Something in the air told him change was coming.
It unsettled him, the idea of not knowing what was to come in this new chapter of his life. How could the tides shift and the seasons change so effortlessly while his tortured mind remained in the past? How could he be expected to turn the page when there was still so much he didn't understand?
Levi Ackerman didn't fear many things in life, but change terrified him. He wasn't ready for it, at least he didn't think so. The world's orbit seemed to speed up just enough to leave him behind, alone and abandoned. He couldn't keep up, couldn't keep a steady enough pace to remain one with the times.
He was falling behind and didn't know how to cope with the fact. Humanity's Strongest had withered away the second war was no more and Levi Ackerman didn't know how to pick up the pieces, didn't know how to move on now that he no longer bore a soldier's purpose over his shoulders.
He was nothing but a hopeless man, aimlessly stumbling through this life, yet something bloomed within him now that his nights were spent by your side. Indeed, he was hopeless— hopelessly in love and devastated by the fact. How terrifying, to get lost in the warmth of your touch and seek refuge under your sweet embrace— to slink away from the world to satisfy his greedy desires of basking in your love.
You'd created something in him, something so beautiful it chilled his blood in fear. How exciting; how terrifying.
Thunder rumbled in the distance, the warm painting of an afternoon sky slowly being consumed by the rolling of darkened clouds. Levi sighed, nursing a cup of tea in one hand while the other absent-mindedly traced patterns over the arm of his chair. His healing leg bounced over the wooden porch floors, almost impatiently.
Sitting idly always made him anxious. Though he always appreciated being able to savor his alone time, he often found himself seeking comfort in your presence. He'd picked up little habits that reassured him everything was okay— that you were okay. Holding your hand would subtly turn into his fingers sliding over your wrist, searching for your steady pulse. Caressing your cheeks allowed him to be close enough to feel your breath fanning over his skin, easing his nerves. He shyly started offering to bathe together, taking the opportunity to look over you, easing his mind with the knowledge that the scars on your skin were slowly fading with the passage of time.
The war hadn't taken you from him, yet he feared you'd vanish if he dared look away.
Music streamed from within the house, a melody you had claimed to be your favorite the moment you heard it on the radio. He had to admit, he liked it too, the familiarity of it enough to distract his racing mind. If he listened closely enough, he could make out the sound of your voice softly following the words to the song. The corners of his lips quirked into a tiny smile.
Love had made him soft.
Levi waited for you to join him on the porch, the tea in his hand now lukewarm. He cringed. He never liked the taste of cold tea.
A puff of air rushed past his lips as the sky opened up its gates, allowing for the land to be cleansed with a fresh wave of rain. He hummed nonchalantly. He never cared much for the rain, always despising how his shoes would sink into thick puddles of mud in the aftermath.
What a bother, he thought as a chilling breeze nipped at his skin and tousled his hair.
The former captain perked up at the sound of footsteps, relief pooling his chest. You'd finally decided to join him. As the door swung open, he turned in his chair to greet you but wouldn't get the chance to as you sped past him, leaping off the steps of the porch and into the rain.
A breathy laugh spilled out of your mouth, something beautiful and free."This is so nice!" You beamed, spreading your arms wide as the rain soaked your clothes. Wonder twinkled brilliantly in your eyes, your grin a wild thing that made your lover's chest ache.
He wondered, had your smile always been this big? No, he doesn't think so. Something was different— it felt new. A quick tug to his heartstrings had his mismatched eyes following you attentively. He could feel it in his bones, dripping down his stomach, pooling around his toes. Today's different.
Levi gaped at you, shaking his head. "Get out of the rain," he urged, wheeling his chair close to the porch railing. "You'll get sick."
He remembered having this conversation with you years before, both of you clad in torn uniforms, brandishing green cloaks, and worn-out boots. The scene was all too familiar, but your laughter was now wild, void of shame. Too many were the times he had to usher you back into the barracks, scolding you for being so careless. He could no longer count how many times he'd had to rush out of his office to drag you away from the ruthless downpour of a storm, nearly having to toss you over his shoulder to get you somewhere dry. You always said there was something about the rain that made you feel brand new. He always said you were crazy. But he couldn't say no to you now, not when something devilish and daring lingered in your gaze.
You merely turned to him, sticking out your tongue in retaliation. He scoffed.
Thunder roared a little closer now, and your smile only widened. You hollered in response, and your arms stretched up to the heavens. Oh, how sweet the taste of freedom, so fierce and lively.
"C'mon," Levi called after you, setting down his cup of tea. "It'll only get colder." He could already feel a chill crawling up his spine. Perhaps he should be seeking some towels to wrap you in— some warm blankets, too.
Instead of heeding his wishes, you ran further into the growing storm, your boots splashing into every puddle your feet stumbled upon. Mud splattered onto your ankles, tainting the dress that fell just past your knees. You jumped and twirled, laughter spilling past your lips with a joy so raw it seeped into your lover's ears like a sacred melody.
"Wait," He shouted as lightning struck, his heart pounding in his chest. Flashes of white and blue cut through the sky, their impact booming through the air. "Don't go too far!"
But you couldn't hear him anymore. You danced with the wildflowers, bending to the wind, each stomp and clap in rhythm with the crack of thunder. The drumming of rain kept the pace of your beating heart, so full of life and renewal. The heavens were the musicians and you, their valiant performer.
And Levi couldn't just sit by. No, because as lightning sparked through the heavens and the wind bit his nose with a chill, his heart only ached for you. Mismatched hues followed your every move, a pang of longing knocking on his chest.
Wherever you were, he was never too far behind.
"Damn it," he cursed. There was no time to go searching for his cane, the forsaken thing collecting dust in the back of his closet. With whatever strength he had within him, he latched onto the wooden railing before him and began pulling himself off his chair, his limbs protesting at the effort.
The former captain stumbled down the steps, his footing unsure, uneven. The aches in his leg scurried away as he stood a bit taller. Renewed confidence filled each stride once his feet landed on soppy mud. A new chill settled in his bones, something foreign and exciting.
"Come back!" He shouted, yet found himself going after you before he could think twice, his limp carrying him as best as it could. He felt like a madman chasing after falling stars. "Damn it, wait up!"
As if the wind had carried his voice to you like a sweet melody, you turned, a new giddy feeling tickling your heart as he slowly stumbled towards you. Something electric coursed through your veins, sweet and addicting. You laughed and cheered, kicking up more mud with every hop of excitement. Pride swelled in your chest at the sight of him, your heart threatening to chase after your lover.
A clap of thunder broke through the steady drumming of rain, almost as if urging Levi to keep going— he needed to reach you. His legs moved clumsily, the gap between you growing smaller. His hair stuck to his face in a sloppy mess, his clothes clinging to his healing body. Tints of pink dusted his scarred cheeks, nearly stinging his skin as the wind whispered sweet nothings into his ear. And though his bones whined and protested, the wages of war clear on his skin, he felt stronger than he had in a while.
"I'm coming!" Your voice rang through the air, almost as loudly as the chorus of booming thunder that followed.
And you ran to him.
A tug in his heart propelled him forward until he couldn't anymore. He tripped over his footing, his knee giving out and letting him meet the ground. And for once, he didn't care about the dirt under his nails or the horrendous state his clothing was in. Levi let himself get pulled to the dirt by the wind, his back to the ground. Facing up at the sky, he reveled in how the rain kissed his skin.
He's never felt more free.
How unusual, the feeling bubbling in his chest, a crazed little thing that pulled his lips into a smile. As a kid, he always dreamed of the sun, of feeling its warmth sink into his bones and fill his belly. He nearly laughed. How strange to find comfort in a raging storm.
You came like a dream. The dress hugging your body spread around your legs like a flower in bloom as you plopped down in the mud. Cold hands cupped the sides of his face tenderly, and he instinctively leaned into your touch. Cradling his head, setting it over your lap, you brushed his hair out of the way. Was he aware of how beautiful he was? A smile graced your lips, amusement clear in your eyes as he gaped at you, like a man drunk on stardust and hope.
The storm felt so far away now, though Levi was sure it had grown exponentially. But he couldn't focus on that. No, he was too enraptured by the sight of you to worry about such a thing. You, who kissed his scars each night, mapping them out like uncharted constellations. You, who thought his eyes were the most lovely combination of jewels. You, who now laughed so freely it made his heart stutter. He couldn't be any more in love.
"I love you," he breathed, unsure if you'd heard him. A trembling hand, gentle and cautious, reached up to you, wiping away the mud sprinkled on your cheek. His words came in a choked breath, scarred lips quivering under the weight of such sweet emotion, "I love you so damn much."
Something sweet bloomed in his chest, foreign yet familiar in a way he couldn't quite understand.
Even under the rain, Levi could see the tears swelling in the corners of your eyes, your smile so bright and warm. Butterflies fluttered in his stomach. How had he managed to find such love? By no means did the odds ever feel to be in his favor, but perhaps the moon and the stars had conspired on his behalf, shifting the tides so that, at the end of it all, it would be you and him.
It didn't make any sense; there was no way for him to understand it. The mystery of this love was too big, but he stopped questioning things long ago. He stopped believing in coincidences. Some things, no matter how impossible they seemed, were meant to be. Like the way your hand perfectly fits in his or how his name resembles the songs of angels when spoken by your lips.
He never thought this life would ever be kind to him. Levi had only known hardship for so long; he'd learned to wear his grief and anger like a second skin. But the way you smiled at him, the way you held him as if he would shatter under your touch— it all made him think that maybe life had some hidden jewels waiting for him to uncover.
"You make this life a whole lot less shitty," His voice came in a hush, raw and flooding with emotion. Stormy eyes fluttered as you caressed his cheeks so tenderly, so gently he felt his chest tighten in an achingly beautiful way. "Thank you."
You smiled, choking on a tearful laugh. Levi seemed lighter. The sharpness of his eyes had softened with time, his infamous scowl slowly replaced by a small smile. His shoulders sagged, no longer tight under a soldier's promise of bloodshed. His knuckles no longer strained around the hilt of a sword but caressed the apples of your cheeks with sweet reverence.
He wore freedom beautifully.
"My sweet love," you mused, your voice like honey to his wounds, balming over the ghosts of battles past. "Thank you for staying."
