“Please! Stop it, Namjoon. P-please!”
You were screaming as tears were falling down your face, willing the tall man in front of you to listen. But it seemed like you had already lost him to the darkness. You looked at your side and met Hoseok’s cold eyes, but even he seemed to have lost his own sun. He looked at you without any emotion. It was apparent that he wouldn’t help you.
“Jin? Please, please. Please stop him, hmm? Please help,” you begged him with tearful eyes, clutching the front of his shirt. If anyone had any chance to stop Namjoon, it was Seokjin. But the tall and beautiful man only looked down at your hands clutching his shirt with indifference before meeting your desperate eyes. He slowly shook his head, merely content on watching the scene unfold in front of him.
“He deserves it, my queen,” he softly said, his eyes brimming with hatred.
You were shaking your head even before he finished, “He doesn’t! He was only helping me. It wasn’t his fault-“
“He dared take you away from us,” a quiet voice sounded from your side. Yoongi was nonchalantly leaning against the wall, his stance relaxed. But it didn’t fool you. His shoulders were tensed as he let Namjoon unleashed hell. Lazily, he shifted his eyes to you. “No one can take you away from us.”
Not even you.
You flinched when you heard the man screaming from extreme pain. You looked behind you to see the golden maknae crying in Taehyung’s arms. The man had his arm around Jungkook’s shaking shoulders in comfort, yet his cold, dark eyes remained on you.
“Look what you did to Jungkook, noona,” his deep voice resounded over the screams of the man. “You made our maknae cry. That’s not nice, is it?”
“T-Taehyung. Please. Please help me stop this madness. Pl-“
“No, that’s not nice,” he continued as though he didn’t hear you, answering his own question as though all the screaming didn’t bother him. “You thought you could leave us. That man poisoned your mind, my queen. We need to teach him a lesson, right, Kookie?”
The crying man suddenly looked up, his red eyes focused on you. His lips were shaking as he looked at the love of their lives. You.
“H-he needs to learn, hyung. He needs to be punished. He took her away from us!”
You flinched from the sudden volume of his voice. You knew he wouldn’t help. No one could. When it came to you, their minds were closed off. To them, it was you or no one at all. To them, you were all that mattered in this world.
And their love was suffocating. Didn’t they know you left because of them? Because you couldn’t love the people they became? That you never loved them like they wanted to in the first place?
That you loved them, but never in that way.
“It wasn’t his fault! I begged him to help me leave-“
“No. You would never willingly leave us, our queen. That’s not even a possibility,” Namjoon suddenly joined the conversation as though he wasn’t torturing an actual human. You didn’t even look at him.
He was the worst of them all.
“It’s fine, noona,” Jimin suddenly said, touching your stiff shoulder softly before leaning down to look at you. “It’ll be over soon and we can all go home, okay? Just wait a little longer, okay?”
Namjoon might be the worst of them all, but Jimin was the one who refused to even entertain the thought of you not loving them. He was the most dangerous with his angelic smile and innocent form. No one would even think of the way his mind was filled with dark thoughts. And even now, he was smiling so sweetly at you.
“Our queen is tired,” Namjoon shook his head in regret before slowly lifting the gun to the man. “I shall end this now.”
No. No no no no.
And before you knew it, you were running to the man. You weren’t thinking. All you wanted was for this madness to stop, for this hell to vanish. All of a sudden, there were silence. Or maybe, it wasn’t silence but everyone’s shock. Your tears fell as you felt the piercing shot of pain in your chest.
And then you fell to the ground.
And the last thing you saw was Namjoon and the others kneeling beside your dying body. They were crying. They were screaming. You felt the warm blood seeping out of you in rapid succession. You knew this was the end.
Good, you thought. Finally you could escape them.
The last thing you saw was Namjoon’s handsome face looking down at you with tears in his eyes.
The last thing you felt were their tears as they fell to your skin.
The last thing you thought was that you never had to see them again.
The first thing you saw when you opened your eyes were seven men leaning down to look at your laid out form. You blinked slowly, your eyes focused on the man closest to you who was looking at you with overwhelming worry and love.
Kim Namjoon.
And then memories came rushing back to you. He killed you. They all had a hand to it.
They killed you, but he was the one who pulled the trigger.
And before you knew it, you were screaming as you attempted to scoot farther from them. The huge and comfortable bed made it possible to distance yourself from the confused men, all of who were waiting for you to wake up.
“M-my queen,” Namjoon called for you, confusion apparent in his face. “What’s wrong?”
You turned to look at all of them, your eyes shifting from their nervous forms. Didn’t you die? Did they save you just in time? Did you fail to escape them?
But then, you really looked at them and this time, you noticed the traditional clothing they were all wearing. You noticed the room you were in. You looked down and noticed that you, too, were wearing a traditional clothing.
“Noona-“
“Don’t come near me!” You warned Jimin as he called you, his eyes weary and nervous. They all jumped from your anxious words and the way you delivered it. What the fuck was happening? Was this a dream?
You needed to leave.
You needed to leave or else you would really faint, You got off the bed, never turning your back on the equally confused men. Slowly, you inched to the door, warning them with your eyes not to follow you when you heard the door sliding.
“My daughter! You’re awake!”
You turned to look at the man-only to see your father smiling at you. And he too was wearing a Korean traditional clothes.
“F-father?” Your brows furrowed as you took him in. His hair was in a dignified braid, his beard long similar to the old times. He looked as though he was a rich man from the ancient times.
Was your mind playing tricks on you? Was this your own personal hell? Were the men confusing you even further?
You felt your father’s arms surrounded you as he took you in. You never thought you would be able to hug him again, never thought that you would see him again.
“I am so glad you’re awake now, little one.”
The thing was, your father died when you were seven. So who was this man?
You turned to look at the men behind you. And this time, they didn’t have the darkness gleaming in their eyes. No. This time, they looked at you without any hint of obsessiveness in their eyes. They looked at you as though they weren’t in love with you. All of them…except Kim Namjoon.
And you just knew, they weren’t the same people you escape from.
Holy shit, who were they?
Where were you?

✿𝑷𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈: OT7 x Plus Size! Reader
✿ 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚: "What was so outrageous about someone like you, you asked yourself and the universe. You had tried your best to compensate for any shortcomings with everything else that was expected of you: femininity, understanding, a sense of humor. Never enough, those were never even the first thing that came to mind when people thought of you.
Why bother then? If nothing you did made any difference at all, why try? If people hated your body just for existing, why not give them a reason to hate your personality as well?"
OR
The one where seven campus princes who are used to getting everything they wanted get enchanted by your distrust and brattiness, climbing over each other to get a smile from you who could not be bothered to give them a single second of your day.
✿ 𝑻𝒂𝒈𝒔:  Romance, Humor, Fluff, Angst, College AU
✿ 𝑨/𝑵: I wanna leave this here as sort of a trigger warning: this work features a plus size main character and throughout the story there will be mean comments from characters about her body and her journey dealing with said comments. A lot of it comes from my own experience as a plus size girl myself and my path to living peacefully within my body. And although this work is about Y/N's relationship with the boys, I like to think that she still would've continued to grow and blossom happily on her own. Let this be something you learn from this fic, as I say right on the first chapter: You don't have to love the way you look right away, you just can't let it stop you from doing the things you want and, in a greater scale, from being happy and treated with respect.
Thank you for reading <3
P.S: Red daisies, like many red flowers, represent love and romance. Florists often use them to communicate affection to someone who doesn’t know how beautiful they are—a.k.a. beauty unknown to the possessor.

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞: 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭
The pattern in your relationships - if you could call them that - was tiring, to say the least. Once, they might have been soul crushing, but time and repetition took away the novelty of your pain and now the endgame was a mild, resented disappointment.
It started with kindness and a gentle smile, mainly from your part. You treated anyone who gave you any smidgen of attention with the utmost sweetness, hoping your energy would be matched. And sometimes it was, for a while. Sometimes you got to be on the receiving end of a blinding smile or a casual touch and you allowed yourself to hope - no, pray -that that could be it. That someone, some modern day knight in shiny armor , saw through your looks and decided that you were deserving of love, despite societal norms,
But men had a way of setting you up for disappointment. A talent, truly.
You were tired, you decided that night. No, beyond that, you were exhausted, scarred, bitter, hopeless, resentful… You could keep going. You could list every bad feeling you had been carrying in your chest by alphabetical order or by how badly they hurt and honestly you just wanted it to stop.
Would you have to change everything about your body to be happy, you wondered watching the boy you had been seeing for a few weeks make fun of you in front of his circle of friends at the party you were both at. Would you never be allowed to be happy just the way you were?
Would you have to change everything about your body to be happy?
“Yeah, she’s nice” Junsuu said, winking suggestively at his giggling friends “if you know what I mean.” you felt your face heat up in humiliation at the renewed round of laughter “But we just don’t match, like, physically. You know, looks-wise.”
“Right” someone agreed way too enthusiastically, sending a spear through your heart “I really just can’t see you with someone like her.”
What was so outrageous about someone like you, you asked yourself and the universe. You had tried your best to compensate for any shortcomings with everything else that was expected of you: femininity, understanding, a sense of humor. Never enough, those were never even the first thing that came to mind when people thought of you.
Why bother then? If nothing you did made any difference at all, why try? If people hated your body just for existing, why not give them a reason to hate your personality as well?
“You’re right” you said out loud, drawing attention to yourself. Filled with hatred (for him, the world, the circumstances), your heart had no room to be mortified when all eyes turned to you “we don’t match.”
You watched as Junsuu’s eyes widened, clearly not expecting you to hear, much less reply “I am a big girl” you continued, words dripping with rage “And I know for a fact that there’s nothing big about you.”
You turned around to leave the room, cringing at the petty comeback, ignoring the murmurs and Junsuu’s panicked calls of your name. Walking fast, you fled the scene of the last heartbreak you would allow yourself to go through, deciding that a change was needed, but not the change everyone wanted from  you.
Despite the rumors, you didn’t turn into a huge bitch overnight, didn’t start kicking puppies or spitting on the poor. Truly, the only thing you did was establish boundaries and reevaluate the amount of respect some people deserved, but very quickly people started seeing you as some sort of villain, especially when they realized how little you cared for how they saw you. How disrespectful of you to not allow yourself to be disrespected, right?
At first, there was still an air of uncertainty about you - years and years of non-reciprocal niceties drilled into your brain, habits hard to quit. But the more you let go of those things, these tiny acts of self-aggression disguised as pleasantries and altruism, the lighter you felt; Your days became easier to get through, existing within your body felt less and less like a punishment. You had yet to reach an Instagram-worthy level of body positivity, but you had become accustomed to body neutrality. You didn’t have to love the way you looked right away, you just couldn’t let it stop you from doing the things you wanted and, in a greater scale, from being happy and treated with respect.
And respect you started to demand and much happier you became, living in relative peace and solitude - safe by a few close friends - up until your days started being pestered by seven headaches you could not seem to shake away.
—-
Jungkook was the one that saw you first.
It was 3 weeks into the semester and he finally decided it was the perfect time to start going to classes, sitting in the back and only listening to about 25% of what was being said, mind floating towards more important subjects such as the package of ramen waiting for him at home. Only mildly interested in what the professor had to teach, he couldn’t help but to be startled when everyone started getting up from their seats to shuffle around the room. “What’s going on?” he asked the guy sitting next to him.
“Professor gave us a duo assignment.” the other man said, standing up “You're with Y/N.”
“Who?”
The guy just pointed towards you with his chin, redirecting Jungkook’s attention before leaving. You were sitting a couple rows further down, hunched over your little green IPad as you wrote something with impressive velocity. Jungkook walked over to you, already mentally going over what he would have to do to charm you into doing everything on your own “Y/N?” he called and you raised your head.
You were pretty, he noticed with satisfaction, all bright eyes and lovely features, curves everywhere he looked “Yes?”
“I’m Jungkook.” he extended his hand with a casual smirk “The professor put us together for this project.”
There had been a small, but pleasant and polite smile on your face up until he said those words, replaced by pursed lips and an arched brow. “Yes, I know. We’ve had classes together for over a year now and been partnered together before.”
Uh oh. “Right” he coughed awkwardly, fumbling under your hardened stare “so, about this project…”
“We will meet once a week,” you said, straightforward as you turned your eyes back to your sticker-filled IPad “I will go over the theme and split the work evenly, so give me your number and I can text you with what you’re supposed to do.”
“Woah, woah, asking for my number already?” he said in a flirting manner, sitting on top of your table so he could be directly in front of you.
“Would you prefer it if I emailed it to you?” you asked without looking up.
“Actually, I was thinking you could help me out a bit,” he placed his finger under your chin, raising your face towards him “you know I have soccer practice and…”
You pushed his hand away “Unless you’re playing at the World Cup, I can’t see how that would be more important than your studies, so you either do your part of the assignment or get an F in it, I don’t care. I won’t do all the work for you, Jeon. Not again.”
Again? Jungkook winced, trying to remember when you had met before. Surely he would remember getting his head bitten off by a snappy, pretty thing like you, wouldn’t he? Surely your attitude would stand out to him amongst all the sweetness and compliance he received just for existing and smiling.
“Here’s my number.” you gave him a piece of paper with your digits written in gel sparkly ink “Text me when you decide if you want to pass this class. Good day.”
You looked down again, going back to your notes, signing that the conversation was over before he even had the chance to add anything more. He jumped off the desk and stepped away, looking back to see if you were looking at him, but there wasn’t a single glance from your part.
Shit. Shit. He actually did have to pass this class, otherwise his overbearing soccer coach would kick him off the team. He stared down at your number, wondering what he would have to do to get you to cut him a little slack and forgive him for absolutely forgetting about your existence.
“Hey, this is Jungkook” the text from an unknown number said “looking forward to us working together. We should get dinner sometime, get to know each other better.”
You read over the text once more, willing your heart to slow down its beating. Sure, Jungkook was charming and handsome, but you had seen this dance before. He would talk his way into your good graces, making you laugh and giggle until you had a four thousand word essay done with both your names in it and your texts to him would go unanswered and unseen.
This was not your first hurtful rodeo. You put your phone away, facing down, ignoring as the poor device vibrated itself off the table with the upcoming texts.
Meanwhile, across campus, Jungkook was fuming.
“Or breakfast. We should get breakfast. I know a great place.” he tried once again, but his message was left unread. Still, he persisted.
“I have a lot of great ideas for this assignment. Don’t you want to know them?” he texted, even though he didn’t have the faintest idea on what the assignment was even about.
“You know, it’s rude to leave a guy hanging.”
“How can we do this if you won’t even text me back?”
“I thought we were in this together.”
“You know, like High School Musical.”
He kept typing out absurdity after absurdity, hoping you would dignify one with an answer. He just needed one opportunity, one opening…
His text stopped going through.
“She blocked me!” he gasped out loud.
“Who?” his roommate, Taehyung asked from where he laid on their couch, feet up on the coffee table.
“This girl in my class. We have this project together and she blocked me!”
Taehyung sent a disbelieving look his way “Were you actually planning to do the work?”
“Don’t be ridiculous. Obviously not.”
His friend rolled his eyes “Obviously not. So what’s your plan here?”
Jungkook didn’t answer, too busy looking for alternative ways to contact you. After a few minutes of research, he found your Instagram. You were cute, he noticed again, scrolling through your few posts, all relatively recent. You had a very specific style, a tasteful mix or dark and edgy with splashes of pink and bows, tight corsets under leather jackets that he couldn’t help but stare appreciatively, the flattering material clinging to your waist line and pushing your breasts up, exposing the soft freckled top of cleavage to his always hungry eyes. In your pictures, your eyes shone brightly, crinkling at the sides from your ever present smile and he could not understand why you hadn’t directed one of those to him.
It was unsettling, to say the least, but he could not allow his annoyance to take over. He needed your help if he wanted to pass that class and if he had to use unconventional ways to get your attention, he would.
And so, much like a little boy pulling at a girl’s braids, he started liking and spamming the comments of every single post you had.
There were whispers all around you, your worst nightmare.
You were at the school library, getting work done while drinking from your fourth cup of coffee, hands shaking due to caffeine and anxiety, your ever present friends. You tried to focus on your books and carefully written notes, but every word you could barely hear and every look you felt over your shoulder seemed to dig claws into your skin. You knew what they were saying. You heard it all the way from your dorm to your classes and couldn’t seem to escape them.
“Did you see Jungkook’s comments on her pictures? What’s that about?”
“It’s not like there’s a lot to comment, is there?”
“Maybe he thought it was someone else?”
“It’s probably a prank.”
“I bet he was hacked.”
Of course, why else would someone like Jungkook - a campus prince, popular soccer player, heartthrob - show interest in you?
It hurt, but a small part of you still agreed with those mean spirited whispers. You closed your eyes, trying to even your breathing and will those thoughts away. You knew better, had learned better than to measure your value by how interested some boy was in you.
When you opened your eyes again, Jungkook was in front of you.
You barely had time to process his presence when the voices picked up volume, your skin prickling and eyes aching to remain dry.
“What’s Jungkook doing with Fat Y/N?”
That word shouldn’t be as hurtful as it was - after all, it was just an adjective, just the current state of your body that served only to carry your thinking mind, your feeling heart. But people always said it like a curse, wielding it like a sword.
You closed your eyes again and when you opened once more, Jungkook was still there. Looking furious.
“What are they saying?”
“What they always said” you shrugged, avoiding his eyes by looking down at your papers.
Jungkook didn’t move for a while, hearing people pretend to whisper around you but it was clear that the motherfuckers wanted you to hear. Was it always like this for you, he wondered, watching as you focused on whatever book you had in front of you, hunched over with tense shoulders, your face a far cry from the luminescent one he saw on your Instagram, not a hint of that smile he wanted directed at him so unreasonably.
He couldn’t just stand there and watch you struggle to keep your posture.
You felt him standing up and leaving more than you saw him. Good, you thought. He should leave, like everyone did, scared away by that one word that followed you around like a brand. He was probably embarrassed to be seen with you, you assumed bitterly, and there was no place in your life for people who didn’t want you proudly by your side…
Jungkook sat back in the chair in front of you and you couldn’t help but gape at the impressive bouquet of red daisies he extended towards you.
“Take it” he said, but you couldn’t move, could barely hear the furious voices around you over the roaring beat of your heart.
You… You had never gotten flowers.
“Take it” he repeated “I almost got run over because of this, the least you can do is accept it.”
“Jungkook” you whispered, dumbfoundedly accepting the bouquet “what’s this?”
“People keep doubting I could be interested in you” he said and there was an edge to his tone you did not expect “maybe this could help clear up some rumors.”
“This is not your battle to fight” you held the flowers close to your chest carefully, looking up at him with distrust, unable to understand his motives “I’m used to this sort of thing and I don’t care about those stupid rumors.”
You were used to it? That just made Jungkook angrier. How could you be used to that sort of treatment?
Jungkook was a lot of things - spoiled, a little lazy, sometimes a dick. But he wasn’t a bigot and he wasn’t about to stand around and let you become used to being disrespected if there was something - anything! - he could do about it “I like picking up fights”.
“Is this just pity?” you asked and he could see walls around you that stood thousands of feet tall “Is this because of that stupid assignment? Because I’m not going to do all the work just because you got me some flowers…”
He raised his hands and smiled at you “Don’t worry, sweetheart, I’ll do my work” he said, a new goal in mind as he saw you recoil from him with eyes filled with wariness like a suspicious kitten “You said once a week, right? How’s friday for you?”
You still clung to your bouquet like a lifeline “That works, I guess.”
“Great!” he clapped loudly, standing up and catching the eye of those around him “I’ll see you around, sweetheart.”
“Don’t call me sweetheart” you mumbled, but he pretended not to hear as he crossed the table around to your side, quickly leaving a kiss to your heated cheek before you had the chance to react.
“Alright, sweetheart, I’ll see you around” he said, making sure everyone in the library could hear him “do me a favor and unblock me, ok?”
You flipped him off, both for stealing a kiss and that stupid nickname, but he just laughed it off.
“That’s my girl” he said and the library erupted in renewed whispers.

Chapter 1 & Chapter 2
Tumblr media
You didn’t wake up until five in the afternoon. With your messed up body clock because of work, it wasn’t rare that you slept in so late, and with how exhausted you were when you went to bed, you could have slept for another eight hours.
But the hunger woke you up, and the events of this morning kept you up.
As you moved around your small kitchen on autopilot to fix up a quick lunch, your mind was swirling with the latest occurrences. So werewolves were a thing. Sure. Supernatural beings actually existed outside of Reddit forums and tumblr pages. Okay.
Maybe all of the caffeine you’ve been consuming all your life had finally caught up to you and messed up your brain chemistry. You should be terrified, packing up your little belongings and running back to your parents home; the only place you knew to be 100% safe.
Your small town girl views of the world had just been stretched so far out you could barely see the limits anymore.
And yet, you felt at peace.
As if that new knowledge had been inside you all of this time, dormant. And then someone reminded you of it, and you accepted it.
It didn’t mean you didn’t have questions, of course, you had a ton of those.
Which is why you had your phone in one hand, typing up your queries, as the other hand brought the cup noodles to your lips for a sip.
Seokjin is the eldest… Does that mean he’s the leader?
Do packs have a hierarchy?
How much do they behave like real wolves? I mean, they are real wolves, I suppose…
Can they only turn during the full moon?
Have they watched Twilight?
Mind reading?
You regarded that theory for a while. Now that you thought about it, there had been times where you could swear they were having a silent conversation you couldn’t hear.
“Oh, shit.”
You really hoped they couldn’t read just anybody’s minds, since that would be a little embarrassing for you. You could definitely say your own thoughts weren’t pure and innocent every time they were near you.
But you were only human after all –quite literally, at this point– and you had a good pair of working eyes and you could admire and recognize beauty when you saw it. Especially so when it came in the form of tall, strong, gorgeous men.
Wolf. Wolf men?
You almost tipped the cup noodles when the phone in your hand started buzzing. Part of you really wished it was Hoseok texting you to check in on you, just so you could speak to one of them again. And he did have your number now that you had called him to get help for Jungkook.
But the flashing name of your friend on the screen brought a disappointing pang to your stomach.
Kimee: Heyyyyy. Won’t you come over before your shift? I miss you!
You: You miss gossiping 😂
Kimee: Yeah, with YOU!
You: Well you might as well come over after your shift, I'm not opening the shop today. I'm way too tired, so I'm calling in sick.
Kimee: Ohhhh those boys you always talk about finally giving you the nice kind of trouble? 🤤
You: 🥴 I wish
Kimee was your oldest friend in Seoul. You had met her as soon as you made it to the big city, when the first job you landed was as a cashier at a 7Eleven not too far from your current apartment. The girl still worked there to this day, moving up the corporate ladder and managing the place.
She was the only one you could actually talk to about boys and stuff like that, the one you turned to for girly nights with white wine and on sale chocolate. So Kimee had definitely heard about the seven men that plagued your thoughts late at night and early morning.
Only there was no way you could tell her about your latest findings, you doubted she’d take it as well as you had.
