not sure if i have talked about this before but i also really hate how gorons are treated in totk

they are one of my fav and i know they are unpopular and were always kinda slot into the "big fat stupid rock people" role, but i do think totk is one of or the worst case yet; all regions get some life threatening event (ignoring how stupid it is to put the issues you need to solve in the exact same spots as in botw with most changes being also reversible so the actual changes to the environment of the map are largely some small rocks sprinkled about) and they get .. drugs (haha)

like i dont wanna downplay anything but their problem being that they are obsessed with eating (>_>) some drugged rock that makes them mean and lazy (even if the reason is fine ... if i remember right and didnt make up that they had to dig elsewhere for food bc of death mountain losing its lava flow, the execution is my problem -like the vast majority of this game is a ok to great idea with passable to horrible execution of it) and arent even a danger to you (which i thought at first when you approach goronia the normal path and two gorons start to walk towards you if you come near saying creepy shit- i thought they are gonna attack me or lure me into a trap but again .. only to find them wanting me to pay to be let through (i think??) and all other drugged ones are largely just ... eating or lying around ........

like it would have been cool if that drugged rock stuff made them actually agressive, like the friendly easy going rock people being turned into something akin to a starved animal after eating poison bc they were at risk of starving sounds alot more .. impactful and scary (even if it would still be about food, which idk about you but the only kind of fatter npcs, even if non human, being made all about food is .. hm, aside from other possibly bad implications from this, but im trying to roll with the idea of it)

and then poor yuno being put in a stupid (stereotypical?) wrestler outfit and hes LITERALLY being mindcontrolled is so ...... ugh (again, idea is ok but- you get it) and then him being told by two CHILDREN that that obviously not zelda might not be zelda and it not only being the only time that idea is openly said until its "revealed" that hhhwhat?? it was a fake one?? in the mid battle of the "story" and he doesnt even believe it (both bc haha hes stupid and cant understand such a thing and also link not being able to tell anyone ... even his friends ....... ) is just so disrespectful, its ok not to be the smartest guy in the room (tho in totk pretty much anyone is made so much dumber for no reason...) but it being so clearly the gorons that get treated like this just annoys me so much, you know no one of the other races would be treated like that

(not to reach a little but it also plays into how koga is portrayed, like i love him to death and there are things that largely the gameplay only implies of him not being that incompetent, but hes clearly meant to be laughing material, the boss of the band of 'evil' assassins being lazy, incompetent and 'childish' is funny right?? and although i hc that the either super thin or super beefed up appearance of yiga members are just an appearance like their disguises of normal people to seem more unified and less indentifyable- that is still only a hc and then koga being the only character that is visibly fatter (aside from ... the gorons and .. king dorephan??) it puts a pebble more onto the pile of pebbles of little annoyances)

also yuno saying, post mid "story" battle, that no one actually knows anything about ganondorf aside from him being evil and it going complete ingored and never mentioned again feels like the type of thing a games does when they are critized for soemthing and instead of changing it they put a line in the game essentially saying "yeah we know but we are not gonna do aynthing about it lol" (like thinking of the line ashe from league of legends, whos design has been critized alot bc shes running around in a stupid tiny dress in the snow lands of their world, got when her dialog was updated that made her say sth like "yes im wearing a little dress in the forever winter land, deal with it lol" which perhaps was supposed to be a joke but it just feels like a "lol we know, fuck you")

How are the narrative and part of the fandom able to find excuses for Rhysand's fucked up behaviour over and over and paint him the misunderstood hero, but Eris is evil incarnate because he did what again? Left Morrigan at the border, most likely knowing she would be found and taken care of (at the ripe age of...very much younger than her, too, mathematics say) and called Cassian a brute.

