i know it’s been said a thousand times but i’m real tired of fast fashion clothes made out of tissue paper

#ALL OF MY JEANS ARE WEARING OUT AT THE SAME TIME IM IN HELL #literally within the past week. two pairs have worn through in the knee and i ripped the crotch of a third pair #and in the last two months i’ve had to fix two more crotch holes and another knee #they’re probably like. 2-3 years old. still feel new imo #ship of theseus with my pants bc at this point my favorite pants have pocket extensions. two crotch patches. and both knees reinforced #knee holes are my least favorite bc patches look bad #idc about ~visible mending~ bc that’s always aestheticized #embroidery floss might look pretty for your tiktoks but it’s not strong enough for a high stress patch like that #and i don’t have the patience or desire to go back over the structurally sound patch just to make it look ~pretty~#it just ruins the line of the garment. plain blue jeans are CLEAR and anything that draws attention to itself disrupts that #i want actual like. thick denim. impossible to find anymore #i bought a pair of jeans at old navy in like 2015 that i really liked. they just wore out at the knees last summer so i jortsed them #still rly nice and sturdy fabric #two of the pairs i’m complaining about now are also from old navy but like. 2019-2020 #NOTICEABLY different quality. ➳ lucifer watches you hold the spoon near your daughter’s mouth, cooing at her as she takes a bite of the human-world mashed goop. disgusting as the food looks, you and your daughter look quite the opposite, and he can’t help but smile as you gently wipe at her mouth. a fruitless endeavor, to be sure, as your guys’ daughter is one messy eater, but the care and love in your actions warms him all the same. how did he get so lucky to enjoy these moments? surely mundane seeming to some, but to him, they mean the world.

➳ mammon shuts the car door, stretching. man, it is good to be home! but seeing you open the front door, welcoming him in with his daughter on your hip is much better. you wave with a smile, and upon seeing him, your daughter starts to squirm, masking grabby hands in his direction. booking it up to you, mammon takes your daughter, pressing a big kiss on her forehead, then leans in to kiss you. “i missed you,” he says. “both of you.” your daughter squeals happily, tugging on his hair, and mammon lets her, basking in both of your presences.

➳ levi steps outside, on the hunt for you and your son. you’d both disappeared and once checking the house he knew you must be in the yard. the sound of a plastic bat hitting a ball tells him he’s right, and he makes his way around the corner. “how goes it?” he calls, and you look up. you’ve been teaching your son how to play whiffle ball, as he’d expressed interest in joining the neighborhood t-ball team, something levi was content to leave in your hands. as he speaks, your son winds up for another swing, sending the ball bouncing across the grass. you cheer and clap and levi can’t help but cheer too.

➳ satan wakes up the the baby crying, rolling over and out of bed. you’re already up, trying to comfort her, and as he joins you, he hears you singing softly, a nonsense piece that you’ve no doubt made up on the spot. “how long have you been up?” he asks, taking your guys’ daughter from you and holding her close. “i can take it from here, love. go back to bed.” you ignore his words, wrapping your arms around his waist, and he huffs out a laugh. “fine, fine, i’ll take care of you both.”

➳ asmo blinks as he meets your eyes, not expecting to see some very, uh, artistic makeup covering your face. lipstick is smeared across your chin and bright blue glitter is across your cheeks, but as you grin up at him he can’t help but think you’re as attractive as always. “oh, is it makeover time?” he asks mildly. “she takes after me, i guess. an eye for beauty and all.” you laugh, and your daughter runs into the room, beaming proudly. “this was your work?” he asks, scooping her up into his arms. “amazing!” he says as you giggle, and continues to shower her with compliments.

➳ beel wakes up to his bed shaking and looks up to see his son crawling across it. you’re in the doorway, a tray in hands, and beel can smell that it’s breakfast. “good morning, kiddo,” he says sleepily, lifting the blanket so your son can snuggle in next to him. “breakfast in bed? i’m spoiled.” you smile, setting the tray down on the bedside table, and beel can see the misshapen pancake hearts that are no doubt the product of hard work. before you can leave, beel moves the covers again, and you sigh warmly, climbing back into bed as well, your son squished in the middle.

