The Lovebug Virus - Chapter One: Intrigue
Yandere! Sun and Moon x Reader
Masterlist || Read it on AO3 || Chapter Two (coming soon!)
*****
No one usually took the time to look at Y/N. She was an empty, shell of a person with little interest in what others her age would find entertaining.
She didn't go out to eat and drink with friends. The thought of going out to make conversation with strangers was a foreign concept to her. The mere implication of loud music and drawling small talk sent shivers down her spine.
No, what Y/N spent most of her free time doing, usually involved quiet spaces with relaxing music - hidden away under a blanket with a book or her laptop and no expectation of the exchange of dialogue. She would partake in gardening to get her daily intake of sunlight, and then you would find her right back inside - cozied up with a stuffie and relaxing.
Most others would say that she lived a lonely life. She didn't mind, really. She never had any reason to believe that the way she went about her days was depressing. The hours spent daydreaming and falling into different worlds brought her joy.
Her parents had always left her to her own devices growing up. They would buy her toys and games and encourage her to play outside with the neighbors - but Y/N was never interested. So they had promptly given up and resorted to allowing her some space of her own. Other parents would question their parenting methods, although these were mostly snarky older women that felt the need to insert their input where nobody asked for it. Y/N always heard those conversations. Her parents always defended her.
They weren't the best parental figures in the world, but they allowed her to learn and grow on her own. She never saw much of an issue with it. She enjoyed it, honestly. But as with anything, there was a catch.
Should a single grade slip from its perfect little pointed "A+," she would kiss her freedom goodbye. Her privacy, independence, and otherwise happiness were privileges - that was made clear from the beginning. So she learned quickly that anything less than perfect was unacceptable and wrong.
When the time came for her to think of college, she didn't really have much outside of her quaint little world that she wanted. But her parents insisted - so she looked into robotics and engineering.
This had surprised everyone that knew her (even though that wasn't necessarily a lot of people). Her parents were proud and they boasted about the decision to anyone and everyone that would listen. One of her parents' friends had asked if they were putting a lot of pressure on her for bragging about her career choice, but Y/N was close enough earshot that she had meandered through the kitchen and denied such a claim nonchalantly.
Going to college proved to be more of a positive thing than she ever would have imagined. Despite her quiet demeanor, she made a friend rather quickly. Said friend was the exact opposite of Y/N - loud and boisterous, indulging in "normal" college behavior like it was her lifeline.
Kat had grown to become Y/N's best friend - even with all odds stacked against their friendship. College had introduced them to each other, and they spent a lot of their free time together now. They considered each other best friends - after all, living two completely different lives meant they never ran out of things to talk about and show each other.
The only small, minute detail Y/N found herself grumbling about quietly was the fact that she needed a job. Her parents promised they would cover her tuition, allow her to live with them rent-free, and even buy her groceries for her - as long as she kept up the garden she so dearly loved. But that left no money for her to buy more books, or keep up with her various subscriptions online. Privileges her antisocial self felt she needed. The things she had spent her whole life using to keep herself happy. Activities that allowed her to shove away the feelings of loneliness that so desperately threatened to spill over into the content she felt for the life she lived.
It was the only reason she stood where she did now, staring up into the soft white, glowing eyes of a sunny-themed animatronic as her heart hammered in her chest. There was absolutely nothing she had experienced thus far to properly ready her for this change in her life. She wondered silently to herself why she would agree to take on such a challenge - but Kat's voice echoed through her head like the ghost of a disappointed mother.
"You need interaction, Meatball! There's so many things out there in the world and you keep yourself cooped up in your room all day!"
"Well, my room doesn't disappoint me, or try to roofie me when I walk away to use the bathroom," she had said in response, gathering her homework from her desk and neatly placing it in her three ring binder. Kat grabbed a pillow off of Y/N's neatly made bed and chucked it at her.
"That was one time! And I was fine! He was just jealous of the attention I was getting from his girlfriend," she joked. But her giggling was replaced with a sigh as she watched Y/N pick the pillow up and place it exactly where it had been before Kat threw it. "Come on, girl. You said it yourself - you need the money. You only have to keep the job for three months. That's how long the contract lasts. Then you can happily quit if need be."
Y/N's grip on her binder tightened at the thought of being bound by contract to a noisy, bustling daycare as a security guard. Small children always made her uneasy. They were unpredictable - running around and happy one moment, throwing themselves on the ground and crying the next. But as her eyes drifted down to the book lying on the edge of her desk, she sighed. All of the characters in all of her books needed to go through character development. Maybe now was her time?
"Alright, KitKat. Get me an application."
"So like I said, you don't have to interact with the kids much. That's Sun's job. You just have to make sure that meals get here on time, cleanup is done right, and that this hunk of junk works the way it's supposed to," Max said, jabbing his thumb up at the robot. Sun glared at him, or so Y/N assumed he did. His arms crossed and faceplate turned towards Kat's older brother, his rays shrinking back slightly. But his smile remained unchanging.
Why did FazCo think a non-expressive faceplate was a good idea?
"So, um... Do I need to walk around and watch him, or...?"
"Oh god no," Max responded, typing vigorously on the keyboard in front of him. "Do you see the size of this damn place? You'll only need to watch from the cameras here."
"Language, Mr. Diaz," Sun chirped from his spot, still standing on the opposite side of the security desk. Max laughed and rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, and he's a stickler for the rules," he mumbled. Y/N took a moment to look at the other monitors on the desk. They all displayed different cameras overlooking the daycare and its attachments. There were several pointed at the main play area. But there was also one in each of the party rooms, a few in the theatre, and some as far out as Kid's Cove.
Y/N took note of each camera and tried to figure out where on the walls and ceiling they were. She only stopped when she realized the yellow jester bot was still looking at her. Again, that's at least what she assumed. His eyes held no irises - only a faint white glow that appeared to shift every so often. She opened her mouth to speak, but the oddly-colored and bulky watch on Max's wrist chimed. He groaned as he looked at it.
"Dammit," he hissed, making Sun mutter another chastise in his direction. He ignored it, typed something else quickly on the computer, and then grabbed his security hat from where he left it next to one of the monitors. "Something came up, so I gotta go." He then snapped as if he remembered something important - reaching into one of his pockets and pulling out a dark purple lanyard. "This is your temporary security badge until we get you fully put into the system," he said, sounding distracted. Y/N reached out to grab it, but Max didn't let it go immediately. "Never go anywhere without this, you hear me?"
Y/N felt anxiety prick at the base of her spine. "Y-Yeah, I hear you," she said hesitantly. Max let go of the badge and rushed out of the daycare without another word.
"Oh, don't worry about him, new friend!" Sun exclaimed suddenly, startling Y/N. She ogled at the animatronic as she pulled the lanyard over her head. "Welcome to the daycare!" He stretched his arms up above his head dramatically, reminding Y/N of one of those water spouts that people put in personal ponds and lakes sometimes.
"Thanks," she mumbled, biting her tongue before she could embarrassingly mutter a 'you too' in his direction. She sat down in one of the office chairs and looked at the monitors again. Sun didn't walk away to continue on with his job - instead opting to lean down on the desk and place his eyes right above the edge of the screen Y/N was looking at.
"New friend," he singsonged, listing his head to the side once she peered at him. "Wanna come play a game with me and the little sunbites? Our old handler would play games with us."
"Old handler?" The question slipped from her mouth before she even had a chance to think about it. Sun's eyes widened (the first bit of facial expression she'd witnessed from the bot) and he stood back up to his full height.
"Y-Yeah, but that doesn't matter!" he stuttered, waving his hands in front of himself as if physically shooing the question away. "Anyways, we can play hide and seek, tag, or even cops and robbers!"
If the unease wasn't present in the form of expression of Y/N's face, the heat rising to her cheeks definitely was. "I don't know," she said hesitantly. Her eyes darted to the rowdy children screaming and running around the colorful play space. Sun's rays retracted behind his faceplate slightly.
"Oh," he said, deflated. Y/N felt pity flutter in her heart. Why, she couldn't tell. But something about the way his demeanor changed at her rejection of the games reminded her almost of... herself.
