Why is Sylvie angry?
I want to elaborate on this point a little bit, as some people either don't quite understand or are a confused by the plot.
Read more about the relationship between Sylvie and Loki here: sylki meta
Tumblr media
"TVA is in danger"
If TVA is in danger, then literally EVERYTHING is in danger. TVA cannot be destroyed or simply abandoned, because the Multiverse will begin to self-destruct. Time Loom is overloaded with too many branches. Previously, they were simply cut off, but now everyone finally understands that this is wrong and we need to find another way.
By the way, it is very interesting that the organisation that used to destroy everything can now become the biggest defender.
Tumblr media
Loki Time Slipping to the future and saw that the situation is getting worse, there is complete Chaos in TVA, the Loom is overloaded, and the Evacuation is taking place.
They have very little time to deal with this problem. Loki is interested in this, because if this is not done, then everything, everyone will come to an end.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sylvie did not see all this and does not even imagine that such consequences could be. She had a terrible life to live and TVA was to blame. From her point of view, it was just a terrible organisation that had a dictator and he was the only one to blame for all the problems.
She killed HWR and dismissed Timeline. It's really free will, so everyone can do whatever they want, she can do whatever she wants. Has she been living on Timeline for a while and is everything okay? Yeah. Nothing terrible is happening. (The time difference from TVA makes itself felt)
Tumblr media
And then Loki appears. Their last meeting was difficult, neither of them understands why, each of them made this choice. They also have a time difference. Let me remind you that Sylvie does not know what happened at TVA and she cannot know what happened to Loki. They are both confused.
But she agrees to talk. The conversation is not going well. Sylvie concludes that Loki is worried about the TVA. This immediately creates a barrier between them because she had been hoping that the TVA was a thing of the past, that it was all behind them. However, it turns out that it's not, and this fear and threat are still present.
Loki focuses on TVA because he was pushed away. It's always easier for him to avoid a difficult topic, and the TVA problem is a real threat and he can't ignore it either.
Tumblr media
Sylvie does not back down as soon as she learns that the branches are going to be pruned. She helps and even takes the step to come to TVA. She's seen Loki and Mobius stop these Minutemens, so that gives her a little bit of confidence… BUT! It was a failure and many branches were pruned. She is very hurt by this and angry that what she fought against is coming back.
Again, she does not see the danger that Loki was about to tell her about. She has just witnessed the TVA doing what they have always done. This cannot inspire confidence or a desire to be in this place.
Tumblr media
But this situation does not give her peace of mind. So she takes another step.
I think she was following Ravonna, because she heard in the final ep2 that they were searching for her. Again, let me remind you that Sylvie does not know that Ravonna is not an ally at the moment.
When she finds Victor Timeley, she sees that Loki is going to take him to TVA. She interprets this in her own way and becomes very angry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From her point of view, the situation is as follows: Ravonna, Loki, and Mobius are working together. That is, she thinks they have a plan and want to bring He Who Remains back to TVA. She is very annoyed by this, she does not understand what is happening at all. Loki tries to explain, but using "TVA is in danger" only makes her angrier.
Let me remind you that even Loki was not happy with the idea of taking Viktor to TVA, but he understands that there is No Choice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Sylvie accuses Loki of collaborating with Ravonna, Loki looks very confused and says openly that isn`t the case. Sylvie thinks about it.
I also note the fact that none of them attack each other. Loki shields Victor because he believes that Sylvie will not harm him (Loki) - and he is right, she doesn't.
But no one will back down, so you have to get out of this situation, but she doesn't like to do it and it's clearly visible:
Tumblr media
Later, she finds everyone. She overhears their entire dialogue and finally realises that Ravonna is not an ally. Mobius also tells her that Victor needed at TVA because It`s in danger. She uses magic in time to rescue the situation.
She doesn't kill Viktor. Loki did not interfere at this point and trusted her to decide for herself. Let me remind you that a lot depends on it now, but he still makes no attempt to stop her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are the first steps towards trust and understanding of each other's actions. But it's a very good example of what happens when, instead of talking, people start to get angry or silent. This leads to complete misunderstanding and hurt.
This is a very real and live conflict. They could have avoided a lot of this if they had talked, but there are many things that get in the way, and the global threat is taking over.
They are growing, and I like that. I love watching deep stories. The characters have to have a path to reach some purpose, to learn about yourself.

