‧ ₊ ˚ ✧ › MUSE: and now, meet han mila— 25 years old, a city girl who planted her roots in yuseong bay only 4 months ago, so she's a new resident. utilizing her marketing degree ( wow, fancy ), she currently works as a visual merchandiser at eclectique 33. you can find her wip stats page here!

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay? mila has only begun planting roots for herself in yuseong about four months ago ( so, essentially, at the very beginning of this year ).

what does an average day look like for your muse & where can they usually be found? the busiest of bees, mila can be seen fluttering around eclectique, as well as it's general vicinity, the majority of time— at least, during the day / general work hours. as mornings wind down into evenings and the sun begins to set, the blonde often takes refugee at the 88&bar, nursing cocktails of her choice as a way of keeping her frazzled thoughts at bay ( when i tell you this city girl is still trying to adjust to rural living amidst having her hallmark movie moment . . . pls help her ).

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort? having no real frame of reference for what mild negativities a resort like hanhwa could be bringing to the local space and its primary inhabitants whose daily lives are now continuously altered, mila herself doesn't see the harm with how much attention it seems to be garnering. honestly, the urban crowds that filter in and out are a welcome familiarity.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay? for the time being, mila has no real idea what she's looking for just yet— coming to yuseong had been a random, but conscious, choice, one made with the intention of being somewhere different. for now, four months in and still aspiring to find some sense of rthym for herself ( as hard as that'd currently been ), the thought of wanting to leave has yet to cross her mind.

describe your muse’s wardrobe. flirty, girly, pastels. a soft romantic at heart, that aspect of her personality translates one for one in terms of her fashion.

three strong likes and dislikes for your muse. likes — floral perfumes, early mornings, staying busy. dislikes — creative ruts, the stench of fish, root regrowth.

three positive and negative traits for your muse. positives — sweet, upbeat, extroverted. negatives — impulsive, workaholic, judgy.

three talents and shortcomings for your muse. having a knack for connecting with others, a skill she'd already had since childhood that only got stronger with time, mila can make an acquaintance out of anyone. open, ready to talk about anything and everything, there's not a single person she'd ever found herself intimidated by enough to keep her distance. often times, it's this very facete of herself that leads to a decline in energy by the days end, her social batteries quick to recharge after quiet evenings, and even then, she'll often find herself engaging in conversations past her moods expiration simply because that's what she's always done. mild eye bags and all that'll be gone come time to wake up the next morning, mila engages with a smile.

what is a book/tv series/movie/video game character that you feel your character relates to? without question, elle woods has always been a role model, a character mila strives make proud.

a relevant goal or arc for your character to overcome. finding balance, not just within herself, but in this new daily life she's found for herself.

MUN INTRO: hey! my name's peyton [th/th, cst, 21+] & i'll be writing for sverre olsen, lee hyeon, selena palacio & dylan hwang here. you can find me on discord @ #seamonkeydefender & please feel free to add me w/o asking as well! discord is my preferred plotting method. all of my characters are on sideblogs aside from sverre, so i will be dming from @portra400s when necessary... hehe

CHARA INTRO: finally... my girl selena palacio. she's a 23yr old girl just trying to live her life. her dad was one of the supervisors for the construction of the resort, so their little family relocated to yuseong bay temporarily abt a year and a half ago and then selena decided to stay after construction wrapped up and her parents moved back to seoul. she's a pharmaceutical sciences major @ jeju natl uni (in her senior year) and part-time receptionist at the clinic. you can view her stats here & her pinterest here if interested!

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay?: about a year and a half ago.

what does an average day look like for your muse?: wake up around 6/6:30am, get ready for the day, have breakfast, go to jeju city for classes until around 1pm (unless it's a tuesday or wednesday in which case she doesn't have classes and instead reports to work @ cheongdanhae clinic until 3pm), maybe hit the recreational center gym or go run errands (or go home for a bit and clean if necessary), she's usually free by 6pm and will spend the rest of her evening socializing in some capacity (i.e chatting her shit at the bar or going out to a club in the city with her friends), have a late dinner, go to bed by 10:30pm.

where can your muse usually be found?: literally everywhere... she's the girl who u start to think is either (a) a ghost or (b) stalking you because she's all over the place. most often found at 88& bar, eclectique 33, the recreation center's gym, lemon martes, or lounging on the beach. every now and then she'll secure a seat at andante cafe to do work on her laptop / people-watch. checks out the farmer's market every weekend.

how does your muse feel about hanwha resort?: well... her dad was one of the construction supervisors, so if we're being honest, she's pretty alright with it. open to hearing people out / will likely change her opinion as she hears & observes how the resort affects locals.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay?: currently, the only reason she's still in yuseong bay is because the rent's cheaper than it is in jeju city and she also doesn't want to transfer out to another school again after she had to transfer to jeju natl university. will likely move back to seoul after she graduates, as the slow small community life is not for her.

describe your muse's style: primarily wears neutrals or muted colors with some pops of bright reds or pinks—lots of sun dresses and skirts with simple blouses or the occasional graphic tee. cowboy boot fanatic.

three strong likes and dislikes for your muse: really likes romcoms, getting the first slice of cake, gossiping with her friends / really doesn't like falling asleep during movies (despite the frequency in which this happens), windy days, being proven wrong.

three positive and negative traits for your muse: positive friendly, hardworking, devoted / negative naive, hungry for attention, doesn't consider the enemies of her friends to be her enemies as well

three talents and shortcomings for your muse: possesses the gift of gab, super super organized (will never forget a birthday/anniversary/etc), can do her hair and makeup in a shockingly short amt of time / can and will fall asleep during any movie or show, leaves dishes in the sink, can't whistle

what is a book/tv series/movie/video game character that you feel your character relates to?: will everyone groan and throw tomatoes if i say jessica day from new girl... she's a (very) loose inspo for selena <3

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome: she's pretty emotionally immature at this point in time, so it wld be cool to see her grow up a little??? maybe become more comfortable in her skin as well because current selena WILL NOT step out into public without a full face of makeup

ADDITIONAL INFO.

selena is 100% mexican, but was born in new york and has spent a majority of her life in south korea. speaks fluent spanish and her parents cultivated a very "mexican" environment in the home growing up but there's obviously a disconnect that selena was never fully able to bridge, and consequently has felt like an outsider pretty much her entire life.

speaks fluent korean, very familiar with korean culture and customs and has korean citizenship but she is a perpetual foreigner. has constantly experienced not being taken seriously, being talked down to, being cut excessive slack because "she doesn't know any better", being stared at, being denied access to certain places because she's a foreigner even though she's literally a citizen, etc etc etc. so it goes. it used to bother her and it still kind of does, but after a while she realized she had to take it with a grain of salt. luckily it's not so bad anymore now that non-korean ppl in korea are more common of a sight.

