i think that it's really important how krel faces the majority of human racism during 3Below. he's visibly a latino and has darker skin than aja. krel also has the same quirks as her. but it's her quirks that are seen as cool and his that are seen as weird.
he's also a math genius, and it's constantly called into question how he is doing so well, with the racist man is season one claiming that he cheated solely because 'everyone knows people like him aren't good at math'. even the bounty hunter weaponizes this in the next episode.
there wasn't really a point to this post, but i think that it's really important that in a kid's show, the latino boy is shown to be accused of cheating simply because he doesn't 'look' smart, and the show explicitly calls this attitude out as wrong and does not give it any excuses. and the latino boy is given shades and dimensions to his character and allowed sympathy and rage for his losses. you know, the way all people should be allowed.

I'm sorry but I just do not subscribe to the opinion that the hunger games movies were in any way bad or that they "butchered" the characters or themes that suzanne so meticulously and lovingly created, because a) she was always a constant presence in the creation of those movies and the directors/producers were very respectful and mindful of the differences between her books and what they could actually implement in a visual medium that would make sense and propel the story forward in a way that made sense in their interviews, and b) even though the movies definitely don't show all of the thematic nuances of the books, and although they do gloss over/erase a lot of the ways that the games affect katniss and peeta (namely his disability/her loss of hearing), and while the movies are quite preoccupied with the visual aesthetic and streamlining the story for a wider audience, they do still contain the heart and soul of the books and, to me, the creators seemed fiercely protective of suzanne's core vision. also fuck you they're just amazingly well-shot, well-written, and well-acted films, including the mockingjay movies, and i will die on this hill

honestly i think lauriam —> marluxia is the one nobodyfication i have the hardest time comprehending. like knowing that they’re the same guy just does not click in my brain. like i can look at lauriam and think ‘yeah that’s the guy who becomes marluxia huh’ but it’s so hard to look at marluxia and think ‘man that used to be LAURIAM’. like part of me thinks lauriam just stopped existing outright and maybe part of me almost wishes it was that simple. but no it hurts a lot to remember that that’s what happened to him instead it makes me crazy

Imagine a Hunger Games AU, but the characters are Pokemon as well, and the pokemon have to kill each other in battles on the Arena.

if you ever wanna understand even a fraction of what Jon felt in MAG 91 when Mike Crew put him at terminal velocity you simply have to eat an entire weed cookie on a mostly empty stomach and then sit underneath a ceiling fan on high speed
