He did fight to save Cybertron in Chaos Theory but also made it pretty clear why he did it. It's not out of the goodness of his heart or any sentimental reasons like that. It's an ego/dominance thing.

Plus his wording when he's trying to convince Optimus to let him go with the Lost Light: "I broke the planet. And that, Optimus, is why I owe it to you - to everyone - to find a replacement."

Replacement.

In other words: I made a mess and can't be bothered to clean it up, so I want to get away from it and find somewhere new to start clean.

I don't think Optimus appreciates the favour.

Megatron x dictatorship is literally his OTP. They were inseparable for four million years. A lot of people died trying.

Admits that the most useful thing about keeping Starscream around is that he can bully underlings into line

Wants to use the humans' nuke to get rid of his troops and reformat them into peaceful drones after they outlive their use because they were "too ruthless" for his perfect peaceful society

Has zero scruples about fighting Deceptigod, just affronted that his own soldiers are being used against him

And basically just drops the Decepticons like a bag of vermin after he surrenders. He never once mentions them of his own accord, other than to insist he has nothing to do with them. Even his surrender speech is something Optimus makes him do as exchange b/c he wants to go on parole. He wasn't planning on making a public address otherwise, he was just going to leave them hanging.

Looking at the publication timeline, Megatron started out as an established Evil McEvilson-type villain similar to how he is in G1 and it's not until Chaos Theory in 2011 that JRo really gave him a sympathetic backstory that drew his characterization away from the bloodthirsty pugno ergo sum warlord into someone who once held ideals about societal reform and remains convinced of his own moral supremacy throughout the 4 mill years of death and war, adding worldbuilding such as Functionism/oppression/government corruption as justification for the beginning of the Decepticon movement. But because the start of the Decepticons was already written in Megatron Origins and every evil thing he'd done up till Chaos Theory can't be retracted and they had to keep Megatron as a villain until his story was no longer central to the Autobot-Decepticon war line, and JRo didn't try to downplay the atrocities he'd committed (some of the most sadistically disturbing things Megatron did were exclusively in MTMTE flashbacks), but rather tried to distance him from them and placed the focus on the juxtapositions to emphasize change, this as a whole just resulted in Evil McEvilson getting turned into Hyper McHypocrite.

#That being said I genuinely enjoyed Megatron's redemption arc in mtmte/ll. It's one of those stories that's very poignant and moving #on an emotional level #even though the plot itself doesn't hold up that much under close scrutiny.#moved this to the tags to make the post cleaner #I would've liked it more if LL used a few more panels to show Megatron Actually Making Friends #instead of shunting him into a parallel universe for idk how many issues in an already limited run #transformers #idw transformers #maccadam #megatron #trying to clear out more screenshots

Making your phone useful🤍

If you're like me, you're going to want to have a phone that is pretty, functional, and productive to the max. We've gotten so obsessed with our phones, mindlessly scrolling, most people don't even realize how they can make they are spending around 3 months a year on their phones (say 6 hrs a day, which used to be my screen time!)

Here I'll be covering some tips to declutter your phone and apps to help boost productivity.

⭐Decluttering⭐

Clean out your gallery:

Delete old screenshots, accidental pictures of the floor or wall, ones with bad lighting, etc. Empty the bin once you're done. You'll get more storage and a cleaner photo gallery.

Delete apps you no longer use:

You know the ones. The apps you downloaded to try out but never bothered to delete? Yeah. Get rid of them. Remove apps that sit unused like Solitaire, etc.

Delete social media:

You heard me. Delete. Your. Social. Media. Especially if you have an addiction. I had the worst Instagram addiction 5 months ago and decided to end it after flunking my math exam. I'm not saying delete your account. Just log out, and delete the apps from your phone. This will prevent mindless scrolling and make way for more productive things to fill your time with. Reinstall the apps once you have more control over yourself.

Sudoku: Good to increase focus

Lithium: E-reader app for mobile phones.

Notion: Vast app for organization

Study Bunny: Study time tracker

C25K (Couch to 5K): Really helps if you want to run marathons easily.