A breath, sharp and unsteady, rushed past his lips, his chest caving in under the weight of raw emotion. His eyes widened, something new glossing over them. The man cradled in your touch crumbled, his lips quivering as he surrendered himself to the vastness of your love. A broken cry tore through his chest, his breaths uneven as he hiccuped.
He didn't think himself worthy— never believed it should’ve been him who rose with the sun each morning, basking in the warmth of a life others never had a chance to experience. A man forged by the wages of war had no right to savor the sweetness of this life, to have his wounds cleansed by the downpour of the heavens. Sometimes, his mind would drift off, and he'd wonder what this newfound freedom would've been for you had you not been held back by the prospect of nurturing him back to health. Would you have left? If things were different, would you have parted ways? His stomach overflowed with dread at such thoughts. He sometimes wished he'd been pulled into the cold clutches of eternal slumber, to have been whisked away into an abyss he could never escape from. Maybe then you wouldn't be burdened with the cards he'd been dealt with. Yet through his doubt, through his fears, your voice echoed in his heart, offering tender reassurance.
Thank you for staying. His heart ached, overwhelming him with tears he couldn’t seem to restrain. His scarred hand clung to yours tightly, almost as if your touch alone tethered him to this life. What had you done to him? How could you devastate his heart with such sweet love?
Your eyes softened as he cried. Softly, your free hand worked to brush strands of ink away from his face. The man before you was no longer the deadly soldier many feared; he'd retired his blades long ago. The man before you had been in hiding for far too long, holding himself together for longer than should've been asked of him.
Your lover was gentle and kind, and he feared what the future held. He hated not knowing what the sun would bring with its rising and falling— hated feeling uncertain of what his days would look like. But it all seemed a bit clearer now, a bit less fearsome. Something new glimmered in his eyes as his cries boomed louder than the crack of thunder.
Hope.
Change was in the air. He could feel it in his lungs, feel it in the soft breath that carried your words straight to his heart. It crackled all around him, loud, wild, and full of anticipation. It sent shivers down his spine.
Indeed, change was in the air, and, for once, Levi would beg the heavens for a million tomorrows if it meant he could live them all with you.

The Best-Kept Secrets - Levi Ackerman x Female Reader
You two struggle to rein in your breath as you hide side by side behind a wall of a brick and mortar building in an alleyway.
“Captain, quick! Kiss me!”
“What? Are you out of your goddamn mind?”
“No, just trust me,” you urge in between clenched teeth as you take off both yours and his Scouts cloaks. You throw them into a nearby barrel. Captain Levi looks at you like you have snakes slithering out of your ears.
When he doesn’t respond, you take the initiative and switch positions with him so it’s you who is closest to the alley. After all, they’re after the Captain, not you. Your spine presses against the cold structure further as you hear a crowd of footsteps fastly approaching.
“Kenny’s men, they’re coming,” you whisper. “Trust me.”
Briskly, he turns towards you. His hand reaches out to grab your waist and pushes your lips to his. Your eyes immediately close as the warmth of his mouth overtakes everything in that moment. Your arms wrap around his neck and fall off his back to try and cover his identifying factors as much as possible.
Your tongue brushes along his bottom lip. You want this to be as passionate and uncomfortable for others as possible so people don’t look your way. His mouth immediately opens to let you in. The kiss deepens further when your tongues slip against one another’s. It feels so euphoric. And he tastes warm, if that was even a sufficient way of describing it.
His hand reaches up to stroke your cheek with his thumb. His other fingers caress the hair located at the base of your skull. In between kisses, he lets out the quietest gasps, as if he’s struggling for air and forgetting to breathe. His other hand retracts into a fist of your clothing at your waist. He pushes you up gently against the wall and pulls you in closer to him, if that was even possible. Your hips connect.
The stampede of footsteps approach and pass as quickly as they come.
“Goddammit, where did they go?”
“I don’t know, just keep looking!”
Eventually, the voices disappear into the distance. It’s evident that you two are in the clear, but neither of you stop what you’re doing. The kiss continues. When his lips make a lazy trail down to your collarbones, you run a hand through his hair.
Then it hits you that you two are in a very public place and anyone can come across you at any time. Like Section Commander Hange or another soldier. They’ll misread the situation and Captain Levi will most likely get into a massive amount of trouble, even though this was your idea and yours alone.
“Captain,” you breathe out, lightly tapping his shoulder. “Captain. I… I think they’re gone.”
He immediately pulls away and peers his head into the alleyway. He looks both ways and you utilize this moment to compose yourself. You brush off your uniform and neaten it where needed. You run your hands through your hair to straighten it. He turns to you again. He looks completely unfazed, aside from the redness and puffiness of his lips.
“Looks like it worked,” he murmurs. “Nobody knows about this. Understand?”
“Understood.”
* * *
That night, you have a hard time keeping your thoughts reined in. You struggle to go to sleep. You toss back and forth for hours as you recollect the kiss between you and your superior. Butterflies erupt in your stomach when you picture his hands on your waist, how smooth his tongue was, how calm and calculated his actions were.
You’ve known the man for years, but… it feels like the energy has shifted between you two. At least on your end. The rest of the mission felt awkward. He was strangely protective over you and you didn’t leave his sight. He killed any of Kenny’s men who posed the slightest threat to you. And, worst part is, he did it without thinking. You prayed that none of your fellow soldiers picked up on these things.
As you relive the scene over and over again in your mind, you remember a detail that you missed in that moment: when he pushed you up against the wall… you felt something hard on your leg. Could it… have been him? No. No, the Captain doesn’t see you that way. You two are just soldiers fighting for humanity together. Nothing more, nothing less.
Still… you cannot deny how the thought of it all excites you.
Your bunk suddenly becomes stifling. You rip the covers off you and swing your legs over the edge of the bed. You dress warmly and sneak out of your sleeping quarters. You tiptoe past everyone and make your way up on the roof of HQ.
When you open the door, you’re immediately greeted with the moon shining brilliantly above you and cold winter air. It’s all so cleansing. You take a deep breath and let out a sigh. Here, it feels like time stops, like the world doesn’t even exist. Just you.
Your heart drops when you see a familiar figure with an undercut sitting at the edge. A battle ensues in your mind. Captain Levi finding you up here could result in disciplinary action being taken upon you. On the other hand… it looks like he can’t sleep either and might need someone to talk to.
After careful consideration of the risks, you decide to approach him slowly. Your footsteps are so hushed, you’re sure he can’t hear you. When you’re only a few feet away, you speak.
“Captain?”
He doesn’t bother turning around. He doesn’t say anything at all. You bite the inside of your lip.
You speak again, “Can I sit, sir?”
“Yes.”
You kneel down and sit, swinging your legs off the edge of the HQ roof with him. You two are quiet. The silence is deafening.
“What’re you doing out here?” he asks, turning to you.
“If I tell you, will I get in trouble?”
“Hm. I suppose I can keep another thing just between us.”
You let out a chuckle.
“When I can’t sleep, this is my favorite spot to be,” you explain. “It doesn’t happen often, but… it happens sometimes. What about you? Can’t sleep, either?”
“I come here when I have lots to contemplate.”
“I imagine that’s often.”
“Uh-huh.”
You and Captain Levi both look up at the full moon hanging high in the sky. Your mind races, playing through various scenarios of things you want to say to him. It’s not long before he breaks the silence.
“I want to talk about that kiss today. To make sure we’re on the same page about things.”
“Oh, sure,” your stomach churns with nervousness. “I’m listening.”
“I…” he sighs, running a hand through his hair, a gesture you’ve never seen him do before. “I want to apologize. I got too wrapped up in it and… I sincerely hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable.”
“No. No, I wasn’t uncomfortable at all! If anything, I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable. I mean, it was my idea.”
“It was an unconventional one, to say the least, but it worked.”
“Glad it did.”
“And you didn’t make me uncomfortable. In fact, I…”
He lets out another heavy sigh and pinches the bridge of his nose with his fingers. He says your name.
“If I tell you something, do you promise not to repeat it?”
“Well…” you begin to mock him. “I suppose I can keep another thing just between us…”
A slight smile pulls at the edges of his lips. You smile at him.
“I…” he starts. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Because that was my first kiss.”
“Wait, what?”
“And, fuck… I… I think I feel something more for you. More than just soldiers fighting alongside one another. I have for… a while, now.”
You feel frozen in place. Your breathing even stops as you stare ahead at the expanse of the sleeping city with wide eyes. You feel his eyes bore into yours, trying to get a clue as to what you’re thinking. Most times, Captain Levi is stoic, even in the most tense and challenging situations. Seeing him like this is… jarring.
But deep down, you know the feeling is mutual.
He nearly pleads, “Say something.”
“I’m sorry, I’m… okay. I have been thinking about it quite a bit, too… and I would be lying if I said that I didn’t feel something during that kiss.”
Captain Levi pushes, “Okay…?”
“It awoken something in me, that kiss. And… I think I want to do it again.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
“What’re you waiting for then, brat?”
Your head turns towards him and you lean over onto him. Your lips brush up against his and you hear Captain Levi’s breath hitch in his throat. He closes the space and kisses you with eagerness. Once again, his hands cup your face gently and his thumbs make back-and-forth motions on the apples of your cheeks.
You get high off this kiss. Everything feels euphoric, now that you know you both desire one another in a way that’s more than professional. The cold air on your skin feels tingly and all you can think about is how perfectly his mouth moves on yours.
He pulls away and looks at you with slightly widened eyes.
“What happens now?” you question.
“We’ll figure it out.”

Let's talk about Levi and how when you two are dating, his sex drive is crazy, he will have you anywhere. Literally anywhere. He doesn't care about how risky it is. You two have probably fucked in every room in the headquarters, even in the commander's office once. However never in the supply closet where you find yourself currently as Levi's lips suck at your neck while he thrusts into you. You're sitting on one of the wooden crates, Levi between your open thighs. You can hear the others outside.
"Levi someone will hear.." You whine but he only slaps a hand over your mouth, cock pounding into you faster, deeper. He holds your hands behind your back. "Do I look like I fucking care about the others?" He said slapping your ass with his free hand and making you moan against his hand. "Or are you embarrassed that you enjoy getting fucked by your captain?" He lets go of your mouth to wrap his fingers around your neck, his thumb sneaks past your lips and you suck on it. "Mhhh good girl." Your pussy clenches around his cock, Levi grunts at how good you feel. You wrap your legs around his hips and he plunges deeper into, that's all it takes for you both to cum.
