Find your way around!
Tumblr media
You’re not sure whose idea it was to invite you and your best friend on the road trip or who thought it would be a great idea to travel in a minivan given the fact it only held seven people and there were eight people, including you and you’re also not sure why you agreed, but here you sat on one of your guy friends lap on a whole 4-hour road trip and halfway into the drive it was getting really uncomfortable more than uncomfortable.
Not only that but why the hell did you have to sit on heeseung’s lap? Couldn’t someone else sit there?
You didn’t even ask cause you knew they’d give you a bullshit excuse about you being smaller and weighing less.
You wouldn’t mind sitting on him in any other circumstance cause he was undoubtedly a hottie, but right now, your mind couldn’t even travel there as the pain in your body increased.
And on top of that, Jake and his girlfriend were practically sharing a seat, so why on earth were you crammed in the back with heeseung while Sunghoon told a series of terrible jokes?
You couldn’t believe how Jake and his girlfriend seemed to be having the time of their lives while in the seat in front of you in your same position, except your best friend was only halfway on jakes lap.
You wished you were having that much fun, but your back ached, and there was still a whole hour left. “Umm, can we stop? I have to use the bathroom,” heeseung spoke up. He had been quiet for most of the ride, only laughing awkwardly when you sat on his lap after muttering a small “hey,” which you returned just as awkwardly.
And little did you know heeseung was just as uncomfortable, if not more uncomfortable than you.
“Really, heeseung, can you just hold it? We’re almost there,” Jay piped up from the driver's seat.
No.
In fact, heeseung couldn’t hold it well. There was nothing to really hold other than the erection that was about to become very evident to you if he didn’t get a break real soon. “We’re not even almost there yet!” he shouted to the front seat, nearly blowing out your eardrum in the process.
“Be a man and use a bottle 'cause we’re not stopping,” Jay dismissed, and heeseung only groaned behind you.
Heeseung was doing alright for the next ten minutes, but once Jay ran over a bump and your ass brushed against his bulge, he couldn’t help but whimper. “Fuck” he whispered and clutched tightly onto the leather seats.
You were now fully aware of why heeseung wanted to stop and even more aware of what you were feeling under you, and you didn’t know if you should feel disgusted or flattered.
You supposed you were indifferent to the situation, and you tried shifting so you’d be sitting more on his thigh, but that seemed to make it worse as he squeezed your waist to hold you in place. “Please just stop moving,” he breathed out and rested his forehead on your back. “Shit, y/n, I’m sorry” He lowered his head in embarrassment. “Can we please take a break?” He spoke up, and Jay mumbled out a curse, finally pulling off at a gas station a few minutes out, although it was too late now that heeseung had already humiliated himself in front of you.
Heeseung practically threw you off his lap and hurried off to the restroom.
It was one outside the gas station around the back, and it was more than janky, but it’d have to do.
At first, he tried to make his erection go down by rinsing his face with cold water and taking deep breaths, even going as far to try and flex certain muscles in his body to make the blood go somewhere else, but no matter what, he could not stop imagining you sitting on top of him and it didn’t help that you had to wear shorts he knew it was like ninety degrees outside so he couldn’t blame you but still.
“Fuck” he moaned when he rubbed over the tent in his basketball shorts.
He quickly dropped them and his underwear on the ground fisting his cock at a fast pace. He had to hurry if he didn’t want anyone getting suspicious of him.
He bit his lip as he swirled his palm over his wet tip. “So fucking good, y/n” He closed his eyes, picturing you without those shorts on, wondering how good it’d feel for you to sit on his lap with nothing on. He’d love watching your perfect ass jiggle while you bounce on his big dick.
He had dreamed about it so many times he couldn’t even count. He knew it was wrong to like you cause you were only friends, but you made that extremely difficult for him, especially today.
He tugged at his balls, squeezing his sack softly while stroking his warm length. “Y/n, please don’t fucking stop” He was full-on fantasizing about you jerking his cock instead, wondering how you’d do it. Would you tease him? Would you do it nice and slow or rough and fast? Just the thought was getting him close. “Feels so good, baby,” he whispered.
Frankly, he wouldn’t care how you did it just as long as you were touching him.
“Hurry up, will you! I gotta go next,” he heard jakes voice outside the door and panicked.
“Shit” He knew if the guys knew what he was doing in here, they’d never let him live it down ever.
He quickly pulled up his shorts, tucking his erection in his waistband and hoping for the best.
“Sorry about that, it’s all yours” heeseung smiled awkwardly at Jake, hoping he wouldn’t notice anything, and to heeseung’s luck, he didn’t.
Now you, on the other hand, that’s a different story.
He avoided all eye contact with you and hopped in the back of the van while you left to buy something, he assumed, but just then, he got an idea. “Can I sit up front? I can give directions.”
“No!” They all said in unison, and he couldn’t help but wonder why all the guys were being such ass hats today. Just his luck.
But he did also get them lost when he was in control of the navigation on their road trip last year, so he supposed they had a right to respond that way.
Once you came out of the gas station, you made your way to the back, and heeseung peered out the window as if the scenery was just that beautiful, which it wasn’t. It was literally a dead-end gas station with flickering lights. You figured he must have just been embarrassed, but you understood it wasn’t intentional, and that just happens sometimes, and you didn’t judge him for it.
You sat on his lap once more, and Jay hit the road again. “Would you like some?” You offered him a drink of your ice-cold water, and if he’s being truthful, his body felt like it was on fire right now, partly cause you were sitting on his lap and the burning weather outside, so he accepted your offer.
“Thanks,” he whispers and drinks at least half the bottle in one go.
“I’m not disgusted by you or anything if that makes you feel any better,” you whisper to him, and you feel him tense up.
That definitely made him feel better, but it was still embarrassing for him.
You leaned back slightly, and you’re not sure if he had gotten hard again or he was still hard from earlier. You thought that’s why he went to the restroom to relieve himself. “Are you feeling any better?” you could only hope it didn’t make him more uncomfortable, but you just didn’t want him suffering for the next fifty minutes.
“Do you actually want to know the answer to that?” He whispers close to your ear so no one else would hear as his warm breath fans lightly across your face making you feel a shiver run up your spine.
“Yes,” you reply back in a whisper.
“No,” he replied honestly, and at this point, he’s been so hard for so long that it almost felt painful.
“I can help if you want?” You said boldly and pushed up against him a little, giving him a hint in case he didn’t know what you meant already.
You and heeseung were friends, yes, but that never once stopped you from thinking he was an attractive guy, and who cares? You were all on vacation to act crazy, party, and have fun, so why not start the fun right now?
Heeseung could have sworn he misheard, but he definitely saw the way you backed your ass up and pressed it on his aching length. “N-no, we’re almost there. I can take care of it later,” he politely declines.
You knew he was just being nice, but you really didn’t mind, and you can’t lie feeling his thick cock beneath your ass was turning you on, and you’d be lying if you said you weren’t soaking wet right now. “Sure?” You gripped his knee and rotated your hips on his crotch teasingly, and he said fuck it and gave in.
He squeezed your hip with his right hand guiding you back and forth on his lap, groaning softly in your ear when your clothed ass brushed over his tip.
He grabbed your waist with his other hand pushing you down on his cock. You put your hands over his stopping his movement, and he was hesitant to do anything further in case he was making you uncomfortable. “Sorry, did I do something wrong?” You didn’t say anything. You lifted your hips and shimmied out of your shorts and underwear, and he gasped at the sight, watching a thick string of your arousal sticking to your thigh. though the sight was extremely hot to him, he didn’t want his friends to see you naked. “Are you crazy?” He whisper, yelled, and tried to cover your body with his hands. He looked around and thanked the stars that Sunghoon had fallen asleep beside him. Jake, his girlfriend, and Jungwon were too immersed in their game to care, and Jay was focused on driving while Sunoo was in the front seat giving directions which gave you and heeseung the green light.
“Relax,” you giggled and tugged at his shorts.
“Fuck okay,” he breathed out once he deemed it to be safe plus, nightfall had come already, so even if anyone did wake up, he could discreetly cover you and himself before anyone saw anything.
He pulled down his shorts, and you looked behind you while biting on your lip, looking at his huge dick resting on his abdomen.
You sat back down on his lap, dragging your pussy over his cock getting it nice and slippery so he could enter you with ease. “God baby, you’re so wet,” he mumbled in your ear groggily, already in a daze-like state from feeling your warm pussy gliding on his length. Evidently, he wasn’t the only one turned on.
He pushed his cock down at the base, sticking it between your legs, making it easier for you to grind on it. “So fucking big.”
“Yeah? You like that, huh?” He gripped your waist, now controlling the movement of your hips. “You gonna let me stick it in that pussy, baby? Wanna feel this big dick inside you? Hmm?” He kissed your neck sloppily while squeezing your hips.
“Yes, please,” you whined out, nearly moaning when you felt his tip poking at your quivering hole.
“Ooh, so polite” You could tell he was smirking by the tone of his voice. “You know just how to get what you want, huh, baby?” He nibbled your ear and bucked his hips up, pushing his cock past your tight entrance.
You had to cover your mouth to muffle your moan as you felt him stretching out your tight walls. You were thankful that he started out slow and let you adjust first cause he was huge. He slowly thrust in and out inch by inch until you could take all of it. He bit down on your shoulder softly and took a deep breath while he bottomed out. “You feel so good,” he moaned out after finally getting the relief he’s been needing for the past hour.
“You do, too” You swirled your hips while placing your hands on his knees to get a good angle to ride him. “Mmph,” you moaned.
“There you go,” he whispered, mesmerized by how you were swaying your hips in such a small space so effortlessly. “Just like that” He pulled his shirt up so he could watch his cock getting buried in your little cunt each time you moved back and forth on him.
He reached around you slipping his hands underneath your shirt to massage your tits, cupping them in his large warm hands and squeezing on them occasionally, not too rough but just right.
“Fuck heeseung,” he chuckled lowly in your ear.
“Like that? Having your tight little pussy filled with daddy’s dick?” Heeseung definitely made his dirty jokes here and there, but this was a whole new side of him you had never seen before. The filthy words coming from his mouth just made you wetter by the second.
“Mmh yes, Daddy,” he snuck a hand inside your bra, rolling your hard nipple between his fingers while he kissed on your neck.
“Shit, baby, you’re taking my dick so well” His comment made you clench down on his dick, squeezing your walls involuntarily. “Bounce on it,” he commands in a hushed voice, and you immediately obey, bouncing up and down on his cock just the way he ordered you to.
He breathily moaned in your ear, making you tighten your walls around him yet again. “S-so full” You could literally feel his dick everywhere inside you. The thickness brushing against your wet aching walls was absolute heaven.
“All for daddy’s girl” He dropped his right hand from your chest, cupping your mound with his palm before using his two fingers to massage your little swollen clit.
You threw your head back on his shoulder as he tugged at your sensitive nub.
“Gonna be good and let daddy breed his girl? Come on, baby, let Daddy fill you up. I know your little pussy wants it” He matched your pace when he felt your legs giving out, and he started bucking his hips into you, helping you ride him.
Luckily Jay had the radio on, and the quiet sounds of your guys' sweaty skin clapping against each other were drowned out.
“Yes, Daddy cum in me, please” You chewed on your lip, quieting your moans in the stifling van.
“Cum with Daddy, okay?” He said hurriedly, feeling high coming up on him.
“Hee- heeseung, I’m coming,” you breathed out.
“Oh god,” he grunted out. “Me too, y/n me t-too,” He spoke softly in your ear, and you felt his cock stiffen even more while he fucked into you and eventually spilled his seed inside you.
“Shit,” your squeak of a moan fell from your lips as he rubbed your clit in fast circles tipping you over the edge at the same time as him while his cock continued to ruin your spent pussy.
“Fuckkkkkkkk,” heeseung panted heavily in your ear as you felt his cock throbbing inside you and his warm ropes of cum staining your walls.
He didn’t think it was possible for an orgasm to feel so good, and to make it even better, your pussy just kept clenching on him nonstop, milking his dick for everything he had to give, which was a lot given the fact he hadn’t came in awhile.
“Fuck your cum into me, Daddy. Please, I’ve been a good girl for you,” you begged. Even though you were sensitive, you still needed to feel more of him.
“Fuck my girl is so dirty, such a naughty baby” He fulfilled your downright filthy wish, bucking his hip and fucking his cum back inside your used hole. He swiped his fingers over his length, collecting his release before holding it up to your mouth for you to suck on as he created a creamy mess between your sweaty bodies. “Does Daddy taste good?” You hummed around his fingers, and the lewd sticky sounds in the quietness of the van just made it ten times hotter you felt so dirty but so good at the same time.
Heeseung dared to look down and saw your pussy was nothing but a mess of his and your cum the creamy white ring around his base made him groan in pleasure as your pussy lips stretched around his length, taking everything he was giving to you.
After a few minutes, his cock had begun to soften, and he pulled out of you. You could feel his cum drip from your hole, and you put your hand under the small stream catching it in your palm once it leaked out of you.
You held your hand up to your mouth, licking it clean, refusing to let even a drop of him go to waste. “Such a good fucking girl for Daddy,” he breathed in your ear.
You looked back, smirking at him and showing him the creamy white on your tongue. “Let Daddy have a taste. Wanna have you on my tongue, baby” He gripped your jaw lightly, turning your face to the side so he could kiss you. You both kissed messily, playing with the liquid and passing it back and forth on each other’s tongues until it got lost in your guys' saliva and trickled down your throats. You both gulped each other's fluids down, humming in satisfaction before eventually pulling away.
You both pulled up your shorts and underwear once the post-orgasm clarity had kicked in, and the air was now quiet and peaceful heeseung’s hands fell on your waist. He then offered you some water, and you quietly accepted, swallowing the now room-temperature water.
He traced his hands over your belly, lifting up your crop top just a little to feel more of your skin on his fingertips as he kissed your neck occasionally.
You reached your hand back, tugging him forward by his neck, allowing him to press more wet kisses all over your exposed skin.
You’re not sure who rolled the windows down, but you were both so thankful when the cool breeze hit your warm skin. Both of you released a breath from the relaxing feeling of the chilly night air.
You cupped your other hand over his and ran your fingers through his dusty blonde hair. “We should do this again when we get to the hotel,” he hums against your neck. “Want to?”
“I’d love to,” you whisper, and you can feel him smiling on your skin.
So maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea, after all, to accompany the boys on their road trip.
FIN.

