there
You uncle had been in need of some help due to the growing size of the place, and you had offered yourself up
You had just broken free from the reigns of your parents, moving out of the family home to a tiny apartment shared with three other people and your day job working in a small office filing papers wasn’t paying much
And so as soon as the sun set and the moon rose, you turned from a prim, clean cut office worker to a fashion foward, carefree wait staff
And you loved it
In the room that always stank of smoke, sweat and alcohol, the outside world disappeared
People of all classes and colour mingled, men and women were free to be themselves, showing as much or as little skin as they wanted and dance the night away with all the drinks they could want at their fingertips
Of course, you were well aware of the darkness under the layers of fun and happiness
There was always the fear of the police or agents of the bureau of prohibition knocking at the door to raid the place; and it wasn’t exactly a crime free business, with many gangs and such being involved in the whole culture around speakeasies
But you decided to not worry about it all until that moment was upon you
And the fact that Namjoon worked alongside you made you feel much safer
Kim Namjoon; a bouncer at the bar who was either guarding the door and taking passwords or found standing in one of the corners of the room
He was tall, strong, and absolutely gorgeous
But despite his intimidating appearance, he was a complete softy really
He was kind, thoughtful and intelligent
You knew this from the amount of times he would stand behind the bar with you to make sure nobody tried anything dirty to get more drinks
The two of you would always make small talk, talking about the usual things such as the weather, family and the like
But these conversations quickly turned deeper as you got closer, and you eagerly listened with open ears and an open mind as Namjoon talked to you about everything from politics and music to his childhood and the meaning of life
He had such an advanced mind and perception of the world, especially compared to that of your own parents who still acted like they were living in the 19th century
You loved complimenting him on this, often comparing him to that of Einstein (which often started him off on rants about how he wished he could have attended one of the many lectures the scientist did on his visit to the US)
The two of you had many discussions on various topics that often made the patrons you were serving drinks to raise their eyebrows or tilt their heads in confusion
One person who didn’t act like this when they overheard your conversations was a man by the name of Seokjin
Kim Seokjin: called Jin by everyone, one of two of the singers in the speakeasy, found nursing a drink at the bar or conversing with patrons when not singing his heart out on the small stage
Seokjin was strikingly handsome and had the voice of an angel
Always dressed better than even some of the higher class celebrities that could be found roaming the establishment, he caught the attention of all the guys and gals who visited the speakeasy, and was the object of many a daydream
He was always receiving offers from pretty flappers with perfectly curled short hair and guys with freshly pressed pinstriped suits and oiled hair to join them during his breaks from singing
But much to everyones surprise, despite being so confident and forward, he never once accepted any of those offers
That was because when it was the other singer, Taehyung’s turn to take the stage, Seokjin loved to sit at the very bar you manned, nursing a drink and staring at you all starry eyed as you chatted with customers or wiped down glasses
And he enjoyed it even more when Namjoon joined you behind the bar, as to him it was twice as much eye candy
Because goodness did he find the two of you attractive
He loved seeing Namjoon acting all tough to the patrons, not so subtly rolling ups his sleeves to show of his (very nice) arms when someone started up some trouble, his stern face that could put fear into the hearts of the toughest man or woman, his deep voice that only got deeper when threatening someone
He loved the concentration you had on your face when you were pouring a drink, whether it being the cheap moonshine or the expensive illegally imported liquor, how you became sarcastic when some dude tried to swindle you, how good you looked when wiping sweat from you forward with your shirt
But he absolutely loved it when Jungkook took over at the door and Namjoon joined you behind the bar, as it meant he got to see the other sides of both of you
Because when you and Namjoon were together is when the both of you smiled the widest, and Seokjin had absolutely fallen in love with those smiles
His favourite thing was to just ignore all the smoking and drinking and dancing happening around him and just sit close by and listen into the conversations you would share
It was quite obvious to anyone that payed attention that he had a massive thing for you and Namjoon
He often talked about the both of you to Taehyung the same way most people his age talked about the likes of Louise Brooks or F. Scott Fitzgerald - to which the younger boy would try and convince him to just speak to you
Because yes, he had yet to say a word to either of you
Usually he was known for being outgoing, always talking to anyone and everyone and charming them easily
But for some reason he just couldn’t work up the nerve to even say a hello to either of you
So he just settled with admiring from afar
What he didn’t know is that you and Namjoon were just as aware of him as he was you
Despite the bustling nightlife, playing security could sometimes get a little boring when people decided to behave themselves for once
And during these (admittedly few) moments, his attention was often drawn to the silky voice coming from the man in the silky shirt with a stage presence to match those of the most famous actors and singers, singing along perfectly to the tunes the pianist Yoongi was playing
And there was one time where you almost dropped a glass when you were too busy paying attention to the man and a customer tried to get your attention startling you
Because how could you not get distracted by looking at him?
And that only happened more once you got a glimpse at the man behind the voice
Because you became especially interested in him when you saw him acting completely goofy with Taehyung when the younger boy was obviously not feeling too good, completely shameless with his silly dancing despite all the eyes on him, making you really want to get to know him even even more than you did when you admittedly thought of him as simply a pretty face
Sentiments which were shared by Namjoon which you knew considering the two of you would often talk about him and the new suit he was wearing, or the highnote he hit, or how cute he looked when you caught him sneakily eating some chocolate on his break
But nothing ever really came of it except mutual attraction from a distance thanks to how busy you all were during the open hours of the bar
Well, nothing between Seokjin and you or Seokjin and Namjoon anyway
Because over time and conversations a plenty, the strong attraction you feel towards Seokjin start also appearing towards Namjoon
Not that you ever tried denying how attractive he was or anything - you just thought that it was simply a platonic friendship
But no, now you were fawning over two people
And Namjoon being the smarty pants he is, quickly notices this and all of a sudden the deep conversations and gossip you shared now included flirting amidst it all
Neither of you ever really asked to court the other as such, nor were you particularly exclusive or anything - you didn’t call the other your sweetheart or anything
But anyone with eyes could tell there was something going on
And what do you know, Seokjin has eyes, and he wanted in on this sweet talking that was happening
Not that he could gather up the courage to actually act on that though
Instead poor Yoongi had to listen as the older boy draped himself dramatically over the top of the piano and whine about how love had forsaken him
Eventually, Yoongi had had enough, and while he usually wouldn’t talk back to his elder as Jin would be quick to put him in his place, he just couldn’t take anymore and on one of their breaks he personally dragged Seokjin over to the bar and pushed him down on an empty stool, chucked down a couple dollars from his own wallet and left him alone, simply leaving with a smirk and “good luck”
Despite the many customers you were serving, as soon as you saw Seokjin sitting at your bar you quickly rushed through, trying to serve as many people as quickly as possible to get to the man
“The usual Bee’s Knees for you?” you ask, coming to a halt in front of Jin, leaning on the counter to wait for his reply
“Well, I am the bee’s knees so of course,” he says, half joking and lowkey half serious
“Well, it does suit you. Gin and honey with a lemon twist. It’s you as a drink,” you say, winking at him as you quickly getting to work making the cocktail
Jin had to stop himself from bursting out laughing at the subtle pun, instead settling for smiling widely, both at the joke and the fact he was actually interacting with you
You on the other hand were in very much the same state
Usually you wouldn’t have a chance to even say hello to the singer as he never even had to think about buying his own drinks with there being plenty of admirers willing to do so for him
But now there he was, right in front of you actually talking to you and you knew you should make the most of it before he was off performing again
And that you did
After pouring his drink and handing it over, another bartender came over and finally started tending to patrons allowing you the chance to stay and chat with Jin for a few, just making some small talk and getting to know the guy a bit more
During that time, Namjoon’s break also starts and like clockwork he wonders over to join you behind the bar, squeezing past various people before finally making it
Walking up behind you he grazes a hand across your back, allowing it to settle on your hip as he comes to a stop beside you
And it is then that he finally notices the person you had been in conversation with
Seeing Seokjin, Namjoon’s face lights up with a bright smile, showcasing his dimples for all to see
A smile which immediately turns Seokjin to goo as he takes notice of the new presence
You are quick to include Namjoon in your conversation, which did intimidate Seokjin a little
As not only did he have to interact with one person he carried a torch for; but both of them
Though he quickly discovered that there was nothing to be intimidated about, and as the night went on, he was quick to join either you or Namjoon whenever he wasn’t performing
And so your little duo of you and Namjoon became a trio, with the three of you becoming very good ‘friends’
Because the weird not quite platonic not quite romantic relationship you had going on between you and Namjoon quickly included Seokjin
From then on it wasn’t uncommon to find Namjoon’s arm over your shoulder as the two of you rested on the bar while Seokjin nursed a drink on the other side, leaning in close, the three of you in your own little bubble
The three of you were constantly flirting whenever you had the chance, with you and Namjoon discovering that Seokjin both loved to recieve and dish it out
But once again, nothing ever actually crossed the line, only ever toeing it
This was mainly because you all ever only saw each other at night during your shifts at the speakeasy
You were only a part of each others night life; not once had you seen either of them when the sun was up and you were a mere law abiding citizen
And during the nights your were all so busy; not only were you all helping provide a business, but a dangerous business
At any moment you could be raided, or a gang or the mob could decide to come in and try to take over
And so instead of trying to make something of it, you all simply decided to be content with the relationship you had going instead of complicating life further
So life went on, with you serving illegal alcohol, Namjoon protecting illegal alcohol and Jin consuming illegal alcohol
It all changed when it stopped being just a night time thing though
Your uncle was the one who dealt with the suppliers usually; talking money and all that
And he had his go to person who picked up the shipments from wherever, whenever
But one day, he had turned up on your doorstep in the middle of a Saturday -your day off- asking for a huge favour
He wanted you to join Namjoon in picking up a shipment of moonshine, something you had never done before and you knew Namjoon had never done before
Upon questioning why you two, your uncle had explained that he would would be leaving to go out of town on urgent business as soon as he left your place, and that the person he usually relied on to make pick ups was currently...incapacitated
And that you and Namjoon were his next most trusted employees capable of the job
Not wanting to let down family, off you went to meet Namjoon
It was weird seeing Namjoon in broad daylight and not the dim, smoky basement that was the speakeasy
And apparently it was just as weird for him, as as you walked up to the location your uncle had set up for the two of you to meet, he just kept staring at you with a small smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye
“Your hair looks so different in the sun. And your eyes. They’re so much prettier,” he says with seemingly no shame, forgoing a greeting completely
You find it hard not to blush, especially when you were thinking the exact same thing, but you manage to keep your composure and give a “right back at ya” to him, causing him to chuckle and smile sheepishly
With that you are hopping into the passengers side of a car (that you find out had been borrowed from the original pick up guy)
It is the first time you had driven in a car in a while, usually taking a bus or your bike to various places, and so you make the most of it, leaning on the door and allowing the breeze to ruffle your hair
And though Namjoon had to keep an eye on the streets for stray carts and people, he couldn’t help but take a glance at you every now and then, smiling at the serene look upon your face
But all too soon, you had arrived at your destination
Instead of the abandoned warehouse in the middle of a rundown district of the city like you had expected; the location you had arrived at was in one of the wealthier parts of the city - all nice buildings and nice cars and nicely dressed people
Though, you weren’t exactly in the middle of a normal neighbourhood street thank the stars, as you weren’t exactly dressed the part and didn’t feel like being glared at by snobby rich blokes and their trophy wives
You did turn down a small alleyway though, much more like what you were expecting
It did make sense for them to distil alcohol in the richer places though, as the people doing so probably had more money to protect themselves and bribe various people to keep it all hush
You and Namjoon both stepped out of the car only to be greeted by a pudgier man in his 50s in an expensive looking suit, with two broad men standing behind him (guards - you proposed)
Once more, you expected the worst only to be pleasantly surprised again
“Well well, if it isn’t little y/n! You’re uncle told me all about you! Well, aren’t ya just waterproof!” he basically bellows, pulling you in for a hug with a genuine smile large upon his face which you can’t help but return
“And this fella must be the Namjoon I was told would be coming. Well, I bet you’re a big timer aren’t ya! Come on in, let’s not beat one’s gums!” he continues, and with that you follow the man and his entourage into the building
Business doesn’t take long, and after some talking with Old Billy as the man tells you to call him, the two broad men are helping load some crates into the back of the car, joking around with the seemingly intimidating men
However, letting your guard down was a very bad idea it seems, as out of nowhere a group of seven or so men suddenly stream into the alley
You have barely any time to react to the new presences as one of the helpers is pushing you down into cover just as a gunshot rings off
One of many, as the new men all get out guns and open fire on you all
The men that helped you are quick to fire back, telling you and Namjoon to leave as help from inside comes in the form of allies
You are tucked down by the car with your hands covering your head and your eyes screwed shut when suddenly a hand grabs your forearm
Letting out a startled yelp, you open your eyes and go to shake the person off until you see that it is simply Namjoon
He doesn’t say anything, just quickly pushes you into the open car door and tells you to duck down as he follows, starting up the engine and driving as fast as he can out of the alley and into the street
Very quickly you leave behind the sounds of gunshots, and instead all you hear is the usual busy city outside the car and the heavy breathing of you and Namjoon
You hands are shaking and you aren’t sure whether it is from the adrenaline or from being scared out of your wits
After all, that was the first time you had ever been shot at
While you ha known that it could happen due to the life you live, never once did you actually expect it to happen, especially not in broad daylight
Calming yourself down, you turn to face Namjoon to say something, but all words leave your head when you see him with one hand on the wheel, the other grasping his side with a look of pain on his face
“Namjoon....?” is all you say, too shocked at the sight of blood starting to stain his shirt
“Don’t worry. It’s a graze. Nothing serious,” he says, but you can that although he tries to hide it, he is in pain and losing quite a bit of blood from what you can make out
“It is serious! You got shot! You’re bleeding, badly. We need to go to a hospital or something!”
“No, no hospitals. They’ll ask how it happened and questions are bad for us.”
“Well we can’t do nothing! You’re bleeding out! I-” you say, trying to think of ideas
You can tell that Namjoon is having a hard time controlling both the car and the bleeding, but you can’t exactly reach his wound from your position, nor can you drive
The only option is to stop, but even if you did you had no supplies to help him
That’s when one of the street signs catches your eye, bringing up a memory from a few nights prior
“Hey, didn’t Jin say he lived here? This is his street, isn’t it?”
And true to your word, it is
In a conversation a few nights before, Seokjin had told you about his place of residence; his nice flat he lived in alone on one of the nicer streets in the neighbourhood
In fact, you could even point out the building he lived in thanks to the man’s detailed description
It was like a godsend that you had noticed it, because as soon as you force Namjoon to park and get out, he stumbles out of the drivers side and almost falls to the ground, just managing to catch himself in time
You are quick to run to his aid, using your outerwear to place pressure on the wound before supporting Namjoon as much as you can, helping him into the building and up the stairs
“If I remember rightly.....” you say with your fingers crossed, knocking on the door you hope is Seokjins
And thankfully, you had no reason to doubt yourself, as mere seconds pass before the door is opening to reveal a welcome sight
You have no time to explain to Seokjin as the man catches sight of the bloodstained side of Namjoon, and he is gasping, covering his mouth in shock before stepping the other side of him, helping him into his apartment
“Quick, on the sofa,” he says and you follow his instructions, keeping your coat pressed to Namjoon’s side while Seokjin flits around his flat in worry, gathering materials here and there
He is back by your side before you know it though and you are helping him to take of Namjoon’s shirt for ease of access to the wound, murmuring comforting words as Namjoon groans in pain
If it was any other day, you would have taken the time to admire the smooth lines and curves of his body, but all your attention was diverted to the area covered in red
Seokjin carefully presses a wet cloth to the area, wiping away as much blood as possible to get a clear view of the wound, and both he and you sigh in relief as you see that Namjoon was right, it was just a graze and nothing life threatening at that moment
You and Seokjin work in harmony, cleaning the wound, disinfecting a needle and thread with vodka, steeling each others nerves to actually go through with stitching the wound, and comforting Namjoon when you see he is in discomfort
Thankfully it is all over before you know it, and Seokjin has Namjoon leant against his chest while he wraps a bandage round the younger mans torso as you go about cleaning up all the bloodstained linen and water
After tidying, you join the two men on the couch, only to be brought into the scolding Jin is giving, warning about recklessness and getting into danger
You laugh at the situation, glad that the worst is over and done with
Briefly, you hope that Old Billy and his men are alright, but it is pushed to the back of your mind as you hear Namjoon groan once again
Straight away both you and Seokjin are fussing over him, and Jin is quick to order Namjoon to stay the night so he can keep an eye on the man, and the both of you are helping Namjoon into Jin’s bedroom, forcing him to lie down and get some rest
He quickly does as he is told, the blood loss obviously exhausting him, and you and Jin leave him be, retiring to the living room and falling next to each other on the couch once more
Nothing is said between you two; instead you just lean against each other in relief
The rollercoaster of emotions exhausted you, and you rest your head against Jin’s shoulder as he takes your hand, squeezing it in comfort
“He’s okay. Thank God. He’s okay,” you say and Jin turns to face you as you start speaking
However, what he doesn’t realise is that you are already looking at him, and now you noses are mere centimetres from each other
If he moved forwards just a fraction, your lips would be on one another
And as you stare into each others eyes, reading all the emotions in them, he does just that
It is a short, sweet kiss; a reassurance that you are there and alright, a reassurance of your feelings for each other
As you break away, you both smile softly before going to lean on each other once more
It isn’t long before you fall asleep despite the daylight still outside, the days events having taken a toll on you
Smiling softly down at you, Seokjin carefully manoeuvres you so you are laying down, covering you with a blanket while he gets up to start preparing food you and Namjoon will no doubt want and need when you wake up
When the sky had turned dark outside, it is to the smell of said food that you wake up
Apparently, Jin is a stress cook you find out, as when you get up to investigate the smells you find a variety of dishes on the counter
Clam broth, baked ham, walnut bread, stuffed celery and fried cauliflower among others
However, admist all the food, you find no sign of the cook himself and so you expect that he had taken some to Namjoon
Investigating, you go to Jin’s room and open the door and the sight you see is not what you expected at all
Namjoon is sat up with Jin sitting beside him, a plate of foot long forgotten as the two got caught up in a long kiss
Jin’s hands are barely touching Namjoon, as if afraid to hurt him even more, and Namjoon has his arms wrapped around the older man’s waist
Though as they hear the door open, the two quickly break apart
You can see a worried look on Seokjin’s face, but before he can even think about explaining you are quick to move forward, moving the untouched plate and joining the two on the bed, your eyes scanning Namjoon’s body for any signs of more bleeding
When you see none, your head falls in relief upon his bare chest, and you take one of his hands in yours and one of Seokjin’s in the other
But you quickly pick your head back up with a devious smirk upon your lips, wiggling your eyebrows at Jin
“So, is Namjoon a good kisser? Better than me? Or do you think you need to test more?”
A look of shock crosses Jin’s face, but it is quickly wiped off as you gently bring him in for a kiss, longer than the one you had previously shared
As you pull away, Jin looks at you with hooded eyes
“You know, I think they were both amazing, though that’s probably because it was me kissing both of you,” he says arrogantly, and you take that as a chance to face Namjoon and bring him in for a kiss as well
Pulling away once more, you pretend to think for a while, making a show out of it while Seokjin impatiently groans, Namjoon chuckling at the whining man
“I’m not sure, Namjoon is a pretty great kisser too. It could be that we are the good kissers and you are subpar...” you tease and Jin simply glares at you
And the food is completely forgotten about as the three of you continue to share kisses as you lie snuggled up in Jin’s bed, talking through the night and eventually falling asleep
Needless to say, after that point the three of you officially get together, not that anyone apart from your absolute closest friends actually know that of course
Jin ends up making you and Namjoon stay the night again and again for a week or so, so that he can keep an eye on Namjoon’s wound
When you question while you have to stay too, Jin just shuts you up with a kiss that makes you forget what you asked
You and Jin still spend the nights working at the speakeasy, and you try and convince Namjoon to stay behind and rest, which works only once
He still ends up following along and standing tall and mighty at the door or behind the bar with you
Though at the slightest wince he is forced to sit down, which he doesn’t mind too much as Jin takes this chance to sit him close to the stage so he can serenade him
Something which happens a lot in your relationship
Because Jin will sing to you and Joon all the time, from love songs to lullabies to silly childrens playground rhymes
And if Yoongi thought that getting you all together would shut Seokjin up, he was mighty wrong as now he had to both listen to the mans lovestruck rambles and play sappy songs on the piano for him
And whenever you or Namjoon catch Jin’s eye from across the room, you can count on him sending a flying kiss your way
Which you find hilarious as sometimes men and women around you will think Jin was flirting with them, and so you and Joon have a good laugh when you see him being mobbed after doing so
Namjoon, despite being pretty macho in public, loves affection behind closed doors
He loves laying down with you or Jin on top of him, using his chest as a pillow
Bonus points if it is him in the middle with the two of you either side of him tucked under his arm
Speaking of which, he always has an arm around your shoulders or your waist
Even at the bar he does so, knowing that most people will think it’s platonic or are too drunk to even give a damn
And he loves forehead kisses
When nobody is paying attention or you just meet up, he will greet you and Jin with a dimpled smile and a kiss on your temple
Jin on the other hand prefers backhugs
Giving or receiving, he doesn’t care
Not that you or Namjoon complain because Jin and his wide shoulders make a person feel so safe when being hugged, and seeing Jin flustered when you backhug him is always a delight
Dates aren’t a thing with the three of you
People wouldn’t accept a relationship between Namjoon and Seokjin, let alone three people in a non monogamous relationship
And so it is all on the downlow, spending time with each other at Seokjins place as he is the only one without roommates
You all just spend hours talking, and when you and Seokjin are both 100% sure that Namjoon’s wound has healed, sometimes more than talking
But your are all well versed in the art of secret keeping thanks to your night time lives
And so nobody could ever prove anything; not going against your wit, Namjoons smarts and Jin’s charm
To everyone, you are all just good friend
Which you are....good friends that fuck and say “I love you”

