So did I miss the memo where SM has been made compulsory. I mean if it’s personal surely that means you can post, follow, not interact etc when YOU want. Funnily enough actors who have no or minimal SM activity still seem to be doing alright - looking at you Cillian Murphy … otherwise every acting role would be filled by influencers surely?? People really need to get out more and realise SM is not the be all they think it is!!🧐🙄

So. Yeah. Social media and the alleged absent-mindedness. For anyone who is reading this post and wondering what Anon is on about, chatter exists about Caitríona’s not having used social media to thank her sponsors and/or hosts of her public appearances this past weekend.

Chatter also exists about Caitríona’s looking tired and angry, and about her husband’s looking ill. Maybe she’s angry she forgot all her passwords, is tired of looking for them, and her husband feels sick about her struggle?
If I were capable of thinking critically, I might suggest… Maybe she now chooses to do her thanking in-person at events, and/or via private email or texting, and/or via handwritten note?
Maybe she’s shared with her sponsors and hosts the reason for this choice, and they understand?
Maybe she offered to make a donation to their preferred charities in lieu of public acknowledgement?
(She was seen wearing their clothes and jewellery, attending their events, and her glam team often tags the designers when they post her image.)
Maybe she hasn’t got around to it yet?
Maybe it’s between her and her sponsors and hosts, and it’s none of our business, her thanking them?
Considering the nasty shit* some people leave in the comments, and offered during her live book club videos, who could blame her for minimising her social media use?

𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 & 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐬
as we all know, currently there is a genocide happening in Palestine - 30,000+ people have died, entire bloodlines have been removed, and thousands of people are displaced with little to no resources coming in. it is important that we, as people of the world, pay attention to what's happening, so we can uplift and help the people of Palestine as they need it.
Bisan, a young, well-known Palestinian journalist has documented what's been happening in the region for the past 105 days and recently called for a world boycott week starting on January 21 and ending on January 28, so that world officials can pay attention to what's happening in Gaza and call for a permanent ceasefire.
with all this in mind, i think it's important to do my part in aiding those in Gaza who need help, and i'm also asking for my followers to do the same. so, i'll be hosting a type of game where for a small fee ($3) i do tarot readings and give astro interpretations in order to donate eSIMs to those in the region who need it.
i will be donating to GazaeSIMs which entails buying eSIMs (electronic SIMs cards) for those in the region, so they can stay connected to their families and the rest of the world during a tumultuous time where communication is everything. if you feel uncomfortable having your money go through me, then you can alternatively show proof that you've donated to the cause personally, and i will still give your reading/interpretation.
i will give updates and proof that i am doing what i say i will to ensure full transparency. if you donate, you will be answered - it may take me a moment depending on how many people participate, but everyone will be answered by February 4, 2024 - which is the week after the boycott.
i'd really appreciate it if you all helped those in Palestine in any way - whether it's through me or someone else or on your own. i will be buying eSIMs with my own money anyways, but i felt it would be irresponsible of me to not use my platform knowing i could also reach many other people.

[FAN STORY] "Those five or six minutes that will stay in my heart forever"
— Excerpt: "ELVIS: Live at the International" by Kieran Davis (2011)
February 18, 1970: Elvis backstage with fan, Judy Cherry. Judy is an England "super fan" of Elvis, who met him in 1970, at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
Here's Judy's recollections of that moment:
"... The first thing I said when he came out was just a whispered 'Elvis!' He put his arms around me and gave me a nice warm hug. I told him I had waited fourteen years for this and he said 'Have you? That's a long time to wait, isn't it honey?'
Then gave Jamie (the girl with me) a nice hug and said, 'Did you come all the way from England?' She said, 'Yes'
He said, 'Thank you, hon.'
I said, 'Elvis, do you have time for a couple of pictures?'
His answer was a warm, 'Sure.' So while Jamie was getting my camera out, I showed him a copy of the Elvis Presley story, that I had brought with me, and told him I had had it since 1957. He seemed genuinely amazed. He came across this one real old picture and said, 'This really is old, man. I was 21 years old here!'
Note: Possibly, Judy is refereeing to a magazine called "ELVIS PRESLEY: THE INTIMATE STORY MAGAZINE" (Published in 1957)

