what i think the marauders would wear to the eras tour - couples edition (plus pandora because i refuse to exclude her)
james + regulus: james would dress as sunshine and regulus would dress as midnight rain. glitter & sparkles everywhere, regulus in customised doc matrens and james in yellow converse. which is kinda self explanatory.
sirius + remus: sirius would dress as miss americana and remus would dress as the heartbreak prince. sirius would have a tiara and a pretty pink dress and heels, and remus would be wearing a navy-ish suit with broken hearts sewn on with a crown and his normal black doc martens.
marlene + dorcas: marlene would be wearing a replica of taylor’s “22” outfit with those new high heeled converse and dorcas would wear a replica of taylor’s reputation outfit (which pandora made for her) with custom bejewelled heels.
barty + evan: barty and evan would be dressed as twin flames (“did the twin flame bruise paint you blue”) in fire emoji costumes with orange and yellow glitter all over them. they’d both have bedazzled cowboy boots, courtesy of dorcas.
lily + mary: lily would be dressed in her own version of taylor’s green folklore dress, with matching light green embroidered converse. mary would be wearing a dupe of taylor’s orange evermore dress with some soft brown cowboy boots.
pandora: pandora would be wearing a baby pink prom dress that has blue, darker pink & red hearts scattered throughout it (she made it herself) with cute little pink heels and a flower crown that she made herself from her garden.

I feel like a lot of the tracks sounded too similar and there wasn't much experimentation (??)
which I think is a problem with the whole double album thing SWIFTIES DONT COME FOR ME I LOVE HOW SHE GAVE US TWO ALBUMS LIKE THANKS FOR FEEDING US MOTHER but idk I feel like there could've been more effort put into the instrumentals and because there were just too many songs she probably didn’t have much time to focus on each of them (assuming that she originally planned the double album thing from the very beginning)

yes yes i agree w you def on how there wasnt much experimentation!! at least that’s how i fell about most of the first half :/ like…the instrumentals were really boring and just generic synth pop, also her vocals were sooo flat like i was kind of scared ab that bc i felt like her vocals on speak now tv were a lil lackluster as well (like theres no change in inflection? or ig the attitude in her voice she used to have that kept it lively? i get a more laid back singing style works for some songs but she be singing like that a lil too much for my taste hhaha)
there are exceptions to this though in the 2nd half, like imgonnagetyouback vocals were SO GOOD i loved the way she articulated the lyrics in that one. but overall 2nd half of album was a lot better n more experimental n risk taking than the first half, and the songs that i DID like were like top tier swift imo haha but a lot of the songs i just dont care for at all
but yea totally agree w you i think w this album she did a lot of quantity over quality?? like if she honed more in on certain songs and cleaned up the album for it to be a bit more concise it would’ve been a nicer release 🤷🏻♀️ but oh well
but the LYRICS for the most part are great n yea overall i still think it’s a good album

imo, I see that they both were there for each other and also weren’t there for each other (including taylor). and that’s why they’re not together today. as anon said, nobody is the bad guy. and I don’t see many people on tumbler making ja a saint - far from it, ahem “yogurt boy”, but I think it’s fair when people point out when others try to rewrite history about this relationship which is most definitely happening.
It takes two to tango - both of them did something or choose something for this to not work anymore. And if they both chose their career - it's OKAY. Taylor did chose to do this tour even though she knows she wont have all the time in the world to see him.
My point is - the people in my inbox keeps on making excuses for the events he missed. And I don't think its necessary? Me saying those things isn't painting Joe as the bad guy. I am simply pointing out what is very evident since we don't really have anything to hold on to. Like I keep on saying - we don't know anything.
You might be following the wrong blogs - yes some swifties are throwing Joe under the bus but I do have people in my inbox who is saying nasty things about Taylor. I have a bunch of blogs that I liked that I unfortunately unfollowed because they are being so rude at Taylor and is evidently siding at Joe.