➳ belphie feels a small hand slip into his and looks down. it’s, of course, his daughter, who always insists on holding both of your hands whenever you walk somewhere. you laugh at the familiar action, and he gives you a quelling look. “are you excited to go the park?” he asks your daughter, and she nods excitedly, full of energy. he resigns himself to hours of swing-pushing and tag-playing but consoles himself with the fact that you’ll be there too, even if it is only to take videos while he’s forced to run around and play.

eren jaeger was the one who came up with the idea of watching a horror movie. he’s a simple man. as much as he enjoys horror movies, he enjoys the way you cuddle up to him even more.

armin arlert isn’t particularly fond of scary movies. his preference is psychological thrillers compared to classic horror. he’s not scared, he just finds the themes repetitive. he’ll watch them for you and only for you.

jean kirstein had every intention of putting on a scary movie just so you would cozy up to him. the entire time he’s side-eyeing you, waiting for you to get scared, to need him. eventually you catch his drift and scooch closer to him, not because you’re scared, but because you just want to feel him.

reiner braun isn’t a big fan of scary stuff. contrary to popular belief, he’s kind of a big scaredy cat imo. he dreaded watching the movie when you asked him, but you’re his partner so he said yes. he often closes his eyes, looks away. he absolutely hates blood and guts. he’s happy when it ends.

bertholdt hoover is another man who hates gore. he agrees to watch a horror film with you as long as it doesn’t show anything too extreme. whatever movie you pick, he surprisingly ends up enjoying it and you rope him into watching another.

connie springer doesn’t shut his trap the entire movie but somehow winds up scared. by the end of the night he’s practically in your lap. he then proceeds to talk about how the movie sucked and he wasn’t even scared. he definitely has nightmares after.

porco galliard is somebody who says they love films like these but ends up with sweaty palms half way through. he’s all “the scarier the better” until it’s time for bed and he leaves a light on. he’s glad you’re with him because if you weren’t, he’d be scared shitless.

levi ackerman doesn’t care for scary movies at all which is weird because he really really enjoys halloween and decorating for the holiday. he’s kind of a film bro, very opinionated on all sorts of movies. he prefers the classic scary movies like nightmare on elm street and friday the 13th. he’s kind of silent the entire time it’s playing but he’s happy to be with you. he cherishes these moments even if you pick a shitty movie and he will definitely let you know that you did.

erwin smith is the same as levi in the way that he enjoys the classics BUT he’ll only watch them around halloween time. so come late september and october, you and him will be plopped in front of that tv. he loves laughing at all the terrible acting and bad effects.

zeke jaeger is reluctant when you suggest the idea but he’s easily convinced. surprisingly, he ends up really interested in the plot. but he also asks you one hundred questions which is annoying because you are so scared you can’t even focus on his questions. he knows he’s annoying you so he shuts up and holds you in his big, strong arms.

hange zoe LOVES horror films. loves loves loves. they’re their favorite type of movie. they’ll always suggest putting one on. they live for the blood, the guts, the glory. they love a good monster. and honestly, you love watching them have so much fun. they’ll turn to you like, “oh (y/n)! did you see the way that person spewed blood?? it was so awesome!” they also talk the entire time but because you’re their significant other, you find it endearing.

historia reiss is a little too into the movie. she gets this gleam in her eyes like she’s having the time of her life. she’s always on the edge of her seat, literally. she’ll grab your hands during the really really scary parts. but for the most part, she’s fearless. you and her will split the biggest bowl of popcorn ever.

ymir doesn’t really care for movies, no matter the type. she prefers tv shows because they’re shorter. but if you beg her, she’ll say yes and she’ll buy all the snacks. she ends up laughing for most of the film and it annoys the crap out of you. she’s all “sorry baby you know i love you but this movie is terrible!”

mikasa ackerman knows her movie etiquette. phone on silent and she is silent, too. she flinches here and there but only at the jump scares. she falls asleep right before the end with her head in your lap or on your shoulder.

sasha braus likes watching movies especially with you. i wouldn’t say horror films are her favorite but she definitely enjoys them. she enjoys whipping up some snacks with you and then snacking on them with you during the movie. she’s definitely the type to jump and throw the popcorn in the air. overall, she’s an excellent person to watch a movie with but like mikasa, she ends up falling asleep if you watch them late at night which results in you carrying her to bed.

annie leonhardt picks the movie out. she picks the scariest movie ever but is nearly unphased the entire time. she keeps a kind of neutral expression on her face but she enjoys the shit out of being there with you. she holds you and makes you feel safe. she encourages you to get as close as you need to her.

pieck finger is such a couch potato so of course she says yes when you ask her to watch a scary movie with her. she gets all the blankets, all the snacks and turns out all the lights. she’s so excited to spend time alone with you. she lays down on the couch and you lay sort of on top of her. you both end up falling asleep before it’s over.

