Running low on the string side, but beyond that found somethings really cool and crispy. Felt like it was one that would work well with at least three of us, if not more than 3 for the themes of something. Haven’t fully figured out exactly a main one yet, but as a side piece in the theme of all of it works well enough. Though, regardless, for the Winter and all of that felt like there was something missing out of the theme. Couldn’t quite get around to what, but it was a bit difficult to decide on what was missing and what wasn’t missing entirely. Though, still was missing quite the Wintery Snowy Crisp Leafy Icy ❄️ and Cold pieces of the whole thing. Regardless, could only find about 3 things missing from the overall theme, when there was a short amount of time.

Dec 3rd: Stolen Pine
Written for @steddieholidaydrabbles
prompt: Mutual Pining | AO3: link | wc: 946 | rating: G | cw: none | tags: idiots in love, 'pine' ing, Christmas tree without glasses, light theft
Summary: Spontaneous tree theft and decorating, paired with some pining.
⍋↟⍋♡⍋↟⍋
They'd hauled in the tree. Eddie kept talking about how the evergreen part was the important bit and continued to explain Christmas's stolen nuances from paganism. Steve nodded and did his best to follow along. That was what he did lately, follow Eddie. Whether it started with a need to assure himself the guy was okay after their Upside Down torments, or if he'd honestly found Eddie intriguing from the get go, Steve couldn't say.
It didn't really matter anyway. He was positive that his feelings weren't going away as he nodded along with Eddie's excited ramblings. He hadn't even hesitated to join Eddie that night without product in his hair, glasses on.
Steve's vision had started to degrade. He'd noticed after his first run in with a Demogorgon. Pretty soon he legally needed corrective lenses to drive. Vanity prevented him from letting anyone other than Robin know. She'd assured him, ‘a boy is allowed to have his secrets. Just not from his platonic soulmate.’ Kinda the same reasoning behind why she knew how utterly hopeless he'd become around Eddie. The type of lovesick that had him helping Eddie with his non-christ related, Christmas tree caper.
continues after the cut
Eddie already knew about Steve's vision after helping Steve through an awful migraine where he just couldn't stand to have the contacts in. Steve'd been so nervous but Eddie just teased him about commiting to an ’Indiana Jones’ look and they kinda just moved on.
Steve hadn't expected Eddie at all that night when he knocked on his door. He'd come late to ask for help stealing a tree off some wooded, government owned property. He took one look at Eddie's ridiculous smile and dancing deep eyes and threw on a parka to help.
Now they were attempting to get the damn thing in a stand in the white-walled, impersonal living room of the house the ‘’Department of Energy’ had provided Wayne Munson with. They managed with no small amount of grunting and sappy fingers. More than once Steve reminded himself not to stare too hard at Eddie through the pine branches. He even liked Eddie's frustrated faces, the downward curve of his lips, the wrinkling of his forehead. Jesus, I'm pathetic.
When they finished he and Eddie stood back admiring their fresh cut theft.
“Wayne's at work for another two hours. Think we can get it done ourselves before he's back?”
“Do you have decorations?”
Eddie sheepishly twisted where he stood. “I picked up some lights, and yeah, there's a box of ornaments.”
Steve stilled, bowled over by the waves of ‘adorable’ pouring off of Eddie. “Uh yeah, I think we can manage.”
The box was one of the few items in a very small storage room Al Munson's name was on outside of town. Eddie had been contacted once as ‘next of kin' to make payments on the thing, and that's when he went to see it himself. Inside were his dad's ‘tools of the trade,’’ some suspicious looking luggage and duffels he recognized from a hair brained scheme or two. What a lame cache, he'd thought at the time. That was before he reached the cardboard boxes in the back. They were his mother's. Winter decorations and clothes that were never brought back out when the seasons changed after her death.
It was one of those boxes he'd picked up and brought to the new place, dragging it out now for Steve. Steve stopped unraveling lights to examine the ornaments. “These look like heirlooms,” he said, carefully picking up a blue, blown glass sphere and turning it in his strong hands.
Eddie loved the care and attention Steve directed at the one piece. The way a tendril of hair fell over his forehead; the consideration on his face. Steve was already in his ‘Clark Kent look’ when Eddie'd shown up to his place that night. Which made sense, it was late, but Eddie loved the glasses on Steve. He liked the superman analogy too. Steve was basically Eddie's superman anyway.
“They were my mother's,” Eddie said, touching the edge of a carved angel's wing inside.
Steve's mouth made a small ‘o’ shape and he carefully set the ornament back into the nestled layers of tissue paper. “They're beautiful Eds.”
They decorated together, and it was easy. Eddie was warmed just being near Steve but they seemed to naturally work well together, joking and spacing the lights and decorations just right. Steve got Eddie's radio out and they listened to crackly Christmas tunes as they went along.
They finished about thirty minutes or so before Wayne's anticipated return. The men stood back to admire their handy work. Steve took his glasses off.
“Prettier that way,” Eddie asked, breathier than he wanted to sound.
Steve chuckled. “Good both ways, but yeah. One of the only perks I guess? The lights all expand and blend a bit.”
Eddie stared at Steve taking in the tree. If the lights were as fuzzy as he'd said, Steve wouldn't notice Eddie's stare. Truth be told, Eddie always wanted to stare at Steve. The lights reflected in Steve's light brown eyes… Christ, he is so pretty. Eddie's fingers itched to twine themselves with Steve's. He was dying with every little kindness Steve showed him; dying to bite the bullet and confess. He wanted to know if his crush was one sided, but if things took a different turn... Telling Steve could ruin what they had, and then who would help him steal a Christmas tree at two am?
He could live with this for now, watching Steve lit by the glow of Christmas lights they hung together.
“Thanks Stevie.”
“Anytime Eds.”

