needy (BLACKPINK Rosé)
Tumblr media
word count: 3.3K
(i'm a bit rusty, lol)
You hear an exaggerated sigh behind you. You ignore it, choosing instead to smirk at your screen as your team continues with its quest.
Your online friends would call you a complete idiot for not doing what you should be doing versus what you’re actually doing.
It wasn’t intentional.
At least on your end, it wasn’t.
Well, to an extent.
You shouldn’t be focused on finding this stupid shield Jungkook read about from a gaming article with this new update.
You should, however, give all of your attention to the woman laying on your bed.
But it’s not that simple.
See, the thing is, when you meet someone as famous as Park Chaeyoung, or Rosé, or your favorite Rosie or Chaeng, there are rules you’ve established to make this relationship work.
Rule number one: no one can know unless it’s disclosed to her company. Privacy and all that, not only for her, but for you as well.
Rule number two: you specifically aren’t allowed to date anyone else. The rule applies to her because you are officially together, like boyfriend-girlfriend kind of together, but she likes having so-called power over you.
Rule number three: if you’re in each other’s presence, undivided attention is a must. Time is precious for the both of you after all. She has a hectic schedule that takes her all over the world while your line of work has you constantly troubleshooting to make sure everything runs smoothly.
So it was a surprise when Rosie showed up at your apartment a little before midnight without a heads up. She knew what you were doing this evening, but you hadn’t heard from her since morning. You, being you, figured she had an event or a rehearsal or something that kept her occupied. Not that you weren’t involved in her life, but her schedule constantly changed. It was hard for you to keep up.
Rosie lets out another exaggerated sigh that it actually distracts you, causing your character to die in this part of the quest.
“Dude seriously?” Jungkook’s voice is in your headphones, chuckling. “You of all people dying to that?”
“Shut up,” Is all you say, swiveling your chair around to your girlfriend dressed in more comfortable clothes than what she arrived in—your clothes specifically. She has a habit of rummaging through your drawers. Not that you minded, she looks hot in whatever she wears. There was just something about her wearing your clothes that had you feeling some type of way. You mute your mic, double checking it is in fact muted before asking, “Everything alright?”
“I’m over and my boyfriend won’t spend time with me,” Rosie huffs out, crossing her arms.
“If I knew you were coming over, I wouldn’t have logged on,” You roll your eyes, glancing at the screen to thirty seconds left before you respawned.
“I called,” Rosie glares. Someone else might’ve folded under her gaze, but it doesn’t intimidate you.
“And my phone was in the living room,” You say, slightly apologetic, but the respawn sound plays that has you turning back to the screen.
“Yeah yeah, play your stupid game,” Rosie mutters, which you hear loud and clear while the rest of the guys talk about their day.
See, meeting Rosie was pure chance, a deal of the hand you weren’t expecting. Your gaming company drove the development of her group’s mobile game and when it was time to launch, the members of BLACKPINK were there.
At the time, you were just one of the developers since you had more of a managerial role and took it last minute. You were overseeing the game’s development more than anything, giving your two cents as needed, but were hands off for the most part.
According to Rosie, as she told you during your first date, you were indifferent to meeting them as opposed to everyone else on the team who brought merch for them to sign. She noticed you before the other three girls did, and made sure she personally introduced herself to you.
Rosie’s beautiful. You’re not blind. You get the appeal. You guessed it was that you treated them like normal people instead of idols that had most of your coworkers swooning in their presence.
She’s also clingy, not that you minded. She’s slowly told you about her past relationships–lies, cheating, using her. It left wounds of insecurity that have made her feel unsure of who she could trust her heart with.
One drunken night after spending it at Jennie’s, tangled in your sheets, Rosie told you she felt safe with you.
Though, as of this moment, you sense the irritation rolling off of her.
“What the fuck?” The controller falls into your lap when you see Rosie suddenly beside you.
“You good over there?” Tae asks.
“Yeah, I just gotta mute myself for a sec, my girlfriend’s calling me,” You mute the mic again, grabbing the controller before turning to Rosie. “What?”
“I’m bored,” Rosie states simply.
“And you want to watch me play?”
“Can I?” You raise an eyebrow, knowing her too well that she’s up to something.
“Did you want me to grab you a-” Rosie doesn’t let you finish, opting to sit in your lap. “Okay fine, no funny business.”
Rosie shrugs, settling comfortably against you as you unmute yourself, “Sorry.”
“Are you in trouble?” Jungkook jokes. Your friends know of your girlfriend, but you have yet to give any information on her. Again, privacy and all that.
“No, she’s just being needy,” That earns you a slap on the arm and a glare.
Your friends laugh, which Rosie hears, slapping your thigh this time. You squeeze her body with your arms before resting your chin on her shoulder as you continue playing.
Time goes by, Rosie starts squirming in your hold. She was never one to sit still. You let go and she tilts her head back onto your shoulder before she relaxes against your chest. It’s nice being with her like this. She comes over often, but not often enough.
You haven’t seen her in almost two weeks. The group just finished their last leg of their tour before their encore performances begin. They have a show in France in a couple weeks, which you’ll be joining them. She asked if you wanted to go with them to the states so you could visit your mother in San Francisco. You had to check with your boss, but it was likely you’d be going as well.
Rosie mutes your mic, “Are you almost done?”
“Not really,” She sighs against your body. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Rosie pouts, but she does something you were expecting. She slightly rolls her hips. It’s subtle, but it’s enough.
“Chaeng,” You deadpan, eyes still focused on the screen.
“What?” There it is. The tilt in her voice, that if it was anybody else, they’d fall for her feigned innocence.
But it wasn’t anybody else. It was you.
“Don’t,” Rosie rolls her hips against you again, this time, perfectly against your cock. “Chaeng.”
“I’m just trying to get comfortable, you’re not exactly ergonomic,” Rosie shrugs, rocking her hips against you once again.
Your cock stirs at the movement. You take a deep breath, refocusing yourself as your team continues the quest.
Tae asks you a question, forcing you to reach around Rosie to unmute yourself. “Yeah I’ll check that.”
When you mute once again, Rosie asks, “How quiet can you be?”
“What?” The question catches you off guard because Rosie’s standing up and unmutes you. She turns to smirk and drops to her knees in between your legs. Your eyes widen, shocked at her boldness. You’re about to say something when she holds a finger to her lips.
“Fuck,” You groan into the mic when Rosie slips her hand underneath your sweats, wrapping her hand around your half-hard cock.
“What happened?” You barely hear someone ask.
“Nothing,” You grit out, eyes watching Rosie push your sweats down just enough to free your cock. You let out a hiss as the cool air of your apartment hits your skin. “I’m good.”
She starts off slow, moving a loose fist up and down your length as the blood in your body rushes south. By the time you’re fully erect, she lets go, and you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding.
Rosie’s face lights up, and you know that look. It spells trouble with a capital T, and when she stands up in between your legs, pulling her (your) boxers down, you have a clear picture of what’s going to come next.
It was meant to be a joke when you mentioned it on FaceTime while they were touring in Australia. You had this fantasy of her keeping your cock warm while you gamed. She asked if you actually wanted that, knowing how much you took gaming with your friends seriously. You shrugged, off-handedly commenting that you thought it would be hot.
You didn’t go into much detail of how you envisioned it. It was just a fantasy, but when Rosie turns around, her shapely bottom waving in your face, this was so much better than what you imagined.
Rosie mutes you again, her face slightly turned to you, “Still want to play your game?”
It’s a challenge. A very dangerous one that you don’t know the outcome of, but you’d bet everything to find out. Even if that meant you have to fuck Rosie against your desk for being this needy.
“Yeah,” Your voice comes out hoarse, hardly recognizable in your ears.
“Fine.” One hand rests on your desk as the other reaches for your cock, angling it as she takes all of you in one smooth move.
“Jesus Chaeng,” You nearly drop your controller as one hand shoots to her hip, gripping tightly as her walls squeeze around your cock. It knocks the wind out of you, feeling just how wet and warm she is.
“Isn’t this what you wanted?” Rosie slightly pants, leaning on your desk as you feel her walls stretch to accommodate your size.
“I don’t know,” You pathetically moan out as she sits up straight against your chest.
“Keep playing,” Rosie unmutes you before slowly rocking her hips.
You don’t know how the fuck you were supposed to focus when she feels so fucking good wrapped around you, but you push through.
You tune in to what your friends are talking about, ignoring the small mewls Rosie lets out as her hips move in a circle on top of you. You try to be engaged, commenting here and there, but it’s hard to care what they’re saying.
You close your eyes, dropping your head against the chair when Rosie lifts her hips along your length before dropping her weight against you.
“Fuck,” You mutter, but it’s loud enough for your friends to hear. They ask if everything’s alright and you immediately snap back to the screen as Rosie repeats the movement again and again and again. “Yeah, I’m fine,” You grit out after she lands on a particularly hard thrust, walls tightening as she takes a breath.
You’d give yourself a pat on a back for how far you’ve made it. The amount of self-control you have when it comes to your girlfriend is usually very low. You don’t need much convincing when it comes to having sex, but you want to hold out as much as possible to see where it takes you.
It’s not everyday Rosie uses your cock to fuck herself. She has, but that’s usually on a bed or in your car, where she has your full, undivided attention.
Rosie brings your hands against her lower stomach, resting the controller against her as she undulates her hips. Any vibration from the game has her body reacting, which by default, you reap the benefits.
Rosie reaches forward, the mic turning off once again, “I’m going to cum,” She moans out.
You didn’t think she’d get there that fast, but it is hot to get fucked while your friends are oblivious to what’s going on. She loves performing for thousands of people at a time, but you know her favorite performances are for you and you alone.
“Go ahead baby,” You murmur, eyes watching where you’re connected, her hips hypnotizing you as they move. “Make yourself cum since you couldn’t wait for me.”
The words set her off as her body quivers, shaking on your lap as her orgasm hits. Her head snaps back and she holds onto the arm rests as she tries to shut her thighs at the pressure inside her body. The only obstacle is your hands and controller dropping, keeping her spread open as you feel a sudden wetness cover your sweats.
“Did you just squirt baby?” Your lips ghost over her skin, sweetly kissing her behind the ear.
“No,” Rosie mumbles weakly, resting her head on your shoulder as she catches her breath.
“No? Then why are my clothes soaked?” You thrust up from your chair, knocking the wind out of her as she lets out a filthy moan.
“You came,” She moans as you rock up again, enjoying the sensation.
You click your tongue, shaking your head as you decide you can’t hold back any longer. Keeping her on top of you, her walls snug and hot, you unmute for the last time, “Ayo, I gotta go.”
Rosie tries to stand, but your arms around her keep her still, filled.
“Dude what? We’re nowhere near done,” Jungkook whines and you roll your eyes.
“I realized I didn’t finish something. I can pass on the shield. I’ll log on again sometime this weekend,” You say curtly without giving them a chance to respond, quickly exiting the program before tossing your controller on the desk.
You stand, easily taking your girlfriend with you as you push her forward, folding her against your desk as she rests on her elbows, back perfectly arched, keeping your bodies connected.
“Baby,” Rosie whines, your cock still nestled deep inside her.
“Jesus fuck Chaeng,” You pull your hips back, looking at your cock covered in her slick. “You’re a fucking menace.”
You snap your hips forward, groaning as your cock fills her.
“How else was I supposed to get your attention?” Rosie moans, pushing her ass towards you to take you even deeper. “You chose a game over me.”
Your hands grip her waist, stopping any movement from her as you just breathe since both of you know what’s coming next. You lean forward, kissing her head, “Don’t act like that. You know you still have all of my attention.”
You draw your hips backwards, but before you thrust, Rosie speaks, “Then fuck me like I do.”
Never one to not obey Rosie, you do just that.
You thrust into her experimentally, getting your bearings before you completely lose it since it has been two weeks too long and the amount of dirty texts and pictures you’ve exchanged is never enough.
“Baby please,” Rosie begs, head slightly turning before nodding.
The control snaps and you’re thrusting wildly, her hips slamming against the desk, before she could react.
One of the best parts, aside from you care deeply for and can genuinely share your thoughts and feelings with, is that Rosie always welcomes being fucked hard. Sure you’ve had sex at a much tamer, slower pace, which is just as great, but it’s the best when it’s been a while and the only thing either of you could focus on is tearing each other apart together.
“Missed you so much,” Rosie whines, doing what she can to meet your thrusts. It isn’t much since you’re practically nailing her against the furniture.
“Missed you too baby,” You groan as her walls start to clamp down to keep you inside.
One hand lets go of her waist, raising it slightly before your palm makes contact with her ass cheek. She lets out a moan, pressing her face into her arms, slightly embarrassed by how her body reacts to the pain. You watch her skin slowly turn red, spurring you on even more.
You feel your peaks coming soon just based on how much easier it is. Her pussy’s slickness lets you slide in and out with ease, but there’s another thing that Rosie loves and it’s how vocal you can get.
Praise is all around her, but the praise she adores the most is when you tell her yourself.
Your hand grips her waist again before you let your thoughts fall freely from your mouth.
Fuck you feel so good baby.
Couldn’t wait for me huh? Needed my cock so badly.
You look so pretty, letting me fuck this pussy.
You were so hot taking me while I played.
Bounce on my cock next time, let my friends hear what a good little slut you are.
Rosie screams as her orgasm rips through her body taking you with her. Your hips stutter into her and your vision goes white as you hit your climax. You couldn’t pull out since she was doing everything to keep you in.
“Holy shit,” She moans out, back tensing as you feel her release over your cock, making a filthy mess as you paint her insides with your cum.
You immediately wrap your arms around her stomach, pulling her into your chest as you groan out the remainder of your orgasm.
It takes you a minute, but you collapse on your chair, the wheels slightly rolling backwards while Rosie falls flat on top of your desk.
The sight of your girlfriend, fucked out, panting, has you questioning why you didn’t give your attention in the first place. You feel a second wind coming as the smallest bit of cum dribbles out in between her lower lips.
“Can you go again?” You ask after a few minutes, staring as more of your cum falls out. You almost reach out to push it back in, but you spare her the overstimulation.
Rosie stands straight before turning to you. She bends to kiss you softly on the lips, sitting on your lap, and circling her arms around your neck.
“Quick nap?” Rosie offers, peppering kisses over your jawline, which of course, immediately gets you worked up.
“Fine,” You pout like a petulant child.
You swoop your arms underneath her body, making sure you have a strong grip before standing. You literally have BLACKPINK’s lead singer in your arms, and any physical damage to her would automatically fall on you.
Rosie giggles as she holds on, telling you not to drop her or the girls would come after you. You roll your eyes, knowing it’s an empty—sort of. The only member you’re actually scared of is Jisoo, while the other two are like the little sisters you never wanted.
Once you gently lay your girlfriend down, you reach for the bottoms she was wearing, tossing it to her. You change into a different pair of sweats, noticing how much of a mess was actually made before joining her back in bed.
“Hi,” You whisper, a small smile tugging at your lips as you stare at your girlfriend. You still couldn’t believe she chose you to date out of everyone else.
“Hi yourself,” Rosie smiles, burying her face into your chest. “I missed you.” It comes out soft, shy even, because feelings are still hard for her to put into words.
“I missed you too,” You bring your lips to her forehead.
There’s something else you want to tell her, something you’ve been holding in for a couple months at this point. You want to say it now, but when you hear light snores, you know it’s not the time.
You say it anyway, “I love you.”