(Special thanks to @luvjiro who helped me decide on what to publish hehe)

Levi limped through the house looking for you. He wanted your love and affection, he needed your attention and desired your lips on his. He smiled when he heard you softly singing under your breath. He hurried along to the bedroom to see you putting away freshly cleaned clothes.
He stood in the doorway and felt a bit nervous asking for your attention, but he really craved it. Levi was very serious about you and his feelings for you. He'd hired you to help him in his small teashop and he'd fallen hard for you. He loved you deeply and the two of you moved fast in your relationship. Now, you were a month away from getting married.
"Love?"
You lifted up the last few clothes off the bed and smiled at Levi. "Hello, sweetie. Is everything okay?"
He shuffled over to you. "No."
You put the clothes away and turned to Levi. "No?"
He pouted. "No."
You reached over and played with his soft hair. "No? What's wrong?"
He lowered his head. "I missed you."
You hummed a laugh. "Bless you." You hugged Levi against your body. "You can come to me whenever you want. I'm always here for you."
"I um...I would like kisses."
You pulled Levi to the bed. "Let's get you off your feet then." You helped Levi onto the bed and pulled his slippers off. "Get comfy."
He wiggled in place and hummed. "Yes."
You climbed up and sat on his right side. "I love you."
Levi blushed at your words. "I love you too."
You cuddled up to Levi and captured his lips in a loving kiss. You rubbed his chest and smiled against his scarred lips. You softly kissed him again before nipping his lip and pushing your tongue into his mouth. You smiled when Levi sighed happily as your tongues moved together. You thought Levi was perfection, he was so soft, gentle and loving with you.
Levi wrapped both his arms around you and dragged you close to him. He sighed through his nose as he felt happy at having all your attention again. He squeezed you in delight as your scent washed over him. He was deeply in love with you and happy beyond words at being able to kiss you like this and hold you.
You pulled back a little and sighed. "Better?"
He whined a bit. "More, please?" Levi reached over and massaged your thigh with his left hand. "Only if you want to."
You caressed his cheek. "You're so sweet." You kissed Levi again and felt so happy.
Levi was so kind and sweet with you. He would ask for consent on every little thing, including just touching you or hugging you. You knew that Levi grew up around sex workers and saw how men could be with women. Levi wanted to do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. He was a pure and wonderful gentleman.
Levi pulled from your lips and panted. "C-Can I touch you?"
You kissed under his eye making him hum. "Yes. Can I touch you?"
He nodded shyly. "Please."
You unbuckled his belt and undid his trousers. You pushed your hand into his boxers and smiled as Levi let out a little whimper as soon as you touched him. You pulled his erection out of his boxers and trousers. You moved your hand up and down his thick member and smiled at his pink tip.
You kissed Levi's neck and smiled. "You're perfect."
Levi slid his left hand under your dress and pushed down into your underwear. "You're more perfect. I'm covered in scars and I'm full of faults."
You panted against his skin as he caressed you and parted your folds and coated his fingers in your arousal. You shivered as his fingers dragged up and moved against your clit. "Levi, you are precious to me. You have a big heart and a pure soul. You are the sweetest man I've ever known. I love you."
Levi grunted as your hand moved on him. He welled up a little at your words, you were always so loving and kind to him. You always showered him with love. He nuzzled your neck and sighed. "I love you too. You give me strength. You make me feel like a better man."
You kissed Levi and smiled at him. "You're better than you think."
He purred at you. "So are you. You're a Goddess."
You shivered as your coil tightened up. "I adore you, Levi." You moaned against his lips. "I can't wait to be Mrs Ackerman. You'll be all mine."
Levi chuckled. "Actually, you'll be mine." He moved his fingers a little faster on your clit. "All mine, no one else's."
You squeezed your toes. "Mm. Yes, Levi, all yours."
He nibbled the crook of your neck as he bucked a little into your hand. Your hand felt so perfect on his cock. Your hand was so soft and warm. You caressed him so perfectly making him feel like he was in pure heaven. He loved every inch of you and felt bliss whenever you touched him.
You tangled your fingers in Levi's hair and tugged. "A-Ah, mmm."
Levi licked your neck. "Cum for me. You're so pretty when you do."
You gasped and hugged Levi as you came against his fingers. "Mm, Levi."
Levi caressed your back with his right hand. "Good girl."
You pulled back and blushed. "Want to keep going?"
Levi blushed. "Y-Yes."
You slipped off the bed and removed everything but your bra. You climbed back up and straddled Levi. "Do you want your trousers off?"
He massaged your buttcheek. "Please. Oh, but my knee looks bad."
You kissed Levi lightly on the lips. "You're beautiful." You shuffled down the bed as you slowly pulled his trousers off. You leaned down and kissed his knee and thigh that was dotted with scars. "Beautiful."
Levi blushed. "Th-Thank you."
You slid up the bed and unbuttoned his shirt. "I will keep telling you that you are wonderful." You pushed his shirt open and caressed his muscles. "I deeply love you just the way you are."
Levi held your hips. "Thank you for loving me."
You knelt up a bit. "Thank you for loving me."
Levi moaned as you sank down on him. He shivered in delight and hummed a moment. He ran his hands up your body to your waist. "How can I not love you? You are magnificent."
You rolled your hips against Levi and lightly kissed his lips. You pushed your tongue into his mouth and hummed in happiness. You wrapped your arms around Levi and moved against him. You sighed in contentment at feeling his thick cock pressing your pussy in all the right places. He caressed the deepest parts of you.
Levi gripped your thighs and started pumping his cock up into you. He moaned against your lips as your walls massaged him and squeezed. He grunted as you rode him a little faster. He moved one hand to your front and began rolling your clit against his fingers. He smiled when you clenched him tightly.
You tapped your forehead against Levi's and smiled at him as you felt your coil tighten. "I love you." You crashed your lips against his. "I love you so much."
Levi mewled at you. "I love you too. My love, my darling, my everything."
You whimpered a little. "Levi."
"Let go, my love." He smiled. "Cum for me."
You hugged Levi's face against your breasts as you moved a little faster. You cried out as you felt the snap of pleasure burn through you. You bucked roughly against Levi as your orgasm burned through you. You relaxed a little as the orgasm became a gentle trickle going through you.
You sat on Levi and hummed. "Levi. I want you to cum. I'll keep going."
Levi blushed. "I want to be on top."
You rubbed Levi's upper arms. "Is your knee okay enough?"
He nodded. "Yes. I want this."
You pulled off Levi and lay back on the bed. "Okay. I'm ready."
Levi rolled over onto you and leaned on his okay knee. He leaned on his forearms on either side of your head and smiled at you. "Could you help?"
You nodded and pressed him back into you. You both sighed happily as he stretched you again. "Mm."
Levi kissed you. "Thank you."
You rubbed his back. "Slowly, okay?"
He nodded and grinded into you making you moan. "I've done this a few times. I can do it again." He purred at you. "I want to make love to you." He moved a little faster. "I want to spoil you."
You clung to Levi's back as you arched your back off the bed and moaned. "Levi."
Levi pressed his lips against yours and slipped his tongue into your mouth. He lowered his body against yours allowing you to feel each other. He moved against you and mewled in delight at being one with you. He shifted his arms and tangled his fingers with yours and held tightly. He felt complete that he was able to make love to you and let you be worshipped.
You wrapped your legs around Levi and melted under him. You often worried when he took the lead because of his bad knee, but as soon as he did start taking the lead he was perfection. Levi was always so delicate with your body. Levi made love to you like your body was the most precious thing in the world. You felt so loved and wanted by him.
You both started smiling and giggling as your hearts filled with love. You kissed each other now and then and gazed longingly into each other's eyes. You teased Levi a little by clenching around him and biting his lip a little and tugging. You gasped as he responded by pumping his cock into you a lot harder.
You cried out as he pressed himself deep into you over and over. You whimpered and whined as you felt on the cusp of your orgasm. You leaned your head back and moaned to the room. You closed your eyes as you felt your coil tighten up. You shivered under Levi and mewled as you felt the delicious snap and your orgasm rush through you.
Levi grunted and moaned as your walls caressed his cock. He released your hands and wrapped his arms around your body and held on tightly. He bucked into you but his movements were sloppy. He moaned your name against your ear as he felt the urge to cum building up.
Levi whimpered your name and pressed deep into you as he came hard. He shivered and moaned as his cum spilt into your pussy and filled you. He panted and hummed before relaxing against you. He nuzzled the crook of your neck and felt happiness spread through him at being one with you.
You massaged your fingers in Levi's hair. "Levi? Are you okay? How is your knee?"
Levi lifted his head. "I'm wonderful. I want to go again."
You giggled at how sweet he was with a gentle blush on his cheeks. "Cute."
"Are you okay?"
You rubbed your hand against his cheek. "I'm amazing. You were perfect." You kissed him and sighed. "I would love to go again, but we need to clean and you need to rest your knee."
Levi pulled out of you and shuffled down a bit before lying his head on your chest. "Mm, not yet."
You played with his hair. "Levi Ackerman not wanting to clean?"
He laughed. "Yeah." He looked up at you. "I just want to be with you."
You shuffled down the bed and lay on your side and faced him. "I love being with you."
He smiled at you as he lightly touched your cheek. "I love you."
"I love you."
He smiled and nuzzled his nose against yours. "I love you."
You giggled. "I love you."

Late December
Content: 1.6k words of part of a day with your six month old baby and husband Levi.
A/n: Here we go! Not quite holiday, not quite proof read hehe.
Your eyes flutter open as you smile after a nice, long sleep. It's early morning on another weekday later in the year, just after the holidays.
You turn to cuddle your husband but find his side of the bed empty. You frown, but not for long, already knowing where he is.
You get up and put on your robe and head to the nursery, pausing at the door and smiling.
Your husband Levi is sitting in the rocking chair, holding your six month old baby boy on his chest, reading him a story while he naps.
Levi stops mid sentence and smiles warmly when he notices you.
"Morning daddy." You smile back and step inside, coming over to stand by the rocker.
He sighs and rests his head on your side as you play with his hair and reach down to pet your babies cheek.
The little one blinks his eyes sleepily and gets excited when he sees you.
Levi chuckles and hands him over.
"Hi baby! Are you hungry?" You coo at him, kissing his face while he makes happy noises.
