Majestic Oppositions: Redesigns

Yeet!! Take these redesigns of Sun and Moon in Majestic Oppositions (MO) because the ones I did last year was not thought out properly and I was just running on draft ideas lmao

Anyway now that I'm writing a full series fic for MO, I decided to create more fitting designs to the story (more specifically in relation to Chapter 1). I've yet to redesign Y/N and their outfits though!

OKAY mortarion time ….i forgot this was the book with purple prose and i had to go back in terror to make sure I didn't accidentally buy a McNeill novel again i did not, this is thankfully (?) someone else

I'm trying to figure out what about this pushes it into "Wow Edgy" rather than being genuinely compelling well actually this isn't too bad, to be honest, it's really the next bit which is that the population of ynyx (and WHAT a name) doesn't have mouths "the cold ember of his familiar, obdurate resentment" I feel like I'm being unfair to the book by feeling bathos instead of pathos but i think it's that everything is so over the top

wait what year was this written Mortarion is literally breathing in the chemicals 2019 I'm now going to suffer from the belief that the writer of this was listening to Radioactive (due to this plus some other things) and now I've got it stuck in my head

i want to take this seriously but i just can't, I'm sorry no one understands meeeeeeeee owo uncomfortable memory surfaces

i will say this, the prose is quite evocative

ok so mort has a giant chip on his shoulder and is an enormous misanthrope but just about every single person who has ever been in a position of authority over him DOES just use him as a tool

boy did he choose the wrong side of the war

tumblr has poisoned my mind regarding "the horrors" so it feels like "every day mortarion gets emails" mortarion: hm maybe i should get rid of the daemon and also all the stuff i used to summon him and go back to normal warfare

oh lovely like wow the only reason mortarion's alive is that he's a primarch the abuse is kind of getting to ridiculous angst-fic levels and yet the way it's written is genuinely compelling? probably because he's not actually a normal human so it is survivable and not ridiculous but it is kind of walking on that line thrown to starving dogs when he was a toddler like

annnnd also Necare experimented on him with poison what next did necare give him a dog and then kill the dog in front of him we're starting to get into bathos here

The book is tap dancing on the line which is to be honest, making me sad i really want this to be good :/

if it's going to go all the way into goofy, i want it to go all the way so i can mock it if it's going to be half hard hitting and half goofy it feels like im pulling back to punch a small child this book also unfortunately has some kind of subplot on earth with a bunch of rando characters and also, unfortunately, Garro

oh this is i guess foreshadowing for what's going to happen to the death guard? so garro's friend got hit by an evil knife and unlike guilliman he did not have plot armour

so garro is working with a bunch of other dudes who defected from the traitor legions secretly working for malcador oh, and a psyker ultramarine

oh wait psyker ultramarine met garro on calth??? what??? how did he get to calth and back what is a timeline (i should be fair and stop banging on about this since i have not actually read the relevant books. at least I assume this has to be covered in a book I didn't read)

typhon: this lifeboat is full of leeches just trust me typhon: throws it overboard

back in the past, Mort successfully rescues the spunky teens but his dad is coming so he tells them to get out while they can and then has his disney princess song realization that it's time to stand up for himself and he'd do it all again! and face his dad! and dieeeee okay the last bit isn't disney princess …ah

ah mort: wait, that's an option??? rip his hair is getting in his eyes i hate when that happens

i meant to upload this at the latest by december 31st, but the thing is when i saw the tag i was a little overwhelmed at first bc i didn't know how to fill it out and then once i had it all written out i had a super hard time deciding on what to gif and then it all ended up taking soooo much longer than planned. and now it's already 2024. oops. well, better late then never...

Jean woke up oddly refreshed and energized, ready to fight a dozens hilicurls all alone. Which was odd, considering how bad her sleep was when she fell asleep on her table in her office.

Surprisingly, the sun was just about to rise and Jean decided to do a short exercise to start the day. Something she hadn't done a long time. She left a note for her knights and went her way out of Mondstadt, ready for patrol. Getting a small snack from Sara, she made her way out of the city. Oddly enough, she also went to Katherine and asked for commissions. She was really in a good mood, so she didn't question her own decision too much. And the commissions would pose as a good morning exercise.

