i'm devastated but like in a good way, and I have a lot of lokius thoughts I need to jot down before i pull a timely and become spaghetti

spoilers for season 2's finale below !!

so in this house, lokius is alive and thriving - because listen:

Firstly, i've seen a lot of people upset with the finale and while that's super valid, here's some positive thoughts on why I kinda sorta dig what was given to us.

the recap never included that one ship while catching up on the main plot points of everything that has happened since the show's beginning. I think that should be pointed out idk.

from a fic writer standpoint the fact that Loki spent CENTURIES??? (+however long fighting sylvie and having repeating conversations with HWR) Like literally a huge chunk of time we don't see trying to fix things has so much potential. I'm giddy abt that ngl

That when Loki needed advice most, he time-slipped to Mobius to ask him his opinion. Not only that, he time-slipped to when they don't know each other yet, because he wants a Mobius who is unbiased. He's aware that were he to go to a place in the timeline where they're now close, Mobius would try and talk him out of abandoning all hope.

He knows, much like with Mobius' story, he's been hesitating to look past himself - to see the bigger picture, instead of what he wants. That hesitation has led to years and years of consequences, Loki failing each and every time, similar to how the officer of Mobius' story delaying the prune of a variant led to an eruption of consequences that resulted in the harm of their comrades too.

What Loki wants is save his friends, ultimately. At first, he wants to save his friends and be able to experience life amongst the timeline branches with them. He tells Sylvie he doesn't know where he would belong without them. What Loki realizes in the end is that to give them the choice he believes they deserve, he has to make a choice of his own. In the end, he finds belonging (at least for now, because I refuse to believe this is the end of TVA Loki's storyline) in putting those he loves before himself and what he wants, something Loki has done only a handful of times throughout the entire Marvel series. He needs that growth character-wise because, as we know, he will be involved in the next big phase.

I think that Loki time-slipping to ask Mobius for advice parallels last episode's 'it's about WHO' again. Who has given him the chance to be a better version of himself the entire show? Who helped him overcome his deep distrust in others, learning to care for them instead - so much so that he sacrificed himself to protect them? And again, Mobius is who Loki went to when he was lost and his words are what guided Loki to the decision he made.

A Sylvie and Mobius scene where Sylvie is seen caring for Mobius in the aftermath??? Mobius wasn't offering comfort to Sylvie, he was depicted as more distraught than she was. In fact, I'd say they really wanted to get across how 'alone' he felt with Loki's absence, standing watching a life he never knew from afar.

(there's a whole unpacking i want to do here about how we previously saw Loki looking longingly across the street watching Don's life too, before whisking Don away from his mundane family life for a greater purpose; something about Mobius looking at that life and recognizing there's a missing piece to it, and it's back in a place he no longer feels he fits because the TVA is missing something too; something about Loki 'supposedly' finding where he belongs, but not Mobius. those are thoughts for another post though lmaoooo)

I think they left Mobius' arc open-ended because he still hasn't achieved that greater purpose. That's (hopefully) because it's meant to be fleshed out in either a later season or next movies to come. And (hopefully x2), that purpose becomes Mobius helping to somehow save Loki from his current fate.

The final moments?? Hello??? Mobius' voice echoing as we pan in on Loki holding the branches together, teary-eyed with a soft, melancholic smile??? Seeming to be listening in on Mobius amongst the branches??? Mobius' 'let time pass' because he doesn't know how to move on from losing Loki?? Come onnnn, the tragic angst in just those shots were CHEF KISS

Overall, I know it's a let down not to have an actual canon status but I mean - were we really expecting the mouse to come through for us??? At least, we didn't get a 'no homo' moment so I count that as a win against rickey the rat. Lokius survived the finale, and that's what really mattered for me tbh.

Like idk, I could also be biased because I kinda, really dig tragedy and slow burn angst. And that's what this finale gave us, along with so many possibilities !! Them being separated leaves so much that can happen !! Like, like - Mobius has the opportunity to have an arc about saving his bae from holding time together indefinitely - from Loki's greatest fear, being left alone. Mobius getting into marvel shenanigans in an attempt to reunite with Loki somehow is beautifully romantic to me ya'll idk. I am delusional and I fully embrace that fact.