Honestly you don’t have any right to call a family toxic and this isn’t even coming from a swiftie perspective but you just can’t call a whole ass family toxic just because they are business minded and competitive and shit. Andrea didn’t force Taylor to join showbiz or ever pressured her into doing anything nor did Scott she was the one who pressured them to take her to Nashville because she wanted it SO bad. Andrea is obviously super different to Anne who’s just a softie mummy to Harry while Andrea is a softie mummy but she’s also her hardcore business manager and career handler that doesn’t mean it’s toxic between them. Same with her Dad they have so many wholesome moments like him giving out guitar picks and shit. With Austin it doesn’t seem toxic at all lmfao I think he realised from a younger age that Taylor is gifted and like she’s the it child of the family with a real vision at a young age and his parents decided to follow her dreams with her and I don’t think it bothers him that he works for his sister. Maybe I’m projecting but my Dad has a family business and my brother and I don’t have the same business mind as my elder sister who my Dad taught all the business to so now we essentially work for her lol because she is our CEO. I agree our family gatherings are also business meetings but that legit doesn’t mean we are toxic at all. You just can’t know family dynamics by looking from the outside like ever we can guess about Joe and Taylor’s relationship dynamic by looking from the outside but family dynamics idk lol. Austin imo doesn’t get compared to Taylor at their family gatherings and seeing their home videos I think they’re a super cute and wholesome family and all of them love Tay a lot lol it doesn’t seem toxic. Throwback Thursday: Bad Things MV
I’ve always felt an intense connection of Camren with the Bad things Music Video, mostly because it started the whole rose is our thing legend. But I found some more things that are really intriguing.
To me, it was a parting gift from Camila, to her beloved. She laid the whole music video with Easter eggs in real Swiftie style, and it’s really endearing. I’ll come back to tell the whole message of the video though.

So here’s what I think:
The MV represents the toxic relationship between Camila and Lauren. In a soundcheck question, Lauren said that she’d like a No Way music video to happen, where there’d be a real storyline of two lovers with cinematic shots. Well the Bad Things MV was where it came to life. Like Lauren’s description of this “toxic relationship” the Bad Things MV is essentially two lovers who “wanna be together but can’t make it but they try to make it work”. Also like Camren, they’re outlaws. The police represent management. When the two lovers are tried to be separated by “authorities”, they jump off the building. It’s like defying everyone to be together.
a single pink rose is also a symbol of love at first sight.

2) It was directed by Hannah Lux Davis. The same woman who directed the Miss Movin On video. Not interesting? Well she directed Camila’s first music video ever and knows Lauren as well.
Well so that’s it. I think the MV is pretty awesome and so is the song. It was fetus solo Camila. Very Gay. Very Top energy. And MGK is so cool. It’s her best collab imo. She also incorporated Lauren’s coat which is cute. And thus the rose legend was born.

