not to be obnoxious. but i really like the jily in choices. and now you're thinking, bitch i should hope so, you wrote it. WHICH, yeah, fair point. but, it's super overwhelming to receive a lot of negative feedback on something, especially when that negative feedback is like "you're a morally corrupt person writing horribly morally corrupt characters blah blah blah die" y'know? so like, there are a lot of parts of that story that, in my head, have been a bit warped, by having people repeatedly tell me how awful they are. but sometimes i'll read bits of it and im like "wait. no. this is actually good (grammar mistakes aside - im sorry, i know it's bad, i had school and work and my brain was clearly mush or something idk)." like. chapter 55 jily. i just love it. i love when lily tells james he's putting on an act in therapy. i love when she tells him that now, when she looks back, all these memories she thought were about them, have regulus's fingerprints all over them. and he tells her he thinks regulus felt the same way and that he's sorry. because he never wanted either of them to feel like they meant less than everything to him. because they never meant less than everything. i like when she tells james that regulus wasn't a good person. and when james says "i know. but he wanted to be, and doesn't that matter?" and lily thinks it probably doesn't but regulus is dead and so she lets him have that. LIKE i just. yeah it's fucking messy. and it will never not be messy. nothing about their relationship will ever be simple. but i love that. like i love that so much. and i've had people tell me they think it was a copout, having james love them both. but i just, i disagree. james being torn apart by how much he loves people. like that's it. that's the story i want to tell. that's the character i want to write. ANYWAY. there's not really a point to this other than like, sometimes i forget that i really like choices a lot. that i wrote it for myself and i wrote the characters and the relationships that i wanted. and that it isn't some horrible ugly terrible thing that should be hidden from innocent eyes and like, stuffed in a cannon and fired into the sun, y'knowwwww?????

do you believe Bruce is emotionally abusive? ik fans prioritise physical abuse and ultimately ignore emotional abuse tactics like parentification etc because it’s not “that bad”. I don’t believe Dick ever resents Bruce for letting him be robin (he’s grateful for it) , but in ntt he mostly resents him for being emotionally closed off, and rejecting him as a partner. Bruce worries for his kids safety so he pushes the whole “if you’re not perfect you’re dead” mentality onto Dick which ultimately is harmful to him. He’ll never regret being a hero but the rift between the two isn’t just a “we want different things” scenario but more that they’re incapable of giving the other what they want.

bruce being emotionally closed off from dick is what’s revisionist about that version of canon though. i think bruce can be bad at communicating sometimes esp when he’s deeply pained (like in knightfall, for example) but for the most part he and dick are shown to have great communication for decades before new teen titans and the adjacent post crisis starlin canon starts to rewrite that dynamic into something else entirely. per that version of canon i do believe he’s emotionally abusive but it’s not a version of canon i particularly appreciate bc it requires overriding the dynamic they had previously where they could certainly be prone to disagree at times but bruce was nonetheless willing to have an open and understanding conversation with dick about whatever the disagreement was. even the whole idea that bruce is responsible for dick believing that he has to be perfect or he has to be dead is one that new teen titans cements (or that issue of batman where bruce makes dick quit and jason is introduced thereafter)

i get that it’s easy to take new teen titans as gospel bc it is in essence the textbook source for dick but i think there should be some awareness too of how it twists that relationship between them and not necessarily for the better. i’m not opposed to bruce having faults he has to answer for. i absolutely agree he’s not cognizant enough of the complexes dick develops as a result of wanting to be seen as an equal, and thereby can’t realize the effect it has on dick for him to still be protective and fearful even if it’s ultimately out of goodwill and love. and there’s also the fact that even if he gives dick the space he desires to lead his own life it doesn’t mean he should be hesitant to reach out bc he’s afraid he’ll overstep by doing so, as a parent he should reaffirm his love for dick regularly regardless of knowing he might get some pushback bc dick is growing into his own (again, knightfall is a really superb example of this). but i also think those are tensions you can wholeheartedly explore without rendering bruce into a controlling and abusive figure, and i’m not sure who it benefits to write bruce as such in the long run

some of dick’s problems have to be his own, and he’ll never escape bruce’s shadow if the only source point of issues in his life is his relationship with bruce. that’s something i would actually apply to the robins at large. hardly any of them are allowed to explore problems entirely unique to themselves and i think that’s in large part bc writers simultaneously portray a mildly to explicitly abusive bruce at their leisure while refusing to ever actually address the elephant in the room that is literally of their own creation. a lot of people believe the bruce shouldn’t be an abuser argument is framed entirely as a resistance to bruce’s character assassination and for me i can admit that’s part of it, but a more pertinent part of it should also be the fact that bruce being written as an abuser is what truly chains his children to him forever to the point that they can never grow beyond that abuse bc writers refuse to allow them to. imagine the problems the robins could be addressing individually in their lives if not everything came down to them being fucked up bc that’s the way bruce raised them or failed to thereby. there’s a lot about the robins as individuals that’s deeply interesting and i think it’s not just a disservice to bruce but to them as well to write the relationships this way bc it obscures their own agency and ability to be explored for more than a haunted legacy narrative

