Five Things to know about Austin Butler’s New Fiance ::

Although his reps couldn't be reached for comment, sources close to the Elvis actor confirm he has popped the question to his mysterious lady love!

Butler and the stunning brunette were recently spotted at the iconic Les Puces market in Paris last Friday, and she seemed to be sporting a new accessory. Austin was dressed in a black leather jacket, a white v neck tee, and black moto boots. She was clad in a classic trench coat and vintage Dior kitten heels as she kept her head down and let the winner lead the way. His face was mostly obscured by aviator sunglasses, but his smile was very apparent according to onlookers. “Austin was holding her hand and pointing out jewelry at different booths. They were very friendly with local vendors and Austin ended up buying her a gold charm bracelet. Since returning stateside paparazzi pics have finally surfaced and revealed a closer look at that ring. Montana based indie jeweler Jada Kaye has been revealed as the designer of that serious sparkler. The 5 carat, flawless emerald-cut emerald is set in solid gold and flanked by two white diamonds on either side. Inside sources told Elle Magazine that Kaye and Butler worked closely together to craft the one of a kind creation. There's even rumored to be an inscription on the inside that's significant to the couple and the ring is estimated to cost a cool $100,000. Austin's fiancè was photographed heading into a ballet studio yesterday wearing pink tights, a pink leotard, Ugg boots, and of course that ring. Her curly dark brown hair was slicked back into a bun and she seemed to be sporting a pair of the actor's sunglasses.

She's from New England —

A, as she's known, was born in Rhode Island. She grew up splitting her time between Rhode Island and Kennebunkport, Maine. Her teenage years were spent working the local Del’s lemonade truck, former neighbors say. She attended the Rhode Island School of Design after high school but never graduated.

She and Austin met via her former job –

Whilst working at the New York location of Vibrant Vintage, A, served as the fashion archives buyer. She also happened to be on hand when Butler visited the store. Supposedly she helped him find the perfect pair of leather boots, and the rest is history. Things clearly moved quickly between the two lovebirds, with A relocating to Los Angeles not long after. According to Vibrant Vintage, she is no longer employed there but “remains a close friend and consultant,” says their PR team.

She organized a birthday party for her man’s co-star and close friend, Callum Turner. Turner posted an Instagram story showing off a fairly large garden party celebration and a “homemade blueberry glaze cake” according to the post. “Huge thanks to Austin's lovely lady xx” accompanied the video footage. She and Austin were also seen dining with his other Masters of the Air co-star, Nate Mann, while in Paris recently.

Notably social media shy, Austin and A have taken up the lost art of handwritten love notes. Sources exclusively say that custom monogrammed stationery was crafted for the duo whilst Austin was filming in England. The hand pressed, vintage inspired paper bears a unique coat of arms style symbol with intertwining letter A’s and two sparrows (Fun fact! Sparrows mate for life and always find their way back, no matter how far they fly). While separated, the couple often writes letters to one another, even having the letters sent via jet instead of mail for privacy reasons!

Choking and gagging, you really give it your all. Fighting to keep your eyes open so you can see the way his lip curls and his eyes slam shut. Talking is always your thing. This time, though, he's sputtering and rasping words of utter devotion and love. Promises to worship your body until the day he dies. My perfect, perfect wife. Why do things feel so different now that you're engaged? You can't get over the way the light hits the ring as you stroke him and something in that dirty girl heart of yours feels like it's really, truly, official when you have to clean his cum off the stone.

He's due back to set for some reshoots a few days later and of course you follow. Bringing throw pillows from your living room to spruce up his trailer and plotting out how to plan the most private, under the radar wedding possible while you lounge in his trailer in a cute little dress you sew yourself from vintage scarves bought in London. Your newest hobby, that and the ballet classes. He yammers on and on about wanting to sneak in and see you dance. You're sure it's just the tights and leotards spurring his interest though, let's be real. The paparazzi are as relentless as ever, but head down with big sunglasses helps keep the chaos at bay.

