𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐒 — ꨄ
Tumblr media
featuring the demon brothers !!! — gn reader — my headcanons !!! — red text in brackets = spoilers , dw it’s very clear what the spoilers are for !!! + it’s only like one minor spoiler — wc. 1.4k
Tumblr media
ꨄ — lucifer : quality time
lucifer loves to spend time with you. this man canonically has separation anxiety mind you !!! he’d send you a random text like “come to the music room” after a long day, or he’d come up to you while you were spending time with the other brothers & tell ask you to go to his room tonight. you rush to his room, expecting to have an important and urgent conversation as he’d made it sound, only to find lucifer sitting on his sofa, a glass of wine in his unusually bare hand and another glass in front of the sofa across from him, as a calming tune plays on the music player.
if you mention the way he had made his request sound so urgent he’d simply say: “what? aren’t i allowed to spend time with my little lamb anymore?” a cheeky smirk plastered on his face.
you would end up talking to him for hours, and the next thing you know, he had somehow convinced you that walking to your room is too much for your little human body to bear this late into the night, so you found yourself warm in the comfort of his bed and his arms as you drifted off to sleep.
ꨄ — mammon : gift giving
what convinced me that mammon’s love language is gift giving is that one devilgram story (mammon at the office) where he worked his ass off to save up for a matching watch for mc ໒꒰ྀི o̴̶̷̤ ︹ o̴̶̷̤ ꒱ྀིა !!! the fact that he didn’t ask money from others like he usually does (apparent from how much debt he canonically has), ‘cuz he actually wants the gift to come from an authentic place !!! it makes it so much more meaningful <///3 and he thinks that the hard work is all worth it if it’s for you !!!
the way the first thing he thinks to do when he receives a batch of money is to take mc out on a date :( he would absolutely spoil you with anything you have your eyes on. you’d be hanging out with him, casually whining about that one thing you really want as you scrolled mindlessly through your phone. the next day, he’ll show up on your door with the exact thing in his hands !!! he def loves surprising u.
ꨄ — leviathan : quality time
levi’s favorite thing is holing up in his room and playing video games. but you rivaled against these, threatening to take their spot on the number one thing that he loves. but why deny himself both?
levi loves it when you come to his room & play games with him for hours. he used to be so used to being alone in his room, mindlessly playing the next video game he had bought. but now, his room would feel so empty without your presence in it.
it’s stupid and cringe, but levi never really cared about that sort of stuff, but you’re his player 2 !!! back then, he’d read summaries of different games. they piqued his interest. he was about to add it in his cart, before he realized it was a game that can only be played by two people. he was left disappointed before deleting the game out of his cart. he basically beamed when he realized that he can play those strictly co-op games he had to drop now that he has you. he immediately jumped to akuzon and bought every single co-op game he wanted to play but was never able to. and adding a few new ones too ! ໒꒰ྀི´ ˘ ` ꒱ྀིა
ꨄ — asmodeus : physical touch
this was a given. we all know that asmo’s love language is physical touch. he just can’t help it !!! whenever he sees you still sleepy in the morning, your hair so messy, he just has to give you headpats !!! it feels like a crime not to !!!
or whenever you two are out together. walking side by side. your hands would touch and i swear to you it would send electrical shocks from the tips of his fingers to his heart. yes, he seems to always have it together, but asmo’s good at performing, right? his heart would thump just from the littlest touches and he can’t help but to intertwine his fingers with yours, holding your hand in his, feeling it click! like a piece of a puzzle connecting. it might be dramatic, but asmo never denied his love for the dramatics, it’s just who he is.
or when you’re acting oh so obliviously and unintentionally cute. how can he not want to give you a tight hug? his feelings are so explosive that he feels like the closest thing that would do his feelings any justice is to let you feel it, literally. physically.
ꨄ — satan : words of affirmation / acts of service
oh satan the man that you are. satan is a textbook gentleman. he has a way with his words. very direct and shameless when it comes to his expression of his love for you. a romantic at heart, at least ever since he’d met you, that is. a romantic at his core, and he can’t think why he would ever hide that from you. it is your fault, after all.
he would flirt openly, and sappily, and he would not bat a single eye ! he’d write you letters, poems. if he were to gift you something, he’ll take the time to stick a sticky note on it, just a cute lil’ message on it ໒꒰ྀི⸝⸝o̴̶̷᷄ ·̭ o̴̶̷̥᷅⸝⸝꒱ྀི১ he’d give u books & when u open it, you’ll see them fully annotated. i’m talking written little stuff on the margins, color coded tabs / highlights & all !!!
ꨄ — beelzebub : acts of service
BEEL OUR SWEET BOY 💔 he will always ask you for what you want whenever he’s out in madame scream’s. he’d get u your favorite snack whenever he’s out in the convenient store.
if you get sick, or you’re having a bad day, he’d show up on your door with aaaall of your favorite food / snacks. he would put it neatly in a basket, and he’d be the person to make you a bowl of soup or even try to bake for you !!! anything to make you feel happy <3
he would absolutely give you amazing massages. beel is a big boy. & i trust he knows kinesiology & thus he’ll know what to do whenever your body is exhausted or isn’t really working with you. he’d be such a huge help, asking you just lay down so he could help you feel better. he’d even put a snack right beside you just in case! you’d feel ten times better after you feel his firm hands massaging your tense muscles. he’d note the way your body relaxes and melts onto his hands. seeing u feel good makes him v happy too. his big & rough hands, handling you so softly and cautiously. just a total teddy bear :(
ꨄ — belphegor : physical touch
people think asmo is clingy? wait ‘til they see how belphie clings to u whenever u two are alone. he will sleep on every part of your body (lol).
once, lucifer had insisted that belphegor actually try to study since finals are coming, and though his grades are not to be undermined, he should still at least study to be safe. belphie agrees, on the condition that you tutor him. so you do. you were studying together. the night was getting darker and you’d been studying for hours on end. you yourself was growing sleepy, so you couldn’t even blame belphie when his head started to sway and bump against your shoulder multiple times, before settling comfortably on it, nuzzling it beforehand.
it doesn’t even need to be a coincidence, he would just directly ask you to be his pillow (verbatim) because it’s the best way to sleep according to him. he would “borrow” your thighs, setting his head so cozily on your lap as if it was as comfortable as a pillow (or even more). or when you hung out with him and beel in their room. you ended up sleeping in his bed, you’ll be vast asleep when you felt something tickling your neck. sleepily opening your eyes, you’d find belphie’s head on your chest. and if you chose to sleep in beel’s bed? oh, he’d climb right up and slither his arms around your waist without saying a word. it was a little cramped, but how could you deny such an adorable gesture? the next day you wake up with his arms still right where it was when you had fallen asleep. his mouth snoring softly as his warm breath fans and tickles the back of your neck.
Tumblr media
a/n: ahhh i finished writing this at 3 am 😭😭😭 it’s storming really hard outside and my eyes are starting to hurt but it was rlly fun to finally write again :-) i hate writing / reading ooc characters so i hope i did your faves justice !!! 😭🙏🏼

What is this feeling, now?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hazbin hotel | Alastor x fem!reader. pt.1 pt.2
genre: fluff
word count: 0.9k
summary: Alastor has been feeling totally different when he's near your presence. He decided to tell Rosie about these odd feelings.
Keep in mind that English isn't my first language, i sincerely apologize for any mistakes!
Tumblr media
Once in a while, Alastor visited Cannibal Town to soothe his nerves and neverending thoughts. His mind wasn't that hard of a nut to crack, although sometimes it seemed nearly impossible to restrain.
And tonight might just be one of those terrible moments.
Alastor sat on his favorite, little bench in the quiet part of the town. He found this place really charming and beautiful, there's always been something warm and cozy here. with a bit of flowers and various little plants nearby, even tho he lived in hell, which meant that the fauna and flora wasn't as common as it is on the earth, it all truly looked quite lovely.
Somehow, this little bench has been the only thing that managed to let him think.
this time, the source of his problems was not anything that threatened his life. or at least it was so at the first glance. Why doesn't he understand his own feelings? The heat waves and annoying throbbing of his heart whenever he stands close to you.
Pathetic, ridiculous. What was it really like? Satan knows.
But Alastor apparently wanted to know what's been happening to him and put it to an end.
"Alastor? Oh heavens! I didn't know you were coming!" A woman dressed in red exclaimed happily, approaching him.
"Why hello, my dear Rosie! I should've let you know I'm bout to visit, but it was quite spontaneous." He chuckled mischievously.
"My, my, do not worry too much, I'm thrilled to see your charming self."
Rosie took a seat next to the radio demon, admiring the truly nice view.
"What brings you here?" She smiled softly, awaiting his answer but getting none. Alastor on the other hand, decided to tell his friend about his troubling 'disease'.
"Well, I always come here when i don't feel much like myself." he chuckled. "And today's the day it seems! I might be getting sick! Looks like my old age is finally taking its toll."
Rosie rises her eyebrow, her smile staying upon her face.
"Sick? Oh, Alastor, you've got the jokes on you! But what made you think you're sick?"
Alastor's grip on his cane tightened. "I've noticed that I was starting to get hot, sweaty and not very comfortable. My heart is beating unnaturally fast and my knees feel like they're made of cotton wool. This all happens whenever my friend is next to me. I'm probably allergic to her!" He laughed out loud to brush the symptoms off. Rosie's eyes enlightened, her smile even wider than her usual one.
"Alastor, you silly little guy," She giggled, immediately understanding everything. "You're not sick, nor allergic to your fellow friend! That's a nonsense."
"So what's happening to me?" He asked, tilting his head in curiosity.
You were about to finish your daily check up on the hotel before you go to bed. Everything looked fine and peaceful and all of your friends were asleep- except one.
You haven't seen Alastor in a while. Was he even somewhere near the hotel? He probably wasn't in any trouble, as cocky as he might be, his attitude wasn't made up at all. He was powerful and just the mere thought of it made your worries disappear.
However, you still had no idea where he was. You decided to look for him in the lobby, the first floor and the kitchen.
Nothing.
After you went to check the second floor, a glimpse of red, fluffy hair outside of the window caught your eye.
Soon, your friend has entered the lobby, closing the door behind him, using one of his shadows.
You ran up to him as soon as you saw his usual grin.
"Alastor? Where have you been? You.. You made me worry." You stated, fighting the urge to pull him into your arms without even letting go.
"I was having a walk around the town, my dear! My apologies if i made you worry your pretty, little head too much." He said in his signature radio voice.
Really? Just a walk around the town had lasted that long?
"Anyway, I'm glad you're here. Are you heading to bed?" You asked softly, maintaining your usual caring demeanor.
Alastor seemed to be somehow absent. You noticed his irises traveling along your silhouette, his hands lightly trembling as attached to his cane.
"Hey, you alright?" You asked, smiling a little. Alastor snapped outta his thoughts, chuckling nervously. "Of course I'm alright, darling! Why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know, you seem.. Odd." You lifted your head upwards and your eyes met with his. The furious red of his pupils caught your attention. Was he scared?
Alastor took you by the hand, lifting it all the way up to his lips. He let out a soft laugh, planting a long kiss upon your knuckles. You blushed as widening your eyes. The sweet sensation of his flattering, soft lips made you shiver. You sort of wanted them somewhere else now- But you won't be telling him anyway.
"Goodnight, sweetheart. May you have the sweetest dreams." He gave you another, charming smile and after a quick bow, he went up the stairs, towards his room. You stared at the empty hallway, already missing Alastor's presence.
Why do you even feel this way?
Tumblr media
a/n: let me know if you're up for part two! I'm not really proud of this but any feedback would be much appreciated!

hii I love your work 🙈🙈 can you do one with colby where the reader is a medium and the place is like really active?
medium | c.b.
pairing: colby brock x fem!medium!reader
summary: you’re a guest in sam and colby’s video.
warnings: use of y/n, the place they are exploring is totally made up by me, bad writing and grammar(sorry, english isn’t my first language)
an: thank you so much for this idea, i hope you’ll like it <3
Tumblr media
“What’s up guys! It’s Sam and Colby!” Colby started video “Today we will be exploring this house” he pointed camera at the big white house behind him.
“It’s Mallory’s house.” Sam added ”The place where Mallory watched her family being murdered and then died there herself because of starvation.” he explained “People says she and her family to this day are there. Also, there’s a rumor that Mallory is waiting for the killer to come back to take her revenge. But we’ll tell you about it later!” he clapped his hands.
“But we’re not alone here.” Colby said and waved at you so you stood between them „For the first time ever, my girlfriend y/n will be investigating with us!”
“And it’s even more exciting because she is a medium.” sam moved his eyebrows suggestively and you laughed quietly “Y/n how are you feeling about it?”
“Excited, that will be the first time ever I will actually try to use my ‚gift’ intentionally.” you smiled at camera “I guess it won’t be hard since I already can feel this house.”
“Oh what do you feel?” Colby asked curiously.
“There is certainly something. I can’t really say yet if it’s good or how it feels about us being here but it’s not threatening.” you explained “I think it’s curious what we will do.”
“Good to know.” Sam smiled at you and then smiled mischievously at the camera and then at Colby “I have some surprise for you Colby.” he stated “When I was doing research I found some rumor that I didn’t tell you about.”
“What’s going on?” Colby already could tell he probably won’t like this.
“So like I said, there’s this rumor that, like you know, Mallory is waiting for her family’s killer to come back to have her revenge, but there’s also this thing that apparently she’s targeting mans that are similar to the killer.” he explained “And guess what? You have brown hair, blue eyes and you’re tall and pale, just like Many!” he cheered and you laughed while Colby sighed with resignation.
“Great” he said ironically „Let’s go, we can’t keep Mallory waiting to hurt me.”
“Don’t worry, I will save you.” you joked and he smiled softly at you and kissed your cheek.
“I feel safer now.”
|||
After your guide left you alone in the house you started to feel stronger emotions.
“I’m not sure why but now I feel everything stronger. It’s like guide was calming them.” you explained to the camera.
“They already were familiar with guide so maybe he made Mallory feel safer and now, without him here, she keeps her guard up.” Sam offered and you agreed that it was possible.
„So y/n, what do you feel, can you see something?” Colby pointed camera at you again.
„Yeah, I feel that here are few people but I can only see one. It’s a little girl standing next to the staircase. She’s observing us but she’s nice one.” you assured them „ I think it’s Mallory’s sister, Naya?”
You could see the little girl nodding and you smiled softly at her.
„Yes, it’s her.” you said „I have no idea who is it but there’s one spirit that is the strongest and definitely isn’t the nicest. Not bad or threatening but also isn’t inviting.” you stated „I can feel strong emotions like sadness and nostalgy. I think they might be trapped here.”
„That’s interesting.” Sam looked impressed „So only Naya is with us in the room?”
„No, there’s at least two more spirits but only Naya let me see her.”
„Okay, so I think we can start with a spirit box.” Colby offered.
|||
You were going from room to room and now you had only two more rooms left.
Mallory’s bedroom and playroom where Mallory was left by a murderer to die from starvation.
You were about to come into her bedroom when you started feeling weird.
„I feel uncomfortable.” you said and boys said they also felt like that „I don’t think she likes us very much.”
„So Mallory is in her room?” Colby asked and finally you all went into the said room.
„Yeah, I think she was here the whole time because I felt her before but only now I feel her presence so much.” you said.
„Okay, let’s start.” Sam pointed camera at himself and started talking „Hey Mallory, we’re sorry if you don’t like us but we’re coming in peace. We only want to share your story with the world. We don’t want to mess with you or disrespect you.”
You all heard knocks.
„Thank you for listening to us.” Colby said „We will use this box, it’s called spirit box and you can talk to it and it will communicate it to us.”
„I’m not sure what’s going on but I just started to feel really weird.” you stated and Sam pointed the camera at you „I feel uneasy, like something is about to happen. I think she doesn’t like the spirit box.”
„Oh, we are sorry Mallory, but we promise it won’t do anything to you, it only will help us to communicate with you.” Sam explained.
Colby turned on the spirit box and it immediately said „hurt”.
„Killer hurt you?” Sam asked and box said yes after a moment.
„Do you want a revenge on Many?” Sam asked and immediately after he said killer’s name you all could hear thud, like someone punched the wall.
Boys continued to ask questions but you keep quietly trying to breathe evenly. The feeling of uneasiness only got stronger and you felt as you were choked. Suddenly it stopped but the uncomfortable feeling stayed.
Your intuition was alarming you and you looked ay Colby. You could feel something you couldn’t name.
Your head started to pound and you felt need to sit down. You sat down on the floor and boys looked at you with concern.
„What happened?” Colby stood next you „You okay?”
„Yeah, I just felt like I need to sit down or I will fall.” you explained „My head hurts.”
„Do you want us to do a break? We can go outside for a moment.” Colby offered and wanted to help you up but you only waved him off.
„No, I’m okay. It’s getting better. We can continue but I need to sit for a moment, I don’t trust my legs right now.” you laughed and boys nodded but you could see they were keeping careful eye on you. They went back to asking questions.
You actually started to feel better but you couldn’t shake off the bad feeling that something was about to happen.
„Guys.” you said alarmed after a moment when you felt something „We should go to the other room. She doesn’t want us here.” just as you said it, the spirit box said „yes” and „get out”.
„Alright, lets go to the playroom.”
You changed rooms and started investigating. You still felt uncomfortable and your headache was coming back even harder but you said nothing not wanting to interrupt their conversation with Naya.
Suddenly Colby hissed „Fuck, something scratched me!” he explained and lifted his shirt showing two red lines running down his stomach.
You looked at him concerned but before you could ask if he’s okay your vision started to get blurry and you lost balance and if Colby wasn’t next you you would fall.
„Hey, hey, you with us?” you could hear concern in Sam’s voice while Colby carefully sat with you on the floor.
„Yeah, I just felt this uneasiness and headache when suddenly my vision became blurry and I couldn’t keep my balance.” you explained, blinking to make your vision clearer.
Then you felt something new and somehow you knew what that meant.
„Something is trying to target Colby.” you said and boys looked surprised „I think it’s Mallory. Sam, you said she’s targeting people having similarities with the killer?”
„Yes.” Sam confirmed while looking with concern at Colby.
„I’m not sure how but I think I already knew she was targeting him and I unconsciously was trying to shield him somehow but when she scratched him it also affected me.”
„Shield me?” Colby asked with confusion.
„I can’t explain this but when I see or feel a spirit I have some control over him. It’s like authority thing. It knows I know they are there so they aren’t sure about me. She must feel I care about you and it was harder for her to attack you but she tried.” you said and boys looked impressed.
„Amanda said something similar last time.” Sam said „Spirits doesn’t like mediums because they are afraid of their abilities. It must affect them somehow.”
„Yeah” you nodded.
„Are you feeling okay now? Do you want to stop, take a break?” Colby looked at you concerned but you denied.
„I’ll be okay but we should work faster and get out of here. Mallory doesn’t like us and I think she’s trying to hurt you.” you said, last part mainly to Colby who just nodded but didn’t stood up from where he was holding you behind you.
Sam understood what Colby wanted to do and also sat on the floor.
„We will continue investigating sitting in case y/n feel worse.” Sam informed viewers and you felt grateful.
„Mallory, what y/n said was true?” Colby asked „Do you want to hurt me but she’s stopping you?” you could hear a thud in answer. It was loud and very close to you three. „Is it because I remind you of Many?” again thud, this time even louder.
„We are sorry that Colby reminds you ab…” something interrupted Sam’s. And by something you meant a weird scratching sound that was dangerously close to Colby’s back.
„What the hell?” Colby looked at the floor behind him but there was nothing, then he suddenly yelped and his head leaned back, then he said „Something just…like pulled me by hair.”
„What the hell?” you narrowed your eyebrows and looked around the room „Mallory is angry.”
„Should we go?” Sam looked at you but before you could say anything doors to the playroom closed themselves „What the fuck.”
„I think she doesn’t want us to leave just yet.” Colby furrowed his brows and you heard knocks.
„Okay, Mallory were you the one who pulled Colby’s hair?” you asked after Sam turned on the spirit box. It immediately confirmed.
You wanted to say something more but you started to feel nauseous and your headache was back. You felt like you couldn’t move or even open your mouth, your vision became blurry and you couldn’t hear anything, just ringing.
And when you were in this state Mallory again attacked Colby, this time making bigger three scratches on his arm.
„Hey, what’s with y/n?” Sam asked concerned after they inspected Colby’s wound. Colby looked at you and immediately tried to shake you off this trance. He succeeded but only after few seconds.
„We should get out” you said panicked. You felt very off and you could feel yourself shaking „I can’t explain it but if we stay here someone’s gonna get hurt badly.” you stated and felt like someone placed their hand on your neck. You reached there and touch was gone but Sam gasped.
„Your neck, it has handprint.” he showed it to the camera and Colby immediately got up and helped you. You started taking your things when there was next thud.
„Mallory and everyone else, you can’t follow us out of the house and you can’t hurt us. You are not allowed to.” Colby said sternly and you all walked out of the house and when Sam reached to close the door after you, they closed themselves.
„Holy shit, I’m not sure if we ever got so much evidence.” Sam sighed and looked at the camera that was still recording „I think it was caught on camera how they closed.”