Okay honestly this isn't even ALL MY THOUGGHTS I HAVE MORE but this is getting long so I'm stopping here (currently: sending morse code signals out to help pull me back from the brink of insanity)

OW does zero to very few promo for projects where he is the lead, so I'm not surprised that he just went for the stage announcement and then said "bye!", but I get what other anon meant. If we look back to this time last year, it seemed that we were going towards a new Johnlockers/Freebatchers phenomenon, instead, with the exception of a couple of accounts, it's almost crickets. At some point there was a drastic decline, maybe Marvel not dropping the ball and doubling with Sylki helped

For the record: OW seems to have done at least one interview with Tom, Sophia and Ke Huy.

Well, there is still zero content for this crack ship. They should be starved to death by now, for lack of a better word. And I think that post about fandoms that I just reblogged is onto something when they say that people have no patience anymore. During and shortly after the season the stans and shippers are at 1000, but just a few months later they have already moved on to the next ship....maybe this time even a canon ship.

I see it myself when I look at some of the accounts I follow on tumblr and twitter. They were hard core Loki show fans and/or Sylkis, but almost all of them moved on to Stranger Things, and now they are onto the next show, or even the next one after that, and I don't even know anymore which it is currently because the change happens so fast. I think it's House Of The Dragon.

I am sure that we will witness a comeback of the Lokius shippers when season 2 airs, though.

Sylvie and Loki are the same person but also different people at the same time. Does that make any sense?

Like their personalities and powers are different because their experiences were different. Those experiences shaped who they are ( for example Sylvie isn’t as trusting as our Loki because of her experience ). Also they have made it clear throughout the show that they are very different, which is true. Loki and Sylvie are different people.

But fundamentally, down to their very existence, they are just variations of the same person. Yes they are very different and are different personalities and people, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t the same beings.

So yes I agree that Loki and Sylvie are two different people, but they are still variations of themselves.

Does this make any sense? Idk just a message from your local genderfluid person.

Summary:

Loki discovers that it's very romantic to have the one you love as your phone screensaver and realizes that he doesn't know what Mobius has on his phone. He didn't expect what he was going to find out. Nor did he expect that it would take him one step closer to loving himself.

Notes:

I've had the idea in my head for a long time of how Loki would react if he found out that Mobius had a picture of him in his Jotun form. So here we are. A dose of crying, fluff, love, to celebrate my 150th Lokius fanfic! Thanks for all those who continue to follow me, to comment, to give kudos, to share their love for this ship! I love you all!

Loki was on his way home when he was passed by two young girls who were giggling and showing each other their phones.

Amused, he heard them marveling at some super handsome star that Loki had no idea about.

"I swear, he's so hot, I'm going to put that picture as a screensaver."

The other replied with another giggle, "Yeah me too, at least until I can put the love of my life on there."

"Pffft, you're too romantic my dear!"

The other gave her a pat on the back of the head, "Well yeah, so what, I think it's adorable. This way he or she will know that I'm only thinking about them!"

"Hurry, we're going to miss the bus!" The two girls ran off.

Loki squeezed his phone in his pocket.

"Hm? The love of my life as my screensaver?"

He took out his phone and flipped through Mobius's photos, selected his favorite, the one where he had the smile Loki loved so much, and then put it as his phone screensaver..

He continued on his way and kept looking at his phone.

Suddenly, a thought came to him, what did Mobius have as a screensaver? He couldn't remember ever seeing it. He sped up because now he was eager to know.

He walked through the door of their house, "Mobius, love, I'm home!"

"I'm in the kitchen!"

Loki hung up his jacket, kicked off his shoes, and headed into the kitchen.

He was about to open the door when his eyes fell on Mobius' phone sitting on the counter in the hallway.

He stopped dead in his tracks and couldn't resist the temptation. He grabbed the phone and ran his thumb over the screen to see the locked screen appear.

He gasped in shock.

