-full name Giovanni Morningstar, both of them chosen rather than given. Ooc I chose Giovanni because he is actually vaguely based on my pc from a different ttrpg, and that characters middle name is Giovanni. And Morningstar is a reference to The Devil. like from the bible dksgsjhd

-his divine blood specifically comes from Sharess, goddess of hedonism and indulgence that vanished when dnd 5e came out during the second sundering . So it is no surprise he is motivated almost entirely by hedonism

-he does not know this.

-he’s definitely not her only descendant but he’s her only descendant that inherited any of her magic

-he was not always a tiefling

-he didn’t always have access to his divine magic

-the previous two points were sparked by the same event

-he was born in waterdeep! Not baldurian but gets around enough to know some things

RPG Role Analysis Series #10 - Dragon Quest VI

So, I just finished Dragon Quest VI, and I have some thoughts. It exhibits both good and bad class design philosophies, in my opinion, but ultimately does not work overall (to be clear, I mean the class system, which I am taking a look at, not the entire game).

DQVI has a vocation system, which means any character can be assigned any job, but each character also has inherent traits that strongly suggest a role for them. I like this generally. I liked it in Final Fantasy X when each party member had access to the same Sphere Grid, but with different starting positions such that is takes more effort to make, say, Lulu something other than a black mage.

While I tend to prefer RPGs where characters have their own role that is informed by the character, as well as RPGs with class systems where you fully define your own party and their roles, for RPGs with defined characters, I prefer it not to be completely open, even if their roles are extremely flexible, but I want their personality and design to suggest something in terms of their gameplay. This is why, as brilliant as Final Fantasy VII is, I do feel that the materia system allows you to turn any character into anything, with only minor differences regarding stats and Limit Breaks, and I prefer FFVI and FFIX where characters have a job. X felt like a great compromise, where you could jump all the way across the skill tree, but there were limited opportunities to do so.

So, in theory, I like that DQVI has party members gain abilities on level-up, distinct from their chosen vocation, that the equipment they have access to is tied to the character, not the job (also makes reorganizing equipment on a vocation change convenient), and of course their stats are different. So, the characters themselves have enough to suggest a role, and then you put another one on top of it.

My problem is this: the game's abilities are imbalanced because some really necessary abilities are spread across multiple jobs such that each character really needs to master multiple to beat the game. With the exception of Carver, who stayed my main damage dealer, I did not feel my party had distinct identities by endgame, but instead all needed access to a full-party heal spell (either Hustle Dance or Multiheal), access to revival (Kazing), and reliable damage. Also, charatcers get abilities that exist within vocations by level-up, which suggests that's their role, and their stats match, but taking the vocation is technically redundant because they do not learn the same ability twice, and barring Carver's Double Up and a plot-related spell for Ashlynn, character abilities are pretty quickly overshadowed.

The vocation tree looks like this: You have to master multiple basic jobs in order to combine them and get the corresponding advanced job. Theres's a cycle of 4 basic jobs (Warrior/Martial Artist/Priest/Mage) That each combine with two possible neighbours to make a cycle of 4 more advanced classes, but each has 1 member in the cycle it cannot combine with. There are two separate mini-trees (Gadabout + Dancer = Luminary) and (Thief + Monster Master + Merchant = Ranger) that have nothing to do with that cycle, and don't offer an easy pivot to anything within it. Hero is a special job that is accessible by anyone if they master Luminary, Ranger, Sage, and Gladiator, which means they have to master 13 jobs first (that won't happen). However, the main protagonist can become a Hero by only mastering one of these advanced jobs. You keep all of the abilities from any job, so advanced jobs are just fully combined skill lists of the previous jobs, plus whatever you get from the new class, but Hero can be a bit different depending on what path the protag took to get there. There are also two special monster classes that are accessible via an item, but have no class prerequisites.

Combining classes is really cool, but there's a few issues with doing it this way. Keeping prereq class abilities means every class in the cycle overlaps a third of it's skill list with another class, and another third with a different class. For example, for Sage, you have all the Priest skills, but so does the Paladin, and the Armamentalist has all of your Mage skills. If you master an advanced class, that's 3 (2 basic, 1 advanced done), but you can pivot within the cycle by doing less in the future, just by going around it. For example, the Sage can take Martial Artist and then Paladin and then if they master Warrior later, they unlock 2 advanced classes at once. However, switching between the cycle and either Ranger or Luminary trees, or between those two offers no contribution to their advancement. Ranger, for some reason, takes the most effort even though it's one of the worst classes. If you invest 4 vocations masterings into Ranger, there's no easy way to pivot out. Luminary is good, but you also kind of require one or two for Hustle Dance, except that you probably also want them to be Sages because that's where you get Multiheal and Kazing, (not strictly exclusive) Magic Barrier and Oomph.

