Bev & Mike: *Eating Oreos*
Mike: Oh, fuck, these are so good
Bev *mouth full*: So good
Mike: And look at the intricate carvings
Bev: Yeah..
Bev *inspecting the Oreo*: Yeah, is this some Illuminati shit?
Mike: That’s what I’ve heard! Like, if you can decipher what’s on an Oreo, you can know the mind of God
Bev: I heard no two Oreos are alike
Mike: Hey. What a great conversation

The five of you parted ways—for better or worse. Is there a choice for you anyway? This is unanimous from everyone. So, you decide to follow the most logical choice: complete the mission as you are instructed, instead of seeking distractions with time you can’t afford to lose.
Leon and Carlos bid the three of you farewell, venturing underground to locate the source of a gas that may or may not be a distraction or an ambush. You, Jill, and Ada will continue upstairs to infiltrate Glenn Arias’ personal office, retrieving the concentrated sample with utmost priority, and regroup with the rest before Arias has a chance to discover his merchandise has gone missing.
The plan is perfect, what’s there to be worried about?
“Our intel says Arias’ office should be on the top floor. The coordinates are on your watch. Proceed with caution, everyone.” Rebecca calls out into your earpiece. Twisting your elbow, you glimpse at your watch. It blinks with your location in green, and destination in red, two floors above you.
“Copy.” You and Jill acknowledge Rebecca, but Ada ignores, simply hiking forward with her pistol leading the way.
“She must be fun at parties.” Jill snorts, following behind her.
This is the first time Jill talks after splitting up with the boys. And even then, she only ever converses with you, and never to Ada. They have almost nothing in common between them, besides their stubborn attitude that only butts at each other’s heads. If you aren’t around, there will only be an air of dead silence between the duo.
But these two are your friends, and you like them both for different reasons.
You recall a past memory between you. “She’s not usually like this outside of missions. We went to a bar one time, and Ada got me free drinks all night. Poor suckers, she swindled them all.”
“Just the two of you?”
“No, it was an afterparty. Rebecca was there. I think you had to stay back for work that day. Why?”
Your eyes meet Jill in confusion, and they quickly dart away. Jill clears her throat to speak again. “So you and Ada are close, huh?”
“I think so,” Jill’s face hints a bit of disappointment, but she tries to force her lips to upturn into a nonchalant smile. You don’t notice this and continue talking: “But not exactly. She saved me a few times, so I’m grateful for her. But I wouldn’t call us friends.”
“And that’s all?”
You wonder where all of this is coming from. Didn’t take her for the kind who enjoys bars and loud spaces anyway. Spending time with Jill is usually just the two of you watching TV, laughing at the over-the-top reality drama from the comfort of the couch, cuddling up right next to each other like a couple of platonic best friends. Before you can speak, you feel a presence in front of you, standing in your way. You pause quickly at the last minute, almost colliding into the figure. Ada. She only looks at Jill when she’s talking.
“You two lovebirds done? Stay alert.” Ada deadpans with no intention of being friendly and warming. “Don’t hold me down.”
“Take care of your shit and I’ll take care of mine.” There’s bitterness in Jill’s voice, and Ada ignores her because your watch is beeping. The green and red dots overlap each other. You’re here.
You put your game face on. You land yourself on the other side of the wooden door to Arias’ office, while Jill and Ada have their backs against the wall closest to the door knob. Ada signals, counting down from three, and then finally kicks down the door. The three of you rush in, guns aimed forward in order to take down any security patrolling the perimeters.
“Huh?” You raise an eyebrow. You lower your gun when realisation sets in that you are indeed in an empty room.
You recognise this dark wood flooring. It adorns proudly, and even more repetitively, throughout the mansion. This room is no different. The desk, cabinetry and shelves are crafted with the same sinister timber that weighs down Arias’ office. Rows of portraits from Arias’ ancestors stare down at you with hollow beady eyes. A tall window, slightly ajar, to let in the cold nocturne wind. No mould.
This room had been cared for—dusted, cleaned, and prepared. Papers spread across the table, fresh ink, even the nameplate is polished into a shimmer. Arias frequents here, either for work—or for other sorts of shady businesses.
Ada immediately gets to work, and she finds a painting with a secret hinge to the side. It opens into a safe with two rotary dials. The sample is so close now, so close to your reach.
“I’ll check for any other clues that may help us.” Jill declares, and she’s flipping through papers on the desk for any information she can send to Rebecca.
But your eyes are still fixed upon Ada with her back facing you. Not leaving her even for just a second. Ada might have saved you a few times, but the amount of times she betrayed you is far greater. A memory sticks out from a conversation in the saferoom when Leon pulls you aside:
“Be careful. Something is very wrong about this place. I don’t know what it is yet…” His words hold weight and sincerity as he speaks. “And about Ada… I don’t trust her. You shouldn’t too. Don’t make the same mistake as I did.” Then Leon loosens the grasp on your arm, and reluctantly lets go…
You refocus, keeping your eyes peeled on Ada, before noticing how beautiful her hands are. How they pinch the dial with ease and precision, almost gliding as she hears the very faint click inside the clockwork of the safe. Her nails are short, painted dearly with scarlet red polish, palms so silky that they almost glisten lightly under the moonlight. You didn’t know the hands of a mercenary can be so pretty, unlike yours, calloused and scabs healed over.
“Are you done watching me?” Ada is still listening to the safe, but she knows you’re looking.
“Huh? I wasn’t—” Your cheeks redden from being caught.
“You think I’m as dense as that rookie? I see you guys talking. Did Leon tell you to watch over me?” Oh. She must be talking about Leon’s warnings in the safe room.
“It… wasn’t about you.” You hesitate and fiddle with your thumb. You are not a great liar, not by far.
“Just tell me.”
Ada turns around to look at you now, telling of how much she knows you. And it’s definitely well enough to see through your lies like translucent paper. Your words tumble under pressure: “He’s just concerned. Told me to keep an eye out.”
Ada scoffs; she’s turning the dial a bit more aggressively this time. “Of course he did. Predictable. The rookie thinks I’m out to get him every single time.” There’s another sigh of exhaustion.
“Well, isn’t that what you did?”
“That’s besides the point. It’s his fault for getting in my way.” Ada clears her throat. “Rest assured, I’ve been compensated well for this job, so you’re safe.”
“For now. I’m not taking my eyes off you.”
“Didn’t take you for the kind to let others tell you what to do.”
You clamp your lips shut. She’s right, and you know it. Your brain racks within itself for a comeback to defend your integrity, and realising instead: Why are you trying so hard to prove yourself to Ada?
Ada is challenging you for sure. Or entertained by you. You can’t tell the difference with her teasing grin that could be either, or both. Are your eyes fooling you, or does Ada seem more... relaxed? Her demeanour is drastically different from when you were in the saferoom, or when you were speaking to Jill. If you didn't know better, you swear Ada actually enjoys your company, maybe even a little bit more than friends.
The safe beeps, signal flashes green, and the hinge loosens to an open. The two of you peek inside. There’s a gold bar. A stack of paper (letters?) bound by a delicate string. But beyond that, nothing.
You hear rustling in the background. Papers falling to the floor. You turn around to see Jill frozen.
“We got the safe open. Did you find anything?”
Jill’s eyes are far off, fixed upon a particular spot. You look towards the direction of her glance, and beyond the window, it overlooks the mansion’s luxurious home garden, overgrown with weeds and wilt. Behind that, a bench and what appears to be either a figure or the trick of a light. It’s too dark to tell.
“Jill.” Ada repeats, slightly raised eyebrows indicating suspicion. Jill returns from her far off location, and sees the two of you in front of her.
“You okay?” You ask, wanting to put your hand on her shoulder. She shrugs you off.
“I’m fine.” Jill’s fist is holding some paper, and she scrunches it to hide it in her back pocket. “Nothing useful. Just old accounts… and stuff. You know.” Ada is watching. Jill changes the topic fast.