As soon she was over the bridge, she started jogging, slowly increasing her pace until she was running. After dismantling three hilichurl camps, she only needed to defeat a bunch of cryo slimes. Her anemo seemed stronger than usual and even her trusted blade finished the enemies much quicker off than usual. Yet she didn't pause to think too much about it and continued her way.

She left for the last commission, the sun already up and if she had to guess the time, it was around 9am. Jean knew she had to finish up quickly and so she started running again, to the Dawn Winery.

Jean saw the big cryo slime from afar and sped up again, as an explosion disrupted the calm scenery. Oh no, she only thought.

"Klee?! I know you're here, why are you not in- oh dear", she only sighed. Klee came running from the Dawn Winery, leaving a trial of bombs after her. Hilichurls and even a mitachurl ran after her, only to get blown up as soon they came too near to the bombs and getting thrown in all directions. They all died with pitiful whimpers and choked screams.

"KLEE!" Klee came to a skidding halt right before her and looked at her with big eyes.

"Jean! Uhm- Klee was just visiting Mister in the big house there-" Jean just crossed her arms, staring down at the little pyromaniac.

"Klee, please- no excuses today. I need to wrap a commission and then we'll go back immediatly. No discussions." Klee mumbled something akin to a yes and followed after her.

Jean summoned her sword and infused it with anemo, rushing towards the group of cyro slimes. In the background, Klee shouted her support, as she threw two of the slimes towards the lake. But she understaminated her own power and the slimes flew much farther than she actually planned.

"WOO- LET'S GO JEAN, YEET THIS BITCHES!" What, she could only think and then there was suddenly something- someone controlling her, using her body to defeat the slimes.

"Hmm, maybe she can throw them even further when I give her Aquila Favonia? But Bennett is using it right now- okay, let's do this."

Jean watched with wide eyes how her Favonius Sword vanished and was replaced by another blade while she still stood surrounded by slimes. Once again her weapon was infused with anemo energy and the slimes flew again in the lake- she didn't think it was possible but it was further than before.

Oh Barbatos- no, this was not Barbatos' blessing, this was a blessing of someone different. Yet this blessing also seemed to have a sacrifice, her control of her own body. But who was she to refuse?

Idol - Anyone but you ~ Jeon Jungkook - TEASER

‎₊˚‧૮⍝◠ ·̫ ◠⍝ა ·˚₊ ♡ hi everyone, nice to meet you!I’m a “Swan” a new writer on tumblr and I decided to give fic writing a try again! I haven’t done it for a good few years so please be kind to me!!! I’m so excited to introduce my first new series on here called “Idol” There will be a focus on each series for each member so don’t worry if you wanted one for your bias. For example;

“Idol - Anyone but you” will be focused on Jeon Jungkook

“Idol - Midnights in Paris” will be focused on Kim Taehyung

“Idol - Are you falling in love yet?” will be focused on Park Jimin

“Idol - Dirty dancing” will be focused on Jung Hoseok (J-hope)

“Idol - If we ever meet again” will be focused on Min Yoongi (Suga)

“Idol - Unspoken thoughts” will be focused on Kim Namjoon (RM)

and finally, “Idol - Under the moonlight” will be focused on Kim Seokjin (Jin)

Please do not worry about having to go through reading them in order to avoid missing out on pieces!!! There will be some references to certain things or parts but won’t be of any importance and I will just have it re-written as a flashback :) Yes it will be focused on one character but will be “Y/N” throughout the entire series however, whatever happens at the end of one fic does not exist in another member’s fic. For example, if they fell in love, there would not be any existence of that in another member’s series.

Now it’s time to introduce what the personality of “Y/N” the Idol is like and backstory before we get into it!

Idol will have the pronouns she/her (sorry I hope that’s ok!)

