Took a glance at the Canon Jiang Cheng tag today out of curiosity and got a free blocklist for my trouble but I did notice something really interesting
That is to say: Most of the stans “reclaiming” the tag literally outright admitted that their main reason for liking Jiang Cheng was that he’s attractive. The vast majority of the stan posts that I saw talked about his appearance first and foremost, and the other batch admitted they were woobie-fying him. Art was either hypersexualized or soft chibi shapes and all of it focused on either his suffering or him raising Jin Ling (specifically in a way that seemed Milf-y. He was drawn with exaggerated hips a lot.)
Most interestingly, almost none of the fanart was of CQL Jiang Cheng. Almost none of the gif sets showed CQL Jiang Cheng. This was Manhua and Donghua design Jiang Cheng, sexually exaggerated and squished into an UwU Woobie Baby Sadboi shape, palatable for consumption.
I’ve long had issues with the way fandoms — and the world at large — rank characters based on visual appearance. Wen Ning is to Wei Wuxian what so many fics depict Nie Huiasang as being; his best friend and closest confidant, the person who is in his corner no matter what, who sees and supports him and stands up for him even when it’s scary. But it’s hard to picture Wen Ning as the booty-shorts-wearing white-girl-wasted gender-ambiguous party friend, so Nie Huiasang gets that roll. If Wen Qing shows up at all, she must be The Mean Lesbian, because if she’s straight then her crisp no-nonsense attitude (which is literally just the way every trauma nurse in the world acts) isn’t attractive, it isn’t fun. And of course if she IS the mean lesbian, then her vulnerability and her fear and her deep compassion and desire to help people needs to be shoved to the side, because the mean lesbian doesn’t feel those things. That’s not sexy.
I don’t really know where I’m going with this. This problem isn’t unique to MDZS or Jiang Cheng Stans or anything like that. It’s a pervasive issue I’ve seen everywhere for as long as I can remember; beauty exclusively means fuckability. There are no versions of attractiveness that don’t lend themselves to sexual consumption. Beauty also means morality and value. If someone is not beautiful — that is, if you don’t want to fuck them — then they are unworthy. Characters that are extremely important to a story get either erased (if the fandom doesn’t think they’re hot) or rewritten (if the fandom does think they’re hot) because hot people can’t do bad things, or at least they can’t do bad things that aren’t kind of thrilling and exciting. Because they’re hot.
It reminds me of people who are into Slashers, actually? Although from what I’ve seen slasherfuckers are more self-aware than Jiang Cheng Stans.

Nice food, plenty enough to never fall asleep hungry ever again. Fancy apartment, warm and safe and aesthetic even. Good clothes (A custom made leather jacket?). Women (Maybe the origin of the "Ladies Man" myth he spun around himself). Forgetting himself in all this extravagance. All this making him indifferent and a little arrogant. He knows he achieved it all by himself from zero so that's only legit, right? Why should he bother? After all these hardships, all this work and time and tears and blood and sweat, he deserves this.
Only very slowly realizing what was happening around him. With himself. How bad it really makes him feel doing these things. Or perhaps some crucial event or several combined that made him reconsider. Only regaining his conscience slowly, piece by piece. Remorse painfully clawing its way out of the innermost depths of the soul of that scared, little boy that's still somewhere left inside him.
Long story short: I'd maybe like to explore the concept of pre-2004 prick Luis in the future :D

Our Wonderland is a visual novel / horror game / horrific dating sim??? / mangled mess of Fucked Up chars reaching their 30s but not? understanding who they are?? and twisted grisly things happen???