kaylor oomfs avert your eyes 😞
i get asked from time to time “why don’t you like kaylor, why don’t you like karlie, why do you think kaylor isn’t together? why aren’t you and ttb married yet?” and i think it’s high time i centralize my thoughts and receipts on all of that in a little timeline of shady things karlie has done to taylor that have made me wary of kaylor/karlie/that whole situation. don’t read if you stan kaylor this isn’t for you (unless you know you’re interested in the truth.)
first things first, i do think something romantic happened between kaylor go read @swiftiesleuth‘s realistic kay timeline for what i (generally) think happened between them.
but long story short - i think joshlie is real, i think they weren’t all that serious at the beginning, she famously didn’t meet his family for years, he didn’t take her to work events for a long time, so there’s room for her to have a fling with taylor even though we ended up with a real joshlie endgame.
taylor’s music and art supports this theory - in the wd mv she paints herself as the other woman, on rep she sings of secret sexy sex with her best friend that drives her crazy, in cruel summer she sings of a miserable, secret, and toxic situation with a person who rejects her love, in illicit affairs and august again she is the other woman - the art matches up. she also sings about her sunshine being gone on lover, and eclipsed on folklore. we have good clues in taylor’s artistic expression.
taylor’s given interviews about some of these karlie songs - she said cruel summer was about the start to a “doomed” relationship and look at what she said about august:
“It kind of explores the idea of the undefined relationship. As humans, we're all encouraged to just be cool and just let it happen, and don't ask what the relationship is — Are we exclusive? But if you are chill about it, especially when you're young, you learn the very hard lesson that if you don't define something, oftentimes they can gaslight you into thinking it was nothing at all, and that it never happened. And how do you mourn the loss of something once it ends, if you're being made to believe that it never happened at all?”
if joshlie is real which i think they are that 100% sounds like taylor having to process being gaslit by karlie while she cheats on josh with her.
so why do i think joshlie is real?
- josh has no credible gay rumors that didn’t originate on gaylor tumblr: he has old ex gfs that came before karlie, harvard message boards gossiped about him and didn’t like him but never said that he was gay, in fact one of the complaints josh’s schoolmates had about him was that he got special treatment for her girlfriend at parties.
- as stated before taylor’s art suggests she’s been the other woman with someone in her life recently. if josh and karlie are beards then what is the affair? why is taylor the other woman so often all of a sudden?
- i’ve spoken to someone with a mutual friend with the kushners - grain of salt of course, i know you can only trust stuff you hear from me with no proof so much, but i do absolutely trust this person and they say - no way in hell is joshlie fake, no way in hell is josh gay, no way in hell is karlie having taylor’s baby. also karlie absolutely has moved down to miami with josh. i’m sure we’ll see her in nyc and la from time to time but she is living in miami now.
- vicky ward, who is a real investigative journalist not some unhinged person on tumblr, wrote a tell all about the kushners. she uncovered gay rumors about josh’s father and josh’s brother but not josh. she had actual sources and was legitimately digging up tons of dirt on these people and not a word about josh being gay or joshlie being fake.
- yes karlie did convert to judaism. it’s really offensive to suggest she didn’t. of course she always could have done it for personal reasons but occam’s razor dictates she did it for josh i don’t know what else to tell you 🤷♀️
- also just vibes. karlie writes him love notes and leaves them with his breakfast. they make playlists for one another. if the kushners weren’t so heinous they’d be cute.
so in the joshlie is real world view i inhabit, i don’t stan kaylor the same way i do swiftgron because i don’t think kaylor was ever a committed monogamous relationship. important and impactful on taylor’s life? absolutely. inspired some amazing music? 100%. but was is true and tragic love that drives me insane and makes me feral? no. i don’t believe so. is it still an interesting and iconic ship? yes! but i don’t stan because it wasn’t like...true love or gay shit like that.
so let’s talk about karlie’s screwups that 1. assure me kaylor is not together and 2. make me have no desire to stan karlie/kaylor.
1. after the kimye drama (something that deeply traumatized taylor we now know thanks to miss americana) karlie said she was sure kim was a lovely person 😭 now i know she walked it back and tweeted she and taylor had one another’s backs. i know karlie was just trying to be diplomatic. but come on...if someone did what kim did to taylor to my lover or hell even just my friend i would say “fuck that clout chasing fame whore” bottom line. c’mon guys. have higher standards for your otp.
karlie also has vibed with kim on IG about her adidasas line. recently! yes i know she’s just promoting her brand but c’mon. taylor still hates kim, their drama got rehashed in march 2020 and just 6 months later kim n karlie are bestie-ing around on ig.
2. ALL the fucking masters drama and scooter fucking braun
- not long at all after the masters heist karlie was palling around with scooter on a yacht like come on the only other thing taylor is equally as traumatized over as the kimye drama is the master’s heist. why is karlie hanging out with him and partying with him at this time?
- karlie liked a tweet completely incinerating taylor (in a gross and unfair/inaccurate way) regarding the masters heist. she unliked it but still. why was she even looking at that shit.
- and yeah we gotta talk about perez. so perez hilton (who is a scumbag and gross but sometimes does have legitimate tea) posted a video saying that karlie and taylor were no longer friends because karlie betrayed taylor to scooter. now if that were all there was to it, it’d be dumb gossip. but a taylor fan account posted the video to twitter ashley avignone and claire winter both liked the tweet. ashley liked two tweets about it. perez proceeded to tweet that since two of taylor’s oldest and truest friends liked the tweets it must mean he was correct and neither of the girls unliked the tweets. ashley and claire are low key people, not celebs, not pawns in a “fued narrative”, just long time and loyal friends of taylor’s. they liked the tweet, imo, because there’s some truth to it.
- that brings me to spencer pratt. spencer is a reality star and super swiftie/huge fan of taylor’s. he despises karlie. he’s tweeted negatively about her and he also had perez onto his podcast to talk about the drama between karlie and taylor. taylor herself sent him a cardigan. do you really think taylor is going to allow a cardigan to go out to the guy who’s dragging her girlfriend or bestie? i don’t think so. receipts on perez and spencer here.
3. karlie posted for hailey fucking beiber’s bday instead of taylor’s and hailey hates taylor 🤢🤢🤢
4. karlie married into a fascist family that is associated with the trumps. like how can you expect me to stan? trump is a fucking criminal evil piece of shit. i know karlie isn’t like him (probably) but it’s still awful. kimby even goes around liking ivanka’s ig posts like give me a fucking break 😭.
in summation, you can disagree w me all you like, you can ship kaylor all you like, but if you’re of sound mind i don’t think you can look at the facts in this post and think i’m misguided for not being a kaylor/karlie stan. and you can’t blame me for thinking if you spend a lot of time obsessing over that ship you may not really be that big a fan of taylor’s. and if you’re spending a lot of time leading lgbt kids on to think they’re going to get a kaylor end game when all the objective facts of the case suggest that that’s never going to happen you might need to reevaluate but at the very least you certainly can’t press me for not doing all that.