You visit Disney World, a whole crew, the two of you, your families, friends with their little ones. Thankfully Disney security is familiar with celebrity guests and you can actually let your guard down for once. Which is good, because seeing Austin chase after your friend's newly toddling little ones makes your stomach flip flop with joy. You make a mental note to expedite the wedding plans, he makes it known that he's chomping at the bit to be a father. When you visit Main Street, you decide a pair of new Mickey ears are in order. Gold stitching with Mrs. Butler is what you finally decide on after Austin's encouragement, his hand on your lower back as you walk miles and miles around the park with hands full of churros and cotton candy. Sure, some overzealous fans snap cell phone pics of you with your ears and immediately post them to those ridiculous Austin fan blogs who've now decided you are the evil villain in his story. You won't allow them to burst your Disney bubble though. Your fairytale is just beginning after all.

I have a lot of thoughts about the PROCREATE DREAMS announcement

No, ok, I gotta talk about this now because no one else in my specific tumblr bubble is and I’m actually really so so excited for this because this is an actual absolute game changer for the indie animation scene and beginner animators. So I’m gonna do what I never did before on this blog and write an actual real blog entry here.

At the 8th of September, the people behind the IOS drawing and Illustration app Procreate announced a completely new app focusing on motion design and animation. The announcement trailer and the event of the announcement can be found here:

Fellow artist that use Procreate know about the incredible advancement this app made in the illustration and design field by its insanely powerful tools yet Apple-typical simplicity. One thing this app has down to a tee is it’s intuitiveness. Even complete beginner digital artists will find their way around the app quite easily after only a few hours with it. Of course it doesn’t make you a pro artist over night but it gives you fast-to-learn tools to help you on your artistic journey without any hidden fees, account signups or AI systems needed.

Procreate Dreams follows the same approach, giving simple intuitive tools to everyone, not just industry veterans. The app has been announced to launch on the App Store on 22th of November and only cost 20$ in a one-time purchase. This may seem like a usual tech announcement but I want to clarify what this company has just done by creating this app.

If Procreate Dreams turns out to follow its predecessors footsteps in terms of simplicity, richness in features and intuitiveness (and from the looks of it, it will) and continue their user-friendly pricing model, this app will single-handedly change the indie animation scene completely.

Giving tools to everyone to a fair price for them to explore their creativity is not industry standard anymore. Procreate is currently one of the only players on the market that offers such an advanced experience for basically the price of a thrift shop T-Shirt. Everytime I tell someone new to digital art about Procreate and the one-time payment at such a low price too, they will simply not believe me. They expect hidden fees, a subscription model. It’s unthinkable to them that a professional art app would be offered to the consumer in such a way.

So please keep in mind that this is not the norm. This app will inspire a whole new generation of animators and artist and that for the low price of 20$. Even the professional animation industry will be shifted by this. This is a big deal just as the arrival of Procreate was a big deal.

I know this is a magical girl blog, but since you've mentioned indie games, I wanna know which ones are your faves? I assume the list isn't a big one, considering how you dislike horror games...

Pizza Tower (has Horror elements, but it's overrall bonkers and with a bitchin' soundtrack! An update with The Noise as a playable character is in the works!);

AntonBall (and its upcoming sequel, AntonBlast, which it's more close to the Wario Land 4 experience than Pizza Tower);

Captain Wayne: Vacation Desperation (it's not out yet, but it's basically DOOM combined with One Piece);

Freedom Planet (I like how it started off as a SonicTH hack, only for it to grow into its own thing. Things get intense in the sequel!);

Spookware (WarioWare but spooky! And with graphics similar to Paper Mario, too!)

