a/n: this is lowkey inspired but true events, except there is no lee heeseung in my school :( I also didn’t speak to anyone but anywayyy hope you enjoy!! :)) idk how I feel about this fic but please let me know what you thought!

The first time your eyes glanced at him, you had to do a double take because you couldn’t believe your eyes.

How the most handsome and beautiful person resided at your school and you’ve never noticed. You like to think you’re observant, knowing most of the people who went to your school, even if you didn’t talk to them. Clearly missing this boy though.

After the bell rings, signifying the end of your first period class, you begrudgingly pack your bag, slip in your headphones, and head out to walk to your next class.

You don’t know anyone in your first period class that well, so you walk to your second period class alone, and meet your friend in the class.

Listening to your music through your headphones, you make your way through the busy hallways of your school as all the students make their way to their next classes. Many people are walking through the halls, so you don’t even realize what you see.

He’s laughing at something the guy beside him said, flashing that bright smile to you, and everyone else walking in that hall. You can’t help but look back to take one more glance, deciding that he is the cutest person you’ve ever seen.

After the two seconds of admiring that mystery student’s appearance, you pass each other as you carry on making your way to your next class, going opposite ways.

You end up seeing the boy one more time that day. Walking to the cafeteria with your friend, Ryujin, you take a seat and begin talking about random things. Your eyes were merely glancing around the room, and you didn’t realize it was him if it wasn’t for that beautiful smile he seemed to always be wearing. He’s sitting with a group of boys a few tables down from you and Ryujin.

You didn’t even realize you were staring until Ryujin interrupts you, “hello, y/n? Are you even listening?”

You snap out of it and look at her. “Oh, sorry. What were you saying?”

She narrows her eyes at you, “Who were you staring at?” She turns to follow your rough line of view to see who you could’ve been looking at. Except there are so many students in the room, it’s hard to tell exactly where you were staring off to.

“No one. Nothing. Don’t worry about it.”

Ryujin narrows her eyes suspiciously once again, yet drops the subject and carries on with the conversation you two were having before you zoned out.

You forget all about the boy until the next day.

As usual, you leave your first period class and start walking to your next period class. You notice him once again, a small smile still present on his face. He still doesn’t look in your direction, but you don’t mind. You’re completely fine with just admiring his beauty from afar.

During lunch, you glance around the cafeteria to see if the boy is in the same spot, and fortunately, he is. However, you make sure not to stare too much, as you don’t want Ryujin questioning you once again.

This same thing repeats the next few days. You pass him in the hall, just glancing, while he doesn’t even spare a glance in your direction. And then again at lunch, looking to make sure he’s still in the same spot with the same boys, the cute smile always on his cute face.

You have come to accept that you had a small crush on this mysterious boy you knew nothing about, just finding him very cute and attractive. You knew it meant nothing, just a silly little crush on a cute boy from school.

You never thought you would actually talk to him, until one day, when you were heading to the bathroom during your first period class to get a break from the class and some much needed alone time.

The second you left your classroom, you played the music from your phone, hearing it from your headphones, and headed to the bathroom. The hallway was completely silent and empty, a complete contrast to what the hallway was like in between classes.

With your headphones in, you didn’t hear the other footsteps in the hallway, and as you turn the corner, you walk directly into a nothing person, the both of you falling down from the harsh impact.

“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! Are you okay?” You look straight in front of you to see your little hallway crush boy sitting on the floor opposite of you.

Your eyes widen as you realize who he is. You can feel your heart beating out of your chest.

So much for a good first interaction with him.

He quickly stands up onto his feet and walks over to you, sticking his hand out to help you up. “I should be asking you that. You fell pretty hard.”

Yeah, for you, you want to say.

But you ignore your thoughts and smile up at him, mumbling a quick, “thank you,” as you take his hand and he pulls you up. “Um, I’m okay. Are you fine?”

“Yeah I’m fine,” he chuckles.

The two of you stand there in awkward silence, avoiding eye contact, for what felt like forever. You don’t want to leave, wanting to actually talk to him for the first time, but nothing was coming to your brain.

Oh, maybe you can ask for his name!

You were about to, when he interrupts your thoughts, “Well, I should be getting to class now.” He gives you a small smile as he continues to walk the way you came from.

What the fuck. Should you call him back?

You turn around to find him long down the hall, too far for you to appropriately talk to him from this distance.

You sigh and continue your way to the bathroom.

You just hope that you’ll get another chance to talk to him.

When you returned to your class, all you could think about was that brief interaction with that boy, and how you’re about to see him again after class.

Which came too fast, and you threw your things in your bag to run out the door in order to see him.

Walking down the hallway, you notice him down the hall, looking down at your feet getting ready for him to pass. After a few seconds, when he gets closer, you look up at him.

And your biggest fear happens. He looks back at you.

Not only does he look at you, but he smiles too.

And what do you do in response? Look back down at your feet.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, what was that?

You could’ve at least smiled back.

You look back up at him, but realize that two seconds went by too fast and you already passed him completely.

You’ve been waiting for this moment for so long but fucked it up in a second. Two times in the same day.

When you arrive at the cafeteria later that day, you make sure to check again to see the boy. This time, Ryujin decides to confront you.

“Okay, that’s enough, y/n,” you turn back to face her, eyes wide with confusion. “Who are you looking for? I’ve tried to keep track, and I know it’s someone in one of those tables.” She gestures to the general area where your crush and his friends are sitting.

“Oh it’s nothing,” you laugh it off, “just someone I find kinda cute. I don’t even know who he is.”

She raises her eyebrows at you, “You’ve been watching him for days and you don’t even know who he is? But more importantly,” her expression turns more serious, “you have a crush and didn’t tell me?!”

You roll your eyes at Ryujin’s exasperation, “it’s not that big a deal.”

“It’s a huge deal! Now,” she turns back in the direction of the boys, narrowing her eyes. “Which one is it?”

You turn your head in the same direction. There are currently a total of four boys fooling around at that table. You immediately spot your crush, a cute smile adorning his lips as he laughs with the others.

“Is it the one with brown hair?”

“Ryujin, most of them have brown hair,” you turn back to her, “It’s fine, you–”

“Is it the one looking this way?”

Your eyes widen and you whip your head back around to look back at the table to see that he was, indeed, looking towards you and Ryujin right now. When he sees you looking his way, he sends a small smile, but you immediately turn back to Ryujin, wishing you could just disappear.

“You dumbass! You weren’t supposed to turn!”

“You told me to!”

“I didn’t tell you to turn around! I just asked if that was him!”

“And how was I supposed to tell you without turning around?!”

“So I guess that confirms who it is then.”

You let out an exasperated sigh, “is he still looking this way?”

“No, he stopped when you ignored him.”

You narrow your eyes at her, “Whatever, let’s just forget about it.”

So you do just that, carrying on with your lunch, not thinking about the cute boy who sneaks glances at you every so often, going completely unnoticed by you. It was also unnoticed by you the way his friends started teasing him about the fact he keeps looking in your direction.

The next day, in your first period class, you’re mentally preparing yourself for your daily hallway walk past. If he looks at you, you’re going to say hi. If he doesn’t, no big deal. You’ll just carry on like normal. No big deal.

Except it is a big deal, because you’re getting nervous. You start to get nervous whenever it comes to him, but you just blame it on your little crush.

The bell rings and your nerves start up again. You rush out of the room like always, hoping to see him as soon as possible.

You see him down the hall. Okay, he’s getting closer. Closer. Closer.

He looks your way and you make sure to send him a small smile first, and to your delight, he returns it back with his own.

Once he passes, you let out a breath you didn’t even know you were holding, ecstatic at your first, deemed good, interaction you had with him.

And to your delight, this continues for the next few days. You two will send each other a smile while passing each other in the hall. Then during lunch, you will each steal glances at each other, one unknowing of the other.

You’ve been wanting to talk to him, but are too scared to. What are you supposed to do? Stop him in the hall just to say hi? Go up to his rowdy group of friends during lunch to introduce yourself in front of all of them?