It was a picture of him, Loki. In his Jotun form.

It couldn't be. Why was this possible? What could have caused Mobius to put this awful thing in the background? Was it to remind him at all times how monstrous Loki could be?

Loki slid against the wall until he was sitting on the floor.

The kitchen door opened beside him.

"Loki?"

"Loki, sweetheart, what's wrong?" Loki didn't look up and heard Mobius kneeling in front of him.

Mobius' hand came to rest on his and he asked again softly, "Hey, what's wrong?"

Loki jerked his hand away more abruptly than he would have liked and finally looked up at Mobius. He handed the phone to Mobius.

"This! Your screensaver! How could you? Why?" he asked sharply.

Mobius understood immediately and simply replied, "What? I'm not allowed to put the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life as my screensaver?"

Loki retorted, "Don't make fun of me Mobius! Not you!"

Mobius moved closer to Loki, "Oh love, I'm not laughing at you. Look into my eyes, you'll know I'm not lying."

He took his chin and lifted Loki's face up to him and looked into his eyes before continuing, "Loki, I love you in all your forms and this one too. You are beautiful my love, not just like this, as you are in front of me, you are beautiful when you are angry, you are beautiful when you are acting stupid, and you are just as beautiful when your skin turns blue and cold, your eyes turn red and you become a giant. Because no matter what you look like, you are Loki, my Loki. My beloved god of mischief."

"You..." Loki swallowed, his voice clearly tight with emotion, "you're the first."

"The first to what, Sweetheart?" asked Mobius softly as he sat on the floor across from him, his legs circling Loki.

"You're the first to tell me I'm beautiful like this. To love me like this. I... I... you don't think I'm a monster."

Mobius wiped a tear that rolled down Loki's cheek with his thumb before answering as he looked him in the eye again, "No Loki, never. Even before we met, I never thought you were a monster. I never did. If I didn't fear for our ceilings, I would ask you to take your Jotun form immediately so I could prove to you how beautiful I find you, love."

Loki shook his head, "I don't understand. I... it's..."

Mobius didn't let him continue, and tenderly took him in his arms, "Loki, my love, come." He put him against him, wrapping his legs around him, his arms around his shoulders and Loki's head under his chin. He began to whisper a string of soft, comforting words. He felt his shirt get wet where Loki's face rested on his chest and his body shook with sobs that Loki tried to hold back.

"Loki, sweetheart..." whispered Mobius, "Don't hold back, let go, I'm here. Let it go, I can take it all. It'll be okay love."

Loki let go, every sob tore at Mobius' heart, but he received it all, just as he had told Loki. He stroked his back, kissed his hair and continued to whisper words of comfort, telling him how much he was loved, that he wasn't a monster, that he was beautiful, until the sobs gradually subsided.

Mobius moved just a little to get into a more comfortable position and grabbed a box of tissues from the counter right above them.Loki's hands clutched at his shirt behind his back. "Don't leave."

"Shhh Loki, sweetheart, I'm not leaving, I will never leave you my love. I promise."

He lifted Loki's head and with a tissue, wiped his eyes, then his nose before leaving a small kiss there. He pushed back a lock of hair stuck by the tears behind the ear of his lover and let his hand on his cheek. He said to him, the voice and the eyes full of adoration, "Even with your nose and eyes reddened by tears, you are beautiful my love. I love you."

Loki, his eyes still glistening with tears, his lips trembling threw his arms around Mobius' neck making him fall backwards.

They both began to laugh, a saving and beneficent laugh that washed away the last of Loki's tears.

When their laughter stopped, Loki was on top of Mobius with his face inches away from his.

Mobius looked at him intensely and asked, "Do you believe me?"

Loki looked at him questioningly.

Mobius repeated, "Do you believe me when I tell you that you are beautiful, even in your Jotun form?"

Loki shyly nodded his head.

"I want to hear you say it sweetheart."

Loki said softly, but with a firm voice, "I believe you Mobius."

Mobius smiled sweetly and said, "Then prove it to me. Let me see you, my love."