"Oh no, your not gonna try the solids again are you?" Levi asks nervously.
You laugh. "Levi, he has to start at some point." Six months is the recommended age to start but you can go later. The past week you've just done a couple spoonfuls a day and so far baby hasn't seemed to enjoy it and wants his bottle.
Both you and Levi thought you'd have a hard time with the process, but it's actually Levi who has instead.
"Yes but, how about next month?" He tries to talk you into waiting a bit longer.
Standing up he holds you close as your baby looks up at you both.
You smile and lean on Levis chest as your perfect little family stands in the nursery.
"I'll let you get away with it today, but tomorrow, we try again." You compromise with Levi about the solids.
He lets out a tiny sigh of relief and takes the baby back from you, holding him up.
"Hear that? We talked mommy into it!" He says with a large smile as baby seems to giggle with him.
You all go to the kitchen and Levi gets the bottle out of the fridge while you start a breakfast for you and him.
Levi sits in the chair and feeds his baby boy, who grabs onto the bottle while Levi holds it.
You've talked about not letting him comfort eat, but at this point it's Levi who needs the reassurance.
"Tea, sweetheart?" You ask as you start a pot and Levi nods.
"Yes please." He says while not looking away from the baby in his arms.
You smile and make some steel oats as well and add fresh fruit. A simple and healthy meal.
Levi finishes feeding and burps the baby and puts him in the high chair, grabbing a couple suction toys to stick on to keep him entertained.
He cleans off and puts the rest of the bottle back in the fridge and helps you finish breakfast, getting plates and tea cups.
Levi kisses your cheek and gently grabs onto your side, making you giggle.
He smiles as you pour the tea and he puts the oatmeal and fruit into the bowls and you sit down together.
You kiss your babies cheek and flick the animal toys.
"Owl." You say as you touch it. "Rabbit." You say as he touches a different one.
He pushes and pulls them and babbles happily.
"It's a nice day for a walk later." Levi says as he eats, and you nod.
"Yes, let's go around the neighborhood." Get some fresh air.
You finish eating and clean together, taking turns getting dressed and change the babies diaper before bundling him up in the blue crocheted onesie and quilted blanket his grandmas made him.
Levi gets his stroller and you put him in and start walking.
People still have their holiday decorations out, and the moving reindeer catches the babies eye the most.
You wave to neighbors and stop to chat with some as kids play on lawns riding bikes and playing tag.
"Oh he's getting so big!" Another husband and wife smile and wave at him as you stop in front of their house.
"He sure is a cutie!" The wife gushes, respecting the distance and not touching him.
"Thank you!" You smile.
You talk a few more minutes while their young children play around and wave to you and Levi.
"How olds the baby now?" The little girl asks, coming up, but not to close.
"Six months now." You tell them.
"Mr Ackerman, come throw the ball with me!" The boy calls to Levi, making all the adults chuckle.
"Okay, but just a couple times!" Levi smiles and runs over out of harms way with the young boy.
"And to think, last year he was afraid of Levi." The wife says, laughing.
It's true, for some reason, some of the neighborhood kids found Levi scary.
But somehow, once finding out he was going to be a dad, whether that made him open up to the idea more of other kids, or they figured if he was going to have a baby he wasn't all bad, he'd become one of the favorite adults on the block.
The husband joins in as the males play and you talk with the wife and daughter a few more minutes.
You hear your baby squeal happily and look to realize snowflakes are landing all around him.
"Oh!" You laugh, as none of you but him had noticed it was beginning to flurry lightly.
"Levi, we should be going!" You call to him, sorry to cut his time short.
"Coming!" He says, handing back the ball before walking up to you.
You say your goodbyes and walk back a little faster, before the weather changes anymore.
The babies hands flail as the flurries melt away before he can do anything, making you and Levi smile.
Once back inside Levi puts the stroller away then helps you get him back into his tiny pajamas and hang his onesie and blanket up to dry from the damp snow.
Baby goes into his crib to take a mid morning nap, the first of a couple. You try to keep him on some sort of schedule most of the time.
You both also change back into something warm, not planning on going anywhere else today.
You're tempted to go back into the nursery to check on the baby but Levi holds your hand and shakes his head.
"He's fine, come on." Baby likes his sleep and will be out a couple of hours.
You let him lead you to the couch where you snuggle against him and watch as the snow comes down a little harder than before.
Levi plays with your hair gently as you both relax.
"Mom wants to drive down to see us soon. She's got presents, she says." He tells you.
"Mine too. Let's have them over next weekend." You know they're presents for the baby, as if he needs anymore. But you love that they both spoil him, and you.
Levi kisses your temple and sighs happily. "I'd like that."
Your moms get along great, sometimes you find they hang out together. Levis mom teaches yours to crochet, while yours teaches his how to quilt. Now they always have something for you. Not to mention all the toys.
But with a growing baby you need updated clothes and toys all the time, so don't mind at all.
They already sent some things, including an automatic swing they swear was free shipping and on sale. You took pictures and made a three way call to thank them. They were already talking about an activity center now that he sits up on his own.
Levi hugs you tight, interrupting your thoughts.
"Thank you love. For being my wife, and making me a father. I love you." He swears he'll never be able to repay you.
You nuzzle his neck, hugging back. "Even when I try to give him solids?" You joke about the babies diet and Levi chuckles, holding you closer.
"I love you too sweetheart. You're everything to me, to us. You have our hearts" You feel his arms tighten around you. You both know he'll never let go.
You both fall asleep for a while in each others arms, waking with the babies schedule, heading back to the nursery to find your little one just getting up as well.
You pick him up and hold him upright in your arms.
"Hello my nugget. You hungry?" He starts in with the happy noises that you take as a yes.
"But no solids." Levi whispers as he walks behind you to the kitchen.
You laugh and turn to him as you get to the kitchen and pull out the bottle.
"I already promised." You remind him, making him settle down.
"Jeez, I can't even imagine what you'll be like when he starts walking." You say playfully. Truthfully, you'll probably be a nevous wreck then too.
"First he has to crawl." Levi won't let you get too far ahead of yourself.
"Yes love." You say, sitting down to feed the baby and continue your afternoon routine.
As Levi hovers close by, and your little boy looks up at you both, you know that many milestones, including crawling, are just around the corner.

It didn’t take long for you to fall into a steady rhythm on the captain’s boot. You detest the utter degradation of this whole scheme. However, if you didn’t want to be discharged from the ranks, you had to fall in line with your captain’s orders. His power outweighs yours ten fold. He’s humanity’s best soldier for fuck’s sake.
By all means mortified, you can’t even look him in his stone colored eyes. Instead, you find yourself biting your lip while focusing on his shin.
I fucking hate this so much, you try to tell yourself.
The stimulation in your clit tells you otherwise.
A sharp palm connects with your face, causing you to almost fall off of the leather boot beneath you.
“I want you to look me in the eyes when you come, you fucking brat. Keep looking away, and I’ll do worse than slap you.”
You know him too well by now. He will do much worse than slap you, and you don’t want to make him fulfill that threat.
As tears line your E/C orbs, you continue rocking back and forth on the toe of his shoe, grinding down onto him as your thighs clench from pleasure. You might as well try to relax and get it all over with. Looking at his narrow gaze, you feel a blush creep across your cheeks.
Your jaw feels a little stiff, and with your attention drawn to this part of your face, you realize the soreness is from your mouth hanging open. How long has it been that way? You even feel drool tread past the corner of your lips.
When a warm sensation swells in your tummy, you feel light as you give three final rocks before a symphony of moans fall from your lips.
He pulls his boot out from beneath you and looks at it with his heel on the floor. “What a messy girl you are, L/N. Go on. Clean up the mess you made.”
Whimpering, you lower yourself so that your nose is only an inch from his boot. God, who knows where this shoe has been. It’s not something you want to think about. Resigning yourself to the disgusting job, you begin licking your come from his boot. Short and long strokes line the leather, and you find yourself trying to get through this without gagging.
Levi hates gagging.
When his boot is all clean, you look up at him for permission to get up. His head rests lazily against his hand, elbow propped up on the arm rest of his office chair.
“What are we never going to do again?” Levi asks, his tone mocking you.
Fiddling with your fingers, you take a moment before looking into his cold grey eyes. “Complain about you to Erwin.”
“Good girl. See? You are smart. I knew you’d learn your lesson.”
He begins patting your head as if you’re some dog. It’s irritating, but you put up with you. You don’t want to feel the whip or crop on your back again.
His hand moves to pull you up by your hair, and you find yourself only inches away from the face of your captain as you wince in pain from the burning of your scalp.
“Never fucking pull that shit again. Am I understood?”
“Yes, Captain Ackerman!”
A sardonic smirk graces his lips as he pulls you in for a kiss.
He immediately lets go of your hair and drops you to the floor. You land awkwardly on your side with a loud thud.
“I would kiss you, but your mouth is too disgusting. Go on. I have work to finish.”
Grateful to be let go for now, you scurry to your feet and turn on your heel. He sends you on your way with a hard smack on the ass. Yelping, you grab your clothes, hurrying out of the room as fast as you can. You dress yourself instantly, and a sense of relief washes over you.
You can’t help but mumble, “Captain Ackerman is such a hard ass.”

"One coffee, black," Levi perked up, glancing away from the delicate cups he'd been so focused on scrubbing clean only to meet a gaze he's become warmly familiar with. "And make it a big one."
He couldn't help but click his tongue, turning back to the task at hand before replying with a plain, "This is a tea shop, not a cafe, you idiot." Scarred lips quirked up subtly at the exasperated sigh that seeped into his ears.
A tired hand massaged your temples as you leaned over the counter, waiting for him to turn to you. "I can see the damn coffee bags, Levi." You sighed, "You know that coffee place down the street is ass— help me out here."
The former Captain hummed, now satisfied with the sparkling reflection on the cup in his hands. Snatching a cloth to dry his hands with, he finally turned to you. The tired pull of your brow wasn't lost on him. "I heard about last night," Looking around, he made sure no customers had been left unattended. He crossed his arms. "How are you?"
A subtle smile tugged at your lips at the note of concern in his words. Your shoulders sagged as you released a weighted breath. "Been worse," What that implied made the man before you frown. You shrugged. "But everyone's safe, and that's all that matters."
