I wrote a part in A Doe in Fall part 4 that I had to redo; I had reader slap the detective when he suggested maybe she was hitting on him, a man coming to intervene making Brady get nervous and apologize before leaving all flustered.

But I realized--- no, this reader is too smart. She would never make a scene like that, she wouldn't know what might happen. What if everyone watches her then sit with Alastor? What if people notice and somehow remember seeing him? What if they recognize him? I loved the scene but I had to remove it. She would never do that, even if I loved seeing it.

I try to just shut down a little and see what my brain throws out unfiltered. It's really mentally taxing. I'm either 100% focused or I can't do it. I proofread maybe 6 or 7 times, or more. I don't stop until I get through it at least once without edits, and if I find myself bored of reading it, then I walk away for a second. If I am too disinterested to read it again for proofreading or just feeling the flow of it, then why would anyone else want to?

#1 A character everyone gets wrong: I'm going to make a bold choice and say Beloved, mainly because I think a lot of the fandom kind of infantilizes him, overlooking how strong, determined, and goal-oriented he is. Don't get me wrong, Beloved has a lot of heart and a lot of love to give, but what makes his character so compelling is that he absolutely wouldn't give up his Path for a life with Fitz. He loves Fitz, and he needs Fitz (literally, as the Catalyst), to bring about change, but he's always been willing to give up everything, even Fitz, if he thinks the Path depends on it. Beloved is someone who has always operated on the assumption that his life was not his own to live, and I think he'd have a hard time existing in domestic bliss with Fitz or anyone else without some higher purpose in life. I also 100% take him at face value when he tells Fitz he's been with other people before.

#3 The worst take I've seen on tumblr: I don't have a screenshot, but Molly hate, hands down. Probably the absolute worst was the take that she's an abusive gold-digger who was only with Fitz for his status. Never have I seen such a blatant misreading of a character.

#6 Which ship fans are the most annoying: This is a trick question because this fandom only has one ship with the numbers to really be annoying, and that's Fitzloved. The main thing that's annoying about Fitzloved shippers (and Fitzloved mutuals, I love you but y'all know this is true!) is just the tendency to steer every conversation towards the ship and overlook other characters or the non-Fitzloved centric-books. I wish we had more fanworks for other ships and gen stuff, but it is what it is, it's a small fandom and Fitzloved is the only semi-canon pairing that hits a lot of those tropey shippy notes.

#8 Common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about: That Fool's Assassin sucks. It took me re-reading it to appreciate it, but that book is a gem. It's very slice of life, and not everyone's cup of tea (after all, it's Fitz book mostly without Beloved) but there's a lot going on beneath the surface and it reveals a lot about Fitz's character and choices heading into the final books.

ayo big ups to the cast on this one!!!!!! I was shocked to see so few people in the cast compared to other nights (pandemic times, amiright) but hot damn what a brilliant story they weaved together!!!!

listen, I am all for Laura Kirman and Lauren Shearing romcom supremacy my dudes (gender neutral)

their love story was so friggin sweet!!! their scene on the mini-golf course and the awkwardness afterwards was so accurate and so endearing!!

Laura seems like such a load of fun - her grandiose entrance and that note she hit??????? queen shit!!!!!! excited to see more of her shenanigans!!!

and Lauren plays endearing characters so well how can you not love her????? but she's also equally loveable when she's being cheeky and causing mischief lololol

an absolute cracker of a character!!! such sassy lines and brutal advice!!! 😂 her scenes with Hen (yes, a wild Henry Lewis appeared via Zoom!!!!! it was delightful!!!! he's bloody brilliant!!!!) were so friggin sweet too omg!!!! <3

and oh my days her character ending!!!!! 😭 also, she had so many good scenes??????? but like, all of them did!!!!!!!

actually, this whole movie hit all the emotional beats incredibly well, it was magic!!!!!!!

perhaps somewhat to the detriment of the cast, with Oscar/Jono breaking character twice as he keeps an eye on them 😅 (which, mind you, was very sweet to see)

we love that moment when everyone's trying to figure out what the scene should be, so no one's actually on stage XD

Bryony: *starts to run on stage as the camera cuts away*

Oscar: Pause! Pause! Pause! *head in hands*

*cut to Bryony, sprawled on the floor as if she's fallen down the 2 steps of the stage and Dave midway through entering the scene*

*cut back to Oscar*

Oscar/Jon, somewhat nervously as he cranes his head around to look at the stage: Are you ok, Bry?