“But look what I've found in the drawers.” Jill removes a box from inside the drawer and opens it. It contains a bunch of oddly shaped devices, attached by a belt or some sort.
“Are those what I think they are...?” You question, not quite sure what to make of it just yet.
“In every colour too.” Ada says. “Seems like a 'hobby' of Arias'.”
“Maybe Arias had been using this toy in this room.” Jill snickers, pulling one of them out by the belt, and the girth of the black shaft is thick and erected.
“Jill, stop playing with it.” Your face looks visually disturbed. “Oh my god, my pure and innocent mind...”
“Don't tell me you've never used one of these before?” Ada is grinning, as if you just asked a silly question.
“And you have?”
“Who hasn't?” Jill laughs too. Meanwhile, you are still standing, a look of confusion in your eyes. They look at you, and look between themselves, a synchronous 'oh' left their mouths at the same time. You are still confused.
“Don't worry about it. So what do you guys got there?”
You pick up the stack, and read aloud the first sheet that is addressed to someone.
Dear Sarah, The world had been too cruel to us, separating us from each other far too suddenly, far too soon. Our lives were only just beginning, and fate had to take you away from me. We should’ve had so much more time. And we will. Don’t worry, Sarah, all of this is only temporary. I took your wedding dress to the dry cleaners and safekept it for your return. I still remember how beautiful you looked in that dress walking down the aisle. Yours forever, Glenn
You bring the sheet back to read the next letter.
Dear Sarah, My research was successful. I did it, Sarah, I DID IT!! I can finally bring you home, my love. Didn’t we always said we wanted a child? You told me underneath the moonlight you want to name our daughter Renee. And now, we can finally have them. We can finally be together. Things are in order to make this happen. Me, you, and Renee, for eternity. I’m so excited I’ve painted Renee’s nursery in your favourite colour, green. So much work to do, I’ll write to you again soon, Sarah. You won’t have to wait any longer. Yours forever, Glenn
“Is this Arias’ wife? What do you mean ‘bringing her back’?” Your whole body shudders at the thought.
“She’s dead. One of the many innocents that died in the wedding.” Jill almost punches the wall. “It should’ve been him.”
“He’s trying to revive her? …And have children with the dead?”
“What kind of fucked up shit is he planning?” Jill is shocked, grossed, disgusted all at once on her face.
Meanwhile, Ada, calm and unreactive as ever, is rummaging through the safe again. “No sign of the sample—” Ada confirms, and she withdraws her hand holding a gold bar to transfer it into her gear’s pocket. “—another dead end.”
“Did you just steal something?” Jill is in disbelief.
“Mind your business.” Ada shoots back a glare at her.
“There’s something really fucked up going on in this mansion, and this is how you act? Have some sympathy for the dead, would ya?”
“It’s been dead for a while. Doesn’t matter what we do or what we say, they can’t hear it. All we can do is focus on the present.”
“Why you—” Jill stops midway, like she accidentally swallowed back her words down the wrong hole. Her head is throbbing, heart racing, body attacking her from all sides within. Her throat is closing up, and for a second, Jill can’t breathe. She falls; collapsing onto the table with a loud thump, barely supporting herself with her elbow. Jill coughs; there’s blood.
“Jill! Are you okay?” You cry out, running to her aid, your arm rounding across Jill’s shoulders. It feels cold. Dry. Like you’re touching the furless coat of a dead animal with no warmth left in them.
“I… nnh, I’m fine.” Her voice is straining, but there’s some breathing at least.
“Don’t be stubborn. The colour on your face is gone.” You dip your hand onto Jill’s forehead. The cold sensation fades, and now it’s warm to the touch again, burning like a fever. You question yourself whether the coldness before was an illusion. Bringing your arms around her, you reach to your earpiece. “I’m calling Rebecca.”
“No. Don’t.” She coughs even harder with her weight leaning against you; she’s turning frailer and frailer by the minute. “I’ll be fine. We need to s-stop Arias.”
That is when you hear a click, cold metallic surface pressing against the fabric of Jill’s back. The safety’s off.
“Ada?” Your voice escapes like a pleading squeal, a forced laugh through hopeful desperation that it’s all a prank, that Ada isn’t going to hurt and betray you, just like all the other times. “…What’s up with you?”
“Jill. Get off. Now.” Ada raises her volume to a stern demand, and this time, you know she’s definitely not joking. Jill ought to do as she says soon, or else both of you may catch the bullet with a press of Ada’s finger.
“Ada—” Your voice shrivels into a pitiful whisper. Betrayal again? After everything?
“Jill’s infected. Face it. Thought it was weird why you’re acting funny. The virus is in your body as we speak.” Ada points her gun at Jill.
“Wha—What’re you talking about?” Jill’s face turns white. She coughs once more, hard. There’s blood all over her hand and on the corner of her lips.
“Ada. We need to take her to the hospital now.”
“Does she look okay to you? I’m not going to save your ass again. So get out when I tell you to.” Ada’s finger is firm on the trigger. Determined.
Jill scoffs. “This again? So you’re working for Wesker? You’re trying to take us out one by one. It’s not gonna work.” With a weak grip, Jill grabs her pistol with her remaining energy to aim right back at Ada. Ada doesn’t shoot. She should’ve, but she can’t.
Ada’s guard is up again. “Believe what you want. If you’d like to die today, be my guest. I won’t hesitate to shoot.” She flicks her wrist, demanding you to move aside. “This is your last chance.”
“Ada, please listen! She wasn’t bit. We were together the entire time. You were there too, Ada! She can’t be infected. She can’t be—” You yell in distress, but your sentence trails off into a mumble.
“The gas. The gas has something to do with it.” Ada says.
“Won’t the two of us be sick too?” You say.
Ada’s eyes glare harshly against the two of you, but you can see her thinking, the cogwheels in her brain processing the facts, and her speculation wavers. There’s pity behind the cold blooded glint. Sympathy. Ada’s pistol lowers—
And that was the mistake that costs their lives. Jill turns, roundhouse kicking the pistol off Ada’s hand in her moment of vulnerability. The gun falls, crashing against the rug far from reach. Ada is already reacting, drawing her TMP out but Jill moves faster. Too steadfast. Too superhuman. She tackles Ada to the ground, hands steady against her neck.
Jill’s gaze is obscured by flames, something blinding and controlling from something within her veins and arteries. Despite looking directly at Ada, she can’t see, nor can she distinguish friend or foe. Her hand tightens around Ada’s windpipe, leaving her grasping for air.
You pull up your rifle in a panic frenzy, unloading your round onto Jill. But she does not flinch, does not even look your way. There’s a dent in her skin where your shots land, but there’s no blood. “Goddamit, what the fuck, Jill! What is wrong with you?”
But Jill can’t hear you. Only the crackle of flame and roar of wildfire burning and reverberating through her head. Echoing twice and thrice over. Ada is grunting soundless moans, still attempting at escape with how she continues to fumble for the TMP on her waist belt. Then, Jill steps on Ada’s hand with sheer force and unnatural strength, crushing the smooth palm with the sole of her feet, twisting it until all the delicate bones become unrecoverable. And all hope was lost again.
Jill sinks her teeth into Ada’s neck, not with much mercy either. There is a sound of flesh torn, a blood crying scream to taint the air. The blood velvet rug paints a deeper red and Jill releases. Ada flops to the floor, paralysed, but not deadly enough for a fatality. Her beautiful skin, once full of vigour and charm, stained red with her own blood, the veins around turning deeper purple thriving like tree roots across the earth.
You look at Jill—and she’s smiling. It’s not the slight curve of her lips you’re used to when you tell her that her haircut is nice. Or the reluctant embarrassed grin she has when you thank her for standing up for you. This was something else.
This was something from hell.