#sry this is so very long. please know it is not me venting at you i simply have many thoughts 😭#but yeah like i think something that gets lost in translation is like. i absolutely do think those portrayals of bruce are abusive #i simply don’t think he should have been portrayed as such to begin with #starlin era bruce is very bewildering for me in all honesty i dislike it deeply #the issue where dick meets jason is one of my least favorite for the way it portrays bruce it feels so out of character for me #considering bruce was more than happy for dick to go off to college or to find his own place with the titans #and even with that famous issue where dick meets bruce after learning jason has died the writing is quite odd to me #i think bruce is very much someone who directs blame and frustration inward as opposed to outward #he’ll let himself get dog walked if he thinks he deserves it. which i think knightfall illustrates fabulously #the beginning of no man’s land as well #what i don’t think he would ever do is lash out at others when he knows the blame lies with himself. bruce is very self critical #so honestly that whole scene in the cave with him and dick. doesn’t exist to me i would literally rewrite it 😭#and i think it is very significant that wolfman chose to recreate that slap three times if memory serves while every other write in bat #editorial at the time straight up ignored it and acted like it never happened. like idk that plus the way bruce was characterized during #knightfall to me says a lot about how that was not supposed to be the status quo at all #anyway. sorry this has devolved into a whole other rant please do not mind me 😔#outbox

Acotar Rant

Okay so I was gonna go to sleep then this thought hit me like a train, so here we go.

A common theme that I have seen in regard to Lucien and Tamlin and repairing their relationship, is that instead of removing the power imbalance between them, we swap it out.

Hear me out, I am going somewhere with this.

So, the most common thing I see, is Tamlin groveling before Lucien (great, we love a man on his knees, let me tell you why this is a not the best idea)

This does not remove the power imbalance in their relationship, it merely swaps it. It gives Lucien the same imbalance that caused him to be harmed by Tamlin.

That in of itself should be a trigger for Lucien, but I digress. That's an entirely other conversation.

But something else that is very common and that often goes hand in hand with said groveling, is that it's supposed to degrade Tamlin before Lucien, and often leads to an idea of sexual favors.

Would like to state before the court, I am not pointing out anyone or anything in particular, this is just a reoccurring theme I see in fanfiction, across all websites that I peruse. A lot of which I have read and enjoyed, but in regard to canon, this would not work out well for Lucien or Tamlin.

Because putting Tamlin in a position of degradation or being put in a prolonged (NOTE PROLONGED THATS IMPORTANT LATER) position of submission to Lucien, is simply a reversal of their roles, and it fixes nothing.

I highly doubt it would even give Lucien any satisfaction because 1- He isn't sadistic, and 2- Tamlin becomes his worst self when he is a state of self-loathing; let me expand on that.

Throughout ACOMAF when Tamlin hurt Lucien the most, he was in a state of self-loathing. He was battling trauma, and desperately trying to make it up to Feyre for what she did for him. In ACOSAF we see an even darker form of this, where Tamlin's trauma and hatred of himself has taken its toll.

By swapping out the roles and endorsing Tamlin's hatred of himself by keeping the power imbalance that harmed Lucien in the first place, we keep Tamlin in that same state. Thus, it would serve nothing other than to be a reminder of the horrible times and put them back in that state. It would fix nothing in their relationship. It would probably make it worse, as there would be no basis for them to build off of.

Now, going off of my earlier statement of 'prolonged position'. What I mean by that is all of my above statements apply for an arc where Lucien and Tamlin are kept locked in that submissive vs dominant relationship. Where Lucien constantly has the upper hand. It's just a mirror reflection of everything that went wrong in their relationship.

Now moving on to another point. The idea of Tamlin begging on his hands and knees for forgiveness.

In this specific case, I will assume this is their first meeting after last seeing each other.

Lucien does and SHOULD have all the power in this situation, but there are other, far more effective, ways of showing Lucien Tamlin genuinely wants his forgiveness, than making an (often) public display of his sorriness.

Lucien having the choice of when and where they meet, doing it on his grounds.

Lucien having the choice of seating arrangement, in the Spring Court there is a clear showcase in power when someone sits at the head of the table.

Lucien leading the conversation and laying out all his rules and boundaries, Tamlin never interrupting. This comes back to that act of submission, but in this case, it is more removing the power imbalance that is naturally in their relationship, rather than permanently swapping it.

Providing ways to meet all rules, and making a plan on how Tamlin will go about trying to fix their relationship. Genuinely listening, and actively participating in the conversation on how they will fix their friendship.

Basically, I am saying they need to talk, but they need to genuinely talk, and then Tamlin has to give Lucien his space. Has to genuinely try and make his efforts. And heal in his own space, while Lucien heals in his.

The idea of begging, crawling, crying, has never sat right with me. It sounds too much like when Rhysand made Tamlin and Lucien bow and beg for Feyre's life.

Rather than a public display that doesn't actually prove he means any of it, they need to have a genuine talk where that imbalance is completely removed. Where Lucien has control of the situation and the ability to entirely reject Tamlin's sorry and leave.

The begging also guilt trips Lucien.

Lucien is an incredibly emotional person and has been the victim of guilt-tripping as a manipulation tactic. Either the begging would make him feel like he has to accept the apology, or best-case scenario, he views it as another empty promise.

Anyway, that's just my two cents on this idea.

Sorry for the delay! I first read this half asleep and was waiting to answer when I was more awake and then forgot but I really wanted to answer this

Shang Qinghua's biggest weakness is his self loathing

You get more perspective on that when you know Bingge was a self insert power fantasy and that Shen Qingqiu was meant to be very like Bingge as well.