*a beat*

Bryony, offstage and cool as you like: Yes.

Oscar: Ok, good! Yes, yes, we carry on the movie- we carry on the movie- I really worried then! I really thought that we got two minutes in- gotta change the cast, got another one down- but no! It's fine! It's fine!

there is one big downside to this movie, and that is the smoke machine- terrible scene partner, never expected in the scene, always coming in too strong, 0/10 performance lmaooo

Oscar: Pause. And I think we have enough time for a final moment of performance from Bertie, who's desperately trying to work out how to signal that he wants to speak.

Hen really said "I got this, fam" and proceeded to straight up just tell Bryony to leave the room LMAO

ayo also huge kudos to Yshani and Richard for sneaking Bond music in whenever Dave- sorry, James Bond was in the scene XD

Marcus (Dave): Sorry, gals, but I'm back, and I'm pretty tired now! Alright, here we go! *proceeds to lead everyone through a ridiculously Zumba/aerobics-esque high energy dance while still looking like the most energetic person in the room*

Oscar, laughing: Pause! What I love is that obviously, when there's a song, there's a really clear moment when the song ends and we know that the movie's over. But with a dance, it's much harder to find that moment! But they do find that moment, before- because Dave does look very tired!

Marcus, voice breaking halfway through the sentence: Don't you worry, gals, I've got plenty in the tank!

*cue the music getting faster and the dancing getting faster*

and then Dave does a freaking cartwheel on the spot XD (ngl, I rated it - perhaps not in technique but geez the man has springs in his limbs lol)

summary: your supervisor has told you that you can leave for home because you finished work earlier than you anticipated. Of course, you had plans to do nothing except relax at home all day. BUT rather than spending the entire day at home in Sokcho-Si, why not visit the beach?

Finally! You finished your work earlier than you anticipated because you did practically all of the work on the cafe you were in. WOOHOO~

you exclaimed, "What a wonderful day," as you joyfully walked back to your apartment while humming a tune.

Your apartment door makes a click-signaling noise as you type in the code, unlocking it. As soon as you entered, you took off your shoes and hung up your jacket on the coat rack.

You then showered and changed into your baggy t-shirt and shorts.

You ask yourself, "Now what should I do? Hmm.." and then you look around your flat to see if you can find something enjoyable to do. Instead, you turned up nothing.

"Maybe if I just close my eyes, an idea for what to do will come to me!" I laugh at myself, you thought.

You questioned yourself, "Should I just go to the beach or what.. eh YES! THE BEACH! OMG!" and felt sorry for yourself.

You sat at the edge of the bed and inhaled deeply before saying, "yes, the beach.. haha how can i forgot about it.."

You find yourself asking, "now what? should i like pack or something?" in a daze.

You asked with a small head scratch, "i can just go to the beach while wearing this right?" You smirked at yourself and continued, "I mean, what's the purpose of changing? HAHA, this will work, there's no way that i'll get judge by wearing this."

[10:23 am]

You've already left your residence.

You can hear waves in the distance as you're walking down the street, and the tranquil sound of them calms and relaxes you. As you finally arrive at your goal, you quicken your speed.

As you moved toward the sand, you came across three men—or, to be more precise, three handsome men, particularly the one who appeared to be blonde. Before you can say, "he looks han-," a kid racing in your direction hits you, causing you to slip and fall to the ground. This causes them and other people nearby to glance at you with concern. "sh*t! Everyone was staring", so you immediately got to your feet and fixed yourself.