imagine seeing your best friends, your found family, your partner(s) sobbing over your dead body while someone you thought you trusted is maniacally laughing at the scene, proud of murdering you

and then imagine the same person lunging for you to try and kill you after he already killed another version of you

and then imagine this

what if he wants to hurt them again? what if he wants to lock them in the attic he claimed to know nothing about in the earlier lessons? what if he feels some strange connection and sense of familarity related to it, some strange invisible force pulling him towards it and making him do the very thing that happens to him in the future?

and then BAM, they get dragged into his mindscape against their will, unsure if they'll make it back out alive, if they make it out at all

as a certified mammon lover ofc i had to put my 2 cents in

i really, really wish we got more moments of him in big brother mode. we know he cares about his brothers and will do any and everything to protect them and give them what they need, even if it means being the butt of every, and i mean every, joke

but i'm also scared that the devs are gonna use this as a way to paint belphie's breakdown on him like they did with levi's, and like they do with literally every other inconvenience or negative incident that happens in the game. every time mammon does something good, every time he tries to help, he still ends up being the butt of the joke. i just hope we can move past that with the end of belphie's breakdown

hello, i’m back, i was just wondering what you think eren said to the others in the paths. we saw armins and mikasas but not the other scouts/warriors. you’re pretty much the only writer on tumblr that doesn’t intimidate me so i asked you 👍 (your wife needs to be tied to a tree)

But this is a really interesting question; I've thought about it a few times, and more along the likes of: "what is the kind of relationship Eren shares with these people?"

(Edit; this became incredibly long 🥲)

I think there are people Eren would and wouldn't have talked to, really. In the latter category falls Levi, imo. But that takes off on another tangent entirely, so for now we'll stick to the rest.

To Reiner, I like to believe Eren would've shown him an alternate reality of what happened in Liberio, perhaps one where he doesn't transform, and instead has a long conversation with him where both of them are offered something akin to "forgiveness" by one another.

These two are parallels to each other in that mutual sense of crippling guilt that came with carrying out the destruction of each other's homelands, not out of hatred, but simply because they needed to do it, in order to achieve something bigger. Reiner, because he wanted to fix his family and become an honorary Marleyan to rid himself of the shame. Eren, because his "peaceful world" for lack of a better word, was turned upside down and trampled upon - though in the end, it was just his selfish and violent nature that set him off on this path. Reiner and Eren understand each other in a way that others don't - neither wanted to do what they did. But they did do it, and that sin will simply be too massive to contain. But Reiner lives despite not wanting to, and Eren dies despite not wanting to, and they are split into two different worlds by the end.

Tl;dr - They talk about how, in another world, where maybe there aren't titans, Eren would've continued to admire Reiner as he did before Trost. And Reiner would cry. End of story.

With Pieck, I hc that the conversation would've been short. Pieck is a very interesting character, imo, because she's literally the most grounded of all the scouts and warriors. She owes no allegiance to Marley, nor Paradis, doesn't have an ulterior motive and is basically stuck watching the doomed world from the ground. There is no solution for her - she as an Eldian will be used by Marley and killed in Paradis - she's literally the only character who understands this from the very beginning. That said, her impression of Eren is, simply put, that of an immature child running riot (incidentally, this is also what Levi probably thinks). If we take into account the fact that her first meeting with Eren was one where she tried to fool him by channelling her (fake) solidarity with Paradis and rejecting her Marleyan upbringing, what lies between these two characters is the anger of being born on different sides of the wall. Eren's actions also resulted in Pieck losing pretty much everybody she knows. As such, I believe what could've transpired between them in the paths, would've been an apology from Eren for destroying Liberio, for killing Udo and Zofia, and telling her maybe, that had these suffocating walls between them never existed, perhaps they would've been peaceful strangers, passing by on the streets now and then.

With Jean and Connie, the conversation would've been very difficult. Sasha. How do you talk about Sasha and forgiveness in the same sentence? So Eren was tortured by his fate, by having to see everything play out as he'd seen it, without any change, and Sasha's death was one of the many terrible consequences - doesn't negate the fact that it still happened only because he "chose" this path. All the people in the 104th truly have an incredibly tight bond - it is what makes it all the more painful knowing that Eren drifted away until he had to be killed by the very same group of people. I like to imagine Jean and Connie beat him up, really. Among the many female characters in SnK, Sasha was someone with an incredibly pure soul - she cared about people and food and fun - and her death was catastrophic. Eren's selfishness caused it, there's no other way to put it. There's also the dynamic between Jean and Eren - that love-hate rivalry that was so sad to see end. And so I want to believe Jean and Connie just keep pummeling him until they're all tired and they stare at the sunset, reminiscing on all the times Eren was a reckless piece of shit.