Water Time Tracker and Reminder: Cute graphics to remember to drink your water

Our phones are mines of information, and if used correctly, you can jump miles ahead of the people running in circles on social media, digesting the same content. Delete things that no longer serve you and see how your life and mental health improve. I believe in you. xoxo

before that i just want to mention: i don't think r*pe is funny, i'm not a dark content blog either so i do not really reblog dark content things because i'm sure most of my readers don't want that + I'm just not into that as well. the only joke i was "called out" for once is when i used a "i want xyz character to smack their laptop on my face or tits" which i got from an andrew garfield interview where he read his thirst tweets out loud, at that time i just deleted it because it's alright.

dottores, your mutuals, two of them to be exact, have sent me multiple of your personal blog hate posts about me and not once, have you made one where you talked about me saying an SA joke. you have only claimed that i am a cunt and that i am a gatekeeping bitch hence why i believed this must be the reason why you would suddenly hate me despite the fact we never interacted.

now, I want to address this next, this is from @dottores post which when i got it sent to me, i would've wished she just tagged me right away and said it with her chest, more so not let saetoru talk about her experience but just handle this with me.

yeah :) like people making fun of someone for blocking them for their own comfort. i just don't want to see you, that's all, but i have never send you hate asks nor harassed you, the only thing i did was block the blogs your own mutuals exposed to me.

i didn't mean you here saetoru but i understand that it sounded that way, the phrasing was a little off, for that i apologise that i made you upset with this, english is not my first language, i'm french, and when it comes to this callout post i was so fed up with it that i just posted it without looking for grammar mistakes etc. + this is about one of your friends who deleted their personal the second i announced i got their user, that was something with kaeya, when they sent me a hate ask. i won't expose it here but that person was also the one who blacklisted a friend of mine for liking itto.

i think there is a lot more but i will stop it there, this could've ended differently and i'm sad that it ended this way. They look off to the side and mutter, "Except u started this with ur egg slander" The Sacrifice glares at them with dismay and says, "THE HATE IN YOUR HEART IS OVERTAKING YOU" The Ferrier glares back, smiling through gritted teeth, and replies, "LOOK IN THR MIRROR"

Page three. The Ferrier pinches the bridge of their nose and says, "I can't believe this is what's causing an argument" The Sacrifice puts their hands on their hips and snaps, "I WASNT EVEN SLANDERING EGGS? IM JUST SAYING PERSONALLY IF YOU FORCED ME? I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST EGGS I EAT THEM ALL THE TIME" The Ferrier: "ITS NOT ABOUT EATINF THEM EVEN THO THEY ARE DELICIOUS AND VERSATILE." They roll their eyes and add, "Sorry for wanting to shatter my shell and be birthed anew" The Sacrifice clasps their hands together with a smile, their eyes hidden by their speech bubble, and says, "see thats the thing for me there is no rebirth only resurrection . its not dying and being birthed anew its about dying and then undying . coming back from death with none of the catharsis of newness just being forced to hold on to the old and what you once were ." The Ferrier pulls their hat down over their eyes and argues, "You say that and yet that is the whole point there is never any real birth of newness but just the illusion of it and the necessity to keep that illusion bc there is no coming back anew but taking whatever dead pieces u have and reconstructing some choppy form of a fresh creature"

Page four. The two sit in silence for a moment. Then the Ferrier says matter-of-factly, "Just like how ecstatic state is fake" The Sacrifice glares at them and says, "how DARE you say ecstatic state is fake ." The background turns black as the Ferrier's eyes go wide, gazing dramatically down at the viewer. They thunder, "ITS TEMPORARY" The Sacrifice, also on a black background, holds their palms up with an ecstatic grin. One of their eyes is teary and a bright halo flashes around their head. They answer, "AS ARE ALL THINGS."

Page five. The Ferrier, looking irritated with a cartoony vein popping from their temple, says, "fine. Fine whatever." They turn away with gritted teeth. "I'm gonna go in my egg shell and not come out EVER !!!!" The Sacrifice smiles with a thumbs up and says, "ok you do that im gonna be out here achieving union with the Beloved 👍" The Ferrier turns as far away from the Sacrifice as they can and crosses their arms. Idk how your blog works so feel free to ignore and delete this ask but I have some thoughts I'd like your take on

So platonic yandere Miguel with a teen reader who's crushing on a villain from her universe (im a sucker for the enemies to lovers trope </3). And villain reciprocates feelings but is obviously evil (i can't fix them I'll love them for it) so Miguel HATES it even more.