"Why would anyone want to play cards with you? That's a boring game."
"A book club? But kids your age should be running around a playground."
"No, coloring is an inside game. We're playing outside."
"Actually," Y/N said, standing from the chair and pulling a few of her belongings from her pockets to place on the desk. "Do you know the game telephone?" she asked, and somehow Sun's smile seemed to grow wider.
The solar animatronic gathered up the excited children - guiding all the ones that wanted to play into a big circle in one of the cushioned play areas. The ones that didn't he sat down at one of the plastic tables to color, rendering the large daycare quiet besides the never-ending looped theme that played from some hidden speaker overhead. Y/N watched him as he interacted with the young ones, finding herself surprised that he was so gentle with them.
Of course the daycare attendant would have to be gentle. But something about the way his voice changed when he spoke, or even the little hand gestures he used to keep their attention on him - it made her curious about his programming. Advanced AI was still something relatively new when it came to commercial use. It felt like only a few months ago that chatboxes utilizing AIs were first introduced to the general public. It had quickly gotten out of hand and forced several companies to close their doors due to being sued for copyright infringements and other various crimes.
But not long after that, corporations latched onto the idea of being able to replace humans with technology. It was beneficial to them - not having to worry about human error in places that cost them millions in losses for that exact reason. Several protests emerged, but they were incapable of rallying enough support to prohibit the advancement in research and programming. Some loophole about original work and free speech - Y/N didn't really remember.
It didn't take much time for robots to start to replace simple jobs. Unimportant roles like gas station cashiers and janitors were replaced with animatronic versions, and it had worked so well that the furthering of said technology couldn't be stopped.
Fazbear Entertainment latched onto the idea quickly, especially given that they had been working with AI for years under the table. One thing led to another and now? Well, she was looking at the result of such changes.
"With a show of hands, let me see who knows how to play the game telephone," Sun said, looking around at all of the bright little faces. Several hands shot into the air excitedly. A lot of the older kids had played, but many of the younger ones looked around at their peers quizzically. "So a fairly new game to most of you, I see," Sun continued.
He explained the game in the simplest terms possible, which only furthered Y/N's secret fascination for the bot. She spent the entirety of his explanation just taking in his appearance with more detail. He definitely looked the part in regards to a FazCo animatronic. That much was obvious. But the thought took too long to actually hold weight in her head.
It's not that Sun didn't have mechanical clicks and a voice box full of static - he was definitely an animatronic. But when compared to the others within the pizzaplex, there were definitely major differences. The others - the Glamrocks - were bulky and wore 80's themed garments that reflected the vibe of the entire mall.  They had expressive faces and a lot of preset voice lines. Sun just didn't look like he belonged in the lineup.
Although, that fact was at least obvious to the higher ups, as the advertisements for the obnoxiously inclusive, over-glorified mall never included the daycare attendant. Y/N remembered seeing one of the unskippable ads before a youtube video once. Nothing was mentioned about the daycare - not even in passing did they mention that the plex offered childcare. It made her curious now, but at the time she hadn't thought much about it.
She played along with the kids in the slow paced game - giggling slightly every time the child next to her whispered something she knew wasn't the phrase Sun had started with. The sunbot always played up whatever was whispered to him at the end of the line, covering his unchanging mouth and tilting his head to the side - even retracting his rays as he did earlier.
If FazCo had such an intelligent form of AI running their daycare, why hadn't they tried to utilize the same programming for the other animatronics?
After a while, most of the children grew bored of the game - asking Sun if they could leave to color or play in the structures again. He seemed hesitant to allow them to at first, but soon they stopped putting effort into the game, so he eventually dismissed them all. Y/N went back to her seat at the security desk just as the first few parents showed up to pick up their children. Y/N learned from Sun how the security bands worked, making her feel quite dumb for not realizing that each child wore a colored bracelet that held all of their information.
Soon, all that remained of the earlier bustling daycare play area was one rather quiet child. She hadn't left Sun's side from the moment she arrived after being dropped off from school. She had short, dark hair with blue at the ends stuffed under a baseball cap of the local team. Currently, she was following Sun around like a puppy with separation anxiety - her blue eyes desperately following each movement of the solar animatronic's hands as he cleaned. Y/N couldn't help but find her fascination with the simple tasks amusing because she related to her curiosity.
Then the notification popped up on the monitor in front of her that the girl - whose name was Rosalie - was now in queue to be picked up. Sun lifted his head from the table he had been wiping down and smiled at the little girl. "Rosie posie, looks like your mom is here!" he said brightly, picking the girl up and placing her on his shoulders. She squealed with delight as he lead her over to the cubbies that contained her backpack, shoes, and other various personal belongings. One of those belongings was a dark blue plush, but Y/N couldn't tell what it was from where she sat.
A yawn forced its way from her mouth as Sun finished with checking Rosalie out from the daycare. He talked with the girl's mother for a while - only deepening Y/N's fascination with him. He could speak with children fluently - making jokes and pulling off silly voices to keep them entertained. But he could also sound completely serious and relay information to adults without puns or snickering.
It was like he was just another human.
"Have a Fazerific day, Rosalie! See you tomorrow!" Sun called out of the door. He shut it, and immediately let out a satisfied simulated sigh before turning towards Y/N.
She dropped her head down and tried to busy herself with the keyboard in front of her. She didn't know why she was embarrassed to have been watching the animatronic - he probably didn't mind, given that children stared at him all the time. But the warmth crept up to her cheeks nonetheless.
"New friend, do you need help learning the proper way to sanitize the daycare?" he asked, approaching the desk again and resuming the same position he had earlier.
"Wait, what?" Y/N's confusion must have been extremely visible, because Sun faltered for a moment.
"Your end-of-day duties involve cleaning and sanitizing the daycare with me," he informed, tilting his faceplate to the side slightly. The exhaustion from interacting with people all day tickled the back of her mind, but she quickly shoved it aside as Kat's words about her needing interaction echoed in her mind.
"O-Okay," she stuttered, standing from the office chair and making her way around the desk to join the solar animatronic.
Despite being a fairly large space, the duties of cleaning the play area weren't as daunting as one might think. The ballpit had a special mechanism that allowed all of the colorful plastic orbs to fall through an invisible hatch that could only be opened with a swipe of Y/N's keycard. Apparently, there was a large area beneath the daycare that would sanitize the balls before sending them back through a hidden tube to refill. The plushies and pillows that filled a tent at the far side of the bright space would be sprayed with a disinfectant that hid underneath the security desk. Y/N supposed the hardest task was actually vacuuming the mats - but given that there were multiple vacuum units in the supply closet and two people to split the daycare floor, it went by rather quickly.
Neither Sun nor Y/N spoke much besides clarifying questions and little corrections in cleaning methods. It would be a comfortable silence had the endless loop of the silly daycare theme not been blaring overhead still. Y/N made a mental note about asking Max if it could be shut off once all the kids were gone.
But she realized after a while that although she was cleaning in silence, Sun had actually been mumbling to himself. Between variations of the cleanup song he sang earlier to the children and comments about how messy things were - it almost sounded as though he was talking to himself. It was odd to hear at first, but it only reminded Y/N of the way she would do the same thing when going about her usual chores at home.
By the time the two had finished cleaning, Y/N's feet hurt. But something buzzed through her body as she looked at the clean space, proud of the hard work. The ache in her muscles wasn't too far off from the same feeling she got after getting all of her garden beds ready at the start of a new season.
"You did amazing, new friend!" Sun praised, throwing his hands above his head. He followed closely behind Y/N as she made her way back to the security desk. "The routine went by so much faster with your help!"
"Oh, I'm sure it wasn't that much faster," Y/N responded, rounding the edge of the desk to collect her stuff. "So there's nothing else I've gotta do now?" Sun's rays shrank back a bit.
