like. i love you so much, i love that you can talk and dance and love and create and be, and it horrifies me that your life could be stolen away. death is pretty but i can't stand knowing that one day you could die and you'd never have a thought again, you'd never smile again, that i wouldn't see you on the bus, at the store, at the park..
we don't have to hug, or talk, or do anything, but i like knowing that we could. i like knowing you're alive and you're there. that feeling is so much more than all the bitterness in my day to day. sobbing and crying.
the fact nuclear bombs are allowed to exist at all makes me furious down to my core. the fact any kind of chemical warfare exists makes me so fucking pissed. the fact that weapons are a thing people are okay with turning on one another makes me so so mad. im mad that institutions and radical groups have the capacity to convince others violence is okay.
none of this should be normal. we were made to hold hands with the people we love and let the people we hate go. but we live in a world full of danger, and for what? what do we gain from our vigilance and our victimisation of one another? i want to connect with you. we shouldn't be on opposing sides. why do we let people tell us how far apart we are when you're right here with me?