It stars five childhood friends with a sEcReT—they opened a Magical Wish-Granting Wonderland in their youth (as one does). Twenty years later, however, they've all turned into barely functioning adults just trying to Get By™, each with their own Traumas exacerbated by their struggles to fit in to a cis- hetero- allonormative world (as well as Pining,,, lots and lots of unrequited Pining). Cue a Return to Wonderland. 2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
How he always seems to seek the peaceful option first. He was against burning the ships, tried to treat with Morgoth (even though he undoubtedly knew it was a trap because how could you not know), tried to rescue Elured and Elurin, and sent a letter entreating Elwing prior to the sacking of Sirion. And depending on which text you're reading, the attack on Doriath was mostly at Celegorm's urging, and the sack of Sirion was mostly at the urging of the Ambarussa. So... I just find that to be very critical to my understanding of him as a character. I think it's so interesting!!
8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?
I guess the lack of nuance? I rarely see takes that both acknowledge that there seems to be some good in him while also taking into account that he very much did murder a lot of people. It seems to be always "woobie babie who has done no wrong" or "evil evil bad boy" and I don't like either of those options and find them very uninteresting. Especially when it comes to the adoption of Elros and Elrond.
I've been seeing more and more nuance lately. Though I don't know if that's simply down to my own curation of my dashboard or if that's a general shift in the fandom. Either way, I'm happy.

What does everyone else get wrong about your favorite character?
Hmmmmmmmm. I am trying to think of something ppl always say about Percy, mostly because I surround myself in Percy centric circles. Anyone who says hes only mean or cold or uncaring is wrong, and is watching the show wrong.
I will say I am not fond of the woobie characterisation. Not saying I don't indulge in it sometimes, I love a bit of whump, but he's not an uwu baby. He is an arsehole. He is a bit of a dick. He is snobby.
ALSO i saw a fic that called Vex a greed bitch who deserved to die, and Vex being greedy is considered as a defining characteristic in general in the fandom. No. Vex is greedy, but also fairly giving. It's more money anxiety and thriftiness, than pure greed, Vex bought those slave boys to free them. Other than the broom thing, I can't think of a time where it can be considered that Vex made a decision out of pure greed, it is not a regularly occurring characteristic for her to be greedy at the expense of others.
Which character who is commonly headcanoned as queer doesn't seem queer to you?
Grog only likes women for sureeeee. My straight ally king. But honestly I think the rest of VM are queer otherwise and it's fairly canon in some version sooo I don't have anything substantial.
Maybe Cassandra de Rolo, with a lesbian HC? But I more consider her demi-ace who falls in love with Kynan. There is little canon evidence for this other than I think it's cool and I like it.

The soup.
The day started like any other. Then the asks came in. They were calling me things I had never even heard of like skrimblo, Silliest little eeby deeby gooby wooby, blorbo, baby girl, poor little meow meow, number one sopping wet cat, etc.
Then someone threatened to put me in soup. That’s when it really started. Oh the horrors. I told them no, that over my dead body they were going to get me into that soup. Little did I know.
There were so many. I couldn’t fight them all so I got into the soup.
It was chill at first, then they wanted to add things. They tried getting Pete in but he escaped. I wish I was that lucky but I wasn’t.
They started innocent enough. They made jokes about Dirty boy soup. Me and other me added alcohol. Some veggies, some meat. Then. Than the chernobyl elephant’s foot. It was all so innocent till then. Part of me believes that maybe the radiation did get to me.
It was a bird next, then dog meat, some more normal things, then the homeless man’s tears, The Ooze, a small child, finally it seemed like it was going back to normal with actual foods and spices, even more broth. Than the flesh. Human flesh.
Finally someone cleaned it out and had just a beef and potato stew. I thought maybe I was safe…. There was so much. So much vanilla extract, I’m talking over 8 gallons of it. More flesh, fucking pure potassium, salt too much salt, cyanide, meth. Then.
The lobster, just one at first looking for a place, but it invited its friends and I became their god. Peter griffin was in the soup at some point, he went to soup school and got a soup degree in radiation. Peter cured the radiation in the soup. Tim was put in, my dad was put in, so many lobsters. There was more flesh and meth, 8 tons of meth, more things kept being added. The spicy anon who kept adding spicy shit had a whole arc they went through. There was a fire, me and Tim escaped. Now they want to put me in a salad.