The dude hates himself because of trauma and doesn't see anyway to change his miserable life partly because deep down he doesn't think he deserves a good one. That's why he's fundamentally unable to change the book on his own.

He hides his self loathing under a mask of not caring and only caring about himself (similar to a certain OG scum villian) because that's the only way he can live with what he did to survive and the people he hurt and his own hurt. By diminishing it

His greatest strength is he is actually extremely loyal. Like Binghe if you pour the slightest kindness on him he blossoms. Even when Mobei Jun was beating him three times a day he also protected him. And let's be fair how much did writing about Mobei save him in his first life? The only thing he created for himself.

The second greatest strength is his adaptability/flexibility. He can adapt and change to new circumstances like lightening (ha!). It served him well as an author who relied on his novel to eat and as Peak Lord of An Ding and surviving Cucumber's affect on the plot

Mobei Jun's biggest weakness by contrast is lack of adaptability. Yes he can adapt quickly in battle by using his shadows but he doesn't bother to learn about human customs until almost too late. He demands and doesn't know what to do when his demands aren't met.bHe is used to getting his way and just stone walls until he gets it. He's spoiled (by airplane) and it shows. He just moves in a metaphorical straight line and makes Shang Qinghua move shit out of his way

His greatest strength however much like Shang Qinghua is his unwavering loyalty. Once he is loyal he is loyal until you betray him. He is utterly devoted to Shang Qinghua and has been for decades. Unwilling to let anything happen to him.

His second biggest strength is well he is slow to adapt on his own he does pay attention and listen. He listens to Shang Qinghua tell Binghe that the way to a man's heart is being pathetic. He listens to his rant even as he yells back at the Ascension. He even picked up what Shang Qinghua was muttering to himself. He doesn't always understand or agree with Shang Qinghua but he listens to him.

What I love about their dynamic is the fact that it has the intensity that you would expect of a god and a king who have sworn undying loyalty to each other. But also has idiot to idiot communication AND old married couple vibes

They are intense but they have been together for decades but they were on completely different pages for most of it while also kinda being on the same page. They are the most unhealthy dynamic in the book and the most well adjusted ship in the book. They are such layered contradictions and I love how on the surface it's kinda fucked up because the power imbalance in that Mobei is a powerful demon king and Shang Qinghua is his servant BUT Shang Qinghua is literally this world's creator and made Mobei Jun specially as his ideal man so that kinda flips it

I also like that at the end of the Airplane extras you see Mobei Jun trying to be softer and kinder and give back to Shang Qinghua and you see Shang Qinghua being more confident and happy and asking for things. it shows how their dynamic can improve

They're just so interesting

Hello!! A question for you, not in a offensive light at all but I wanna ask why you like pavlevi so much and how come it doesn't make you uncomfortable with the age gap? We don't know pavs age which is fair enough but.. You get my point! I still love em tho. Maybe I'm a bit conflicted

I’m so sorry but you made a fatal mistake of giving me an opportunity to yap about them ( but thank you for being very nice abt the question, it means a lot :3 )

Slight rant under more… tried my hardest to keep it short but I have so much to say abt these fuckass losers 😔

For the reasons why I like Pavlevi so much. It’s because they are my two favourite characters, I need to psychoanalyse them and make them trauma bond or I’ll DIE.

Levi has the solitary soul, he’s been alone for most of his life. What he seriously needs is connection. And I think most of the cast just can’t fundamentally understand him. (I’m not sure if I’m being biased and self projecting here because of my experiences being autistic but yeah 😭) And I genuinely think most of that cast would look at Levi with pity. Almost as if he can’t think for himself. And I think Levi hates it. It’s really a hard feeling to pin down, but it feels weirdly dehumanising?? Like say Karin or smth would mean well but it still feels like you’re being hang up to dry? And I think Levi fucking hates it when everyone is looking at him like that. And the pity ppl have for him comes from a place of being so disconnected from him. Most of them can’t really understand him or what he’s gone through I suppose?? It’s not their faults, it’s just how it is. Society has literally thrown him to wolves. His government striped him of his autonomy, has used him for it’s benefit and now it’s people look at him like this couldn’t have been avoided, that it’s something so sad, to be pitied. Which is also why I love pavlevi bc Pav is the only person that Levi can truely connect with. Someone else who’s gone through the same bullshit, torn apart by the same world. They are both cut from the same stone, just at different stages and coping in different ways which I think is interesting. And it’s so sad because why the hell does it have to be some Bremen fuck that actually treats him like a person and not just something to pity.

As for Pav’s side of the coin. I just really like to torture him. Due to what he’s gone through and seen, being in the army around the same age as Levi, if not younger. I feel like he’d see Levi as being fit to make his own damn decisions. It’s none of Pav’s business, Levi can do whatever and he honestly does not give a shit. But as they get closer I feel like I think Levi brings out all the guilt and shame Pav bottled up and pushed far down in his psyche. Like… he’s had to kill so many just like Levi, all to even get a chance at killing Kaiser. All of it being a glorified elaborate destructive suicide mission. And he’s very fucked up about it. Dread sets in for Pav because??? He’s a terrible person??? He’s had to wear this mask for so long, he doesn’t even know who he really is. Levi is just troubled and has been put in one unfair situation after another. Pav couldn’t move forward and purposely put himself in those situations and did those fucked up things. I also think it’s interesting to think of them as like an intimacy of convenience. Bc they both know they have no future and might die at any second, but it’s better to hold someone’s hand than be alone when you die.