I had never saw the actual book cover (until now), thus when researching the name "the Elvis Presley story", as Judy mentioned in her recollection, it only got me to think the magazine I shared on my original post [the one above] could be a the one she was referring to. "In between these dribbles of conversation we had taken one picture (shown at the beginning of this post), had some trouble with the flashcube and now we're taking another picture... then he turned to Jamie and said, 'Now we are gonna get one with you, aren't we honey?' I got the picture, he said goodbye to Jamie and came over and gave me a hug.
I said, 'Goodbye, Elvis, I'll see you tomorrow night... whether you see me or not: cause I'll be going to the show every night for the rest of the time.' He seemed really surprised at this and said 'Eleven times! Thank you so much, sweetheart. I just wish I could meet everyone of you!'

One of the things I love the most about EP (and what turned me into a passionate fan of his) is how loving he was with his fans, he really listened to them. He treated them like people, not numbers or simply "admirers". He cared about giving them the time of their lives once they were there to watch him performing or even if they were just around to ask for his autograph or pictures. Elvis was truly genuine when interacting with them — actually this word "genuine" is used by many of the fortunate fans who got to meet and talk to him, to describe EP's interactions with them.
He cared so much about his fans that it's said he could remember the frequent ones by their names, all of them, the die hard fans, and even asked about some of them to his other fans whenever they were uncommonly not around for a few days (specifically talking about the fans that hanged around at his homes gates now).
EP was a great guy. He deserved all the success he conquered. The best performer ever! It's always said the good ones are always taken from us too soon. Well, that seems to be the truth, tragically. How we wish we could see and talk to him today, having such great memories like Judy's, while EP would be at his 88 year-young of a well-lived life. Imagine the conversations with this guy! The stories he could share with us. Anyway, we'll forever cherish you, EP.⚡♥

Geometry was a problem today. I do not know what was going on as sometimes my answers would be correct and then somehow on the next question, my answers were wrong. Ratios have never been my favorite to begin with, but I know that I will have to review this lesson and maybe check different resources to see if they help me understand the formula for solving better because I am doing something wrong. I only wish I knew what it was.
Maybe I should start using pencil for my geometry practice, but then it would not stand out as well. I like color coding. It helps. Or perhaps use scratch paper and then once I have it figured out, I can copy it back into my notebook so I don't have to waste my wite-out. I was so frustrated that I nearly ruined the tape on the wite-out! I fixed it, but frustration was so real today!
I wish Julien were here. He could explain it easily to me. He's very good at math. It's days like this that I miss the ease of simply going over to his study space and asking for help.

E PROPHET ZECHARIAH (ZAKHARIAH) THE SICKLE-SEER FROM AMONGST THE 12MINOR PROPHETS (520 BC)
The Prophet Zachariah the Sickle-Seer the eleventh of the twelve Minor Prophets. He was descended from the tribe of Levi, and seems to have been a priest (Nehemiah 12:4,16). He was called to prophetic service at a young age and became, in the wondrous expression of church hymnology, “a spectator of supra-worldly visions.”
The Book of the Prophet Zachariah contains inspired details about the coming of the Messiah (Zach 6:12); about the last days of the Savior’s earthly life, about the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem on a young donkey (Zach 9:9); about the betrayal of the Lord for thirty pieces of silver and the purchase of the potter’s field with them (Zach 11:12-13); about the piercing of the Savior’s side (Zach 12:10); about the scattering of the apostles from the Garden of Gethsemane (Zach 13:7); about the eclipse of the sun at the time of the Crucifixion (Zach 14:6-7).
“Enlightened by dawnings all above,” the Prophet Zachariah, “saw the future as it were the present.” According to Tradition, this “most true God-proclaimer” lived to old age and was buried near Jerusalem, beside his illustrious contemporary and companion, the Prophet Haggai (December 16). The title “Sickle-Seer” given Zachariah comes from a vision in which he saw a sickle flying in the air, destroying thieves and perjurors (Zach 5:1-3).
The holy Prophet Zachariah died around 520 B.C. His tomb was discovered in 415 in a village near Eleutheropolis (Sozomen, Hist. Eccles. VI:32, IX:17). At the prophet’s feet was the body of a child dressed in royal accouterments. His holy relics were transferred to the church of Saint James the Brother of the Lord (October 23) in Constantinople.