Levi would've scoffed, hadn't he bit his tongue. Did you believe he didn't notice the darkening shadows under your eyes? You seemed to waver under the weight of it all just a bit more every day. He wished you'd let him ease that pressure off your shoulders, even just a fraction of it. He'd do it in a heartbeat.
There wasn't a single person in town who hadn't heard about last night's raging fire. It'd been a while since he'd seen destruction like that. He hated that you had been risking it all, staring down at the heart of those ravaging flames while he could only idly wait and read about the more gruesome details in the morning paper. A bitter taste settled on his tongue just thinking about it.
A scarred hand placed a travel cup over the counter, nudging it over in your direction. He quirked a brow at you, prompting you to take it.
You obliged without much of a fight, curiously eyeing the drink before taking a whiff of its scent. Warm. Roasted. Bitter, but sweetened to your liking. A weak smile threatened to curl your lips. "When did you make this?"
Levi shrugged nonchalantly, carefully watching your reaction as the rim of the cup met your lips. Satisfaction bubbled in his chest as he watched you relax into the drink's warmth. "Figured you'd need it," He commented, knowing well how last night's incident had snatched any chance of rest away from your begging hands. He didn't have the heart to point out the residue ash that still stained your cheeks and lingered under your nails. "Brewed it as soon as I opened the shop."
A small breath of amusement escaped you. For someone so obsessed with his tea, he surely knew how to brew your coffee just right. "My hero," you teased, taking another sip from the cup. "What would I do without you?"
This time, Levi allowed himself to scoff. He leaned over the counter, eyeing you under dark lashes. "You'd be choking on that shitty coffee from down the street."
You sputtered as a laugh soared past your lips. He still hadn't gotten used to such a wild melody. How exciting. A new glow flashed behind your eyes, a dazzling little thing that tugged at his heartstrings.
"Hey," you smiled, adjusting the collar of your jacket before sliding some money across the counter. "Thanks for the coffee, seriously."
Levi shook his head as he shoved the bills back in your direction. "It's on me," He cleared his throat, his gaze advising not to challenge him. "This town doesn't need the Captain of its fire department passing out in broad daylight."
You grumbled under your breath, stuffing the money back into your pockets. "Then how about I pay you with some dinner?"
At that, the former Captain froze. You chuckled at the sight.
"Nothing serious, I promise," You raised your hands in feigned surrender, gaze softening ever so slightly. "Just something to show my appreciation for the best tea shop owner in town!"
Levi rolled his eyes, muttering under his breath, "You mean the only tea shop owner in town."
Shrugging, you leveled him with a teasing look. "My point still stands," Courage bubbled in your veins as you leaned on the counter, agonizingly close to him. "Let me pick you up tonight. We'll grab something to eat, and I'll have you back before you know it, okay?"
"Aren't you busy?" He knew how unpredictable your job could be— he also knew how exhausting it could be.
You groaned in feigned annoyance. "I'm off of work early today, and tomorrow's my day off!" A pout settled on your lips. "Please, just let me do something nice for you."
Levi sighed, glancing over to the clock on the wall. It's starting to feel like a rather slow day, he had to admit. Mismatched hues glared at you with little bite. "Be here by seven," He stepped back, returning to the task of scrubbing the dishes clean. "I won't be up all night waiting for you." A blatant lie, he knew.
A sense of victory warmed your chest, and you couldn't help but subtly fistbump the air in celebration. Levi snickered. "I'll pick you up at six-thirty," you clarified with a grin. Getting ready for your leave, you once again grabbed the travel cup. "Oh, and dress warmly tonight! I hear it'll be cold." You shouted over your shoulder before stepping through the door and out of the shop.
Levi could only shake his head and bite back a smile as he watched you walk away.
Anticipation pooled in your chest and spilled down to your stomach as you drove down to Levi's teashop. Lucky bastard. Of course, he would have his apartment just above his shop. What you'd give to live so close to your job and avoid the treacherous drives into the heart of town.
All day, you'd been planning the evening, fine-tuning each detail to perfection. You'd take him out to dinner, have him try out some desserts, and if his leg permitted it, you'd offer to go for a walk around the city market. It'd been made clear that Levi preferred simplicity, and you didn't mind savoring a bit of it either.
A gentle tune crackled and poured out of your radio, the sound sweet as it seeped into your ears. You smiled, glancing at the scarf you'd gotten for him. It's been cold out lately. Supposedly, it would be even colder in the evening. A small gift such as this wouldn't be too much, right? You shook your head. It'd be best not to overthink it in case your courage trickled away.
A frantic clamor disrupted the melody, flooding your car. You frowned as you watched people rush out of their houses, jumping the last few steps off their porches before going off in a sprint. How strange. Their shouts drowned out the tune of your radio, something vile and fearful twisting in your stomach as their voices echoed in the air.
"What's going o—" Your eyes widened, chest constricting at the sight of smoke. A puff of gray rose to the sky, dark and angry, showering the town in ash. Silent prayers tugged and yanked at your heartstrings as a new weight of urgency settled over the gas pedal.
When did screams of panic replace the angelic tune of your car radio? When had your anxiety gotten the better of you, pushing your foot just a little further down, the rush not enough to propel you forward as quickly as you wished? When had the home of so many smiles and fleeting glances turned into a flaming coffin?
Hastily abandoning your vehicle, you rushed through the crowds, fear clawing viciously at your back as you stood before the beloved teashop. The once comforting aroma of tea and sweets you became so familiar with now withered away under the attack of raging flames. Your lungs stung bitterly.
"Is he still in there?!" You asked the first person you could get a hold of. "Is Levi still inside?" You pressed, hating the sour taste of desperation.
Your answer came in the form of wide eyes and a choked cry.
The crackle and pop of the wooden structure snapped you out of your panic. A quick look at the upper level of the building suggested the fire hadn't fully reached his apartment as of yet. A new sense of determination overshadowed your fear as you sprinted back to your car, grabbing the scarf you'd gotten for the former Captain.
With no time to rush back to headquarters for your equipment, you came to the dreadful realization that your team might not have gotten notice of the situation as of yet. Odds dictated that the situation could worsen before they arrived.
Frightful screams rang in your ears as you rushed past the crowds. Perhaps you were thinking ahead of yourself. Perhaps you weren't thinking at all. Maybe something other than fear was pulsing through your veins, chilling and addicting in the most dangerous ways. Whatever it was, you savored it fiercely.
You promised Levi a nice evening. Making sure he was okay was vital for you to fulfill such a daring promise.
Covering your nose and mouth with the scarf, you greeted the flames like an old friend as you plunged into them.

The Breaking Point (Part II) - Levi Ackerman x Female Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You continue to navigate life in the wake of your breakup with Captain Levi.
Word Count: 2.2k
Warnings: Spoilers for season three.
Read Part I
* * *
The next morning, you vow to have a change of heart, to stop moping around and to get back to work, truly. You splash your face with cold water the moment you wake up and actually put some effort into your appearance. You also have a great breakfast at a local shop just down the street from you. At work, you’re at your best. With some help, you managed to coordinate interviews with some of the regiments’ elites about the latest titan excursion.
But you had to sit down and contemplate after you find out about Commander Erwin’s death from a public announcement published by the Survey Corps. Immediately, your mind wandered to Levi and if he was all right. But that was only for a moment. You have to focus on your work right now. You have to prepare for an interview with Commander Hange Zoë, the new commander for the Scouts since your meeting with them is in an hour. And since this story is so big, Roy, journalist and director of Berg Newspapers, is coming with you to tackle the lengthy story.
“But sir, you know as well as I do that people, especially those in the military, do better in a one-on-one interview,” you protest as he stands at your desk. “They give more details. In my experience, they usually feel more comfortable with sharing more than what we ask.”
“I would agree with you in any other case,” Roy says your name. “But this looks to be the biggest news that the walls have ever seen. I wouldn’t feel comfortable letting you go at it alone, despite your impressive track record. My decision is final.”
You look down at the ground defeatedly.
“Okay.”
“I’ll let you be in charge of asking your own questions, I’ll draft my own. We go at this together. But I want to get the lead on this story. To get details the other newspapers won’t have.”
“Of course.”
“Meet me in my office in a half hour.”
You nod at him and begin to scribble in your tiny notebook to write down five thorough questions for the new commander. You’ll come up with more as they explain the situation.
You meet Roy at his office, as directed, and leave together to get a transport from the Military Police to the headquarters of the Scout Regiment. You have been here many times before, so you have no reason to gawk out of your window at the massive building like novice journalists do. But it’s a beautiful day. There isn’t a cloud in the sky and the sun beams down on everything it can touch. In fact, it’s the nicest it’s been in over a week. You eventually shed your suit jacket and leave it on the seat of the carriage.
You follow a pair of Scouts into the building and nothing but the sound of padding footsteps on checkered floors echoes in the massive hallways. As you and Roy follow, you review your notes and the information you know. Some feeling of nervousness bubbles in your stomach, but you aren’t sure why. You have met with Commander Hange Zoë before in a previous interview, so it was nothing new. Maybe it’s because your boss is joining you on this one. Yeah, that’s it for sure.
You are led into a private room with a few round tables. The commander is not here yet, although you two are a good ten minutes early. The room isn’t a conference room, so it’s not exactly impressive. Still, you pull out a chair and sit down, getting oriented by spreading out your work. Cookies and black tea are brought to the table and one of the soldiers pours you your tea. You look up and thank them. Then, they retreat to the double doors and grab the door handles, saying one last thing before closing them.
“Commander Hange and Captain Levi will be in shortly. Please make yourselves comfortable in the meantime.”
Your eyes widen as they look down at your notes. The room begins to spin. Sweat brews at the bottom of your spine. Anxiety immediately takes over your entire being and you can only hear muffled mumbling as Roy calls your name. It isn’t until he places a hand on your shoulder that you snap out of your trance.
“Huh?” you say breathlessly.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m good.”
“You’re as white as a sheet.”
“No yeah, I’m fine,” you clear your throat. “But weren’t we interviewing just the Commander today? That was my understanding.”
“I thought the same. Looks like we will just have more intel, that’s all. I’m glad I came.”
“Yeah.”
You have a few moments to gather your wits. You use them wisely to take a silent few deep breaths and tweak your questions slightly to make sure they’re inclusive of the captain, as well. You collaborate with Roy to make sure you don’t ask similar questions. You take a few sips of piping tea during the process and before you can even process it, you can hear the doors opening behind you.