"Well, not exactly," he said slowly. Y/N looked up at him, a little surprised by the hesitance in his voice. One of her eyebrows quirked up to urge him to continue. His fingers smoothed over the ribbons on his wrists as he stared on - unblinking white eyes giving away no emotion to the thoughts running through his mind. "N-Nevermind," he said suddenly, placing his hands on the desk with a tap.
Y/N couldn't help her lingering stare before she turned her attention to the monitor so she could clock out. She was tired, but for once it was a good tired. Sun followed at her heels after she collected her belongings and walked to the entrance. It made her think of the way Rosalie was following him around earlier.
"Friend?" Sun said quietly as Y/N reached the large wooden doors. She turned to face him.
"Yeah?"
He once again fiddled with the ribbons on his wrist, but she still couldn't tell what he was thinking. It only intrigued her more. "Make sure to get a good rest in before you come back tomorrow!" he said in a chipper voice, dropping his hands and subsequently his anxious fidgeting. Y/N sighed, plastering a lazy grin on her face.
"You too, friend," she said, mirroring his nickname for her as she slipped through the doors - completely missing the way Sun's rays rotated around his head a few times as he processed her words.
Y/N's stomach growled as she entered the main entrance of the PizzaPlex. Excited voices drifted up to her ears as children and their parents lined up to get their own wristbands - the variation in color depicting where they were allowed to go. She descended a flight of stairs and contemplated getting something to eat here before she went home. The smell of pizza was extremely tempting.
She let it win - sliding past the people in line to swipe her badge and enter the main area of the plex in search of the greasy, triangle-shaped treat. When was the last time she indulged in unhealthy food just because she could?
It didn't take long for her to spot one of the areas advertising food. It was actually getting to it that was proving to be time-consuming. There were so many people rushing about as the last concert of the night was preparing to run. Y/N let her thoughts drift back through her day as she dodged and weaved through hyper children and eerie staff bots that she swore stared at her a little longer than usual.
Sun certainly was... something. She could get used to working with him easily - his demeanor was warm and inviting, and her fascination with his programming would surely keep her entertained. She wondered how long he had been in use, once again flitting over the question as to why his programming hadn't been utilized with any of the other animatronics.
Y/N let out a shocked squeak as her shoulder connected with someone else. A frantic apology escaped her lips as she looked up and locked eyes with Max.
"Oh, it's you. Sorry, was distracted," he said, glancing back in the direction he was heading in. He certainly looked distracted. And tired. Being closer to him than she had earlier, Y/N took note of the dark stubble growing on his chin and baggy circles beneath his eyes. He smelled faintly of cigarette smoke, but so did a lot of other people. And he at least did a good job of covering it up with a light cologne.
His eyes snapped back to Y/N suddenly and he gave a halfhearted smile. "How was the first day? The thing didn't give you too much trouble, did it?"
"Wha- Sun? No, not at all," she responded quickly. "He was actually somewhat delightful," she added, thinking of how soft he had been with the children.
Max's gaze lingered on her as the silence between them stretched awkwardly. Then he hummed, but he didn't say anything more. So Y/N spoke up again. "I hope whatever was so urgent earlier went over well?"
The way Max's eyebrows furrowed confusedly made her second guess her statement. But then recognition glinted in his eyes and he chuckled. "Oh, yeah! Was fine, fine..." He paused. "Just something stupid - easy fix."
Y/N felt her heart start to hammer in her chest as anxiety lulled through her body. She hated small talk.
"Well anyways, I've still got some stuff to take care of," he said, much to Y/N's relief. "I'll try to stop by tomorrow to make sure you know the last of your responsibilities with this job."
"Sure, okay," she responded, trying not to sound desperate to get away from him. He turned to leave, calling out over his shoulder as he walked away.
"And tell Kat I said hi."
*****
The pizza was exactly as Y/N thought it would be - greasy and bland.
She still happily snacked on it during her drive back home, steadily bobbing her head to the beat of her favorite song. She couldn't wait to lounge around in her sweatshirt and shorts again.
When she walked through the front door, though, she was immediately bombarded with questions about her first day. Kat had come over with sorbet from her favorite place to celebrate her having landed the job and surviving her first shift. Y/N's mother was almost in tears from being proud - much to Y/N's dismay.
She knew it was all an act.
But she allowed herself to play along. She was proud of herself, after all. The last time she attempted to get herself out there in the world, she had chickened out before she even made it to the building.
And here she was, with a new job and not a single anxiety or panic attack in sight.
After answering her parents questions and accepting their hugs, the two best friends retreated up to Y/N's room.
"And how's the animatronic? His name's Sundrop, right?" Kat asked Y/N, taking her usual place sitting on the daybed with her legs folded beneath her.
"I think it's just Sun. But he's absolutely amazing, Kat! You should've seen it!" She sat down at her desk, distractedly swirling her spoon around in the last bits of her mango sorbet. "I'm so curious about all of the programs that had to be written for him. He's got to have thousands."
"You're such a dweeb," Kat responded, grabbing the stuffed animal nearest to her on the bed and snuggling it.
"Probably," Y/N responded after throwing the now-empty sorbet cup away in the small trash can under her desk. Her hands wandered to the drawer on the desk - pulling out one of the notebooks and flipping to an empty page. She had to get started on her fall garden before the temps started to drop, so she went through and listed the things she really wanted to grow. "But he's just so soft with the children. I didn't expect a robot made of something so dense and virtually indestructible to be so... caring."
"It's all in the programming, you goober." Kat shifted to lie down. "Speaking of, have you figured out what you want to do for your project yet?"
A soft sigh emitted from Y/N. "No," she said simply, pushing the notebook away and bringing the end of the pencil to her mouth. "I just want it to be something that's never been done before. Something... original."
Kat laughed. Y/N was sure she meant nothing negative by it, but she couldn't help the embarrassed hurt that settled in the pit of her stomach. "There's nothing original these days," Kat said. "Don't stress it too much - I don't want to have to coax you out of another panic attack the day before it's due."
"Yeah, I guess so..."
The rest of the evening was spent watching the first few episodes of an anime Y/N had promised Kat she would indulge in with her. But her mind wandered back to schoolwork.
She had absolutely no idea what she would create for the project. She wondered if maybe she could figure something out with building a small robot that could perform basic tasks like bringing objects to its owner or recognizing shapes and colors. But all of that felt far too basic.
Here she was with the opportunity to show her worth - and she couldn't even come up with a single idea.
With one more hug and a last congratulations on her landing the job - Kat left for the night. Y/N wandered back up to her room and focused on planning out her fall garden before switching over to her homework for the evening. After a while, she grew restless as she thought about going back to the plex the next day.
Y/N had barely spent a few hours with the solar animatronic and she was already looking forward to seeing him again. She was so eager to know more about him and how he worked - from the programs and protocols he had to the personality traits he could mimic. She thought about the interactions Sun had with the children again and how gentle he had been.
God, she wasn't normal.
Long after the sun had set and she had grown tired, Y/N finally began her bedtime routine. She hoped Sun would be able to answer her questions about his programming tomorrow. And if he couldn't, she would just ask Max herself and see what he knew.

One-sided Enemies + One-sided friends = lovers
One of my favorite fanfic trop is
Person A hating person B and being their enemies/will do anythingto ruin their day, Person B being oblivious to person A hatred towards them and just trying/thinking they are friends
And then all it takes is for person B to do one nice thing to person A (i.e giving them a gift/giving them a hug/in general showing they care about them or something) for them to be absolutely smitten
Person A just going from "I will kill you" to "I will kill for you"
Cliche and unrealistic?
yes
brings joy to my little heart?
also yes💕

To all of my followers who followed me for Sun/moon content, I am sorry I haven’t made much updates on my fanfic series with my yandere reader au or any other content with the fandom. Life has been very busy for me with college right now. And some time during last year I lost my hyperfixation for a while and wanted to create art for my original characters. But what I can say is that I have been slowly working on my fic “You are my light, you are my star” in regard to brainstorming ideas for chapters in the story. I have a list for that on a doc. I really do want to keep working on it and share it with you guys. With much love I hope you like some of these silly doodles of y/n and sun/moon. (Including a special guest, my oc Victoria Liano featured in chapter 3/4) ❤️

Hey hey! Can I ask for platonic sun or moon daycare attendants? If not that’s a-okay! You’re doing amazing!