Loki bit his lip, hesitating, then got up to go into the living room where the ceiling was higher, just in case. Mobius followed him.

Loki asked in a slightly shaky voice, "Are you sure?"

Mobius stepped forward, kissed him gently and replied, "Perfectly sure. go ahead."

Loki closed his eyes and could not immediately see the look of wonder on Mobius' face as he transformed. When he was in his full form, Loki didn't dare open his eyes, a tiny fear of being rejected still lingering.

Mobius said softly, "Open your eyes, love."

Loki obeyed.

Mobius gasped, "So beautiful..."

Loki saw in Mobius' eyes that he meant what he said, That he was only being sincere.

Mobius came closer, "May I?"

"What?"

"Touch you."

Loki nodded and Mobius moved his hand forward slowly, ran it gently over his chest, then slid it up and had to stand on his tiptoes to be able to touch Loki's lips with his fingertips, which parted to let out a small sigh.

Mobius cocked his head to the side and asked mischievously, "Will you help me?"

Loki didn't understand what Mobius meant.

Mobius chuckled softly, "Well, I would like to kiss you, but there is no stepladder, so a little help from my tall, strong, and handsome lover wouldn't go amiss."

Loki smiled and passing his arm under Mobius' butt, he lifted him until their lips were at the same level. Mobius put an arm around Loki's neck and captured his lips in a kiss that left no doubt about how he felt about his lover.

Then he pulled his head back a little to catch his breath and said, licking his lips, "You are so beautiful and you are mine."

This time it was Loki who took his lips in a kiss that said his love, his gratitude, his joy to be loved.

When he pulled back, Mobius traced the lines of his lover's blue face with his fingertips and said, with a half smile on his lips, "How about you take me to our bedroom?"

Loki made the gesture of putting him down when Mobius shook his head and said, still smiling, "I said take me to our bedroom. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of those big strong arms."

Loki laughed happily and lifted him up completely to carry him in a bridal style.

As he walked toward their room, his precious burden in his arms, he whispered to Mobius, "Thank you."

Mobius raised an surprised eyebrow, "Thanks for what sweetheart?"

Loki pressed a kiss on his forehead and replied, "You don't have to thank me for that, Loki, there's nothing easier than loving you. So hurry up and take me to our room so I can show you how much I love you."

To the sound of Loki's happy laughter, they entered their room where Mobius hurried to show Loki how beautiful he was in his eyes.

No matter what he looked like. _________

Def a wip, I’ll probably clean it up later today as long as my entire be----ing decides to COOPERATE. (edit 2 hours later: apparently my brain turned off mid sentence)

More ranting under the cut...the ramblings of a very mentally unhinged quail WHO JUST LOVES THREE SPECIFIC LOKI SHIPS *CRIES*

In chronological order:

Dashingfrost is like...my OG Loki ship. Is it cause they’re both green based colour palettes? Both are narcissists' and like to dress well? That outfit to Jotunheim Josh Dallas wears in Thor 1? Fur shawl nonsense with double pauldron capes? HOLY SHIT. What a tool. Love it. And the Zachary Levi variant Fandral gets more intricate armor detailing and a full cape (which we respect) and his disheveled look is a great contrast to Loki with a more clean cut vibe. Again, the OG Asgard royalty/protector dynamic. The growing up to slow burn love each other over centuries. Easier to encapsulate a story about a more Norse myth centric story (If you don’t want to bother with super heroes in general). LOVE IT. Totally didn’t stay up till 11pm reading Dashingfrost. BTW, the name is charming. It’s a very Disney Prince(TM)-esque theme (lol cause Josh Dallas was Prince Charming in Once Upon a Time and Zachary Levi voices Flynn Rider in Tangled) It’s a very cute, charming name. It’s a charming ship that kinda ticks all the fairy tale, norse myth, potential centuries of tragedies, kinda stories. Also, out of all the Warriors Three, Fandral seems to be canonically (or fandom wise) the least hostile towards Loki as Thor’s best bros. He also has some banter with Loki in Dark World as well. We don’t talk about the untimely demise of the Three in Ragnarok. I felt so betrayed even tho I love Ragnarok as a movie.