Other tidbits!!

They are fucking funny, like c’mon getting bossed around by the enemy, and a LIEUTENANT on top of that, is fucking hilarious

He has 1 breakdown because he just got back from war, is going through heroin withdrawals, everyone in his home town has been turned into violent monsters, he’s hearing voices and someone just tried to kill him and he gets labeled a wimp. You put a guy in the worst situation ever and he cries ONCE and ppl call him a crybaby and infantilise him 💀 He’s stronger than people give him credit for… but that’s more of a problem with fandom than anything.

Also like… I tried….. I really tried to not like pavlevi….. But I’m way too fucking autistic abt them. It’s so bad that when I see them I get an adrenaline rush and do laps around my kitchen. I’m so serious. These guys are like pseudo drugs to me, I need to chop my head off.

This being a fandom that should primarily be adults, I feel like ppl should understand that. Yk, having better common sense and media literacy to understand this stuff ain’t okay irl. I still realise it’s not everyone’s thing and I’m not trying to convince ppl to like it, just explain why I like it (NO ONE UNDERSTANDS THEM LIKE I DO, I NEED TO DIE)…. Summary: you and cartman have a secret relationship and he has a weird way of trying to hide it.

600 words

Here we were again.

You sat down with the girls, a lunch tray sitting infront of you. Today you were being served sloppy joes, but you didn’t eat that, just the delicious fruit served on the side.

From the side of your eye, you could see the boys, Stan, Kenny, Kyle, butters. Eric.

You but your lip anxiously while side-eyeing him. Right now he was going on about something, something you couldn’t hear because of all the chatter around you.

You looked back down at the sloppy-joes that sat untouched, i mean, it shouldn’t go to waste

Eric stopped his normal ranting when he saw you approaching, a light blush settling on his chubby cheeks. We're you about to expose you guys?! What would the boys say, what would they think of him- suddenly a plate was gently placed onto the table infront of him.

“Here, cartman, I’m not eating it so i figured you would want it!”

His normal smirk dropped into a line. He was trying his best to look like his annoyed, normal self.

“You sure he needs more?” Kyle snickered, a few other laughs erupted.

“AYE.” Cartman yelled, looking from the tray to the ginger boy.

You awkwardly pursed your lips and rocked back and forth on your feet.

“Are you sure you didn’t plant any of your girl-cooties in this?” He questioned, a small, fake laugh erupting from his throat. Though, despite his fake play he was putting on for the boys, he couldn’t help but look up to you, still a light blush on his cheeks.

“Cooties aren’t real, Eric.” You crossed your arms. Oh shit- you called him Eric. “I- i mean cartman.” You coughed.

“Of course a girl would say that.” He teased.

“Look, do you want the sloppy Joe or not!?” You asked, fed up.

He just scoffed and slid the tray further towards him. With that you smiled and walked back to the girls table, a couple of confused faces meeting you.

After the bell you began to walk towards class when a meaty arm pulled you inside of the janitors closet.

“That was very reckless of you, we could of got caught!” Cartman freaked, his hand still gripping your arm, but not enough to hurt.

“I just gave you a sandwich, cartman” you smiled, wrapping your arms around his neck. You then smiled, deciding to tease him to get revenge from earlier. You leaned into a kiss before quickly pulling back before your lips could meet.

“Oh wait- i have cooties! I cant kiss you!” You dramatically gasped, the back of your hand touched your forehead and you made that dramatic motion that people make. “I’m so sorry for touching you with my cooties!”

“Babbeeeee” he whined, sloppily grabbing onto your waist. You tried to pull back but his grip got tighter, he backed you up onto the wall before kissing your exposed neck. Let’s just say your v line was helping very much.

“Eric- we can’t- i don’t want to spread my cooties!” You said, your lips turning upwards into a small smile. He continued to kiss upwards, a kis on your neck, jawline, cheek, and then he stopped right before the lips.

“You might be a disgusting girl, but you're my disgusting girl.” He muttered, before finally connecting his needy lips with yours. One hand was on your waist and the other was tangled up with your hair as you both continued with the passionate makeout session.

Suddenly the door rattled and quickly opened. The two of you quickly disconnected, drool was still connecting you two though.

Kyle stood there with a shocked expression, his mouth agape.

“What- the fuck.”

Okay! Rant (and spoilers) ahead! It's been some time since I read Dragons of Fate now and I need to put down my thoughts about it. My obsessive bookmarking of scenes must be put to some use! Really, hoarding scenes it my one true dragon trait.

Now. Critique comes first. For one:

Inconsistency problems. I ranted about some of them in other posts as well, but here a few in short: 1. Raistlin is too well-informed about Immolatus. He may have figured out that he's a dragon at some point after Brothers in Arms, but even then, he couldn't have detailed knowledge about his hunting habits from the short encounters he had with him. 2. The Green dragon in the orb is named Viper, not Cyan 3. In the very first scene a gnome appears he finishes a sentence. The a-gnome-never-finishes-a-sentence rule has been broken before but still.

