And there he stands, Dabi—his big brother— wreathed in flames every shade of blue with this strange look on his face.
His lips downturned and pressed together tightly, trembling. His furrowed brows and scrunched nose. It’s an unfamiliar face, one that he only remembers through cracked doors. No tears fall— they don’t even form, they can’t— but his older brother still looks like he’s holding them back.
“I’m proud of you.”
The air is heavy between them. It feels weighed down by emotions too complicated to name— grief, it’s grief— and he doesn’t know how to respond so he doesn’t.
But it’s fine because his older brother— Touya-nii— keeps talking, voice choked.
“I wish I could’ve known you.”

The batfam playing Never Have I Ever as a bonding activity.
Jason, purposely targeting Dick n thinking he’s got him because he also believes in the promiscuous rumors, saying “Never have I ever.. had a bodycount larger than 5!”
Tim quietly putting a finger down while everyone is expectantly looking at Dick until Steph points him out
Tumblr media
Just the complete disbelief that TIM, out of all the siblings, is the one who gets down the most.
Personal headcanon that Tim is the one who gets around while Dicks only had sex with like 3 people and only when they were in a relationship.

A Tim Drake AU where crime alley loves him.
On the days he isn’t stalking the bats he’s out familiarizing himself with crime alley because it’s where Jason is from.
He badly tries to hide his wealth but it’s kinda hard to change mannerisms you didn’t even know belonged to a certain class and eventually just stops trying.
He doesn’t get a friendly reception at first. A rich kid in crime alley is either obvious bait or a pretentious asshole flaunting his higher status. But Tim starts bringing supply bags of good shit they can’t afford and keeps “losing” small bills and eventually the community thaws. They know who he actually is (public appearances suck) and still tentatively accept his presence.
The working girls hold conversations with him and the scattered gangs comprised of homeless teens/kids teach him all kinds of vulgarities because his reactions never get old. He gets familiar and comfortable and close and then Jason dies.
Jason dies and Tim has to stop visiting all together to try and keep a grieving man alive. He can’t find the time between school and training and patrolling to visit and it’s already been half a year before he can finally take a break and grieve.
His return is met with equal parts scorn and concern and he admits that the whole reason he got to know crime alley was because of Jason Todd, who he went to school with and who he might’ve had a crush on. He grieves with them over a boy he barely knew.
He visits more and creates fully funded programs with a separate identity and unsubtly vouches that they aren’t a scam. And maybe Robin visits sometimes too, when the Bat isn’t looking, and also vouchers for the programs and they all mistakenly assume Tim somehow knows Robin.
When Jason returns as The Red Hood he has to stop again. He texts Marissa, stripper name ‘Blossom’, that he doesn’t think the Red Hood would be too happy with a Bristol kid like him encroaching on his territory. People talk and word gets round and Hood gets thanks just as often as he gets dirty looks.

He’s afraid, he realizes. Afraid of becoming a hushed unspoken event like his mother, of becoming cruel like his father, of disappointing his uncle with his patricidal thoughts. But most of all, he’s afraid of shaming his people with a prince who won’t fight for them.
With the bandages covering both his eyes he’s blind, forced to be humiliatingly vulnerable. It’s bad enough he needs to assistance to get the bathroom and startles when someone forgets to announce their presence, he will feed his damn self, ignoring the times he misses his mouth and smears whatever it is across his face.
He gets his bandages off the very next week. His sight and hearing on his left side is all but gone and the fire, the heat, had injured his right too. It’s not that bad, everything is sorta blurry and he wouldn’t recognize someone if they were 80 feet away but it’s enough to read. He can still lead.
Had he not a crew who would be dragged down with him, he would’ve left the moment he healed to claim his throne. A banished prince is still a prince, he is still the heir. But he has a crew, no matter how disrespectful and rude they are outside of Iroh’s view they are his and will protect them like he should’ve the 41st.

out of curiosity, have you read anything batfam related other than fanon inspired fanfics?
Yeah? i’ve read little snippets here and there over the years but I wouldn’t be able to name where they’re from and I read the Red Robin comics like 3ish years ago? So I have but not a lot