Frostiron is that mid MCU ship that started with Loki throwing Tony out of a window by his neck, with one hand. (MARK ME DOWN AS SCARED AND HORNY) Fell for the ship hard even though it’s the most “never ever would be canon” air about it.

Different height dynamic. Loki tall, Tony smol. Both have equally massive egos and big brain energy for their respective crafts. BOTH OF THEM HAVE BIG DADDY ISSUES. All that potential childhood traumatic angst. A lot of angst in this ship...now that I think about it. Exploring their individual PTSD issues either with Tony and his impromptu trip to space and his anxiety attacks or Loki being mind melted and tortured by Thanos....etc. a lot of potential healing and comfort uwu. More suffering ideas? The concept of mortality. Loki lives a long time, Tony no lives a long time. MORE SUFFERING.

Tony and Loki can swap the sugar daddy role. If Loki is on midgard or if Tony is on Asgard, which ever poison you prefer. Uhhhh...I also enjoy the amount of snark you can get out of them. Both from completely different realms, but they are kind of the same kind of messed up, big brain, ego driven idiots. Also, their ship name is metal af.

Lokius, not as cool of a ship name because it’s just a traditional melding of their names, but we respect simplicity. Also, the most canon ship we’re gonna get. The coolest ship potential because VARIANTS. Not the other ships can’t be in AU’s, but Lokius is basically “You want an alternate universe? VARIANT THAT SHIT”. Love it.

Mobius is also a very patient, caring character in general. Besides knowing Loki’s entire story front to back, he’s just very sympathetic without being half hearted about it. Mobius is very much 1000% capybara energy. Loki, the hostile alligator sitting with a chill capybara. That’s it, thats why I love this ship. Capybara energy~

BUT THEN THEY ENDED THE SERIES WITH MOBIUS BEING LIKE “Who are you?” and I bout fuckin punched my monitor and screamed. I could eat my own teeth. LET. HIM. KISS. THE. COWBOY. anyway....Lokius, yesssss. A lot of potential with infinite and veritable possibilities.

Ok, that’s all. Thanks for coming to my ted talk, I need to lay down and cry over Loki shipping now.

So. I know I never post about the fandoms I’m involved in. But I have a Loki rant cus I’m honestly so tired.

I ship Lokius. And I got so excited when they revealed Loki to being bisexual (and genderfluid) since I myself am bisexual. We got our first canon confirmation of a queer character on screen in the mcu. And that made me so fucking happy. And hoping for some sort of on screen queer relationship in the future. But after this episode, and the stuff that’s happened with The Owl House, I just don’t think it’s possible.

Disney is homophobic. There’s no doubt about it. Yes we have some representation in the MCU now. But it’s only Loki. And the genderfluid confirmation was very subtle. And there are some arguments that the confirmation actually only refers to his shapeshifting. And as for the bisexuality, it was a line that didn’t explicitly state it that can easily be edited out. And it was only explicitly confirmed that he is bisexual on social media. This is still a big step. There’s no denying it. But it’s going to be a long time before we get any on screen queer relationship in the mcu. Or any Disney property tbh other than The Owl House (which as far as I know hasn’t been confirmed that Lumity will happen. Though I think it will happen. And so does the rest of the TOH fandom. And it’s heavily hinted at. And the characters have been confirmed on social media as bisexual and a lesbian).

In regards to Sylki. I don’t have a problem with the ship because it’s a m/f ship. That’s fine. I’m a bisexual female presenting person with a boyfriend. I’m technically in a “straight relationship” and being in a m/f relationship is not wrong. It doesn’t invalidate your bisexuality. You are still queer. My issue with Sylki is that it’s selfcest and that makes me mildly uncomfy. You can ship it if you want to tho. I personally, just don’t.

Now why do I think there isn’t a possibility for any future queer relationships in Disney media and in the mcu? Simple. With what’s happened with The Owl House it’s proven Disney is homophobic. The Owl House is, as far as I know, the first Disney property to have canonically queer main characters and the first Disney property to have a future queer relationship (I hope) between two main characters. And this show has been amazingly received. It won a Peabody award for goodness sake. And the fandom is huge! The show is incredibly written, has incredible animation, incredible representation, and incredible characters.