Y/N also considered as the western music industry’s “it girl” rapidly on the rise, collecting awards left and right for her extremely hardworking talent. Known for her insane duality on stage for being intimidating yet sensual, and we’re not talking about any sexual dances as she prefers to give off the sex symbol aura without doing much effort. Loves to mock male artists and banters about their actions. Obsessed with hip hop dancing or anything that makes her challenge the stereotypes of being a female artist, especially to prove a point against the issues of poc artists being over sexualised. Very much a bisexual woman of colour or can imagine her how you would like (if you’re homophobic or a misogynist or racist, then this fic definitely is NOT for you lmao oops) Always in relaxed clothing as her artist image. Fans are very funny and feisty and loyal, everyone is in love (and I mean hella heart eyes) with her because they are captivated by her duality and powerful aura. Think “the Park Jimin effect” but as a female. Offstage, towards strangers she is very introverted. Does not talk a lot, people are drawn to her thinking she is mysterious, intimidating and a bad bitch when in reality she’s just socially awkward lmao. Once off stage and off cameras, that confidence yeets itself out somewhere else. However if she’s with someone or people she is comfortable around, she is completely normal, feisty and banters a lot. Sometimes will either hate affection or seem cold (when her social battery drains) towards friends or be very affectionate and energetic to them, no in between. Around her fans, she is always very soft and humorous, sassy and extremely affectionate/loving and caring towards them. Is an Army! Have been for a good 5 years and Jungkook was actually the one to have first discovered her from BTS when she was just starting out as an artist. Guess you could say it was love at first sight and he became obsessed with watching her everyday vlogs, music videos, shows, first one to listen to her music as soon as it comes out and much more. Let’s just say he is as obsessed as how army is with BTS towards her at this point. It stemmed from his love for army, he thought it was just going to be a situation where he would be proud of seeing an army take inspiration from BTS and apply it to their life/career and then move on but of course, keep it in his heart. Nope, ever since he proudly praised her and posted one of her first songs on his instagram story, he had been hooked on her work ever since. It went from checking up monthly if he had the free time to, weekly to everyday regardless of if he had free time or not. Since then, he was refused by staff to acknowledge her again publicly before it caused trouble and stirred up any dating rumours. Sometimes it didn’t stop him from adding a harmless “like” on a few of her music posts especially if it was BTS related or her fans updating her chart data and achievements. Or his favourite time was to watch her live videos on instagram where only she could see if he has joined or not. They had met once in person at an awards show and it didn’t go well since Jungkook had became too shy to talk, that doesn’t stop them from speaking online all the time though and from being friends privately. Warnings: swearing, fuckboy!Jk, jungkook is a player but so is Y/N lol, Angst, Fluff, Smut 18+ in future chapters, minors do not interact! what's a story premise you've had lurking in your head but haven't done anything with yet?

BROO Houses With Teeth has lived rent free in my mind for FOUR YEARS and I still haven't done anything with it! I was actually hoping to start it back in January but hadn't finished Seventh Virtue, but now I've pivoted to Body Back! Houses With Teeth is adult literary fiction.

Moth Work ended up distracting me from it way back in 2019, and when I finished that in 2020, I was supposed to write HWT, but it scared me so much that I wrote Feeding Habits instead LMAO and that book took me two years to finish! And I was working on SV at that same time too, so it's just been pushed and pushed and pushed.

In a way, it's a good thing, because that project has had HUGE development as I've changed as a writer. Originally, it was supposed to be the *canon* seventh book of the Fostered series, which would've been so weird. Reeve lived in NYC with her boyfriend because she ends up yeeting from the OG squad at the end of book six. Lonan who's been looking for her (since they're siblings) ends up calling to fill an ad to be their roommate. His plan is to bring Harrison too, and there's this dialogue I had planned LMAO:

R: What about Harrison? L: He’s coming too. R: It’s an ad for a couch, Lonan. you can’t both stay on our couch.

oh yes they can ;)

Anyway, so I ended up getting distracted with MW, so by the time I revisited the project, I needed to replot it because I didn't really want Lonan & Harrison involved (LOL). I think Reeve had believed her apartment was haunted at one point and a big plot was her trying to rid it of a ghost with help from Foster who was apparently a ghostbuster (but make it literary)?

That then changed in 2020 when I decided Reeve would NOT be living in the NYC apartment, but in a house with Foster outside the city. When she moves to that town, she learns she looks a lot like a whole bunch of girls who've gone missing in the area. That THEN changed into still having the Foster house plot, but I added a sinkhole that ate Foster's friend the day Reeve moves in (so the town then is sus of her). I wrote the first 2k or so of that version, and there's a segment where the whollle squad that's now in SV (so Harrison & Lonan & Darren) all go to this town for Foster's friend's funeral. I stopped writing when I hit this point because mingling the "literary" book with the "genre" book wasn't working. Very uncomfy.