Seokjin held hands with Namjoon now, in public; life was too short not to. They walked with fingers interlinked, Namjoon’s thumb resting over his, rubbing absentminded circles over Seokjin’s knuckle as they wounded past the terminals of Incheon Airport. A middle-aged man on the other side of sixty gave them a sideways look as their children pushed a cart of luggage ahead. Near the arrivals gate, a trio of older Japanese auntie types stared at them shamelessly. But the rest did not care. When they got into a taxi, their cabbie glanced over them briefly, recognizing them as Seoul people or kids who have lived long enough in Seoul to think to claim it as them own. Then he turned toward the road, and they were homeward-bound.
Once on the highway, accompanied by the low frequencies of the KBS radio, Seokjin felt the tension around his shoulders snip away, string by string. Osaka in the fall—the flight—the endless meetings spent sitting primly behind his boss across the firm’s Japanese partners, “learning the trade,” feeling more frustrated and useless by the hour—all of it fell like rags to his feet. His suit jacket rested over Namjoon’s lap. Seokjin let his head fall against Namjoon’s shoulder, his body press deeper into Namjoon’s side, sink into the heat of him, the familiar aftershave. Unlike the other instances they had been apart after Namjoon returned from the military last year, they had known that this time apart would be a long one: a month. Still it had surprised Seokjin how fiercely he had missed Namjoon.
They were heading for Seokjin’s apartment now on the outer rim of Seodaemun District. It was close enough to their old university, and the younger of their friends, but just a couple of subway stops too far from Namjoon and Yoongi’s apartment to be considered within walking distance. During Namjoon’s tenure at the military, Namjoon had suggested the idea of moving in together over one of their numerous, increasingly smitten emails with each other. But Seokjin had thought it too soon and told Namjoon so.
They hadn’t even begun dating before Namjoon entered the army. During college and those early years after, Seokjin had been proud to suffer away his feelings with loud jokes and the occasional drunken cry on Yoongi’s shoulders. Namjoon had been too thickheaded to come around to his own until, apparently, the day of his confession right before his enlistment. During those hellish years while Namjoon was stationed south of Gwangju after basic, Seokjin had been half-convinced that everything would go terribly wrong once Namjoon returned to Seoul: They would become different people. Namjoon would realize he didn’t want Seokjin. They would slowly grow away from each other, and apart.
But it was silly now, to think back on it. They had already been moving too fast. They gave each other their I-love-you’s over their first set of emails. Namjoon sent him poems regularly, the searing ones—starting after the first time they spent the night together, during Namjoon’s first leave—but also endless love poems, making incredible promises about their future with phrases such as you, only you, from now to forever. Seokjin, being older, had felt necessary to be more moderate in his replies; still, their future being such a terrifying, amorphous, wonderful thing, he had written back his own share of weepy letters.
He wondered now, sitting in the taxi, whether he should bring up the topic of moving in together. Seokjin had told Namjoon they should try to work a relationship in the “real world” back in Seoul, and Namjoon had agreed. He had not mentioned it since and likely would not for some time. Namjoon had always been the type to charge into things one-hundred percent, and it probably hurt his ego to be rejected, but he also understood the need to be prudent. This was too important to fuck up.
But it had been six months, hadn’t it? Seokjin thought now. Was that long enough? Seokjin did not know how to factor Namjoon’s two years at the military into the benchmarks of a “usual” relationship. And what about all those years before? Still even as he worried the fantasy had grown larger: He and Namjoon could find a place equidistant from Seokjin’s office and Namjoon’s studio—they could see each other every day—hell, they could get a dog and a cat and a hamster together—they wouldn’t have to bother Yoongi or Taehyung anymore—
Next to him, Namjoon shifted. As they crossed the breadth of the Han River, carefully—Seokjin could feel Namjoon’s care, they were always careful about this—carefully Namjoon pressed his lips against Seokjin’s temple. In the rear review mirror, the driver’s gaze held straight. Seokjin let his eyes fall shut.
“Tired, hyung?” Namjoon asked.
Seokjin hummed, lazy.
“We have dinner with the others at six.”
Seokjin, eyes still closed, hummed at a different pitch, more like a whine this time.
“You should rest a bit. I’ll wake you up when we get back to your apartment.”
“I don’t need to sleep,” Seokjin said. “I slept on the plane. And during one of the financial forecast meetings. If I am being honest.”
Namjoon raised an eyebrow.
“All of the financial forecast meetings,” Seokjin revised.
“How is that even possible?”
“I’m good at not getting caught,” he said haughtily, and Namjoon chuckled.
Finally he looked up at Namjoon. He loved looking at Namjoon’s face, the way Namjoon’s brows softened and the way Namjoon laughed. Emotions always played out easily across Namjoon’s eyes and lips. He had such handsome features. Seokjin felt the old butterflies rise from his chest and settle into his abdomen.