You’ll stick to the smiles for now.

All was going well, and you were pretty content with your interactions. Until, one day, Ryujin messages you, day of, telling you she isn’t at school today.

Just great. Now you have to sit all alone at lunch.

At least, that’s what you expected.

What you did not expect, was your hallway crush to make his way over to you and stand by your table, staring down at you.

“Uh, is this seat taken?”

You stare up at him for a few moments, processing the fact that he’s standing right before your eyes, let alone asking you a question.

“Oh um,” you blink a few times, “yeah! Like yeah you can sit. Not like yeah there’s someone sitting here. Because no one is sitting there, as you can see.”

What the actual fuck are you doing?

“I’m sorry, yes, you can sit.”

He chuckles at your rambling and you take a deep breath as he sits to calm your nerves.

But it was no use, because once you look up at him and see his beautiful eyes staring intently at you, you feel your heart rate raise again.

“I’ve seen you around a lot, but I haven’t really had the chance to talk to you.”

Okay, it’s your chance. You can finally talk to him. Don’t fuck this up.

“Yeah, me too!”

Silence.

Were you supposed to say more? You’re already fucking this up.

“I’m Heeseung.” he looks at you expectantly.

“I’m y/n,” you smile back.

Once you two get more comfortable, you fall into more natural conversation, laughing and talking for the whole lunch. You don’t even realize how much time has passed until the bell rings, signalling the end of the period.

“Oh, I didn’t even realize how much time has passed,” you chuckle.

“Come on, I’ll walk you to your class.”

“Oh it’s fine you don’t have to–”

“I insist.”

So now you’re walking down the hall, side by side with Heeseung until you arrive at your class. You two exchange numbers before you saying bye and each going into your respective class.

You couldn’t help but feel so giddy at the time you just spent with Heeseung, immediately messaging Ryujin about it.

She makes sure to take credit by not being at school.

As you go to respond to her message, you get a message from Heeseung, immediately feeling excited from seeing his name pop up and going to reply.

This continued for the next couple of days, you two texting constantly; during class, at home, late at night.

You’ve spent all of today morning texting him, making sure to smile and say hi to him in the hallway, like you always would.

Today, however, Ryujin is at school, so you are currently sitting with her. You’re attentively listening to what she’s passionately talking about, until someone’s presence shows up at the side of your table, similar to yesterday.

“Hey, y/n.”

Your head shoots up as you immediately recognize that voice, to find Heeseung standing there, just like he did the other day. This time, Ryujin is currently sitting across from you, which confused you as to why he was here.

“Can I sit with you?”

Your eyes widen, glancing down at Ryujin to gauge her reaction, “um–”

“Yeah, of course!” Ryujin cuts you off, “I actually have plans with some other friends so I’m gonna go.” She stands up from her seat, shooting you a quick smile before heading off.

You look back at Heeseung as he timidly sits down in Ryujin’s no empty seat.

“Hey.”

“Hi.”

“So…”

“Why are you here?” you question, quickly realizing how that sounded, you correct yourself. “I mean– don’t you usually sit with your friends?” You glance back to his usual table to find his friends all staring in your direction, quickly looking away once they see you look at them.

He chuckles awkwardly, “Yeah, I just wanted to sit with you today.”

Your heart flutters at his thoughtful words and you try to suppress the smile growing on your face.

Soon enough, his smile falters a little and he looks everywhere but you, his leg bouncing up and down.

“Um, is everything okay?”

“Yeah everything’s fine!” He still avoids eye contact.

It’s silent for a few moments before Heeseung speaks up again.

“Actually, I wanted to ask you something.”

You look at him expectantly, waiting for him to ask his question. He finally looks directly at you and says, “do you wanna– like would you want to– maybe–” he inhales, “do you want to go on a date with me?”

Your lips part in surprise as Heeseung stares directly at you with a worried look on his face. You break out a smile, laughing at the uneasiness that crossed over his face at your lack of answer to his question.

“Of course I will!”

Heeseung lets out the breath he was holding in while awaiting your response, chuckling a little at how fast you agreed.

“Wow, I wasn’t really expecting you to say yes.”

You laugh, “Why wouldn’t I? I’ve been crushing on you since before we even started talking.”

He stops laughing at this and raises his eyebrows, “huh?”

Your smile drops as you process what you just confessed to, cheeks burning as Heeseung continues to stare at you with a smug look on his face. “You’ve liked me for that long?”

“Um, well, basically,” now it’s your turn to avoid eye contact, looking everywhere but Heeseung. “I used to see you in the hallway and I thought you were really cute.”

He laughs at that, and you swear it’s the most beautiful sound you’ve ever heard. “And you never talked to me? Maybe we could’ve been going out sooner.”

You huff, “fine, we don’t have to go out at all if that’s what you want.”

He quickly straightens up, “no! I want to go out. Trust me, it’ll be nice.”

You narrow your eyes, “And what exactly does nice entail?”

The corner of his lips lift up a little, “Well, I was going to surprise you, but I guess I can just say it,” he playfully rolls his eyes as he continues, “I was going to take you out to this really nice restaurant and then I know this really pretty place by a waterfall to watch the sunset, just me and you.”

Your heart clenches at his sweet and thoughtful words and you can feel the butterflies erupt in your stomach as you get more and more excited for this date.

“Do you not like the plan? I can totally change it if it sounds boring or if you don’t want to go, I get it.”

You didn’t even realize you were silent until Heeseung worriedly interrupted your thoughts. You quickly reassure him by expressing your thoughts, “No! I was just thinking about how lovely that sounds, I really can’t wait.”

Heeseung smiles at your reassurance, and as you two carry on with your lunch, your mind occasionally goes to thinking about the date Heeseung has planned for you, and you really can’t wait until you can fully enjoy his company, when it’s just you and him.

Evelyn was four days out from having Evangeline. It was two days before they were released from the hospital. Now, everyone was working to fit into their new routine with a newborn in the house.

She doesn’t know how her husband did it, but he managed to convince Eden to move into the guest bedroom. The girl never wanted to intrude or be a bother to them, so Evelyn didn’t press any further. There was still a little bit of insecurity lingering in the back of Eden’s mind when it came to her brother in law. He was too desperate, knowing how good of a support system she was for both him and her. They would need all the help they could get.

Another night with very little sleep, Eden woke up with an agenda for the day. As soon as the sunlight started to peek in through the windows, she showered and dressed comfortably. Both Noah and Evelyn had been occupied with the baby ever since they came home and she wanted to do something nice for the both of them.

The nursery had never been properly complete, not having known their baby’s gender. They may have gone a bit overboard when picking things out for the room. Eden knew they probably wouldn’t use it too often but she still felt like making everything look cute.

Heading to the closet, she started with the clothes. She picked out the baby blue clothes and set them aside. She decided that blue items would be in the bottom drawer in case they ever needed it. She came across socks, her heart aching from how tiny and adorable they were. She rolled up the clothes, making them fit into the two bottom drawers of the dresser. Eden didn’t realize just how many clothes this child had.

Eden had assisted her sister in making a board of baby decor and organization, so she had an idea of what she wanted to do.

“Hey kiddo, whatcha doing?” Eden snapped her head to see Noah in the doorway, leaning against the door with his mug of coffee.. She exhaled, getting off her bottom and standing up.

“I was feeling restless and wanted to help finish the nursery, since we know she’s a she now.” She swiped her forehead of the hairs in her face.

“Really? You didn’t have to do that. We were gonna get around to it eventually.”

“No, it’s okay. I wanted to surprise you both but…”

“I can pretend I never saw anything.” He rubbed his eyes, soon squinting them.

“Actually, I could use your help. Do you know where all the baby supplies are? I wanna organize the rolling cart.”

Even though he was visibly worn out, he was still smiling and wanted to offer all he could. “We have it all in the garage. I can bring you everything you need.”

“Of course. Just don’t let Ev see you.”

“They’re both out, but it won’t be too long before we have to feed her again.”

He managed to quietly grab all the supplies to the nursery, watching Eden sort everything out with each trip he made.