Tumblr media
Jungkook had been doing alright. His leg was completely healed, not even a scratch or a blemish was left on his skin. But he still moped around, still pretended to be too traumatized and upset. Just so his hyungs would dot after him. It didn’t work that well with the older ones of the pack, except maybe Hobi hyung who brought him a juice glass an hour ago.
Jiminie and Taehyungie were a little easier to persuade to do as he wished, which is how he convinced both of them to play a horror game on his computer. He was the one actually playing it, but Jimin was giving him tips as his character of the indie game walked around.
Taehyung was the one ignoring the game, as he laid on the maknae’s bed.
“This isn’t fair.” the second youngest scowled from behind the other two.
“I know it’s not, but you’re not the only one missing out on Yn time.” Jimin told him with a look over his shoulder, sympathetic to an extent.
“It’s been three days, hyung.” Tae groaned, hugging a pillow to his chest.
“Come play with us to distract yourself.” Jungkook invited.
But Taehyung didn’t want to play, especially not a game that had the potential to keep him up all night. And it was easy for Jungkook to be so calm, he had been with you four days ago, could probably still feel the buzzing from being near you, still smell you on his skin.
It was Taehyung’s turn next. He should be walking into Moonlight right now. If only Namjoon hadn’t grounded them. Maybe ‘grounded’ wasn’t the best expression, since they weren’t exactly forbidden to leave the house. But they weren’t allowed to go see you either, so what was even the point of going out in the first place?
Jungkook had been attacked by a Southside Clan member, near the coffee shop you worked at. The pack knew it was a warning, the maknae hadn’t been hurt enough for it to be considered a major threat, but it was still a clear sign that they couldn’t keep coming closer to their border and expect no retaliation.
It was also dark out, and the wolf came out of nowhere, so Jungkook couldn’t really identify who it was, or which pack he belonged to. All they knew is that they needed to be careful. So Namjoon had asked them for time and patience so they could come up with a plan, figure out what they should do moving forward.
But it was taking too damn long.
“I miss her.” Taehyung sighed dramatically, like a wounded puppy.
“I miss her too.” at the constant mention of you, Jimin couldn’t focus on the computer screen anymore. “Do you think she thinks we’re not coming back anymore?”
Taehyung let out an even louder cry. “Well, now I do! Thanks for that!”
Jungkook turned around in his gaming chair, a concerned pout on his own lips. He was never the best at following orders to the tee, especially if he didn’t agree with them. So he had a plan of sneaking out of the house tonight and going to see you despite his leader’s orders. Jungkook was keeping quiet about it, the more people knew, the bigger were the chances of him getting caught.
But the dejected looks on his best friends’ faces started to bug him too.
“What if we just–”
Jungkook’s words were interrupted as the loud banging on his closed door made the three youngest wolves jump.
“Pack meeting.” Hoseok’s voice called from the hallway. “Come down.”
As the maknaes made it to the living room on the first floor, the four oldest were already there.
Yoongi was biting the nail bed of his thumb, having a somewhat idea of what the leader wanted to talk about, Hoseok could not sit down, Seokjin was standing up near the window, as Namjoon stared at the dancing flames in the electric fireplace.
The leader didn’t want to let it show too much, but he was nervous for this meeting. Beside the usual stress that seemed to constantly follow them around lately, he had come to a decision he knew wouldn’t be taken lightly by his members. He wasn’t happy about it either, but his pack’s safety and his own principles had to come first.
They had priorities much more pressing than the feelings he himself harbored for you.
We’re all here. Hoseok was letting him know, as if he couldn’t sense the doubled anxiety in the room.
Namjoon turned around to regard his pack. It wasn’t easy to be the leader of a regular pack, even harder when all members were hot headed alphas who knew what they wanted; and what they wanted right now was you.
Bangtan had its highs and lows, just like any other pack, but they had been together for a very long time, they learned to respect each other and respect Namjoon’s authority and decisions. He hoped the same would happen tonight.
“Pack your bags, we’re leaving tomorrow.”
As soon as the words left Namjoon’s mouth, a cacophony of complaints filled the otherwise quiet living room. Jungkook was by far the loudest, as the others still showed some kind of respect to his rank.
“Guys, please–”
“I’m not leaving just like that!” the maknae whined.
“Me neither!” Jimin would go with anything Jungkook decided.
“Yeah, no way.” Taehyung was always right behind them.
“Okay, let's all take a step back, let Namjoonah talk.”
Hoseok wasn’t so happy about it either, but maybe Namjoon meant they would leave for the weekend, do a job nearby, be back on monday. No need for stress.
“We’re going to Dalju, and this isn’t open for discussion.” the leader told the pack, with a strong voice that left no space for protests. “It’s just for a little while, until things calm down.”
“Is this because of Yn?” Yoongi was the one voicing everybody else’s thoughts. “Because she’s human and she found out about us?”
“She didn’t find out about us, you told her.” Namjoon snapped. “Which you know goes against what we stand for.”
“She’s hardly the first human to ever find out about our kind, don’t you think this is overreacting?”
“She’s still the first one we ever told.” the leader pushed.
“She won’t tell anyone.” Jungkook added.
He probably should stay out of this, it was his fault you had found out, even if by accident. But Jungkook couldn’t just stand there and put his head down and follow the orders he didn’t agree with.
“This is about principles. We’re fighting with the Southside because they want humans to know about us, and what do we do? We let a human know about us.”
Bzzzzzzz. Bzzzzzzz.
“We are fighting with the southside because they are hurting people.” Seokjin corrected.
The eldest was the one who went to Namjoon first, all those years ago. He would always blindly follow his footsteps, believing his friend to have the integrity and the heart to do good and to always choose what was right for the pack. If Namjoon believed that going to Dalju right now was the best option, he would follow.
But he wouldn’t let Namjoon compare them to the Southside just for what had happened a few days ago.
Bzzzzzzz. Bzzzzzzz.
“This was fated to end in disaster anyway.” the leader pressed his temples. “It could never work, for any of us. Might as well walk away from her now.”
“That’s not fucking fair, you don’t get to decide that!”  Jungkook was standing up, a low growl rumbling from his chest.
Hoseok moved a little closer to the maknae, hoping to ease the situation. If Jungkook kept pushing, Namjoon could take him as a threat and things could get ugly. Both men were used to butting heads, their personalities were similar that way. But they had never hurt each other.
And then again, they had never fought about a romantic interest before.
Bzzzzzzz. Bzzzzzzz.
“So we’re just gonna run away? Let the South advance and take over more territory because we won’t be here to defend it?” Yoongi hinted, a hand nervously threading through his blonde locks.
“I already talked to our neighboring packs, they’ll take over for a–”
Bzzzzzzz. Bzzzzzzz. Bzzzzzzz. Bzzzzzzz.
“For fucks sake, Hoseok! Turn that fucking thing off!”
The alpha voice was something Namjoon refused to use on his members, for it took away their free will. But sometimes, during heated situations like this, it still slipped. Hoseok looked nothing short of disappointed as he pulled his phone from his pocket and turned it off without even looking at the screen.
Tumblr media
You weren’t stupid. You might not have a university degree with your name on it, nor did you graduate school with honors. But you weren't dumb. And you could definitely take a hint.
For the last three months and a half, the seven men had visited Moonlight regularly and you knew the coffee you served wasn't that good.
And then suddenly you find out about their deepest secret and they stop showing up altogether? Something was up.
But then again, you spent over two decades of your life thinking werewolves were nothing but Hollywood tropes and scary stories to tell in the dark. Their existence was clearly not out in the open. So, maybe, you finding out about them meant they couldn't see you anymore.
If that was the case, you'd respect it. You'd think one of them would have the decency to give you a heads up, instead of ghosting you, but you'd respect it. You were a big girl.
Even if it felt like something was constantly missing in your life now that they were gone.
That last thought made you laugh. You never used to be this dramatic. And suffering for men? Not like you at all.
You carried on with your night as normal, giving up hope yet again. You served a few patrons, almost kicked out a couple that was quite literally trying to fuck on one of the booths, tried out a new hot chocolate recipe you had bookmarked to make for Taehyung at some point.
But it tasted as bitter as your mood.
A shadow passing by the glass of the front door caught your attention, taking it away from the crossword puzzle you were almost done with. You didn’t see anything at first, the outside was pitch black; a great contrast to the lit up inside of the coffee shop. You had to squint a great deal, but then you saw it.
Two glowing orbs, red as blood, watching you from across the street.
For half a second you got excited, thinking it was Jungkook again, or one of your wolf friends. But the shiver running up your spine was anything but friendly. And as quick as they showed up, the eyes were gone.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck.”
You were whispering under your breath as you picked up your phone with trembling hands. What if that wolf was the one who attacked Jungkook the other night? What if he was back for more trouble? With shaky fingers you shot a text to the only wolf you had the number of:
To Hoseok: Hey… So, just to check, are you, or any of the other guys, by any chance, coming to Moonlight tonight?
As soon as you pressed send you cursed yourself. Great way to sound needy and clingy. Last time –the only time– you called him, it had taken the man a while to answer, so you didn’t expect an answer right away.
You kept looking outside, trying to see anything in the dark.
“Everything okay?” you were so weirded out that a patron sitting by the window had to ask if something was up.
“Yeah, of course!” you regarded him with your best customer service smile.
You didn’t want him to leave right now, you’d be an easier prey if you were alone. So you served him an extra cup of whatever-the-fuck he was drinking and took the chance to get a little closer to the glass door to spy on the outside.
It definitely could not be any of the seven men you knew. You could just about see two wolves standing in the corner of the street, eyes not leaving Moonlight for a second. But unlike Jungkook, whose fur was lustrous and silky, despite the cut on his leg and the dirt from the outside; these two wolves had probably seen better days.
Both looked matted, even from a distance, and skinny.
As you walked back to the counter, you shot Hoseok another text:
To Hoseok: I think the ones who attacked Jungkook are here. Am I in trouble?
But the man hadn’t answered your first text, you doubted he would see the second one. Granted, it was pretty late at night, and since they weren’t coming in to see you anymore, you guessed they could sleep at normal hours now.
You had found his number by chance, when you were looking for the many papers left by patrons that took part in a raffle you had last month. So you went through the small cardboard box again, frantically trying to read any familiar names on the papers.
But you found no Jimin, Seokjin, not even a Namjoon.
As the costumer started getting up to leave, you got a little more desperate and typed out yet another message:
To Hoseok: I really think I’m in trouble and I have no idea what to do, and I don’t know who to call for help, so. Please answer.
You stared at your phone, willing any wolf god out there to hear your prayers and turn the little check mark at the corner of your phone into ‘read’. It was a mistake, since it meant you didn’t see the patron leaving Moonlight, much less the two men that walked into the shop as soon as you were alone.
“Good evening, pretty thing.” the seedy way the man talked to you made you take a step back instinctively.
It was the same man from a few nights ago, your usually drunk neighbor. And of course his friend was right behind him, always by the door, on lookout.
“No friends tonight, huh?” he took another step. “Kim Namjoon should be more careful with his playthings.”
“Sir, I’m gonna have to ask you to leave–”
“Now now, little girl. We are all friends here.” the man took a deep breath, inhaling the air, and you could swear his eyes rolled to the back of his head. “You belong to us, you belong to the South. You should be playing with us instead.”
You couldn’t text, not without taking your eyes off the man and any distraction could get you in even more trouble than you already were. Hoping you’d find the right button, your finger mindlessly tapped the screen, until the very faint buzzing let you know a call was being made.
“Hang up that phone, little girl.”
“Namjoon!” you gasped as you pointed to the glass door.
The man was stupid enough to fall for your bluff, which gave you enough time to run into the kitchen and lock the big heavy door behind you. You doubted it would be enough to hold the man, and if your suspicion was correct, it posed even less of a barrier for two wolves.
You pulled as many things as you could to block the door; tables, extra chairs, heavy pans. All the while you could hear growling from the other side and what sounded a lot like fabric ripping. In a last attempt to take cover, you locked yourself inside the employee bathroom.
Hoseok’s phone was going straight to voicemail now, and you had no one else to call. You could try the police, but it was late, and you were in Seoul. No one would believe you were being attacked by two wolves in the first place.
The noise outside doubled in volume as the minutes passed, as the sketchy werewolves did their absolute best to get to you. You guessed that being that skinny meant they didn’t have as much strength as a healthy wolf would.
You could hear the tumbling of pans and the scraping of wood on the floor, knowing they were closer. The loud scratching on the door made you want to scream, but you covered your mouth and closed your eyes shut.
Hoping for a miracle, you waited for the door to be pulled open sooner or later. The hinges were shaking and the knob was turning frantically. Your eyes were beaming with unshed tears, body shaking as you tried to hide behind the sink, making yourself as small as possible.
New growls could be heard on the outside, as the banging on the door completely stopped. More things were being dropped all around, what sounded like heavy bodies being thrown, whimpers and grunts.
And then everything got quiet. So quiet in fact, your own breathing sounded way too loud, your beating heart was deafening. So much so you barely heard the soft call of your name.
"It's okay… It's us." the voice called for you again.
"Go away!" you cried out. "You won't trick me!"
"Do you like hot chocolate?"
It was the soft voice of Taehyung repeating the first words you said to him that made you look up. You took deep breaths, forcing your heart to calm down, letting your body tell you it was safe to trust.
"Tae?" you were up on your feet, unlocking the door to spy through a crack. "Oh, thank god!"
You threw yourself into the tall man with the fluffy dark hair, never feeling so relieved in your life to see the mischievous man.
I knew I should have been the one to get her to come out. Jungkook grumbled to Jimin, who watched you holding onto his best friend like a life jacket in the middle of a turbulent ocean.
“It’s okay, little one.” Taehyung held you just as hard. “They are gone.”
“Did– did they die?”
You tried looking around, but Jimin blocked your vision. He didn’t want you to see the state the kitchen was, much less the rest of the coffee shop. The fight had been heated, the Southside wolves put up a good one. But they were no match for three alphas.
“No, the cowers ran away.” the blond man told you, soft small fingers caressing your cheek as you leaned into his touch. “We’ll get you home now, okay?”
“No, I can’t– they–” you were shaking your head, pure fear oozing from your body and masking your sweet natural scent.
“They live in her building.” Jungkook explained to the hyungs.
He had been to your apartment building a few times before, walking you home after a shift when it was his turn to visit you. And Jungkook had smelled the two wolves there, making the final connection tonight.
“We’ll take you somewhere else, okay? Where it’s safe.” Tae assured you.
And you nodded, knowing that, as long as you were with them you’d be safe.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Pairing: BTS OT7 x Reader Genre: Fantasy, eventual smut, porn with plot, slow burn, hurt/comfort Characters: Supernatural!BTS, Vampire!Jungkook, Supernatural!Reader Content Warning: Y/N in danger Word Count: 3.6k
Jungkook’s vision went white and he felt the air pulled out of his lungs as in a flash, he was again in the hospital room, Namjoon hovered worryingly over your body. He looked up as you arrived, obvious relief relaxing his features as his eyes landed on Baba Yena.
“Baba Yena,” Namjoon greeted with a bow. “I was only able to do a cursory search, but her kind isn’t listed or documented in any infernal records I was able to get my hands on.”
“Of course, because she is not from the hells, my child.” Baba Yena said, walking to your bedside, and shooing him away. “She is indeed a rare sight to behold, but you will have to ask her about her heritage, she has taken considerable lengths to conceal it.”
“So you will save her?” Namjoon asked, hopeful.
“Yes, horned one. Your mate has sacrificed sufficiently, and this child has suffered greatly as it is. It is not yet her time to die.” Baba Yena said, beginning to pull several black, oily drawing implements as well as a bottle of bright blue, glowing liquid.
Without much regard for the others standing in the room, Baba Yena began unceremoniously undressing your body, causing both the men in the room to turn their gaze elsewhere. Perhaps in a different time or context, it would be embarrassing, exciting perhaps, but they felt it perverse to see you unclothed in such a state. Fully nude, Baba Yena began using the black, oily, drawing implements to draw intricate symbols all over your body.
“What are you doing?” Jungkook asked, back still turned.
“Her body is too weak to house her soul, so it is lost somewhere in the Astral Sea. The water from the Elu Spring in the Fey Wild will heal and strengthen her body. The markings are the spell that will call her soul back to her body.”
With that, Baba Yena sat you up, popping the cork of the blue liquid, and carefully poured it down your throat. Immediately, your almost grey skin flushes with color, and your rapid, shallow breaths begin to even out. Namjoon watched the monitor carefully, breathing a sigh of relief as your heart rate became stronger and faster too. Baba Yena then closed her eyes, extending her arms out straight, palms down. Her palms began to glow with a bright, white light, and as they glowed, so did the markings on your body. Baba Yena’s face scrunched with concentration. “Come on, child. It is not yet time to go.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You came to, opening your eyes, rubbing them harshly as to clear your blurred vision. You feel yourself to be weightless, immediately, as if floating on water. All around you, horizon to horizon, were breathtakingly vibrant and clear night skies, completely lit up with stars and nebula as far as the eye could see. Below, was a massive and never-ending sea of the purest, molten silver, opaque and mirror-like, the gentle waves that broke the surface capturing the starlight with such luster you wondered for a moment if the water had been made of the cosmos, perhaps from the tears of the other stars, crying for the fallen.
It didn’t exactly take a scholar to figure out you had found yourself in the Astral Plane, the plane souls found themselves in before continuing onto an afterlife fitting of whomever they worshiped in life. Legend has it that the Astral Sea is what waters the Tree of Life, and drinking from its waters will grant you all knowledge and power akin to a God in your own right. Others said those with enough hubris or guts to try are simply driven stark raving mad, cursed to roam the endless abyss with nothing but the voices in their head to keep them company. Considering that you had yet to hear of a God exalted by this water, you were more inclined to believe the latter.
How the fuck did I get to the astral realm?  You asked yourself, anxiety and panic prickling at your skin. You combed through your memories, you woke up, got dressed, had breakfast, and… you hit a wall. You try to push forward, but the more you do so, the more your brain shoots with pain. Something or someone was blocking you from remembering something important, and you judged. Whether or not that was simply a symptom of the situation you found yourself in or a direct action taken by someone, you had yet to discern.
There was at least one thing you knew about the Astral Plane, that in order to travel it, you only had to think, to will yourself in one direction or the other. You started by willing yourself into the vertical, upright position with the sea 10 meters below. What you did not know, however, was how magic functioned in this plane. The first obvious solution was to attempt to plane shift back to your reality, but when you mentally cast your consciousness out looking for laylines to dip into, you couldn’t find any. You willed yourself forward then, continuing the mental search.
Time in the Astral worked differently than in the prime material plane. There was no day or night, time simply did not pass, so it was impossible to gauge how long you truly spent looking, but you only stopped when your head throbbed from the exertion. Could it be possible that the Astral had no laylines? Or perhaps your magic had been cut off somehow, rendering you blind to any laylines that might exist? If that was the case, had you actually died? The thought raised your blood pressure.
Without the ability to dip into the magic, you were certainly not plane-shifting out of this shitty situation. You patted yourself down and only now realized that you were entirely without your personal effects, now wearing a rough spin, off-white tunic, brown pants of the same fabric, and a pair of worn leather boots. More importantly, without your stuff, you had returned to your true form. The realization was not helping the actually dead theory. You willed yourself forward, hoping to run into another soul, maybe someone who could help you figure this situation out.
You floated for what felt like years, decades. You didn’t need to eat or sleep, and with no time reference, the monotony alone would drive anyone mad, you didn’t even need to drink the seawater, you decided. Sometimes you saw people, mostly in the distance, however, and when you’d try to call their attention, they would flee like their lives depended on it. Other times the Sea itself would open up, portals of different shades of light would flash, dropping off newly departed souls, or more often, yanking an older soul into one afterlife or another. No one spoke to one another, and certainly no one spoke to you. That is, until mercifully, you hear your voice called by a friendly male voice behind you.
“Y/N?” The voice called out. The tone was friendly and definitively male, but there was a quality about the timbre that called out to something deeper and forgotten inside of you. You turned around hesitantly, seeing a tall, human man in his 20s. His hair was curly, his features dark and his skin a tanned olive. There was a familiarity to his look, and as he approached closer, it finally clicked.
“Fareed?!” You asked with a mixture of shock and surprise.
“Long time no see!” He said with a friendly wave.
When you had first escaped from the Fey Wild, Fareed was your first friend as a young child. Fareed was a bubbly but fearless kid whose hobbies appropriately included talking to strangers and jumping off the highest places he could find. He often slipped extra portions of his lunch out of the house, but you always suspected his mom knew and was giving him too much food deliberately. His fearlessness got him taken away far too young, and when our country began conscripting soldiers for some war in some faraway land, he was the first to volunteer. We received news of his passing only one month later.
To see him in his current state, alive, well, and sane choked you up and you found yourself fighting back tears.
“It’s Y/N! I must look considerably different now than when you last saw me.” You said gesturing to your true self. “Why are you still here?” You asked. Fareed had died at least 200 years ago, and you had always hoped that he was living it up in some cushy afterlife.
“I could recognize your energy from across all the planes.” He said with a light laugh. “The Astral has guardians and protectors like any other plane,” He explained. “I dedicated my afterlife to guiding and protecting the lost souls that wander here, and when it is time for them to pass on, I help them find that passage.”
“That sounds like an incredibly noble cause and absolutely something you would do,” You said with a laugh.
“Speaking of which,” He began, “I have gotten a sudden influx of souls complaining about a weird, noisy soul wandering around, harassing folks. Which, in turn, leads me to you. What are you doing here, you don’t seem dead?” He asked.
“About that,” you sighed “I woke up here and I can’t remember how or why I got here, and I would have simply teleported back but I can’t seem to use my magic.”
“That is strange, considering that the Astral Plane is incredibly magically potent, equally if not more so than the Fey Wild.” He stated. “Come here and let me touch your forehead, let me see if I can’t get this sorted for you.”
You willed yourself closer to him, and in response, he stuck his hand out, fingers tented, and placed them on your forehead. You feel nothing, but you watch Fareed’s eyes dart around rapidly, making negative vocalizations. After a moment, he drops his hand and focuses his vision back on you.
“Life certainly hasn’t been very kind to you, Y/N, and for that, I want to express my condolences.”
“Fareed the years have made you so well-spoken!” You exclaim with a laugh. “Thank you.” You said, more seriously.
“You have a powerful curse on you, but I think you already knew that. It is strange but refreshing to see your true form.” He stated. You nodded in confirmation as he continued, “You are not dead. You almost died. That is how you ended up here. Someone extremely powerful wanted you to forget what happened to you, so they blocked your memory and your magic. Fortunately, I am also someone extremely powerful and I was able to remove the block, but not the curse on you as a whole. That is a complicated and difficult endeavor not even I can do.”
With that information, you think back again, this time with crystal clear acuity. You remember the club, rescuing the woman, meeting Jungkook, his preposition. You remember being in his embrace, heat and lust and euphoria taking over every one of your senses, you remember begging him not to stop despite fading away slowly, and then darkness.
“I think I have a soulmate, Fareed.” You breathed.
“I am inclined to agree. All things do.”
“He has mates already though, 6 of them!” You exclaimed.