I'm not trying to make excuses for Eris here. He's an asshole, I'm aware of it, and the absolute majority of his stans are aware of it. But that's about it. So if you make some post about "abusive men", and include Tamlin and Eris, then reflect on what fucked up shit your favs did. On the other hand, I'd like to say something about Neris shippers being racist, because I don't see how? I could honestly care less for how Cassian looks or his ethnicity, this is about him having literally no backbone and treating Nesta like shit throughout acosf when she was clearly not in a good place, mentally. If y'all wanna be degraded for having ugly trauma I can't help you. I liked Nessian in acowar, they had potential. But acosf? Nah.

I feel like regression content is always treated so poorly. Especially when it comes to traumatized characters in a popular fandom. I'm really happy you make what you like and don't let anyone knock you down.

I deal with a lot of bs, and so I find a lot of comfort in drawing children. Both just for the simple joys felt in youth as well as a case study of the "what went wrong".

Your content is very wholesome and definitely falls into the first category for me. And honestly, I too, get really bad baby fever 😭 So I sometimes just like seeing my favs as kids or just drawing kids. They're so damn cute and I want them to be happy.

i wasn't always able to make the content i like; in fact, when i first began drawing de-aged/regression content, i used an alt to hide my identity because i was so scared of how people would respond to it-- since, to ur point, regression content is always treated horribly and there's a stigma around it (like how ppl looooove to sexualize agere stuff. exploding them with my mind). but i think its really endearing and healing! even now posting is really scary sometimes... it took me about a week to gain the confidence to post the tiny 21 trio art x-x so im really glad the feedback thus far has been positive!!!

i love drawing characters, particularly the ones with more trauma, as little kids-- they get a second chance at childhood and get to cope with the horrors^tm, and it's always a lot of fun to think about how their close ones would react and how they would take care of them and stuff... I've worked with children in the past, and im hoping to be an educator in the future, and it just makes me really happy when //they're// happy.

Hello!! I’ve read your cruel bloodline darling and I gotta say it’s my fav thing so far! The idea of the Y/N’s only acting cruel and mean when it comes to the Joestars really interested me.

But, what if there’s a reason why they’re like that? What if there’s a curse that’s keeping them from loving them. This curse was there ever since the first Y/N, and none of the members of the family are safe from it.

If a Joestar falls in love with them, their time becomes limited. They’ll slowly start to rot until they’re no longer a person, just an empty shell. So, in order to ‘protect’ the Joestars, the Y/Ns treated them horribly so they don’t experience the pain of losing them.

As of your concept, I find it quite interesting how you put more depth to darling's personality as they are more than just a harsh face and mean actions (while I myself didn't think more of their character when I worked on that piece). the worst about darling's 'love life' that they have to abuse the jojos to no end, swallowing their remorse and tears grudgingly so as the jojos stay alive.

Darling really doesn't know how to break the curse or show love without clawing at their beloved's. the lack of solutions forces them to choose the least terrible method : abuse, emotional or physical, but mostly emotional.

TW for physical/verbal abuse, generational trauma.

Darlings were in a peaceful world, thinking that they finally got together with their Sweethearts the joestars, but a while after a deep loving relationship, they noticed how the joestars grew numb and silent, something like they weren't at all. just as darling was trying to figure things out, a heavy anvil of a shocking revelation falls on them as their parent informs them about the curse.

Darling is in terror: 'can't I just try to love?' and they just receive a dull answer of 'if you truly love them, make sure they stay alive, just like your grandparent did'. and so, everything started.

Slowly, darling changes their treatment: kisses with wounds, love confessions with degrading and support with control. at least they were lively again- you would say, but wanting to kiss and embrace them is impossible; you're stripped of the simplest right to love.

