Hello everyone It's been a while Are you doing well? I'm just living my life day-by-day, just getting by fine. I'm always making an effort to live in the present.

These days I have been confirming and discovering who I am as a person. I feel all the things I want to say endlessly bubble up inside me, only to then forget them the next moment. This moment, where we're approaching the completion of ten years since we came out into the world. How does it feel for you? Are you doing okay?

Occasionally, no actually, quite often, I wonder about you. How you're doing, what you're thinking, your sadness, hope and despair, what you believe in right now, what you want to believe in, what you're chasing. Whether you're really feeling the seasons. As I've said many times before, the more time passes, the harder it becomes to open my mouth. I just don't know, that's all. I believe that as we get older, we learn silence.

A lot of things are sad but also happy at the same time. Happy but also, at the same time, just sad. I look at old videos, at the things I said in the past, and feel unfamiliar with myself. There are things that I can't remember for the life of me, that have become dull, and that makes me feel sad, empty now. It feels weird. I feel confident but I also don't, it just goes on. It seems like I just want to stay this way.

Honestly, thinking about what it will be like when we get back makes me both curious and afraid. Time moves so fast and everything changes. Including me. I don't think I want to just recklessly demand all the love there is, or keep clinging to it forever anymore. Instead of wandering in search of love, if I could exist with love, if I could cultivate myself through hard work, I would like to believe that love will naturally come looking for me. It will soon be our tenth anniversary. As the layers of dust of both time and emotion accumulate, things just get harder and harder. That feels quite sad to me. If you think about it, it could just be the weight of one heart with another. Maybe that's what it is. It just shows that that's how big the piece we've shared between us is, right? I will keep living, doing well, living simply everyday, with gratitude, thinking about what formed a part of me, as I always have. Will have been pp*

will we ever get to see bucky’s reaction to steve stealing omega in the spinoff

Well, as I said I’d just tell you guys what I think would happen. And this is how I envision what happens after the spinoff ends. (Spoilers under the cut, obviously)

So Steve bites omega and bonds with her in the car in the middle of nowhere and then both of them become feral for each other and Steve fucks her right there in the car before realising it’s the middle of the street and it’s broad daylight so he probably shouldn’t do that. Meanwhile, omega is like… out of it almost. Like she’s just been mated and all her senses are just out of it but also wanting Steve. She’s forgotten everything else for now.

Anyways, then Steve drives them to some random motel and gets a room and then fucks her literally all day and all night. Her phone starts going off at night, and his too. Obviously it’s Bucky calling both of them bc neither of them showed up in Brooklyn and he’s worried 💔 But Steve takes her phone away and distracts her by fucking her again and again bc he’s feral for her and she’s feral for him too since the mating is so fresh.

THEN, the next day. Omega wakes up naked next to Steve in bed and she’s like what the fuck. And then it all comes back and she’s literally distraught and feels so awful and guilty and immediately needs to call Bucky. But she can’t find her phone and that’s when Steve wakes up, all cuddly and “good morning baby🥰” as if he didn’t just forcefully mate her the night before 💀

And omega backs away like, “I can’t believe you did that” but she’s not even concerned about confronting Steve at this point about his fucked up action, all she wants to do is call Bucky or go see Bucky and somehow explain this mess to him and she gets all panicked and desperate and tries to fight off Steve when he attempts to calm her down, she’s all like “I CAN’T BELIEVE WE DID THIS TO HIM THIS IS SO WRONG HOW COULD I DO THIS HOW COULD YOU DO THIS SJSNSKS”

And Steve tries to be patient with her but finally he just grabs her and scents her and tells her to be quiet 💀 he’s like, “I don’t regret what I did. Now I need you to calm down and not do anything irrational. We’ll speak to Bucky together. I have your phone and you can’t have it back until I say so. I’ve texted Bucky from my phone telling him that we’re okay and I’ll explain everything later.”

So she’s essentially trapped and she’s like wtf… But then Steve distracts her by fucking her with his big fat alpha cock 🤧🤧🤧 repeatedly.

ANYWAYS idk why I included all that but felt like I had to. SO, when Bucky finds out, I feel like it would go one of two ways but I can’t decide!