“Baby, we have to get up,” she pleaded. Bradley ignored her request and wrapped his arms around her midsection tighter.
A soft displeased hum left her lips—though it was mostly in jest. She could never be anything but content in Bradley’s arms. The sound only had the aviator nuzzling his head further against her neck, peppering light kisses across the exposed skin.
---
Before y/n, Bradley never slept in. Rooster was his call sign for a reason. For better or for worse, he had a habit of being up before the sun and the rest of the sane world.
Sleeping in meant that he was only prolonging the amount of time he spent in bed alone. The barrack beds were uncomfortable and cold. When he’d been promoted and was able to arrange for housing off-base he ran into the same issue. A thousand dollars and a new mattress later, the comfort issue was fixed. He might as well have been sleeping on a damn cloud. But his bed was still cold. And lonely.
Without an alarm clock he rose every morning no later than 5:30 a.m.. Maybe it was because of all his years in the military. Maybe it was the broken teenager inside of him that was always running—from his past, to his future, to find someplace somewhere that he could rest easy—and damn, was that exhausting. Everyone he loved and counted on died suddenly, or abandoned him, or died slowly.
As he got older, he found a little bit of peace. Bradley worked his ass off and earned his successful career. He reconnected with his estranged Godfather. He was reassigned to the same base he spent most of his early childhood at.
He slept better after that. In his mid-thirties, it was about damn time that he was able to relax a bit. Yet still, no amount of blankets warmed up the everpresent unwelcome chill.
---
One morning he had a particularly unpleasant wake-up. At just after 4 in the morning, Bradley woke up drenched in sweat. The nightmares weren’t frequent, but they weren’t uncommon. It came with the territory of being directly involved in combat. He couldn’t go back to sleep–he never could–so he got up. He cleaned his entire house. He watched a movie that he wasn’t paying attention to. He went for a run. He didn’t bother counting the miles, he just ran until he felt better; even though he never really did. When he was done showering, it was finally a socially acceptable hour to call someone.
Bradley’s thumb hovered over Pete’s phone number. Before he could talk himself out of it, he pressed harder than necessary on the screen and winced as the phone rang. After 3 rings Bradley’s tense shoulders deflated. Just before the call went to voicemail, it was picked up with haste. Shuffling could be heard on the other end of the line.
“Hi sweetie!” That’s not Maverick.
“Hey Penny…” he trailed off awkwardly. He was hardly prepared to have a conversation with his godfather, much less his godfather’s girlfriend.
“Mav is out in the hangar right now working on his plane,” Penny explained with a sarcastic air of ‘what else is new?’. There was more shuffling as Penny moved to hold the phone between her shoulder and ear. She had a splatter or two of pancake batter on her manicured hands. Pete would just have to suck it up when he saw the evidence on his phone later.
“I’m making breakfast right now, would you like to come over? I’ll make up a plate for you, hun,” Penny offered sweetly. She was so caught up in putting together her Sunday breakfast feast that she hardly realized she never asked Bradley why he called.
The younger man paused for a moment. He didn’t want to impose, but he really didn’t want to be alone right now.
Pete met Bradley at the front door with a fond smile. Bradley tried his best to return the smile but he wasn’t successful. His lips just looked like they were twisted in pain and there wasn’t much light in his eyes. Maverick’s brow furrowed. He wouldn’t push until the kid was ready to open up, and he had a feeling that wouldn’t be until after he had a plate full of Penny’s famous pancakes.
Amelia all but inhaled her breakfast before she twirled around the house like a mini tornado, grabbing her bag and keys and shouting ‘ThanksforbreakfastI’mgoingtothebeachwithsomefriendsloveyoubye!’ as the door slammed shut behind her. Maverick’s eyebrows raised and Penny just shook her head with a smile.
The older woman subtly watched Bradley clear his plate. She waited until he swallowed his last bite of food and washed it down with orange juice before she rested her soft hand over his white knuckle clenched fist on the table.
“What’s going on, Bradley?” she asked gently. She was careful–like he was a scared animal that might bolt in an instant. Pete leaned in, making sure he was within his godson’s line of sight too. Bradley couldn’t meet either of their eyes. He cleared his throat and was quiet for a moment.
He told them about the nightmare. About the cold sweat, and the cold sheets, and the cold bed, and the cold empty house. Mav’s heart broke. He was trying his best to do right by Goose; he’d just barely managed to repair his relationship with his godson, but he supposed there was only so much he could protect the younger aviator from.
Pete reached across to rest an arm on Bradley’s shoulder. He tensed then relaxed, but didn’t shake off Mav’s hand. Maybe that was a good sign. Penny’s gaze was sympathetic. Bradley rarely opened up to anyone, but he knew Penny was the person to go to when pity would make him nauseous.
“It might be helpful to get some company,” the older, wiser woman suggested and squeezed Bradley’s hand. His fist unclenched a bit. Pete had been mostly silent up until this point. He wasn’t good with emotions, that much was obvious to anyone who’d spent more than half an hour outside of work with the man.
“Company other than one night stands and the stray cats you swear you don’t feed,” Pete remarked. Rooster chuckled. It was the first genuinely positive reaction they’d seen from him this morning. The cats are lovely company, thank you very much, Bradley thought.
---
Bradley tried to get his shit together. He was mostly successful. He officially took in one of the stray cats. He brought him to the vet and made sure his vaccines were up to date and got the poor cat neutered. A cat tree tower took residence next to the backdoor Bradley left cat food out by.
He even tried his hand at gardening. He started a small vegetable garden and did a bit of landscaping. Two months ago he didn’t know which perennials were best suited for California weather, much less how to take care of them. Now he’d installed a carefully timed automatic sprinkler system and even built a tarp over part of the earthy plot to prevent too much sun exposure for some of the more delicate plants.
You have to love yourself before you can love someone else.
Bradley was convinced that phrase was absolute bullshit. Plenty of people were in happy relationships and still went through bouts of being miserable with themselves. Penny tsked Bradley’s pessimism at her bar top. She’d unofficially taken on the role of being his intermittent therapist.
“Bull shit or not, you need to work out some of your own issues before you start dating around,” she said pointedly. She was being pulled in the opposite direction by another bartender that needed her help when she shouted back to Bradley, “Don’t you dare download Tinder, mister!” The exclamation was far too loud for Bradley’s taste, especially when several heads suddenly whipped around to focus on him.
So work out his issues he did.
He stopped throwing himself into work and ruthless workouts simply for the sake of avoiding his thoughts and being alone. He tried out sitting in silence with his thoughts in his lonely house. He hated it. But he got better at it over time. Goose the cat climbing across his lap and snuggling against his thigh made things better.
Companionship. Mav and Penny were right. He needed someone outside of work. Someone whose life didn’t center around the Navy or planes or beer.
---
y/n wasn’t who he ever imagined ending up with. She didn’t particularly care for the U.S. military-industrial complex. She wasn’t a beer girl and she wasn’t very good at driving. She was afraid of heights so she preferred not to fly when she traveled. Whenever she could drive instead of take a flight, she would—even though she’s admittedly a bad driver.
y/n loved Bradley’s cat. She was a cat and a dog person. She was also a bearded dragon person—something that Bradley did not expect to learn about anyone over the age of 20. Her eyes were filled with wonder when she first laid eyes on his thriving vegetable garden.
y/n was very outdoorsy. She loved nature and the beach, she dragged Bradley out of his cold house more times than he could count. The more time y/n spent at his house, the less cold it felt. She brought Bradley on hikes—he had no idea how many trails and reserves were within driving distance. Bradley always drove.
Their green thumbs linked well together. y/n introduced several cat-safe plants to the interior of Bradley’s home. Every once in a blue moon, the couple would spend time at y/n’s apartment. Her roommate was even less of a fan of the military-industrial complex and it showed. One morning Bradley woke up before y/n so he headed to her kitchen to make them breakfast. Her roommate, Allie, woke up early as well. A not-so-casual conversation ensued (read: scrutinizing questions) about Bradley being ‘“Property of Uncle Sam” over the sound of scrambled eggs sizzling. After that, Bradley suggested they spend more time at his house. It was roomier, he reasoned. y/n snorted. “You just don’t want Allie talking at you at the butt crack of dawn,” y/n corrected. Bradley nodded with tight lips.
Mav and Penny enthusiastically offered to help move y/n into Bradley’s home after the spunky y/h/c accepted his offer with a massive grin and a PG-13 kiss.
Now that Bradley woke up with y/n in his arms every morning, he wasn’t really eager to hop out of bed anymore. He was pretty sure the last time he habitually woke up later than 9 in the morning on weekends was when he was in high school.
---
y/n huffed and leaned back into Bradley’s warm embrace. The man was practically a space heater in bed, but he was her space heater.
She twisted around in his arms with a grin so that they were chest to chest. Bradley’s legs tensed when y/n’s cold feet assaulted his skin.
“We need to go feed Goose,” y/n reasoned, even though she knew full well that Bradley couldn’t be reasoned with when he was comfortable in bed. Comfortable and bed were two words that weren’t associated with each other for quite a long time for Bradley.
“He can starve for a bit,” he mumbled without opening his eyes. y/n gasped and swatted his arm. The corner of his lip twitched into a grin as he leaned forward to blindly press a kiss to y/n’s face.
“You have morning breath, Brad,” she wrinkled her nose. He squinted one eye open and stuck his tongue out at y/n. She rolled her eyes but she too snuggled further into his warm embrace. 20 minutes or so passed by. y/n was falling in and out of almost asleep, and she was ready to get the day going.
She squirmed in Bradley’s arms again.
“Bradleyyy,” she groaned, feeling antsy. The aviator shook his head with a smile. For the first time all morning, he cracked his eyes open. The light streaming through the window highlighted the flecks of gold in his beautiful big brown eyes and y/n forgot what she was going to say.
“Shhh, five more minutes” he hushed softly and pressed a kiss to y/n’s nose, a content smile on his face.
“Give me a minute to hold my girl.”

Anomia
— Paring; Sgt. John “Soap” MacTavish x male reader. Fandom; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III
Anomia: (n.) the inability to recall the names of people or things.
Quote; “John MacTavish.”
Description; When someone is gone for so long, you can only remember so much. Disclaimer; SPOILERS TO THE NEW COD:MW3!! Angst, grief, major character death, sad, established relationship, forgetfulness, loneliness.
Word Count: 0.7k
Masterlist
A/N: No, I haven’t watched anything on the lore part of Modern Warfare III, however I have had plenty of spoilers and I’ve seen the specific cutscene of both Soap and Graves (was it Graves?) and TF141 being all sad and pouty.
Tumblr media
It’s been months. Months and yet still grief resonates in Y/N. It feels like just yesterday he was embracing such the warm presence of his now dead lover. Y/N can’t sleep. His tired, exhausted demeanor was evident to everyone, but no one dared to ask what was wrong. They too grieved, but not as hard as Y/N did.
Everything feels so dull. So dull and cold. Y/N lies wide awake in his once shared bed. He doesn’t dare lay on John’s side. Even when gone, Y/N couldn’t bring himself to mess with John’s things. The bed felt so much bigger. He never notices when John was deployed, but the sudden immortality of it left Y/N no choice but to realize it.
Y/N doesn’t talk about John and no one asked about him. Y/N finds himself forgetting how to say the man’s name, or maybe it’s just because the name has become so foreign to him. He’s forgotten the sound of John’s voice, desperately searching his camera roll for any recording to remind him. He’s forgotten what it felt like to hold him.
Y/N hates he can’t remember now, but it’s become so hard. The only thing he can’t seem to shake is when he found out.
Y/N stares at the ceiling. His hand wrapped around the metal slabs with numbers in the name “John MacTavish” indented onto it. He plays with the dog tags, looking at them, his thumb running over his boyfriend's name. He doesn’t cry. Not this time at least.
Y/N holds the tag up, so the moonlight from the curtain makes the words more visible. He ignores the rest, his focus just on that name. The room was dead silent except for the sound of a dog breathing.
“John MacTavish.” He whispered. Y/N’s nose scrunched up, cringing. It doesn’t sound right anymore.
Y/N kissed it. He then rolls over and puts the dog tags back in the nightstand drawer. He sat up and swung his legs over the edge of the bed. This catched the dog’s attention. Y/N stands up and puts his shoes on. He clicks his tongue at Angel. “Come on, girl. Get up.”
She happily gets up, excited for a new adventure as she follows Y/N downstairs. Y/N grabs a jacket, quickly putting it on. He puts Angel’s harness and leash on, grabs his wallet, and out he goes.
Y/N has completely convinced himself he’s just getting fresh air. Getting fresh air and buying flowers at a gas station with a light up sign that says “OPEN 24/7”. Getting fresh air and walking a mile away from home. Getting fresh air and standing in front of a rock with that same damn name.
Y/N’s shaky hands lace the flowers in front of the grave. He knows John’s not really buried there, but he can pretend. He sat down on the damp grass, Angel using this as a chance to try and lick his face to which Y/N quickly pushed her away.
He stared at the name. He nudged Angel and gestured to the gravestone as if she could understand. “Say hi to him. I bet he misses you so much.” He then chuckled. “Probably mad you have to sleep on the floor now. He’s not around to convince me to let you in the bed anymore.” He teased.
Y/N ruffled the dog’s fur. He then kissed Angel’s head. “I bet you miss him too, huh? Upset you have to live with me instead of him?” He asked. “Well, I miss him too, girl.”

Perversion, Immersion [Pervert!Roman Roy]
Tumblr media
Roman Roy discovers the magic of deepfakes, filtering through more and more images of you. He’s lucky you’re an entertainer at heart.
Warning! This piece is NSFW! It contains a dominating female reader and a perverted Roman. Dub-con due to nonconsensual use of her face in deepfake pornography. Praise kink, humiliation kink, and mixed signals.