Thunder Ray (it's Punch-Out!! but waaay more intense! Like Shonen manga kind of intense!);

Fight Knight (DOOM combined with Punch-Out!! Also has an intense Shonen manga vibe);

Cosmic Boll (A colorful Beat 'Em Up with Sonic-y designs. Most likely discontinued/cancelled);

Kyle & Lucy: Wonderland (Yet another game with Sonic-y aesthetics and gameplay, combined with Felix the Cat. Looks like it has been discontinued/cancelled, sadly);

Friday Night Funkin' (the fact that this game has managed to help Newgrounds stay relevant after the death of Flash is quite an amazing feat!);

Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore (What if CD-i Zelda were its own original thing? And what if it were actually good?);

Pulling No Punches/Punhos de Repúdio (this one's brazilian! A Beat 'Em Up where you fight against antivaxxers with Bolsonaro as the Final Boss!);

Spark the Electric Jester (Sonic, Kirby and Ristar all combined into one);

Hazelnut Hex (a short but sweet Cute 'Em Up);

In Stars and Time (a monochromatic RPG about being stuck in a timeloop);

Cavern of Dreams (N64-styled Collectathon where you play as a cute baby dragon);

Super Lesbian Animal RPG (used to be a MLP fangame, but had to be altered due to copyright issues);

Them's Fighting Herds (same as SLARPG, but as a 1vs1 Fighting Game à la SkullGirls);

My Friendly Neighborhood (okay, this one's actually Horror, but it has heart and passion put into it);

Cuphead (the amount of dedication and research put into the old-timey visuals is admirable. Even the Netflix series is stylish!);

Hades (the Greek Mythos kid in me V I B R A T E S);

Berserk Boy (Mega-Man lookalike with soundtrack composed by Tee Lopes!);

Penny's Big Breakaway (by the Sonic Mania devs! And Tee Lopes works on the tunes, too!);

Undertale (well, duh. Deltarune didn't captivated me as much, though...);

Hollow Knight (not a big fan of MetroidVanias, but this one's got beautiful visuals);

Melatonin (think Rhythm Heaven, but dreamier, pastel-colored and more grounded in reality).

Ally

-Ally’s design is based very off her style in season one, she will always be soft colors and jean jackets to me ‘u’

- She’s wearing a guitar pick necklace, given to her by Austin :)

- They use they/she pronouns

- She's panromantic and asexual (thanks to that one person in my notes on my first hcs post, you opened my eyes, so so real).

- She was the last of the fearsome four to come out. She comes out publicly before Austin does.

- She’s a demigirl but she’s not super open about it. They won’t deny it or anything but she’s doesn’t talk about it very often.

- Ally is autistic with a special interest in music (obviously). She has misophonia (hc based on that episode where she has to fire Dallas).

- Ally and Kira are dating. Kira fell first and was the first to confess.

- They definitely listen to mostly indie pop music and I refuse to take criticism on that.

- Top Albums/Songs: Stranger in The Alps - Phoebe Bridges, Kissing Lessons - Lucy Dacus, the masquerade - mxmtoon.

Austin

- Austin is another one whose design is heavily influenced by his season one style. I don’t know why but Austin is just the color red to me so I don’t think I’ve ever drawn him in a different outfit before. His design is the only consistent one of the four XD

- Also I love making his bleach job way shittier than it is irl because it just fits him.

- His ears are pierced because he thought it would be cool, he and Dez went to Claires for the first set, the other two were done at an actual place. Ally told Austin about how bad piercing his ears at Claire's is after he had already gotten done - so his second and third ear piercings were done at a real piercer.

- He uses he/him pronouns although he doesn’t mind when people use they/them for him.

- He’s bisexual and the third of the fearsome four to come out.

- He and Ally broke up because they both lost feelings and their relationship was originally based on feeling like they had to date because of how closely they were working together (they just both catch feelings easily). It was a consensual decision that they would be better off as friends.

- He and Dez are dating, Dez obviously fell first but Austin confessed first.

- He and Dez always had a “not friends or best friends but a third thing” going on, their friendship was always a bit deeper than just being best friends but they didn’t acknowledge or explore it until after high school.

- They keep their relationship totally private for a while since he thinks neither Trish nor Ally can keep a secret. Austin isn’t public with their relationship for a long while since he didn’t want to come out publicly (as in to like fans).

- Austin has ADHD and he takes meds to help with focusing.

- He’s hyperfixated on the history of pop music, when the show started it was guitar but after making pop for so long it kind of evolved into pop music in general then into the history of pop music.