“Thank you. Try not to let her come in here, tell her I’m sleeping in or something.” They both spoke softly to each other.

“Gotcha. Just message me if you need anything else.”

Eden nodded, watching him shut the door behind him before getting to work. She put in one ear phone, playing some of her relaxing music as she unwrapped everything. She was surprised to see storage dividers in the bags. Noah actually brought in everything.

The top drawer was divided into sections, starting with diapers, then creams, wipes, pacifiers, and a whole bunch of other stuff that she didn’t know the purpose for. She stored extra diapers, wipes, swaddles, and blankets into the rolling cart. The dresser and cart was done and she was excited to move on to actually implementing the color pink into the room.

She opened the closet, surprised to see even more stuff that was bought for the baby. She reached for a random bag, noticing the separate pink and blue flowers designed for the mobile. She started by hanging up the pink roses, giving it a good spin and smiling to herself. She was relieved to find most of what she needed was already in the closet, folded on a shelf. She removed the tiny mattress from the crib, fitting on a baby pink sheet and placing it back where it belonged. She placed the Krunk plush in the corner, folding the soft blankets with him as well. She hung the pale blush curtains on a rod, feeling the sun beam into the room.

It was almost noon and she had been at work for three hours. She moved closest to the door, getting a good view of the entire room. It looked very cozy, but something was still missing.

Eden snuck downstairs, making it to the foyer before her sister caught her.

“Where are you going?” She looked saddened.

“I just have a few things to pick up at the dorms. Want me to bring back some food?” It wasn’t entirely a lie.

“Oh yes please!”

Eden never imagined she would find herself in the crafts store, but here she was, venturing each aisle to find anything that would seem fit to decorate a nursery with. She didn’t find much, at least not what her sister would like. She did find pink 3D butterflies to scatter across the wall.

She texted Noah before she left the parking lot, telling him to distract her with the takeout while she took her items upstairs to finish later.

Eden first brought in the takeout rice cakes, watching Evelyn practically drool over them. She headed back out to the car, sneaking upstairs and hiding the bag in the closet. She rushed back down as if she didn’t do anything, joining the two to eat as her sister rocked Evangeline in her arm. She was amazed by how well she multitasked.

Shortly after Evelyn finished feeding Evangeline again, her and her baby started dozing off. Eden gestured Noah into the kitchen so they wouldn’t wake the two girls.

“I’m almost done. Wanna help me add the finishing touches?” She whispered, folding her hands together at her chest.

He didn’t waste a breath, following Eden upstairs. She pushed the nursery door open and watched as his face lit up.

“You…you did all of this?” His eyes were wide as he toured the room, pulling the dresser drawers out and back in. “This is amazing.”

“Do you think she will like it?” She asked, unsure of herself. She may have gotten too into it, forgetting whose child she was actually decorating for.

“She’s gonna love it. I love it. Thank you, Eden.” He rubbed the exhaustion from his face with his hands, opening up his arms to her.

“Don’t mention it.” She hugged him, patting his back before letting go. “I got these butterflies. And some blossom petals. I thought they would be cute on that wall.” She pointed with a smile.

The two scattered the butterflies and petals across one wall. It really brought everything together, and even Eden was proud of her work. If being an idol didn’t work out for her, she would want to be a renovator.

“Eva will be waking up soon. After she gets fed, do you want to show her?” He looked towards her.

“Yep.” Eden put her hands on her hips, noting his nickname for his daughter. “We make a great team, don’t you think?”

He nodded, raising his hand. She gave him a high five before he started gathering up everything that needed to be thrown away.

“I’ll be down. I want to take a few pictures.”

He nodded, giving the room one last nod of approval before shutting the door behind him.

Eden studied the room, making sure everything was perfect and adjusting anything that threw her off. She took her phone out of her pocket, snapping pictures that she’d eventually send to the girls and Seokmin when she finally laid down. She felt pretty accomplished, needing to see her sister’s reaction right away.

She came down the stairs, seeing Evelyn fitting a small baby hat on Evangeline's head. Noah looked like he had just sat down, not getting comfortable too soon.

Eden plopped down across from them, tucking her legs under her and smiling. “How’s she doing?”

Evelyn held her, tucking her hairs under the hat before kissing her forehead. “She’s just the best baby ever. She’s just so perfect.”

Eden and Noah shared looks, her sister taking obvious note. “What? Why are you looking at each other like that?”

“Oh nothing. We just have a surprise for you.” Eden smiled.

“More like Eden has a surprise.” He rolled his eyes.

“What did you do?” She stared her sister down like she was scheming something evil.

“Just a little something.”

“I swear to god if you spent money–”

“Don’t you want to see it?” Eden pushed herself off the sofa, crossing her arms.

“Of course I want to see it. What is it?” She looked back and forth between the two.

Noah stood up, holding his hand out. She was alert, taking his hand as he helped her up. She winced a bit, currently feeling the after effects of childbirth as the medicine wore off. She cradled Evangeline to her chest as he kept a steady hand on her elbow and back.

Eden led the way upstairs, taking each step slow as Evelyn waddled her way behind her.She reached the top, holding her hand out just in case she needed it.

“What is it? You two are scaring me.”

Noah led her to the door of the nursery, noticing the letter E that had not been there before.

“Shut up.” Evelyn snapped her neck towards her sister, making sure not to disturb Evangeline.

“Surprise!” Eden reached for the doorknob, twisting it and pushing it open.

Evelyn covered her mouth with her free hand, taking slow steps inside the room. She gasped as her eyes went wide, studying each and every detail that Eden had put into rearranging the nursery that morning.

“Oh my god.”

“Do you like it?” Eden leaned against the doorframe, watching them go over everything.

She was quiet for a second, worrying Eden until she turned around to face her. Tears were actively falling down her cheeks, trying not to cry.

“Do I like it? I love it…” She sniffed, bringing the sleeve of her sweater to her eyes. Noah rubbed circles on her back as he smiled. “You did all of this?”

“Well, most of it. I figured if I was going to be staying here that I should make myself useful.”

Evelyn pouted, running her fingers across the wood of the crib, in awe of the butterflies scattered across the wall. “Eden…”

She couldn’t keep her own tears at bay when she said her name. She watched her slowly circle, eyeing as many things as she could. She reached for the dresser drawers, pulling each of them out and finally letting the sobs escape. “Eden.”

“Don’t cry! At least not while saying my name.”

“I don’t know what to say… I love it! Thank you so much.” Evelyn waddled like a penguin to her sister, giving her a half hug with Evangeline in her other arm. “Eden…It’s perfect.”

“You’re welcome.” Eden wiped her sister's tears before looking down at Evangeline. She looked perfectly content with her pacifier.

Evelyn stretched down to press a kiss to her daughter's forehead. “Don’t you just have the best aunt ever? You are so loved.”

To everyone’s surprise, Evangeline began to murmur, as if in agreement to what Evelyn said.

“Isn’t she precious?” Evelyn cried, looking up with tears coating her lashes.

Eden nodded, tucking her hair behind her ear as she leaned down to get a closer look at the baby. “And you’re the best niece ever.”

Her eyes squinted as she began to smile, squirming in her moms arms.

“You two are gonna be best friends.” Noah spoke from behind, smirking to himself.

Evelyn kissed her forehead once more, offering her to Noah. “Why don’t you go to daddy?” Eden did not miss the wink she threw in her direction.

She locked arms with her sister, squeezing as they both watched the scene unfold. Noah made goofy faces to Evangeline as he supported the back of her head. He nuzzled his nose against her cheek before he ever realized what was going on. Evelyn snorted, trying her best to hold back her laugh when the foul odor finally hit him.

“Sweetie…” He whined to Evelyn.

“Honey…It’s your turn to change her now.”

Eden quickly plugged her nose with her fingers, hiding her face in her sisters shoulder as they both laughed at him.