You swallow harshly as you and Roy both stand up, turning around to greet the commander and the captain. Your eyes immediately fall to him. He looks the same as always. The apathetic gaze, the slight bags underneath his eyes, his shiny onyx hair parted neatly and undercut shaved down. You two lock eyes and something changes in his stare, a light is turned on. Not wanting to stay transfixed too long or look suspicious, you quickly introduce yourself and shake hands with Commander Hange Zoë.
“Ah, yes, I remember you,” the Commander recollects with fondness. “Nice to see you again.”
“You as well.”
“This is Captain Levi. He’s joining me today in our meeting since I was incapacitated for part of the battle.”
“Of course,” you manage to say as normally as you can, extending your hand. “Pleasure.”
After looking at you for a few moments, his gaze softens again and Levi reluctantly shakes your hand with a nod.
“All mine.”
You swallow harshly.
Roy introduces himself to Commander Hange Zoë and Levi and you can already tell that both you and Levi are distracted by one another. But you refuse to let it get in the way of your line of work. Do your job, get the information, get out. You gesture at them to take a seat and you take a cleansing breath in, and back out again.
“All right, let’s get started.”
* * *
After almost two hours of interviewing, your tea and cookies were still left essentially untouched. Too much talking, writing, and thinking going on to even think about taking a sip or a bite of either. And, it was almost like you had forgotten that you and Levi were ever together.
After the story was printed just a day later, the commander and captain requested a follow-up meeting. You read aloud from the publication.
“The monstrous Titans that have menaced us so, are, in fact, human. They’re known as Subjects of Ymir, or Eldians, and we share a common ancestry. When our king erected these walls 100 years ago, he altered our memories using Titan powers, so as to make us think that beyond the walls, humanity had gone extinct. In truth, there are countless people beyond the walls. But when it comes to us Subjects of Ymir, they believe that we are a race of devils. In the near future, the enemy will invade our lands in order to obtain the resources beneath us. Their plans began five years ago when they used the Colossal Titan to breach Shiganshina.”
The room is quiet for a moment, none of you four speaking, but Roy has a concerned look on his face. A single bead of sweat drips down the side of his face.
“I know the article’s already published, but is all of this as credible as you claim?” “At the very least, it addresses most of the doubts and questions that we’ve had this whole time,” Commander Hange speaks but looks down at the ground. “I know it’s not the truth we would hope for, but it’s what we have.”
“Appreciate it,” Levi murmurs after Roy refills his teacup.
“So how are people taking the news?”
“It’s a mixed bag,” Roy almost shrugs. “Some just accept it, some laugh it off, some lash out at the military and insist it’s all a great conspiracy. Just as you feared, things have become somewhat chaotic.”
“Makes sense, but there’s really no helping that. It’s our job to explore and report our findings. The taxpayers can treat that information as they will.”
Commander Hange pauses to take a drink of tea. They let out a satisfied sigh.
“That’s something we’ve improved since the king was deposed.”
“I couldn’t be prouder of the work you’ve done.”
You cock an eyebrow at Roy as he says this. This is against everything you’ve been taught in journo: to not show any signs of favoritism or support, regardless of who or what party it’s affiliated with. Seems like he’s kissing ass more than anything. You’ll have to ask him about this later. The commander perks up, too, “Huh?”
“Not only as a citizen of the walls, but… one working stiff to another.”
“Uh,” Commander Hange says, almost embarrassed, “thank you.”
Levi speaks up and makes direct eye contact with you as he leans his head on his arm, unimpressed.
“Uh-huh. Then why don’t you fluff us up a bit in the next article you write?”
You can feel your cheeks flush when his gaze bores into yours. He knows what he’s doing. Commander Hange’s head snaps his direction and gives him a glare. Roy chuckles. An uncomfortable moment of silent fills the room.
“I have to ask, what happens to us now? We’ve looked at the Titans with fear, with hate, with the wish in our hearts that they’d disappear forever. And now we’ve learned that this is how the people of the world look at us. We’re not human to them. We’re monsters. They’ll attack us, just as they did before. Why wouldn’t they?”
Another moment of silence.
“This hell will repeat itself, until the last of us are dead.”
* * *
Later that night, you reflect on your day as you hold a warm cup of tea in the palms of your hands, watching the rain fall down through the window onto the town. You’re cuddled up with your softest blanket and surrounded by warm candlelight and the fireplace. The pitter patter of the rain on the roof provides white noise. You catch yourself almost falling asleep a few times.
Today was an interesting day, and a long one at that. You had interviewed the captain before, but… it was different now as you two had been together. The energy was almost unbearable. You prayed that none of the others managed to pick up on it, although you always had a great way of playing things off.
Still. You wonder what Levi is doing now. Probably doing paperwork in his office, per usual. A sigh releases itself from your lungs. As much as you loved him, you do not miss the worrying that comes with being his girlfriend. You finally feel more at peace and much more tranquil than before. You notice that you aren’t as fatigued as before and you sleep infinitely better. Even when Levi was in bed with you, safe and sound, you couldn’t help but think about the future and how at daybreak, he was going to be gone again.
You feel a little guilty for thinking this way, as Levi did try his best, despite never being in an official relationship before. He would come home with campanulas sometimes. Not the ones at the market, but in the fields or outside the wall straight out of the ground. You never knew how he managed to smuggle them without crushing them in the process. But the gesture was enough to make you melt. Other nights, he came home with fresh bread from the local bakery. Things like that in order to prove that he truly did want to make you happy.
All of those things though are now distant memories.
You swig back the rest of your tea and swing the blanket off you to get up. You set the cup in the sink and turn off the lights and head to bed.
Knock knock knock.
Your eyes pop open, but you aren’t sure if you just are hearing things or that sound was from a dream. You wait a few more moments to see if it happens again.
Knockknockknockknockknockknockknock.
You straighten up in bed with a furrowed brow. Who in the world could that be? And at this hour?
You quickly put on your robe and slippers and make your way towards the door with a lit candle. After peeking through the peephole in the door, your eyes grow wide and you nearly drop the flame in your hand.
Your hands quickly work to unlock the door and swing it open. Your eyes are wide as you stare at the disheveled, soaking wet figure standing before you.
“Levi?”

Kuchel gazed in awe as her daddy sang sweetly, he was making her milk and something to eat. She patted her hands on the little table as Levi walked closer to her. “Da! Da! Da!”
Levi chuckled. “You’re really excited for food and drink, huh?” He sat down and carefully gave her the milk she wanted. “Enjoy that a bit and then we’ll feed you.”
“Ba, ba, ba!”
Levi cleaned her face and then got the food on a little spoon and offered it to her. He smiled when she wiggled her arms in excitement. “I hope it tastes good.”
Kuchel reached for the spoon when Levi pulled it away. “AH!”
He laughed. “That good, huh? All right, I’ll give you more.”
She reached over and used her plump hand to grab Levi’s a little. She ate more of the food and smiled brightly at Levi causing her to show off her four little teeth so far. She hummed in delight before yawning a bit. She stopped eating and pulled a face before she started crying.
Levi laughed a little at the adorable face she pulled before crying. He cleaned her face and picked her up and out of her seat. “Oh dear, we have the big sad.” He rubbed her back. “Daddy’s right here.”
You walked into the home with Bo after taking him for a quick walk. You pulled your coat off, slipped off your boots and smiled a little. You moved towards Levi with a soft smile. “She okay?”
Levi pouted. “She was eating and then started crying.”
You ran your hand over her head. “Her teeth are probably bothering her. I think more are coming through.” You leaned down and kissed her forehead. “Poor little baby. Mummy and Daddy are right here for you.”
Levi stood up with her. “I’ll check if she needs changing.”
“Sure. I’ll get us a cup of tea.”
Levi carried Kuchel into her room and lay her on the changing bed. He took her things off and checked. “Oh, big poop. No wonder you were upset.” He moved up. “How did you get it up your back? You’re magical.” He hummed a laugh and cleaned her up before changing her into fresh clean clothes. “There you go.”
Kuchel wiggled on her back. “Aboo.”
Levi scooped her up. “You’re welcome. Now, let's get some hugs and kisses from Mummy.” He carried his daughter into the living room to see that you’d set everything up for a nice cup of tea and snacks. “Darling.”
You grinned. “It’s my two favourite people.”
Levi sat down and handed you Kuchel. “Thank you for the tea.”
You cuddled your daughter. “You picked a great outfit for her.”
“Thank you.”
You kissed the top of her head. “What happened?”
Levi sipped his tea and sighed. “Poop explosion.”
You looked down at Kuchel. “Did you explode? My goodness me, my little flower. Poor daddy having to clean that up.”
Kuchel smiled at you. “Aboo!”
You kissed her cheek. “You’re too adorable.” You smiled as Bo walked over. “You coming to say hello?”
Kuchel reached over and lightly patted her hand on Bo’s head. “Eh.”
You held her arm to stop her from slapping too hard, but she was always gentle. “Good girl.”
Levi sat back. “I want to try and get her to walk again.”
You picked up your drink. “I think that’s a lovely idea.” You looked down at Kuchel. “You ready to work with Daddy and try to walk again? Daddy has done well trying to walk. I’m sure you can join him.”
“I’ll be able to run with her.”
That’ll be beautiful to see.” You moved her to sit between you and Levi. “Sorry Kuchel, I have a hot drink.”
Kuchel gazed at you and grabbed your dress. She wiggled and whined at you. She pouted hard and started pulling a face. “Uuuuu.”
You put your cup down. “Oh dear. We are very sad, huh?” You picked her up and hugged her, she instantly stopped crying. “I’m right here.”
Levi chuckled. “I’ll get you a cold drink.”
“Thank you.” You smiled as Kuchel stood up on your thighs and gazed at you. “You stomping on my thighs?”
Kuchel flopped forwards onto your boobs and sighed. “Mm.”
“You comfy like that?”
Levi sat down and smiled. “I’d be comfy like that.”
You snorted a laugh. “Of course.”
Levi picked up Kuchel. “Enjoy your drink while I help this one run circles around me.”
You picked up your cold drink and relaxed a bit. “She’ll be amazing.”
Levi sat on the floor and plopped Kuchel onto her bum. “Right, my little flower. You ready to walk?”