She’s no longer the Jill you know. ‘Jill’ turns around to meet you in the eye. You back away, rifle aiming forwards despite knowing it’s all fruitless. Your hands shudder from within, none of your shots will hit even if you try. But you had no choice. You have to try even if it’s fruitless. Then you aim at Jill directly on the head. It’s harder than it looks, killing your best friend, even if they are a zombie.
It misses and lands on her shoulder instead. There’s a notable grimace on Jill’s face as she flies to catch the bullet from within her shoulder. She flicks the bullet away and her grin spreads widely, and she chuckles a sinister giggle. “That hurts, you know…”
“Jill?” These BOWs aren’t supposed to speak. They should be monsters. This is your first time meeting one of these too, and you did not expect them to be one of your closest friends. You should be careful. If they can speak, do they have the intelligence to manipulate you too?
“What’s wrong, kitty?”
“Fuck you.” You grit your teeth. “I’m not turning into one of you.”
She merely laughs. “Admit it. You think this is hot.”
“Fuck off.” You have Jill’s eyes locked, other hand inching closer and closer to your back pocket, reaching for the radio. But it was no use. A hand—bloodied and broken—grabs you by your wrist, twisting it behind you forcefully. You wince. Ada is right behind you, her eyes looking into yours with the same blank stare Jill has. She’s turned. And so quick too?
“Our darling, can’t seem to stay put? I think it needs punishment.” Ada’s breath is blowing against your neck. You shiver.
“Oh… like what kind?” Jill’s eyebrows are raised and intrigued.
Jill answers the question herself by unsheathing her pocket knife. You swallow hard as she takes each purposeful step towards you, savouring in your fear. Your wrists struggle against Ada’s grip, which she responds by tightening it further that your bones are almost breaking from her touch.
“It’ll hurt more if you resist.” Jill drawls out her words, licking the surface of the knife. She brings her knife forward, laying the flat edge of the knife against your cheek, drawing a little blood at first, then a bit more droplets gather onto the knife. She slurps on it, licking the crimson nectar clean off her knife. “Just relax, kitty. It’s us. Jill and Ada. Your teammates.”
“We won’t hurt you, darling. You can trust us.”
For a moment, through the hazy blink of a spell, you see your friends. Ada, mysterious yet always saving you during trouble. Jill, indifferent yet is always the first to defend you. They’re absolutely right. These are your friends. They mean so much to you, and you’ve just realised that now. You’ll do anything for them.
You let your body relax, your eyes stare into Jill, then Ada, then back at Jill again. She caresses your cheeks in her palm, bringing your face closer to hers with lips that only want to close the distance, and you close your-
Wait! No. Stop this! This isn’t right!
-eyes, before your lips crash together in a series of tingles. Jill deepens the kiss, her tongue prying between the seams of your lips, meeting your own tongue in the middle. You still taste a bit of blood, but that doesn’t deter you from returning the kiss. Jill licks your lips once more before finally parting with a heaved gasp. You slowly open your eyes, before another pair of familiar lips comes colliding back on yours and you’re nudged to close them again. This is Ada’s lips, rounder, thicker, with an unexpected forwardness. She nibbles on your lips, demanding, making room between the gaps of your lips, and kiss you just as passionately as Jill did.
Between kisses, a button pops off. Then another. You help each other out of your fabrics. Earpieces removed, abandoned by the floor. Jill strips off Ada’s dress and bra, and you help Jill out of her skinny jeans. A paper scrunches up from her back pocket. It’s been torn by hand, scribbled a note on lined paper where the words are either smudged or peeled off. Only one word is still faintly visible.
[ WATER ]
What could it mean?
You spend no time to ponder with Jill pulling you back into the present. Your naked torsos flush against each other as the duo fight for another taste of your lips. They catch your breath, one after another, with no intention of letting you out of their sight. Jill brings her hand around you, her fingers are already sending-
I need to get out of here! I need to warn-
-a violent fizz through your body, and Ada helps you fall to your legs onto the velvet rug underneath you. All the whilst your lips are trapped in Jill’s, and so is your body.
“That’s it… Be our good little darling.” Ada slips right behind you, letting your relaxed body lean against her, then running a hand up your torso with the friction of her latex gloves, before settling against your neck in a firm grip.
“We’ll take care of you, kitty.” Jill whispers into your ear, and you can’t hear any malicious intent. Jill and Ada aren’t hurting you, some part of you is very sure about this.
Then you hear something. A faint sound in your mind, a warning, a scream from far away. It’s telling you to run, run so far and fast before it’s too late. “Nnh… I…” It rings in your ear like a constant drum, forcing you for a response. But why? You feel so good right now…
“Stay with us, darling.” Ada coos, moving downwards to kiss along the strip of your neck. She’s gentle, enchanting you in her lovingness. The voice grows fainter, like a distant chatter that fades into the background.
And their hands are all over you, exploring every curve your skin has to offer. The crook of your neck, the gentle folds between your belly, thighs filling out into their palms, plushness against plushness. With how both of their breasts lay against you, it reminds you of a marshmallow cloud, and you’re drifting away into it. Away from the mortal world where only the three of you remain.
Ada runs her hands down your body, her latex glove palming your cunt now, circling it fully and firmly. You feel everything move, your hips rutting to find more friction against your clit. And she retracts her hand, pressing down against your clit as if you hears your demands, holding you and your emotions hostage, before repeating all the motions again.
“Shh… We’ll take care of you, kitty.” Someone says this, you don’t know who. You are much too focused on the pleasure throbbing in your body to notice. Ada moves her head downwards to watch your cunt more closely, pleasant to see you already drenching, soon to succumb to the inflictions of her loving touches.
“Goodness, so wet for me, darling.” Ada rewards herself with a finger down the stripe of your cunt, scooping your juices with the latex and licking her finger clean. Ada is taking her time with you, pecking gentle kisses along the seam. A few times you feel the firm pad of her tongue on you, but she retracts it before you can truly react to it.
Jill is still kissing you; her hands are groping her own breasts to satisfy herself, while you lay limp under the command of the two. You moan back into the kiss, clearly aroused by Ada toying with your body underneath, and she grows increasingly jealous: “Having all the fun without me?” She abruptly parts your lips, and gently lowers your back onto the floor.
“Come on, kitty. Help me come too.” Jill pecks one final kiss on you, which you, too engrossed in the knot in your chest to struggle to even pucker your lips. She rounds her legs over your face, and your face is shaded with the shape of Jill’s cunt. Her arousal glistens in the darkness, seemingly twitch, maybe a bit vulnerable with how your eyes are fixed upon her aching parts.
“Put that tongue to good use, kitty.” Jill drops herself onto your face, fucking herself onto your nose. A moan escapes her lips, and yours too, your grunt muffled underneath the pressure, but she can still feel the vibrations through her cunt. She ruts against you, a signal for ‘more’, and you obey. You stick your tongue in, swirling and springing your tongue to feel Jill’s walls against the flat surface of your tongue.
Jill lifts herself temporarily, just enough for you to breathe and release the groaning mess that is trapped in the back of your throat. She slams herself back down onto you again. Your breath quickens, back arches in; you’re close. So fucking close. Ada isn’t stopping now, her lips are flushed against your cunt, extending her entire tongue inside of you to tonguefuck you until your heavy breathing is inside of Jill’s cunt.
“I.. nnh…fuck…” You cry, a tear gathering in your eye.
“Don’t be shy, kitty. Just let it all out.” Jill looks down at you, grinning, taunting. She drives her cunt deeper onto your face. And with her encouragement, you do. The sensation wells inside of you, stimulated on both end bringing your orgasm to escalate in speeds unimaginable. Your juices start to flow, without warning—you couldn’t control it even if you tried—and all your fluids spills directly onto Ada’s face, catching into her eyes.
“That’s it. Well done, kitty.” Jill praises, smoothing a hand over your hair.