Your first day of year four of university had finally arrived. The hot August air weighed you down like a blanket of humidity, your thighs chafing as they rubbed against one another at the hemline of your denim shorts. You had chosen your classic first day of fall semester fit, a logo tee from the bookstore, and a pair of shorts along with your Converse. Comfortable, easy to fish out of your still packed suitcase, and cute.

Fishing your schedule from your student portal app on your phone, you found your first lecture of the day. To your horror and dismay it was a gen ed course you had been dreading, Statistics 101 with Professor Park. You abhorred math more than anything and even more so when you threw in the Greek alphabet. You huffed and walked faster to the lecture hall to get a good seat, and when you arrived you guessed every other student had the same idea because the only seat left was one in the middle of the hall next to an intimidating looking boy with a sharp jawline, silver earrings and dusty blue hair. He looked the complete opposite of you. He was in all black, black tee shirt, long black cargo pants decorated with chains, and black converse. The shoe choice was the only identical fashion choice you both had made.

“You gonna keep analyzing my outfit like this shit is project runway or are you going to sit down?” His deep Australian accent cut you out of your thoughts.

“Oh sorry! Ummm I’m sorry — I already said that didn’t I? Anyways I’m Y/N nice to meet ya…” You stuck a hand out to him after setting out your notebook and laptop.

“You are far too cheerful for a 10 AM math lecture. Anyways the name’s Felix, before you ask I’m a senior graphic design major this is just a gen ed for me.” He seemed to notice you deflate as he answered your icebreakers before you could ask. He let out an almost placating gruff laugh after his introduction.

“I’m a senior as well, music marketing major so as much as I wish this wasn’t a required gen ed for me it sadly is. I fucking HATE math!” You sighed as the professor walked into the room. You didn’t notice Felix smile at your extroverted behavior. He knew he was about to become your friend, not by his own accord but he knew that he was now the familiar face in your Monday-Wednesday-Friday morning hour of hell. The professor droned on about the usual syllabus week materials and you began doodling some new logo ideas for your friends’ music group on your notebook paper. Your dissociation was cut off by the professor clearing his throat with an announcement.

“Okay everyone! This lecture has 100 students, and unfortunately for me the department requires us to have you all complete a semester long project going over a trend of choice through data analytics. So you all will be working with the person sitting directly to your right! No, don't go switching seats, I see you in the back row!” You laughed as your classmates groaned around you at the news of being involuntarily being partnered up. You looked to your right where Felix was already looking your way with a raised brow and a smirk gracing his freckled face.

“Please tell me you won’t be as high energy all semester” Your new statistics partner sighed almost defeatedly. “Now hand me your phone so I can put my number in it so we can work on this shit or whatever.” You laughed at his statement and handed your phone over to him.

“Felix, just for the record, I’m gonna change your contact to Grumpy Pants if you keep acting like this.” You stated as you looked at him through your peripheral vision as he texted himself from your phone.

“Okay Bubbles.” He chuckled, handing your phone back to you. He had simply texted himself a ‘Hey :) – Bubbles’ making an involuntary grin stretch across your face as you turned to look at him.

“Bubbles?”

“Powerpuff Girls? Did you grow up uncultured?” He raised a brow at your lack of knowledge of the cartoon.

“I was only allowed to watch educational stuff as a kid.”

“It shows.”

“HEY!” You playfully punched his arm and flipped him off as a deep chuckle emanated from him. This was going to be an entertaining semester for sure.

The semester rolled along, like a slow cross country train ride. Throughout it you and Felix grew closer, much to the chagrin of your friends Lia and Yeji who had said the boy was “bad news”. You didn’t understand how they could judge him without knowing him like you did, how could anyone with such a beautiful smile be “bad news”. Sure he had some bad habits like sneaking a flask into the library for your study sessions, but could you blame him? Statistics would drive anyone to drink unless they were a math wizard like Pythagoras or Einstein.

“Y/N are you texting him again?” Yeji groaned as she flitted about styling your hair for the party she insisted you attend with her and the other girls from the music group she and Lia were in. It was at the Sigma Kappa Zeta fraternity and you knew Felix was a brother of the frat, so regardless of your girls you always had an in. This though, was a secret from your dear friends as they had prejudged Felix and you didn’t want them to suddenly change their minds so they had an excuse to party.

“Yeah we have that project remember? Plus he was showing me this funny video from that one guy I like on instagram.” You fibbed. This seemed to satisfy her as you two finished getting ready for the ride to the frat house. Lia met you two in front of the dorm and your ride was outside just as you left. You were in for a good night, you could feel it in your bones.

Unfortunately for you, your bones were wrong. The stench of alcohol, weed, and body odor hit your nose like a freight train, you had lost your friends upon entering and Felix was nowhere to be found. One of his frat brothers, Hyunjin had saddled up to you as you made your way to the kitchen for a drink.

“You’re Felix’s girl right?”He asked as he poured you a vodka and cola...very heavy on the vodka. Concerningly so actually You made a mental note to never ask him to bartend for you again, lest you want a new liver by twenty-five.

“Oh no we’re just friends, we have a Stats class together, 101 with Professor Park.” You replied sipping on your drink and grimacing at the overly pungent taste of the cheap liquor in it.

“Oh duh you’re Bubbles then! He always talks about how obnoxious you can be, he asked me once how anyone can be so… I shouldn’t have said that. Don’t-don’t listen to me,disregard anything I just said! I'm wasted.” Unfortunately for the panicking dark haired boy, you were not wasted. You were far too sober for this. Obnoxious? You? You were used to being sometimes a bit too extraverted for some peoples’ tastes but obnoxious? That stung.

“Heh. No worries Hyunjin, I'll see you around.” With that the boy left. You stayed in the kitchen as your body went into autopilot, you downed your drink then snatched the vodka bottle up before wandering through the crowd to the back porch to find a corner to hide in. You didn’t know why you chose to chase the bile like feeling in your chest down with alcohol. You didn’t usually cope with your emotions in this manner. You were level headed, a marketing student, someone who dabbled with psychology courses for fun, someone who was the advice giver to her friends. Not someone who chose to use unhealthy coping mechanisms. But here you were bottle in hand walking to the porch to sip away the pain.

“Y/N? Bubbles? What are you doing?” The Aussie you had been searching for before had somehow found you. His voice was riddled with concern, laughable amounts of it in your mind. How could a friend find you obnoxious but then act so caring? Friend, the word now made you almost nauseous. Fuck friends, fuck Felix, you thought. All you wanted was to be numb and alone.

“Trying to not be obnoxious or something I don’t fucking know.” You grumbled taking a long swig of the liquor from the bottle. You didn’t even grimace this time as the taste had grown too familiar to you.

“What’s that supposed to mean? Who upset you? Why the fuck are you chugging vodka like water? Who hurt you? I’ll kick their ass!” He barraged you with questions as he tried to slip down to sit beside you and take the bottle out of your hands. You fought back and held the bottle close to you, eventually he gave up seeing that you clearly were unwilling to let go of your vice. He was worried and he just wanted to see what was wrong. An uncomfortable silence filled the space between you two for a moment, until you cleared your throat and turned toward him with an unsettlingly dark look in your eyes.

“Felix, tell me why one of your frat brothers told me not even like twenty minutes ago that you found me obnoxious. Apparently you’re always talking about it. Fuck, the girls were right I should’ve just stayed your project partner and not your friend.” You hissed out and tried to stand, but the large amount of booze in your system made you stumble and nearly fall over like an unstable desk ornament.

“You’re not about to walk away from me in your condition in the middle of this conversation Y/N.”

“Fine then I’ll— I’ll fucking crawl away just leave me alone and find my friends for me. My actual friends who like me and don’t tell their friends I’m fucking obnoxious, too much, too loud, too happy, too bubbly, too ugh whatever you told your friends I’m too much of. Just. Leave. Me. The. FUCK. Alone.” The bite in your words made Felix physically flinch. He had never seen you so angry, especially not at him. You were usually so kind and uplifting to those you met. Not so, so aggressive. It hurt him to see your Y/E/C eyes, all tearful and rage filled. The beautiful eyes he was so used to seeing filled with unbridled happiness.