You bowed to the child and said, "Sorry kid," as the child's parents approached and continued to bow and apologize. You did nothing more than awkwardly smile and scratch your head.

You give them a brief glance to make sure they aren't still staring.

The parents already left.

You pulled off your shoes and sat on the sand while continuing to watch them. The brown-haired man was holding the blonde while the waves crashed on his legs, and the black-haired man was snatching the camera from the blonde man's hands. You laughed at the sight.

As you cast another peek their way, you noticed that they were vlogging. You whispered, "They kind of look familiar, though."

[5:04 pm]

The sun will set soon, you think as you check the time on your phone and put it back in your pocket.

You removed the sand from your feet by sitting on the bench, and then you put your shoes back on.

You got up and left the beach to go for food because you were already getting hungry.

You discovered a tiny establishment outside with large fish tanks and an octopus. As soon as you enter, you hear someone say, "Holy sh*t, they're in here."

With your back to them, you hurriedly walked to the table by the door. A lady approaches you and asks for your order as you are perusing the menu on your table. You give them your order, and they return to the counter.

You look at them from behind and think, "I swear, I've seen them somewhere." They appear to me to be so familiar. It's killing me. You pull your phone out of your pocket, open Google, type in the name of them separately, click the image above, and then turn to face them again.

You laughed at yourself "knew it," and then the lady who delivered your dinner earlier arrived.

[5:59 pm]

They had already left before you had finished eating. It's regrettable to consider that you lacked the bravery to approach your longtime picks in Boys Planet.

Well that's fine, maybe you can meet them again soon.

You've already paid at the register and are getting ready to leave, but you stop and think that your buddy is coming over tonight, and you realize that you don't have any food in the fridge any longer. You shrug and say, "She can just order food online."

You thought, "Maybe going to the 7-Eleven won't be bad right? I'll just buy drinks anyway" and so you went to that nearby 7-Eleven, going straight to the drink section as soon as you entered.

Two Cokes and one can of coffee are taken out of the refrigerator and placed on a basket. As you we're about to go to the counter, you saw them getting inside, You quickly hide at the shelf.

In the nearby area, you saw them enter the drink area. Immediately after, you hurried to the cashier.

The female employee gave you a blank stare. You wondered, "Okay, why is she looking at me like that?" and then you murmured, "uhm.. is there a problem? Miss." She suddenly came to her senses and began to scan the products on display.

You impatiently turned to the counter after looking behind because you thought you could hear them approaching. "Can she speed up the scanning?"

You're about to explode, you swear, "umuti hyung, isn't she the one who tripped at the beach lately?" From behind, you hear a gasp and a giggle.

"are you crazy? don't say that" you heard him say it the youngster, then followed by smack, you heard the youngster growl in pain.

Your eyes following the female employee's actions as she nearly finished scanning each item before turning to look at the monitor in front of her. "That would be 3,502 won," she declared. You nodded in agreement and slid your (right) hand into your pocket, but you couldn't find any cash there. You checked in your left pocket, but you found nothing either. "Sh*t sh*t!" You are currently in a state of panic.

You quickly inspect the phone's back, but there is no money inside.

Someone taps your shoulder just as you're about to speak. Then, from behind, you saw the black-haired man giving out folded papers. You gave him a confused look.

You received the plastic bag and the change from the worker.

You drank the coffee from the can before leaving the store.

To pass the time, you pulled out your phone and sat down on the bench.

When you observed them leave the store, the black-haired man told them something before rejoining the other person inside, leaving the blonde one alone.

You went immediately towards him after pulling out the chocolate. You distributed the chocolate.

The blonde looked at you suprise.

You tried to maintain eye contact with him as you continued, "I didn't even got to say thank you properly earlier, so here.. i'm giving you this as a Thank you.."