Hello! If you’re reading this it means you’ve found my blog! Just a few things before we get started that you should know about me and what I do here.
I post about whatever cartoon is tickling my brain at the moment, and I flit between hyperfixations like I’m playing duck-duck-goose. Ed Edd n Eddy is the only fandom I have major projects in, but I partake in a lot of other fandoms too. So just know, if you follow me for one fandom, it’s bound to change.
I ramble a lot. I tend to voice my thoughts out loud randomly into the void that is tumblr just because I like to talk to whoever may be listening. If that’s not your thing, you may want to block the #torra rambles tag! Don’t worry, it won’t hurt my feelings. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and I want to do my best to make this blog enjoyable for all kinds of people.

CHARA INTRO: next up, lee hyeon. he's a 25yr old city boy, currently "visiting" yuseong bay (re: staying here indefinitely) to ride out some bad press, as he was an idol up until his group noisily disbanded in late 2023. he's always been interested in cars/had some mechanic experience so he's now the shop hand at park's garage. you can view his stats here & his pinterest here if interested!

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay?: has visited a few times before, but moved to yuseong bay indefinitely in february 2024.
what does an average day look like for your muse?: wake up around 6:30 or 7:00am, skincare/brush teeth, go for a jog around town, go back home to have breakfast, go to work, go home to shower and change clothes, go out for a while (probably for a joyride, but maybe somewhere to socialize), go home to spend the rest of the evening helping out around the house or working on music, go to sleep.
where can your muse usually be found?: during the day, he's usually at park's garage. aside from that, he's known to just cruise around in his car; though it is somewhat common to see him in the recreation center's gym or at 88& bar.
how does your muse feel about hanwha resort?: indifferent. it doesn't affect him in any way, but he's currently living with his best friend's grandparents, and he feels a bit sad for them that their quiet little town is becoming a little less quiet. still, he doesn't care a whole lot as it doesn't seem to have done any real harm to the area, and is more just of a nuisance than anything from what he can see.
is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay?: he's waiting out bad press, so he'll probably be in yuseong bay until (a) his location leaks or (b) he can search his name without the disbandment news & articles about him being sued being the first things to come up. he was young when he started training to be an idol & only 18 when he debuted, soooo he's also just now getting a chance to (kind of) relax for the first time in his life—these are his motivations to stay, but he's a city boy at heart & does want to return to being a public figure when the drama dies down, so he'll have to leave sooner or later.

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome: hyeon's a very self-focused person. he's not quite as bad as he was when he was a little younger, but he's still quite aggressive & quick to use people for personal gain, then ditch them when they have nothing left to offer—doesn't necessarily want to be like this, and he's gained some self-awareness in recent times. so, it'd be nice if he can (start to) overcome this and view people as... people... instead of tools to get himself further in life!!! which will hopefully be easier for him in a place like yuseong bay anyway, where life is a little slower and the people are more genuine than what he's used to. aside from this, he has some inner child healing he needs to do and also needs to rediscover his own personality outside of the public image he's curated.