- He listens to pop and 2010s radio music (as in music that was on the radio a lot so mostly pop but there are some exceptions). And Waterparks, Austin loves Waterparks.

- Top Albums: Double Dare - Waterparks, Fine Line - Harry Styles, Doo-Waps & Hooligans - Bruno Mars.

Dez

- Dez will never have a consistent outfit, it is always different but his style doesn’t really change throughout the series so it doesn’t matter too much. Loud colors, absurd patterns, and graphic tees (me fr tbh).

- His ears are pierced, done by Carrie in the cafeteria of their high school. He also has a stick and poke on their ankle done by her although it’s very faded. (From experience they’re rarely done right and will disappear rq).

- Dez uses all pronouns: he, she, they, xe, it, neopronouns - it doesn’t matter. People tend to use he/him for them but honestly, she wants people to mix it up more (projecting a bit XD)

- They’re nonbinary :3

- He’s gay and demirose (demiaroace) (projecting again). It was the first to come out of the fearsome four, coming out as bisexual sometime in middle school. It wasn’t until late high school that Dez realized they were actually gay and then didn’t realize he was demirose until a lot later.

- Dez and Carrie dated for like two weeks before they realized they weren’t actually into each other romantically, their relationship helped solidify that Dez is gay and Carrie is a lesbian (before either knew they weren’t cis btw, enby ppl are obvi included in both of their identities). They fake-dated through the rest of high school though. It kept Carrie closeted (with the added bonus that guys at her work wouldn’t hit on her as often) and it kept Dez’s thing for Austin under wraps.

- Trish found out that Dez was into Austin relatively early on in their friendship through observation and then interrogating him.

- Dez and Austin are dating, and Dez fell first. He has had a crush on him since like the 5th grade but they didn’t date until after high school.

- He has AuDHD (Autism and ADHD). His special interest is film techniques and they’re hyperfixated on Zaliens. They are a big fan of chewlry, usually wearing a chewlry necklace.

- Dez will listen to anything but his favorites are in the alternative genres.

Trish

- Trish isn’t fully based on any of her styles but I think it fits her ^o^ I like this one way more than any of the other ones I’ve done.

- She has a nose stud and a septum as well as ear piercings (she’s had her ears pierced since she was a baby). She also has a navel piercing, the stud is a heart. Typically she wears gold hoops with her outfits.

- She uses she/her pronouns.

- She’s a lesbian and was the second of the fearsome four to come out. She came out to Dez before anyone else (they were talking about identity crises, Dez told her about Carrie and she came out to him). She came out to Ally and then Austin shortly after.

- She and Jace stayed friends. They didn’t talk for a little while after they broke up but are on good terms now. They talk pretty frequently now.

- Trish listens to mainly rap, R&B, and pop (also mostly female artists. not on purpose it just sort of happens lol).

- Top Albums: Hot Pink - Doja Cat, Ones - Selena, Somethin’ ‘Bout Kreay - Kreayshawn.

- She’s very invested in celebrity drama and talks about celebrities like she knows them personally. Ex: “Did you hear about what Justin did?” (referring to Justin Bieber).

Kira

- Kira’s outfit isn’t my favorite, it’s a little boring I think but she’s very teal and flowy material to me so I incorporated that. I think she’d like lace a lot too (although I didn’t incorporate it into her outfit).

- She wears dangling earrings but rarely hoops.

- She uses she/her pronouns.

- She is bisexual and out publicly.

- Kira and Ally are dating, Kira fell first and confessed first too. Kira started to develop feelings for her near Beach Clubs & BFFs (the KirAlly propaganda episode <333).

- She mainly listens to pop (as is the meta for characters in this show l _ l ).

- Top Albums/Songs: Dancing in the Kitchen - LANY, Ocean Eyes - Owl City, One of the Boys - Katy Perry.

Carrie

- *Carrie doesn’t have a canon last name (beside Wade during Duets & Destiny 👎). The last name I gave her is just her and Piper’s actresses’ last names hyphenated (Hannah Kat Jones and Hayley Erin).