Right I'm not saying Odin's not had a terrible amount of colonialism and war going on over his however-long-it's-been reign but when Thor wants to lay waste to Jotunheim and Odin tells him off for this it's not just hypocrisy at work, because the Odin of the timeframe of that movie seems sure that this would be Wrong not just politically bothersome and yet he also doesn't really explain to Thor why things are different now and putting that together what you have is this: Odin can't explain his own apparent change of heart without revealing that "oh yeah your brother's a Jotun," even though he must be fairly sure that this information would stop Thor's xenophobic bloodlust in its tracks as effectively as it did his own.

listen i dont know about you all but sylvie is literally right?????? she’s right? you want loki to rather be a god that take away people’s lives and free will even if it is for the greater good (if that is even a thing that actually exists lol)? you want them to trade one apocalypse for thousands small apocalypse forever and ever? that is not a way to live for anyone. who decided who lives and who dies? no one should have the right to do that, no one should ever bear that burden, NO ONE. That’s why loki has to made the hard choice, choosing the easy way out or choosing to do the right thing.

which DND class suits your personality?
Tumblr media
Barbarian
You’ve got a lot of Big Emotions and that’s okay. You’re driven by your instincts and you work best when you’re acting in the moment rather than getting tripped up by planning. You’re a fairly grounded person but you definitely lead with your heart more than your head. You enjoy life’s simple pleasures like good food, drink, and friends. You have a bit of a protective side, especially toward the people you’re close to.
what’s your primal path?
Tumblr media
Path of the Beast
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Beast draw their rage from a bestial spark burning within their souls. That beast bursts forth in the throes of rage, physically transforming the barbarian. You’re a strong-willed person who goes after what you want with fierce determination. You’re straightforward and genuine, not interested in pretending to be anything you’re not, which might make you come across to others as blunt or even intimidating. You feel your emotions strongly and you don’t try to hide them. You know yourself pretty well and you think it’s important to accept yourself as you are, flaws and rough edges and all.

going on a date with hazel to a pumpkin patch pls <3
going on a date with hazel and discussing about halloween costumes
intentional lowercase
"i kind of want to steal them for halloween" hazel says, eyesight in a big and very-orange pumpkin "do you know what the girls are gonna be?"
"sylvie is going with annie and they are gonna be tyler durden and narrator" you replied, hazel laughs "josie was talking about tyler the creator? but isabel wanted to do a couple costume so she probably will do whatever isabel says"
the day was sunny. the sun kissed your naked shoulders leaving some freckles. hazel was holding your hand as you both walked through the quiet field, inspecting every pumpkin that crossed her path.
last week, when you told her that you never went to a pumpkin patch she. 1. screamed 2. acussed you of lying 3. promised to take you herself
for you, it was not a big deal. it was pretty and you could find the beauty in the pumpkins and the fall color palette that habited in the place, but nothing more. otherwise, hazel was excited, making you pose in front of her phone with lots of pumpkins to send to the groupchat of the girls with the caption "her first time in a pumpkin patch!!! :)"
to which pj replied, with obvious irony: "oh wow I can't imagine a better place hazel"
"britanny is going to be jennifer from jennifer's body, and pj is still in doubt"
"we are gonna be the best costume" she says, looking at you with excitement "spiderman and gwen stacy!"
"i never agreed to that"
"but i did"
you grin, but make no protest. "which one of us is going to be spiderman?"
"me" she smile "obviously"
hazel caress your hand with your thumb and you rest your cheek in her shoulder as you walk by her side, leaving a quick kiss in her skin "can't wait to see you in the suit"
she laughs and keeps bragging about how she would be an amazing spiderman and how everyone will love her. you don't disagree. her hair looks lighter than it is under the rays of sun, the orange around reflecting in her skin.
you'd go to a million pumpkin patches if it meant seeing hazel smile.

Anticipated New Releases of 2024
**As anticipated by Me. Mostly SFF. Links are to goodreads because that's what I use, sorry. Anything marked "new to me" I haven't read anything by that author before and therefore can't vouch for the quality. I just think the premise is neat.**
Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands, Heather Fawcett (16 January)
Sequel to the charming novel about the fairy anthropologist.
Exordia, Seth Dickinson (23 January)
Well, it isn't a new Baru Cormorant, but this modern SF about first contact may be the next best thing.
City of Stardust, Georgia Summers (30 January)
New to me. A young woman descends into the underworld in order to break her family's fatal curse.
The Tainted Cup, Robert Jackson Bennett (6 February)
New to me. A sherlock holmes flavored duo solves the mystery of the murder of an imperial official in a labyrinthine fantasy realm.
What Feasts at Night, T Kingfisher (13 February)