Read if your Manifestations feel stuck....(It's not your fault)
Let's go through a hypothetical situation. You have a desire and you want it SO BAD and it feels SO GOOD but as you're manifesting, roadblocks keep showing up and challenges arise and suddenly you seem to be going around and around in a circle. If this rings a bell, chances are, you feel stuck.
Let me tell you, you're not alone. Nor are you crazy. In fact, if you're feeling trapped or if you feel that all the bad things and shadow parts of yourself are suddenly appearing out of nowhere and you just can't stop it, congratulations! You're in tune with the energy of the earth!
Let me explain.
The Winter Solstice is just around the corner and this means trouble. Sort of. The solstice represents a time where you are have to shed the old you to step into the best version of yourself. This doesn't mean your manifestations aren't coming or that they're not meant for you, it just means you have to let go of the old story to make room for the new.
So, you may be feeling a lot of pressure or that time is running out. Because it is. At least for the old version of you. You need to let go of the old story so you can manifest your dreams into your physical reality.
Doing Shadow Work can be scary (tell me about it) but once you get through it, it's so rewarding! There's not just a rainbow on the other side there's a whole pot of gold!
So take some time for yourself, go into hermit mode if you need, feel the fear, the sadness the guilt, feel it and let it go. Take this time to release all that is no longer serving you.
Set your manifestations on a back burner (you're not forgetting about them, you're just taking some time to make a clear space for them. Just like how you wouldn't buy new furniture while you still have the old furniture sitting in your living room) and heal your shadow wounds.
You can definitely get through this, and once you do, who knows? Your desires may just be waiting for you right then and there!

Happy Winter solstice to all my fellow witches out there! ❄ ✨🌛
Enjoy the magic of the longest night of the year.✨
Tumblr media
My solstice is very casual this year. I made some soup for a sick friend, lit some candles and placed them in the window, meditated a bit and than I prepped my 13 wishes for the Raunächte-Ritual. For those who are not familiar with this ritaual: You write down 13 wishes for the next year on 13 pieces of paper, put them in a jar or a little bowl and burn one of them each night on the 12 nights between the 24th of december and the 5th of january without reading them again. On the last of the Raunächte (january the 6th) you onfold the last piece of paper - that's the one wish you yourself have to ensure to fulfill while the others will be taken care of by the universe.✨
It's a lovly little tradition and it helps me to think about my goals and hopes for the next year.💕