the loud slam of the door jolts sana awake, nearly falling off the couch as she sat up. her heart sinks, thinking that someone had broken in—but when you emerge from the dark hallway, she sighs out of relief.
sana checks the clock, 1:30 am. "you're home late. again." she mumbles, standing up and keeping the blanket wrapped around herself as she stopped you from going up the stairs. you groan, just wanting to take your clothes off and sleep.
"are you drunk?"
"no."
sana doesn't believe you. she steps closer, leaning in to smell your breath. you ignore the way your heart skipped a beat at that. instead of smelling liquor, her nose scrunches at the scent of perfume. it wasn't yours, nor hers, nor from the girl you slept with two days ago.
somehow, that made her feel worse than if you had actually been drunk.
"who was it this time?" she asks, grabbing your wrist and dragging you to the kitchen. sana hates that you struggled to keep up with her. "doesn't matter, i've done better."
she cringes at your words. "you can't just say that." sana mumbles frustratedly, letting go of you to get you a glass of water. her blanket falls by your feet. "what? that i've done better? because i have! this girl was, like,—"
"no! that it doesn't matter!" she whisper–yells, not wanting to wake any nosy neighbors up. sana forces you to hold the glass of water before picking the blanket up off the ground. "you don't even know her name, do you?"
you bite your lip, desperately trying to remember who you were begging to earlier. "uh.."
"you're–so—" sana looks like she wants to kill you. understandably so, but you think she's just being weirdly overprotective. she sighs, shaking her head. "i'm going to bed." is all she mumbles before pushing past you.
you watch as she disappears into your apartment. shrugging, you lean against the doorway and drink your water.
"what's her problem?"
"i don't know! i have to snap her out of this or something. it's getting worse every night!" she was watching you from the corner of her eye. it wasn't like she didn't trust nayeon or the people she invited over, she just didn't trust what you'd do in a room full of strangers.
(a room full of nayeon's really attractive friends is how she'd describe it.)
momo puts a hand on sana's arm, her other hand taking her cup. she frowned, worried for her best friend as she grew antsy just talking about you.
"okay, first of all, that's enough drinking for you." momo mumbled, downing the rest of sana's drink despite the angry pout on her face. "second, you need to tell her that this shit's unhealthy."
"i've tried!"
"angrily taking care of her when she comes home isn't confronting her."
sana's pout gets deeper. she hadn't even said anything that would make momo think that... but she knew she couldn't argue with her. that did happen to be what she was doing after all.
"either way, she's either drunk out of her mind or smelling too much like someone else for me to even think of telling her to stop." sana sounds hopeless at this point, leaning against a wall and throwing her head back against it. "i don't think that second thing should stop you from confronting them...?" momo's eyebrows furrow, trying to make sense of what sana was saying.
she gasps, "unless—you're jealous?"
sana freezes, attention going to momo. "no? no! that's—i'm not like that—i care about them—" she stammers, trying to deflect what momo just said until her eyes land on you. you were across the room, rolling your eyes at something chaeyoung said.
she looks back at momo, then you, then momo. "maybe i am? that's not the main point, though! what she's doing is totally unhealthy!" sana spews out, her words almost faster than momo could comprehend. (she had years of experience in sana-speak, though. sana could make unintelligible noises and she'd still understand what she was saying.)
"calm down, sha. i'm not saying you're only doing this because you're jealous." momo reassures, but sana could tell she was biting back a laugh. "i'm just saying that it's bugging you more because you care so much about her as a friend and because you've had feelings for her since she moved in."
sana sighs. "you're right. sorry for getting defensive."
momo shrugs, giving her a reassuring smile. "don't apologize. i'll get us some more drinks."
sana watches as momo walks away, trying to shrink into the wall while she was alone. she liked meeting new people but not when she felt unease build up in her stomach.
she should just talk to you, she thinks. if she can hear that you're doing fine right now then her nerves will be completely gone for the rest of the—
"who is that?" sana asks, entire body tensing up when momo comes back with two cups in hand. momo looks to where sana was glaring at and winces.
you were talking to one of nayeon's friend's friend's friend. she was a bit all up in your face for someone you just met.
"chaewon i think was her name? she came here with sakura. sakura's mina's friend and—" momo purses her lips when sana storms her way over to you. she sighs, looking down at the cups she was holding. "more for me."
"i can't." you whine as chaewon wrapped her arms around your neck, bringing you even closer. she laughs, throwing her head back. you stare at her neck and lick your lips, wondering how good she'd look when you leave your mark on her. "my roomie's driving me home." you pout, "she doesn't like when i bring girls over."
"tell her you're going home with me, then." she shrugs, retracting an arm to take a sip of her drink. "kkura can catch a ride with someone else, she'll understand." chaewon's offer sounds way too good to turn down, especially when she props the cup against your lips for you to drink.
you accept, eyes locking with hers as you accept the alcohol happily. "how's that sound?"
"perf—"
"excuse me." someone interjects, using all of her strength to separate you and chaewon. you groan, about to shove the intruder away until you realize it was sana. that makes you groan again. "sorry, i have to take this one home." sana says, an arm wrapping around your waist as she stared chaewon down
your eyebrows furrow. "what? no you don't!" you hiss, trying to push sana away from you. she just tightens her grip around you. "i'm going with chaewon."
"no you're not." sana replies through gritted teeth. "sorry about her," she smiles, false sweetness all over her demeanor. "she's like this all the time. she's not what you're looking for."
sana practically drags you away from chaewon and out of the apartment. on your way out, she mouths a 'gotta go!' to nayeon, who takes one look at you and nods understandingly.
needless to say, you're pissed.
you were about to have the night of your life! the best sex you'd had in.. well, a few weeks, you think. your last handful of partners were nothing but time killers. ugh, that made it even worse. why was sana so mad about your sex life anyway?!
you were sulking the entire ride, arms crossed and refusing to even have her in your peripheral vision. sana notices and it drives her crazy.
she quickly pulls over, driving you equally crazy. the tension in that car was thick.
"what is with you?!" sana nearly shrieks, turning to face you. you gasp, finally looking at her. "what is with me? i'm not the one unnecessarily inserting myself in my roommate's sex life!"
"what the fuck are you talking about? i'm trying to protect you!"
"from what, sana? hot girls?"
sana let out a big exhale. you were being so frustrating—more so than usual. if it weren't for the seatbelts and the fact you both care about each other, you probably would've been at each other's throats by now.
"from doing whatever this is!" her words are accompanied by gesturing to you with both of her hands. you still didn't get it. "don't you realize how unhealthy this is?"
you blink, tilting your head in confusion. "unhealthy would be the last word i'd use to describe love, sana."
her eyes widen. "love—?" she leans back in her seat, exasperated. "you've gotta be fucking kidding." sana mumbles, her hands finding their way to the steering wheel. her knuckles go white at how tight she was holding on.
"what?" you were genuinely puzzled at her reaction. "aren't you like, the number one advocate for loving in your own way?"
"this is not love!" her eyes are back on you. you frown, she was genuinely intimidating now. "you are hurting yourself! you're letting these people take advantage of you... i don't know! you wanting to be held?"
you scoff, rolling your eyes and leaning back. "you don't get it. it's not my fault miyeon broke up with your sorry ass." the words leave your mouth before you could even process that you had the guts to think about sana like that. "wait, no—i'm sorry—"
"fuck off." sana mumbles, shifting the car back into drive.
you stay put the rest of the ride, feeling a pit grow deep inside your stomach.
sana wasn't home the next morning. you weren't sure if she had plans or work—she'd always tell you beforehand. it made you feel even worse, it took a miracle to get through breakfast without throwing up. the same went for the rest of the day.
by the time the sun set, you were shaking from nerves. you didn't want to face sana when she came home. you didn't want to keep thinking about her and what she said and what you said and what you've been doing.
instead, you get the brilliant idea to respond to your ex's text that you'd left on delivered for three hours.
y/n: pick me up in 10
do not reply: knew you'd come around ;)
you throw up in the toilet before you leave.
you don't even make it out of the parking lot of your apartment.
lisa's parked in the furthest corner, too dark for anyone to see inside and too far for anyone to hear how you were panting against her.
you were wedged between lisa and the back of the passenger seat. she pushed her thigh further against your throbbing pussy, biting your lip with a smile. "fuck, couldn't wait to see me, huh?" she hums as she watches you grind down on her thigh desperately.
"you've been thinking about me, haven't you? dressed up so slutty.. you wanted me to fuck you in here, no?" lisa's voice grows raspy as she toyed with the fishnets on your legs.
her words fall on deaf ears. your body was enjoying this, but your mind was far away from the woman sucking on your collarbone. you're not even sure why you chose this stupid bunny outfit sana bought you for april fools.
there it is again, you were thinking about sana. sana sana sana sana. no matter what you did, she was clouding your mind!
"turn around baby, i wanna see what set you're wearing for me." lisa whispers and you obey absentmindedly, still thinking about what sana said to you while she undid the ties holding your corset together.
then it hits you.
sana likes you.
she's jealous that you're sleeping with everyone but her!
you gasp, making lisa peek from behind you. "what's wrong, baby?"
you swat her hands away from your back, turning around. "oh my god. sana's in love with me."
"your roommate?"
you nod. lisa frowns, "what does that—"
"i'm so sorry, i have to go!" you mutter, clumsily opening the door and climbing out of it. lisa's calling after you, frustrated and confused to the max as you ran back to your apartment.
the slamming of the front door makes sana flinch, immediately muting the show she was watching. her head whips to you clumsily running into the living room, kicking your heels off as soon as you saw her.
sana's eyes widen and she's furious again—"what the hell are you wearing?" she stands up, but gets pushed down by you once you make it in front of her. she hates that you look good in that stupid outfit she bought and hates that she can tell your corset was halfway undone.
"doesn't matter—i get what you were trying to tell me yesterday."
"you do?"
sana looks hopeful as you sit next to her, that sweet smile you adored gracing her face.
"yes!" you grin. the way she was smiling at you made you feel like your heart was going to jump out of your chest. "and i'm really sorry for what i said yesterday, that was really shitty of me."
sana shakes her head, "it's okay. you were mad, so was i. i think i could've been nicer but—if it helped you realize it in the end, i guess it's all in the past."
you nod eagerly, barely able to contain your excitement as you lunge forward and kiss her. you sigh, it felt so good to love h—
sana pulls away, hand on your chest to keep you at a distance. "what the fuck?"
your heart sinks. "what? don't you—i thought you liked me?"
sana blinks, looking as shocked as she did yesterday. "of all the things i yelled at you about, that's what you got out of it?"
"isn't that what you were trying to tell me?"
"no, oh my god!"
sana was pacing in front of you now while you were sat and looking up at her like a dumb bunny. (you kind of were one, anyway.)
"i don't want to yell at you again, i'm going to bed."
you watch her leave, snapping out of a trance when she slams the door.
you look back to the tv to see what sana was watching.
the bachelorette, greaaaat. you roll your eyes and change the channel. seeing someone else's messy love life didn't really make you feel better about yours.
huffing, you take your bunny headband off and stare at it down on your lap. what was so hard for you to understand?
you were laying face down on nayeon's couch a week later. you'd been ignoring sana, feeling guilty every time you even thought of her. it didn't exactly help that she kept checking up on you anyway.
sana-ya 💜💜💜💜: u ok?
sana-ya 💜💜💜💜: i won't be home tonight, staying at momo's
sana-ya 💜💜💜💜: lmk if u need anything
"sana texted again." nayeon hums as she sees your phone light up beside her. you'd tossed it out of frustration onto the floor half an hour ago. nayeon was on the floor so she could comb through your hair with a comb she accidentally bought. it was one of those metal tooth ones meant to capture lice.
"you really need to talk to her, y/n."
"i knooooow!" you whine. nayeon was inspecting your hair really well, surprisingly. not that you actually had lice, she was just bored and you were miserable. at least it was relaxing?
"i don't know what to say, though! i've been a complete idiot! what if she hates me?"
"she's been sending you texts every day since you started leeching off me."
you groan. why must sana be the sweetest person ever?
"i'm not leeching off you."
"then go home tonight."
you groan again.
nayeon sits back, putting the comb away and letting you lift your head to face her. "if you're so convinced that she's either jealous or trying to control what you do, why do you care? it's not like you to be this affected by what anyone says."
you shrug, turning around to lay on your back. "i'm trying to figure that out. i'd say it's because she's my roommate but that never stopped me from going behind her back in the past."
"and it's not like i'd give a shit if anyone else told me to fuck off. or push me away if i tried to kiss them."
nayeon raises an eyebrow, "so sana's special?"
"i guess."
she grins. it was nothing she didn't know, she just wanted to hear it from you. "hope you know you've been in love with her for a while now."
you sit up, looking at her like she was crazy. "nayeon. when i say you're crazy i really mean it."
she shakes her head. "no! i'm being serious! think about it, why were you so eager to leave lisa when you thought sana liked you?"
you purse your lips, genuinely thinking about what nayeon was saying.
"and this entire thing of yours started when sana went on a trip abroad with momo! you didn't have access to the most affectionate person in your life for two weeks and you kept whining about how they kept posting each other like they were dating!"
nayeon gets up and sits beside you, rubbing your arm gently. "i didn't say anything at first because god knows you would've told me to fuck off."
"oh, and didn't one of the girls you hooked up with warn you about how bad this was too? what was her name... jihyo? and you wouldn't even listen to her."
"i think i get it, nayeon."
"shhh, no, let me have this. sana's the only person you ever listened to, or at the very least considered changing yourself for. love isn't whatever the hell you're doing to replace the lack of affection in your life—"
"ouch." you grumble, but nayeon just tells you to take it. you do, she was right anyway. "love is how you're acting about sana."
you cringe. "that was the cheesiest thing you could have ever said to me." you mumble as you hug her. "but you're right, i think. thank you."
you don't slam the door closed this time, not wanting to give sana a heart attack with how many times you'd done it before.
as you approach her, you take note of the fact she was watching the bachelorette again. maybe the fake messiness of it all was comforting to her.
"sana?" you whisper, taking a seat beside her. she blinks, surprised to see you home at all. apologies die down in your throat. she looked so gentle.
"i thought you were at momo's?"
"nayeon texted me saying that you might need someone to come home to."
you smile, unable to look her in the eyes anymore. "i'm sorry, sana. for everything. i've been really stupid for the past few months."
"more than stupid, but go on."
you chuckle lightly, your body feeling lighter after realizing she really didn't resent you. "i was too stubborn to listen to anyone about it. except you, evidently. you're... really special to me."
"and i'm sorry for kissing you the other night! god, i was really dumb and just jumped at the chance that you might love me too because i really didn't want to consider that you were right about me hurting myself." sana listened intently as you rambled out your apologies. you were really making sure that you apologized for anything and everything—so much had happened and you hated that sana got caught up in it.
"and i shouldn't have talked about your relationship with miyeon like that. i know how hard it was for you and i was just deflecting and being an ass. sorry."
your eyes meet hers again, sad and brimming with tears. you hold in your breath until she crawls over and hugs you tightly. you hug her back just as tight, crying into her cream colored sweater.
"thank you," sana whispers. "i'm glad you've finally come to your senses. i forgive you." you let out the biggest sigh of relief as she rubs your back comfortingly.
"and i think i'm in love with you."
"i know."
you're suddenly pulled into her lap. sana peels your body off of her so she could wipe your tears away and hold your face. "i.. i love you too, but let me think about it first? this whole situation was so..."
"messy?"
"that's not how i'd describe it, but i guess, yeah, it was messy."
you nod, "it's okay, i understand."
the bachelorette was still playing in the background, filling in the silence between you and sana.
"can i watch with you?"
sana nods, letting you snuggle up beside her. it takes a minute for the two of you to adjust, but as soon as you do, she's talking your ear off about what you need to know about the contestants.
you listen, paying more attention to her expressions than what she's saying.
it felt good to have this again.
it's been two months since you confessed your love to sana.
you never bugged her about it, but she remembered to tell you that she was still thinking about it every now and then. you didn't really mind, anyway, the two of you were back to being attached at the hip and that was more than enough for you.
"have you seen sana?"
you were back at nayeon's place, celebrating her girlfriend's birthday. nayeon looks around, lips pursed. "over there!" she yells because the two of you were standing right by the big speaker chaeyoung brought. "thanks!" you yell back before making your way across the room to sana.
you weave through the crowd, nearly tripping over yourself three times before you finally land in front of sana...
who was talking to someone else.
you try not to be jealous, but it was incredibly hard when the girl she was talking to was visibly falling for her!
you didn't want to look overly possessive, especially because the two of you weren't officially dating. you start walking away, but sana catches you in the corner of her eye.
"y/n!" she calls out, her voice as bubbly as ever. you freeze for a moment but turn back to her and walk over with a tight smile. "hi, sana. hi.." you turn to the girl she was talking to, observing her.
"soyeon."
you give her a polite smile before turning back to your roommate. "did you need anything?" she asks, noticing that you've been trying to talk to her the entire time you've been here. "no... just... wanted to see you...?"
they both stare at you for a bit, soyeon extremely confused while sana blushes and giggles. you want the ground to swallow you whole—what kind of an excuse was that?!
"you're adorable, you know?"
you laugh awkwardly and decide to walk away after that. you didn't know how to act knowing other people were interested in your sana.
unluckily for you, she was being talked to all night long. one person after the other, always being stopped when you could see she was trying to make her way to you.
it pissed you off.
you weren't sure what else to do, though, so you just sat on nayeon's couch and sulked for the rest of the night.
sana was humming along to the song playing in the car, making sure to take the long route back home.
"can't last a night without being my center of attention, huh?" she teases, looking over to you while stopped at a red light. you blush, thankful for the red light. (sana's smile made you realize she knew you were blushing anyway.)
"you make me sound terrible." you huff, lips forming a pout. sana chuckles, "i think it's cute."
"wanna go out tomorrow?" she asks, humming as her eyes focus back to the road. you turn to look at her, partly confused and partly because you just wanted to stare at her pretty face. "are you asking me out?"
"duh."
"but i thought you needed time to think about it...?"
"if you don't want to go out with me, i have soyeon's number, just so you know."
you whine, hitting her arm lightly. "kidding, kidding." she laughs. "it's been two months, n/n. i'm sure i've had a thought since then."
you roll your eyes, you hated how much she loved to mess with you sometimes. "yeah, whatever. i expect to be pampered and be the center of your attention tomorrow." you tease, relaxing back into your seat.
"of course, your majesty."
she stops at another red light, quickly leaning over to kiss you. "only if you do the same for me on the next date, deal?"
you stare at her, completely flustered while she tucks your hair behind your ear. she's so irritating, you love her so bad.
you kiss her again, "deal."