was spoiled rotten growing up. wasn't rich, but her dad made more than enough money to provide for her & her mom and then treat them to nice things as well; often ended up not having much leftover of paychecks, but he's the type to view money as something that you can't take with you when you die, so no point in not spending it...

got a lot of compliments from her parents throughout her life as well. was never made to feel like she wasn't good enough, wasn't impressing them, wasn't succeeding, etc etc etc. they raised her to be incredibly confident and forward. she knows what she wants and she's confident in asking for or pursuing those things.

unfortunately, she's not much of an independent girlboss </3 loves her mom so bad and will never speak an ill word of her, but one error she made in raising selena was making her believe (a) as a woman, beauty is the most important thing and the only way to be respected and (b) women must always have a man supporting them. these aren't things that selena consciously believes, but things that are so embedded in her subconscious that they guide how she lives. type of girl to always have a bf or always have a date lined up, puts on a full face of makeup + does her hair + wears a nice outfit just to run errands, so on and so forth. forgive her...

what else is there to say that i haven't already said... she's super chatty & friendly. mostly a girl's girl, but can be a little jealous if her friends are doing better than she is. likes to go clubbing. likes to gossip, and often ends up accidentally spreading rumors. has a notebook full of love letters. she has two jobs: one in which she works the front desk @ cheongdanhae clinic, and the other is a remote info-inputting job for the local pharmacy. she used to work in-person at the pharmacy, but was moved to a remote position due to the fact that she kept waving co-pay fees. she's a sucker; tell her anything and she'll believe it. does a lot of things that she regrets 2 hours later.

short muse introduction here. moon taeho, 24 y/o. university student at jeju national uni and also part times as a barback at 88&. he's a resident in yuseong bay (for now anyway) because the rent is much cheaper than in jeju city (also for now help) so it just made sense in his head to move in here even with the extra cost of transportation than to stay in the city, so he sort of just moved in with a roommate! he studies early childhood education because he wants to be a kindergarten teacher or work in a daycare (is actually looking for an internship somewhere right now so pls root for him 🙏🙏🙏). here is his profile and here is his pinterest!

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay? he arrived not so long ago on march of this year! taeho is actually from daegu and at first moved to jeju city because that's where he decided to go to university to, he has been been in jeju city for about two years (this is his third) before moving to yuseong bay. his parents aren't the greatest at parenting (at least not with him) so he's in that transitional moment of trying to heal his inner child/needing some time away from them and going to jeju for university instead of a closer educational institution. however the rent in jeju city is wildly expensive even if it's a dorm room so he was thinking about moving in somewhere else a little cheaper to cut off expenses. even then it still took him a while to find someone that was thinking the same as him and he finally took that last step to move out and here we are.

what does an average day look like for your muse? he usually wakes up at around 6:30 to 7am (when he doesn't hear his alarm) to do the bare minimum tattoo skincare (as in wash his face and put some sunscreen) and then have some breakfast, get ready to university and then he spends four to five hours seeking higher education. then he usually just goes back home for lunch to either do chores around home (or goes out to do house chores like grocery shopping/get a new shower because his broke, etc etc), assignments or simply to take a nap and eat something before starting his shift at 88&; unless it's monday, wednesday or friday, then he goes to the recreational center to work out for around one hour to two hours before going home to prepare for his shift. taeho does his shift and then goes back home for the night, still prob tries to catch up on an episode or two of any anime he's watching (and then proceeds to regret it the morning after) before going to bed.

where can your muse usually be found? he's a little of a homebody tbh so it's somewhat hard to see him out of the house unless he has something to do or a friend dragged him out, but if he's feeling adventurous, you could prob find in at andante cafe in the afternoon trying to finish some assignment while having some coffee and a little sweet treat, or the recreation center getting his weekly workout, or on either pierrot's lanes to try out some of the retro arcades or even the memoire antique shop simply to check if someone dropped any old mangas that he might be interested in, very unlikely, but it's something to get him out of the house, so.

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort? he's surprisingly neutral about it. taeho does think it's a pity and bad that the local community are losing their space in their own hometown — either because of the higher and higher prices and because the resort is so obviously trying to own it in a way —, but he also sort of thinks it's inevitable considering capitalism how the world is; sort of only hopes that his rent will remain cheaper than the his dorm room in jeju city at least until he graduates and most likely will move out somewhere else or he gets his internship/a job that gets him a little more money than the one he has now.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay? taeho has always seen yuseong bay as the place cheaper than jeju city that he's going to live until he gets his degree. even though he does enjoy the more quiet life (and despises the bad reception even if it gives him an excuse to not call his parents/to not answer their rare calls), i feel like he's a city boy through and through. he can get used to a life there if the need arises (like him getting a job/internship there, or anything like that), but i don't think that he wants to. however he isn't picky nor has this goal of living in a specific place in the end, so i guess in a way if he stays or not in yuseong bay after he gets his degree is sort of a mystery.

list your muse’s three favorite songs. in no specific order: super beaver - らしさ ; official髭男dism - mixed nuts ; urban zakapa - i don't love you. (was really tempted in making these three anime songs to expose this big nerd's ass but alas)

describe your muse’s wardrobe. one word: basic. he's very very very basic. jeans and a tshirt, usually slightly oversized/loose for comfort, in simple colors — nothing too bright (and god forbid neon) but he still wears colors —, simple patterns, simple prints; if he's feeling a little bolder, he'll bring out his anime tshirts. since he has tattoos, he usually is always wearing a shirt or a jacket over his tshirt to hide them (or expose them if he's feeling "safe") since sometimes he does get a little more attention because of them and he just would rather not.

what is a color, word, and emoji that you feel describes your muse? sky blue, diligence, 😑

three strong likes and dislikes for your muse. really likes anime, homemade food, coffee / really dislikes spicy food, being the center of attention in a crowded room/space, things done halfassedly.

three positive and negative traits for your muse. positive diligent, generous, well-mannered / negative critical, reticent, stubborn

three talents and shortcomings for your muse. talents is great with kids and with handcraft things, can fall asleep anywhere at anytime / shortcomings is stubborn in his ways even if it's proven it's not the best way, always pushes himself a little too hard/is too hard on himself, can't ask for help even when he needs to

what is a book/tv series/movie/video game character that you feel your character relates to? nanami kento from jujutsu kaisen and somewhat sakusa kiyoomi from haikyuu.