At that point I just quit the project LOL. It was only in 2022 that I revisited the project and really chilled out with it. I was used to appropriating bits of the Fostered-verse and not sticking to canon, so that idea of deleting Lonan & Harrison from HWT, for example, really didn't bother me (byyeeee). Also, most importantly, I'd started to explore the central relationship between Reeve and Joel (her boyfriend) in lots of Seventh Virtue scenes. I was even writing scenes I'd planned for the very first iteration of HWT into SV (one of those scenes has even turned into a new short story called "Holiday").

So the new plan is the old plan: I went back to the *very* original idea where Reeve lives in an apartment with her boyfriend in NYC. THAT is the story that always interested me and that I've been dying to tell. In the fictive present, Reeve isn't at the apartment, but will spend a lot of time there in flashbacks. It's really going to be a quiet novel about Reeve after she flees an abusive relationship & tries to dispose of the persona she's become. I want to write it in vignettes without any names (so just "She" and "He"), which I managed in "Holiday."

At this point, I have no idea when this book will be written LOL since it just doesn't seem to want to be written! Or maybe I've just been avoiding it for four years & in that span have written 300k+ of other Fostered content, LMAO.

So I've done a lot with this idea technically, but it hasn't panned out much! I think I've written the first 2k of the *actual* book (finally), which I'm really happy with! I'm happy it actually ended up being a roundabout goose chase to this final (original) idea. I needed to write MW and FH in between because then I wouldn't have SV which actually let me explore this relationship relatively safely. Everything happens for a reason!

Songs of The Unbroken: obv. #1. It's my 77 Chapter, Completed Finan x OC fic that follows along with the plot of TLK from S2 - S5 ft my baby OC: Sigrid Kjartansdottir. The older half sister of our favorite rat lemon boy, Citrus - I mean Sihtric. If you like all of the angst and 3 years of really stupid people pining over each other this is the fic for you. Working on the sequel currently: Children of the Unbroken!

Lost Voices: this is my current baby!!! A Sihtric x OC fic about a girl named Rosaline Blaine who accidentally gets yeeted through time with nothing but her iPod. Friends to lovers, full of music references, may be an actual comedy idk this fic writes itself lmao

The For My Sisters Series: this is actually two separate fics (and one I have yet to finish because I am a clown) but these fics are about my OC Sigrid and my friends OCs, Lucinda (@emilyhufflepufftlk ), Saegyth (@lauwrite1225) and Cwen (@solinarimoon ) who here are sisters who've traveled to England from Frankia to find peace with their father, Frode. Fic one is Valhalla May Find Me and fic two is My Heart Will Mend. The third will come out.... Eventually 🤡

Finally Woken: A short 10 Chapter fic about, you guessed it, Finan and my OC: Sigrid, but with a modern twist. This is a story of how they fell in love, except told backwards. Also with a tone of music references. And two idiots pining. You see I have my thing.

so. alice in borderland season 2. i have a lot of thoughts. spoilers ahead, obviously.

so to start off, i’m coming from the perspective of someone who read the second half of the manga and a few extra bits - so i know i am missing some of the characterization, but not all of the characterization. that said, while i like the inclusion of new games unique to the show, i’m not really wild about them cutting dodo’s inclusion in the plot to make it work - i think the dodo-heya-agni storyline serves a bit more than throwing arisu briefly in dodo’s spot (though i do love that they just fucking yeeted arisu off a cliff, that was fun lmao). but yeah, they showed heya’s seven of spades game, they could just have easily shown dodo in four of hearts.

or even better yet? give us a second season that’s starts in with the first few episodes being introductions to the newer characters and how they ended up in the borderland: give heya the full episode to be introduced in seven of spades, an episode for dodo to show off four of hearts, maybe let chishiya play six of diamonds and do his backstory there, and then start into the festivities for four episodes. Then, for funsies, since saori’s already dead and we don’t need to do much with her character, let banda do two of hearts in saori’s place, and then end season 2 with banda walking up the stairs to the penitentiary, so they have more basis to alternate narrators (or just pull chishiya out entirely as it is in the manga) for jack of hearts. why am i so insistent on taking more time instead of less? BECAUSE GOD DAMN THAT KUINA-ANN MONTAGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT LEAST TWO EPISODES OF “KICKASS LESBIANS: THE SERIES (ALSO ARISU IS SOMETIMES IN THE BACKGROUND)” seriously they put so much into such a short time that i WISH they would have let their relationship flourish more meaningfully, and explain the games they played together a bit - even if they’re original games, it’s fun to see more happening and more thought put into the universe!