STALKING IS ILLEGAL KID! | LUKE HUGHES
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: f!reader x luke hughes
overview: week 1: luke tries to get y/n to agree to go on a date with him (as if she doesn’t know who he is and the reputation he and the team holds throughout umich) despite her suspicions against the whole scenario.

she felt weird.
everywhere she went, there was always someone (or more) watching. y/n didn’t know why, she just simply chose to ignore it.
so as she made her way out of the library , she couldn’t help but notice a group of guys looking at her from a table in the corner. they turned their heads away as soon as she looked at them. she’s seen their faces around campus. she knew who they were. so why did she ignore them? simple. y/n knew better than to get involved with umich hockey team.
jess had told her about the people she should and shouldn’t be near. one of them including the whole team. it wasn’t anything bad but it was more of a “unless-you-want-to-deal-with-those-idiots-and-their-ways-i-suggest-you-stay-away” type of talk.
y/n couldn’t help but feel annoyed and roll her eyes. this has been going on for the past few days. one of them was always staring her down as she walked by. she was sick of it.
she stood there for a minute thinking of her next decision and if it would be wise and careful. “i’m sick of this shit so fuck it.” she whispered to herself.
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
the four boys didn’t notice she had caught them. they were too engrossed in their own conversation (revolving around her obviously) to even look up. they had been coming up for a way for luke to ask her out or somewhat get to know her.
for the past 5 days, ever since the party, that’s all they’ve been doing. planning. scheming. plotting. whatever you wanna call it, it’s all they’ve doing.
“what if you like accidentally bump into her.” dylan suggested with a shrug. “it’s cliche but it could work.”
luke just shook his head. “no way is that happening.” he sighed. “this is pointless. we’ve ran out of ideas. i mean it’s already bad enough i agreed to doing this shit but-”
he got interrupted.
“can i help you?”
they four looked up to find the girl staring down at them.
“i’m sorry?” mark questioned.
“well considering the fact that you’ve been staring at me for a while now, you tell me.” she remarked.
luke cringed and closed his eyes as he realized they had all been caught. they didn’t mean to stare, really they hadn’t, but they did. maybe it was curiosity that got the best of them.
“oh we weren’t-”
she just laughed. “you weren’t what? looking? you know i’m starting to think you all have a problem with me or something.”
everyone somehow turned to look at luke for a second. he just gave them a look in return as to say ‘what?’.
“jess was right. you guys are weird.”
that had confirmed their assumptions. she was jess’s new roommate.
mackie asked, “you know jess?”
she nodded. “she’s my roommate. who has told me what i need to know.”
luke perked up at that statement. “what exactly has she told you?”
“wouldn’t you like to know?” dylan leaned over and said in a low voice so only luke could hear.
luke elbowed him in the rib. “shut the hell up.” he responsed in a whisper before turning back towards the girl.
“not much. just how you’re all self centered dickheads who think way too highly of themselves and need an ego check. you know, the small things.”
fucking jess.
mark turned to her. “do you believe her?”
“i’m starting too.” she said. she was about to turn around before pausing and looking back at them. “don’t let me catch you staring again. it’s creepy.” with that, she turned and walked off towards the entrance.
“bro, go talk to her.” mackie suggested as he gestured to the girl who was walking away.
luke quickly got up and began to jog over in order to catch up to her. he began to slow down as he was right behind her. “hey.”
she paused. “what do you want now?” she turned around and crossed her arms.
“i just wanted to um-i wanted to ask if-can i have your number?” luke got out.
y/n furrowed her eyebrows at the question. “yeah no. especially after what just happened back there.” she took a step. “and i don’t even know your name.”
you idiot. who asks for a girls number without giving them your name first?? she already thinks you’re weird.
is what luke thought to himself as he squeezed his eyes shut.
“it’s luke.”
“maybe next time, luke.”
and with that, she walked away.
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
it was a thursday morning and y/n was out, shopping at a strip mall. she and jess had decided to look for new clothes for the spring that was to come in two months.
“hey jess, how about this?” y/n said as she held up a navy blue halter top that had a lace trim to her body.
she turned around to hoping to find jess.
she didn’t.
rather she were met with luke’s tall, lanky, figure.
“i think it looks great.” he responded, a hand in his pocket while the other was pointing to the top. “although i’m sure i’m not the person you were hoping to ask.”
“nooooo, really?” y/n said, sarcasm obviously laced in her voice.
luke smiled and nodded his head.
“where is jess?” she asked as she started to look around, hoping to get out of this situation.
“i don’t know. she saw me and waved and wondered off.” he shrugged.
“thanks, that was very helpful.”
“i know right. i’m such great help.”
“asshole.” she whispered to herself.
“what was that? i couldn’t quite hear you.” luke questioned as he leaned down to her height and put a hand behind his ear, signifying he was listening. she didn’t know why but she somehow found that attractive.
“nothing.” she quickly replied. luke had a smug look on his face. “move, i’m going to find jess.” she muttered as she pushed past luke and began to walk to a different aisle she thought (hoped) jess would be in.
luke stood there, dumbfounded, before he turned around and began to walk with her. “you know we should hang out. grab dinner, talk, get to know each other..” he trailed off and y/n just scoffed and turned around.
“why are you talking to me?” the girl suddenly inquired.
luke was taken aback.
“what?”
“why are you talking me?” she repeated. “i mean i don’t even know you, apart from the fact that your name is luke and you play for the school’s hockey team, but other than that, i don’t, i’m literally talking to a stranger right now.”
luke half smiled. “since when is talking to a pretty girl like yourself, illegal?”
she shouldn’t have blushed at that comment but she did any way. luke seemed to have noticed as he let out a small chuckle.
“that still didn’t answer my question.” she quipped back.
“well, i want to get to know you. i saw you one day and couldn’t help but think, ‘god, she’s beautiful’ so why not talk to you?”
y/n rolled her eyes. “you’re a weird dude, you know that?” he smiled sheepishly.
“i’m gonna go find jess.” she said. “hopefully the next time i see you, it’s when we’re out of college.” she told him as she walked away, a small sway in her hips.
luke stood there, a smile on his face before he turned around to exit the store.
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
the next day, y/n was at work at a local diner across the street from campus. she had an afternoon shift from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm. pop had asked her if she could close the diner which she had agreed to. so here she stood, bent over slightly, as she wiped down the booth table at the end of the aisle of booths.
the lyrics to an old song from the 70’s came form the jukebox on the opposite end of the diner and had reached their way to her ears. she had began to sing the lyrics quietly to herself.
there was only a couple, a regular who was a sweet old man named tom, and her co-worker, pop (also known as the owner of the diner) left. he was 52 years old and was still running the place. in y/n’s eyes, he’s a second father to her. he always took care of her and had great advice.
she suddenly heard the bell above the door ring, signaling someone had walked in. although closing time wasn’t until 10:00, she had decided to start getting the place ready for close up time by wiping the countertops and tables.
“sorry, we’re closed.” she announced to whoever had walked in, not even bothering to look up y the table.
“doesn’t seem like it to me.” an, oh, so familiar voice said.
y/n paused her movements as she looked up from where she was busy cleaning, to find the infamous luke hughes, standing at the entrance.
y/n put the rag over her shoulder and walked towards the counter, getting behind it to take luke’s order. “stalking is illegal ya know?” she stated. “no matter where i am, you’re always right behind me.”
luke just rolled his eyes and scoffed as he took a seat on the barstool closest to her. “i’m not stalking you.”
“then how’d you figure out where i work?” she responded as she closed the cashier.
“don’t worry about it.” he waved off.
y/n squinted at him. “you asked jess, didn’t you?”
“no.”
she gave him a raised eyebrow.
“maybe.”
y/n groaned and just grabbed her notepad she used to take orders. “well you’re here now, might as well take your order. what can i get for you?” she asked as she put on a fake smile.
“i’ll take two vanilla milkshakes, please.” luke said and she wrote his order down.
y/n looked up from notepad. “is that all?” she asked the boy. he nodded his head and y/n ripped the paper out. “i’ll be back with your shakes.”
she walked over towards the small window that looked into the kitchen. “order in pop!” she exclaimed as she slid the paper over to the man who took it and began to look at it.
“two vanilla milkshakes? for that lonely fella?” pop questioned as he looked over to luke who was looking around. “is he your boyfriend or somethin’?”
“i barely know the kid. we’ve only talked twice.” y/n said as she held up two fingers.
pop just shook his head and smiled. “he seems like a good kid.”
“i guess. you know he asked me out the other day?” pop raised his eyebrows in amusement. she laughed. “i don’t know. he just did.”
“and you said no?”
“well yeah. what am i supposed to say? you can’t know someone for two days and ask them out. that’s weird.” y/n stated. “and not very proper.”
“he probably likes you.” pop suggested.
“la la la la la la! no! don’t go there!” she told him as she pointed a finger at him. “no.”
he just laughed before he backed up slightly. “i’ll be back with your order.” he said. “for now..go talk to him.” y/n just shook her head.
she walked back to the counter and got to work. tom had paid already, but he had decided to stay for a little longer. she looked over and noticed he had begun to grab the newspaper and his bag. he got up and walked towards the counter. “i’ll see you tomorrow tom?”
“sadly, no. charlotte’s coming down from wisconsin for her birthday.” he replied back with a smile on his face at the mention of his granddaughter.
“oh tell her i said happy birthday.”
“i will. goodbye, y/n.” he waved towards the girl.
“bye tom!” y/n waved back as he left the building, the bell ringing.
she went back to the cashier as the couple came up to pay for their food. she handed them their cash before waving goodbye as they also exited, the bell ringing once again.
“so i was thinking,” luke started.
“i forgot you were still here.”
luke just shushed her. “as i was saying, i was thinking of heading to the beach tomorrow.” luke continued. “and i was wondering if you wanted to come with me? that way we can get to know each other.”
“luke seriously, what is it with you and trying to get me to go somewhere with you?” y/n stated.
“what? you don’t trust me?” luke asked.
“it’s not that i don’t trust you, which i don’t, it’s just that we’ve only known each other for two days and you already want to take me out when i don’t even know you.”
“well then this is your chance to get to know me better.” luke explained.
“you won’t give up till i say yes, will you?”
“mhm.”
“no.” she bluntly answered.
“oh, come on y/n! let me get to know you. learn more about you. you seem like a nice person. it’s obvious from the way you are with strangers and customers.” he whined.
“it’s called having manners.”
“please? just one time.”
“if i say yes to going, will you leave me alone?”
luke perked up at the question. “yes! i promise! you just say yes and i’ll leave you alone afterwards if you want me to.”
“promise?”
“promise. i’ll even lock pinkys with you.” he replied.
“okay.” y/n said.
“okay? as in you’ll go with me tomorrow?” he repeated.
she nodded. “okay, as in i’ll go with you tomorrow as long as you leave me alone later.”
a big smile appeared on luke’s face. “thank you! you’re the best.” he exclaimed before he got up and took his wallet out. he pulled out a twenty before placing it on the counter.
she grabbed it and held it up. “what the hell?”
“for the milkshakes.” he explained.
“oh.”
“okay i’ll uh, i’ll see you tomorrow.” he rushed out before he turned around and began to walk towards the door before he suddenly paused and turned around. “i need your number.”
“oh.” y/n muttered. “um, give me your phone.” she said as she stuck out her hand. he fished his phone out of his pocket before unlocking it and handing it to her. she opened his contacts and added a new contact before typing her number in. “here. text me which one, and at what time.”
“ok i will. bye!” he rushed out. “oh and by the way, you look cute in your uniform.” he told her before turning around and leaving the diner, a slight breeze making its way in.
y/n felt her face get hot and she couldn’t help but smile before it quickly disappeared, reminding herself to not get excited over a boy.
“order is served.” pop said as he placed two milkshakes on the windowsill.
“sorry pop, he just left. but at least he payed his debts.” y/n stated as she held up the twenty dollar bill before placing it back on the countertop.
pop just smiled. “free milkshake?” he said as he held on up towards her.
a smile crept up onto her face. “duh. let me just lock the door.”

Dad!Bakugo x F!Babysitter!Teacher!Reader

Days have passed and you're finally discharged from the hospital. You were happy of course, especially when you remembered what Katsuki offered you.
"What I'm trying to say. No one will take care of Kazui. I can't always rely on my parents. My friends are heroes as well. Since you mentioned you used to be a babysitter. I would like to hire you."
You looked at him surprised once again. Are you in heaven? Are sure you're still alive?
“M-me?” Y/n stutters placing a shaking hand on her chest.
“The fuck am I talking to.” Katsuki rolled his eyes. Are you really even a teacher? “I don't need to repeat myself. If you fucking reject it, it's fine.”
“N-no! I was just surprised!” Y/n immediately shut Katsuki. “I-i was just surprised, honestly.” Finally, Y/n smiled. “I didn't expect you to say that. It makes my heart melt. I’m happy.”
After that day, Katsuki dropped you off at your apartment. He’s been stopping by to visit you at the hospital after his shift which you don't mind. But you often think you were bothering him which he says you're not.
Now here you are getting ready to leave your apartment to babysit Kazui.
Y/n grabbed her keys from the counter and left, securing the door behind her. Better safe than sorry is what they say.
It's a good day for her. Of course, you were trying to ignore the new insecurities. You kept reminding yourself that the scars you got were a sign of your boldness.
Yes yes.
A soft smile appeared on your lips. Bravery isn't something you should be insecure about. You were even glad you protected Kazui. Not an ounce of regret you were feeling. So you took a step towards your destination only to realize Katsuki didn't give you their address.
Great.
Y/n mentally smack herself. How could she forget to ask for the address? So much for being confident.
Y/n grabs her phone from her bag deciding to call Katsuki. Boy, she was glad she had his number due to school purposes. While standing a few meters away from her apartment, she clicked the call button and placed her phone in her ear waiting.
..
It just so happens that it's Katsuki's day off.
Due to exhaustion, Katsuki overslept which we all know is pretty rare. So, when he realized this, he panicked and rapidly stumbled out of his bed reaching for his phone. But as soon as he saw what day it was. He relaxed while on the carpeted floor.
Katsuki still decided to get up though. Slowly, he got off the floor and stretched, snapping a few bones, and stepped out of his bedroom, not even bothering to pick up his thick shroud nor fix his bed.
“Kazui? Are you awake?” Katsuki shouted as he made his way to his son’s bedroom.
He quietly flares the door open only to see a sleeping Kazui, snuggling comfortably on his bed. The sight made Katsuki smile. He was glad Kazui was okay. His treasure. Even though sometimes Kazui can be a brat, he loves him more than he even loves himself. More than he loves his job. His barefoot quietly made contact with the floor as he walked closer to Kazui. Carefully, he bent down kissing Kazui's forehead making him squirm but went back to sleep.
After this, Katsuki left Kazui’s bedroom and made his way to his kitchen. Now that he’s fully awake, he needs breakfast. He was scratching his head as he strides down the stairs, yawning a bit. Once he reached the kitchen, he placed his phone on the countertop and reached for the refrigerator handle only to get interrupted by his phone ringing.
It’s too fucking early for a phone call, unless it’s his company finally realizing they needed his guidance on some work issue. Probably? Who would even call this early anyway. Groaning, he reached for his phone and took a closer look to check who was the caller. Almost instantly, he picked it up.
“Good morning, Bakugo-san.”
God. Hearing your voice early in the morning sends a shiver down his spines. Not that kind of shiver you perverts.
“The hell I said about formalities, hah?” Katsuki said ignoring that his voice is still raspy.
“O-oh! I’m sorry. I forgot, haha.”
Fuck, was he in heaven right now? Unconsciously, Katsuki lips turned into a small smile. “The hell do you want this early.”
“W-well.” Why the hell are you even stuttering? Hell you can even defeat Izuku stuttering, “I kinda forgot to ask for your address..”
Oh yeah, now that you mentioned it, you’ll babysit Kazui today. “I’ll message it to you.” Katsuki simply said.
“Thank you, Bakugo!”
He can hear the happiness in your voice. Weird.
“Can’t pick you up. No one will watch over Kazui.” Katsuki mumbled finally reaching for the refrigerator handle and pulling it open to check the contents inside.
“You don’t have to! I can get there on my own!”
“I’ll be waiting then.”
“See you!”
When the call ended, Katsuki was staring blanky in the fridge. Why the fuck he said he’ll be waiting? He groaned out loud this time. Why the hell is he sounding desperate? Is he desperate? Oh, hell nah.
..
Eijiro was glad he was off duty as well. That means he can visit Kazui and spend time with him. But his main priority right now is to find the location an intel told him.
Location where Katsuki’s ex-wife is.
Just thinking about this made his blood boil. Of course, he’ll never hurt a woman. It wouldn’t be very manly of him. But this one made him want to be unmanly.
Fists inside his pocket, he reached the said location. Eijiro was standing in front of a huge house, face staring blankly at it.
It’s now or never.
Eijiro gradually made his way to the front door. He took a deep breath and rang the doorbell. Few seconds only passed when the door opened. His eyes hardened when he laid his eyes on her.
“I’ll join you in a minute babe!” She was giggling. But stopped when she saw who it was.
“K-kirishima.”
Eijiro didn’t say anything. He was staring at her intently.
“H-how did you-
“I came here to give you this.” His voice was low, so very not like his usual tone handing her a bunch of documents.
“What’s this?” she asked curiously as she raised a shaking hand and reached for the documents from his grasp.
“Discover it yourself.” Eijiro glared.
Gulping. She shakingly flipped the folder open in her hands and read its content.
A divorce paper with Katsuki’s name in it but without his signature, whilst the next paper was a warrant of arrest for abandoning Katsuki and Kazui.
“Ms. *, you are under arrest for abandoning your child.”
A sudden sound of a police automobile was heard making her panic.
“N-no.” She plead. “No! Please!!”
“The court will deal with you.” Eijiro left the scene as soon as the police arrived and dealt with her.
It was wrong that Katsuki didn’t know about this, but he’ll do anything for his buddy and his nephew.
“You’re free, Katsuki.” Eijiro mumled as he disappeared from the scene.
..
Meanwhile, while cooking breakfast, Katsuki suddenly felt a huge weight disappear from his chest.