He stopped recording and you get into the car where boys decided to record outro and then Colby drove to your hotel.
„Are you sure you okay?” Colby asked for the hundred time since you got to your room.
„Yes, Colbs, I’m good.” you kissed his cheek.
„Promise me you will never again try to shield me. Not if it’s gonna affect you like that.” he asked „It pained me to even look at how you looked there, it was like you were about to leave your body. Don’t scare me like that ever again please.” he kissed your forehead and hugged you tighter.
You rolled your eyes, like you could ever let something happen to him if you could stop that.
„Can’t promise you that Colby, I love you too much to let something get to you.” you kissed him.

AITA for going off on a tattoo artist for giving me the wrong mandarin letters?
Context matters a lot here. I (23ftm) recently lost my partner to cancer. They were the love of my life and I dropped everything for them- I moved states away from my family so that they could be more comfortable in a dryer climate, I made sure to be there for them through thick and thin- the works. My family, though sad, were okay with it since I had never been so passionate about anything before I met them. Losing them has been nothing short of miserable.
They were Chinese and had a very strong connection to their language and culture, so I wanted to get a tattoo that translated to "My angel, my love" with "my angel" being on the top and "my love" being on the bottom onto my arm. I wasn't able to learn any dialects from them while they were alive since things had been so busy, but I thought maybe at least I could start with this.
So, I went to a local tattoo parlor that had a Chinese tattoo artist (I hope it isn't racist to assume, I've heard him speaking in Mandarin on the phone) and asked to get the translation tattooed. He seemed genuine and we got to work with choosing a font, the right location, and scheduling an appointment. It was very professional and I was really glad that it had gone smoothly since if it hadn't, I'd probably just give up entirely.
A week passes and I get my tattoo. A bit after as we're talking about it, I mention that I got it to commemorate my late partner, whom like I said I consider to be the light of my life. When I mentioned that, he sort of paused and had this look on his face, like when you realize you forgot something really important. He shook it off though and we got back to talking, but things seemed obviously more awkward now.
When I went home I sent a picture of it to my partner's family, and immediately they picked up that something was wrong. They didn't tell me what it had actually translated to, but it was apparently very inappropriate and disrespectful.
Needless to say I was breaking down. My partner had died, I was struggling with depression and fatigue from handling a lot of the funeral procedures, and overall that had been the straw that broke the camel's back. This is where I may be the asshole. I drove back to the parlor shop and found my tattoo artist, and I didn't get physical, but I had definitely wanted to. I was yelling at him, screaming about how he was a horrible shitty person, the works. He argued back that I should have at least given him a reason for the tattoo, since he gets white people coming in all the time asking for dumb stuff, but I shot back that he could have at least told me what he had done when I did reveal why I got the tattoo.
Again, I didn't get physical, but they did threaten to call the cops on me if I didn't leave since I wss making a scene, so I left and later emailed that I had at the very least wanted a refund, since they didn't even give me the tattoo I wanted. I still haven't gotten a response yet.
My family (both biological and in-laws) are very conflicted over this. Some of them think that I could have dealt with it a lot better, while others think I should have threatened them with a lawsuit (obviously there's inbetween opinions but those are the main two extremes). I can't afford a lawsuit considering I'm already dealing with the funeral funds like I said, but I don't know. I don't even know if yelling at the guy made me feel better or worse- it was an in-the-moment response to be sure.
So, with more context, AITA for yelling at the tattoo artist who gave me an inappropriate tattoo instead of the one I really wanted?
What are these acronyms?

-----------
Honor comes from the Latin honoris. Indicating a person who lives with honesty and probity, basing their way of life on the dictates of morality. A principle that leads someone to have a righteous, virtuous conduct, which allows to enjoy a good reputation in society.
Five Hargreeves thought of himself as a callous man with no honor and, somehow, able to drown out the voice of morality in his head. He was very knowledgeable about literature and history, and his physics and math skills could surpass Tesla's, but philosophy for him was a bunch of weak principles and dictated by people who didn't really know the world, who didn't pass 1% of what he passed by, who did not see what he saw. Not even Socrates, Plato or Machiavelli had known the worst of humanity like him, the truth about realities.   A big part of his existence came down to surviving, fighting, winning, crushing everything that threatened his life.
His cynical outlook on life led him to pragmatism, and he knows that if he wants something done, he will have to do it himself.
His actions were more about getting things done than about displaying a display of rebellion or power. However,  Five was not afraid of pain or even killing. He didn't mind being the author of the worst massacres if it meant going back to his family.
Five Hargreeves don't give a damn about being the villain of the story. He did what had to be done.
It was why, when The Handle ordered him to carry out the death sentence of a Duke and Duchess in 1730, Five did not question or hesitate.
Even though in the back of his mind, in a very small part of his brain, the question arose as to why people from such an old and outdated date, he did nothing about it,  much less pulled the thread from the ball of yarn that would trigger a series of questions in a row. His job was not to ask why, to investigate step by step, to go through file by file. Five wasn't on The Commission to know the reason for each death, he was on the execution.
So he went, letting the suitcase unfold before his eyes an ancient era, from a faraway time, introducing him to carriages, flowing dresses, gigantic balls. And, as much as some people considered that era poetic, Five never liked lack of practicality.
So he killed the couple as quickly as possible, determined to escape from the need to spend more hours in that old-fashioned place.
It was like any other murder he had committed over the years on The Commission; he came, killed, and left. No looking back, no questions, no hesitation. Drowning in the deepest wave any second feelings that might have submerged, ensuring his emotions were chained very well at the bottom of the ocean.
It was easy, normal, routine. He was once again the villain, and could sleep very well the night with that.
But something began to change gradually in the atmosphere, in the air.
On some mornings, it was as if Five's hands were tingling for no apparent reason, eager to catch up something he had no idea what it was. On some afternoons, his heart vibrated in his chest, like a ground being punished by an earthquake, shaking his balanced state of mind. And, on some dawns, Five's mouth was as dry as the Sahara desert, thirsty for something that not even the coldest water could appease.
Wherever he was the air stayed suddenly thin, stuffy. And sometimes, in the middle of a mission, the wind seemed to blow in only one direction, hitting Hargreeves' back as if pushing him to go in a path. At those moments, his heart returned fluttered in his chest, as if he knew that one north was calling him and was that where he needed to go.
Everything inside Hargreeves began to be affected by strange reactions, spurred by banal, mundane events.
An in a few seconds, if Five stood completely still, silencing his thoughts and hollowing out any inner voices, he could hear something in the wind calling for him. Small seconds that swept away any balance that one day he ever had.
Five Hargreeves was going through a peripeteia, and he had no idea what was causing it.
What hell is going on?
It was wen, on an afternoon where the sun hid with shame among the dark gray clouds, The Handler gave him another murder.
In 1750.
His soul shuddered inside him in that second, echoing through his bones, keeping Five's egyptian green eyes fixed on the paper in his hands, unable to look away from the bold numbers that indicated the date of his next mission.
The icy breeze ruffled his dark hair, but he didn't move. There seemed to be something important and unspoken in the air, and this time, the voice calling his name on the wind grew softly louder. Now, it didn't seem to come from the back of his mind anymore, but from a place far away.
Five looked around, in an instinctive movement in the pathetic and vain attempt to find the source of that voice.
Nothing. As always.
“Five.” The Handler snapped her fingers in front of his face “May I have your precious attention?" The irony didn't go unnoticed, but his eyes flickered to hers. “As I was saying, the time and place of this mission is strictly important. Viscount Sebastian needs to be killed in his office at midnight, in the middle of his daughter's debut ball, not a minute less and nowhere else.”
Hargreeves gave a nod. Not because he had devoted all of his attention to her, just because he wanted her to stop talking. Much of his concentration was still on the way his body and the hemisphere around him behaved. Mission times and places were standard, no need to focus on this nonsense and listen to someone reiterate the rules as if Five were a child. He was 26 years old, a child was the last thing he was.
Something seemed to be happening, occult like a current that rattles under the sea. And the knowledge that he couldn't see the bottom of the ocean unnerved every cell in his body. Hargreeves couldn't stand things he couldn't perceive, understand how it works, take it apart and put it back together again.
This time, when Five returned to the eighteenth century, with 20 years having passed in that time after his visit and only 2 weeks for him, what hit him first was not the impracticality, the carriages, the big dresses. But the wind. Strong, cold, bringing with it the voice who called his name for weeks, now loud and clear.
The dark strands of his body prickled, and he could feel his heartbeat in his throat. Suddenly, anxiety snaked through his body like venom, stirring every fiber in his body, pumping something into his veins that made his blood heat like lava. An emotion he couldn't name what it was.
In the last mission, Five had a string of complaints about the  way the black waistcoat squeezed the white linen shirt over his abdomen, and how heavy the straight-cut coat felt heavy under his shoulders. But in this time, he wasn't bothered with the clothes he had to wear so as not to attract attention and go unnoticed. Now, with his heart pounding in his chest, his throat dry and the constant feeling that he had to be somewhere urgently, his clothes were the last things on his mind.
It was an emotion that squeezed the pit of his stomach, made his hands itch and his body shot with an adrenaline that screamed that he needed to move. That he had a more important place to be. All the sensations he'd felt leisurely over the weeks now came back with absurd force, as if he were getting close to the source of it all.
What was happening?
The moon in that far away era shone sovereignly in the sky, blessing the houses, carriages and large mansions with cascades of distilled light in the purest color of silver.
Las time, the feeling that came over Five was to get out of there as quickly as possible. But now, looking around in search of the source of the voice calling him in the wind, the last thing on his mind was leaving.
His watch still read eight o'clock, but the sensation  was like he was already late.
The most practical plan was to stay hidden somewhere near the mansion where the ball was being held. Avoiding crowds, witnesses, minimizing risk and being a shadow. As always did. The most rational thing to do was to stay away from that place at all costs, until the inevitable arrived and he was forced to enter through one of the windows.
He should have done it. But he didn't.
Just as a sailor follows a siren's song on the high seas, Five followed that voice on the wind. His brain screamed for him to seek a hiding place, but his soul rebelled with an absurd ferocity, ricocheting tremors through all his bones and ordering his legs to follow a path his conscious did not know. His whole mind was confused, but his soul carried a certainty that no other living being had ever had in they life.
With no other option, stunned by the sensations in his own body, he found himself walking towards the front door of the only place he was supposed to avoid until midnight.
If Five Hargreeves had to describe what was happening to his five senses, he would say that his vision was mildly blurred, as if were searching for focus. The smell was of climax and the ambient sounds were drowned out by his own heartbeat. It was like being there in flesh and blood, but not in soul.
He didn't focus on the details of the world around him, but he knew when he finished climbing the front steps. He couldn't focus on the conversation around him, but he knew that a few people were walking beside him.
His mind saw everything, but processed nothing.
It was a mistake not to be 100% aware of the environment, not to study each individual's body language, not to constantly calculate the odds of a move going wrong. But... it was as if something prevented him from emerging to the surface.
Five didn't respond when the butler greeted him at the entrance to the great hall, but looked around as the wind from outside hit his back and his name rang in his ears once more.
It was a female voice. Now he could tell.
Going deeper into the hall, the melody of the orchestra invaded his ears while thousands of people, talking, dancing and drinking, took his view. Everything resembled a blur on a painting, the sounds were still muffled as if Five were at the bottom of the sea, and the smell transitioned between flowers, feminine perfume and poetry.
Five Hargreeves was a pragmatic, cynical and austere man. Everything that made up his being was based on rationality, laws of physics and mathematical concepts,  he wasn't oscillated  by tender things and he certainly wasn't carried away by things of the heart or soul. He always followed what rationality dictated. Until now.
Until now.
Like a violin string that ruptured, Hargreeves was gripped by the feeling that something very important was about to happen. Something that would not only change his existence forever, but change him for eternity. This fact stared him at back, bold, warm and as inevitable as the setting sun. And very hair on his body stood on end at once while everything inside him pulsed with a brutality that could shake his bones.
Now, the sound of the orchestra was drowned out by the soundtrack of his life, which was coming closer to apex by the second. It was like being submerged in a slow-motion, in a moment that preceded an momentous event.
As magnets are pulled one by the other in an impassable way, his eyes, as if they already knew where to look, were drawn to a figure among the others who danced in the middle of the hall.
You.
Was like an explosion. Loud and brutal. He suddenly submerged from the bottom of the sea, bewildered, desperate, out of breath. The stupor released itself all at once, bringing his mind back to the reality. Instantaneously, nothing was blurred anymore, sounds weren't muffled, and he abruptly returned to his conscious state. But his soul was not so lucky. Like being whipped by live eels, his heart pounded in his chest with such fury that he leaned over forward millimeters, his throat was drier than the Egyptian desert and now his hands itched in a hellish, bestial, uncontrollable way.
Five Hargreeves has released himself from a wave of numbness only to be hit by a tsunami of sensation.
His eyes were seeing everything clearly now, but he couldn't take his attention away from the female figure dancing in the middle of the room, her bouffant gown swirling gracefully across the floor as if deities were blowing the fabrics.
There were a lot of people around him, in front of him, behind him, but Five Hargreeves only had eyes for you.
In an insane, magical and inexplicable logic, Five had the purest certainty that it was your voice that called him in the wind, that was by the desire to touch your skin that his hands itched. Five would never be able to explain it to other people, but at that moment, there was nothing more concrete on Earth, in physics and science, than the certainty that was because of you that his soul felt, so many times, that he should be somewhere else.
Like the indubitability that you need oxygen to breathe, touching your skin has become just as indispensable. It was a matter of needing, something that now not only itched his hands, but corroded the bones in his fingers.
There was no reason for all those absurd feelings, Five had never even seen you before. But rationality had no space in that moment.
There, in that rift between the past, future and parallel realities, there was no discernment, lucidity, judgment. It was a hideaway free of any cohesiveness, with the smell of romance, an atmosphere full of emotion, passion and poetry. A distant era that allowed, for the first time in many years, that the soul of Five Hargreeves to take control of his body.
He moved, one step after another, his focus petrified on you. With each centimeter closer to your body, the more he felt able to breathe again, relieving the brutal anxiety that had been beating him for weeks, giving a truce to the martyrdom that  lacerate him day after day without even him even knowing why.
You had finished your dance, clapping along with the other guests for the orchestra that started the new melody, this time more lyrical.
Your hair, the tone of which seemed to be the personification of poetry, of art, was tied in a bun that allowed a few strands to fall under your neck, the skin of your bust was speckled with a few little droplets of sweat, the perfect amount to glisten under the yellowish light of the candles in the chandelier, making a divine, almost celestial aurora radiate from you. The dark blue gown referred back to the night sky in its greatest splendor, highlight your full breasts at the straight neckline and opening at the hips in a skirt that preached the illusion of you being floating across the hall. Your lips were a red that Five had never seen in his life. A red that seemed to exist only to serve you, enhancing the color of your eyes.
You were like a mirage. An oasis in the farthest desert. One of those paintings that people come from all over the world to see in person, capable of sweeping, taking they breath away, making they cry for having to live with the burden of never having the possibility of knowing you in life.
The romantic period was going on in that century, society was tired of trends in intellectual thinking, rationalization, industrialization and the veneration of science. People longed for an escape into emotionally charged images and fantastical fiction in the visual arts and literature. And Five Hargreeves was certain that you were one of the greatest inspirations of this movement. It was so clear that you were the influence of John Waterhouse's paintings, sweeping the hearts of artists and illuminating poets. Lord Byron was thinking of you when he created the short lyric poem “She Walks in Beauty”, completely fascinated by you.
That thought shuddered Five's soul even more. And an acidic emotion rose in his throat and burned his eyes. In his chest was injected the feeling that he was facing one of the greatest beauties in history, the person the poems and paintings were based on, the inspiration for so many names of literature and art that would become renowned.
There, in front of him, was more than a person. It was a piece of history, art, literature, a beauty that was immortalized and that would be admired even after centuries. Five had already gone to different times in the past, but nothing touched his soul as much as now. As much as you.
Five Hargreeves went in your direction like a sailor following a siren's song across the seven seas.
You were relatively distracted when he got to you. Lungs catching breath from the last dance, body preparing for the next, your mind was on that ballroom but your heart was far away. It was universally true that girls your age should revel in balls like this one. Full of potential husbands, dancing and music, governed by a perfect night for falling in love. You came to like it in the past, but now, after so many similar events, everything didn't have the same magic anymore.
You've heard enough stories - filled with adrenaline, pirate ships and dangerous waters - to crave adventure in your life. It was also noticed that you spent too much time with your books, and that the consequence of spending so many hours in the fictional world brought you very high standards for men and love. The whispers through the darkened streets were that you would end up a spinster. Since you took no interest in any gentleman who courted your hand.
In your defense, it wasn't your fault. The men in your reality were terribly...tasteless.
That was until he showed up.
You don't know where he emerged, or what lineage he was from, much less his name. But he came towards you like that was more important than breathing. In a virile, perfect posture. As if he knew all the secrets of the world and was able to show you them.
One of the first things you noticed were the eyes. The room was partially dark, lit only by the flickering candles in the candelabra, but the darkness only made his eyes clearer. Intense greens. Of such a pure emerald tone that it shone like a mystical cat, calling you to sink in his greenish sea. The stranger had hair as black as midnight, which fell softly and romantically over a face with firm features; jaw as sharp as a razor and a nose full of masculine personality. Although was well dressed, all his clothes, with the exception of the white linen shirt, were as dark as the strands of his hair, something unusual among the sophisticated gentlemen who were invited.
Looking at that gorgeous face, you were left speechless. The deities had been generous to this man, gifting him with bold, aristocratic features and iris as green as Egypt's most precious jewels. The mystery and secrets contained within in those eyes were a fascinating contrast.
“Can I have this dance?” Just a sentence.
He didn't introduce himself, he didn't say who he was. He just dropped that sentence as if it was the only thing he really cared to say.
The gravity of his words made your heart flutter. What a beautiful voice that man had. With a provocative huskiness, a touch of superb, as if he were an oracle at his peak in ancient Greece. The sound seemed to seep into your body and run through you like warm honey.
The truth was, you had reserved the dance for another gentleman, but in that second, you couldn't care less.
“Of course, milord.” That's what you said, accepting the hand he extended to you.
Never taking his eyes off yours, an unfamiliar sensation washed over your mortal body and engulfed everyone around you. You wondered if it was just the stuff of your imagination or if he too felt the electricity whip through his body as he positioned you closer to dance.
Single women weren't allowed to touch men's hands if you weren't wearing gloves, and that rule had never bothered you. Until now.
Until be affected by an insane, visceral desire to feel that man's skin. Of experiencing the heat radiating from his hand against yours, of feeling those white fingers, slender and pale, holding your denude skin. You've never been touched by a man without a layer of clothing intervening. No brushing of elbows, no bumped of fingers, no errant caresses. And you wondered what it was about that man that made you aware of this deprivation. That stranger radiated secrets in an inexplicable but extremely palpable way in the air and you wanted to feel the touch of mystery on your skin more than you wanted to breathe. A will as strong as fear, as intense as hunger.
Your soul screamed in frustration because of the dress when his hand cupped your cover waist. In a touch so firm it only existed in the romance novels you read. Your heart raced, your breath disappeared, and you didn't notice when you rested your hand on his shoulder and your feet began to follow the rhythm of the waltz.
It was pathetic the intensity of your emotions for a man you had just met and didn't even know his name. But, it was like you'd found something didn't even know you'd lost.
Well… if it was the lack of knowledge of his name that was making things a little difficult…
“Aren't you going to tell me your name? Mine is Y/n”
Your voice, sweet as molasses, velvety as suede, made the hairs on the back of Five's neck stand on end. He recognized the timbre now, he had already heard you calling for him in the wind, but nothing surpassed hearing you from inches away.
This was one of those moments where, if you asked Five why he was doing this, he couldn't answer. He couldn't find any logical answers to his actions, reactions, thoughts. But, once again, this rift in space and time was an environment free of rationality. He didn't need this here. He felt he didn't need to. Not when had you in his arms.
A name…
Five Hargreeves was the name of a villain. Someone who would carry on his shoulders to the grave the weight of the thousands of souls he killed. Someone whose hands were marked, eternally, with thick, hot blood. A proof that his destiny was traced directly to hell. His name was the personification of a freak created to be a hero, an orphan in the apocalypse, a man who belonged nowhere in the timeline, someone without family for many decades.
He looked at the hands that held you. The hands of a serial killer. And then he looked at you, full of beauty, life, happiness and innocence. It was like committing a crime against nature to hold something so pure in such infamous, disgraced, death-scarred hands. And something inside he twisted with something like pain…disgust, for the fist time.
His soul didn't want to hold you in the hands of Five Hargreeves.
Five Hargreeves was the villain. And he didn't want to be that man right there.
His mouth, which looked so beautiful yet so dangerous, softly approached the foot of your ear, while the body of you two continued to follow the steps of the waltz. "We don't need names here."
A current of electricity slammed into your body like a whiplash from a live eel, raising goose bumps on parts of your skin you didn't even know you had. My goodness, it was a sin for a single man to have that much charm.
Sensible young women would have turned away at once. Practical girls who appreciated rationality, sincerity and transparency, who had no estimate for games, mystery and sensuality, would have rolled their eyes. But you were not sensible, practical or appreciative of the good customs of the epoch.
