Title: Older Brother Xingqiu
Character(s): Xingqiu (Genshin impact)
Summary: Modern au; Xingqiu was always alone. Ever since he was born, his parents were always away, busy on a business trip abroad. Xingqiu didn't care. He always thought that his books were more than enough for him. Till he saw you, his little sister.
Warnings/Tags: Yandere themes (platonic yandere), very protective and maybe a little obsessive, edited and proofread after a year ^^'
Note: There is a small part 2 to this in the masterlist~!
Son of the CEO of a trading company, his family was never really in his life much. His parents do love their youngest son, trying their best to be with him whenever they could, but with the piles of paperwork, contracts and appointments, it was rather obvious to anybody who knew them that they were rather vacant in Xingqiu’s life.
Xingqiu didn’t blame them for it. He understood why they weren't there for a lot of his life, he appreciates the rare time that he could spend with them, but it never changed the fact that there was this akward barrier between them.
His brother was the same case. One would think that they would bond by the fact that it was just them with only the servants in the house. But in reality, his brother was a rather busy person only making time for work or study.
Xingqiu’s brother after was to inherit the company in the future and worked hard to be able to hold that mantle when it happened. Most of his brother’s days were spent learning and studying in his room and later studying abroad away from home.
Xingqiu didn’t care. He didn’t really have sentimental feelings on whether or not they could have made a proper relationship between the both of them. They understood each other enough as it is. They both liked this personal space between them, not too close but also not far away.
Instead similar to his brother Xinqiu stayed in his room, reading book after book fascinated by the other worlds that other people created in their minds or wisdom and knowledge that Xingqiu once didn’t know but now do. If not that he would spend time with his friends at school. Trying out Xiangling's cooking or teasing his friend Chonyun.
Xingqiu was mildly surprised when his parents told him that they were expecting another baby, a daughter in particular. Xingqiu wondered what his little sister would be like when she would grow up in such a house like this. But it was your own problem, not his, he thought as he returned to reading a book that he found rather interesting that time.
Well, that was until you were in his arms, wrapped around in a white towel. Sleeping quietly after having cried so much.
How clear your eyes were, innocent and bright. Xingqiu just continued to stare at you, and rather than become uncomfortable, you giggled, just smiling and making small happy noises as if you were greeting him.
He didn’t understand what he felt towards you. Something was pulling in his heart as he held you in his arms. For a moment, he didn’t even realize that he was in the hospital or his parents and doctors smiling and him and you, finding the picture rather lovely. All he could see was you.
His little sister.
Xingqiu started to look at how to take care of babies, read books, and research the internet on how to care for you. Maybe because he already knew… he already knew that his and your parents would abandon you too as they did with him in some sense. And that he was the only one who could actually take care of you.
When he watched his parents plan on taking you with them on their next trip, he panicked. He tried to reason that bringing you wasn’t really a good idea and that you would be a bother from your work. With airplanes and business meetings, it would only be the same if they were to take you or not as they would still end up leaving you with a nanny.
He told them that he could take care of you and that he would be the big brother he was supposed to be. His parents watched this young boy not even ten years old, almost begging them to stay let him stay with you, and even if they were hesitant, it warmed their hearts that Xingqiu was asking them for something like this. That he also cares so much about you.
They didn’t see their son’s gaze almost obsessively towards you, they could not see it and they left after saying goodbye with their heart filled with a little guilt for leaving their daughter when she was so young yet at the same time relief that their second son finally took interest in something else. They didn’t want to admit that, in a sense, their young boy was right. Bringing you with them to work would cause worry and unneeded stress as they can't focus on their work alone. It was almost scary that their child could see through them, but they pushed their thoughts away.
It was adorable after all, a boy who they loved could not help but worry that his only interest was books and reading and nothing else most of the time, sure he had friends that he got along with but he was quiet when he was at home. Seeing him look at you so fondly made them give in and let the boy do as he please, asking the nanny of the house to take care of you while they were gone.
After all, it was true that they weren't sure if they could actually look after you properly even if they do take you with them.
Xingqiu, on the other hand, was delighted that he was able to keep you to himself. Sure, there was the nanny, but looking at you, he really just fell in love with you as his sister. He would tell you bedtime stories, talk to you as if he understood you when all you could do was babble. The nanny and other maids had sent a few videos and pictures of you and Xingqiu together to your parents and would coo at how cute you guys were.
The first time Xingqiu asked the nanny if he could feed you, his hand was shaky as he wondered if this mushed up food was cooled enough for you to eat but slowly he started to have confidence and would nag you if you started to make a mess with the food when you would just laugh as you made more of a mess on the table. He would dab your mouth with his handkerchief, then patiently clean your hands, and after that, feed you again.
He would do anything to keep you with him. He would flip someone’s world to keep you safe, screaming at a maid one time when she dropped a precious jar that was worth billions, one so close to you. The money he didn't care about, yet when he saw the small cut on your cheek, he wasn't able to hold back his anger.
You were, after all, his little princess. And he would do anything to keep you safe even if he must lock you up or push people away from you.