Leo and Mikey think they’re Yōkai (I still have no idea if Big Mama was lying to the boys about not knowing what mutants were?? She pretended not to know Draxum as well but then that was a lie. Idk we’ll just assume that she assumes Mikey is a yōkai, or keeps it to herself if Draxum ever tries and fails to talk her into giving Mikey back to him). Raph and Donnie know they’re mutants. But once everyone reunites they get told some way or another. Leo’s talk with Splinter about this will actually be pretty important!
Tumblr media
I’m not so cruel that I’d make them hate each other forever, I promise. They have one of my fav dynamics in the show. So Donnie will eventually start to warm up to April before Three does at least.
Tumblr media
Draxum at least gave Three a few years of milder testing when he was very young. He only had to endure punishments for if he ever acted up (which for Draxum sometimes that was just speaking too much). So he was probably mentally sound for the most part until about 8 and then the real depraved stuff got brought out. He just got steadily worse until at 13 Draxum declared him unsalvageable and starting ignoring him unless necessary. All around Three is never really serious about anything for longer than a few moments.
Tumblr media
Timeline for episodes has changed a bit to kinda move around the really goofy crazy episodes to later, but also the whole Shredder arc will be different because of him already being present. The more ideas I get the more I’m changing things around! ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes Mikey is first up! And I’m so excited for the next few pages coming up. I thought they’d give me more trouble because of the heavier action but somehow they’re looking exactly how I want them to. Why is it so much harder drawing characters just reacting to stuff?? Makes no sense.
Tumblr media
I’m not actively taking requests right now but maybe in Donnie’s rescue chapter I can try to fit it in!

Fire and Water pt.2
Pairing- Ronal x reader
Summary- After a few weeks of living with the Metekayina your atraction to the Tsahik only grows.
Pt.1 Pt.2 Pt.3
Oare- moon
Tumblr media
It has been a few weeks since you've awoken and the Clan has welcomed you with open arms, to your suprise they were nothing like your grandfather said. Each day that went by you felt more and more connected with everyone especially Ronal. You had taught them about your clan, Tuk a child from the forest asked you all sorts of questions. ''Fire gives you light and warmth but it can also destroy leaving nothing but ash and smoke and that, that is beauty.'' You would tell them. And when they learned about your dragon, Serci it was a whole lot more questions.
But you wanted to learn more about the way of water and Ronal said she would teach you and that she did. She taught you how to 'breath' as the warriors taught you how to fight the Metkayina way. And due to limited housing Ronal allowed you to say with her and her children, which you didn't hate. What confused you though was your attraction to her, everytime she got close you got this feeling in your chest and stomach. The more she taught you the more your attraction grew and you couldn't deny it anymore you loved her, but did she love you?
Now it was the end of a long day, you had been training with them all day, not to mention how long Ronal made you stay in her pod to check your wounds that were healed all the way, sometimes you thought it was an excuse for her to touch you but you ignored those thoughts. You watched as everyone retired to there pods and but you sat on the sand and thoughts of Ronal filled your head the way her touch lingered on your skin made it burn like the heat of one thousand fires, her I see blue eyes that would watch as you swam with her, the way she would talk her sultry voice that sounded like the voice of a goddess and then her mouth how you wished you could reach out and kiss her just one kiss and your life would be complete.
Pulled from your thoughts was a voice, Tsireya one of Ronals children. Back to reality you cringed at your earlier thoughts of the girls mother and smiled at the girl. ''Mother wanted me to find you said if you do not come that you'll have to sleep on the beach.'' She said making her giggle at her mothers remarks. You smile getting up and walking to the mauri it was quiet as you walked. ''Y/N if you don't mind me asking what are these orange and red markings on you?'' Tsireya asked looking at your arms as she broke the silence. ''Oh these," you said, "every young Texpram gets them that is how you become a true member of our clan.'' You explained to her as you walked into the pod.
''Took you long enough be late again and you will sleep on the beach.'' Ronal threatened quietly as she put the baby down in a bassinet you made. ''Of course.'' You say and you swore you saw a smile tugging at her lips. ''Okay well it is good you are safe, and before you go to bed change the bandages unless you want it to get infected.'' She said, sometimes she sounds hostile but in a loving way. In agreement you shake your head and go to your side of the Mauri and change it. She watches you as your hand snakes over your thigh, laying healing ointment over it. She watches as you lie down and she feels something, something she hasn't felt in a long time. Love for someone other than her children, if she was being honest with herself she did have certain feelings for you, the way you could joke about everything did get on her nerves a little bit, but the way you were so graceful even when fighting, the way your hair fell when you jumped into the water, and the way you were so gentle with everyone and thing it made her confused the feelings she had were confusing.
You were out like a light, but your voice was not. Ronal and her children were awake talking trying not to wake you or the baby up. But then your voice caught them off gaurd. ''R-ronal I love her.'' you whispered and her eyes widen and a giggle from Tsireya was heard, ''and her kids are amazing.'' you whispered before some random collect of words come from you. Ao'nung laughs, ''Seems like you have an admirer mother.'' He jokes before getting hit in the back of the head.
Ronal did not speak of it as she headed off to bed, did you really love her, or was her mind playing tricks.
Over the next couple of day Ronal began train you saying the warriors wern't pushing you hard enough. And she went hard and you couldn't figure out why. Now she was fighting you with a spear knocking it out of your hand once more. ''Sit you need a break.'' Ronal says and you smile sheepishly. ''Hey Ronal is everything okay, you seem more aggresive than usual.'' You ask she inhales sharply before exhaling. ''You talk to much in your sleep.'' She stated blankly.
Your face grows a shade darker in embarresment. ''I-Im sorry.'' You apologize earning a nod from Ronal. ''Um, can I ask what I said that made you so mad?'' You ask you saw Ronal she was hesatint. ''You said you loved me and my children.'' She said clearing her throat after a small shade of pink on her teal skin but her face stayed unemotional. Your face grew even darker as the words left her mouth and entered your ears. ''Oh sorry.'' You say a chuckle leaving your mouth afterward. And before she could say anything a war call was yelled.
Ears percking you got up grabbing a spear as well as Ronal. Running to the war group they looked at you, ''Y/N we need you it is the Texpram they are trying to attack up.'' A young man explained. Your ears go down and look at Ronal and exhale biting your lip. ''Get me and ilu and get yourself some too I will speak to them and if they do not listen to me then we shall have to fight and Ronal stay.'' You say making Ronal confused and they agree running to get the ilus ready.
Turning to Ronal you swallowed the spit in your mouth. ''Ronal if I do not make it back,'' you began and it felt as if a vein popped in her heart and it was going to shatter. ''I want you to know that I love you, the way you speak, the way you walk, the way you do not know how to show your feelings through words, everything about you I love. And it does not matter if you do not love me because you are the moon that lights my darkest nights, you are the fire that warms me when I think of you nothing can hurt me you are the reason I live and if it comes to it the reason I will die.'' You confess to her and I single tear falls to her face. ''Y/N hurry.'' A man yells. ''Goodbye my Oare.'' You say before jumping onto the ilu and going farther into the ocean, farther into battle.

"Hm, I am torn. Why don't you choose one for me? I'm afraid I have a terrible habit of being indecisive," Loki peruses the tray of chocolate.
"Oh, I guess… um," you glance over the truffles and point to the one with golden icing, "this one."
He smiles and picks out the chocolate.
"Make sure to have one too, that strawberry delight looks rather tasty."
"I will," you glance over as Thor arranges logs in the fireplace. You approach him and hold out the box, "here."
"Oh, I get one too?" He dusts off his hands as he shifts on his knees.
"Of course," you deflate, "unless….you don't want one?"
He considers you and his face creases, "thank you, kitten, I will have one."
He plucks up a white chocolate bulb and pops it in his mouth. You retreat as you try to decide on one of your own. You choose the one with pink beads all over it.
You close the box and set it down. You cup your hand under your mouth to catch the mess as you bite in. You sit on the couch and wait, unsure what to do next. Loki surprises you as he takes the cushion beside you and swallows.
"I think I'd like to stay for dinner after all."
Thor huffs, the heavy breath makes you uneasy. He finishes placing the wood and strikes up the kindling. He braces his knees and stands with a groan.
"Is that okay?" You ask, realising you May have overstepped.
"He's my brother," Thor says dully.
"Always a loving sibling," Loki remarks and you take another nibble of the chocolate.
“I do have work to finish,” Thor utters dully, “are you alright entertaining our guest?”
“Um…” you furrow your brow.
“I can amuse myself quite well,” Loki sits back and checks his watch, “dear, please, enjoy all your new things. Brother, go on and… work.”
“Er, well, I suppose I should put all this away,” you stand up and sidle along the front of the couch, “then I’ll start on the tacos.”
“Take your time,” Loki says smoothly as he pulls out his phone, “I am in no hurry.”
“Do you need help with that, kitten?” Thor asks as you lift the bag. It is heavy but you manage.
“No, I think I’m okay,” you face him again, “I don’t want to get in the way.”
“You know I don’t mind,” his face softens, “so if you do need anything…”
“Oh, Thor,” Loki slithers, “she is an adult, I believe she can handle it herself.”
“I know she can,” Thor retorts, “I was being nice.”
“Mmm,” Loki hums and you slowly move towards the door.
“Thanks, both of you,” you murmur.
You flit out, the cool air of the entryway easing the heat that nips at your nape. You hear Thor grumble into a growl but can’t make out his words as you quickly cross to the stairs. You glance back as Loki tilts his head up and smirks in his brother’s direction.
You never had any siblings, not even friends. It’s likely normal, you just wouldn’t know any better.
🌻
You sit down at the table, the fruit of your labour plated and ready. Thor and Loki sit across from each other as you take the chair at the end of the table. It’s deathly silent as you focus on your plate and try to ignore the tension.
“Oh, my pills,” you stop yourself from folding your taco over.
“Yes, uh… let me get those,” Thor stands abruptly.
Loki watches him pointedly, a strain in his cheek. As the blond leaves the room, the darker haired man looks at you, “we did talk about your dosage and I felt it best to reduce you to a single pill to allow for proper adjustment.”
“Oh, okay.”
“It will make you less tired. I think maybe in your journal, you should track any side effects you notice.”
“I’ll try,” you run your fingers along the edge of your plate.
Thor returns and sits down, the pill bottle in hand. He pops off the lid and picks out one tablet. He places it down without a word as he replaces the cap and slides it around the other side of his plate.
“We were just discussing her treatment plan going forward,” Loki takes the sour cream and added a dollop to a taco as he spoke, “she understands now.”
Thor’s lips slant, “that’s good. I hope the change is for the better.”
“Yes,” Loki puts the container back and grabs the salsa, “I think it should. Forgive me but I should’ve accounted that you have no historical prescriptions that I know of.”
“Uh, yeah, um, no,” you mumble as Thor rolls a taco up.
You’ve never been good at reading people but Thor seems irritated. You don’t know why but you suspect you’ve done something wrong. You gather up a taco and occupy yourself with an overly large bite.
"So… how long can we expect your guest to stay?" Loki grins, "I could provide some resources for her support. There are many programs–"
"As long as she needs," Thor growls through a full mouth before gulping it down tightly, "I told her she can stay. She doesn't need some shelter."
"Yes, but she is an adult. Once she is a bit more set in her recovery, it may be worth it to consider at least some activities outside the home. A job, even part-time. I could help with that as well."
"No, you don't need to. You won't," Thor insists curtly, "I am taking care of her just fine."
You stare at your plate, the food tasteless in your mouth. Inviting Loki was a mistake but you were just trying to be polite.
"One thing at a time, I suppose," Loki says, "but ultimately it is up to her."
Thor snarls and chews angrily. You cringe and wiggle your nose. Loki contents himself with delicate bites in the silence. You drop a cluster of beef onto the plate and further chide yourself for choosing such a messy dish.
"We will see," Thor wipes his fingers and takes a drink, "even for a doctor you are overly concerned."
"One could say the same of you. Taking in a stray from a woman you knew for how long exactly?"
You nearly choke and force down a gulp. Thor grimaces and rolls his eyes, clunking down his glass.
"Was I supposed to watch her be abused?"
"Oh, a saviour, you are so honourable–"
There rising tones makes your chest thrum.
"He… he helped me," you eke out, "that's all."
"Surely he did, dear, but he should be as concerned with making sure you have something beyond this. He can only help you so far–"
"Shut up and eat your food," Thor sneers, "she has enough to worry about. Some bridges don't need to be crossed right now."
Loki laughs, unfazed even as you gape at Thor outburst. His anger brings you back to the night he took you away from your mother. It was the only time you'd ever seen him like that.
"Please," you cover your ears, "I don't like fighting."
"We are not fighting, darling," Loki says coolly, "we are merely conversing, yes brother?"
Thor’s jaw ticks and he nods slowly, "just talking, kitten."

Hi Jen, thanks for all you do. Just wondering if you can speak to something I'm experiencing with my wife. I'm in my 30s and in a very loving, communicative marriage but one thing that always bugs me is how often she's on her phone and endlessly scrolling. We are in the midst of family planning and I speak often about who I want to be for our kid: someone who tries to be present, someone who spends intentional time with family. And she tends to agree with me, but it doesn't seem to change anything. Not that I expect that she does exactly what I do, but it can make me sad to see what was verbalized as a shared value go to the wayside.
I've had direct conversations with her about how sometimes I feel ignored or rejected when she looks at her phone when I'm midsentence or when we're in the middle of what I thought was an engaging conversation. She is very responsive to any concerns or requests I have (and vice versa) but the phone thing seems to come back up over time.
At what point do you find a way to accept things as they are? Do I continue to bring up my concerns or do I try to embrace the dynamic that exists in front of me?
This is my first healthy relationship after a decade long slide into hell with my ex, so I am still somewhat new to how healthy relationships operate.
Thanks again and I appreciate all that you're doing for lesbians younger than me to bridge generational gaps :)
The constant need to check on one's phone is definitely a habit at best and an addiction at worst. It can be a very hard habit to break. Admitting she is on her phone too much is only a small step. She really needs to see that she is constantly reaching for her phone without any thought about it.
See if she can agree to put her phone down, away from her, in another room and even shut it off for certain times of the day. Meals, when you are watching a movie together, when you are in bed and having those important evening couple "pillow talk" times. You deserve a few hours of her undivided attention daily or at least a few time a week. IF she cannot do that it is an addiction and I would suggest she seek some help with breaking the pattern.
If she agrees to set it down AND away from herself when you want her attention then I think you and she will find it becomes a good habit with practice. It will become automatic to put the phone away when meal time is here or when it is one on one time and that will become easier for her.
You are the only one who can decide if you can't live with the constant scrolling even when you are having a meal or an important discussion. IF she can't or won't try to change her habit you need to decide. If you are already feeling resentful for her lack of response to your very reasonable request it will only get worse unless she not only agrees to try but succeeds in breaking her reliance on the phone.
If you do not feel heard, respected, or feel like your emotions are being acknowledged it is not as healthy of a relationship as you deserve