“Then you also have 6 additional mates,” Fareed said matter of factly.
“Don’t be ridiculous. I don’t even know those people.”
Fareed cocked an eyebrow at you. “Y/N, do you know how soulmates work?”
“Love and magic and shit, no?” You asked with a shrug.
“Not quite,” Fareed explained. “Souls as most people like to refer to them are actually called Fragments. They are the broken-up pieces of Soulias. When the gods created all sentient living things, they made a center of power, into which they put all knowledge, power, emotion, experience, and condition, and they named that power center Soulia. The problem occurred when the gods tried to plant these Soulias into vessels, the power would overwhelm the vessel and tear it apart, and the ones strong enough to withstand were monstrous creatures of pain, chaos, and violence. The Gods decided to fracture the Soulias. The larger Fragments would go into the vessels they were creating, and the smaller Shards, remnants of the fracturing process, would go into all other living creatures. Fracturing also ensured that no two vessels would live an identical life and that only true harmony could be attained when you shared your piece, your life, your soul, with others around you. It was usually convenient to break the Soulia into two, so often you will see soul mates in pairs of two. But for larger Soulias, smaller Fragments are needed, so it is broken up into smaller pieces, so soulmate groups of more than two are certainly possible. The Soulia inside the vessel will spend its whole life pining after its other pieces. Many people never find their true other half, but a good deal will find love nonetheless and find satisfaction in that. Many here found their Shards in life inside beloved plants and animals.”
“I never knew all that,” You stared at him mouth agape. “So my soul, fragment, fits in with all of theirs?” You ask, gripping at your chest.
“Precisely.”
“What happens when all the parts of a Soulia are bought together?” You asked.
“Well, as I said before, the fracturing process is extremely imperfect, and in the creation of Fragments, a great number of shards are also produced, so getting every part of a Soulia back together is practically impossible. You can, however, tie the pieces together somewhat, bonding or mating as you likely know it, which affords all persons a metaphysical line to one another. Through that line, you can pick up on how your partner is feeling, you can send short messages or emotional sentiments. If they allow you in, you can enter their mind, they can share memories with you as they saw them, and they can allow you to feel exactly how they feel, understand how they actually think. It is a powerful connection, and allows for deeper intimacy and connection possible by other non-soulmate or non-bonded pairs.”
“That sounds… intrusive.” You mumble, arms crossed.
“It can be, but everything is done with the consent of both parties. You can ignore the call of your mate down the bond, even after you’ve let them in you can push them out of your mind at any time, and you can block anyone from entering. Just takes a little practice.”
You frown at that, “It sounds like you are selling it to me.”
“I guess you could say that I am. You seem upset, why? Most people are delighted to meet a soulmate.”
“I’m mad that my soulmate almost killed me, I’m mad that I have a soulmate, I’m mad that I have 7 soul mates. I’m mad that I’ve lived the last 50 years of my life in relative solitude because I was sick and tired of getting fucked over and suddenly 7 of potentially the deepest and most intimate connections a living thing can experience is dropped onto my lap so yeah, color me upset! I can’t do loss anymore, Fareed. It’s too painful.”
He looked you up and down, contemplatively. “If I may, one old friend to another?”
You nod in response.
“Look around and tell me what you see.” He said, making a wide sweeping gesture.
“I see endless and endless nothing dotted with lonely, lost souls, hoping that someday they’ll be called to something better.”
“Time may not pass in the Astral, but what I quickly learned is that this is the summation of a human life, Y/N. They live, and most days are bleak, boring, and mundane. Occasionally, another lonely soul will cross their path, and for a time, they find comfort in one another. Ultimately, they part, and at the end of it all, they pass on hoping that whatever next is someplace better, and yet for many this is what they have to look forward to.”
“I’m not sure I understand what you are getting at, Fareed.”
“You have lived a long, brilliant life Y/N, many times longer than many of the souls that wander here. You have suffered more than much more than many of these souls, but you have been gifted the chance to love and be loved much more than many of these souls. So go, Y/N. Set yourself free from grief, worry, and suspicion. Do not shy away from love for fear of pain, love despite it, and love fiercely and unapologetically. When you are called to join us here again, come with joy in your heart from a life fearlessly spent, or be doomed to eternity searching the silver sea for your salvation. You are your own salvation.”
You pursed your lips tightly, looking down at the Astral Sea as you processed his words.
“It isn’t that easy,” You began, your voice wavering.
“For you, it won’t be,” He admitted. “It is true some come into this world full of light and for whom trust and love come easy. But for those who have been hurt as you have, it is going to be hard. Just because things are hard doesn’t mean they aren’t worth doing or that they are bad for us.”
“You know what I am, what I am made of. You see the ticking bomb I am, and yet you insist I allow people to get close to me to what... hurt as many as I can? I will never be free, Fareed. They will chase me to the ends of time and take from me what they feel they are owed. We both know that.” You finish your rant, a single tear running down your cheek. As you do so, a bright white portal opens on the top of the Astral Sea, slowly dragging you closer and closer to its event horizon.
“It seems our time together has run out,” Fareed said. “If you would allow me to leave you with a parting thought before you go. The only memories they blocked from you were of him. They wanted you to forget him so desperately they blocked your magic essentially confining you to a realm where they would never be able to touch you again. That is worth considering.”
As your feet began to hit the portal, Fareed grabbed your hand holding it close.
“Make the world tremble at you, Y/N. I don’t want to see you here for a long, long time. Good luck-” The end of the word was clipped as your vision went white, your hearing went silent, and like you were being flushed down a toilet, you felt yourself being yanked at lightning speed by your feet, and suddenly everything was again dark.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Baba Yena pulled up her arms suddenly, and in response, your body involuntarily arched. When doing so, you let out a sudden, loud gasp, causing all present to breathe a small sigh of relief to themselves too.
“The child was very deep, so it took me a while to find her.” Baba Yena said, redressing you in a spare hospital bed and tucking you in gently. “Both of you,” She said, turning to the men who had huddled together for comfort during the spell. “Kneel.”
They looked at each other, but rather than piss off a supremely powerful being who just did you a massive favor, the pair concede, sinking to the floor on their knees. Once in position, Baba Yena approached the pair. While kneeling, Baba Yena was at eye level with the boys. She approached Jungkook first.
Thwack!  She cracked him across the skull with a walking cane. “What are you doing bleeding girls dry like you're some poor changling with no control of their thirst? You are over 200 years old, act your age! You had no business testing out a connection you had no idea if you could control without supervision.” Baba Yena scolded him thoroughly.
“And you,”  Thwack!  This time she cracked Namjoon over the skull with the cane. “What the hell kind of doctor are you? You were in such a rush to do nothing you didn’t stop to see the blinding, gold amulet that she wears? The very same type you and several of your mates wear? If he almost killed her, you were signing the death certificate with your negligence ink. You ought to be ashamed.” She finished, brushing nothing off her petticoat, and gathering her things to leave.
“She will wake in 3 days fully rested and back to full health. There will come a time when she has questions about herself, and when she does, find me. Until then, leave me alone. You kids have caused me enough trouble as it is. Oh and, be careful with that one. She has been through enough.” And with that, she flourishes the very same cane, vanishing.
The silence that hangs in the air after Baba Yena leaves is long and heavy, but mixed with relief as the pair approach both sides of your bed, staring at your sleeping form. It was amazing how starkly opposite you looked now to even just an hour before, knocking on death’s door.
“I think you have a lot of explaining to do, Kook.”
“Later,” The younger one pleaded. “I just want to sit here for a little while.”
“Later.” Namjoon agreed, excusing himself. Not but 20 minutes later, he found himself back in the room, second chair and laptop in hand. Jungkook was too guilt-ridden to say it, but he was immensely grateful for the company. He hoped you were too.
_____________________________________________ Tags @luvlykyy ---------------------------------------------------------- Big lore dump this chapter! Some of you may be noticing some inspiration from DnD to lend me some framework for world-building! That is absolutely true, but as I also mentioned I have been using it as a framework, and as such it may or may not veer violently off the Forgotten Realms cannon, so don't get too twisted about "Hey, that's not how that thing works!" It's just a work of fiction I'm writing for funsies at the end of the day so don't take it too seriously. I hope you are all enjoying~

“So you are telling me that, somehow, BTS members now want me to be their exclusive coffee maker?”
You were looking at your manager as if he had just told you a volcano had just appeared in the middle of Gagnam. It was impossible. You had only seen some of the members once, and you managed to act like an idiot during the few minutes they were in your presence. You had only prepared the extremely strong iced americano Yoongi had asked. There was no way he had liked that coffee enough to ask for such a crazy thing. Or…or maybe they were doing it knowing you would make a mistake, so they could fire you. Maybe they had hated you so much they couldn’t stand seeing you in the café so they wanted an easy and quick way to get rid of you…
“You should see it as more of a kind of assistant…not that they need it” your manager just shrugged as he was taking your name out of all the shifts he had pre planned for the month. “Now I have to reorganize all of this…but that is none of your concern. You should go see them so they can explain your new duties more thoroughly”
“But…”
“No buts! Many, including myself, would kill for this opportunity that somehow feel upon such a scrawny girl. So come on, move your butt” you wanted to keep fighting, but the look your manager, or…ex-manager, sent your way stopped you. You were absolutely terrified and he seemed to notice, because his eyes softened for a second and he tapped lightly his writing board on your head. “Don’t make them wait, twentieth floor, and turn right”
You nodded once and made a deep bow to him, thanking him for the couple weeks you have been working under his direction. You could feel your hands shake while you walked towards the elevator and dialed the number. Your breathing was troubled while your mind started filling with all the terrible scenarios. You couldn’t afford to loose this job! Your parents had left you on your own because of your inability to take care of yourself and now you were alone…It was not your fault! You did your best to comply with all your basic necessities, but they would just slip out of your mind with all the things that were actually inside of it.
Eating, sleeping, exercising…they just seemed secondary with your many worries and anxieties! So it was easy to rely on your parents. It’s not like you asked them to cook or clean your messes for you, but you started relying a bit too much on their constant reminders or orders. It just made life easier for you, to have those easy commands to follow so you hadn’t to occupy your mind with them and get easily overwhelmed. Ever since you were a child, you tended to give up control when it came to those kind of things. You were more of a follower, enjoying simple tasks and clear instructions.
But seems like they couldn’t stand it, so they just kicked you out of the house, telling you to find a job and start taking care of yourself.
And you had been doing it just fine! You had already found this job when they kicked you out, so you had a bit of savings. Enough to pay for the deposit and first month of a nice apartment not too far from the café, and with a few small design commissions you had been doing, you had enough for groceries and basic services. Yeah, you were missing a few of your meals here and there, but it was no big deal. You were handling just fine.
But you didn’t know what you were going to do if you lost this job.
Before you could realize, the elevator had arrived to its destination. Every second that went by it was harder to breathe, so you were looking at the ground and holding your chest when the doors opened. You walked out with a cold sweat breaking down your neck and you leaned against the wall of the corridor, trying to calm yourself down for a couple minutes. If they saw you like this on your first appearance, they were surely firing you.
Breathe Y/N…come on, get yourself together.
You can’t mess this up.
You can’t-
“There you are!! We were wondering if you had gotten lost…” A voice interrupted your internet conversation, and you opened your eyes surprised, lifting your head.
In front of you, there was Kim Taehyung. T h e Kim Taehyung, smiling sweetly at you. You eyes widened, looking like a deer in headlights. He thought you were adorable, with some hair strands around your cheeks and your cute freckled nose. As soon as you made eye contact, you lowered your gaze and started to bow.
“I’m so so sorry for making you wait, I-I was just…”you tried to explain yourself, but your tongue seemed to be against you.
“Nothing to apologize for!”He smiled openly and took your hand as if you had know each other forever, and started walking, guiding you “Come, we are all waiting for you. Namjoon and Hoseok hyung are excited to meet you” he started rambling about his hyungs and his day, and you just noticed the way his hand was clinging to yours and somehow that had helped you to ground yourself. Like an anchor.
But your calm stated only lasted so long. He dragged you around a few corridors until he just opened a big door and you encountered yourself being watched by six pairs of eyes. All looking at you. Unconsciously, you let go of Taehyung had and started clenching your fists, digging your nails into your skin, trying to stop the trembling. You lowered your gaze immediately, as you felt your skin growing hot from the embarrassment.
They were all so handsome.
You felt so intimidated with all those incredibly beautiful man staring at you with such intensity. Even with your eyes lowered, you could feel their gazes piercing at you. Maybe there was something on your face…or your clothes! You had been working on the café before receiving the news, perhaps you had stained yourself and they thinking about how dirty you looked! Oh my god, why didn’t you go to the bathroom and cleaned yourself if you knew you were meeting them? You are such a fool!! And your hair was a mess! You hadn’t slept well last night, so you also probably had dark circles under your eyes. You couldn’t even take proper care of yourself the day you were meeting such an important people…
“Hmm, you boys were actually right about her…such a pretty thing”
Your head raised so quickly the boys thought you probably pulled a muscle, but they could only focus on your big eyes looking at them as if they had said the most foolish thing in the world. Namjoon, who had spoken, had a smirk on his face when he realized he had caught your attention.
“What?…” the words slipped out of your mouth without a second thought, and you immediately regretted it, because you lowered your head back again and bit your lip.
“Oh! She speaks! I was starting to worry Taehyung had broken her on his way here, but seems like she was just shy, right?” Hoseok smiled kindly, trying to get your eyes on his direction, but it didn’t work, since you were focused on your shoes, trying to avoid their heavy stares.
“I-I’m sorry…I shouldn’t have spoken out of turn…It won’t happen again” Your parents had taught you not to speak if you weren’t spoken! Even more when it came to people with a bigger status. Couldn’t you do anything right today?
You could already feel your head spiraling into anxiety.
“Why don’t you look at us when we speak, and then you’ll be able to tell if you should talk or not?” Yoongi’s voice filled the air and you clench your fists tighter. You want to listen, you really do want to raise your eyes, even more at his tone, that almost made you melt at such a clean and soft order. It was perfect…
But you didn’t. What if it was a trap? You had already messed up enough for a day. One more could be the perfect excuse to fire you! They even had the power to make sure you never found a job in all the time that was left of your life. What were you gonna do then? You couldn’t go back to your parents house! And you didn’t have enough money to take a flight overseas and try to find a job there. But even if you did, they had enough influence to reach any corner in the world! There was no way to scape and…
A hand entangled itself on the hair of your nape and pulled firmly. Not enough to hurt, but enough to ground you. To steady you. And to make sure you raised your head and met the dragon eyes that were firmly staring at you.
“I like when people look at me if I talk to them” A chill went down your spine. Your hands relaxed immediately, freeing your skin from your nails. All your muscles relaxed at the same time and you were able to maintain his gaze, with a soft blush on your cheeks. You felt so…nice. “Do you think you can do that, or do I have to keep you in this position until you are able to, doll?”
You nod softly. What does this man have, that makes you wanna listen to him? You want to do everything he says, for him to be proud of you. You wanted to show him you could listen, and be good. His words are just so…clear, so easy to listen to, so warm and easy to follow.
You feel like melted caramel.
Flowy and warm.
“Hyung asked you something. Answer him” Jungkook speaks, but you don’t break eye contact with Namjoon. Even less when you feel his hand tighten on your scalp and your thighs give the smallest of clenches.
“Y-yes, I can…”
Your mother did always say you gave control out to others too easily, didn’t she?

The moon hung low in the night sky as you ran in the opposite direction of your house. Well, your brother’s house. You had never considered it a home the moment things took a drastic turn after your parent’s death. A home is a place where one feels safe and secure but this is… this was no home.
You had no sense of direction as you blasted through thick foliage and wet mud. The sky was dark and thunder boomed when you left but now it was pouring. Drenched from head to toe, you felt your anxiety rise as the sky darkened and your lungs collapsed. You paused at the foot of a tree, bending down to catch your breath. You had no idea where you were going. All you knew was that you needed to run.
Run. Run. Run or they will catch you again.
The air was still with your heavy breathing and loud splatters of rain when you heard rustling sounds. Suddenly blinded by the onslaught of light, you made out the rough shape of your bulky brother. Fearing for your life, you quickly stumbled up and ran again. You didn’t dare look back but you dared to look up.
The moon was shining bright tonight, despite the darkness that was chasing you. It casted an ethereal glow over the dense forest and if you tilted your head just right, you could see little rainbows in the making. You ran through the trees, heart pounding against your chest. You didn’t know how far or how close you were to your brother and his gang. At the same time, you didn’t know where the fuck you were. You could just imagine being eaten up by some sort of nocturnal animal in here.
“BITCH! Come back here! Who said you could run away, huh?”
You tried to pump your legs harder - to give you more strength. But you found yourself short of any sort of energy. You didn’t have dinner and it was during your break did you sneak past the back door and run away from them, hastily slipping on your clothes for some decency. You carried nothing with you - just you, underwear, and clothes - which is essentially whatever you were wearing.
“Ey! I swear you’re going to get it from me when we catch you! FUCK, you’re done!”
The sound of your own harsh breathing drowned out the haunting echoes of your abusive brother’s threats. For years, you endured his cruelty,  but tonight - tonight you had enough. He sold your body. Sold your body to his friends. You had sobbed and begged with every last shred of dignity you had but they never listened. You didn’t know where you were going but you knew you couldn’t stay there any longer.
You stumbled through the woods on clumsy feet, the darkness of the foliage seemed to close in around you. You tried to keep your anxiety at bay, knowing it would do you more harm than good if you started to panic. Branches clawed at the exposed skin of your feet, the ground beneath the flimsy slippers you hastily wore was uneven and treacherous the deeper you went. Fear gnawed at your insides and despair threatened to overtake you. Breathing harshly, you tried to keep yourself calm.
Just as you thought that all hope was lost and you would have to be running forever or be caught, your attention focused on the soft glow of light emitting from a cottage house. Without thinking, you ran towards it and pulled against the handle, trying every one until you found an open door and slammed it shut behind you.
Sliding onto the floor, you placed your head between your legs, breathing through your mouth. You were tired and bruised. You heard before you saw someone stand in front of you, shadow covering half of your hunched over body. Your breath caught as you slowly took in the sight before you. You were the centre of their attention, their eyes reflecting the silver light of the moon. You were sure you weren’t breathing. THese were the folklore of your little village - stories passed down by the elders from generation to generation.
Werewolves.
Nobody believed that there were such mystical beings living amongst you. But you were certain that they were exactly what you believed. These seven men that surrounded you brought around them an aura of power and grace.
You could easily tell by the tall and commanding figure to your left that that was the leader of the pack. He stepped forward, gait slow and steady, approaching you as if you were a scared prey. But you were quite the opposite. As you looked at each of them, they surveyed you quietly. Looking at each of them in their eyes, you felt a connection deep in your blood - a spark of recognition of what belongs.
“Are you in danger?” he asked, voice low and soothing.
You nodded, voice trembling as you replied, “My - my brother, he and his friends, they - they -”
The door was suddenly banged open as you stumbled into the man’s hold. You felt a sense of protection and comfort you had never known when you were with them. They surrounded you again, this time, as a protection barrier between you and your brother.
You curled deeper into yourself.
Without hesitation, a man grabbed your cheeks and forced you to look at his smiling eyes. “Hey! My name is Jimin! What’s yours?”
“Y/N, come here now.” Your brother commanded. Shivering in your spot against Jimin’s body, you shook your head and rejected him. You didn’t want to.
“Come here now or you will regret it.” You shook your head. You didn’t want to go back to the life you once had. If it was considered life.
“Come here and I won’t kill these ‘men’. They are vicious monsters, you know that.”
Your head turned when you heard your name being called. “You are safe here. We won’t let anyone hurt you now.” You nodded and turned away from your brother, clinging onto Jimin’s shirt tightly.
“It’s funny how you claim to care for your sister when you sold her off. It is funny how you think you would be able to hurt us.” The man with cat-like eyes formed into slits. He certainly looked more like a cat than a wolf.
“HAH!” Your brother laughed maniacally. “You are a bunch of monsters. Werewolves? Ridiculous! You are not wolves nor are you humans. Monsters is an appropriate word to use for paws.”
“Shall we let her choose then?” The man with a fluffy head of hair said.
The silence that followed was deafening. The tension in the air was at its peak and both sides were ready for an attack.
“Come now, Y/N. Let’s go home, I’ll get you some ice cream if you cooperate now.” Your brother held his hand out, palm facing up - placating. He didn’t want to lose his face in front of his friends and males who didn’t even know you.
But you refused. Your head went to Jimin’s neck as you stood up, trying to hook a leg onto his waist.
Keyword: trying.
You were just too short for him.
The man with fluffy hair chuckled lowly at your attempts. Quickly hooking a hand under your thighs, he lifted you up onto Jimin’s hip. As he left, going back to his spot, your hand shot out to hold him in place, accidentally pulling against his hair instead. Your hand quickly retracted and your head shot up.
“I -”
He was quick to soothe you, one hand patting your thigh in a soothing rhythm while the other went to your untamed hair, softly stroking the back of your head.
“Hey, hey. It’s okay, okay? You can do whatever you want with me.” You hesitantly pulled against the sleeve of his shirt.
“Stay? Please?”
He nodded. “Of course, darling. I wouldn’t dare go anywhere.”
The rest of the males reformed themselves to ensure that the three of you in the centre were protected.
“I think it is clear what her choice is. Now leave.” The pack leader commanded, voice strong with power. You saw your brother’s friend pull him along.
“Fine! Die with these mutts around you, whore!”
The cat-wolf lunged for your brother when the pack leader pulled him back.
The males remained in the formation only when they were certain your brother was far enough and they couldn’t smell him from the distance anymore. Only then did they relax their posture, slowly turning towards you with worried eyes. You were no longer shaking in Jimin and the fluffy hair’s hold but your scent was still sour with fear.
They cautiously moved up the stairs to the living room where they sat down at the sofa. You turned your head to look at them. All seven males were foreign to you - as foreign as the way they made you feel safe and protected.
“Should we… say names?” The man with a whole sleeve of tattoos asked, eyes big and filled with curiosity - just like a bunny’s, you thought.
“I’m Namjoon.” The pack leader started.
“Yoongi.” You finally had a name for the cat-wolf.
“Taehyung.” The fluffy head of hair appeared into your view again. “But I give you special permission to call me TaeTae!”
 You nodded.
“I’m Seokjin but just Jin is okay, yeah?”
“Me! Me!” The bunny man hopped up. “I’m Jungkookie!”
“You can call me Hobi!”
Oh that man was filled with sunshine, you could clearly see.
“And I’m Jimin but you already know that, little one.”
You nodded.
“Would you like to ask us anything?”
You shook your head then nodded again, pointing to Yoongi. “Cat-wolf. Cat. Meow-Meow.”
Jungkook burst out laughing from your left, igniting a round of laughter that filled the room and lifted the heavy atmosphere.
“For you, you can call me whatever you want, darling.” Yoongi smiled, gums out as he looked at you with adoration.
In that moment, you felt their strength and loyalty, their offering to you of a sanctuary - a refuge from the darkness you fought so hard from. From those that have haunted your life for so long.
