So, I got a comment that the sales charts from comicbookrevolution/icv2 is supposedly less accurate than comichron.com. I used to check out comichron pretty often, but then DC changed distribution system and for a while, the site didn’t have any DC figures at all. The last couple of months, comichron have a separate list for DC comics because they don’t have figures that can compare to other publishers.
As far as I understand, both the figures from comichron and icv2 are estimated and based on orders from a number of shops, not sales to customers. I don't know how reliable any of them are (and, again, neither takes into account digital sales or how well the comics do in comic book “streaming”, which will of course be important for the company).
But, for fun, I wanted to see how the two different ways to estimates compare when it comes to ranking sales of DC books. I took the 40 first books in the April chart from comichron, and the DC books from the list of 100 best selling comics from icv2 (33).
There are a few pretty big differences. For instance, Joker # 14 varies between spot 5 and 16, Action Comics # 1042 between spot 16 and 31, Wonder Woman Historia # 2 between 18 and 38, Detective Comics # 1059 between 8 and 20.
But, a lot of the books are in the same general part of the rankings. Batman, Justice League, Batman Catwoman, Sandman Universe, for instance, are in the upper part in both charts. Nightwing, Superman Son of Kal-El, Robin, Deathstroke Inc in the upper(ish) middle, Flash, Batgirls and Green Lantern in the lower(ish). And I think the overall trend that non-bat-related titles comes further down the list holds for both sources.
(Apologies in advance for the mistakes I’ve probably done, typing all those titles...)

. . #Coleção #Colecionador #Batman #MarikoTamaki #JohnRidley #DC #DcComics #DanMora #SegundoFilho #JimJaceFox #Gotham #Panini #PaniniComics #Quinzenal #Quadrinhos #Comics #Hqs #Resenha #Coleção #JamesTynionIV #jorgejimenez #colecionador #Comic (em São Paulo, Brazil) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdsqcenL2Tq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

A Lot Of Hastily Tied-Up Loose Ends: Reviewing ‘Detective Comics’ #1042
A Lot Of Hastily Tied-Up Loose Ends: Reviewing ‘Detective Comics’ #1042
Anytime a creator embarks on an endeavor to do a really long-form format to tell a story, there is pretty much that fifty-fifty chance on whether things will land smoothly or stumble quite a bit. Unfortunately, when it comes to Detective Comics the ending of the really really long Vile/Mr. Worth-focused storyline there was a lot more stumbling than smooth sailing.