Imagine: Platonic Yandere Sun & Moon/Daycare Attendants (Team-up)
TW: Implied stalking/violence
.
Built for the sole purpose to watch & entertain the young children at the Pizzaplex & how each was coded for distinct roles, that being of the sun & moon, they also display this disparate personalities towards anyone they view as a friend.
Sun charms the kids with all sorts of activities with an equal amount of child look mannerisms & behavior. The animatronic fails to remember personal space & boundaries & you'd have to be stern with the sun bot for him to back off for a while.
Sun seeks to consume all your attention & company by having you partake in the various activities in the daycare. Any shape or form of stubbornness from you earns a semi-dejected animatronic, of which leads to Sun desperately seeking to get & keep your attention on him.
Moon often chastises his counterpart for their extempored methods of gaining your immersion as opposed to his more calculated tactics. Though his strategy tends to, more often than not, entails following you around out of vision & dealing with whatever or whomever he regards as a imminance.
Sun continuously strives to keep you from turning the lights off. Where one is inclined to believe it's from him wishing to spend as much time with you as possible, & while it is true to an extent, Sun fears more the concept of Moon making you do something against your will as he believes in you listening & doing as they say by your own will.
Both calm the other down whenever you dissapear from their vision, yet it's mostly Moon having to calm his sun counterpart from ripping the daycare to shreds. Even when the moon animatronic does worry for your wellbeing, he also trusts that you're more than capable of ensuring your own safety, though he proven otherwise he'll take it upon himself to stick by you more.
The Daycare Attendents have completely distinct reactions to any lukewarm or negative response from you. Moon treats your response like that of a child & as such, treats you like one, getting gradually much more annoyed if you keep your foot down & leave you be until you give him a response he approves of. Sun, on the other hand, takes any negative reaction from you as if you're stating that they're no longer your friend, of which leads him to at first attempt to persuade you into changing your response, but if nothing works & you remain adament, Sun might enlists Moon help in the process.

Into the Deep Chapter 9
Summary:
You give Sun and Moon a gift to which you receive one more before going to bed.
"SUNSHINE!" Moon heard Sun cheer loudly, jolting him rudely from his sleep. Frustrated at his brother's antics he perked his head up from his tail and glared in Sun's direction, only to have his gaze soften as he found you in Sun's grasp as he twirled you around, laughing. He huffed shortly and was about to lay back down again to sleep some more when he saw you coming towards him with an excited, yet apologetic smile on your face.
"Hey Moon! Sorry if we woke you up, how are you?" You asked as you squatted beside him to which he booped your nose, watching your nose wrinkle with a lazy smile.
"Outside of being woken up so rudely by Sunny, I'm doing just fine." Moon said to which Sun let out a loud, regretful whimper.
"Oh Moonie I'm so, so sorry! I completely forgot that you were still asleep! I just got so excited to see our friend that I forgot myself a little..." Sun apologized with a bowed head before perking up and placing one of his hands on your back before gently pushing you, causing you to nearly fall on top of Moon. "But I think our Sunshine here has something that will put you in a good mood lickedy split!"
You flushed bashfully at this and Moon felt himself smile at the rare sight. You were the most precious during moments like these in his opinion. He didn't know why, but the way your eyes would look at him in such a shy manner as you nervously played with your fingers made you look so sweet and defenseless, especially when compared to your usually bright and curious manner that gave no room for vulnerability of any kind.
"Do you now?" He asked with a grin as he rested his head on his tail with a yawn which made you nod with an unsure smile.
"Yeah! It's not much, but I hope you like it." You said nervously before turning toward a small bag you had brought with you. He didn't recognize the scent on it which made him frown, but he ignored it when you pulled a small band of silver out of your bag and held it out to him. Confused and wary he carefully took it from you before examining it.
It was a very pretty and delicate little thing, the silvery metal bent and shaped clumsily to look like little stars before they circled around a beautiful, milky white stone in the middle of it that seemed to glow blue and red as the light reflected off of it in angles. He turned it around, looking at it from every angle and trying to see if there was something hidden in it, but he quickly realized there was nothing strange about it. It was just a piece of jewelry he recognized from a few of the humans who worked here as well as ancient paintings of other Mer tribes in the past. He looked up at Sun and noticed a similar-looking band on Sun's upper right arm, except his was gold and the metal was shaped like uneven rays that came from a beautiful orange stone in the center that glittered brightly in the last rays of sunlight.
"Surprise! I made you both armlets as thanks out of some scrap metal I found a while back. Granted, they're not actual silver or gold, Henry had to give me some special paint that doesn't fade in seawater and they're not very tidy, so the moonstone and sunstone are the only thing genuine about them, but I wanted to show my appreciation for you both. Not just to thank Sun for the pearl he gifted me on my first day as your caretaker, but also to thank you for accepting me as your friend as well. I truly feel honored to be able to call myself your friend Moon and I want this to be a symbol of that gratitude and our friendship." You said with a wide smile, waiting for Moon to answer, but he had nothing to say.
You made this...For him? To thank him? An instinctive part of it saw it as a courting gift, that you were trying to court him but he quickly pushed that instinct down despite how warm and happy the idea made him feel. You had explicitly said it was for friendship reasons, so there was no need to overthink it. He gently turned the band over one more time before putting it on his upper left arm, smiling before turning to meet your excited, starry-eyed gaze.
"Do you like it?" You asked and he nodded, causing you to squeal happily. "Oh, I'm so glad to hear it! I was really worried for a second that you wouldn't like it due to how cheap it looks, so I'm really, really happy you like it!"
"It is a very thoughtful gift Starlight, thank you." Moon thanked you and you grinned, which made his mind come up with a lovely little prank.
"Of course, no worries!" You said to which he smiled innocently before grinning at you wickedly. He watched you give him a confused smile before it turned into a startled expression as he suddenly grabbed you and threw you into the water nearby, causing you to shriek.
"Sunshine!" Sun yelped as he quickly rushed after you, causing Moon to cackle at the sight.
He continued to cackle as he watched the two of you thrash about in the water before Sun finally got a hold of you and carried you out, the both of you now sopping wet. He chuckled at your disgruntled gazes, enjoying your misery as you sighed before tapping Sun's arm to let you down. Moon saw his reluctance, but he relented too quickly for you to notice and as soon as you were on your feet again you yawned loudly before turning toward the two of them.
"Welp, guess I'll start getting the evening routine started a little early then. I'll get you guys dinner and then I'm gonna go to bed, alright? So that means no more throwing me in the water Moon! I stink enough due to the water as it is!" You said with a cute little pout. He chuckled before nodding, watching as you relaxed somewhat at him though your eyes remained playfully wary.
"Of course Starlight. No more unexpected swims...For now." You sighed dramatically at this before smiling and nodding as you headed off to get their food. The two of them watched you go with fond expressions, but once you stepped into the storage area which had been replenished last night, Sun turned to Moon with a serious expression which Moon returned.
"I looked for Vanessa earlier today and I know what she looks like now. She's a female human with light blond and pink hair with green eyes, she should be fairly easy to find during your hunt. As for Clide, I didn't need to check, his scent has been growing super strong as of late, so he should be easy to find tonight." Sun said quietly and Moon nodded with a grin. This was why he usually asked Sun for help when he was about to go hunting, Sun was always able to find his prey with no problem and once Moon knew what he was looking for, nothing could escape his grasp. He was about to ask a few more questions about Vanessa and where she might be when they heard the storage area close and you started walking towards them, to which Sun smiled widely. "Welcome back Sunshine! What's for dinner tonight?"
"I thought we could have some tuna tonight to celebrate considering it's Moon's favorite, is that alright with you Sun?" You asked and Sun nodded wildly.
"Of course! Anything of yours will be perfect!" He said and you giggled before handing him a few tunas. Sun squealed happily before jumping into the water to eat. Once he was gone, you turned to Moon to give him his, but right when Moon was about to take it he realized something: He had yet to give you a gift.
