i think a really interesting AU would be one where Kyo isn't affected by the bond due to the Cat being explicitly left out of the zodiac circle back when the bond was created. sure, he turns into an animal like the rest of them, but he isn't drawn to Akito, isn't directly connected to her, and she can't sense him like the rest of the zodiacs. i think it could create more of a rift between Kyo and the other zodiacs, serving as yet another thing that makes it easy for them to see him as Other and Less Than, and it'd add a layer to Akito's interest in him - if she had no subliminal connection to him that forces him to stay, then he could leave at any time, and we all know how Akito handles the possibility of someone leaving her (even someone she hates and looks down on).

not to mention it would theoretically allow someone to take Kyo and bail at any point, which, let's be real, is the biggest draw for writing this AU in the first place.

1. his birthday is november 28th & he's a sagittarius sun, leo moon, and scorpio rising! ♐

2. he actually runs a blog where he reviews movies! it's very lowkey, it's not anything he pushes or promotes, and other than whoever discovers it through the google algorithm, only his wife and closest friends know about it. however, even though it isn't a super ambitious venture, he also takes his reviews SO seriously. they're whole ass essays with screencaps and drawn out musings on the movie's inspirations and themes and all that, and he'll wait like a whole week between watching a movie and writing about it so it fully sinks in

(speaking of which, his favorite movie is "a bittersweet life" by kim jee-woon!)

3. his first job (and the job that sustained him through college and when he was still starting out as a professional photographer) was at a gas station, and it was a very unique experience. the amount of stories he has from those days is wild lmao. for one, some guy tried to rob the store at gunpoint and henry just said, "nope," and went back to looking at his phone, and it just totally demoralized the guy enough that he gave up and left

I'm kind of in love with the fact this is the same woman.

Vega's kinda of an antagonist? She genuinely, passionately, wants to transcend the typical zodiacs. Which there's nothing wrong with, it is the goal of all zodiacs. But she seeks forbidden techniques, techniques which mirror nuclear fusion. She wants to use it to generate her own etheric energy instead of relying on the passed down energy from the stars.

She loves the stars too and knows that love is what should fuel the craft. But so many zodiacs around her seemed to only care about flairs, the extra sensory powers that came with mastery. She's achieved several levels of mastery, and never got one. And perhaps her research of forbidden techniques is because she took it into her own hands to get a flair.