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome. taeho has a huge issue with his parents because they were pretty negligent with him but he still searches for their approval/validation/attention anyway and it'd be nice for him to realize that they won't ever really give it to him, not the same way that he does with his younger brother that is so obviously the favorite son, and not be to hung up on it and instead pay more attention to the people that genuinely care for him in his life + having a little more of self worth/love instead of just allowing himself to be taken for granted by others.

extra bits !

his parents obviously had him when they weren't prepared for it and it so obviously show. they aren't the best parents since they don't know how to interact with a kid (even more so when it's their own son) and so they were never close to each other from the start, but at least they tried even if they just ended up treating him as an older kid than he actually was.

things don’t get better when his younger brother is born as the apple of his parents’ eyes, a child that came when they actually wanted one and used the excuse that he was born with a sick body to give him more attention than to taeho (but then things didn’t change when his little brother got healthy later on).

so he learned how to be an adult a little too soon and how to look after himself; surprisingly he doesn’t really resent neither his parents nor his brother for it and he does love them dearly, would die and kill for them, even if the relationship with his parents is still awkward at best.

was always the epitome of the good kid™ (and still is tbh), always well-mannered and too worried about getting good grades and behaving/not causing trouble to really enjoy being just a kid. he was always too quiet to really make a lot of friends growing up.

as much as he just wanted to chill throughout his school years, he still ended up class president more than once and almost if not all of his group assignments he ended up as the group’s leader because at the end of the day he’s very critical and methodical about things, esp academic work, so he ends up taking charge just so things will be up to his standards. he also has very dependable vibes so people end up relying on him a lot too so in the end he does end up in positions of leadership even if the i in his mbti wants otherwise.

characteristics that he carries with himself to this day. hence why new semester is yet another broken promise that he’ll just chill in group tasks and agree with everything.

did his military service right after graduating high school because the tensions were only getting higher in his house since he started trying to demand more attention to his parents that obviously didn't know/won't give to him and one of them suggested that this would be a good thing for him, that they'd be proud of a son that didn't try to "procrastinate" his civil duties so of course he goes.

which was an experience that gave him a lot to think about his relationship with his parents so when he was done, he wasn't quite ready to go back home yet so he tries an university away from them and that's how he ends in jeju national university.

is a big— huge anime fan, has collections of mangas (that he never completes/drops midway through and reads on the shounen jump app instead), has three tattoos about shows that he enjoys/watches; but is also very lowkey about the merch that he wears/uses (i.e. wearing a sports shirt from an anime team to work out) that makes small references to what he watches, very iykyk thing.

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay? as said before, aera was born and raised in yuseong bay! she once dreamed of doing med school in some big city (seoul) just like her big sister that also went there for her university degree and have her little young adult adventures, however in the end she gave up the idea because of certain circumstances in her life. not that she's sad about not leaving yuseong bay anymore!! actually she wholeheartedly sees it as her home; she likes her job and she likes the house that she lives in, she likes (esp!!) the stray cats on the bay and she genuinely doesn't see herself living somewhere else (at least for now).

what does an average day look like for your muse? she wakes up around 7am, has a cup of homemade matcha latte (recipe from her mother! she wanted to consume caffeine in a "healthy" manner so aera grew up with more matcha than coffee in her life) while attending to the small garden that she has (that was also her mother's!), talks to the plants a little bit so they can grow well and then goes back inside to have a proper breakfast, talks a little with the picture that she has of her parents in their little altar. then she gets ready goes to work after a cheerful i'm going now but i'll be back in the evening! goodbye to them so she's at clinic at 9am. as promised is only back around dinner time; usually she's too tired to cook so she buys dinner on the way or shamelessly stops by the place of one of the elderly couples/people that saw her grow up and knows that they'd never refuse to feed her (as a matter of fact they're more than glad to do so!), besides the company always does her good. then she goes home to watch some drama while doing some crocheting, especially if she didn't have any other opportunity to do so during her day (like having a slow day at work or anything like that); goes to bed around 10pm the earliest, 11pm to 12am the latest.

where can your muse usually be found? besides work (rip aera and her 10 hours shifts), she can also be seen around the pier around mid afternoon, even more so during the colder seasons, trying to put sweaters (that she made herself) on the cats of the community they have in yuseong bay; goes to daeyanghwa florals every two weeks or so (or when she wants to treat herself a little) to get gardening supplies or new seeds/flowers for her garden and goes to lemon martes almost weekly for groceries because she always forgets one thing or two even with always having her groceries list with her— also enjoys the farmer's market to see the stalls and encountering a familiar face or two. once in a blue moon, she can also be seen in the recreation center trying to start some working out routine that she drops after a day or two.

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort? it's a little complicated because as much as she loves the fact that it's bringing attention to yuseong bay and allowing new people to go in and out of the town in a frequency that was never seen before, aera can't help but also feel a little resistant to how it's changing the town that she has known since she was young, after all, she was never good at dealing with change to begin with and if she really stops to think about it, she gets anxious about her own lifestyle being affected eventually (esp because of the higher prices that are only getting even higher); on top of it, she doesn't like the overall way that the resort treats the rest of the city, either like they're an annoyance to their business or as if they were part of the entertainment that they were providing.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay? as said before, aera isn't very good with changes and she has lots of attachments with the town so she has more reasons to stay than to leave. even if she does say that she dreams of a life out of it (and romanticizes the hell out of it), deep inside she feels like the calm and quiet life of a small town like yuseong bay suits her the most and she doesn't genuinely sees herself anywhere else for now. but then it's hard to say how much those desires is from the way she decided to deal mainly with her grief and how much is from a personal desire/want or even if it really matters in the end.

describe your muse’s wardrobe. cute scrubs, mostly very light/pastel colors, a combination of feminine and comfortable. loves loves to wear oversized sweaters/cardigans (and alikes), even more so when she learned how to make them herself and that's why it's not unusual to see her with rolled up sleeves of whatever she's wearing so her hands are usable, also adores short overalls and high waist bottoms (skirts, shorts, jeans, etc etc), sneakers over anything else but does own a couple of heels for any "fancier" events even if they're very rare.