Who's in the right with the whole scooter Taylor thing??
Neither because the answer to this question is subjective and largely based on whether you believe there is such thing as true friendship and loyalty in the music business. I also think a lot of it has to do with how you choose to fill in the blanks in both sides’ stories.
Let’s start of by being honest that what Taylor going through is not new - most artists don’t own their masters and most artists start off their career by signing a deal that cheats them out of the right to own their masters. Let’s not pretend this is a recent issue that’s only starting to happen now and that Taylor is the only megastar that has to fight with who she thought was her friend to reclaim her back catalog (Michael Jackson snaked Paul McCartney out of the Beatles publishing (a move that McCartney taught him) and they stopped speaking after that). Is the contract she signed with Big Machine record the worst thing to ever grace the industry? No way, far from it. Yes, she was just 15 years old when she signed but her father acted as her guardian when she signed (tons of ~urban~ artists aren’t afforded that same opportunity/guidance), and knowing his background/experience in the business, it’s unlikely that she signed a deal that would leave her financially crippled in the future. But like every artist out there, ofc she wants to own her music and she deserves to.
So, to the facts: Taylor has made it clear that this is a personal issue to her because she HAS personal issues with literally all the players involved. If we’re going to delve into this, I guess we’d have to delve into Scott who she’s known for almost half her life, she wrote ‘Long Live’ and covered ‘Untouchable’ as a gift to him and she thinks she’s why his label is so successful (well, I’d think so anyway). He then sold her masters to Braun who she has major issues with and he knew that but did it anyway. Now, if you look at it from a purely financial aspect - it’s business, Braun negotiated a high price/the right price and so obviously Scott is going to sell to him. But if you believe that there’s such thing as loyalty (and Taylor clearly does believe that Scott owed it to her to not sell it to her enemy), then you’re probably going to think Taylor is justified in feeling betrayed.
Now, the blanks that is left for us to fill. There are different sides to this and the reality is someone has to be lying about something (or several details) because things don’t match up. I personally (and controversially) don’t believe that Taylor has NOT had the chance to buy her master back from Scott/Big Machine. Her father is a shareholder and I honestly can’t see why Scott wouldn’t want to sell it back to her for that same price that Braun paid. I also do not believe that Taylor “woke up” to the news that her masters were being sold to Braun. It’s been explained that all the shareholders were notified of the pending deal, which would include her dad, and that sounds like standard business practice to me. So even if Scott is lying and didn’t “personally texted Taylor” like he claimed, her dad would have known and would have informed her of this. Swifties will then counter back with the NDA that her dad was allegedly bound by so he didn’t participate in that call - ok, yes, do I believe this? Not really, no - sorry. I genuinely believe that Taylor made peace with losing her masters to someone, she just didn’t expect it to be Braun and that’s when it really became an issue for her.
Is Scooter Braun right or wrong in this? Imo neither...? I doubt he’s actually some machiavellian, soul-sucking industry player that’s choosing to pour all his resources together to buy up her masters so it’s a big ‘fuck you’ to her? If you were a businessman, Taylor’s master is a good investment - it’s as simple as that. That’s the shit you want to own - it’s like owning a Prince, Bowie or a Beatle’s masters, it’s a sure bet. It’s an investment he knew would pay in the long run so ofc, he, like hundreds of other players out there, threw his hat into the bidding war that would have probably gone on for months. He won that bid, so he won Taylor’s masters. Does it suck for Taylor since she hates that man and half his clients? Yes, likely because she’s taking all of this in as a deeply personal and calculated move to hurt her, but he likely just saw this is a golden opportunity and acted accordingly.
To sum it up: Taylor’s right if she’s viewing this from a perspective of being cheated out of her life’s works by people she put her trust in. But we’re talking business, Taylor’s not owed anything by Scott or her label - they took a gamble on her, spent millions on her, promoted her with the resources they had, and assisted her to superstardom. All labels do this because artists are essentially their investments, so yes, when they invested into her, they’re hoping to gain something back and once she left, they (as a business) no longer had any obligation towards her. I will say though that there is something not quite right with this Big Machine situation (I can’t put my finger on it but since there’s no evidence here, I won’t go into it) and I don’t agree with her weaponizing her fans to go after Braun and his families as well as his clients. If he wants to make it difficult for her and not give her the ‘ok’ to perform/use her back catalog that he now owns for her own profit, it’s within his right to do so and no amount of fan harassment and open letters is going to change that. All that’s left to do now is to re-record and devalue her masters so she can then (hopefully) buy it back from Braun at a hopefully lower price.