He quickly jumped into the water at that thought and rushed after Sun, ignoring your cries as he needed to know how Sun made that pearl. As soon as Moon caught sight of him, he grabbed his brother's arm and yanked him back, causing him to yelp and drop his fish. Sun let out a cry before turning back to Moon with a frustrated expression
"Moonie?! Why'd you do that?! I was just about to eat the delicious fish Sunshine gave me!" He whined loudly, but Moon ignored him.
"I need you to show me how you made that pearl for (Y/n)." He said shortly, surprising Sun. For a few seconds, Sun just stared at him before grinning widely and crossing his arms.
"Well, well, well, look at who's gotten soft for a human~ Didn't know you had it in you Moonie-OW!" Sun yelped as Moon thwacked him with his tail, annoyed. "Alright, alright, alright! I'll tell you, it's really simple! All you have to do is compress your heart magic, that's all you have to do!"
"Your heart magic?!" Moon asked, his eyes widening in shock. He knew Sun had used magic to create the pearl, but this was- "Sun that's like asking them to be your lifelong mate! You do realize that, don't you?"
"Wait, WHAT?! I asked them to be my lifelong mate?? Why didn't you say anything?! Why didn't you try and stop me?!" Sun yelled, panicked as he grabbed Moon's arms and started shaking him back and forth, much to Moon's displeasure.
"Because I didn't know that you were doing that. Stop that!" Moon hissed before pushing Sun away, causing Sun to whimper. "Now, don't worry so much about it, they're human and probably don't even know what this means, so don't worry about it."
"Right..." Sun said as he nervously, though he still seemed unsure as he looked down and tugged on his head fins. Moon watched him do this for a moment longer before sighing and rolling his eyes at him.
"Okay, you can go now. Thank you, Sunny." Moon thanked Sun to which Sun gave him a small, toothy smile before diving after his precious fish, trying to forget the information his brother just told him.
Moon watched him go with a sigh. He really shouldn't have been keeping Sun away from other Mers as much as he had when they were younger, but there's no use crying over spilled milk. But now the question was, was he willing to do this? To make you a pearl of his own? After all, even if you didn't understand the meaning behind it, this was still a very big thing as he would literally be giving you a piece of his magical heart. As he pondered this he saw the milky white gem in his armlet glow in the faint sunlight as it disappeared from the sky and he smiled softly. Right, even if you didn't know the importance of his gift, you had given them a bit of your heart as well in a less literal way. It was obvious in the way you cared for them, worked with them, and especially in these little gifts you made for them. This was the least he could do as thanks for all of your kindness and care.
With that final thought, he turned away from the light and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath before focusing on his heart, feeling as his magic activated and started flowing through him. He floated there for a moment, letting his magic flow stronger and stronger before feeling the magic in the palms of his hands and slamming them together, keeping the magic trapped in his hands. He felt the magic fight against his hold, eager to flow out in its natural state, but he held firm, forcing the magic to wind together and solidify. He felt it become bigger and bigger in his palm until he decided it was big enough and stopped the flow of magic altogether, leaving the water feeling suddenly quieter than it had before.
Nervous, but also excited to see if he had succeeded he removed his hand and gasped in delight at the sight. There, in his palm was a small, black pearl. However, unlike most black pearls it had more of a midnight blue color and seemed to shimmer with tiny stars as he moved it around, letting the light fall on it in different angles. He let out a happy cheer before swimming back towards the shore.
As soon as he was close enough he jumped out of the water and over you, startling you. He chuckled at your shocked yet starry expression when he turned to you after landing. How cute~ You must've been waiting for him to give him his dinner. He felt a fond smile stretch across his face, but he quickly shook his head before grabbing one of your hands and gently placing the pearl inside. Before you could realize what it was he quickly grabbed a few tunas and jumped back into the water again and swam away before peeking above the surface. He watched as you looked at the pearl with that huge, stupid smile of yours before cheering, yelling out thanks, and heading inside with a pep in your step, causing him to feel a fuzzy, bubbly feeling in his chest.
Once you were back in your room though he quickly pushed the feeling away. He had some business to tend to tonight after all. He quietly crept back onto the sand and swiped away the sand where your key lay for their enclosure, which had fallen out of your pocket when he threw you earlier. Had he had this a few weeks ago, he would've eagerly grabbed Sun and left the place, but now he couldn't even entertain the thought of leaving without you, so as soon as he had done his business for the night he would return to this prison that was starting to oddly feel like home. After glancing at your door one last time, he smiled softly before heading out the door to start his hunt.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You stretched yourself out as you got out of the shower and started putting on your PJs, ready to retire after the long night you had last night and the long and informational day you had today. You could still barely believe all of the things that Henry had told you about Vanessa and Fazbear Co., but at least you now had more information that could help you find out what was really going on here, even though a lot of it was incredibly unpleasant.
You felt a shiver run down your spine as you thought of all Henry had said about Vanessa and her huge change. What could've caused her to change so much in so many ways? It just made less sense the more you thought about it. Maybe you could start investigating Fazbear Co. as well? Maybe, just maybe you'd find an answer after a short while! Wait, no, you probably wouldn't. If Henry, a seasoned scientist whose entire job was about researching and solving problems couldn't do it, the chances were abysmal that you could figure it out on your own.
You wished you could figure it out though. You hadn't thought about it much before today, but it was incredibly strange that you had no idea who your boss was or what they looked like, you had just gotten a letter one day after sending an application saying that you had been accepted. If it had been any other job you would've never thought of applying for it, but because this had been your childhood dream even the shadiest of things would not have stopped you from working here, for better or for worse. You wish you could say that you regretted the choices that had brought you here, but you couldn't.
Despite everything going on with Clide and Vanessa, you cannot find it in yourself to regret your choices. After all, if you hadn't taken this leap you would never have met your idol Charles Takko, nor gotten to know his awesome husband Henry! But worst of all, you would never have met your incredible boys. You could barely imagine a life where you were not working beside them, but you knew as well as anyone that they wouldn't be here for much longer. Tomorrow night you would try and check out Moon's tail in order to figure out what that lump was in his tail and as soon as he was healed, they would have to be released back into the while.
At least when they left they'd have something to remember you by thanks to those armlets. You smiled warmly at the memory of Sun's excitable reaction and Moon's silent wonder when you gave them your gifts before Moon gave you that black pearl. Speaking of, you needed to make something out of it for you to wear as a memento for when they were gone. You let out a sad sigh at the thought before placing the beautiful black pearl beside your equally beautiful white one and climbing into your bed and turning off the lights.
...You had about 10 minutes of peace before you heard scratching at your door. You sighed before getting up and heading to the door, annoyed before opening it and finding Sun there with the biggest puppy-dog eyes directed toward you as he lay on the ground. You quirked an eyebrow at him, repressing an instinctive 'aww' at his cuteness, to which he whined.
"What's up Sunny?" You asked as you leaned against your doorway tiredly to which Sun pushed himself up and started playing with a few of his rays.
"Sorry Sunshine! I just wanted to check up on you and make sure you were okay. After all, this is your first night staying here." Sun said and you smiled at him warmly. How sweet of him to worry about you!
"Thanks, Sun, but I'm okay, so how about you go and get some rest? You haven't been having a very consistent sleep schedule as of late and that needs to change as of tonight." You told him, trying to be stern but you sounded a bit too soft to seem serious, causing you to curse yourself despite it seeming effective enough if Sun's whine was anything to go by before he nuzzled his face into your neck s he hugged you.
"But what if something bad happens to you when the door is closed and neither of us can get to you?! I'd never forgive myself if anything happened to you Sunshine!" He whimpered and you felt your heart shatter at the sound of it. Oh crap, you had been trained for a lot of things before coming here, but cute Mers with puppy-dog eyes was not one of them!
"Okay then, what do you propose then?" You asked to which he smiled at you brightly with determined eyes.
"I could sleep next to your nest! That way if anyone comes in I can protect you!" He said excitedly and you giggled at his enthusiasm before shaking your head at him.