“Okay, I’ll-I’ll go. Please just promise me one day you’ll allow me the chance to explain myself to you.” He pleaded, his head hung low, tears filling his own gaze. You have a noncommittal affirmation and he went off finding Yeji and Lia. While you clung to your knees with cries wracking your body, Felix was facing the wrath of the music group you knew as your best friends.

Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and the newest addition Yuna all glowered at him from the couch as he explained you had gotten mad at him over a mistaken confession he had made when you two had just met. He had not experienced such unbridled happiness from one person before you stepped into his world and he was unsure how to feel. He had chosen his usual method of brisk dismissal and annoyance when discussing you to the frat members those weeks ago. But over the course of the past month or so you had wormed your way into his heart and he had grown fond of your random animal facts, boisterous laughter, and bright sun rivaling smiles.

“Lee, you fucked up and she was correct in saying we warned her about you. Remember you broke our other friend, Heejin’s heart? You lead her on. You’re not about to do that to our Y/N. She’s our angel, and you sir are some demon for hurting her now. We’ll let you try to make it up to her but I swear to all that is holy if you don’t, you’re fucking dead.” Yeji’s voice carried over the bass that was shaking the house, her voice shook Felix to his very core. “Don’t expect any help from us, ITZY protects our friends, and Y/N is our best friend. Girls go get our baby. I know she needs you right now, I’ll call the uber. Lee Felix you go fess up to Chan and the boys that you fucked up.” She gave Felix a dismissal with her hand and collected you along with the girls in a tight hug. She had her own plan, she was going to recruit her other friend Lily and their mutual friend Soobin into a “Get Y/N over Felix” plan. She had detested the Australian for leading her friend Heejin on the previous fall. She hadn’t known though that it was honestly just an unrequited crush on Heejin’s part and that the Aussie and the other girl had made up. She was so focused on playing the role of mother to her friends she forgot sometimes to look past the details of the story as it was on the page, she didn’t read between the lines. What she witnessed had to be the truth, right?

The days after the party felt like you were in limbo, you had emailed your professors that you had a family emergency and would be out for the subsequent week. Thankfully they all were accommodating and gave you the materials to study in your absence. Felix hadn’t called or texted regarding your project which soon would be having its mid semester check on your progress. You had done your share and emailed him your part so he could work off of your work, you had practically done all you could to avoid him. But now it felt like you were doing too much, caring too much about someone who you had misjudged as someone who was more caring than their hard outer shell. You had read between the lines of who he was a bit too deeply, you had looked to find some sort of positive in someone who had portrayed himself as harsh and cold. Maybe he was just that, cold, uncaring, harsh, a liar. Yeah that’s what he was, a liar, an expert one at that.

You were lounging in your misery of stuffed animals and rewatches of Legally Blonde as Yeji, the girls, and your newer friend Lily barged into your room.

“Go away girls, leave me to my misery and Elle Woods’ slaying the courtroom!” You groaned out into your pillow.

“Bitch if you don’t get your ass up! You have a date, no don’t give me that face you need some socialization.” Yeji pulled you out of bed and shoved you into the shower before you could protest. Two hours later your hair and makeup were done, you were dressed in a nice cropped sweater, jeans, and boots and shoved out the door to your demise date.

At the campus coffee shop with your favorite iced chai latte in hand sat Soobin. He was a fellow music marketing student and student musician you’d met through the girls. He was someone you’d known in passing, an acquaintance, not someone you expected yourself on a blind date with. But here you were, laughing at his jokes, cooing over photos of his pet hedgehog Odi and enjoying yourself in his company. It felt like getting to know an old friend from years gone by, not like a first date. But you knew in your heart feelings were unlikely to develop. You felt too platonic, too friendly, not flirty, flushed, not like a swarm of butterflies resided in your stomach. You didn’t feel like you did when Felix would offer to rest his jacket across your shoulders when the cold air conditioning of the library would kick on.

As you sat on your couch talking with Yeji you came to the realization of why it hurt so bad to find out Felix has shit talked you. You liked Felix. His freckles, his smile that would take over his whole face, his blunt sarcastic sense of humor, his playful jabs, his affectionate teasing, you adored it all.

“Yeji, don’t tell the others please but… I realize why I was so messed up over what happened at Sig Kap.”

“You liked him didn’t you?” She saw your eyes well up with tears as your head fell in what you could only describe as shame.

“Not just like, I think I fell for him.” She only gave her best sullen smile as she walked across the living room to engulf you in a hug as tears fell like a torrential storm down your cheeks. She softly assured you that you would move on, like you always did when you fought the overwhelming urge to sink into your bed and not get out for days due to the weight of the world crushing your soul. You were strong, but love seemed to fight like a heavyweight champ, hitting you with blows left and right. Chaeryeong walked out of her room as the sound of a broken croak of tearful lament came from you.

“Y/N baby girl what happened? Did he say something wrong again?” The other girl sat on your left and wrapped her arms around you effectively making you the saddest sandwich ever seen.

“Yeji… I think I really love Felix. I think that’s why I’m so hurt, I owe him a chance to explain himself to me. He looked like bad news but he was the sweetest guy I’ve ever met. I’ve had time to think about it all and I can’t just shut him out, it hurts worse than it helps.” Yeji froze, her comforting hand that had been rubbing your arm ceased, her heart tightened with a sense of urgency. You loved the man that effectively shattered one of her friend’s hearts. You deserved to know what he was like. You NEEDED to know. Before you let him back in, before he broke you more.

“Y/N did I ever explain why I don’t like Felix?” You shook your head as it rested on her shoulder, her comforting hand resumed rubbing your arm in an almost motherly way. “Remember Heejin? My friend from my hip hop class? They used to talk, like last year. He was like how he was with you, romantic, kind, and sweet. But one day he just drops this bomb. He only saw her as a friend, he lead her on for like ever, they almost made out at the date party SKZ hosted last winter. She was messed up over it for a long time. I don’t want him hurting you more. Also Soobin really liked your date. Did you have a good time?” Her explanation stunned you that you didn’t even register the topic change. Felix was a player. You always picked the wrong guys. You had fallen for an act, a ploy to probably get into your pants and be left in the dust. That’s probably all it was. You shook your head from your spiral of misery and looked over at your friend as she playfully nudged you to encourage you to discuss the date she masterfully put together.

“Soobin was sweet, and really cute! But it felt more like a friendship than a potential relationship. I didn’t really see it going anywhere. On the bright side I think he’s going to make a great friend.” You sighed and sunk more into the couch. The overwhelming urge to cry came over you once again as Chaeryeong and Yeji hugged you tighter and cuddled you. They gently played with your hair and cooed comforting words to you trying to ease the stabbing pain in your chest.

Meanwhile at the SKZ house Chan was consoling a devastated Felix. Weeks had passed and the only word from you he would receive was an email with your slides from your project and some notes on the materials. You had gone from the girl he would destroy a city for to a stranger. It hurt him beyond words, your playful teasing and bubbly affirmations were ripped from his life so abruptly it was like his organs had been ripped out.

“Chan I fucking love her, I didn’t realize until I lost her. Her friends only see me as a player because of the whole Heejin thing. I wish Heejin just explained that we’re cool now so I have a chance at winning my Bubbles back.” Chan nodded solemnly.

“I know Lix, I hope she lets you explain soon I hate seeing you like this.”

Jisung overheard the conversation and had an idea, he walked over, bending down he whispered it to Chan with an expression that just screamed that he was some kind of love genius. “Han, that is so stupid it might just work.” Chan called a meeting for the five other house residents to join them at the couches. Operation Y/Nlix was in motion.

As night fell you sat in bed once again sadly watching Legally Blonde. You were about ready to recite the perm monologue as a loud thud of something hitting your window startled you. Going over to gaze out you couldn’t believe your eyes. Out on your apartment complex lawn stood all eight SKZ house residents holding up signs reading Y/N please hear Felix out! We beg! Felix held up his own sign, I know I’m an ass, just one chance please. Once they noticed you were looking at them Changbin cued up a speaker and I Want You Back by the Jackson 5 began blaring out for the whole neighborhood to hear. The girls all piled into your room and gave you the affirmative to go talk to him. You raced down the stairs to run over to the dancing and singing men.

