I don't think so if i will find anyone here who is learning or reading about stock market...but i am currently reading a book by Sir Peter Lynch and sharing some simple points i found out...
Here are some pointers from this section:
β’ Understand the nature of the companies you own and the specific reasons for
holding the stock. (βIt is really going up!β doesnβt count.)
β’ By putting your stocks into categories youβll have a better idea of what to
expect from them.
β’ Big companies have small moves, small companies have big moves.
β’ Consider the size of a company if you expect it to profit from a specific
product.
β’ Look for small companies that are already profitable and have proven that their
concept can be replicated.
β’ Be suspicious of companies with growth rates of 50 to 100 percent a year.
β’ Avoid hot stocks in hot industries.
β’ Distrust diversifications, which usually turn out to be diworseifications.
β’ Long shots almost never pay off.
β’ Itβs better to miss the first move in a stock and wait to see if a companyβs plans
are working out.
β’ People get incredibly valuable fundamental information from their jobs that
may not reach the professionals for months or even years.
β’ Separate all stock tips from the tipper, even if the tipper is very smart, very
rich, and his or her last tip went up.
β’ Some stock tips, especially from an expert in the field, may turn out to be
quite valuable. However, people in the paper industry normally give out tips on drug stocks, and people in the health care field never run out of tips on the
coming takeovers in the paper industry.
β’ Invest in simple companies that appear dull, mundane, out of favor, and
havenβt caught the fancy of Wall Street.
β’ Moderately fast growers (20 to 25 percent) in nongrowth industries are ideal
investments.
β’ Look for companies with niches.
β’ When purchasing depressed stocks in troubled companies, seek out the ones
with the superior financial positions and avoid the ones with loads of bank
debt.
β’ Companies that have no debt canβt go bankrupt.
β’ Managerial ability may be important, but itβs quite difficult to assess. Base your
purchases on the companyβs prospects, not on the presidentβs resume or
speaking ability.
β’ A lot of money can be made when a troubled company turns around.
β’ Carefully consider the price-earnings ratio. If the stock is grossly overpriced,
even if everything else goes right, you wonβt make any money.
β’ Find a story line to follow as a way of monitoring a companyβs progress.
β’ Look for companies that consistently buy back their own shares.
β’ Study the dividend record of a company over the years and also how its
earnings have fared in past recessions.
β’ Look for companies with little or no institutional ownership.
β’ All else being equal, favor companies in which management has a significant
personal investment over companies run by people that benefit only from
their salaries.
β’ Insider buying is a positive sign, especially when several individuals are buying
at once.
β’ Devote at least an hour a week to investment research. Adding up your
dividends and figuring out your gains and losses doesnβt count.
β’ Be patient. Watched stock never boils.
β’ Buying stocks based on stated book value alone is dangerous and illusory. Itβs
real value that counts.
β’ When in doubt, tune in later.
β’ Invest at least as much time and effort in choosing a new stock as you would in
oh goodness an introductory post has been long overdue! hello there my name is frills and this is my blog dedicated to minecraft diaries. i love alot of the characters but my favorites are definitely garroth, aphmau, dante, and michi they're just so <3
respectfully, please dni if you post primarily nsfw or proship/comship content. no shaming here i'd simply like to not engage in that kind of material. however, if you're a terf then jump off of a cliff <3
um, i'm not trying to be a diva or anything, but when it comes to asks, as a rule of thumb i'd prefer if they were centered on me. there are many blogs that will gladly listen to you discuss your ideas, but i personally find it quite uncomfortable to receive multiple anons that are only interested in talking about themselves and using me as their audience. i get stressed out very very very easily replying to asks so please don't send me something i can't actually respond to.
"Ever since I was a child, my mother tried to get me to be like her. The extroverted, ever-perfect, can never do the wrong persona. Unfortunately for her, Iβm not an extrovert. Iβm sure I couldβve been, but having my feeling shot down and invalidated so often growing up, I learned that it was better to be introverted. As long as I kept to myself, stayed in one place, and did what I was told, I stayed out of trouble. I wasnβt praised for staying out of trouble, but that was okay. It was better than spending over an hour listening to her yell at me for the minor mistakes that I had made throughout the day.
Having moved away from my dad, my only escape from her overbearing upbringing was going to my friend's house every weekend. I was allowed to be with my friends as long as my chores from the entire week were done, and I had homework completed.
Dear Dad talks about what my at-home life was like when my dad couldnβt be around. The only time I got to see him was during summer break.
Any time I could get away from my mom, it eased my stress a little bit. Being a teenager with unmedicated ADHD was difficult enough."
Repcomm anon again... I have officially decided that tumblr's problems with Kal'buir are just because of fandom's collective daddy issues. They hate every vaguely father-shaped character who isn't an obvious DILF or more perfectly wholesome than Father Christmas. If they put Kal in live action and made him hot, my bet is that fandom would be singing a very different tune. And it's not just Star Wars fans either - every fandom I've ever been in decides that the not-hot dads are problematic, neglectful, emotionally abusive, and probably physically abusive, no matter what the source material actually says. It's rather tiresome, if you ask me.
Anyway, Kal is the best and I love him
!!! thank you!!!!!! it IS it is tiresome!!!!!! oh my heck i -
repcomm anon you have taken the words directly out of my mouth. at least it isn't just this fandom that has daddy issues, that a relief in a way (though also kind of worrying if i'm honest), but oh my goodness i just - i may as well stop blogging right now, you've said all there is to say on the matter and you're so right
i dont have comprehensive thoughts to say to the lovely individual people who saw me post that so i drew this meme hoping it conveys the feelings because i dont know how else to put down my words