Someone You Can Build a Nest In, John Wiswell (2 April)
New to me. Bizarre lesbian cannibalism monster romance from the point of view of the monster.
The Familiar, Leigh Bardugo (9 April)
Glad to see Bardugo writing more adult fantasy, and this one is especially exciting because it's a fantasy set in early modern Spain with a Jewish main character. Fun to see a more original historical period.
A Sweet Sting of Salt, Rose Sutherland (9 April)
New to me. Lesbian selkie romance.
Death in the Spires, KJ Charles (11 April)
Charles branching out from romance into historical Oxford murder mystery about a group of friends with dark secrets.

New to me. Space opera about an interdimensional organization. Also, there's a sentient starship.

I’ve not seen this specific topic discussed when people talk about Disco Elysium yet so I’d like to mention it cause I think it’s so so so cool.
So Harry ripped the shit out of that poor poor Skua right? Garte thinks Sylvie did it because she was angry at him but that’s not the case at all, Harry was just super fucked up and took his mad anger rage out on that little taxidermy’d bird.
This detail is largely irrelevant to most things, merely showing how much of a roiling mass of sadness Harry was before we met him (and giving Garte another reason to be sad).
But dear reader, what if I told you it could have far reaching symbolic significance. Let me explain.
Joyce says:
Tumblr media
“Proof of reality”, and our little Harrier in an attempt to destroy his being and erase himself from reality, brutally breaks the insulinde’s symbol of that proof right before losing himself in a sea of neurotoxin, forgetting all that ties him here.
Is that anything? Idk, I just think it could be cool
It’s also a symbol of hope and stuff, Harry’s hope being destroyed (he himself killing the bird symbolising hope and new beginnings)
Tumblr media
BUT through the progress of the game we can repair that hope in a new way, not by easily fixing the old Skua, but by finding a new bird, the Ruffled Grouse. A different sort of hope for a different sort of Harry. A New New New New start for him, if you will. Proof that Harry can change and feel bad about the awful things he has done/ does, isn’t that nice?
It’s also a symbol of the advent of Dolorianism which is also fun to draw parallels to. 51’ is a shit time to be living in Revachol, so maybe it’s time to shake things up a bit get ‘Le Retour’ going and do away with Dolorianism, usher in a new age by stamping on the old imperial one, let’s hope Harry’s an Innocence or something. (and hopefully a Harry that is now removed from Delores and hopefully on a path of truly moving on from her, like Jesus SIX YEARS dude)
That’s all I wanted to say, I’m sure other people have said similar things about this, I just think it’s nice to draw parallels between things in this subtext rich game.

The Face Sitter: Part 2 (Bob Floyd x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: The saga of yours and Bob's Florida Fuckfest continues
Warnings: SMUT (NO MINORS ALLOWED)
Tagging: @floydsmuse and @attapullman another little piece for Bob Fucks my dears, I leave this in your hands (lol). And also @sylviebell, Sylvie m'dear I may or may not have a Natasha fic coming your way soon (lol)
You and Bob couldn't have been happier down on that little island in the Keys, enjoying the sunshine and finally able to relax. No work, no bullshit and not a care in the world. The rest of the Daggers were more than happy to housesit for the both of you and luckily your assistant classroom teacher offered to take over for your fifth graders, leaving her all the main lesson plans, painting lessons, handwork and other projects and had even let her pick the new chalkboard drawing for when your new main lesson block started.
You and Bob had enjoyed plenty of drinks and delicious seafood at a little place called Hog Heaven Sports Bar, sitting outside at the bar over the pier and watching the ocean roll by. Everything had gone smoothly, but there was a sense of urgency in Bob as you two walked home to your little beach cottage.
"Bob what is with you?" you chuckled.
"Want you tonight sweetheart," he mumbled, pressing his lips against your cheek.
Your whole body buzzed when he kissed you, unable to control it as it went down into your legs. The sense of urgency grew in you as well, the both of you tugging at each other as you walked up the path to the house.
You were barely through the front door before his lips landed on yours, the two of you grabbing and pulling at each other as your kissing became more heated.
"Want you to.......mmmf.......fuck......." Bob mumbled in between kisses. "Want you to sit on my face again."
You laughed a little, gladly pulling him into the bedroom, the two of you falling right to the bed. Bob shinnied his way up so that his head could rest on the pillow, removing his glasses and setting them on the bedstand.
"C'mere sweetpea," he coaxed. "C'mon, there we go.......good girl......my queen, your throne awaits."
You laughed as you lowered yourself onto his face, gripping the headboard to keep your weight from smothering him. You felt goosebumps forming on your skin as his tongue started to form soft little circles inside your puss and Bob's arms hooked themselves around your thighs.
"Oh honey," he groaned. "Want you to cum right on my face.......make me a sweaty mess."
Bob nuzzled into your pussy, eliciting a moan from your throat. You couldn't get over how gentle he was with your sensitive little puss, marking every little nerve and bit of exposed skin with his tongue. Your hips rocked against his face, your breathing growing more rapid as you felt his own blooming between your legs.
You both came with each other with Bob's face once again coated in a sheen of your own slickness. His groans were the sweetest music you had ever heard as he poked his head halfway out from between your legs.
"Baby thank you," he chuckled. You couldn't see his cheeky little grin but you could certainly feel him smiling against your pussy.
You moved yourself off his face before he kissed your cheek, a little embarrassed that he was still coated in your wetness. Ever the king of aftercare, Bob ran a hot bath until it was steaming, taking all the houseplants he could find and making the bathroom look like a jungle pool.
"You didn't have to do this you know," you chuckled, squirting a little bit of the pineapple scented bodywash onto a washcloth.
"Baby when it comes to aftercare, spare no expense," Bob answered.
And neither of you did, relaxing in that bathtub and exploring each other's bodies. Bob giggled a little as your fingertip brushed over his sensitive nips, the two of you perfectly relaxed and content with the world.