Kuchel stared at Levi. “Buh.”
“Buh?”
She blew a raspberry and slapped the floor. “Mmm.”
Levi sighed. “You are a mystery sometimes.”
You put your cup down before lying on your side. “She’s just checking the floor first before she goes for it.”
Kuchel moved her little legs and pushed herself up onto her feet. “Eh.”
Levi reached out or her. “That’s it. Come on sweetpea. Come to Daddy.”
Kuchel slapped her foot on the floor. “Ba!”
You shot up and gasped as Kuchel carefully walked to Levi on wobbly legs. “Kuchel.”
Kuchel hurried over to Levi and fell into his arms. She squealed with laughter when you and Levi cheered loudly. “Eh!”
Levi threw her up and down before kissing her cheek. “That’s my girl!”
You clapped your hands. “You’re amazing! Well done, Kuchel!”
Levi hugged his daughter tightly. “You’re incredible.” He placed her on her feet. “Let’s try again.”
You sat on the floor and opened your arms. “Come to mummy!”
Kuchel kicked her leg a bit before noticing you. “Ma, ma, ma.” She stumbled on her feet as she made her way over to you. She squealed in delight. “Ma!”
You caught her just as she fell into your arms. “That’s it, my little flower. You’re so perfect.”
Levi smiled sweetly. “She’s growing up so fast.”
You rocked with your daughter. “You’re right.”
He released a long sigh. “So umm…”
You giggled. “Yes, I would love more. We’ll wait for this one to get a bit older.” You kissed the top of her head and looked over at Levi. “Having a nice big family would be perfect.”
“I think so too.” He released a long sigh. “She’ll be talking next.”
You nodded. “Yeah, she will. I can’t wait to hear what she says next.”
Levi reached over and tickled Kuchel’s cheek. “I’m looking forward to it too.”

Levi held Kuchel’s hand as she carefully walked around the garden. He smiled softly as she stomped her little feet. He let her hand go as she ran a bit with Bo. “Careful sweetpea.”
She petted Bo as she giggled. “Bo.”
Levi flinched at hearing his daughter talk. “What?”
She laughed and Bo nudged her with his head. “Bo!”
Levi gasped. “Your first word!” Levi shouted your name. “Kuchel said her first word!”
You ran from the kitchen and outside. “She did!? What was it!?”
“Bo.”
You hurried over to Kuchel. “Did you speak?”
Kuchel looked up at you reached up. “Mama!”
You welled up and gasped. “She said, mama!” You picked her up and hugged her tightly. “Clever girl! Who’s that?” You walked over to Levi. “Say, Dada.”
Kuchel squealed happily as she looked at Levi. “Da, da, da, da!” She hummed in thought. “Dada.”
Levi let the tears spill over his cheeks. “Oh…oh my baby girl.” Levi hugged you and his daughter. “Ackerman sandwich.”
You laughed. “Perfect.” You leaned over and showered Levi’s face in kisses. “You’re adorable.” You handed Kuchel over to Levi. “I’ll get our picnic ready! We have to show your friends!”
Levi frowned. “Friends?”
You nodded. “Yes! We should go to the graveyard.”
Levi smiled sweetly and looked down at his daughter. “We’re going to show you your aunts and uncles.”
Kuchel patted Levi’s face. “Dada.”
Levi grinned. “I’m Dada.” He kissed her cheek. “I bet you’d be a great big sister, huh?”
You grabbed the bag full of food and hurried back out to Levi. “Ready! Let’s go on our walk.”
Levi opened the back gate and let you and Bo go first. He admired you as you walked ahead of him and how your body curved in all the right places. He adored, admired and loved every single inch of you. Levi was so proud to call you his wife. He felt like he was the luckiest man alive. Levi didn’t think he deserved you, he thought you were too good for him but he was sure as hell never going to let you go.
You put a blanket down right by the grave of Levi’s best friends and the vets. “Ready.”
Levi lowered Kuchel onto her feet. “There you go.”
Kuchel sighed a bit before walking clumsily around and coming to a stop in front of Erwin’s grave. She looked up at it and gripped the edge of it. “Mm.”
Levi stood behind her and smiled. “That’s your uncle Erwin. He was a great friend. He would have loved you.” He laughed a little. “You would have looked so small in his arms. He was really big. Tch.” He stared up at the statue and then back down at his daughter to see she was leaning to bite. “Ah!” He picked her up. “No, no eating the gravestone.”
You laughed. “She try to chomp on Erwin?”
Levi carried her over. “Yeah.” He sat down with Kuchel on his lap. “Eat some melon you little terror.”
You offered it to Kuchel and smiled as she ate. “So, which one of the vets would have freaked out that you are a dad?”
Levi smiled a little. “Hange.”
“Really?”
He nodded as he helped his daughter eat. “She would have loved to babysit her.”
You got out food for Levi and you. “Would you let her?”
Levi paused for a moment as he thought about it. “Uh…well…only if Moblit supervised her.”
You smiled a little. “I’m sure that would have been a fun day for Kuchel.”
“It would have.” He cleaned up Kuchel’s cheek. “I wish my mum was with me for longer because she would have been so excited to be a grandmother.” He sighed as he thought about her. “She could have gotten rid of me when she found out, but she loved babies so much.” He looked up at you. “She would have encouraged us to have more kids.”
You giggled. “Well, we would do that for her.”
He leaned over and kissed you. “Furlan would be in utter shock. He used to tell me I had terrible social skills. So, the fact I’m married with a kid is just...” He chuckled. “It would have been funny to see him react.”
You hugged your legs and smiled. “I bet he would have been proud of you.”
“I think so too.”
You petted Bo and smiled a little. “You know, I think I really am deeply happy.” You looked over at Levi. “I love you so much.”
Levi gazed at you as his heart skipped a beat. “I love you too.” He gasped as his eyes got cloudy and it looked like you were fading away. “N-No! Don’t go!”
You shifted closer to Levi and cupped his face. “I’m right here.”
Levi sobbed a little. “Sorry.” He sniffed. “I just…”
You wrapped your arms around his neck and held him a little as Kuchel looked up at you and Levi. “I’m not going anywhere, okay? We’ll both die of old age and knowing us,” you pulled back and smiled at Levi “we’ll die holding each other’s hands. I bet there will be a second difference between us.”
He chuckled. “Yeah, I think that too.”
Kuchel whined. “Mama.”
You smiled down at her. “I’m right here. I’m just giving your daddy some love.”
Levi sniffed a bit. “I’m okay. I just thought your mummy disappeared for a moment.”
You rubbed Levi’s cheek. “Kuchel, your daughter, is living proof that I’m alive. We made this little sweet flower together.”
Levi smiled in delight. “Yeah, you’re right.” He smiled at Kuchel and saw a perfect mix of you and him in her. “She’s our precious little flower made from love.”
You hugged Levi’s arm. “That’s right.”
He turned his head and kissed you. “I love you. I would be so lost without you.”
You rested the side of your head on Levi’s shoulder and hummed. “Mm, I dunno. You did so well before me.”
“I was on autopilot the whole time. I wasn’t living. I was just going through the motions of life. With you I’m alive.”
You kissed Levi’s neck. “That is so romantic.”
Levi blushed hard. “Really? I was just saying how I felt.”
You pressed the end of Levi’s nose. “You are adorable.”
Levi whined a bit before flopping onto his back and laying Kuchel on his chest. “I’m flustered. You fluster me.”
You giggled and lay on your side. “Well, that’s a good thing.”
“Mm?”
You nodded and held Levi’s hand. “Means you love me so much.”
Levi smiled as Kuchel sat up on him. “Yes.”
Kuchel looked around and hummed. “Ba!”
You reached over and held her little hand. “She’s got a lot to say, huh?”
Levi wiggled his daughter. “She does and I like that she does.” He sighed. “Isn’t she precious?”
“She is.” You propped your head up on your hand. “Just you wait.”
“Wait?”
You nodded. “As soon as she poops you won’t think she’s precious but a poop monster.”
Levi caught Kuchel before she fell on him. “You’re right about that. She has some deadly poops.” He lifted his daughter and sat her between you and him. “I love her no matter what though.”
You smiled as Kuchel touched your face. “Me too. She’s just so wonderful.” You pulled her close and kissed her cheek. “I love you, my little flower. I’ll love you forever.” You lay on your back and sighed. “You know, I could just lie here and sleep for a bit.”
Levi put his arms under his head. “I think I could too.” He grunted when Bo partly lay on his stomach. “Big dog.”
You giggled. “He is a big one.”
Kuchel flopped against you and whined a bit as she rubbed her eyes. “Mm.”
“Tried?” You held her close. “Sleep well, my sweet flower.”
Levi gazed at Kuchel as she was soothed by you and fell asleep. “You know, she’s just like me.”
You laughed. “She is.”
He cleared his throat. “The whole being soothed by you, that’s very me.”
You gazed at Levi. “You soothe me as well.”
Levi reached over and held your hand. “I love you.”
“I love you.”

Levi sat bolt upright making you jump. “I hear crying.” He looked over at you sitting in the dark of the night with Evan, your newborn, against your chest, feeding. “He woke up?”
You nodded. “Yeah. I couldn’t sleep much due to discomfort and I heard him get fussy.” You patted Evan’s bum. “You said you heard crying?”
“I did.” He slipped out of bed and stretched. “I’m sure I did.” He listened quietly and heard a louder cry. “Kuchel!”
“Oh no.”
Levi put his hand up to you. “I’ll get her. You rest with Evan.”
“Are you sure?”
He nodded. “I’ve got her.” He hurried out of the room and down to Kuchel’s room. “Kuchel?”
She sniffed and looked at the door as Levi opened it. “Daddy?”
Levi smiled at his little girl. “Hello, my little flower.” He walked over and sat on the bed. “Did you have a bad dream?”
She nodded. “Daddy has super hearing.”
“You only just woke up?”
“Uh-huh.”
He sat on the edge of her bed and sighed. “I guess I have good hearing, huh?”
She nodded as she giggled. “Super daddy.”
Levi scooted closer and put his arm around his daughter. “That’s me.”
She sniffed. “Where’s mummy?”
“She’s feeding your baby brother.”
She giggled. “He eats from her boobies.”
Levi laughed. “He does. You did when you were a baby.”
She gasped in awe. “Wow.”
“So, what did you dream about?”