You were romantic, hungry for a good charade, adventure. And that man seemed to be built by those two things.
The world was just a shapeless blur, other people were no more than wandering silhouettes, and the atmosphere was enraptured by the flickering orange light of the candles in the candelabra. The smell was of poetry, romance and freedom, which intoxicated the brain and alcoholize any common sense. Was like a magical place in the middle of space and time, a rift that allowed just being. Time passed slowly, as if dancing together with you two.
 ‘One second can change many things...’
Just as Five could hear his father's voice saying 'I told you so' during his years in the apocalypse, he could hear his words now.
‘you can crumble empires, win battles...’
Five swirled you around before pulling you into his arms once more, his heart pounding with each passing moment. Neither of you realized it, but every second you spent together, every step, more messed up the timeline.
You smiled full of romance and magic as he leaned you back, his hand firm on your spine, bringing you to the surface and returning to dance around the hall with the waltz that dandle yours bodies.
‘you can fall in love.’
With every strong step the two of you took on the floor, in an apocalypse dance, realities were immediately misaligned. With each spin, lines of events were exploded into other universes. With each look shared, with each smile, with each heartbeat full of romance, people were erased, born, disappeared.
An apocalypse was brewing somewhere because of his hands on your body. A mystical waltz that brought the ascension of chaos in other timelines.
Neither of you two knew about it. But if Five knew, he wouldn't keep his hands off you anyway. Five Hargreeves was the villain in many realities. And he would accept the burden of being in a few more if it meant having you in his arms.
In an inexplicable and irrational way, what was happening now had more importance than everything he had ever lived and would live through in his entire life.
"You dance very well." You praised him, and his hands on you tighten a little more.
"No more than you". Then he gave that smile.
The half smile that lifted only one corner of his mouth. Malicious, sagacious, sphinx. Who promised to know all the mysteries of the world and show you all the sins of life. What man was that? So full of charm, sensuality, beauty. He seemed out of this world and you found yourself wishing that time would freeze in that moment, that you could hold onto your chest and live in that dance for the rest of your life.
There was something different in the air. A soul-deep feeling that whispered that your life would never be the same again.
Not after this man.
“It is not difficult to find women who dance.” You joked. "You've certainly danced with others to know."
Yes, with his mother and Allison.
But even if he had been dancing with all the women in the world, they would have disappeared in that moment. No memories memory experiences with other women could stand out at that moment.
"If I danced, they all disappeared the moment I waltzed with you." He realized he might have said the right thing, because he could see the breath go out of your lungs and cheekbones flush deliciously.
God in heaven… this girl was breathtakingly beautiful.
Five led you around the hall masterfully, committing your features to his mind like the tattoo on his wrist. Permanently, eternally. Suddenly, he was struck down by the insane desire to know more about you. To hear more of your voice, to taste the way the words flowed from your lips like the purest honey.
You were like a drug, an obsession. An addiction that had stuck with him since the first time he came into that century, since he breathed the same air as you, since he coexisted under the same night sky as you. There was insane logic in the fact that his soul felt your presence without even seeing you on that first mission. He would never be able to explain it, but somehow it made sense inside in him.
Five Hargreeves didn't think about what would happen when he had to leave. He didn't think about the withdrawal his body would suffer when he was away from you. Much less noticed the way there seemed to be something important in the air. If he had been in full intellectual faculties and grounded in rationality, he would have managed to understand that that something was the temporal lines collapsing, an apocalypse forming elsewhere, pure and perfect chaos destroying parallel realities.
But he was not being led by rationality. And even if he was, he wouldn't have minded a few worlds burning if it meant having you next to his body. He didn't care. But The Commission was a different case.
But Five Hargreeves wasn't thinking about any of that.
He conducted a conversation with you the way he conducted that waltz. He discovered that you liked the high seas even though you were never allowed to be on a ship. You loved nature and enjoyed good books. He heard your eagerness to know the world and learn about different cultures, that you wanted to unravel the mysteries of Egypt, see the architecture of Greece, visit Spain and wanted to go swim in the beaches of Brazil. You were an adventurer, and Five's heart skipped a beat for it.
But in a corner of his soul, deep down, he felt an ache reverberate through his bones. The urge to tell you about the world came with overwhelming force, and something inside him died when he realized he could never tell you the truth about the subjects you cared about.
He could never tell all that the world already knew about Egypt, about its tombs and its pharaohs. He could never be able to show the beauty of Brazil's beaches that become famous tourist spots, and he reserved a note in his brain that you would have loved to visit Genipabu in Brazil, a beach with huge sand dunes that seemed to be the junction of a huge desert whit a beach.  He could not tell you what science, oceanography and marine biologists already knew about the oceans. He could never say about the cruises that roamed the seas in all the luxury and comfort, much less about the planes.
Five Hargreeves would never be able to show you the world. And his soul decided to torture itself even more thinking about what it would be like if you were from his time. The things you would do, the freedom you could enjoy.
He could show you anything you wanted, tell you the secrets of the universe…His secrets.
When the waltz was over, on a note as dramatic as the situation, you couldn't say goodbye to him. Your soul, enchanted and completely enraptured by the man in front of you, vehemently refused to remove your hand over his. It seemed that every molecule in your body, every corner of your spirit, every fiber of your being, had defined that it was with that man that they wanted to stay. Forever.
What was foolish.
The truth was that the sensation of poetry, romance and magic that surrounded you two throughout the dance, had evaporated from the air like mist in the sun. Now the sure that you two weren't meant to be together hung in the air like a black cloud, thundering and flashing. This feeling oppressed you with an overwhelming force, so tangible it was possible to cut it with a razor.
No words needed to be said, but it was stamped into the environment, filling every millimeter and gap, putting that magical dance into a category that would never go beyond that: a dance.
A feeling of melancholy jabbed your throat like a scorpion's sting, injecting an emotion of sadness and helplessness into your blood like distilled poison. You didn't want that to be the end. You didn't want to say goodbye. Even with everything in the air indicating that whatever existed between the two of you, ended here, now.
Five's eyes seemed to exude the same as you. Feeling the end heavy and resounding in the air, reverberating like thunder, as every corner of his soul roared the opposite. The green sea of his irises looked like it was in the middle of a storm. Full of pain, anger. With colossal waves and revolts, which promised to destroy everything they saw ahead. Just like the oceans did in the apocalyptic events in the era of Younger Dryas.
Somehow, without having to utter a single sentence, you both knew you were feeling the same thing. Wishing, with all their might, that this wasn't the end, that they were able to hold time against their chest in a tight, desperate embrace, an attempt to freeze the pointers.
At that moment, Five clamored, to any god who would listen, that you not be taken from his arms.
However, like the evil joke that was his life, his thoughts were cut short by the chiming of the clock. 11 chimes. That echoed in his soul like the trumpets of hell, laughing at him, mocking him, making fun of a murderer thinking he would be graced with something like you.
Five Hargreeves was a villain. And he was destined to have the things villains deserve. And none of this things included someone like you.
In that sadistic moment, Five finally understood a sentence from one of the books Grace read to them at night; ‘If I were to kiss you then go to hell, I would. So then I can brag with the devils I saw heaven without ever entering it.’
Yes. Now he understood. Five Hargreeves leaned in, bringing the back of your hand to his lips, laying a kiss that, however much it was impeded by the muslin layer of your glove, he prayed that this kiss could transmit all the feelings he could never say. This are the only kiss he could give you. That sentence echoed in his head like a fact, as sure as the sky is blue, as true as the salt in the oceans.
And when he went to the core of hell, paying for all his sins, he would brag to the other demons that he had been to heaven without ever having entered it.
You wish you'd said something, asked where he was from, stopped him from going. But none of that happened. This was one of those moments that we regret forever, that are branded in a red-hot iron in the soul, in the mind, in the body. Everything inside you was screaming to go after him when Five turned arund and walked into the sea of guests. But he disappeared in the waves before you could even move your feet.
No one had to tell you, but you knew you'd never see him again. And your heart would never beat for another.
-----------
Five Hargreeves has had to do a lot of horrible things over the years. Actions he wasn't proud of but he knew needed to be done, nights awash in blood and the smell of death.
But nothing has wobble him as much as you have.
His soul, body and mind, trained since he was a child not to develop any weakness that would prevent him from being a perfect hero, then perfected and aggravated by the Commission to be the unbeatable assassin, were rarely stirred by feelings.
He was cynical, hard-nosed, crotchety and arrogant. He never got carried away by emotions and, as much as his desire to save his family is pure, he will cross any ethical lines for the greater good. And all of that made him the Commission's best weapon.
Until now.
Until his emotions messed up not just one, but thousands of timelines. Created catastrophes, formed apocalypses, killed people. Hargreeves meeting you was something that could never have happened. Repudiated not just by nature but by the gods. Having you in his arms was like a crime against the timeline, against the balance of the world.
And heavens and hells would make him pay. With work, blood, or his heart. Promising to take not only the soul, but any hope of laying eyes on you once again. As Icarus had his downfall for the sun, so Hargreeves had for you. In a triumphal ruin.
“Do you have any idea what you caused ?!” It was the first thing The Handler said as soon as Five returned from his mission, seconds after he had killed his target.
Her voice was loud, suffused with anger and rage and… despair. Five frowned, soul still aching from having to leave you, your warmth still in his arms. He didn't have the head to deal with her right now. Not when he had so much to process.
“A death.”
“Don't play smart on me!” Her roar was loud enough for Hargreeves to realize that something really serious was going on. The Handler was many things, but she never got worked up without good reason.
The clatter of her heels echoed through the room as she walked towards him, her eyes full of fierce emotion.
“You had only one job to do! One! Kill the man and get out of there. Like always!" Her voice was as rough as desert sand. “But not only did you mess up entire timelines,  but created apocalypses on thousands of worlds that were to happen only thousands of years later!"
Five's mind was racing like a Catarina wheel, spinning at full throttle as it tried to put the pieces together. He blinked once, twice, his heart starting to race with the feeling that something devastating was about to be revealed.
He looked at The Handler, who understood his look. "That's right! Your little feat of dancing with that girl shattered thousands of timelines! People were killed, disappeared, events took a completely different course because of your little impertinence!"
She pulled his arm towards the thousands of screens that monitored infinite realities. And what he saw was chaos. Pure and perfect. Some worlds succumbed to fire, others to water, others to war. But they had devastation as a resemblance.
Five can hear the voices of other Commission workers in the background, in another corridor, other rooms. Some sounded desperate, others irritated, and others helpless, but all seemed concerned. He couldn't even say that he didn't know that little things had chain reactions. Because he knew. There was nothing to justify his actions, for he didn't even have a good reason for himself.
But the truth was, even staring the apocalypse in the face across nine different monitors, he felt no…remorse. There wasn't a part of him that would have done differently, that wouldn't have touched you, that wouldn't have known you. Deep in his soul Hargreeves knew he didn't care how many worlds he had destroyed just by touching you. He was going to hell anyway, it was better to have a memory of you to remember for eternity.
"...we'll have to kill her." It was just that sentence that Five's messed up mind paid attention to.
Then everything stopped.
The weather, the conversations. The world seemed to have held their breath, suspended, staring at Five. Everything inside him fell silent into scary silence, and he turned slowly toward The Handler, all his senses heightened, heart still, mind clear.
She seemed to notice his state. "What did you expect?! You know how things work. Causers of apocalypse get killed, that's our job! And because of that dance of yours, this girl has caused nine different apocalypses.”
There was a kind of insane, evil logic to the situation. The last riddle of gods and life to see Five Hargreeves on his knees. Broken, empty. To punish his sins, taking from him what he took from so many people. They engineered his downfall perfectly, writing with a red-hot iron on his soul the sentence that he could never be happy. His curse, the price to pay. Cosmic fit.
What the fucking hell.
“I'll send some agent to kill her immediately and...”
But Five Hargreeves has never been one to accept sentences imposed on him with his head down. Limitations, rules. He made his own destiny, no matter what he told him, and lived with the consequences. No god, destiny or universe dictated his life.
Everything inside him roared like a beast. Exploding, bursting, sending any control flying away. In an action without any hesitation, delicacy or ambiguities, his hand closed on The Handler's arm. In a firm, strong, tense grip that started hurt her very soon.
She looked at him in a mixture of shock and annoyance. There were very few people in the world willing to face a woman on her level, some too fearful, others who value life too much. But Five Hargreeves was none of those things. He'd never known any predator he should fear, everyone knew he was capable of anything and everything. Maybe there was no line he was able from crossing, or plan he wasn't capable of executing.
Five Hargreeves was the predator she should fear.
And The Handler realized that. For in that pair of eyes she saw danger, rage, pure and perfect hate. His sea of green gave way to red, glittering waves, shining with all the blood he had already spilled. And with a warning that he wouldn't mind spilling more.
“Stay. away. from. her. ” he guided each word with a tighter grip on her delicate arm, sure to leave marks that won't go away anytime soon.
Bewildered, she looked at him like a man possessed, filled with a rage that could fuel hell all by itself. The Handler had never seen him in that state, he was always angry, annoyed, acidic, but that… that was hatred, a bloodthirsty hate.
Five Hargreeves promised to go to hell and drag anyone with him without saying a word.
For the first time in her life, The Handler was afraid.
“Five...you know her need to die...”
"Listen to me" He vociferate, shaking her by the arm. “I don't give a fuck what you have to say. I swear, for all that exists in this world, that if you lay one finger on her, there will be nowhere on earth you can fuck hide from me.”
Five Hargreeves was a tall, masculine man, wrapped in a macabre and sinister aura when he wanted to. He pulled The Handler closer, his face filled with colossal rage being etched like a tattoo into her soul.
“I don't give a fuck about how many worlds are ending, I don't give a fuck if fucking people are dying!  You won't touch her until the day I'm dead!  And you can bet that, even seven feet under the ground, I'll find a way to take you with me to hell if you do fucking something to her."
You were untouchable.
All of his work on The Commission was about killing a number of people to save even more. But he would never, ever, sacrifice you for the greater good. Not even if it meant millions of dead people.
It didn't matter as long as you weren't one of the dead.
Without waiting for further discussion, he led The Handler towards the exit door, leading her out of the room and locking the door when he returned. Five wasn't stupid or naive to think that she would follow his orders. The handler might be afraid of him, but she knew how to get what she wanted, no matter how long it took. And now that he'd bruised her ego, Five knew she'd make it her primary mission to kill you.
Something he would never let happen.
If someone asked where so much anger, so much sense of protection came from, Five Hargreeves couldn't say. Because he didn't even know. In the same way that he still didn't understand everything that had happened, everything that he had been feeling, he still hadn't reasoned where such primitive, territorialist impulses came from. He had no idea where it all came from, but he was sure he could never let anything bad happen to you.
In a twisted and somewhat obscure way, you had gained a villain as a protector. A fallen angel who didn't promise to do good to people, but only to you. Who swore allegiance not to humanity, but solemnly, exclusively, to you.
It was a sensation that filled his entire body like boiling lava. And Five put his hand in the fire for the certainty that he would never be able to get rid of his feelings for you again.
His soul said that, as long as he was alive, he would be yours.
Making his mind work faster than it ever had before, Five Hargreeves concluded that every record of you had to go. There could no longer be documents proving that you were part of humanity. That once you had a name, a house, a reality. Five would have to erase you from any and all records. Forever. The only way to keep you out of the hands of the people who had access to every form of terrestrial existence, was to erase you from the world. Only then, hidden from the Commission, could you live happily. Fully.
But throwing all your documents away was signing the sentence that he was took the risk of never getting to see you again. Without them, finding someone was nearly impossible, much less accessing their reality. Five could start a calculation to find you one day, but that could take years, ages, and even if he memorized your documents number by number, did the calculations and managed to get to you without any side effects, The Commission could follow him and find you.
And finding a civilian's documents was much easier than finding a special agent like him and throwing them away too.
Once again, his life was a cruel joke of the gods, which served as entertainment for any higher power. Five strongly believed that, if there was anything above or below him, they designed his life for they own amusement.
Five Hargreeves spent hours in the file room, locked in that cubicle, not letting anyone in, not getting out. Once he disappeared with your documents, he would be declared a traitor and deserter, where his punishment would not only be more years of work, but death.
The world was spinning. Head ached. A sound gnawed at his mind, a scratch without melody, like a rustle of paper. Someone had taken a scream, a memory and a fear, crumpled it into a jagged ball, and used it to stuff  Five's skull. He need to think of a plan that covered all the rough edges, but his eyes were bombarded with futures he didn't want to think about. Every time he blinked he felt the tragedy lurking in a dark and dismal corner, ready to catch him in their sharp mouths and take him somewhere he feared to go.
A place where the worst had happened to you.
Suddenly, the world was filled with secrets, fears and terror. Just as his soul took control of him in that night, it was the same in this moment. Five Hargreeves wasn't someone to get carried away by anything, but the feeling that something very bad was about to happen to you haunted him to the bone. That would be the perfect ending to his sinful life story; having the one person who touched his feelings so powerfully killed in the same way he killed so many other people.
Life was taking its toll on all the things he had done. For a second, he was afraid of that reckoning. Because the worst is not the bullet hitting yourself, but someone you like.
The feeling outside of being torn apart. All the patches and pieces of what it was to be Five Hargreeves - which he had been painstakingly piecing together throughout his life - were coming loose again, all at once. The clock was ticking, the hours were ticking, and he knew that just as he was coming up with a plan, so was The Handler.
It was a macabre race against time, in which if he lost, he had the feeling he would never fully recover. Not without a part of his soul dying along with you.
When he found your documents, the photo they had of you was a portrait made in that last century, a small painting of your face, eternalizing your smile. Suddenly, the memory of how you'd smiled at him like that gripped him like a demon. And when the memories of you intensified, they brought no comfort, just only fear and dread. Five Hargreeves could not live with himself if those memories were tainted by the knowledge that he was the cause of his tragedy. He would never be able to remember those tender moments again if memories of you were vandalized by images of how you were killed.
It was too late to remedy the consequences of what he had unleashed. The macabre possibilities of what The Handler could do to you were there, tattooed on his brain, as if they would snap open and bolt to reality at any moment. So, as panic rose, Five Hargreeves' mind slammed shut like a heavy book. He wouldn't let any of that happen. Never.
After scheming and checking all the plans in his mind, Five decided that he had already orchestrated the almost perfect scheme. He would destroy all of your documents and, when he had done that, he could no longer remain on the Commission. Thus, he would steal the mission from one of the agents about killing John F. Kennedy, the time that most closely matched his calculations to return to the family in 2019. Then Five Hargreeves would evade The Commission and deal with them without being an employee anymore. And even if they went after him, they would never find you.
Not even Five.
And so it was done.
-----------
Five Hargreeves went through the reunion with his family, faced the commission agents coming after him to kill him, dealt with The Handler and put up with his siblings drama.
In a matter of weeks, he had already gotten himself into so much trouble and confusion that sometimes he didn't even have time to breathe. Processing events and digesting them had become a luxury he no longer had, and saving the world from one apocalypse and falling into another had seemed to become a family pastime.
But there were nights. Cold, when the moon reached its apex in the sky and the rain poured down on the ground, when he was finally able to be alone and clear his mind. In those rare moments, the only thing on his mind was you.
Always you.
His point of peace, his refuge from his constant stress and pressure was in the images of you. In the way your body fit perfectly in his hands, in the way your gaze, enchanted and completely shining, did not leave his. Five Hargreeves felt that, like him at that moment, there was no other place you would rather be.
Twenty years could go by, but he would still feel what it was like to have your warmth in his arms, in the smell that your perfume exhaled and in the way the candles in the candelabra glowed on your skin. You were like a goddess, dancing at that ball as if the world would never be graced with such beauty again.
When Five Hargreeves closed his eyes, he could see you perfectly. Swirling around as if the ground were your clouds and everyone there were mere mortals, watching what the angels in heaven looked like.
It was like a dark paradise. He managed to slake some of that suffocating tightness in his chest whenever he returned to those memories, but it resulted in more flagellations in his poor, tortured soul. The notion that he would never have anything but memories, dreams, and mowed wishes, would skin him alive until his last days. Five would forever be haunted by the notion that, even when he died, you wouldn't be waiting on the other side.
You would be in heaven. And he belonged in hell.
But, it was worth it.
All the pain, all the desperation his soul struggled with, all the shortness of breath that coiled in his lungs, all the feeling of being stabbed with a dagger knowing his would never lay hands on you again, it was all worth it when he reviewed your face in his memories.
Five Hargreeves didn't clamored for relief from his pain, balm for the cuts deep in his soul, a minute's mercy. No, he accepted all of his fate with his head held high. He clamored for you to be okay. Safe, happy. Free from any worries or tribulations. He wished you had forgotten about him, erased that night from your blood, because it would be impossible to live if he knew you were suffering just like him.
Five Hargreeves had never given you a single kiss, tucked your hair in his fingers and tasted your tongue, but he didn't need it. His soul didn't need that to fall madly in love with you.
Yes, pure and perfect passion. It was the only logical explanation for how he felt about you.
Even though he never tasted your skin in his mouth, or touched you without the interference of a piece of clothing, Five Hargreeves was in love with you.
And it would be for the rest of his life.