And I'm imagining that villain is also a yandere so there's just gonna be so much drama like AHDISHDUSHD

But yes this idea has been bouncing around in my head alot

If you give me permission I shall come in here with more thoughts on this if I get them

so, I was thinking of something earlier, and, I forgot to grab a screenshot of it, but, extremely incredibly minor ATSV spoiler, when Miles is being shown the holograms of the Spiderverse, another series of canon events that is shown is every Spider having some sort of Symbiote experience (as in Venom, which, I have to admit, I'm uh, not extremely knowledgeable on Spiderman lore, I've been out of the game with this series since like grade school, I used to be big on DC and TMNT and hero shit, so, yeah)

Reader is just crushing on like, some evil Eddie Brock or some bad boy with a Symbiote, and dedicated/obsessive Papá Miguel instantly recognizes when your moods and behaviors start to change, more rebellious, more moody, you're becoming a bit more assertive, but not always in the good way, you're hurting people, maybe even stealing and other petty crimes. He presses you on who you've been hanging out with because APPARENTLY you've been sneaking off your watch so you can't inherently be tracked or spied on or contacted

Some drama ass shit like, Miguel has been trying to reach you because you both have some sort of really sentimental or important date coming up, maybe the anniversary of when he first met you or your birthday or his birthday where you both were supposed to do something nice together, something that's been planned and talked about for ages, and then, this rebellion stuff begins and, the date comes and you completely ghost him, he can't find you, contact you, he's frustrated and angry but also worried because what if you're hurt? What if his baby girl is HURT 🥺 SURELY that's the ONLY reason you wouldnt show up and break your poor stressed beloved daddy's heart liks this 🥺 and he finally finds you and you're totally fine, it's just like "haha sorry 'dad' I was getting railed by my evil big tall hunky villain boyfriend and also I have a Symbiote now, look at my spooky black costume, im evil now :)" and here's Miguel like "NOOO PRINCESA 😭😱✝️", but, technically he's only able to interfere in certain ways, like, maybe he can pressure you to break up with this guy but your Symbiote is canon and whether you defeat it and get rid of it or somehow master it and befriend it like say Ghost Spider, that isn't up to him, he can only pressure you but he can't MAKE you do anything, at least, not directly

You're running around having your rebellious Evil Girl Autumn and he's trying to, you know, steer you back onto the path of righteousness and all that and the harder he tries to control you the angrier you're getting until you're even losing your temper and throwing things at him or eventually physically attacking him (to which he's forced to overpower you which, you two have sparred before but this is different and it breaks his heart). You throw your watch at him and tell him to go fuck himself, that you hate him, that you never want to see him again, but you're crying and he takes this as a sign you aren't serious (which, you aren't, not 100% completely, you kinda lowkey ARE having a huge temper tantrum and rebellious phase and being a criminal brat, but, like.... spiderverse babyyyy we got Spider powers, shit has no consequences, or so it feels like to you at the time, and the Symbiote is maybe questionably evil and corrupting your thoughts)

Oh I just realized you said teen reader and here I am talking about getting railed 💀 maybe the villain is a teen too or just a few years older than you but either way like. Miguel doesn't want his sweet innocent pure virginal baby girl having sex! With anyone! Especially before marriage! (Although i was hearing he's kind of a slut in the comics?) He ever finds that shit out it's like, A CRISIS EVENT. He's like that one stereotype of brothers/fathers who hate seeing their sister/daughter date because that's the baby the raised/grew up with. Picture having an argument with him and you're just trying to piss him off and like, it's true but in anger you say "OH YEAH? oh YEAH??? Well, well, you know how you hate Hobie Brown so much?! We've been dating JUST TO MUTUALLY SPITE YOU, and you know what, i actually like him, and he likes me! Maybe we'll hook up for real! Maybe I'll FUCK HIM, DAD :) maybe we'll HAVE A BABY TOGETHER, DAD :)"

Like girlie nooooo you're getting put into The Biggest Time-Out The Multiverse Has Ever Seen. You think getting locked up in a room would be bad, NO, because at least you'd have some vague sense of privacy and personal space. You're now on 24/7 Daughter Duty, with him literally all the time except for, bathing and that stuff. He's dragging you around, making you accompany him, controlling what you're allowed to do, really an extended prolonged punishment. Hss making you sit in his office or whatever while he works and you'll be absolutely fucking bored out of your mind because you're basically given nothing to do, have no phone, no tasks really. He's not outright hurting or abuse you but it's a kind of psychological burden for you, but from his perspective he's just, basically guarding you like a dedicated father, protecting his baby from tarnishing her reputation, her body, and otherwise when he isn't there. CLEARLY he has a lot more fathering to give you than he originally thought

GUYS WAKE UP NEW SONIC PRIME INFO JUST DROPPED!!!!!!!!!!!

I just found an article about Sonic Prime's final arc! and omg!!!!!!! i have to go over each part to like, process it, this is crazy!!!

First of all, the synopsis!!!