The car left the brittle pavement of the bridge and skated now across the long stretch of riverside asphalt. Seokjin forgot himself. He had been stroking the back of Namjoon’s head, where the hair from Namjoon’s month-ago trip to the barbershop had formed soft curls at the ends; now he reached up, his fingers running rivulets in Namjoon’s hair. All the while Seokjin was breathing Namjoon in, his shampoo and the sunshine of his sun-dried clothes and the faint mugginess of his sweat. The last Seokjin could taste on his tongue, on Namjoon’s lips.
When Namjoon gave his lower lip a nip, Seokjin tightened his grip, accidentally pulling at the roots. Namjoon’s whole body, flush against Seokjin’s, tensed. Their lips parted by a hair’s breadth—Namjoon leaned his forehead against Seokjin’s. He looked at Seokjin. His eyes now had that calculating, knowing look Seokjin knew well, the one that verged on arrogance. Namjoon cupped Seokjin’s cheek with one hand, pulled him in so their lips met again. He traced the tip of his tongue over Seokjin’s lower lip—the same spot as before; Namjoon knew him too well—and dipped to suckle on it.
Surprised, a quiet moan escaped Seokjin’s throat.
Seokjin jerked back, covering his mouth. His eyes went to the driver. The driver did not even blink over where he was slouched over the steering wheel. Then the man glanced to the left—but it was only to change lanes. Outside, the buildings rose with the riverside levees. They were heading into Sinchon-dong soon.

(I've Really Wanted To Do This For Awhile, Mainly Because I'm Working On A Fic Series {No Promises} That Includes Most Of Bangtan's Ships. I Thought It'd Be Cool! If This Goes Well I might Make This Into A Series!