Sage has so many key healing and buffing spells, 3 out of 4 of my frontline party took Sage. The exception was Carver, and he carried DPS the whole game with Double Up, which makes every other physical attack skill basically obsolete. This is one case where an inherent trait of a character gives them a distinct role. Carver doesn't need a Paladin vocation to learn Double Up, so he could use it early, and I could keep him a Gladiator, and then a Dragon later. However, Double Up, while being obscenely strong, also makes the user go first, every time, so there was no reason to use anything else for damage. If I wanted others with good Strength to use it, they had to be Paladins, But also Sages, such that all my magic users were Luminary/Sages and my more physical characters were Paladin/Sages (+1 Hero). Falcon Slash felt like a compromise, and some multi-hit abilities were interchangeable. This is in a game where party members easily get 8 pages of abilities to flip through in battle. Unfortunately, this results in very little class diversity, but it's kind of demanded by the sheer frequency of heavy mass-party attacks in the late game. There's just a set of skills that most of your party needs, and it's spread all over the tree.

I honestly thought I was going to pick apart the classes individually when I started this post, but I think I had too much to say about why the system as a whole makes them blend together. I think there's a better game in here, and I'm hoping it's DQVII, which uses the same system. Right now I've started DQIX, which has very different vocations.

Q. Do I have to do all 31 days?

Participate as much or little as you like! Just be sure to tag your posts properly (ex. #no.14, #underpressure). If you post works for 31 total theme days you will become a completionist. But apart from that, there are no repercussions if you don’t fill prompts for each day.

Q. Can I post early/late?

Yes, you can post whenever you want. We will only reblog posts during October, but you can use our prompts all year round. The day you post will only affect your probability of being reblogged.

Due to the sheer number of content posted during Whumptober we can’t promise to reblog every single post. We will make a random selection trying to capture a wide variety of content. The following will increase your chances at being reblogged:

One continuous story is fine. The challenge is to write something for 31 prompts. If that’s spread over 31 fics or just one, you are still considered a completionist. (The same goes for every other media you choose.)

3.6 is about done, so here are the end results:

On my main, I went from 20 pity to 65 pity to get C0 Kaveh. I have 240 rolls left, plus about 6K primos. Nothing notable, though I did manage to finish book farming and getting everyone to x/8/8 talents.

My goal is both Eula and Klee in 3.8, after which I’ll really only be looking for new Mondstadt characters, Gorou cons, and maybe some weapons. I guess I might consider C2 Albedo at a stretch. Other Mondstadt 5 star cons are, how to say, not really appealing to me.

On my alt... oh boy.

I decided to see how close I could get to C2 Baizhu. There’s no specific reason except that saving is boring, I need a stock of stardust, and I think it’s very funny that he starts proccing his skill from off-field. I keep forgetting to switch to him, so hey, it would be convenient.

Anyway, I’m going to pass on Alhaitham in 3.7, and 3.8 probably won’t have any men, so why not.

I got:

Diluc (good) at 76 rolls

Baizhu C0 at 78 rolls

Jean (useless) at 76 rolls

Baizhu C1 at 5 rolls

Keqing (useless) at 77 rolls.

4.0 is being sus leaked to have Childe, so that will be my next goal. With a bow, I will be unstoppable. (He’ll be largely useless otherwise, so he’s gonna get a Noblesse+Fav support build lmao)

Conveniently, my rolling priority now is Childe (bow) > Zhongli (survivability if needed, can phys dps, spare me from geo traveler) > Ayato (super flexible combat option) > Xiao (cute, anemo option, cool skill) > Itto (cow) > Thoma (burgeon) > Alhaitham (skill teleport I guess)

(if anyone wonders why Qiqi and Xiao are on the lists, it’s because I made a special exception for Qiqi as Baizhu’s ward. It wouldn’t be fair to separate them! I need a second healer And then I thought that we might as well bring Xiao too, though it’s largely because I ended up never really using him on my main and I want to.)