A Glorious Culmination
Let's talk about that perfect ending with its beautiful scenes and epic soundtrack, shall we? Here's all the reasons why I loved it:
The ending answered the question "what makes a Loki, Loki?"
"Authority, independence, style". Sure, but that's not all of it. And it's not the real answer.
So who is Loki? A villain? A loser? What defines Loki?
There are many characteristics that define Loki but one of the main ones that truly sets him apart imo is that he is a catalyst for change. Loki when faced with options he doesn't like, or a problem that looks like doesn't have a solution, makes a new way, creates a new solution, chooses an option that didn't exist before.
He has the power to destroy, like the mythological tale of Ragnarok.
Tumblr media
And to give life. Like how the Ragnarok he brings, means the beginning of a new cycle in Norse mythology.
Tumblr media
-"Yeah it was the best character development. Loki went from wanting a throne to..."
Let me stop you there.
Tumblr media
Loki went from not wanting a throne but thinking he must have it to be considered worthy and an equal to Thor, to taking a throne despite not wanting it, because it was the right thing to do.
The fact that Loki sacrificed himself once again for the people he loved and cared about, wasn't a new character development. In the movies Loki risks and sacrifices himself every time when it matters. For Thor, for Asgard, for the world. The only development here was that this time he sacrificed himself for every universe there is.
And his sacrifice wasn't treated as sth he deserved by the narrative because of every terrible things he'd done. On the contrary the narrative acknowledges that this is the last thing Loki deserves. That he is paying for others' mistakes and wrongs. He spends centuries to save the timelines. He spends a long time trying to stop Sylvie without harming her. And when everything seems lost, he makes a decision to save everyone but himself, he creates a different path. He faces his deepest fear, to not hurt the people he loves.
If there is any character development, it's for the narrative and the audience that finally recognized who Loki actually is.
The Symbolism
I have to say my first reaction to the new Loki costume was:" This is the worst Loki costume ever :))))" also me two days later: "I'm gonna set it as my wallpaper." But I loved the symbolism. The biggest horns Loki's ever worn to show the weight of the crown. His cape that was connected to timelines, to show the burden of a throne. The simplicity in his clothes in contrast with his other outfits. Because this wasn't about the recognition Loki always wanted and deserved. This was about the responsibility Loki decided to literally put on his shoulders and feeling the gravity of it.
His shoes though :)))) I mean
Tumblr media
Either let him be bare footed or give him boots you cowards :D
The Parallels
The fact that how the ending parallels the first Thor movie and everything came back full circle.
How Thor and Loki destroyed sth at the cost of themselves losing the people they cared about.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Loki doing sth not because of a desperation for acceptance, not because he thought it was sth someone else wanted.
Knowing if he chose the easier way, no one could have fault him for it because it seemed there was no other way.
He did it because he knew it was the right thing to do, because he knew who he wanted to be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Loki not giving up, not letting go, not falling down from a broken bridge, but ascending, holding on as he fixes what's broken.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He holds and carries the whole universe on his back. It's not only a beautiful Atlassian tragedy, but also parallels Norse mythology in more than one way. Yggdrasil, the tree of life in Norse mythology, the one that Loki holds in his hands in the finale, wasn't the only parallel in the ending.
Tumblr media
There's a subtle and beautiful nod to Norse mythology. The tale of Loki being bound till Ragnarok. The myth that says when Loki gets freed, the end of the world begins.
Tumblr media
What a marvelous tragedy. And what a glorious culmination.
It's not all tragic though
Loki now is literally the most powerful and heroic character in MCU. He's holding the universe in his hands and keeping it alive. You can't top that.
And it makes his portrayal in the recent movies in which he was unfairly underpowered, even more ridiculous than before and that makes me happy :D
There is also a possibility to see Loki again and I'm not talking about the other variants. Marvel now has the best dues ex machina through Loki. He might be able to appear in any universe as an illusion to warn about dangers or help the characters. He might figure out a way to keep the tree alive without being there himself. That way he can find Thor in the sacred timeline. Or maybe the Loki who survived Thanos and is still in the sacred timeline finds Thor. Maybe there's still hope for a good reconciliation and a good story for Asgardian siblings.
So to sump up this was an epic, symbolic, beautiful and tragic ending. And yet hopeful. I loved it💚