●I really like the thought of Taekook with this one; they have really nice dynamics for it. I think I'm going to make Hoseok the Genie, but with much less blue. He and Taehyung would make a good duo in this. Honestly, though, I just really love the movie and want to write about the Taekook magic carpet ride. Also, Jungkook being sassy with Tae is such a concept, like Taehyung would be so whipped for it●

●I actually have have a plan for this one, and it's gonna be a little emotional, and I hope I can write it well enough. Seokjin as Bell & Namjoon as The Beast (except instead of an animal type beast, I would put a different spin on it).

Like the part where they steal from the king, Hoseok would be so creative with it and dressing up as a girl wouldn't even be that hard of a feat, he's so pretty●

●Vhope is the epitome of childish, so this is the perfect AU for them. They're so perfect together, and so happy, I love it! Taehyung would always try to be more mature because he was raised to be like that, and his parents throw a fit over it a lot. So Hoseok takes it upon himself to show Taehyung how to be a kid. I just like emotionally constipated Taehyung, that's trying to do the right thing. It really gets to me.

Jimin as Aurora & Hoseok as Prince Phillip.
●This is really nice because while Hoseok is super silly and fun, he cares so much and would do anything for Bangtan, and it reflects in his actions. So, if prince Hoseok is the love of Jimin's life and has to kiss him and fight dragons, you bet he's going to do it. I think I'm to make thier pre-sleep story longer and emotionally attached than the original story of the Sleeping Beauty●
Jikook in The Little Mermaid:

●I literally cry at the thought of this because it would be so beautiful. I know people project Jimin as really sexy and more of a playboy in fics, but I wouldn't mind making Jimin innocent and new to a lot of things with this, and just letting Jimin stumble a little a little through it all makes it feel more real. Something like this fits Jikook really well●

●I'd like to spin this with the real Snow White, and make Yoongibbe super pure but have a little bit too much of an attitude. I know it clashes with the real concept of Snow White, but I think it'd be a fun read. Jungkook would get suprised because he thought Yoongi was supposed to be gentle and perfect, but it has more depth if he falls in love with Yoongi despite him having a few flaws. Yonngi is still just as beautiful with a bad mouth on him on him, it adds character.
Vmin in Red Riding Hood:
Taehyung as The Wolf & Jimin as Red Riding Hood.
●This, uh, this why I have breathing problems. I know people always like the whole Little Red and timber cutter (that's what he was, right?), but I'd like for Jimin to fall with a flawed, struggling Wolf. Taehyung would try to project himself as strong and not very nice, and he doesn't make a lot of right choices. He uses his ability to be scary as a form of protection, and Jimin could be exactly what Tae needs to loosen up●

Taehyung as The White King & Jungkook as Alice.
●Jungkook falling down the rabbit hole is such a concept, but some would be like "JK is a bunny, so make him the white rabbit". I just he fits Alice a lot more. I could really go on for days about this AU, I love it so much. Jungkook making his way through Wonderland and getting help from Taehyung, The White King, makes me cry. Like, Tae would always let Jungkook stay in his palace and be really doting and make sure he's fine.. especially when Jungkook accidentally causes trouble and had to stay away from The Red King●

●Yoongi not knowing anything about the world is really dangerous, but imagine that cute face he does when he's suprised like a mix between a pout and he barely lets his mouth hang. It's really cute, but Hoseok would get addicted to it and try to show Yoongi absolutely everything in hopes of trying to get it out of him again. I could probably mix some really emotional things in with this, I know the actual movie had me devastated when I first watched it●

But I was going through the recent asks you answered. The one about insecure jikooker caught my attention. Like seriously????
I think these jikookers are only watching tkkr contents other than jikook. There are hell lot of moments between other two members (as you mentioned). People need to watch other ship contents also and when they don't jikookers become toxic same as tkkrs. (I just read somewhere that jikookers hate tae? Seriously? I haven't really come across the extent of hate tae got because of jikookers like the way JM gets from tkkrs. But seriously, I thought jikookers are the most sane shippers in the whole K-pop fandom and if they are spreading hate, then they should rather come out of the imagination, it's not good in there 👀)
I in fact find every other ship of JM the cutest interaction. Jikook being my bias in shipping and shopping community as well as the bias wrecker also 😂
But I love minimoni, jihope and jinmin shipping contents. They are cute funny and sane shippers. In fact let's mention yoonmin, vmin - even they're cute.
But yah! Memories have equal amount of shipping content which the creators know will get more and more focus on. It shows the commonality and difference between two members involved in a ship. Ot7 is the priority but to some extent editors know the shipping game as well. So rather than focusing on your own ship or the most competitive ship, people need to focus on all the ships to not affect their mental peace and others 😂
(Exception of course - jikook. Go watch the almost kissing of memories 2020 a few more times. Go go!)
I sometimes really hate seeing things through the shipper timeline because things can get soooo distorted sometimes. I want CONTEXT please. Lol this is why I can't wait until I can sit and watch memories as it is in full, on my own. Put things into perspective. I also follow accounts for lots of different ships because I love seeing their posts. NamJin, jinkook, vmin and Jihope were POPPING yesterday 🤣 so many moments, their hourly accounts were posting way more than hourly lol.
A really good example of what i mean though about seeing things through a shippers timeline when context tells a totally different story would be this moment. Jikook accounts were posting this clip, making it a cute and only jikook moment:

And yet, THIS was the full moment, a full on complete vminkook moment. All 3 playing together and being cute and silly and ending with them all sitting with their heads together:
This is why context is important. It's important to also try to look at things from outside a shippers POV sometimes too, especially when we are all only getting this little clips while we wait for memories to finish shipping out.
And personally anon, I agree with you. Jimin's ships are some of my favorites. Our king of chemistry for sure. He is just so loveable.

BTS at Golden Disc Awards 2021

On the 9th and 10th of January 2021 BTS attended the Golden Disc Awards, and performed on the second day as well. Being there they won the Digital Bonsang for Dynamite on the 9th and the Bonsang, as well as the Album Daesang for Map of the Soul : 7, on the 10th. Amazing achievements which I sincerely congratulate them on.
When it comes to the performance, it was, most certainly, another amazing collection of stages bringing something new once more, even if they presented songs we’ve already seen at previous award shows this season. The opening came in form of Black Swan, though they didn’t sing any of it. It was more an intro showcasing the entrance of the members and highlighted Yoongi’s return to the stage, at least partially.
The stage featured big metal winds, low lighting, and the members clad in black and white clothing including leather elbow length gloves for Namjoon and Yoongi, and pretty chockers for Taehyung and Jimin. The highlight though was Jungkook’s hair which isn’t dark anymore, but instead has been bleached and dyed a pretty blond. Personally I think it suits him pretty well.
More below the cut since this is shaping up to be pretty long:
Next up was ON, which was powerful and fierce, though still missing Yoongi, which is all too understandable. Even though he can stand on stage again and hold his mic in his left hand (his surgery was on the left shoulder), it will still be a while until he’ll be able to dance with the members. ON has certainly grown a lot on me and I enjoy their performances of it immensely, and it was much the case this time as well.
The transition from ON to Life Goes On came in form of the stage being made to look like their individual rooms from BE which appeared on the digital walls around them. Their clothes were mostly comfy, though Jimin’s resembled their outfits from all the way back during I NEED U/RUN era. The transition/VCR like moment ended with the instrumental to We Are Bulletproof : The Eternal and the stage looking much the way the MV did with the whale swimming around them in an ocean of shades of purple, blue and pink.
For Life Goes On they had miniature versions of some of their most iconic MV sets on pedestals. It was a really cute idea and I enjoyed the execution a lot. The members seemed relaxed and enjoying themselves, Jimin and Taehyung even having their little moment of looking at each other twice, these moments certainly having become something I always kind of look forward to when it comes to LGO stages.
Another tiny Jimin and Taehyung detail was Jimin sending a brief, barely noticeable (by the viewer) finger heart which I hadn’t even noticed until my fourth rewatch. It definitely fits with all these other small gestures we’ve seen from these two in recent months, like the finger hearts and kissy faces during their Lotte Family Concert performance of Boy with Luv or hugging each other on day 1 and doing a fun handshake and dance on day 2 during Dionysus at the MOTS ON:E concert visible only on one of the side cameras, not the main one.
The grand finale was the Slow Jam remix of Dynamite which worked perfectly with the chill out lounge/bar atmosphere created on stage fitting with the Great Gatsby theme. The members wore mostly suits in white, blue in Namjoon’s case, and a bright yellow when it comes to Taehyung, as well as Hoseok who had a white button down which Tae did not. While a normal person would look ridiculous in it, Taehyung looked absolutely stunning and made it more than work. After so many energetic performances of Dynamite since its release, seeing such a calm version was really nice and refreshing, showing how versatile BTS and their music are, how they can captivate an audience with fast songs made for big choreographies and stage productions, but also these slow, more chill types of tracks. A marvelous idea, truly.
There was also an encore stage where they sang ON again but this time along with Yoongi on stage which had some hilarious moments, especially Namjoon and Seokjin being silly waving their arms around while kneeling opposite each other on stage during Jungkook’s bridge. Cute.
Afterward the members were at something like a red carpet after interview where they took pictures with their awards (Jungkook and Taehyung even making their Bonsang and Daesang awards kiss much the way film director Bong Joon Ho made his two Oscars kiss last year) and were asked to do a relay of saying something to each other.