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome. TW DEATH & GRIEF it's been six years since her parents passed away and even though she swears that she's over it, aera obviously isn't. she's still incapable of letting them go. of course that she isn't as depressed as she was during the highest point of her grieving process, but she's also sort of lowkey in denial while clinging to small things that she feels are the only things that she has of her parents (i.e. her house which ends up stretching to yuseong bay as a whole, the necklace she is always wearing that is from her mom's, even her love for match only developed after her mother died, etc etc) so i wished that she'd genuinely move on and cling to her parents' memory in a healthier way/in a way that doesn't stop her from doing things that could want but (maybe) convinces herself that she doesn't (like leaving yuseong bay even if for vacation). END OF TW. also she's almost ridiculously afraid of ending up alone/feeling lonely so hopefully she'll overcome that and make healthier friendships/be taken less advantage by people just to make them stay 🙏

extra bits !

started crocheting as a way to deal especially with stress related to getting her nurse license and now it's become a habit/hobby, it isn't really unusual to see her crocheting somewhere, even during work if it's a slow day; part of her love language became offering/making sweaters or scarves or keychain sized amigurumis for the people that she cares about (including the community of cats in yuseong bay).

once in a blue moon she gathers enough stuff to sell that at the farmer's market in a very small stall, but it's extremely rare since she has a full time job and usually gives away anything that she makes that isn't for herself anyway.

has a driver's license because her sister insisted that she at least learned how to drive just in case, is pretty ok at it but has no real interest in getting a car for herself.

has a good relationship with her sister even if it'd be easy to assume that they're strained (i.e. big sister doesn't visit often unless it's some special event like chuseok or anything relating to their parents', aera doesn't visit her at all because that would mean leaving yuseong bay, their different personalities, etc etc). they still care for each other and even though big sister can be a little pushy in trying to get aera to move on from the things that she feels like aera needs to, she means well and tries to tone it down when/if aera calls her out in it.

is always wearing a delicate necklace with a pendant of a single (real) pearl that used to be her mother's. the story behind it is that it was aera's father engagement present to her mother, it was even said that he fished that pearl himself and then asked to make a necklace out of it; it's unsure how true this story is but aera believes it wholeheartedly.

had a very serious relationship (wc coming soon!!) that ended up badly and now she's also scared of falling seriously in love again, instead she is more fond of the idea of love and her feelings are completely about the image/idea of the target of her affection that she has in her head instead of the real person, thinking that this way she'll protect herself from genuine feelings + still enjoying her romanticized (and somewhat shallow tbh) idea of love. big consequence of it is that she has at least one new crush every day and then ghosts anyone who shows genuine interest to her.

would love to adopt a cat (or any pet tbh) but feels like her lifestyle is too busy to be able to properly take care of any other living being that isn't the plants in her mother's garden so instead she tries to look after the kittens and any other strays that she meets on the street but then again never fully commits to it.

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay?

hamin arrived to yuseong bay at the beginning of june '01, that is - when he was born! he grew up on the island, too, scarcely leaving it, save for a couple swimming competitions left and right, when he could afford it; the longest he's been off the island was the near-twenty months he was stationed mainland during his military service.

what does an average day look like for your muse?

his average day is very... average. hamin wakes rather early in the morning, preferring (and being assigned to; with the way everything works around the bay, i assume that his manager would meet him half-way) morning shifts at lemon marts. he prefers the european style of breakfast; a coffee and a smoke, sometimes had at home and sometimes in front of andante, before his shift starts. there, nine hours pass slowly, welcome and have a nice day doorbell rings constant, but nonetheless, he is a diligent worker. depending on the day, he either delivers groceries to elders of the town who cannot make the trip on their own, or he is picking his brother up from school. he tries to read in his free time, but his attention span is somewhat fried. he also does physical work around the house, having stepped as the de-facto man of the house in his father's absence. over the weekend, he can be seen at 88& bar, or at pierrot lanes.

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort?

feelings about hanhwa resort are conflicted - on one hand, he understands that this offers new job positions to many residents of yuseong bay and a better chance of life. a larger part of him, however, thinks their town isn't built to support the amount of people coming in, or whether the native residents will even be able to survive with the rising prices of living. it's something that tears him at the seams and with it being a conflict within his closest friend group, too, he prefers not to think of it for as long as he can.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay?

once upon a time, hamin wanted to leave. he had big dreams of being a national athlete, however, those all fell through. that is why nowadays, he wants to stay; a sense of duty to provide for his family and see his brother grow up well anchoring him down.

list your muse's three favorite songs.

love wifi - hong jinyoung, love love love - kim hyunsuk (an unusual liking for trot influenced by his mom's taste), i'm a b - hwasa (it was definitely better waking up and seeing one of the red moon concept photos of her first thing in the morning rather than his cranky superior's face)

describe your muse's wardrobe.

very simple and comfortable before everything else. summer wardrobe consists of cotton shorts and shirts, swimming trunks used as everyday wear, staple fake nike slippers, airy clothes (x, x). winter wardrobe consists mostly of loose-fit jeans and sweatshirts, and sweaters his grandma made (x, x). owns one pair of sneakers, a pair of winter boots, indoor flipflops and aforementioned 'nikes'. a lot of his clothes is old, in a sense that he takes good care of it and buys new clothes only when necessary.

what is a color, word and emoji that you feel describes your muse?

for color, i'd say a beau blue - any of faded blues in general. word is one that is this blog's url - flotsam: debris in the water that was not deliberately thrown overboard, often as a result from a shipwreck or accident. and emoji would be a simple smiling one - 🙂 - as he tries to keep a smile in spite of what life throws at him.

three strong likes and dislikes for your muse.

likes: swimming (though he would never admit it, insists on hating it instead), cats, walking on the beach - as corny as it sounds. dislikes: gossip, small talk in the mornings, horror movies

a bit like eli jang, minus the criminal past and a child. very protective of family and friends and overall kind, non-judgemental and non-confrontational individual.

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome.

1) quit smoking; 2) keep his friend group together and from falling apart; 3) go back to swimming, even if it's not on a competitive level again; 4) find his kicked out slash runaway father so that his mom can finally go through with the divorce and he can get his money back. from these, the most plausible one is the first one and the one that breaks his heart the most... is the second one.

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay?: has visited a few times before, but moved to yuseong bay indefinitely in february 2024.

what does an average day look like for your muse?: wake up around 6:30 or 7:00am, skincare/brush teeth, go for a jog around town, go back home to have breakfast, go to work, go home to shower and change clothes, go out for a while (probably for a joyride, but maybe somewhere to socialize), go home to spend the rest of the evening helping out around the house or working on music, go to sleep.

where can your muse usually be found?: during the day, he's usually at park's garage. aside from that, he's known to just cruise around in his car; though it is somewhat common to see him in the recreation center's gym or at 88& bar.

how does your muse feel about hanwha resort?: indifferent. it doesn't affect him in any way, but he's currently living with his best friend's grandparents, and he feels a bit sad for them that their quiet little town is becoming a little less quiet. still, he doesn't care a whole lot as it doesn't seem to have done any real harm to the area, and is more just of a nuisance than anything from what he can see.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay?: he's waiting out bad press, so he'll probably be in yuseong bay until (a) his location leaks or (b) he can search his name without the disbandment news & articles about him being sued being the first things to come up. he was young when he started training to be an idol & only 18 when he debuted, soooo he's also just now getting a chance to (kind of) relax for the first time in his life—these are his motivations to stay, but he's a city boy at heart & does want to return to being a public figure when the drama dies down, so he'll have to leave sooner or later.