- She was my favorite to draw, oh my gosh. I fully believe she would be Decora Kei. My first drawing of her I never posted because it wasn’t quite Decora and didn’t look right XD. But I really like this design for Carrie ^u^ Decora is so fun to draw!

- Also Carrie with braces is so real, I’m drawing her with them for forever now.

- Carrie has tons of piercings, a lot of them done by herself. 3 of her ear piercings were done on their own and so was her nose piercing. Xe tried to pierce her belly button but it got really infected and she had to take it out (it left a scar :,>). It wants more face piercings but she won’t do any other face piercings alone since it would be close to her eyes (nose bridge and eyebrow piercing).

- She also has a ton of stick and pokes of varying quality. None of them are particularly big or visible.

- Carrie uses she/it/xe and all neopronouns. She really likes glitch/clown/sparks as noun pronouns though ^3^

- She is girlflux (similar to genderfluid but her gender is never masculine).

- She’s a lesbian and she came out right after breaking up with Dez (the second time).

- There were two breakups between her and Dez. The real one which was the one they had played off as a misunderstanding and the second one was the break-off of the fake relationship.

- She was the one to suggest they keep pretending to date, even after they realized they weren’t into each other.

- Xe has ADHD and is hyperfixated on Japanese street fashions ^_^ (She wants to have her own Decora fashion line one day).

- She listens to mostly dance, J-Pop, and electronic music.

- Top Albums/Songs: Oh Yeah Baby! - Cube Natural, Tilt - Nanoray, Sigma - Reol.

Homestuck Kidswap Headcanons

Jade Egbert

Jade loves her dad, but her upbringing left her craving a challenge, causing her to be even more enthusiastic about STEM as well as develop a deep love of soulslikes and notoriously difficult indie platformers.

Jade collects a variety of merchandise, including a solar shield tee shirt, posters (of course) of Dark Soles, super meat boy and a styrofoam replica of artorias greatsword which she uses in early sburb.

she’s also a dedicated cryptid hunter. Jade keeps a lot of gear in her room for this purpose, such as a camera, a pair of binoculars that blink when they sense movement, a note book full of her findings in scrapbook format, and a flashlight that serves as the second allocation to her strife deck. She doesn’t really believe in that stuff, though, but she wants to so badly! Really, she just wants to be the one to take a semi-famous blurry picture. Is that such a crime?

Dove Lalonde

Dove is a whole ass trans woman. She wears a shirt with a lemon on it.

She has a less adversarial relationship with her mom than Rose did, but it is by no means healthier. Dove takes an interest in Mom Lalonde’s hobbies (mixology) just as she takes an interest in Dove's. Momlalonde attempts to support Dove’s interest in fashion design by buying her very expensive fitted suits, which is kind of missing the whole point, so instead of being worn, they sit on mannequins in Dove’s room to be used as inspiration or to reference the patterns. She has to hold her mom's hair back at least once a week.

Rose Strider

Rose wears circular shades, dual-wields swords, and has a pixelated Satan on her shirt.

She is able to compete with Bro head-on in a never-ending game of one-upmanship, much like Rose Lalonde did with her mom, but two-sided this time and much more deadly. Although she’s never won a confrontation, she’s getting closer by the day.

She had a phase where she naively tried to imitate Bro’s style of irony and produced several unfunny and crewed comics, which she is deeply ashamed of and hides under her bed in a safe. Nowadays, she maintains an online cult. None of the other members can tell if anyone else present is there ironically or sincerely. The name of the game is to keep them guessing and create distrust. Rose theorizes that there are four camps her followers fall into.

Those who sincerely find comfort in the community and find the lore fascinating.

Those participating for their own ironic purposes.

A variant on the second camp but instead of actually having their own personas that are made funnier by being in an online cult they’re simply here to troll and hateread, unaware that all the stuff they find the most egregious was most likely posted by those in group number two.

Those who feel the need to “keep an eye on these people”

But the beauty of it is that all these camps look the same from the outside. She keeps a dedicated phone just for the cult, which ends up traveling around the session and into the hands of several characters.