Then. The repetetive and tedious explainations of time travelling. Okay, so the book starts with a chapter that basically retells the last chapter of the previous book to explain where things left off. So far so good, it's a bit unnecessary that the time travelling is spelled out to the reader in such detail and that Sturm is used as the 'ignorant character' device that needs everything explained to him. But then we switch scenes and the same discussion takes place with Dalamar and Justarius. And then again with Tanis (again the ignorant character device) and Astinus! Yes, every character has to be up to date, but the process doesn't have to be described every time. It just feels like the reader isn't trusted to keep up and I would actually welcome some ambiguity here. But maybe that's just personal preference.

Destina. I was actually on bord with the entire Destina plotline in the first book, but in the second one it feels like she has simply been erased, now that the heroes of the lance have entered the stage. And the plot with her love interest... uff. I read somewhere that Dragonlance has a problem with writing love stories and I agree. There is no real distinction between initial attraction and supposed deeper feelings? At least not in this case. There was no time for these two to fall in love and it feels like a plot device.

Raistlin. Now. This REALLY is personal preference but he felt... out of character a bit? How do explain it better than 'he isn't evil enough'? Yes he is still sarcastic and snarky, but it also just set on fixing the river of time without ever even contemplating an outcome that doesn't end with him dead? Of course his memories of his failed atttempt of godhood could have taught him better, but are you really telling me that RAISTLIN MAJERE doesn't have any ambition or shred of selfishness left in him? Especially after he says he doesn't really regret his actions? And I loved the scene in the beginning where he tells Tasslehoff that he is sorry that Mary was never real but it also just felt off.

Now, I ranted a lot about things I didn't like. So here the things i absolutely did (especially in the third half of the book that made up for a lot of the previous bugs I think):

Gnomes!! They were hilarious! Like, in every scene and every dialogue they were what I expected gnomes to be. Chaotic bureaucracy, exploding shit, little self-preservation, that's just awesome.

Magius. I had my issues with his and Raistlin's dynamic at first because it felt like they were set up for being friends just because it serves the plot and Raistlin was more dragged along than making decisions on his own... but the death scene really had me with a lump in my throat. And Magius handing over the staff and declaring that it will be Raistlin's now and in the future - that was actually a mindblowing moment!

The Immolatus and Takhisis dynamic. Now, this was an intriguing and ambiguous relationship. We know that she favours him, gifts him a powerful artifact and makes him a commander of her army, even recruits him again in Brothers in Arms, but he just hates her guts. Why? We got just enough bits to be interested but not enough to make it flat. Nice!

Raistlin and Sturm. Sue me, i ship them and I loved every bit of interaction.

Kitiara and siblings in the dragon army. This... I mean-!!! Again, this is subjective, but I was just always absolutely in love with Kitiara and Raistlin as a team and understood but was saddened when they tried to kill each other half the time. To see them now on the same side in this alternative present and with Caramon at that... this is everything I wanted for them. I know, I know, that's just me, but i'm all in for team evil Majere / uth Matar siblings.

Some musings on how the Aware AU might be best structured as a story and like:

Prologue would presumably be the party. So Adrien & Chloe have already started shifts in behavior that will be contextualized for the audience alongside other characters and flashbacks.

This is because it lets one introduce all three abused kids & Marinette and justify the Marinette/Kagami relationship.

This would likely be followed with Origins, but with the aforementioned Adrien in class, desk squabble, Nino biting the bullet but being intrigued ETC.

But there could be an interlude with Kagami contacting Chloe & Adrien secretly to be like, "Please tell my mother I made a good impression on you so she'll let me go to school here, I just made my first friend." & are instantly like, "Oh she's just like Adrien/me for real" and help her out, thus absorbing her into their duo making a trio.

The above however could be covered in a flashback.

Marinette is bamboozled how they know her Kagami & they are shocked Marinette is the friend she wanted so badly. Well Adrien is, Chloe is probably mentally sulking about how easy it is for Marinette to make friends. But Kagami likely explains what she can & things move on.

Anyway, if there are shifts in Miraculous or numbers then they'd happen, her but the prologue & Origins would be used to establish the status quo for the story going forward.

After which I imagine it can basically be broken up into a sort of "Era of understanding" IE, how little or how much does Marinette understand of their situation & how much do they understand themselves?

Nino would be useful as the sort of intermediary person whose ahead of the curve but between two parties.

But yeah, first half of season is no understanding, then Nino understanding, with the season 1 finale, serving to not bring about total understanding but definitely break some barriers.

IE, Marinette is likely at least at a stage where she thinks Chloe & Adrien's parents aren't very good at being parents, but not that they are actively abusive. So the dynamic cools a bit but remains easily ignited.

Season 2 would likely then build up to the full revelation and confrontations as barriers break. With Lila also being worked into the trio to make a quartet, much against her will, and Kagami's breaking moment probably being the big "Oh fuck" moment for everyone pre Heroes Day.

(Though gods if it continued and Kagami could be the Chat Noir)

But yeah I feel like that gives a loose but generalized shift that meshes well enough with the characters and time allowing for growth.

First season is all awkward growing pains, fumbles and such, while season 2 is once everyone's shifted into a stable if not perfect dynamic that can finally allow the main stage of self awareness to be reached.

This was way more organized my head, sorry.

(K first of all: Mood. My train of thought is really eloquent, until it has to change rails so other people can see it)

This all sounds good! It sort of reminds me of a rant I went on a bit ago, about how to do Senti-Adrien even if they only thought of it late. You don’t backtrack to have it make sense, you have characters commenting on the changes.