As time passed, you became part of their pack - a human amongst werewolves. They were patient in teaching you their traditions and customs, their code of honour and their ways. You learned that they were the protectors of the forest, guardians of the vulnerable, and that they are the core value of the balance of nature itself.
Namjoon, with his kind eyes and strong presence, quickly became a source of your strength and guidance for you. His knowledge and wisdom never failed to keep you entertained. Although clumsy, this man was the foundation of his pack.
Seokjin, with his unseriousness and constant care, he helped heal the wounds that your brother and his friends had inflicted upon you. He kept you steady as you grew, always ensuring to pull you up when you got down but bringing you down when you were too high up.
Yoongi, the car-wolf, with his gentle hands and calm nature became another one of your rocks. He never failed to teach you something new that day and he most certainly cooked one of the best foods you have ever tasted - rivalling Seokjin’s.
Hobi, with his everlasting laughter and sunshine, was an easy person to be around as you healed from your wounds. He never fails to make you laugh. With him around, there was never a dull moment.
Jimin, with his soft and calming nature, he unintentionally healed both your emotional and mental wounds. While Seokjin cared for your physical wounds, Jimin was always a talking buddy that helped you through understanding yourself and your worth.
TaeTae, with his outgoing mischievous nature, the both of you were constantly creating something to be cleaned up. Hand-in-hand with Jungkookie, the three of you liked to run out and about, being everywhere.
Jungkookie, with his curiosity and strength, the both of you were always causing mischief for the others. Like partners-in-crime, the both of you would be curious about everything and anything, so the both of you would always take it upon yourselves to figure out the answers.
But you have also come to realise that the entire pack was more than just a pack - they were a family. Each of them had their own unique qualities and were a force to be reckoned with. Today was a full moon and under the light of the glowing orb, you discovered a love and acceptance that you had never known. Your past, with all its pain and suffering, seems to fade into the background when you are with them. Embracing the new chapter of your life, you ran forward with them, putting your full trust in the seven males you had learned to understand.
With your heart and spirit soaring, you felt the exhilaration of the transformation, the wind against your fur, and the pure joy of being truly free. In these moments, you knew you had found your place - a home amongst those who have shown you the power of love, trust, and transformation.
As you looked up the the moon, you couldn’t help but feel a huge wave of gratitude. The moon led you here today - to the sanctuary - a place where you were no longer a victim but a survivor; that you were no longer alone but in a place filled with love and acceptance.
As you howled at the moon and cuddled amongst your pack, you came to realise that sometimes, safety and love are found in the most unexpected places. For instance, in a moonlit sanctuary of a werewolf pack that had become your everlasting family.

ᵀʰᵉ ᴺᵒᵗᵉᵇᵒᵒᵏ
BTS Jungkook x F!Reader
Living in the real, normal world, Y/n comes across all kinds of creatures in her daily life; demons, sirens, protective spirits. The list could go on, but the main point is that she does so unknowingly.
That is, until she is caught in the clutches of death, icy cold water battering her lungs as a Grim Reaper awaits her death, his pitch-black eyes hungry, desperate for her death.
So what happens when a Demon and a Siren come to her rescue?
Tumblr media
The sound of coffee beans being grounded and the smell of fresh pastries being put out filled the busy interior of the café, wafting amongst numerous conversations between people, numerous songs being played, numerous stories being exchanged.
The rather large space was engulfed in a warmth that came from two fireplaces, as rain eagerly pattered against the tall, clear windows.
There was one particular man who stood out amongst the others, dressed in a fluffy, knitted grey sweater, a black blazer and jeans. His hat was placed on the side as he sipped on his coffee, finger lazily turning a page in his book. Though his appearance was so unusual, he went by completely unnoticed. Not a single eye caught the sight of him.
He went by the name Jeon, leaving his first name to be a luxury known only to those closest to him.
Although his nose seemed to be pointing to his book, his eyes were observing elsewhere. Scanning, searching.
He noticed the way a woman's lips became redder after sipping quietly on some coffee.
The way a teenagers eyes skimmed over words rapidly whilst reading a mahogany leather book.
Those were just minor distractions, though.
His main focus was the young woman sat at the faraway corner of the café, in the company of a young, red haired man. Her lips, tinted a darker pink, were moving fast, head dipping lower as her eyes stared into her companions, almost pleadingly.
The chime of bells drew his attention away; the woman wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon.
A young couple entered the café, their eyes set on the seat that Jeon occupied. They skimmed over his figure, just about to place their bags down. He muttered something, his lips barely moving an inch.
The air grew colder, nipping at the couple until they moved away, shaking their head, muttering that it was too cold in that specific spot. Jeon's eyes lingered for a few minutes on the young woman, and, with a sigh, he snapped his book shut.
Gripping tightly on it, he made his way over to his target.
He stood just beside her, watching the man opposite her. He had a heart-shaped smile, almond eyes and ruby-red hair. He often let out an almost intoxicating laugh, the corners of his eyes crinkling up as his smile widened, mirroring that of the woman's.
Jeon leaned down, hands clutching his book behind his back. His nose just barely brushed against the woman's cheek, eyes boring into hers, though she couldn't see him, couldn't feel him. Maybe a small breeze or a shiver, but that's it.
"Y/n L/n." He spoke softly, hand caressing at a loose lock of hair on her head. "22 years old... Female." He continued, this time moving away as he moved to her other side, fingertips leaving featherlight touches over her shoulder.
"Has a family; mother, father, older brother. Single." That last part he had said with an amused huff, his chest raising up and down, heart beating just the slightest bit faster.
He turned his gaze away, looking out through the window.
He could see the waves crashing against the beach perfectly, though the weather was not doing anyone any favours that day. The sky was grey and cloudy, not allowing a single ray of sunshine to pass through.
The water was murky, dark, clawing at the sandy beach below with a spine-chilling fervour. An image flashed through his mind.
The waves, the wooden, soaked dock. Water splashing against it, creating a slippery step. White sneakers stepped over it, a soft voice carried by the harsh winds.
A scream.
Followed by a splash.
Hands thrashed around, reaching out to him from the murky seawater, calling for help.
"Date of death; 15th March 2024." He clicked his tongue loudly and shook his head. "Time; 15:24, died by drowning."
Suddenly, the woman looked at her phone, noticing the time. Her eyes widened in panic, and as she abruptly stood up, she almost spilled her coffee. Slinging her scarf over her neck, she muttered apologies to the man opposite her.
"I'm so sorry Hoseok, I have to go, I'm meeting someone in about half an hour." She said, slinging her hand bag over her shoulder, shoving her phone into her pocket. "It's for my class project, you know, the fish one." She continued, shrugging her shoulders, a tight-lipped smile plastered on her face.
Hoseok's eyes looked up at her, slightly widened, lips parted. Then, he nodded his head in recognition.
"Ahhh, yes. That's fine love, but do you want me to walk you there? I wouldn't want you to slip or something." He said, getting up from his own chair.
"Oh, no no, it's okay! I'll be meeting with Seokjin." She exclaimed, waving her hands in protest. "He collected some statistics from the fishery, so I'll only be getting those and heading straight home after." She said, this time moving around the table to stand by Hoseok's side, placing a warm hand on his shoulder.
"I won't be long, I'll be home before you know it." She said softly, a small smile on her lips.
Hoseok nodded, though his eyes had a suspicious glint in them.
"You better text me as soon as you get home, alright?" He asked, bringing her in for a hug. Y/n exhaled into his shoulder, her hands wrapping around his waist, nodding her head.
"Of course I will. You do the same, okay?" She looked up at him, a quirk in her brow, and with that, the two bid their goodbyes and Y/n was on her way, with a dark, shadowy figure looming over her shoulder.
The walk itself didn't seem to take too long; before she knew it, it was almost half past. The ocean breeze blew past her mercilessly, dragging a strands of hair behind, tangling them into a mess of nightmares.
A strong shudder travelled down her spine, though she downplayed it to just the weather being cruel.
She couldn't see the dark cloud looming over her shoulder, checking the time on his wrist every so often as he stalked after her, black irises growing desperate, hungry. The more souls he collected the better.
The reaper almost wished he could speed the process up, the hairs on the back of his neck standing up on the ends, his body experiencing a new kind of static excitement. He was so close, so so close to-
His eyes widened, feet coming to a stop as he was greeted with a familiar face.
Golden hair glinted even on the murky day, the grey clouds not dimming the glow that surrounded him. His almond eyes travelled to Y/n's, a dimpled smile appearing on his cheeks as he extended a pair of muscular arms out for a hug.
For a moment, Jeon felt a false sense of security; the man couldn't see him.
But that feeling was shattered like a porcelain doll when the man's piercing gaze stabbed right through him. Eyes narrowed like that of a fox, the man's eyebrows furrowed in a fury.
What was the Reaper doing with his precious, little human friend?
Kim Namjoon wondered, his hands rubbing comforting circles over Y/n's back, his grip tightening ever so slightly. His gaze never left Jeon, observing the unmoving figure.
Was Y/n going to die?
How?
Why and when?
Now?
Like hell he was going to let that happen.
He was ripped from his spiralling thoughts, Y/n having pulled away and now gazing at him, a look of adoration swimming in her irises. She admired Namjoon, not only for his brains, but also for his kindness.
He was her senior by a year, always busy with new modules and projects set by their shared professors, but he never failed to lend her a helping hand, guiding her in the right direction study-wise.
A lot of her work had also referenced his own research; which was beneficial in many ways.
"Namjoon! I haven't seen you in so long, what are you doing here?!" She asked, a wide grin stretching across her face, her hands rubbing up and down his arms in an attempt to keep him warm.
"I was just coming back from meeting Jin, we were working on collecting some statistics," He paused, moving to walk alongside the young woman, her hand linked around one of his arms.
"Isn't that weird? I was on my way to see him," She responded, turning to give Namjoon a raised brow, "Did he ask you to help him out?"
At that, Namjoon nodded his head, a laugh escaping his lips. He let out a sniffle, his long strides keeping Y/n on her toes as she made an effort to keep in pace with the male.
Jeon followed them like a gloomy cloud, occasionally noticing Namjoon sending daggers at him, a dangerous furrow between his eyebrows. The demon wasn't happy about the threat to his favourite human's life.
He'd do anything to protect her, to keep her by his side.
Jeon knew that the demon was one born of jealousy and greed, but that hadn't phased him. He had met far too many dangerous creatures during his long lifespan, eventually becoming immune to their negative auras and murderous thoughts.
He himself was repenting for his past lives' sins, so it wasn't like he was a saint himself.
It wasn't long before the three met a third creature; a siren, the so-called Seokjin. Though this one couldn't see Jeon, he could feel his presence, Jin's ears peeking up at the unfamiliar tension lurking around Y/n's shoulders.
Just as he was about to ask, Namjoon shot him a death stare, Jin understanding immediately.
'I'll explain later'
The three talked for a while, a few gasps and laughs escaping the conversation. As promised, Jin had collected the data Y/n had requested, his chest puffing up proudly as the woman flicked through the pages eagerly.
"This is amazing Jin! Where the hell did you find all these people?!" She had exclaimed at one point, bringing him in for another hug as she nuzzled her nose into his neck, just beneath his jawline.
"Y'know I've got connections, Y/n/n," He chuckled, sending a cheeky wink at her, "I'm glad I could be of help to you sweets."
The conversation carried on for a little while longer, Y/n parting from the two as she insisted she had to be home early, or else Hoseok would go insane.
With a quick goodbye and hug, she left through the door of the fishing hut, walking along the deck.
The sky was much darker now, and the waves murkier. She couldn't even see her own reflection in the water as she leant over, feeling her sneakers getting soaked.
Water licked at her shoes, aggressively staining the material. She'd have to battle out the salt later on.
Soon, a big wave had made its way towards her, the current almost swaying her off of the deck, tugging at her body. That itself was scary enough for the young woman to hurry her pace, hands stuffed in her pockets as she wearily eyed the water.
The sky seemed gloomier, greyer, more dangerous. Her hurried steps could barely be heard over the splashing of waves against boulders and deck, her heart rate spiking up.
The wind pulled at her hair and scarf, blowing cold wisps of air into her ears and eyes, almost blinding her from how much she needed to blink just to remove the stray sand Pericles from her waterline.
Her hand came up to rub at her eye, thumb pulling at the sand grains. And that was her mistake.
On unsteady feet, a distracted mind, and cold hands, a wave larger than the previous one had smashed against the shore, the draft pulling her backwards as the woman fell, her temple hitting the side of the dense, slippery green wood.
The water engulfed her body completely, dragging her back and forth, the coldness invading her nostrils and wind pipe.
It prickled at her fingers like a thousand tiny blades, but burned her from the inside out like an uncontrollable wildfire. She tried not to panic, she tried so hard. But when your senses are screaming for you to breathe and to get out, it's difficult to stop thrashing around; like a canary in a small cage.
She couldn't see anything, the scalding, salty water forcing her eyelids to close, to seek some form of comfort as she blindly swam through the water, her lungs burning with an unknown agony.
Her screams occasionally reached her ears, as the waves sadistically teased her, allowing just enough air to enter her lungs before it was deemed enough, and that's when she inhaled what felt like a bucket-full of salty, scratching sea-water.
Her nose burned, her eyes burned.
Her throat was on fire, her lungs fighting to push the water out.
Her body was scalding hot.
Her arms thrashed, attempting to form some sort of swim, her legs kicking up as the pounding in her head never eased.
She fought and fought, forcing her body back to the top, until her limbs grew too tired, until another current swayed her further and further away, until the remaining oxygen had been emptied from her lungs, escaping in small bubbles that slowly floated upwards.
The tips of her fingers prickled, her hair tickling the tip of her nose as it swayed gently, the current becoming calmer the further she sank. The cold enveloped her in an icy embrace, freezing over her skin, tainting it the colour red, her cheeks having lost their usual warm hue.
Her body hit the sand, small particles lunged upwards, dancing around her grimly.
The cold was like a blanket, chilling through layers on skin, blood and muscle, finally coiling around her bones like a desperate, starving snake, squeezing tighter and tighter, crushing any feeling she had before she had fallen.
Her consciousness fought, and the little survival instinct and adrenaline that circled within her body, had all but made the tiniest of twitches prance all over. The quickest flex of a pointer finger, a sudden kick of her foot, or the spasmed leaps of her chest and shoulders.
How much time had passed? Only those above knew.
Did anyone hear her falling in? Possibly.
All she knew was the indescribable burning sensation in her chest, the suffocating inability to breathe.
Her vision was pitch-black, her surroundings turning into nothingness as her body slowly caved in, almost curling in on itself.
She then, suddenly, felt a soft touch on her arm. It tugged at her body, swaying it through the water. Was she dead already?
It wasn't until she felt a chilling breeze gush past her, her mind empty and blank, unable to tell what was happening.
The scalding burn that enveloped her body had turned into the most painful coldness she had ever felt. What was happening? Hasn't she had enough?
But it was too late, as a pair of hands pumped against her chest, another pair stuttering around her face, a soft touch stroking the icy skin of her cheek. She was swallowed by darkness, her mind going numb, body limp, and consciousness far away.
Jeon tutted to himself as he watched the scene unfold, the sight of a half-naked demon trying to resuscitate you, shouting for you to stay away.
It was ironic, really.
But Jeon knew, that in just a moments time, you would be stood by his side, clawing at your face, pulling your hair, screaming hysterically at the sight of your long-dead body, pleading for one last chance.
Namjoon's hands continued pushing against your chest in rhythmic beats, his breathing laboured and short. Water dripped down the sharp tips of his soaked hair, down onto the muscular, naked expanse of his back.
Goosebumps run rampant across his sun-kissed skin, though it wasn't because of the cold.
Oh no, Jeon knew exactly what those shivers were.
Excitement. Elation. Pride.
Defiance.
That greedy demon wasn't worried nor was he cold, he was happy!
Jeon squinted his eyes at the creature, knowing he took pride in what he was doing.
With a soft sigh, he inched closer to your body, until he became an eclipse above the demon's shoulders.
He didn't feel an ounce of joy as previous records of numerous deaths unfolded before his eyes, his fist always clutched tight at his side as he half-reminisced, his pupils clouded over, an all too familiar memory coming to flood his senses.
His breathing laboured, pupils blown wide, throat sore as an inaudible hurdle of screams erupted from within his chest.
The fear he felt, the guilt, the pain. It had all shook him to his core.
He remembered it so clearly, as though it happened yesterday.
The way her eyes clouded over, a gasp escaping from her gaped lips.
That day.. That day she left him, clutching the arrow that had been impaled into her chest, the day he lost the love of his life.
Right through the heart.
His frown remained, his chest tightened, for another two or so minutes, before confusion washed over him. Where was she? Wasn't her spirit supposed to appear before him by now?
Slowly reaching into his notepad, the tips of his fingers had just barely brushed against the tip of his Notebook, when the sound of suffocated coughs and gurgles filled his ears.
She's alive?
How?
What did that stupid, ignorant demon just do?
He could feel his blood begin to boil, the sight of Namjoon's cheery grin and Seokjin's laughter as they had managed to successfully revive you.

Comfort. All you felt was comfort at this moment, you felt arms wrapped around you in a loving and caring way, a calming yet indistinguishable scent flowing to your nose.
You welcomed it, all this felt so right. You could see the kiss of the sun on your skin with a light beeze of the wind hitting you, you wished this could stay forever.
It felt as if you were complete at this moment. You felt so full and loved, so happy and like you were in heaven. This was how life is supposed to be, no worries, no doubt, just love and warmth all throughout.
Suddenly you felt a light brush of lips on your cheek and as you were about to turn around-
Everything had vanished.
You were now left empty, confused, even bamboozled as you open your eyes to the light colored walls of your room.
It was a dream? Damn it, of course it was a dream, you're a single prune with not a mate in sight. Since when did you get THIS touch starved? It's only been around.. 2-3 years since your last relationship?
You had never thought about it much before, you had your mind on other things like family, studies, ice-skating, ballet, and a couple of other things.
Never having an ounce of time to even just oogle and admire other guys on campus had finally taken a toll on you and you were starting to realize it. Maybe Jimin and Jungkook might just be your starvation.
The two are handsome hybrids that are torally your type, surely a small admiration wouldn't hurt anyone? As long as you have your boundaries set, it shouldn't go wrong.
You finally decided to check your alarm clock, it was 8:24 on a Sunday. Having a day-off to just relax and catch up on some shows shouldn’t be too bad, you already studied your butt off the night before yesterday just to be ahead for a few more lessons to remove some of the load. Yeah, you kinda do deserve this 'all about you day'.
Grabbing your phone from the nightstand, you turn it on to be greeted with a few messages from two new people. Opening up the first one, you are greeted with:
Kookie💭at 9:23pm: hey bun-hyung, just got home
Kookie💭at 9:24pm: already asleep? Ballet took a lot out of you lol, sleep well sweets
Kookie💭at 7:34 am: gm, just woke up for my jog, you down for some lunch in the new bistro at around 12? Jimin is gonna come and maybe another one of our guys.
You smiled at the way he remembered about texting you when they got home, the nicknames and invitation was what got a lot of your attention though. Finally deciding to reply to him:
Y/N🐰 at 8:29 am: good mornin' ♡ just woke up, yes I'd love to go out for lunch! Sounds like it'd be a date tbh hahah
Kookie💭 at 8:29 am: hmm? Would you like it to be only us?
Y/N🐰 at 8:29 am: so playful, wolfyboy!!!
Kookie💭 at 8:30 am: very cute sweets, but the lads are really lookin' forward to seein you
Y/N🐰 at 8:30 am: who might this other fellow be? 👀👀
Kookie💭 at 8:30 am: it's a surprise bun, dress smart casual or semi-formal by the way.
A guy that knows you might struggle with knowing what to wear and then telling you the theme on what to wear.. now that's just attractive. He'd sweep anyone off their feet.
In honesty, you were quite surprised at how comfortable Jungkook had gotten with you, not that you minded but you took him as someone who would only do the bare minimum to be polite and friendly to strangers.
You decided to check on what the feline boy could have texted you:
Jimin🐈‍⬛ at 9:26 pm: Kook and I got home safe! Hope the rest of your night is good.
Jimin🐈‍⬛ at 8:34 am: I heard I'll be seeing a bunny later in the afternoon? 😏
You laughed under your breath as you read the message, seems like news spreads fast in their house.
Y/N🐰 at 8:34 am: Indeed, a cute bunny boy will be spotted at the bistro!
Surely flirting here and there wouldn't be too bad? You really couldn't help it, the two were two of the most socially magnetic people you've met and you were honestly hoping a strong friendship would come out of this. Well, not like your heart slightly yearned for a little more than than the title as friends but you are getting a bit ahead of yourself. The love-starved part of your brain taking in the slightest bit.
Now that you had plans to go out in the afternoon, you decided getting out of bed right now would be the best option based on what time it already is. Already thinking about what could be a really good breakfast before you do your whole morning routine since everybody has to take care of themselves always.
Tumblr media
11 pm was finally rolling around the corner so you decided it was time to shower, get changed, and get ready, the holy trio before going out.
Since Jungkook had mentioned that you could dress semi-formal or smart casual, you had opted for an outfit that perfectly suited the activity in mind. The outfit consist of an oversized gray sweater on top a white dress shirt, color out of course. You wore dar brown slacks with a black belt and your set of black men’s heeled dress shoes, you were dressing to impress with this outfit. Boosting your self confidence isn't gonna hurt anyone.
After putting everything on and very very very light makeup, mostly just to hide your eyebags, you were finally ready to go out to the bistro. The bistro in question not exactly suitable for a walk, since the distance between the bistro itself and your home was quite far, you decided to go through the metro and commute like a good citizen (and non-driving student)
After a few staircases underground and into the underground metro station, you were in the train on the same route to your bistro. The ride was going to be a bit long, being around 20-30 minutes so you decided to take a look at your surroundings as you leaned on a pole in the train.
Looking around, you found a few hybrids and non-hybrids conversing, them seemingly being in one big group but that wasn't what caught your attention, what caught your attention was a lone gray wolf hybrid sitting on one of the seats.
Noone had taken the seats next to him as if they were scared but what the wolf was currently doing was far from intimidating, same goes for the aura he was emitting. Looking at him, you judged him to be close to 6 feet, with nice and smooth looking black hair that reached his nape. He had rosy lips with sharp eyes as if they were of a dragons but all his attention was on the book in his hands. He was dressed in a comfortable yet smart casual attire, with the color scheme being browns and grays.
You could've looked at him for ages, he looked very peaceful yet gorgeous at the same time. Something in you felt like it wanted to gravitate towards him, want to talk to him maybe. So you did, being an impulsive person you are.
You took the seat next to him and took a small peek to what he could be reading. When you felt his eyes on you, you looked up from the book and to his face. His beauty upclose was completely unmatched comapred to your view earlier.
He greeted you with a soft and polite smile, not really minding the fact that you sat next to him but more so confused on the reason why.
"Ah, you just seemed like a very warm person to talk to, I hope I'm not disturbing you too much, I'm Y/N, a bunny hybrid" You start the conversation, sticking your hand towards him even while sitting down.
The wolf maneuvered his book to be stable enough to be held on one hand before taking your hand and shaking it.