Darling wants to say 'you're my everything' when they say 'you mean nothing to me' to Jonathan. They want to say 'please don't go' when they say 'I'm done with you' to Joseph. They want to say 'I need you' when they utter 'I don't love you' to Jotaro. They want to say 'you're the most beautiful person I've ever seen' when they say 'you're ugly' to Josuke. They want to say 'Your love saved me' when they want to say 'you're a monster' to Giorno. They want to say 'be always with me, now and forever' when they say 'you're annoying' to Jolyne'. it's an endless cycle of pain for both parts who know they can't live without the other if they left.

it never ceases to amaze me just how cruel people in fandoms can be. cruel, mean, hyprocritical, straight up dumb.

dont get me wrong, these people are a minority. i have found myself amongst the best sort of people in fandoms i am a part of and couldnt be happier for the friendships i have made from them.

but this incredibly loud minority piss me off to no end. i stay away from any sort of discourse, silently watching from the background and watch thing blow up over trivial matters, and then learn who to avoid in those circles and move on with my life

but when i see, what i consider to be blatant bullying, to someone i hold dear, i dont want to be quiet anymore. im not a loud figure, im a tiny blog that loves to simp over 2d characters, a tiny stream channel that i interact with like minded people. and i mean i am TINY, im barely a blip on this wide web. so anything i say, it doesnt go anywhere, so still, i stay silent until i cant anymore.

so lets get to the crux of the matter.

if you dont like a character, you dont get to make others feel bad about liking them. i dont care if you think they are problematic, if you dont like their story, their look, or simply the fact that they exist

you dont get to make someone feel bad for finding a connection with them and loving them

you dont get to attack them about liking the character, passively or aggressively, you dont get to make fun of them and any of the work they do around them. you have no right to take it upon yourself and make someone feel like they dont belong just because they like a character that you dont

if you dont like the character, dont fucking interact, its that bloody simple. scroll away. mute the tag, mute the channel, whatever. just walk away

interacting with someones content for the pure purpose to make fun of it is cruel. you are making it public that you want to demean the person for what they enjoy. and the worst thing is, if you catch the attention of the younger audience, they learn that they get to act that way, and this kind of online activity only gets worse

it already has gotten worse. man, im a millenial and i thought keyboard warriors when i was in highschool and older where bad. these days the younger generation feel justified to think that they can say whatever they want and suffer no consequences of those actions. i see it in so many fandom discourses. its horrible

First, I should just say I love snape he’s probably my second fav character, and I think he’s very interesting. HOWEVER. No matter what he’s been through, you can’t deny he is not rly a good person. In his entire adult life he’s, yes, miserable, but also just..not great. But this isn’t a post debating on his morals or whatever. My main point is that he didn’t deserve it, at least in the beginning. I’m not anti maruaders, but how they treated him was awful. And what did they have on him? What had he done wrong? He was poor and unnattractive. And that just because they can. That’s basically it in the beginning. He didn’t deserve that at all. The whole jinx incident was literally assault and a total violation. And no matter how much Severus had been being nosy, sending him to get killed by a werewolf is completely inexcusable. Idk, maybe as he starts to get more into the dark arts and bigotry he does. But for the first few years of Hogwarts, saying he deserved it, even if you don’t like him, is just stupid 🤷‍♀️

AND another thing I just realized. Correct me if I’m wrong I’m not British, but don’t “pants” in the UK mean underwear? So when James said “who wants to see me take off Snivelly’s pants?” He means “who wants to see me take off Snivelly’s underwear?” The memory cuts off after james puts the dangling curse back on snape and says that. So it’s very likely, not canon, by very likely that Severus was stripped further than his pants (or, well, trousers to be more specific in this case) Just like..

Well,,,,,,,,, kind of? I had fun, but also went in knowing they won't pay attention to what I loved about the book so my expectations were properly low. TBOSAS is my fav THG book so a different adaptation exists in my head