Like, the Senti-Thing, I said just have it that Adrien's already shedding his programming, already becoming a Real Boy(tm), so don’t have him suddenly be obedient. Have Gabriel come to the REALIZATION that his son is no longer obedient, and have flashbacks backing up how Adrien USED to be. (If you wanna find the rant, search @princess-of-the-corner blog's submission tag, it'll be far down, but it’s honestly faster than trying to find it on my blog. Please note there are two, one serious, one comedy)

But yeah, similar thing here! Have the party establish their "new" behaviour by everyone commenting on how weird it is, and showing flashbacks. I might have a specific scene where we see the inciting incident for Adrien and Chloé. Like, don't make it long, don’t give context, just a quick taste of the fact SOMETHING happened. Maybe a scene from Chloé comforting Adrien after Emilie disappears?

Another thing that might help/hinder Marinette would be Alya. Or, like, maybe to help show contrast with Nino? Cause, I think you said it before, Alya's kind of living out her tropes right now. She's the best friend of the Nice Girl[tm], Chloé's obvious the Popular Mean Girl [tm]. Alya would agree with Marinette that Chloé is a brat who needs to be taken down a peg. Meanwhile Nino, who has been in the same class as these two since diapers, is a bit more mellowed out. He isn’t seeing tropes, he's seeing people. Like, he has no clue what's going on, but he knows it’s more complicated than "Rich Bitch Spoiled Princess". Actually, I might have that be what kills Nino's crush on Marinette. Like, he still likes her fine. They're still friends. But Marinette's initial inability to see Chloé as anything but a bully and Spoiled brat, and how it’s colouring her perception of Adrien, might cause Nino to lose his infatuation with Marinette. Like, if I had a crush on someone, and they refused to believe that one of my friends might be abused, I would stop liking them real quick.

BTAA!Riddler x Reader

Summary: You love your brilliant, pedantic, loser of a husband. But when Eddie gets hit with writer's block he gets it bad.

Warnings: None except a Riddler temper tantrum.

He got like this sometimes. Your brilliant Edward would spend hours toiling away with a mismatched box of technological doo-dads and thingamabobs attempting to invoke the spirit of innovation to bless him with a plot to foil that knuckle dragging barbarian Batman once and for all. When she was feeling kind, inspiration would flow from his finger tips like the music of a grand sonata. But when she was absent and the well ran dry Eddie was a near inconsolable wreck.

“Trite! Done to death, basic! Wrong, wrong, wrong, WRONG!” Eddie wailed chucking his latest box of odds and ends across the room before promptly dropping himself face down onto the grimy floor of his workshop. He released a muffled screech of rage and you knew it was time to intervene. “Eddie..?” Calling out to your husband as you took a few gingerly steps towards his prone from. He made no acknowledgment of your call instead choosing to continue to groan pathetically. Sighing you fully strode into the workshop and sat down next to him. Giving Eddie the space to choose to accept your comfort or not. He of course… choose to ignore you. In favor of his “tortured artist routine.” “Leave me be! I’m not fit to be seen!” Whining into the floor, his voice muted by the concrete. Sighing gently you reached out a hand and began to stroke your poor, beleaguered love’s tired skull. Edward groaned, jerking himself out of your touch before childishly rolling a few feet away from you. Flopping like a dead fish, back turned to you. “Be gone! I wish to soak in my complete and utter failure in solitude!” Lamenting his sorry state as you rolled your eyes.

You could tell he was crossing his arms by the way his boney elbows poked uncomfortably from the depths of the sage green button-up he wore. Scooting over to where Eddie had squirmed you sat on your knees gazing down at him with a quite sort of acceptance. One he had so very rarely experienced, the warmth melted his icy tantrum just a smidge before he steeled himself in his snit. “Go away.” Glowering at you as he sulked in self pity. “No.” Came your simple response gently grasping his shoulder you turned Edward so he was properly facing you. Eyes softening as you took in the dejected expression of your love. Brushing a few of the dark curls that framed his face out of the way you bent down to place a soft kiss on his forehead. Edward sighed heavily through his nose looking up at you with tired green eyes and pitiful pout on his lips. “Darling” cooing gently as you continued to stroke his hair gently coaxing your Riddler to place his head in your lap. You legs had unbound from their kneeling position and you were gently nudging Eddie into your grasp. “I don’t deserve this! I’m unfit for your love, I’ve failed you l, I’ve failed myself! Inspiration has besmirched me!” He shrilly cried hands dragging down his face in despair. Tutting as you gently lifted nimble hands away from your husbands face. Separating them as you let them drop to his sides. “Edward, you know that isn’t true.” In a calm tone which was quickly interrupted by Eddie’s rant. “Oh it is! I’ve been through that container of bric-a-brac over dozen times and yet!” Flinging his arms wildly as to gesture angrily at the discarded pile of junk “I sit here with nothing to show for it! Zip, zilch, nada! Nothing, zero!” Squarely crossing his arms over his chest Edward continued to stew in his frustration.