“Fine! Five Minutes.”

“Y/N uh shit I didn’t think this would work. Okay so I had been having a rough day just after we met and I couldn’t understand how someone could have so much energy and be just so positive all of the time. Your adorable ways of finding some good in everything honestly scared me. That’s why I’d ranted about you. I’m sorry.” He clutched your hands and had tears swelling up in his brown eyes, you gave him a nod and a small sad smile.

“That doesn’t explain why you never told me about the Heejin situation. Ya know considering I have several mutual friends with her.”

“Heejin and I talked things out in the spring, she liked me more than I liked her. We discussed how it was a whole misunderstanding.” He paused at your raised brow and doubtful expression. “I’m being serious, it was really a one sided crush and her being genuinely hurt. I understand that finding out someone you liked not liking you back really sucks and how she felt led on. I apologized and we’re cool now, she and I aren’t friends but we’re not enemies either.”

“Mkay I’ll take your word for it for now, you have some work to do to earn my trust back but I’m willing to give you a second chance.” His lanky arms engulfed you and he began rocking you side to side his laugh and smile warmed your heart once again. You knew he would have you falling for him all over again, and the thought didn’t scare you like it used to. It didn’t terrify you, it filled you with hope that your happy ending may actually exist this time around.

The cool autumnal air began to make you shiver as the seasons changed, the semester’s end was closing in as the days flew by. The warmth of summer’s end was something you yearned for as you pulled your jacket closer to your body, your steps increased in speed as you made your way to the cafe you had met Soobin at previously. He had asked you on another date, one you had thought would be another friendly hang out. What you didn’t seem to realize was that your cheerful disposition had enamored the tall, bespectacled boy. He saw you as a radiant, angelic, hilarious, and of course beautiful girl. Someone whose mission it was to make those around her always happy. His analysis of you wasn’t incorrect by any means, however you were not reciprocative of his feelings.

To you Soobin was sweet and adorable. His catlike smile, cute laugh, and goofy personality made you feel like he was someone you could be comfortable around. His energy was fairly similar to yours in a way that made you feel like you’d met yourself but as a boy. This made catching feelings for him a challenge for you, so alas Soobin’s crush on you was unrequited. Today, he was going to confess, so he had asked you to join him for coffee.

“Oh Soobin you didn’t have to buy my coffee for me!” You admonished as you sat across from him at the campus coffee shop. The pastel wall decor seemed to give you an angelic glow as he shyly smiled at you.

“Of course I did angel! I invited you here after all! Now I have something I need to tell you.” You nodded and took a sip of the caramel flavored latte he had picked for you. You let out a soft sigh at the warm feeling it put in your chest after the cold air had frozen your bones during your walk. “Y/N, I-I like you um a lot. You’re beautiful, kind, funny, a wonderful listener, a genuinely wonderful person. I was wondering if I could get the chance to take you on an actual date?” His warm eyes reflected his desire for an affirmation that you reciprocated his emotions.

“Oh wow Soobin I. I don’t know what to say. You are a wonderful guy, I genuinely do like your friendship a lot! You are someone I like being around. But, I just don’t see you the same way, I’m sorry.” You hung your head down apologetically and looked over to him to make sure he was okay. He nodded and gave you a half smile showing his dimples. You reached across the table for his hands and took them in yours. “I hope we can still be friends! I really like being your friend!” He smiled and nodded at that. You two stood and the tall boy wrapped you in a warm embrace.

“I would love to still be your friend Y/Nnie you are so sweet.”

Meanwhile outside the cafe stood Felix, his dark attire reflecting the darkness that poured into his heart. He saw the way your face nuzzled into the taller male’s chest and how the pair of you seemed to clutch the other’s clothing to get closer. Who was the boy in the glasses? Why were you hugging him like that? Why did he get to hold you? Why were you smiling up at him like that? Why wasn’t it him?

Felix’s inner turmoil began to swell as he watched the exchange, he couldn’t tear his eyes away as you and the taller boy interacted so happily. As you pulled away from Soobin your eyes locked with the brooding male’s through the cafe glass. Your eyes widened in surprise as the Australian visibly sighed and began to walk away, his head held low. You quickly excused yourself and bolted after the boy calling his name.

“Felix! FELIX! WAIT!” His steps only seemed to grow faster as he marched away. Panic began to creep into your mind as you picked up the pace. You grabbed his shoulder and yanked him to a halt via his jacket. His eyes grew steely as he looked at you.

“Did you just ditch your new boyfriend for me? Not a good look Y/N.” He grumbled as he tried to peel your grip off of him.

“Boyfriend? Huh? Felix, that's Soobin. Ya know? He’s a friend of the girls?” You tilted your head in confusion and scoffed lightly at his conclusion.

“You two looked awfully close. That’s all I’m saying Y/N.” His hair shook and his eyes grew cold and harsh as he cocked his head toward you.

“You almost always never call me by my first name what’s going on with you?” Your eyes grew pleading and you began to wring your hands anxiously as you silently begged for an explanation.

“Y/N, you offered me a very public second chance, then not even a week later I am seeing you acting like another man’s girlfriend. I thought I made it clear to you-” He cut himself off, shaking his head and scuffing the toe of his black combat boot against the ground. He let out a heavy sorrow filled sigh and slowly began to walk away. “Forget it. I’m happy for you, I’ll see you in stats.” Before he could step away your hands caught his wrist and you tugged him toward you.

“Made what clear to me Felix? You’re jumping to conclusions like it’s an Olympic sport here! I’m confused.” You looked at him, your eyes swimming with hurt and confusion. With Felix everything felt one step forward, five steps back. You never seemed to move past the hurt you both felt from the party incident.

“Y/N don’t. Don’t do this.” His voice was barely a murmur.

“Do what Felix?”

“Don’t make me say it.”

“Say what Felix don’t play games with me.” Your voice grew laced with agitation and annoyance. He wasn’t like this what was going on? Who was this aggravated almost gangster like boy you knew as your friend? Why was he sad yet angry?

“Please don’t make me admit how fucking in love with you I am.” With that you grabbed his face and pulled him into a heavy tear soaked kiss. Your arms wrapped around his neck as one of his hands found its home holding your waist and the other cupped your cheek. Your lips danced against one another as soft giggles and smiles made the kiss grow more playful.

“You didn’t think I loved you too Grumpy Pants?” You teased as he sneakily tried to grope your butt with his hand. “Aye paws off the goods mister!” You laughed.

“Well I clearly wasn’t thinking correctly seeing as you basically just swept me off my feet Bubbles.” He poked your cheek and wrapped his arms around you swaying you side to side gently. The cold autumnal air made you shiver slightly.

“Y/N! Glad to see you found your person!” Soobin cut into your moment as he called from the cafe doorway. Your cheeks grew flushed as you hid your face into Felix’s neck. The boy just laughed and gave Soobin a nod as an acknowledgment. The next thing you knew your phone in your pocket began buzzing like a swarm of bees as your friends were all informed by the tall dark haired male of what happened. Felix encouraged you to check the texts. The only one that jumped out was Heejin on instagram wishing you well, she said she was happy that you as a mutual friend of hers found happiness. She also said she wanted you and Felix to find happiness together. It was sweet and you sent along your thanks.

The rest of the messages were just congratulatory ones from the SKZ boys and ITZY girls. As well as some teasing from both groups to not make them uncles and aunts any time soon. A smile graced your lips and you tilted your head as to give Felix another chaste kiss.

“My place or yours baby?” You whispered into his ear.

“For what angel?” He smirked thinking you were implying a rendezvous.

“Snuggles, video games, avoiding our project, and some snacking! What else?” You laughed as you saw a blush creep across his cheeks. “Oh you pervert! You wanted to hook up? At least ask me to be your girlfriend and buy me dinner first!” You bopped his shoulder and acted all scandalized which made Felix grow even more red faced and he sputtered out apologies mixed with deflections as to not make a scene.