The Inure timeline is set in ancient Inazuma, some time after the Archon War.
Inspired by the Irodori Festival, our favorite present day characters (Venti, Xingqiu, Kazuha, Ayaka and Scaramouche/Kunikuzushi) will be representing The Five Kasen.
While developing the plot for Inure, I had to take quite a lot of creative liberties as information regarding The Five Kasen in general are rather limited. I had to make some adjustments for the sake of the story as well (Aoi no Okina's age for example) so readers from future, please don't come at me with a pitchfork if I screw something up lol. I'd also be really happy if anyone shared their thoughts!

May I request a platonic x reader where the reader is (Twisted Wonderland) Idia and Ortho’s sister and she’s the middle child?
Hehehehe, this seem familiar from that Cyberpunk!Yuu thing from @twistedoverbloat and the Shroud siblings thing from someone with spongebob and patrick icon, but I'll make them a cute one out if this with some Angst in it
I say between Idia and Ortho, y'all's are closely one year apart, making some people wonder how busy yalls parents must be having you three to have close of an age difference
Growing up you three are thick as thives and only friends together at home, playing games , having snacks, naps, and even occasionally you guys have that time to venture together
Till the incedent, as you guys to have that adventure together as Idia is the eldest and heir of the Shroud family and not to mention a child protege, the three didn't know the danger lurking around S.T.Y.X. until it's too late
They lost Ortho as they try to run from this bolt like creature, what's more that their sister nearly fully lost their ability to see
To say the guilt that Idia have is alot to the point that in his greaving mind as a child he built a new Ortho
Not to mention the trama that will later revealed in chapter 6, but let's not mention of the incident that made him who he is as I theories that the reason why he's bit of a shut in
When learning about his sister blindness he made something to help her "see" again
He made some glasses
When the sister did woke up the shock of loosing Ortho is alot to take in
And result they both are shut in to a degree that different for the two
They both try make things normal, even with Idia short span a madness of guilt
Yuu accept the fact later on and keep on having that little brother hold dear as they all went to NRC together
Unlike Idia they keep on showing up to class and hand around with Ortho with Idia on the tablet to keep on track
The two brothers are protective over their sister due to the fact that they are the only female in the school of boys
To the point where Idia watch things with the cameras he secretly put up to follow his sister incase something happens and if she needs some help
And his protectiveness slowly came out when he sees her talking to some people ( Adeuces since they are first years ) and seem to get along with them
As he witness with the growing braincell crew that his sister is opening up emotionally
While he just there, as the two other siblings try to come with them, but he is too stubborn and doesn't want to interaction with normies

They still try to get him out of his room to touch grass, feel the sun, breath fresh air once in awhile and get him out of his room

To say the chapter 6 is a supprise for the sister as they too got captured and being held at SPYX because she is Idia sibling
What's more after defeating the titans and get over from his overbolt
( as Idia overbolting is a huge supprise for her to say the least )
After the event the two are recovering as siblings and relationship
And Idia is trying not to be a shut in but stick being introvert as he hates being with people
But he's now working on with his anxiety