The first time the Red Hood encounters Tim he doesn’t even know it’s him.
He’s out again, as ‘Rose’ this time, a tentatively flirty obviously too young girl who almost perfectly fits his current targets type.
He’s gotten better over the years. His disguises are perfect. So he isn’t surprised Red Hood doesn’t recognize him and actually prefers it. It’s awkward enough to be doing this for a group. He’s serviced a few men from the group before, is recognized by them because Rose always needs more money to help pay bills, but they aren’t as handsy this time and he’s thankful that Red Hoods presence and obvious disdain deters them.
The meeting passes as it always does and despite barely touching Rose, Red Hood generously tips her before leaving.
Tim Drake not being like the previous robins, in the sense that, he’s willing to give away too much of himself to fill the role. In the sense that, they had something that he just doesn’t.
and like, maybe that something is self preservation or maybe that something is hope.
younger Tim being exposed to the worst the internet has to offer because he has no one to stop him from looking. he’s already too old for his age, too observant and manipulative and fake and perfect because that’s the standard for a Drake. Going to galas and picking up on all the little innuendos and slimy comments that passed over his head previously and being disgusted but leaning into it a little if he knows it’ll help the company. Being cynical from a young age and finding out Batman and Robins identity and the world feels brighter for a brief moment in his life. It’s amazing for a while but like always he digs too deep, gets too curious, and the filter shatters when the second robin comes along and he’s too attached and his robin is dead.
He holds a grudge against Batman, watches a father self sabotage out of grief with something too dark to be good but steps in after the third victim he has to resuscitate. He plays the role of a starstruck but determined fanboy and adjusts as he goes along, minor adjustments here and there to keep the illusion alive and real.
But here, we come back to what he lacks. Because the previous Robins, despite what they saw and experienced and had to do to survive, were still young in way he isn’t, hasn’t been since ever.
He’s the smart one, the one that can lie to Batman and get away with it. He weighs the pros and cons, calculates the dangers and decides to go through with it anyway because he needs inside information to solve this case and it’s not like he hasn’t done something similar to close a deal for his company, this will just be further than what he’s previously done.
The club is loud and bright and crowded and he’s wearing way too little clothing and it itches and his feet hurt from the heels but he needs this information. So he leans into the wandering hands, lets his target guide his lips through a kiss they share, keeps his ears open in the mans lap as he lavishes his targets neck with teasing kisses and eventually, he gets what he needs. But he’s committed to his role, has to be if he’s gonna use it again, so when the meeting ends and the man drags him to a private room he follows and lets his inexperience shine through a little bit, bashful but eager to please. And maybe he scrubs his skin until it’s red and he burns the clothes but he closes the case and that’s what matters.

I need more of Smart!Chloe in fanfics. Her and Adrien bonding over being the children of very powerful and influential people. Both of them treating school like a vacation because their home lives (no matter what they want other people to think) are very busy and stressful. Adrien complaining about a rude photographer expecting Chloe to be sympathetic but instead she chimes in with her own bad experiences of said photographer.
Chloe having various little money makers, like a skin care line and fashion line and just being responsible for a lot because her mother expects her to be experienced despite her age and her father is too much of a pushover to deny her. Her not mentioning ANY OF IT at school because that’s her break time.
I REALLY need more of Sabrina and Chloe relationship being portrayed as equally beneficial. Like Sabrina is being paid to do her schoolwork and in return Chloe helps her dip her fingers into the business world.
I really just want Chloe to have more depth

his reaction to the blank, REFLECTIVE, dragon scroll being “It’s nothing!?”
I hate it when people try to compare Tai Lung and Tigress’s upbringings as a way to emphasize how evil he was because like, you can’t just do that! It doesn’t make sense to compare these two vastly different characters!
Tai Lung, from what we’ve seen, was literally raised with the assurance that he IS the dragon warrior. That he is this strong person training to handle this great power (dragon scroll). He bases his ENTIRE IDENTITY on being the dragon warrior, his entire WORTH. And shifu feeds into it!!! His father, his mentor, his everything basically, doesn’t try to warn him against this unhealthy mentality because he’s just as blind to it.
I personally headcanon that Tai Lung’s extreme reaction to being denied the dragon scroll was partly because of shifu’s reaction. He’s just been told, after training his entire life for this moment, that it was all for nothing and after looking to his father for guidance, he instead gets this look and a turned back. Instead of his father, THE PERSON WHO RAISED HIM FOR THIS, comforting him, he gets rejected.
You can’t just compare that to Tigress’s character, who is raised and trained beside others with the POSSIBILITY of being the dragon warrior.

