Oooo, Megan, Maggie, that is actually an excellent defense as it doesn't deny that he did the accused actions but rather that the autobots have been doing some serious judicial no-nos. Smaaart. Because both of these? Both of these statements are true as hell.

He may be a horrible person, but this is still not a fair trial. They've been legitimately blaming Megatron for everything that went down in the war, while conspicuously staying quiet about their role in it. Optimus bringing in Chromedome is indeed a low fucking blow, rifling through someone's head is absolutely not something that should be happening in matters such as this (as we see time and time again mnemosurgery has pretty dark implications about bodily autonomy and privacy). By giving Optimus such a big and official role here when he and Megatron have a heavily biased past is pretty fucked up. And I'd argue yes, at every turn they've been saying he's automatically guilty and that he deserves to die.

Ever since the beginning of this entire process the autobots have proven this court cannot deliver a fair verdict.

Like Yoko and Ajax were like good for them. There are even separate shots of Divina and again Yoko and Ajax being proud of the two’s roommate moment. While Xavier over there looking like “great another person she’d rather have a moment with”

Tango's scared, because even though they're not there anymore, he's still going to have to watch Jimmy die.

Tango's scared.

He's trying not to show it on his face, but void he's scared. He knows what Jimmy's like. He knows his track record with death games like this. He knows, he knows, he knows.

Jimmy's going to die, and Tango is going to have to watch it, and even though this isn't like the death games they keep playing, it's still so scary for Tango to watch his rancher play in another death game. One that Tango made, one that Jimmy could've just avoided.

But they avoided Jimmy being in any real danger. They made Etho be his mentor, and Etho's the best player in the game, so it made sense. The cursed with the best player. And although it does little to calm Tango's nerves, he feels slightly better that his soulmate rancher is with someone he trusts.

"You ready, Jimmy?" He asks, steeling his voice and putting on a smile.

"I'm ready," Jimmy responds, a wide grin plastered across his face. But Tango can see all the built up fear behind it, and even though they're not soul bound anymore – they're not there anymore, and haven't been for over a year – Tango still feels his heartstrings pull.

Tango shuts his eyes, taking a deep breath. It's just him and Jimmy here right now. Etho's already downstairs waiting for Jimmy to enter the dungeon. The others are over at Ren and Etho's ice boat race, so Tango's alone with Jimmy.

He feels Jimmy's presence close to him, and almost by instinct, Tango reaches for a goat horn that no longer hangs on his side. He breathes before opening his eyes, locking with Jimmy's brown ones.

"Everything okay?" Jimmy asks, and Tango nods his head. "Tango, it's just us."

He nods again before saying the one thing running through his head: "I don't want to watch you die again."

"Tango–"

"This is different, Jimmy. This isn't... I made this. I built this. And I've watched people die but... but it's you. I don't want to watch you die again."

"But you and Etho will guide me, right?" Jimmy asks. "Like before. I just have to get the artifact and get out."

"But... but the ravagers. The wardens. The hazards. The traps. Jimmy–"

"I'll be fine, Tango. I'm not going to die. You won't have to watch me die."

But a canary is always cursed to die in a mine, and Tango knows Jimmy. He was doomed from the start.

In a small, Eastern European town where I grow up you'd say 'you only light up for sluts' as in, if someone lets you light up their cigarette, instead of taking your lighter and doing it yourself, they're down to fuck. This is, of course, awfully misogynistic and problematic in array of different ways, but this is how it was. Boys would snicker at girls leaning in to have their cigarettes lighten up. I would take immense pleasure in lighting up boy's cigs, establishing dominance and whatever else 16 yo old do at parties. You know, baby's first steps into power play.

Christmas as a cultural icon is starting to get really dystopian in a climate sense, december has historically been a time of year in which there would be snow in a significant portion of europe and north america, and the fact that its not even icy this time of year and all the christmas songs and decorations reference a time of year that will likely never exist in the same way again in my life time is so strange.