“Baby! Baby! Okay let’s go get dinner and I’ll get you some flowers and ask you the right way!”

Description: Fem!ZB1 as members of existing girl groups. This is my opinion plus a few ideas from one of my besties and some of my fellow zumblr writers, if you don't agree feel free to write your own post 🤭

🍀 Jiwoong ‐ (G)I-DLE

These girls have no problem with more sexy/provocative concepts, and neither would fem!Jiwoong, she loves the affect she has on her fans

On stage she's a total femme fatale that has the fans swooning left, right and center… and she knows it (and as I said before, she loves it)

But off stage she's a complete dork who acts more like a maknae and shows off her natural cute side to the other members

Even Shuhua, the queen of flirting gets a little flustered when fem!Jiwoong reciprocates or flirts with her first

☘ Zhang Hao - Twice

Damn girl, is the rent due or something? Because fem!Hao is feeling herself in every song and fans absolutely adore her for it

Probably ends up being one of the loudest members somehow and goes viral for being a natural comedian. At least in this timeline she has fellow introverts

I can see fem!Hao and Chaeyoung collecting gg idols' numbers together. They have so many new wives friends now

Probably doesn't get treated that much like the youngest because he doesn't really act like it??

🍀 Hanbin - Aespa

This seems like the obvious choice for mother, after all, fem!Hanbin is an icon and boy does she know it

Have you seen the tutting choreo for Hold On Tight? She ate it up and left absolutely zero crumbs. She may probably even created the choreo (in this timeline)

She's got sass and she's got class. Fem!Hanbin Pulls off all of Aespa's choreographies flawlessly.. but are you really surprised?

I think of this group as being quite sharp and clean in their choreo which goes well with Hanbin in my opinion???

☘ Matthew - Weeekly

As much as I'm an "Woohyun oppa" anti, I guess I should let fem!Matthew get to live (some of) her cool unnie dreams

I know like one (1) of their songs and it's so Matthew coded. He would absolutely nail it for real

I feel like she would be that one member who isn't your bias but yes she is, we all stan our small Canadian queen

The members would look up to her a lot.. she just has this really calming, warm energy about her

🍀 Taerae - Stayc

I had 0 doubts here. Taerae would be a part of Stayc and I won't accept any debate on this

Vocal goddess!! Fem!Taerae's voice would fit so well with their concepts and she'd win so many hearts

Their concepts always seem so bright and fun which I think she would live for, and she'd get to show off her dimples which fans adore

As much as she could pull off darker concepts, I feel like her energy would really shine doing more fun, lively concepts

☘ Ricky - Kiss Of Life

I don't know much about these girls just yet but their music! It slaps and I think his vibe would fit well with theirs

Fem!Ricky would enjoy doing a hip concept like Shhh. It's cool and fresh and she would be living for it

She's similar in age as well so I think they'd all get along quite easily as they understand each other better

Their choreo is sexy enough for fem!Ricky to make the fans swoon but not over-the-top to the point it feels awkward to her

🍀 Gyuvin - Itzy

Itzy concepts are a) full of fun and b) full of 'love yourself' energy and yknow what… that's so Gyuvin-coded. Like who cares lemme just do my dancey dance

Okay but fem!Gyuvin would be an absolute clown. At this point she's had at least 47 memes made about her and they've all gone viral

She loves to have fun and be chaotic!! And isn't that Itzy's whole energy??? I feel like she would fit in perfectly with the other girls

They're gonna have their hands full with fem!Gyuvin but they're all whipped for her so they don't mind at all

☘ Gunwook - Everglow

Queens? Queens. Everglow never come here to play around and neither does Gunwook they deserve better though

When fem!Gunwook goes off, don't we all know about it? She dances at 400% all of the time

She's that member who looks super intimidating because she's both pretty and so talented. We all know she's an absolute sweetie though

Oh how the members would dote on her as the new youngest. Fem!Gunwook gets the princess treatment, especially because of the age gap

🍀 Yujin - Le Sserafim

Although he rocked Say My Name, I feel like fem!Yujin wouldn't want to have a cute concept all the time… every once in a while is enough

So she wouldn't want to be in a super cutesy group but not one that has overly sexy concepts either

Both she AND Eunchae get the maknae treatment, like I don't think having a new youngest member would change that

And they'd use it to their advantage, too. Fem!Yujin has found her new partner in crime… mostly to get more snacks

pavitr headcannons !

don’t know his canon birthday, but i see pav as a sag sun, cancer moon, pisces rising, sag mercury, libra venus, and cancer mars

he really loves astrology but he uses vedic astrology instead of tropical

everytime he feels like he’s made a new friend or feels comfortable with someone, he IMMEDIATELY asks for the birth chart

he really loves video games, especially sonic

his fave character is amy :)

hobie and pavitr play any and every decision based game ever made (life is strange, until dawn, undertale, etc.)

gwen and pav have a minecraft world where they allow NO ONE else to hop into (they’re very territorial over this)

they build like these extravagant houses from the ground up

literally they built a skyscraper from the ground up in creative ?!

aside from this one server, pavitr mainly plays in survival with gayatri, miles, and hobie whenever he feels up to it

aside from the classics he grew up with, he really likes kpop and indie music

his ults are itzy, twice, and nct dream convince me otherwise

he doesn’t really listen to many soloists, but likes chungha, taemin, and sunmi

has definitely learned the wannabe choreo and flaunts that he can do the ryujin shoulder move CONSTANTLY 😭😭😭

it’ll be mid conversation and he just starts doing the shoulder move

outside of kpop though, he really likes clairo, alex sloane, hojean, niki, the nbhd, conan gray, hemlocke springs, and other artists in this soundscape

he gets so excited when he finds south asian indie artists

his love language is definitely acts of service and physical touch

this shows through a lot with the amount of times he’s cooked his cultural foods and baked pastries for the people in his life

he loves seeing people’s satisfaction after eating his food

gwen has definitely said some of his dishes were too spicy tho 😭😭

he accommodates her by making a smaller, less spicy dish for her whenever he cooks for gwen

aside from chai, he’s really good at making different teas and coffee

lattes, americanos, macchiatos, green tea, chamomile, you name it, pav can make it !

because of this, he’s been dubbed the group’s chef and barista

miles LOVES whenever pavitr decides to crash in his dimension because of his chai and green tea specifically

another way pavitr shows his love is by playing with peoples hair

if you let him, he’s just always trying to braid hair or just combing through it with his fingers

or with people with afro textured hair like miles, he’s always putting it in cornrows after he watched many tutorials on it

playing with gayatri’s hair is always the most relaxing to him tho

speaking of him and gayatri, they’re like couple of the year to his friend group in the spider society

hello friends! 💖 and happy new year! i hope 2023 is kind to us all!

let’s just get into it! at the tail-end of 2021, i wasn’t really sure i was going to stay on tumblr. a lot of the friends i had made on my main and on another side blog had moved on from tumblr/we didn’t talk anymore. the few IRL friends i do have, i don’t follow on here bc i got rid of my old account (c. 2011) so i wasn’t really sure i was going to even be on tumblr during 2022.

but then... march, 2022, my friend wanted to show me a music video. i wasn’t super jazzed but said “okay.” and he said, “have you heard of stray kids?” and me being into kpop for the better part of 16-ish years i said, “yes, i’ve heard of stray kids. i don’t stan, but i have heard of them.” fast forward a few weeks, he’s made me watch the maniac mv like 10 times and he thinks now is a good time to tell me, “by the way, stray kids is a self-producing group.” in case you didn’t know, i love groups that self-produce. see the other groups i love, bigbang, bts, seventeen, winner and ikon. so as soon as he said that, i was done for. i fell even deeper into kpop and fell into stray kids.

in april, 2022 i decided that i should make a side blog for stray kids. i didn’t think it would grow into what it has. i just thought it would be like my itzy and blackpink side blogs, where i occasionally post some fan photos and other ppls creations. instead... i thought a good way for me to catch up on 4 years of content was to start giffing and here we are. i say this every time i do a follow forever, but i'm so happy here in my corner of stayblr. everyone is so kind and wonderful! and i want to thank everyone that shows my gifsets love! i'll tag some ppl below, but i want to mention a few special ppl to me first:

i need to change my original kpop marauders era post i realized i was wrong, lily as a kpop idol is 100% sakura, i didn't want to make anyone sakura bc sakura is too dear to me as my #1 bias oshi of the kpop world, but however, lily fits sakura's astute intelligent hardworking personality and sharp wit and they both have flower themed names. so lily evans as a kpop idol would be sakura miyawaki.