Falco and Gabi then. The former will honestly carry the guilt of ferrying Mr. Kruger's letters to and fro, during Eren's homeless era. In this respect, I like to think that Eren will tell him not to carry it, to blame it all on him, because he's the one that lied and made him do it. What can possibly be worse than willingly inflicting guilt on a child as young as he once was? Let Eren be cool for once, and offer this reassurance. How Falco deals with it as he grows up, is another story. As for Gabi - the textbook example of brainwashing, she is a splitting image of Eren in so many ways. Eren however, did not allow himself to find the acceptance that Gabi did. And so perhaps what he tells her, is that he's glad. Glad that she joined the alliance to stop him. It's enough that there's one Eren in the world.

Who's left?

Ah. Annie.

This is honestly very interesting to me because, first of all, I just know that the minute Eren opens his mouth in Paths, Annie's knee is going to dislocate his jaw. She has not one iota of sympathy for this pathetic loser causing so much trouble, making her fight when she didn't want to, but because he dragged his dearest friend (and her future husband ffs) into the chaos. He wasn't. Letting. Her. Be. In. Peace. Oh she's going to snap a few bones and put them in a blender, I know it, I know it!

But jokes aside! Annie and Eren are also, a bit similar in some respects. Both are selfish, incredibly so, it's only that their end goals are vastly different in scale. At the same time, they are also both people who care for their loved ones, even if they don't openly show it. They see themselves as monsters, but are loved by the people around them nevertheless. Annie never really had anything like a real childhood, and the concept of having friends was something unnecessary and foreign in her terrible upbringing. I really think that it was only in Paradis that she found comfort, some warmth, what food tastes like when shared with people that treated her more or less the same as anybody else, and so learned to open up (very slightly). But still having a wall around her to keep potential threats at bay and to conserve her energy, it must've felt quite special when Eren appreciated her fighting skills and even took them to heart, making an effort to learn for himself. At a time when she probably prided herself on her strength and fighting prowess alone and nothing else, that could've been incredibly validating.

She didn't hate Eren. She thought of him as a moron, but she didn't hate him. She didn't really hate anybody, the way Eren also never "truly" hated anybody. They were just forced at each other's throats by his choice. We have to remember that Eren also didn't find it easy to accept that Annie was the FT. He did really look up to her and admire her.

I like to think he understood her dedication to sticking to her mission, not as being loyal to Marley, but for a reason more personal (not sure if he could've known about her father, post gaining his future memories..?) and that, that in itself, isn't wrong. Eren's selfishness also stems from an incredibly personal desire after all.

So what would they talk about? Maybe he'd tell her she should continue to be selfish. Because her desires, unlike his own, are harmless. And also drop hints about how his, um, his best friend Armin, is very smart and also very hot and maybe she'd like to... Um... Idk? <3

Whew 🥲

Edit2: I forgot Historia. Idk, considering she'd just given birth and was probably conked out with exhaustion, it's nice to think he'd have just watched her holding her baby, sadly, whispered "You're free" and then disappeared.

-> criticized the birthday events being dropped but it not being announced in anyway; it's understandable that they would be dropped eventually given the cast size, but a prior announcement would have been great -> communication in general is really good though + it's done in a fun way (i.e. letting the characters make the announcements)

-> difficulty curve is way too high which also caused a lot of people to drop the game

-> imo the events follow to quickly after one another & I'm starting to get burnt out from them; making the time in between events a little longer by a few days might help

Imagine if MC just. Doesn't shut up for long. When they're doing anything (homework, reading manga, scrolling through Tumblr, etc)

Chilling with any of the brothers, and after a bit of silence, Mc just randomly quietly trills or is like "ah✨wow✨" for no reason

Or doing homework and just quietly sings completely random or out of order song lyrics / completely different songs ("myyyy mother tollld Mee someday I will buyyy, gallyyy with good oooars, sail to distant shoores. ✨Eyyy macarena✨")

or reading the homework aloud w/ their own thoughts (my favorite example is "the lovesong of fuck you" which I said while looking for an English story I did not care about bc the assignment had references to like 5 of the stories from the unit)

Random sound effects while gaming with Levi ("pew :> pew :>" while shooting something, "die please" during boss fights, "slash slash :> slishy slash :>" when fighting w/ a sword, etc)

I must be a toxic bitch myself because imo Jonathan did nothing wrong 😭 (up until the last episode ofc). Mira however triggered the hell outta me. Her behavior and attitude about their relationship made me cringe so hard, I have very little sympathy for her honestly. My heart breaks for Jonathan. He’s so giving and self sacrificing and I never felt like he held resentment towards her despite how frequently she acted out of selfishness, he kept trying to make it work and then the second he decided to put himself first, she reacted atrociously (like abusers do). It totally makes sense why they'd want to transform into the contestant. But, what's really got me curious is about Daan as the doppelganger. What kind of ideal could he represent? What could he become?