hyeon was the main rapper/subvocalist of a boy group called twi5t. debuted in 2017, disbanded in late 2023. they were pretty popular and believed by the public to be not just coworkers, but very good friends—which amplified this positive, ideal perception the public had of them. tl;dr is that they all hated each other. the only real friendship was between hyeon and one other member, who happens to be from yuseong bay and whose family hyeon's currently staying with.
in his stint as an idol, hyeon was originally the least popular member of twi5t. had an attitude scandal not long after debut, so he was under scrutiny already and it didn't help that he had a rough sense of humor and a tendency to use banmal with people he ought to be respecting. over the years, he gained (some) public favor thru the extensive producing he did for the group and other groups within the industry, solo variety show appearances, community service he was forced into, etc etc. but even as people cut him more slack and started to like him, he was perceived as being the most problematic one in the group which was... not true...
but i digress. he was one of the first members to start releasing solo music, which he "bribed" the company into. basically said "hey i'll let u guys have more of the profits than stated in my contract if u let me do this" because he was like... 21 and stupid as hell JBSDHJVSBDF like... he really thought that if he gave them a leg up, it would prevent them from trying to fuck him over. spoiler: it didn't. ultimately his contract was amended and resulted in the profits from everything with his name as an individual on it being split 60% to the company and 40% to him, but he didn't realize this was a permanent thing until a few years down the line when people who'd featured on his songs were making more money off said songs than he was. atp he was one foot out the door, not caring too much about the company or group 'cause fuck those guys for real...
still tried to be on his best behavior and was gonna wait out the contract, but shit started going extremely south with the group in 2023 and hyeon got sued into the ground for slander & breach of contract over a drunk instagram live he did where he was talking about it. aired out not only the group, but the company's business—basically talking about how the members didn't get along, citing a few instances, bitching about management never helping and just sweeping problems under the rug, mentioning how the company trapped him in an unfair contract, etc etc. so yea... his reputation's in the dirt!
anyway... he's 25 now. his brain's finally fully developed. he's learned from his mistakes. he's a better & smarter man than he used to be, but still has a long way to go. picked up a job at park's garage not longer after moving to yuseong bay, as he doesn't like to have too much time to sit around and sulk—helps that he's extremely interested in cars & had some prior mechanic experience from pre-debut and sidework for friends throughout his career.
speaking of cars........ he has two: a 2008 mitsubishi eclipse spyder, which usually sits @ the garage and his flashy daily driver, a 2022 mclaren 765lt. who's he pissing off when he goes joyriding with the top down?

Welcome to ItaSasu Winter Week 2024! This event is to celebrate the Itachi x Sasuke ship in the dead of winter. Come join us and enjoy a wintry theme for ItaSasu / SasuIta. This post has the overview of our week’s prompts and our rules/FAQ below the cut.

ItaSasu Winter Week 2024

The event officially begins on February 19th and ends on the 25th.
The Event
What is the event?
The event is an Itachi/Sasuke ship inspired prompt week with a winter theme.
Do I have to sign up somewhere?
No. You can create works and post works at your will.
Is this a low stress event?
Yes. No pressure. Just posting Itachi/Sasuke content for everyone to enjoy.
How did the event start?
The members on the ItaSasu Discord server decided on the dates and put together a list of prompts. Prompts were randomly chosen and their dates. Originally, the idea of the week was to have dark content (as is Itachi and Sasuke’s penchant), but we branched out to fluffier and less dark ideas.