Alright so first things first, "as unstable as it's wielder"? are they talking about Nine? he was angry in the teaser, sure, but i wouldn't have called him unstable. It seems history is repeating itself with Nine, who just like Thorn and Dread, might become a little crazy while in possession of the shards. I wonder how that would look on him, considering he prefers to hide his feelings under an aloof mask.

Second, it seems the energy inside of Sonic is finally relevant again, once Nine fixed Sonic's gloves, it kind of only served to explain why Sonic could enter the shatterspaces. I wonder who makes the discovery that the prism needs Sonic's energy, the most likely answer is Nine, which means that he might try to capture Sonic, which reminds me of that the scene where Nine talks about Sonic's energy while claiming they "need him alive". That part about Sonic shattering though...i wonder if they mean Sonic being shattered into different counterparts like the rest or something else. Also, congrats to everyone who theorized about Sonic making a big sacrifice at the end!

After the synopsis we get a few screenshots from part 3, but there are two i want to highlight.

Now here we can see Sonic running from a bunch of birdie robots, now this tells us two things, 1)Nine will not limit himself to just attacking someone if they're in the Grim, (though whether he's trying to capture Sonic for his energy, or because he knows Sonic will never stop trying to get back the prism, and wants to get rid of the threat to his plans that Sonic is asap, we'll have to wait and see) and 2) Nine will not just make one of each robot, which...makes sense actually, i suppose since i'm used to robot copies being treated as something special, it didn't occur to me that Nine could and would mass produce them, it feels very in character for him though.

so... iii18, right? let's get into my theories. these all tie together in some way

mephone4s's return, or attempted return

My main theory coming out of this is the idea that Walkie is going to attempt to upgrade mephone4 back to 4s. this is mostly backed by potential foreshadowing. not only are there several references to 4s in the episode, but it is also possible that his voice can be barely heard during a point in mephone's dialogue. (EDIT: This was likely just me being overanalytical and not actual evidence. My bad!)

the amount of foreshadowing could lead to him reappearing as a construct or replica (i.e. springy's toys), but I think the second piece of evidence points to him returning through mephone4.

a bit more on this would be the fact that iii references season 1 a lot. think about tyler and the amount of times characters jumped off a cliff. iii was supposed to be the return to s1's tone, wasn't it? a parallel or reference to the finale is almost expected. especially since that already happened, as helpfully pointed out in the episode

i don't know why this would be the plan of action, possibly just to get rid of mephone. maybe I'm misreading the foreshadowing, im not sure.

walkie talkie is a meeple device or at least affiliated, and springy is a meeple generated construct

so there are a lot of questions when it comes to walkie talkie.

why does she want to take over the show?

why is she trying to delay its end?

why is she hiding her appearance?

how did she learn about iii in the first place?

where did she get the means to do any of this?

Walkie is obviously Cobs with a girl filter My theory is she is a Meeple device, or at least Meeple-affiliated. It would explain why she wants to keep the show running, as Meeple do profit off of it, and why she'd want to keep it at season 3, as s2 was decidedly anti-meeple.

Her being a meeple device would explain why she never shows herself or shares any details on her identity, as she would immediately lose trust with mephone.

also that "all we need is revolutionary technology!" line from episode 17? that was very interesting.

on top of that, she somehow knew practically everything about the third season before the airing of any in-universe episodes. importantly, she knew about the location of it. if my theory holds, that could easily be explained with her having access to meeple tech and therefore being able to track mephone.

regardless of her means, she's been watching.

as for springy, my main piece of evidence to him being a meeple-generated construct is how he glitches. he doesn't glitch like a robot, he glitches like a construct.

to show the contrast, i added mephone glitching. you can see that the glitch effect is only applied to his software, while springy and the glitched construct tree have the effect applied to their physical forms. (Ignore the fucked bitrate for the springy screenshot, youtube does not like the glitching)

on top of that, springy has his weird philosophies, fixation on robots, corporate everything, and suspicious spaceships.

i am of the belief that walkie may have orchestrated the sponsorship to get either closer to everything happening or more control.