-Flower Power by Girls Generation (SNSD): Yes i made Lily into Sakura BUT TO me Lily gives a more gen 2 kpop vibe than gen 4 kpop soooo I pick Flower Power bc it's got Flower in the name, its by SNSD which reminds me of Lily Evans, and although it's a Flower song it sounds cool and powerful. I had originally thought Sunflower by Iz*One simply bc of the flower name (plus Sunflower is my faoviret Iz*one song bc of Hitomi's beautiful cute voice in it, Hitomi is my #3 fave Iz*one member and my #1 favorite member visually) but Sunflower only fits Lily in terms of being Flower. While Flower Power fits in vibe IMO

-Wannabe by Itzy: Itzy reminds me of gryfindor house bc their music sounds liek its from disney channel. This song is blessed to me in particular bc of fond memories of friendship and playing roblox

-Smart by Le Sserafim: IDK if this fits at all really but i thought since i made Lily Sakura I should pick a song that Sakura is in. And this song is called Smart and Lily is smart so I guess it will fit but i have never read the lyrics translation so who knows

studyblr (re)introduction.

i used to lurk in the shadows as an inactive studyblr account but now that i'm a university student i want to team up and make friends :D

about me

i'm aleixandre, i use she/her pronouns and i'm studying robotic engineering. i'm only on my first year so there's a lot i have yet to learn !!

my degree involves chemistry, physics, a lot of maths and programming, for now.

i'm from spain, so i speak spanish as well. i'm not interested in the language side of the community but if anyone wants to chat in spanish i'm open to it. also, if i make any mistakes in english i blame it on not being a native speaker lol.

what do i plan to use this account for?

i'm looking for people in the stem community so we can complain about how our degree is so so hard together :) and also to see how is it like to study engineering at other places/countries.

i'll post cute pictures from time to time, but i'm not all that focused on aesthetics. i'm messy at heart but i like toying with image edition :)

i like poetry and essays too, so i'll share quotes/articles about learning and academia that i find around.

lastly, i'd like to take part in productivity challenges and other commmunity activities, if only to connect with more people :D. i study a lot anyways so i might as well share it with the rest of the class !!

The SM and HYBE drama (and the main third player)

okay so i know this news has been really shocking to all of us. sm is a part of the big 3 in kpop and hybe, right now, is the most profitable company in kpop. both are massive forces in terms of business in music. and it’s now been revealed that hybe had acquires around 14% stakes from lee sooman, making them the biggest stake-holder of sm. this news was really sudden to me and a lot of us, so i decided to do some research. turns out, there’s a lot more going on here. and i mean, a LOT.

a company like hybe in the IT hub of the world (which is south korea btw) is...honestly? nothing. unlike the other big three, hybe’s business is mostly confined to kpop. our concerns about hybe begins and ends about here. now, for sm.

sm is, quite honestly, the MOST influential kpop company, mainly because of the influence it hold outside of kpop. sm, like yg and jyp, is not just restricted to kpop. their “artist-holdings” stretches to sportspersons, actors, comedians, general artists management, etc. infact, sm manages almost 25% of the artists in the korean entertainment industry.

the second person of conflict; lee sooman.

now unlike yg, jyp and originally, bighit, lee sooman does not have complete control over sm. he quit the position of the ceo in 2010. since then, lee sooman made some big announcements about sm’s suture and what he aims to do with the shares he owns. sm also underwent a tax investigation recently. all in all, there’s been a lot on lee sooman’s plate. he DID want to sell those shares anyway, although i don’t think think he thought the opportunity would appear in this way.

despite being popularly known as the ‘godfather of kpop’, lee sooman has been involved in a power struggle of sorts with his executive board as of 2023. he refused to pass down the shares of the company to his children and has been involved in a business conflict with his nephew, who is one of the current CEOs. lee sooman owns over 18% of the stakes in sm, making him the controlling shareholder (the largest percentage).

now, as the executive board of sm announced them evolving into sm 3.0, they are letting out liquid stakes and shares in the market. and they did this WITHOUT consulting lee sooman. if this happens, he will lose the reigning control over sm.

so this guy flies over with a broken arm, immediately goes to a hospital (i’m telling you, this whole thing is crazy) and SUES his OWN goddamn COMPANY, which HE founded, for this move, which he claims is illegal.

the third player: kakao group. this is where it all comes together.

so, remember kakao talk? that cute little messaging app? yeah, that’s korea’s biggest messenger app and is used by 90% of the population. kakao is the no.1 competitor of naver in japan. i don’t know anything about the business world at all but i do know that kakao is one of the biggest conglomerates (#15) in korea and the BIGGEST conglomerate that is not involved in the manufacture sphere. they are huge. they are a tech-based internet company formally established in freakin 2010 after the merging of DAUM and the KAKAO INC. it has 128 affliates under it. being a conglomerate means that it essentially is composed of multiple independent business holdings. as of august, 2021, it is a bank, a payment service, a game company, an entertainment company, a fashion unit and of course, a mobility platform.

now, incase you didn’t hear of it, ive was involved in a fraud scam recently. that is because their company starship’s largest shareholder, was accused of sabotaging other rival kpop groups by mass circulating negative articles and rumors. these articles were directed at groups like le sserafim, new jeans, stayc, itzy, etc. they were also accused of rigging music stages and award shows. and guess who this shareholder was? kakao group.

so two things: 1. kakao is a group which has been expanding its monstrous presence in the kpop scene for some time now and also happens to have a great deal of authority on circulatory media. 2. sm suddenly has a lot of stakes to sell. what happens next?

since kakao had been targeting the smaller companies of kpop so far, the big 3 + hybe had not been particularly bothered by this. kakao still does not have a very strong presence in kpop and entertainment is a competitive field, largely based on luck. however, if kakao does start acquiring the shares of the bigger company, it’s going to create a big problem. and guess what happened?

kakao declared that its going to take over the shares on march the 6th. now the exact percentage seems to be unclear but i’m pretty sure general consensus says its over 10%.

if kakao did go through with this, it’s going to threaten the level of competition and the heirarchy of kpop. ik this doesn’t necessarily sound bad; i mean, who doesn’t love the fall of the monopoly capitalism. but NO, it’s the exact opposite. kakao has a lot more power than any of the kpop companies. it can manipulate media. if it does end up becoming the controlling shareholder of the biggest kpop company, and considering the fact it’s a tech company, it might shake the very foundations of kpop. the overruling monopoly in kpop will be officially established. imagine amazon and elon musk-esque craziness ensuing.

this is why lee sooman turned to bang sihyuk. it is why hybe bought 14.8% of his shares and became the largest shareholder. funnily enough, hybe is actually “trying to protect” sm from being sold out to kakao. and believe me, kakao CAN and WILL do all of the above if given the chance.

this is not to say that this drama has ended. since sm’s executive boards not only control the music sector but the other fields too, and because they have a personal agenda against lee sooman, they are expressing their displeasure over hybe acquiring the stakes. and no, hybe does not “own” sm. it will have the largest say in executive matters overall but it will not OWN sm. in order to fully acquire sm, hybe needs to over over 51% of the shares, which, you know what? who knows what might happen in the future. the story has just begun. the next stage is to wait for march 6th.

this is not a power grab. this is an emergency decision to protect kpop from kakao. a decision which has the complete potential to turn very bad, very soon.