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome: hyeon's a very self-focused person. he's not quite as bad as he was when he was a little younger, but he's still quite aggressive & quick to use people for personal gain, then ditch them when they have nothing left to offer—doesn't necessarily want to be like this, and he's gained some self-awareness in recent times. so, it'd be nice if he can (start to) overcome this and view people as... people... instead of tools to get himself further in life!!! which will hopefully be easier for him in a place like yuseong bay anyway, where life is a little slower and the people are more genuine than what he's used to. aside from this, he has some inner child healing he needs to do and also needs to rediscover his own personality outside of the public image he's curated.

hyeon was the main rapper/subvocalist of a boy group called twi5t. debuted in 2017, disbanded in late 2023. they were pretty popular and believed by the public to be not just coworkers, but very good friends—which amplified this positive, ideal perception the public had of them. tl;dr is that they all hated each other. the only real friendship was between hyeon and one other member, who happens to be from yuseong bay and whose family hyeon's currently staying with.

in his stint as an idol, hyeon was originally the least popular member of twi5t. had an attitude scandal not long after debut, so he was under scrutiny already and it didn't help that he had a rough sense of humor and a tendency to use banmal with people he ought to be respecting. over the years, he gained (some) public favor thru the extensive producing he did for the group and other groups within the industry, solo variety show appearances, community service he was forced into, etc etc. but even as people cut him more slack and started to like him, he was perceived as being the most problematic one in the group which was... not true...

but i digress. he was one of the first members to start releasing solo music, which he "bribed" the company into. basically said "hey i'll let u guys have more of the profits than stated in my contract if u let me do this" because he was like... 21 and stupid as hell JBSDHJVSBDF like... he really thought that if he gave them a leg up, it would prevent them from trying to fuck him over. spoiler: it didn't. ultimately his contract was amended and resulted in the profits from everything with his name as an individual on it being split 60% to the company and 40% to him, but he didn't realize this was a permanent thing until a few years down the line when people who'd featured on his songs were making more money off said songs than he was. atp he was one foot out the door, not caring too much about the company or group 'cause fuck those guys for real...

still tried to be on his best behavior and was gonna wait out the contract, but shit started going extremely south with the group in 2023 and hyeon got sued into the ground for slander & breach of contract over a drunk instagram live he did where he was talking about it. aired out not only the group, but the company's business—basically talking about how the members didn't get along, citing a few instances, bitching about management never helping and just sweeping problems under the rug, mentioning how the company trapped him in an unfair contract, etc etc. so yea... his reputation's in the dirt!

anyway... he's 25 now. his brain's finally fully developed. he's learned from his mistakes. he's a better & smarter man than he used to be, but still has a long way to go. picked up a job at park's garage not longer after moving to yuseong bay, as he doesn't like to have too much time to sit around and sulk—helps that he's extremely interested in cars & had some prior mechanic experience from pre-debut and sidework for friends throughout his career.

speaking of cars........ he has two: a 2008 mitsubishi eclipse spyder, which usually sits @ the garage and his flashy daily driver, a 2022 mclaren 765lt. who's he pissing off when he goes joyriding with the top down?

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay?: in general, 20+ years ago. dylan was born & raised in santa monica, ca, usa, but spent summers in yuseong bay with his maternal grandparents & then relocated to yuseong bay with his mom when he was about 14. lived in the area until he was 19, then moved to seoul. moved back to yuseong bay in late january 2024 to take some time to focus on himself/his physical & mental health.

what does an average day look like for your muse?: wake up, tend to his pet rats, go to work around 10:20am / open the shop by 11am, work until 6:30pm, get dinner, find something social to do for a while (or skip this step), go home, tend to his pet rats, chill, do chores, chill, kiss his rats goodnight, go to bed.

where can your muse usually be found?: first and foremost, ojo records. as the manager & one of two employees, he's pretty much always there. his favorite post-work hangout is pierrot lanes, where he either hangs around the pool tables to hustle anyone who doesn't know better or plays some of the more classic arcade games. hangs out at 88& bar more than he ought to as someone who's trying to quit drinking, but still not as often as you'd think—maybe two nights a week. stops by memoire antiques every weekend, usually around noon on either saturday or sunday. sometimes goes through stints where he won't be seen anyone other than work, as he'll be rotting in bed for the rest of his time. usually tries to stay busy.

how does your muse feel about hanwha resort?: it's complicated.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay?: on one hand, yuseong bay is his hometown & where all of his remaining family is located.... on the other, it's a little too quiet for him. but at this moment in time, he's staying in yuseong bay to "reconnect with his roots", take it slow and try to take on a healthier lifestyle, as the way he was living in seoul turned him into a candle burning at both ends & he'll be in yuseong bay until he feels like that's become a more stable and mature person.

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome: for starters, dylan is a man who never made peace with the loss of his father, which happened fourteen years ago now so hopefully being with his family again/taking a break from his fast-paced lifestyle will help him kind of heal??? TW ALCOHOLISM he's also trying to get sober because in general he has an addictive personality and should really quit before it gets any worse than it already is and also he experienced alcohol poisoning and that shit is no joke. so yeah... get sober! dylan is the founder, frontman & lead guitarist of a band interchangeably called both haze & through the haze, which he started when he was 19, shortly after he moved to seoul. their main inspirations are cited as being the cocteau twins & blue oyster cult. they never got to the point of being a widely known name, but they're performed at various indie rock festivals nationwide. currently on an indefinite hiatus as dylan decided to take some time to focus on himself & get healthy, which is nice and all, but the rest of the band's kinda pissed 'cause they've been fighting to get a record deal, they finally got one and dylan blew it off. their discography draws from the likes of silica gel, thornapple, hyukoh & the black skirts.

he's from santa monica, california, where he was born and raised for the first 14 years of his life, but he spent summers in yuseong bay with his maternal grandparents. his dad passed away in late 2009, and in early 2010, dylan, his sister, his mother, and his uncle richie (his dad's brother) all relocated to yuseong bay permanently.

dylan's mom opened a hair salon in the area, which she still owns and works at to this day. dylan's sister works there with her, and dylan briefly worked there when he was 18-19 (despite not being licensed lmfao). every now and then he'll pop in to help still.

dylan moved to seoul in 2016, where he resided with only one or two visits to yuseong bay a year up until he moved back in january 2024.

is now the manager of ojo records! the job was absolutely handed to him, as his uncle richie is a good friend of the owner & dylan spent a good amount of time with the two of them while he was growing up. but despite getting handed the job, he is actually a dedicated manager.

he skateboards & is good at it, but falls a lot because he always wants to be better and achieve more. often scraped up.

lives alone with his two pet rats. somewhat of a hoarder. not intervention-level yet, but it could probably get to that point if he's not careful. collects objects to fill his emotional void.