"I'm Namjoon, a Gray wolf, and no you're not, I find your presence quite nice actually." He said while closing his book and setting it on his lap, setting all his attention on you.
"Where are you headed to, if you don't mind me asking?" You asked with a curious glint in your eyes, honestly you were confused where your social confidence came from but it was honestly welcomed.
"I'm just heading to the library to check out some books, potentially borrowing a few to take home if I spot a few interesting ones." Namjoon answered with a grin.
"That's really neat, what’s the title and plot of the book you were reading?"
"Oh, it was a philosophy novel by Osamu Dazai called 'No Longer Human', the main plot is about a guy caught in a crossfire between a breakup of Japanese aristocrats and western influence, it really shows you another outlook and perspective on what life is and what could be. It really depicts depression and anxiety really wel- Aishh, I'm rambling a bit, please forgive me." He said embarrassed, his eyes now looking at the floor with a hand scratching the back of his neck while a rose tint is on his cheeks.
You honestly found Namjoon adorable, though he is a predator, his personality and hobby seem far from it, if you didn't see his ears and tail, you would've honestly mistaken him for a full-human. Hybrids did seem to have a part of their animal somewhere in their personality, maybe this was just one of many sides from Namjoon. You couldn't wait to find out more from him.
"I'd love to check it out sometime, if you don't mind, how about we exchange numbers?" You suggested with a hopeful smile, a bit flustered with your request but you were going to shoot your shot nontheseless.
"Oh sure, here you go"
And that's how you ended up talking to Namjoon until you got to your stop, sadly bidding him farewell before getting off the train and making your way to the Bistro.
Tumblr media
Now at the bistro, you waited outside the building to check your phone for messages from either of the two predators.
Jungkook 🐺 at 11:50 am: we're at a table at the corner sweets
Jungkook 🐺 at 11:51 am: i've got a black coat on and Jimin-shi has a turtleneck
Jungkook 🐺 at 11:51 am: if you can't find us, don't be scared to call me
After taking in the information, you finally walk into the restaurant and look around at the numerous tables of humans and hybrids alike, waiters and waitresses walked around with trays or taking orders. After a few minutes of scanning, you luckily found the predator duo with unfamiliar hybrid. Jimin was sat with his back towards the wall,  in front of him were Jungkook and the other hybrid that were both faced away from you.
You walked towards the table, Jimin had seen you and you caught the way his eyes lit up with a grin breaking out on his lips. His bread cheeks showing and his eyes barely visible.
The other two hybrids saw his reaction and were quick to look beside them, seeing you standing next to the table with a soft smile.
While the hybrids were just taking in your presence, you took this as your chance to examine the apppearance of their friend.
He had dirty blonde hair with black roots, looking fluffy and messy, but it fit him very well. He also had cat-like eyes, probably a bi-product from his hybrid, part snow leopard. His lips were just as blushy red and soft-looking as the two other predators. His outfit seemed to reflect his laid-back and calm attitude, sporting a plain white shirt underneath a black bomber jacket, jeans and some plain sneakers.
The other two had noticed your oogling and looked at eachother with a questioning look.
"Come here bunny, Take a seat next to me before we introduce you to our friend." Jimin patting the empty seat next to him which you happily took.
"So, this is Yoongi, a snow leopard that lives with us." Jungkook introduced you to him, Yoongi being sat in front of you. "Then this cute bunny is Y/N, Jimin's fellow ballet classmate."
"It's nice to meet you Y/N. I hope we get along well, yeah?" Yoongi put his hand across the table for you to shake, him sporting a smirk.
His voice wasn't exactly what you'd expect from his soft and sugar-sweet like appearance. His voice was deep, a slight noticeable accent in the way he pronounced his words. It was pleasant to the ears, it could potentially put you to slee if it weren't for the current environment.
You finally took his hand, and shook it. Your foot lightly thumping on the ground in excitement. "Back at you, Yoongi."
Yoongi admired the way his name rolled off your tongue, your voice like a melody from one of his songs, your voice was soft and kind, he could tell you were a very sweet and kind hybrid.
Jimin wrapped his tail around your waist, you snapped your neck to him in exasperation, shocked at the action. "What would you like to order, cutie?" He asked with a smirk.
He didn't miss the way your foot thumping had quicked, same as your heartbeat. He could also see a rose red bloom on your cheeks. You quickly averted your gaze, hands fumbling on the menu that was on the table to look at the options, also to hide your embarrassed face from the panther.
"The veggie pasta would be good! With a lemonade! Thankyou!!!"
Jimin laughed at your adorable reaction, the other two were amused at you, with each word you say they could feel themselves falling more and more in love. As if there was a magnetic pull..

NEW GREENIE '1'
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sound of whispers and beeping noise make you stir in your unconsciousness state, eyes blurry you see people move around. Your body felt weakened as you try to move.
“Does she have to?” a voice asked, a male voice that’s much clear as the face of the said was blurry
“Yes, it’s for the best “the feminine said as new image come in your vision, you try to voice but the sore throat didn’t allow it.
Something stings in your arm as robotic voice announced “INITIATEING MEMORY ERASE” suddenly everything went black.
Loud alarms rings as you fully starts to awake.
“WICKED IS GOOD”
that was last thing you hear before you felt like you’re moving in some type of carrier, eyes adjusting in the darkness you move around, you are in some kind of box as go up with there is boxes around you. The box stared to go up really fast you automatically hold on the boxes around you. Fear filled you mind, suddenly its stop the turbulence make you hit your head to one of the boxes that you holding onto. You groan in pain, a bright light hit your face and someone jump into the box, you back yourself against the box at entry of this unknown person.
“Rise and shin…. wait…. you’re a girl?” the guy said at his word the murmuring of crowd get louder
“A what?”
“Really?... a girl now?”
“Is she pretty?”
“It’s going to be fun”
“What you mean a girl? Is there no food or supplies in there?”
You puzzled at the comments get angered as well scared, did the not seen a girl before? Who is these people? What is this place? Why are you here?
“SHUT IT” a voice command and everyone fall silent, “greenie call Namjoon”
“I’m not the greenie anymore…...fine” you don’t need to see that who ever said shouted was some sort of leader and later one obviously obeyed the command
 “Gally back up she must be afraid let her come out herself” the same voice said but it didn’t have any emotion it almost felt detached and cold.
You look at the guy Infront of you, he gives an encouraging node before backing up, slowly you also come out. Compared to the box coldness and darkness its entirely opposite, the sun was bright and you already could feel sweat building up, but that’s not what you thinking, who the hell are these boys, why aren’t there any other girls?
In fear you didn’t hear what the guy said, one Infront of you was saying something his face blank  messy black hair, worn out clothes with mud stains here and there, cat like eyes and some really nice hands if that’s man is beautiful the one next one is blinding beauty same kind of clothes and unruly hair tall compared to the first one, and he is unfairly perfect head to toe even with sweats droplets on his forehead you could look both of them for eternity but it was not the right time. when the shorter one starts to take a closer step that’s when finally, the adrenaline kicks in you bolt out of there like your life depends on it.
“We got a runner” someone from the crowd cheered as the boy’s chant along, you didn’t look back you search for an exit that’s when you see giant opening, without thinking you run towards it there is no cheering now that’s when you heard someone behind you catching up to you making you look back you see a boy catching up to pretty fast, suddenly you are tackled by someone from the front you both fall back towards the boy who is in back the three you collide with each other you start to kick and throw hands at them some you hits was successfully delivered as they groan.
“Clam down, we are not going to hurt you” one of them said as you thrash around as the other try to get your hands that gripping his hair, for minute he thought he would go bald at the strength you gripped his hair he needs a haircut.
“Get off me” you gritted your teeth. The two boys look at each other before laying on top you “get off me… you’re crushing me”
“Will you promise us you won’t run” you shit and move around but none of that seems to work.
“Everything alright Taehyung?” a new voice said as you three looks to side to see two more guys coming towards you
Taehyung looks down at you “are we cool now?”
You sigh before nodding and slowly taehyung and other get off you, slowly you stand up panting from the all running the opening is just few meters away you can make it, the two other guys a few feet’s away from the three of you.
The one who now you know is taehyung is closer to you, panting next you, before he can catch his breath you kick him where you know hurts the others eyes goes wide you took of running again as he shouts “THAT’S IS NOT COOL”
Namjoon’s and yoongi’s eyes wide when you kick taehyung where they know damn very well will hurt. Namjoon was prepared for the new greenie’s arrival but this not what he expected, when Jungkook came running saying the new greenie is girl, he thought he is messing with him, but Jungkook never do anything like that unless you are jin or other gladers.
He doesn’t know how deal with you, he doesn’t know if he ever talked to any girls before ending up in the maze. He knows it won’t be easy and you just proved his thoughts right.
Before you at the opening a set of arms reach around your waist lifting you off the ground making you yelp and you’re tossed over someone’s shoulder. You thrash around his hold but the guys seem to have no effect as he easily walks off with you over his shoulder.
“Put me down” you hit his back but still no reaction from him, you sigh in defeat as he continued on his path. Jungkook watch Namjoon take you away effortlessly with amazement lazed eyes and wide smile, Namjoon is so cool. he thinks
“Forgive me for this” he said confused you lift your head and suddenly your tossed to ground, you crash down there roughly. You look around and realize that its some kind of pit. “You can come up when you are clam down” he said before leaving
Namjoon leader of the glade walk back to where yoongi, second in command stand with taehyung and greenie… Jungkook stands.
“You alright there?” he asks taehyung
“I will live” taehyung said pained smile
Yoongi gives him grin “will you? she kicked you pretty hard”
Seokjin keeper of cooks walks towards them with Jimin keeper of med- jack, gally keeper of builders also along with him.
“You got enough supplies?” the leader asks them
They node while gally cross his arms Infront of his chest “does it seems odd to you that, the new greenie is a girl”
“That is sexist” seokjin said with furrowed eyebrow
Gally roll his eyes before glancing back the pit where you in and back to Namjoon “why would they send a girl now?”
Namjoon node “its matter to be discussed we don’t know what the people outside is planning”
“Maybe she is last one or something” Jimin said before gasping “maybe human race is going to extinct, maybe she was sent so we can increase the population”
Everyone looks at him with concern and confusion taehyung lean towards him “did you not know she just kicked me in the balls”
Jimin’s eyes goes wide at the new information “she did what?!”
Yoongi gives him a smug grin “maybe she didn’t like him, why don’t you go and try?”
 “I like my balls thank you very much” Jimin look at taehyung “can you still feel it?” he got a node from taehyung
Namjoon shoulders falls in exhaustion “guys focus” once he has their attention he continues “here is what’s going to happen, taehyung you take rest, yoongi and Jungkook you take care the greenie once she calms down bring her to me. once the runners back we discuss farther”
You don’t know how may hours passed, the sounds of footsteps coming towards you, as you sit silently on the floor.
“Do you still want to kick the life out of us, greenie?” one of the boys ask, it’s the same voice and when the guys are reveled your assumption is correct it is one the short boy, along with one of the boys who tackled you.
You let loud sigh before questioning them “who are you? Why am I here?”
Yoongi gives you blank stare as you dismiss his question and Jungkook answer you “well my name is Jungkook and this is yoongi second in command” Jungkook smile at the confused frown on your face you’re just like him when he first came but he was rather emotionally distraught than violent “first day is confusing for everyone, greenie”
There that name again what that supposed mean did they misunderstood for someone its sounds like a code name you slowly shake your head “I’m not this greenie you talking about I am………”
A sudden panic hit you when you couldn’t voice your name??with wide eyes you stand up hands shaking mouth hanging a lump in your throat as you try to say your name. you supposed to remember your name weren’t you then why can’t you.
Jungkook eyes looked pain as well as yoongi they all go through the same roller coaster, questioning everything everyone. Yoongi quickly changes his face cade into a stoic one “clam down greenie, you are just like everyone is here” you glance at yoongi with narrowed eyes still not fully trustful of them
“But she is a girl” Jungkook adds, Yoongi closes his eyes for minute. You walk towards them eyes focused on yoongi
“What do you mean? Why can’t I remember anything?”
“Hold all the questions on pause Namjoon will answer it” yoongi state seeing the puzzled look he adds “Namjoon is the leader, the one who put you in here. Now if I open this will you promise not to kick anyone and not run away?”
You slowly node and he held out his hand you glance at both of them Jungkook give you an encouraging smile, you hesitantly place your hand on yoongi and the later help you out of the pit
“Jungkook will take you to Namjoon” yoongi said before walking off
As you and Jungkook walk you see so many boys watch the two of you. Jungkook shyly glance at you time to time not in creepy way but in complete curiosity.
That’s two legs that’s a nice thigh you have hips that’s have little swings do all women/ girls walk like that hands look soft its smaller than mine. Breasts, is it just like mine? Or is it look like Namjoon’s or does she have more underneath.
“What are you looking at?” you ask crossing your arms over your chest
Panicked Jungkook look away “nothing” he speed walk towards where Namjoon was standing “Hyung” he calls out making Namjoon node at walk towards the both of you.
Namjoon raised a suspicious look at his flustered face before he gives you a smile “you doing good greenie?”
You throw your head back a loud sing escapee you “why do you call me that? What is this? place who are you people? Why can’t remember my name?”
Namjoon patiently gives you a node “I will tell everything, come on walk with me” he turns to Jungkook and node at him silently requesting him leave he does and node at both of you without looking at your eyes.
You and Namjoon walks “firstly let me introduce myself, I am Namjoon, Kim Namjoon leader of the gladers. I was just like you when I first came, everyone is. no one remember the anything about themselves. Your name will come to you later. Just like you a new greenie come up the box with all the supplies we need every month. before you came Jungkook and now you are our green bean."
“Who sent us here? Why are there no other girls?”
“Who sent us here? We don’t know. They only let us keep us our name. And for the last we just puzzled as you are” he sighs when you shift in your place “but that doesn’t mean you’re less than everyone here. We will keep you safe” you looked still uncertain “I promise you that no one will hurt you here.”

BTS Reaction To You Getting Flustered
I’m not sure how well the writing is going to be in this post, I’m really writing this at 1 AM so I’m a little out of it. Anyways I just thought about this after watching a video of BTS being hilarious on interviews, so I said why not?
Some of these are going to be very long so I hope you don’t mind. And I really apologize for any cringy writing.
Seokjin
“Seokjin!” You squeaked as he pressed a kiss to your forehead and wrapped you up in his arms, practically carrying you to the couch so you two could snuggle.
You, becoming immensely shy, started to pull away, unable to meet his gaze, but he grabbed your hand to prevent you from leaving.
“Aish, where are you trying to go Y/N?” Seokjin pouted, suddenly doing an aegyo that made your cheeks redden. When you pulled away again Seokjin whined in a playful voice, “Jagi stop pulling away from me. Talk to me baby - I know you’re gushing over just how handsome I am so how are you supposed to see me if you’re looking away?”
“D-dinner, Jin.” You managed to choke out. “Dinner.”
“Yes what about it?”
Finally you managed to wriggle free and hurried to the kitchen, busying yourself with finishing the remaining uncooked food. Jin’s gaze burned at the back of your neck, but you didn’t dare look at him.
“It’ll be ready in a second.”
“Baby…” Jin trailed off, hurt clear in his voice when you didn’t respond to his call. All he’d wanted to do was make you smile but it seemed as though he’d only made you mad.
It was only when you turned to grab some celery off the counter that he noticed how shy you’d become. Then it dawned on him.
Jin leaped up and hurried over. Startled, you whirled around about to reiterate what you’d said before, but he was already cupping your face and gently rubbing your cheek with his thumb whilst a soft smile spread across his face, complimenting his already godly facial features.
You were a mess. You were a red tomato and too shy to look him in the eyes - or to even open your mouth and utter a single word, for the matter. Seokjin tried to get you to look at him, but that was too much for you to handle. “I-I have to make dinner,” You stammered, trying to find a way to excuse yourself. But Seokjin wasn’t having any of it.
“Y/N, look at me.” He said gently, and finally you lifted your chin to meet his imploring gaze, only becoming redder. “Baby you don’t have to be shy around me, hm?”
You nodded timidly. “I-I know but I can’t help it. I’m sorry.”
“Nonsense.” Seokjin immediately replied. “You don’t need to apologize.”
He didn’t ever want you to feel so shy around him that you felt like you couldn’t speak. He just wanted to cuddle and pamper you.
After a moment you let Seokjin guide you back to the couch and onto his lap, dinner forgotten, and began cuddling. Seokjin ran his fingers through your hair and you let your head rest against his chest briefly, closing your eyes and allowing a peace to wash over you. The two of you laid like this for a while, you finally calm and Seokjin beaming because he could cuddle you.
But then you felt a warm breath against your ear and Seokjin whispering mischievously,
“You’re lucky you’re so cute baby; I only stopped because tonight I’m going to tease you so much that you won’t even remember your own name.”
And then the whole process of you trying to run away started all over again.
Agh, that boy is going to drive you crazy.
Yoongi
“Here,” you said a little a little nervously, leaving the sticky notes that were filled with the lyrics you’d written. Yoongi had wanted to test your music making skills, so he’d practically begged you to write a song for him and you’d finally agreed, much to your own doubts. “I’m not sure if it’s good or not.”
“I’m sure its amazing, Y/N.” Yoongi said almost instantaneously, immediately reaching over to flip through the sticky notes and beckoning for you to sit in the chair opposite of him. As you took a seat and reached for you phone, already stressing about how awful the lyrics you’d written were going to be, Yoongi suddenly whirled around and stared at you with wide eyes.
“W-what is it?” You said, looking back at him and then to the sticky notes.
“Y/N,” he said, “these are wonderful.” And then he was all over you, patting your head and showing his iconic gummy smile, showering you in countless compliments. “What other hidden talents do you have?”
You blushed and pulled away, hiding your face from his view. Yoongi paused, confused by your reaction and also a little annoyed. Didn’t you want your work to be praised?
“It’s nothing.” You mumbled. “I’m sure they’re pretty bland compared to yours.”
For a couple of moments, Yoongi didn’t say anything. He was just silent, and you began to worry that you’d upset him somehow. But you were still so flustered from all of his compliments that you didn’t have the courage to look up to see his reaction.
“Jagi,” Yoongi finally said, bending down. He tilted his head so he could look into your eyes, but you quickly turned around, covering your face with your palm. And suddenly your reaction made so much sense to him. He wouldn’t admit it, but he found your shyness to be so cute and wasted no time on teasing you about it. “Aww, don’t be so shy. Your so cute like this, I didn’t know anyone’s face could turn so red.”
At that you cringed inwardly and buried your face into your palms. At this point it would be better to melt into a puddle, you concluded.
“Don’t hide cutie, I promise I won’t poke fun to badly~”
As Yoongi peelef your hands away from your face, he felt pride surge through him and vowed to show the rest of the boys your work later. He gently rubbed circles into your back to calm you. He didn’t want you to feel shy, but he loved how flustered you’d become. I mean - your entire face was burning up and you couldn’t even utter a single word.
After Yoongi helped you calm down, he mused, “You know, I might need you to write some more songs for me”
You giggled, still a bit flustered from his earlier comments. “I don’t know, if your just going to tease me about it then I don’t see the point.”
“The point is to get that adorable little flustered face of yours, that’s the point cutie.”
“Stop it!”
“Stop what?” Yoongi leaned forward and gave you his gummy smile, making you dissolve into flustered giggles.
“Aww, look at my baby getting so shy again, how adorable~”
Hoseok
“Are you alright, jagi?” Hoseok asked, immediately picking up on your foul mood as you came home from work.
You sighed tiredly, rubbing your temples as you took off your shoes and hung your coat up in the closest. You didn’t reply as you walked over to the living room and threw yourself onto the couch, closing your eyes.
Hoseok hurried to finish washing the dishes and then came to join you on the couch. He wanted to cuddle you and hold your hand to soothe you, but you rejected all of his affection, far too worked up and restless. So instead Hoseok settled for slinging one of his arms around you shoulders.
“Bad day?” He asked.
“Sorta.” You replied tightly.
“Do I need to go yell at anyone?”
“No, it’s okay.”
At your exasperation, Hoseok backed off a little, opting to turn on the TV and go grab some snacks and a blanket for the two of you to share.
When he returned, he draped the blanket over you and set the snacks down on the coffee table. He hoped that some food would and a warm blanket help you feel better, coupled with his cuddles.
As the movie dragged on late into the night, the two of you wolfing down the snacks within a few minutes, you found yourself calming down and feeling guilty about being so short-tempered with Hoseok. Looking over, you saw that Hoseok had his arms folded in his lap and head drooping to the side, eyes closed and breath gentle.
You watched him for awhile. The temptation to cuddle him was starting to overwhelm you, but you hesitated, not wanting to disturb his sleep as you knew it was something that Hoseok rarely got enough of. After a while, you finally surrendered to your own temptations and slowly inched closer until you could lean your head against his chest and wrap your hands around his shoulders. Sighing gently, you closed your eyes and listened to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
After a few moments, Hosoek suddenly wrapped his arm around you and patted your head. You looked up to see a huge grin spreading across his face.
“You are so cute jagi.” He cooed, and you blushed. “I didn’t know I was your personal stress ball.”
Flustered, you pulled back and said quite shyly, “Sorry Hobi, I couldn’t help it.”
He smiled at you. “I know you can’t resist this beautiful face, sweetie.” At your sudden flushed state, he chuckled and teased, “Aww, is someone getting shy? I didn’t know you were part tomato.”
“Oh be quiet!” You looked away, a smile rising to your cheeks.
“Just look at this beautiful smile!” Hoseok exclaimed, poking your cheeks. “My, baby you are so precious!”
At his continued teasing, you pulled away and pouted, “I just wanted to snuggle you. Why are you being so mean all the sudden?”
“And snuggle me you shall!” Hoseok declared, pulling you back into him.
As Hoseok pulled you into his arms, you let out a giggle as he continued to poke fun at you and shower you with praise. The night ended with him teasing you and trying to get your tomato face on camera so he could send it to the rest of Bangtan.
Man, did he adore the hell out of you.
Namjoon
“Y/N?” Namjoon called softly as he stepped into the apartment. He knew you liked to work well into the night, and sometimes loud noises startled you if you were to engrossed with your thoughts.
Hearing him call your name, you quickly responded from the next room over, completely forgetting about your sketchbook sprawled on your desk and flipped open to the page you’d just spent hours working on. When Namjoon walked into the room, you were already on your feet and throwing your arms around his shoulders.
“Aww jagi did you miss me?” Namjoon cooed, welcoming the embrace. You blushed and buried your face in his chest to hide yourself, just wanting to be near him as exhaustion finally settled over you. Unfortunately for you, Namjoon had spotted your sketchbook and asked, “What’s that?”
“Hm?” In your sleepy state, you were a bit slow to realize that Namjoon had inched towards the desk to take a peek at your sketchbook. It was only when he said, “Oh wow jagi, did you draw this? It’s so beautiful baby, just like you. You never told me you were such an amazing artist.”