“You’re being so extra Eddie… just call up your guy and get a new box of parts. It’s like not hard at all.” Miss Tuesday interjected turning the comforting energy you hoped to covey sour. Edward sprung up with an offended gasp laying on his elbows, glaring harshly at his teen assistant. You knew the coming spat would only serve as fuel to the fire on your husband’s already enormous temper tantrum so before he could retort you turned your attention to the girl. “Tuesday, honey!” Smiling with a pleasant tone in your voice. “Why don’t you take the rest of the day off, you haven’t been out with Autumn recently have you?” Placing a hand on Eddie’s chest to try and calm the incandescent rage bubbling in his chest.

The teen briefly looked up from her phone, narrowed her eyes but shrugged noncommittally. “Yeah, I mean I haven’t . I don’t know why you care now though. It’s not like you guys ever give me any days off…” Rolling her eyes at your comments. But still she got up, grabbed her coat and left you and Edward sitting on the floor of his laboratory in solitude.

As you watched her leave you breathed a sigh of relief and quickly turned your attentions back to the fuming Edward. He had gotten up while you were talking to Tuesday and was now ignoring your existence, sitting at his desk angrily hunched over a blueprint. Grumbling about insubordination. You swore you could also hear him mentioning being “unappreciated in his time” Snorting as you sling your arms around his deceptively muscular neck. Planting gentle kisses into Eddie’s throbbing temple and nuzzling your face into his stubbly cheek feeling him finally relax into your touch. Edward pretended to ignore your affections but you could feel the grin beginning to form as you kissed the corner of his lips. “You’re distracting me, mi querido. He crooned leaning further into the warm embrace. Giggling as you gently spun his chair a few times before placing yourself delicately into your husbands lap. “Oh I am? I thought you couldn’t come up with anything, has the Riddler, the Artist of Crime” laying a wrist dramatically over your forehead. “THE most feared and wonderful puzzle maker in all of Gotham- nay! The world. Been cured of his writers block by.. moi?” Lifting your wrist to uncover one eye you saw Eddie looking at you with loving mirth. Smiling softly in that way he did when he felt like you were the only person who truly saw him. Eddie Nygma. Not just the Riddler, not a bad rip off of the joker or A-B-C- Whatever list villain in the Bat’s rouges gallery. But as Edward, your Edward!

He chuckled, gently plucking your wrist from upon your brow and set about peppering your skin with quick pecks, leading all the way up to your lips. He kissed you warmly as you warped your arms a little firmer around his neck happily kissing him back. Pulling away Eddie leaned his forehead on yours whispering as if you were in a crowd of thousands and not safely tucked away together in the confines of his lair. “No, I’m afraid not. But you’re a lovely distraction none the less my dear.”

You giggled and kissed him again, content in the fact that you had gotten your husband to relax for a moment. That was enough for him and it was enough for you.

📖: If you had to remove one book from the series, which would you choose?

i am so so sorry for this possibly controversial insanely long rant but. dywh. it is so unfair to both chloe and jeremy it drives me insane i wish the scene never existed and maybe the fandom would be a much more peaceful place. rant under the cut

i genuinely hate dywh so much you have no idea. it literally serves no purpose to the story. if it was intended to be a metaphor for how men can be sexually assaulted because they often are not allowed to deny sexual advances, then it should've actually addressed how it affected jeremy instead of just brushing everything off and 'redeeming' chloe in vimh. don't get me wrong, it is very important to raise awareness about that, but it doesn't work in be more chill because the entire message of the musical is that people- especially teenagers- aren't who they seem because external and internal factors influence how they act. that they can make bad choices but they can also learn from their mistakes and change for the better. if chloe didn't end up being redeemed and the musical wanted people to dislike her then fine, whatever. it's still highly debatable considering how jeremy's trauma was never properly addressed but at least it makes sense for the scene to be included in order to really drive it home that she's an awful person. but she did end up being redeemed and they're trying to tell the audience even she's forgivable. and guess what! a lot of people don't agree with this because of course the audience is going to have a hard time buying that when the severity of chloe's 'mistakes' stick out like a sore thumb.

because if you think about it, all that the plot required was that the couples (aka upstage and puppy love) break up. and god there were better ways to do that. even if they had to include a scene like dywh they could've played it off in a tame way like chloe drunkenly attempting to 'seduce' jeremy (aka just a weird vaguely suggestive dance, nothing else involved). just asking him and backing off when he says no, because there is no reason for chloe to actually try to force jeremy to do anything. jeremy was not her concern, she doesn't even like him, it was brooke and jake. she couldn't give less shits about jeremy, all that mattered was that brooke thought he cheated on her and jake thought chloe had sex with someone else in his parents' room. like hell if they'd know what was going on behind closed doors?? all she had to do was just stay in the room with him for like half an hour then later subtly drop something about fucking him. is that not more in character for her? she's manipulative. she lies.

or they could've just stayed true to the book and made it 'consensual' (as 'consensual' as it can be while under the influence, that is) and nothing about the plot would've changed. brooke would still have thought jeremy cheated on her and jake would still have gotten mad at them for invading the sanctity of his parents' room and chloe would absolutely have still twisted the situation to her advantage because that's who she is. it's not out of character for her at all to rub it in jake's face- why turn down such an opportunity to hurt him? or for her to claim jeremy kissed her first? because she always puts the blame on someone else and manipulates brooke.

i would like to make it clear that i do think she should be held accountable for those actions, because 1) whatever her intentions were doesn't matter, the fact that it made jeremy feel uncomfortable & threatened does and 2) her entire reason for doing that was so incredibly selfish and cruel. she wanted to crush her best friend's self-esteem knowing brooke had already been cheated on and she wanted to hurt her ex-boyfriend in the worst way possible by tainting his memory of his parents who abandoned him. all that and jeremy was nothing to her. she didn't care what he thought, he was just a pawn. that is incredibly fucked up.