The Masquerade Event came and went on the ENG server. Just a couple weeks ago, I seen plenty of takes where OP rolls their eyes at people who say that Rollo is "problematic" thanks to who he's based on or him being "racist". (Which makes no sense, because fae aren't real.) Sorry, but I have to play devil's advocate. To be quite honest, I agree with some of the sentiment behind that, I just think some people aren't articulating their points well.
The issue some people have with Rollo isn't that he's based on a villain so therefore he's problematic and anyone who likes him must be sent to the Shadow Realm. All of them are. Hating Rollo based on that would be fucking stupid. The issue people have is how the game glorified Frollo by honouring the school after him and handled Rollo as a character, despite who he's based on.
For the former, again, yes, some of the Great Seven did some messed up shit in their movies. Hell, Jafar has that creepy Jabba the Hutt style captive princess scene with Jasmine, despite the fact that she was a minor. I'm a huge Jamil fan. What sets Frollo apart from them is that he's based strictly in reality. You will never meet a Hades, Ursula or Jafar in real life. They are fanatical villains with magical powers or objects. However, there are thousands of people like Frollo in real life, especially in the west. Plus, Frollo is on a whole other level compared to the Great Seven. All of the Great Seven have good traits, so you can see an argument for how they might be seen as heroes of their stories. Frollo has ZERO redeeming qualities. This is the same guy who killed a lady and wanted to drown a newborn baby for being disabled in the first scene he was in, lusted after an underaged girl and wanted to genocide all of the Romani in Paris! So there's no in universe explanation for how that would come to be.
Christianity is one of the most popular religions in the west, so everything tied to it cares much more weight here. A lot of people have religious trauma. There is a very real issue of residential schools, especially in the US and Canada, where indigenous/native american people were abused which were ALWAYS Christian. Basing the school on a fictional figure with that much real life baggage is in poor taste. While I know Christianity is a minor religion in Japan, hence why Christian elements are often added to Japanese media due to it being "exotic" to them much like how westerners view the Greek Pantheon, the game is being distributed internationally, so the developers should've considered these things and handled that topic much more respectfully and reconsidered some of their decisions.
One may argue that Gaston and Cruella are the same way, since they are realistic villains as well. But guess what? They don't have a dorm let alone a whole fucking school honoured after them!
Honestly, I think it would've been FAR better if the game made Rollo like the staff where he's based on Frollo, but honoured the school after Mother Gothel instead. Hell, you could've done a plot twist where all of the stuff in the town is based on Tangled, and then Rollo pulls the flower shit inspired by Hunchback of Notre Dame. That would've been so cool!
That leads to that second thing—how Rollo was handled. For one, he's a woobified version of Frollo. A woobie, for those of you who don't know, is an older fandom term used to describe bland pretty characters with a tragic backstory that the author expects you to feel sorry for them and get away with everything. Oh, boy. Does he fit that definition in spades. He's pretty bland. His only real standout personality traits are that he hates magic and the fae, prideful, traditional and possibly athletic. That's it. He has a sad backstory where his brother died in a fire after his magic got out of control. Fine, that's cliche, but it works. Hell, it's kinda clever in a sense where it's inspired by the Hunchback of Notre Dame off-broadway musical. Characters like Idia point out the hypocrisy in Rollo's ideology and that he is really doing this thanks to his own guilt for his brother's death, which is a good thing. The problem is, outside of him being boring as a character, that despite wanting to suck out all of the magic in the world, he got away with it scott free, and his only form of "punishment" was living with the guilt of knowing everyone thinking that he was some sort of hero...despite Malleus wanting revenge on him five minutes earlier. (I don't get it either.) I think a lot of this problem plays into a reoccurring one the game has a whole—the character stagnation and Yana's utter unwillingness to let them face any consequences for their actions.