Part II
⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆ ⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆ ⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆
The industrial revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for mankind. The advancement of technology served as a grim reminder that Roman would not be increasing in his addiction and obscenity since you had found out about it: the existence of deepfakes had only exacerbated this progression in depravity. Masturbation is natural, occurring in all facets of life where self-pleasure can set off dopamine receptors; the problem in humanity is the structure of manufactured morality. Ignorance is bliss reigns true but the lingering feeling of adrenaline as his camera roll started to become full of the public images of you.
LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, your youth had led you to being tech savvy and your beauty had led you to indulging in regularly posting pictures of yourself. Classy, but suggestive. Most photos of you were perfectly posed, half-lidded eyes and a little grin but not too big. Feeding them into the websites provided him this constant pleasure: your face projected on the porn star.
Enough angles fed made it seamless. It was no longer the porn star’s face, but yours. The mouth ajar and knit brows but the voice - the voice was too far off. It was maddening. What did you sound like moaning? Not that he would likely ever be able to get that comical assembly of moans and grunts that were restricted to the world of porn for the sake of theatrics. And everyday the collection grows, the number of porn stars with a body like yours are not in short supply. The amateur videos really add to the authenticity of it as he downloads it to his phone, sending the file in his emails before trying to delete the evidence. Or not. You really didn’t seem give a damn that he was basically fantasizing about you.
You don’t seem bothered now too.
“What’re you staring at like that for?”
His skin goes cold, pores erupting into goosebumps and hairs standing on end. No fear, just adrenaline.
It’s you.
Your face edited with that stupid website. Face covered in a load of cum as you looked up at the camera with lips wrapped around the bulbous tip of a dick. Silence.
Quiet. Stillness.
Until the first noise rips out of you: a real authentic snorting laugh. You stumble back with your head back - like a hyena - snorting and trying to breathe as tears well from the lack of air as you wheeze at Roman fumbling over his words and trying to rectify the frozen screen yet again. A vein pulses in his head as he starts to randomly pound buttons and mutter a string of curses at the frozen screen before you regain your composure with a grin.
“You’re a photoshop pro, Roman? Or did you master it to beat it to this pic of me?” you scoff smiling as you leaned back against the wall.
“No - just, you fuckin’ uh - this is a chick who just kind of, um - oh my god, y’know what? Fuck is your issue it’s just a pic as a joke and you literally fell for it -“
“A joke? Me sucking dick is a funny joke?” you snort, struggling to hold back a laugh as the vein pulsed in his head harder.
“Hysterical. You don’t get comedy and it’s not even you - just some uh chick who looks like you. You think you’re only chick who looks like that in the world?”
“Roman, I don’t have any nudes out there. Camera shy,” you start, drawing closer to him with little clicks of your heels, “and that ‘chick’ has the mole near my eye.”
He glances back at the screen before immediately drawing back to whip back and view your face - over and over. He looked like he’d break his neck like that.
“What? If you wanna see me suck dick you can just ask me.” His face simultaneously drains of blood and flushes all at once, dick confused if it should get hard or stay shy and soft in his trousers.
“What?”
“What do you mean what? I know you heard me,” you drawl, “do you not want me to suck it?”
“I do! I mean, uh,” he coughs leaning back to look cool and collected, “I do… but not, um, today. Y’know, I like to test the waters? I’m a verbal guy you just keep that chatting and it’ll be your dick audition. Since you’re literally craving it if you’re offering like that -“
“Then take out your dick.”
Quiet.
“I don’t uh - want you to watch me,” he choked, “talk to me, c’mon, start that dirty shit since you’re so horny like that-“
“Take out your dick. You stupid or something? Why do I need to walk you through unzipping and taking your dick out?” You rolled your eyes but seemed to oblige, walking toward the door where your phone was on a table by. Back to him, you leaned over - round ass taunting him in the tight fabric of your skirt. Garters on display.
“I’m not even gonna look at you, since you wanna be a baby about it… probably don’t wanna see your nasty dick,” you scoff and start scrolling through your phone as your knees lightly shifted weight to weight to make your ass move a bit. It’s enough to spark the little shame that he loved to make him start palming himself through the trousers.
“Tch, you stroking your dick to my ass? Good,”
Hard breaths. Harsh huffs. Fiddling with the flesh to reach orgasm at a sight. Because you couldn’t be bothered to let him touch you. Too good to be soiled by a disgusting, sorry man like himself.
“You wish you could touch me, don’t you?”
A huff.
“Yeah…”
“Don’t even fuckin’ try. You’ve been a creep,” you huff, “stuffing pics of me into some website to jack off to.” Your ass taunted him, probably fleshy under the tight pencil skirt. Untouched by him, undeserving of touching it.
“Say it. Say you’re a creep,” you scoff.
Breath hitching, the way you play him like a fiddle, has the veins of his cock throbbing and his balls tightening uncomfortably. If he came too fast, you’d laugh. If he didn’t come at all, he’s a brick with a dick. Takes too long to cum? Roman can’t cum off a pretty broad and you could scoot off and tell everyone Roman’s as close to gay as an old Rome orgy. The way you suddenly stand straight has him anxious - reeling at fast movements and change as he always had.
You turn on your heel, that stone face meeting his eyes. The statuesque positioning only serves to make him reel more internally, softening just a little at the way your face returning to its natural stoic expression; he was starting to miss that coy girlish giggle you did when you saw his screen frozen again in the grim series of misfortunes called his life.
He gets hard again as you draw closer, slow strides and the sound of your kitten heels scraping the floor as you come closer with your hands fiddling with the buttons of your professional workwear that always screamed “office minx” with the way the buttons were always a little spread and trying to free your tits from its confines.
“You’re cute. Do me a favor since I’m being so nice to a creep like you,” you coo sweetly like glazing your malicious half-hearted words in icing to make it palatable. If you’d called him a simmering piece of dog shit and stepped on his balls, he’d probably harden the same anyway.
Two pieces of clothing sit on his desk, ragdolled by gravity and no longer clinging to the owner but still reeking of your perfume. Something halfway between girlish and womanly, it has a floral note that Roman breathes in clearly from where he is now: suckling at your tit.
Your eyes closed, soft huffs of minty breath from those puffy peppermints on your desk, cooing and petting his head like a puppy. Those nails scratching at the back of his neck; it’s a gentle movement that leaves him reeling, leaves his cock twitching and balls tightening drawing closer and closer and closer -
“Good boy, good boy… not so creepy, you’re so good… you can cum, baby boy,” you coo.
The sensation is different. Used to his ejaculations being spurred by the feeling of being talked down to, when he spills to you pressing soft kisses to his hairline it feels too close to intimacy.
And intimacy was debilitating.
The spent on his hands is warm and he is naming 4 things he can touch as just: cum, cum, cum, and cum. You slip back on your bra and button-up (a tad more wrinkled than it was earlier) and the wafting scent of your perfume is contaminated by the musk of his cologne.
Your eyes are stone again and your face unchanged. Mellowed with time and that time was only seconds. The sweet sugar of your voice spills through his hands like sand and he wishes it was more solid, like a horse wanting a sugar cube after a subpar trick. You stink of him as you mutter goodnight, grabbing the bag and leaving once you had your fill, and your silhouette lost in the hallway as his office door clanks shut.
The only evidence that you were here at all is the bit of chapstick, strawberry and $3 and generic, still sticky on his hairline.
The taste of sugar depletes and his mouth feels dry. Can tomorrow come any quicker? Any quicker than him?

Oh I hope to read your theory soon , I think it’s Everest Base Camp the busy days on SM possibly during acclimatising and now quiet on the actual trek . He has mentioned the documentary briefly in recent interviews saying the planned movie was cancelled , if not that I’d guess another book about the experience . Doubt he met with Jake N as a fan bet he was planning something .
Well you name the things we all saw. The movie that isn't going to happen, he so looked forward to it. Yes, we saw him with Jake N. while holding a book about Everest. Yes he mentioned a number of times how he would like to do a documentary or something about it. But did we really think he'd do it, and like now... doubtful.
Yes, I mentioned last Monday briefly, when I posted all the speculation about his whereabouts and said I considered Nepal seriously for a bit, and how I saw Jake N is in Nepal as well.
Yesterday I was chatting to someone with whom I often brainstorm and share thoughts regarding where he might be when it's not clear, or what he might be doing. We were talking about how normally there is always something, a lead, that points us in the right direction. Either by himself or by a fan pic or something.
Now knowing that he's been off the grid since last Thursday and the days before showing activity in a timezone that mostly matched Asia. I revisited the idea of Nepal, or India, Himalaya, trekking. I looked up some things on sites, and discovered how
November is a best time for trekking in India in winter, as the weather is generally cold and the landscapes are adorned with autumnal hues. If you’re an adventure adventure lover and seeking for amazing experience then India offers a various trekking options that allow you to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.
And saw a number of treks in the Everest Basecamp area, and started looking at locations on IG. Wow quite stunning, I must say. Of course would love to find him in a pic or a video but quite honestly, the footage people post from there, wow, just wow so beautiful. What a fantastic place, and the way they talk about their treks and trips...
Tumblr media
Anyway, it was getting late (as usual) and I told my chat partner, I was gonna sleep and planned to look at it the next day. I was halfway up the stairs as it suddenly dawned on me. I almost banged my head against the wall, how could I forget... of course there is always a lead... I went back to my chat partner, cause I had to tell her...
Remember the shirt? No, not the one I posted in my previous post... this one
Tumblr media
Nepal... and the text on the sleeve
“I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and love today”
Someone back then already said,
"So is it a subliminal marketing choice for an upcoming Everest production or is he doing some deep diving into his future"
And now we're here... asking why he's off the grid for days now and was posting at this weird times... yeah makes sense now. Oh and btw. there's the Patagonia hat as well!
And even more... quite a number of people were saying how he seemed distracted lately, during the book events especially. Well, if he's there doing a trek of multiple days, and it is not gonna be an easy one (I mean, he already almost quite the WHW), I can imagine he might have been a little nervous about the kind of trip he was going to make.
Anyway, I haven't found the evidence (yet) so it's still a theory, but have seen such fantastic posts and stories about it all day, so no time wasted here. Loved to look at it, and will keep looking. Who knows maybe soon he'll give us a teaser. He could be off the grid for a while, though some of these treks have resting days, but most people post after their trek.

“Am I your lockscreen?”
“You weren’t supposed to see that.”
and/or:
"I’m too sober for this.”
“You don’t even drink.”
“Maybe I should start.”
(from the sentence starter list!)
Thank you for these prompts! I'm excited to go through them :D
1.
Commander Trouble Kelp dropped his head to his desk. It had been one of those days.
When he was younger, those days mostly meant running around after a particularly crafty criminal, or at most getting hit hard enough to be sent to a warlock for recovery. Now, as Commander of LEP Recon, those days were filled with bureaucratic meetings, enough technobabble from an egocentric centaur to make your ears fall off, and yet another IA review.
He missed the days where he only worried about getting squashed by a Troll.
His personal communicator buzzed beside him. He tried to ignore it. Foaly had, for some reason, decided that it would be a good idea to release his personal number to a whole slew of reporters and paparazzi. Trouble was of half a mind to slash the tech-wizard's budget in half in retaliation.
Then his communicator buzzed again, and he made up his mind.
"What's taking so long?" a bright, cheery voice cut into his introspective complaints. He lifted his head to see Commodore Holly Short, her shock of auburn hair and wide smile poked in through his office door.
In spite of it all, Trouble felt a grin cross his face. Then he dropped back down. "I'm going to kill your friend," he grumbled. "I swear. This time I'm really going to do it."
As Holly laughed and sauntered over to his side, his communicator buzzed again. "What did he do this time?" she asked, casually running a hand through his short brown hair. His comm buzzed three more times in the time it took her to ask the question.
"I'm serious," Trouble said, lifting his head to look at her. "I'm going to-" his voice cut off when he realized that she wasn't looking at him anymore. Her fingers continued to trail idly through his hair, and the grin on her face had only widened, but now she was staring intently at his comm.
"Trouble," she said, picking the device up off the desk, "am I... am I your lockscreen?"
The young commander felt his cheeks turn red. "What?" he snapped immediately, his voice defensive. "No."
Holly turned on him a look that could freeze molten rock. "You may be able to lie to a lot of people, Trubs," she said tersely, "but I was never one of them." Then she turned his communicator so that he could see it. "So I'm going to ask you again, and I expect you to be honest this time. Am I your lockscreen?"
Trouble's cheeks heated further as he stared at the offending evidence - a beautiful picture he had snapped of her on one of their days off. She was wearing something casual and laughing, her head tossed back and her auburn hair had fallen back from her forehead. It was his favorite picture of her.
"You weren't supposed to see that," he finally answered.
Holly just laughed, the ice-cold expression on her face thawing and the smile sliding back into place on her lips. She bent down to kiss his forehead. "It's time for you to come home, Commander," she whispered with a twinkle in her eye. "I'll help you get back at Foaly for whatever he did in the morning."
She then grabbed his hand and pulled him out of his chair. For once, Trouble didn't mind being told what to do.

2.
Clone Commander Fox was many things. He was a fighter. He was a leader. According to Stone he was a control freak.
Right now, Commander Fox was bored.
"You look like you're ready to kill something," a light voice hummed in his ear.
Fox turned sharply to the side, still unaccustomed to the playful attitude of his companion. She smiled and a quiet giggle escaped her lips as her golden eyes burned into his own.
"I'm fine," Fox said, clearing his throat uncomfortably. "Just... enjoying the party, Ma'am."
The young senator laughed again, leaning close enough to brush deliberately against his arm. Fox felt his skin rise as she drew her lips close enough to his ear to let her warm breath wash over his skin as she said, "First, I already told you to just call me Riyo tonight." Though her tone was somewhat reproachful, her eyes still sparkled with laughter. "And second, you promised you would be honest."
Fox took a deep breath. His instinct was to brush her off and try some other polite excuse... exactly what he did every time one of the Senators decided to descend to the lowly clones' level and speak to him for a moment. But one more look into Senator Chuchi's - Riyo's - bewitching eyes and his usual MO was out the window.
"I think that I'm too sober to be here," he answered more sincerely than he had meant to.
Riyo let out a real laugh this time, and for just a moment Fox allowed himself the luxury of imagining spending his entire life doing whatever it took to hear that sound over and over again. "You don't even drink, Fox," she said, resting a hand on his bicep to help support her as she continued to chuckle.
He turned his attention to the crowd around in order to hide the blush on his cheeks. Immediately he caught the sight of several Senators cavorting about and drunkenly cackling. "If you're going to keep dragging me to these things, I think I should start," he commented dryly.
Realizing what he had accidentally said, Fox couldn't help but shoot her a guilty sideways glance.
She was smiling up at him. Her azure eyebrows delicately arched, her eyes wide with an almost childlike delight. The faintest ghost of a smile graced her lips as she stared up at him.
"So, you plan to let me drag you to more of these?" she asked, her voice barely louder than a whisper.
Fox's cheeks burned. "I didn't say that."
"Yes you did," Riyo countered, her grin only widening. She glanced around quickly to ensure that no one was looking at them, then leaned up on her toes and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. "And I'm going to make you live up to it," she whispered before dropping back to her feet.
Fox shook his head ruefully. He was in trouble with this one, he just knew it.
And the worst part? He was going to love every minute of it.