Ada doesn’t wince from your juices in her eye, she doesn’t even feel the pain. Her irises are shifting red from her kind hazel brown. Her skin, paling, wherever she was applying pressure at you, those parts of her turns distinctly blue. And that’s when reality hits you: you don’t know them. But there’s no stopping now. It’s too late. At least you can make your death memorable—enjoyable—by getting fucked inside out.
Jill is feeling it too, her hips shaking, your tongue going into overtime eating her out, until she finally releases. She tries to lift herself off, but it was too late when Jill begins to squirt, her one finger guiding herself on her clit, drenching your face and some of your hair with her fluids. You wipe your face off with your hands, huffing and puffing. Whatever you two had, it was intense. Far more intense than any relationship you had with any other sex.
Ada lands right next to you on the rug. She’s reaching down to circle on her own clit and thrusting her fingers inside of her dripping mess at the same time. God, Ada looks so hot touching herself.
“Please. Ada. I want to taste you too.” You nudge Ada’s fingers out of herself, giving them a lick to clean those pretty, battered fingers off. Even damaged, her manicure is still perfect, and the skin still feels soft to the touch. You roll on top of Ada, exchanging places with Ada’s fingers to bottom her out.
Ada’s cunt is so smooth, cleaned and trimmed, just as put together as the rest of herself. Her hole is wide open, as if taunting you with how much she can take at one time. You hook her legs over your shoulder now, pressing them down closer to her body and reaching over to her swollen nipple to pull against it. When your fingers enter her, it’s like dipping your finger into melted butter. With one finger, it was loose. So you add one more finger, then another, until all four of your fingers are deep in her cunt.
“God, Ada.” You swallow back a heavy drool. “You’re all stretched out.”
“I have higher pain tolerance like this. That’s the best part about being a zombie.”
“Does that mean I can…” You thought four fingers was Ada’s limit, but after wiggling your hand around, you manage to slip the fifth finger inside. Ada lets out a delighted whine, swallowing your entire fist with a quick rut of her hips.
My god, Ada looks so beautiful like this. With how big she’s taking in, you swear that she’s more used to this than she’s letting on. But you don’t get to ponder long, because Jill is right behind you. She’s watching over you, grabbing your cheeks from behind and something is nudging between your thighs.
“I want to try something on you.” There is a belt around her, and a strap bouncing high and proud into the air. “Stick up your butt for me, kitty.”
The idea of getting fucked by Jill excites you very much. You perk them up, despite your eagerness, you don’t want to lose momentum with Ada in front of you, still squirming under your control. You expect your cunt to meet with Jill’s silicone tip, but instead she puts some kind of device inside of you. It vibrates in the lowest setting, only a tingle of sensation in your already aching and throbbing pussy.
“J-Jill?” You let out a low grunt, unsatisfied. The device is so small, you still feel empty even as it vibrates within you.
“Don’t worry, kitty. I’m just gonna write some thing on your body. It won’t hurt, I promise.” She picks up a knife, previously abandoned in the corner. She runs the sharp end of the knife along your ass cheeks, and you wince as Jill drags the knife down until it carves off a letter. ‘J’ on your left cheek, ‘A’ on your right cheek.
“Kitty looks amazing with our initials on it.” Blood is trailing along your butt. Jill lied. It hurts a lot. But the combination of pain on your skin and pleasure of the vibrator takes you to your wits end. Jill makes up for it by consoling the cuts, planting kisses and licking the blood off your cheeks. Then she grasps harshly onto the plush meat, and the pain is back again.
“Kitty…” She coos, fingering out some of your stickiness to lubricate the silicone. It lines up against you, ready for entry. You take in a deep breath, and Jill shoves all of her length in one go. Your body flinches, tongue stopping for a moment to recollect your composure as your internal walls fight to wrap both the vibrator and Jill’s strap at the same time, filling you up so fully.
“That’s it, kitty. Take in both me and the vibrator. Feel so good right now… So good for us.”
But she’s not stopping. Not intending to stop until you come over and over again, until you stain the rug with every bit of your juices. Moans ripple through the room. Each thrust heavy and welcoming to your pussy as you stretch wide to accommodate to this newfound size. You chase your euphoria, as it crash at you wave after wave of limitless pleasure. Jill tips you further into overstimulation, fucking the fluids of your orgasm back inside of you.
But you can’t speak, despite the desire to release your choked out breath, you are determined to make Ada come too. She’s close. You press her legs further down to flex her into a pretzel, her thighs touch her head, and your fist finds its easier to reach her cervix, abusing at her favourite spot over and over again until she’s bound to release her fluids onto your hand.
“You’re mine now…” Jill and Ada speaks almost simultaneously.
And the rest of the night was a blur. You aren’t sure how many times you came tonight, you only feel the aftermath of it. The inside of your walls are sore, penetrated repeatedly by tongue and silicone, and you find your consciousness fading… and fading… until you are gone completely.
Tumblr media
A buzz. It rings in your ear like a fly in your sleep. Is this your alarm? No… Did you not leave for Arias’ mansion? How long ago was that? Why are you asleep? And where’s Jill and Ada?
You are alone. The portraits watching your naked body as you lie—criticising you? You hear the windows clacking against the hinges, night air whining inside and all over your bareness. But you don’t feel cold. Your body hasn’t felt anything in a while. Joints weakened everywhere and your lips feel like something dried over.
You hear the buzz again. This time much closer. There’s static. It’s saying something.
“Ji- Ad-”
You move your limbs, cumbersome from the soreness of your muscles, to reach to the sound underneath your clothes. An earpiece. You fumble it on.
“Jill! Ada! Are you guys there? Come on, why won’t this damn thing work?”
It’s Rebecca. You know this girl. From somewhere. It’s getting harder to think.
“Reb—” You try to talk, but it escapes like the low grumble of a zombie. You don’t have much time left.
“Finally! Thank god it’s you! Are you guys safe?”
“Water... It’s the water… The water’s infected…” You muster whatever bit of strength left to talk.
“Hello?? Shit. I can’t hear you… What did you say about the water?”
Your eyes feel heavy. It sinks without intention. All that remains is a fragile pulse at the hearth of your body. Not enough for you to move or think. Darkness envelops you, and there is silence once again in Arias’ office.
Then, a man steps into the room.

out of curiosity, if Max doesn’t release its metrics, then what metrics are you actually using to make these statements about the show’s popularity? what does “it’s currently in the 99.7th percentile of the comedy genre, meaning it’s in higher demand than 99.7% of all comedy series in the u.s.” even mean? How are you measuring what’s “in demand” - by who? Where? It’s bold to claim that this show was wildly popular (despite the fact that I never hear about it outside of tumblr, tho that’s a personal anecdote) but cancelled just for being queer, so I would be really interested to know where you’re getting all these numbers from. Thanks!
hey anon! first of all i am so sorry for the delayed response. i started typing something up and then i got distracted with something else and totally forgot about this in my drafts.
sure, i have no problem citing sources. i probably should’ve linked some in my original post, that’s absolutely fair.
this ended up way longer than i planned so bear with me, but a quick overview of what i’ll be going over:
1) what are the stats/where did they come from?
2) how is the show so popular?
3) was it really cancelled for being queer?
(also just a disclaimer that this will contain spoilers for the show)
1) first, the numbers
you’re right that hbo doesn’t release metrics to the public. in fact, ceo casey bloys tried to justify the cancellation to the hollywood reporter by saying “the numbers weren’t there,” despite refusing to say what exactly those numbers were or where they came from.
however, there are websites dedicated to researching/analyzing the data of different media. one of those is parrot analytics, who focus on industry insights like audience demand, competitive analysis, and content valuations. they’re trusted as a reliable source by forbes, the new york times, reuters, the wall street journal, and more.
this is what we can learn from them about our flag means death from a basic google search (note that all of this data is relevant to the last 30 days as of january 26 2024):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
audience demand for our flag means death is now 33.6x greater than the average tv series in the united states. as explained in the “about demand distribution” section, this means it’s one of only 0.2% of all u.s. shows to fall in the “exceptional” performance range compared to the “average” demand benchmark of 64.1%.