Thoma had been way higher before this patch, but I have Diluc for most pyro related things, and I remember from my main how hard it is to use Thoma’s shield and how bad his energy needs get at C0. He’s also a 4 star, so getting him at all might become an entire fiasco, to say nothing of cons. And of course, doing the pyro cube without Ayato is just not happening.

Alhaitham, Itto and Xiao are all in roughly the same category of having little to their kit aside from on field DPSing, which is not really useful since they also really want specific supports that my alt won’t have. Alhaitham ranks lower than the other two because I already have two dendro men, Kaveh can do a knockoff version of the same DPS role, and his boss is super annoying to fight.

3.7 has been remarked by everyone as looking super dry, but I will now have so much to farm on my alt... Kaveh artifacts, Kaveh Fav weapon mats, Qiqi artifacts, both their boss mats to max ascend... maybe even talent books if I’m feeling spicy, since they don’t use Mond book hell and Qiqi even uses Andrius, an accessible weekly boss.

OH I figured something out for my original Zelda story, Legacy of a Millenia

previously I wasn't sure how to structure the first half of the story (like a plausible reason for why we're dungeon hopping) so I was using this flimsy "bucket list" reason. AND I wanted to work in this revolution plotline throughout the whole story that heavily featured Impa, but I didn't have space for it.

SO, put these two problems together, and solve them both!!

The current monarchy is tyrannical and cruel, so Impa's secretly working against them while still acting as the leader of their secret police type thing (since we know that's what the Sheikah were used as in the past)(also don't worry this current monarchy is like fifth in the line of dynasties after Hylia's line was overthrown thousands of years ago). She's trying to organize a resistance, but she has her hands full with doing the jobs the government is giving her in order to keep their trust, helping the people she has access to, and trying to keep her family safe. So she doesn't have a lot of time to hunt up the other races (who are not recognized as independent governments) and organize a combined effort to replace the current government.

The idea is that at the turning point in the game when Shei dies, Impa is also overthrowing the corrupt government and replacing it with a council formed of representatives from each of the different Hylian cultures. (My problem is that I'm getting too realistic with economics and politics and trying to figure out what sort of characters should represent the races because they would have to have a good understanding of the social standing and needs of everyone in their society + wondering if i can get away with not setting up a separation of powers...............I have Thoughts about economy and government all right)

Well anyway during the first half of the game Impa is sending you as a member of her resistance to each race and getting you to understand them and their troubles and also scout out potential representatives for the council for the new ruling body of Hyrule. And whoopsie it looks like each race she sends you to happens to have a problem caused by Ganon that only you can fix thereby winning their trust and also fulfilling your purpose as the Link of all of Hyrule and checking another box on the zelda game checklist-

Sorry hhh uh so yeah that's the engine for the first half and then the second half is the quest to hunt down all the pieces of the goddess-blood essence so you can confront Ganon (no im not sure where he is or what he's doing this whole time shh im figuring it out), but interspersed with this would be a bunch of other quests to help integrate the new government and right the wrongs the old one did.

One of my plans for those quests is convincing and contributing towards getting a bunch of Hylians to move off of the land that was the Sheikah's before Hylia's line got overthrown. Like talking to and cajoling a bunch of farmers to leave for the Very Convenient And Happy Farmland you found in your travels (yes i KNOW thats an easy solution but i am only very small and this is a very big problem i think i can be forgiven for using a cop-out).

so now I have the two plotlines tentatively outlined (with a bunch of missing pieces obv) and that makes me very happy

So lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of people talking in my tags about how they don’t know where to start reading comics or about how it’s really hard to access them to begin with. Which is completely understandable, especially if you’re looking to get into DC or Marvel, and why I made the following cheat sheet for anyone who is potentially interested:

To preface this, I’ll begin by saying that there is no right way to “begin” reading comics. Both DC and Marvel are continuity franchises; meaning that the start of their timelines originates all the way back to their first publications in the late 1930s. That is to say, each and every character has a history that spans decades with literally thousands of interconnecting appearances in hundreds of different series. It doesn’t help that writers like to reference these past arcs under the assumption that the reader already has this prior knowledge.

It is unreasonable for a beginner to go through—much less want to—read all of this. And because of that, any comic you start off with will inevitably have tie-ins to events, arcs, or characters that you’ll probably know jack-shit about. There is unfortunately no way around that. However, it’s incredibly easy to get into the flow of things, and mainstream comics are genuinely worth your investment into them despite how confusing they can be at times.