with those thoughts out of the way - there were some absolute fucking knockout games this time. the fact that they got fucking YAMAPI to be kyuma literally dropped my jaw in disbelief, and he did a fantastic job carrying it. king of diamonds was similarly absolutely fucking NAILED in the emotion of the performance - two very logical and calculating characters having subdued, but incredibly emotional moments as they play the game. queen of hearts? chills down my spine - it’s such a hard game to translate from the manga, but the choices they made really were fantastic. also mira is gaslight gatekeep girlboss and i love that for her. jack of hearts was an interesting choice to bring in chishiya, but i think it was smart to keep a character involved to keep us interested in the action based on the cast we already know and love.

king of spades sort of fell in the middle for me. as referenced for the entire first half of the post here i’m not really happy that they excluded dodo, but man they handled the rest of the main crew so well through the finale of it. not only allowing his inclusion be a believable driver for a lot of the relationships (kuina and ann, heya and agni,) showing off just *how much* power shirabi has - the fact that a 5 v 1 confrontation ends with 1 dead and 4 wounded, and even a concentrated explosion leaves him still clinging to life. but for all the work they put into showing how strong he is, it felt like they rushed through his backstory too quickly, and his death doesn’t feel as impactful as the manga.

speaking of rushed through! queen of spades. i know this was a show original but damn they really just sorta. rushed in a whole bunch of plot that didn’t really make sense, then threw us into the game, gave us the rousing speech, and then fun cool shot of risa getting nailed midair by the laser. i think with more time for the plot setup this would have been more meaningful, but i already belabored that above as well.

overall? solid fucking season despite my qualms, and i'm hoping we get a prequel/retry/border road series in the future, cause damn the joker on the table ain’t quite the same as joker in the manga lmao

4-Do you plan to utilize things from S5 in the AU? Maybe from S6 too when it releases?

5-What is the character you think you'll enjoy writing the most?

1. I'm definitely giving her more exposure and moments to build up Gabriel and his motivation + she will be more important in the finale quite a bit, but she will be mentioned quite a lot in Agreste-oriented episodes (The Bubbler, Gorizilla,...)

2. I have... No idea what that is I haven't gotten to that part in my rewatch yet LMAO I'll try to remember to mention it when I get to it, but If you mean the alliance rings, they're getting yeeted out the window

3. In Tikki and Plagg's case, It was Fu's intention to give them to them permanently or at least until the Monarch's defeat. In others, they're chosen as helpers or temporary heroes so they're not given that much of a choice. Then again, as I said it "soulmate" thing is going on so perhaps they are just fated to meet and cooperate :)

4. HA no I highly doubt it. I will likely be taking a single moment from the leaks, but other than that I'm just going to ignore s5's existence.

Also I'm just. Genuinely stopping with watching after Gabriel stops being the villain 🙈 Im not about to get attached to another braindead "boo hoo my wife is dead" bbg

5. Oh LILA and Adrien for sure. Monarch too likely For Lila, I love villanous characters and I already look like a maniac connecting the pieces from certain episodes to make her actions make sense in terms of trickery of others, but for Adrien. Oh Adrien, my sweet summer child. His connection to the series' main villain has to be explored in depth. Plus.. I may or may not have given him a little inner conflict and I just can't wait to explore it.

according to gbvs both djeeta and gran are from different universes! same plot and everything, tho tbh can really remember who the "true" protag is tho (as it really matter lmao)...think gbvs implied jeeta was mobile game while gran was solely gbvs. any gbf character can hc that either jeeta or gran is their true captain though, i don't mind!

singularity is the best nickname, lol in all seriousness there arent too many nicknames that characters call gran at all. ig percival calls gran his vassal but in game he always just calls him captain and siete calls gran captain-chan...literally nothing special LMAO

main story gbf makes me go so incredibly insane and im caught up w all of it, the recent update really tore my heart out i was actually upset w it. so no they havent defeated the big bad yet (implied to be captains father), it's still very much ongoing but cygames decided that we will get maybe 2 chapters a year (im suffering)
