articles and news on what’s happening in west papua are so appallingly scarce that i could rarely find any except a few before this. as an indonesian, i didn’t even know any of this is happening in the first place until a few months ago because rarely any of the big news outlets have ever brought it up, much less in a scale that is necessary to gain the world’s attention. SO PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT, one article at a time if it seems too much (which is what i'm currently doing too).

i think it’s important to note that while indonesia has been loudly advocating for palestine’s freedom, it has also been committing silent acts of violence against the people of west papua and exploiting them for years and silence those AND others who have tried to bring it to light.

I can't believe that this 1906 stately home in Monticello, Arkansas is $488K. I would buy it so fast, b/c it's FULL of whimsy and fun. Look at the roof and architecture blending Queen Anne, Neoclassical, and Gothic elements. It has 4bds & 3ba.

This home has been featured on 5 TV shows and was the setting for a 2016 feature film. Several books have chapters featuring the house; it is the model for the house in the 1966 novel The Scent of Lilacs; and it is the sole subject of a bestselling nonfiction book published in 2012. Books and memorabilia are on display in the entry hall.

In the main sitting room off the hall, carousel horses prance, while fancy hot air balloons float above.

Across the hall is a deep green bedroom.

There's a family room with stick walls and whimsical decor off the kitchen.

The kitchen also has stick walls and is painted in deep purple and gray. Look at the antique original sink in the corner.

There's also an original cupboard.

An ornate original ceiling has a painted medallion.

Lovely library with a corner desk, seating area and some antique toys.

An original corner fireplace at the junction where 3 rooms meet.

This upper level hall has a balcony and the room looks just like the center hall of a southern dog trot house with shiplap walls.

This is amazing- there's a little deli in the hall.

The "Eat Here" arrow sign directs you into this retro kitchen.

What a lovely home office.

Next to the office is a safari themed room. How convenient to have your home office and bedroom together.

A bright red bath is reminiscent of New Orleans style.

And, this is the playroom.

What a wonderful hallway. I feel like I'm in a fairytale.

TOP 10 TV SHOW FANDOMS ON AO3 BASED ON NUMBER OF FANWORKS (2009-2022)

To make these bar chart race, all series titles in the TV Show Category on November 29 (or the closest date to it) of every year were copy-pasted from Wayback Machine to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, and then inputted to Flourish to turn into a bar chart race.

Locked fanworks aren't included in the count because Wayback Machine can’t view those, only Ao3 users can.

Unspecified means that it doesn’t say in its title whether it is an “All Media Type” type tag or not. There’s a possibility that this tag only shows up in the TV Show category, or maybe in multiple categories, like in Movies and Comics too.

It doesn’t appear in the bar chart race, but for some reason Original Work was in the TV Show category in November 2021, and then removed by 2022.

The Avengers (Marvel) - All Media Types was actually in the top 10 from 2012-2014, and was removed from the TV show category from 2015 onwards so I’ve excluded it from the bar chart.

The Avengers - Ambiguous Fandom was also in the top 10 from 2012-2020, but then was reduced to 5% of its 2020 total fanworks in 2021 onwards because The Avengers (Marvel) - All Media Types and The Avengers (Marvel Movies) was removed from its subtag list. I’m excluding it from the bar chart since it means it shouldn’t have been in the top 10 in the first place.

Jossverse was in the top 10 from 2010-2014 (Top 2 in 2010 and 2011). In 2018, it was removed from the TV Show fandom list and works tagged with it show up in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV) instead so I’ve excluded it from the bar chart.

89% of the Sherlock Holmes & Related Fandoms fanworks in 2022 are tagged with Sherlock (TV).

Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is a subtag of Marvel and Marvel is a metatag for all Marvel works of various media, including comics and movies. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (TV)��is the only TV show that appears in the top 10 fandoms listed in Marvel and MCU’s fandom filter in 2022, and it’s only 5% of the fanworks in the Marvel tag. Half of the Marvel tags’s top 10 fandom filter list are movies, and there are also 2 All Media Types tags.