-----------
All the Hargreeves siblings thought all was well when the Commission was defeated and they got a briefcase to take them back at home. The nightmare of the second apocalypse had already passed and now the feeling that invaded their bodies was one of relief. For a second, Klaus thought that everything would now be back on track; with the family together, stronger ties and improved relationships.
Everyone thought so, actually.
The shimmering blue flash engulfed all the brothers, passing through the barriers of space and time, leaving the Hargreeves in the mansion where they grew up and spent most of their lives. Everyone looked happy, relaxed. And Five also shared the same relief.
Until that fateful moment.
Until a draft of wind enter through the window behind him and hitting his back, bringing a feeling that immediately made every hair on his body stand on end. In a matter of seconds, all sense of relief, calm, and peace were shattered, exploding one by one with the same aggressiveness of a nuclear bomb. The world seemed to stumble and stoped, the colors of the hemisphere fluidized into a vintage orange, flickering, almost as if the lighting came from candles.
As much as his siblings were laughing and making noises, everything for Five was quiet, in a tacit silence. The sound of cars on the streets did not exist anymore, the conversations disappeared, and, little by little, the only thing he could hear was his own heartbeat. Increasing in tempo gradually, like a soundtrack.
Then, in the apex of silence, when Five could already hear the blood rushing through his veins, he listened.
Five.
Your voice in the wind, almost like a whisper. Calling for him. Just like you did a long time ago.
His soul gave a scream that shook him to the very bones, and he didn't notice when his eyes widened and his breath hitched. Suddenly, his whole body came back to life, being pulled sharply from the bottom of the ocean, submerging, desperately, breathless, astonished. Abruptly, the heat returned to his hands, to his cheeks, to his heart. Five could feel warmth coursing through his body as if they had rekindled the flame of his soul.
Was like resurrect.
He looked back in one jerk, spinning in place, heart pounding in his ribcage, his frantic, frantic eyes darting around every corner.
Nothing.
“Hey, are you okay?” Klaus looked back, focusing on his brother, but Five didn't respond.
He walked past Klaus as if he couldn't hear him, his eyes and hands trembling visibly, his step tight. Five chased the wind current as if he were chased his life, oblivious to anything or anyone.
His siblings, finding the situation strange, followed him without hesitation, accompanying the owner with green eyes entering more in the house. They had no idea what to expect, or what to think, but they stopped behind Five as he froze in the middle of the living room, eyes petrified, wide, fixed on a very specific spot at the top of the stairs.
But nobody noticed what he saw.
While all the Hargreeves were taken aback by Reginald's appearance in the outer corner of the room, stunned and petrified, growing more and more stunned as their father went on to explain the situation, Five couldn't take his eyes off the top of the stairs. Nothing in the world would have made him look elsewhere.
You.
You.
Fucking hell...you.
There, standing next to people he didn't care to find out who they were, looking down, observing at the people who had just entered.
Suddenly, everything inside him was whipped by currents of electricity, as if he'd been struck by lightning. An argument seemed to be brewing in the background, but Five Hargreeves didn't fucking care. May the world explode, may everything end up in dust, fire or water. He didn't want to know.
You were there. With the sunlight coming through the large windows behind your back, and illuminating your silhouette as if you were a deity, a goddess, a muse. You shone. Like the gates of heaven. At that moment, the soul of Five Hargreeves fell to his knees in front of you. For you.
An extremely strong emotion invaded him without asking permission, destroying everything he once was. Five felt like crying.
As a war in the background unfolded, the people who were beside you started to descend the stairs one by one. But he couldn't take his eyes off you.
“Five. Five.” Luther seemed to call out to him in the background, but he didn't care.
You walked down the steps the same way you glided through that ballroom, as if the floor were your clouds. Yours robes were uniform this time, but Five was pretty sure that behind that high collar, your skin harbored a birthmark on your collarbone. Your hair was down, but he knew how you looked with your strands tied up.
With each step you took, more his pulse quickened. It was like a dream, a mirage, his oasis in the scorching desert. At some point in the battle against the Commission he had died, and that was his dream.
However, Luther's hand gripped his arm, forcing his green eyes to meet his brother's.
“Dude, what's wrong with you? Didn't you hear dad saying that we're in another reality?”
“I am not your father.” Reginald countered. “Not in this reality.”
Five frowned, rationality slowly returning to his body, his brain taking over once more. A parallel reality. That explained a lot. A reality where…you existed.
Holy shit.
Someone said the Hargreeves had better go, and Five would have laughed out loud if he hadn't submerged in thoughts. If they really was in a parallel reality, that meant you didn't remember him. You didn't even know him. The version who have danced with him was still in another century, in a timeline far, far away.
But…Five looked up. You radiated the same beauty of the romantic period as before, your skin still looked feather soft, your lips still where able to take away his complete self-control, your eyes still have… the same glow that he remembered so many times during so many nights.
You didn't know him, but that didn't matter. Because Five knew you.
He suffered the worst of martyrdoms all this time, and now that he'd finally, finally found you once more, he wasn't going to leave. Even if it meant having to make you fall in love with him all over again. In fact, Five Hargreeves would dedicate his entire lives to making you fall in love with him all over again in every reality there is. He would have as many times as necessary a first dance with you.
He didn't realize it, but his lips lifted in a smile. In a snap of fingers, everything reached a apex, higher than the buildings, higher even to the clouds. All the problems evaporated like mist in the sun, and being in a parallel reality, with a father that wasn't his, in a house that wasn't the one he grew up in, seemed to be extremely insignificant.
For the first time in a long time, Five Hargreeves was happy. And nothing would change that.
That's when, amidst all the arguing the Hargreeves and Sparrows were having around, your eyes met his. And for him it was like coming home after an excruciating winter.
You cocked your head slightly to the side, intrigued by the way that man was looking at you so…surrendered. You understood the gravity of the situation, of those strangers breaking into your home and trying to claim everything as theirs. You were also irritated just like your siblings.
But... when you looked at that man… with eyes so green and hair so dark, something inside you caught your breath. A shiver went up your spine. And maybe you were crazy, but you can swear that felt your soul heave a sigh of…relief. A strange, emotional feeling reverberated through your spirit as if…somehow you'd just found what you've spent so long waiting to met again.
It don’t make sense.
As the confrontation unfolded between the two families, you couldn't help but notice that, minute by minute, you found yourself wanting to look at this man more. As if it were never going to be enough, as if the second you turned your head, you were overcome with an insane urge to see more. You should be focused on trying to get those strangers out of your house, not admiring one of them.
But Five realized that. A spark inside him vibrated with hope, and he delighted in being able to relive the feeling of what it was like to be looked at by you again.
But before he or you could even do anything, the physical feud between the two families broke out with astonishing speed, spreading like the plague. Diego, as usual, was the first to go into battle, followed by Luther and Allison.
See, you didn't consider yourself a confrontational person. Your peculiarity was to manipulate the natural elements and, although that made you one of the strongest figures among your siblings, you had a more adventurous spirit than a fighter. There was no such homeric thirst in your blood to be the best, the strongest, the most brutal. Ben said that was the most unattractive thing about you, but Sloane saw this feature with good eyes. Like you, she wasn't much inclined to brutality.
The fight drove you and Five away from each other, separated by rooms, siblings and war. You saw your family appeal to brute aggression very quickly, while, if you're honest, you didn't want to hurt anyone. Is trut that you were irritated by the way they claimed your house as theirs, but you didn't think they were bad people.
Or all this bland resolutions were for the fact that you didn't want to hurt him. Because, in some way you couldn't explain, you knew he wouldn't hurt you.
But that's when Alphonso yelled at you from upstairs. “Y/N! Do fucking something too!”
Everyone was scattered around the house, but you still remained downstairs, in the living room, arranging a way to help without being very aggressive like your siblings were being. You had no intention of killing or seriously injuring them, but you also weren't willing to put up with the scolding your brothers would give you if you continued to be omitte.
So, when one of the strangers came running to get away from something, the tail of his dark overcoat dancing in the air and his black hat toppling along the path, your reaction was to do the one thing that couldn't seem to do any real damage. In a wave of the hand, the windows were shattered by large, sprawling tree roots, that came out of the garden earth like thick snakes and entered the house in a steady stream.
The man gave a high-pitched scream, but his feet were already entwined by the roots and he was knocked to the ground. The roots, which spilled earth over the floor and exhaled a forest smell, wrapped themselves around the man's body up to his chest, with the only purpose of immobilizing him.
You weren't putting force or brutality, and you were sure the roots were just putting considerable pressure on, like a bandage around an injured arm. But the man didn't seem to notice this, because he kept screaming.
The fear should still be clouding his senses, and you revealed the situation. For it wasn't often that someone was wrapped around by giant roots that moved of their own accord. In your place, you would have reacted that way too.
“Hey, hey” you tried to get closer “It's ok, they won't hurt you and…”
But your speech was interrupted by shrill hum, which cut through the air with force and passed like a bullet in front of your face, shaking a few locks of your hair. The speed were frightening, and for a second your heart stopped in your chest. The fright made you take two steps back immediately, but in a matter of seconds any feeling was replaced by a very strong burning in your left cheek. In the same second, a hot liquid began to ooze from your injured skin like water in a current, spreading pain wherever went.
Two seconds that were able to put you face to face with death. Because that attack was not joking.
The bearded man ran to help the one who was lying on the ground, forcing his freedom between the roots that were now weak due to your distraction.
Unlike you, Diego didn't care about the things he had to do to save his family. He was willing to injure, inflict permanent damage, even killing if that was the only way out. He would have a guilty conscience later, but in the heat of the moment, he wouldn't hesitate. Diego did this to the Commission agents hours ago, and he would do this to you if he had to. As sure as the sky was blue, the Sparrows were the enemy. And he was the hero. Thats it. Two polar opposites, destined to face each other into the death.
And that was why he didn't hesitate to attack when he saw Klaus lying on the floor, screaming as if he were being killed. After getting a small taste of the kind of things your powers were capable of doing, it was pretty clear that you were one of the first ones that needed to go down. So Diego didn't hesitate either when he pulled Klaus off the ground, and wielded yet another dagger. Aiming not to hurt, but to kill.
But love could drive even the smartest minds crazy.
Because when the dagger was thrown in the air, a blue flash invaded the scene and a male body enveloped yours, pushing both of you aside in a rough, protective, intense gesture.
Five Hargreeves was on the stair railing, fighting Jayme, when Klaus's screams grab his attention. He didn't have much time to process what he was seeing, but the moment one of Diego's daggers slashed across your cheek, the primal, visceral instinct he'd felt so long ago, with The Handler on  The Commission, roared through him like an angry beast. So when another dagger was wielded and thrown into the air, he didn't think twice, didn't hesitate, didn't blink.
Dropping everything behind, Five Hargreeves dove into the blue flash, having you as the only focus in mind.
As soon as the crash of his body with yours caused you both to leave the deadly path, the arms, masculine and wide, wrapped around your back as if he were holding the only anchorage on the high seas in the middle of a storm. His heart was pounding in his chest, and as much that adrenaline, primal instinct and rage were bubbling through his body, he still managed to feel his soul sighing in deep relief when felt your warmth again in his arms.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?"
Diego's angry roar seemed to shake the walls, but didn't stop the obstinate, angry look that swallowed Five's expression.
“Diego…” his voice didn't match the situation the Hargreeves found themselves in. His tone was serious, steady, so calm it was terrifying, like the warning of darkness to the light. “Stay away from her.”
His brother's confused and perplexed look couldn't have been more accentuated. And even Klaus, known for being the least serious about situations, looked completely astonished. Five Hargreeves didn't held you like he was preventing a murder. No. He held you like Cerberus should have held the only person he was ever loyal to.
"You are fucking crazy?!" Diego gestured with his hands “Let go the enemy now!”
The Hargreeves have been through a lot, seen a lot. Many of them being absurd, beyond any rationality or law of physics, moments in which they had to deal with situations that were not possible to be of this world. But nothing, and no one, could have prepared Diego and Klaus for what they heard from Five;
"Never."
The moment was dispersed when Viktor appeared in the room, shaking, hurt, out of his mind. His head fell back in a single gesture, his arms opened up and the fists closed, as white lights began to shoot out from within his eyes and chest.
Five Hargreeves knew what that meant.
He didn't think twice before running to the side,  hiding you behind the bar counter and lowering you two bodies to the floor. His body in front of yours, blocking access to the roughest impact in you.
You two had three seconds, three seconds to look into each other's eyes before the flash explodes. And in that three seconds, the only thing that passed in the soul of both of you was the feeling of finally being where should be.
-----------
"They're stupid villains who think they're smart!" Ben was furious in the kitchen, pacing back and forth.
The last few days had passed like this. With Ben angry about the invasion, Ben angry about the fight, Ben angry about Marcus disappearing, Ben angry about... well... he was always angry.
Of all your siblings, he had the worst temper. Fei and Christopher were practically his dogs, going along with all of Ben's stupid plans just because... you really didn't know why they followed him so fervently, but had a theory that it was because they both thought they would have more power when Ben's plans came to fruition.
A hierarchical system that filled the family with toxicity.
On the other hand, there were Jayme and Alphonso. You never really understood the two, but you described them as bullies. A duo who liked the power they had and how they managed to exert it over people.
The only one you could relate to more deeply was Sloane.
"It would have been better if Y/n had made an attack." Alphonso brought your name up in conversation, his gaze full of rancor.
"Fuck off, asshole" It was the only thing you deigned to say, because you didn't have the patience to deal with his comments at the time.
The truth is, since the invasion, you couldn't get him out of your mind.
It was like a drug, an addiction, that had seeped into your blood from the first time you laid eyes on him. There was something there, something you could never explain. He should be the enemy. Your enemy. But…
The way he saved you from the knives, the way his arms wrapped around you. Almost like he already knows how to hold you. How to protect you.
Your heart couldn't slow down whenever your thoughts returned to that man. From the memory of him placing his body in front of you, standing at the forefront of the explosion.
He saved you. Everytime. And there was something that told you he would save you every chance he got.
The truth was…you wanted to see him. Know his name. Talk with him. There was no longer a fiber of your being that saw the situation as your siblingsdid, your body was facing the complete opposite north.
You wanted to touch him, not fight with him.
When time passed, and Luther showed up at the mansion as someone who was kidnapped, you, again, did not see the situation as a beneficial opportunity for your family. But for you.
Suddenly, your entire soul was gripped by a completely unsettling anxiety that made your hands itch, stomach churn, and your legs unable to stay still. Then you were swept by a feeling of deep sadness, as if you'd already experienced what it was like to spend your whole life wanting to see that man and never getting.
There was no more logic, rationality or coherence to what you were feeling, but finding him was as indispensable as breathing.
That's why you volunteered - more like an imposition - that you would be the one to escort Luther home the moment Ben said he could leave.
“It was kind of you to accompany me” The blond man smiled at you, as the two of you walked through the night streets.
"It was nothing." You tried to sound casual, but with every step toward your destination, the more your hands itched, the more your heart was racing, and in a moment, you found yourself picking up the pace to get there faster.
“I have to confess that you were a topic of discussion between my brothers.” Luther laughed, his odd way of bringing up the subject and not mincing words.
But that got your attention. "What do you mean?"
“A-ahem…well…from what I understand, Diego wanted to kill you, but Five stopped him and…”
Five…Five
His name was Five.
Something inside you stirred. An unfamiliar emotion, but one that made a smile rise to yourcheeks.
“Five” you tried to say aloud, and his name just… felt right on your lips.
You went the rest of the way not being able to pay attention to a single syllable Luther was saying. You don't wanted to be rude, but you just… couldn't stop thinking about Five.
“How long before we get there?” you cut off something Luther was saying about Sloane, and the blond eyebrows drawing together in strangeness.
“Actually” he looked at the big hotel in front of him “We already arrived and…”
But you couldn't stop yourself. All of your muscles felt like they had undergone countless electrical discharges, your heart was faster than any living soul has ever been, and your blood was rushing through  your veins like marathon runners. You increased your pace considerably, quickly climbing the steps and opening the doors of that building as if you had just walked through the gates of paradise.
You needed to see him.
Luther came up behind you, giving you a suspicious look and walking towards a bar, where the outlines of several people were talking.
-----------
"I returned." Luther's voice brought Five out of his thoughts, and a part of her brain tried to remember the time his brother had left.
And he didn't find any answers.
To his defence, Five's mind had been elsewhere these days. Moments when he rewound in his mind once, twice, three times. Not even the impending new apocalypse knocking on the door seemed to have any effect on Five. To be honest, he… saw no point in trying to save the world this time. Meeting you once was a miracle, but meeting you again, in an entirely different reality and without The Commission making things difficult, seemed like too much of a luxury for him to ignore.
The truth was that in the first attempt to escape the apocalypse he ended up sending the family to different times, with intervals of years between each one. And, deep down, he didn't know if he could handle trying to take you with him to another reality and end up losing you too.
Five had been through this once before. He knew pain too well not to be willing to risk it.
“What is the enemy doing here?!"
Diego's voice snapped Five out of his thoughts, and an electric current shot through his head and reverberated down to his toes. Immediately, without any hesitation, his eyes flew away, finding not just Luther - whit several bags in hand - but you beside him.
You.
Something inside him ignited, his heart raced and, for a moment, the whole world around him fell away.
But just for a moment, because Diego was already getting up from his seat.
“Hey. Hey!” Five teleported away, once again placing the body in front of you . “What the hell do you think you are doing?”
“What would anyone do to the enemy! What are you doing? Defending a stranger again?!"
“She is not a stranger, Diego. Now be quiet in your place before I have to do it for you.”
"She is not?" Klaus and Viktor said in unison
"I'm not?" Your voice, the only one that mattered to him, came from behind his back, quieter than the others but loud enough for him to hear.
Five turned towards you, turning his back on his siblings. Unlike how he looked at Diego, his eyes held all the softness and attention in the world when they met yours. A small smile appeared at the corner of his left mouth, a secret smile, hidden from the world but revealed only to you.
"It's a long story," he admitted, having no idea how to start. How to tell something that even to him don't make sense.
“I came to see you.” you rewarded his honesty with another truth, a gleam crossing his eyes like shooting stars. “I have time to listen.”
A smile blossomed on his lips, and Five was overcome by the purest feeling of happiness. Without saying anything, or giving anyone satisfaction, his hand laced into yours, and he disappeared with you in the blue flash.
-----------
Any sensible, practical, centered woman, would have laughed at what Five had just told you. Anyone who didn't get carried away by matters of the heart and didn't believe that two people, when destined to be together, are helped even by the wind, would have turned around and walked away.
But you weren't a sensible woman, nor practical, much less centered. Your being was composed of romance, adventure and magic. You fervently believed in destiny, soulmates and that some loves are capable of overcoming the barrier of space and time.
What's more, if all that wasn't enough, you also felt, from your soul to your bones, sensations that couldn't be explained. Feelings he was also saying he felt too. You believed in him. And that fact came as soft as the droplets of dew, as the brightness of the moon.
After his account came to end, with him letting himself be vulnerable in telling all the thoughts that ever crossed his mind about you, the urge to say just one thing screamed your blood rumbling. “You’re no the villain in my story” your words hung in the air.
“I am,” Five's voice brimmed with a liquid honesty that was able to chill your bones, but nothing in his words hinted at remorse for the things he'd already done. “But i'll be the villain for you. Not to you. I'll let worlds burn again if it means keeping you alive. In a problematic way, that I'll never be able to explain, I don't feel guilty about doing something if it means your safety.”
Five Hargreeves expected many things. Many different reactions. Many words of contradiction. But never what happened next.
Your mouth, without any hesitation, joined his in a kiss that was capable of making his world explode. His body was ignited by a fire that swallowed even his soul, washing away all his sins and giving a demon a taste of heaven.
So what was it like to kiss a goddess? An angel, a muse.
If before, without even touching your skin without the interference of clothing, Five would have happily accepted going to hell, now, with your hot mouth melting into his like warm honey, he would accept the torture of eternal fire with a smile on his face.
And when the small kiss intensified into something much bigger, his hands, warm and masculine, wrapped possessively around your waist. There was no going back. There was no turning back. Five would keep you for himself in the same selfishness that a villain steals a princess. And there was no hero in the world capable of pulling you away of his clutches.
“Are you sure that’s what you want?” He found the last bit of strength to let you know when your hands untied his tie “I could really hurt you.”
But all good intentions evaporated when your eyes, eager and full of desire, blinked at him. There was an addictive sweetness in that look. The way your lashes fluttered against your cheeks, the way your eyes held tinges of delicious submission but hid an incendiary fire behind them.
Fucking damn. He wanted you so badly.
"I don't care." Your breathless whisper invaded the room. But he didn't know if you understood the seriousness of the situation.
“Y/n.” his hands cupped your face. “I spent a lot of time contenting just for the way you looked at me. Spending sleepless nights reliving what it was like to feel the contour of your waist in my hand.” His voice was serious, deep, rough like sand scraping against stone. “Do you have any idea of the things I'm going to do to you now that I can finally, finally, have you?” his pitch lowered a few notes, like a predator talking to its prey.
You didn't know it, but only imagination made yours thighs tighten.