"That would be a great idea Sun, but you're forgetting that you sleep like the dead when the sun goes down." You said warmly before frowning as he shook his head at you, that bright smile of his never fading as he did so.
"Oh, that! It is true that we sleep really, really deep during specific times of the day, but it's only for an hour in the middle of the night and day respectfully, so I'll be the perfect guard for you throughout the night!" He cheered and you stared at him for a moment before smiling widely at the new information.
"Oh my gosh, really?! That's so, so cool! Is this always the case or is it different during things like eclipses or- Wait, no (Y/n), you need to sleep." You stopped yourself with a sigh before turning back to Sun with a tired smile as you realized you were too tired to argue with him anymore tonight. "Alright, if you really wanna sleep in my room you can, but it'll have to be on the floor. Will that be okay-?"
"Anything is more than okay if it's with you Sunshine!" Sun said happily before giving you a big wet lick in the middle of your face and going over to your bed before curling up next to it. You smiled at him fondly before closing the door and getting into bed yourself, burying yourself under your blankets and curling around your plushy as you did so. Before you turned off the light you bent down and kissed the top of Sun's head with a smile.
"Goodnight Sun." You said before turning off the lights, completely unaware of Sun's loud, beating heart as the fuzzy, warm feeling in his chest grew stronger.
°sun was thrilled to have someone new to help him and also to have a new friend.
°but once he saw you, he felt different like he immediately liked you a little to much.
°he loved how caring you we're to the children like in a motherly type of way, how you made sure the kids were ok and was extra caring to the ones who got hurt from playing.
°sun mostly was nervous when it was getting close to nap time because then moon would be out, and sun didn't want to stop being around you nor did he want to share someone as amazing as you
°if sun was ever having a malfunction he would absolutely love if you were the one to fix him and adores how caring and gentle you were with him
°if any rude parents were being mean to you he would be furious but would mask it as a kind but threating way
"now, now, NOW! It is very impolite to be rude to fellow workers here so WOULD you KINDLY LEAVE THE DAYCARE?"
°you would have to calm him down so then I wouldn't get that bad
°if the lights turned off sunny would try to fight turning into moondrop and would quickly warn you about moondrop and that is when you meet him and he was interested to meet you.
Moondrop
°when moon first heard that there was going to be a new worker that's going to be working with them he wasn't as interested as sun was.
°he thought it was just gonna be someone who would get in the way,but when he saw you through sun's eyes he thought you looked intriguing.
°you're beautiful eyes, the way you're nose twitched when happy , how you're long ears shot up in surprise just everything about you was breathtaking.
°moon would get mad when sun would tell you that he was bad and not trustworthy cause he wants you to rely on him and like him more than sun.
°moon loves how patient you are and loving to the children.
°he was starting to get impatient and wanted to finally be able to meet you finally so when the lights finally turned off he immediately wanted to scoop you in his arms so that's what he did.
°you squeaked in surprise as he nuzzled into your fur lovingly.
°then he quickly put you down a hurried to make a pile of pillows then carried you to the pile then held you close to his body.
"OH STARLIGHT YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG IVE WAITED TO HAVE A MOMENT ALONE WOTH YOU."
°moon is stroking you're fur lovingly with a big smile as he ignores sunny yelling at him in their shared mine to keep away from you he really doesn't care at all as long as he gets to hold you.
- Under the cut for length!
Sundrop
When Sun first meets you, they'll treat you just like any other employee. But over time, they become infatuated with you. Your smile, laughter, kindness to children, everything about you enraptured them.
At first Sun will hold back, that can't be right. They can't have feeling for a person, right? It's not in their programming to fall in love.
But over time, Sun starts to become frantic around you. Doing everything they can, short of neglecting the children, to spend time with you.
If you happen to be on the oblivious side, and never notice, this might go a bit easier for you. Sun is a master of distraction and will use it to their advantage to trap you in the daycare.
Once you are their's, safely stashed away in Sun's room high up in the balcony, there will be no escape except in death.
When the daycare is open is when you are safest as Sun still has their responsibilities to manage children. It'll be the best time to come to terms with how your life has become.
But when the daycare is closed, Sun is the master of distraction and it will help to ease some of your fear. Expect a lot of coloring, finger painting, playing games, and interactions with them.
If you've been such a obedient solar flare for Sun, in time they will allow you time out of their room to play in the daycare and only when it's closed.
Don't forget, the daycare doesn't have security cameras and Sun is quite a handsy animatronic. And despite their programming to be careful with children, it does not apply to you.
If your disobedient and a rule breaker, Sun has no problem accidentally hurting their solar flare. But they will patch you up afterwards with frantic apologies.
When Sun regains control after lights out and find your injuries from Moon, they will be one to patch you up every time with more frantic apologies in lieu of their counterpart.
As Sun can't leave the daycare, Moon will take on responsibility to gather substance for you. But the best time to eat will be when the lights are on.
Periods are when a softer, quieter side to Sun rises up. Their extensive medical knowledge, and possibly by then your body language, will let them know that you need tender care during this time.
When you become used to their touch, Sun's heated hands are a god-send for cramps, warm cuddles as they help ease the pain your in.
Soft rubs long after the pain medication stolen provided by Moon kicks in as Sun won't deny you anything you ask. But again only as long as you're not a rule breaker.
Tumblr media
Moondrop
Moon will a be slower to come around, but they will in time and with Sun's relentless insistence and infatuation with you.
Moon won't fully understand their counterpart's obsession with you at first. Both over time, they come to long for your smile for themselves.
As for being kidnapped, once the lights go out, Moon will whisk you away to their shared room with Sun.
Unlike Sun, Moon has no problem using fear to get what they want. Keeping you bound and gagged in the darkness of their room.
At first, Moon will prefer you to be asleep, moondrops shoved in your mouth that you're forced to swallow. But over time, their desire to interact with you overrides their programming.
This is when the real nightmares of the man in the Moon come to play. Especially if this is glitched version as they haven't interacted or touched another person in a while.
Bruises scattered across your body like constellations, cracked bones from squeezing too tight, tears will be shed by Moon. And they won't soothe your pain and worries at the start, only more of those wretched moondrops.
As Moon learns your limits and regain control of their body, the pain and some of the suffering will ease. But only if their star shine hasn't been breaking rules, as rule breakers must be punished.
If you happen to be under the possession of pre-glitch Moon, things will be a bit smoother from the beginning. They will still be slower to approach, but much less violent.
Pre-glitch Moon is also the safest to be around, if you can stay quiet and sit still for them. If not, it's lights out for their star shine.
Don't fight back from Moon's caresses and touch. They are much stronger than you, and fighting back means you aren't resting or sleeping. And that means more moondrops forced down your throat.
Where Sun and Moon differentiate when it comes to periods is that Moon will use it to their advantage once more.
Pushing you to limit, begging and pleading for pain meds, products, anything you need, until you cave into Moon's desire to be quiet for them if your in need of a punishment.
If not though, or you're naturally obedient for them, Moon will give you what you need as long as you stay that way. And soft cuddles and lullabies as you rest.
Tumblr media
Eclipse
Now, how exactly Eclipse comes about is still a bit of a mystery. Some say they're a glitch, other say dim light. But only you know the truth.
Eclipse has the option of choosing when they come out, but only when both Sun and Moon are in agreement. And once Moon has come around about you, they both want you, their solar shine.
When Eclipse is out, things can get quite quirky to say the least. Both Sun and Moon's personalities are blended together into this animatronic.
Which means Eclipse will both praise and punish you, though due to Sun's personality being much more hyperactive, it will come through a lot more noticeable.
Once both Sun and Moon have first shown you Eclipse, expect to see them a lot more. Both can't get enough of their star flare's attention this allows them to have equal time with you.
There will be similarities with Eclipse between the times you've spent with Sun and Moon separately, time to play games, activities, and quiet cuddle times.
But what makes Eclipse different is there's a high possibility by this time you have developed Stockholm syndrome, and they will take full advantage of it.