It's not even with the one shot villains. You see this play out all the time with the main cast. All of the OB gang get a slap on the wrist for their actions. Everyone instantly forgives them, including people like Kalim and Ruggie who were almost MURDERED. (Kalim I kinda get, because he's a ball of sunshine and is deep in denial about a lot of things. But Ruggie? You think he would be at least upset at Leona for almost Thanos Snapping his ass.) It's not even just for OBs either. Malleus faced zero consequences or is even properly called out for his actions during the second Halloween event or deciding to tag along, despite damn well knowing it would make Jamil's life harder and that he couldn't refuse him.
So in that sense, the way that Rollo got away scott free is super annoying, but not surprising. It happens all the time with the main boys, so why not him? Hell, the same thing happens with with Honest Fellow.
However, this problem hampers the writing on all fronts. Unless you are writing a flat arc, characters need to change and grow, especially in a coming of age story like TWST should be. So instead of learning and growing like real people, every single character in the TWST cast always remain the same and never face any repercussions for their actions. It's asinine, since they realistically would, even if they are based on villains. Hell, you think it would make it even more so, since they are based on villains and would be more revengeful and not merciful.
The game should've punished Rollo for his actions. I don't think he needs to fall to his death into a lake of fire like his original counterpart, but him being expelled or everyone at his school hating him after learning the truth and him being stripped off all of his titles would've been nice!
Don't get me wrong. Rollo isn't bad as a concept. Hell, I'm even adding a version of him to my own fic, so saying that you can never add a character like that to a story would be super hypocritical of me. It's certainly cool if you enjoy him as a character, even if I don't jell with him personally. Just that the way that Yana could've handled Rollo and the other Hunchback of Notre Dame elements in a much more respectful manner and nixed basing the school on Frollo himself.

I swear to God I have questions about Team Black but the woobie ism around Aemond and Alicent is crazy. Aemond was not some sweet baby that got gang jump. Even if he had a right to try for Vhagar, gloating to your host's motherless granddaughters that their mother was dead, give Rhaena a pig, and threatening to burn them with their dead mother's dragon has to be a violation of guest right! So is the entire the queen draws a dagger on the crown princess! But then Criston Cole literally murders a man at a royal wedding and gets a promotion. Calling the boys publicly bastards is basically asking for their and Rhaenyra's deaths!
Ah well we have two separate canons - Aemond getting Vhagar in the book involved him sneaking out of fear of upsetting his parents and The Dragon Twins are never involved in the incident.
In the show Aemond absolutely had a right to go for Vhagar - and his statements to his cousins were cruel and mean. I do think Show Aemond is meant to be a boy who is very much bullied (not by the Dragon Twins mind you) but by his older brother, The Strong boys and frankly likely his father as well.
Seeing as in the book Viserys insults Aemond’s lack of “boldness” in not having a dragon this to me supports the idea that the show kind of pushes out which is that for a Targaryen whether it be Aemond or Rhaena - not having a dragon is unfortunately viewed as deeply humiliating and it’s honestly a shame.
However back to Aemond I think once he gets his dragon - it’s very much a situation of the bullied becomes the bully - Where he feels he can inflict the insults and pain he felt pushed onto him - Onto Rhaena who is now the only cousin who does not have a dragon.
I do disagree in that I think he is very much a baby as is Rhaena, Baela, Jace, Luke & Joffrey. I don’t think Aemond deserved to loss an eye for being ugly and cruel to his cousins, just like I don’t think his cousins should have become physically violent against him - (However I understand - All the kids are in emotionally fraught situations and act very much like kids playing at adults and it has dire consequences)
While I agree that Aemond’s insults were horrible they don’t break guest right as guest right involves eating bread and salt as an assurance you will not be physically harmed by your hosts and vice versa. (If you want to be pedantic both guest and host hurt each other? But they’re children lol)
The situation with Alicent (discussing show version of characters) unfortunately I disagree with as well. This isn’t to say that Alicent had any right to be violent or aggressive towards Rhaenyra because she didn’t, but I can empathize with a mother who can been gaslight and mistreated by the House she married into and The House that was supposed to love and cherish her and her children.