Thinking up a Daan doppelganger within my guidelines of "the ideal version of them according to the people in their lives" I kept coming back to the idea of him being a bunnymask. His entire life and all the connections he ever had were all built on the grounds of his connection to Sylvian. His parents wanted him to be a bunnymask, the Von Dutch's took him in because of his time with bunnymasks, there is not a single thing in Daan's life that cannot be traced back to Sylvian this fact makes me insane.

So I think doppelganger Daan would be an open Sylvian cultist actively trying to lure people into doing rituals with him, kind of like a siren, very flirty and debauch with no coyness or intellectual front. Basically just a sex object. The way I'd present this would be based on what I think would torment Daan the most to see so I don't think he would be naked he would be wearing the same clothes (maybe he could have a mask still). From Pocketcat we can see Daan has a pretty shaky sense of identity already so seeing something that looks like him thats dressed up as him that says its him and that he's like this would hurt him the most imo.

I brought this idea to the council (my discord friends) and was given this to imagine and share as being the vibe of doppelganger Daan.

OHHHH do you think he was aware of that before Kenny asked him? Like, did he consciously seek out to become a hero of sorts? Was it because of his own nature? Because that’s what Erwin/society/survey corps expected or asked of him?

Does he even feel comfortable with the idea of being perceived as such? I think his first appearance (Anime S1E4) he says something along the lines of “how annoying” when they’re riding down the street and people are (understandably) gushing over him

firstly i feel the need to say that it's not a bad thing to be a slave in aot, because as Kenny says, without being "enslaved" to something, no one would would have a cause to keep going.

from that same magazine issue, it's also said that at this point in the story, Levi feels obligated to be a hero. perhaps related to the fact that the SC has fought people now, not just titans, and considering like the citizens Levi (inadvertently) helped in trost, and the collective support of the populace after taking down the old government, he can't simply call titans eyesores and fight for humanity to breathe in the winds of freedom, and call that his duty. he can't deny that people look up to him now; it goes beyond his comrades.

(this is much more tangible when the SC starts really fighting people after the truth is discovered.)

it doesn't ring true to me for Levi to consciously seek out becoming a hero, known for protecting others, and even being okay with the notoriety that comes with that. fighting for freedom, and protecting others from the horror of the titans seems to be what a hero would do, and the rest fell into his lap. in influencing his choice to "become a hero", Levi wouldn't have cared about what society wants from him, or even the SC atp. really all the SC had done for him was bully him lol. i think his "nature" if you mean being an Ackerman? - falls to his desire to be Erwin's "guard". Erwin did absolutely ask him to fight, but the choice Levi made to do so was all his own judgment. freedom is what he wants for himself, his friends, and as such everyone else as a whole, but i don't think Levi would've fought at all if he considered it to be impossible, and from his point of view, without Erwin it wouldn't have been. this is proven considering his choice in RtS.

to explain only in very relevant terms, during that, Levi fully embraces his title as a hero when he chooses to believe in Erwin/Armin's dream. not just freedom, but a world of peace without walls. before that, it had always been making Erwin's / the SC's dream come true for him.

but i think the difference between before and after comprehending that he's a slave is just that: accepting it.

w/ that line in the anime, i think he found it annoying in 2 different ways. it's not that he doesn't want to be a hero for sure, but yes perhaps being comprehended as one is bothersome. on one part, because Levi doesn't feel worthy of such things. he doesn't like to be called kind in blatant terms (if i can elude to another smartpass story lol), probably because it's embarrassing but mostly because he can't see himself as such unconditionally.

and it's hard to blame him for that imo; Levi has always been willing to hurt others either to survive, or to do what he sees as the right thing. he however can't appreciate his own good deeds for what they are, but which arguably is another mark of a hero.

before Levi joined the SC, i don't think he even knew what he wanted. Kenny was the one that imbued in him an obligation to survive, and along the way Levi wanted Isabel and Farlan to survive, that's it. we know Levi didn't even comprehend what was out there until he first left the walls.

tldr, as a relevant song would lead us to believe, Levi believes that what oasis people see in him, is a mirage.