Thinking about the colors of Loki. Brown is definitely meant to be Mobius' color. It symbolizes reliability, warmth, and earthiness. And that earthiness? It meshes very with the positive aspects of Loki's green (growth, life, nature, harmony, fertility). So, it makes sense that when Loki and Mobius are their best selves, there's this harmonious and almost symbiotic growth that happens, not unlike the symbiosis between plants and the earth they take their nutrients from, earth which has, in turn, been fertilized by other plants.
Of course, the negative part of that is the potential for codependency - you introduce some poison to the soil and it infects the plant and vise versa. Imo, we see that a bit with the torture scene. That scene was great if you're a Loki enjoyer/apologist because, hey, turns out his partner is not only ok with the darker aspects of Loki's personality, he also maybe has some of them himself. However, it also showed us that both Loki and Mobius can do terrible things and be ok with them as long as the other agrees it's a good idea. When Loki and Mobius are working for good, they're great. But if they went bad together, things could get very dark very quickly. I think we also see that a bit in their last scene together, with Loki purposefully choosing a Mobius who is still pruning variants when he wants his blessing to kill Sylvie (who represents a part of Loki).
(Notably, though, with Sylvie's inspiration, Loki is able to choose a different path, and to grow in a way that gives Mobius the chance to grow as well, their positive symbiotic relationship intact - I particularly love that it's past Loki who inspires present Loki's heroism).
It's why I really liked the idea of Mobius, Loki, and Sylvie running the TVA together because Loki and Mobius need that voice outside their little couple bubble to say "hey, guys, this is a terrible idea." Ironically, when Loki and Mobius aren't together, they each tend to be the person in conflict with the systems around them. But they don't like to truly be in conflict with each other (the bickering is almost never serious), so they're each very accommodating of the other and his needs, which is great until...torture.
Anyway, to bring it back, I've always thought that green is a really great color for Loki specifically because it has a very strong duality of psychological meaning. Additionally, its darker meanings (jealousy, envy, materialism) are as well represented in popular culture as its positive ones. Brown has a similar clear duality, though its positive aspects aren't necessarily as easily recognized as its negatives. Which is very like Mobius himself.