If we want to blame someone it’s Viserys - I think people dislike admitting this because they think it paints Rhaenyra in a bad light? But Viserys’s blatant favoritism doesn’t just hurt Alicent and her children but also Rhaenyra and hers in the long run.
All of the children should have been punished accordingly to what they are which is children. Lucerys should have apologized to Aemond & Alicent and perhaps (ages are iffy but squire or be in service to Aemond throughout his recovery) - He could have fostered at Kingslanding under Viserys & Alicent. Aemond should have apologized to Baela & Rhaena as well as Corlys & Rhaenys -( As should have the entirety of House Targaryen tbh). 
While I don’t think it would solved things entirely if at all Viserys should have pushed for the wedding between Jace & Helaena. As well as maybe Rhaena & Aemond. Baela could have wed Luke as a (consolation the inheritance which was her right) - Aegon should have been sent off to be a maester but not before all of Alicent’s children made vows in front of Westeros to upholds Rhaenyra’s claims - HOWEVER Rhaenyra should have also made vows to honor and love Alicent and her children as valued members of her family. With both sides vowing to never have a situation like Driftmark occur again.
It irks me to no end when people say Rhaenyra’s the crown Princess she doesn’t owe anyone anything they need to know “their” place. Sure in a perfect universe I suppose? but humans don’t work like that? and we see where that ridiculous sense of entitlement leaves everyone in this family. Mind you this all has to work in a Westeros where horrible men like Daemon Targaryen & Otto Hightower aren’t there to mess it all up.
I am of the opinion that marriage to Daemon ruined a huge chance of Rhaenyra ever ascending the Iron Throne. From the very beginning she was named heir so he would not rule. Alicent & her children had valid reasons to fear for their lives after Driftmark. Even if Laenor had to “die” I think Rhaenyra would have done well ruling alone she didn’t need another King consort as she had three heirs “from” Laenor. (Also inserting a cheeky point here 🫢🫣 but I think it’s comical the fandom is quick to say 10 year Aemond deserved to loss his eye for disrespecting Rhaena & Baela and yet…no one discusses how disrespectful it was to Rhaena & Baela for Daemon & Rhaenyra to have sex that same night of their mother’s funeral?) Mind you I don’t blame Rhaenyra due to the fact that she was a victim of Daemon’s grooming and abuse but can we get some Daemon slander? Lol
Criston Cole murdering Joffrey at a wedding was pure show stupidity and does not work. In the book Joffrey is unfortunately lost under jousting I believe which makes much more sense - but I’m convinced the show wanted to continue “GOT” tradition of “Weddings ending up badly” 🙄
I’d have to rewatch but I don’t believe we ever see Alicent imply the boys are bastards to anyone but Viserys - perhaps Criston? and I think this is in self service of the rights she believe her children have lost. Which I mean sure is grasping and messed up? but I’m not surprised that a Fuedal era woman isn’t a girlboss liberal 21st century feminist with feminist ideas?
However in the book and in the show - Which the show does an extremely poor of showcasing - There would be a court and we know there was a schism between the Queen’s courtiers and The Princess’s courtiers but the birth of a royal baby especially the next King is a grand affair where at least historically people would be in attendance - I don’t think it’s unfair to say that the court was likely surprised when two silver haired violet eyed “gods” first born child is “plain” normal and looks like any other “human”. I think tongues would have been wagging immediately. Do I think show Alicent necessarily put a stop to such “gossip” I doubt it but can she be solely blamed for it? I don’t think so. The book does a good way of showing this in the Silent 5 which are omitted from the show for the sake of further victimizing Rhaenyra and stealing her agency.