Non-spoilery: The movie is divided in parts like the book, but there is no rhyme or reason why, no dramatic breaks or changes like in the books. The Reaping isn't on July 4th because of course. Tom Blyth as Coriolanus was a surprise because I expected nothing from him other than looking sort of like old Snow. The movie naturally removed any and all nuance from his character and kept spelling out everything, but there were a few scenes where they let him yknow, act out how his character is supposed to feel, and it was really good! Rachel Zegler as Lucy Gray was more of a mixed bag - sometimes she was fantastic in selling the over-the-top dramatic flare, but other times (especially towards the beginning) it was just weird. I firmly believe this is because the movie didn't fully commit to Lucy Gray as a charming crowd director who keeps her heart hidden and instead made her a more honestly vulnerable girl. She dazzled in musical numbers, though, that girl is a performer through and through! Viola Davis was bad I am so sorry but I felt like I was watching a Disney Channel performance and it's entirely the movie's fault and not hers. Peter Dinklage was super good as Dean Highbottom, he makes him all sad and lost without being over-the-top. The rest of the cast was also good. I loved the sets and the costumes, very in-line with what I'd imagined. The night/dark scenes were so dark that subtitles felt like they were burning into my eyes, it was the absolute worst quality dark scenes I've ever seen in a big movie.

Spoilery:

They removed Coriolanus' obsessive love for Lucy Gray and turned it sooo muted :(((( He didn't even want to kiss her before the Games! He didn't try to control her or feel jealousy or ANYTHING that could imply he might turn on her one day!! His emotional changes and impatience and politeness and selfish kindness are also all gone now. Sejanus and he aren't nearly as close as in the book, but there was this funny moment where the two of them had a more intense forehead touch moment than any Coriolanus shared with Lucy Gray and it made me chuckle. Tigris and Coriolanus were very very well done, I loved how she was always his first bestie!!! But I am sort of annoyed they turned it from "Tigris puts Coriolanus down for the way he treats others" to "Tigris is scared Coriolanus will become his dad". Lucy Gray's Reaping was absolutely horrible, she threw a singing fit instead of being a confident performer, so it makes no sense that she just flips a switch into untouchable after. Loved the snake charmer climax where everyone stands up for Lucy Gray and proves that Capitol needs a victor! It worked better for the movie than the book version, and the way the music exists as a meta instrumental scene where the score eventually catches up to her singing - THAT is how ALL her songs should have been treated!!! The way music worked was one of my biggest issues, sometimes they were totally off tonally from what their role was in the books (The Ballad of Lucy Gray Baird this is about YOU Maiah Wynne's version makes me sob to this day while the movie version is only saved by Rachel's passion) and only the snake song was properly utilized as a plot point. They were such good opportunities for exposition that is more subtle than just putting whatever is Coriolanus feeling in clunky dialogue. And the clunky dialogue WAS constantly used to make up for the amount of internal monologues, even if it made zero sense -at the end they literally had Lucy Gray say "Haha if you destroyed the guns and killed me you could go to District 2 no sweat hahahaha anyway I'll go get some potatoes bye" like what. In what world would she literally tell him that. She is supposed to be a smart survivor. They also put "it's things we love most" quote as the final line in the movie, and I can't describe what a stupid choice that was, because if it wasn't there the movie would go "Highbottom tells Coriolanus he won't be able to forget Lucy Gray-> Coriolanus' proud exit where he believes to be the victor as snow falls down -> Can't Catch Me Now end credits including the snow motif", which would have been SO much stronger since that song delivers the "Lucy Gray eventually caught up to Coriolanus" message and we don't get it spelled out like we're 5 years old. It's not the only part of the movie where references to the OG stick out like a sore thumb, and I am once again asking Why. Why don't you think your audience is smart enough to understand.

...man I think I might need to Not think about Kotoko, which would suck since I like to think about Kotoko so very much. Deep Cover has made her even More of a fav. But I really am just not liking the environment that's being formed around her discussion at the moment honestly......

I think Kotoko can do bad things and still be criticized for those bad things without demonizing her. I think swinging in the other direction and focusing too much on what makes her "sympathetic" or cushioning her genuinely bad actions in that is a bit of a disservice to her writing. I think it's alright for Kotoko to be kinda a piece of shit actually. I think a character can regret and feel guilt and want to do good and still Harm People, especially people they care about. I don't think any of that is mutually exclusive, and I think treating it as such makes for a less Interesting story.