Dazai out here like "I just know he's going to ask too much of her, and that could have grievous implications when it comes to being a vampire." As much as it might be a throwaway line, I gotta say I see that amongst his concerns. And tbh I think he means it both in the sense of bloodlust but also in the sense that Charles is a bit wayward with his self-control (not entirely Charles' fault). Dazai out here like "I know this little shit ain't got an ounce of foresight, and I hate this for my best girl." No beef to Charles, but the man lives in the present (in some ways by circumstance) and I can see how he might not be able to have MC's best interests for the future in mind (he's got a lot of healing to do).

i didn't even post when this happened a few weeks ago bc i was honestly so frustrated and upset i shut down, but i lost all my ts4 saves. i mentioned a weird bug where my packs were installed but didn't show up in game-- sources point to origin/ea app switch mess-up (can't dwell on this or i will get furious). so i had to do a complete reinstall of the game-- not just through ea myself, using revo to get rid of all files related to the game. yes i made a backup, something got lost/failed and all my saves are gone. i wasn't really playing anymore, but... you know the stomach-dropping feeling when a save you've had for literally 8 years disappears. thank god my tray files survived or idek what i would've done.

i'm bringing this up bc i was working on vivienne's pinterest board and i honestly miss her so much... i don't need to explain, simblrinas understand how demotivating it is to lose a save :'( it's been a while but i always hoped to revisit some of my gameplays at least to post little updates, i mean i never even showed arabella being born or the magazine spread i made when viv & mckenna moved to sulani. but now looking back at the screenshots i have of their gp has a totally different feeling :(

just wanted to vent about that, but on the bright side i'm excited to render with vivienne! hopefully a lookbook is incoming 👀

Hi, I love building in my game and only recently starting doing it within the past 8 months but for some reason I find them quite lacking, like for some reason I don’t understand layouts, idk they always seem awkward to me. What do you use as references and how can I improve? Also if you don’t mind how do you take such great photos? Taking screenshots in my game have never seemed that impactful like yours do even with my reshade preset.

Here comes a really long winded answer because I'm overly procedural and detail oriented, lol. To improve your understanding of how to design layouts I would recommend a combination of the following:

Before you build, figure out what architectural style you're going for, and then study some floorplans online to get a sense of how those homes are typically laid out. Here is a website that has thousands of floorplans for homes of many different sizes and architectural styles that you can familiarize yourself with.

Spend some time planning what rooms you know you want to include before you build. Decide if this home would suit an open concept, or a more traditional home layout when you are choosing which rooms need to be included.

Once you know how many rooms, then decide how large these need to be (I tend to think in terms of furniture placement). I always design my houses around the kitchen, living, and foyer/entrance space. These are the key areas that I enjoy decorating and are the focal points of the home, and once I have figured out the placement and footprint for these, the rest of the rooms come naturally. For example, it makes sense that a panty is located right next to the kitchen. It makes sense to put a formal dining area near the kitchen too, etc.

Always think about the way that rooms connect to each other in real life. Hallways. I was so terrible when I first started building at accepting that some of my floorplan is there just to connect sims to other areas of the home. Hallways are now some of my favorite things to make beautiful.

If you can, for fun, go to some open houses in your area. This is one of my favorite 'hobbies' - I'm lucky to live somewhere that has a yearly parade of homes from high-end luxury builders and I adore walking through and learning about the spaces they designed.

Practice makes progress. Don't be afraid to save your lot, name it version one, then start over and fix what isn't working. Saving an earlier version gets rid of the fear that you'll make things worse and not be able to get the original back! Regarding part II of your question: Reshade aside, I pay a lot of attention to building to capitalize in-game lighting situations because this gives shots that extra umph of atmosphere. Then, I use the in-game camera the same way that I would a real camera. Focusing on details that would catch my eye if I were there in person, and using tab mode and the w, e, s, d keys to 'walk through' builds in a more first person perspective. This will help you see different and more interesting compositions for your screenshots.

In chapter 3 when introducing the Minamoto's Hanako says this

We met Shuten Doji, Hakubo worked for him, but what about the other two? This may be a stretch but I think that one of them might be the "God" from the red house, I find really interesting that they are described as more powerful than God, few times there is a mention of a God in TBHK correct me if I'm wrong but there are three that I've noticed, when Hanako talks abt his deal to pay for his sins, when Amane describes the creature and this one.

It could just be something unimportant that Will not be metioned ever again and just to include more japanese mithology, but the fact that one of them has appeared in the story feels weird

What are your thoughts about my insane theory?

It's interesting, isn't it?

I always thought about the possibility of there being two Gods, because of the contradictions. Hanako works for a God, along with the other mysteries, but this God wants the seals not to be removed, in fact the mysteries are there to keep everything in order.

At the same time, we have the God of Tsukasa, the one who lives under the red house. The God who was considered dangerous and who was apparently sealed away. The God that Kako mentioned, and if he is weak, only increases the possibility that he is the "unwanted" God, the one who is in custody of the mysteries.