A/N: For @gcsfanzine ! I love the antics these three get into, with Selina forced into the responsible role because she’s the only one of the three with some conscience.
Ivy was sick. Selina took a moment to contemplate the thought, to fully savour the situation she found herself in. Poison Ivy, Pamela Isley, one-woman army and stone-cold bitch, was sick. Sick enough to need help, to ask for help.
And the well-known misanthrope needed Selina’s help.
It was hard enough to think about, let alone believe. Yet, Selina couldn’t doubt the evidence in front of her. Sprawled across Harley’s plush, king-sized mattress, an extremely grumpy Ivy glared at the ceiling. Her fingers tapped the blankets ceaselessly, her jaw clenched so hard Selina could have broken walnuts against it. She looked like a cantankerous alley cat. She also looked entirely out of place buried amongst Harley’s infinite plushies.
How Harley had managed to force Ivy into her bedroom, Selina had no idea. The whole place looked like the residence of a punk princess, a strange hybrid of cute frills and black leather. Neither of the two vibes fit Ivy and put together they just looked even more garish.
“Ahh.” Ivy breathed out harshly before forcing herself up into a seated position. Her red hair clung to her sticky skin, giving her an oddly deflated appearance. There was a reddish tint to her green skin. All in all, she looked like a sick person. A very cranky sick person. “I’m leaving.”
Selina snorted inelegantly. There was the Ivy she knew and tolerated. From across the room, she gestured at the foot of the bed and raised a brow. “How? You broke your leg. And you have a fever.”
Ivy fisted her hand and hit the mattress. A shark plushie fell off the bed. “The fucking hyenas broke it.” Her hair had a life of its own and rose, giving her a lion-like mane. Maybe it sensed its mistress’s rage. “I’ll kill them.”
“You’d be doing me a favour.” Selina wrinkled her nose as she thought of those mangy mutts. The number of times she’d almost lost a cat to them—she should have kicked them out months ago.
“Hey!” Harley growled as she entered the room holding a tray laden with food. She was dressed as a sexy nurse, though that didn’t make her glare any less intimidating as she stomped her foot. “Stop being mean to my babies!”
Selina rubbed her forehead. By now, she should be used to Harley’s level of chaos and nonsense, but somehow the woman continued to surprise her. At least the soup looked decent. “Did you really need the outfit?”
Holding the tray in one hand, Harley arched her back and jutted her hip as she mimicked a pin up poster. “Of course! It’s part of the care package!” She blew a kiss to Ivy. “Don’t you just love it?”
Not caring a wit about the fanservice, Ivy’s expression grew colder than the tundra. “Pick one of them to die or they all will.”
“Neither!” Harley carefully set the soup down on her side table before turning to Ivy. She bent forward and poked her sick friend on the cheek. “I’ll take good care of you in exchange.”
“You’d have to do that anyways!” Ivy swatted her hand away, her scowl only increasing in intensity. “This happened because of you.”
“She has a point, you know.” Selina crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, more than content to just watch the show instead of participating. “We had a deal. Your hyenas are supposed to stay in the basement.”
“They do!” Harley pouted, puffing her cheeks as she glanced up at Selina. “I was only taking them out for a walkie.”
If Harley intended for that to be reassuring, it was the exact opposite. Selina groaned and closed her eyes. There were enough eyes on their shared residence without the hyenas as is. “Oh, so I should expect more missing pet flyers? These things are a nuisance.”
“They’re not things, they’re family.” Between the pig-tails and the pout, Harley was akin to a sulking toddler. Sometimes Selina couldn’t believe that she had a degree and keen intuition. “They just get hungry sometimes but they know better than to mess with you. Or your cats.”
“Oh, and is that why they tackled me?” Ivy asked, her smile as sharp as a razor blade at the slight. “Food? They think I’m weak?”
“They just bumped into you! It’s not their fault you were holding poison. And it didn’t just splash on you, it hit them!” Harley huffed, crossing her arms. She turned up her nose. “Maybe you should be more careful.”
Ivy’s voice dropped dangerously low. “Are you blaming me?”
Selina could practically feel the vines crawling through the pipes and concrete. She groaned. “Don’t break the place, I just finished paying for it.”
“My plants are hungry.” Ivy pushed her hair out of her face, steeling herself as she tried to get up. “Maybe I should give them a snack.”
Harley grabbed her shoulders and firmly pushed her down. “You’re still sick and stop saying that!”
At this rate, Selina was going to get a headache. Or become homeless. It was time to step in. Slowly, she approached the struggling pair. “Harley.” She rested her hand on her shoulder, squeezing it tightly. Just enough that the threat was there. “Next time, the hyenas are gone.”
Harley glanced at her, then looked away. “Fineeee.”
“Great.” Selina turned to Ivy and tried not to smirk. Maybe she should take a picture later, for blackmail. “It’s too late to go back to your room, just live with it.”
Ivy’s frown deepened, as though she heard Selina’s thoughts. “I—” she protested.
Harley cut her off. “If you want to leave, I have to feed you.”
“Huh?” Flabbergasted, Ivy stared at her.
Harley picked up a spoon. She smiled deviously. “Should I pretend this is a train? Or maybe a bee coming to pollinate?”
“…fuck you.” Ivy snatched the spoon.
“Great, we have a deal! I’ll go get a cooling pack.” Harley sprang to her feet. Blowing another kiss, she spun on her heel and skipped out of the room. “Just you wait, I have great patient care.”
“Fifty bucks says she kills you,” Selina said the second Harley disappeared.
“It’s not a bet if we’re both on the same side.” Ivy tucked her hair behind her ear and took a careful sip of the soup. “Huh, not bad.”
“So she really can cook.” Selina shook her head. Was it something Harley had picked up after she’d changed, or was it something a lonely psychiatrist had learned after pulling long shifts? “It’s not poisoned?”
“Probably not.” Ivy took another spoonful. She closed her eyes as she swallowed, as though absorbing information on it. Maybe she could; Selina never fully understood her meta abilities with plants and their poisons. “It’s fine.”
“Maybe I should bet she’ll actually heal you.” Selina reached forward, pressing a hand to Ivy’s neck. “Your fever doesn’t seem that high and if you can talk and eat like that, I guess that other poison didn’t actually hurt you that much.”
Ivy stiffened under her touch and Selina recoiled. They stared at each other for a long moment before Selina looked away. “Force of habit,” she muttered in lieu of an apology.
“Habit?” Ivy lightly touched her neck.
“That…it’s an old memory.” Selina clenched her hand. A very old memory. It had been years since she’d let herself think of her childhood on the streets, even longer since she let herself think of Maggie and Holly and how they used to be.
Ivy studied her before changing the topic. It was oddly tactful of her. “The poison was just a paralysis.”
“But you can move?”
“Barely.” Ivy flopped back on the bed, her hair spreading around her. “I doubt I could actually make it back to my room.”
“And here you were trying to act so strong.” Selina snickered. Maybe she should have let Ivy try, if only to see her flop off the bed and stumble down the hall. “I’ll get you a Tylenol.”
Ivy scowled. “I don’t need any medicine. It’s not like they work on me anyways.”
“That’s why you don’t turn your blood into a pharmacy cocktail,” Selina muttered, rolling her eyes. “Then I’ll just grab one for myself. If I have to keep dealing with your weird foreplay, I’ll need it.”
As she left, she dodged the plush piranha Ivy hurled. “You really are doing better,” Selina teased before disappearing down the hall.
In the distance, she could hear several small thuds as Harley got her care supplies. Clearly, she was going after more than just a cooling pack, and Selina was both scared and curious to find out what it was. Either way, she’d have to especially make sure she didn’t get sick after this. With Ivy’s vindictive personality, Selina would suffer two-fold in Harley’s hands.
A soft nudge shook her out of her stupor. Selina peeked down to find Alexander, a calico tom, brushing against her as she walked. She chuckled, reaching down to give him a good head rub before entering her bedroom.
Perhaps it was because she had worn a costume for years now, whether it was for good or evil, but Selina had a well-stocked medicine cabinet that could rival a drug store. Amidst ordinary painkillers and bandages, there were black market drugs to cover any niche injury. Selina’s finger brushed against each bottle as she checked for more over-the-counter solution.
The first one on the second row froze her.
With shaky fingers, she pulled it out and stared at it. A baby’s cough medicine. Grape flavoured. Only a third of it used. The bottle was brown.
Selina should have tossed it long ago. She should toss it now.
She wasn’t quite ready to let go of that dream, of her daughter returning home.
Pressing her forehead against the cabinet, Selina sighed. Ivy wasn’t the only one vulnerable tonight, it seemed. This wasn’t the time or place for these thoughts. They certainly weren’t the right people to have these thoughts around. Even now, Harley and Ivy still tried to pry into her relationship with Gotham’s protectors, hoping to extract the valuable secret identities she carefully guarded.
Who knew what they’d do if they found out about her daughter or her sister or any of the people Selina had stepped on to get to where she was now?
“This is stupid,” Selina muttered to herself as she returned to Harley’s room. She’d just make sure Ivy was alive, that Harley wasn’t up to no good, and then she’d retire for the day. It had been a trying couple of hours. She’d earned a rest.
“Are you seriously staying all night?” Ivy snarled.
A rest she was definitely not going to get. Selina braced herself as she entered Harley’s room. As expected, Ivy was still lying on the bed, though now with a neon blue ice-pack on her forehead. Her hands kept reaching it, trying to tear it off, but Harley kept swatting them back down.
Harley sniffed. “I have to, you’re too stubborn to heal up otherwise.”
The surprise was Harley. As usual. Perched on the bed right next to Ivy, she wrapped an arm around Ivy’s shoulders to hold her in place. The bowl of soup next to her was half-finished, so Selina didn’t have to worry if Ivy would starve tonight. On Ivy’s knees, a laptop perched precariously.
Noticing her return, Harley waved. “You’re back!”
“I thought I should keep the house in one piece,” Selina drawled, glancing at Ivy. “Ivy too, I guess.”
“Like you’d last ten minutes with just her,” Ivy scoffed, not buying the bluff.
“We’re watching a movie,” Harley interrupted, grinning. “Wanna join?”
“I…” Selina pursed her lips, her excuse on the tip of her tongue.
“Please?” Harley begged, batting her eyes. “With a cherry on top.”
“If you leave me alone with her, I’ll kill you.” Ivy crossed her arms as she leaned back, accepting her fate. “Sit on the bed but don’t get too comfortable. The second it’s done, you’re both out.”
“Comfortable?” Selina laughed, slipping into the empty space. “Like a cactus like you would let me.”
She didn’t need the reminder. She already knew better. The moment Selina got comfortable with them, the moment she spilled her secrets, these quiet moments would come to an end.
And she wasn’t sure if she was ready for that.

Tumblr media
heizou & kazuha x gn!reader | wc: 1518 | college!au | them courting you :)
~ courting ; evident in courtship in the philippines is the practice of singing romantic love songs, reciting poems, writing letters, and gift-giving before having a romantic relationship with the filipina. this respect extends to the filipina's family members.
~ in heizou's part, reader is said to be a psychology major
shikanoin heizou ♡
meeting heizou:
you went to the library to get some books for the midterms, you wanted to study as much as you can.
when you first met him, he was reading a… criminology book?
interesting… you thought.
unfortunately for you, he felt someone staring and looked right back at you
(awkward…)
“hi! can i help you?” he broke the silence.
“ah, no. just surprised a criminology major would be reading a book instead of practicing martial arts.”
“haha, well yes. i could practice. but, professor sara said i need to study more about criminal behavior. besides, i’m already pretty good at punching and kicking stuff.”
you giggle at his words.
“is punching and kicking really all there is to martial arts? it sounds easier than med.”
“well of course, criminology isn’t always about martial arts. it’s also about predicting what the criminal will do and what the outcome might be so you can stop whatever they’re doing.”
“true… you know if you’re struggling with human behavior, i can help you with that.”
“oh? what’s your major?”
“psychology.”
“well, then, future psychiatrist, i’ll give you my number and i’ll ask you when the time comes.” he tries to subtly wink, though failing because you saw him.
“you’re funny, what’s your name?” you ask, getting more curious as to who this is.
“shikanoin heizou. yours?” wait…
he’s the shikanoin heizou!?
the one that could beat you to a pulp with a single punch!?
“hehe, you looked surprised. something on your mind?” he asks nonchalantly.
“uhm- no, it’s nothing. just didn’t expect i was speaking to the guy who could kill you with just his hands.”
“kill is too harsh, no? i prefer beat. you still haven’t told me your name yet, sweetheart. unless you prefer for me to call you that.” you’re flushed and he’s using it to his advantage. is that a skill criminology majors have?
“it’s [name]. [name] [last name].”
he went silent for a few seconds, then smiled.
“hm, [name] as in campus crush [name]?”
“hah!?” you almost screamed, what was that nickname and who made it?
“you didn’t know? almost everyone wants to be you or be with you.”
“who made that name for me?”
“someone named “kaeya” from criminal justice.” you should have known…
“well i’ll go talk to him. i need to go now, heizou.”
“wait, where’s your number?”
“oh yeah, a second…” you typed in your number phone, he beamed once you gave it back.
“alright… i still need to study for midterms. bye.” you swiftly left the library, forgetting to get some books you needed.
kaeya also got a special visit from you.
heizou courting you:
he’s a peculiar type, always trying to annoy you or, in his words, spend time with you.
he uses the “i need help with human behavior” excuse but most of the time, it’s just him trying to flirt with you.
“[name], what else do you do best other than taking my breath away?”
“do you know what kind of fruit you’d be? no? well, you’d be a fine-apple.” (i laughed here)
“are you dead? ‘cause you seem like you’re straight from heaven.”
“would you be the muse to my inspiration?”
“do i ever tell you how dreamy you are?”
would give you his jackets and hoodies just out of the blue or when you’re cold and you forget to return it.
they’re all bad and you know it, but he still manages to make you blush.
you didn’t know if it was because of his looks or his lines because they were so cheesy.
“aren’t you cold? here, have my jacket. no, i’m not cold right now.”
he also gives you gifts randomly. but when it’s for your birthday, god damn, where did he get the money for this?
he also calls you pet names.
“here! happy birthday! hm? well, it’s a laptop. why? ‘cause i know you need it and i had some money so i thought i could gift it to you. me? i already have a laptop.”
“sweetheart, could you help me with this?”
“lovely, can i borrow a pen?”
“well, don’t you look good, darling.”
you don’t really mind since you think it’s his nature to subconsciously call people pet names.
whenever you try to tease him by calling him a pet name, he’s as red as the youtube icon.
“heizou, darling, kindly give me the pen back.”
“huh-!?”
yeah, not very composed.
though you have to admit that it’s cute.
people always see you and heizou around campus, almost as if you’re stuck together by the hip.
people ship you two but you’re more focused on getting your diploma before any relationships.
but, dear lord, how annoyed you were when heizou heard this.
“hehe, others also seem to think we’d be a good match. don’t you?”
kaedehara kazuha ♡
meeting you:
a new café just opened, of course you’re going to see what it’s like!
once you’ve set foot inside, you were met with the amazing smell of pastries being baked and coffee being made
yup, your new study area.
you decided to try their latte, it looked good on the menu, it should taste good too, right?
“next, please.” the cashier told the line. you were next, so you mentally prepped yourself. let’s just say you're more on the introverted extrovert side.
“good afternoon. may i take your order?” the cashier asked.
“uh, can i have a latte?” you tell the person. the cashier looks like your age, he has a unique hairstyle, might i add.
“of course, that will be $3.99.” you give five dollars, getting the change back.
“what’s your name? for the latte.” he asks, if you were being honest, he looked cute.
“[name].” you gave an innocent smile after.
“alright. i’ll call you when your order’s ready.” he gave the same smile back, it sent butterflies in your stomach.
god damn, he was cute. you thought.
you went to your table getting out your laptop to start an essay due.
after a few minutes, you finally hear your name get called.
“[name]?”
you get up and get your drink, thanking the cashier as well. you could see that his cheeks were tinted a baby pink after handing your drink, almost as if he was embarrassed to give it.
you go back to doing your essay, going on for hours until it was sunset and they were closing. only then did you notice there was something written on your cup.
“hey! text me when you have time :) xxx-xxxx-xxx -kaed”
you blush, did the cashier really like you so much that he gave his number?
little did you know, he watched your reaction and he must say, you’re cuter when flustered.
courting you:
ok.
when you both found out you go to the same university and were in the same creative writing class, you were suddenly always sitting together.
some found it weird but let it go because it wasn’t their business.
he also gets lattes from the cafe and gives it to you when visiting.
his love languages are quality time, words of affirmation, and acts of service!!
i can picture him going to your apartment and just do random shit with you.
example; going on omegle and calling random people, although you do most of the talking, he just listens to your melodic voice
another is writing poems and showing them to you, yeah you’re a blushing mess when you find out his inspiration is you.
whenever you both are together, he would always tell you words of affirmation, one way or another.
“you look beautiful.”
“have i ever told you that i’m grateful you’re in my life?”
“i’m proud of you.”
“i’m lucky to have met you.”
whenever you’re struggling in your literature class, he would just give you pre-made poems and sonnets so you won’t have to and, of course, they’re amazing.
they make your heart flutter, especially when it’s love poems.
“to have you in my life is amazing,
because of you, i would do everything.
the shining sun does not compare to you,
for your smile is everlasting and true.
i adore everything about you.
you welcome the world as if it was new.
of course, i love everything you do,
how i wished you knew my feelings for you.”
of course, you would get a high score but would feel guilty
so you bring him to whatever store he would like and buy him anything he wants.
but he always declines and says “i offered to give you my work. i don’t need a reward in return.”
gosh darn it, he’s so humble i can’t with this man!!
he would play you tunes by his leaf
you were obviously very confused and a bit concerned because what the hell, who plays with a leaf?
but when you heard it, oh my god it was so good!!
you told him he could be on a band
he said no and stated that “it is but a hobby i do for fun and i don’t plan on pursuing it in the future.”
i love him sm