For safety purposes you do, or at least pretend to.
Sun has programming designed for caring for children, as does Moon, and it's only made stronger in Eclipse.
You will become theirs, and in turn their wife, as Eclipse has heard so much from the children about parents and desires to be one themselves.
Your mind will warp to fill the role Eclipse desires for their solar shine, and oh how wonderful of a wife you will be for them.
And just as with the other two, make sure to stay obedient for Eclipse. Punishments will be a mix of pain and overstimulation to your body from tickles until your crying and begging for it to end.
Eclipse is once again the best of both when it comes to periods, warm hands and soft rubs to ease your cramps, with medication and hushed lullabies to ease the pain and headaches.
Have fun with Eclipse! You won't be leaving anytime soon.
I Need Genuine Help
Don’t worry it’s not that serious but still serious enough to me.
I’ll probably not get a response, this is my most active account online and that’s saying something.
I am going to go trigger happy with tags just to get this post out there so I apologize in advance!
Respond to this send me an ask reblog I don’t care just help me lol.
I don’t know what to do I have to many ideas and no one in my life to help me.
No it’s not mental health and no it’s not that I don’t have anyone I just don’t have anyone who will know how to help me with this.
I am overwhelmed with so many ideas so many stories I want to create in so many different mediums and my brain won’t let me choose one.
I don’t even have a hyperfixation that I can lean on right now to get going with like fanfiction/art.
So I’m stuck in a limbo bursting with creativity but no outlet.
There is another issue
I am exhausted after work and rather let my ideas whirring around in my skull things on easy mode while I watch shows that bring me up.
But that’s not creative, it’s gotten to the point that jotting down my ideas aren’t enough I need to do something.
But everyone I know will tell me to go the capitalist route and pick the one that can make you money the soonest even if it’s not what I am enjoying most at the moment.
But I can’t do it, call it undiagnosed adhd/autism or me being stubborn as fuck but I want to enjoy what I do I am incapable of starting anything if I don’t enjoy it so this is where you all come in.
Help me pick?
What is my limited range of people who can hear my voice interested in the most?
I am going to be doing all of these I am unable to keep away from all my ideas
My issue is taking the first step I would appreciate my audience/community to say what they want to see out of the choices I want to pick so at the very least I will have like one person interacting with my stuff.
So this 31 year old gayby is asking for help thank you for your time!
Love you all out there!
And Here You Were~
A Sun and Moon x Reader (oneshot? series? drabble? I don't know yet)
AO3 Link
Tumblr media
What would happen if the cheery and innocent daycare attendant at the Megaplex grew attached to one person in particular? Would it become overly protective? Neglectful of the daycare duties? Is the animatronic capable of jealousy? Love? Hate?
Well, you should know. You are the one they've got their eyes on, after all...
*****
We remember the first day you showed up. It was a Tuesday, and you were terrified. Your little denim overalls and rainbow-striped shirt were a sight we never tired of seeing - it made you fit in perfectly with the colorful theme of the daycare.
"She's got some anxiety, and she is not to be excluded from naptime for any reason. She gets cranky without her naps and will just cry and cry and nobody can calm her down and-"
"Yes, yes, okay, ma'am. Trust us, we're all more than qualified to handle your little superstar while you're away. Isn't that right Sun?" the human daycare attendant pined, trying to calm your anxious mother. She looked a mess with her hastily thrown on baggy clothes and dark circles under her eyes. Her hair was up in a lazy bun, tangled as all hell, and her lips were dry and cracked. She was going through something. We pieced together through little snippets of conversation from you later on that your parents were going through a divorce, and she was fighting for custody while still trying to keep up with her demanding job. She was a strong and independent woman, so having to bring you to childcare made her feel like a failure. But she wasn't.
"Yes, of course!" Sun replied cheerily. He bounded towards your mother with excited energy - enough that it  absolutely terrified you and sent you into a screaming flurry of tears. Sun's rays shrank back into his head slightly and he apologized immediately. The human daycare attendant rolled their eyes and grabbed you anyways, while your mother reached into her bag and pulled out a few different prescriptions. Sun mentally logged everything you were supposed to take - anxiety medication with your lunch if you were still not interacting, nausea medicine if you complained of a stomachache after eating, and doctor-ordered melatonin to help put you down for naptime if you weren't sleeping.
Great, another helicopter mother, Moon said inside of Sun's head. They had done that for as long as they could remember. It was how the two communicated with each other when one of them had control and the other was stuck watching on from inside. But Sun ignored his brother this time, not wanting to miss a single thing your mom was saying.
The human attendant nodded nonetheless at your mom, taking the labeled freezer bag with the orange bottles and placing it behind the front desk to be logged momentarily. "I promise, ma'am, we will look after your little superstar well, and she'll fit in just fine. Isn't that right, Y/N?" they asked you, who was finally calming down from your screaming fit. Now you were staring at Sun with wide eyes, fearful but curious.
Over the next few months, you had grown to adore the daycare. Once you opened up, you got along well with all the other kids. Your personality began to shine through, and you seemed like the perfect child. You were a great problem solver, friends with everyone, and creative when it came to literally everything. The other children in the daycare always wanted to play with you, and you always made time for all of them. If there was an issue between your friends, you would help resolve it before Sun even had the chance to make it over to you. You never broke the rules, used your manners, and somehow encouraged every other kid to follow in your leadership.
But our favorite part about you was how you never seemed to treat the two of us as one in the same. We still remember the day you dragged most of the kids to the craft corner and encouraged everyone to draw cards for Moon. When asked why by your curious classmates, you would respond with "Because he never gets as many gifts as Sun, and I think that probably makes him sad."
You grew up with the daycare, and a year turned into two and then three.
But one day - a Monday, we believe - your mother came to drop you off, and abruptly told the human on shift that it would be your last day. She looked disheveled and even more tired than usual. Her eyes were red - she had been crying. You weren't your usual self that day, either. You were whiny and reserved, hiding away in the quiet corner. You refused to play with anyone, making excuses each time one of the other children tried to get you involved. You even refused to eat, and wouldn't sleep at naptime.
It was during that last naptime that Moon had taken you away from the other kids to try to understand what was happening. Sitting in one of the castle towers next to the ball pit, he finally asked you the burning question on our mind.
"Starlight, what ever is the matter? Sun tells me you haven't eaten or played at all today," he said with a softness he seemed to reserve only for you. You were clinging to one of the half-moon pillows with so much force for your little body, it made Moon worried immediately. You only shook your head as tears formed in the corners of your eyes.
We never did find out why you weren't returning.
The daycare wasn't the same after you had left. The children fought, naptime was difficult, and Moon seemed to fade from the little superstars' minds as if he was never important. But we pushed through nonetheless. We never forgot about you. We kept your drawings up on our wall in our room and would look at them any time we were feeling down. The sadness faded from a relentless pain to a dull ache after a year. And soon, we didn't really think about you much. Other kids came and went, and we just moved on.
Or so we thought we had.
We were informed that some things were changing about the daycare, about Moon, and about the Megaplex in general. We were forced to go to Parts and Service daily for about a month, having new programs put into our coding. After the month (and many refusals to answer our questions), we were told Moon was to patrol the Megaplex at night. We were asked several test questions by Vanessa, the new head of security, to make sure the programs were working properly.
"Okay, and what do you do if there's a code blue?" she asked.
"Seek out any head personnel and get them to safety before dealing with the intruder or intruders," Moon responded, crossing his arms. "Now can you please tell me why we're doing this?" he asked for the hundredth time. And once again, Vanessa ignored him, writing something on her clipboard.
"Okay, that's it, now follow me," she said, setting the clipboard down and leading Moon out of the P&S room. He did as he was told, not because he wanted to, but because that was part of the new programming. Unless going against direct protocol, the brothers were no longer allowed to do as they pleased. If given a direct order from security personnel, they were forced to follow it.
Where do you think she's taking us? Sun asked his brother, unbeknownst to the blonde. Moon shrugged, blinking his new eyes rather rapidly as he struggled to get used to the several new overlays he now had. He could see where each of the glamrock animatronics were, Vanessa's (or anybody's) level of clearance, and even call his wire out in the rest of the megaplex now.