You’re one of the more objective gaylors aren’t you? What can you tell me about all the different theories going on right now, from kaylor being over to swiftgron!rise (isn’t she with Molly?) to Nina/Tay to Gigi/Tay? Are there even rumors of brieTay? Does the madness never end? But seriously do you think kaylor is officially done and do you think Taylor is kind of a player when she isn’t in a relationship?

I have my hot taeks that many don’t agree with, but I try not to put out theories from thin air.
I’m of the opinion that Taylor and Dianna are in a good place, and have been for a few years now (since at least the Summer of 2017, probably earlier). Dianna is still with Molly, yes. I think the likelihood of an emotional affair is more likely than them recrossing the line physically, but I think both situations are possible. They give me “Taylor drunk texting your ex” vibes. Also, a bunch of Swifties discovered the Swiftgron Ship, lost their minds, but accepted it(?), and you bet your ass TaylorNation/Team Swift saw that.
As for the Braylor Rumors? They exist, and today’s (10/8/2019) social media activity can be added to “The List” (of their weird coincidences). If Taylor and Brie hooked up or are dating, they’re gonna be quiet as hell about it due to obvious reasons. Two women at the top of their game joining forces and being a historic power couple would be too much. Also, Brie is essentially Dianna Agron, down to being originally from NorCal, so Braylor would be Swiftgron v2.0, imo *exhales crack*
As for the Nina rumors? Those appear to be from her “friends”/fans, and comes off as a hit-it/quit-it situation / a Swiftie being a superfan. While I’d rather not compare the Braylor rumors to the Nina rumors, we still don’t have a platonic explanation for Brie wearing Taylor’s jacket and t-shirt, not to mention the similarities of Unicorn Store and Lover promo.
The Kaylor situation sucks to hell and back, and as always, I ask “why would you want Taylor associated with Karlie with the news out there?”.
Taylor is charming as hell, and the fandom lore that she’s not a femme power lesbian is bizarre to me. Taylor can pull girls, but she likes women that “challenge” her, allegedly.

Hey @taylorswift ! Since you made a playlist for us, I thought I’d make one for you. Music is my life, I even study it at school, and my favorite thing about music is songwriting (which is probably why I love you so much). Lyrics are the most important part of a song to me, but soundscapes are also really rad. So here’s 19 songs that I adore, both lyrically and sonically, and hope that you will also like! @taylornation and fellow swifties feel free to listen in as well :)