Full name:  Laura Marion Bates Name meaning:  Laura: bay laurel; Marion: beloved or star of the sea; Bates: the meaning is debated, but might mean boat or lush pasture Pronouns: She/Her  Race: High Elf Age: 28  Orientation: Lesbian Romance: Lae'zel Class: Sorcerer Subclass: Draconic Bloodline (Copper) Origin: Outlander  Theme Song: You Might Not Like Her — Maddie Zahm / EAT ME — Demi Lovato and Royal & the Serpent
Personality Laura is sarcastic, but not cynical. She has a deadpan sense of humor without being unnecessarily mean. (She's only mean to people she believes deserve it.) Laura is blunt about her opinions, but she has some sense of tact. She can be a total dork when she gets excited, especially when it comes to magic. She's as giddy as a school girl whenever she finds a new spell or magical item.
Laura is a natural born leader. She’s talented and brilliant, but she doesn’t trust people easily. Minty and Ingrid are the only two people she truly trusts. She struggles with her self-worth and PTSD, preferring to fight her inner demons in private. Laura doesn’t reach out for help nearly as often as she should. She’s a humanitarian at heart and she’s not a judgmental person. At least, not unless what you’re doing is hurting someone else.
She does show signs of someone who has been traumatized. She can be irritable, even when she doesn’t understand why something is upsetting her so much. She’s easily startled and she can have a full on panic attack if something reminds her of her past. When not adventuring, she has to work to keep her mind busy to avoid thinking too much.
Background Unfortunately, these would be spoilers for @thebonnevillegame! Just know she grew up far from society. Baldur’s Gate was her first exposure to society at large and it’s been an adjustment period. She has dark secrets she likes to keep to herself.
She was living alone when she was abducted and tadpole’d. She had been working at The Counting House as a bookkeeper. Fortunately, her companions seem much more preoccupied with their own issues and they don’t ask a lot of questions.
Likes: Mathematics, magic, scary stories, knitting, small cottages and cabins, the countryside (she dreams of moving to the country some day), reading, and gardening
Dislikes: Talking about her past, washing dishes, heights, and sports
Fears: She's terrified of her past coming back for her. She doesn't want it to define her or for anyone to find out what happened to her. She's afraid she'll actually have to face it, but she also fears people will reject her when they discover who she really is. She has her found family and she's terrified of losing them.
Quirks: She fidgets a lot. She always has to keep busy with something to avoid letting her mind be taken by her anxieties. If she isn’t reading or knitting, she’s doing something else with her hands. She can be irritable, but she’s quick to apologize. She doesn’t want to be so easy to startle either.
Mental Health:  She wants to move on from her past, which has lead to her ignoring her own trauma. She just wants to pretend it never happened. She ignores a lot of her trauma reactions because she's so determined to be "cured." It only makes it worse.
Her childhood gave her extreme trauma and PTSD. If you are interested in learning more, check out @thebonnevillegame. YES, I AM PLUGGING THE SHOW HERE.
Favorite Foods: Seafood, Sweet Potatoes, Mint Jelly, Baldurian Mash, and Caster’s Stew
Favorite Drinks: Chamomile Tea
Favorite Flower: Foxglove and Oleander
Height:  5’6” / 167.64 cm
Skin: Dark Brown (Blush Tone 11)
Hair:  Black Red. Sometimes if she wants to change things up, she might use magic to temporarily change her hair color. She always goes back to black after a while though.
Eyes:  Brown (Brown 4)
Color Scheme:  She wears a lot of orange/burnt orange, rustic yellow, greens, and cream colored clothing.
Fashion Sense: While she wasn’t born into wealth, she loves high end clothing. She only dresses down on her adventures to avoid ruining her good clothes. But even then, she’s pretty stylish. She loves brightly colored dresses in particular.
Family:
I can't say much about her actual family, but her found family?
Minty Lam — Minty is one of her dearest friends. They just get each other and don't have to explain themselves or their idiosyncrasies.
Ingrid Sullenberger — Ingrid is one of the first friends she made in Baldur's Gate and they're thick as thieves. Ingrid is an understanding soul that Laura never feels like she has to justify herself to. Ingrid never demands too much of her either.
Bex McQuoid — Bex is the newest member of the "family." They don't hate each other, but its a slow burn friendship. Bex pushes Laura's buttons sometimes, but they also find each other hilarious. It helps that Bex is pretty nonjudgmental and doesn't confront Laura about her past. She let's Laura go at her own pace when talking about things.
Tessa Chastain — In the BG3 verse, they become good friends. Laura is cautious around her at first. She is a thief, after all, but they gain each other's trust. Now they're like weird cousins that, if texting were a thing in Faerûn, would text each other memes nonstop. Tessa becomes the big sister that Laura wishes she had growing up.

True Detective: Shadow Land
Chapter 1: Welcome To Hard Times
Tumblr media
(After True Detective: Night Country) Chief Elizabeth Danvers finds herself going back to revisit some old demons when missing Inapiut children go missing that tears the town of Ennis, Alaska apart. An unofficial sequel story following Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro aka my pitch for season 5 with them.
A/N: I'm a very big fan of Moby's music so hearing "This Wild Darkness" in episode 4 was like watching your team win the Superbowl
August 2, 2024
It had been several months since Danvers had last heard Holden’s voice beneath the ice. She had thought she was finally able to move on from him. She thought she was at peace. No nightmares since that surreal night at Tsalal station. Every once in a while she would have visions of Clark’s frozen body out on the snow. Tonight was different. Her dreams would be about Evangeline now. She hasn't seen her since April when Liz disappeared after she said goodbye at Liz's lake house. Tonight's dream was of Evangeline and Holden together, it was sweet, they were smiling together. Just the three of them in the dream. No one was hurting them.
Liz woke up to the daylight shining through the floor to ceiling windows, squinting her eyes hoping to see Navarro on the porch. Nothing. She picked up her phone checking to see if she got anything from her. She couldn't stop thinking about them. What they were. It was more than friendship. Liz couldn't help but admit inside she missed her greatly, that she wished she knew where she was. Would Navarro even want to be found? Liz didn't want to jump to the thought that she could be dead somewhere. Navarro could hold her own. She knew that.
“I can't come back to Ennis.”
Those words shook Liz to her core, but she understood why. The town was a fever dream. People will disappear and it will be considered normal.
Liz got dressed in her weather appropriate clothes that were not her uniform this time. Black jeans and a canvas black jacket. Although it was going into fall, she hadn't been able to see her for the majority of the summer. The blonde dialed up her number once again waiting for someone to talk on the other end.
“The number you have reached has been disconnected-”
“Fuck!” Liz slammed her phone down and chugged down the last of the coffee in her mug and thought about everything related to the younger woman that had happened. She couldn't bear to think about the night at Tsalal without breaking down in tears about it. She felt stupid for having emotion at 7 in the morning. She thought about going to look for her. Holden's bear. Shit that's right she left the bear at her house. As Liz sped down the terrible roads, she thought about the conversation with Navarro the last time they spoke at the lakehouse. How they both looked at each other with tears in their eyes. Danvers cried herself to sleep that night, holding a pillow like it was her partner's body. The next day she continued her job at the station like nothing had happened. She shoved it all the way in the back of her memory where she wouldn’t be able to think about it for awhile, until the next time she had a mental breakdown in the kitchen, in the breakroom when no one else was around. Evangeline left one written note. A few lines about how she cares about her and that she hopes she’ll be okay, and that it’s okay to be not okay.
“You know where to find me.”
***
The crisp air hit Liz’s face as she exited the suv, she found that the door was once again unlocked. Nothing had changed. She hasn't visited in at least a month. Liz had come to accept that her partner would never come back. This morning it looked like her view would continue down that path.
Liz felt another ache in her heart as she went back home to start her day. She swore to herself she wouldn't cry again about her unless her body was found.
She managed to push down her feelings once again by ignoring all those thoughts, she's been doing what Evangeline told her to do in the letter. Go to therapy, but Liz hasn't been very truthful to the therapist either. She'd mostly try to only talk about Leah as if Navarro never existed. Nothing has helped with forgetting her for the most part. She's alone all the time except for when Leah will come home late at night, usually past 12.
***
Liz closed the door behind her only to feel someone's hot breath on the back of her head. She didn't dare to turn around.
“Don't scream.” The figure said.
Liz could recognize that voice from a mile away. She couldn't bear to let it out now but her voice cracked. “Let me see you.”
“Turn around Liz.”.
Liz turned around. The woman she mourned was standing in her living room. They looked into each other's souls. For a moment Liz swore she could feel her body get warmer.
Evangeline began to speak. “You forgot I'm a lockpicker-”
Liz slapped her. She didn't know why, but it felt right. Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes. She observed the younger woman's face. She looked like she hasn't slept in a long time, like she's spent her night staying up focusing on something she cannot control. Liz stared at her in disbelief.
“The fuck is wrong with you! You can't even wake me up to say goodbye? Instead you- left me a note- I searched for your ass for months!” She yelled not caring if she spat.
“I know you have-”
“Oh? So you've been spying on me too? I thought you were dead! That it had been that long since anyone saw you and that you were out on the ice somewhere. I fucking mourned for you! I didn't know if you were hurt…if you were struggling, if you were- fuck!” She ran a hand through her hair. Her lips trembled with pain.
Navarro took note and lowered her head. “I know you went to my house today. I've been watching you since I left basically. I only came back because someone asked for my help, and that's why I'm here-...”
Liz went to the kitchen and popped some vitamins while she was listening until there was silence. “What? They're vitamins. I'm an old fart, if I want to keep movin’ I gotta take these.”
“I know. Which by the way, watching you try to put on your shoes is entertaining as shit.”
“Fuck you…oh Jesus you didn't see me during bedtime did ya?”
“No, I looked the other way. Anyways I'm here because I need your help on this case with the Inupiat. This cannot be involved with Prior and everyone at the station. Just us.”
“Oh fucking hell- you come back here and expect me to join you after this shit?” Liz shook her head.
“I didn't. The women do. The children are missing, Liz.”
“Then why don't they call us?”
“They don't trust y'all to help, except you. Only because you were with me and gave the autopsy info to them.”
Navarro walked to her and reached for her hand but Liz pulled away quickly.
“Liz I-”
“No…no. Not after this…” Liz wiped her eyes. “Some nights you're here with me, and we would talk. I actually hated myself for how I treated you.”
“I thought about you. All the time. I haven't stopped thinking about you, Liz. Trust me, I did. I still hold on to what happened at Tsalal.” Her voice cracked too. “I felt you slip away from me-”
“Shut up. Stop it…” Liz put on her utility belt and walked out the door. “Get in the car and drive me wherever.”
***
“You…have you been sleeping?” Liz turned to face her, looking at the black eye that was fading away. “Who hit you? I'll kill em.” Before Liz could think about what she was going to say, she spat it out.
Navarro glanced at her and sighed. Liz hasn't been this attentive in forever. Especially threatening a nonexisting perpetrator. That was new. “I got hit by a fucking tree branch, and no, I haven't.”
“You shouldn't be driving.”
“I'm fine.” She got uncomfortable quickly. “So, who was that woman parked out of your house on Monday? Nice looking woman, quite young right?”
“Jesus Christ Navarro. That's my cousin, and she's in her 50s.”
“Oh. Well I was curious because it was weird that you closed the curtains.” She assumed the hotness ran in her family.
“Why were you spying on me in the first place?
“Long story but short story is I was making sure you were okay.”
“Uh huh.”
Liz leaned her head against the seatbelt strap and thought about what Navarro could have seen at her house.
“It's been several months. How's dating? I mean we know you've fucked every guy in town so I don't know who else is left unless Ms Danvers is into women-”
“Can we just not talk? I haven't seen anyone since before Tsalal. Now shut it.”
“That's surprising.”
“What part of shut it do you not get?”
“Hey I'm just trying to ease back into conversations. I don't care about what sex you date Liz…I just, really fucking missed you and I didn't have a choice about a lot of things. I missed a lot of things…we’re here.”
***
As they stood at the doorstep Navarro leaned towards her. Liz was taken aback until she realized she was fixing her shirt under the jacket. Navarro toyed with the zipper and held Liz by the biceps.
“What are you doing?”
“You're skinny. You need to eat more.”
Liz scoffed and released from her grasp. “Sorry I wasn't eating because I was scared shitless about you. Thinking my friend was dead!”
Navarro crossed her arms acting like she was trying to assert dominance. “You haven't changed one bit since Tsalal. A woman in this field needs to be built for the job.”
“You should've told that to Connelly when he was still working there ya know?”
“We're not talking about him-”
The door opened in front of them. Liz ran her hand through her hair again and straightened her back. Liz changed almost completely since Tsalal. Peter would say she was extremely generous towards the other cops, her sarcasm and bluntness was still there but she thought of others thoroughly and made sure everyone at the station was good to work each day.
“-...” Liz didn't speak. She could already feel the horror through the pain in the woman's eyes.
“Last time we talked I believe it was about an autopsy?”
“That is correct…ma'am.”
She moved out of the way to let them in where her and Navarro sat down in the chairs they were in last time. Liz took off her hat and looked around the room, the same 11 women were there. They had looks on their face full of sadness, confusion, rage. Liz felt their pain, she felt the same sorrow when she lost her baby boy. She gulped and looked at Navarro, who had several small scabbed cuts on her face, hair looked dirty. Liz’s gaze was directed when Sutres Meli knocked on the wood.
“I’m going to be very blunt, white woman. Our children are missing. All of their children are missing. They’re disappearing from us. We don’t know how or why. We want answers, we want them back.”
Liz gulped and took out her small notepad from her pocket with a pen. “I would like to talk to each of the parents.”
“Fine, but we want justice. We want our babies back alive.”
“Ms. Meli, I’ll do what it takes to find them-”
“Alive.”
Liz nodded and Sutres removed herself from the seat. Each woman would sit across from her at the table where they each gave their name, name of the kid, where they were last seen, when they vanished. Every possible detail of what happened. This went on for about 45 minutes. Most of them broke down into tears as they spoke. When Liz was done Navarro leaned into her ear. “We can’t bring the feds into this.”
Liz was puzzled. “Why?”
“Because everyone outside this house thinks I’m dead.”
“You’re going to return to society if you like it or not, I don’t have time to put up with this.”
“You don’t get to decide that Liz!”
“Cut the shit Navarro! We have 23 missing children! Just in this town! We’ll talk about this later-”
One of the women came up to her. Eyes wetted. Liz changed her attitude. “Where Gavin disappeared, I want you to look at where he last was…”
“Take me.”
***
The woman walked them to the house where Liz got a glimpse of his room, the childhood innocence left behind by sorrow. Liz looked at the walls. The child's paintings from school pinned to a bulletin board.
Liz held it together well being reminded of painting with Holden. She had to stop, to get over him already, he died almost a decade ago and she was still mourning. “A mother’s love for her child never fades.” She ran her fingers over the paper, the constant reminder that Holden was gone and all that was left was his paintings. Liz snapped out of it when the mother gathered her attention to the back shed.
“I asked him to bring in our broken flower pot, we were going to fix it up- After 10 minutes of him not coming back inside, I got worried so I came out here and…he’s gone.”
Navarro looked inside, the pot of dirt shattered on the wooden floor. “Something ain’t right about this Liz.”
“No shit…” She mumbled. Liz observed the wooden floor, rather it being like a weird residue splashed on to it creating an oily finish. Crouching down looking closer at it, a red dot caught the corner of her eye. She looked closer, A dried drop of crimson.”
“Liz…”
Liz’s heart sank. Did this mean anything could be permanent? No. Did it mean something. Yes. In Liz’s eyes this person must’ve been very good at this, has obviously done it before. The sun beated through the clouds and on to her back, starting to get warm and overwhelmed. “You have a UV light on you by any chance?”
“It’s a keychain-”
“That’ll work.”
Liz pressed down on the button and let the ultraviolet light hit the work. Smears of blank residue were on the wood. Liz knew from her years what this was but it was extremely rare since when most people clean up blood it never goes away, but there’s one chemical that can get rid of it entirely. “What is it?” Navarro observed her face.
“Whoever this is…they know what they’re doing. Do you know what this is Ange?”
Evangeline was surprised by that nickname. Liz hadn’t used it since before Eve killed that bastard back when they were on good terms. “No Liz.”
“I’m not 100% sure, but this person almost left no evidence. There’s one chemical that can get rid of what blood leaves behind. The stuff in Lysol, hydrogen peroxide, and no, not straight out of the can, but the unfiltered, pure chemical. You can’t inhale that shit. Nor can you get it at a Walmart. Shit, you need a special license I think, I don't’ know. I think you can only get it by being a chemistry teacher or something.”
“So, time to call everyone?”
Liz gave her a stare. “Yes. I’m calling Prior and you’re going back to my place, you’ll stay hidden if that’s what you really want, but come up with a story fast if you want to come back…I want you to come back. We miss you…” Liz looked away from her and stood up to call the station. “We need everyone on this. 23 children missing, so far. I have a shed I need specialists on.
***
Pete Prior talked to them first. Evangeline decided to make a return to society and came up with a decent story of how she just wanted to disappear. Pete hugged her and had a full reunion. Liz gave a soft smile and talked to the rest of the cops. Connelly was gone thank god. He got fired at the very least. By the time everyone took notes from the families it was dark out and getting cold fast. Liz heard whispers about how Trooper Navarro was back from the dead or some shit like that. Her blonde strands of hair got in her face, she admired Navarro’s presence from afar. Liz stood by herself on the rocks and put her gloves on. “Everyone! This is the biggest case Ennis has seen. We owe it to these people big time. Our respect, their children. They’re good people. I will do whatever it takes to find these children. We all need to work together, but for now we need to get the feds involved. We cannot do this on our own!”
***
Liz walked over to Peter by the pickup truck and patted his back. He had one of those satellite phones that could call anyone anywhere. She always found that cool. “You on the phone with em?”
Pete hung up.
“So this is what you've been up to all day?”
“You got a problem?”
“I'd just appreciate it if you would let me know about this stuff beforehand?”
“I'm sorry, okay?” The corner of Liz's mouth stretched making a guilty face.
Pete sighed. “They’re going to be here next Thursday. For the whole team. A smaller team will be here Sunday.”
“Shit. Well it’s better than nothing. I’m going home. Fucking late, haven’t eaten anything today. Taking Navarro with me. Don’t let anyone know okay?”
“Of course Chief…be safe?”
Liz nodded before walking off. “Goodnight Pete.”
***
The car ride back to Liz’s lake house was silent. Liz couldn't believe everything that was happening. She wasn't built for this anymore. She wants to scream into the sky, to disappear into the night, it was all bringing back old memories. Now that Navarro was back she couldn’t bring herself to say the whole speech she prepared.
When they entered the house Liz took off her jacket and gave Evangeline a look. “You smell. Go take a shower. Your box of clothes is in the spare bedroom, your name's on it. I’ll make dinner.”
Evangeline felt extremely fortunate that someone cared for her this much. “Liz”
She popped open a beer from the fridge and looked up. “What?”
Navarro was going to say something about her drinking but when she saw her soft face with hardened edges, she let it go. “Thank you.”
For the first time in awhile Liz smiled the softest she could. The memories flooded back to them both. “We're friends right? You don't have to thank me.” Liz set down the beer and walked over to the much taller woman. Liz didn't think at the moment and caressed her cheek. “I'm just happy you're really here. That's all that matters in this moment.” She tried not to cry, she’s saving the tears for later. Right now she’s happy.
***
A half hour later Evangeline came out of the shower. Liz changed into some sweats, wanting at least some comfort in the dark hour. She made the burgers on the George Foreman grill and made the burger just how Navarro liked it; spicy ranch and pickles. Finding comfort in making the table made her feel mother-like in a way again. She shook the image of Holden from her head and sat down. Reading the texts on her phone. Peter saying how all of the crime scenes have traces of dried blood left behind. Everything that could come from that would be a horrible assumption.
Elizabeth Danvers: Ok. Get some sleep. Goodnight.
Evangeline came out of the room shortly after. Dressed in the sweat clothes she Left behind at her house from before. Liz looked up and stared at her. Taking off her glasses to get a better look. She looked breathtaking with her hair down, free from dirt and all. The tall woman sits down and digs into the burger. She clearly hasn't eaten real food in a long time.
***
Dinner was a silent fest unfortunately. Just nothing being said. Liz kelt waiting for Evangeline to say something but it was a bust.
After dinner Liz followed Evangeline to the bedroom where she just simply fixed up her bed for the other woman. Liz picked up Holden's polar bear and played with the off white hairs. Liz grew uncomfortable and broke the silence.
“Can I ask a question? Just one…”
“Okay?”
“Did you have anywhere to stay?” She asked in a quiet, soft tone.
“Some dude's place. His place sucked.”
Liz nodded. “Are you hurt?”
“You said one question.”
“Okay I lied.”
“No…but I could use a massage right here?” Evangeline pointed to a part on her back above the shoulder blades. Liz patted the bed so Navarro could sit down while the older one tended to her. Liz pressed her fingers and thumbs deep into the sore areas, she let out whimpers of pain trying to not let them out of her mouth.
Liz gulped and rubbed the space between the collarbone and shoulder blades. Trying not to hurt her too much. Navarro flinched under her fingers with a hiss.
“Want me to stop?”
“Yeah.”
Danvers swung over her legs so she sat directly next to her on the bed. “I'll sleep on the couch tonight-”
“No you don't have to.”
“But I want to. You need lots of sleep, sleep in if you want. It's no use when you're nodding off on an empty stomach and all on a case. I know what that's like.”
“Okay Danvers.”
“You tired of talking to me?”
Evangeline gave her a glare. “Liz, I don't give a shit about that. It's just, I never wanted to die, I wanted to never be heard from again, but when Sutres came to me about it, I just did not want to believe, but I always wanted to come back to you. I can't stop overthinking about this, it has been haunting my sleep”
“Ange it's okay. Get some sleep. Here.” Liz put Holden's bear in her lap and rubbed her back. “He missed you too.”
When Liz left the room, Evangeline cried a little bit about Liz trusting her with the plush. About how Liz was so gentle with her, how she caressed her face. Evangeline liked her quite a lot, she grew on her over their shared time together. Before Wheeler, she truly was a mentor of hers. She knew Liz like the back of her hand. She thought about her dirty blonde strands of her hair, how they rounded her face so nicely, how her eyes crinkle when she smiles. Danvers was an attractive woman, no doubt about that, especially for her age. She was a sarcastic, blunt person and Evangeline was addicted to her attitude. How she presented herself. She took shit from no one. Being attracted to that legal senior was hard work. She soon fell into a deep slumber. She was back at Tsalal where that night would become the event that would haunt her.
"I'm sorry..." The older woman said. Almost a whisper. Her voice destroyed, sounding so hoarse, the pain and guilt finally leaked out.
Navarro held her close. She could feel her cold breath hit her skin. "I got you. I got you. It's okay." She turned her head so her lips were resting on her forehead. She gave Liz a peck and rubbed her back. The sound of her cries blended in with the howl of the wind outside.
***
When Evangeline woke up she heard the sound of splashing outside. The sun leaked through the crack in the curtains, the ray of sunshine hitting her directly in the eye. She pulled herself out of bed wondering what could make that sound. She unlocked the door and opened it. It was very mild out for Alaska, a wind chill for sure, but this time of year was nice. Out of the corner of her eye she saw water splashing from the lake by the end of the dock.
“Danvers!”
She ran to the edge of the dock getting ready to jump in when Liz's head came up from under the water. She had a grin on her face that confused Evangeline. “Were you about to come in and save me?”
“I thought you were drowning!”
Liz chuckled as she swam over to her, lifting herself out of the water and standing herself up on the dock. “Can you hand me my towel?” She asked about, being in some cargo shorts and a sports bra. She caught Evangeline staring at her soaked figure.
Navarro handed her the towel and shook her head. “What the hell are you doing out here?”
“Swimming?”
“That water is freezing. Do you do this everyday or?”
“I started when you left. I found myself afraid of water so my therapist recommended me doing some exercises for getting used to it again.” Liz saw Evangeline wasn't even looking her in the eyes but paying attention to her strong core. Liz dried herself and snapped her fingers. “Hey I'm talking. What? You surprised I'm not a skinny ass anymore?” Evangeline wanted to touch those rippling abs but god only knows what thoughts in her head would pop up later.
“You're still a skinny ass.” She quipped.
Liz rolled her eyes and whipped her on the ass with her towel. “Asshole.”

