Love the fact California is split. Bakersfield is not the worst (I am biased because Dwight Yoakam)
In my opinion: The worst city in Michigan is Grand Rapids, the worst city in Arizona is Tempe, the worst city in Massachusetts is Boston, and the worst city in New York is NYC (this is purely a joke because I have family in all these cities. I actually really love my family)
Socal and NorCal are two different states and there for two different people confirmed. Thank you for map, map is brain fuel

For the cryptid/animal states: Would thou consider the idea of Texas being a bat as part of his cryptid form?
Context: Texas has the "Mexican Free-Tailed Bat" as his state FLYING mammal. I just think that’s pretty cool and goofy (AND I LOVE BATSSSSSSS)
ohhhh a bat would be pretty sick but i ascribe pretty heavily to @/stargazing-zani's cryptid texas (which i drew a while ago) :3
cryptid states rlly allows me to lean a lot into shapeshifting as just a general part of the states so u know what. what if there's multiple cryptid forms. what if we get a hybrid minotaur/bat/armadillo situation goin on. the possibilities r endless man i LOVE cryptid states...

ive always like , sort of pictured cryptid ny as this sort of champy (a cousin of the loch ness monster)/mountain lion hybrid creature BUT upon doing a quick google search to make sure i was thinking of the right lake monster... we r getting rid of the mountain lion part. mountain lion ny is out , beasts of sherman ny is IN!!!

been thinking about. the phrase "place people". i think i will always be a place person. a place people person, you know? i look at this world a little differently now. feel like my heart's been cast out to sea and got caught up on cities thousands of miles away, years away. how can so many places mean so, so much to me when i've never really known anything beyond my little corner of the southwest.
feels a little silly. a little too serious for the series in question. but wttt honestly did really change me in permanent ways and i think im grateful for it. this world means that much more to me now.