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay? "about the time my mom and dad brought me home from the hospital in jeju city, haha. i'm a lifelong resident; spent my childhood on these farms and beaches and woodlands. i don't think i'd have it any other way, though."

what does an average day look like for your muse? "basically as soon as my eyes open, i'm heading out to check on the bees. it's almost time to relocate them to their natural hives since winter is essentially over, so i like to see how they're doing in the morning when it's cooler. after i tend to them for awhile, i head in and get dressed and then i ride my bike over to andante for some coffee and a pastry. it's kind of a ritual. after breakfast, i head back home and check on the bees again. i might do some weeding around their area or even mow the grass around there. if it's a market stall day, then i'll collect some of the surplus honey and jar it up before heading over to the stall and stocking it up. i'll hang around there for a few hours before, you guessed it, i head back home and tend to my honeybees. it's a tough job, but someone has to do it."

where can your muse usually be found? "at home in my garden, which is where my hives happen to be. if i'm not there, i'm probably at the farmer's market or even the beach."

"please know that i don't use his word lightly, but ... i hate it. little by little, they are ruining this town. not every natural space has to become a concrete jungle, and that's exactly where i see this going. there are important farms and homes and ecosystems here that they disrupt with their very presence. i have no ill will towards the rank and file employees, they're just doing their job. but the corporate entities that oversee hanhwa? yeah, they're not exactly my favorite people."

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay? "i have no desire to leave this town. it's my home; it always has been and it always will be. i'll leave the rest of the world for everyone else. you can find me here when you're done."

what is a color, word, and emoji that you feel describes your muse? i think the perfect color for jaeyong is a natural soft yellow or gold that mimics early morning sunlight. his associated word would have to be eudaimonia. his most fitting emoji would likely be 🐝.

three strong likes and dislikes for your muse. likes: fresh honey, soft sweaters & acoustic guitars. dislikes: arguing, harsh chemicals & feeling pressured.

three positive and negative traits for your muse. positive: gentle, compassionate & insightful. negative: obsessive, aimless, timorous.

three talents and shortcomings for your muse. he's very skilled at caring for bees and at entomology in general. he shares empathy even for the smallest insects and tries to help as many thrive as he can, short of damaging or invasive species. he's fairly charming when it comes to selling honey too, and he sells his charisma almost as much as the product. he's also a very skilled guitar player, and can sometimes be found strumming away in his room in between yard mowing breaks. he can be completely spineless when it comes to people, however, and telling them what he really thinks. he's also a little single-minded when it comes to his lifestyle; the success of his hive is seemingly always at the forefront of his mind and it can lead to him neglecting other aspects of his life. jaeyong is very simplistic too, almost to a fault. he doesn't really aim for much in the way of success and rejects a lot of complicated technologies.

what is a book/tv series/movie/video game character that you feel your character relates to? i would most likely compare him to pierre from stardew valley, at least loosely. i also feel like he's a bit like arrietty from the secret world of arrietty!

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome. i'd love for his distaste for hanhwa to come to a head in some way, whether that be him just accepting it in the long run or actually doing something about it. maybe his happy-go-lucky nature gets tested like never before and he does something underhanded, and then has to spend his time making up for it? i'd also like to build on his confidence a bit, and make him a little more comfortable speaking up. and then there's the whole obsessing over his bees thing. i would love for him to strike a good balance between his work and the people in his life rather than focusing all his attention on the former.

RAIN'S PROMPT ANSWERS

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay? "it was, ohhh, about three years ago now? it was so foggy, i could barely see the bay, but i still felt more at home here than i had in awhile. i had to get away from chiang mai ... a bad relationship, you see. i'll spare you the details, but my family always used to come on vacation to yuseong bay and there was someone here i was friends with when i was younger. i decided to go out on a limb and reach out to them and long story short, here i am."

what does an average day look like for your muse? "i wake up pretty early and i'll usually have some breakfast or a shake, if i don't grab something from the café on the way to work. then i head to the community center, or to the gym more specifically, usually with my playlist at full volume by that point, but i digress. i'll spend a good hour stretching before my shift starts, because you do not want to experience a muscle giving out or locking up on you when you're holding a heavy weight. then i'll start working with my usual clients, walking them through certain pacing issues, showing them new techniques or spotting for them. then i might join in on a dance or baking class, depending on what's going on at the center that day? sometimes i'll stop by the bar on my way home to have a drink with a couple of friends, or i'll meet with my pai gow club to play a few games to wind down after work. then it's pretty much home to have dinner, maybe read a little bit and then i'll head to bed."

where can your muse usually be found? "i can't lie, i spend a lot of my time at the community center. whether it's at the gym or in the pool, at one of the other classes or just out on the grounds. it's a nice, peaceful place to be."

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort? "i guess i'm not really sure? on the one hand, people who stay there come to the gym sometimes and need a trainer, so it kicks more business my way, but ... i also can't help but feel like it's slowly taking away some of the magic of yuseong bay? commercializing it, i guess you could say. i feel bad for the people it's affecting negatively."

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay? "i would just like some time, i suppose. some would argue i've had more than enough, but the truth is, i'm still finding out who i am and what i want to do. i hate when people act like i should have it all figured out. i don't think that will ever happen, but i hope being here can help."

what is a book/tv series/movie/video game character that you feel your character relates to? i definitely think rain has a similarity to leah from stardew valley, but i also draw parallels between her and sophie hatter in how mild-mannered, sensible and humble they both are.

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome. i would like to develop rain's ability to trust other people with her feelings in all facets of life, as it's arguably her biggest struggle. i would also like for her to let go of all the anger and resentment she feels for her ex since it's really only hurting her in the long run.