1.) Lit Me Up- Brand New
This is the best opening song of all opening songs. Brand New has created such an interesting soundscape and feel with the whole Science Fiction Album. It’s creepy, but great. Taylor I feel like you’d really enjoy some of the binaural action going on.
2.) Turn Out the Lights- Julien Baker @julienbaker
Julien Baker is one of THE BEST lyricists I have ever found (besides you of course Tay). Everything she writes is heart-wrenching and beautiful and I love it. I mean, come on “When I turn out the lights/there’s no one left/between myself and me” (lyk if u cri evrytim). This is a single from her forthcoming album by the same name and I highly recommend you listen to her debut Sprained Ankle cause damn is it good.
3.) Horseshoe Crab- Slothrust
This song is a trip man. Slothrust (its Sloth-rust not Slo-thrust fyi) is this cool little rock/jazz/blues band from Brooklyn that I ADORE. Leah writes some outlandish but still poignant af lyrics. Notably: “Sometimes I feel like I’m a sea horse/Sometimes I think that I’m a horseshoe crab/I don’t have anything in common with myself/Except that I came from the sea just like everyone else did”
4.) Ready to Go- Hurts @adam-hurts
Suggested activity while listening to this song is dancing because damn it’s a certifiable BOP.
5.) Queen- Flint Eastwood @flinteastwooddetroit
You’ve probably never seen these guys play live but Jax Anderson is a hype beast like no other and can get a crowd full of people who have never heard her music to sing and jump along like they’re the headliners. The chorus gets u going and I think that reputation era Taylor would appreciate “I’m a queen not a soldier”
6.) I Forgive No One- Citizen
While I’m not sure if this genre/sound is your thing Taylor, it does remind me a lot of the whole reputation era mindset. “I forgive no one for anything/I forgive no one for what can change”
7.) Moonshine- Lights @lightsalot
Another great bop about staying up late and partying. Also Lights wrote and drew an entire comic book series to go along with this concept album?? How fucking cool is that?? It reminds a bit of New Romantics in the attitude of “who gives a shit lets go party anyway!!”
8.) Sunshine Type- Turnover @turnoverva
Turnover is my go-to feel good band. This song actually sounds like the way sunshine feels. “I was thinking that you could love a song that I hate/I’d still play it for you”.
9.) Separate- Pvris @thisispvris
I’d imagine that swimming underneath an iceberg sounds like this song. Pvris (pronounced like Paris not p-virus or puh-vris) makes some super spooky but beautiful things. And can we talk about “There’s always been a disconnect/Running from my heart to my head/And no it’s never made much sense” as well as “Pull away the world from me I don’t mind/As long as they don’t separate you from me I’ll be fine”. It’s almost the opposite of Clean, but in a good way. This entire album has got some killer outros btw.
10.) Burn it Down- Daughter
Elena Tonra from Daughter is SUCH a GREAT lyricist. You, her, and Julien are probably the best lyricists that I know of honestly. Plus, her, Remi, and Igor as a band make some DOPE soundscapes that you can get actually physically lost in. “Always said I was a good kid/Always said I had a way with words/Never knew I could be speechless/Don’t know how I’ll ever break this curse”. They wrote this album for a video game soundtrack, but the one before this one Not to Disappear is lyrically so powerful I cry every time I see them live lol.
11.) Trainwreck- Banks
Banks is a bad ass bitch and I think you and her would get along swimmingly. Also perhaps invite her to sing this with you on the rep tour?? (hint hint wink wink) “Born to take care of you, or I thought so/Maybe it was just a phase” It’s like an updated more sonically banging Dear John imo
12.) Helicopter- Deerhunter
Back on the soundscape train Deerhunter just sounds cool as shit. The lyrics to this one are story-based and talk about some guy who was a victim of human trafficking. BUT Bradford Cox makes it sound cerebral and plucky.
13.) Deadcrush- alt-J
I love this song cause it has the coolest premise. It’s about the Dead Crushes of the band members. So like, dead people that the band members admire. The crushes are Anne Boleyn and Lee Miller. I particularly enjoy the music video for this song which is weird as all hell. The pulsing beat that drives this song is something that I think you would appreciate, Taylor. This is one of the songs where it feels more like the words are meant to be a part of a music rather than their own separate piece if that makes sense.
14.) SGL- Now, Now @nownowband
SGL stands for “Shot Gun Lover” and holy heck does this lyrically resemble some of your stuff! Sign me the fuck up for “Starry-eyed/I was young and undone/But I could’ve died/With you there in the sun”. I’ve been listening to this band for almost as long as I’ve listened to you but they recently got a more pop sound and I am LIVING for it
15.) Lose Myself- From Indian Lakes @fromindianlakes
I saw on your playlist that you like Cigarettes After Sex and so I thought you might also enjoy the recent stuff by From Indian Lakes. This is the kind of song you listen to when driving home from a date. Ponder closely, “Am I the worm on a lover’s hook/And now I’m right where I’m supposed to be/But something still feels wrong with me”
16.) You and I (stripped version)- Pvris
Pvris gets to be on here twice cause they are that good sorry but I don’t make the rules (wait yes I do). The lyrics here also remind me of you and how we all just have way too many feelings and our best shot at figuring things out is through writing about them. You and I is about a love that’s not working but that is still desperately wanted, “I know it’s cold when we’re apart/And I hate to feel this die/But you can’t give me what I want/Just give it time”. Listen to this stripped version to hear how beautiful and lilting Lynn’s voice is and listen to the full band version to hear how much of a powerhouse her voice can be.
17.) Jesus Christ- Brand New
Yes another Brand New song. You know why? Cause they are also fucking amazing. Taylor, I recommend you listen to this song while lying in your bed staring up at the ceiling and thinking “How the hell did I get here, and how the hell am I gonna leave?” (here can be anywhere, your hotel room, you home, this universe). The next time you read a shitty headline about you in a tabloid think about the lyrics, “We all got wood and nails/And we turn out hate in factories/We all got wood and nails/And we sleep inside of this machine”
18.) Townie- Mitski @whoismitski
“I want a love that falls as fast as a body from the balcony/And I want a kiss like my heart is hitting the ground/I’m holding my breath with a baseball bat though I don’t know what I’m waiting for/I’m not gonna be who my daddy wants me to be”…… do I need to say anything else? Hopefully you’ve already heard some of Mitski’s stuff cause she’s gonna be on tour with your homegirl @lordemusic this next spring!
19.) Pigpen- Slothrust
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with the post-chorus riff from this song in my head. Taylor, the lyrics I’d want you to hear the most from this one are; “I would spread my wings/If they weren’t so god damn heavy/Yeah I would spread my wings/If they weren’t coated in honey”