She pouted a bit and hugged her bear. “That mummy and daddy got hurt.”
He kissed the top of her head. “Your mummy and I are okay. We’re right here with you.”
“Yes, daddy.”
He sighed. “You know, I used to get terrible nightmares.”
“Really?” She gazed at Levi with wide eyes. “But daddy is so strong.”
“I am, that’s true.” He showed her his right hand. “I survived a lot.”
She reached over and gripped Levi’s hand with her small ones. She hummed as she studied his missing fingers. “Poor daddy.”
He held her hands. “My point is, I went through a lot of bad things and it caused me to have bad dreams.”
“We’re the same?”
He nodded. “We are.” He smiled at her. “I had so many bad dreams, but you know what made it all better?”
She shook her head. “No.”
He blushed. “Your mummy.”
“Mummy?” She grinned. “Mummy is the best!”
“She is.” He released a long sigh. “She made me all better. She taught me a few things to make everything better. So, we’re going to do that together.”
She nodded. “Okay!”
“Name five things you love. They’re not in order of what you love most, just whatever comes to mind.”
“Yes.”
He smiled at her. “Okay, one.”
“Mummy and daddy!”
Levi chuckled. “We love you a whole bunch too. How about two?”
“Evan!”
He felt his heart swell. “I’m glad you love your little brother.”
“I do! He’s so cute.”
“That’s wonderful to hear. What’s third?”
She looked over to Bo lying on his back snoring away. She giggled and pointed. “Bo.”
Levi shook his head. “Silly pup. I love him too.”
“Bo is the best!”
He smiled. “What’s fourth?”
She lifted her bear. “Bear!”
He ruffled her hair. “Bear is the best. He fights the bad things so you’re safe in bed.”
She smiled at her bear. “He’s so brave like daddy.”
“Thank you. So, what’s the last?”
Kuchel hummed. “Mummy’s baking.”
Levi squeezed Kuchel tightly. “Her baking is the best ever.”
“Um…can mummy…make cake tomorrow?”
“I will ask mummy.” He smiled. “You ready to get some rest?”
She wiggled down in bed and gazed at Levi. “Ready, Daddy.”
He got up and tucked her in before sitting back down again. “You’re very brave.” He frowned when she started to well up. “What’s wrong?”
“I forgot grandpa and grandma on my list.”
Levi played with his daughter’s hair. “It’s okay. I know you love your grandparents very much. They love you too.”
She smiled before giggling a bit. “Yes.”
You walked into Kuchel’s room with Evan in your arms. “How are we doing in here?”
Kuchel sat up and gasped in delight. “Mummy!”
You sat on the bed and smiled at her. “You feeling better?”
She nodded. “Daddy made it all better.”
You smiled at Levi. “Did he now?”
Levi leaned over and kissed you. “I did my best.”
Kuchel reached over and held her brother’s tiny hand. “I said five things I love.”
You smiled. “The little thing I taught Levi.”
She nodded. “Uh-huh.”
Levi leaned closer and whispered. “Ask mummy.”
Kuchel blushed hard. “Mummy?”
You hummed. “Yes?”
“May I have cake tomorrow?”
“Of course.” You handed Evan to Levi before wrapping your arms around Kuchel and hugging her. “I’ll make a lovely lemon cake for you.”
“Yay!”
You kissed her cheek. “But in order to have it tomorrow, you have to do something.”
She wiggled and lay back. “Sleep!”
You winked at her. “That’s right.” You shifted her hair out of the way. “I love you.”
“Love you, mummy.”
Levi leaned over and kissed her cheek. “You think you’re going to be okay?”
She nodded. “Yes, Daddy. Thank you.”
“I love you.”
“Love you too.”
He adjusted Evan. “Your baby brother loves you too.”
Kuchel giggled. “Love you, Evan.” She sighed. “Daddy? Can I get a story?”
“Sure, what story would you like?”
“Mummy and Daddy love story!”
He chuckled. “Sure. So, a magical princess appeared.”
Kuchel giggled. “Daddyyy.”
He smirked. “Your mummy appeared in a beautiful light.”
“Daddy!”
You giggled. “Levi.”
He hummed a laugh. “Okay, no more silly daddy. So, I set up a wonderful cute tea shop that you love playing in.”
Kuchel nodded. “Yes.”
“I needed help in the shop so I posted a job opening. Your mummy applied along with many others.” Levi smiled as he remembered when he first laid eyes on you. “Everyone was bad, but when I saw your mummy I felt so happy. I hired her on the spot.”
You smiled when you remembered how shocked you had been. “It was a dream come true. I thought your daddy was so handsome.”
Levi blushed. “I thought you were beautiful.” He cleared his throat. “Anyway, she started working for me and it didn’t take long before I fell deeply in love. It took a few months before I told her I cared.”
Kuchel yawned. “So romantic.”
He smiled at his daughter. “I’ll tell you the rest tomorrow.”
Kuchel closed her eyes. “Mm.”
Levi got up and walked with you to his bedroom. He lay Evan in his cot in the bedroom and pulled you against him. “Hello, my love.”
You kissed Levi and purred against his lips. “Hello.”
“I love you so much.”
“I love you too.” You kissed Levi. “You were perfect with Kuchel. Whenever you’re a hunky sweet dad, I just get so…” You sighed. “Damn this body for still healing.”
Levi lifted you up and lay you on the bed. “Let’s cuddle and sleep. Tomorrow we have cake to make.”
You giggled and snuggled up to your husband. “Yes, Levi.”

Hmmm Levi’s young daughter spills her ice cream cone all over herself and thinks he’s going to be mad. He’s always complaining about messes :/ and now her ice cream is gone and she’s so upset!
Levi’s such a big ‘ol softy that he just comforts her and doesn’t mind the mess. Bet he even gets her a new cone 🥺
Taaay this has sat here for months I'm sorry ILY. Also made a minor change as I had a quick idea and ran with it!
Content: Just under 1k words, not proof read, dad Levi fluff!
Ohh Levi hates messes. You yourself have learned to clean extremely well to keep him happy. Sunday is cleaning day and every other day you still keep things neat and organized. Once your daughter comes along, Levi has to learn to adjust because... messes happen. But one of you cleans it right away while the other tends to your daughter.
As she gets older Levi tries to teach her proper cleaning techniques, but it's hard for a six year old, you know? She does try because she loves getting his praises though. She cleans with you both and picks up after herself after playing and all the things you'd expect. Well, she tries, really. However...
Yep, there she goes again. Levis daughter is a clumsy little thing. You or he are always cleaning up after her. Messy with her toys, her arts and crafts, her food. And having her try to help clean it? No, please no, that makes it more of a mess.
You always tell her it's okay and to please be more careful. Levi after a hard days work can't always hide his exhaustion and she can hear it in his voice.
"Sorry daddy!" She's ready to cry and he has to quickly backtrack.
"It's okay pumpkin, daddies just tired." He pats her head and sends her away. He knows that she knows he hates messes and realizes she isn't doing it op purpose. But, how could he have such a naturally messy child?
After dinner one day while you're in the shower and Levi is washing dishes, your little one is sitting in the living room with the ice cream you put in a dish for her. Half way through her show, while it is on commercial, she decides she wants a cone.
"Honey, no, just eat from the dish." Levi says sternly, almost done with dishes.
"It's okay daddy, I can do it!" She puts her bowl on the counter and before he can stop her she's climbed up the counter. Somehow she makes it and pulls a cone from the box and sits on the counter, and with her tiny hands tries to scoop the half melted ice cream into the cone.
"Honey, no!" Levi stops what he's doing and hurries to dry his hands, worried about her falling.
She does not, but ice cream is now running all down her hands and shirt, and the counter.
Levi sighs and closes his eyes as she looks at him with teary ones.
"Why don't you listen to me? And how are you so fast?!" Is she just fast or is Levi getting slower?
She sits there crying as the cold melted ice cream gets everywhere and Levi takes a rag and starts wiping her off.
"Daddy! I- I'm sorry!" She sobs as he cleans her.
He sets her on the floor, careful not to get sticky.
"Just go change your shirt. Can you do that?" He asks without much hope.
"Yes!" She cries out and runs off.
Levi finishes cleaning the counters and cabinets and now the floor that the mess has dripped down onto.
Levi pauses and listens to her sniffles as she comes back in with a new shirt.
"Honey, do you know why I got upset?" He asks softly, getting down to her level.
"Because I made a mess?" She frowns.
"It's not so much that. It's because I was afraid, that you might fall, and hurt yourself." That scared him and made him act more that anything.
"You were scared?" She asks him in surprise.
"Yes, I don't want you falling. I didn't so much mind the mess. But it does bother me you didn't listen but I know you want to be a big girl and do it yourself, and I appreciate it. But please, let me help you next time, okay?" He hugs her.
If a six year old could feel relief that is what is washing over her right now. "You're not mad about the mess?" She squeaks out.
"You know, even daddy makes a mess sometimes." Hardly, he means.
"No you don't!" She giggles because she's never seen it.
"Sure I do, I just clean it up fast!" He pokes her and smiles at her happy reaction.
Then she's frowning again. "What is it?" He had thought things were okay.
"I didn't get to finish my ice cream." She looks down at the floor. She'd only gotten a couple bites.
"Is that all? We can fix that!" Levi picks her up and twirls her and she squeals with delight.
They make her a proper cone together and he makes her hold a paper plate underneath it, just in case.
If Levi hadn't told you what happened while you were in the shower, you never would've known it.
As you all settle in the living room for another little bit of tv time before bed, your daughter situates herself between you.
"I love you mommy." She kisses your cheek, and you kiss hers back and cuddle her.
"I love you too button." You smile and rub her cute little cheeks.
"I love you daddy." She turns to Levi and looks at him like only a daughter who loves her father very much can, and it warms his heart.
"I love you too, my little girl." He hugs her as she clings to him, and after a moment you get in on the hugging too.
You end the night with a kid friendly cartoon episode all about being messy and also cleaning it up.
Your daughters giggles make you happy and Levi hopes she's learned a little something tonight. About listening... and being messy.
She promises to try harder as you both tuck her in, and you assure her she'll get there eventually.
After that she becomes a much better listener, not wanting to ever upset her father like that again. And she also becomes just a tiny bit less messy, with her parents help, of course.
Extra: Here's the episode you watch! hehe