Honestly the bond between Jimin and Hoseok is so cute and wonderful and you can see, and hear in their words, how important they are to each other, and how grateful Hobi is. We know the members were having a really hard time in 2020 so it doesn’t surprise me that Hobi would highlight the other members, or in this case Jimin, as one of the main reasons why he made it through it. After all we also know that those two made a song together which unfortunately didn’t make it onto BE. Hopefully we might get it one day at least as SoundCloud release, or perhaps on the next album instead.

It was you who made us pull ourselves together to go through 2020. I am always grateful, and it’d be nice if you share you height a little with me in 2021, be healthy and happy.

I love how Jimin used this (public) opportunity to tell/remind Namjoon of how important he was for them especially in 2020, as leader and surely also as friend, yet still also made a little joke to still keep the atmosphere light. After he was done speaking Jimin also hugged Namjoon, which showed once more how tiny he is in comparison.

It’s finally today, Jungkook-si, in 10 years! You are Golden Maknae! The day that you will prove your nickname! You are proving it right now with your hair color, but in 2021, I hope the year will be filled with gold, like your nickname. Stay healthy. Let’s ‘Jje-kkit-up’ together this year too!

It’s quite something to think about and realize, isn’t it, this year 10 years pass since Jungkook became a BigHit trainee and moved into their first dorm with Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi and Seokjin. I’m curious if Bangtan, as well as BigHit, have some kind of plan for JK specifically for this year that Namjoon chose to highlight his Golden Maknae nickname in such a way, or if it was more of a reminder to JK, that he’s so worthy despite how he doubts himself, and despite how he himself said he’s been going through tough times in 2020.

V hyung, when we were trainees we were getting along so well, (V: We are not now???) No!!! i didn’t mean it. You are becoming so much of an stand-up (reliable, I assume in this context) guy. Thank you for doing all the schedules with us.

The bond these two share might just be one of the biggest mysteries and causes for conflicts and fights within the fandom, or particular parts of it. After their conversation In The SOOP, I’d like to believe they’ve figured out whatever issue might've arisen between them in the past, found a way to solve and move past it slowly, and rekindled their friendship once more. Seeing at how well they’ve been getting along (on camera) these past few months, I think it might've been so. It’s curious to me though that JK chose to say this instead of something more akin to what Jimin said to Namjoon, or Hoseok to Jimin.

I absolutely adore the bond these two share and I love that Tae chose to say what he did. We know Seokjin has been going through a hard time in 2020, that he dealt with something I’d call imposter syndrome, so I’m glad we got to know even more about how Tae was there for him, something we otherwise would’ve never known. Certain people try to portray Tae as the one member that is almost estranged from his other members, who barely has anything to do with the group outside of schedules, and yet it’s moments like this--as well as Seokjin telling us in his birthday vlive that Tae organized for everyone including his non-BTS friends to send Seokjin birthday wishes in video form to show him how loved and appreciated he is--are the proof that those people are wrong. Tae is very close with his members, and he’s the ambassador of OT7 or nothing, the members his closest friends and brothers, his found and chosen family.

These two are so close yet due to their introverted nature their interactions such as this one are just so hilarious and adorable at the same time. Their dynamic is wonderful and this just seems like peak Yoongi-Jin behavior.

The saga of Yoongi being unable to look Hoseok in the eye continues and it’s just as precious as ever. They stood so close, and while Yoongi wasn’t able to look into Hoseok’s eyes, it’s funny how he was the one who initiated the whole “them standing so close together” thing. I love the difference between how Seokjin didn’t even try to make eye-contact while Hoseok playfully challenged Yoongi and tried to coax him into it anyway knowing it’ll make Yoongi laugh and smile. It’s such a Yoongi-Hoseok thing, I love it.

Hello :) I'm curious : what are your favorite broships in BTS ?
Well this is just a MEAN question, now isn’t it? Next, you’re going to ask me which of my children* is my favorite, aren’t you?

Every pairing in Bangtan is just fucking phenomenal and has mountains of evidence to back it up. It’s one of the great things about Bangtan. So while there are some I gravitate toward more than others, I love them All, and all for very different reasons. SO! Instead of answering the question you actually asked (because I am a rebel and easily distracted) I’m just going to tell you what I love about every pairing. Buckle up! (This is going to be a long one)
Going in age order because it’s just easier this way.
Yoonjin - The old dude roommates! Yoongi completely buys into Jin’s dad jokes and Jin puts Yoongi in his place. Their dynamic is so close to equal, but with this nice push and pull of Yoongi technically being the dongsaeng but Jin respecting Yoongi’s music abilities and near-deputy-leader status in the group. I mean, they push their beds together to watch movies. They’re the quiet bros who somehow manage to annoy the maknae line and I love it.
2seok - The world needs so much more 2seok in it. The way Hobi teaches Jin dance? The way Jin watches out for Hobi? The laughter between the two of them (anyone remember beat boxing in LA?) is so much fun. They also probably have secret meetings where they plot the best ways to embarrass the rest of the group at any given moment. They’re the goofy and underestimated bros who support one another.
Namjin - Listen. Namjin are married. Whether it’s platonic or romantic or simply comedic, they are bonded for life and I love it so much. Jin is Joon’s safe place. He seeks him out in stressful situations or in interviews, gravitating toward him like a moon around a planet. And Jin is just so fucking PROUD of Namjoon and supports his leadership. Joon said in his vlive this weekend that Jin’s twitter selfie gave him joy all day! They’re the parent bros who would still spend most of their spare time together even if there were no kids to take care of.
Jinmin - THESE TWO. How they manage to be gentle and savage at the same time, I have no idea. But God it’s fun to watch. Jimin laughs at every single one of Seokjin’s dad jokes. Jin DELIGHTS in making Jimin laugh. Jin enjoys feeding Jimin during Eat Jin and Jimin is so very happy to be there. The amount of Jinmin on the Wings Tour is actually kind of amazing – seems like Jimin is backstage during Awake every single night and I love it. They’re the Sass Bros who will likely try to feed you within an inch of your life.
Taejin - This is possibly the MOST hyung/dongsaeng relationship within the Jin pairings, amazingly enough. He’s still the hyung to all the others, but I see him treating Tae as his little brother maybe the most of the others. There’s lots of hair petting and chin scritching and back hugs. Then again, it’s probably a 50/50 split on who initiates those first. And Taehyung is ALWAYS coming to Seokjin’s defense, especially over the teasing of the other members, just like a good little brother. They also have like ZERO boundaries with each other – showering together, accidental kissing onstage, wiping frosting off Jin’s face and eating it right there on camera. They’re the overly affectionate actor bros who cannot take themselves too seriously.
Jinkook - My love for Jinkook goes back to predebut, when Kookie almost quit because he was so homesick and Jin made sure he felt loved and cared for. And now Seokjin screams at him “I raised you on my BACK” which is delightful. They also seem like they would prank the members together, given the opportunity (I’m thinking of the Eat Jin where Jin was screaming and Joon came in all worried and they both played dumb without even rehearsing it). Jungkook is Jin’s baby in a different way than the hyung/dongsaeng thing Jin’s got with Tae, but Kookie kind of babies him right back (and Jin is possibly at his silliest and “youngest” around Kook). They’re the snuggle bros who probably shouldn’t be left unsupervised.
Yoonseok - Okay. You know how I said I didn’t have favorites? Well, if I DID, it would be this one. Hoseok is afraid of nearly everything and whenever he’s scared, he goes straight to Yoongi. And Yoongi is never anything but patient and kind about it – and possibly the most tactile he ever is with anyone in those moments. He LIKES being this outlet for Hobi and never fails to pump him up before he has to do something scary. Their Sope stuff is just so funny and silly and amazing. Hoseok brings out the most joyous part of Yoongi, and Yoongi allows Hoseok to be himself. They’re the rapper bros who probably spend more time in the studio giggling together than actually getting work done.
Sugamon - These two have been through some SHIT together and made it to the other side, bonded by fire. They know each other’s darkness and wounded places better than anyone else, but it’s only made them kinder and more gentle with one another. The way the interact on stage when one of them is rapping? Ooph. They support each other so well. I imagine their creative styles don’t always mesh, but they have worked so hard to find middle ground. Yoongi’s quiet caretaking and Namjoon’s propensity to get trapped in his own head are a perfect match sometimes. They’re the musical artist bros who will always have each other’s backs.
Yoonmin - “You know.” “I know.” UGH. These two are my bias and bias wrecker, so it’s only reasonable that I love this pairing. Plus, the sunshine/grump dynamic is always fun. Jimin can get away with shit that no other dongsaeng would even attempt. Yoongi is so whipped for him, I cannot believe it. They look out for one another in very specific ways. They’re the perfectionist bros who pull each other back from the brink at just the right moment.
Taegi - Taehyung seeks Yoongi’s approval more than the other hyungs. Yoongi finds Taehyung charming and infuriating in equal measure. It’s more sunshine/grump dynamic, but it’s different. I have a feeling that, in the early days, Tae kind of exhausted Yoongi. But you can also see a deep bond and a fuckton of affection between the two of them. In group things where Tae is being ridiculous, you can almost always find Yoongi in the back with a hand over his own mouth or his lips pressed tight, trying not to lose it over how adorable Tae is. They’re the Daegu bros who’ve found the same rhythm.
Sugakookie - I think Yoongi is kind of stunned by Kookie and his abilities – he’s always one to unabashedly appreciate talent. And Kook, well, sometimes when he looks at Yoongi, I get the strangest vision of a toddler wearing a toolbelt so he can build stuff just like his dad. Their adorable recurring bit about the lamb skewers is sweet and brotherly and I love it. They’re the “sleep is for the weak, sleep is for a week” bros who probably need someone else to tell them both when to quit.
Namseok - There is not enough Namseok in this world either (there’s not enough HOSEOK in this world, let alone Hoseok paired with another hyung, but that’s a different too-long post). Namjoon wants nothing more than to shove Hoseok into the spotlight where he belongs (they way he hyped Hobi’s intro and 1Verse and a million other things? My heart). And Hoseok may be a moodmaker with everyone, but he’s especially attuned to Namjoon’s mood – he can bring a gentle peace to Joon in the most turbulent times (I cannot stop thinking of them on Navy Pier in Chicago on Now 3, just a week after the threat in NYC). I think that Namjoon might be Hoseok’s quiet place, and Hoseok is a special kind of comfort to Joon. They’re the 94 liner bros who need each other like air.
Jihope - We probably have the most “candid” footage of these two, both in volume and in actual honesty. They are always playing around with cameras together. Their friendship is easy and fun and incredibly supportive. They pester each other so much and cannot keep their hands to themselves. They help each other burn off excess energy backstage. They’re probably the most likely to take a joke too far but also the fastest to forgive each other. They’re the empath bros who help one another recharge.
Vhope - The silliness between these two. Hobi indulges all of Tae’s random thoughts and Tae is more than happy to play with Hoseok when the mood strikes him. I’ve always said that in the Bangtan Family where Jin is the mom, Joon is the Dad, and Yoongi is the uncle/grandpa, that Hoseok is the noona who takes care of the kids when the actual adults are too tired. This is never more apparent than with Vhope. Jimin is the mom of the maknae line and Kook often refuses to be mothered (except by Jin and usually only on his terms), so Tae is the best and most willing outlet for Hobi’s cheek-pinching form of nurturing. They’re the skinship bros who have to be told a million times a day to calm down and shut up and they don’t actually care at all.
Junghope - There’s something so comfortable and natural about these two together. They dance hard and play hard and aren’t afraid to ask each other for what they need. I especially think of the Bomb where Hoseok asks Kookie to pet his hair to help him sleep (which Kook indulges with a soft smile) and the episode of Bon Voyage where koala’s the hell out of him and plays with HIS hair. They’re more… equal(?) than any other pairing between the hung line and the maknae line, despite the age gap. It’s almost like age doesn’t matter to them. They’re the dance bros who can calm each other with just one touch.
Minjoon - Another not-picking-favorites favorite. Jimin looks at Namjoon like he hung he moon and Namjoon looks at Jimin like he IS the moon. If Jin is Joon’s Safe Place, then Jimin is his Home Base. He just melts whenever Jimin is involved. On the flipside, Jimin needs to be needed and Joon is able to drop the leader mantle and need Jimin *outloud.* In fact, I think there are times that Joon thinks he’s taking care of Jimin and Jimin is only letting him believe that because he knows Namjoon needed someone to take care of right then. They’re the over-thinker bros who always put the other first and, in so doing, manage to heal themselves.
Vmon - I would really like to know Tae’s IQ because I think it has to be nearly as high as Joon’s. Or maybe his intelligence and pattern-finding and out-of-the-box thinking can’t be measured in the same way. But no matter, these boys are both geniuses and their artistic interests follow the same unconventional path. They probably have really interesting conversations about the most random shit. Plus, Joon finds Taehyung stinking adorable and Taehyung wants to impress him all the time. They’re the artsy fashion bros who probably believe they care about the other more than is reciprocated because they both believe they’re simultaneously too much and no enough.
Kookiemonster - Oh man, this relationship is defined by hero worship amped to eleven. But the funny thing is, it kiiiiind of flows both ways. I think Namjoon is just as impressed with Kook as Yoongi is. And, although he’d probably never admit it out loud, Joon positively thrives on the attention Kook gives him. And Jungkook wants nothing more than Namjoon’s attention. He chose BigHit out of all the other agencies scouting him BECAUSE OF Namjoon. But Nams is ceaselessly impressed by all the things that Jungkook can do and how hard he works and lets him know it. They’re the hero bros who make some of the best collabs.
Vmin - They’re two halves of the same whole, destined to be each other’s Person. They’re best friends and partners in crime and always game for whatever scheme the other has and unafraid to talk about the important and the mundane and everything in between. They’re the soulmate bros who will live next door to one another long after Bangtan and raise their kids side-by-side and turn into grumpy old men together, mark my words.
Jikook - Listen. I have many many things to say about Jikook and I’ve said most of them before. But in addition to those things, Jungkook looks startlingly similar to Jimin’s actual little brother and if you don’t think that impacts their dynamic, then you’re crazy. The push-pull between them that so many people interpret wrongly (and abusively more often than not) is mostly due to Jimin’s instinct to baby him and Jungkook’s desperate desire to prove himself. But their brotherhood bond is STRONG and irrefutable. They’re the peacock and bunny bros who laugh their way through very real and very useful competition.
Taekook - I cannot think of a better description than littermates. They are both PUPPIES with boundless energy and enthusiasm who love each other simply because they’re brothers and why WOULDN’T THEY? They’re the video-game playing, anime-watching, snack-time-turned-wrestling-match kind of friends and it’s simple and pure and occasionally violent but don’t for one second mistake that for shallow or temporary. They’re the bro-iest bros that ever bro-ed.
OH! And listen. I do not ever participate in ship wars (who the fuck even has TIME for that?), but there is one ship-related fight I’m always ready to have and it’s about SHIP NAMES. My god, people. It’s not Yoonkook. You have the opportunity (and fandom support) for the name SUGAKOOKIE and you choose Yoonkook? That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works. The only ones I might be able to bend on are Sope and Sin, but even then… Boys, you were too late to that party and the names have already been decided by ARMY. Sorry. Taekook know what’s up, though.

