Besties…sexualizing Caitlyn (and/or Vi) still…isn’t ok just bc they’re fictional. I see it specifically with Caitlyn a lot, where people sexualize her chest size, or make comments like “I wish she left her buttons undone” and that’s still. Not okay. Like, sexualizing ANYONE isn’t okay, but to see it happen specifically with a large bust woman is really uncomfortable. Harassment is something that happens to thick/large busted women all the time IRL, and it’s still harassment. Caitlyn seemed uncomfortable in the mf brothel scene, and she *likes* Vi. Treating a character who doesn’t even show interest in sexualizing herself, the way that the fandom (often) treats her, is really weird.

Hi! Great question.

I’ve always thought of Caitlyn to have ace vibes, based on her calm, composed self. I really like her contrast with Vi in that sense, but it also gives her more *romantic* sort of vibes, instead of anything past that. I view her as someone who would be empathetic, romantic, and sweet - but not anything else.

The actual evidence however comes from Arcane in the brothel scene in particular. Even before the whole scene between her and Vi, she seems uncomfortable and put off at the thought of even being in a brothel in the first place. Then when Vi does push her against the wall in that teasing manner, she seems more like she’s having a concerned ace panic than anything else.

Caitlyn always initiates hugs with people in the Undercity, she always initiates a caring, kind motion between herself and others. With Vi, who she’s known to like in a romantic way, she still keeps this form of communication. She keeps everything sweet, and romantic, but she never has any hint of anything past that. Vi on the other hand, has shown signs of this. Both with teasing Caitlyn in the brothel, and pushing her against the wall - this counters Caitlyn, and makes her reluctance more obvious.

The last thing I’ll say is that her Zaun outfit actually has several of the “ace” colors in it, and that just makes me happy lol. Not evidence, but a fun note! I’m always welcome to discuss my ace Cait theory, I love my girl 💜🖤