A) He’d be so fucking angry. Like livid. Like that alpha inside of him would explode and he’d beat Steve down like he did in The Winter Soldier movie 🫣🫣 Steve wouldn’t fight back bc, well, he knows he’s in the wrong. That would just infuriate Bucky more. He’d be angry with omega too, like wouldn’t listen to her apologies and just be angry at the world. Scream at her like why couldn’t she just love him or open up to him? He’d also be mad at himself for insisting Steve give her a lift 💀💀 This would become his villain origin story and he’d become a super mean alpha who uses girls left and right, doesn’t respect omegas and is very VERY possessive of any girl in the future. He also would stop letting girls in, he’d stop being vulnerable with them, stop being charming with them. He’d just fuck them and move on and he wouldn’t trust ANYONE.

B) Bucky would still beat Steve up like he did in the Winter Soldier movie. But he’d be more hurt and betrayed than angry. Omega would try to explain and after he’s calmed down, he’d ask her where this leaves them. Omega would be so confused bc she doesn’t know. Yes, she didn’t want to be bonded to Steve, yes it was forced. But she can’t deny the yearning she feels for Steve. And I think eventually, Bucky would see that. He’d be hurt and deffo would not speak to those two again. But years down the line, he’d find his own omega and it would all click for him. And she’d love him and he’d mark her and get his happy ending. He’d be very very VERY possessive tho.

IDK THIS is what I’m feeling rn. None of this is concrete and tbh the ending of the spin-off is kind of up for interpretation and y’all can pick your own endings and make up your own ending but yeah!!!

I’ve been wondering how much of Yang’s cheerfulness may also be her filling in the gap that’s been left by Ruby? Not to say that she can’t and hasn’t been cheerful on her own, but could she be subconsciously overexaggerating? Humor is her defense mechanism after all 🤧

I don't disagree, and I do think the difference in Yang's mood and affect between episodes 1 and 2 of Volume 9 is striking, but. I think it would be a misdiagnosis to say that this is only something Yang's started doing in the Ever After. this has been going on their whole entire lives in a weird, sad see-saw.

it is time to talk about the XIAO LONG ROSE SISTER OPTIMISM FEEDBACK LOOP.

You are Yang Xiao Long, and your mother is gone. your dad is spiraling out into a depressive episode you have no way of knowing will take years for him to climb out of; all you know is that it's right now and right now might as well be always. he is not reading you stories; he is not making you breakfasts and dinners. he is not checking on you, or joking with you, or doing any of the things he'd usually do. and sometimes Uncle Qrow can do those things, but most of the time Uncle Qrow is gone, and sometimes even when he's not gone he FEELS gone, he's sloppy and tired and distant in a way that's totally different but no less alienating than the way that your father is sloppy and tired and distant. and that--well, it's not okay, but you're a big kid now. mostly. you can handle it. you can take care of that stuff on your own if you have to.

but your sister is not a big kid. your sister cannot take care of that stuff on her own. and you can take care of it for her, too-- sometimes, mostly-- but the thing you're never sure how to handle is the questions. you don't know how to answer her when she wonders why you're doing these things instead of dad. you don't want her to worry. and so the best way to make sure she doesn't ask questions and doesn't worry is to make her laugh.

you get really, really good at feeling like the best way you can contribute to any situation is making ANYONE laugh, because then it's not as bleak. taking care of Ruby doesn't get to be something you count as "good at," because it's non-negotiable, and it has to happen so you make it happen. but you refuse to let it be a burden. it's going to be fun. you find a way to make it fun, for her.

but.

You are Ruby Rose, and your mother is gone. Your dad and your uncle both love you and you know that, but there are a thousand little things that they never do for you-- a thousand little things that your sister always does for you, instinctively, automatically, without you ever having to wonder about it. it takes a long time for you to realize this is not how things are maybe supposed to be, which is what she wanted.

it is not, you begin to realize as you get older, what she NEEDED.

the more you grow up, the more it dawns on you just how much Yang has taken onto her plate that she had absolutely no right volunteering herself for at such a young age. and you cannot tell your sister that she doesn't need to do these things-- because she'll never believe you or listen to you, for one, but also because she does need to do these things, for another. someone has to take care of you. you're not naive enough to say that's not true.

but what you can do is make yourself as easy to take care of as humanly possible.