- Look, after Riddle's overbolt, he realized that it wasn't just him who was affected by his mother's manipulation, but you were affected by it too
-During your childhood, he sort of failed to be a good big brother in order to follow his mother’s rules, but now that he’s come to his senses, he’s gonna try to make up for the lost time
-He’s trying his best your honor
-Now, I don’t think he would be those overprotective brother at first, but have you seen the NRC students?? While some of them are nice, like Kalim, some of them well…really get on his nerves (Floyd)
-While Ace is from his dorm, he’s one of the students that Riddle can’t really stand sometimes. His list of students that he doesn’t particually like just had to include your so called lover, Floyd Leech
-When you first started dating Floyd, you didn’t want your relationship to be public because you were scared of how Riddle would react
-We know that Riddle is a changed man after his overbolt, so you didn’t really worry what he would do to you, but rather what he would do to Floyd
-Floyd was upset that he couldn't act like he was dating you in public, but he respected your decisions
-He did mention it to Jade and Azul; he just forgot to mention the part where it wasn’t supposed to be known to the public

Props to you for keeping your relationship a secret from Riddle for 2 weeks. No, but you made sure to keep this hidden—you told a few friends(that weren’t from Heartslabyul)about it, you kept his contact name the same, and you even timed how long you could look at Floyd during lunch before it got too obvious.
On the other hand, Floyd did everything to try to make you flustered around your brother. Two days into your relationship, he tried to hug you after basketball practice, but you moved out of the way. The next day, when you ate lunch with the Heartslabyul group, he tried putting his arm around you, but you swatted his arm away and pretended as if he was shooing a bee. It was a long week.
Today, you were both eating lunch on the bench in the school's garden. You lied, saying you were going to eat lunch with your friends, while Floyd lied about having to help Azul again.
"Ne~ Angel fish, you know that goldfish has to know eventually," Floyd says.
"Mmm... I don't think so," you pout, "you've seen how he is whenever you 'play' with him. It doesn't make it any better that he absolutely loathes you."
"So you're never going to tell him?" he asks, feeding you some of his own lunch while pouting.
You take the time while chewing to think about when the appropriate time is to tell Riddle about it.
"I'm sorry, Floyd, we could be married with kids and I still wouldn't be able to tell them."
Floyd suddenly had a big grin on his face. "Marriage and kids, huh?" and you thwacked his forehead. "In your dreams," you said, laughing.
“what in the twisted wonderland is going on in here?!”
You and Floyd turn your heads to see an annoyed Riddle approaching the two of you. At that point all you could think about is how screwed you are.