That’s what this guide is ultimately for. It’s an easily digestible, detailed starting point for any beginner reader with a lot of information that you might not otherwise find out about for a long time.

TERMINOLOGY:

Yes, I’m giving you vocab. A lot of these words are basic in concept but are necessary to know when discussing comics. You should have at least a basic understanding of what these words are referring to. For convenience’s sake, they will be listed in alphabetical order.

Annual: An oversized special of a particular comic series that is released once a year.

Continuity: Refers to a select period of time within the publishing record.

Ex: The New 52 era from 2011 to 2016 is considered a continuity.

Floppies: Slang term for issues. Usually only used when referring to the physical copy of an issue.

HC: An acronym for “hardcover”. Refers to a collected edition in a hardcover format.

Issue: The “chapters” of a comic series.

Ex: issue #5 refers to the fifth installation of a particular series.

Mini-series: A comic that has a set number of issues. Can also be referred to as a limited series.

Omnibus: Large hardcover collections.

One-shot: A large single-issue comic book.

Ongoing: A series that is currently being published.

Reboot: Ends a continuity in order to recreate its characters, plotlines, and backstories from the beginning.

Ex: Crisis on Infinite Earths, the New 52, and Rebirth are all reboots.

Retcon: When a past event is changed retroactively without a reboot.

Ex: Bucky Barnes’ backstory was retconned so that instead of dying, he was brainwashed.

Run: A consecutive string of issues as written by a singular author.

Ex: Mark Waid’s time of the Flash is referred to as “Waid’s run”.

TPB: An acronym for “trade paperback”. Refers to a collected edition in a paperback format.

Variant: An alternative cover of an issue.

There are also four distinct comic eras that you may see being referenced. These eras are organized depending on both their publishing date and their writing style. While it is not strictly necessary for you to know the exact details, here is their chronology regardless:

Golden Age (1938-1956)

Silver Age (1956-1970)

Bronze Age (1970-1985)

Modern Age (1985-Present Day)

Included below are the three resources that I personally use on a frequent basis. While this is applicable for me, keep in mind that there are other websites that you can and will use. For example, you might google a reading list for a more concrete look at a character or arc, or you might search up a term on Wikipedia. It really depends on what you’re looking for.

This website is the number one pirating website when it comes to comics. Despite your opinions of piracy, the fact of the matter is that this is the easiest way to access comics and read them at no significant cost to yourself. Though please remember to put on an ad-blocker before you start.

dcuguide.com

This website is a fan-run index of all things DC. It sorts character appearances chronologically or by publication date, has miniature biographies of each character, stores all published DC issues in its database, and much, much more. It’s a lifesaver.

cmro.travis-starnes.com

Essentially the Marvel equivalent to dcuguide; it includes a list of chronological appearances for characters and arcs. However, I am told that it doesn’t have in-depth character biographies.

leagueofcomicgeeks.com

This website is an index where you can browse through all published issues of DC, Marvel, and assorted indie brands like Darkhorse, Image, and Valiant. What marks this website as a must-have, however, is its “New Comics” section, which marks the release date for all ongoing comics. Use this as a reference to when an ongoing comic is going to be updated or when a new comic will be released.

BUYING COMICS: THE DO’S, THE DON’TS, AND THE MAYBES

On the off chance that you’ll end up wanting to collect comics, this section will save you hundreds of dollars. I genuinely mean it: knowing where and which comics to buy is incredibly useful.

I’ll start with floppies. The easiest way to get floppies is at a local comic shop. Issues typically cost either $4 or $5 each depending on the comic that you’re buying. Rare variants can fetch high prices (I have one that is worth $15) and annuals and one-shots are typically somewhere in the $6 to $10 range. Comic shops also sell TPBs, HCs, and omnibuses, but what’s available in that regard will vary from shop to shop.

As for buying online, there are two stores that I can actually recommend to have good service: instocktrades.com and mycomicshop.com.

InStockTrades sells only TPBs, HCs, and omnibuses. Unfortunately, the available choices tend to lean more towards the esoteric and are missing a lot of collected editions. However, there is always a really good sale going on so you save a lot of money on what you do buy. Shipping takes a long time but it’s absolutely worth the wait, especially if you buy more than $50 for the free shipping.