Merry 9th of Swiftmas! I was wondering today if you celebrate Christmas/what your holiday traditions are?
Yes I celebrate Christmas it’s my favorite holiday! Freshman year of college, I had a countdown til christmas on my door and this wasn’t just until dec 25 and then it’s over. No, I had it start back up again when we came back in january for second semester. I’m so obsessed with christmas that I was known as “christmas kate” on my floor in the dorms.
As for traditions, my family always puts up the tree the day after thanksgiving (except this year bc my parents were out of town, so we did it the week after). We usually will go and look at christmas lights at least once. My dad and I make homemade peanut butter cups and other chocolates (nothing fancy, we just roll caramel in some peanuts and dunk it in chocolate). Ummm, we used to go the macy’s 8th floor display downtown, but last year was it’s final year.
Side note on the 8th floor display: once upon a time, the downtown macy’s was a daytons (an old department store) and it would make an elaborate display on their 8th floor each year for christmas. You would walk through it kind of like the it’s a small world ride at disney world?? like just really elaborate displays left and right, usually telling a story. Fast forward to when Marshall fields bought daytons and they continued the tradition. It would be something different every year. I remember one year it was cinderella and another year it was snow white. The last year Marshall fields was open, it was a day in the life of an elf. Then macy’s bought marshall fields and they were like ok we’ll continue the tradition too! And.... they did.... but they never changed the theme. So it’s been a day in the life of an elf for like 10 years. I still go with my friends and buy extremely overpriced gingerbread cookies (but they are the best gingerbread cookies I’ve ever had so totally worth it). Last year, I knew it was the final year, so I dragged my bff who is jewish to come along and he tolerated it but I was so happy. It took four years of friendship for him to finally participate in a christmas activity.
Anyways, back to regular christmas. My sister and I make sure we watch Elf and Eloise at Christmastime (our faves) and make gingerbread cookies and decorate them. My dad complains that was haven’t watched the polar express yet, so we’ll watch that too. He’ll sing the hot chocolate song from the movie for the next year tbh. Then on christmas eve, we spend it with my mom’s side of family (they’re more fun imo) and just hang out and play the dice game for presents (it’s candy and giftcards).
Then on Christmas day we open presents and then go to my grandmas to spend christmas day with my dad’s side of the family. There are 14 great grandchildren. My sister and I are the youngest of the grandchildren so we are the unoffical babysitters and I despise children, so that’s super fun. Then we go home and just chill out and my mom is ready to take down the tree but none of us want to and she makes a big fuss about it till new years day when she finally just does it by herself and then gets all mad that no one helped, but no one wanted christmas to be over.
So yeah, that was incredibly long, I tend to type and talk a lot. What are some traditions you do/do you celebrate christmas?
Lastly, real quick, my person for the swiftie secret santa FINALLY answered but it was like the second one I sent? Maybe tumblr ate the first one that happens a lot. Anyways, she’d going to get a mildly rude message so we’ll see what happens.

I’m not an anti or anything. I like the idea of Joe and Taylor together.
Prefacing because you seem to project so much onto the two of them. You call out Gaylors and Swifties for projecting onto people and yet you do the exact same thing and dial it up to 100.
You don’t know Taylor or Joe and don’t know their relationship. You act like you do and act like you know they’re 100% happy all the time. Couples fight. People can be toxic but you seem to just burry your head in the sand and stay ignorant to it all.
OF COURSE THEY FIGHT WE SAY THAT OFTEN. We actually have discussed possible reasons they’ve fought, especially because we know they fight because Taylor has sung about it A LOT. Obviously they have issues, from little ones about like idk the toilet seat to big ones. We can absolutely discuss that. But… they don’t seem toxic, and as I said in this post, BECAUSE WE DO NOT KNOW THEM imo it’s just unpleasant to headcanon and project misery. Like we… don’t know them.
Could she be a crazy fucking bitch who is toxic and makes him miserable? Yes. Could he be a cold aloof asshole who doesn’t make her feel loved? Ya. Could they be cheating on each other? Sure I mean I think it’d leak tbh but maybe like they’re paying off the people they’re fucking. Could either of them be physically or emotionally or sexually abusive? Ya we don’t know them. Could they be like consciously trying to hurt each other and whatnot? Sure. Get this? WE DON’T KNOW THEM.
But why in the FUCK would we sit here and invent AWFUL THINGS about them that we don’t know to be and have no reason to think are true? And don’t tell me “oh I have vibes” - I have vibes can be like “I think they fight about the toilet seat” it’s not “I think he hits her.” But he might. Like he might. If that became public knowledge I wouldn’t be shocked or anything, like he’s a man dudes. It’s DISGUSTING tho to invent that. People’s tragedies and misery aren’t for your entertainment.
So no I don’t think they’re happy 100% of the time and no I wouldn’t even be shocked if yk strangers turned out to have massive problems I - a stranger - didn’t know about. But I’m not gonna INVENT them dude because I’m not a miserable cunt and this blog is for ENTERTAINMENT and I don’t see how you can find entertainment in real life people’s tragedy at worst and misery at best but that’s just me.