“I can destroy you.” his lips went to the foot of your ear, down to the curve of your neck, inhaling  your scent and tasting you. “I can leave your body purple, your breasts bitten, your hips marked by the aggressiveness of mine whenever I enter on you.”
A moan escaped your mouth, fingers tightening on his arms, head lolling to the side.
Oh lord, please he do that.
Five's hands went up to your shoulders, in a touch that became more and more possessive, gluttonous, as if he wanted to swallow you.
“I can spend hours fucking you.” his fingers lowered the straps of your dress, letting the fabric fall unceremoniously to the floor. Five pulled his face away enough to be able to look at your body fully, and a husky growl followed right away. “I can kill you.”
Here, in that moment, Five Hargreeves was giving you one last chance to give up, to make him tame the villain he was and who would destroy you for any other man.
If you slept with Five Hargreeves, you would never stop being his.
"Do it." but you didn't have an ounce of self-preservation in the inner body "please."
You didn't have to beg twice. His hands pulled your legs up, making you place your feet on his hips and hug him with your legs. Your back hit the closed bedroom door as Hargreeves' mouth claimed all it could of his. Twisting your tongue around his, biting and sucking on your bottom lip, he was beginning to mark you as his in a single kiss.
“You have no idea how much I want you.” his confession was more of a hoarse groan, hands fumbling with his belt and lowering the waistband of his pants.
Under other circumstances, he would have sucked you until drive you unconscious, pushing your walls with his fingers until you begged for his cock. But he didn't have the presence of mind to do that now. Not now. Not today. He warned of the consequences of wanting to continue at that moment. But you wanted, you begged, and now he was no longer afraid of being able to fuck you with all the vehemence he needed.
Your moans invaded the room very quickly, your waist, even if limited by the door, moved in his groin, exorcising any common sense and control that Five once had.
He pushed your panties to the side impolitely and entered you in one single, glorious, primal thrust. His cock slid in with extreme ease, being completely soaked by the way your pussy was so slick.
“Oh fucking hell” his growl sent even more waves of pleasure to your uterus, and you pressed your mouth to his neck to keep from screaming.
That's when he withdrew and pushed himself into you. Strong, brute. Hitting until found the bottom of the well. His thrusts began relentlessly, thrusting in and out of you aggressively, possessively, almost animalistic. Five's hands were all over yourbody, fingerprinting every bit of your flesh. The nails digging into your waist when you contracted and squeezed him within your plush walls.
“Fuck. fuck.” his groans mingled with the attrition of the bodies of you two against the door, which sent loud, telltale noises throughout the  hotel.
But you would rather die than stop.
His cock suddenly hit a place that made your moans come out too loud. Tears began to pool in the corner of your eyes, and your toes curled.
“Oh do you feel this, baby?” Five teased you, digging himself as deep as possible anatomically and rubbing the tip of his cock there, eliciting sly, desperate cries from you  "That's your cervix."
Then he went back to fucking you aggressively, this time pulling his chest away from you and digging his hands hard into the flesh of your hips, pulling you towards him at a intensity that could only be described as animalistic.
This was better than anything he had ever tasted in his life. Better than any sin. Better than any whiskey.
His cock desecrated your pussy like it was the only thing that mattered in the world, pulling thick liquids out of you that enveloped him in pasty white rings. Five Hargreeves would ensure that whenever you thought of any man, your mind was invaded by the way he fucked you.
"I will… I will…" your tearful voice blended with the noise of the door slamming and your bodies bumping into each other.
“Thats right, baby” his mouth covered your “cum for me. cum so I can fill that gluttonous pussy with my cum.”
If the way he thrust in and out of you wasn't enough to make you come, his lines had done the job. You came in a glorious explosion of stars, colors and sensations. Your body contracted with absurd force and relaxed like the best of massages. Your arms went limp around his neck, and you could feel his cock tremble and the hot, thick liquid fill your entire pussy.
The noise of the door stopped, his moans calmed down and now the only thing that could be heard was the heavy breathing in the air.
You thought it was over, until Five climbs a hand to your neck and lets out  a broken growl "'You look so good with my hand wrapped around your throat, baby."
His cock moved inside you, moving in and out smoothly, pushing his cum even deeper inside you. Make sure you gobble it all up.
“Did you think we were done, princess?” he chuckled evilly, his lips moving closer until they were inches from yours. "I'm just getting started. I'm going to show you how much I've wanted you this whole fucking time.”

♡ A/N : Heeyyy, sorry again if I take time to write, I try to do my best and be completely satisfied with my work before posting but it’s always difficult, I hope you like what I wrote. English is not the language I speak be indulgent please 🫶🏻
Tumblr media
“Can…can I touch your face ?”
The sudden and hesitant request of Neteyam made you look up in his direction.
“You want…to touch my face ?”
You where looking at him with wide eyes, your finger pointing to yourself and mouth slowly agape. Feeling your eyes on him, Neteyam lowered his head, not wanting to show how embarrassed he was.
To be honest, you were rather surprised by his request. He had never asked you to touch your face, it was a simple request and yet you couldn't do anything about the fact that you were embarrassed. Apparently, he took your silence for a negative answer.
“I understand that you don’t want to. I just…Well…it’s been a while since we’ve been together and…I wondered…” He whispered so quietly, making you forgot for an instant about your insecurities. How could you say no to him?
You got up, crossing the room where there was air that you could breathe, you positioned yourself in front of the boy you loved. A smile appeared on his face.
“Of course you can. But why this request ?”
The eldest of the Sully family suddenly seemed embarrassed by this question, fleeing your gaze.
“It’s that..”
Slowly, his hand came into contact with your (h/c) hair, placing a lock at the back of your little ear. You didn’t let go of his eyes.
“Your eyes on me makes me nervous.”
“Oh, sorry! I-”
“No, don’t look away, that’s not what I meant. I like it when you look at me... I find your eyes beautiful.”
For him, your eyes contained in them a galaxy, your tears seemed to be pearled with stars, in any case, even if they seem beautiful in his thoughts, Neteyam will never let them flow.
You blush slightly at this remark, making the boy smile. This did not prevent you from speaking.
“Do you know what I like about you Nete ?” You asked, receiving only an eyebrow raise from him “What looks like freckles on your face.”
You pointed to the white dotted lines that used to light up in the dark.
“I find it beautiful, it’s like I was watching a starry night, but on a face” you laughed at the end of the sentence.
He smiled at your sweet laugh, looking at you with adoration. Your voice resounded like a sweet poem that would be told to children, surely this one in particular who cast a spell of love on him when you met him.
“Your ears are also very cute, it looks like a cat, but your tail reminds me of a dog” especially when you move it when you are happy, you thought for yourself.
“I have... no idea what it looks like.”
“Buuuttt.. I showed you pictures last time !”
Neteyam seemed embarrassed, not remembering it anymore.
“Ahh it’s okay, I’ll show you back another day.”
You put your hands on his cheeks that you loved so much, forcing him a little to lean forward so that you could see him better. When you directly threatened his personal space, the tip of his nose and ears began to heat up without permission, as if he were immersed in a cloud dream, softened by your delicacy. To have even more physical contact, the boy had to hold your hands with his own, caressing the top with his thumb, notifying how pleasant the fabric of your skin was.
“So, why did you want to touch my face ?” You asked again.
“I just wanted to feel the face of the women I love…” he replied, earning a smile from you.
“And do you like it ?”
You asked, surprising him.
“Of course ! Your face is as kind as your heart…” he said sincerely.
Seeing you smile with a radiance that even the sun would wear glasses, the Na’vi smiled in turn, so much his happiness could be felt that one could believe that his teeth emitted light. He let you get closer to his face, everything was going so fast that he did not hit the moment, and here he is with a kiss on the nose of the girl he loves.
“Do you know what I prefer most about you (y/n) ?”
You shook your head negatively, confused. He moistened his lips, and then observed yours. His fingers slipped to your chin, as if they were trying to find their way on your face, which was an enigma on its own. A small gesture of hesitation was understood on his head, then, a gentle pressure from his hand brought your two faces closer, attracting them dangerously.
The contact of your lips was soft, similar to that of the look that could be worn on the moon. With the joints joined, the kiss was no longer than the duration of the shooting star, and like the shooting stars, it offered him an incredible feeling of luck.
“Everything in you seems straight out of a dream. Nga yawne lu oer.”

"A Blessing from God"
Tumblr media
Pairing:Melissa Schemmenti x Reader
Gender: hurt, very fluff.
Warnlings : (+18) strong words, mention of sex, vulgar language, homophobic coments, church talking and mention of God.
Summary:Melissa decides to accompany Barbara to church one day, she never thought she would find the love of her life there. When she realizes that the priest, meaning, your father, is homophobic, treats you badly and hurts you , decides to defend you from him and take care of you.
DON'T FORGET TO REBLOG ❤️
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-"Come on! come with me to church, I always ask you and you never go! The other day you said you'd be willing to kill for me, so come on, come on Melissa, you'll have a good time, I promise."- Barbara begged her friend for the tenth time in the same day and the redhead looked at her seriously, taking off her glasses and putting aside the notes she was reviewing
-"Barbara, killing someone is easier for me than going to church for the first time in ten years, plus I have a feeling that if I go to church, the moment I set foot inside, I'll set myself on fire or be struck by lightning and I'm too beautiful to die" -The redhead commented, laughing at the sight of her friend's face
-"Please Melissa, my husband won't be able to attend and I don't want to go alone, plus it's not a reunion thing, it's just a day of recreation in the church park, there will be food, games and music. Please think of it as a return for that time I threatened a church member because you asked me to do so to get funds for the school"-The brunette looked at her earnestly, and she sighed
-"Okay, I'll go with you, but only because I love you and because there's food, but if they try to do a group hug or want us to sing together, I'll leave," Melissa said and her friend clapped her hands excitedly
-"Perfect! I'll be waiting for you on Saturday! Really, thank you Melissa, I appreciate it so much" - The eldest replied and the redhead waved her off with her hand.
When Saturday arrived, Melissa tried to think of an excuse not to go, it's not that she didn't believe in God, her house had a couple of crosses and she wore a chain with one around her neck every day, even her family was very religious. Her faith wasn't the problem, she just didn't like going to church, she found it tedious, God was everywhere all the time, not limited to one place.
The redhead sighed, honking her horn at her friend's house and waiting for her to come out so she could drive to church. When they arrived, the two friends were a great contrast, Melissa was serious and frowning without greeting almost anyone, Barbara was smiling from ear to ear waving and talking to everyone. The eldest was very happy to be able to share this with her friend, she liked to be with her and share aspects of her life, especially those that were happy occasions like that one.
After having greeted almost everyone, along with Melissa's complaints about so many people who wated to hug her, they went to the appetizer table. While they were choosing what to eat, something, or rather someone, caught the redhead's attention. A young woman in her twenties something or thirties in a flower dress was teaching and playing with some little kids. The children looked at her adoringly, following and paying close attention to what the girl told them, she smiled the hole time looking at them with great tenderness and exaggerated her expressions to make the children laugh and keep their attention, she even made funny voices and that made the redhead laugh when she heard her talking. The children were entranced by the woman who was teaching them, and Melissa was in the same state, unable to take her eyes off the young woman, she had never seen someone who looked so angelic, even the sunlight seemed to go from her hand every time she moved, accompanying her in every step she took to establish her beautiful smile. Apparently, Melissa had stared at the young lady so much, that she had felt it and looked up scanning the crowd looking for someone, a small smile appeared on the lips of the youngest when she saw the redhead looking at her, she barely nodded her head in greeting, to return her attention to the children. So bewitched was the red-haired woman watching her that she didn't hear the five times her friend called her name, it wasn't until the older one gently tapped her arm that Melissa came back to reality
-"Where were you? I lost you for a moment, I was talking to you and you didn't listen to me"-Melissa turned to see her friend smiling like a fool
-"I was in paradise, I believe the spirit of god came into me and blessed me with a beautiful vision"-Melissa spoke jokingly- "What did you need?"
-"I was telling you that there was going to be a talent show, in case you wanted to go and see"- the eldest spoke and her friend nodded accompanying her to the stage that people had set up in the middle of the venue. As they watched the various "talents," children dancing, groups playing instruments, some comedies, and a puppet show, Melissa couldn't avoid her eyes from wonder off to the woman she'd seen before, who was closer to her than before, because she was also watching the talent show with the children. A particularly horrible singer made Melissa look back at the stage with a disgusted face, her friend laughed at the sight of her
-"I know, he sings horribly, and yet every year he comes back on stage to sing... Years ago, when the pastor's daughter showed up to sing, no one else did it because no one could compete with her, that young woman was a blessing for the ears, everyone always knew that she was the guaranteed winner, no one could overshadow her. But since she no longer performs, many dream of singing like she did..."-Barbara commented, and Melissa looked at her curiously
-"What happened to the pastor's daughter? Why doesn't she sing anymore?" - The red-haired woman asked and followed with her gaze where her friend was pointing, she was surprised to see that she was pointing to the young woman who had caught her attention since she first saw her-"Is that the pastor's daughter?" - She asked and her friend nodded sighing
-"That young woman has been through a lot, she was dating another woman from the church, when her girlfriend cheated on her and she found out, she broke up with her girlfriend, but the girlfriend got angry and told the pastor that they had been a couple for a while. The pastor couldn't bear to have a lesbian daughter so he began to punish her for her 'sin', forbade her to sing in the band where the young woman was, forbade her to participate in the church choir and removed her from all activities where there were other women. He only lets her work taking care of the children, otherwise she has to be by his side all the time... Her mother abandoned her when she was little because she couldn't stand her father anymore, her grandmother took care of her but since she passed away two years ago, she has been alone with him, suffering how he punishes her only because of her sexual orientation. He's a good man to others, but he treats her like garbage. I tried to do something for her, but since he's the pastor, they didn't pay much attention to me. In addition, the other elders and members of the church treat her like the plague because they also think that she is a sinner, as if they were not worse, cheating on their partners, having lovers and stealing money from the church..."-Her friend spoke without holding her tongue, used to speaking freely with her friend. Melissa listened very carefully to everything the eldest said about the pastor's daughter.
-"Let's say hello to her, so you can introduce her to me formally and she doesn't feel left out because some people don't greet her because of who she is" - Melissa commented and her friend agreed by walking next to the young woman
-"Good morning (Y/N)" - Barbara said, catching your attention, making you turn around smiling kindly
-"A good morning indeed dear Barbara, how are you? How is your family?" -You asked sincerely and looked at the redhead too - "Good day for you too, it's nice to see new faces here" - You said smiling at her and Melissa was convinced that miracles did exist, miracle was to see you smile
-"The family is fine, my husband had to work and that's why he didn't come, but I brought a friend to keep me company"-said the eldest waiting her friend to introduce herself, but Melissa was too dumb looking at you to interpret the situation
-"I guess you're Melissa Schemmenti, Barbara talks a lot about you, she always tells me stories from school that make me laugh, I like you even though I didn't know you before"-you replied sincerely smiling and the redhead laughed silly listening to you and clarified her voice
-"I hope she only told you the good things, a pleasure to meet you"-She kissed your cheeks in greeting and made you blush a little
-"Sadly she only told me the good things, although I still think the bad things are more fun to hear" - you replied and the redhead laughed loudly, she didn't waited that answer from you
-"Do you have time? Because I have a lot of funny stories to tell you then..." - She smiled seductively and you couldn't help but see from the corner of your eye how your father approached, making you tense, the eldest saw your change of attitude and turned to find a tall man, dressed in a suit, looking at you with seriousness, without a doubt it was your father, the pastor.
-"Good morning ladies, daughter"-greeted the man, you and Barbara returned the greeting but Melissa didn't, she just looked at him seriously.-"I couldn't help but come to say hello to the new face, it would be nice to see you again in the church, it always makes us happy to have new people" - your father commented and Melissa nodded looking at him with superiority
-"Don't worry, you will definitely see me again, I found something in your congregation that caught my attention enough to keep coming" - commented the redhead with a double meaning looking at you out of the corner of her eye, your father didn't notice thinking she was talking about the church, but Barbara and you did, making you blush, you apologize to them and walked away to continue taking care of the children. The redhead couldn't get another chance to talk to you that day.
Melissa went to church several weeks in a row after that interaction, enduring the pastor's tedious sermons, only to see you for a few minutes and talk to you. Her friend Barbara was happy to spend more time with her friend, even though she knew the true purpose of why she was going to church.
Seeing the redhead so regularly, you began to take a liking to her, she always spoke to you affectionately and made you laugh with her unexpected comments. You never imagined her as a religious woman, but you were happy to see her go to church every week. After talking to her so much, the two exchanged cell phone numbers to, according to her, "make an arrangement to go out so she could tell you more funny anecdotes".
After a couple of casual 'dates' (they weren't dates, but they weren't outings like you used to have with your friends either) you ended up going to school on open house day, Melissa invited you to hang out since according to her, many parents never attended those hours, so it would be a good time to distract yourself and laugh for a while. After you had made a homemade pizza, you went to the school to visit her. You breathed a sigh of relief when you saw a familiar face when you passed Barbara, who looked at you in surprise to see you there. After explaining to the eldest that her friend had invited you, she explained where the redhead was and you went in search of her.
You spent the whole night with her, eating, chatting, taking a tour of the school and her classroom, even playing poker together. Melissa had so many more entertaining and funny stories, you could spend hours listening to her. Unfortunately you had such a good time with her that time was always short, it was never enough. Before you knew it it was time to go home, without much encouragement you said goodbye to her and left.
Melissa was gathering her last belongings when her friend Barbara entered the room, a small laugh escaped the older one when she saw how the redhead smiled, whenever she saw you she smiled much more than usual, even her mood was better
-"Someone's happy... It had never occurred to me that you would invite her here, it's one thing to go to church to see her, but it's another thing to invite her to your work and introduce it to all your colleagues..." - the eldest commented and Melissa raised her shoulders smiling
-"We've become good friends over the past few months, I like her company, she is funny, she is nice to be around, she..."-she started talking without thinking and smiling like a fool thinking about you
-"I think you don't just like her company, I think you like her... Could it be that Melissa Schemmenti is in love with the pastor's daughter?" - The older one joked and Melissa just laughed
-"Don't talk nonsense Barbara, let's go or they're going to close the school with us inside" - The redhead said and walked into the parking lot with her
-"Since you're such good 'friends', did she tell you that tomorrow is her birthday?" - Barbara asked and the redhead denied -"they are going to celebrate it in a restaurant, you should come with me, I'm sure it will make her very happy to see you there"-The redhead nodded excitedly but couldn't help the pain she felt at having to find out from someone else that it was your birthday and that you weren't the one who invited her.
The next day, the red-haired woman dressed in her finest clothes and went to the address her friend gave. It was a very fine restaurant and with almost all the tables occupied, in one of them, there was you, your father, a girl with a baby that she didn't know and some people from the church, Barbara hadn't arrived yet. At the end of the table sat your father and next to him you, with a very serious face and she saw that you were uncomfortable, whenever he was close to you, you looked uncomfortable.
Melissa came to your side smiling and hugging you from behind, she hoped that it would make you happy to see her, but you only looked surprised and a little sad
-"Melissa... What are you doing here?" - You whispered and didn't hug her back, that hurt a little bit but she didn't let it show
-"Barbara told me that today was your birthday, since you never told me or invited me, I thought I would surprise you" - commented the redhead seeing how your eyes were a little watery-"Doesn't it make you happy that I'm here?"- she asked with pain in her voice
-"It's not that, I'm happy to see you" - you replied quickly-"it's just that..."