"Oh thank you, miss," he said, grabbing the chocolate with a big smile on his face.

You exclaimed "yeah, bye!" as you dashed from the scene and headed home.

You unlocked the door to your flat and entered without pausing to accept your friend's welcome, going straight to your room.

You shouted at the cushion as you threw yourself onto the bed.

The interaction with content on this site has just fallen so much? Like it's been maybe 2 months since I posted something and when I finally ended up finishing a set and put it out, the notes were faaaar less than I had hoped for :/

i do know for me, though, even if my sets don't do that great, i do share them with my friends so that they, specifically, can see them. even if the wide audience of tumblr doesn't see it, i do feel better knowing my friends and mutuals got to see it and reblog it and say nice things in the tags <3 it isnt much but it makes me feel a little better about the lack of interaction, at least

I am reading and rereading part 2 and all I can do is just

I will be posting a full length review from my other tumblr. But here are my takeaways:

Cheer deserves better.

Steve’s conscience knows he’s making a colossal mistake.

Nancy is a complete bitch.

Also, I feel like I will be doing a playlist of sorts for each part of the fic…as long as it fits. And the playlist will be in my in-depth review.

For now, the angst and little comfort is getting to me but I just can’t stop reading. Cheer definitely deserves better and I would love for her to go on a date and move on from Steve. For real, she deserves it.

There’s also a petty part of me that wants her to hit him where it hurts.

Cheer strikes me as a classy person. While Tommy and Carol would say a lot of crap about Cheer and Billy hooking up, she doesn’t strike me as the type who would dignify those kind of rumors with a response. If Steve were to ask her, she’s definitely not going to tell him anything because they’re not together. If Steve were to ask Billy, Billy’s just going to mess with him.

Meanwhile, Billy and Cheer *might* be friends or they might be FWB. Messing with Steve is just a bonus for Billy while Cheer couldn’t care less.

What would devastate Steve more would be the fact that Cheer is apathetic to him. He dumped her, got with Nancy the weekend after dumping her, and told Cheer that he couldn’t have loved her if it was that easy for him to fall for Nancy. So, really, when things blow up in his face, it would be karma for Cheer to say that she couldn’t care less about what happens to him.

Meanwhile, I really hope that Nancy also gets her comeuppance as well. The scene with her and Barb just makes me think that she’s definitely not much of a friend and she’s not sweet or kind. Call me crazy, but if my partner for a class project has a SO, I am not making any moves nor am I accepting any moves.

It’s definitely karma for the cheaters to get cheated on.

I can’t wait to see what happens next. But, please can you tell me that Nancy will also get what’s coming to her? Pretty please? 🥺 We all know that Steve will have regrets.

Side note: this is giving me Everlong au vibes. Throw in Eddie and it’s game over.

cheer is definitely a classy person and she will not respond to any of those rumors. if anything, she will ignore them and she won’t give steve much of a reaction if he does end up confronting her about it— he left her and she also found out that he cheated on her, he has no right to have a say in her life anymore and he will be left in the dark cause he’s definitely not getting any answers from her. Billy though? He will absolutely say stuff just to make Steve mad.

Nancy definitely isn’t much of a friend— she wasn’t much of a friend to Barb in the show either but yeah…. Karma might come back to bite her in the ass as well. Karma is definitely coming for Steve, like 100%

You are right about Eddie, if he joins the fic, it’s definitely over for Steve 😭

Immediate worry with you getting hit before seeing a cat in your place. He’s able to connect the dots fairly quickly and so he’ll scoop you up before you can be harmed further.

Does his best to take care of you as a cat. He doesn’t really tease you but he can’t help the smile that appears on his lips now and then.

Avdol can’t help that you’re so small and adorable as a cat. Definitely going to give you head pats and cheek scratches.

He will gladly carry you around so you all can get from place-to-place faster.

