"I'm jealous of moments like in "Empire Strikes Back" where you see the back of [Vader’s] head and you just go, "oh my God, that is so cool," and wanted to try and find something like that in our film. [The bacta tank scene] was actually a Chris Cunningham-inspired thing of the idea of being in milk [like in the Björk music video] "All Is Full Of Love." He’s really a burns victim, and it’s not going to be fun for him when he’s not in the suit – he’s going to be uncomfortable. I love the idea of showing that he’s vulnerable as well. Vader’s very, very bad, and so you try and just glimpse something of him that gives him some humanity, or it makes you empathize with him. Just seeing those scars and realizing that he’s, you know, an amputee, and just reminding you of that before he does all his stuff, it makes you torn, I think. He’s just such a rich character, in so many ways."

[Star Wars days - Part 3]

"Maul breezed past the malodorous Rodians and came to a stop before a teenage Abyssin, a hulking native of the planet Byss. ... [T]he Abyssin stood nearly two meters tall. Maul tilted his head back, looked up into the Abyssin's eye, and said, "I am Maul. Your move."" (Windham, 80).

Might I remind everyone that Maul is about 7 here, so he's probably around half the height of his opponent, who towers over nearly all adult humans.

Maybe one of the most badass things Maul has ever done. No posturing, just creepy confidence.

A small thing to note -- Maul's slow walk to the enemy and use of the term "move" implies that invokes the imagery of a chess match. He operates as and names himself as one of the pieces on the board. But he is a named pawn. Sidious told him to walk there just a few seconds ago. It will be a while before he grows up into a Knight.

I FINALLY WATCHED ACROSS THE SPIDERVERSE!!!!!

I’m not the best illustrator (understatement!) but I enjoyed making the cover for my next fanfic!

I’m an Obi-Wan girl, through and through. But even my Kylo fic isn’t dark, at all, and I wanted a challenge. The idea to write a story about Anakin in his spoopy castle was too enticing! And let me tell you, the research for this story was ENDLESS! (Likely not done yet!)

Now, I hope I’ve done it justice.
