I have a headcanon that Kickin lays the eggs everyone uses for food. But I also imagine him being protective of the eggs, even though he knows they won't hatch. Like, pecking the others hands when reaching to get one.

I mean, I know that often chickens will lay eggs that are not fertile, like, they don’t have a baby inside of them and don’t even think about it, but I don’t know, something about that happening with a humanoid bird man who is actually capable of thinking, and the fact that That’s the same way he would reproduce, and the way he gets protective over them, I don’t know why but this thought makes me sad

The fact that I’ve also imagined a potentially funny plot line where Bubba and Kickin end up having a child by Kickin laying an egg with Bubba’s child inside of it probably also doesn’t help

MORE TURTLE ANGST AU BECAUSE TURT ANGST

because i am very very obsessed with versions of the turtles meeting each other i couldn't stop thinking about the utter angst that would ensue but also the softness and slow found family vibes

specifically the 2012 turtles meeting versions of themselves where tang shen doesn't exist, where splinter's entire world is the turtles + april

the 2012 turtles meeting, say, the rise!tmnt, the bayverse!tmnt, or the mutant mayhem!tmnt?? versions of the turtles whose splinters never had a serious love interest prior to their creation, whose love and attention was always solely focused on them?

i'm thinking about bayverse!splinter, who sacrificed himself for his boys without a second thought, who finds out about another version of himself who has all but pushed the turtles away, the precious turtles who are the light of splinter's life

mm!splinter, who literally was desperate to keep his beloved sons protected from possible dangers, who faced his greatest fear in order to help his boys, seeing how broken, how tired they are.

rise!splinter, who, despite how it seems, can and will put his boys above everything else, who cannot even fathom the idea of not wanting his sons around, of falling back into his life before the boys, seeing these versions of his sons be so easily abandoned

just... the 2012!turtles meeting different versions of themselves, and meeting different versions of splinter, and being so fully prepared to recieve that same cold shoulder, only to be gathered into warm embraces, and have gentle, fatherly reassurances whispered to them.

and they're rightfully hesitant, they're unsure, because having your father immediately turn to his original family without a second thought leaves some lasting trauma and pain, but they can't resist falling into the different splinters' arms, pouring their hearts out as they cry and listen to advice that only splinter can give.

and somehow, idk maybe the donnies make dimensional transport watches bc that's definitely a thing that would happen, so visiting the different dimensions, and hanging out with the different versions of themselves + splinter becomes a weekly thing. and slowly, the 2012!tmnt bring the other versions to their own world, introduce them to xever, and chris, and april, and casey, and the mutanimals, and it slowly spirals into all of them getting together and hanging out.

and the 2012 boys slowly start to realize that they do have a family. it may not be the one they thought they had, but it's even better, and full of people who truly love them.

How does the wildcats gets the approval of JJ? Especially ashlyn and kourtney, being them the significant others of the siblings.

So the fun part is, they kind of don't?

I mean they do eventually, JJ let's them near, but it's nothing they can really affect.

JJ only really cares about Maddie and how she's feeling, and Jet to a smaller extent. He watches how she reacts to them showing up and goes from there.

Ex.

Ricky - both siblings like Ricky, and he doesn't make them uncomfortable or nervous, so JJ likes him immediately.

Carlos: Jet is indifferent and Maddox gets mildly annoyed, so JJ is also mildly defensive.

Dewey: Jet doesn't know him, but Maddie loves him, but she also really respects him and cares what he thinks of her, so she's a little nervous, JJ likes him, but he needs to stay a little over there.

Ect ect ect

As for Kourt and Ash, well..... they make JJs babies real nervous, like visible discomfort nervous, and strange fumbling nervous, so he's not exactly thrilled with them for a long while.

If his babies initiate contact, it's fine, but otherwise....he's gonna growl a little. Eventually he gets used to them and their fine.

This works out fine with Jet and Kourtney, once they actually started going out.

Poor Ash took a minute, Maddie isn't exactly much of a driving force in relationships, and JJs watching her more. Don't worry, she gets there.

Bruce being just as guilty of introducing Jason to people like he is but a small little guy.

Bruce at gala supporting youth literary comprehension programs: Have you met my son Jason? As stubborn as kids can be I managed to get him to attend.

Beneficiary: oh that’s wonderful! Does your son enjoy literature?

Bruce: oh absolutely! That’s what convinced him to even come! He has so many respectable hobbies for someone his age. Kids these days rarely find value in the classics but not Jason! Honestly he reads more, and more in depth, than I do! He’s a little mechanic too! When I first saw him he was trying to take the tires off my car with a lug wrench that was bigger than him! It was quite a sight and a rather unconventional way to meet your son but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Beneficiary, blinks as they try to process all the proud dad info: …well that’s lovely, we have some activities for the children of the donors so that none of them get too bored!

Bruce: that’s great! I’ll let him know. Jason, can you come here for a moment?

A very tall, wide, and muscular man turns around and raises an eyebrow.

What a coincidence, that dude must also be named Jason.

He walks towards them

Jason: what do you want old man?

Bruce: there are activities at that table if you’re bored.

Huh

Jason: thanks for the memo but I’m not exactly at coloring book age anymore remember?