the voice was soft and airy, akin to your brother's when he was first waking up in the morning or your mother's when she wasn't in her work mode (which was very rare at this point). when you looked up, you were greeted with another cecaelia.
their skin was dark, almost pitch black. their tentacles had bright blue tips that seemed to glow in the water. however, as opposed to your tentacles, theirs were connected with thin webbing. their hair was a rusty red color, their curls bobbing in the water and covering their right eye. the one eye you could see was crystal blue, wide and full of curiosity just like your brother. two fins stuck out from their curls, drooping a bit to their sea floor.
"how'd you do that?" they repeated, pointing at the water that swirled in towards the paper.
you couldn't say anything at first. be it because you were afraid of interaction or because you genuinely had no idea what you just did, you weren't sure. but, no matter the cause, your silence seemed to only stoke the flames of the cecaelia's curiosity.
"i've never seen magic like that..." they muttered, drifting down to the seafloor in front of you. they settled down, their tentacles resting on the sand. "what was it?"
"um..." you managed to utter, your hand shakily reaching out to grab your pen. "i-i don't... um..."
"can you do it again?" they asked, seemingly unphased by your stammering. they stared at you, their single blue eye that you could see wide with amazement. "please?"
you could only nod and grab another spare piece of paper. you flipped it over, brushing it off as a simple contract draft your mother had written in her spare time, and began scribbling on the paper again. you made the same sigil, an s surrounded by arrows and a single, large circle.
immediately, the same reaction occurred. a vortex formed, swirling about and dragging the water and seaweed closer to the paper. the cecaelia beamed from fin to fin, clapping their hands excitedly like a child.
"your magic is so cool!" they cheered, their eye seemingly sparkling as they stared at you.
"th...thank you..." you mutter under your breath. the cecaelia smiled softly at you, finally noticing your nervousness.
"i'm hemming." they introduced, holding out their hand. "it's nice to meet you!"
"...(name)." you whispered, slowly and shakily taking their hand in yours. "nice to... meet you, too..."
hemming was nice. and curious. you liked that about them. with your brother slowly drifting away from you in favor of his magical studies and the tweels, hemming somehow filled his place in your heart. they reminded you of azul with their wide-eyed fascination for all things in the world.
hemming's visits motivated you to work harder, as well. it seems both you and azul got your hard-working diligence from your mother. each time hemming swam their way over to you, you would have a new sigil to show them. and, no matter how small and mundane the spell was, hemming rewarded you with amazed cheers and genuine cries of awe.
however, you did wonder where exactly hemming came from. you had seen plenty of merpeople come and go, but you never knew where they went when the time for two to part came.
"hemming." you called to them one day. "where do you live? is it far?"
"mm, a bit..." hemming hummed, their voice trailing off near the end. "...promise you won't freak out?"
"i promise."
hemming paused once more. they were nervous, maybe just as nervous as you were when you first met them. they took a quick glance around as if making sure no one was listening.
they looked back at you.
then took one more glance around.
"...the abyss." hemming whispers. the moment that name leaves their lips, a chill runs down through your tentacles.
your mother had only mentioned the abyss once. it was where your father would move to once the divorce was finalized.
hemming fidgeted under your gaze. and the longer you stared, the more they trembled.
"i'm sorry... i... i'll go--"
"no!" you don't know what compelled you to cry out or to grab their wrist. but you did. and hemming stared back at you with wide eyes. and the next words that fell from your lips shocked you more than they did hemming.
"can i visit?"
hemming swam home that night pleasantly surprised. they had tried to make friends before, but never once did they find one that was willing to go to the abyss. they were certain that the moment the question of where they lived came up, they were bound to lose a friend again.
but not this time.
and so, as they swam home, their thoughts had a single cecaelia floating about. a single, magical cecaelia.
"hemming?" ah, they hadn't realized they were home already.
their brother stood above them, towering over them as he always did. his thin and frail-looking tentacles floated beneath him, dragging across the endless floor of black. their hair fell in front of their face in long strands, framing their frail face.
"what's got your head in the seas today?" his brother asked quietly.
"oh, nothing." hemming grinned. "i just... made a really good friend."

this is like 80% a joke bc i forgor how epel acts. warning very frequent cursing
you know how siblings are. i hope you do
because epel can and Will get competitive with you. even if it's a small thing, he will try and compete with you by even just a little bit. very little. you won't even know he was trying to win over the bigger pancake just for you to get a smaller one (and have some pride in himself)
bedtimes as kids consisted of stories from your lovely meemaw and a fairly disruptive epel. ever since childhood, this guy is insufferable... in the way that he Will reinforce the fact there is something under your bed
however if you do wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, you can shake epel awake. he will get a little mad at first but he will try (keyword:try) to calm you down (it still works though even if it's a pretty messily worded comfort)
you know, getting into the Same Dorm as your Over-competitive Older Brother and watching him get put in his place (or forcibly put down????) by some guy Vil Schoenheit who Just so happens to be your dorm leader was definitely Not the experience you were expecting when you got into nrc.
quite a shock to see epel Not be his usual loud self when you've known this man all your life. genuinely. because you two are siblings that Somehow get along (and vil is very well aware of that)
vil fears you both. maybe educates both of you as well. i don't know, are you just like epel? do you Cause Trouble just for the shits and giggles? if so, yeah, vil's getting wrinkles seeing both of you paired up for mischief. but it's fun though! go stupid go crazy (just expect some wild scolding later)
now ever since childhood this guy would fight. he can and will fight anyone for his sibling at any cost. he's pretty much the only guy that can make fun of you and be alright with it (if you don't like it he would stop bc he's not 100% an asshole) BUT if anyone else does, it's on sight
bc if someone hurts you, it hurts epel too (and guess what happens when someone hurts epel? that's right, physical violence)

you know how epel tries to act manly? he will around you too However just protecting you will make him feel manly already. so he likes to stand up for you even if you can throw hands yourself