mostly, this is not hard. you really don't need a lot. 90% of the time, give you a hug and a cookie and you're good to go! but for the 10% of the time when it doesn't feel like enough, you make it be enough. you make sure it's not a problem. because Yang's already given everything for you. so you laugh at her jokes, and you make sure your smiles come easily, because. she can't think she's screwing this up. she's not screwing this up, she's amazing, she's your favorite person. the least you can do is make her job a little easier, right?

you get really, really good at reassuring your sister that no matter what, you're going to be okay.

you get really, really good at convincing yourself that if you stop finding a way to believe everything's going to be okay, nothing will ever be okay again.

everything that the sisters are going to be wrestling with in the Ever After are things they have been dealing with since the very beginning. Yang has always sublimated her own needs for Ruby; Ruby has always sublimated her own needs for Yang. humor and cheerfulness has always been the vehicle for that sublimation. each has been painting on a smile for the other for YEARS.

and so I can't categorize Yang being aggressively silly ("high five? high five?") right now as a reaction to Ruby's implosion in the same way that, say, Blake's willingness to take on decision-making is a one to one reaction to Ruby faltering, because Yang isn't reacting. at least, not as though this is novel. this is what Yang has ALWAYS done. there's no way of extracting it from the rest of her personality in any way; it's baked in.

but the opposite is true, too: Ruby only got that way in the first place so Yang could take the W and feel like she was getting it right. which isn't to say she was lying, because she wasn't, but. Ruby's optimism was always a conscious choice she made, rather than a naive trust in the goodness of the world.

it's not sustainable when it's non-negotiable and you're never allowed to show weakness or fear

and no one's gonna be allowed across that cloud bridge or through that tree until they've dealt with that.

Enjoyed both of their episodes their bankais really capture their personalities well.

Also I’ve always loved how Rukia said her Bankai idk there was something about it that always made me replay it there’s a certain calmness to it.

As to why Renji wasn’t shown I think that it’s because she has so much confidence in him she says that mask “is no match for what you are now” something like that. I mean after those 40 years they’ve basically been attached at the hip she probably believes that they’ll always be together. His absence in that panel means that she knows he can handle himself not that the others can’t but her and Renji trained together she doesn’t know what the others are capable of now.

Byakuya finally acknowledging her is the final piece to her character arc the tears in her eyes made me so happy for her !! She finally got what she wanted, to be accepted by him & to belong in a family so proud 🥹 thinking back to how her and Byakuya were in the beginning to now my gosh it’s beautiful 🤧

I’m kind of surprised at the ask you answered about Linda Thompson because you made it seem like Elvis wasn’t all that into her. A lot of guys in the Memphis mafia have said that Linda was the best for him and that he should have married her instead of Priscilla. So clearly he must have really loved her if the guys say that lol.

I’m sorry that was definitely not my intention 😭 I think I even said I had no questions as to why Elvis loved her, she gave him many years of happiness. And like with most of the women in his life, I believed he still loved her even after their separation. The anon was just asking why Elvis did some of the things he did while he was still dating Linda, like wanting to be photographed with Diana Goodman, and introducing other women as his girlfriend on stage, and I was just responding to it with the info that I have read. And from what I have read, and as Linda says herself, as the years went on they grew apart and their relationship evolved into something more platonic

And I know you didn’t exactly ask a question but I thought I would expand on you saying that many of the guys thought/wished Elvis would have married Linda Thompson as I think it again shows the importance of understanding why perspectives may vary 🤧

I have been fortunate enough to read all of the Memphis Mafia’s individual and group books// and something I’ve noticed in particular about the MM is that they tend to judge Elvis’ relationships based on how much they personally liked/or got along with the girl

For example Priscilla Presley tolerated the Memphis Mafia but never got particularly close to any of them, and as she tells it, often kept to herself/remained silent. So their choice of words for her was “cold” “bitch” “fake” “false” “unfriendly”

In fairness, she very well could have been all of those things, I didn’t personally know her then but I have to question if they viewed her as that simply because she didn’t embrace their group

I think this comes down to their male perspective: perhaps they were not understanding of the fact that a 17-year-old-girl would likely feel uncomfortable and resort to being quiet/reserved when surrounded by a group of rowdy and unfamiliar men

Priscilla is by no-means a saint but I really sympathize with her in that regard

It was the same situation with Ginger Alden, who didn’t manage to form relationships with the group as it was very split up by the time she and Elvis had met. She (mind you a 20-year-old girl) was also called “cold” “bitch” “uncaring” “quiet” “boring” “sad”

And again, she could have very well been all those things, I didn’t know her personally but as someone who is very quiet in person, I know the feeling of other people assuming you are “cold” or a “bitch” because you are keeping to yourself

So this makes me question if women like Priscilla, Ginger, Juliet Prowse, Tuesday Weld etc. etc. were actually “cold and “bitches” or did some of the men just not appreciate women who didn’t warm up to them?