Vanessa led them up to the atrium and around a corner to another woman sitting nervously in one of the cushioned seats for families to take breaks on. She also wore a security guard outfit, but she didn't have the same clearance as Vanessa. In fact, she seemed to have very little clearance, Moon could see, due to the new overlay. Sun gasped loudly inside their shared mind, making Moon flinch. What?! the blue animatronic hissed back.
Sun didn't reply, and Moon made an irritated noise. Vanessa was talking to the other security guard, when she finally turned to him and smiled. "Apparently you two have met before," she said, gesturing towards you, who stood up but kept your eyes to the floor. Something tugged at the back of Moon's mind as Sun tried to bring up a memory file. But he didn't need to. You looked up and locked eyes with them, nervousness written all over your face.
For years the brothers daydreamed of seeing you again. For years they sat in their room and wondered what happened to you. For years they waited patiently, hoping that by some miracle, you would be brought back to them again.
And here you were.
peas in a pod
ex assassin reader
You had always been fascinated by the legend of Moon Knight, the mysterious vigilante who protected the streets of New York City. You had read all the comics, watched all the movies, and even owned a replica of his signature crescent-shaped boomerang.
One night, as you were walking home from the movie theater, you heard a commotion coming from an alleyway. Without thinking, you rushed to investigate, only to find yourself surrounded by a group of thugs.
Just as you thought you were done for, a shadowy figure dropped down from the rooftop, landing gracefully in front of you. It was Moon Knight himself, and he was there to save the day.
Together, you and Moon Knight fought off the attackers, his movements fluid and precise as he took down each assailant one by one. When the dust had settled, he turned to you and gave you a nod.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice deep and gravelly.
You nodded, still in shock from the sudden turn of events.
"Good. You shouldn't be out here alone at night. It's dangerous," he said, offering you a hand to help you up.
You thanked him, feeling a strange connection to the masked hero who had just saved your life. As you walked away, you couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to fight by his side, to see the world through his eyes.
Little did you know, Moon Knight was also wondering the same thing about you. From that night on, he kept a watchful eye on you, silently protecting you from the shadows.
Eventually, you and Moon Knight met again, and over time, a deep and powerful love grew between you. Though you could never fully know his true identity, you knew that he would always be there for you, no matter what.
Together, you became the ultimate crime-fighting duo, with Moon Knight's strength and agility and your intelligence and wit. You may not have known his true name, but you knew that he was the love of your life, and that was all that mattered.
Yeah, I'd love to write for him! As of now, I haven't written too much with moon lol. Here's the link on ao3, and I hope you enjoy!
Moondrop x Reader - The Night Before
Moondrop was hugging the back your body like a vice as you laid on the soft, cushiony floors of the play area, not allowing you to go anywhere at all. It was... mildly uncomfortable— his metal body was pressing against your aching skin, and his metal arm felt like the antonym of soft as you laid you head on his forearm, but you didn’t say anything about it. Afterall, you were supposed to be asleep.
He gently petted the top of your head, humming a faint tune under his metaphorical breath. It was some sort of nursery rhyme, but it was hard to tell which one due to his voice being so rough and gravelly. However, it still was mildly soothing, and it would have lulled you to sleep... if you didn’t awake from a nightmare around five minutes ago.
You let out a soft sigh— and tried not to stiffen when he stopped humming. Did... Did he realize you were awake? You... couldn’t tell...
...After a very long pause he shifted around, curling more against your backside while nuzzling his face into your neck. He slowly moved his hand under your shirt, placing it right by the healed bite mark he left a few weeks ago. His hand felt very warm— he was made to be warm, but... it still caused you to gasp.
Moon paused... before chuckling lowly, moving his hand further up your shirt. He traced his fingers across a few older bite marks, seeming amused by your reaction. He knows you’re awake now.
“Moon,” you murmured, biting your bottom lip harshly.
“Y-Yesss?” He purred into your ear, his voice lightly glitching.
“Mh... please quit it... I’m trying to sleep... We’ve got a big day tomorrow...”
“...Were you n-n-not asleep beforehand?”
You cringed. “I-I was asleep... Just um... had a nightmare,” you said honestly. Moon liked it when you were honest with him.
He hummed at that. “Poor thing,” he cooed, patting your stomach while moving his leg more in between your legs. At least his leg had soft clothing to cushion your skin between his harsh metal ‘skin.’
You let out a soft groan when he traced his finger on the outline of a recent bite mark, causing him to lightly giggle. “Moon... please, I just want to go back to sleep. That’s all I want to do.”
“T-Too bad,” he said, still giggling. “You should’ve stayed asleep!”
A whine escaped you. “Mooooon...” You lightly squirmed around, “I had a niiightmare...”
He... pouted at that, softening up a little. “Niiightmare? Why didn’t you say so?”
“I was distracted by your hand,” you murmured, settling down just a little when you realized he wasn’t going to ‘punish’ you... Well, it wasn’t really a punishment to you— you didn’t mind the biting all that much, but he does bite hard sometimes. You like the little scars he leaves.
Moon petted the top of your head, snuggling more against your back. “Hmmmph... I don’t understand why humans have nightmares all the time...”
“...Not all of us have nightmares— I think some people go their whole lives without nightmares,” you sighed, relaxing more and more.
“Wh-Why do you have nightmares?”
You... shrugged. “I dunno... just because?”
“J-J-Just because,” he said a bit flatly.
“I dunno why I have nightmares! That’s like asking why the sky is blue.”
Moon... let out a sigh after a short pause. “Wh-W-What are nightmares like?”
You... blinked at the question. “What are nightmares like? Um...” You paused, trying to think, “It’s like... a dream, but scary. I guess. Nightmares are typically composed of what someone finds scary, or of something that someone doesn’t like.”
“...Am I in your ni-ni-niiightmares?”
You... frowned a little. “Um... yes, sometimes. But, nightmares also twist perceptions to make things seem more scary.”
He... hummed, somewhat pleased with that answer. You didn’t know what he found pleasing about it— maybe he likes other people seeing him as scary, or... or maybe he just wants to be in your dreams and or nightmares in general. You didn’t know... however, you did know that he was moving his hand just a little too close to your chest.
“Moon,” you murmured.
“Hm?”
“You’re getting a bit too handsy,” you told him simply.
“...Hmm...”
His hand slowly snaked back downwards, settling on your hip. It seems like he was done teasing you for now.
You let out a very deep sigh, relaxing more and more. “Thank you...”
Moon... began kissing the back of your neck, causing you to blush just a little. “M-Mi-Mine,” he hissed softly, before kissing your neck some more.
“Yes, yes... I’m all yours...” You managed to slowly close your eyes when he stopped kissing your neck, getting ready to fall asleep. “Mh... I can’t wait to finally get to bring you home with me tomorrow night,” you admitted.
He rumbled out another hum, scooching even closer to you.
“...I hope I can bring you home with me,” you continued, “I... I don’t know if our little plan would work... My internship only lasts for a few more weeks, and if something goes wrong, I don’t know if I’ll be able to try again.”
“M-Mine,” he reminded you, lightly nibbling the back of your neck. You tried not to giggle at the ticklish sensation.
“Always, always yours... I hope Sun does his part of the plan well... Hell, I hope I do my part of the plan well, and... I hope I don’t get caught... I really don’t want to get caught.”
Moondrop held you closer to him, and you let out a tired sigh. “I’d love to show you my place, Moon... I know I keep telling you about it and telling you about it— but... I really do want to show you and Sun.”
“Mine.”
You let out a soft grunt, wondering if he was going to keep saying that until you fell asleep. “Of course... Of course I’m yours. Yes, yes... Always, always...”
When he became quiet, you shifted around to get more comfortable, keeping your eyes closed. You were quite nervous for tomorrow night to come, but... well, with Moon, you’re certain that you’ll be able to get him out of this horrid place, and maybe— just maybe he’ll start to act normal again...