In conclusion it’s made very clear that show Alicent never desires to see Rhaenyra murdered and I think she will be horrified and devastated when she realizes what Aemond has done to Lucerys. I think show Alicent at least is always working from the very anxious thoughts Otto has drilled into her head since she had Aegon - that her children and her own life will be forfeit - and Viserys along with Rhaenyra (The King & future Queen) have whether purposely or accidentally proven those fears to be a real possibility.
Therefore where do we go from here? This was a tragedy set in stone from the moment Viserys remarried and I don’t think it was possible for it not to occur had Viserys married any other woman. Therefore he shouldn’t have remarried and for those who say well what about his heirs? He had Laena & Laenor as options as well in case any incidents occured. I hope my response doesn’t upset you too much! I just am very neutral on the entire dance and find it to be a real shame for House Targaryen.

1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?
I usually find first-person pretty hard to do, and I like to challenge myself, and the first draft of the fic was in third person for a bit before I realized it really wasn't working out! So I switched it to first person and it all ran a little smoother from there. Another thing was I didn't expect it to be two parts, and then after seven thousand words Kaiba still hadn't appeared, so I cut it in half. I did want the whole thing to be kind of a morbid bleak dark comedy, but the first half is the dark comedy and the second half is just morbid and bleak LOL. Finally I have thought about writing "Jounouchi driven to insanity by Kaiba's billboard" for a long time, and lately I've been really into trying to write non-endings, or not-happy endings, or open endings. And like, as much as I love him and his feelings, I think DSOD Kaiba would find it hard to emphathize with a more mundane concern like a lack of sleep. What does he care. He is on a quest to find God Atem!!
5: What part was hardest to write?
Kaiba is my woobie baby man. My poor little meow meow. My sopping wet boy who just wants to be loved. I tend to write him as having some capacity for empathy/sympathy, or the very least, a capacity for self-reflection and awareness and knowing when he's done wrong... so writing him with the Aloof/Bored/Disinterested/Totally Indifferent to Your Problems/Willing to do Horrific Things Because They're Convenient qualities and traits dialed up to 12 was a little difficult. Making sure he came off as a lonely but kinda creepy and mean weirdo mad scientist on an insane incomprehensible quest (from Jou's POV) was one of the most important parts of the fic for me.

Skewed Priorities
Every time I think the Teen Wolf fandom has run out of ways to surprise me, I get bushwhacked by a take so egregiously WTF that it makes me resolve never to doubt anyone's claims of racism or misogyny in media, no matter how outlandish they sound.

This person isn't a Scott hater. They're not a BNF or the Asshole Anon. As far as I can tell, they like Scott! They like the show!
It's mystifying.
Scott doesn't ignore Stiles ever. He has scenes with Stiles every single episode. Scott ditched a study date with Allison because an angry Stiles demands that he do something! The only time that Stiles is in physical danger and Scott's not present protecting him is in Wolf's Bane (1x09) when Stiles deliberately kept information from Scott in order to keep Scott away and when Peter kidnaps Stiles from the Winter Formal in Formality (1x11). Scott never discovers that Peter has kidnapped Stiles or bitten Lydia until after the end of the season because he's too busy trying to find Derek.
As for Allison, she is stalked by and Scott is threatened with her death by Peter (and Derek) not less than eight times in the first season: Wolf Moon (1x01), Second Chance at First Line (1x02), Night School (1x07), Co-Captain (1x10), three separate times in Formality (1x11), and Code Breaker (1x12). The first four were before she knew werewolves existed! Doesn't she deserve a little protection, too?
As for Derek, I cannot stand it when the fandom does this bit when they say "Derek is a poor woobie baby and why doesn't Scott see that and follow him around and take care of him! For Hale's sakes, his sister just got killed! His family's dead! He's a wreck. Scott should show him some compassion!" and then turn around and say in the very next breath "as a Hale and a born werewolf, Scott should listen to every single word that comes out of Derek's mouth, never question him, and do whatever he asks, because he's simply better."