When you’re human, he’ll give you a small kiss on the cheek and say, “Welcome back”. He will absolutely bring up the cat thing once in a while if he’s in a good mood, but he’s not going to tease you about it so badly.

Joseph

100% let’s out an “OH GOD” or “HOLY SHIT” when he sees you become a cat. For a split second he is super worried before he thinks, ‘No, this is great. You’re so freaking cute.’

He is going to be an absolute menace with messing with your little paws, wanting to see your toe beans. He’s going to give you so many pets because he wants to hear you purr.

Will happily carry you around. Will get one of those baby sling things and put you in it.

Yes, he misses his S/O and all the hugs and stuff that you both give each other, but you’re a tiny, adorable cat!!

You go back to normal and he’ll be a tad disappointed because he misses carrying you in that sling. That disappointment goes away when he remembers now he can actually kiss and hug you without the fear of crushing you.

On the outside, he is displaying absolute loathing with this situation. You’re a cat now, meaning you’re weak and helpless and are going to be a burden on everyone.

So so worried when he saw you hit with the attack and now you’re a cat. He is just afraid of what could happen to you as a cat since your body is a lot more fragile now.

Will take it upon himself to keeping you safe by holding you. Like Joseph, he might buy one of those baby slings for you to be in just so he has you close.

Will get you nothing but the best fish and seafood to eat as well because you didn’t choose this to happen and he’s not going to feed his S/O gross cat food.

Okay but if you start purring when he pets you then he gets so soft. Like he just wants to take you to a hotel and pet you just for the purring. It’s adorable and he loves it so much.

Will be glad to have you as a human again. Will also tease you by patting your head, frowning, and stating “I had hoped you kept the purr”. But he will apologize about the teasing and say that he does prefer you like this.

Polnareff

I mean of course he’s worried by you getting attacked especially when a cat takes your place. It’d probably be Avdol or Kakyoin that points at the similarities between the cat and yourself for him to realize.

He is holding you close because he doesn’t want you getting hurt. Also so he can tease you more about how he has to hold you because your little stubby cat paws can’t move that fast.

Honestly, he has mixed feelings about the cat thing. Like you’re a cat and he can play with your cute toe beans and give you all kinds of pets and cuddle you. But on the other hand, he would like to actually kiss and hug you as you.

If you end up hissing or growling at him due to his teasing then he’ll pretend to get offended before apologizing. But then he goes right back to the teasing.

He is never going to let you live this down when you get back to being human. You were just so cute as a cat and so tiny. He’s a menace.

The smell of the beach. I like driving to our beach with the windows down because you know you're getting closer to the island area when the scent just hits you out of no where.

16. most comfortable position to sit in?

I never really thought about it. When sitting at my desk, I sit normally with my feet on the floor since my chair isn't too wide, but with my previous chair, I would like fold my leg under me.

20. preferred place to write (i.e., in a note book, on your laptop, sketchpad, post-it notes, etc.)?

In a notebook while I'm at my desk and need to take notes. When I'm on the go, I use the Notes app on my phone.

24. favorite crystal?

Labradorite is very pretty! But I also like any sort of calcites. I like the waxy look of them. Smokey Quartz is also another.

Honestly? Anything nature related. Mountains, wooded areas, stuff like that. There's just that vibe, it's really hard to explain.

Honestly? I like all sorts of cheese. Not at all picky, if it's cheese, I'mma eat it.

58. four talents you’re proud of having?

I'm a pretty good cook, my writing is pretty okay, I'm a decent crafter, and I'm a pretty quick learner.

This is gonna be my boring answer, because I don't think I have many characters I relate to 😭 But if I think of any, I'll edit the post. Sorry, I'm very boring ):

Mythology, though fairy tales are pretty fun too.

4. how did your elementary school teachers describe you?

Paola: She was charming kid, very outgoing and not shy at all. Some what smart for her own good, but otherwise, a joy to have as a student.