-"Melissa!" - Your father interrupted you to greet the redhead, who barely looked at him, she didn't like your father and she didn't do anything to hide it-"It's good to see you here, I asked my daughter who she wanted to see on her birthday but she didn't tell me anyone, so I invited who I thought she would want to see, sorry for not thinking of you."-Your father said in a kind tone that hid contempt
-"I didn't tell you anyone because I didn't want to celebrate... And you came up with the idea of inviting my ex with his partner and his son, among people I barely talked to...Thank you for that, father"-You commented sarcastically, you weren't in a good mood, you hated your birthday, and your father knew it
-"I invited more people, but they didn't want to come because they know what you're... And I only invited her because I thought she would be a good influence to you, you used to be very good "friends" and she is now with a man, I invited her to see if her way of being sticks with you"-He commented defiantly and you sighed, it was too early on the night and there were too many people to argue so you just put your head down, there was no point in responding to that comment. Melissa stood between you and your father, acting as a human shield with her body, preventing your father from looking at you
-"Really? Is the woman who not only had sex outside of marriage, but committed adultery and cheated, a good example? A woman whose only reason to confess her sin is that she couldn't abort that child because she realized too late that she was pregnant of her lover , that's your good example? I knew you were homophobic but not an idiot and a moron too-Melissa said angrily and turned to look at you, but you were no longer behind her, you were no longer in the restaurant. After searching for you for a few minutes, she found you outside the restaurant hugging yourself because of how cold the night had gotten. She carefully walked over and pulled her leather jacket over your shoulders
-"hey... Are you okay honey?"- She asked with real concern and saw that you were crying when you turned to look at her
-"I wanted you here... I wanted to spend my birthday with you, you're probably the only person I want to spend it with... But I didn't invite you because I knew this was going to happen, I hate celebrating my birthday, I don't have anyone to spend it with, I don't have my mother, I don't have my friends anymore and thanks to my father no one from the church wants to be seen with me. I hate my birthday because since my grandmother died, there is nothing about this date that makes me happy, there is no one to celebrate with me, celebrate me. This date is only useful to tell me everything I've been doing wrong all the years of my life. I didn't invite you because I feel like you're the only good thing left in my life and I didn't want to ruin that by getting you together with my father"-You sighed in pain and teary eyes, immediately the redhead hugged you to her chest, hiding you in her embrace
-"I'm sorry sweetheart, I didn't know, you don't deserve any of this, your father doesn't deserve to have you" - she whispered and kissed the crown of your head-"I've got an idea. What if we leave right now? We're already outside..."-she smiled
-"Where? What about my dad" - You asked just walking away from her so you could see her face but still hugging her
-"He can suck it, let's go home, I can cook for you, maybe gnocchi, I remember you telling me it was your favorite food when your grandmother cooked for you. We can watch a movie. If you want we can invite Barbara and the guys from school, you know they love you, maybe put a karaoke on TV and sing a little, I also have ice cream at home. What do you think?-The redhead asked with a big smile looking into your eyes, she wanted to do everything to make you happy. Without you being able to think or process what you were doing, you kissed her. No one had ever cared enough about you to defend you from your father and take care of you as she did. The redhead was shocked and stood still, causing you to pull away in embarrassment. Even if she didn't reciprocate the kiss, she did grab your waist tighter
-"I'm so sorry Mel, I don't know what got hold of me, I wasn't thinking clearly... I'm sorry..." -You murmured quickly and she caressed your cheek affectionately
-"Don't apologize sweetheart, you didn't do anything wrong, but is better if we go home, then we can give each other as many kisses as you want, but not here because your father can come out at any moment to yell at us, and I don't know if this time I will be able to contain my desire to hit him"-The redhead spoke in her strong Phili accent and you nodded as you got into her car.
After a short trip, the two arrived at Melissa's house. You really appreciated what she was doing for you, she was a woman who was very protective of her personal space and didn't invite just anyone to her home, you felt privileged to be there. While she was cooking, you looked at the pictures that were all over the house, she looked so happy in all of them, even the ones where she was fighting with her sister. Your body jumped a little when you felt the redhead hug you from behind, she ran her hands around your waist and rested them on your abdomen, resting her head on your shoulder
-"The food is almost done" - she whispered in your ear, you smiled and relaxed in her arms leaning more against the woman's body - "How are you feeling? Do you want me to invite the others?" - she asked softly and you shook your head
-"No, I just want to be with you, if that's okay with you. I'm calmer now, I feel relaxed and safe..." You commented sincerely, and the redhead smiled as she heard you.
-"It's your special day, we'll do everything you want"-the eldest whispered and kissed your cheek, carefully, she reached into her pocket and took out a small delicately wrapped package and put it in your hands-"happy birthday darling" - you smiled looking at her and when you opened it, you found a chain with a gold cross, you looked at the woman's neck and saw that she was missing her cross, the gift was her necklace, the one she wore every day and that you always admired because of how delicate it looked. You examined the gift, you saw that it was engraved "God loves you just as you are." You smiled more with your eyes a little watery
-"It's beautiful"-You whispered smiling, she took it out of your hands and placed it on your neck gently, giving you a small kiss on your lips, barely noticeable but it made you blush
-"Now you'll have something to remind you of me and remind you that there's nothing wrong with you, you're perfect" - she whispered and kissed your forehead, her thumb wiping a small tear that run down your cheek, then she hugged your waist-"Now let's eat before it gets cold"
Carefully and still hugging you, she led you into the kitchen and made you sit on the counter while she put a large portion of gnocchi on a plate with a great amount of cheese. Delicately she spread your legs and positioned herself in the middle with the plate in hand, with the fork, pricked a couple of potato doughnuts, blew them and put them in your mouth for you to eat, it was fucking delicious. You stayed like that for a long time, the two eating from the same plate in comfortable silence while looking at each other adoringly.
When you finished, Mel put the plate on the counter and took your hand gently caressing it
-"Would you like us to take a bath together? Maybe watch a movie in bed together after that..." - she whispered and kissed your hand-" or do you want to do it alone?... "
-"I would like do it with you"-You answered just in a whisper and she nodded going up the stairs with you and guiding you to the bathroom of the room, once there, she began to undress after having filled the bathtub. For your part, the only thing you could do was admire her, she was a beautiful woman and her body was too, her body was not like a young woman's, it was the body of a experienced lady, some marks here and some there, but that only made her more perfect. Melissa turned to see if you were undressing, but when she saw how you looked at her, a shiver ran through her body, you didn't look at her with lust, you looked at her with all the love in the world, as if she were the most beautiful woman in the whole universe. Carefully she came over and hugged you by the waist making you come out of your trance, delicately she put her hands under your blouse and helped you undress, then together you got into the bathtub, she behind and you in front of her, resting your back on her chest and closing your eyes. Not a word was shared, but it wasn't necessary at all. Mel carefully stroked your hair, massaging and washing it, kissing your shoulder every now and then
-"Mel?" - Your voice broke the comfortable silence, she hummed encouraging you to continue. You turned your head sideways to look at her out of the corner of your eye, and she smiled- "Why do you do all this?... The food, letting me come to your house, confronting my father, the necklace, the bath, the affection?..."
-"Because you deserve it, you deserve to be celebrated and happy, you deserve to feel loved, you deserve all the love..."-The redhead took your cheek and caressed it- "You deserve to be happy and I want to be one of the reasons that make you smile" - She smiled looking into your eyes and kissed you gently, as if you had all the time in the world, as if nothing and no one else existed. She kissed you like if you were all she needed to live. You had a long time kissing and enjoying each other's company, until the water got cold and you had to get out. Melissa carefully dried your body and then gave you one of her squared shirts to wear to sleep. Together you lay on the bed and you snuggled up on her chest to watch a movie, before you knew it, you had already fallen asleep while she was hugging you and playing with your hair. The best birthday of your life.
The next morning, you woke up late and Melissa was no longer in bed, you carefully went down watching her make breakfast while she hummed a song, you carefully hugged her from behind and rested your head on her back, the redhead smiled and turned to hug you against her chest kissing the crown of your head, the aroma of food and her perfume relaxed you more
-"I don't think I've ever slept so relaxed and peaceful in my life, I feel safe when you're near me" you murmured and kissed her lips softly
-"I'm glad to hear that... By the way, you look beautiful in my shirt" - she commented and you laughed against her lips-"We need to have breakfast quickly tho, I have one more birthday surprise" - she murmured smiling and you frowned
-"Another? You've already given me a gift and done a lot for me, I don't want anything else" - you replied and she made you sit at the table serving you a plate
-"Believe me, you want to see this gift" - she whispered with a knowing smile. After you had breakfast, you changed and went out to where the redhead had planned, she didn't want to give you any clues. She parked at the church and that confused you
-"Mel, I don't want to go to church today, I know it's Sunday but I don't want to cross paths with my father... Not after he saw me go with you last night, a woman he noticed I was attracted to. He will put us to shame."-You whispered and watched as the redhead opened your door, reaching out for you to take her hand
-"Do you trust me?" -She asked and you nodded taking her hand and getting out of the car -"Then come on, I promise not to leave you alone and if you feel bad, we can leave."
The two of you walked through the doors, seeing how your father was already on stage. After welcoming everyone, he said something that left you frozen
-"Since today, I will step down from my position as priest, I have not fulfilled my duties as a loving father or as a loving guide of this church, for which I ask forgiveness. So I'll be replaced by a new priest..."-After he had finished introducing the new priest, he stepped off the platform and walked over to you, his hands in a fist and his teeth clenched. Never in your life did you imagine that your father would leave his position, much less admit in front of everyone, what a bad father he had been. He would have preferred you to disappear than leave his position and lose his influence. You knew he didn't feel any real regrets from his heart, but it was progress anyway.
From one second to the next, your father was in front of you, watching Melissa hold your hand. He glared at the redhead angrily
-"Are you happy? I did everything you said..." - He muttered under his breath
-"Almost, you need to sincerely apologize to your daughter" - The older woman commented authoritatively
-"I'm..." - Your father started to speak but gritted his teeth as Melissa hugged you around the waist, he shook his head and narrowed his eyes looking at you -"My daughter, what are you doing? Think things through, I already told you that if you start dating her or any other woman, I don't want you to go back home or to church, you'll become a bad influence, a bad person if you do this. You won't go to heaven, please think about it... You don't want God to stop loving you, huh?"-You sighed listening to him, it was always the same, manipulative shit to make you feel bad about yourself.
-"Okay, that's enough" - Melissa stopped him - "I see you're not going to apologize, so say goodbye to your position forever, also to all your 'powerful friends' and to your reputation, I'll make sure you don't get taken back in any church around the world. If your daughter wants to go back to church, she can do so, but you can't. Oh! And your daughter isn't coming home anymore, you know why? 'Cause she's going to move in with me and we'll have a lot of lesbian sex all day long"-The redhead said, facing your father. The color left the man's face, Melissa knew something you didn't, something that could ruin your father's reputation and life forever. He no longer had power over you, which made you feel relief and proudly stick out your chest
-"You know what dad? I may no be the best person, but I'm far from the worst. All my life you made me feel ashamed of myself, you made me feel that because I loved someone different that what you wanted, I didn't deserve to be loved by God or anyone else. I'd rather go to hell for having loved than for having hated like you hate me. I hope that now that you've lost your position, you really see what people think of you... I hope you change your horrible way of being, because you do have things to change, things that should make you ashamed, but I have nothing to be ashamed of. Thanks to Melissa I saw that, because she really loves me, not like you, who only pretended to show me affection when there were people around. Good luck living alone, you don't even know how to make toast... And one more thing, I want this to be the last thing you remember about me"-You commented and kissed the redhead very passionately and then walked out of the church hugging Mel.
When you two got in the car, the adrenaline left your body and you started laughing nervously
-"You threatened a priest, my father, for me?"- you asked looking at Mel and she nodded as she drove-"What if you go to hell?"
-"I had already earned my place in hell years ago, but I'd better make sure of it by defending my favorite girl from her abusive father" - Melissa smiled and placed one of her hands on your thigh while still driving
-"Thanks for that... For all of the things that you have done for me... But Mel, it is true that I have a place to stay with you? - You asked barely audible and she nodded
-"Yeah hon, we're going to go get your stuff right now" - she smiled as she stopped at a traffic light and gave you a peck on your lips- "I've already experienced once what it's like to sleep next to you, I'm not going to let you go... Also, we have to inspect every corner of the house together, if you know what I mean..."-she said with double meaning and laughed at your face , ypu were exited and very eager. This woman turned your life upside down from one moment to the next. From the first time you saw her, she was a true blessing for your life.
Jeans
pairing: spencer reid x f!reader
summary: you have a breakdown over finding new jeans
a/n: hello! my first fic on this acc I have a marvel acc that I have neglected so I'm starting fresh! This is for the girlies with killer thighs who I assume have had the same problem as me finding the jeans that fit properly!!!!
warnings: probably mistakes English isn't my first language and also I haven't written anything for months so I'm rusty
Tumblr media
___________________________________________
"Fuck!"
Spencer pokes his head from the bathroom at your profanity, checking to see if everything is okay.
"Sweetheart, you okay?"
You look at your boyfriend and he can tell something is wrong, not because he's a profiler but because there's tears threatening to spill.
"These are the fourth jeans this month alone."
The jeans you've just now ripped were the last ones you've had, which only could mean one thing. Jean shopping was necessary.
"Baby, that's okay I'll take you to get new ones. It's okay."
Spencer knows he said something wrong when you give him the look - annoyance and frustration in your eyes.
"You just don't get it."
Maybe you sound dramatic, and yeah, you know he wants to help, but that wasn't what you wanted to hear so you dramatically flop on the bed and sigh.
"Okay, tell me what can I do for you?" You groan into your pillow.
"Nothing Spence, let's just go get new jeans."
Spencer texts Emily that there has been an emergency and he won't be able to come to work today, which you tried to stop him from doing because this could wait - apparently not.
"Let's go." Spencer grabs your hand and leads you out.
Spencer severely miscalculated the amount of time it would take you to find jeans - you did tell him this is a process, but he didn't expect that after 3 hours you've gotten 0 jeans.
"I give up. This is hopeless. " You walk out of the fitting room trying so hard not to cry, but this always happens.
"They don't fit properly everywhere. They are either too tight on thighs or they are too wide on my hips or both, or they're too long or short, they have no pockets and if they do they are too small. Oh and get this, when you go to the plus-size store, they get more expensive. Why?I can't even order anything online because the sizes are different everywhere and I-" Spencer pulls you into his chest and caresses your back, drawing circles trying to calm you down.
He never thought about this because he's never had that issue and now it makes sense you've been upset this morning. Now he was even upset at himself for not understanding earlier.
"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I'm sorry I didn't understand. Tell you what, let's take a break for ice cream or whatever you want."
Sometimes, you don't believe Spencer is real and even better he's yours.
"Okay sounds good."
While taking a break, Spencer has been thinking about you and how stressful this is for you both physically and mentally.
"What you thinking about so hard, Doc." Spencer chuckles at your pet name for him, you love Back to The Future and Spencer, well he has some issues with how time travel was done, but he likes the pet name anyways.
"I'm thinking how to fix this. Why are jeans so hard to find? That's not fair."
"Spence, you can't just fix the system. This is just how it is. Besides, this wasn't so bad you were there."
Spencer frowns. How many times have you gone on a hunt for jeans without him, if this was "not so bad" how does it look when he's not here.
"Baby, that doesn't help. Is there anything I can do for you?" Spencer asks, holding your hand.
"Uh, you're the fbi call every single company that makes jeans and tell them to make better jeans." you joke, but Spencer gets an idea.
"You know what you're right."
You look at him quizzically, trying to figure out what your genius is going to do.
"Don't worry about it let's go home we're done for today."
*some days later*
Spencer gets the notification that his package is almost home, and he's genuinely excited for you to get this gift. Unfortunately, he won't be there to open it with you, but he's sure you'll love it.
As if on cue his phone rings.
"Hey, Spence, something arrived in your name, I didn't know you ordered anything?" you look at the box in your hands trying to figure out what it is.
"Yeah, I forgot to tell you." you scoff, Spencer is literally unable to forget anything.
"Okay, I lied, that's a surprise for you, but promise not to open it before I'm able to face time you okay?" Spencer can feel your excitement and impatience from miles away, but after some sweet talking, you finally promise not to even take a peek.
"Loverboy, the surprise go well?" Derek asks, ruffling Spencers hair.
"I don't know yet. I am like 90% sure that she'll like my surprise but there's always a chance she doesn't so." Everyone rolls their eyes at his reply and continue talking about the case.
Finally, after getting to the hotel, Spencer showers and calls you, excited to have you see the surprise.
"Hi, honey." Spencer chuckles at seeing you with a box opener in your hand and box inches from you.
"I wasn't gonna open it."
"Sure you weren't. Go on, baby." You huff and open the box carefully, hoping there wasn't anything breakable. You might have shook it a couple of times but he didn't need to know that.
Your eyes open wide in surprise, you look at the box and then at Spencer and then again at the box.
You pull out the pair of jeans from the box and look at them.
"Try them on."
"Spence what is this?" you ask looking through the box counting 6 pairs of jeans with no tag or size on them.
"They're jeans for you! Remember how you said I'm the fbi and I should call everyone and tell them to make better jeans?" the disbelief on your face makes him smile.
"Well I didn't do exactly that. But... I did use some connections in the fbi. Anyways try them on"
Not knowing what else to do, you just do that.
"Spencer."
"These are perfect like they fit like they were made for me."
"It's because they were, and if some of them don't fit, let me know if I need to have a talk with the person to fix them."
You can't believe your boyfriend literally went out of his way and had someone make you a perfect pair of jeans.
"I... I don't know what to say. You're literally the best and no these are perfect. How?"
"Well, I had Garcia research some people and then I found them and then had Derek meet some of them to threaten them to do a good job and yeah."
He says that like it's the most normal thing to say, like he's listing groceries.
"I love you. Not because of the jeans just-"
"I know, I know, but try all of them on. Also, I personally wouldn't mind if you lost the shirt you know because it's gonna overshadow the jeans you know?"
"Spencer!"
[the end]
Imagine dating both Alucard and abridged Alucard
Tumblr media
imagine it's just a normal day for the Hellsing Manor. You're doing your normal routine cleaning up the integra's off while She sits at her desk and does her paperwork.
Until Seras barges in, holding Two Alucard's. Your eyes widen and the broom falls from your hands. One had a huge grin on his face, while the other stands there with an irritated look.
"what. the. fuck" is all you can say. The one with the grin seems to smile more you. "ah! now who is this ravishing, little slut" He says, you knew right away he was not your Alucard. He's voice was slightly different and his language that of an immature teenager who just figured out he could curse.
Your Alucard, who seemed to not like the idea of his imposter calling you names, immediately pulls his pistols out. Tone harsh and cold "what did you call my Darling?" He growls. Seras quickly tries to defuse the situation while You and Integra stand there with shocked faces.
______
It took some time to get used to having two Alucard's. apparently, the imposter who you named Card, lost his Y/n before they could have a relationship. That made you slightly sympathetic for him. Alucard did NOT like having another him around, especially someone who was so foul mouthed to you. He slowly grew accustom to it.
Especially when it made you so happy to have two vampires swoon over you and pamper you with kisses early in the morning.
Not to mention the bedroom ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Alucard is soft and gentle, whereas card is brash and rough. You have the best of both worlds in the bedroom, and both are absolutely kings at aftercare. Theyll clean you up, make sure you're comfortable, making you a hot bath or whatever you need before cuddling you to sleep.
Conversation with Card is weird, his universe is very chaotic, not at all what you assumed from your own dimension.
"soo...you only turned seras for..." "her big tits, yup ( ͡º ꒳ ͡º) "
You can only blink at him, wondering how exactly his mind works. Integra HATES having two vampires. when their together, Cards energy starts to interfere with Alucard's before their both being dipshits and fucking shit up.
It's like having Twin toddlers running amok the manor. Seras is constantly confused, she has no idea who's who until one of them is calling her things like 'sugar tits' or something provocative, then she threatens to call you and the two seem to immediately coward away.
Card is not one to go against your fury, even in his own universe before your death, you could scare the devil himself and it appears the same is in this universe.
_______
Sometimes, at night when Alucard is on a mission, you and card take night walks around the garden. He becomes...softer. Sadder. He talks about missing you in his world, how he should have told you how he felt before your death. You only frown, holding his hand in your own..
You know he'll have to return to his own world soon, and that breaks you. because you've grown so used to your banter with him and Alucard. None the less, you enjoy your time with him the best you can.
Alucard won't admit it, but he enjoys having another version of him around. He and card actually fucked Infront of you before, for your enjoyment of course, but that stays in the bedroom.
Alucard enjoys having someone who can match his strength and his power.
When the day comes to say goodbye to card, you're trying not to cry, handing him a small bracelet with yours and Alucard's name on it. Card scoffs and says his not a child, but you don't miss the way his eyes turn glossy and how he tucks the gift into his coat.
Your two vampires shake hands, staring into each other eyes almost talking to each other telepathically. Afterwards, Card gets down on one knee, cupping your face and gently kissing you goodbye, gently wiping your tears as he does so.
"I will not forget the love you have given me, i know if My Y/n were to still be living. She would be Just like you" he says, and for the first time...he's serious. no jokes, jabs or provocative language.
You can only smile as Alucard tugs you back to his hip, smiling. "it was a pleasure to get to know you..." he rumbles out to his counterpart as he leaves through the wormhole, his grin the last thing you see before it closes and it's just you and Alucard standing in the night..
______
you slowly learn to move on from having Card in your life, everything of his you owned being boxed up and hidden away into the back shelf of the closet. Both you and Alucard sometimes sit in the garden at night, wondering how Card is doing and if he's safe, his time with you affected the way you both feel. Alucard misses his brash behavior and the way it would turn his master red. But he also misses how happy he saw you with having him around.
Soon, it becomes a distant memory you both share, especially once Alucard turns you, as time goes on. You learn to hold his memory close and continue your lives together...
In all fairness...
Tumblr media
A/N: Yeah, this isn't beta'd. Or even glanced over a second time. English isn't my native language so don't draw and quarter me over a couple of mistakes, I beg thee, oh Lordship.
Someone had the audacity to put this completely relatable little sentence on this hellsite. And then I wrote this. I couldn't help myself and I'm not apologizing. xoxo ❤️
Pairing: Walter Marshall x reader (you)
Summary: It's date night, and you found the perfect outfit... In hindsight it may have been a little too perfect.
Word count: 1.8k
Warnings: NSFW, SMUT, 18+, MINORS DNI, very impatient Marshall who has a thing for fishnets, light bondage, light daddy kink, unsafe sex (be smarter, folks!), use of pet names, creampie, manhandling, oral (m receiving), facial, ehh... hmu when I missed something.
-----
You look at yourself in the mirror one more time, a little unsure of your outfit. The skirt is going to be a hit – you’ve worn it before, he loved it. The same goes for the blouse and the underwear you have on. But the tights… Somehow, every last pair you own is either in the laundry or has sustained serious damage in obvious places. This’ll have to do. One last touch-up on your red lipstick and you’re good to go.