Your absolutely right that Mkchelle Obamas life is a good comparison even though obviously Taylor is not Michelle Obama. Like you can hate her and think she's not relevant but with in pop culture, her fandom and even her haters she can sometimes be the whole world. And I would say the same about Beyonce but weirdly the bee hive is more protective over Beyones children then anyone you know. Sometimes Taylors fanbase can border on thinking they own a part of her and in some weird ways it can be disrespectful?? I'm not sure if I am articulating that well. Like when she does have a baby and hermits for a year with said baby, her fandom will freak out on like Joe and become rabid when they dont feel they get the content they feel they deserve?? Obviously not all of them, but that portion you know. And thats the portion that will show up to Disney on Ice to see Taylor bring her kid there to try and be normal.
And her relevancy isnt going away any time soon is my prediction so yes your right. She will have to navigate raising children in the same way Michelle did.

Bey actually also does shit to be more normal and doesn’t like go out that much and like sure people complain but they also get it because she’s motherfucking BEYONCÉ. If I said “Bey’s homes have staff” nobody would’ve been like “um no I don’t think so!!!!” because they understand she’s a LIVING LEGEND and an ICON.
Swifties compare TAYLOR to fucking Olivia Rodrigo lmao and think that’s a hot take. One is a literal child who might - but hopefully won’t - fade from relevance within a year. The other got a living Beatle to change his album’s release date for her wanky numerology and he went “sure, huge fan!” Likeeeeeeeeeeee Swifties must acknowledge the level she’s at and stop being so embarrassing.

Why are your anons mad at you for gossiping on a gossip blog?😭
I think the problem is while I have some readers who are like... gossipers... a lot of them are cupcake Swifties and/or Kays and I think they don't get the distinction of like... gossip. Because to the first group Taylor needs to be treated like their friend and there's that refrain they have that "I BELIEVE TAYLOR" and like sure I do too but lmao everyone lies from time to time ya know, like how tf would you know who she's fucked or nah or if she's cheated on someone or if she's done messy shit? Like who owns up to that kind of thing on main, y'know? She's not your friend and she's a normal person so obviously she obfuscates the truth from time to time and misrepresents stuff just to herself even, right, like we all self-mythologize and self-narrativize and say "I'M HAPPY" when we're not necessarily at times.
So that group feels very uncomfy gossiping about Taylor because it's "not what she said" but like... eh. It's just gossip, y'know? It's not real but it makes sense and tracks and it's fun to do this shit and that's why it's a massive multi-million dollar international industry. It's fun to try figure out what happens in people's lives and speculate. I don't know why, it's human nature.
Then for the Kays and ex-Kays everything feels legit like truthering. So they're the ones that come like "YOUR DREAMS ARE INVALID" and "YOUR BELIEF IS WRONG" like homie these aren't dreams or beliefs lmfao and they shouldn't be. This is a headcanon that comes and goes. On this blog the only thing we're sure of is we know nothing and we trust empirical facts (like plane tracking, sightings, pap shots, yes we factor in interactions and interviews and socials right like we think about what we can see) and then we interpret them in ways that feel right at the time.
Sometimes a week or two after positing a theory we get over it and realize it's bullshit.
It's nbd like it wasn't a belief or a dream or a delusion or even - in the case of like headcanon explanations for shit - a fantasy. It's a "shit maybe that's what happened" and when we think it's unlikely we say "nevermind."
There is nothing to truther in celeb gossip.
Believe whatever the fuck you want.
I'm not obligated to agree with you and you're not obligated to agree with him, but as I said on like the first day I started SwiftieSleuth you need to make it make sense. Like I'm not here to entertain completely cracked out takes like "Karlie and Taylor are sekrit marriedz" because WHILE I CANNOT PROVE THAT THEY ARE NOT it is very unlikely since they... live on different continents and Karlie has a baby with someone else. But if you think they were having an affair, eh - maybe. I don't, but who the fuck knows for sure, we're not Karlie or Taylor.

They like Taylor but can’t relate to the soft gaylor version of her and they need to be able to relate or it’s not comforting anymore. Similar to the mentally ill Taylor believers who write theories on Taylor Swift either being autistic, having BPD or OCD and that group is getting some traction because of tiktok as well. I think everyone is just trying to relate and make Taylor their comfort character.(...) their tweets start to get really depressing and then they’re tweeting about needing to take a break, like clockwork. They might be annoying but it might be more helpful to just let them be annoying.