Chapter 5: After Hours / I Think We Have the Guy
during the few hours after the meetup, kyle gets a troubled tip from a mysterious text and yn gets a name.
wc: 1753 cw: implied alcohol + drug use, mental health stuff, details about the murders (graphic, but not totally detailed) check the series masterlist here! previous chapter
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kyle’s body sunk into his bed, the cold sheets enveloping his dazed state. Only the light from the moon illuminated his room as it gently hit his face. His gaze was pointed to the ceiling, mind full of worry. He didn’t even bother to change out of his clothes yet. He was too preoccupied and exhausted to do that.
At least today’s over with, right? He couldn’t help it, though, many conflicting sets of emotions washing over him.
He couldn’t sleep over the fact that he, like, almost attacked someone. It goes against what he even stands for. What the hell was that even that for? He knew he was going to deal with someone sick when he approached YN, but he didn’t think that he’d already get looped into the sick shit they did already.
Fuck. Does that mean that only worse was to come for him? He hoped not, but so far this mission seemed to not guarantee anything for him. Would he have to make the first move on YN once more? Is he going to see the borrower again? Would he have to do worse? It hasn’t even been six hours, yet he feels like things are only going to go for the worse.
It’s okay, though. This is all going to be worth it. This is all for the better good. Peace will be restored once he gets his evidence, and he might even get transferred to a better position if all goes well.
…Right?
All of a sudden, sweeping his thoughts off for a split moment, a ping from his phone could be heard. He checked to see what it was—a notification.
April 1, 1:11 AM
??? hi kyle. i’m sure you’re looking for the killer on the letter case, yes? well, you’ve actually already found your guy. it’s me.
Just because this person messaged you at a time and date that involves angel numbers, does not mean this is your guy.
The letter case is the string of murders Kyle has been solving for the past few weeks. That’s what it was called by locals because each victim had a love letter (unsure if for them) placed somewhere at the crime scene. It makes it seem rather lighthearted when the actual murders were grisly and simply not for the faint of heart.
He was shocked, to say the least. He had to sit there for a few moments. This guy must be insane. He could technically track their location. At least in the morning. Yeah, that’s the first thing he’ll do once he gets to work.
Maybe he was a fake anyway. I mean, there are definitely some sick people out there who’d come out and say that they’re the murderer when they really aren’t—perhaps this guy was just one of them.
??? don’t just leave me on read!!! i know you’re reading this, you were just out a while ago you’re gonna make me reaaall sad if you don’t reply :(
How the hell does this kid know where Kyle’s been? Could it be YN? Maybe it was some who just really lucky at guessing things.
He rolled his eyes and sighed. I guess he had to reply. What would happen if he didn’t? Would another body show up tomorrow? There hasn’t been any indication that the timing of the murders seemed to be patterned. For all he knew, the killer may tend to strike whenever they’re upset.
I mean, it wouldn’t hurt to know whatever was happening anyway. This might just be some kid, but by the off chance that this is his guy, then score for him.
kyle how can i even confirm that you are the killer anyways?
??? i know things that most people don’t like i know that you’re the guy in charge of the case
kyle i’ve given statements to the news about the status of the culprit multiple times
??? the first victim is a bakery owner the second was her mentee/cousin the next one is a local idol lastly the most recent one is a seamstress
kyle i believe those details have been disclosed as well
??? stop being mean!!! hmph :<
kyle i’m not? i’m just simply stating that the information you’ve provided me with so far is all accessible by the public
??? you leave me with no choice then! i have photos of the bodies
The next thing Kyle received were photos of the bodies, some of them dissimilar to those recorded by the department. Maybe it was one of those journalists? He wasn’t sure.
A few photos seemed to stand out, though. Some of them were photos of the victims  unconcious in the places where their bodies were found. They hadn’t been mutilated yet, though. They were just knocked out.
Kyle didn’t want to put his trust in that person yet. Maybe it was edited? You’re gonna need one hell of an editor to do that, though.

kyle i’m gonna need more than that
??? so mean! i didn’t!!!
kyle  okay? look, if you’re some kid trying to be cool, please stop it it’s really disrespectful
??? i’m not a kid dipshit i do have proof clyde donovan is the son of the seamstress he said that he was likely targeted by the killer a few days before his death he was held at gunpoint by me and he said that i wanted to sew a football in his face he thought it was funny at first but after seeing how the dress his mother made was sewn onto her he didn’t find it that comedic anymore
The urge to throw his phone across the room out of fear was tense, almost palpable. Chills crawled up his spine. Why? It’s because the guy was correct.
Kyle had conducted a few interviews with people close to Betsy Donovan when her body was found at the local park. It was a place that she and her family frequented growing up.
Clyde, as mentioned, revealed exactly what the anonymous texter told Kyle. Honestly, if anything, this person seemed to know this situation better than Clyde did himself. The detail about the football thing wasn’t mentioned at all when he interviewed him, or at least he doesn’t remember anything like that. He might have to recheck the tapes later.
This information wasn’t released to the public at all for the sake of the family’s privacy. This fact, combined with the photos, likely meant one thing: he was actually talking to the culprit.
Who was this person exactly? Immediately his first thought is YN. I mean, he is pretty sure that it is her, and she did get his number earlier. Plus, he was just with her and this person just referenced knowing that he was out. Maybe she’s just messaging him through a burner phone. Knowing how much she gets from her borrowers, it doesn’t really seem like it would put a dent in her wallet to buy a few backup phones.
kyle why are you messaging me
??? i want to help you solve find out who i am
kyle aren’t you just endangering yourself then?
??? don’t you want some extra help on your case? i know how bad you wanna take me down
kyle yeah but not like this
??? that’s why i’ve devised a plan for you, detective you receive information from me about the murders and my identity if you follow my requests
kyle i’m not doing that
??? i’m not gonna have you rob a bank dude jeez i’m just gonna ask for small favors
kyle like what?
??? you’ll see do we have a deal though?
⋆。˚ ✧ ˚ ༘ ⋆。˚
The blinds were closed, and so your whole room was just barely lit up by your night light. Your body was drowning in the stiff cushions of your couch. Your senses were tingly, probably even hazy. You might’ve had an extra bottle of some cheap liquor to relax your senses.
You were tired, to say the least. Your body was absolutely drained, but your mind still ran endlessly—no matter how much you wanted it to stop. You just wanted to sleep, nothing more, nothing less. Dear, God.
You didn’t like your mind during hours like these. It’s when everything would hit you at once, the surge of emotions sending you to a wave of nothingness. You’d wish it’d be noisier sometimes, but you knew that you couldn’t handle loud things as well. Maybe the quiet is for you. It sounds funny, considering the type of life you find yourself living in, but it’s true.
Scratch that. You were lying to yourself. You’re pretty sure you had about two bottles and a shot in the thigh earlier.
Your mind drifted off to places you didn’t want to, namely in the house of sympathy. Now that you were thinking about it, you kind of felt bad for Brad. I mean, maybe this is his first serious case, and you might’ve completely traumatized him already. The only “serious” problems this town had were probably as easy to solve as it is making your bed or something.
Are you right for wanting to toy around with him? Definitely not. Is there anything good that is to be expected from you anyways? You’re not a good person at all. You’re the furthest thing from. You still can’t help but feel a little remorse after seeing the mortified look on his face earlier, though.
In retrospect, when you had to put him through the actual act of taunting the guy with a knife, you just felt awfully mean. You felt like those mean girls who force their “weirdo pet” friends to bully their friends just to see them suffer. How low of you.
What can you do now, though? The plan’s set in place, and whatever damage you have planned out has already been done. There’s no going back now.
You checked your phone idly, hoping to see something, anything to take your mind off of the barren hellscape that is your mind. A text from Bebe sent about two hours ago caught your eye.
April 1, 1:41 AM
bebe hey yn? i think we have the guy if anything i think we have heaps of information
You saw the message and smiled. It’s not that you’re going through this with this plan. It’s that you’re going through with this plan while enjoying it. You piece of shit.
bebe his name is kyle broflovski