Disney has no reason to cancel this show. But what do they do? They make season 3 it’s last season. And season 3 will only have a few episodes, not even a full season. Seems kinda suspicious does it not? A show that has tons of good reviews and is so good it got a fucking Peabody award getting canceled after such a short time of airing. Why would that be? One can only assume it’s because the show has queer characters and will likely feature a queer relationship eventually.

Disney is homophobic. So to other queer viewers, stop getting your hopes up. We keep on getting baited. And the more we get baited the more money we give them. Stop giving them money. Stop letting them bait you. And then maybe. Just maybe…they might realize they can’t just use us for profit.

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Sometimes. I try to if I’m not in a non-social mood. Mostly, if I start off on my page before reading any fic and see that I have something in my inbox and it turns out to be a comment on my fic, then I’m more likely to reply to it. Idk why it works like that. Otherwise, it’s kinda touch and go whether or not I’ll reply to something, you’ve got a 50/50 chance, but I always read and appreciate every one that I get.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

*Looks at my abundance of angst fics* There’s... a surprising amount of angst without happy endings in my repertoire. Um. I’ll give you three that I vividly remember. (All of these are Star Trek and Spones) Written In The Stars - This is one of my really early works, and was gonna have a sequel that made it have a less angsty ending, but I could never get into the rhythm of writing it. I won’t spoil it, but this is probably the only fic I’ve written where Sarek is a straight-up dick. Battlefield - As the title suggests, there’s war with no real context. And major character death. It’s sad. I genuinely made people cry with this. I am both proud and apologetic of that. Unreal - This is probably one of my more complex concepts, and I’m really proud of it. Features ooc Spock with contextual reasons I won’t spoil, defensive/protective McCoy and major character death of a sort.

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending

This is kind of difficult, bc while I have excessively written angsty endings (see: above answer) I do usually write happy endings, and I can’t remember all 160 fic endings left over, and even then it’s difficult to rank them by happiest. I like Nutcase {Murdoch Mysteries: Watts-centric) a lot, oh and also Blame It On Me (Star Trek Pricard: Hughnor) which is angst with a happy ending (and has amazing art accompanying it). There are many others with happy endings, but like I said I have no idea how to rank them by “happiest”.

Do you write crossovers? If so, What is the craziest one you’ve ever written?

I don’t really, but I have written one as a request that I really really enjoyed. A Good Day is ThorBruce and is set in the DS9 era of Star Trek, in which Thor is a captain and Bruce is his chief science officer. It’s really adorable and features sleepy, over-worked Bruce and a very characteristically happy Thor.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

No, I don’t think so, unless you count unsolicited advice I felt I couldn’t turn down on ff.net when I was struggling to write Uhura. I’m kind of surprised I haven’t tbh (not that I’m complaining) since I do write for some very popular fandoms and ships (although, conversely, also some very niche fandoms and ships).

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

I write it but have only ever posted it thee, four times if you count the exploratory one I posted under a pseudonym that wasn’t really that smutty. I’m hoping to get the confidence up to post some of what I’ve written tho, bc I do really like hat I’ve managed to do with some of it.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not as far as I’m aware.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, I have! A lovely person found my fic 1967, which is probably one of my favourite Spones fics I’ve written, based around the UK’s decriminalisation (well, partial) of homosexuality, and traslated it into Hungarian here. I’ve not been able to check it out, due to not knowing a thing in the language (tho I could probably ask my friend to) but the translator seemed really lovely, so I trust them to have done a good job.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Not something I posted, but before I even started posting fanfic, me and my best friend really randomly started writing a Star Trek TNG x Star Wars crossover whenever they were at my house. We gave up on it after about a year and never wrote much for it, but it was... it was something.

What’s your all-time favourite ship?