And suddenly you were wide awake. Namjoon’s compliment had you red as a tomato. Flustered, you immediately pried it away from his hands and flipped the sketchbook closed, tossing it carelessly away whilst stammering, “I-It’s nothing Joon. Just forget you even-I mean, uh, can we just talk about something…you know I got these new shoes today?”
Namjoon stared back at you, shocked by your reaction. You had turned around and were trying to look very busy inspecting your shoes, your eyes landing everywhere but on him. Stepping around you, he went to ask if you were quite alright, wondering if he’d accidentally stumbled upon something that was near and dear to you, but then he noticed how red your face was and that you were trying your hardest to ignore him. Oh how adorable you were, Namjoon couldn’t help but giggle at your reaction.
“Is my little sunflower getting shy?” Namjoon teased lightly, crushing you in a hug, chuckling at your squeals of embarrassment. “Your work is so beautiful, why don’t you show it off more often?”
When you were so flustered that you couldn’t respond with an intelligent response and hid your face in your hands, Namjoon lightly grabbed your hands and pulled them away from your face, titling your chin up until you had to look at him.
“Don’t hide from me, jagi~” He hummed, reaching for your sketchbook.
“Namjoon don’t-”
“Don’t what? I want to see what else you’ve drawn.” Ignoring your squeaks of protest, he started to flip through all of your most recent sketches, meanwhile you were reddening every time he made a compliment or opened up to a new page. “I’ve never seen you so flustered before. Your just so adorable I might use this as an advantage to see that cute smile of yours every now and then”
“Stop it! You’re so mean!”
“You’re just so cute I can’t help it~”
And indeed did Namjoon exploit this little discovery. He thought it was adorable how flustered you got over this one incident, and soon learned that compliments and affection were enough to make you red in the face and squeal and pout, something that made him incredibly happy.
Jimin
“Comfortable?” Jimin asked quietly, shifting on the couch so you had more room.
“Yes.” You replied, letting yourself lean against his shoulder. “You make a great cushion.”
Jimin chuckled and flashed you a smile that sent your heart fluttering. “Good to know.”
He grabbed the remote and pressed play, the excitement evident on his face. You on the other hand were a little nervous. Jimin had finally convinced the other boys to let you stay for a sleepover, and had suggested watching scary movies all night to see who could go the longest without being scared.
But now you were regretting agreeing, especially considering this was only your “second date” with him.
As the time ticked by, you found yourself beginning to become more relaxed. Jimin had slung his arm around your neck, and you felt completely safe with him. To both of your surprise, the two of you were doing pretty well.
That was until a particularly startling jump scare occurred and you nearly flew out of your seat, grabbing Jimin’s hand without thinking and smothering him in a bear hug.
Jimin startled as he felt your viselike grip coupled with you suddenly wrapping your arms around him and burying your face in his shoulder. He blushed but didn’t say anything, both flustered and unsure of how to handle the situation.
After a few moments you dared to open your eyes, breathing heavily. And then you froze as you realized that you were clutching his hand and practically suffocating him, beginning to turn redder than an apple. The two of you stared uncertainly at each other for a couple of minutes.
“I’m sorry!” You yelped as soon as you steeled yourself, pulling away and becoming flustered as apologies tumbled out of your mouth.
“It’s okay.” Jimin replied quickly, running his fingers through his own hair and looking away. “I don’t mind. It was cute.”
Again you froze. “Y-you didn’t mind?”
Jimin shook his head. “No.” He wouldn’t admit it but he actually loved it when you hugged him. “When you’re scared you’re actually really adorable. I’m not sure exactly sure how you do it but you manage to pull it off.”
Embarrassed, you ducked your head and let out a mortified squeak. Jimin noticed and took a moment to look at you. And then a mischievous grin spread across his face.
“Wow Y/N, I didn’t know you could be so cute.” He cooed, his voice so soft that it was more like a loving purr. Jimin practically had hearts as eyes as he reached over and grabbed your face. “No need to act all shy now love. You’re just a little ball of nerves aren’t you sweetie?”
You giggled shyly as he booped your nose and pushed your hair back so he could look into your eyes.
“S-stop teasing me.” You pouted, scrunching up your nose. “It’s not fair.”
“Everything’s fair when it comes to this beauty you see right here, jagi. And there’s nothing you can do about it! I find that really adorable.”
And now he really had you blushing as he gave you a dazzling smile. You were a puddle of giggles and squeaks as he proceeded to tease you further, only stopping when you couldn’t talk from just how giggly you’d gotten.
Taehyung
“Aegyo or aegyo?” Taehyung asked, leaning closer to you so he could see your reaction. He thought it was more than adorable at the puzzled expression on your face.
“That’s the same thing!” You complained, already feeling a bit flustered at the way he kept beaming at you.
“Yes I know. I can’t have you choosing something else silly, I know you love my aegyo more than anything.”
Taehyung smiled cutely and you giggled into your hands, feeling your cheeks warm as he suddenly started to take pictures of you and coo over how adorable you were.
It seemed that just about anything could make you flustered, and Taehyung lived for it. He loved to tease you and make you giggle - he did it all the time and still claimed he wasn’t doing it intentionally.
That boy was going to be the death of you.
“Jagi why are you hiding?” Taehyung teased, pulling your hands away from your face. “You seem flustered all of the sudden and I’m just wondering why.”
“You know why!” You pouted, crossing your arms and refusing to look at him.
“Do I?” He asked innocently and pretended to think about it for a moment. “Hmm, I can’t seem to think of a reason why I guess you’ll just have to enlighten me.”
When you didn’t respond, Taehyung suddenly wrapped you up in his arms and said, “C’mere cutie.”
You didn’t think too much about it as he often did this. That is until he slipped his hands underneath your arms and started to poke your armpits.
“Taehyung stop it!” You giggled, swatting at his hands as he started tickling you.
“What?” He asked innocently, smirking as you flushed and tried to wiggle out of his arms, but he’d caught you in a strong embrace and didn’t plan on letting you escape.
You squeaked when he drew your heads closer together and started peppering you with ticklish kisses, his eyes glowing with adoration for you.
“Wow, you’re so red jagi! I know I’m cute but I didn’t know I could make you look so adorable with just one measly hug!”
Blushing and still laughing as his hands attacked your tummy, you closed your eyes and reluctantly relented, “Yes yes, fine you’re cute. That’s why I was so flustered before - happy?”
Chuckling, Taehyung stopped tickling you and let you relax, running his fingers through your hair. You let out a sigh of relief, allowing him to cuddle you.
“I’m sorry baby, but you know I only tease you so much because I love you right?”
“Yes I know.” You grumbled, although secretly you loved when Taehyung got into one of his playful moods. “You remind me every chance you get.”
He laughed and hummed in agreement, and the two of you fell asleep like that. Him laying on the couch with you bundled up in his arms.
Jungkook
“Kookie?” You called softly as you pushed your way into the dimly light room, trying not to drop the tray of food.
A second later you heard,
“I’m in my office!”
And turned to glance at the small, windowed room that housed Jungkook’s music studio, where, lately, Jungkook had disappeared to often as he was getting ready to go on tour with the boys.
Sighing, you carefully picked your way through the messy living room and opened the door to his studio. Notebooks were scattered all over the desk, and papers were strewn across the floor. Some of the recording equipment had been shoved quite carelessly against the back of the wall, and the cabinets were overflowing with writing utensils, water bottles, sticky notes, and other items. Small posters hung around the room, reminders, schedules, dates, and times scribbled all over them.
And Jungkook himself was bent over his computer, all his attention fixed on the screen.
Sighing again and wondering to yourself how Jungkook even managed to find his shoes in the morning, you carefully set the tray down on a mini table next to the side of the door, and went to tap Jungkook on the shoulder.
“Kookie, I made you some lunch.” You told him, briefly glancing at the computer screen to see that he was over viewing what the schedule for the arrival of the tour date would be like.
“Thank you Y/N but I’m busy.” Jungkook said without looking at you. “Maybe pack it away for later?”
You frowned, reaching over to run your fingers through his hair. “But Kook you need to eat. How will you preform on an empty stomach?”
“I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again.”
“That’s not healthy.”
Finally, Jungkook paused and turned around in his chair, looking up at you. “I have to-” And abruptly he froze.
Alarm shoot through you. “What’s wrong?” Following his gaze, you noticed that he was staring at the tray. Unease flitted through your veins. “Do you not like it?”
Silence spread between you and Jungkook. His mouth had dropped and was fully agape, staring wordlessly at the lunch you’d prepared for him. As you opened your mouth to ask if he didn’t like it and would rather just order takeout, Jungkook suddenly sprang to his feet and wrapped you up in his arms, pressing a kiss to your forehead. He relaxed against you and rested his head on your shoulder, a sigh escaping his lips.
Dumbfounded, you craned your head around to look at him. “Kook?”
“Y/N baby its perfect and so thoughtful.” He mumbled into your shoulder. “Thank you so much, I love you.”
At that, you blushed and turned your head away, suddenly growing shy at his compliment.
“I-I love you too, Jungkook.” You whispered back. As he held you, you became more and more red. “It’s nothing really - I just thought you might be hungry.”
Jungkook finally pulled away and looked at you, surprised to see how red you’d turned. “Jagi why is your face so red?”
You blushed even more. “I just wasn’t expecting you to do that.” You mumbled, not specifying what you were talking about. Jungkook raised his eyebrow. “It was so unexpected, like when you bring me roses.”
“I think your the rose.” He teased lightly, grinning.
“Oh hush,” You huffed, placing your hands on your hips. “You would be the rose in an instant if I so much as grabbed you hand.”
And now it was Jungkook’s turn to flush. You immediately pounced on the opportunity to tease the maknae and lifted yourself onto your toes, poking his cheek.
“Now look who’s getting all red.” You teased, bringing your heads closer. Jungkook let out a shy laugh and tried to pull away, but you wrapped your arms around his shoulders. “Bunny, you think you’re so tough don’t you? I can see right through you though, you big baby.”
Giggling adorably and flushing red, Jungkook suddenly cupped your face in his hands and replied. “Of course I’m tough! Have you seen my muscles?” He then proceeded to start calling you endearing terms like honey and cutie whist flexing off his muscles, making you flush. “See? You can’t hide from this bunny cutie.”
-
I don’t know if this is good or not. I just stayed up half the night writing this, hated it and thought about rewriting the entries, then decided to suck it up and just finish it the next day. Sorry if it’s not written well, I was really losing my mind writing this.

In All Lifetimes - Second Life Part 2 of 3
Tumblr media
Featuring this chaotic soulmates preview:
“I’m telling you, Tae. A dance-off can solve all the world’s problem!”
Taehyung, who you observed to be more argumentative than normal only when his age-mate, Jimin, was in vicinity, scoffed in disbelief. It was apparent from where you were that Jimin was obviously egging Taehyung as evidenced by the naughty glint in his eyes, and Taehyung was never the wiser as he got caught on his bait.
“Wow,” he noted with mock astonishment, “I am so embarrassed for you. That was the most idiotic thing I ever heard anyone say in my entire life that it’s making me physically sick.”
“And how is a fashion show better than my dance-off battle?” Jimin asked for an elaboration. The corner of his mouth quirked up, an indication that he was having the most fun of his life as he watched his friend became more and more agitated.
“Because!” Taehyung started, walking around the table to resort to physical violence as Jimin chuckled. He was walking backwards as he watched Taehyung marched to him. “You cannot argue with someone who’s better dressed than you! It’s simply impossible. You will lose!”
“If that’s the case, then I already won this round, Taetae,” Jimin’s eyebrows wiggled before running around the table for his life.

Pairing: ot7 x reader
Genre: Fluff, hurt/ comfort , Omegaverse
Synopsis: The pack seems to be falling for you but Jungkook doesn't like it one bit. What happens when he learns you are his mate
Tumblr media
You avoid the boys by staying at home. You don't tell your mom so as to not bother her.
Instead you crash at your best friends house. Yun Suyeon was a beta with an alpha mom (you had bonded over 'are all alpha mom's the same?' ) and you had been friends for a long time.
Suyeon though finds it a bit strange but doesn't comment on it and commits on spending more time with you.
"Are you excited for the college fest." She asks.
"I dont know."
"You should. Why don't you try for the Coordination. I'm in hospitality. Lim Suho is one of the heads and Kang Taehee is another they need more people."
While normally you would probably not consider such an intensive position but it didn't seem like a bad idea to drown in work.
"Isn't it kinda too much work?"
"Yes but you get certificates and stuff." She replies. "That's why I've volunteered for the social media head."
"Fine. Where do I sign up."
"Wait let me send you the link." She said.
After you submitted the form. Suyeon's pack mom bought snacks for the both of you.
You thanked her.
"It's nice to see you too. Come hang out with our pup more often." She says.
You nod politely.
"Don't stay up too late." She says as she leaves.
Suyeon hugs you squealing in excitement.
"We are going to be the coolest kids on the block." She says.
She notes you have put on scent cleaners. But before she can say anything about it. Her phone rings her boyfriend asking to hang out. She informs him she's infact with her wifey and thus is not available.
Tumblr media
You dress nicely in the morning as today was the team meeting between the coordinaters.
There were four of you. Though you didn't know who the fourth was because their number wasn't saved on your phone but you were added to like 5 different groups.
After the classes were over you all had decided to meet at a coffee shop to discuss. Suho who the teachers had declared the main guy was the one who would bridge between the teachers and you all and you would look over and communicate with heads of all the other committees like decor, entertainment etc.
Suho was a beta and Taehee was an omega like you. The third member was Choi Yeonjun, an alpha.
You thought he was cute. You texted the same to Suyeon.
S: he's soobins bestie
S: should I arrange a double date
Y/n: noooo ... I'm just happy with eye candy
S: I mean let me know if you want a taste
Y/n: YUN SUYEON
S:😉😘😘😘
You had met at the campus and Yeonjun offered to drive you all to the cafe.
But Suho had his bike and Taehee had to go home for a change in clothes as someone dropped their drink on her.
So it ended up being you and Yeonjun.
"So ... what made you decide to coordinate? You always hide behind your bestfriend." He said.
"Just like that what about you?" You say.
"I like meeting new people. This is the best way to make it happen."
Their is silence.
"Can I turn on the radio?" You ask.
He does it for you.
It's nice not having too speak and the music is decent until Namjoon's favourite song starts playing and you abruptly turn it off.
"Is something wrong?" He asks.
Luckily the cafe is in sight.
"No just like that.. the cafe is here." You say changing the topic.
He nodded and the others joined you shortly. You soent an hour discussing themes and writing down important information.
"Let's have dinner together. Bonding night." Taehee suggested.
"I'm sorry I have prior engagement but I will pat the next time. You guys have fun." Suho says.
"Don't tell me you guys are busy too?" Taehee pouts.
"No I'm free and quite hungry." Yeonjun says.
"Me too." You add.
"Perfect!" Taehee exclaims and you guys go to a barbecue place.
You have a good time. Yeonjun takes it upon himself to serve. Its very alpha of him but you don't mind.
Taehee is good company too.
After your meals are over. Yeonjun offers to drop the two of you. You spend the ride discussing ideas and themes. Taehee is very excited for a more fantasy based one. Yeonjun wants a more party theme.
"Why don't we do it Russet inspired?" You ask.
Russet was a popular fashion magazine.
"That's super vague." Taehee comments.
"Exactly bur we can include different elements under one thing. And maybe people can wear things they already own instead of buying so it's sustainable."
"I would have never thought that." Taehee says.
"Yeah and we could get sponsorship from a fashion house or Paqsal Inc. ....they do charity galas to support initiatives like recycling and other sustainability endeavors."
"Let me text it to Suho. Let's run our ideas through the teachers. But the art department is going to be excited." She says. "We need to be very specific for the things to match and not be all over the place though."
"I'm sure we can do that we have like more than two months." Yeonjun adds.
Taehee's home is closer so she leaves and their is silence in the car.
"So?" You both say in order to ease the awkwardness.
You both laugh.
"It was genuinely a great idea." Yeonjun says.
"Thanks.. yours was nice too and probably easier to execute." You reply.
"All good things are hard work." Yeonjun replies as your house appears.
"Maybe.. but what if they aren't so great because they were too hard."
He shoots a concerned look towards your way but bites his lips.
Choosing instead to offer you a smile.
"See you later."
"Good bye, goodnight. See you later."
Tumblr media
Taehyung had come out to throw trash when he saw you coming out of the unknown alpha's car. How he knew it was an alpha? Well no omega or beta liked that type of flashy car.
He wants to call you out but he can't since Namjoon has decided they should give you space. He thought it would be a better approach even Yoongi had conceded.
The pack house wasn't the best place to be right now. Jin had left to see his family. He had been very sad and even Hobi was very restless and short these days. Jungkook was still stubborn. Namjoon was was working himself to death and Jimin was stuck to either Taehyung or Jungkook. Continuously scenting.
Taehyung was worried Jimin was taking this very personally but he could do nothing to help except do whatever Jimin felt like that.
When he had talked about this to Namjoon, he asked Taehyung to take Jimin and visit their family packs.
So they had planned a trip. Taehyung had to guilt trip Jimin a bit but Jimin did need to be babied a bit and nobody did that better then their family packs.
But before Taehyung left he would give Jungkook a little something to think because that boy had done enough hiding after rejecting his mate when she helped him out.
If you were Taehyung's mate he would never hurt you like this or let you be away from him unless you needed to.
When he comes inside the house. Jin is at the window looking outside towards you. He can see the longing in Jin's eyes.
He let's his hyung be and looks at him. Staying with his family has turned Jin chubbier and his face is glowing except for the expression on his face. Taehyung decides to change it.
"Jin Hyung !!! When did you come?" Taehyung says.
Jin is startled almost falls on the sofa beside the window but before he can recover himself Taehyung octopus hugs him causing him to fall.
"I will break my back you brat." He says but Taehyung smells no real anger. Thus Taehyung pays no heed scenting his beta.
"Can't you ask me before scenting me?" He says only half serious. In reality Jin missed his packs scents.
"No, my beautiful beta." Taehyung says muffled against his skin.
Jin laughs. Alerting Jimin who came out searching for Taehyung.
Jimin was glad to see a laughing Jin tackled by Taehyung. Jimin too joined the pile.
Just in time Namjoon came to witness the happy site. He planted kisses on their head and was going to leave when Taehyung pulled him too.
Maybe things were a bit rough but it would be fine as long as they were together.
Tumblr media
On the day they were leaving, Jimin was careful to scent Jungkook. Taehyung had gotten their bags and tickets. He entered the room where he observed Jimin sitting on Jungkook's lap. A flash of irritation arose.
"Jiminie." Taehyung called out.
"Yes Tae." Jimin asked.
"Go get ready. We have to leave soon." Taehyung informs Jimin flashing the train tickets.
Jimin nodded rubbing his scent on Jungkook for the last time before he left yo get ready.
" You're angry." Jungkook said scrunching his nose.
Taehyung wanted to agree but he also didn't want to fight.
"Why are you so mad? Shouldn't you be happy about going home.. are you worried about alpha's on the train."
"I kind of hate that part." Taehyung confessed but that wasn't what he had been actually bothered about but that was a concern too it had been a while since it was just him and Jimin usually one of the hyungs would accompany them. When they were younger Jimin had built enough muscles to pass off as a non omega, these days Taehyung pretended to be the non omega. Even though it was inconvenient he did secretly enjoy being able to protect Jimin as much he liked being coddled by his soulmate.
Taehyung sighed and let Jungkook scent him.
"I saw Y/n yesterday." Taehyung confessed. "She was with another alpha. It made me kind of thingies." Jungkook stiffened but did not say anything.
Taehyung sighed. Jimin and Hoseok had come back. Hoseok was driving them to the station.
Before they left Taehyung stopped by quickly into Namjoon's room who had an off from work today.
Namjoon's scented him and it made Taehyung feel better and he could finally enjoy the time in which he would have Jimin to himself.
Jungkook is stirring a cup of coffee in the kitchen when Namjoon comes down. Now awake.
"Wanna go on a date?" He asks Jungkook.
Who stops functioning for five minutes. Namjoon uses those to make himself a cup of coffee.
Jungkook knew Namjoon liked you when in his rut he could remember smelling Namjoon on you, so he thought Namjoon might ignore him to sort his feelings out.
"Ok..."
"Good!" Namjoon says smiling so brightly that his dimples start showing. He gives Kookie a kiss on his forehead mumbling something about outfits.
Namjoon comes out wearing all black hoping to match with Jungkook who had decided to go with the softer warmer colors in his wardrobe, Hobi who's sitting outside with Yoongi eating tangerines bursts out laughing when he sees them.
Namjoon smiles too when he realises what happened. Jungkook groans in embarrassment.
Jungkook starts the car as Namjoon sits in and puts on the safety belt.
"Where are we going, hyung?" Jungkook asks.
"I was thinking let's go to the beach, it's been a while."
Jungkook nodded and entered the location in the GPS. Namjoon played his 'driving' playlist.
The beach was fairly empty when they reached it.
They set up the little picnic basket and picnic mat they had bought near a tree.
After eating the sandwiches and drinking their beverages they lie next to each other staring at the sky. The breeze is lovely and the sound of wind comforting.
"I should have brought something to sketch." Jungkook tells Joon.
"Hmm." Namjoon acknowledges.
Jungkook cuddles closer to Namjoon. Its rare they have time together like this.
"Hyung... can I ask you something?" Jungkook asks and he hates to ruin the peaceful moment but his curiosity overcomes all.
"Of course kookie." Namjoon replies.
"Do you... you not like it that I've driven her away?"
Though he doesn't take your name Namjoon knows who he's talking about.
"I can't say I'm happy that our relationship is in strains but if I had to chose it will be you over Y/n. I know I may not say this often but I love you and I love our pack. This.. us. It means the world to me. Being pack alpha I want to be able to take care of all the packs needs and whatever the others may or may not feel about her she's your mate and I should apologise for bringing her to you in your rut but I won't because I couldn't see you suffering and as your hyung and your pack alpha I just couldn't bear to see you in distress or lacking."
"No you don't have to be sorry. I trust you hyung."
Namjoon ruffles Jungkook's hair.
"Why did you reject her, jungkook?"
"I didn't want her in the pack."
Namjoon nods.
"Remember when you joined the pack." Namjoon asks.
Jungkook nods. Ofcourse he does how does one not remember the best thing that happened to them.
"You know how most people avoid larger non familial packs. " Jungkook nods. " The reason we worked was all if us were in duos as friends before we decided to become a pack. Then we suffered in the transition. It isn't very easy to include more people in an already established dynamic. Then you came along like a Knight in shining armor. To be honest a part of me was jealous that even though I was a pack alpha I couldn't provide for my pack omega when a kid who didn't present did. But later I learnt that I couldn't be the sole provider and that it was ok not to be. Now I know this is something you lean and keep learning..Then came the part we decided to bring you to the pack. There were many concerns, your age, your presentation, uneven number of packmates. But you know who was the most willing to bring you in?" Namjoon prompted.
Jungkook shook his head no.