In contrast you have women like Ann Margret and Linda Thompson, who were very personable, and generally had no qualms with accepting the Memphis Mafia into their lives

Marty Lacker : “The difference in Priscilla and Linda was the same as the difference between Priscilla and Ann-Margret—neither one of them felt threatened by anybody (in reference to the Memphis Mafia)”

Sonny West : “We loved her and she (Ann Margret) accepted us in the way others didn’t. There was no jealousy there, she just accepted us being around”

Sonny West: “Linda had that southern spunk and it just made her fit right in with us”

Lamar Fike: “We all liked Linda, she had a good, fun, personality”

So when asked about Ann Margret and Linda Thompson, you will often find the Memphis Mafia saying that they were the girls Elvis should have married, they were the best for him etc. etc. and again I can’t help but wonder if they believe that because they were the women who got along with them

This is why I find female perspectives (who were not romantically linked with Elvis) particularly refreshing, for example the wives of the Memphis Mafia, and employees like Nurse Tish, the secretary Becky Yancy, the maids Mary Jenkins and Nancy Rooks, his cousin Patsy Presley and his friend Patti Parry

I cannot tell you how important I find this passage below about Ginger from the perspective of Elvis’ female maid, Nancy Rooks ⬇️

“Ginger and I had lunch several months after Elvis died, and I came away with a more sympathetic view of her. I think she has been unjustly accused in some ways and somewhat misunderstood in the events of that day. There was probably nothing that she could have done to prevent his death, any more than the rest of us could not have done anything to have saved him. Elvis was a strong personality, and was used to having his way. Ginger was very young at the time. I sometimes have thought she may have been in way over her head in her relationship with him at such a young age”

I appreciate that many of the women in his life are able to be sympathetic and understanding, as opposed to judging a woman based on how beautiful she was or how much she talked

Like when the Memphis Mafia are prompted to talk about a woman in Elvis’ life, most of their initial thoughts on them are in regards to their physical appearance

- When asked about Natalie Wood, this was Lamar Fike’s initial response: “I thought she was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen”

when you decide it’s time to expand your family

when jack found out he was so excited

he’s known he wanted a family with you since the moment he met you, he says

you have an elaborate march madness style bracket to decide which after which fictional character you’ll name your child

because obviously

and neither of you can decide so jack let’s you pick

he reads loads of parenting books to be prepared when the baby is born

and that’s how he began singing to the baby

which you thought was hilarious so he switched to reading

he reads aloud to your stomach before the baby is even born

So Secret is finally over, let me just go cry in the corner real quick 😫😭🤧 but nevertheless, I really loved reading about these friends and couples 🥰 I’m going to miss this chaotic group 🥹 I still remember when I first read this and was left with the cliffhanger of MC and Chim having that fallout, I was so devastated but was so hopeful for it to only get better since you promised us a happy ending for them. I was always so excited when you update it and remember how amazed I was with how well you make the social media chapters. And now we’re here 🥺 I love how the gang is finally reunited 🥳 Tae being sulky for not being picked as best man and going through Jk’s legs to join the group hug was just so him 😂 And Jk being such an excited bunny and the OG cheerleader of MCxJimin is so heartwarming to see 🥹 This was such a great ending to their story, I’m so gonna miss this group 🤧 Hoping to see glimpses of their future thru future drabbles🤞but only if you feel like it of course, it’s completely fine if you just want to end it this way 😊 Thank you for this amazing story and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us soon 😌 I’m especially excited for the TLC continuation, I still remember how you made me feel with its ending 🙃 lol

“Heyy can I request a Reggie kray x reader (dramatic/sad) fic, where the reader has put up with lots of gangster bs under the name of love and finally on the day of her marriage with Reggie she's the happiest woman on earth until some bad guys arrive and they want to deal with Reggie and the reader is DEVASTATED because his gangster life just ruined the most special day of her life; Reggie handles the shootout quite well no-one gets injured but enough was enough for the reader, she calls off the wedding. Take it from there 🤧🤧 happy or sad ending up to you.“

I was the luckiest girl in the world. I was finally marrying my Reggie. Everyone was there. I had on my most beautiful wedding gown, and felt like an actual princess. And Reggie. Oh my goodness, his hair slicked back, gorgeous eyes, kissable lips. That jaw line, his strong shoulders, just…I couldn’t believe how lucky I was. He was the most handsome fellow I ever laid eyes on.