I suppose...I'm just kinda annoyed that it feels like her narrative is being turned into something more convenient I suppose. I got made fun of by my friend for liking horrible women when I said this...but damn do I like characters who are horrible....I should go to sleep...I feel like shit.....

why do you care so much about other people sympathizing with their favs, calling them "apologists" for it. these are fictional characters, there is no real life harm being done. people might see the characters or writing through a different lens than you and that doesn't make them any less correct or insightful. just let people be.

I don't care usually but it gets annoying when it comes to lore discussions because apologists completely ignore canon. When I'm talking about apologists I don't mean morally grey, can be seen either way, characters or actions. Apologists are fine but you can't ignore canon when it comes to lore discussions.

In my own personal hcs I don't share online I make Cacao more forgivable, but I don't do the same online. Why? Because it's harmful to people who've gone through neglect. Intensifying Cacaos neglectful abuse to straight up physical/verbal to "justify" all of Chocos actions is stupid. Making Choco a horrible son to justify Cacao's neglect, or excusing it because of his job as king is stupid. Real people have gone through neglect. And what these people do is spit on it and treat it like it's not real abuse by needing it to be "worse".

The simple truth is it's fine to be an apologist. These are fictional characters, but it has to be with things you can back up and that make sense.

You should have known. You should have seen the signs that cautioned you all week. But you ignored them, clinging to the new found hope that came with the tiny technology you happened to bring with you that fateful day at the Louvre. It was the one thing you were most grateful to have when the moon waxed and waned but you chose to remain by his side.

Birth control.

You opted for the method with 99% protection, no anxiety about missing a day, and (just as importantly) a lighter period. That time of the month had always been a menace. Between the crippling pain, the upset stomach, and the exhaustion, it had stolen so many weeks of your life.

But eventually you wondered if all the suffering you put up with was worse than the ‘horrible side effects’ you'd heard so much about from chemical birth control. So when you tried the hormonal IUD and your period stopped all together, you knew it was the right choice for you.

For the first time in a decade you felt well. However, you had been warned that it wouldn't last forever, that your body would adjust to the hormones within a year or so, that the bleeding would eventually return.

And it did, but infinitely more bearable. The bleeding was hardly enough to even colour the fabric of your undergarments it was so light, and all the other symptoms had disappeared.

At least until this week.

You passed off the light fevers that warmed your cheeks in the afternoons as overexertion from work. The nagging hip tightness that gradually became an ache was nothing more than you having neglected your stretches. Surely some yoga would fix it. Even the tummy trouble was easy to dismiss as having eaten (or not eaten) something or other.

So, with a year of freedom behind you, the last thing you anticipated was pain bad enough to have you doubled over. Least of all while out on a picnic this sunny spring day.

You could feel the numbness spreading little by little as you sat there playing with the flowers you'd picked. It was negligible though, just enough to be felt but not anywhere near enough to call it a day. Only after spending a few hours in the cooler-than-anticipated breeze did the pain start to flare.

With the shadows long and the basket empty, the two of you decided to head home. You kept quiet, planning to take a hot bath once back. And so hand in hand, you left the meadow.

But you hardly topped the next hill when you were struck down, the discomfort suddenly agony, your legs aching and numb, your back sore, your head light, and your skin clammy.

He didn't waste time asking what the cause was, instead threading the basket handle into one elbow and scooping you up in his arms. He could see your pained expression clearly now, and quickly surmised this wasn't unexpected on your part or you would be panicking. Your calm, although very ill, demeanor told him everything he needed to know as he headed swiftly back.

You often forget just how strong he is because he's always so gentle with you, but cradled against his chest you're reminded just how much strength his loving arms hold. He doesn't struggle or huff. He shows no signs of exertion. He merely readjusts you now and again to keep you comfortable in his embrace.

Back in your room he sets you down carefully and slips you out of any restraining clothes before tucking you under the blankets. With a kiss he leaves and returns as promised a while later laden with everything he thought might help.

A bed warmer full of hot stones from the common room fireplace, your favourite tea, soup from the kitchen, sweets and treats in tins and jars, and all the natural remedies he could find in the house from herbal patches to perfumed oils.