Tumblr media
the change in demand for ofmd in the u.s. has increased by 7.5% compared to the average tv series.
Tumblr media
ofmd now actually ranks at the 99.8th percentile in the comedy genre in the u.s. i’m not a math person, but in basic terms, this is like a scale of measuring and comparing performances to create an average score. essentially, ofmd is performing at the very top of all comedy series in the u.s.
Tumblr media
ofmd has 100% home market travelability. as it says above, the market of origin is always 100%, so in fairness i included the graph of international markets for comparison. some of these aren't super high, however (as explained by parrot analytics themselves) one of the key issues with the international market is accessibility to content, which has been an ongoing struggle for international fans. many people (i guess fittingly) have resorted to pirating ofmd because they don’t have access to max or affiliate streaming services in their country.
there are more stats i could have and wanted to go more in-depth into but it would make this even longer than it already is, so i’ll just leave some links you can check out if you’re interested and move on:
• comparison of ofmd's success to shows like ted lasso, euphoria, and peacemaker
• ofmd's placement as #1 most in-demand breakout series in the u.s. for 8 weeks
• ofmd's impressive 94% critics score and 95% audience score on rotten tomatoes
• how ofmd evolved from sleeper hit to a flagship series at max
• a list of ofmd's past and present award nominations/wins
• praise and recognition from news/entertainment sites: the atlantic (2022); the new york times (2023); tv guide (2023); vulture (2023); forbes (2023); the los angeles times (2022); vanity fair (2023)
2) so why haven’t you (or others) really heard of the show outside of tumblr despite all this success? likely because max did a terrible job marketing it.
ofmd first aired on hbo max (pre-merger before it was “max”) in march 2022. the entire season aired over one month, every thursday at 12am pst. season 2 followed a similar release schedule in october 2023.
season 1’s marketing was almost non-existent, pretty much relying on taika waititi’s name being attached. there was one teaser and one full-length trailer, as well as a few clips on youtube of taika and rhys darby answering pirate-themed trivia, all painting the show as a “silly pirate workplace/buddy comedy.” but hbo max didn’t put any real effort in because they didn’t care. david zaslav and the other higher-ups had no faith in the show and expected it to fail.
most people weren’t aware it was actually a romance due to the poor marketing, and although there were many romantically charged scenes between them, many were still wary to believe it wasn’t queerbaiting until ed & stede confessed their feelings and kissed.
showrunner david jenkins has said in interviews that he had no idea how deeply queerbaiting had hurt audiences and impacted their ability to trust what’s on screen without feeling like they’re being ridiculed, despite the fact that he was calling it a love story the whole time. it wasn’t until people realized they weren’t being queerbaited and that it was a funny, sincere show with a compelling plot that word-of-mouth began to spread. by the time the season 1 finale aired, there was a decent-sized fandom that continued to grow as it received more praise.
it was a fight to even get the show renewed for season 2, and david jenkins and the cast have majorly credited that renewal to the unexpected and massive fan response to the show, which basically forced hbo’s hand.
max didn’t bother trying to properly promote the series until season 2, when they begrudgingly accepted that it was one of their most profitable and successful shows. ofmd had huge billboards in times square, downtown los angeles, and on the side of hbo headquarters. they started accurately marketing the show as not just a workplace comedy at sea, but a heartfelt romcom. max began selling long-demanded merch (which became best sellers) and spent money on an FYC campaign.
i will emphasize, whether they liked it or not, they knew ofmd was their new moneymaker (especially with the recent end of succession, which was obviously a cash cow for hbo).

3) now if it was that successful, was it really cancelled just for being queer?
i mean, i can’t say that definitively. no one can. there are several potential factors at play that we may never know, and there have been a lot of rumours and speculation (many of which i don’t feel comfortable discussing in case they aren’t true) since the cancellation.
but do i believe the fact that it’s a queer romcom was one of those factors, especially since max has a history of cancelling and scrapping its most diverse projects? absolutely.
first and foremost, i can’t stress enough that this isn’t just a show with a few characters thrown in for token representation. ofmd is built on a diverse, intersectional cast and narratives, including:
• lgbtq+ representation: 5 main couples are explicitly queer (including mlm, wlw, nblm, and nblw relationships). multiple characters are implied to be poly, and there’s a polycule forming in season 2 that was hinted to be developed more in season 3. beyond relationships, it’s confirmed that (similarly to the way wwdits depicts all vampires as being pansexual) all of the pirates are somewhere on the queer spectrum.
• bipoc representation: the majority of the main cast are people of colour. this includes david fane, joel fry, leslie jones, samson kayo, vico ortiz, anapela polataivao, madeleine sami, samba schutte, ruibo qian, and taika waititi, as well as many guest actors (like rachel house, simone kessell, and maaka pohatu) and extras.
• disability representation: multiple characters have physical disabilities, most notably amputated/prosthetic limbs and visual impairment. a lot (actually most) of the characters also deal with mental health issues, particularly coping with severe trauma and suicidal ideation/behaviour.
• the show has been praised for addressing difficult and serious themes like toxic masculinity, colonialism, and self-discovery, all while still managing to be a witty comedy and not come across as “preachy.”
• the diversity also extends off-screen, with a team of directors, writers, and additional crew comprised of numerous bipoc, women, queer people, and trans/non-binary people.
my point isn’t just the quantity of representation, but the quality. they take great care and respect into every marginalized group depicted on-screen. the actors would often be consulted about their characters’ costumes, hair, tattoos, and the kind of language they use. it’s not a world where discrimination magically doesn’t exist, they just have zero tolerance for it. if a character does something homophobic or racist, you can guarantee they’ll quickly (and often violently) be punished.
so okay, sure, it’s got great representation. what does that have to do max cancelling it?
because they’ve been interfering with production from the start.
i already mentioned the marketing issues so i won’t get into that. it was also revealed in interviews with david jenkins after season 2 that hbo cut their budget by 40%, which is why they had to do everything they could to save money. this included letting go of some of the original cast (and even still having episodes where some of them don’t appear at all) and moving the entire production to AoNZ. the budget cuts also meant two less episodes, so they had to rush to fit an entire season’s worth of plot into eight half-hour long episodes.
but one of the biggest frustrations is hbo’s (alleged) censorship of the show. samba schutte revealed that the entire plot of episode 2x06 was completely different in the original script. before it was rewritten as “calypso’s birthday,” the episode took place during lucius & pete’s wedding and focused on the crew getting sick of the sexual tension between ed & stede and trying to get them to hook up (this aligned with lucius & pete getting engaged and ed & stede deciding to take things slow in the previous episode).
vico ortiz and writer jes tom have also commented that many scenes between jim, oluwande, and archie establishing them as a polycule were cut, including one of the three of them emerging from a bedroom in their underwear. jes has mentioned other elements of season 2 that had to be cut out or rewritten, like the implication of other poly dynamics between the crew and more sexually explicit scenarios and jokes.
considering that ofmd is an extremely sex-positive show that isn’t afraid to be raunchy or taboo, it’s clear that either higher-ups at hbo forced them to cut these things out or they had no choice but to cut them out due to tight budget/time restraints.
in addition to this, a recent article citing an “anonymous insider” has alleged that hbo was uncomfortable with and was unsure how to market the “shock violence” in the show (the same network that aired game of thrones), which david jenkins outright called out as being bullshit. ofmd is rated TV-MA and the posters and trailers all show the audience that it contains violent content. there is literally nothing more graphic in ofmd than any other pirate show — it’s probably a lot tamer than most of them, actually.
