So Hilda season 3. (This post has nothing to do with hilda season 3)

Oooo, Megan, Maggie, that is actually an excellent defense as it doesn't deny that he did the accused actions but rather that the autobots have been doing some serious judicial no-nos. Smaaart. Because both of these? Both of these statements are true as hell.

He may be a horrible person, but this is still not a fair trial. They've been legitimately blaming Megatron for everything that went down in the war, while conspicuously staying quiet about their role in it. Optimus bringing in Chromedome is indeed a low fucking blow, rifling through someone's head is absolutely not something that should be happening in matters such as this (as we see time and time again mnemosurgery has pretty dark implications about bodily autonomy and privacy). By giving Optimus such a big and official role here when he and Megatron have a heavily biased past is pretty fucked up. And I'd argue yes, at every turn they've been saying he's automatically guilty and that he deserves to die.

Ever since the beginning of this entire process the autobots have proven this court cannot deliver a fair verdict.

I had a weird thought.

I’ve seen a few people make comments about how weird the boys even had the band since they couldnt do tours really in the tree and wouldnt the noise and music draw in bergens?

Obviously the tree was huge by troll standards and they probably did tour “around the tree” but I’d also like to point out that as much as the cage kept them trapped, the cage wasn’t really built to keep them in. The gaps were huge. What kept them in was the fear of the bergens. The cage was probably more designed to keep the trolls safe from any bergen who thought they had the right to be happy more than once a year. Like a chicken coop is more about keeping out foxes and things.

But like, the thought I had was, the boys were supposedly some of the most happy trolls in the village, likely thought to be due to their musical success.

We know that chef said a happy troll is a tasty troll, and she had claimed poppy was the happiest. So why had, in years previous, the brozone boys never been targeted?

I think its because Chef knew? They made the tree happy. The other trolls happy. And if the trolls were happy they were good for cooking.

It didn’t make sense to have a literal baby in a boy band. Unless being in the band was safer.

What if thats why John Dory was so focused on perfection and keeping the fans happy? Because as long as the band kept people happy, the brothers were safe?

Anyway, thats the weird thought.

It’s fucking hilarious

So I made this on a google doc on my phone and I’m heading back to my sleep because of course, this came to me in a dream

So something interesting I’ve noticed is how people treat Lockwood’s character especially how they handle his obvious suicidal tendencies. I mean, Winkman picked up on it within literal minutes of meeting the kid it’s not like he’s hiding it well, but anyways

George: George treats Lockwood’s tendencies as something you have to work around. He doesn’t really like it, but he doesn’t try to hard to stop it farther than telling Lucy she has to be able to tell him no or she’ll “make him worse”. We see this and we know George cares about him a whole deal and we know that they’ve been bets tied for a while now and yet George hardly knows anything personal about Lockwood. George doesn’t extend a helping hand so Lockwood doesn’t attempt to take it

Kipps: We all see how Kipps treats Lockwood’s disregard for life. He believes that there is no saving Lockwood and the best thing they could do is let him kill himself before he drags someone down with him, which we see when he talks to Lucy saying “you don’t know what he’s really like” and something along the lines of “you better leave before he drags you down with him”. Kipps not only doesn’t extend that helping hand but he takes it and runs from Lockwood as fast as he can, and so Lockwood doesn’t even pretend to like him (plus he’s a bit of a jerk but they’re all jerks Lockwood just has a tolerance for some of them)

Lucy: And here’s where it gets interesting. Unlike the others she doesn’t run away or dance around the problem, she looks it dead in the eyes and tells it to stop. She offers Lockwood her hand again and again and each time she does it Lockwood gets a little closer to taking it because each time she does it is a time no one else tried. Everyone had given up on him, decided that he was a lost cause and his fate was sealed, but Lucy just wouldn’t stop and so when she offered her helping hand, Lockwood took it. Yeah he doesn’t quite know what to do with it now that he has it but the fact that he took it is what important. It’s why she was only there for a couple months or so and he was opening that door when George couldn’t even ask about it after a year of living with the man

The reason why I love Lucy and Lockwood together so much is this. It’s because Lucy never gave up on him and it gave Lockwood hope in himself. The two make each other better people and that’s amazing

I want to say that Velma is a symptom of the Rick-and-Mortification of adult animation. It's like how in the 90s every adult cartoon wanted to be the Simpsons, then for the longest time every adult cartoon wanted to be Family Guy, so now every adult cartoon wants to be Rick and Morty. They saw that Rick and Morty could be cruel and mean spirited, so they took that theme (and half the art style) and ran with it. I was never a big fan of Rick and Morty because it made me uncomfortable, but all my friends in college swore by it, calling it clever and satirical and unironically heartwarming when it needed to be (I don't personally see it, but surely they can't all be wrong), while all the new adult shows trying to copy it are just unpleasant and mean for the sake of being unpleasant and mean. Isn't it funny how all the characters are horrible human beings who never learn anything? Aren't optimism and sincerity stupid?