Where you goin, Star?
Bucky Barnes x Reader
Summary: Reader meets Bucky when the truck hauling her show horses breaks down as she is trying to leave for an event and he works for the mechanic. Passionate, secret love affair ensues. After a confrontation with her father, Bucky decides she deserves better than a poor biker like him and leaves town with his friends Steve and Sam.
Three years later, reader is trapped in an abusive relationship and about to give up hope of things ever improving, when Bucky comes back.
Chapter 10
Warnings: swearing, angst
The next morning Star spent 2 hours with the physical therapist, who gave her stretches and exercises she could use to build her strength back up.
Then she spent an hour with a nutritionist to help learn how to gain the weight she had lost, healthily.
Then a psychiatrist who specialised in addiction and PTSD.
Each one left her with a stack of papers and scheduled appointments for the coming week.
By the end of the day she was released from the hospital and taken in Tony's car to Stark Tower. Pepper showed her to a beautiful suite with a small kitchenette, fully stocked with healthy snacks and treats.
"You can make your own meals but we have a chef who can whip something up any time you need." Pepper smiled at her.
Star teared up. It had been so long since anyone even tried to be nice to her that she felt overwhelmed. Everything felt like too much. "Thank you Pepper. I think right now I could use some sleep."
Pepper gave her a gentle hug "Of course. There's a Stark phone on the desk with instructions included. It has the numbers you will need here. Me and Tony, the chef, the detectives. That sort of thing."
She showed Star the dresser and closet, filled with clothes.
"I guessed on your sizes but these will get you started and we can go shopping when you're up to it. Try to get some sleep and I'll see you tomorrow" and left Star alone with him.
Bucky sat on the couch in the living area "Do you want me to leave too? I don't wanna-"
"No, please stay" she blurted out then covered her mouth. "I'm sorry, I just don't want to be alone."
Bucky shook his head "You don't have to apologize to me, I'll be here as much or as little as you need.
I know that we need to have a talk but no pressure. I'll be here when you're ready. Do you want me to put my number in your phone? In case you need me?" He looked at her hopefully.
She handed him her phone. "I think I'm going to take a bath, wash that hospital smell off." And grabbed some pajamas.
The bath was wonderful, deep tub with jets and never seemed to run out of hot water. When she left the bathroom she saw Bucky dozing on the sofa so she gently laid a blanket over him and went to bed.
Star crashed hard but woke up in a cold sweat and ached all over, her head pounding. She shook her head, which made it ache more, and reminded herself that this was just part of the withdrawals and they will pass with time.
When Star was up to it a few days later the detectives and a couple of attorneys that Tony recommended came in to discuss her accusations against John, a divorce, her inheritance from her grandmother and her fathers fortunes. Everything was all intertwined.
The divorce papers were drawn up quickly and were very simple. The majority of John's possessions were in fact hers and she was giving him nothing since she had evidence of infidelity and abuse. She braced herself for the drama because she knew John wouldn't just walk away. The last 3 years with her father's money and connections had emboldened him. She was honestly surprised that he hadn't shown up already.
Star wasn't doing well emotionally. Going over the horrible things that John and Brock did to her was difficult and reliving it all was giving her nightmares.
Bucky held her hand through all of it, she really didn't have anyone else but the more she remembered the more questions she had for him. She wasn't up to dealing with that yet. While she felt safe in Stark tower she worried about her horses so Tony sent a security detail to keep them safe.
On the third day, after lunch, she received a text from Tony's bodyguard, Happy Hogan. John was downstairs in reception demanding to see her and Happy was asking what she wanted him to do. She called her attorneys to see if they could come in and when they both confirmed, had Happy tell John to come back in 2 hours, so she had time to eat, shower and wait for them to show up.
After her shower, Star looked through the closet to find something comfortable but not too casual. She found a short sleeved green wrap style dress and sandals, impressed at how perfectly the dress fit. She made herself a mental note to thank Pepper and compliment her eye for size and style.
Bucky had told her he had business with Tony, Steve and Sam today so wouldn't be around until the evening. She had gotten used to having him around all the time so felt a little exposed seeing John for the first time but she knew that Happy and Rhodey would keep her safe. She did send Bucky a text to let him know John was coming over.
When Happy knocked on her door she had been sitting on the couch, daydreaming about getting back to her horses and the life she wanted. None of her dreams gave her any insight on how or where Bucky would fit in all of it.
The knocking startled her out of her thoughts so she stood up, smoothed her dress down and took his arm as he escorted her down to the conference room where she saw Rhodey waiting. He gave her a quick hug and whispered reassurances in her ear.
Star took a deep breath and entered the room to see John sitting and Clint standing behind him. She wondered briefly where Brock and Jack had gone but was relieved they weren't there and figured John had fired them for letting her survive and get away from them.
John stood and smiled at her "Sweetheart I've been so worried about you" he reached towards her which made her flinch and Rhodey stepped up between her and John.
That pissed him off "Whats this about? I cant even get near my wife? What the fuck is this game, Y/N?"
Happy looked at him coldly "I already advised you of the conditions for this meeting. If you try to touch Ms Pierce again, you'll be escorted out of the building."
John tried to look loving but didn't have it in him "Ms Pierce? I don't understand. My wife has been missing for days and I just want to take her home."
"Why? So you can finish the job?" She spat at him then Star sat, with Happy on one side, Rhodey standing behind her and her attorneys on her other side.
John forehead wrinkled "Finish what job? I'm just glad you are safe and-"
"No thanks to you. Don't play innocent John. We all know what you've done. I was willing to let you walk away with your secrets but you had to try to hurt me even more."
Her lawyer, Jeri Hogarth stood up "Alright folks, lets get started here.
Mr Walker, I'm Jeri Hogarth and this is my associate Desmond Tobey. We've been hired by Ms Pierce to handle your divorce and her inheritance.
Did you receive the divorce settlement that was sent to your office?"
John nodded but before he could speak she continued.
"Good. Have you retained someone to represent you in the divorce?"
John shook his head "No one will be getting divorced here. I'm taking my wife home with me."
Y/N shook her head and chuckled.
John smirked at her evilly. "Now sweetheart, you know what happens if you divorce me. You'll lose everything. So let's go home and work this out."
Star scoffed "Work this out? You tried to kill me you bastard, there's nothing to work out."
John chuckled condescendingly "Honey, you know I would never hurt you. Your drug habit has gotten out of control and now you've brought all these other people into our personal problems, your delusions. You know how I feel about that."
Jeri interrupted "Mr Walker, unless you intend to sign the divorce settlement as is then you should hire an attorney to represent you."
John shook his head "Don't need one."
Jeri sighed "Very well then the notes from this meeting will indicate that you have declined representation at this time." She looked at her associate "Desmond"
Desmond Tobey stood "My client has indicated that the settlement as written is the only offer that she will make. If it has to go before a judge she will produce evidence of Mr Walker's infidelity and physical abuse. Meaning the media will soon have access to said evidence which will affect his current job." He looked John in the eyes "Do you understand that, Mr Walker? She is willing to air out all of your dirty laundry for the world to see. Based on what I have seen so far it would be enough to destroy your political ambitions and make finding any employment difficult."
"But her father wanted-"
Desmond cut him off "Mr Pierce is deceased and the allegations would affect the stipulations of your inheritance."
John looked at Y/N "Are you sure you wanna do that honey? Tell the whole world you're a drug addict?"
Y/N glared at him "I wouldn't have even taken any pain pills if Brock hadn't beat me until I miscarried, while you watched. I wouldn't have kept taking them if you hadn't worked so hard to make my life miserable. I've been clean for almost a week and have no desire to take them again. I wouldn't have overdosed if you hadn't had Brock drug me."
John shook his head "No honey, that's not what happened. Brock caught you when you fainted after taking too many pills and drinking alcohol on your lunch with Pepper." He looked to her attorneys "The drugs made her confused but I'm so glad you're getting clean, baby."
Jeri sighed "We have a syringe with traces of morphine and two sets of fingerprints one belonging to Brock Rumlow and the other Jack Rollins. Ms Pierce was drugged"
"I told Brock to take her to the house and meet our doctor. Brock must have done something after her left with her. I had a meeting with an important donor that I couldnt miss." He made himself tear up "He worked for her father and was her bodyguard for years. I thought I could trust him." He looked at Y/N "Baby I'm so sorry that I-"
Jeri cut him off "The NYPD picked Rumlow and Rollins up at a motel near the airport this morning. They had tickets to Rio. No extradition treaty with Brazil." She looked through some paperwork "Rumlow isn't talking but Rollins on the other hand. We'll just call him the Canary because he won't stop singing."
John laughed nervously, his face visibly paling "He's just making shit up to save his own ass."
Jeri nodded "I can see how one might think that, he has admitted to some heinous crimes but he has all kinds of proof. Claims he knew Rumlow couldn't be trusted and he wanted to cover his ass. Pictures, paperwork, recordings, it's pretty extensive."
Desmond spoke up again "Are you still sure you don't want to sign the settlement?"
John gulped loudly "I'm sure. I think you're bluffing. If you really had all that evidence then you would just arrest me."
Y/N sighed "I just wanted this over. I don't want to spend months dealing with divorce court and a criminal trial but if that's what it takes to be rid of you and keep what is rightfully mine, I'm in." She looked at Jeri "I think that's enough for today. I need to rest."
John stood and hit the table angrily "Absolutely not! Y/N you are my wife and are coming home with me. Today. Right fucking now! I don't know who you people think you are but you have no right to keep me from my wife." He reached for her but was slammed against the table, hands held behind his back before he knew what hit him.
Happy had to hold back a laugh as John started squirming and yelling for Rhodey to let him go. Clint stood back with his hands up, giving Y/N an apologetic look before quickly leaving.
Jeri looked at him squawking like a chicken and shook her head "Looks like we're done for today. Mr Walker, there are two NYPD detectives waiting outside of this room who will be taking you in to be booked. I would recommend you find an attorney asap. Tomorrow I'll be speaking to a judge about returning the Pierce inheritance and properties to Ms Pierce so if you do make bail you'll need to find a place to live quickly. If you have any questions, feel free to call me. After you get out, of course, I don't take collect calls, unless it's a client."
Y/N stayed where she was while John was handcuffed and read his rights. Someone had called the press so John's perpwalk would make it to the evening news.
Happy looked to her once John was on the elevator "You ok ma'am?" She looked at him and nodded "Lets get you back home then." He helped her up and they took the elevator up to the top floor.
When they entered her suite, Bucky was waiting at the table with take out for dinner. He looked at Happy questioningly, Happy nodded that she was ok, just shaken up and left her with Bucky.
Bucky smiled gently at her "Hey Star. I heard you had some company."
She grimaced "I knew I would have to see him again eventually but it still caught me off guard." Bucky helped her sit on the couch and sat across from her waiting for her to continue.
"John refused to sign the papers, insisted he did nothing wrong. Even when they told him that Rumlow and Rollins were arrested and Rollins is singing. He still seems to think my father will somehow protect him."
She sniffed "something smells good. Did you make dinner" and smirked at him.
Bucky feigned shock "Now Star, you know damn well I can't boil water on my own."
She giggled "I thought you might have learned something in 3 years. Poor Peggy having to feed all of you all this time."
Bucky shook his head "I'm afraid the only thing I learned was that I can't live without you."
She rolled her eyes "Yes, I'm sure you were terribly lonely. Even Dot wasn't enough to assuage your loneliness."
Bucky looked confused "Dot? Why would she be with me?"
Star shrugged "Beats me, she was with you when you came to my father's wake. Brock said you took her with you when you left town"
Bucky shook his head "We know how trustworthy Brock is. We stopped at the clubhouse the morning of the funeral, she was there and claimed she wanted to pay her respects and be there for me. First time I saw her since we left. I barely even noticed she was there."
Star rolled her eyes "I'm sure. It wasn't Dot that kept you away so long? Your letter said a year at most but you were gone 3 years."
She looked at him with tears in her eyes "I kept thinking you would come back and tell me it was a mistake. That you would save me. I thought you'd stop the wedding but you never did and I gave up."
Bucky reached out to hold her hand and was encouraged when she didn't pull away.  Tears forming in his eyes as he answered. "I meant to come back sooner, I just I just. Everything got all fucked up." He looked at the floor.
Star sat quietly as he composed himself. He finally looked back up at her. "I planned to be back sooner. I figured I'd get the Harley mechanic certificate and then take some business classes here.
When Wanda told Peggy about your engagement it hit me hard. I was almost convinced that you were better off with John. He had your fathers support and was on his way up. Steve and Sam talked me down after a week long bender, reminded me that it was your father telling me I wasn't good enough. Told me Brock probably hadn't had the chance to give my letter to you. I threw myself back into the classes and was really doing well.
Then you got married and it was all over the news, up and coming candidate and heiress marry, wedding of the year, fairytale romance and all the other bullshit the media put out.
I saw your wedding picture on the front of one of the tabloids. You looked so beautiful but your eyes still looked so sad. I felt like a failure. I left you to your father's devices and it was my fault you weren't happy. I told myself you had the letter but still chose John."
He stood and started pacing, running hus hand through his hair.
"I thought you deserved better than a man who ran away like I did. I knew that I would never deserve you again, could never be good enough. I dove into a bottle of Jack Daniels and refused to leave. For months I barely left the house except to the liquor store. Finally one day I saw some tv interview with John and lost it. Tore the house up, put my boot through the tv.
Peggy came home that night and that was it, Steve tossed me into the shower until I sobered up and read me the riot act. Told me that a violent, drunken asshole definitely didn't deserve you and I better get it together or I would lose the few friends I had. So I cleaned up, joined AA and haven't had more than a couple of drinks since." He paused for a breath "Ok full disclosure, I got a little drunk after I tried to talk to you at your stable. I went to your parents house to confront you and Brock but John's car was there and Nick showed up to stop me. He bought me a couple of drinks after that."
"I'm so sorry, Star. I failed you so many times that I'll understand if you can't forgive me." He sat back down and took her hands "I didn't know what to do. When I met you I was sure I'd never be able to settle down. I figured any real relationships I tried were doomed to repeat my parents history. Dad in jail and mom forever alone because she couldn't bear another heartbreak.
You just blew me away with your free spirit and how you loved me so easily regardless of the fact that I was a dirt poor biker who couldn't afford his own apartment. The world felt brighter when I was with you. I thought we had a real chance.
Then we came home to your dad and I felt like he was reality showing me how impossible we were. I tried to stay hopeful that I could make myself good enough for you but obviously didn't do a great job.
I know now that I will never be good enough in some people's eyes including my own but I'm gonna try. I realized that the only opinion I care about is yours. If you think I'm good enough then I will keep trying to be. I don't want to live without you again, even if we're only friends. I haven't touched anyone else since you and I meant it when I said you're it for me. I love you, Star and I'll spend the rest of my life showing you how much. If you let me."
@pattiemac1
Before Star could respond they were startled by loud banging on the door.