February 26th: Furry Friends
___ nudged Aigonorus as the other ignored her offer of a marshmallow.
“... Huh?”
“Aigo are you okay? You’ve been distracted all evening…” It’d be one thing if her boyfriend had fallen asleep but that wasn’t the case. He just didn’t really seem in the room.
“Sorry,” Aigonorus muttered, sighing. “I was thinking about my Heralds.”
Sitting up on the sofa in her apartment,  ___ took his hand in hers with concern. “Is something wrong with Nashira and the others?”
Aigonorus glanced away from her. “I don’t think so… it’s just… I’ve been spending so much time on Earth lately…”
“Oh,”  ___ murmured, smiling softly in understanding. “You’re worried they might be feeling lonely. Why didn’t you say so before?”
“... I didn’t want to bother you…”
___ sighed. “Aigo you come and meet me everyday after work at the planetarium unless it’s impossible for you to get away. If you need to check on your Heralds I don’t mind.”
“... Oh…” Aigonorus then relaxed into a smile. “Then guess I’ll go there tomorrow. If I head back to the Heavens now I’m only gonna get noticed and the others will be a pain…”
Laughing lightly,  ___ then fed him a marshmallow. Now that Aigonorus had got what was bothering him off his chest, their relaxing evening went more like usual.
***
The following evening when  ___ finished work, she stepped outside the planetarium with a smile which then faded as she remembered that Aigonorus wasn’t going to pick her up for once. She had meant it when she said she didn’t mind but it felt rather odd for the other not to be there for once. It had been months since the last time that had been the case.
Recalling how Aigonorus had been the previous evening,  ___ tried to think whether there was anything she could do to help.
Heading into the city and looking around, she came across an advert in a pet shop window and her eyes widened. Something like that would probably reassure Aigonorus but would it even work? Still, maybe it would be worth a go anyway. Perhaps she could discuss it with one of the other Gods? Yes, if anyone would know if it’d work it’d be him, she’d have to go to the mansion first anyway to get to the Heavens.
Now smiling brightly, she went into the pet shop and approached the counter. “About the advert in your window? If I can’t get the device to function in the area I want it to, can I return it?”
“Yes of course, though I do not see why it should be a problem.”
“The… connection there can be a little hit and miss…”
“Ah, I see. Bit rural is it?”
You have no idea,  ___ thought to herself. “Something like that, yes.”
“Alright, let me fetch one for you. Was there anything else?”
___ hesitated. “Well… I don’t suppose you’ve any treats that are suitable for goats?”
***
A while later,  ___ arrived at the mansion. She smiled brightly as Huedhaut opened the door.
“I am afraid if you are looking for Aigo, he hasn’t returned from the Heavens yet. From what Lou told me he was going to check on his Heralds tonight…”
“Yes, I know,”  ___ reassured, “We talked about that yesterday. Actually it was you I wanted to talk to.”
Huedhaut’s eyes widened a little. “Oh?” He then smirked at her. “If you are starting to get frustrated with how long he spends asleep then I am afraid I do not have an answer to that. If I did, I would have used it years ago.”
___ laughed lightly. “No, nothing like that. This is to do with his Heralds as well actually.”
“Is there a problem we should know about?” Huedhaut asked, his expression now concerned.
“No. It’s just Aigo’s been worrying about them due to him being here so much. I’ve had an idea but… it’s something that requires stuff on Earth and I’ve no idea whether it’d work in the Heavens… or better yet if half of it would work up there and the other half down here…”
“... I think you better come in.”
***
It was pretty late by the time  ___ headed to the Heavens, but she was determined to give Aigonorus his present tonight. After a long talk with Huedhaut and attempting to explain to him how exactly the item she had bought would usually work, he had consulted a few of his books and eventually had come up with a way to enhance the device so it should work how she was envisioning.
“You still worried about this, little lady?”
___ snapped out of her thoughts, and turned to face Tauxolouve with a smile. “Sorry, I’m sure if Huedhaut thinks this’ll work it’ll be fine. It’s just I’ve now gotta explain to Aigo…”
Tauxolouve laughed lightly. “I think showing him would be easier than explaining, don’t you?”
Relaxing,  ___ nodded. “Yes, you’re right. Thanks for bringing me up here…”
“No trouble at all,” Tauxolouve reassured. “‘M just glad you were able to get Aigo to tell you what was on his mind. He seemed more out of it than usual during our shift yesterday.”
Once they had passed through the doorway fully, Tauxolouve snapped his fingers to teleport them both to just outside the mansion where Aigonorus kept his Heralds. “You sure you’ll be alright from here?”
___ nodded and smiled in way of thanks at Tauxolouve. “Yeah. I’m sure Aigo can bring me back down to Earth after. I’ve got this from here.”
“Well you know we’re always only a wish away if you need anything,” Tauxolouve replied with a wink, before snapping his fingers and vanishing.
Shaking her head a little,  ___ headed quickly into the building, carefully gripping the care package she had prepared Aigonorus.
“Aigo?”  ___ called out as she entered the main area. She frowned a little as there was no answer. Perhaps the other had already left? But if that was the case she would have expected the Heralds to have more of an issue with her being there and they hadn’t confronted her either.
It was then she caught sight of what looked like a mass of white wool from a distance. Running over to the corner of the room she laughed at the sight of the divine beasts all curled up with each other and Aigonorus fast asleep with them.
Laying down beside him,  ___ brushed some fluff lightly out of his hair, sighing softly as even that didn’t make him stir. “You really care about them,” she murmured lovingly, placing a kiss on his cheek before laying her head on his shoulder.
The package could wait. Closing her eyes, she soon found herself joining the others in their sleep.
***
“ ___ ?”
“Nghh…”  ___ stirred a while later as she felt someone shaking her. Blearily opening her eyes, she forced a smile as she saw Aigonorus looking at her with concerned eyes. “Aigo. You’re awake.”
“Uh huh. What are you doing here? Something’s not happened has it?”
Sitting up,  ___ shook her head. “No, if there was a problem I would have tried harder to wake you. I wanted to give you this.”
As she handed him the package, Aigonorus’ eyes widened with curiosity. Carefully tearing away the paper he frowned and tilted his head slightly in puzzlement. “What exactly is this? This thing has some sort of lens in it and this looks like a much smaller version of your TV… oh but this is…” he picked the bag of grass cuttings up.
“That’s for your Heralds. I know you can simply summon food… if they even need food… but…”
Aigonorus smiled brightly, overjoyed, once again reminded that she was nothing like that Goddess. “I’m sure they’ll love it.” Opening the bag of grass and tipping it out so that the Heralds could eat it, Aigonorus moved away from them with  ___ . “How’d you get here anyway?”
“I asked Lou,”  ___ replied. “I know I could have waited till we saw each other tomorrow but I really wanted to show you this after Huedhaut and I worked out how we could get it to work up here.”
“... Oh you’ve spoken to Hue as well…” Aigonorus muttered, pouting a little that the others had had time with her whilst he was up here.
“Aigo I’m sure you’ll like this if you just let me show you…”  ___ reassured softly, taking the devices back from him.
“This…” she held up the ‘thing with a lens’ before attaching it to one of the pillars. “Is technically a type of webcam.”
Aigonorus blinked. “That’s made out of spider webs?”
___ stifled a laugh. “No. It’s…” she shook her head. “The name doesn’t matter for the moment.” Trying to explain the internet to Aigonorus would likely need way more time than they had right now. “What matters is you’ll be able to see your Heralds without even coming here…”
The other now seemed even more confused.
Sighing softly,  ___ moved over to him and turned the ‘smaller TV’ on. On the screen the Heralds could be seen enjoying the grass clippings she had bought them. “Thanks to Huedhaut’s research this tablet should show you their pen even when we’re on Earth. You can talk to them through it too.”
Aigonorus’ eyes widened. “Then…” he hesitated. “It’s a bit like a reflecting pool?”
___ smiled at him. “I suppose in a way it is. It’ll only show here though because it’s the only place I’ve set a webcam up.”
“But you say they’ll also be able to hear me through it?”
“And you’ll be able to hear them, though I’m not sure that’ll be enough for your powers to tell what they’re actually telling you,” she answered, her voice a little apologetic.
Aigonorus, however, was smiling lovingly at her. “I’ve always kinda wondered whether there was a way to check on them without heading all the way out here every time. C’mon let’s get you home. I wanna make sure this does actually work when we’re on Earth anyway.”
Moving into his outstretched arm,  ___ leant on him happily as he snapped his fingers.
Back in her apartment, Aigonorus checked the tablet he was holding and one of the brightest smiles  ___ had ever seen him use spread across his face.
“Aigo?”
“It really does work…” he then put the tablet down and turned to face her, a mischievous glint now in his eyes. “But I’ve spent all evening with them so I know they’re fine right now even without that. Tonight should just be you and me.”
Blushing furiously,  ___ let Aigonorus pull her into a very tight embrace, her eyelids fluttering closed as he thanked her with a tender kiss.