"It was Taehyung. He talked to me, convincing me. I even asked him if he was ok with no longer being a maknae. He was like Jiminie needs it hyung. And he was right but it also made me realise how cool our Tae is. Jimin is his soulmate and he didn't even care about jealousy or loosing Jimin. He just cared that Jimin be happy and healthy. I guess it did work out in the end that you could supplement each others need to be babied." Said Namjoon chuckling at the end.
"Taehyungie hyung told me he saw Y/n with someone."
"Aah." Namjoon drawled in understanding.
"I dont know how to feel about it." Jungkook said honestly.
"It's ok not to know. But if you think there's a possibility you want her then don't make her wait. "
"It's so tough." Jungkook whined.
Namjoon let out a small peal of laughter and pecked his baby alpha's nose.
"It's going to work out in the end and you have all of us to help .. anyway I'm hungry again let's go check out if there's foodtrucks that opened right now." Namjoon says standing up and giving Jungkook a hand.
In the middle of their journey back Namjoon groaned loudly.
"What is it hyung?" Jungkook asked sparing a sideway glance.
"I forgot to check out crabs." Namjoon exclaimed almost jumping of his seat.
Jungkook laughed.
Tumblr media
Yeah so this one doesn't have much fluff with you involved but we cleared the air ig aaaand we have a love rival. We will probably be seeing more members but hopefully it balances out.
Hope you enjoyed and let me know your thoughts.
I would like to take a moment to say that I'm grateful for the support and that's the only reason I'm continuing this au honestly it was meant to be a one shot maybe 1.5 shot lol and writing this it's easy to get stuck because I don't have any idea where I'm going with this. I mean I had plans with alpha reader and beta reader.
Anyway don't be shy to drop in and say hi.
Until next time 💜

Little do You Know | OT7 | Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
MAIN MASTERLIST
READ ON AO3
[Learn about my exclusive membership!]
Pairing: Bangtan (ot7) x f!reader
Summary: In a world where idols and actors can’t date, whether it be because of contracts, lack of time, or the dangers that involve having your personal life leaked, the market opened up for a new work field. Playmate Agencies emerged to supply the entertainment world with highly trained companions for hire. Bangtan is looking for new playmates. And you just happen to be the one all of them choose.
Genre: Fluff, angst, smut, playmate au, idol au.
Warnings: Not a Poly!BTS au but there will be future member x reader x member scenes (threesomes/foursomes/so on). Lots of porn with lots of plot. I know it goes without saying, but I’m gonna say it anyway! This story follows Bangtan schedules from 2021/22 (covid is not a thing), but this is obviously a work of fiction, so I’m not claiming that this is how certain events went down in real life, or that some attitudes would be the ones of real life people! Other idols/actors will be mentioned in this story. This is not a SMAU, but there will be social media posts (texts/news articles/magazine covers/ twitter posts etc) throughout the fic; all of the edits were made by me, with the exception of some manip and photo montages (couple/ "ships"), so if any of those belong to you, please let me know and I will credit you, or remove the picture.

Found/Fated/Forever
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Pairing: BTS OT7 x Reader Genre: Fantasy, eventual smut, porn with plot, slow burn, hurt/comfort Characters: Supernatural!BTS, Vampire!Jungkook, Supernatural!Reader Content Warning: Y/N in danger, medical scene & terminology Word Count: 3k
Jungkook held your body, cool, clammy, and lifeless in a state of panic. He didn’t mean to go that far, he thought desperately. He put his head on your chest and prayed to any gods that would listen that he hadn’t killed out outright, and a tiny blip of relief washed over him when he hurt the faint, slow beating of a heart. It wasn’t too late.
“What am I supposed to do?” He said, anxiously pacing. The idea hit him suddenly. If there was someone that could help, it was Namjoon.
Jungkook picked up your body, handling and cradling it like it was the most delicate flower. Standing in the middle of your apartment, in a puff of dark smoke, Jungkook willed the two of you to disappear, then reappear again on the roof of the largest general hospital in your city. At this time, the morning sun had begun cresting over the horizon, its warm rays falling onto the two of you. Jungkook for the first time felt his grip on you weaken and his muscles begin to strain and ache under your weight. Where you were weightless to him before, the sunlight was weakening him considerably. He wasted no further time dashing into the rooftop access door and into the hospital proper.
If Jungkook knew Kim Namjoon, and he was certain he did, he knew that it was almost certain that Namjoon hadn’t yet gone home from his shift as an emergency room attending. Jungkook hadn’t been to the hospital often, the stench of alcohol, death, blood, and other bodily fluids was overwhelming to his heightened senses and churned his stomach. Looking to blend in, he used the glamour magic afforded to him, disguising both of your forms as he navigated the halls, appearing to be just another doctor carrying a box of medical equipment. He paused, closing his eyes and concentrating, mentally pulling and tugging at the bond he shared with the older man.
Where are you? I am here.
Office. The bond answered back.
It wasn’t long until he was in front of the office of Dr. Kim Namjoon. Taking a deep breath, he opened the door.
Inside was a tired-looking, young man, busily typing and scratching down notes on a piece of paper. As Jungkook entered, he looked up, his expression initially pleased at seeing his mate quickly turned to one of shock and horror at what he was carrying.
“Hello Jungk-” Namjoon cut himself and stood suddenly from his desk, seeing the body he carried in his arms. “What the hell is this?”
“Help her, please,” Jungkook begged. “I can explain more later.”
Namjoon walked over, feeling for a pulse. “Did you do this to her?” He asked, his voice grave.
“Yes,” Jungkook replied, ashamed.
“Well you didn’t kill her,” Namjoon stated with a sigh. “She needs urgent treatment. Disguise yourself and bring her up to the 8th floor, B corridor, last room on the left. We will have a bit more privacy that way. I will be up right behind you.”
With a simple nod of solemn understanding, Jungkook turned on his heel, and made haste out of the office, following Namjoon’s instructions carefully. The B corridor on the 8th floor was sparsely populated, it appeared to be mostly storage for patient care monitors and machines, Jungkook noted passively. He tried the door of the aforementioned room, finding it unlocked, before letting himself in. The room was minimal, with a bed made up with only a pillow and a single fitted sheet, a bedside monitor, and a chair. Jungkook quickly laid you down on the bed before drawing the blinds to prevent any additional sunlight from getting in, it was making him feel like shit enough as it was.
It wasn’t much longer after Jungkook entered that Namjoon entered as well. He came, backpack slung over a shoulder and pushing a rolling table. Wordlessly, he unpacked the supplies and began setting you up on the monitors.
“Her pulse is thready, weak, and slow, but it's there. Regular rythm.” Namjoon noted out loud to no one in particular. “Her blood pressure is really low so I’m going to have to start her on a blood transfusion and fluids. Is that going to bother you, or do I have to kick you out?”
Jungkook shook his head emphatically. Namjoon nodded in understanding, but stood in place, unmoving.
“DO something!” Jungkook insisted, anxiously.
“I can count the number of times I’ve placed an IV on one hand and as for the IV pumps, they might as well be set to a foreign ancient language. I promise I am the last person you want handling this stuff. I’ve already paged my nurse, Clara. She should be here any moment.”
As if divinely timed, the door handle jiggled and opened, and a short, stout, human walked in. Clara was the veteran nurse of veteran nurses. She had been working since she graduated at the age of 22, she could place an IV in your forehead, she could run a code blue better than most of the resident doctors, and she was wise enough to know when to not ask too many questions.
“I got your page, Dr. Kim,” Clara said, walking in, and quickly assessing the situation.
“Clara, we are running a hypovolemic protocol on this patient. She needs bilateral peripheral IVs, 1-liter Lactated ringers at 120 milliliters an hour, packed red blood cells should run at 200 milliliters an hour, and platelets at 400. Take whatever blood you can and run a CBC, Jane Doe, stat. I have all the supplies here.”
“Yes, doctor,” Clara responded before quickly getting started. Clara worked fast and efficiently, with a work ethic born from years in the emergency room. Sliding the IVs in place, she expertly set up the fluids and blood products to transfuse and finally drew a vial of blood for testing. “I am going to run this to the lab. Will you be doing the transfusion monitoring, Doctor?”
“Yes. Thank you, Clara, for your work and your discretion,” Namjoon said, dismissing her. She excused herself with a simple head nod, and the two men were again alone in the room.
“She’s going to get better now, right?” Jungkook asked, bouncing his leg anxiously.
“She should,” Namjoon said, seriously. “But this is not over, and we will be discussing what the hell happened here because if I am doing some of the mental math here, I suspect this…” he said gesturing to you, “is an everyone problem.”
Jungkook looked away. The older man wasn’t usually so serious or harsh with him, and if he was honest with himself it definitely hurt on top of everything else that was going on, not that he didn’t deserve it.
The pair sat in silence for some time. Namjoon stood at your bedside carefully monitoring your vital signs. As the minutes passed, steadily your vital signs improved, and steadily Namjoon was able to relax.
“It was good you got here when you did,” Namjoon finally broke the silence. “She would have certainly died if you hadn’t.”
Jungkook swallowed hard at that. The last words you had said to him before this all started echoed in his mind, swallowing him with guilt. Please don’t hurt me.
After about 30 minutes, Namjoon received a message on his phone, your lab results. Confusingly, almost all the values were low. Did you even have any blood in your body, no one can survive this kind of low. Namjoon knitted his eyebrows together in confusion, and just as he was about to look up and question Jungkook, the monitoring alarms started blaring.
“Fuck!” Namjoon cursed. “She’s having a reaction to the blood. That should be impossible it’s O- blood, no one reacts to that! I checked it 5 times, FUCK! He cursed again.
“What do we do?” Jungkook stood now, panicked.
“Stay here, I need to get some medications I will be back as fast as I can.” Namjoon typically tapered his mannerisms and movements to the human world he worked in. He moved deliberately slowly, but at this moment, he allowed himself to use the maximum of his powers. Truly in a flash, he had gone and come back with armfuls of different medications he wasted no time in administering.
“This is really bad, Jungkook,” Namjoon said, looking over your body anxiously. “Her blood levels are so low, no human should have survived, and now she’s reacting to the one type of blood that everyone should be able to tolerate. I can give her some medications to encourage her body to make more blood cells faster, but I’m not sure she’ll survive that long.”
Jungkook stood, running his hands through his hair pacing. “She asked me not to hurt her, Joon. She asked me and I did this to her. She trusted me.” His voice waivered, boarding on tears.
“If I am right about what I suspect, you couldn’t control yourself, Kook,” Namjoon said, attempting to be comforting.
Jungkook continued to pace, chewing on his nails as he watched Namjoon attempt to resuscitate you.
“What if she wasn’t human?” Jungkook suddenly asked.
“What?” Namjoon asked, spinning around.
“What if she wasn’t human? She does crazy magic and her blood tasted weird. Different. I’ve drank a lot of human blood and it was never like that.”
Namjoon drew in a breath, answering in a cool, measured way. “You mean to tell me this woman can do magic and it’s only now occurring to you she’s probably not human? What human have you ever met that possesses anything resembling magic? Never mind the fact that her blood was completely unlike any other humans you’ve tasted, now I’m thinking the next thing we should be testing is your head because I’m desperately concerned that it is entirely empty!”
Jungkook looked down, ashamed, at the older man’s chiding.
“No wonder she had a reaction to the blood I gave her! Explains the impossibly low lab values too, she’s a bit more durable than the average human. Don’t be mistaken, these medications will likely have limited effect on her, and she is still gravely ill.”
“What can we do?” Jungkook asked, eyes misty.
“We,” Namjoon said emphasizing the word. “Can’t do a whole lot. You can teleport to Baba Yena and hope she’s feeling charitable today.”
Jungkook groaned internally. Baba Yena was known to be exceptionally powerful, but exceptionally apathetic. Legend states that she was older than time, older than the gods and the powers that created them. She possessed incredible powers, but was, in a word, incredibly stingy to whom she blessed with them. Jungkook’s run-ins with the woman had been scarce, but the few times he had, were certainly memorable. At all costs, he had wanted to avoid being around her, but on the other hand, it was the least he owed you after nearly taking your life.
With a heavy sigh and crossed fingers, Jungkook walked to the center of the room, and in yet another puff of black smoke instantly disappeared, leaving Namjoon alone with your body.
He sat next to your bedside, going between monitors, checking medication flow rates, and staring at you.
“If you keep fighting, I will fight for you,” Namjoon said. “Welcome to the family.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jungkook appeared suddenly and to his relief in front of a large, dome-shaped house. Baba Yena’s house was located in a pocket dimension, and without the proper talismans or magic symbols, teleportation here was… unreliable. The house itself seemed to be made out of packed dirt or fired brick, the roof overgrowing with moss. The house was seemingly the only thing in the pocket dimension, and aside from Baba Yena’s home and overgrown yard, a black abyss stretched on in all directions seemingly endlessly.
Jungkook steeled his nerves, walking up the short, rough stone walkway to the large, wooden front door. There was no door knob, Jungkook suddenly realized, but as he raised his hand to knock, the door flung itself open. Taking it as an open invitation, he let himself in.
The inside smelled fairly pleasant of wood, and for good reason. Betraying the fired brick exterior, the interior of the home seemed that of a log cabin or other wood-inspired architecture. In the entryway, there was a single spiral staircase going up, and corridors leading to who knows where on the left and right. If Jungkook focused his hearing, from the right direction he could hear a female voice humming and mumbling to herself. He decided to follow.
The corridor was plain with wood paneling, but most bizarrely seemed to stretch on for much, much longer than it had first appeared. Jungkook found himself walking first for 1 minute, then 5, and when 10 minutes passed and he still hadn’t reached the room he was walking towards, his anxiety heightened. He stopped, thinking.
“I seek your help, Baba Yena!” He called out. He waited a few seconds, and when nothing changed he thought of a new approach. Baba Yena was also called the Knowing Mother, and to her, information was worth its weight in favors. “A girl of an unknown race lies dying in a hospital bed, and without your gracious help, she will perish an unknown, and her secrets will die with her.” Jungkook waited a few more seconds. He felt a rush suddenly and was nearly knocked off his feet as a large, invisible force picked him up, and shot him forward, dropping him off at the threshold of the room once impossibly far away.
Jungkook entered the room which he quickly assessed to be a kitchen of sorts with black and white floor tiling, scuffed with age, a dark wood table covered in various ingredients, tubes, flasks, and other unrecognizable equipment, a ceiling littered with drying herbs and meats, and a sink next to a counter, on which is something that was clearly freshly butchered. On the side closest to him, there was a forge of sorts, a large stone pit full of red-hot coals, perched over which was a large, black cauldron, the depth of which was at least half of Jungkook’s height. Standing over the cauldron on a step stool was Baba Yena, a diminutive old woman. Hair silver and white was wild and long, her face a map of wrinkles and liver spots, and her hands, gnarled, twisted, and bony. If she noticed Jungkook enter, she didn’t show it and continued stirring whatever concoction bubbled loudly in the kettle.
Jungkook cleared his throat and shifted uncomfortably, attempting to get Baba Yena’s attention to no avail.
“Baba Yena,” Jungkook began, taking a tentative step forward. “I bring you information in exchange for some of your magic.”
Baba Yena didn’t look up from her work but finally spoke. “The Liar Boy comes to me asking for favors, tell me Liar Boy, how does that pendant serve you?”
“It serves me well, Baba,” Jungkook said holding it in his hand instinctually. “There is a girl, not human, not demon, not fae, not angel. She is dying.”
“I see…” Baba Yena stirs her pot more aggressively now, reaching up, plucking a dried herb from the ceiling, and mixing it in. “You, Liar Boy are the one who almost killed the girl…”
“I was compelled by the Smoke. It is my fault nonetheless, and I have come to beg for your mercy.”
“I have saved you once, Liar Boy. Many who come to my doorstep don’t have even that many chances.”
“The girl is unusual and powerful. She could be of interest to you.”
“You again offer the girl as a sacrifice, and yet nothing of personal sacrifice, how peculiar.” Baba Yena said with a small cackle.
“I have nothing left to give,” Jungkook replied, forlorned.
“I see the girl,” Baba Yena said, staring into her cauldron. “The horned one cares for her well, but she is as ill as you say and- ah! She is mated to you, she holds your final Fragment, I see. No wonder the Liar Boy again finds himself on my doorstep.”
“You understand why I humbly bring myself to your home. Allowing her to die would be a punishment too heavy for someone innocent, she is guilty of only trusting me. I intend to earn her trust in earnest, and I only ask for the opportunity to do so.”
“So it would seem…” Baba Yaga said, half listening. She stares intently at something, the light from the cauldron giving her an even more menacing look. Her eyes dart around as if watching something intently, and Jungkook watches as her face twists into a wolfish smile.
“I ought to sever your bonds and cast your soul to wander the Astral Sea for being such a pain in my side, Liar Boy. I will help this girl, but not without sacrifice from you.”
“Anything,” Jungkook said earnestly.
“Oh, I have something in mind,” Baba Yaga said, climbing down from the step stool and waddling across the kitchen before phasing through a portion of the wall, disappearing from view. Jungkook could still hear the sound of items being shuffled, glass clinking against glass, however. After a minute or so, Baba Yaga returned, a dusty, palm-sized, green potion in hand.
“Drink this and we will be on our way.” She said, handing him the bottle.
Jungkook took it from her, turning it in his hand, examining the liquid inside. It was a sickly lime green color, and he noticed, to the dismay of his stomach, that the texture of the liquid was actually quite viscous and grainy. He wondered if it was a poison, naturally, perhaps one meant to weaken him severely but never kill him outright. He had a mind to ask, but understanding how fickle Baba Yena was, he knew better. He lifted the cork out of place with a solid thunk, closed his eyes, and focused on not vomiting as he poured the potion down his throat. He didn’t fight the wave of magical something that passed through his body, bracing himself for pain or weakness. He opened his eyes and checked his body, felt his face, but somehow, he felt completely fine.
“You’ll know what it does in time, Liar Boy. Now come, let's go save this girl.”
“You can…what?” Namjoon kept pressing you, as his hold on your hair relaxed a tiny bit, enjoying the way your eyes were softly glazing over and your lips were slightly open. What a little treat you were.
“I…I can, sir” you whispered softly, completely relaxed and somehow comfortable with the way his grip remained grounding you. You almost forgot what were you nervous about. Why were you worrying so much, if they are all so nice and seemed to have this magic power over you?
You just wanted to obey. To follow each and every one of his words until he would tell you otherwise. You wanted for him to think you were good, to be proud of you. Was it his voice? Or the way he formulated his sentences?
The truth is the boys had been keeping their eyes on you ever since they met you that first time a couple weeks ago. Much discreetly, so you wouldn’t notice, but they were still there, spending way more time on the little cafeteria just watching your everyday routine. Namjoon and Hoseok had decided to wait, wanting to meet the little treat the boys were talking so much about in person. But the other were always there watching you work. The way you were so respectful and obedient, making sure you followed your managers orders perfectly, practically melting when you were given some approval or attention. It was as if you were craving for it. Always willing to please.
And the praise…
They could see right through you. How you would get all flustered and shy and when you were praised, but they could see how much you enjoyed it. How you were so terribly eager to do things right and get a gentle head pat from your nice coworker or the way she would coo at you when you were good. And the way you would melt, with a cute little blush decorating your face and a hazy look. Oh, you were so perfect for them, and you weren’t even aware of all the potential you had to be their cute little sub!
But they also noticed the way you would get so focused on your tasks that you would forget to eat. You had to be constantly reminded of your break times. Your hair would always fall out of place and you had to be redoing your messy bun many times through the day. They barely saw you seeping a tiny bit of water in a whole day.
And of course they couldn’t take that. Thats why you were here.
Namjoon’s firm stare softened at you as his lips curved into a smirk, as he chuckled softly and Jin had to hold a moan from escaping his lips. You were already addressing them by titles? Oh, you would truly be so fun…All the boys were completely entrapped looking at you and your reactions. They knew you liked the way Namjoon was practically manhandling you. How you were so so relaxed and calm, in comparison to when you entered the room. And the most observants of them could see how you were thighs were slightly clenched, showing you were actually as affected as them.
“I meant for you to say what were you able to do, but I guess that works too” Namjoon chuckled and left your hair, but kept a firm hold on your shoulder to make sure you didn’t forget his words and presence. And you were not planning on it. “Why don’t we sit, so we can talk more comfortably?”
You nodded softly as he started to guide you towards the big couch. You were about to lower your gaze, but stopped yourself immediately. You didn’t want him to be disappointed of you so soon! You held your head high, looking at the taller male, and before you could notice you were already sitting with him on your side. Jimin was quicker than the rest and, with a cocky smile, he sat beside you. Way closer than it would have remained professional, but you didn’t really care at this point. You were more worried about the seven pair of eyes that seemed too interested in you.
“Oh dear, what is this?” Jimin was now holding your hand, were there was a small bandage you had improvised that morning before your manager had came bearing the news.
“I-it’s nothing! I just got a small cut while I was…” you tried getting your hand away from his grip, in hopes to hide the ugly bandages that was stained with coffee, but his fingers only tightened around your wrist and your breathing hitched “I was…umm…I was…”
“You were what?” Taehyung’s deep voice sent chills down your spine, as your eyes moved to him, nervously. “What was so important for you to ruin that pretty skin of yours? Go on, answer”
Ruining your skin was his job…
“I was just slicing some chocolate and I cut through my nail, it’s not too bad…Mgh!” A moan went right out of your lips as Jimin started unwrapping the bandage and the pain surprised you.
The room froze all because of that small little sound that came out of you. Jungkook could feel the crotch of his pants tightening as hundreds of images started going across his mind. You, wearing some pretty lingerie that would be already ruined because of how wet he would make you with just his words and…he needed to stop before his wood was unbearable. And the other boys were in pretty similar situations. And you weren’t making things specially easier, because you started stuttering and apologizing nervously.
“What are you apologizing for, pretty? If it hurts, is normal for you to express yourself!” Jin’s hands were now resting on your thighs as he was kneeling in front of you, and he held the smile that started tucking his lips as he felt your muscles tense under his touch. “Keep going Jimin, we need to change that bandage as soon as possible. I would hate for your wound to get infected under our care…”
“That’s really not necessary! I can change it when I get home!” You tried to disuade him, also making your biggest effort to hide the way his hands on your legs were affecting you. They were resting on your mid thighs, palms hot even against the fabric of your pants, but something deep and warm inside your belly wanted them to go higher.
“Oh really? Do you have the right supplies for it on your home?” Yoongi asked you with a raised brow and his cat eyes staring at you almost made you faint, cheeks flushed.
“I…No, I don’t, b-but I have to go buy them anyway, since my landlord didn’t give me a first aid kit! I just keep forgetting…” you started rambling more to yourself than to them, but they heard you clearly, and they didn’t like it.
Jin’s hands gripped your thighs firmly, and you yelped. His hands only tightened at your reaction, and he manhandled you until your legs were open. Your eyes widened and you tried to free yourself and stop him, but his hands clasped your thighs in place, his eyes turning harder and staring at you so intensely you thought he was reading your mind. “Open them”
“B-but…”
“If I have to repeat myself, I swear you will regret being such a bad girl” his voice was a small whisper, but it made you want to drop to your knees for him “Now be good, and open your legs.”