What makes you so sad? I think you're the saddest girl I ever met || Akemi and Helen
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Surprise! There's a part 2 for Akemi and Helen @nutaella-kookie’s oc!! The quote I used as the title is from this scene. Also what is it with Helen meeting dangerous vampires in school bathrooms-?
I tried to put some song lyrics in my works because Akemi is part of the theatre club.… I hope it’s not too bad? It’s called “Noel’s Lament”
Fun fact: Fata Naiva means silly girl in Romanian. At least that’s what I searched and double checked.
Warnings: Helen’s canon ed, Akemi’s past that includes attempted r*pe, murder, and violence.
Helen knew what some people think of her. Her reputation was never known to be the best and it didn't help that her list of ex-boyfriends added more fuel to the already nasty rumors that spread across Ryoutei Academy.
Amongst the rumors about her, Helen would also hear about another girl, Akemi Sakamaki. They called her cold, unapproachable, a frigid bitch if they felt extra spiteful, it was never consistent. Shu said that she was one of his cousins when he came over last time. She still remembers that day well, the afternoon sun shone through the windows and the chill of winter seeped into her bones.
“I didn't even know that she existed.” Shu sighed as he continued to slide the razor against his cheek. “She just appeared by the doorstep of the manor and she never left ever since,” he added while rinsing off the shaving cream on the razor. Curious, Helen decided to probe the blonde vampire a bit more while combing her hair back, black curls falling off her shoulder. “How does she look like? Is she pretty?”
Water ran down the cold steel blade and Shu grabbed a random towel to wipe off the remaining cream on his blade. “She can carry a note, unlike you”
“Oh come on! Aren't your brothers more... bothersome? Surely your cousins are different in some way.” Helen continued to ask, a sigh leaves Shu’s lips, and the expression on his face remains indiscernible. “Go and see her for yourself. Or ask her classmates.”
Yet not once did Helen see Akemi closely, her face was almost always hidden or seen from afar. Her blonde hair was always indicating where she was but always disappearing somewhere else. Other than the horrid rumor of sleeping with numerous people, Helen has always heard about another title that Akemi has. “The Enigma of the Theatre Club” as people questioned why they never seemed to spot her on stage performing, even if her name is posted with the other cast on the bulletin board. Seemingly hiding in plain sight.
Students would say that when the theatre’s club room was empty… you would hear someone singing.
Oh, Claude, my pimp, knows never mess with me
Last prick did that faded quick to black
I have no idea where to find him, officers
But if you do, please mention that I'd
Like to have returned the pretty knife
That I stuck. Ten. Times. In. His. Back.
Sometimes, Helen would hear the singing as she passed through the theatre club, the club members’ voices were always loud and clear and could be heard through the stage, especially who Helen could assume to be Akemi’s, is it really? The soft and clear voice seems to ring in Helen’s ears.
He said, "I think I am in love with you"
I've heard that lie a million times before
Oh, tonight I give in to the fantasy
Take love when you can, when you're a whore
Tumblr media
It was an ugly process, eating so much food you feel sick and then erasing it with the pull of a toilet’s lever. Watching your weight rise in numbers force those same numbers to drop, and Helen would repeat the cycle all over again.
Coughing, Helen reached out for the lever to flush the evidence away, leaning her back against the bathroom stall as her throat burned. Tiredly, Helen forced herself to stand up and pull her hair tie off, fanning her black curls out but still not wanting others to look at her right now. Not when she feels like nothing.
The door to the girl’s restroom opened before Helen could even leave the bathroom stall. Groaning quietly, Helen sunk to her back against the toilet seat, trying to listen to the pair of girls chattering away to find a chance to get out without being noticed.
“Ugh, I didn’t get the part to play Christine for Phantom of the Opera. I wasn’t even listed for understudy, can you believe that?” A girl cried out, stomping on her school shoes. “Yuki, I heard Akemi-senpai got the role.” Another girl added bitterly.
“Right? Like, who does she think she is? She's not even that good, she’s always a side character and then the club president just decided to make her of all people the star?” Yuki snapped, the clinking of makeup products echoed with quick snaps, reflecting her frustration.
“She probably slept her way up, how else would she get the part?” The other girl accused haughtily. Helen felt a headache forming in her temple.
“Honestly… hey, did you know that Subaru chased Akemi-senpai down the library? Do you think there's something between them?” The girls giggled, feeling proud of themselves as if they’d unlocked a mystery.
“For real, they’ve always been so close to one another it’s insane. I bet those two-”
“I bet they what? Do you mind if I listen?”
A girl’s voice echoed in the bathroom door, Helen could herself jolting in shock as the girls immediately stopped talking and Helen could only hear the long strides the girl took toward them from the bathroom stall she was in. The girl’s voice was sweet and soft, it sounded comforting like it was made to rock you to sleep. Yet that voice still sent shivers down Helen’s spine.
“Come on, you're making me curious.” The girl giggled, Helen winched at the sugary tone, immediately hearing the malice creeping up from the girl’s tone. “So let's recap, shall we, girls? In the library... Subaru and I did what?”
The silence was all-consuming and you could hear a pin drop. Helen’s heart was racing in her chest as she awaited whatever answer the girls would make. They better not say anything stupid.
Stammering, one of the girls finally spoke up. “I’m… I’m sorry, we need to go.” Helen could hear the girls scramble for their bags only to listen to them yelp like injured dogs as they stumbled on their own feet. “Oh no no no, why won’t you tell me? You can say it when you think I’m not around but you won’t tell me upfront?” Akemi chided mockingly, and the venom in her voice slowly grew more apparent.
Whimpering, the girls immediately made a break for the exit. “Talking behind my back won't get you the part for our play, you know?” the girl called out as the pair ran out of the bathroom, their tails between their legs.
Letting out a sigh, Akemi continued to talk to the air, her voice dropping to an octave. “After all... You would be stuck with me for the rest of the semester.” Helen slowly opened the bathroom stall’s door to peek, only to find blonde hair swish by heading towards the exit. Silence filled the girl’s restroom. She could hear her heart beating out of her chest.
Helen held her breath as she carefully opened the bathroom stall, hoping to leave and praying that she was alone in the bathroom. She had already heard too much, she rather goes back to her classroom and continue studying for another English Literature exam instead of dealing with whatever drama is brewing in that theatre club.
No, no, absolutely no-
“I know you heard them, Fata naiva.” Helen almost choked back a scream when she looked up only to find Akemi Sakamaki, sitting down on the bathroom countertop, dangling her long stocking-clad legs back and forth, childlike and almost innocent looking. Helen would have believed that if it weren't for...
“Yeah... so you have to deal with that too?” Helen replied carefully, watching the vampire in front of her in case she ever got close to her.
Akemi quietly hopped off the countertop, still poised and graceful in her stance, not getting too close to Helen. “You mean being too pretty for my own good? Yes, unfortunately… Did it get any better for you? Your name tends to float around, Helen is it?” Helen only gave Akemi a shrug, acting nonchalant. “The reputation is hard to rub off.”
“I guess so? I remember that the president told me about a girl who played Giselle from Swan Lake. Wasn't that you?” Helen looked over at the memory, recalling how unmoved the audience was but still applauded nevertheless. I didn't even get to sing, which is good I guess. Akemi let out a small chuckle escape her lips, amused at Helen’s reaction.
Helen rolled her eyes, trying to brush it off, the tension in her slowly dwindling away. “ Yeah... Not a fond moment I like to dwell on... So you’re in the theatre club?”
Akemi gave a little twirl, holding poise in her movements as her feet glided against the tiled floor. “Only one of the best actors in the club. Pleased to meet you.”
“I saw some of the plays, well it was required, but I never really saw you?” Helen asked, her eyebrows quirked up in confusion.
Smiling, Akemi placed a finger to her lips. “It’s easier to stand out on stage, that’s true. However it’s more impressive to blend in, but that’s just my opinion.” Helen could only shrug, knowing she can never conjure intense emotions for any performance without feeling stupid.
“Oh, I probably need to go to my next class, see you, I guess?” Spinning on her heels, Helen made a break to the only exit.
“Wait... Take this.” Confused, Helen turned around to find the girl reaching out for her hand and placing a paper-wrapped pastry in her hand. Chocolatine? “Thank you... I'm full actually.” Helen lied, she could still feel the imaginary bile in her throat, its sour aftertaste lingers on her tongue.
Akemi cock her head to the side, and her eyes met Helen’s. “Aren't you a dancer as well? Ballet, correct? It's in your posture.” Helen’s looked over to find Akemi with a worried expression on her face. “It wouldn't exactly be pleasant if you collapsed during rehearsals. It happens too often while we rehearse for our plays,’ more specifically with the girls.” Akemi added, still holding on to the chocolatine.
Reluctantly, Helen took the pastry out of Akemi’s hands. “Is knowing when someone is hungry a power of yours?” Helen questioned, taken aback at the sudden warmth of the pastry, and started tossing it back and forth between her hands.
Akemi only scrunched up her nose, for a moment she looked cold and haughty, minus the malice that comes with it. “Honey, I know what puke smells like. You should be taking care of yourself, missy.”
Helen let out a laugh, surprised at the fact someone was calling her ‘missy’. It sounded silly, even if the girl before her is centuries older than her. Yet what sounded silly sounded… familiar, the chuckle slowly died in Helen’s throat as she finally took a good look at Akemi, her soft features, doe eyes, and rosy cheeks.
Yet her face was overlapping with another, that girl she met at the club, Aurelia...
It can't be... can it? Same smile, different hair... I didn't even see her eyes. Even after the many nights we drank together, she wouldn’t look me in the eye.
Before Helen could hold her tongue, she spoke out. “You look familiar.” Akemi’s eyes widened slightly, taken aback by the statement, yet there is no hostility like what Helen expected, but curiosity. Relief, even?
“What makes you say that?” Akemi asked, her eyes softened. She looked gentle and assuring.
Helen hesitated. Should I really ask her… she won’t react badly… would she? Not like him…
Mustering up the courage, Helen decided to force herself to talk.
“Is that you, Aure-“
Before Helen could finish, the bell rang. Students rushed to their classrooms and their chatter filled the hallways. Akemi took her phone out to look at the time.
“I guess we should go to class?” Akemi questioned. Thinking to herself, Helen decided to take it as a way to escape, an option to avoid further conflict and hurt.
“Yeah, I guess I’ll see you? Thanks for the pastry.” Akemi only smiled, waving Helen goodbye as she watched the human’s silhouette disappear down the stairs.
Alone in the girl’s restroom, Akemi leaned back against the sink and guilt started to clog her throat. Akemi can’t find the urge to look at herself in the mirror, for all she would have seen would be the many faces she imitated all her life.
Angry and tired, Akemi felt the sudden burst of intense heat from the flames that she ignited on one side of her face. She curses to herself as the blue hue shone and flickered. Akemi recalled how it never left a mark on her skin no matter how hard she tried, always unscathed while everything burns around her.
She remembers the screams, the smell of smoke, cheap perfume, and the burnt flesh of the prostitutes who took care of her, and the men who tried to devour her filled her nostrils. Akemi’s let out a stuttered gasp for air, reminiscing over the painful memories.
Memories kept hidden came rushing back like a flood.
‘Monster’ Irina cried out in grief, Akemi knew she can’t comfort her… how can she? She killed her fiancé in the fire… pretended to be him, and lied to her, the soot dripping down from her hair, blurring her vision to black.
Oh how Akemi wanted to shake Irina then and there, scream at her.
You’re precious fiancé and his father tried to touch me while you waited for him. What does that make him?! TELL ME
Looking back at the mirror, Akemi only let out a sigh. She felt the urge to break it. Rip everything in front of her, but the urge left quickly. Even as Akemi stepped out of the girl’s restroom, the turmoil still boiled within her.
Oh Aurelia Eros, such a beautiful and cruel monster you are. Whenever will you stop hiding?

Fic where Bernie is a famous cellist and Serena runs a cafe
The day had begun fairly ordinarily for Serena she went to work at her cafe as she normally did Jason helping her clear tables and make coffee. The day was building up to a crescendo a peak in the journey of her soul a moment when she knew music would reach in to her heart and lift her to her higher ground, as it always did, as it always would.
Tonight was going to be something special she could feel it... Elgars Cello Concerto was the moment she was waiting for there would be other musicians other pieces of work but that played by THE, THE Bernie Woolf, that would be magic.
They had met one day in university Serena had attended a concert Bernie played at, a student concert she knew then she was something of a talent. Every now and again their paths would cross at christmas markets, at concerts they would smile with regret and respect.Once in the cafe a few days earlier Bernie had dropped by it was a quick and fleeting meeting as Bernie had to run of to a rehearsal at the Albert Hall which was not far from Serenas cafe as it happened. When she had bought the cafe she had pondered wether she would bump into some familar faces for time to time namely the face she was going to see tonight.
Bernie was getting ready for the concert she was doing up her bow tie and was checking her hair over in the mirror ready to face the lights.
“Nervous” a familar voice in the wings asked, it was Dom ... “ no more than any other night” she said methodically in response “ ah he said but it’s not just another night is it? Not when you have someone special waiting to have their breath taken away” he teased.
“ I don’t know what your talking about Mr Compland. Everything in order ... “ he nodded and she walked onto the stage .
Serena, trembling, walked to her seat she had thought about asking Jason to cone with her as it happened he had decided to visit a friend out of character for him but it meant this nights burden was hers alone to bear. The tension the longing the never quite knowing and that this was probably going to the only time she would see her play again...
What with her being such a big star now and the money from the cafe not really streching to grand classical concerts.
When Bernie stepped onto the stage the air was taken from Serenas lungs.
Bernie began to speak unusual for a classical performance normally there was little introduction or even if there was it would be by the conductor evidently Bernie wished to speak. “Now i am no Jacqueline du Pre but i hope you enjoy tonight i know i have some very special guests here tonight to impress ... right ... “ akwardly she took to her seat red face Serena who had a clear view of the stage giggled audibly much to the amusement of the woman next to her who gave her an ice cold stare and a supressed half smile. The performance was so expressive in its emphasis on the feeling of isolation the facial expressions Bernie created showed how much she loved the music and the pain she felt. Serena could feel everything like a hot needle had been driven into her skin she wanted to hold her to tell her she safe and not adrift like this music suggested. What bothered her more is Bernie had picked this specifically she had read it on the program and it was Serenas favourite collection. Was she making up this tenious connection?
Bernie held the bow like it was the only tool she had to express her heart. It flowed like waves and every muscian in the orchestra were fish in that beautifully winding sea made of crotchets, quavers and pain. When the show went onto Vivaldi and Bernie had excited the stage to a huge round of applause Serenas heart sank like a stone why oh why hadn’t she asked for her number a few days before. It’s rediculous are they friends? They have known each other for so long it feels odd to realise they have never been more than aquaitances yet every time they see each other long enough to hold a conversation Bernies face lights up just like when she plays Allermande from Bach’ Cello suit No. 1. Bernies beaming face was not a common sight as she was generally quite reserved when in the company of almost strangers but Serena wasn’t a stranger in fact Bernie wished she was a friend...
So Serena thought that was it till they meet again on some crowded street in London for all of two minutes like a fan. Serena wished it wasn’t like this so did Bernie when she got of stage She asked Dom to do her a favour she had to be available to come back on stage at the end but asked him to make sure Serena didn’t leave with out saying goodbye.
She pointed her out very very carefully in the intermission while she got ready to watch the second act as it were.
Dom did the sound checks and sorted out Bernies Cello, he was her roddie he helped her with everything even leaving her husband as it happened. Now there was some drama let me tell you ... affair with the makeup artist on her tour well it was a lot less scandalous than that really nothing particularly happened between them a few kisses and a broken heart.
Took a lot to damage control with the press nevertheless, Dom became her body guard from the homophobes and i have to say he did it with style poise and grace.
When the curtains went down and the show was over Dom was already working his way over to Ms Campbell who had risen from her seat teary eyed after such a moving performance.
“ Ms Campbell He shouted A Ms Serena Campbell “
Serena wipped around to see who it was and made her way towards him “ yes” apprehensivly she responded “thats me have i done something wrong?”
“ other than that lepord print top i saw you wearing that other day with Bernie no, but she wants to see you ... look at you getting the star treatment”
“ and you are” she sarcastically responded
“Dom Dominic Copeland”
“ well nice to meet you um Dom, Domenic haha”
He led her back stage to see Berenie, Serena was tense and in shock that Bernie ever wanted to see her as she was practically a stranger.
“ Serena” Bernie beamed “ i am so glad you could make it” embrassing her for a warm hug “ we really need to swap numbers listen i have this”
After some fumbling in her dressing room she handed Serena a bottle of Shiraz
“ my favourite how did you know i mean i?”
“ you told me once i well i guess I remembered “
Serena smiled Bernies number was written on a post it note on the bottle she quickly typed it into her phone “ don’t want to loose that your a VIP it’s a privalage”
“ really Ms Campbell what gives you that impression”
“ maybe the fact i just sat at listen to you play better than bloody Benjamin Zander or any one really”
Bernie interupted “ minus Jacquline du Pre”
“Well i mean”
“ we will give her that one shall we” they agreed laughing
“ come on dinner at my hotel or a drink i think it’s time we finally get to know each other”

Blood Snippet - Vampire Adaine PoV
This was requested by @tangerineblasttheintern, who asked for an Adaine PoV from Blood while she was with the vampires who bought her off her parents before her rescue. Happy birthday!
Adaine woke up in an unfamiliar bedroom, completely lightless, a soreness over her neck and shoulders and really her entire body. She squinted around, able to dimly see despite the lack of light. After a couple of minutes, she slid off the bed she'd been on top of, the ice-cold silk sheets rubbing against her skin. She landed on her feet quietly, glancing around. Black curtains were nailed tightly over the windows, and a dresser sat near the door.
She couldn't remember how she got here. The last thing she remembered, she'd been in the drawing room at home and… There had been guests. Creepy ones.
It wasn't a good sign that she had no idea where she was, after that, she was pretty certain as she creeped as silently as she could towards the door. Wherever she was, it would be best to go to the police, or try to figure SOMETHING out. Not to stay here, certainly.
Given that it was the middle of the summer, this place was far too cold. Adaine rubbed her hands together as she reached the door, moving to slowly turn the knob. Which was locked, from the other side. Because of course it was. She sighed to herself, and then and only then did she notice that she hadn't yet taken a breath since she'd woken up, her eyes going wide and hands over her mouth. Now that she thought about it, she did breath in and out, but she'd been up for like five minutes without.
The door opened, the human man from earlier standing on the other side, candlelight filling the hallway behind him, his voice nearly as formal and stiff as Father's usually was. "Ah. You've risen at last, child."
"What the hell is going on? I'm going home, let me out of here." She demanded, clenching her fists. In spite of the time that seemed to have passed, it evidently hadn't been very restful - she could still feel the drain of the ray of sickness that he had shrugged off earlier. She could manage maybe one more, if she saw an opportunity to run.
"You are home, child. And to leave now would be folly; dawn approaches. Perhaps I should explain? My companions and I have recently lost some… dear and powerful friends. Alas, they will not be returning, and so we sought to start the process of replacing them. Beginning with you, though I'm starting to think perhaps we should have held out for your sister after all." He frowned down at her.
Probably because at the mention of that she had flung the second ray of sickness; it had been equally as effective as the first.
Trying to pretend that hadn't just happened, she ducked past him, heading out and down some stairs, looking for the front door.
"Where are you going, child? Are you not listening to me? Have you not been raised to respect and obey your elders? We chose a high elf child for our new wizard because they are frequently already tought these lessons, but we can teach it again if you force us."
"Oh, fuck off!" She said, turning around and extending two middle fingers out.
"No. A demonstration, then. Sit down at the kitchen table and make no further noise until sunset." He said, gazing upon her.
And, no matter how she tried to direct her body or fight it off, she stepped through hallways she did not know, finding her way flawlessly into a kitchen with no appliances but with a number of cages with animals inside, all of them cringing to the back of their cages as she passed. She tugged a chair out, sat, and tried to make herself do anything else other than wait.
The other three in the house went in and out of the room through the day, one of them seeming to check on her and tugging at her eyelids, and yet still she could do nothing, could not move, could not resist in the slightest.
Finally, at what she could somehow tell was sunset even though she could not see any sunlight at any point, she felt her body relax and was at last able to tap her feet onto the ground, even as the three entered the kitchen, the man at the lead. He started opening one of the cages, rattling it and then coming out with what looked like a stray cat, half-mad with starvation.
"…I trust that you will behave, now. Let us show you how to feed."
The stay did not improve from there.