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay?

got here literally a couple days ago!!! is staying at her parents', but dear god is she regretting it. is already looking at alternative accommodation. has been doing her best to work off the jetlag, but its really mostly been andante for coffee and back to her place to sleep/work.

what does an average day look like for your muse?

wake up somewhere between 9-10, get caffeine in her. hunt down her latest victim for an interview, or whoever was unlucky enough to be scammed into bringing her around. with luck, she gets some footage. sometimes she's got an episode to record, so the yuseongers are rid of her for a couple hours. stay up til she falls asleep on her laptop. what a life, baby!

where can your muse usually be found?

andante, nursing a drink and going cross-eyed staring at her screen. her blue light glasses make her look like a dweeb, and yes, you can laugh. she has no qualms about asking to share a table <3 / lemon martes, wandering around like a lost ghost. she just likes looking at the displays, ok? / staring dubiously @ pierrot's clown mascot, the lighthouse, antique shop, the old mines, and hovering around the mouth of the woods. its like shes trying to stare them down.... see if something goes bump

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort?

i don't think she even knows about the resort.. jk! its hard to miss a gigantic building smack dab where she used to go crabbing. there's probably a sense of nostalgia for what things used to be, but she understands that capitalism is a necessary and unstoppable evil. if her parents nag her about marriage one more time, she's booking a room there.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay?

the expectation's always been that she'll leave--- while she doesn't have a return ticket booked, she's based in the us, and once she's got enough footage, she's gonezo.

she was heavily inspired by daphne blake from scooby doo, and even her name's a homage to that! daeun would like how she stays true to herself (and has great style!) while still kicking ass! she thinks daphne was ahead of her time, retaining her femininity while still pulling her weight and being useful to the scoobies in her own way.

a relevant goal or arc for your character to overcome.

accept she'll probably never make her parents proud, fully accept and move on from that. also pay her own bills, damn. something something true independence....

CHARA INTRO: first up, sverre olsen. he's a 26yr old grad student studying @ jeju natl university on the gks scholarship. he's an assistant editor for the local paper, but mostly works remotely as he spends a lot of time in jeju city for school. currently on his ~2nd year of living in yuseong bay. you can view his stats here & his pinterest here if interested!

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay?: technically, about three and a half years ago when he did a semester abroad @ jeju natl uni as an undergrad student. he was living in jeju city, but a friend brought him to yuseong bay to see the meteor shower and he kind of fell in love with the place, which prompted him to consider doing the entirety of his grad studies in jeju. obviously, things ended up working out in his favor and he moved to yuseong bay two years ago.

what does an average day look like for your muse?: wake up at 6:30am, check on his cat (let her in if she spent the night outside; let her out if she spent the night inside) / make sure she has food, get ready, grab a quick coffee & breakfast @ andante cafe, catch the bus to jeju city, hate his life for about 7 hours, catch the bus back to yuseong bay, check on his cat (let her in if she spent the day outside; let her out if she spent the day inside), spend the rest of his evening working thru his laptop, which he will usually do in a public setting in order to people watch and daydream about having more friends than he does, try to go to bed by 10:30pm, usually lay awake regretting until midnight. rinse, repeat.

where can your muse usually be found?: around 7:30am he'll make a brief appearance at cafe andante (every weekday) / 8am to 3pm he'll be in jeju city @ jeju natl uni (mon, tues, thurs, fri) / frequently makes appearances at daeyanghwa florals to buy himself flowers, usually around 5:30/6pm / stops by ojo records about once every two weeks to see if anyone's given up any old records that might be up his alley / seen in the vicinity of hanwha resort wednesdays around 11:30am for undisclosed reasons, shut up, no you didn't see him there, that must've been someone else / does his weekly grocery shopping at lemon martes on wednesdays somewhere between 2pm and 5pm, usually loiters for a bit hoping to have a meetcute (hasn't happened yet, maybe next time?).

how does your muse feel about hanwha resort?: admittedly indifferent, but the general consensus suggests that he shouldn't be too into the idea, so he'll talk his fair share of shit if the social situation calls for it. unfortunately his parents chose to purchase a timeshare as an excuse to be closer to him for at least two weeks out of the year, so that's both making sverre truly hate the place but also making the locals think he's a supporter since his name is also on the timeshare and he has to attend the seminars.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay?: eh... he's got a stray cat that's taken a shine to him, he's on a full-ride scholarship and still has another year to go before he gets his master's degree, and rent's cheaper here than it is in jeju city, so he's got reasons to stay at least for the next year. however, he doesn't romanticize yuseong bay like he used to & wouldn't be opposed to relocating—regardless, he'll have to go back to the netherlands once he's done with school, soooo...

describe your muse's wardrobe: “grandpacore,” to put it simply. a color palette of neutrals in vintage inspired pieces. a lot of chunky sweaters, loose trousers & loafers, has sometimes been told that his fashion choices are “reminiscent of oatmeal,” whatever that means. occasionally breaks out a bold t-shirt or sweatshirt with some ironic phrase on it. accessorizes with messenger bags, dad hats, minimal gold jewelry & retro (sun)glasses. has a collection of converse high-tops, but rarely wears them these days.

hi everyone! it's javi (he/they) back at it with my 5th muse, sunny! she's a rebranded muse and one of my absolute favorites, so i hope you all love her! as always, you can reach me through ims or discord (preferred) upon request. i'm usually always around and respond pretty quickly to plotting. under the cut, i'll have more info about her, if you're interested!

tldr bio from her app --

sunny is from california originally and lived there until she was in 7th grade, before moving to korea and going to an international school in seoul. her father died when she was young and her mom basically blew all of his insurance policy payout bc she thrived on living the high life. she then married a wealthy korean man who moved her and sunny back home to seoul where they could "start anew".

she ended up leaving the city when she graduated high school and instead of going back to california, decided to explore more of korea. she ended up loving the small town of yuseong bay and got a job at daeyanghwa florals. when the owner learned she was essentially homeless, she took sunny in and the two became really close. tragically the owner would pass away, leaving her home and daeyanghwa florals to sunny since she had no other living relatives.

sunny never wants to leave yuseong. she's quite content here, although the resort encroaching on the small town's blissful sort of untouched environment is ruining her vibe and she's very vocal about it.

personality --

sunny's very chill, friendly, and super intelligent. she is very easy to get along with because she generally never has a bad thing to say about anyone (mostly because she's someone who thinks deeply before saying anything). depending on the person, sunny can be quite outspoken or very unresponsive. it's not surprising that someone could either find her very intimidating or her presence very warm and alluring.

other --

other than gardening and arranging flowers, sunny's spent time studying botany and plant biology. she grows her own garden, started and maintained by the previous owner, but is pretty self sustaining just based on the various types of fruits and vegetables found in her yard.

she also maintains a medium sized green house, where she grows plants of a certain illegal variety, which she dries and sells to trusted customers only.

she also can be found baking and selling her local goods at the farmers market.

hi! it’s mai (she/her, gmt+8) and i’ll be writing for lee harin, miss ballerina turned nobody. under the cut is a little tldr about her and the prompts.

tldr: lee harin’s got a privileged life back in seoul—a prima ballerina in the making—until her father suddenly got arrested for fraud and embezzlement, causing the whole family to go bankrupt. her mother decided to reach out to an estranged relative in yuseong bay and that’s how she ended up here.