This changes all the time with my hyperfixations! One that will always be in my heart is obviously Spones, my og ship and within my special interest. Currently I’m obsessed with The Witcher so I’ve got Geraskier on the mind but who knows when that might change!

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

In terms of fanfic I don’t really have any that I don’t think I’ll ever finish. I have an original script that I started writing months ago but only got about three scenes into and haven’t touched since bc I don’t actually have a plot for it.

What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue; Is situations one? That sounds like a good and fancy way of saying AUs; Finding synonyms should be one, that’s like half my search history

What are your writing weaknesses?

Description; Despite my talent of finding synonyms I feel like I do repeat words a lot; Planning and outlining, I just don’t do it - it works for me tho.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I’m pretty sure the only times I’ve really done it is for Jedtavius (having Oct speak in Latin occasionally) and I might have done it once or twice with Spock speaking Vulcan, both times it’s mostly terms of endearment or Oct wanting to be romantic. Idk, I don’t really care about reading dialogue in other languages as long as there’s a translation somewhere in the work or I can easily pick it up or search it. Just do whatever, it’s your writing. As long as you do it well and it makes contextual sense, I don’t really care.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Unposted: Star Trek: The Next Gen Posted: Sherlock (I actually recently reread my first ever posted fic, it’s a long haul (just over 45k), but if anyone ever wants to see a work where my writing visibly improves lemme know and I’ll email the pdf to you)

What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

Why would you do this to me??? I love most of my fics!!! I’m just gonna link a few here cause I’ve been doing this for an hour now and it would definitely take me an hour to choose just one! The Relationship Series - modern AU, autistic Spock (written by a self-projecting autistic writer), there’s angst spattered about but is especially prominent in part 6, I just really love this series Promises You Can’t Keep - Loki spoilers, I love this bc it’s based on “what if my finale theory was right instead of being debunked three minutes into the episode”, definitely angst with a hopeful ending I love all of my Charite At War fics, but I’m gonna link my 20 years post-canon fic Grow Old With Me and my modern AU You Give Me Your Light - both have some heavy topics (post-canon is set in 1960s East Germany, modern AU topics are tagged) but I adore both with my entire heart You’ll Never Burn - Merlin/Merthur, again kinda heavy (not as heavy as the Charite ones in my opinion) but short and everything is tagged I love all of my Babylon 5 fics but Secret Rendezvous will always have a special place in my heart. It’s very sweet and essentially follows Vir and Lennier trying to navigate coming out about their relationship to their ambassadors I also recommend all the of the fics I’ve already linked in the post ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now for the hard part - tagging!

Black Mercy, scientific name Ater Clementia,[8] is a plant that creates a dream of a person's perfect life by tapping into the pleasure centers of a person's brain, while keeping the victim totally paralyzed.

hey remember when i had actual fics in progress and when people were shipping loki and mobius together as a joke me neither read this NOW

He opens his eyes and wants to close them again.

Not in the I-don't-want-to-see-this way, but more in the I'm-so-relaxed-that-interacting-with-the-real-world-is-bad way. There's a breeze settling on his body right now, leaving him in a cool and relaxed state. He breathes in the air, sinking down into his chair.

"Mobius." He registers the voice and remembers why he's awake.

He cracks his eyes open and the God of Mischief smiles at him. His raven hair is down and he isn't in his TVA attire, opting instead for some swim trunks. Sunglasses are perched on his head, a swipe of sunscreen on his nose. Mobius mirrors the grin at his companion.

"Mobius, for all your talk, you haven't even gone on the jet skis." Loki steps aside and there, on the shore, is parked one 1993 Yamaha Waveblaster. The transport of his dreams. He gets off his beach mat, feels the sand on his feet as his eyes are pinned on the vivid violet of the model.

"Loki, this is-" The words escape him. He feels something tug at his heart, something sappy and sweet threatening to crawl up his throat and vomit all over Loki. But before he can even finish his sentence, the man grabs his wrist and practically tugs him along to the jetski.

He's laughing and Loki's laughing and his hair is whipping around and God, he feels so content. The perfect moment.