If Hanako is the traitor, the one who is with Tsukasa to remove the seals, then he is betraying one God and helping another.

God 1: If you do your duty, you will be forgiven, do not remove the seals and keep everything in order.

God 2: If you remove the seals, you will gain a wish and ask for whatever you want.

God 1 = unknown God 2 = Creature that is inside Tsukasa

The mysteries follow God 1, and are trying to keep everything normal. Kako trying to get rid of Tsukasa is a sign too.

Hanako follows God 2 to save Tsukasa.

Okay, but what does this have to do with what you asked me? It's just that, who knows, these two could be these Gods? So, the two Gods that are left, could be these two that you mentioned.

If they exist, were mentioned, and one was killed, maybe it's them.

The village God does not have a physical form, because he was not shown to us, or perhaps because he was very weak, there are several reasons.

But what I wonder most is: who is the God who is protecting the school?

Hmm……..

My top 10 girlies. If I had to get rid of all but these (and I might), these are the ones I couldn't bear to part with.

Shamsa Kabil Nasr Mansour (back left), aka This Poor Girl, broke my heart a little when I first saw the treatment she had received from previous owners. I just want to hug her and tell her everything will be all right, even though she may have to go to the hospital in the future. Her eyes are still messed up and will never sit right, so she wears glasses. She was so damaged, I decided her backstory would include surviving a military attack on her home. She currently lives with her aunt, uncle, and big sister in the US, where she is learning to read and speak English.

Ivy Ling (front left) is practically perfect, and fits in nearly every modern decade. I love her unique eyes.

I wanted a Ruthie (Ruth Ann Smithens, back row) doll for some time, but not AG's Ruthie, because she didn't look like the books. Everything magically fell together (seriously, I wasn't even looking for a face and ran across the head on eBay, and they eyes and wig were the first things to fall out when I opened their respective containers) and Ruthie was born. I think she looks a bit like Liesel Matthews from the 1990s version of A Little Princess, too.

LaRae Bliss Turner (front) was an accidental find. I had been lowkey looking for an Addy mold doll for about a year, and knew I wanted different eyebrows. I kept coming back to the listing, even saving a screenshot and finally decided that she was the right doll for me. I'm still working on her backstory.

Blaire Wilson (middle back): I thought I didn't like Blaire. Blaire was blah. She had hobbies I wasn't interested in, I don't like her name, and the previous dolls I had seen had those weird downcast eyes. Then I was looking for a secondhand version of Rebecca's Hanukkah outfit and found a listing of this girl dressed in the full outfit. The price wasn't bad, and I thought I could always donate the doll if I didn't like her. Well, she's grown on me and now I can't make myself give her up.

Annika Jessalyn Nazarbayev (middle front): Annika was one of my very first dolls, and is the doll I've had the longest. Since she was originally Jess, I tied her story into that. She's Jess's niece (her mom, Heather, is Jess's older sister), and her middle name is a nod to Annika's past and her character relationship to her aunt.

Nellie Brigid O'Malley (back): I gave my Nellie a middle name to distinguish her from AG's version. She's another book-based character doll, and might just be my favorite. Don't tell the others.

Tabitha Danielle Crow (front): I never intended on keeping Tabby. I bought her as a damaged Rebecca to fix up and donate, but now I don't want to let her go. Her last name actually belongs to a friend of mine; the two of them look like they're related.

Dubheasa Ni Mhaoileidigh, aka Dovie, (back right): Dovie is also an ex-Rebecca and since, logically, I do not need 2 Rebecca-based dolls (nor 4 Josefina molds, nor 2 Josefina mold redheads with green eyes), I shouldn't keep her. Emotion trumps logic though, and I keep bringing her out. She has a sweet, timeless look that I wish AG played more into.

Last, but not least, Apolline Renee Kincaid: I bought her as a semi-dupe for Cecile who was retired well before I started collecting. I also have a penchant for creating my own characters and wanted a 1920s girl (I came up with the character about a year before the first mentions of Claudie), so she lives near New Orleans during the end of the Harlem Renaissance movement there. I love that she has the older Sonali face mold. Apparently I prefer the older dolls, as I didn't choose to keep any of the ones I had bought that were recently released.

jealousy is my toxic trait. i can't get rid of it. the only thing i can do to diffuse these awful feelings is to demote the close relationship that I had, into basically an acquaintance.

a few years ago now, i had a very special mutual on my main blog. we bonded over our common interests, as is the tumblr way, and got quite close. we even met in person a couple of times bc she's from sydney and i'm in melbourne. back then I considered her my best friend.