overall, fish want you, people fear you. congratulations! (aka: it's fun having epel as your sibling. he cares a lot for you, despite how it looks on the outside. when it comes to teaming up, you two are pretty much almost unstoppable. just watch out for vil.)
now for some specific special stuff for andy here
adding onto the competitive part thing here, epel's pretty damn competitive with you when it comes to games. a claw machine? a shoot the stick exactly in the hole kind of game? any game that has some sort of big toy reward for successfully passing? you bet he will get real competitive with you if you try it
especially stuffed toy claw machines. those things are rigged and many of you know it, but epel believes he can get it. (100% totally not for you since you like stuffed toys... (sarcasm) besides getting it adds to his pride okay)
now, i think epel would call a lot of interests childish. especially stuffed toys. but only he can call it childish okay? if someone else does it, the last thing they will see is a fist flying towards them at maybe like 50mph or more
"you have stuffed toys? kinda childish" he says as he attempts to win the plush toy in the crane machine and fails miserably
if ace said that however, he's done for. Goodbye Ace, it was nice being your friend...
he makes bets with you that whoever wins the claw machine gets to keep the plush toy. he ends up giving it to you though if he wins, since he's "too manly" for plush toys (aka: refusing to admit he got it for you and to add to his pride of course)
...though, you've spent a little too much on that claw machine. vil, i'm sorry....

"Back again, Mr. Spade?"
Melody laughed, leaning on the counter with her red-and-blue eyes twinkling. The white pupil glittered like the star it resembled.
"Ninth time this week, and it's only Wednesday."
Deuce Spade coughed to the side but anyone could see the tips of his ears were bright red.
"E-Erm...is she here today?"
Melody shrugged, purple bangs covering the amusement seen in her unique irises.
"I don't know, why don't you go and ask her?"
"Is who here?" A sweet voice called out and Deuce squeaked before his eyes widened in disbelief. Nevia stepped out of the staff room, having just taken her break, while tying the ends of her barista apron.
"O-oh! Hello Deuce," Neiva gave him a beam that made his heartbeat thump funnily but her cheeks were feathered with bright red. "W-what would you like to order?"
Deuce's throat suddenly went dry as he stared into Neiva's dreamy eyes. Eyes that haunt him in his sleep, yet he welcomed it with wide arms. Eyes that never failed to bring him a sense of warmth yet caused his heart to race like a rabbit running out of time...
"D-Deuce?"
The way she said his name, could she do that over and over again?
Deuce would never get tired of it.
"I'm just going to leave you two lovebirds," Melody coughed before waving goodbye. The spade-eyed boy blinked before actually registering Neiva's words.
'I really didn't think this through,' Deuce thought to himself as he scanned the menu. Words just floated across his eyes but it's like his brain was lagging because he couldn't even register the words.
"If you want, I'd recommend the egg tart with a side of hot chocolate," Neiva smiled sweetly at him. "I-I remember how you love eggs."
His eyes widened. She remembered?
It was just a silly thing. Something back from when they first began school in Night Raven College and him and Ace got into slight trouble. Trey had offered to bake a tart for them and one thing led to another, causing him to spill his love for eggs.
"Sure," Deuce beamed at her. "I'd love that!"
Neiva coughed to the side, blushing.
"Y-Yeah, I'll get on it!"
As Neiva scurried away, her cheeks burned at the close encounter she had with Deuce. She half-cursed, half-thanked Siren (the director of Cafe Amor) for making the barista counter so not wide because it allowed her to stare into Deuce's eyes as he attempted to respond. His bright cyan eyes, one of them framed with black eyeliner and his signature spade...dear Sevens he was gorgeous.
'Focus!' Neiva rapidly patted her flaming cheeks, willing them to go away before she had to face Deuce again. 'Oh my Sevens- what is up with me today?!'
"Here you go," Neiva handed him the bag and when he took it, she could feel tingles as their fingers made contact.
"Thanks! I'll treasur- I mean! I'll enjoy it!" Deuce stuttered before scurrying away. Neiva gaped at his slowly-shrinking figure in the distance, hand still stretched.
"You know."
Neiva spun around to meet her senior, Melody's eyes. The purple-and-black haired girl pointed to the shrinking figure of Deuce.
"He's been coming here almost everyday, the moment it's lunch and break," Melody gave the blushing girl a sneaky grin. "It's always obvious that he's trying to get a glimpse of you!"
"Melody!" Neiva squealed, hands slapping over her face and steam could be seen floating out of her ears. "S-Stop!"
Her senior laughed.
"Ah, young love."