Paolo: Very studious, always willing to lend a helping hand, is usually the first to volunteer to present a project. Though, it's best he be seated away from his sister, else they both would be distracting the class constantly lol

Renato: A very shy and quiet boy, doesn't speak much but answers with the correct questions when called on. Doesn't cause much trouble. Excels in the arts and grades are above average.

Embry: An absolute joy to have in class, always offering to help other students and the teacher, very studious and a straight A student. Quick to make friends, but might have issues with bullies.

21. obsession from childhood?

Paola: Cartoons. Paola loves watching cartoons, even now as an adult.

Paolo: Superheroes. Paolo was obsessed with anything superhero related and still is to this day. He still collects comics.

Renato: Sketchbooks and drawing. Renato really likes to sketch and has had a sketch pad and a crayon in his hand since he was a kid.

Embry: He loved collecting weird things he would find out on his travels when his clan would move from place to place. He still does and has a box of little trinkets and stuff tucked away in the trunk of his car.

22. role model?

For the Twins: Their parents. They were good people, hard working people and the best parents a pair of kids could as for. They strive to be like them, or at least, uphold some of the ideals their parents taught them.

Renato: His uncle, Pepe. Pepe is like a father figure to Nato, a positive male influence of what a good husband and family man should be.

Embry: His grandparents. Similiar to the twins, his grandparents were very loving people and were the ones that raised him and taught him to be the good hearted person he is today.

30. places that you find sacred?

The Twins: Both of them, the chapel in Pacifica where the the player meets the Voodoo Boys for the first time. Neither are religious, but they went in there with the utmost respect.

Renato: El Padre's parish. Like the twins, he's not really religious but his family is. Plus, he deeply respects Padre and considers him a holy man...despite being a fixer.

Embry: The Badlands. He finds it oddly spiritual, being out there alone in the silence.

47. favorite type of cheese?

Embry: Whatever he can get his hands on, honestly.

Renato: He's fine with the synthetic stuff, but is willing to splurge on actual, real cheese every once in a while.

The Twins: Purely synthetic stuff, I don't think either have had real cheese in their life

54. what did you learn from your first job?

Paola: How to steal without getting caught or drawing attention to herself.

Paolo: How to hack a camera to deactivate it, the same job Paola where she had to steal something for someone else, for the first time. He was her back up.

Renato: How to hotwire a car. He was tasked to steal a car for someone, in exchange for some extra cash and a place to crash for the night.

Embry: Smuggling contraband. He didn't actually do it himself, but he was a ride along to learn and observe.

90. luckiest mistake?

Paola: She stole the wrong thing once, that ended up being worth a lot more to the client than what was originally planned.

Paolo: He kicked open the wrong door once while raiding a building he and his sister were supposed to hit, and found a kidnapped victim hidden away. So not only did he managed to save a life he didn't even know was in danger, he also earned himself (and his sister) a hefty bonus.

Renato: The golden gorilla arms he has when he's in his Oro get up, he actually found by mistake. He had actually fallen through a collapsed floor, down to the basement level. There were some containers and crates with some cyberware that was to be shipped out. Of course, he wasn't gonna let those bad boys go.

Embry: Embry ended up finding his current sniper rifle, among other supplies his clan desperately needed, by accident, when he took a wrong turn during a desperate get away drive. He found himself at an abandoned warehouse type of area. There were some bodies, of two rival gangs that had engaged in a shootout with no survivors. Finder's keepers.

98. favorite historical era?

Paola: She's absolutely fascinated by the Prehistoric area, how people went from living in caves and discovering fire for the first time, to actually having cybernetic implants installed directly into their body that can be switched out at will. Shit's crazy to her.

Paolo: The Middle Ages, particularly the "black plague" era, as morbidly dark as that is.

Renato: The Classical era, particularly ancient Greece, the foundation of philosophy, drama, poetry, and all that.

Embry: The 'Great Depression' era. History tends to repeat itself, after all.