well, it's a hard pill to swallow when you realise you're not someone elses best friend.

i remember it happening in real time. 'X', another tumblr user from fucking germany, was a mutual of both of us. would join us in reblog chains, comment on my art, and message my friend directly. and i could see them getting closer. my friend would send me screenshots of their messages, showing me how funny X is.

and i couldn't stand it. 'go away, she's my friend!' I wanted to scream.

it got worse and worse. they were talking everyday, tagging each other. my friend and I had less and less fandoms in common. we ended up only talking about our personal lives, and as we're both introverted nerds, personal updates were few and far between.

i couldn't get rid of these stupid, shitty feelings. i couldn't ignore their public friendship all over my dashboard. and i sure wasn't going to tell her to stop being friends with someone, how awful and entitled that would be!

so i had to unfollow her. and at some point she unfollowed me. we still chat sometimes over fb messenger, and she likes my personal ig posts and vice versa. but thats pretty much it. I hadn't felt those awful jealous feelings in years.

and then just ten minutes ago, simple curiosity took over me and I had to search her up on tumblr. its been so long that I actually forgot her username. I had to scroll through my old messages to find it.

and what do i see on her account? that she literally used 3 hours ago? reblog after reblog of X tagging her in posts and vice versa. daily correspondance. their friendship still very much alive and thriving and its making me sick to my stomach.

it sucks. im so fucking jealous.

she was my friend. my person to tag in posts like 'tfw your mutual lives in another state ;_;.' my person to message incoherent words like AKJFLSGKFG. she was my person.

god how fucking toxic is that mindset?! but what am i supposed to do! its a never-ending loop of shitty feelings. i cant fucking do anything. stupid.

Saw a post made by a Daemon fan (not hater a fan) saying Daemon would’ve usurped Jace and crowned Aegon. Understandably it got a mixed reaction, people either saying “Daemon would never!” or them agreeing with OP.

Thoughts?

So I'm admittedly a huge sucker for blended families. That means that in this situation, I like to think that Daemon at the very least got along with his stepsons, same with Rhaenyra and the twins. So, in my little headcanons, no, Daemon wouldn't have usurped Jace.

However, outside of my wishful thinking, I still am not inclined to believe it. Daemon's love of Rhaenyra is a pretty integral part of his character, a part GRRM himself has declared his favorite.

So, I think that, due to how much Rhaenyra loved her sons and how much Daemon loved Rhaenyra, he wouldn't harm them, if only because of Rhaenyra. He also would end up with his blood on the throne if Jace succeeded Rhaenyra (the main reasoning for Daemon possibly doing this is wanting his blood to rule), through the marriage through Baela. Jace's children would be Daemon's grandchildren, therefore, Daemon's blood is on the throne.

There's also the fact that in the book, there's no evidence that Daemon disliked his stepsons. Given how obsessed the writers of the Dance are with demonizing Daemon and Rhaenyra, passing up the opportunity to exploit any divide in their relationship wouldn't make sense. Daemon plotting to, or even giving hints that he'd want to usurp/ get rid of the Velaryons would be talked about a lot if it happened.

The writers love trying to make Daemon and Rhaenyra seem divided, as we see in the Nettles situation. There being no indication of this in the text if they believed there was any chance Daemon would do that makes no sense. We could even read into Daemon's letter to avenge Luke that he had some level of fondness (though that might be reaching).

Daemon isn't the warmonger HOTD made him out to be, he and Rhaenyra both made offerings of peace to the greens before Luke's murder. I don't think he'd want to plunge the kingdom into civil war just to accelerate his blood's ascension. It also is pretty unlikely Daemon would outlive Rhaenyra, so he most likely wouldn't even have the chance, if he would do it. I honestly think a lot of his fans who want him to hate his stepsons/Rhaenyra want their version of Daemon, who they are attracted to, to be canon.

There are people in TB and Daemon fans who dislike Rhaenyra and her children. I find these people to be annoying and I disagree with them a lot. This is one of those times. I don't believe Daemon would usurp Jace, whether because of my idealized relationship headcanon or simply because of love for Rhaenyra.

Might be a hot take, but I’ve always thought that Johnny is Kreese’s weakness, and Daniel is Terry’s. Like, I know some people think Terry’s weakness is Kreese (and to some extent, yes), but Daniel seems to be his absolute obsession, his total undoing. Kreese at least had the best friends/comrades in arms thing, but the Daniel thing is just plain weird from any side. This once 17 year old brat has such a hold on Silver that the man threw away 30+ years of peace at the mere mention of his name. It was never about Cobra Kai. It was always about Daniel.