In comparison, MyComicShop has a much wider selection and you can buy floppies. You can preorder for 35% off and there’s an auction for collectibles every week, alongside value packs and sales. Shipping is pretty pricey, but you have the guarantee it’s going to be quality.

There are other online shops I can name, but I have personally never used them and cannot attest to their service.

Word of advice: never, EVER buy directly from Amazon. The prices are ridiculously skewed and most of the comics you find there are damaged replicas, not to mention the shipping prices are horrendous. I exclusively used Amazon for the first few months of my collecting and trust me when I say that it has not done me any good. Amazon should be used as the last resort and even then, you should try looking on Ebay first.

You don’t need to know the CGC grading system for comics—that’s something you can research on your own if you ever want to—but remember that the typical standard for comics going from best to worst is Near Mint (NW), Very Fine (VF), Fine (FN), Very Good (VG), and finally Good (G). Typically, stores put these labels next to the comic to indicate what condition it’s in.

Now in regards to storing floppies, use bags and boards. They’re the best way to protect issues from wear-and-tear and are really, really cheap to boot. To use them, first insert the board into the bag. Make sure that both the larger flap of the bag and the glossy side of the board is facing you. That glossiness is to ensure that the back of your comic doesn’t bleed into the board. After inserting the board, just slide your comic in and bend over the flap to the back, where you then tape it down to seal the comic in.

Try watching Nerd Morning’s Youtube video titled “How to Properly Bag and Board Comic Books” as a reference. I understand that my explanation will be a bit confusing regardless of how I word it.

You don’t have to know this, but for the record, there are three different types of bags and boards: Golden, Silver, and Modern. All three are designed to fit different sizes as the shape of comics has changed over the decades. If you’re buying anything from, say, the 2000s and up, then stick with the Modern bags and boards. Buying online will sometimes give you the bag and board for free alongside your purchase, and if you’re buying local, you can always ask the workers there for clarification. The brand I personally use is called Hot Flips.

You do not need any protective material to store either TPBs or HCs. Some people chose to bag and board them regardless, but in my personal opinion, it always ends up looking a little bit stupid.

I can’t personally decide which you comics you’re going to read, but hopefully this cheat sheet will help make starting the process easier for you. Please have fun reading comics and try to enjoy the experience!

August would have one of these bad boys! Not only can it be used for play with the convenient stockades and jump rings for chains but theres he neat little cage below. A sunday of stuffing you full with toys whilst strapping you to your swing and swaying you until, you sing for him is a sunday well spent! Not only that but its a show piece, everyone knows exactly what its for and Napoleon loves to show it off, there's something about his guests knowing how kinky his little love bird is that gets his motor running~

Sherlock

Now speaking of fancy? This is the cream of the crop! Siege d'amore the comfy gilded sex chair used by kings! Sherlock has this tucked away in his office. He spends many hours working over his desk with you sprawled out over it open and 'accsessable' he likes to keep you there legs spread and pussy wet when he's working so he can 'fuck away the stress' and think clearly when he gets the urge. Which is pretty regular if you do say so yourself. Not that you mind, after all it is padded and the bottom bed area does allow for napping if you get exhausted whilst giving him easy access to your little slit even in slumber.

Okay i can't help it, I think walter would have a piece of dungeon furniture maybe a set? The man is in some dark shit. A hard dom with a capital D... or master with a capital M, not that he hasn't got the D becausethis man certainly does. And when its play time, its play time. He is practical and prone to changing his mind so would get something that is versatile, that can put you in any position that strikes his fancy. And with this bad boy? There are o many that he genuinely hasn't tested out all of them, and its not for lack of trying. He loves the fact that he can punish and reward you all on one handy little piece of furniture, though sometimes your unsure which? Because when Walt gets you on this thing you wont be getting off anytime soon... well thats debatable~

Now to say Sy was happy when he realised no one would bat an eyelash when he bought a padded saw horse to the ranch was a fucking understatement. Your spanking bench is his favourite thing on the entire ranch! And he had you on it as much as he could! Anything that kept you still and comfortable when he played with your glorious peach was perfect for him! Bent over, straddling, cuffed, tied down you name it! Sy was all over this thing- well he had you all over this thing~ and let's not get started on the fact he realised the front jump ring is to attach a collar to? Which was now used regularly to stop your squirming. Assuming the cm revival is still happening, here's a list of what I want in the revival and what would make it better:

Tara, Luke and Matt getting more screentime and decent characterization

No more Reid angst and unnecessary drama(*cough*15x06 & 15x10*cough*cough*)

Garcia being in the revival, whether she returns to the BAU or not, it would be nice to see what she’s up to whether it’s about her new job or date and relationship with Luke

Garvez, seeing the development of their relationship since the end of 15x10

Resolving the Garcia stalker storyline from 15x04, maybe Alexei Stanovich resurfaces and Garcia needs the BAU’s help to stop him. Maybe it’s also coincidental that he resurfaces the moment Garcia starts a relationship with Luke

Letting Paget go gray when playing Emily again. The crappy wig has got to go

Have the team struggle to adjust to Garcia’s departure, maybe a callback to 11x20 or 6x03 when Garcia walks past JJ and Morgan’s empty office. Maybe Emily, JJ or Reid walk past Garcia’s empty office, which was once filled with light and colors

Emily struggling to find a convenient replacement for Garcia, which is tough as Garcia is irreplaceable but the team are not able to complete cases without a technical analyst

Have a realistic timeskip, maybe a few years have passed since 15x10 and we see how much has changed since Garcia left and so much has changed

More friendship moments with the ladies(and yes, this also includes Tara)

More Luke and Tara friendship moments

Give Tara more to do, I mean she was the only one who didn’t have an episode in the final season and I felt that Aisha was underutilized in that season especially when she’s been on the show since season 11

Same thing also applies to Matt, sure he has gotten some focus in three episodes in the last season but he was still underutilized and characterization from cmbb was ignored. Kinda jarring especially when some of those writers came from cmbb

Assuming that the revival will continue and knowing that Daniel has commitments to another show, maybe give Matt a proper send-off, just don’t pull an NCIS. Leave it open ended incase he’s able to return

If they want to revisit past cases, maybe resolve the escaped prisoners storyline, the one with the Romani family in 4x13 or bring back the unsubs from Lo-Fi/Mayhem since we didn’t know much about them and their motives. The latter could also be beneficial for Tara, Luke and Matt since Tara can use her forensic psychology skills when it comes to profiling the unsubs, Luke being from the Bronx indicates that he has some familiarity with the streets in NY and Matt utilizing his tracking skills and connections

Since the revival will be on Paramount+, I’m hoping that means the revivial gets a decent budget. I’ve never seen any original series from Paramount+(CBS All Access then) but I notice from gifs and commercials that the quality of those shows look good and I’m hoping the same applies to the revival, which means better lighting and no more of that ugly yellow filter

I’m also hoping that means better quality in the writing, maybe get new writers that understand the characters and show well. Fire the writers who suggested Jeid

Better wardrobe, it seemed that the quality for the wardrobe aside from Garcia’s went downhill

Be more consistent and acknowledge the character’s ptsd. I hate how they have the characters act like things are suddenly alright after one episode

no more gross and creepy unsub like the guy seeing the goat man or cutting off faces like wtf?!

give the revival a tone similar to the early seasons. Use the early seasons as a reference

another episode like 15x04. Since the revival will focus on one case as opposed to the usual “case of the week” type, maybe there’s room for a breather episode, and we see the characters on their day off, a little break from whatever serious storyline

Let Rossi retire, honestly, he’s way out of his prime and it’s getting obvious that he’s too old to be going on the field especially when he got ambushed by Everett Lynch who is much younger than him. Honestly, the finale should have ended with Rossi retiring, especially as he’s been in the BAU since the beginning and it make sense that it ends with him leaving and moving on while the rest of the team move on without him

unpopular opinion, I think the show can last without Rossi/Joe

More Willifer moments and Katt moments. I’d also like to see Matt and Kristy taking care of baby Rose. I’d also suggest JJ and Matt bonding with their kids but that seems uncertain since depending on when the revival will be greenlit for production, there’s a chance that the kids grow out of their roles(JJ’s kids might not be that affected but Matt’s kids definitely will). Unless they either recast the kids(which isn’t uncommon for some shows) or have a timeskip which explains the kids being a bit older than in s15

Fix JJ’s character, I hate how the writers ruined her by making Jeid happen. AJ is a great actress and she cares about the character. Maybe have her interact with the newer team members, build up more of her friendship with Tara and Matt. I’m not sure how the writers can fix her characterization but I wished they push the whole Jeid storyline out and focus on her as a character