You obeyed slowly, opening your legs for him. But your speed didn’t seem to satisfy him, because he pushed your legs open with a swift movement and got himself between them, only a few centimeters separating your faces. His hand got closer to your face, and his thumb freed your lip from your teeth. You didn’t even realize you were biting it, until his finger swiped softly against your flesh, pulling it softly with his nail.
Why did you want to suck it?
“What a pretty pair of lips you have, huh? Too pretty to have you chewing on them…” his words, his touch, it was all sending you into a cloud like state. You felt just so safe and warm.
So fuzzy…
“Pretty indeed…now, why don’t you just let Jiminnie take care of that wound while our Hyung keeps you distracted?” You barely register Hoseok’s voice, and they seem to notice it.
Were you already entering subspace? That idea made them happy.
“And you better not hide those sounds…it would not be good to keep the pain all bottled up, would it, cute thing?”
ACT I.
━━━━━━━━━ ✦
Claire, a tall girl with an eighty's aura and a shag haircut, sits in the passenger seat of her father's car, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. The car hums with tension as they drive down the road, the passing scenery reflecting the girl's inner turmoil. She was about to meet her doom.
She gazes out the window, her expression a mix of anger and frustration. The weight of her resentment hangs heavy in the air.
“I can't believe you're making me go to some stupid all-girls boarding school, Dad. This is so unfair!” she grimaces. This had been her constant complaint ever since receiving the news, but somehow, like a broken record, she still held onto those words, praying it would be enough to make her dad rethink his decision. It wasn’t.
Her father, Mr. Deschamps, a middle-aged man with tired eyes due to his rushed businessman life, glances at her with a mixture of concern and regret. “Claire, we've talked about this. It's a better opportunity for you. You'll have a chance to focus on your studies and discover new interests.” he insists softly.
Claire scoffs, her frustration boiling over.
Her voice sounds angry as she replies, “Better opportunity?! What about my life here? My friends? You're ripping me away from everything I know!”
Her father's grip tightens on the steering wheel, his tone laced with remorse.
“Claire, honey, I didn't make this decision lightly. It's for your future. You'll make new friends, and have new experiences. Please try to understand.”
Claire's gaze remains fixed on the passing scenery, her umbrage simmering beneath her rebellious exterior. “You simply don't get it, Dad,” she says resentfully as the view keeps changing dramatically into a more rural area. “You don't know what it's like to be uprooted from everything familiar, to start over in some stuffy boarding school.”
Her father's voice softens, laced with a tinge of sadness. “I know it's hard, honey,” he admits sincerely. “But sometimes, we must make sacrifices for the greater good. Trust me, I only want what's best for you.”
Claire's anger doesn’t wane, even though she is tempted to soothe at her dad’s words. “Change can be scary, but it also opens doors to new opportunities.” he continues, tenderly. “You're strong, Claire. You'll adapt, and who knows, you might find something incredible out here.”
Her gaze shifts from the passing greenery outside to her father's warm and understanding eyes. She takes a deep breath, slowly releasing the pent-up frustration. There was no point discussing this with him, he would never back up on his word. And the truth was, ever since he got together with that Malibu Barbie wannabe called Blanche, this was destinate to happen. She had waited for the rug to be pulled from under her feet as her distrust in life itself was a rooted injustice carved deep in her heart, but now that it happened, she tried desperately to hold onto a shimmer of hope.
And how tricky it was to expect, to wait for someone else to take the reins of one’s life... No one would come and save her, that was clear. So why not save herself?
“Sure thing, Dad.” Claire mumbles resigned. At least for now.
A bittersweet silence fills the car as they continue their journey, both aware that this new chapter holds challenges and possibilities that neither can fully anticipate. The beginning of a plan to escape the boarding school, however, started to thread like a lightning bolt in the girl’s mind.
She would make sure no one would see it coming. And one thing was certain, Claire Deschamps would never settle into a life in the middle of nowhere, nor a life she hadn’t chosen herself.
━━━━━━━━━ ✦
Claire steps out of her father's car, her jeans bomber jacket with wide shoulders and lots of sewn trinkets contrasting greatly with the more conservative uniforms of the other students passing by. Their plaid skirts had at least two full hands more fabric compared to the black leather one she used.
She takes a deep breath, bracing herself for what lies ahead. Mr. Deschamps opens the trunk, retrieving her suitcase and opening space for two employees to try and lift the big chest full of stickers that also belonged to Claire.
“Here you go, honey.” He hands the lush green suitcase to her. “I hope you find… Some great things here.”
She takes it, grudgingly. “Don’t be so disappointed when I don’t.”
Her father shows a sympathetic smile on his face as he pauses to take in what she had just said. “I understand, Claire.” He opts to say. “Take care of yourself. Call me if you need anything, okay?”
Claire nods, unable to hide her lingering resentment. Her father gives her a last reassuring smile before driving away.
As she sees the Rolls-Royce disappearing on the dirty road, the Headmistress Winters, a stern and composed woman in her fifties whom she had already seen printed on the flyer advertising the school, approaches Claire with an air of authority. The disapproving expression that she wears only exacerbates Claire’s dislike for her furthermore.
“You must be Miss Deschamps, our newest student,” the woman says, inspecting her closer. “I trust you had a pleasant journey?”
To that, Claire rolls her eyes discreetly, her guard already up. “Oh, joy,” she mutters under her breath.
Putting on a polite facade, the Headmistress takes a step further, “As you know, I am Headmistress Winters. Your father and I talked on the phone. Welcome to St. Victoria’s Academy. Here we expect our students to uphold the highest standards of discipline and academic excellence.” She waves her hand in a high class and fluid motion, introducing the grand structure of the school behind her.
There is a moment of silence as Claire fights the urge to scoff, her skepticism apparent.
“Sounds like a real party,” she mutters dryly under her breath.
Headmistress Winters's eyes narrow not catching what the girl has to say, however, judging by the lack of excitement on Claire’s part and her many years of experience when it came to building character, she maintains her composed demeanor. She knows a troublemaker when she sees one.
With thinly veiled annoyance she adds firmly, “Respect and compliance are expected from all students, Claire. You'll find that St. Victoria’s Academy offers numerous opportunities for personal development and camaraderie. I suggest you keep an open mind.”
Claire's expression remains guarded, her disdain for the headmistress palpable the more words fell from her mouth. Her tone is pure cynicism as she answers. “Sure, Mrs. Winters. I'll keep an open mind while I'm here.”
Begrudgingly, she follows the older woman through the school's grand entrance, the imposing architecture and hushed conversations heightening her unease.
The Hall of Entrance in the all-girls boarding school exudes an air of elegance and tradition. Polished marble floors stretch out beneath the students' feet, reflecting the soft glow of the chandeliers that hang overhead. Tall, arched windows line the walls, allowing sunlight to filter in and cast a warm, inviting glow on the surroundings.
As Claire steps into the hall after the Headmistress, she is greeted by a flurry of activity. Girls in crisp uniforms pass by more eagerly than the ones she saw outside, their eyes darting to and fro, their hushed whispers carrying snippets of gossip. The hall becomes a stage for both fellowship and rivalry, as cliques form and dissolve with each passing moment.
The sound of clicking heels and rustling skirts mingles with the gentle murmur of conversation, creating a symphony of feminine energy. Some girls walk with confidence, their heads held high, while others seem more reserved, their eyes darting nervously as they try to find their place within the social hierarchy.
Portraits of past headmistresses and notable alumnae adorn the walls, their stern gazes reminding the students of the institution's legacy and the high expectations placed upon them. Some peak Claire’s attention. One of the spaces in particular, the one dedicated to the sports league, shows boys’ teams and trophies they earned against them, but she can’t find the right moment to ask what it is about as Mrs. Winters walks like a thunderstorm.
The aroma of freshly polished wood and the faint hint of perfume linger in the air making her curiosity calmly dissipate, creating an atmosphere that is both refined and pansy.
A grand staircase, its banisters intricately carved, leads to the upper levels of the school. It serves as a focal point, drawing the eyes of the girls as they ascend and descend, their interactions playing out on the stage of the hall.
Claire becomes acutely aware of the watchful eyes as she makes her way through the bustling crowd, trailing the steps of Mrs. Winters. Some girls shoot her curious glances, sizing her up and speculating about the newcomer. Whispers trail in her wake, snippets of conversation filled with intrigue and speculation.
Mrs. Winters then suddenly turns to face her once more, revealing behind her shoulder line a girl who matches Claire’s height, with bangs and a cascade of hazel hair. The girl’s warm and open expression contrasts greatly with Claire’s defensive demeanor.
Noticing Claire’s disinterest, Mrs. Winters starts, “Let me introduce you to your new roommate, Claire. She’ll help you settle in.”
Extending her hand politely and rather excitedly, the girl before her greets, “Hi! I'm Ella. It’s really nice to meet you!”
Claire reluctantly shakes Ella's hand, her guard still up. Frustrated by the already lack of choice on her end she mumbles, “Yeah, hi.”
Headmistress Winters nods curtly, signaling the end of their interaction. “Miss Dubois, why don’t you show Claire to your dormitory and explain how things work around here? I was in the middle of a rather urgent matter when she arrived...”
Without missing a beat, Ella promptly nods, understanding the task at hand. “Sure thing, Headmistress. Follow me, roomie!”
The newfound nickname makes Claire hiss internally like a cornered cat, but she plays the part, thankful to finally get herself rid of the Headmistress's presence.
Before the two of them can walk further away, Mrs. Winters dismissively points again, “Very well, off you go. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the rules and expectations of this institution, Miss Deschamps.”
Claire raises an eyebrow, her rebellious spirit flickering to life. “I'll keep that in mind, Headmistress,” she replies defiantly, turning her back to the woman.
Leaving the bustling hall and the scrutinizing eyes of the older woman, Claire turns to Ella, a sense of complicity forming between them as she notices how much more relaxed her new guide seems to be.
Smiling, Ella reassures her. “I promise this is not all as daunting as it seems.”  Claire takes a deep breath, her apprehension giving way to a glimmer of hope. She follows Ella, ready to navigate the challenges of this new environment, determined to find her place amidst the rules and expectations she so vehemently resents. Who knows?, she thinks, maybe her new roommate can give her an escape route without even noticing. She could be escaping St. Victoria’s much earlier than she had predicted.
━━━━━━━━━ ✦
Claire wasn’t convinced if Ella had what it takes to be her newfound ally. The headmistress seemed to trust her enough which made her either valuable to the plan or a stone in her shoe. Although Claire was pending more to the former since the girl seemed very friendly as they kept a light conversation and she led the way through the bustling hallways. More often than not, the veteran would gush about her own friends as she vibrantly pointed to Claire how their day-to-day was, and for moments, more than to seek intel to architect her plan, the brunette found herself momentarily forgetting about her purpose as she got infected by Ella’s contagious energy.
Their footsteps echo softly as they step onto the serene patio, where blooming flowers and neatly trimmed hedges create a serene oasis within the school grounds. The sound of laughter and animated conversations drifts through the air as girls gather in small groups, enjoying moments of respite and fellowship.
Claire’s eyes scan the scenery, and they get caught in the ruckus three girls are making right by the center fountain of the patio. The one standing in the middle, a blonde with a high ballerina bun, dances excitedly as she flashes a knitted scarf to her peers. “You think JK will like it?” Her voice travels through the open space as she points specifically to the initials engraved in it.
Noticing Claire’s mind is far away from whatever she is saying, Ella leans closer, whispering, “That’s Vivienne for you,” she chuckles as Claire’s glance shifts quickly back, “Everyone calls her Vivi and you’ll soon hate her too, trust me.”
To that statement, Claire’s eyes return inquiring to Ella’s, her nose scrunching in doubt.
“You see, she delusionally believes she and some trouble boy are meant to be. We’re all tired to hear about it, or witness moments like this.” Ella points with her head to the blonde once more. “There she goes, making him a scarf he won’t probably use. Tell me about waste of time!”
Claire mildly snorts entertained, looking at the scene as well. “Poor girl.”
“Oh, believe me!” Ella exhales, walking away and her roommate follows, “That one is nothing of the sort. Imagine Regina George in real life. That’s her, right there.”
In a lack of response from the brunette, Ella gestures towards a row of benches shaded by a grand oak tree. ”Anyways, this is our patio, Claire. It's the perfect spot to relax and soak up some sunshine during breaks. And see over there? That's the canteen.”
The delicious aroma of freshly cooked meals fills the air as soon as they step closer to the precinct. Girls line up at the serving counter, chatting and exchanging stories as they eagerly await their turn. The room is alive with vibrant colors, with posters and artwork adorning the walls, adding a touch of creativity to the space.
“We refuel here, obviously.” Ella glances excited to see Claire’s reaction. “The food is surprisingly good, and there's always a variety of options to choose from… Well. When the boys don’t join, that is. They can be savages.” she chuckles nonchalantly.
Suddenly Claire’s eyes perk with curiosity. Every bit of information she had gathered about the school before arriving said this was an all-girls academy, but then again, there were existent photos of boys displayed in the hall. Not to say Vivienne’s parade a second ago. Do they have a day off?, she muses, Could this be an opportunity? “What do you mean boys? Isn’t this an all-girls school?” she voices her thoughts as Ella takes the lead again, taking her on another stroll.
The energetic roommate greets some girls that pass by them with a sympathetic smile before returning her focus to the newcomer beside her.
“Well, yeah. The Alarie boarding school for boys is right across the river, and we often have classes together. You know, lack of teachers in the far countryside.” she shrugs.
Before she can inquire further, Ella is already distracted, smiling at the passersby.
“With Jimin? Again?! God, what’s her secret!” They hear a girl gasp to a friend as they crossways.
Oh. I see..., Claire’s thoughts put the pieces together. She quickly looks at the hazel-haired girl making her company.
By the raise of eyebrows that she gives her and the flicker of frolic that flashes in her eyes, Ella is quick to warn, “It’s strictly forbidden to hang out with them boys, Claire. No smogging. No funny hands.”
“But she just-” Claire refuted pointing behind her shoulders to the girl that passed by sharing her indignation a bit too loudly.
Ella gave her a warning yet laid-back glance, “Alright, people go on with it in secret but as you can see, nothing is really a secret around here. And then when you least expect it, bam! You’re in trouble!”
“Are they at least hot? Or I don’t know... Worth the trouble?”
Ella thinks for a second and then shrugs with a naivety Claire knows to be fake, “How would I know?”
“If you say so!” Claire pretends to salute dramatically, a bickering well read by the other as to the current square state the Academy insisted on following rules. And so, Ella pulls her to a quick jog entertained, and a bit tempted to show her new roommate she also knew how to break a few of them. Even if the rules she was breaking weren’t as grand as Claire deemed them to be. The students passing by confirmed the thought as they judged their behavior, and Claire laughed even louder at their tedious conformism. The rule about not running in the hallways was true indeed.
As they arrive at their shared dormitory, their footsteps grow softer as they enter the hushed ambiance of the living quarters. The dormitory is a cozy space adorned with tasteful decorations, featuring two neatly made beds, desks adorned with books and personal touches, and small corkboards for photos and reminders.
Ella jumps to sit on her own bed, bouncing on the mattress as she does so. “And here we are,” she gestures. “Our humble abode. It may not be the biggest, but it's home.”
Claire looks around the room, a hint of curiosity dancing in her eyes as she imagines the memories that will unfold within these walls, even if for brief moments. Ella seems a nice girl, but she won’t be around to discover much more about her. She needs to escape this. Her real friends await in the big city.
“Yeah, it's not bad…”
Ella grins with the comment, her warmth shining through.
“We'll make it cozy, you’ll see,” she says encouragingly. “Plus, you still have to meet my girls! They are rooming right in front of us. It’s great to share stuff and to keep gossip in day!” She laughs at her own behavior.
As Claire sets her suitcase down and begins to unpack, a bit aloof to her roommate’s words, a newfound sense of optimism fills the room. To Ella is the beginning of a new friendship, even if her roommate was a hard one to crack. But she was patient, everyone had their personal time after all. To Claire, it is a journey through a path she had never charted before, but her father was right about one thing---she is strong. And she will prevail.
“We’ll meet them in a few!” Ella continues, snapping Claire out of her thoughts, “They went to pick up your uniforms for you.”
Claire eyes her with gratitude, showing for the first time a smile, even if timid, and her roommate mimicked the action. Only hers was as big as her enthusiasm for finally having a friend to share her bedroom with.
Still sitting by her bed, Ella watches as Claire takes only her toiletries out of her green suitcase, as well as a portrait of her and what the girl gathered to be her mom. The tall wild child discards the pouch with her cosmetics by the bed, as she walks toward the bedside table, closely placed to the window, adjusting the portrait on top of it. Her clothes, still inside the suitcase, didn’t seem important and were left forgotten still inside it, untouched. Or so Ella thought so.
“Your mom is beautiful,” she comments gently, looking at how Claire’s eyes seem to hover with longing at the picture.
The brunette opens a small smile, thanking her roommate almost in a whisper, eyes still glued to the image of her mom. How she missed her.
And then suddenly a loud pang interrupts the moment, making her jump and Ella scream. Startled by the sudden impact of a ball against her bedroom window, she had fallen back onto her bed, her heart racing. She swiftly rises and storms towards the window again, fueled by annoyance and ready to unleash her frustration on the culprit responsible.
Seething with anger, Claire flings open the window of her dorm room on the second floor, ready to give the culprit a piece of her mind. Ella knees on her bed to look at the indicted herself. “Shit.” She manages to say.
Claire’s words, however, catch in her throat as she locks eyes with a boy she has never seen before, and taking by Ella’s reaction beside her, it was clear that wasn’t her case, her roommate knew him.
His mischievous grin and charismatic presence immediately captivate her, and a flicker of curiosity replaces her initial anger. Still, she stands her ground and through gritted teeth, she lashes, “What's your problem?!”
Both girls watch as he brings casually one of his hands to shield his eyes from the sun, his smile gleaming with amusement.
“Oh, I apologize, princess,” he says charmingly. “You weren’t supposed to-” he trails off, “Well, I wasn’t looking to make an impression on you but now…” he considers, his smile doubling the size.
Claire tries to maintain her composure, but there's an undeniable pull towards the Alarie’s boy that she can't ignore.
“Impression?” She scoffs slightly flustered, “If it’s at being stupid, you've certainly succeeded. Who are you anyway?”
The boy takes a step closer toward the shade of the tall building to see her better, a playful glint in his eyes as he keeps looking up chuckling at her response.
With a smirk, he replies. “You didn’t hear of me? I'm Jungkook,” he says as if it explains a lot, with a smugness that makes Claire crazy to punch out of his face. “I go to the Alarie’s, right next door.”
“JK!” another boy shouts from a distance, and Claire’s eyes travel to the field to meet the face of Jungkook’s peer. A group of boys is joyfully hanging out there, waiting for him.
As her eyes turn back to him, standing beneath her window, with a raised eyebrow, Jungkook says with yet another chuckle, “You never told me your name.”
She sneers, “And I won’t.”
Despite her refusal, Claire can't help but feel a certain curiosity pull toward Jungkook. His confidence and charm leave her intrigued, even if she tries to deny it or finds it too brazen.
Jungkook sends another intrigued look her way, a hint of mischief in his voice.
“Don't worry, princess. I’ll find it soon enough.” that answer only makes her blood boil further. “Besides, life's too short to be boring, don't you think? I like the mystery.” He shrugs with a smile, picking the rugby ball that was fallen by his feet, and starting to walk back. He turns once again to see her reaction, raising his voice as he adds, “And tell your rat roommate that the next one is meant for her!” He lifts the ball in his hand as if he raised a toast.
“I'm not fucking interested in your idea of excitement, Jungkook. Save your charm for someone else!” She shouts defiantly but he only laughs in response, now fully turning his back and jogging swiftly toward his friends.
She can't help but watch his back and carefree stance, even if Ella’s presence is made heard by her side. Under rushed and muted curses, the girl gets up from the bed, initiating an anxious breakdown as she paced back and forth inside their bedroom.
Claire’s gaze finally moves away from the window to fall upon her roommate’s state. “Not that it’s any of my business, but... You wanna talk about it?” she asks, gaining no response apart from a full stop on the pacing and Ella’s hands coming to a desperate grip on her own locks.
“Ella!” Claire calls her, closing the distance between them, “Hey, what’s going on?” The change of attitude of the girl was so brusque from her previous joyful self that it got her worried.
She gently touched her shoulder, and Ella’s eyes finally found her own. “I’m totally, completely, fucked.” She confesses finally.
“What happened? Is it about this Jungkook guy?”
The hazel-haired girl gives her a nod and Claire’s eyebrows knit together. She manages to inhale, ready to question further but they are interrupted by the cheerful tinkle of shoes and greetings.
“We got it!” It’s what she hears as she looks at the door to their room that had been left open. Two girls enter the space, both shorter than Ella and her. They look excited, probably having fun on the way there.
“Hi! You must be the new girl,” The shortest one says, giving her a cordial smile. She has her long honey-blonde hair held back by a bow. “I’m Lola, this is Avery...”
“And this is your uniforms!” While Lola has a royal aura to her, somewhat restrained and charismatic, Avery seems more upfront and girly. Her hair is like coal and so glossy that it shines hues of dark blue in the light.
Taking the folded clothes from her hands with a smile of her own, Claire introduces herself. “Thank you, I’m Claire. And you really didn’t have to do it-”
“It’s totally fine, we wanted to!” Lola insists bubbly, waving off, and the brunette smiles thankful.
The blonde walks her way toward Ella’s bed, familiar enough to sit on it as she grabs a pillow to hug as she did so.
“Girls. He knows.” To Claire’s relief, Ella finally enters the conversation. “I hate myself!” She adds, grunting.
She notices how the other two react fervently to the comment as she places the pile of uniforms on top of her bed, ceasing to be the focus of their attention. They look at Ella with staring eyes, clearly on topic but still indignant about the rest of the information that still doesn’t come.
“What do you mean he knows?!” Avery is the first to question. “How would he know? There were no boys in class that day...”
To which Lola quickly made a comment with a nudge at her waist, “I told you there was! Louis, remember?”
At the same time, Ella explained. “Now Jungkook sent a stupid ball flying up the window on purpose. After my head of course!”
While Claire looked from one to another trying to unveil the situation, both Avery and Lola unleashed a series of wroth exclamations, to what Ella took part in instead of actually providing a clearer explanation.
“I’m sorry.” Claire interrupted. “But can someone situate me here? What does this Jungkook know? And why is it a big deal? I’m lost.” She had a notion she was being brazen as she wasn’t close to the three friends before her, but not a couple minutes before she had witnessed a boy sending a warning in the shape of a rugby ball to her roommate. If this was to continue while she stayed there, she needed to know at least the basics.
Avery and Lola look from her to Ella apprehensively waiting. So this is mildly important, she thinks. And then the latter sighs.
“I wasn’t completely honest with you about the boys’ part...”
To that statement, Claire slowly realizes that there may be more to this school than meets the eye, and consequently, more that she needs to unravel to make her flight seem a mystery. Glancing out of the window, Alerie’s boarding school for boys is starting to feel like a needed pit stop, as it stands tall between St. Victoria’s building and her much-wanted freedom.