“Hey, ready for din…” Your unsmiling, 6 feet tall, 200 something pounds of muscle boyfriend sure looks cute when his mouth falls open like that.
“More than ready,” you reply coyly – as if you care about dinner. Then again, it has been a while since you’ve been out on an actual date, because his work interfered with that the past three or so times. You know he feels guilty; he always does. Sometimes he wonders if he should let work slide more often, so he could stay with you, but you always assure him it’s okay, and you always mean it. His job is important. This time, to apologise to you, he’s made reservations at your favourite restaurant. There is one problem, and that is that your man seems in no way inclined to walk you to the car.
“Babe, we’ll be late.” You try to push him away from the door but – of course – he won’t budge. He’s twice your size, what the hell did you expect?
“We’ll order something.” And with those words, he steps into your apartment and slams the door shut behind him. His hands are heavy on your hips, pushing you back into the wall opposite your front door, face inching closer to yours with every passing second. At the last moment, you turn your face away from his, earning you a low growl that seems to vibrate through your entire body. Within a split second your world is turned upside down – quite literally, because he throws you over his shoulder and carries you to the bedroom as if you weigh nothing, landing his hands firmly on your arse a few times. You shriek at the impact.
“Are you going to behave tonight?” He asks as he throws you onto the bed. You love seeing him like this, arms crossed, standing over you all tall and broad and threatening. Without thinking, you let your legs fall open until a large hand appears on each knee to push them back together. “I guess not, then.”
You lick your lips as he fumbles with the buckle of his belt before he pulls it from the loops and – to your surprise – uses it to strap your thighs together.
“Knees.” It very much isn’t a question. You would have been more than happy to oblige, but his hand was already wrapped around your upper arm, hauling you off the bed and dragging you onto your knees on the floor. It’s almost reflexive, the way you reach your hands up to unbutton his jeans. Even the thick fabric can’t hide the size of the equipment beneath it. He’s so big you can’t wrap your fingers around him, and two hands aren’t enough to cover his full length. Apparently, you’re not fast enough for Marshall’s liking tonight because before you free his cock from his pants, he’s already impatiently tapping the tip against your lips. Your tongue darts out to taste the precum he’s spreading on your lips, teasing the head of his cock in the process. When your look up at him, he’s looking back at you, with one eyebrow raised, telling you very clearly that he won’t appreciate an attitude tonight. As much as you’d love to see him make good on all those non-verbal threats in his eyes, your lips part and you take head into your mouth. Somehow, every remnant of your signature bratty attitude disappears when you’re sucking dick, and from the way Marshall looks at you, you can tell that he knows.
“Good girl,” he growls when you take him deeper and deeper. Your fingers desperately try to wriggle their way between your thighs to relieve some of the growing ache there, but because your legs are strapped together, you can’t reach. A pitiful whine escapes your throat and Marshall chuckles at the sound.
“Serves you right,” he says with a devious laugh, “fucking cock tease.” You’re barely an inch away from having all of him stuffed down your throat. It takes a few more slow, steady strokes until your nose is pressed against him. It always feels like a victory, especially when he’s standing over you, moaning like he’s losing his mind and visibly trying everything within his power to stand still. This time, it’s him who pulls away to return to more shallow strokes to pull him over the finish line.
“Open.” Again, not a request. You can tell he relishes the sight of you on your knees in front of him, mouth open and tongue out, waiting… Most of his cum ends up on your tongue, and you swallow all of it while keeping your eyes locked on his. He’s biting his lip, letting you know just how much he’s loving this. When he pulls you off the ground again – only far enough to turn you around and bend you over the edge of the bed – you can no longer ignore the mess between your legs. Since you found out that you couldn’t reach down to help yourself, you’ve been doing everything you can to tune out that aching feeling, but the accidental friction from Marshall’s manhandling allows the sensation to wriggle its way back to the front of your mind. A few quick slaps against your arse surely don’t make things better. For a moment, you’re hopeful that he’ll be kind to you, that giving him his means he’ll give you yours, but you know him better than that. Something you did tonight annoyed him – or rather; turned him on so much that he decided he couldn’t wait to have you until after dinner – and he’s going to use you until he feels you’ve made up for that mistake. You wouldn’t be with him if you liked it any other way. The sudden feeling of the chilly air in the room on your behind drag you back to reality. Marshall has shoved your skirt out of the way and his hands are kneading the flesh of your ass. Tenaciously, you might add. You could easily get lost in the feeling – which is a good thing, because to say Walter Marshall loves your ass would be the understatement of the century, which means he spends a disproportionate amount of the time you spend together touching it in some way or another. Today, however, his quality time with your butt doesn’t last long. First, the snapping of thread as strong hands turn the many tiny holes in your fishnets into a single, much larger hole. Then the rough tips of his fingers between your legs, pulling your panties to the side. And lastly a whistle, followed by a chuckle when one of those fingers slips between your folds and almost immediately deep into your dripping core. A second finger slips in just as easily and for a delicious minute they work that heavenly spot inside of you, naturally retreating far too soon, just as you’re squirming with pleasure and begging him to go on.
“Not yet, love.” His words are kind now, knowing you’ll beg for his cock the same way you just begged for his fingers. He teases you with the tip of his cock, laughing when you try to back into him. A few fierce smacks on your ass make short work of that behaviour. Without a fuss or seemingly any real effort at all, he gathers your hands behind your back and keeps them there. He only needs one hand to firmly secure both of your wrists. It’s a bit of an adjustment; normally he’d use his belt, but that’s otherwise occupied at the moment. It takes him a single thrust to drive his entire cock into you and you gasp at the sudden intrusion. At the same time, he groans loudly; because your legs are fixed together, you feel much tighter around him than you normally do, and the feeling is driving him wild. You squirm, whine, and clench your walls around him in an attempt to get him to move.
“Use your words, darling,” he chuckles almost sadistically as he stays still inside of you.
“Fuck me,” you mewl, your voice trembling almost as much as your legs.
“Beg.”
“Please, daddy, fuck me.” The words are out before you realize, and there’s no way of taking them back. Luckily, Marshall doesn’t seem to mind at all.
“Shit, baby, I had no idea you were going to ask that nicely.” The pace he sets is brutal; the kind of rhythm you’ve never been able to take on your best days, but the position you’re in prevents him from hitting you as deep as he normally does. For the first time, you realise how much this man always holds back so he won’t hurt you – and you suspect he probably still isn’t fucking into you at full speed or strength. The thought that Walter could literally rip you apart with his dick makes you go absolutely feral, and you beg him to fuck you harder. You have nowhere to go tomorrow, and walking is overrated, anyway. He seems more than happy to oblige; his thrusts go from ‘hard’ to tiptoeing the line between where ‘rough’ ends and ‘cruel’ begins. Just as you’re beginning to regret your request, he can’t take it anymore. With a feral grunt and vicious final thrust, he spills his seed deep inside of you before pulling out.
He takes a moment to watch his cum drip from your battered cunt before he loosens the belt a little, giving you just enough space to spread your knees as far as necessary for you to reach between them and touch the swollen little pearl between your legs. All he does is slip two fingers into your gaping pussy, curl them so they brush past your g-spot and watch as you fuck yourself stupid on his fingers.
“You made a mess, baby,” he whispers in your ear when he pulls you into his chest after you’re done riding out your high. He can’t help but laugh. Walter loves seeing you like this; all fucked out and messy, mascara running, lipstick smudged – there’s probably more of the stuff on his cock right now than on your face…
“That’s your fault,” you sigh.
“In all fairness,” he chuckles as he kisses your neck, “you’re the one who showed up wearing these.” He playfully plucks at the threads of your fishnets. Oh…
“So…you’re telling me that you’re dropping lunch off…for Steve,” Robin looked between the brown paper bag you’d set on the counter and you, blinking rapidly a few times, “Steve Harrington?”
“You are definitely overthinking this, Robs,” you offered her a small smile as you pushed the bag towards her, “he’s still my best friend, and he still needs to eat. I know he gets spacey about remembering to grab lunch so I wanted to make sure he had something.”
“But you’re not dating anymore…” her voice dropped slightly, as a strange look crossed her features. You swallowed thickly, willing the stinging at the back of your eyes to go away, “w-why are you still friends with him?”
“I know it seems weird,” you shrugged lightly, “and maybe it is…but I dunno. Steve has been my best friend since we were just kids. We tried dating, and apparently we aren’t in love with each other. We just love each other…as friends. And that’s…umm, okay.”
“He broke up with you-”
“It was kind of mutual-”
“Hmm, pretty sure it wasn’t,” she insisted as you bit the inside of your cheek. Yeah, no, she was totally right. Steve had broken up with you, but it hadn’t been…that bad. Alright, if you were being honest with yourself, it was that bad. But he hadn’t done it in a mean or harsh way, in fact the way he broke up with you was almost…gentle. You cried, unable to stop yourself, but what you hadn’t seen was how he broke down in tears as soon as he’d left your house. You offered Robin a tight lipped smile before shrugging lightly, “babe-”
“It’s okay. We’re friends…we’ll always be friends,” you promised softly while your heart told a different story, “please just…make sure he gets it.”
“Yeah,” she gave your hand arm a gentle squeeze as you walked out of Family Video, head down as tears threatened to run down your cheeks. Robin watched you go with a frown, unsure of just what she should do…she wished she could do something for her friends.
Blake Anderson was…fine. He was completely and utterly fine. And that was both the problem and upside of being on a date with someone like him. He was handsome in that typical ex-jock type of way, he was decently interesting and actually asked you questions and didn’t make the conversation all about him, he didn’t force a kiss on you, instead giving you a polite hug. He’d paid for dinner, insisting that since he asked you he was going to pay, he’d picked you up and dropped you off at home. Realistically, he should have been a dream.
But in reality, he wasn’t anything that you wanted. Because he wasn’t Steve.
A heavy sigh escaped your lips as you watched him drive away until he was out of the neighborhood, before walking up the driveway. You were almost at the door, but a voice calling out your name caused you to pause and turn around.
There was Steve, standing across the street in front of his house, watching you intently. There had been so many upsides to living across the street from your best friend; these days more often than not it felt like a bunch of downsides.
“Hey,” he quickly jogged across the street, and you couldn’t help but laugh when you noticed that he was in his slippers, and sleep clothes. You offered him a small smile as he stopped in front of you, his whole face lit up, “was that…Blake? You went on a date with Anderson?”
“Yeah,” you shrugged lightly, scratching at the back of your neck awkwardly. You really did not want to have this conversation, “he…ugh, asked me out when we ran into each other at the store. Figured, why not, you know? He was nice, but a little boring. But he didn’t try anything and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable so I guess that’s good.”
“Are you going to see him again?” the question spilled from his lips before he could even process it. Your face fell for a moment before you studied your shoes.
“I dunno,” you admitted honestly, “maybe, probably. He’s fine.”
“Fine?” he snorted humorlessly, “is that the standard these days?”
“Stevie,” you sighed lightly as you gnawed on your bottom lip. Steve’s heart skipped a beat at the sight, “can we not talk about this right now? I-I don’t really wanna talk about it.”
“Y-yeah, sure,” he agreed, the corner of his mouth ticking up ever so slightly. He could see the grimace on your face and hated knowing he was the reason for it, “no, it’s ugh…my fault. Sorry. I just wanted to thank you for bringing lunch. I totally forgot when I was running late this morning.”
“I know,” you whispered softly as his brows furrowed in confusion, “I saw your car when I was leaving for work and I just kind of assumed you were running behind. I just figured lunch would be nice.”
“It was,” his heart constricted at your words, at the fact that you always took notice of such things, at the fact that you still displayed so much love and affection for him. For you it might have been a simple little thing, but to him it meant everything, “thank you.”
“It’s no problem, Stevie.”
“Game night - it’s ugh, at the Byers’ this week,” he said almost nervously as he tucked his hands into his pockets, “wasn’t sure if you’d heard yet. I…I guess I’ll see you there?”
“I don’t think so,” you could feel his eyes practically burning into you as you shook your head lightly, “I-I think I’m busy that night. I’ll probably just…skip for now.”
“O-oh, right. Yeah, that makes sense.”
“Yeah, it’s…” you shrugged before taking a step back, looking anywhere but his eyes. You’d break down completely if you did, “I’m gonna head inside, it’s getting late…I’ll see you around, Steve.”
“Sweethe-” he stopped himself but you felt his fingers wrapped gently around your wrist, “is everything alright?”
“Of course,” everything was most definitely not alright. Not when you were still so in love with him, but pretending that you were okay with just being best friends as you had always been, “just tired.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,” your promise was weak and he could see right through it, “good night, Steve.”
“Good night,” he watched you shuffle towards the door, watching to make sure you got inside safely before he turned around to walk back across the street. If he were a better man - a stronger man - he would have run after you and apologized for every hurt he’d ever caused.
Instead, he walked back to his dark and empty house, ready to spend another night alone.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
“Hey Henderson,” Steve offered his young protege a wave and smile as he stepped into the living room already crowded with his gaggle of children and friends. Dustin’s face lit up happily as he greeted him in return, but his gaze quickly drifted to over his shoulder, “what?”
“Where is she?” Dustin asked as he stood up and moved Steve to look around behind him for any sight of you, “Steve?”
“Who?”
“Bullshit,” he sighed heavily, “you know exactly who. I thought she was coming with you? She…she always comes.”
“She’s…busy tonight,” he shrugged it off but the young boy wasn’t buying it. This was the first game night in almost a year that you’d missed. You always came with Steve, before you dated, during, and then after. Until now, “I don’t know man, call her yourself and ask.”
Dustin sighed heavily as he shook his head. He reached up and put his hand on Steve’s shoulder, “I hope you realize how much you fucked up.”
“Whoa - language!”
“Grow up,” Dustin rolled his eyes, “I still can’t believe you broke up with her. Biggest mistake ever. Everyone knows, everyone agrees.”
“Do you think it was easy for me?” he ran a hand through his hair, sighing in exasperation.
“Do we think what was easy for you?” Eddie popped up behind him, popping a handful of dry cereal in his mouth that he proceeded to chew loudly. Steve rolled his eyes dramatically; why did all of his friends have to have such wonderful timing?
“Look, I’m not going to do this right now-”
“Yeah you are,” Dustin grabbed his arm and started to drag him outside to the backyard where there would have been at least some minimal privacy, Eddie in tow, “you’ve both been off for weeks, ever since you broke up with her. Clearly it wasn’t the right decision so why don’t you just fix it?”
“I can’t just fix it, Henderson,” he hissed through gritted teeth, “I need you, all of you, to understand that I did it for a reason -  a good reason.”
“No way in hell, or the upside down or whatever, could there be a good reason for that. She had you whipped, Harrington,” Eddie agreed with his young friend, “you worship the ground she walks on.”
“I did it to protect her,” he almost shouted after listening to Eddie and Dustin go back and forth. The two of them looked at Steve in confusion before turning back to each other. It was an answer that made sense…but also didn’t make sense at the same time, “everything I do - I do for her. I-I know it doesn’t seem like it and that I’m the bad guy, but that’s the truth. There - happy now?”
“How does breaking up with her…protect her?” Dustin was confused as he tried to make sense of the answer, “all it’s done is cause you both to be miserable, even if you’re pretending to be fine. We can all see it, Steve.”
“Yeah Stevie,” Eddie crossed his arms over his chest as he sighed deeply, “explain to us simpletons what you mean.”
“She…she shouldn’t have gotten involved in any of the shit we’ve been dealing with for the last few years,” he sighed, “I never meant to let her get involved but I did.”
“You do realize it was inevitable, right?” Eddie laughed lightly, surprised at Steve, “that girl would follow you to hell and back and with a moment of hesitation. She did do that, actually. There was no chance that you’d ever be able to keep anything from her. You’re her world, Harrington, it doesn’t take a genius to figure that out.”
“I never wanted…never wanted her to have to see any of this or live through it,” he scrubbed a hand over his tired face, “look at all we’ve been through. I mean - fuck, we almost lost you, Eddie. I can’t even imagine…if anything had happened to her.”
“But it didn’t-”
“But it so easily could have,” he sighed, “all it would have taken was one wrong move from any of us and something could have happened. We barely got out of there.”
“You can’t think like that man,” Eddie, the one who had been through the brunt of it along with Max, knew better than anyone, “look, I don’t know man, I’m not good at this shit, but it’s easy to tell when two people are in love with each other. You’d do anything for her, she’d do anything for you. Yeah, the world is scary and fucked up, more than I’d thought before all of this, but there are some things worth taking the risk for. You just have to decide what those things are. But I think you already know.”
“She won’t even look me in the eyes anymore,” his shoulders slumped before he threw up his hands in exasperation, “I don’t think she even wants to be my friend anymore.”
“You’re so stupid sometimes,” Dustin shook his head as Eddie high fived him, “she’s trying to keep her distance because of her feelings. Because she loves you, but she wants to respect the boundaries you put in place. Even if you wanted to keep her safe, if something ever came up again, she’d be right there to keep you safe. Essentially, what you’ve done is pointless and just hurt both of you.”
“Okay, since when are you a relationship expert?” Steve was trying to deflect the fact that what Dustin was saying was true, “I-I don’t know what to do. I think I threw away everything.”
“Talk to her man,” Eddie insisted as though it was the obvious thing in the world. It was, “at least explain everything to her and let her make the choice of whether or not she wants to be your friend or whatever.”
“I don’t know,” he looked at his feet and let out a long shaky breath, “what if I-”
“Hurry up, idiots! We’re starting,” Robin poked her head outside and motioned for them to come inside so they could properly start game night. Eddie and Dustin gave Steve pointed looks as he groaned internally. They were right - that was the worst part of it all.”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
It was a quiet night at Family Video, and Steve and Robin had made the most of it by playing a bunch of mindless little games. When the phone rang, it ended up being a moment of excitement, rather than annoyance as it would have been otherwise. Steve almost jumped as he grabbed the receiver and pressed it to his ear, “Family Video.”
“Stevie?” your voice was shaking as goosebumps covered his skin. His heart started to beat wildly as he thought of all the possible reasons you could have been crying, “I-I-I’m sorry. I know you’re working but..I-”
“Baby,” he whispered softly without even thinking about it, “where are you? What happened?”
“I-I’m downtown. Near Enzo’s,” you wiped away the tears that had rolled your cheeks, “I…you know what, it’s okay. I’m okay. I-I’ll figure it out.”
“No,” he insisted firmly. He quickly asked for a more specific location, committing it to memory, already reaching for his keys, “stay right there, baby. I’ll be there in a few minutes, okay?”
“Thank you,” you whispered softly as he offered you a few more words of reassurance. You hung up the pay phone, cursing yourself for calling him but glad at the same time you did. He was the first person that came to mind, the one person you could always turn to, the one person that would always be there for you.
You sat down on the bus bench near the payphone as you waited for him, nervous to see him. It had been almost a week since you’d seen him face to face, making up any excuse not to see him and trying your best to avoid him. And yet…you still found yourself calling him.
It was less than ten minutes when his familiar car pulled up to the curb and he almost jumped out of the driver’s side. He ran over to you, dropping to his knees in front of you as he reached up and tenderly took your face in his hands. Your eyes were glossy with tears and he delicately wiped the ones that pearled up away.
“What happened?” his voice was soft and gentle, almost as if he was worried about scaring you away, “tell me so I can make it better.”
“I shouldn’t have called you,” you whimpered as you squeezed your eyes shut, “you were working and you hate me now and everything’s all wrong.”
“Yes, you absolutely should have called me,” he was going to ignore the aching in his chest at yours, chalking them up to whatever you were going through, “I want to always be the first person you call. What happened - please tell me.”
“I was on a date, some guy named Ryan,” your shoulders shook with effort as you tried to keep some composure, “and he asked if I wanted to go home with him and I said no because I knew he just wanted to have sex. He got mad when I said no and he…tried to touch me but I told him to stop and that I didn’t want to go home with him and h-he started to yell at me and told me to get out of the car and he just drove away.”
“Fuck,” his blood was boiling in his veins as all he could see was red. But underneath all the anger was the pain and hurt he felt at what you had just been through, “I will deal with him later, but first I’m going to take you home. Did he-”
“No,” you sniffled, “I got him to stop before he did anything. I feel so stupid…he seemed so nice and then he just completely changed.”
“None of this is your fault,” he whispered as stroked your cheek, “don’t ever think that. Come on, let me take care of you.”
“Stevie-”
“Shh,” he whispered, brushing a few stray locks of hair out of your face. He stood up, pressing a kiss to your forehead before helping you to your feet and into the car.
The drive back to your house was silent, only the radio playing faintly in the background as you stared out the window. Steve had been half tempted to put his hand on your thigh, like he had done countless times in the past, but didn’t want to worry you or push you.
When he pulled into your driveway, he came around and opened your door, holding your hand as he took you to the door. You expected him to leave once you were inside, but that thought hadn’t even crossed his mind. He gently took the keys from your shaking hands and unlocked the door, stepping inside and turning on the light before holding the door open for you.
You followed him inside as he led the way to your bedroom, and everything almost felt normal. He turned on your bedside lamp before gesturing for you to sit down on the bed.