Astrological Placements of the 118:
Before I begin, these are my headcanons and while you are free to disagree, don’t rain on my parade pls and thank you. Also I’m not an expert and don't have every placement for each character, I just find astrology interesting and if anyone wants to add their thoughts on these then go for it!
Buck
Cancer Sun: Our sun signs is our egos, so when I say cancer sun, I’m talking about his persona. He’s sensitive, emotional, loving, in touch with his emotions, he is a feeler more than a thinker, he is overly protective of the ones he sees as family and I think cancer sun suits him very well. Also, Oliver is cancer sun, too, so that’s not really a reach (Also hello his head/heart tattoo).
Aries Moon: Our moon sign is how we process our feelings, like which sign we feel our emotions. Aries is a fire sign and can be hot blooded, passionate, driven and fiery. When you think of Buck, his mood go from 0 to 100 within seconds. Most of the time, he acts on his emotions and thinks later. He is impulsive and his feelings run high. That screams aries moon to me.
Leo Rising: Our rising sign is how people see us when they first meet us and their first expression on us. Leos are there. Your eyes just can’t ignore them. They are flirty, they are loud, they get your attention without even trying. They look sure of themselves. That’s Buck for you.
Leo Venus: I mean come on. Praise kink. Over the top gifts. Venus is how we show our love, our aesthetic so to speak. Remember that hot air balloon Buck got for Abby? Dinners in expensive restaurants? That expensive coffee machine for Eddie? He loves to pamper his lovers and wants to be pampered in return. Satisfying his lovers is so important for him because it also means he is good at what he’s doing, which boosts his ego.
Eddie
Virgo Sun: His petty ass is just screams virgo. He is sarcastic, organized, ACT OF SERVICE, calm, disciplined. That man is a virgo.
Virgo Moon: Emotional constipation. He tries to rationalize his feelings instead of actually feeling them. He feels deep, but doesn't show it and sometimes he doesn't even let himself feel. But he cares so fucking much. Also, having a routine definitely makes them feel better.
Scorpio Rising: Tell me this man isn't gorgeous. He is magnetic, he is sexy, he is mysterious, from the moment you see him you want to know everything about him, he is captivating. He has this vibe to him that leaves you interested.
Capricorn Venus: One word. Stability. He won't open up to you unless he sees you in his future (Hello, Ana). I also headcanon Eddie as demisexual so that may play some part in this, but he isn't the one to fool around just for the sake of it, he wants someone to settle with in the long term and if that person doesn't check every box, then it means nothing. Oh also, he is bossy so...
Bobby
Taurus Sun: He is just so fatherly, so warm, a good leader and a very good cook, Bobby exudes comfort and security, when I think of Bobby I think of a taurus.
Air/Earth Moon: I can't say for sure, but he is either an air moon or an earth moon. He knows when to switch off his feelings and do what needs to be done. He goes after what he wants and is protective as fuck.
Cancer Venus: I think he is very sensual, family oriented, playful, committed. He will make you feel loved in everyway, he will listen to your troubles and share your feelings even if he can't do much more.
Hen
Aquarius Sun: Her whole personality is about resistance to me. She is cool, unique, funny, idealistic, rebellious. That's Hen for you.
Libra Rising: The way she carries herself is so elegant. Libra's ruler is venus and venus is about beauty, aesthetics, and Hen just knows how to do it. The way she dresses, the way she talks. Always on point.
Gemini Venus: Geminis needs mental stimulation. Her wife is an astrophysicist 😃 she wants someone she can talk to about anything and who she can be free with, or she's out.
Chimney
Sagitarrius Sun: Literal light of the room. He is so positive, so lighthearted, so carefree, so fun to be around and so intellectual. I just know Chimney knows so much about philosophy and stuff like that.
Scorpio Moon: Hesitant and suspicious at first but once you earn his trust he is passionate and doesn't go down without a fight. He feels intense, he is sensual, he is a lover.

What connection do you think Geeta has to Area Zero? Her ace Pokémon is a Glimmora, which can only be found in Area Zero, and the league/academy was responsible for funding the professor’s research iirc.
I have... a LOT of questions about Geeta that I am really hoping the DLC clears up in some capacity
One of the most important ones in terms of this ask and just in general is exactly when she became top champion. Was it before Sada / Turo started their research-- and by extension was she in charge of / knew about the money being afforded to them? Her relation to the professors and their tera research is majorly going to affect exactly how much she knows about Area Zero and everything going on down there. I also have to wonder if she was there while Team Star was getting bullied and whether that whole situation / the entire staff leaving is relevant to how she runs the academy / conducts her relationship with the school and Clavell. But that's a rabbit hole for another time.
Anyway. On one hand you have the possibility that Geeta came in after the tera orb research is completed-- we know that the league more or less separated themselves from the professors as soon as they got the tera orb so if this is the case I wouldn't doubt that Geeta just has no fucking idea about any of the time machine stuff. This also explains why Miss Micromanagement wouldn't stick her nose into all that drama or at least try and interfere with stuff / deal with it herself. Atm I'm assuming this is the case because Geeta seems surprisingly uninvolved with anything professor wise, and her personality seems to imply she would be a little more entrenched in all the paradox nonsense if she knew about it
On the OTHER hand we have the possibility that Geeta joined before the tera research and maybe even gave the professors the money. Personally I'm not super stroked about this interpretation bc 1. it leans way farther towards the "geeta is evil" side of things, which I find particularly boring, and 2. the amnt of questions it offers gives me pause. If Geeta knew about the professors' research, it begs the question of why she wasn't hounding them / checking up on them at all. Geeta is pretty involved with / protective of Nemona and talks constantly about the future of Paldea, so her knowing about but ignoring Arven seems strange to me. It's possible she did know about the professors but that they just hid the time machine / AI really well, but honestly I'm not sold on that. Knowing Geeta, she would have bothered them / done checkups if she knew which makes me wonder why she's so disconnected from th professors even moreso than Clavell. Unless she did know and was hiding something, but again, League Chairwoman secretly evil is kinda. eh.
Anyway, I DO think she has a connection to Terapagos and Area Zero somehow, but that it may not necessarily involve the professors or anything we've seen thus far. I adore making AUs where she's more intertwined with the gods of the crater (and the status of the crater as a living thing but that's another post) and in general love exploring the idea, but as of now canon seems to be implying she either knows very little about the professors' / crater's whole Deal or she's hiding smth. I'm leaning towards the former

When Shadows Ward Off Darkness (Part 3)
Chapter 3
Prologue Part 1 Part 2
Summary: Making up and New revelations are in order
•○●⛦●○•
A/n: this part is again, a lil boring, if i say so myself, but its picking up, so im happy
next part will be fun to write 😏
@acotargiftexchange
•○🌑○•
During the whole time Gwyn and Draven had been friends, they had explored hidden and secret places in the kingdom and turned them into their secret haunts, some of them being a dilapidated building, a forest rumoured to be haunted, though Gwyn could not find a single troubled soul other than herself and Draven in that forest.
Unless they were the ghosts people were talking about, then the forest definitely was haunted.
The small strip of land walled off from the rest of the beach was one of their favorite places to spend time at.
The sun nearly singed Gwyn's skin, but she pushed on, determined to get to the beach and take a dip in the cool, calming waters.
All she could do was hope that she didn't encounter him there.
The beach was one of the places where Gwyn found peace, something about the waters calming her soul, and Draven simply followed her around as if he had nothing else to do.
Which, considering he was a prince, checked out.
But her luck had begun being cruel to her lately, and she found him pacing along the cliffside, kicking up sand in his wake, his obnoxious cloak fluttering behind him, and just watching him wear such heavy clothes, Gwyn felt the urge to rip off her own skin, the heat and sweat drowning her more than the sea ever did.
She decided to step forward, and then instantly cursed whatever part of her brain had decided that.
He whipped towards her, his throat bobbing as he swallowed.
"Gwyn."
She ignored him, beelining straight for the water glittering under the harsh sunlight.
"Gwyn! It was not that big of a deal, okay? You are mad as if I killed your cats with a stick." He yelled in frustration, following behind her.
She turned back to him, gaping. "I would stab you to death with the same stick if you killed them. And it was that big of a deal, because now I don't know what was real and what wasn't, Draven." Then something occurred to her. "Is Draven even your name? Or is that another lie?"
He sighed, massaging his forehead. "It is my name. In a way." Before Gwyn could ask the question, he answered. "It's my middle name."
"And what is your actual name?"
"Azriel. Azriel Draven Black."
Gwyn rolled that name around in her head, admitting to herself that it was a beautiful name.
"Will you listen to me now?"
Gwyn lifted her chin, huffing. "You have exactly two minutes."
Draven's- Azriel's- jaw tightened, but he nodded. "Fine. You wanted to know why I didn't tell you I was a prince. It was because I knew you hated royals."
"I still had the right to know who I was becoming friends with."
He gave her a look. "You really want me to believe that you would not have kneed me in the balls the moment I let it slip that I was even distantly related to the King and Queen?"
Fair enough.
"Look Gwyn, I did not ask for this life, and everyday I try my best to be worthy of it."
Gwyn nodded, not knowing what to say.
"Also, I am not a real prince. I was not born in the royal family."
Gwyn's jaw slid to the ground. "You really were picked from the garbage then?"
He blinked, his lips twitching. "Yes, Me and Cassian were, technically, picked from the garbage."
Her cheeks reddened. "Sorry. I did not mean to say that."
He grinned slightly. "Come, I'll tell you more."
•○🌑○•
It had been a few days since Gwyn forgave Azriel, and everything was going a little too well.
Something was bound to happen.
That morning, Gwyn found out that she was a half breed.
Half human, half merfolk.
She had been shocked, but not as much as she would expect to be.
She guessed it had something to do with the blood in her veins, how the way her body knew how to move before she did in water, how she knew how to swim before she even knew how to speak properly.
Currently sitting on the dining table opposite her uncle and next to her sister, Gwyn wondered how she had not figured it out earlier.
Catrin squeezed her hand, offering a small smile, and Gwyn knew she was pretending to not be affected by this information so she could be strong for Gwyn. But the disbelief in her eyes and her shaking hands stated otherwise.
"Why are you telling us this now?" Catrin questioned her uncle, who leaned back in his chair, sighing.
"Because according to the laws of the mer people, you and your sister have now come of age, and that means you must visit the queen, your mother, and stay in the kingdom for atleast a year. The queen will then decide if you get to leave."
Gwyn took in that information, her head reeling. "Why have we been living with you then?"
"The merfolk are a people who prefer to have the females in power, the goddess they follow dictating that females are pure and fertile, giving them the gift of life and having them rule justly and in a way good for the people. The males are either brought up by the blessing of the queen, or outcasted. Bearing a male child is a disgrace to the goddess, and despite it being rare that a mal is born, not many mer females like to raise the male child. The children who are removed from the mer society either die, or they are taken in by the mer people that worship the devil and live on the outskirts of the underwater kingdom."
"And how do you know about all this?"
Their uncle gave them a look. "I was one of the few half breeds, since humans are hated by the mer people, despite the half breeds proving to be more useful than a normal mer." He grumbled something under his breath that sounded suspiciously a lot like fucking mer standards. "Your mother, my distant cousin, sent you two to me to take care of until you were of age."
Until you were of age.
That did not sound like a blessing.
"And now what?" Catrin mumbled, her hand tightening on Gwyn's. Apparently she had come to the same conclusion as Gwyn had.
Their uncle smiled ruefully, standing and turning away to walk into his room. "You will be meeting your mother soon."

Mmmm now I’m triggered lol.
Halle Bailey did not gaslight anyone. It’s not gaslighting when one, you don’t have any relationship with this person, platonic or otherwise, not even a conversation. So exactly how did she gaslight you? What she did was not acknowledge the fact that she was pregnant…to the public. It’s not like she was lying to the people closest to her about being pregnant. And not once did she deny being pregnant! She may have jugged on or ignored a lot of yall’s questions, but she had every right to do that if she didn’t want to share the experience with the public. Let’s not start this narrative that she was “gaslighting” cause yall don’t know how to not project your own shit on other people. Even Chloe never denied it, she just said yall stop gossiping about my sister! As she should have. Period. Halle was never the problem.
It was obvious. She knew it was obvious. People caught on, and she even straight up got caught with those hoodie pics. But you know what, she continued to keep that shit to herself because she ain’t want to talk about it with yall! And guess what, she wasn’t obligated nor required to talk to yall or acknowledge anything.
I’m getting irritated at the comments. “She so weird, why talk about it now? Oh she just didn’t want to be looked at as a baby mama. Oh she was tryna to maintain her Disney image.” Blah, blah, blah. Y’all will never know what her reasons were unless she decides to share that. Speculate all you want. But a woman has the right to be like, hey I don’t want to share my actual pregnancy experience with you guys. I don’t want to be asked questions in interviews. I don’t want yall judgement cause I’m not married or I’m too young in your eyes. I don’t want to deal with yall being all in my business. So no, you don’t get to see me pregnant. No, I’m not gonna answer questions about it. Yes I will sit in this poofy ass dress with my legs crossed, knowing you can tell, but talking to you about everything else BUT. You think this press tour, people didn’t know? All these interviews, people didn’t know? Her team kept that shit on lock and made sure everyone kept their mouths shut! Kudos to them!
A woman also has the right to say, now that my child is here, I’m willing to share more. I’m going to acknowledge my child. And y’all still ain’t gonna get every bit of info, but y’all can stop talking now. Like y’all done done now?
Nothing wrong with that. Nothing weird about that. Hence why in her caption she says the world was “desperate” to meet him. Cause folks was hella pressed.
Now do I have some opinions on who with and why now, yes I do. Do I have some opinions about the black community and baby mama/baby daddy culture, yes I do.
But that’s neither here nor there. The point is she didn’t owe us shit! So let’s stop throwing around words like “gaslighting” when it comes to people that haven’t even had a conversation with us, and most likely NEVER WILL.
If you asked her in person if she was pregnant and she told you no, that’s still not gaslighting lol. Cause if you come back and say oh so you were pregnant, you lied. The response? Yes, I did lie. Because I didn’t feel like sharing that with you at the time. But now, yeah, obviously I was pregnant. Last I checked, a lot of your mothers, daughters, aunties, and cousins have done the same. For whatever their reasons, they have done the same. You’ve kept secrets for them. So how is this any different? Just cause she a celebrity yall feel so entitled and it’s ridiculous.
I blame it on the celebrities who do that shit tho. Who think they need to share everything, like that’s normal. Even to the point of announcing divorces and break ups. Like celebrity divorce announcements have always been the dumbest shit to me. Like I give a fuck about your shit relationship ending. Why is that shit on CNN? We talk more these days about their personal lives than their actual projects and creative endeavors. These days, the people are more so the commodity, versus what they actually sell, create, or provide and it’s sad. Anyway, I digress.
Can I just say this before I leave? If we gonna give Rihanna praise for changing the maternity game, and showing us how to style a pregnant belly on full display. Let’s give Halle credit for showing us how to style a pregnant belly you don’t want to showcase or flaunt, but still look stylish and sexy. Cause every outfit and dress she wore throughout her whole pregnancy was spot fucking on! Her stylist understood the assignment!