I haven’t yet given my two cents about the season finale of ofmd, especially Izzy’s death. I’ve seen a lot of different opinions and i respect if yours differs from mine. I’m open to respectful discussion. But here’s my take that’s probably biased because I love Izzy.

Izzy’s death was unnecessary.

It was clear to me he was killed off to protect the show’s one true monogamous pairing that Izzy posed a threat to. He first tried to separate them in season one and secondly he clearly loved Edward, even saying so in season two.

But what makes me angry is that David Jenkins said he wanted a happy ending for the queer characters because in media they are often punished.

Is that not exactly what they did to Izzy? Or does that happy ending only apply to queer characters in relationships? Is one’s queerness only valid if you are in a relationship?

“It was important that if we don’t get to make more of these, the show doesn’t end in a dour way like the first season. Because a lot of times, if there’s a queer romance in a genre thing, the characters often end up being punished for it and it ends up tragic or unrequited. I think it’s important to give these characters a happy ending.”

The writers seemed to only value the queer characters in relationships and not those that weren’t.

This makes it clear to me was killed off to give Ed and Stede their happy ending. Because Izzy posed a threat to it and his impact to the plot was over, they killed him off.

But in doing that they did exactly that. Punished a queer character for being queer. They killed him because he loved Ed and had no other love interest.

(obviously i’m in no position to give writing advice or tips but this is just what has helped me and maybe it’ll help you! take these lightly!)

crappy sentences will help

this is something i do whenever i lack the motivation to write but have ideas flowing that i don’t want to forget. basically, write them in crappy sentences. it doesn’t matter how bad they are, as long as you’ve put the idea down on your document. then, when you’ve found the motivation to write, turn those crappy sentences into better sentences or paragraphs and expand on those ideas!

just keep writing

this is something very subjective and defers from person to person but i really find this helping me. this is basically writing even though you don’t feel like writing. getting started is usually the hardest part and it is, so to help cope with that, i give myself as much time as possible to write down the first few words and sentences of a paragraph. if there’s anything that writing has taught me is that patience is virtue so i give myself time to figure out the first few lines. usually, i still manage to write things of good quality when i give myself time to do so even when i don’t feel like writing and it gives me a boost! i aim to at least write everyday except for my rest days :)

go back to the drawing board

this helps me when i have no idea what to write or how to get started. this can be done anywhere, on a sheet of paper, on a document, for me i use the whiteboard in my room. this is basically brainstorming your story/chapter if you have no idea what to write or how to get started, maybe even if you have no motivation! slowly, you can start to map out your story/chapter and as you link idea with idea, it’ll really help you get started on writing that story or chapter of yours!

songs, songs and songs

put on some fun music! for me, i usually create playlists or use the ones on youtube. why i say this helps is because it puts you in a better mood and i’ve found the better of a mood im in, the better it is to write. this also makes writing more fun because it’s like a half writing session half music session! also, certain lyrics might inspire you with your writing!

So, I have a revelation for my fellow aromantics/asexuals/aroaces with adhd/autism:

Having a crush feels (almost) exactly like having a hyperfixation (in my experience)

I’m saying this as someone who, at age 16, has only now had their first crush after nearly two years of friendship with the person I have a crush on (now re-evaluating my label of aromantic,thinking i might be demiromantic but it doesn’t matter that much)

So Austin wore this leather suit in black, Z in blush pink and T in baby blue? Talk about a versatile cast.

hear me out, i have a silly dff theory running through my head :

so we see jin catching feelings for non early on and maybe over time he builds up the courage to confess and gets rejected because non already has a boyfriend. so his rejection hurts jin which might lead to anger and humiliation which is jin turns on non to get revenge. and things take a turn for the worse, when non actually disappears (or dies). maybe that is why he is consumed with guilt and is running away to the states because he can't confront his past.

anyway jin seems a bit deranged at times and i find him highly suspicious mostly because we don't know much about him other than his infatuation with non.

why does kris keep eating inedible items

This is a hard thing to answer without going into headcanon territory. My personal bet is that Kris simply shows symptoms of iron-deficiency anemia. Symptoms include: paleness, moodiness, low energy, the feeling of getting tired quickly when exercising, behavioral problems and pica (eating ice or non-food items)
