Text
in the beginning,
he loved me
so sweet and tender
i thought he was my soulmate.
now his love is gone
and all that is left is the shell of what once was.
he cheated on me.

Text
i remember how he used to love me -
fast kisses at red lights
secret meetings
reassurance for my insecurities
spending quality time with me
but now his love comes
in forms i’m not used to -
sometimes
it doesn’t come at all

Text
staring at him
my heart overfilled with love,
the kind of love that leads me back to him,
again and again,
the kind of love that will have me loving him beyond the day i die,
the kind of love that seeps into your soul and heals every wound it touches.
he feels like home.
he feels like what love should have been.
he is love,
if love were a human being.

Text
my love for him won’t be stopped.
not by distance,
not by time,
not by death,
nothing in this world
or the next
will ever stop me
from loving him
the way he deserves to be loved.

i don’t think
the word love
actually describes how i feel about him.
i don’t think
it’s strong enough.

Text
looking at him
with soft, slow love songs playing
in the background
all i could see
was my future.

Text
he once told me
that i would get over missing him
but i could never
get over losing
someone who touched my soul.

Text
who made him think that he isn’t enough?
what makes him believe his uniqueness is his weakness?
who taught him that he isn’t worth much?
who hurt him so bad that he refuses to realize the true extent of his vast beauty?
my only wish is that he would realize every piece of him is worth loving; so long as you find the right person to love you.

Text
i listened to him toss and turn in his sleep.
his body glides over his sheets;
the friction between the two
creates a sound
almost as unique
as the boy making it.

Text
he reminded me of a work of art.
the way his soft curly hair dried after he showers.
the way his voice got so light and pure as he fell asleep.
the way his laugh felt like a melody.
the way his breathing lulled me to sleep.
the way his soft pink lips moved when he spoke.
the way he has cared about me.
he is so exquisite and unique.
i thank gods i don’t believe in that i exist in the same span of space and time as him.
because somehow i met a boy and fell for everything about him.

Text
i’m addicted to him.
i want to spend every second of every day in his presence.
there’s not a moment that i want to be without him.
he’s my drug.
i’m a moth to his flame.
i’ll never stop going to him.

i would spend forever
talking to him
about anything
and everything
because my heart feels so happy
in his presence.

Text
it’s the way that he knows me.
he remembers all the small things.
where i like to go,
who my friends are,
what i like to do,
what i want to do with my life.
he remembers everything about me.

i knew you would hurt me
but the thunderous ache in my heart
and pain lingering in my bones
are almost too much to bare.

Text
his laugh is so pure, almost poetic.
like a soft melody
it rings in my ears.
it’s so hearty and full
i swell with a deep affection for him.
the kind that makes you smile.
the kind they call love.