violence on the show is most frequently used in a comedic context, in the sense that it’s not meant to be seen as scary or taken seriously. the few instances of serious graphic imagery on the show are meant to invoke a mood shift, like ed’s transformation into the kraken or ned low’s murder. it should also be noted that some of the most graphic deaths are reserved for bigots, like ed snapping the neck of a colonizer who was ridiculing stede’s love letter.
it’s also most often used in a sexual context — not sexual violence, but violence as a sexual metaphor. more specifically the act of stabbing as a metaphor for penetration, as seen with both ed & stede and anne & mary. bearing all this in mind, it seems like the real issue here isn’t executives struggling to market explicit violence to a mainstream audience, but rather explicit gay content.
as much as we joke and affectionately call it the “gay pirate show,” ofmd has always been nothing more than an opportunity for rainbow capitalism for hbo (e.g. the fact that they waited three months to announce season 2 just so they could do it on the first day of pride month). like other cancelled queer media, ofmd was a way for hbo executives to show how “inclusive” and “accepting” they are when it was convenient (aka profitable) for them, but they never actually respected the show or us as a community.
it’s impossible to be certain of what the exact reasoning for cancellation was, especially when they won’t give us a clear answer themselves. and maybe it had nothing to do with ofmd being a queer romcom at all. maybe that’s all a horrible coincidence. but for hbo/max to axe a critically acclaimed and beautifully inclusive show that’s successful by every metric, with an extremely devoted fanbase, especially after casey bloys just had the nerve to ask “gay twitter” to hype up the gilded age? it doesn’t exactly put them in the best light regardless.
in summary, i’ll leave you with this editorial, which details how the campaign to save ofmd isn’t just about one show, but a fight to save the future of all queer art.

I WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE OF RINGS OF POWER (illegally) SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO:
I will list all the bad things and the good things of the first episode. Fair warning, I am right and those articles which calls this piece of steaming shit a masterpiece is wrong.
BAD THINGS-
The acting is sub par and so uncaring that it literally didn't feel like a real, just under a billion dollar, fantasy show based off of the legendary writing of J.R.R Tolkien.(Rest in peace, you deserve the world.)
Galadriel is a Mary-Sue (the perfect person. Everybody wants to be her, she is so 'cool' Rawr XD Uwu) and she is short despite being described in the books as taller than most elvish women and almost half of elvish men.
Elrond seems to have a crush on her and that just makes me nauseated.
Galadriel, if I should even call her that, wears the fëanorian star on every wardrobe item she owns it seems.
Actually, all the elves are the same height or even under it when compared to the humans.
The music sounds more like Game of Thrones than anything even remotely associated with LOTR.
The costume design in terrible. The material is cheap and plastic, they don't even try to conceal it. In one scene you can see that one of the background characters is wearing a black T-shirt underneath the clothes.
They barely say any of the characters' names (except Galadriel, which they repeat almost constantly). I had to google their names.
Brondir is the edgy warrior who is in love with the single mother (already forgot her name) who tries to help everyone around her.
The Harfoots, I also forgot all of their names, are the Hobbits of the second age and I hate the other main character whom comes from them. She is the relatable, clumsy character who is super curious. In other words, the most over used and predictable trope in all of film history.
They bring in new monsters/creatures that Tolkien never, ever wrote about. They probably needed these cliches to make the first episode more interesting.
The CGI sucks especially when Galadriel is climbing the glacier, icy, mounting thingy. The water is jelly and a piece of Valinor's sky literally clips out if you look really closely.
They jump locations every two minutes which gave me a headache and somehow the series is both fast and slow...AT THE SAME TIME!
There is really no heart in it. The entire thing was apathetic and simply lacked soul (because they sold their souls for money).
GOOD THINGS-
Gil-galad, his character actually looks canon and the actor is putting his heart into the performance thus making him the best.
The make-up of the orcs is simply beautiful. If only the rest of the series was.
Any scene with Sauron and the mentions of Morgoth is cool as it feels as if they have actual power in the otherwise boring show.
So far it sucks (no surprise there). I wanted to break my TV simply because their disrespect towards the source material is so obvious. Tomorrow my brain will have recovered enough to watch episode 2: Shit becomes shitier.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Things I dont understand on dwtwt
Chris and Jodie killed the show… But did they? Disney+ decided to sink a bunch of money into it and its now expanding and becoming a Whoniverse.
If this was any other show people would be talking about how well it must have done for studios like Disney and the BBC wanting to pour more money into it and expand the universe. Studios don’t put money into dead properties. Half the time they wont put money into a show that is critically well received so I don’t see why they would put money into a show that was ‘killed’. Do people not understand the definition of killed?
People are constantly talking about the lost of viewer numbers, usually in the over night viewing figures, never addressing the fact that the way we view content now vs 2018 is extremely different. There are so many more streaming services now then there were in 2018 and there has been a heavy shift to streaming because of the amount of content offered vs broadcast TV. And of course we also went through a global pandemic that had everyone locked in there homes moving even more people to streaming especially an older generation.
This meant, not only did people not have to watch the show when it aired because it was easier to catch up later, but people had access to more choice over all.
Next… when quoting the viewer numbers they also don’t discuss where Doctor Who sits in most watch show of the day/week/month, which is often similar to other series. All broadcast TV has had overnight viewership go down due to there being more choice since streaming took off. No one is saying other shows are dying because viewer figures are down because they aren’t, the landscape has just change and so the measure of success has changed.
Also comparing Doctor Who in 2022 when there is countless other content to watch vs 2008 when there may have been 5-10 channels is comparing apples to oranges. [side note: Someone noted there was definitely more then 10 channels in 2008, I’m in the land down under so our free to airs channels are/were 7, 9, 10, SBS and ABC, there was/is second versions of these channels who played the content a set amount of time after it air on the original channel. It would make since the UK had/has move channels then us as it’s a larger media landscape.]
The other thing I also hear a lot is that merchandise sales went down dramatically… I have never seen a source for this but if we take it on face value as a truth, could it be because again there was a GLOBAL PANDEMIC… a lot of countries went into recession, lots of people lost their employment and therefore their income, lots of people were dealing with being sick and death, and we have had massive world wide supply chain issues with everything and it wouldn’t be surprising if a lot of the merchandise is made in countries like China that just completely shut down. So the last 3 years we have gone through a major shift in income, priority and supply which is only stabilising now.
And the annoying thing is the numbers will change and these same people will be like “oh yay the show was saved” not acknowledging we are no longer in the height of a global pandemic, employment has gotten better with places reopening and so earning disposable income and the fact that they are sinking way way way more money into Doctor Who so if it didn’t do better that would actually be a problem because when you sink more money in you have to make more money back.
Chris, Jodie, 13, Yaz, Thasmin and even the stories, none of it killed the show, even if there are people who don’t like it. Most regular viewers are probably not thinking about it so deeply, or on Twitter discussing their feelings. They are having 45min-1hour of fun with the Doc and her friends.
Anyway dwtwt is super confusing.
If you got to the end of reading this thanks for coming to my Doctor Who wasn’t killed Ted Talk 😂

Blue Beetle 4K Ultra HD Review
Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) is a recent college graduate who returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Superhero Blue Beetle.
Tumblr media
Maridueña from the hit tv series Cobra Kai again plays a very likeable character here, the only problem is he's surrounded by a cast who are a lot less enjoyable. George Lopez portrays Rudy Reyes, Jaime’s uncle, an eccentric genius of the Reyes family, with a talented mind for technology and drives around in a souped-up Tacoma truck. Somehow, Jaime's uncle, although a technological genius, seems to have never been able to help the Reyes family get out of their financial troubles. Lopez is obviously in place to provide comic relief for this action flick, unfortunately most of his jokes miss the mark. Other members of the Reyes family include the equally annoying Milagro Reyes, Jaime’s sister and Nana, an 80-year-old female Rambo (eye roll). Susan Sarandon portrays a generic power-hungry villain who lends little to this film's plot, with a muscle-bound right-hand man who is the Blue Beetle's physical equal thanks to Sarandon's evil company and wallet.