Bro puts her in increasingly dangerous situations beyond anything he has ever thrown at Dave. The house is actually bobbytrapped. This comic by Mmmmalo is a good example of the kind of shenanigans I’m referring to.

John Harley

John basically has no hobbies. John occasionally passes the time by deep-cleaning the entire lab. He has accidentally made dangerous substances on more than one occasion. Now he can do it on purpose if he wants and is really into chemistry. He uses spray bottles.

John lives vicariously through his friends and even entertains the trolls a lot of the time out of boredom, causing him to have a close relationship with Vriska for his whole life that turns romantic over the course of his session. John exclaims in groups of eight, "geeeeeeez!!!" He has no idea she’s an alien, but other than that, he knows pretty much everything about her life and backstory. She pushes him to do dangerous things, even putting Bec to sleep to do so. Because of this, John is able to explore the ruins in their entirety. Even exploring Vale and Skia via the tranportalizers.

He has been awake on prospit for as long as he can remember, but he has no idea that a golden moon where you can see the future isn’t normal, in part because Vriska is very nonchalant about it as well.

HYPERFIXATIONS AND HORROR

Pairing: Vil Schoenheit x reader (platonic or romantic)

Content: requested, gn reader (you/your), autistic reader, fluff, 570 words

Notes: me and the bad bitch I pulled by being autistic <- u and Vil

•Vil insisting on you becoming his main consultant during any horror-themed projects that the film studies club takes on. (Not only that, but indirectly introducing you to other students with the same passion as you in the crew/cast). Even if you have anxieties about messing up, him seeing far too much potential in you to just leave it alone.

•The club itself experiencing an increase in horror-themed short films (Vil insisting it's just because there are so many versions of one genre to explore, but expanding your horizons to work on more than just one type of horror film is a bonus).

•Vil also bouncing ideas off of you (whether you have time to reply or not). And valuing that you're straightforward in your replies (even if others would think its rude, to him it just gets the process done easier).

•Him not just keeping you to one specific job. So far, you've done assistant directing, scripting and costume/ character designs, and him having no plan on stopping there (lighting and set design look tempting for you next) (the 10 fussy members totally not being part of the reason, it's just convenient) (well, maybe a little). Which has given you a better understanding of your strengths and weaknesses.

•But if the set is too hectic, there always being an easy way out to breathe for a few minutes. As his intention is never to overwhelm you.

•Vil being open to any suggestions for making the experience less stressful, as art should be available to all.

•But the strict timetable when it comes to filming also acting as a reliable routine.

•If you're uncomfortable talking face to face, communication online becoming more common in discussions. Or at least talking whilst working on something else.

•Making mood boards together when designing characters and monsters. Hyperfocus coming in handy to get the smallest details down to a tee.

•Him always sending you behind-the-scenes pictures. But it increasing drastically when working on darker shoots. (In the time-lapses of his makeup process that the crew sometimes film for advertisement/ social media content, something that doesn't go unnoticed by fans was how much time he spends on his phone instead of inspecting his makeup in the mirror like usual. What they don't know is that he's sending you full paragraphs on what's happening, complaints and any other thing he can think of).

•When a director for a horror advert he agreed to film allowed him to take a prop from the set, Vil having to stand and hold it whilst you stimmed so hard it tired you out (after that, him trying to get you props more often).

•Vil appreciating it if you talk about the nuance of characters in horror films. Especially villains, as they're the ones he gets cast as (even if they're typically other-worldly beauties or breathtaking tempters, reputation and critical thinking are greatly valued by him when it comes to the approach of these characters).

•Going through films to find antagonistic characters/ villains who aren't just one-dimensional to watch together.

•But also watching the classic thrillers and you both pointing out the details and writing that have affected the horror franchise.

•Trying to find different ways to approach traditional horror tropes.

•Searching through indie films for more character-based horrors.

•Your enthusiasm influencing Vil's approach to horror films, and him finding that he always enjoys working with you (and subsequently becoming fonder of the genre).