“Just let me go. Please, I want to leave.” unless it's too close to your Dirty Tissues ideas!!
I'm sure I can come up with a new variation just for you anon lfdkjdg angst abound!!!
Pick an angst prompt, any angst prompt!!!
"Just let me go. Please, I want to leave."
Chloe twisted as she pursed her lips, eyes full of tears as she looked up at the camera pointed at her, wrists bruising as she pulled against the metal cuffs keeping them pinned above her head.
“Just let me go.” Chloe whimpered, knowing that she was being watched by the person on the other side of that camera, “Please, I want to leave.”
She pulled at the metal again, hot tears starting to run down her cheeks, desperation and fear coursing through her, “Please, please, I’ll do whatever you want, just let me go.”
Chloe’s head turned as she looked around her, biting her lip as she tried to figure out where she was and how to get out of here. It was a small room, tiny really, only just enough room to stretch out her legs, the metal walls around her plain and non-descript, unable to figure out how she’d gotten in here in the first place, there was no door. It wasn’t a particularly well lit room, a camping lamp near her feet not enough to illuminate more than a few inches over her head so she couldn’t see the ceiling, but she had a feeling it wasn’t that high. The floor under where she had been forced to sit was cold, her ankles had been tied together too, and her head hurt, probably from being hit.
She’d been getting ready to go and see Beca perform solo, her big break with DJ Khaled so she could go off and be the most amazing producer and artist that the world had ever seen. Chloe had been so excited for her, even after being held hostage by Amy’s dad and almost blown up on a boat, Chloe had been so excited that she had hugged Beca perhaps a little too tightly before rushing to change.
And then... then she’d woken up here, feeling groggy and confused, and then frightened and panicked as she found herself tied up with a camera pointing at her.
What the hell was going on?!
-----
“Beca!” Beca’s head turned to find Amy rushing towards her, grumbling softly albeit good naturedly as she was pulled into a bone-crushing hug, “You aca-rocked it!”
“Thanks Ames.” Beca hugged her back, trying to ignore the pit in her stomach.
Tonight had been good. Amazing even. She’d been signed by DJ Khaled, still gotten to perform with her family, given the best performance of her life, it had been objectively amazing... so why was she feeling so sad?
“We’re so proud of you.” Aubrey pulled Beca into a hug as Amy released her, “You were amazing Beca, really.”
“Thanks.” Beca mumbled against her shoulder, “Um... did you check on Chloe?”
“I did...” Aubrey frowned a little as she pulled back, swallowing thickly as she pulled a piece of paper out of her back pocket, “This was on her bed. Her stuff is gone.”
Beca’s hands were shaking a little as she took it from Aubrey, hating the way her stomach knotted as she did. She opened the note, feeling tears well in her eyes as she read it.
“Right...” She mumbled, clearing her throat a little as she crumpled it, shoving it into her pocket, “Chloe... she went back to New York. So, who wants to take me out and get me absolutely wasted to celebrate my big break?”
“Come on.” Aubrey wound her arm around Beca’s shoulders, “Let’s get some tequila in you.”
Beca nodded, throat feeling thick as she swallowed the lump in it, head down to keep the tears burning in her eyes hidden from her friends. Chloe had just... left? It was okay, if Chloe didn’t love her back, if she regretted that kiss, then it would’ve been okay. They were still friends, they could still be best friends even if Chloe didn’t love her like that. They could’ve talked about it, but Chloe had just left instead?
“It’s okay.” Aubrey whispered, the other Bellas having ran ahead, laughing and joking as they went in search of a bar, “I’ll talk to her, get her to come find you. But it’s okay for you to be sad about it.”
“I don’t want to be.” Beca’s voice was tight as she lent in Aubrey a little, hastily wiping at her cheeks, “Not tonight. I don’t want to be feeling any kind of way about this tonight, it- it was my big break Bree, why couldn’t she have just been there for that?”
“I don’t know.” Aubrey sighed, shaking her head. She was the only one who knew what had transpired between Chloe and Beca before the show, “It’s not like her to just run away. I’ll get the bottom of it Becs, you just try and enjoy tonight, okay?”
-----
Chloe pulled her knees close to her chest, shivering at the cold temperature in the tiny room she was in, throat raw from crying and pleading with the camera pointed at her to let her go. She’d probably missed Beca’s performance, she’d be so mad at her... Chloe wanted to be there for it, wanted to tell Beca how proud she was of her, how amazing she was, how much she loved her. Because one brief, interrupted kiss wasn’t enough, Chloe had to tell Beca that it wasn’t enough that she wanted so much more, that she’d been so stupid to keep it to herself for so long...
How had she had ended up being kidnapped twice in one day? The first time, she’d had her family, it had been scary but also comforting to have the people that loved her, that she knew would protect her and vice versa around her. Now though, now she was alone and cold and scared... who had done this to her?
“Please...” Chloe croaked, head resting on the wall behind her, bottom lip trembling, “What do you want from me?! I just want to go home...”
Chloe started to sob as she pulled herself into the smallest ball she could manage, head resting on her knees as her shoulders ached from the uncomfortable position she was in. The Bellas would know she was missing right? Beca would. Beca would know she would never miss her debut performance, not for anything in the whole world. But would they even know where to look for her? God, she didn’t even know where they’d look for her, the longer she was trapped here, the more she was convinced that this wasn’t a room. It was small and cramped and made of metal, what if it was a box? Someone had put her in a box, she could be anywhere, she could be on another boat in the middle of the ocean for all she knew, how were they going to find her?
“Beca...” Chloe mumbled through her tears, “Please, just let me go back to Beca, or tell her I’m sorry for missing her performance, something, anything, please just let me talk to her...”
-----
Beca sighed heavily as she leant against the bar, rubbing at her forehead as she ordered another beer. She’d tried to enjoy her night, her big break, but there was something missing without Chloe here. How could she enjoy this without having her here, without Chloe drunkly clinging to her and telling her she was so proud, and so happy, getting all up in her personal space and hugging her so tight that Beca lost circulation in half her body.
“Hey, you look more than a little glum Beca, what’s the matter?”
Beca turned her head to find the turtle guy that had been following her around since the start of the USO tour leant on the bar next to her, frowning softly as she tried to remember what he was called. She probably should remember his name, he did technically work for her now...
“Nothing.” Beca shrugged, sipping the beer that had been set in front of her, “It’s a great night, I’m so happy this happened, it’s my big break.”
“I know sarcasm when I hear it.” Theo laughed softly, “C’mon, what’s eating at you?”
“Chloe left before my performance...” Beca mumbled, looking down at the bar, vulnerable thanks to the amount of alcohol she had, “She... she would never have missed it, at least I didn’t think she would’ve but... she’s gone.”
“I’m sorry.” Theo frowned a little, “That sucks Beca, she can’t be much of a friend if she left before the biggest night of your life.”
“I guess not...” Beca huffed, “Gee you think you know a girl after five years, countless acapella tournaments and sharing a sofa bed.”
“You’ll forget all about her once we get on tour.” Theo smiled softly at her, “Trust me, we’ll be so busy you won’t have time to think about anything else.”
“Great.” Beca nodded, “I can do avoiding the issue, I’m practically an expert at it.”
Theo chuckled as he signaled the bartender, ordering a shot for the two of them, sliding one over to Beca, “A toast, to your brand new, highly successful career.”
“And to apparently weeding out toxic friends.” Beca forced a smile as she clinked her shot glass with his.
-----
“And to apparently weeding out toxic friends.”
Chloe’s heart was breaking as she tugged furiously at the restraints holding her, weeping as she tried to free herself. There was a speaker somewhere in this tiny box she had been left in, and Chloe could hear Beca talking to that creep that had been following her throughout the tour, the one that gave her a bad feeling... Theo. It was Theo. Was he the one who had done this to her?
She’d heard the whole conversation, heard that Beca thought she’d left, why would she think that? Beca thought she was gone, someone had made it look like she’d chosen to leave and now... now she’d never come looking for her, none of them would, not until it was way too late and she was...
“I didn’t leave.” Chloe sobbed, shaking her head furiously, “I didn’t leave Beca, I wouldn’t... I wanted to be there so bad...”
“You look like you’ve had a few too many of those... how about I get you out of here, let’s get you back to your hotel room.”
Chloe bit her lip, hating the idea that Beca was going to be alone with Theo. After all, it had to have been him that had done this to her, he had to have been the one that stopped her going tonight. Why else would she be able to hear him talking to Beca?
“I swear to god, if you touch her, I will kill you.” Chloe spat, writhing against the cuffs holding her, “They’ll find me Theo, you’ll be so dead when they do, they’re going to find me!”
Chloe could hear him chuckling, knowing that he was, in part at least, laughing at her.
“Whoa, steady there Beca. Are you okay?”
“M’fine. Just... a little tired. Can you take me back to the hotel?”
“Of course I can, c’mon.”
“Wait... I need to tell my friends...”
Chloe could hear the slur in Beca’s voice, her heart pounding in fear as she tugged furiously at her restraints, determined to get the hell out of here so that she could get Beca away from him. Theo was going to do something to her, Chloe could feel it in her bones. Beca was drunk, and vulnerable, and it was her fault for not being there tonight...
No. This wasn’t her fault, it was Theo’s fault. He was the one that had hit her, and kidnapped her, and was now making her listen as he took advantage of Beca when she couldn’t do a damn thing to stop him.
“I’ll come back and tell them once I’ve gotten you back safely, I promise.”
Like hell he would. Theo was isolating her, dammit Chloe had to get out of here, wherever here was she had to get out and go and help Beca. It didn’t matter if her wrists were throbbing, or that she could be god knows where, Beca was in danger and she had to help her.
“Leave her alone!” Chloe screamed, fighting harder than she ever had in her life, tears pouring down her face again, “Leave her alone Theo!”
“It’s okay Beca... you just sleep if you need to. I’ll get you back to your hotel room, and then we can have all the fun we couldn’t have because of that ginger pitbull.”
Chloe’s heart was threatening to leap out of her chest as she realised that Beca must be barely conscious if Theo was practically confessing to her. Beca was in so much trouble, she had to stop this.
“Chloe...”
Her heart broke as Beca slurred her name, breathing erratic and panicked as she felt something in her right wrist snap, but still she kept struggling.
“Did... did you do something to her?”
“I did it for us Beca. Don’t worry, I put her somewhere that she could never bother us again. She’ll be in the Middle East before anyone realises she’s missing, and by then she’ll be the play thing of some oligarch.”
Chloe could feel panic taking hold of her, the Middle East? Just where the hell was she?
“Thanks.”
Chloe gasped softly as she heard Beca’s voice again, all hints of a slur gone. Wait... what was happening?
“Did you really think I wouldn’t notice you putting something in my drink asshole?”
There was a grunt of pain and the sound of someone being dragged as Chloe bit down on her lip so hard she drew blood. Was that Beca? Or was it Theo, had he hurt her?!
“Chicago, did you get that?”
Chloe’s head thunked softly back against the metal behind her, whimpering in relief. Beca was okay, more than that, she had been playing him the whole time. She was so smart, Beca knew exactly what she was doing, she knew that something was wrong when Chloe hadn’t shown up. All she had to do now was find her.
“Yeah... yeah I have his phone, he’s got some kind of camera on her I... I don’t know if she can hear me, but I see her.”
Chloe’s eyes snapped open again from where they had fluttered open, looking right into the camera as she nodded furiously.
“I can hear you Becs. I can hear you, are you okay?!”
“Wait... I think she can. Hang on, let me... let me turn the volume up on this thing.”
Beca’s voice was thick with tears, Chloe forcing a soft smile onto her face as she tried to adjust the pressure of her throbbing right wrist.
“Becs?”
“Chloe... oh my god, are you okay?”
Chloe’s eyes closed slowly as she nodded a little, “I’m okay. I’m okay, did he hurt you? I could hear everything, he-”
“No, I’m fine, I promise. Fuck Chlo, I... I’m sorry, I had no idea he’d do something like this... just hold on okay? Me, the Bellas, and the army, we’re on our way, we... we’re going to find you Chloe, I swear.”
“I know.” Chloe whispered, sniffing softly, “I know you will... will you keep talking to me? I- I’m kind of claustrophobic, I don’t want to be alone in here anymore.”
“Of course I will. You are about the only person I know that could get herself kidnapped twice in the space of twenty four hours, you know that Beale?”
Chloe giggled softly, nodding, “Yeah... just my luck huh?”
-----
Beca was watching tearfully as Chloe shifted in the metal box she was in, jaw clenched as the Humvee she was in rumbled quickly for the docks. Given all the information that Theo had blabbed when he was feeling cocky, plus the little they could see from the camera he’d set up (seriously what kind of sick freak was he?), they’d figured out that Chloe was most likely somewhere at the shipping docks. No boats had left since Beca had last seen Chloe, but there were several large shipping boats scheduled to leave in the next hour, so they had to get there quickly.
She had been talking to her the whole way there, feeling so much guilt that Chloe was in this position. It was her fault, she was the reason that Theo had put her in a metal box and chained her up, that she was so scared even though she was trying so hard to hide it, that she was in danger of being shipped off to god only knew where. Beca had to find her.
“Dammit...” She mumbled as Theo’s phone beeped in her hands, “No, no...”
“Becs? What’s wrong? Can you not find me?”
Beca bit her lip, “No it’s not that, Theo’s phone is dying... Chloe I’m going to end up cutting in a minute, but I’m still coming, okay? We’re so close, I swear, I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”
“I don’t want you to go...”
“I know.” Beca swallowed thickly as Chloe whimpered, “I don’t either, but it won’t be for long Chlo, we’re pulling up now.”
“Becs, I-”
The phone died in her hands, Beca swearing under her breath as it did. Dammit...
“Beca we’re here.” Chicago turned to look at her, “Did it die?”
“Yeah.” Beca nodded, “C’mon, let’s go find her.”
“Beca, you can’t-”
“If you think you’re going to stop me coming and looking for her, you’re out of your damn mind.” Beca snarled, Chicago holding up his hands.
“Alright. But you stick with me.” He conceded, climbing out of the car.
“I will if you can keep up with me.” Beca mumbled darkly, running forward into the shipping yard with Chicago on her tail.
“We narrowed it down to these containers on the left.” He easily kept pace with her, “But there’s thirty five of them and we only have forty minutes to search them all.”
“Fuck.” Beca shook her head, “Chloe! CHLOE!”
She knew it was a long shot, but if Chloe could just hear then maybe...
“CHLOE!”
Beca shot a grateful look over her shoulder as Chicago seemed to cotton on to her idea, the group of soldiers with them and the Bellas spreading out and doing the same thing.
“CHLOE!”
She had to find her.
-----
Chloe sniffed softly as the light at her feet started to flicker and fail. Beca was gone now, she’d tried to talk to her a couple of times but had gotten no response. She’d said they were close, they were going to find her right?
Chloe lifted her head as she heard the loud honk of a boat horn, letting out a soft sob. Oh no... were they too late? She was going to be shipped out of here wasn’t she? Beca wasn’t going to find her, she was going to end up lost forever and-
“CHLOE!”
She gasped softly, head whipping around her. That was Beca... she was close, she was here.
“Beca?” She whimpered softly. Dammit, there was no way she’d hear that, c’mon Chloe...
“BECA!”
“Sh, shut up, did you hear that?”
Beca was so close... Chloe just had to shout a little louder.
“BECA!”
“This way. C’mon soldier boy, move your ass!”
Chloe giggled softly, tearfully as she heard the sound of scuffing, as if Beca was moving something heavy. God, she had to be careful, she’d hurt herself if she wasn’t...
“Chloe? Chloe are you in here?”
“Becs...” Chloe wept softly, “Beca I’m over here.”
“There, that metal box, jesus... Chlo I’m right here okay? There’s a padlock, Chicago’s gone to get some bolt cutters, but I’m here.”
Beca’s voice was right next to her head, Chloe whimpering as she pulled a little at her handcuffs again.
“I’m right here, I’m not going anywhere, if they want to ship you off before he gets back then I’m coming with you, okay?”
Chloe giggled a little, sniffing as she leant back into where Beca’s voice was coming from, “Okay Becs. I’m glad you’re here. I don’t think you’ll like the Middle East though, you know how easily you burn.”
Chloe could hear Beca laughing, “Yeah that’s a good point... they’ll sell sunscreen there though right? That or I’ll just go outside at night, I’ll become nocturnal.”
There was more noise outside of the box, Chloe unable to help the scared sob that left her mouth, hearing Beca shush her softly.
“Chlo it’s okay, it’s Chicago with the bolt cutters. We’re getting you out now, just a few more seconds.”
There was a thud against the box, Chloe wincing as light assaulted her eyes, feeling someone leap into the box with her, cupping her face in her hands.
“Chloe, it’s me, you’re okay, I got you.”
Chloe’s eyes fluttered open again, sobbing again as her eyes met Beca’s, pulling at the cuffs around her wrists and letting out a soft yelp as it made her right throb even sharper.
“Sh...” Beca shook her head a little, brushing away the tears on Chloe’s cheeks while barely holding back her own, “Chicago’s just about to get them off for you, just hold still Chlo.”
“I knew you’d know I didn’t mean to miss it.” Chloe pressed her face into Beca’s hands, “I’m sorry I didn’t make it...”
“It’s okay.” Beca grinned a little as she shook her head again, watching as Chicago quickly cut through the metal around her wrists, “They’ll be plenty more for you to see Chloe. Let’s get you out of here huh?”
Now her wrists were free, Chloe threw her arms around Beca’s neck, sobbing heavily as she buried her face in her neck, Beca hugging her back tightly as Chicago cut the zip tie around Chloe’s ankles.
“I’ve got you.” Beca mumbled into her hair, letting a few of her own tears slip down her cheeks, “I’ve got you Chlo, you’re okay now. I’m not going to let anyone hurt you ever again, I promise.”
Chloe didn’t say anything, just sobbed as Beca gently rocked her in her arms, stroking her hair. It was okay. Beca had found her like she knew she would. It was all going to be okay now.
“Chlo...” Beca sniffed softly, “Let’s get you out of here so the paramedics can check you out, can you stand?”
“Um...” Chloe lifted her head a little, “Maybe? I think so?”
Beca gently helped Chloe get to her feet, letting her lean against her as they climbed out of the box, gently brushing her hair from her face and frowning at the cut on her head.
“Did he do that?”
“Yeah.” Chloe nodded a little as they walked slowly out of the shipping container, one of Beca’s arms tight around her waist as she rested her head in the crook of her neck, “But it’s okay. It doesn’t hurt that much anymore.”
“I’m sorry.” Beca sighed, shaking her head a little, “This is my fault, I didn’t know-”
“Hey.” Chloe stopped in her tracks, frowning as she turned to Beca, “No it’s not. This is Theo’s fault, not yours.”
“I should’ve known.” Beca’s jaw was tight as another tear slid down her cheek, “His face when he caught us kissing, I should’ve...”
“It’s not your fault.” Chloe shook her head, her left hand cupping Beca’s cheek, “It’s really not your fault Becs.”
Chloe gently pressed her lips into Beca’s, not caring that it made her bottom one throb from where she’d bitten it too hard. She just wanted to kiss her, to make sure that Beca knew that it was okay, that it wasn’t her fault, that she didn’t blame her, that...
“I love you.” Chloe whispered as she pulled away, “I meant to say that earlier, before we got interrupted, I love you Beca.”
“I love you too.” Beca nodded a little, forehead pressed against Chloe’s, “Let’s get you checked out Chlo, I want to know you’re okay.”
Chloe smiled softly as she lent into Beca again, walking with her in the direction of the waiting ambulance, able to see the Bellas waiting eagerly to see her nearby.
“How did you know it was Theo?”
“That was all Posen.” Beca smirked a little, “She got a bad vibe off him, and she pointed out that the timing of it was weird from the time that he caught us to you vanishing. Plus, the note that you ‘wrote’? Please. I’ve been trying to decode your hastily written notes for me for years, I knew it wasn’t your handwriting.”
“He left a note?” Chloe frowned, “What did it say?”
“I’m sorry. I don’t like you like that. Gone home to NYC.” Beca shrugged, feeling a swell of anger inside her again, “Once I’d gotten over myself enough, I realised it didn’t sound anything like you.”
Chloe just shook her head a little, a sick feeling in her stomach as she realised just how lucky she was that her friends had figured everything out. If they hadn’t...
“We were never going to let anything happen to you Chlo.” Beca seemed to read her mind as she kissed the top of her head, “No way. I’d have never stopped looking for you.”
“I know.” Chloe nodded, her sore wrist held against her chest as she sniffed, “And that’s why I love you.”