There's also a force-fed love story between Jamie and Jenny Kord, the daughter of Ted Kord (whose extracurricular pursuits led to the eccentric genius’s mysterious disappearance, leaving his family to pick up the pieces). Jenny is forced to uncover the well-hidden secrets of the Kord family and fearlessly challenge their company, Kord Industries, to do what is right.

VIDEO QUALITY 📽️ :  A-
2160p transfer looks beautiful and the picture is especially nice during the action sequence in which the 4K source material really shines.
AUDIO QUALITY 🔈 : A
The Dolby Atmos mix is even better than the film's video. The sound is bombastic yet crisp.
EXTRAS 📀 :  C
Blue Beetle Generations - Divided into four short and self-explanatory sections, this multi-part promotional piece features interviews with key cast and crew members, behind-the-scenes footage, camera tests, and other items that explore the film's development, shooting, visual FX, costumes, characters, original score, production design, and more. Along with the other two extras, it's not tremendously detailed but very nicely produced with excellent cinematography, slick transition effects, and a 2.39:1 aspect ratio to match the film clips.
Origins (7:28)
Production Begins (16:12)
In Full Flight (9:03)
A Hero's World (13:24)
Scarab Vision (2 clips, 13:25 total) - Two separate scene breakdowns; the first ("Initiation") details Jamie's struggles to control his new superpowers, and the second ("Mastery") focuses on his final showdown.
Blue Beetle's Nana Knows Best (4:21) - A tribute to Jaime's surprisingly badass grandma.
FINAL GRADE: D
I wanted to like this film, but the Blue Beetle is its own worst enemy. Although the visual effects and action sequences are up to par with silver screen blockbusters, the plot, dialogue, and character development are made for tv quality at best.
Blue Beetle is available now at Amazon.

What are your top five fics by kudos? 1. Turn And Face The Strange (Stranger Things, Stoncy) 2. All On The Line (9-1-1, Buddie) 3. Givin' Yourself to Me Can Never Be Wrong (The Flash, Coldflashwave) 4. Hands On Me (I Think I Wanna Let It Happen) (9-1-1, Buddie) 5. House Like a Homecoming (Stranger Things, Poly Monster Hunters)
Do you respond to comments? I do! I kinda never shut up about how important comments are to a fandom's ecosystem, so when I get them, I answer back!
What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't usually end fics in full angst mode, but maybe the fic with the most bittersweet ending is Unfair. It's a SethKate (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) fic set in the aftermath of a sex pollen situation that leaves them both hurt and vulnerable. But there's still that nugget of hope, because they're hurt and vulnerable together.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? If I'm going for not just pure fluff factor, but how satisfying the happy ending is in the context of the rest of the fic/the source material, I would say Maybe We'll Get Forty Years Together which is a Jamie/Keeley/Roy future fic set during their wedding where Jamie has a chance to hash things out with his father.
Do you get hate on fics? Every once in a blue moon. I write a lot of polyships, and sometimes those polyships are an amalgamation of two sides of a ship war, and people have opinions about that lol. But generally, no.
Do you write smut? What kind? Sure do! I'd say it's what I write primarily. Generally, I write smut with feelings, or angsty smut. Sometimes it's definitely just smut for smut's sake though, which is also fun! I'm a big supporter of being horny on main.
Do you write cross-overs? I don't. The closest I've gotten is writing an AU based on another tv/show. I don't dislike them in principle, I've just never written one myself.
Have you ever had a fic stolen? Yes! Someone stole Taste of Your Lips (I'm On A Ride) and changed it from the original pairing of Zari/Amaya from Legends of Tomorrow to a Lauren/Camilla RPF and posted it on Wattpad. I'm very grateful to the person who messaged me on Tumblr to let me know, because the thief did take it down when I confronted them about it.
Have you ever had a fic translated? I have, and it's really cool to have been asked. My Buddie fic Exploration has been translated to Chinese.
Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not exactly. I was part of a multi-creator rewrite for season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow, which involved re-plotting and re-drafting as a group, so you could technically count Episode 2: Crisis and Faith.
What's your all-time favourite ship? I'm actually gonna have the dumbest answer for this question because it's a ship I've never written for, probably never will, and don't even really read, but it's Frank Castle and Karen Page from Daredevil/The Punisher. Their dynamic is just exactly what I want out of a ship. No notes.
What's a WIP you'd like to finish, but doubt you ever will? I have an Abby/Buck/Eddie fic that's on permanent hiatus that I almost certainly will never finish, especially because, in working on it, it started to splinter off a lot of ideas and dynamics and scenes I actually want to use for an original novel someday, so I don't see myself ever completing it. I would like to finish that novel though lol.
What are your writing strengths? I think I always feel most proud of my characterization being pretty on point, and I get enough comments to that effect that I don't think I'm just making that up. I also think I'm good at writing in small details that seem minor but make an impact.
What are your writing weaknesses? I fizzle out! I don't have good stamina to go back to something if it's gonna take me more than one sitting to write, which is why most of my stuff falls in the 2-4k range. I also lose steam without feedback and encouragement. My educational background is in creative writing, and I've been a long-time member of fandom, plus part of writer's groups even before then, so the idea of writing being a solitary thing is kinda wild to me.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? To each their own for this. For me, personally, I'll use a word or a very small sentence I'm reasonably confident is correct in a fic, but for longer sentences, I would write in English and just indicate it was said in another language in the dialogue tag. Plus, even if it was a language I do speak fluently like Frech, it doesn't mean readers do, so I think English is still the way to go.
First fandom you wrote for? So, if we're talking first fic ever, we have to go back to when I was five and six years old and I would make little "books" out of folded index cards where I'd write stories about Sailor Moon or Cardcaptors. My first fic on the Internet was back in my FF.net days, and it was a Kyoya/Haruhi fic for Ouran High School Host Club. My first fic on AO3 was actually a multi-chapter Sterek fic that was never completed and that I've since taken down. The oldest fic of mine you can still find posted on AO3 is a multi-chapter Coldflash fic We Could Keep Things Just The Same, the first chapter of which was posted on February 24th, 2016!
Favourite fic you've ever written? I still feel like I've never topped There's a Menace In My Bed; Can You See His Silhouette. There are some edits I might go back and make with my extra eight (EIGHT!?!) years of writing experience, but the core of what that fic accomplishes? The delicious angst? The emotional minefield of dubious consent/sex pollen/fuck-or-die? The smut as character study? The caretaking? This just hit on a lot of things I like, and I'm really proud of it even all these years later.

Note
this is going to be long and I apologize in advance:
so, my sole source of endorphins - 'ted lasso', the tv series I am currently watching - has this dating app called bantr, whose peculiarity is the fact that it doesn't show the photo of user, but instead allow for a more 'intellectual approach'.
now, imagine chubby! aegon being goaded by aemond into downloading such an app + making a profile, because his brother told him that he'd be 'too dull' to catch anybody's eye without flaunting their family wealth. so, obviously aegon has to prove him wrong. he ends up meeting you, there, who has recently gone out of a relationship that destroyed your self-esteem and your friends suggested this app to gain a bit back without having to show yourself.
aegon thinks that you'll be an easy conquest but he slowly starts to low key enjoy the banter - pun intended - with you and how you behave and he somehow has this thought that you must be the prettiest girl ever from how you talk + listen to him and in the meanwhile he realizes that this app is allowing him to develop his own personality without relying on the one of the playboy or the family disappointment.
obviously there comes a time when you ask him to meet up - after having saved the courage to do so for a long time - as you enjoy your chats and wants to know him better also in the real life world. you live nearby/you are coming in his city so, why not? except aegon suddenly grows insecure about his appearance, because he might not care how you look (although he is sure you are perfect) but he cares about what you think about him. he low key ghosts you because he is too scared to actually agree and have to face your disappointment.
you low key are bummed out because you employed a lot of emotional energy for this to work out but also understand this is how dating apps work and although you thought him different, you can't get too angry. still, you send him one last message, expressing your disappointment and hurt at his lack of actions and aegon realizes that he has done even worse than before and - with a bit of help from helaena - he decides to try this out.
he is a sweating mess at the date and he has already arrived there half an hour early while usually he is late, and when you arrive and greet him, he knew he was right in thinking you as the prettiest. he is worried about what you might think of him as he is a bit chubby...
you are low key taken aback that you were talking with THE aegon targaryen but try not to let prejudices flow you through and neither your own insecurities as you can tell he is nervous as well. you are absolutely taken with him and smiling gently all through the night, gently grabbing his hand over the table and babyboi is swooning, blushing and flustered. you finish the night with a sweet kiss and the promise to do it again.