*I don’t technically have kids, but that’s really only a matter of biology and not affection because I’m a spare parent to two amazing and wonderful kiddos and I’m also an auntie-ish thing to about nine more (plus an actual biological auntie to two MORE), so I think the comment still stands. who hogs the duvet: Yoongi. Poor Hobi wakes up at least once a week in the middle of the night because he’s cold, only to look over and see that Yoongi has made himself a blanket cocoon (it’s too cute for him to ever complain about it tbh)
who texts/rings to check how their day is going: Both of them!! They’re always texting throughout the day, even if it’s just small “did you eat lunch?” “when was the last time you took a break to nap/relax/stretch?”
who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts: Hoseok! He’s always picking up on the smallest things that Yoongi mentions and will turn it into a silly gag gift that will make both of them laugh, while Yoongi still keeps it in Genius Labs or on the kitchen counter for Laughs (it’s how the ended up with a Domo themed toaster and why there’s this poster in Genius Labs)
who gets up first in the morning: They’re both horrible about getting out of bed unless it’s absolutely necessary. Sometime it’s Yoongi because he’s hungry, other time it’s Hoseok because he wanted to brush his teeth before the Morning Smooches started
who suggests new things in bed: Probably Hoseok. Yoongi knows what they both like and what works for both of them and is pretty content with that, so it’s usually Hobi who will come up to him and be like “
who cries at movies: Yoongi denies crying, but they both know that he 100% does. (Hoseok does too sometimes)
who gives unprompted massages: Both!! Hoseok’ll come up behind Yoongi while Yoongi is working on his laptop doing music stuff, and he’ll just start massaging over his shoulders, and sometimes they’re lounging on the couch, Yoongi sitting and Hobi laying down, and Yoongi will start massaging Hoseok’s feet for him.
who fusses over the other when they’re sick: I definietely feel like Yoongi is the Big Worrier whenever Hoseok gets sick, especially since he knows that sometimes Hoseok will overwork himself just because he doesn’t want to let the others down.
who gets jealous easiest: Yoongs lmao. But he’s lowkey about it, as in always standing a little closer to Hoseok or maybe holding his hand a little tighter.
who has the most embarrassing taste in music: J-HOOOOPPPEEE. Too many times has Yoongi walked into the practice room to where Hobi is dancing to like american 80′s synth/90′s boyband music and having the time of his life
who collects something unusual: It’s not really “unusual” per se, but they both like to collect cassette tapes, even if they never listen to them or have a player to listen to them on. It’s the #aesthetic and they like that they all have a unique story behind them (esp mixtape ones). Yoongi personally has a little collection of kumamon figurines, and Hoseok collects light house figurines since he loves the ocean.
who takes the longest to get ready: Surprisingly, Yoongi. He’s always picky about things like which belt to wear or if it’s a “beanie or baseball cap kind of day”.
who is the most tidy and organised: They’re both pretty organised, but Hobi is probably just a little bit more tidy than Yoongs is.
who gets most excited about the holidays: Both!! They love the holidays, regardless of what it is (And they always take those silly couple selfies together in matching sweaters/holiday themed outfits
who is the big spoon/little spoon: I will fight anyone who says that Yoongi isn’t a little spoon. Have you seen the way that he naturally sleeps??
who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports: YOONGI. Game nights are always a disaster because they always end with Yoongi claiming that he really won or there was a draft that messed up his dice roll or that he “really did sneeze” after knocking over half of the board.
who starts the most arguments: Admittedly Hoseok. Yoongi claims that he’s making a deal out of nothing, and it’ll be taken care of when it needs to be. Hoseok claims that Yoongi just doesn’t care and should save them both time and admit it.
who suggests that they buy a pet: It’s a mutual decision, really. They figure that Holly and Mickey both need another friend, so why not make it a mutual adoption?
what couple traditions they have: Every free Saturday that they have together, they make up a sheet fort in the dining room and watch movies together, all cuddled up. Every anniversary, they sit down that day together and write a lil letter to the other one for the NEXT anniversary that they have together before opening up the letters from last year.