But of course there’s always a catch. Him and his twin brother, Ronnie, were among the most notorious gangsters in the city. And it devastated me. We had to always go into hiding. Always on the run. He was always, always getting into fights. I admit, at first it turned me on. Who could resist a badass who protected you and was into crime the way he was. And the sex after was always out of this world…

But then it got out of hand. There were situations where I would be in danger and it got too close for comfort. Guns pointed at my head. Threatening letters. Mysterious packages. And no matter how often I asked. Begged. Pleaded. Reggie was set on his ways and I couldn’t change him.

It was so, so hard. But I just know he has a good heart. There’s no way I could have fallen in love with someone so evil. He’s never hurt me or any woman and that alone means so much to me. He means well...

“Y/N, are you there?”

A voice interrupted my thoughts. I looked up and saw Reggie looking at me with that gorgeous smile as he squeezed my hands. His eyes had a softness that made me so weak I felt more in love than ever. We had to say our vows.

“Oh Reggie, I—“

WHAM!

The whole crowd screamed as I ducked, everyone hitting the ground. Reggie looked up and saw him.

“Son of a BITCH!!” He screamed, pulling out his gun and running toward the man.

It was Jimmy, one of the men from the opposing gang. He immediately shot at Reggie, who dove behind one of the empty rows of seats for cover. Jimmy hid behind a pillar as Reggie jolted up and shot at him. He missed.

Jimmy came out from the other side of the pillar and shot at Reggie, who ducked down again. As he ducked down, he pulled out a longer rifle that he had under the row, pushed up, and fired repeatedly. At this Jimmy, turned around and ran out of the building. Reggie threw the gun on the ground and shook his head, cursing loudly.

He turned around and saw everyone slowly getting up. Reggie went to me and grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the building and we ran outside, around the corner. He stopped and gave me a hard kiss when I pushed him off.

“Reggie! What the HELL was that?!”

“Oh, you know it was just Jimmy being silly. Thank goodness everyone in there knows what’s going on since they’re on our take and—“

That did it. I couldn’t believe how damn nonchalant he was. I burst into tears, crying. It was years of build up. I felt myself gasping for air as Reggie pulled me in to give me a hug when I pushed him off.

“Are you serious right now? I can’t. I JUST CAN NOT ANYMORE!! Reggie. We’re done. I can’t stay with you if this is what you plan on doing and you just blow this off so freaking nonchalantly like it’s no big deal?! You just had a shootout on our WEDDING day!!”

I pulled the ring off and threw it on the ground.

“Y/N, wait!”

I stormed away.

And that’s how it happened. I never saw Reggie again. I saw in the papers that he had been imprisoned….again. And again. And again. I moved on with another man and was happier. But I always felt I never had closure. Until…

I was at a party with some friends. I sipped a drink when I looked up and saw him. Anyone could recognize that handsome face from a mile away. My heart felt like it had stopped. It was Reggie, talking with his cronies. It seems he always avoided jail time. It really did take a lot of love to hate him the way I did.

But I also wanted closure so, so bad. But I didn’t know how to even th—

“Y/N.”

That familiar voice interrupted my thoughts. I turned around and saw Reggie.

“How are you? It’s been a long time.”

I looked away. He took his finger and gently placed it under my face, turning it to me. We just stared at each other in silence for what seemed like an eternity.

“I’m sorry. I never should have put you through all of that. I…I can’t put into words how it hurt to see how much I hurt you…”

He tried to lean in for a kiss, but I put my finger to his lips. I wasn’t in love with him anymore. Not in the least bit. I moved on and he was a part of my past. But I just needed closure.

“Thank you. I wish you well.”

That was all I said. I turned around and walked away. I could feel those icy blue eyes staring at me but I didn’t want to even look at him again. I was done and had my closure. That’s all I ever wanted.