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay?

she came to yuseong bay with her mother two weeks after her father got arrested, which is roughly around mid february 2024. her mother decided to reach out to an estranged relative (her older sister) who stays in the town and once she agreed about having them over, her mother wasted no time and insisted that harin came along. she didn’t like the idea of moving into a small town at first, even more when she heard that she would be staying at her aunt’s house. but then again, what choice does she have anyways? if anything she’s glad her aunt is kind enough to help them out amidst the tragedy—not that she’d ever admit it out loud though.

what does an average day look like for your muse?

harin spends most of her day doing nothing. it’s not like there’s much to do around yuseong anyways, but really, what else is she supposed to do here? her mother doesn’t seem to care about her loitering around most of the time, nor her aunt (with the exception of her cousin, who often insists that harin must help out around the house since she doesn’t even work or care to get a job), so she takes it as a sign that it’s okay to just exist and do whatever she wants to do. after all it’s not harin’s fault she still gets the princess treatment even when she’s no longer deemed as one.

where can your muse usually be found?

as someone who lived in the city, obviously she’s more drawn to hanhwa resort more than anything else in the town. it’s the only place that reminds her of seoul in a way, of a life she’s forced to leave behind after shit went down with her family. harin is often seen hanging around the resort—she does get mistaken as a tourist every now and then, usually by another tourist, and sometimes she’d play along and hang out with them if she likes them enough. harin also frequents 88& bar and would likely pop up out of nowhere if there’s any town get-togethers or events. since she has too much time on her hands, she’s kinda all over the place too.

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort?

having arrived in town a little before the resort’s official opening, harin finds it interesting that a small town like this has such an exquisite resort. it’s the first thing that caught her eyes when she first came here, although she’s quick to learn from her aunt that some of the locals aren’t too happy with it. as an outsider, she thinks it’s a great addition to the town.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay?

if harin was to be honest, she doesn’t want to stay another second in this godforsaken town. on the other hand, life in yuseong bay isn’t as bad as she thought it would be. sure, this fucking town bores her sometimes, but harin’s got everything she needs right here—a place to stay, somebody that looks after her (re: puts up with her princess behavior), her mother. plus she doesn’t even need to work, courtesy of her aunt thinking that a guest should never be made to work as long as they are under her care. for now harin’s comfortable with how she’s living, but there’s always a part of her that longs for the once busy, fast-paced life she had in seoul.

she’s a mix of baek harin (pyramid game) and lee doona (doona!), hence her name lee harin if it’s not that obvious yet… a little bit of lee eunyoo (sweet home) and han mone (the escape of the seven) too.

she’s very distrustful of people around her, so it would be nice if she learns to let people in and make some real friends instead of just using them for her personal gain. she also needs to learn to let things go! sure, it hasn’t been that long since she left seoul, but harin couldn’t seem to move on from her past, somehow still hung up on the idea of what ifs or what could have beens. it’d be nice if she doesn’t dwell too much on the past and start living in the moment—shit already happened anyways, it’s not like she could turn back time and change it or something, am i right?

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay? Chaeyoung arrived a year ago from the capital with nothing more than a broken heart and a baby on the way, a small bag with her clothes and barely enough money to find a place to stay. a runaway looking for a place to belong, for a place to raise her kid, a place to call home...and now a year later she can proudly say she did. yuseong bay became her home when her own gave her the back.

what does an average day look like for your muse? Her days always start early, between tending to her son and preparing to work it is safe to say that mornings are chaotic in the small home, but somehow it always works. she then leaves her son with the older woman who welcomed into her own home not so long ago to. "It's good to have company" the elder always assured her each morning, grateful for something to do, loving the kid as a grandchild of her own before shooing Chaeyoung away. Goodbyes always last long so she has to rush to the bus station and to the Hanhwa Resort where she works as a receptionist. A perfect smile and welcoming aura until the time to go home comes. With tired steps she picks her baby up and makes their way back home, filled with laughter and babbles that soon will be words. It is hard, but oh so perfect.

where can your muse usually be found? Chaeyoung is easily found at the andante cafe, be it on her way to work or on her way back home, needing an extra pump of sugar to make it through the day. Aside from it, she is more of a homebody, enjoying the simple life in the small apartment with her son or in the park nearby.

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort? Grateful, that is the first word that comes to mind to Chaeyoung when thinking about the resort as it is the place that puts a roof over her head and feeds her baby.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay? Yuseong bay has slowly become a home for Chaeyoung and from what she has seen she hopes it will be a permanent home for Jisung, her kid. So, she dreams of affording a better place, bigger, to home the family she build here.

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome. search / find peace. She is still too hurt by the ghosts of her past and the fire of anger has yet to fade, she is in search for a home while still thinking bitterly of the word. Chaeyoung has a lot to unpack before reaching that destination but one day maybe she will finally open once again to the world and not just one or two people around her.

🐇 B I O G R A P H Y.

Born with a silver spoon, Chaeyoung is the only daughter and was the heir to the Moon Empire. Ever since she was a baby whatever she wanted she got without even having to ask for it, as a child her room had been filled with toys and during her teenage years her closet had been filled with brand names only. It was a dream life for many, yet in exchange of all those luxuries she was expected to be the best, another thing for her parents to boast about, and she played her part really well.

She became interested in ballet at a young age and it became her whole world. Her eyes sparkled and her mother was more than happy to sign her up in a prestigious academy for it. Chaeyoung dived into that world while keeping her academics as top of her classes, sleepless nights with private tutors came and went but it was worth it in her eyes as she got to compete in the Asian Grand Prix and other competitions earning the attetion of the Korean National Ballet. She was doing wonderful in this new place slowly rising ranks until she became the first dancer, the prima ballerina of the National Ballet and that is when her dreams came crashing down.

She was pregnant.

And she was on her own, the father of the baby was gone and so were her supportive parents who claimed she was a shame to the family once they found out. With nothing more than what she could carry on her bags, Chaeyoung left that life behind moving to Daegu to start again, just her baby and her.

...1 year later.

Chaeyoung pregnancy ran smoothly thanks to a neighbor that took care of her and treated her as if she was her own daughter, the caring mother she never had. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy Jisung who is now almost 1. Even if she struggles with her work, her home is always filled with love.

🐇 P E R S O N A L I T Y.

The Chaeyoung of today is very different from the one during her teen years. The girl who never had to work for anything is now working any job she can, learning new things that can be done at home so she can work while staying close to her baby. long gone is the childish chaeyoung replaced by one driven by love, one that never gives up. her fingers are pricked from her work as a seamstress for the theater but she takes pride in them. A bit emotional detached, takes long to earn her trust and for her to open up, keeps new people at arm's length afraid they would leave her again.