Chapter 2:
Death Send Us A Gentleman
Two weeks had passed, since Chara woke up in the hospital. Sweet, sweet death nearly kissed her goodbye. But somehow she survived.
Or through someone.
Because some stranger came by and left the doctors a package. They first thought it was a bomb, but when they actually opened it, there was a letter and a siringe.
"To our dear princess," it said. "It's time for her to open those red ruby eyes again."
It was a cure against the poison.
A miracle, they called it. But Chara called it a nightmare.
She didn't want to continue this life. This horrible life that felt like a bad black and white movie. With people that only looked at numbers and expensive clothing, but never her face. Those empty eyes and a broken smile.
Besides, the man that nearly killed her did look like death itself. Cold bones and a bloody red hood hugged her tight to him. To her savior. The one that was brave enough to actually kill her pretty face.
Papyrus, he called himself. It sounded elegant yet dangerous. Quite fitting for a killer like him.
And she wondered if she would ever see him again. So she started to search.
Alphys, her dearest friend, helped her with this. Although she was deeply concerned for Chara. She knew that this girl was reckless and didn't care about her health at all. But falling for the person that almost stole her last breath? Now that was something to worry about.
Aside from that, this man was really concerning. Because after some research, Al found out that this Papyrus guy wasn't searched anywhere! The police didn't even know about him.
There were people constantly dying in this city. Some said that the mafia was behind this. But was this man even a part of that? She couldn't say for sure.
But there had to be evidence somewhere. Pictures, videos, or anything! But no. This killer was a walking shadow.
How was this possible? He was a skeleton after all. He didn't have hair to dye, skin to paint, or real eye colors to change. Was this magic? Some evil cast? She truly didn't understand.
Or was the whole town part of his evil scheme? No, that couldn't be, could it?
She hoped not.
Loud coughing echoed from the gray, dirty walls.
In the middle of an empty room, there was a man tied to a chair. It seemed like he got stabbed in all the parts of his body. The knife was still stuck in his left arm.
His eyes were full of tears and his own blood dripped from his mouth. He wanted nothing more than to escape from this awful place. From this horrible man!
And yet he didn't talk like he should have.
The tall skeleton stood in front of him. Something maniac wandered over his expression, but calmed down quickly.
"What a shame, my dear friend," he said with a wide grin. "I was about to let you leave, once you told me where he is. But it seems like you no longer want to stay here with me and chat. How rude. But I will consider it."
The man looked up, hopeful but was met with hysterical laughter.
"Oh, no, no, no, no! You're giving me that look again! Those goofy eyes of yours, still looking for a way to escape from me. Still so full of life and hope. Do you really think you could mess with us and get away with it so easily?"
A dangerous tone entered his voice. He stepped closer to his face.
"I will ask you one last time." His mouth wandered to his ears and little, sweet whispers escaped it. "Where. Is. He. Just answer me this simple, tiny question and I won't tell a fly about you escaping."
The man winced. His eyes wouldn't meet his. And his mouth didn't open once.
A frown washed over Papyrus' expression.
"So be it then. You want to leave so badly?"
He stepped away and pulled out his gun. His eyes went cold and his finger hit the trigger.
"Then I shall give you your freedom."
With a bang a bullet shot through the mens chest. And then another. And another. And so on, until the floor was stained red.
His smile returned. The man screamed in horror.
"Did you really think I would make it that easy for you? Oh no, dear friend. This is the path you chose. Now you have to walk it alone. I only helped you with the first steps of the road."
So yes, his mission was actually to gather information. But this stubborn man just wouldn't talk. There was no other way out of this, right? He'd just tell the police who wanted his boss dead, once he opened his mouth. That's really all it was good for anyway.
There was really nothing else to do now, than to watch this man bleed out with a certain side of satisfaction. And what a concert his screams were to Papyrus. He wasn't worried at all about this man dying. He could still find another mouth that would talk to him, after all.
"So it is you," a very familiar voice called out from behind.
He froze in his place. There was no way...
"Princess?"
He turned around. But there wasn't his princess anymore. There was now a queen standing in front of him. And she was ready to fight.
The Rose, they called her. A human being with magic, playing the superhero at night. He always thought it was silly, but now that he knew who this was, he tensed up.
She was here for him, wasn't she?
People said some things about her. For some, she was a hero. For others, she was a reaper.
They said this woman got rid of criminals no matter what. She would kill every man standing in her way for it. Not very heroic in his eyes, but the people loved her.
"Why are you here? Didn't you have enough of me already, as we danced?" He pointed his gun towards her.
"I'm here, because you were too stupid to turn off the lights," she said with a grin. "People do notice, when an abandoned building is suddenly used again. Besides, I got my ways of finding people like you."
"Not talking so elegantly anymore, hm? What a shame. And here I thought you were a little better than the rest of this god forsaken city."
Not that he was any better than the people in this city. But she could at least try to change that, as much as he did.
He actually wanted to give her a little speech. It would have fit the situation perfectly, really. The villain against the hero! But that thought died, as the man behind him started coughing harder again. His breaths were hollow and the life slowly left his eyes.
God. Why had this guy to be this loud now?
Annoyed, he turned around again and raised his hands up.
"God damn it!" he shouted. "You've been silent for hours and now's the time you let me hear your voice? You annoying bastard! You know what? I have changed my mind! Let me actually help you with that."
He shot the man without hesitation into his right eye. Finally, silence overcame the room. He left out a frustrated sigh and turned around again.
Shocked, Chara stared at him.
"What?!" he asked her, feeling misunderstood. "He was getting on my nerves! Do you know how long I've been trying to get this guy to talk? Three hours! Three! And not a single word slipped from his lips!"
Frustrated, he let his hand wander over his face.
"And now you're here! Who in the world is actually crazy enough to follow his killer? Seriously. Don't you have anything better to do? I mean you're the daughter of the famous Asgore! A man who has power over half the city. Why waste your time hunting us guys down?"
"Honestly? I wish I knew. I guess I just like the rush," she answered him drily.
"That's all?... Really?" he asked, confused. "And here I thought you had a good reason."
"Well," she smiled, "I guess I also kind of missed you."
Miss him? Something was seriously wrong with this girl, if she searched for him. But also charming.
The corners of his mouth formed into a smile.
"No. There's no way." A laugh escaped him. "The hero has fallen for the big, bad guy, hasn't she? How absurd. Next time you're telling me that you killed my biggest enemy, just to be with me. Look at the painful truth here, my dear hero. Our worlds don't match. We don't match."
He stepped closer to her. She didn't move away.
"Aren't you scared? I could kill you again, you know."
His fingers brushed through her soft hair. His eyes searched her expression for fear. But she just smiled back.
"You wouldn't. After all." She pulled out the letter that came with the box. "Only you would call me your princess. Pretty dramatic for somebody, who doesn't feel a thing for me, isn't it?"
His movement stopped.
"I could stay your princess. But only, if you let me."
Now this was new.
"Did you not listen? We live in different worlds!"
"No, we don't. We're both just murderers here. Killers with a slightly different perspective. But in the end, we both end up killing a man." Now she was the one stepping closer. "But let me tell you a secret… I want this world to burn. So help me make it, Papyrus. Let me make our worlds match."
A shiver went down his spine, as she touched his face with both her hands. She was crazy. Even more than him. And here he thought his princess was an innocent pretty girl. Oh had he thought wrong.
The police sirens were his cue to leave though.
"Pardon me, will you? I don't want them to find me yet."
"Alright," she said, "But promise me, we will see each other again."
"Very well then. But be careful, little lady. I do bite back."
"Just what I was hoping for."
And with that, she let go and let him leave.
As the police finally arrived in the room, Papyrus was long gone. He had actually jumped from the building. It sounded crazy, but he was still a monster. And so he had his own ways of escaping.
Smiling to herself, Chara went back with the police.
She couldn't wait to see him again.
Her deadly gentlemen.

Seems like Chara is hunting our dear villain down. I wonder where this will lead her...
But I guess for that you'll have to wait for tomorrow!
Todays motto I used was: scars and wounds!
By the way:
My ask-box is always open if you have questions for me or my characters.
I'd answer all questions regarding papara week on the 18th of july. Why? Because you should read the story first! A lot of things will be explained there over time. :D

Stifling Evenings
Part three of the Turkish Holiday - set in 1989 on the painting holiday they went on together - with friends.
He’d watched her as they were escorted on a walk all morning. Separated himself from her for the afternoon’s activity of the trek up the mountains. Took himself off for dinner with a small group, not including her. So when he did see her in the evening, wearing a floating white summer dress, her eyes watching him, he gulped. It was impossible having her so close he could almost breathe her in, yet not touch her. He pulled her to dance with him without thinking about anything other than being close to her. He heard her gasp when his hand slipped around her waist. “What are you doing?” “Holding you.” He was short on breath from the feel of her under his fingers. From that one hand against his chest. They barely moved from side to side, their eyes locked and his hand encasing hers. “May I steal Camilla for the next dance?” “No.” His hand gripped onto her waist tighter and he couldn’t lose her gaze for a second. “Let me have a turn with Camilla.” “No.” By this point, they were so close, their noses were touching as he bent his head down towards hers. He could feel her breath against his lips. He was desperate to kiss her. He fended away several more of their friends with a sharp, “no,” until eventually Andrew took her off him and he couldn’t say no. But he couldn’t watch that and left to go to his room.
She danced with her husband, swallowing back emotion, refusing to allow tears to form. He was angry with her but they danced for a long time and he kissed her every so often. Then, without warning, he pulled away from her and took up a waltz with one of their Turkish hosts. It seemed as good a time as any to retire to her room and she changed to her nightdress before sitting out on the balcony, smoking to keep away the mosquitoes. She heard Andrew as the door slammed. “Darling?” “Out here.” “You’ve got a choice to make, Darling.” “About what?” “Well there’s three options and I’m happy with all three, so do what you want not what you think I want.” “Sounds ominous.” He joined her on the balcony and kissed her cheek. “I’ve got Margaret outside.” “Great.” “So, I could send her away and I’ll enjoy you instead? Or she can come in and we can both have some fun? How about it?” “What about Rose?” “Darling, I’m married to you. I’m not obliged to Rose.” “Those are two options…” “Well tell me your thought about the first two first.” “Number two was never an option.” “It would make a great option. You used to be so open minded.” “I’ve never been that open minded.” “More’s the pity.” He reached over and she felt him cup her breasts. “What’s option three?” He scowled at her. “You leave me here with Margaret and go and sleep where you’d evidently rather be sleeping.” “Am I really just either or with a women who’s almost a stranger?” He shrugged. “A hole is a hole.” She flicked her cigarette off the balcony. “That was exceptionally cold, even for you.” She didn’t feel as calm as her words and she cursed her eyes for leaking and betraying her. “Ah. You do still love me. I did wonder. I think you need to remember sometimes which person you chose to marry. What do you expect from him? What do you honestly think he’s going to give you?” “Nothing. He’s going to give me nothing.” “Well remember that the next time you humiliate me.” “I didn’t mean to humiliate you.” “Yet you managed.” “I’m sorry.” She reached to kiss him but he pulled away. “No. I don’t want you. Not tonight. Not after that. Just go. But come back before anyone else wakes up.”
He heard the knock on the door with surprise but pulled her inside as soon as he saw her. “Darling, why are you crying?” “I’m not.” She reached up to kiss him and he pushed against her lips, savouring the sensation before pulling away. “You very much are crying.” He kissed down her cheeks, following the pathway of her tears, making her smile weakly. “I just want you to love me.” “And my first act of love is to…” He kissed her squarely on the lips. “Jump up…” He caught her and held onto her as she wrapped her legs around him, her arms clinging around his neck. “Find out what made you so upset.” He walked through the room, pretending to drop her but when she didn’t squeal, he stopped fooling about and sat down on the bed, feeling her clinging to him like a limpet. He sighed. “What did Andrew do this time?” “Tried to persuade me to have a threesome.” “Well that was not what I thought you were going to say. With me?” “No. Margaret.” “Did he send you out so he could sleep with her?” “Yes.” “Seriously? Is he insane?” “Because I turned him down.” “Ah. That makes more sense. He was getting back at you for me.” “I know.” “But it still hurt?” “Yes.” “I’m sorry.” He held onto her tightly, his hands stroking her back, his nose firmly planted in her neck. He felt her hand reaching up into his hair. “I love you.” She whispered it over and again into his ear, kissing his neck, his ear, every part she could reach. “I love you. My second act of love is to tell you that I’ve been going crazy without you. I need you. I need you more than ever.” “Is that really an act of love?” “Perhaps more a selfish longing?” She chuckled slightly. “But the act of love is to say that despite the fact that I need you quite desperately, I will forgo that desire if you need me to.” “I need you to make love to me. I’ve needed you since this morning so badly every part of me is shaky.” “I might possibly be able to manage that.” “If it’s not too much trouble?” That made him giggle slightly. “No trouble at all. My pleasure.” “It best be my pleasure too.” “Darling, it most certainly will be your pleasure too.” He felt her hands around his neck and then the thrill of her kiss struck through his body to the very tips of his fingertips and down.
She couldn’t let him go in the morning. They both woke early from habit and they reached for each other now for the pleasure of feeling the other. The quiet blue of the morning intensifying every touch, every kiss, every slow movement. She didn’t want to let go of him, afterwards, one hand clasping tightly onto his back, the other firmly on his bum, holding him against her. When the alarm went off, she lay on her back, watching him get dressed. He came back to lie beside her, his hand trailing over her body. “Where are your clothes?” “Not here.” That made him moan, and he placed soft kisses over her body, his hand reaching to make her react to him. “You must have come wearing something?” “A night dress.” “Yes. I remember taking it off you.” “In a hurry.” “Of course. I’ll find it.” He placed it next to her, neatly folded, but stopped her when she reached for it. “Wait until I’ve left. I want to look at you.” “How long before you go down?” “Five minutes.” “Come here then. Observe me from close range.”
She waited until she was sure everyone must be at breakfast before she slipped back to her room, finding Andrew still there with surprise. Even more surprising, he’d picked out a shirt and shorts for her to wear and helped her into them as she brushed out her hair. “Just be discrete. That’s all I ask.” “I’m sorry.” “I’m sorry for making you cry.” She shrugged and he kissed her cheek, his eyes repentant. “We can make this work.” She nodded at him in the mirror.