Unsure where to start he asks what you'd prefer, but your answer leaves his mouth hanging open.

“You want me to bite you?!” he confirms in a whisper.

“Please? I think it would help with the pain… That's what the pleasurable side effect is for, right?”

“Yes, but… are you sure your body can handle it right now?” he counters, taking a seat on the bed and pressing his hand to your forehead.

“I'm already feeling so weak I'm not going to get out of bed the rest of the day… I don't think it could do more than knock me out for the night.”

“What about the blood loss? Since you're already bleeding, won't it make you anemic?”

“I don't think so. You know I'm hardly bleeding at all. You said you didn't even notice because you couldn't smell it, right?”

“I guess… if you're really certain it's what you want, my love.”

With a nod and a faint smile you assure him and he gives you a peck in confirmation.

“Then, how about here?” he asks, and rubs your leg through the covers. “I think closer to the source of the pain might be more effective. Also there's a good artery here, so it's easier for me.”

Turning down the blanket, you let him do as he sees fit.

“Lie back,” he instructs gently with a warmth in his eyes that makes you feel incredibly safe. “Good girl. Are you comfortable? Yeah? Alright, spread your legs for me. There we go.”

Holding your gaze, he positions himself, arms linked beneath each knee, hands resting on your hipbones, and his mouth against your inner thigh, then waits for your final consent. When you nod, his jaw closes around a mouthful of soft flesh. Although you know what's coming and you even begged him for it yourself, your body still jolts as his fangs slice into you.

However, the poison immediately spreads through the punctured vessel and into your bloodstream — easing the pain of the wound and, just as you had hoped, the aches in the rest of your body too. Heartbeat by heartbeat, the torment subsides until you feel yourself relax. In the wake of relief, pleasure begins to wash through you. Mild at first, it surges as he continues to drink his fill, reaching a crest and wrecking you on a shore of ecstasy.

“Feel better, my love?” he asks as he laps at the bite, blood drunk eyes locked on yours glittering with afterglow.

“Mhm,” you hum out of breath and stretch your arms to beckon him to you.

Crawling over you, he steals a kiss and wraps you up in his arms, tucking your head beneath his chin and rubbing your back as you drift off together.

Ahem!! #1. Alejandro. Number one silly little guy. Number one horrible manipulative bastard man. 10/10 character I love him to bits. My best friend, Ink, who was slowly turning me into a TD fan by rambling to me, had mentioned to me that I'd probably really like him because he was, quote, an "interesting charmer kinda guy". You bastard. You fiend. I played right into your sick game didn't I. The character intrigued me from the moment Chris mentioned he was an Honor Roll student, and I'm absolutely fucking fascinated with the dude. He does some incredibly smart stuff, he's overtaken by petty emotion in some pretty dastardly ways that I don't typically expect, and he also just does some genuinely bafflingly weird shit that somehow doesn't feel out of character. Idk. Somethins wrong with him. Bit unsettling innit. My favorite interpretations of Alejandro are ones that take the unsettling part and run with it (aka serial killer, vampire, psychological horror villain aus...). #2. Duncan. Number TWO Silly little guy but admittedly for not as detailed reasons. I think he's fun. I think he's a great, incredibly flawed character and I think that he's got just so many things he's tryna overcompensate for with his behavior. I think juvie treated him really poorly, I think that I wanna pry his brain open with a crowbar to figure out what's wrong with him and for some reason I think he could've been even more fucked up. Idk I can make him worse give him to me now. Also, I just really enjoy aggressive asshole characters. Simple as that. #3. Gwen. Second I looked at her I knew she was gonna be the final girl. She is SO cool, I have no notes. I haven't broken her down as much but god there is just something about her that just appeals to me. Idk I just think that she's really cool. She hasn't done anything too out of range for me to want to go out of my way to analyze her though unfortunately, she's just incredibly chill and a great, great protagonist.