I know where part of this comes from: The Tell (1x05).
Scott: What?
Stiles: Finally! Have you been getting any of my texts?
Scott: Yeah, like all 9 million of them.
Stiles: Do you have any idea what's going on? Lydia is totally M.I.A., Jackson looks like he's got a time bomb inserted into his face, another random guy's dead, and you have to do something about it.
Scott: Like what?
Stiles: Something.
Scott: Okay, I'll deal with it later.
Of course, the fandom takes Scott saying "I'll deal with this later" as him refusing to listen to Stiles! But here's the thing -- Stiles doesn't know what to do, either! The show wanted to indicate that Scott and Stiles were out of their depth, with too much they didn't know. But fandom doesn't care, because a character of color didn't snap to attention when a white male character demanded something of him. They took it as saying that Scott wasn't doing what he was supposed to do and spending too much time with Allison, because how dare he go after something he wants when the Smartest White Boy in the World and Lost Werewolf Prince aren't being his focus?
Stiles never NEVER got angry with Scott for being with Allison. He got angry with Scott because his father got hurt (and it wasn't fair to Scott). Derek got angry about Allison, but who the hell was he to determine anything about Scott's life? It's 2024, and the idea that Scott should have been Derek's and Stiles's personal manservant is alive and well.

MY BOY THE CHAZZ!!!
Dude when I say I fucking love this guy I fucking LOVE this guy he makes me so happy on every level
First Impression: Initially I enjoyed making fun of Chazz like. A lot LOL I pretty much bullied for his first couple of appearances. His English voice actor (the original one/S1) PERFECTED his voice. PERFECTED! From the start Manjoume was such a snotty little loser and hos voice in en and jp perfectly encapsulates how snotty he is and I think it's so funny that his brothers sound exactly like him but older. I thought he was so funny. But he just kept getting funnier. He just kept getting more unhinged. I think he really took a shine to me during his North Academy arc. I related a lot to his struggle with expectations
Impression now: THE CHAAAZZZZ!!! MANJOUME THUNDER!!! MY GOOBY WOOBY! MY BIMBLO BLORBO!!! MY FUCKING GUUUUYYYY!!!! I love Judai but like. Manjoume is my favourite GX character to be honest. I still think he's so fucking funny and I love how funny and pathetic he is and I think he is perfect shitty teenager rep. He is arrogant. He is goofy. He's having a bisexual crisis. He thinks he's the most romantic feminist in the world. He probably listens to emo music. He wears black because he's a non-conformist™️ and he's Not Like The Other Slifers In This Shitty Dorm. He smells bad. He is me at 15. I want to wrap him in tin foil and put him in the microwave. I wanna study him under a microscope. He is my son!!!

Idea for a story: Honestly I've wanted to write about Manjoume grappling with a post-grad crisis for a hot minute because I find it difficult to believe that after everything that happens in DA he just hits the pro league like nothing happened. I wanna see him go to therapy and process everything that's happened in his life, especially the guilt he probably feels over both awakening the sacred beasts and his role in the society of light.
Unpopular opinion: I don't really mind Manjoume's weird character progression, because watching him be a little silly even though he's the main rival is fun. I think people expected something akin to Kaiba and Yugi's rivalry but Manjoume isn't Kaiba and his rivalry and friendship with Judai is really different. Plus his silly moments make him fun and relatable (don't know if that's unpopular but voila)
Favourite relationship: Gx Rivalshipping. Hands down. I'm a sucker for Chazz/Jaden and I am a chronic multishipper LOL
Favourite headcanon: Transmasc baby!! Jesse and Chazz are trans guys on opposite sides of the spectrum!! And by that I mean Manjoume is Jesse Pinkman trans LMAOOO
Other than that I refuse to believe his hair is naturally like that. I think he gels it to keep it in that style. It's all apart of His Aesthetic™️, It's not a PHASE you just don't understand his SUPERIOR FASHION TASTE