I’d love Hotch and Morgan to be mentioned or acknowledged, making it clear that the team still keeps in touch with them even though they’re no longer working for the BAU. Cameos would be nice but that depends on Shemar’s availability due to commitments to SWAT and the whole situation with Thomas during filming of s12

Guest appearances from other former characters would be nice but also unlikely since Gideon and Stephen are dead, Kate is mostly forgotten(plus Jennifer is on 9-1-1), and while Elle returning as an unsub would make an interesting storyline, it’s clear that Lola has no intentions on returning to CM(based on her IG stories)

seems like Blake, Jordan and possibly Seaver are the only likely candidates that have a better chance of returning as a guest but that depends on the actresses decisions and if the story allows it

Maybe learn from 15x05 since it was the highest rated episode, and has more ratings than the finale. Maybe the writers can learn from this and realized maybe they shouldn’t focus too much on Reid and Reid angst. There’s seven other characters, make the revival focus on all of them

An update of Reid’s personal life, if he and Max are still together, and no angst

Getting to see the new BAU Jet

More BAU family bonding moments, whether it’s them having drinks, eating dinner together or celebrating something like a Garvez engagement, Rossi’s retirement or Matt’s first book being published

Retaining the opening title sequence. It’s not CM without it

so maybe that's why you decided that it was okay to have a little more to drink tonight- to wander further from your friends into the wilderness. you could have one day to make a bad decision and face the consequences for it.

clubs were never your thing which was likely another reason why you were in this drought.

kitten. you shiver at the name. main characters in novels always turned into a giddy mess over the pet name, losing themselves to the velvety whispered promises and underlying possession. the name brought more of a thrill than anything else; to know that he had been watching you in the distance.

you fight the urge to turn, wanting to stay in the moment for as long as you could. for some reason, like this, you think you could become the person he thinks you are. someone who knows what she wants and doesn’t accept anything less. back at the bar, men asked you too many questions and allowed the opportunity for your insecurities to bleed through.

like this, you only needed to admit one thing.

its stupid and reckless. he could be a list of anything dangerous yet you advanced him to the top of the list. it was too early to tell but you hope he could be the one. then all of of the little details wouldn’t matter. you were here to lose your first time, not remember it.

you don’t expect him to use the grip on your hips to turn you, the sudden shift and lingering alcohol leaving you disoriented for a moment.

he was tall, though you had judged so from the reach it took to curl your fingers into his nape. the hair you had been blindly acquainted with turned out to be an unusual pale shade of pink. but it worked for him, and the interesting accompaniment of vermillion eyes. you were just starting to account the black lines of dark ink peeking from under his sleeve when his voice drew your attention back to his face.

his grin was telling. he wanted you to take him in because he knew you’d like what you saw. he doesn’t even need to ask. it was too early to tell if he was calling your bluff or enabling it.

he brings his mouth down to hover above yours, lips brushing as he speaks,”so your place or mine?”

this is what you needed, no thoughts beyond what your bodies could offer. this was the man who would take your virginity.

the first sign of hesitance you show is when offering your home. it was close enough to the campus and your neighbors would hear your scream if your ignorance turned out to be your undoing. he agrees, naturally, because why would he turn down a willing lay?

your fingers fumble quickly and shakily as you quickly text your friends that you’re bringing someone back. the answers vary from concern, to disbelief, to excitement and back to apprehension. ultimately, your roommates agree to leave the apartment to you for the night but vow to turn up first thing in the morning.

all the while, his hand is at the small of your back as he guides you towards the entrance. the icy cold air that hits you when you step outside is unkind to the thin sheen of sweat you’d accumulated. the price paid to look good rarely came cheap. the heat radiating from behind you was less of a comfort and more of a reminder as you shift from foot to foot in wait for a taxi.

“ names’ sukuna.”

it came as a jest rather than to inform. the way your eyes widen in realization proving that you’d skimmed over that step unintentionally. the men prior had offered it up without prompting as if it as their key trait in the introductions. while you’d grinded on this man for nearly two songs and hadn’t even thought to ask.

you stumble over your own name and his grin widens further.

he leans close enough for your visible breaths to mingle.

“you’re so fucking cute, kitten. i can’t wait to unwrap you.”

and then he was kissing you senseless.