Yule: The Winter Solstice
⋆꙳ •❅*‧ ‧*❆ ₊⋆꙳ •❅*‧ ‧*❆ ₊⋆꙳ •❅*‧ ‧*❆ ₊⋆꙳ •❅*‧ ‧*❆
Merry meet and welcome to the first pagan holiday of the Wheel of the Year, and the first installment of my Year of the Wheel series! I will practice witchcraft every day this year, and this blog will serve to document my works as well as share them for others' benefit.
Yule
Yule falls on December 21, 2023, where I live. It is the Winter Solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere; it marks the shortest day of the year, the day with the most darkness, but of course this also means the following days begin to get longer. Thus, Yule is celebrated as the beginning and end of the Wheel of the Year: it is the signpost by which we track our years.
Yule is an excellent time to celebrate the past and the future. Practitioners will often use this day to focus on cleansing; to re-affirm bonds, vows, pacts, and wards; to set goals, affirmations, and aspirations; as well as to reflect on the past year and what they've learned and experienced, and how they've grown.
During this time, I like to cleanse the negativity of the past year, embrace the positivity, and prepare for the upcoming one.
Yule Witchcraft
I will be doing a variety of works to celebrate Yule. Unfortunately I have nobody to share Yule with in my personal life, so there will be no feast in my home. Instead, I am conducting the following workings to prepare myself for the year ahead:
A Year Ahead spread. The simplest very first thing I like to do to celebrate Yule and the coming year is a Year Ahead spread. As simple as it sounds, you draw one card (tarot, oracle, your choice--I draw tarot) for each month. The image below shows last year's spread, with January at the top and the other months following deosil (clockwise). This year, I'm following full moons instead--I'll make a post hopefully soon into the new year about those too!
Tumblr media
Creating my grimoire. This one is a little extra, I'll admit. But I just wasn't satisfied with any of the notebooks or journals I could buy, at least not for under $40. So I decided to learn bookbinding and make one. I already have many notes in a digital grimoire for redundancy, portability, and searchability, but I find paper infinitely superior when doing spellwork or rituals. I'll gradually fill it out as I go, and maybe post the finished book / some spreads later.
Creating a tulpa and enchanting a ring. I'll probably (read: definitely. I mean look at my URL) do a post on thought forms in the future but for now Google it if you're unfamiliar. I learned something about myself in therapy recently--about a part of myself that manifests as self-hatred, but truly comes from a place of compassion. I will bind it to a ring I wear daily in order to work with it to serve me instead of hinder me.
Observe the 12 Days of Omen. Just a good tradition to observe following Yule. See tomorrow's post for details!
Cleansing my altar, my space, and myself, as well as re-confirming my wards.
Journalling. About the past year, the next, about my craft and myself. As part of this I may do some trancework and meditation, depending on my mood and time; I would also like to test out the oneiromancy oil and tincture I made (post forthcoming?? oof so many I have planned!).
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave a note. My asks are always open, too. Blessed be 🐻💚
see my Year of the Wheel masterpost for more!

Happy Witchcore Samantha Wednesday!
For those of you who are new here, this orginally stemmed from my obsession with Sam Winchester and Sastiel in the Supernatural fandom, and in an attempt to provide Sam a better life, I created an AU with a transgender MtF witchcore Samantha, a genderfluid cottagecore beekeeper/gardener Castiel, and non-binary toddler Jack Kline.
New audiences call for a slight change in direction, and while Samantha, Cas, Jack, and I are still available to answer questions about the family, Witchcore Samantha Wednesdays will now be focusing on making moodboards that fit the cottagecore and witchcore vibe. Suggestions and prompts are always welcome, just shoot me an ask or a DM!
Today's moodboard is all about Yule! Yule is the pagan celebration of the winter solstice, the shortest and darkest night of the year. We wait in eager anticipation for the light to return from the dark, and to celebrate the rebirth of the earth and hope for the coming year. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, however you celebrate! I am going out of town to visit family, so there won't be a moodboard next week, but we will pick back up the week after that!
I am extremely serious about needing suggestions in order to continue providing quality content, whether it be anonymous one word prompts, or elaborate collaborative pieces sent through DMs
*As with the rest of my moodboards, none of these pictures are my own, and I claim no credit for any art or design used, only for the concept created*

🌿Mistletoe🍒
Tumblr media
The ancient Celts believed Mistletoe was a gift from the Gods because it is a plant that does not grow in the earth. After the Winter Solstice, Druid priests would use a golden sickle to cut the plant to be used for protection, increased fertility and to heal disease. It could not be allowed to touch the ground as they believed if it did, it would lose its powers.
Mistletoe can help to bring peace to difficult situations, aids with love and abundance, heals your mind body and spirit, and can be used to bless your home.
It can be used in several spells including fertility magic, love spells, banishing spells, and protection magic.
Place mistletoe on your altar to ensure success in the coming year.
*Mistletoe is poisonous if ingested and do not burn the plant as it can be dangerous to inhale its smoke*