As for DCU, 6 of the top 10 fandoms listed in DCU’s fandom filter in 2022 are specifically TV shows: 13% of its fanworks are from Supergirl (TV 2015), 9% are from The Flash (TV 2014), 8% are from Arrow (TV 2012), 5% are from DC's Legends of Tomorrow (TV), 4% are from Smallville and 4% are from Gotham (TV).

As for Batman - All Media Types, none of the top 10 fandoms listed in its fandom filter in 2022 are specifically TV shows: 5 of the fandoms listed were comics fandoms. 2 were all media types and 1 was the Nolan movies.

Maybe it would have been better to do a bar chart with fandoms that only appear in a single category (In this case, the TV Show category.). Some of the fandoms that ranked have popular other media outside of TV Shows that boosted their rankings. It would take more effort to filter out, but let me know if you’re interested in seeing a bar chart race like this. If there’s enough interest, I might get motivated enough to work on it, haha.

Basket Case will be released on 4K Ultra HD on April 30 via Arrow Video. Sara Deck designed the cover art for the 1982 horror film; the original poster is on the reverse side.

Frank Henenlotter (Frankenhooker, Brain Damage) writes and directs. Kevin Van Hentenryck, Terri Susan Smith, and Beverly Bonner star.

The anonymous hacker who’d been helping Oliver Queen in his mission had first contacted him seven months ago, though “contacted” hardly felt like the right term. He’d arrived at the foundry and booted up his computer one night only to find the entire system had been upgraded, and simple text document saved to the desktop:

She certainly had a way with words, and in their months together she’d often surprised him with her uncannily insightful observations. Before he realized it, she had come to haunt his thoughts. Who was she, in her normal life?

He was resigned to never knowing. His life was his mission, and there was no room for anything else. Or so he told himself.

Please note that the numbers for Oliver Queen/Kara Danvers/Kara Zor-El might not be entirely correct.

The reason for that is that I made the chart before noticing that Oliver Queen/Kara Danvers and Oliver Queen/Kara Zor-El were made synonyms within the Arrow (TV 2012) and Supergirl (TV 2015) fandom but not in all other fandoms (comics, The Flash (TV)). Instead Oliver Queen/Kara Zor-El and Oliver Queen/Kara Starikova were made synonyms for the comic fandoms, Superman - All Media Types and (again?) the TV Show Arrow (2012).... I found it quite confusing because I don't know much about the Arrowverse in general (clearly). Unfortunately I accidentally deleted the excel table the charts were based on (haaaaah...) and I cannot be bothered to do it all over again.

In short: The hits you see for Oliver Queen/Kara Zoe-El/Kara Danvers are most likely related to the Arrow TV show (2012) and the TV show Supergirl (2015) only (if I understood the way the tagging for this ship is done on Ao3 correctly).

I assume no guarantee or liability for the completeness, correctness and accuracy of this chart despite my best efforts.

Includes fanfictions in all languages available, NOT English only. Includes all fandoms on Ao3 connected to Oliver Queen from DCU.

i try very hard not to care about actors but i am lowkey fascinated with the career of emily bett rickards

like she's in a nickelback music video in 2009 then doesn't do anything until 2012 where she's cast as a "possible recurring role" in the new show Arrow. Her performance as Felicity Smoak in s1e3 & chemistry with the lead actor is so strong & compelling that essentially the entirety of the Arrowverse gets reshaped.

she gains several award nominations for this role and is a fan favorite until she leaves at the end of the 7th season of Arrow (effectively signaling the end of the show well ahead of its actual finale). between arrow, the flash, legends of tomorrow, vixen, & supergirl, she is in over 180 episodes of television as Felicity Smoak. she has never been in a regular tv show as anyone else

she is in one movie that is nominated for an oscar and does a couple of low budget short & indie films where she is probably the most well know actor involved and grabs a few more nominations, but no real recognition. she plays the lead in an extremely weird & creepy play that has an off-Broadway run.

idk if she's just particular about her projects or if the casting directors are sleeping on her but it's so interesting to me