ok, I'm back with a fresh episode of "Queerbaiting Continues" (subscribe and follow for more)
so, to clear up that i get it right - what we're getting from Loki2 so far is this: creators are actively setting up Loki and Mobius (while still not confirming them to be canon) and not even trying to actually set up Loki with Sylvie (and not addressing the kiss even once throughout all four episodes).
okay then, I'm having some thoughts.
so i see everyone in the fandom analysing how well Loki understands Mobius' coping mechanisms earlier in the season that he decides to offer him some pie after Mobius had been in lots of stress. and that it's exactly what Mobius wants to do now, before Sylvie guts him and walks away with Loki following her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but what i don't see enough (maybe it's just me idk) is the analysis of the "pie land" dialogue between Loki and Sylvie in ep.4
so right away Loki starts defending Mobius explaining that just because he's not acting insane like Sylvie does (like Loki did in the past) that doesn't mean he doesn't care. and he also points out that Sylvie is here not because she shares Loki's beliefs, but only because her plan failed.
but after that.. this is where the scene goes INSANE in my humble opinion: Loki turns the moral of the whole first "Thor" movie and "the main hero's journey to become the best versoin of himself" into huge metaphor of his own growth. growth that he achieved through the first season and continues on going that path. so what was that then, the thing that helped Thor to change so much? the thing that turned him from insufferable, angry, revengeful, arrogant child whose first impulse is to destroy anything that causes some kind of inconvenience?
love.
it was falling in love with Jane that made Thor revalue his morals and his behavior. and now Loki is standing before Sylvie telling her that not long time ago he mocked his brother for his "softness" thinking it to be a weakness. but now Loki understands Thor. so what is he saying with this? who was this person for Loki, that made him change and understand his brother? understand that the lack of desire to destroy is actually not a weakness. who was that?
Mobius.
it was Mobius that made him better as a person.
so, at this point, friends, i actually don't know what to think. because it's not even a classic example of queerbaiting anymore. that one was hidden very deeply under the surface and was caused by the state of the industry, which simply did not have the niche for the queer media and was profoundly scared to lose it's homophobic audience because they thought that it was practically not possible to make money on queer audience. this is not the case now. it looks a lot like creators do know what they're doing writing scenes like this one, which honestly makes it even worse than if they were simply oblivious.

I’ve heard so much criticism about how Loki should’ve been the one to kill He Who Remains instead of Sylvie- because he deserved to be the one the free the timeline, because he deserved to represent chaos but instead ended up representing order, because having him side with a dictator was ooc, etc.
But I would just like to point out that it’s established now that HWR wanted them to kill him. That was literally part of his predetermined plan to reincarnate and stay in power. By doing so, Sylvie continued to follow right down the path he paved for her. She wasn’t being a rebellious hero, she was being a pawn.
Loki saw through the manipulation- he immediately smelled something fishy and refused to just mindlessly go along with it. And if Sylvie had listened to him and just took a minute to talk about it, Loki would’ve tried to come up with some other third option. Because that’s what Loki does- thinks outside the box, finds work-arounds, figures out clever ways to rebel against the status quo.
In that scene, Loki was the one refusing to play the part HWR wrote for him, and sylvie was the one being a perfect little cog in the machine. Despite the fact that he was actively being the voice of reason while she was being erratic and reckless… narratively speaking, he was chaos and she was order. It irritates me that people missed that.

The last thing he wanted was a throne he knew all too well that he was unfit to sit upon nor wear a crown that would slip and fall from his head from even the slightest of movement.
He once wouldn’t have even cared whether he was adored or hated, feared or respected; just as long as he had everyone’s attention along with their undying fidelity that was all but enough to solidify his rule. He wouldn’t have cared if he had thousands of followers or just the dedicated one.
Now as the snake sheds the skin of his old life and starts anew with Mobius, O.B, Sylvie, B-15, Casey and yourself, striving towards a better path but for a Loki of any variation; fate was never kind nor forgiving towards their trespasses. Loki guessed the punishment suited the crime, but Loki actively chose this burden of his, this burden he now has to carry and see it through till the very end out of the newfound selflessness of his heart.
However with his glorious purpose obtained, whilst not the one his younger self would’ve wanted, Loki sat alone upon his throne; watching. Watching over his friends, watching over you and sitting with the agonising ache within his heart at the promises he would never get to keep nor speak into existence against your lips during the early mornings anymore.
Loki never once took into account of how privileged he was to hear the sound of your laughter, to see your beaming smile as crows feet formed at the corners of your eyes, to feel your warmth encase him within a safety blanket of your love and adoration for him. Once upon a time he would’ve hated the thought of being viewed as weak, but soon into a man who didn’t know his own worth without those whom loved him dearly by his side.
He knew what he needed to do long ago, he knew the god he needed to be for everyone who shone a light in his life and Loki knew he couldn’t live a life of regrets, but one of the biggest ones was that he’d never got the chance to speak upon his gratitude to you, Mobius and everyone else but the second biggest regret Loki had was never getting to say goodbye, to say all he wanted.
Now all he could do was watch over you and make sure you’d never go a day where you’d have to frown nor cry because you deserved to be happy, even if he wasn’t there to provide it physically, he’d find another way to do so.