YES. I completely agree. And as more time has gone by since Season 4 came out, I've noticed even the more casual fans have noticed. Someone took this screenshot from YouTube, but I've seen similar comments on reddit too.

And Kreese, being another master manipulator, knew exactly what he was doing when he brought up Daniel to Terry again in 4x01...

There was literally no reason for Kreese to bring up Daniel LaRusso unless he knew that Terry would care. Why would Terry care. 👀

Kreese knows how to get people to come to him. How to dangle something that they want in front of them that only he can seemingly give.

When no other tactic worked on bringing Terry back into the fold, Kreese brought out the big guns and dropped Daniel's name.

Not to take away at all from the love and friendship that Terry felt towards John. But it became nostalgia and obligation, ultimately ruining their bond.

Little side note-- the fact that we watched Kreese make others do what he says in order to get what they want for three seasons made the prison scene in 5x07 even more satisfying:

AND the first person to play the uno reverse card and use this tactic against Kreese was Daniel. Terry's student. You gotta love it.

There's always been a little Cobra Kai in you...

I mean, we could speak at length about the parallels between Kreese and Terry and their star students Johnny and Daniel. The narrative mirrors and foils. But it's precisely their respective relationships with their students that is more compelling.

Anyway. I'm going to quickly list examples of Daniel's hold on Terry and then focus on the meat of the issue.

Terry falls apart and goes ALL IN on everything Cobra Kai only AFTER Daniel rejects his apology.

Terry gives Daniel multiple warnings to not interfere but never tries to gets rid of him like Johnny or Kreese after no warnings at all.

Terry dated a woman who looked a lot like Daniel with similar values.

Terry treats Kenny near identically to Daniel as a student but in the sincere way he wishes he had with Daniel.

Terry loses his cool when Daniel wants to surrender and walk out of his life.

Terry tells Chozen he considers Daniel his only rival. As in Equal.

I'm sure there's plenty I'm forgetting but you can find posts in the silverusso tag about all these topics and more. x.x

Now, let's get to one of the most important and defining scenes for Terry's arc. And again, it's a direct result of Kreese's manipulation:

Kreese, knowing what makes Terry tick and how to get him further on his side, comments that Daniel really knows how to hold onto a grudge. As if he doesn't. Anyway, it's twisting the knife into Terry again when he's clearly already low.

You don't think Kreese noticed how hurt Terry was at the rejection?

He notices everything. He learned in Vietnam from his Captain how to use love against someone as a perceived weakness. Many thoughts on that.

Anyway

The way in which Kreese says, "So... what now?" Tells me that he told Terry this was going to happen. You also have to remember their conversation leading up to the garden scene:

Terry was damn near close to defending Mr. Miyagi and Daniel over Kreese's own personal grudge. To the point where Terry was rolling his eyes and sighing over his friend being overdramatic about what happened in the past.

He was tired of hearing about it.

I'm sure Daniel told Terry the truth about that Halloween night. And look who Terry seems to side with...

Kreese wanted violent retribution and Terry was the one that talked him down. It was Terry's idea to apologize to Daniel and we'll just allll get along. Easy peasy. Surely, Daniel would forgive him.

But, Daniel proved Kreese right in Terry's eyes. As I'm sure Kreese hoped would happen. Couldn't have worked out better. I bet on the car ride over to Miyagi-Do, Kreese was complaining how this was a waste of time and LaRusso isn't the sweet kid you remember etc.

From that day forward, Terry is determined to prove Daniel wrong. About him, about Cobra Kai, about everything. Terry is going to make Cobra Kai work and help kids and he'll be the best sensei ever and Daniel will be sorry!

You'll be sorry you weren't a part of it!

I firmly believe that Daniel is Terry's true weakness and he didn't even realize it. But Kreese did.

And if Daniel had seen it, then he could've had Terry eating out of the palm of his hand.

The one movie quote they haven't used in the show yet is, "For person with no forgiveness in heart, living even worse punishment than death."

I'm hoping they'll use this with Daniel realizing he can help heal himself, and Terry, by forgiving him. Of course, Terry will have to do something more to redeem himself. I'm just saying.

And then maybe Terry can see that Daniel was his weakness all along, but there's still time to make him a strength.

One could argue that he already felt that way while he was being arrested. The way he was looking at Daniel... That awe. Daniel LaRusso got the best of him, again, all because he couldn't let him go.

Here's to hoping that Season 6 ends our suffering lmao.