He swings his legs onto the seat, Loki sitting behind him. As Mobius revs up the engine, Loki grabs onto his waist. "Scared?" Mobius teases.

"Cautious." He bites back. The grip tightens. Mobius looks down at the hands holding onto him for dear life and-

Is that a ring?

Gold against pale skin, extremely simple band. His gaze switches to his own hand, where a similar one lies on his ring finger.

A stupid, massive grin makes his way onto his face. "Are you ever going to start this thing, I made so much-" The rest of his sentence is cut off as the engine roars to life and the jetski turns to speed off.

The water sprays at the pair as they move through the beach. As he makes those acrobatic sharp turns and speeds through the water at breakneck speeds, he realises that this freedom, this adrenaline, this joy is almost nothing compared to knowing that the man screaming at him to slow down is his. For all time, always.

They get back to the shore, smiling and sopping wet and deliriously happy. They step off the vehicle and Mobius takes the opportunity to interlock his fingers with Loki's, the Asgardian barely blinking, the only sign anything happened is the pink blush on his cheeks.

They make it back to their beachside house (Their, Mobius repeats in his head. The word makes him giddy.) and he glances at the signs of their life in their house. A TVA jacket on the couch, the orange letters peeling behind it, the Miss Minutes on their coffee table, glasses from Ravonna on their counter. He makes his way into the kitchen, opening the fridge when a towel makes a soft thump onto his head.

"Some mischief man, aren't you?" He asks. He hears a giggle beside him. Of course, Loki's magicked himself presentable, a green and yellow shirt with a gaudy print over some basic shorts.

"Some TVA worker, all slow and unpunctual." Mobius starts drying off his hair. "Not a real word."

Loki looks at the clock they have over the counter. "We might have some extra time." Mobius quirks his eyebrows up and always ten steps ahead of him, Loki pulls him closer and puts his lips on Mobius.

It's a quick kiss, but Mobius sinks into it. His eyes are shut, all focused on the important task at hand and he-

He pushes away.

"Mo-"

"You're not real." The confirmation causes his reality, this illusion to shimmer around him, like a curtain moving when wind threatens to blow it wide open. Loki has the audacity to look surprised.

"Did you hit your head out there?" This Loki moves closer to him but Mobius moves backwards. He can't even look at this, this mirage, while knowing that he was on a mission to bring back an asset after the TVA received a transmission of Loki, locked away in a cell.

That he isn't happily retired and married, but on his way to save a man who once looked him in his eyes and ran to leave him.

He blinks, surprised to find his view a little blurrier now. The house around him starts to look less like a house full of memories, more like a cheap set. A cheap trick. The walls are made of carboard. The windows are painted. In front of him, Loki morphs but he can't look.

He looks at the house crumbling around him, the photos on the wall that held another life, that held his life vanish. The mugs and the jacket and the rings that could have been his.

In another life.

He looks straight in front of him, to a blonde woman in a uniform he knows so well. "You're a difficult man, Mobius."

TVA officials don't get a break. They make sure the Sacred Timeline is in order, they make sure variants are taken care of, and they do not settle down in little cottages after their perfect weddings.

They save assets who they should never have gotten attached too.

For all time. Always.

worst quality: ah.. mass murdering much? His coping strategies sadly often involve (many) other people being hurt. He’s manipulative, can be very selfish, all around kind of a shitbag at times! But he’s MY shitbag!

Notes: I first read this a long, long time ago and my goodness, it still holds up as a beautiful fic. Interesting and intriguing plot, beautiful characters, and a heart-wrenching twist.

Summary: Crossover Harry Potter/Avengers - A collection of soulmate AUs between Harry Potter/multiple Avengers.

Notes: What can I say? I’m a sucker for fix-its, happy endings, and crossovers.

Summary: Fire Emblem: Three Houses: Six months into the school year, Hilda comes to the horrifying realization that everyone who gets paired up for weekly chores ends up dating. Claude proceeds to make it his life's mission to pull weeds with Teach.

Notes: I absolutely love this mini-fic. So many sweet pairings, it’s funny, and I love both the romantic relationships and the friendships. Short and sweet.