“I’m going to run a hot bath, okay?” he asked but it wasn’t even a question. You nodded as you watched him go into the ensuite bathroom, slowly pulling off your heels and attempting to shed the dress that now felt all wrong. You heard him run the water before smelling the familiar scent of your favorite bubble bath. The memory of all the times in the past that he had done this for you caused a small smile to appear on your face.
He popped back into your room, holding out his hand to you. There was a moment when you considered not taking it, but you could never do that. Instead, you took his hand and let him lead you to the bathroom.
“Do you want me to step out?” he whispered, “I can wait outside until you’re done. I just want to make sure you’re alright.”
“You can stay,” you pulled off the dress and tossed it to the floor. You unclasped your bra before discarding and followed suit with your underwear. Despite having the best intentions, it was hard for Steve to control himself and not look, “it’s nothing you haven’t seen before.”
You stepped into the warm water, finding it the perfect temperature as you settled in. Steve sat on the floor next to you, trying to gauge what was running through your mind. You pulled your knees up to your chest as you turned to look at him with a sad little expression. He reached for a washcloth and your face wash before he delicately started to wash your face. You should have stopped him, stopped this and kept your heart from breaking further when you knew he would inevitably leave. But you couldn’t. Instead you sat still as he worked slowly and reverently.
“Thank you,” your voice was barely above a whisper as you allowed yourself to meet his eyes. They were the same big, soft brown eyes that you’d fallen for over and over since you’d known him. And you could swear they were looking at you with the same expression as they had so many times, including the first time he told you he was in love with you. The realization that that was no longer true made your heart ache and you had to look away, “Stevie…I-I…thank you. For getting me, for doing this for me. But can you…can you please go home?”
“You want me to go?” his smile dropped as he opened his mouth but found nothing else to say.
“I can’t do this,” you sighed as you stared at the bubbles gently floating around, “I can’t do this and pretend that I’m not still in love with you. I know you’re not in love with me, and I respect that and because I want to respect you, I can’t have you here. I can’t make myself fall out of love with you and pretend I never loved you and that everything is just going to be alright. I knew that when we started dating it would be a risk - a risk that we might not work and it could jeopardize our friendship. And it did, a-and that’s okay, because at least we know we would never work out, right? And I-I don’t…it’s not fair to you for me to be in love with you and be your friend, you know? I don’t want things to be awkward or worse.”
“What do you-”
“I think it’s best if we don’t…if we aren’t friends anymore,” the words in themselves were the worst thing you had ever said. It broke your heart all over again, “my feelings for you are never going to change, Stevie. And I can’t just be your friend and you don’t want anything different with me so I feel like this is the only way.”
“N-no. That’s not true, you’re-”
“We’ll still have the memories of the good times,” your voice almost broke as you held back a sob, “but right now…can you please just go?”
“Swee-”
“Please,” you bit the inside of your cheek so harshly you were surprised it didn’t bleed, “please just go.”
He wanted to do anything but go. He wanted to stay, to tell you that you were wrong and that he had been wrong with breaking up with you in the first place. That he was stupidly trying to do what he thought was right, when it was really wrong. But that his heart had been in the right place. But you weren’t even looking at him. You wouldn’t believe him - not right now anyway.
“O-okay,” his lips were drawn into a thin line as he nodded, “I’ll go. I…I’m sorry.”
“‘s okay,” you shrugged again, “nothing to be sorry for.”
When you didn’t say anything else, he got up and left, but not before making sure you had a clean towel and pajamas waiting for you. His heart broke a little more with each passing step.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
You’d made it a point to do everything you humanly could in order to avoid Steve. It was a herculean challenge considering that you lived across the street from one another, worked close to each other, and happened to have all of the same friends (funny how trauma brings people together). But somehow you had managed and you were sure part of it was due to your friends helping in ways they could, usually by diverting Steve. As much as they wanted the two of you to figure it all out, they had to let it happen in its own time.
You were a mess. Steve was no better. As much as you tried to get over him, trying to will away the love you had for him, it was impossible. He was not just your best friend, but your family, the person that had been by your side for everything, from elementary through high school, through the awkward teenage years, through all the dating drama and first kisses and parties and all of it. How were you just supposed to let that go? How were you supposed to let the biggest piece of your heart go and carry on like he didn’t exist anymore?
You couldn’t.
And now it was another Friday night. A Friday night that would normally be spent with all of your friends, but was now usually spent home alone with a pint of ice cream and an old film. But this time, Robin and Nancy had convinced you to come to movie night at the Wheelers’ home, promising that Steve wasn’t going to be there. He’d told them he had to go out of town for something or other. You’d believed it; when you left the house his car was gone from his driveway and you knew that none of your friends would lie.
But as soon as you were there, comforted by the sea of familiar faces and tucked next to Eddie on the couch, he walked in. The room fell into silence as he looked just as surprised to see you there as you were to see him. Everyone seemed equally surprised.
“I…it’s movie night,” he said lamely as he held up a case of cola, the tension in the room so incredibly thick.
“You said you were going out of town,” Nancy whispered with wide eyes, blaming herself for the tension, “you said you weren’t coming.”
“I did go,” he stammered nervously, “I got back early and figured I’d come over. I-I-I didn’t know that…”
“Hey,” you cast a look around the room, extremely aware of everyone’s expectant looks, “it’s all good, guys. We can watch a movie, after all. It’s fine - let’s get our snacks and watch.”
Like a collective sigh of relief washed over the room, everyone relaxed slightly. While at least things were at a head, you were freaking out throughout the movie and attempting to keep calm. Judging by the way Eddie kept looking at you and almost protectively put his arm around you, you clearly weren’t doing a good job.
Once everyone had said their goodbyes, you followed Eddie to his van, having hitched a ride with him earlier. Before he could even open the door for you, Steve ran up behind the two of you, “I can take her home.”
“It’s cool,” Eddie wasn’t sure what to do, not wanting to get in the middle of it but also wanting very much to get in the middle of it, “I’ve got her.”
“It makes no sense,” Steve’s hands were on his hips as he nervously glanced at you, “you live across town and we live across the street. It’ll save you the trouble.”
“She’s no trouble,” he insisted with a smug little smile.
“It’s just that-”
“It’s okay,” you cut Steve off without looking at him, “I’ll go with Steve, Eds. He’s right, it’ll save you the drive. Thank you though, for picking me up and all.”
“Anytime, sweet cheeks,” he gave you a soft smile - he’d always been soft on you - as you pressed a chaste kiss to his cheek, thinking nothing of it, “see you this weekend.”
“See you,” you gave him a wave before following Steve to his car, a tense silence falling over the two of you. You got into the passenger seat without a word, fully expecting to say nothing on the drive home. Instead you contented yourself with staring out the window at the past scenery.
“Munson, huh?” He broke the quiet after a few minutes, his knuckles practically white from the tight grip he had on the steering wheel.
“He’s our friend, Stevie,” you didn’t look at him, but the use of his nickname caused his stomach to somersault, “we’re just hanging out. That’s all. I love Eddie but he’s not..,never mind.”
“He’s not what?”
“He’s not my type, okay? I’m not attracted to him like that,” you sighed, clenching your jaw as you tried not to cry. You wished he would just keep quiet and let you be miserable in peace.
He did that much at least, keeping quiet and his gaze away from you until he pulled into his driveway and parked. You immediately moved to get out, closing the door and mumbling a soft thank you as you almost ran across the street to your house.
“Wait!” Steve darted after you, easily catching up and grabbing your wrist gently to stop you. You inhaled sharply before turning around to meet his eyes, “please. We need to talk-”
“We?”
“I - I need to talk,” he insisted, attempting to muster up all the courage he had to finally tell you what had possessed him to make the biggest mistake of his life, “please. Just let me…explain.”
“I’m not really interested in getting my heart broken all over again,” you pulled your hand out of his and wrapped your arms around yourself, a defense mechanism that you hoped would ward him off, “look, I’m sorry I was there tonight, okay? Robin and Nance swore you wouldn’t be there. If I had known you would be, I won’t have come. I’m sorry if that made things awkward. There, I said it for you. You can go home now, Steve.”
“No, that’s not what I was going to say at all-”
“Then what were you going to say?” you asked as you flailed your arms nervously, “I don’t think there’s anything left to say.”
“I’m sorry,” he finally said after a few beats of silence, “I know you probably don’t want to hear it and I probably don’t deserve your time, but I just need to…explain.”
You sighed heavily, but nodded, “okay.”
“When  we started dating,” he wanted to look away but forced himself to look in your eyes, “that was the best day of my life. I had been wanting nothing more for years, but I just couldn’t bring myself to ask you because I never thought someone like you could actually love me, or want me or anything-”
“Someone like me?”
“Just you,” he insisted, “you’re so…fuck. You’re perfect - to me you’re perfect. You’re so beautiful, so smart, funny, kind, caring, and you babysit the kids so well with me and I’m just...so much better with you. I’m a fuck up, baby, I know that. I’ve made some shitty choices and haven’t always been the best guy, but the best decision I have ever made was sitting next to you that first day of class in the first grade. The worst decision I ever made was convincing myself that by breaking up with you was the only way to keep you safe. I never wanted you to get involved in this shit, to put you in danger, but you’re so fucking fearless and selfless that you never hesitated. You didn’t blink an eye or question it. And then…when we were in the upside down and we almost…we almost lost Eddie, that was one of the worst feelings ever. If I felt that way about a friend, imagine how I would have felt if it was you. I would have never forgiven myself. I hated even seeing you with those cuts and bruises. And then I thought, maybe the solution to all of it was to…create a bit of distance. I thought that would keep you away from the bad shit and keep you safe.”
“Steve-”
“I should have told you that in the beginning, but I knew you’d never have it-”
“Stevie.”
“I thought I was doing the right thing,” you could see that his eyes were glossy with unshed tears now and it made you want to run and hug him, “I thought it was right. All I ever wanted to do was protect and keep you safe. Even if it meant you hated me.”
“Steve,” the tears had run down your cheeks regardless of your effort to hold them back, “how do you think I felt when those stupid demobats almost got you? I would have done anything to keep you safe-”
“You did.”
“Yeah,” you agreed, “just like you would have for me if things had been reversed. You think I didn’t know all of that was dangerous? You really think that would have stopped me from following you?”
“No…”
“No,” you confirmed, “you’re insane if you think anything you could ever do would get me to leave your side. Even now, I would do anything for you Steve Harrington. You’re so smart and so dumb at the same time, and you really hurt me. But I can’t even be mad because your heart was in the right place. Even though you were idiot, you did it-”
“Out of love,” he finished, “I’ve always loved you, since we were stupid kids, and I’ve been in love with you for so long. That never changed. It will never change. There is not a single memory that you’re not somehow involved in. There is not a single future I can picture without you and like six kids and a big RV that we use to go camping and traveling.”
“I hate camping,” you laughed through your tears as he stepped closer to you.
“I know you do,” he exhaled nervously, “but you’d do it for me anyway.”
“Yeah,” it was a soft promise, one that brought a smile to his face, “I would. For you? Anything.”
“I know that I fucked up,” he wiped your tears away his thumb, and you could feel his body shaking, undoubtedly with nerves, “and I don’t deserve your forgiveness or love or anything. But I’m an idiot, and selfish, and I’m yours, baby - fuck, I’m yours - and I’m going to ask you for a second chance.”
“I want to be mad,” you admitted, “because we’ve both been suffering like idiots. But, Steve Harrington, I’m still in love with you. And I’m willing to give you my heart to break again.”
“I won’t, I swear,” he leaned in and pressed his forehead against yours, closing his eyes, “I know you have no reason to trust in what I’m saying. But it’s true.”
“I know,” you could feel his breath against your lips, could feel how close his lips were, “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you,” he sighed softly, as his arms wrapped around you without hesitation, “can I kiss you?”
“Yes,” you leaned in and pressed your lips against his, letting him take control. His kiss was soft and slow, so many unspoken words and words behind it. When he pulled back at you, you could see that his cheeks were wet too, and just like he had done for you so many times, you wiped away his tears. He took your hand in his and pressed a kiss to your palm, “six kids, huh?”
“It was just a thought,” the two of you shared a soft laugh, neither of you breaking eye contact, “it’s negotiable of course.”
“I dunno about six,” you grinned softly, “but a few baby Harringtons sounds good.”
“Yeah?” his smile was that same soft, dopey smile you’d fallen in love with countless times, and you found yourself falling all over again.
“Yeah,” you kissed the corner of his mouth, “I love you, pretty boy. You’re a fool, but you’ve got a heart of gold.”
“I love you,” he held up his hand and you slid your palm against his, letting his much larger hand envelope yours, “always.”
“Always.
Meet The Guardians Of The Galaxy
Masterlist
Tumblr media
It’s been a couple of days since the Guardians of the Galaxy landed on the Avengers compound’s lawn, Thor was still nowhere to be seen but you all seemed to be getting along just fine, going as far as having girls and boys night last night.
The guys showed Drax, Quill and Rocket how they like to spend a night of testosterone fueled competition while playing video games in the common room, eating junk food and drinking.
While you and the girls showed Gamora, Nebula and Mantis how you like to relax having a night of spa treatments, drinking wine and eating anything you wanted, gossiping and essentially making fun of the boys’ attitudes the guys had.
Groot started the night with the guys but apparently they started getting too rough and loud for his liking so he came to your room where all the girls were and enjoyed the rest of the night watching sappy movies and getting beauty treatments with you.
You couldn’t resist taking a picture when he wrapped himself with a napkin, rubbing some of the mud mask all over his face sloppily to look like you guys all wearing robes, making you all laugh and coo at how adorable he looked.
Everybody had a late night, barely getting any sleep, but having a lot of fun.
Now you’re all in the common room nursing various degrees of hangovers that even Bucky and Steve couldn’t escape after Tony pulled out Thor’s stash of Asgardian mead.
"All I’m saying is, aliens don’t seem to have too much regard for lawn maintenance." Tony says, making you all groan.
You were all tired of hearing him bitch about the lawn and you were definitely much too sleep deprived for it at the moment.
"Tony, I love you, but I really need you to shut the fuck up." Steve mumbles, not being used to hangovers, making us all gasp in surprise.
"Language, Rogers!" you say and he groans, throwing his head back while the rest of you laugh.
"Are you ever gonna drop that, Mrs Barnes?" you roll your eyes athim.
You and Bucky are nowhere near marriage but the blonde super soldier always has the time of his life teasing you about it.
"Aww, are you mad that I stole your boyfriend?" you fake pout at him.
"You know, Bucky and I were very happy before you came along." He fake glares at you, the rest of the team enjoying the banter they were used to at this point.
"I missed the part where that’s my problem, Captain Dumbass." You say smirking, but before Steve cam answer Quill cut in.
"Wow, she’s kind of awful when she’s hungover." you glare at him while everyone else laughs.
"She’s kind of awful when she’s not hungover, she’s just pretending for your benefit." Steve comments.
"You know what, Rogers?" Clint interrupts you before you can threaten Steve.
"Oh c’mon you know he’s right. Bucky for sure rubbed some of his grumpiness on you." you know they’re right so what’s the point in trying to deny.
You shrug ready to change the subject when Natasha chooses to contribute to the conversation.
"He definitely rubbed something on her." you almost choke on air.
"Natasha!" you hiss, struggling to keep your own face straight while all the girls start giggling.
"What? I didn’t say anything…" she says innocently and you can’t keep the laughter in anymore so you join them.
The guys all look at you like you’re crazy except for Tony, the genius playboy is definitely not as innocent as the rest of them.
"I don’t understand what’s going on." Peter says and the other guys nod in agreement.
You don’t exactly know how to explain it, not really wanting to discuss anything close to your sex life with Bucky with the whole group, so you look to the girls for help.
"It appears that terran women have rituals of honesty during their 'girls night's" Gamora offers, but it only leaves the guys even more confused, so Wanda takes it upon herself to say a simpler explanation "Girls talk about everything. Everything."
Slowly all the guys come to understand what she means, various degrees of embarrassment on their faces, while you and the girls laugh at their reactions.
"Wait, everything everything?" Tony questions, looking directly at Pepper.
"Every. Single. Thing." she says, maintaining eye contact, and the rest of you can't stop snickering at the guys’ dumbfounded faces.
While the guys continue their questioning to the other girls, Bucky leans in to whisper in your ear.
"So you’ve been telling the girls about our sex life, doll? I might have to punish you for that..." he can tell you’re trying hard to keep a straight face as you refuse to turn around to face him so he keeps teasing you.
"and you’ll take it like a good girl, won’t you?" your eyes widen a bit before your expression goes back to neutral, but you're betrayed by the intense red your cheeks are turning, which does not go unnoticed.
"What’s wrong with you, why is your face all red?" Rocket almost yells, bringing the whole room’s attention on you, making you blush even more and giggle when Groot climbs on your shoulder to examine your cheek more closely.
"It’s nothing." you try to sound casual.
"And what’s wrong with you?" Rocket says and you hear Steve groaning before he answers.
He carefully chooses his words and addresses you and Bucky directly "Just so you know, I can hear Bucky whispering…"
your eyes snap up to him and you can see his face is turning red too, ever the innocent one and never ready to hear his best friend's dirty talk.
You look at Bucky who looks more amused at the situation than embarrassed and you let out a groan of your own before gettin up, Groot still on your shoulder.
"Where are you going, baby?" Bucky asks, stopping the others’ questioning of Steve about what he heard, all of them confused and amused, their attention back on you.
"I need more coffee. And a bath in holy water." you add looking at the girls, all of them knowing how dirty Bucky’s mouth can get, then you make your way to the kitchen.
"I’ll go make sure she’s alright." Bucky gets up and follows you, leaving the guys to try and make the girls let them in on the joke.
You put Groot down on the counter while starting the coffee machine and, while you wait, he makes you laugh by running around trying to catch a fly while making the most adorable little screams of battle.
You feel two arms wrap around your waist and Bucky’s head on your shoulder.
"You know Steve’s gonna think we’re fucking in the kitchen, right?" you say without looking away from Groot, making Bucky laugh.
"I just wanted to check on you." he says, giving you a kiss on the cheek. You turn around in his arms and wrap your arms around his neck.
"I’m okay." you kiss him on the lips "Steve may be traumatized now, though." this time you laugh with him.
"Do you really tell the girls everything?" he asks when your laughter dies down.
"I do, they’re my best friends. Also the world should know you fuck me hard and good." he smirks and is about to kiss you again when you hear someone clear their throat from the door.
You both turn towards the sound and see Steve standing there, face getting redder than Tony’s suit.
"Oh, you gotta be kidding me." you groan once more, hiding your face in Bucky’s chest while he smirks at Steve.
"I just wanted some water, but I’ll come back later..." Steve says and starts to turn away, but turns back around and says "Bravo, Buc-"
"No! out!" you cut in before he can finish while pointing at him then the door and he goes through it laughing.
You look back up at Bucky and the cheeky idiot is laughing too, you try to glare at him but can’t keep a straight face, especially when a little yell suddenly reminds you that Groot is there with you.
You turn around just in time to see him jump down the counter, his little hands over what you assume are his ears, running back into the living room while screaming his little heart out.
Yep, looks like Steve is not the only innocent baby you and Bucky traumatized today.
AITA for breaking up with my boyfriend and leaving my friend group?
TW Suicide mention, names will be fake of course.
(English isn't my first language, sorry!)
Me (20M) and my ex bf Karl (21M) had been dating for 2 years. We were both apart of a small friend group where everyone had known each other since grade 8. That is, everyone except for Karl and Emily (21F). Karl and Emily have grown up together and were always a lot closer than me and Karl until something happened which caused me to confess my feelings for Karl. Karl claimed that he'd felt the same way for years which surprised me, but nonetheless we started dating. Karl had wanted to keep it a secret for some time which ended up being a whole year, which I was fine with. I believed maybe it was because he wasn't out as gay yet. Totally fine. I understand, but eventually something changed with Karl after Emily and him had a major falling out. He was so persistent on telling people about our relationship when just a few days ago he was terrified about anyone finding out. Okay.. odd.. but whatever. Once we told the friend group, it was very apparent that Emily wasn't too happy about our relationship.
She would constantly make remarks about how we really shouldn't date each other, how we were a disgusting couple, and how Karl and her were more "compatible". I would just do my best to ignore her salty remarks whenever we went out to hang, but she would start telling the others in our group how she was going to end her life. She made a private texting chat for her and our other friends to talk about me and Karl, and there were soo many screenshots of her threatening to kill herself if I stayed with Karl. Eventually it came out that Emily and Karl were dating behind my back for more than a year. There were more screenshots shared with me, screenshots taken by Emily, where she and Karl were bragging about how gullible and pathetic I was for thinking Karl actually liked me.
The falling out they had? That was because Karl had told Emily that he had real feelings for me now, and that they should end things before things get messy. (Look how that turned out.)
Karl made the argument that "It was just the past" and how he actually did love me now, but he's completely lost my trust. There's been only one person on my side from the friend group, the one who shared screenshots, while everyone else thinks I was being harsh for breaking up with him and not trying to talk things out.
I'm starting to think maybe I should have tried to talk things out and give Karl a second chance. Things could have been completly different.
So, AITA?
What are these acronyms?