(alright, I might have as well written the full fic, but if you like the concept I low key might do a similar thing for bestie, aemond)
I AM LIVING FOR THIS MODERN AU!!!!! AHHHH
yes my poor bubba, he’s so head over heels for you (even before he met you face to face). I could so imagine him being such a nervous wreck!! he’s made sure he’s presented himself nicely, suited up, a tie that he feels is suffocating him, as he keeps fiddling with it. even when you guys order he tries to pace himself & not eat as much because he doesn’t want you to think of him as a “pig”. POOR BABY!!!! and then you insist on getting some dessert after, and he knows you’re the one.
and mentally y/n is just so ready for Aegon… contemplates if it’s really that wrong to fuck on the first date?
gosh girlie I get so excited seeing your asks seriously AHHHH IDC IF THEY’RE LONG SHORT, they make my day 😫🥺🥺🥺 I appreciate you taking the time to even write them, seriously! 💗

Phil Shelley
Love this piece from Phill celebrating the hit tv show Ted Lasso. Being a fan of the show myself I like the colour palette with the different shades of blue with the yellow highlight from the Believe sign, which gets referenced a lot throughout the show. Showing Roy Kent touching the sign is a nice touch with how Roy’s character changes through the series and Ted and Coach Beard’s silhouettes in the window of the office are also a great feature.

The Unsung Hero of Ted Lasso
A deep dive into the meaning behind the music.
There are few characters that go unloved in Ted Lasso, if any at all. As we are reintroduced to the faces and stories we’ve come to adore and so deliciously crave, I implore you to pay particular attention to the mightiest of supporting characters, one that drives the show well beyond the quick-witted dialogue on the page.
“The Lasso Way,” as Hannah Waddingham’s Rebecca not-so-deceptively establishes in the show’s premiere episode, has certainly swept us off our feet. There’s no other way of putting it: “Ted Lasso is a vibe.” Creator and star Jason Sudeikis uttered the words himself whilst speaking to The Guardian during a press run for the streaming series’ second season, and it’s become somewhat of a battle cry for fans. If you ask me, which no one necessarily is yet here we are, nothing more directly and appropriately conveys the true essence of that vibe, than the music that carries the show.
If you’re tired of cycling through your ‘on repeat’ playlist, or looking to mix things up on your 2am train ride to work like me, look no further than the Ted Lasso soundtrack. While the original score for the show is equally as evocative and emotionally compelling, it is the song selection that truly crafts a narrative of its own.
Sudeikis has said more than once that decisions for the show are made with intention, and extreme attention to detail. It’d be naive to think those songs were selected without greater meaning. So, here I am, tipping my hat to the music supervision of this beautiful show.
Music in absolutely any context has an incredibly niche way of infiltrating our defenses, exposing every nerve to the complexities of life. And that is why the song sourcing that goes into curating the soundtrack of Ted Lasso is so impressive. It is robust, resolute. It truly takes you by the hand and guides you through the series. While our favorite characters’ stories still have 12 episodes to resolve, the final words of an episode - the lyrics, those melodies - they are what bring us home each week.
Those songs that play us out - or end the episode, if you’re not familiar with the term, à la Bill O’Reilly’s infamous on-set meltdown - they provide us relief in ways dialogue just can’t. It’s why there are entire categories at major award ceremonies dedicated to songs written for film and television. Hell, the Emmys only added a category solely for music supervision in the last decade. Better late than never, to say the least, but in classic English vernacular, I’m chuffed to bits by it - because the soundtrack is largely what makes iconic on-screen moments memorable. Those songs make must-see tv, must-listen, too.
It all leads back to two vital pillars to any successful storytelling: pace and tone.
Think “Kiss Me” and She’s All That, “Chasing Cars” and Grey’s Anatomy, or literally any John Hughes project - these are the shows and movies that made us, and they are intrinsically intertwined with songs that bring us back to the moment we first got to experience them. They’re inevitably linked in our minds forever.
Certain songs will live alongside the series’ legacy far beyond its impending end. “She’s A Rainbow,” “Strange,” “Somewhere Only We Know,” just to name a few, all contribute to moments that are embedded in the heart and soul of the show. Moments where our beloved characters are faced with the steepest peaks and deepest valleys their fictional lives come to encounter. I’d be remiss not to acknowledge that many of the most captivating scenes of the series are accompanied by songs with uncanny parallels to the character’s storylines.
The word that comes to mind is catharsis. In scenes loaded with suspense like Ted’s season one panic attack during Rebecca’s commanding karaoke performance of Frozen’s “Let It Go,” we cling to the melody and ride that tension right until it breaks. Then, you delve into the lyrical content and piece together even more context to the scene, like reading between the lines for little messages left to us by the brains behind the show. A well-placed song elevates a scene; it amplifies the emotional intensity of what’s written on the page, and just makes us feel all the feels. And at the end of the day, that’s why we’re all here. We watch so we can feel. So we can experience and emote as a collective whole. A community.
My anticipation for the third season surrounds greatly around the role music will play in what is likely the final installment of this series. After screening the first four episodes, I can confidently confirm the music supervision hasn’t missed a beat. If anything, the songs chosen feel even more integral to the passionate, visceral sways of emotion already taking over our beloved characters. I’ve already added several of the songs to a private playlist, so as not to spoil anything for the negative six people perusing my Spotify.
As an avid lover of music and fierce defender of song feeding the soul, I'm enthralled by how Ted Lasso’s melodic arch tucks right alongside the dialogue, editing, cinematography - the whole kit and caboodle. It’s all right there, swirling the sweetest harmony and serving this wonderful, wonderful show.
Because anyone will tell you, on a ride that's long and labyrinthian, you’ve gotta have somebody good on the aux.

Billy Batson's Weirdly Specific, Oddly Consuming, Family Dynamic - Is This Normal? Alfred Just Shrugs Watching The Manor Burn Ablaze Inside The Living Room
by NagitosWaifu
It started off with the worst of impressions, then overall good feelings, THEN a downhill tumbling into what Billy Batson means to the world at whole.
Still something is terribly wrong with this family, left unspoken, untouched, and unseen; Billy wonders if somebody will ever bring up the expanding, pitless hole growing inside these brothers of his. Billy starts to realize, slowly but surely, as to why a random rich man randomly adopted him. Whether a good man or a selfish one, Billy admits his life has improved. Of course, like a water's flow through the river, inevitably Bruce is Bruce and mistakes are being made.
Unknown to him, Everybody dealing with going back 5 years into the past with no real rhyme or rhythm to who remembers what. With some resets a few are having it better than others, while everybody else is having a hard time. Also for some reason, this world's weather is going insane, especially in Fawcett City. Sadly, it's unknown why the Wizard hasn't chosen his Champion once again.
"Does such a thing like Purity exist beyond a limited means knowns a Finitive?" Billy thinks 'No, it doesn't'