The Gaang actually taking Zuko as their prisoner when he offers himself up.
Them feeding him a little less to keep him weak. Except, fire benders eat way more, like 2 grown man servings for every meal since they create their element, so they are unknowingly starving him.
Them keeping him locked in a room without a window to keep him weak because they think fire bending is similar to water bending, as in he’s stronger in the sun. Except, all the windowless rooms are underground and fire benders need to at least be near the sun to keep their inner fire strong, so they are unknowingly stifling his bending.
Zuko getting sick and weak and the Gaang having no idea why.

Tim (after he’s basically removed himself from the bat family because he thinks they all either hate him or are disappointed by him) craves attention. Like his childhood neglect on top of his self worth issues and he’s spent basically his entire life chasing after people (his parents, Robin, Batman, Ra’s to a certain degree) trying to get them to acknowledge him in some capacity.
Which is how he goes and becomes a camboy. Because these people want him, his attention, just as much he wants theirs. They pay money just to make him feel good and happy and his streams quickly become the best parts of his day.
He starts paying more attention to his surroundings, has quicker takedowns, gets hurt less, because he can’t show up on his stream with bruises or cuts or whatever injury he got.

Tim still loving Damian despite the animosity between them because that’s what it means to be family.
Tim secretly funding opportunities like field trips and in person visits at Damians school because he likes hearing Damian brag about his “superior school experience”, secretly donating to charities he hears Damian approve of, secretly and subtly encouraging Bruce to let Damian have as many pets as he wants.
Damian having no clue and thinking Tim hates him. Thinking he’s praying on his downfall, just waiting for the moment he slips up to kick him out.

Zuko choosing to teach Aang differently, softer, than how he was taught. The palace was basically abusive and he earned a lot of his scars from his tutors. Like even with Iroh it was hard and strict and he was practically miserable the entire time.
Him going through hellish teachers and thinking it’s normal but still teaching Aang gently. He teaches Aang fire like it’s kind and not just powerful. Takes inspiration from he had to relearn firebending and overcome his own fears.
The others (excluding Toph who thinks he could be harsher) think he’s being too strict but they don’t understand and he can’t make them. He brushes it off and nonchalantly mentions that his own tutors were worse, that they would think him weak for how he’s teaching, and he doesn’t mention it again.

Palace teachers or tutors or whatever they are being really strict. like genuinely abusive strict. and Zuko and Azula growing up in that environment where failure will earn them scars and scorn. Both of them adapted and surviving and just thinking it’s normal and maybe it’s harsher on them, maybe lower classes have it easier but they are royalty. They have an image to uphold and maybe the lower classes are taught strictly as well because the Fire Nation has an image to uphold too.
Azula growing up without her brother there to take majority of the abuse because she’ll always look better when stood next to him, shine brighter. Resentment building every day that passes in which she silently struggles and is openly punished. Hating her family for leaving her and her father for making it happen. Gritting her teeth as she’s burned for getting ONE high officials name wrong and vowing to return the pain tenfold so he knows the depth of her loathing. Swearing that when she rules, it’ll be different, she’ll be different
Zuko growing up on a ship crowded with adult rejects who disrespect him to his face, only cowering and stepping back in face of his uncle. Relearning how to do the most basic of things cause he’s half blind and deaf now, a parting gift. Forcing himself to overcome his fear of his own fire. Traveling the world and stubbornly trying to ignore how everyone hates the fire nation, trying to ignore the orphans and scars and burnt crops and buildings. Trying to ignore it all but he can’t. Vowing that he’ll be different, that when he catches the avatar and returns home, when he’s stronger, he’ll change it.

Imagining Tim being so excited that he has another brother, a younger brother. Because he can’t already fuck up with this one like he did with the others. Except Damian tries to kill him and hates his guts and maybe he just isn’t built for family.