Omg? Idk you were from Korea that's so cool!! I'd really like to know how K-army's see the other members, I mean as an i-army there are so many hard to find strong powered Jimin fics and not motherly Jin fics. I mean don't get me wrong I'm always down to read whatever as long as it has a good plot, and characterization but I want to know your point of view or how k-army's generally view BTS and shipping and all tht good stuff. By the way ILYSM !!! I want to be just as good as you when writing.

Hahah I did receive most of my school in an English-speaking country but yup, I’ve also spent many years in Korea and living in Korea now! :) And ooh, I’m glad you asked because this is a very interesting topic! I’ll go briefly into how k-army views and characterizes the boys, but keep in mind, Koreans tend to also go into extremes in certain cases (like making some of them complete psychopaths for the storyline….but Ill exclude those).
JinJin is very VERY rarely (if not never) depicted as a motherly figure. He’s the one that gets sort of picked on by the others (playfully of course) but is also the rational one that gets the scariest when angry. Oftentimes paired with Jungkook.
Yoongi Rough-spoken, swears a lot, a giant tsundere who’s generally like “fuck all of you” until he meets the other one. Usually really good at fighting too and will beat the shit out of people bullying his love interest. Never initiates a relationship and the other party has to pursue him till the end of the world and Yoongi tends to regret not being with the person in the first place and always make the move “too late”
Namjoon Surprisingly he’s written oftentimes as this big dork who only gets serious when it comes to just him and his love interest (like when it’s just the two of them together). Interesting fact…Namjin isn’t big at all in Korea. I think the top pair with Namjoon is with Hoseok or Yoongi actually?
HoseokHappy. Screamy. Silly. But usually always has some sort of a really sad past or is the one suffering from one-sided love that he doesn’t show for YEARS. Oftentimes third wheeling it HARD or is the one who leaves his lover for the “good of the other party.”
Jimin Sassy, super manly, calm and collected. Outwardly, his speech pattern is very clipped and almost like how Yoongi’s is perceived, but everyone knows he’s sweet inside. Cares a lot but doesn’t blatantly show it and will instead try to protect people on his own. (It’s either that or he’s made fun of relentlessly by other members lol)
Taehyung Now Tae is interesting, because he’s either written as this cold, calculated, oftentimes powerful and intimidating guy who takes charge (and is smooth as fuck) or as the lost, confused little bunny (who somehow is still smooth as fuck??) OR EVEN BOTH. I think it stems from how he speaks cutely in Seoul dialect and how his demeanor/language pattern changes when he speaks Daegu dialect (and the difference between Taetae and V). Keep in mind that writers in Korea explore both dialects when writing.
Jungkook Mostly written as crazy, wild, out-of-control, “I do whatever the fuck I wantttttt” character. Jeonlous. Will aggressively and relentlessly pursue someone not caring if the person is like STOBIT. He’s oftentimes the REBOUND of another pair and I still don’t know why that’s the case. Number one choice for the villain of the piece (why kookie why!!)
I think the biggest difference when it comes to writing for k-writers and i-writers is that k-writers REALLY expand their creative horizon…to the point where I actually have come to stay away from a lot of their materials, because some of them include romanticizing violent relationships, rape and other abusive behavior (Don’t get me wrong, not all of them are like that). Korean writing, by nature, don’t really include super fluffy characters, because the culture is based on suppressing emotions, but you will see them doing extreme things for the love of their lives (which also leads to so much heartache and misunderstandings that oftentimes breakups…my heartu). But when it comes to angst…o god, all the well-written ones are usually deathfics or fics of heartbreaks…which is why I’m generally frolicking in AO3 and not on a Korean blog.
So yeah! There you have it! Honestly, I’ve only read the super popular ones (none of them with jikook, yoonseok or namjin unfortunately…sadface) and posts with people talking about different pairs but these were the patterns I picked up :) I must say, when it comes to a good deathfic, high school teens dealing with super angsty situations or something extreme, Korean writers really know what’s up.
Oh, and in Korea, I feel like most authors don’t stick to a single pair. They will try basically ANY ship and write about it…which is probably why you won’t find any hardcore shippers or ship wars in the k-community! At the same time, they’re also not very concerned about being PC, but that’s usually because of the difference in culture lol. So what do you think? Which would you prefer? Im curious!

BTS GOBLIN AU - CH2
A/N: A taekook fic based on the kdrama Goblin. Written by my lovely bff @stupendouspaperplane and edited by me. Sideships include yoonmin and namjin. Other alternative ships might happen if we decide to do alternative endings.

“Jimin hyung? But I thought- Hoseok? Why.. ” Jungkook asked with a tremulous voice, his mind still unable to keep up with the quick unfolding of the event.
“We switched rooms. He suggested it, since he knew I had.. issues with my roommate.”
“Ohh..”, Jungkook nodded slowly, unsure of his next move. Should he greet Jimin? What should he say? Long time no see? I’ve been searching you for years? I missed you? Jungkook stayed like that for moments, an awkward silence creeped up between the two.
It was Jimin who broke the silence. “Look at you, grown up and all. I can barely recognise you.” He gave Jungkook a small smile. “I still remember you were about this tall when you left…”, Jimin gestured with his hand around his bare chest.
Ahh fuck it, Jungkook thought while he pulled Jimin’s hand and wrapped him in a tight hug, their strand of red and brown hair intertwined together in the progress. After a moment, Jungkook pulled away with a smile so genuine his eyes were smiling too. “As much as I’m happy to meet you here...”, he paused and looked at Jimin in the eyes. There was a hint of anxious in Jimin’s eyes when he waited for Jungkook to continue.
“I think you better finish off with your shower, hyung.”, with their laughters echoing in their small dorm, everything felt like it was back in the old days.

“Do you remember that time when we sneaked you out from your house on your birthday?”, Jimin asked. It was later that day, the boys were lounging on the couch with takeaways and cans of beers in their hands. The television was playing a movie that none of them was paying attention to. The faint sound of the movie accompanied them as they revisited their old memories. “Of course I do, how could I forget?”, Jungkook giggled.
“Like, out of all possible places you could have brought me to, you picked the docks. Seriously, who does that?”, Jungkook teased the older while poking at him playfully. “You are the one who requested a ‘special’ place Jungkookie, it was the best I could come up at the time.”
“I hope you didn’t bring your girlfriends to that kind of places.”, Jungkook said it as a joke and expected a denial from Jimin, but instead he remained silent and took a sip of his beer. “NO WAY!”, Jungkook gapsed. “Hyung did you really bring your dates to the docks!? You do realise there's a difference between a twelve year old bestie and a girlfriend right?” “Shut up would you. I never had a girlfriend.”, Jimin sighed, he should not have brought beer at Jungkook’s request, not even when he pleaded with puppy eyes.
Jungkook eyed Jimin up and down, making him somewhat uncomfortable. “But how could you not? You are so handsome..”, he patted Jimin on the thigh and rested his hand there. “And fit.” Jimin raised his eyebrows but let Jungkook’s hands be, okay, maybe he was a little bit drunk as well. “ I just don’t.”, he replied.
“Not even one?”
“Nope.”
Jungkook leaned on Jimin’s small body, silence filled the room as both of them fell into their own thoughts. “I should help you set up some blind dates hyung, I do not want you to be lonely when you are 60.”, Jungkook suddenly suggested with a straight face, his eyebrows squished together in a line. Jimin only laughed at the younger’s sudden seriousness, he had known better than to argue with a drunk man. “I think you should go to sleep Jungkookie.”
“Why should I?”, Jungkook replied with a pout. Jimin knew his friend was aware that his weakness was his cuteness, he was doing it on purpose, drunk or not. “Don’t you have class tomorrow morning?” He sighed. “Actually, I don’t”, Jungkook said with a smirk and leaned forward for another can of beer. Jimin stood up and took the remaining cans before Jungkook did. “I think that’s enough for today.” He said and got up to put the cans in the fridge.
Jungkook sank back into the couch, his eyes following Jimin as he walked back and forth to clean up the living room. “Hyung, do you still remember the day I left?”, he asked.
“Mmhm.”
“Are you angry at me for not saying goodbye?”, Jimin stopped and thought about the question. He was upset, yes. Way beyond upset than he should be, it was Jungkook that promised he would say goodbye before he went to Busan with his family. So technically it was not Jimin’s fault that he was disappointed when he waited and waited until the sun set but his best friend was nowhere to be seen.
But Jimin had promised himself if he ever had a chance to meet Jungkook again, he would not tell the boy anything about it. So of course his answer was, “No, I’m not.” Jungkook tilted his head as his eyes trailed after Jimin, “Well that’s unexpected, I thought you would hate my guts.”
“If you don’t go to sleep now I would. ”, Jimin pulled the pouting boy up from the sofa and towards their bedrooms. “You better unpack your stuff soon. ”,was Jimin’s comment as he dragged the other towards his bed. Jungkook fell onto the unmade bed with a loud thud while Jimin searched through the bags and boxes for his pillow and blanket. “How can a grown ass man be so adorable?” Jimin said to himself while Jungkook curled himself up in his soft blanket.
“ ‘m not cute. You’re the cute one..”, Jungkook mumbled, long after the bedroom door was shut closed and Jimin’s small form disappeared from his sight.

