just a few more days until christmas! i hope everyone’s feeling the holiday spirit despite being stuck indoors. ❣︎

this was my desk setup in studying for my first term finals and i’m so relieved it’s finally over, i think i did pretty good and that makes me happy! i especially love having photos of my friends and family hung up for motivation. ☺︎︎♡︎

i still don’t have a fixed theme for my posts, hehe sorry about that.

Opportunity for Girls Interested in STEAM!

Hi everyone! I’m a writer for a nonprofit organization called Girl Genius (@girlgeniusmag on insta!). GG strives to create an inclusive community where girls of all backgrounds in STEAM (non-binary and trans-inclusive) are given a voice to empower the next generation of female change makers! I wanted to share an upcoming event with you all!

On July 5, 2020, Girl Genius is launching their first online conference (it’s completely free to participate!). There will be many panels and workshops! There are also prizes (ex. Kankens, bullet journal supplies, speakers, hydroflasks) being raffled off!

The panels and workshops include:

• Women in STEAM

• College Application Panel

• Pre-med Panel

• Getting Research Internahips In High School 101 Workshop

• Intro to Animaltion Workshop

• Breaking into Tech Workshop (Vercel x Girl Genius)

• AR/VR Workshop

You do not have to stay for the entire conference, you can just attend the panels/workshops you are interested in! Once you register, you will get an email a day before the event begins!

Anyway, I thought I would answer some random questions for my second post so you can get to know me a bit more:

Academic interests? Medicine; Science

Hobbies? Sport (tennis, karate, running); Baking

Why did I start this studyblr? My A Level exams were cancelled due to the whole Covid thing. I have spent the majority of the last few months watching netflix in bed and I guess I’ve finally had enough. I really miss studying so I thought I’d blog about it lol (yes I am kinda a nerd).

Star sign? Taurus

Bio, chem or physics? Chemistry all the way! (organic is the best - fight me)

Proudest achievement? Black belt in karate

Deepest regret? Don’t want to talk about it ha ha

i don’t particularly like this spread, to be honest, i just wanted to take pictures of the creamy cinnamon buns before i ate them HAHA. also, i found that mini canvas & easel lying around and i’m hoping to paint something on it soon! any suggestions?

sunday: Where would you rather be from?

this is the easiest question yet — Japan or Korea definitely! i’m just so in love with their weather, people, culture and everything about the place. i visited Japan twice now and Korea once, and both times were just an unforgettable experience! nevertheless, i am happy to be from the ph ♡ but i also wouldn’t mind being in new zealand right now tbh.