Content
What types of media are allowed?
Anything you want to create is allowed. Fic, art, comics, icons, edits, moonboards, manips, headcanons, physical crafts, media, video, audio, etc.
What does “winter” mean in the context on this event?
Winter can mean anything from playing in the snow to braving the blustering winter winds. It can mean something fluffy and sweet with the characters coming closer together. It can be something bleak but empty. The winter can be a ruthless, harsh time of the year, and it naturally lends itself to dark or bleak moods or surroundings. Itachi and Sasuke have a relationship which hits these seasonal changes, so you can hit whichever side of it you want to tackle.
Do I have to use the winter theme in my work?
It isn’t mandatory to use a winter theme as a central focus alongside your prompt. But in the same vein as the theme, you can make your work completely winter-themed with the listed prompts so it does take place during the winter season, or you can give your work nods to a winter theme in spirit. We are flexible on how this is done and how you want to handle your prompts.
Are OCs allowed?
Yes. Put your OCs in your work in any way you want.
Are polyamory/threesome ships allowed?
Ships that have more characters involved with the Itachi/Sasuke relationship are allowed. Even with other characters involved in the relationship, Itachi/Sasuke ship content must be featured somewhere in the relationship dynamic.
Can there be background ships?
Yes, but Itachi/Sasuke ship content must have a role in your work.
Besides Naruto, can I include works with Boruto, AUs, or crossovers?
Yes, you can include them in your works, or other fandoms.
What will not be tolerated?
Hateful, offensive, or inflammatory content aimed towards other participants or the subject of the event. As long as content doesn’t bash or insult other participants for the content of their work (e.g. ships, characters, choice of tropes) and stays relevant to the atmosphere of the week, you can create for it.
Prompts
How many prompts do I have to use a day?
At least one prompt. Picking one prompt for each set of prompts is fine for your fanwork. You can combine prompts on each line or do them separately.
Can I do more than one work per day?
Yes, of course you can!
Can I mix the types of content I want to create?
Mixing media types for separate prompts, or for the same prompt, is fine. You can write a fic for one prompt and create art for another prompt.
What does Light, Neutral, and Dark mean on the prompt list?
In order to create the prompts, we decided to add three categories.
Light, the first set of prompts, is for prompts that have the potential to be sweeter or aren’t as dark adjacent. Like fluffy snow.
Neutral, the second set of prompts, is for works that can fall in between Light and Dark and have a more tranquil feeling. Like gray winter skies.
Dark, the third set of prompts, is for darker types of content or prompts which might lead to violent or NSFW content. Like long darkness and harsh coldness.
These are not hard and fast rules. Just the founding reason we created these categories of prompts. Interpret any prompt the way you want to interpret it.
Is NSFW or trigger content allowed?
Absolutely! Do what you want with NSFW tropes, kinks, or triggering content. We do not have specific content restrictions or ratings for what you can create, so any type of ratings is fine to create.
Should I tag my work for sensitive content?
We ask you to tag your work appropriately for content like violence or sexual themes across the platform you post your works on. Warnings for triggers and NSFW count. Redirect to other sites for NSFW content that can’t be posted on Tumblr, give warnings in tweets, or put cuts on content that might need a cut, etc. The ItaSasu Discord server has NSFW channels for NSFW content.
Does my work have to be new for the event?
Ideally, your work should be a new work for the event so your work can properly focus on the prompts we have provided here. All content should stand as a full work for the event and does not need other works for the content to make sense. However, if you want to draw inspiration from another work, you can use WIPs you haven’t posted yet or separate the entry into a unique and standalone work.
What can I create for the free day option for Day 7?
You can use any trope, kink, or idea you have in mind that otherwise appeals to you. This day is helpful if you aren’t interested in the other prompts on the list.

Where can I post my work?
Anywhere you want! Tumblr, Twitter, AO3, FFN, Dreamwidth, etc. You can add your works to our ItaSasu Winter Week 2023 AO3 subcollection.
Can I submit my work to the Tumblr blog?
You can submit your work on the blog. You may send a message to us after a day if we don’t post your work and make sure we received it, but we will do our best to post your submission as soon as we can. Submissions might close after the prompt week is finished and you won’t be able to submit anymore, so you’ll have to post them without submitting them if that happens.
How can I make it easier to share my work?
Tumblr: Long posts can go behind cuts so it’s easier to share it. Put event tags in the first five tags. Submissions with NSFW content in the post may not be possible to post on the event blog since Tumblr doesn’t allow posting NSFW content, so please host that elsewhere and share a link to that content.
Twitter: Put warnings of important content in the first tweet of your thread, or at least somewhere that can be found easily if you post it in another tweet.
General: You should have content tags in place that can be seen.Include links to your works or tags. Art can have crops if you want to exclude NSFW in an image, and fics can have descriptive information like a summary or notes.

Can I post my work late?
Late submissions are perfectly acceptable and encouraged even if you do them months after the event. We will still happily reblog/retweet your work as long as we see it after the event. We may see your works in the tags for the event at some point, but the best way for us to see your late work is to tag us directly.