“So to summarize, you realised that the guy who accidentally saw you naked was your long lost childhood friend because he had this one scarf that you gave him when he was like.. ten years old?”
“When he was nine actually, it was his birthday present.”
“When was the last time you guys saw each other?”
“Seven years ago, before his family moved to Busan.”
“Damn.. I’m having goosebumps right now.”
“You should at least pretend to be happy for me, Hobi hyung.”, Jimin said into his phone that was propped up with his pillow. He had called Hoseok immediately when he woke up in the morning, as he figured his hyung would be excited to listen to such good news.
“Of course I’m happy for you silly. It’s just.. you know this -reunion with my best friend- stuff doesn’t happen often, I’m just still in a state of shock that's all.”, the voice coming from the phone was bright, with faint sounds of nature in the background.
“You better get used to it soon ‘cuz I’m planning on introducing you two to each other.”
“Whatever you say buddy. But now that I’m thinking about it, You owe me dinner, Jiminie. For saving you from that asshole AND indirectly helping you reunite with your bestie.
“How ‘bout this Saturday night? I’ll buy you dinner at that Sushi restaurant you loved to nuts.”, Jimin suggested, a plan already forming in his mind.
“OMG YASS!”, his excitement made Jimin laugh cutely and throw himself forward on his pile of pillows. Hoseok was two years older than him but his cheerful and carefree personality made him an easy person to hang out with. Jimin heard someone talking through the phone, but could not quite make out the words. “He’s here?”
“Mmhm, he said good morning.”
“Good morning to you too Prof.”, Jimin replied with a smile. “I should get up now, I have class later.”, and with that they exchanged goodbyes and the call ended.
Hoseok pocketed his phone and went to sit down beside a man that looked a few years older than him. “Jiminie told me about his roommate.”
“From the laughs you guys shared I assume they get along well?”, the man replied. Hoseok hummed as an agreement and stood up to water the plants. “Actually it’s kinda complicated, but long story short they were furious at the beginning but Jimin being the lucky bastard he is realized the kid was his childhood bestie so they reunited and lived happily ever after.”
“Aww, good for him! He must have saved the country or something in his past life to be such a lucky guy. If only I could meet my best friend again too, if that’s possible somehow.”, his voice grew softer as he proceed, the last part was more like a mumble to himself. Hoseok being the sweet and observant person he was, said “Maybe, just maybe, if you wish for it with all your heart, someone might grant your wish for you.”
“If.”
“Aww come on Tae, you know nothing is impossible, now cheer up and go cook me some breakfast, I’m starving.”, Taehyung smiled half-heartedly but quickly shook the mood off and forced his brightest smile, the one that make his mouth a rectangular shape with his coral white teeth on display.
Hoseok, who had his back towards Taehyung and had his attention on a small flower that newly bloomed, did not notice the mood change. He gave a cheery “Okay~” to Tae’s “I’m gonna make pancakes!”
It was later when Hoseok finished his task of watering his precious plants and Taehyung had made pancakes that wasn't burnt as much as his last attempt. They munched on them anyway, regardless of the dark brown prints which indicated that they were overcooked.
“I haven’t had the chance to ask, how was your class yesterday?”, Hoseok asked halfway through the meal.
“Quite good, I might say. I’m teaching the juniors, so it’s all faces that I know. But there’s this... one student, which I believe is one of the freshmen by the way. He entered my class half way through, stared at me, dropped his books and ran away for dear life.”
“That’s... awkward.”
“Hell yes it was. But the thing is, even after he was gone the class just won’t chill.”
“Why?”
“That kid earned himself a fan base in my class, I swear I heard that those girls were planning to hunt him down.”
“He’s good looking?”
“Offensively so. He could have easily become a model, not to mention he was also a fit lad.”
“You sound like one of them, you know?”
“One of who?”
“His fans.”
“Shut your nonsense, I‘m not!”, Taehyung puffed his cheeks and pushed Hoseok playfully. Hoseok, poor boy who was still laughing at his own words was caught off guard. A jar of maple syrup fell and broke, forming a puddle on their white fur carpet.
Hoseok gave Taehyung a glare that said “You better clean it up.” Taehyung rolled his eyes and poked his tongue out, “As if I would ever.”, were the unspoken words portrayed by his body language. Knowing Taehyung, he would actually let the spill stay there until someone else couldn't take it anymore and cleaned it up.
“It’s expensive you know.”, Hoseok said with a pout as he went to wet a cloth. “I can get a box of those maple syrup for you next time.”, Taehyung was a little confused, since when did Hoseok cared about maple syrup? Is it because of the price? But he remembered it’s not even that expensive.
Hoseok froze mid-cleaning and looked up from the mess, “I’m talking about my fur carpet bro.”
…… That explains it. Taehyung laughed nervously and avoided Hoseok’s blazing glare by shoving the rest of the pancakes into his mouth.
“Taehyung-ah, help me put up those brochures on the notice boards around school can you?”, Hoseok called for Taehyung when he was about to leave for work. “Sure.”, he grabbed the stack of papers without question as he already knew what it was for.
“Bye Hobi~”
“Bye~~”

He decided that he liked the sound of leaves crackling under his feet. He was walking in a moderate pace, carefully avoiding any contact with others. No one spared a glance as the black shadow made his way through the crowd, not that he minded.
There were times where he would enjoy the lingering looks he received, it made him felt like he belonged. Others might find it hard to relate, but being a person like him, it felt good to be reminded of his presence. It was those moments that made him feel alive.
However, he was not. He was far from being alive.
So there were also times like this. When he needed to be remind who he really was, what he was here to do. He would hide behind his hat and away from the eyes of the world. He would tell himself over and over again as he did the tasks he was given.
I’m not like them.
He put his hand on his hat as a strangely strong wind blew, taking leaves and small drops of rain along its journey. His feet slowed down as a bus stop came into sight. He was standing far behind, but he had a clear view of the person he wanted to see. It was a girl, a person that was like him, yet different.
I don’t have the lives they have.
He watched with cold eyes as the girl’s expression filled with lost as the time goes by. Once there was a time where he would feel the sadness rushed in his chest when he saw them, the people like him. But now there was nothing, he was a pool of dead water, dark and empty.
Not the memories, not the emotions, the families and friends. I have nothing.
“Can you hear me? Hello?”, the girl walked around trying to gain attention from the bypassers. Not one seemed to sense her presence, as if she was invisible to them. He was about to walk up to her when he saw that she was giving up, but then he stopped. The girl’s eyes were wide with recognition as a hooded man walked towards the bus stop. He stood behind the notice board and watched in silence. It was always easier if they realised the truth themselves.
We don’t belong here, we no longer live.
“Park Jimin!”,the girl called with closed eyes and clenched fists. She knew he won’t hear that she called him without honorifics, yet she hoped he would. In her mind her life was replaying, the faces she met and every moment she builded with them.
But she’s different. She gets to leave.
At least I had the chance to see someone one last time. And with that the girl opened her eyes. She had braced herself yet her tears fall when the man she called glanced towards her direction in confusion before he stepped on the bus along with the other passengers.
And I don’t.
“Lee Ji Su. 21 years old. Cause of death, car accident.”, he read the contents on the card he held with the same monotone voice as he always did. The girl didn't seem surprised by his sudden appearance, she just nodded when he asked “Is that you?”, with a softer voice.
I’m a grim reaper.
He doesn’t know why he does it, but he took out his handkerchief and gave it to the girl so she can wipe her tears. Maybe it was the fact that he felt something he hasn't felt for a long time when he saw what the girl didn’t while she drowned in her tears. The man that she called, Park Jimin, glanced back at the bus stop just as a strong wind blew off his hat.
It was brief, but there was no doubt that their eyes had meet. He doesn’t know why or how, but a strong feeling bloomed in his chest as their eyes met. Maybe it was the sadness in Jimin’s eyes, or maybe he was affected by the girl’s cries, or maybe it was something else entirely. Whatever the reason was, a tear dripped down his face. He wiped his tear away with the back of his hand with misbelief and went to pick up his hat before walking towards the crying girl.
“Drink up, it wipes away your memory.” He said as he passed a small cup of hot tea in front of the girl. She was eyeing the place curiously since she arrived, and now her curiosity landed on the dainty ceramic cup. “What if I don’t want to?” He sighed, there goes his plan to the bookstore.
“Trust me, you don’t want that.” He stopped cleaning the cups and sat down in front of the girl with his own cup of tea instead, hoping that the girl will shut up and drink the tea if he stared hard enough. Apparently it was not working because the girl asked another question after staring at the tea. “What if I don’t want to go there?” She asked while pointing towards the door that led to the afterlife.
“Then you’d be off becoming a ghost.” He doesn’t really understand why he was answering her questions instead of ignoring them as he usually does. It wasn’t until a long time after, a very special someone taught him the emptiness he felt was loneliness. He took another sip of his tea and wrapped his hands around the cup to warm his fingers, patiently waiting for her question to strike.
“What about you?” The girl asked while copying his gestures. “What about me?” He asked back with raising eyebrows, confused by the direction the conversation was turning to. She slowly picked up the cup while looking at him in the eyes, as if she was trying to look through him for his deepest secrets, “What had you done that you are now a grim reaper?”
“They say I’ve done unforgivable sins.”

He was walking out of his office, finally done with his task of sending the girl to where she belonged. The sky was dark with clouds, sunlight barely touching the ground. He wasn’t aware how fast time had gone when he was dealing with her, it looked like heavy rain might pour from the sky any minute now.
He quickened his pace and accidentally kicked a cardboard box but thankfully didn’t trip, and while he was silently cursing someone for leaving rubbish in front of his place he heard a sound. It was barely audible, but it was there. A small whine that sounded like something very much alive. He opened the box to be greeted by a brown cloud of fur.
He looked around for anyone that looked like they might have been the asshole that abandoned their dog here. He gave up his search when he heard another cry from the poor puppy, it looked cold and ill.
“Let’s go home.” He said as he continued his journey back to his dorm, now accompanied with a small smile and a ball of fluff against his chest.