BUT. i am also saying that this scene was so not necessary. above all it's offensive that jeremy's trauma is never seriously taken and he's just expected to get over it in literal seconds after the scene takes place. but also- bitchy mean girl characters are already hated enough. a lot of people wouldn't have sympathized with chloe even without dywh in the picture. by literally making up that scene- it wasn't part of the source material, remember- the musical chose to put her on full blast. now we can't discuss her character without feeing like stepping on a landmine because dywh is a serious subject that some people are righteously triggered by. and the slight differences in how the actors of each production deliver that performance and how people interpret that scene is the root of all controversy.

🌹 He would most definitely offer you support when you’re having a rough time.

🌹 If he catches wind of your bullies it will be a sorry day for them. Gives those said cadets extra work as punishment, or roughs them up himself depending on the degree of bullying they served.

🌹 When you cry it absolutely pains him. He can’t stand it. He’s panicked and so desperate to make you smile again. He will gently wipe away your tears and offer to make you some tea. You can stay with him in his office until you’re feeling better.

🌹 Allows you to vent. He won’t really offer much verbal input or feedback unless you ask. Pretty much just lends you an ear and a safe space to rant. He’s not the type to be vocal unless required, but if all you need is someone to listen, he’s here for you.

🌹 He’s really not built for the pep talks and the coddling so if you were expecting to be babied, he’s really not that type. Levi’s advice will be sensible and forthright. A trait of his that might disappoint you or sting a tad if you are overly sensitive and were in search for something more sugar coated. But he can’t and won’t sugar coat things, he just doesn’t have it in him.

🌹 Though the fact that you chose Levi should mean you know this about him and that his honest opinion is welcome.

🌹His advice will be very matter of fact and he will suggest something along the lines of trying to adapt to the environment you’ve chosen to be in. The life of a soldier is tough so you’re going to have to grow a thick skin. He might give you extra self defence training, he wants to help you toughen up somehow, give you the tools to build your mentality the armour it requires. ( You might have a tougher skin than you thought if you’ve managed to win the affections of the Captain anyway, so chin up.)

🌹 It might sound like a lecture and not something you want to hear, but know it is truly coming from a place of concern for you. He just cares. His advice consists of practical solutions to fix problems. So if you go to him for advice he won’t be the sort that reassures you with words, he will offer ways to fix the problem. Personalities like Armin or Historia might be better if what you’re looking for is verbal reassurance.

🌹 He does his best to reassure you in other ways though. He will accompany you to places if you’re feeling too anxious to be by yourself, or if he’s busy he will assign a trusted survey corps member to escort you places.

🌹 He places a hand on your knee when you’re nervous. He will stroke your hair until you fall asleep if you are having trouble sleeping. He might even give you a few days off your busy schedule if you need a mental health break.

🌹 It’s the little things with him. He wants you to feel as safe as possible. It absolutely destroys him to see you crying, so he wants to protect you and be your shield. A cloak you can find refuge under when the vicious glances and whispers become too loud.

there a loud cracking you bothe turn around immediately, the floor rumbles a crack, open the room,crack in the wall, the satanic symbol split, opens the wood burning, it edges chorcle the wood around, the cycle of the satanic, symbol black flames, smoking up the room, morphing into a figure, seven feet tall Dave, grabbing my arm shaking, in excitement and fear, the fire dies down,as the figure moves, off the cycle, the floor chard black cycle, in the middle,of Dave cracked room, the figure shaking off the ash,falls on the floor dust,it self off with its four arms, look down at us it sniffs, how does do with no nose, it's very shadowy dark skin naked, with white swells that glow, a tale with two fin like skin, at the hoves look up it has bracelets, at each wrist, and it face three black eyes, two white dots in two bottom eyes, vertical eye in its forehead, white cycle with a black pupil, has horns that point to the side, ear like those Egyptian dogs, its mouth were it supposed to be, and reach to middle of its face.

it walk towards staring down upon Dave, and l it lunge upon Dave, violent the creature with four arms, grab each limb, of Dave pickings him up, then rips Dave apart, till his torso hit the floor with a thud, still alive crying in pain, you freeze up in fear in shock, as creature soaks from Dave body, as it bite into Dave body, leaving blisters and burns, where it's mouth met Dave skin, Dave goes limp dead its look up to you crawling, to you as you fall, to your back to the door, behind you, holding your arms to brace yourself, for its claws instead it, pats your head "Your blood was very little not enough with one droplet of blood to reach my full potential to serve you my master" You still stare into its face eyes darting around terrified eyes land on the book, you dart to it you grab it, and open it pointing to its direction "What fuck are ya doing lm confused" It say stepping over Dave corpse "get back in the book l don't want you here go" it looks around "what... but you summoned me modeox you can't just get rid of me just like that l just got here" you shout at it again "and now lm telling you to leave" it smiles "so you order me shit well l guess l do own your soul now" "what no l didn't what is happening" you say confused it smiles

"well if you give me a order it signs the contract and l get your precious soul my dear and a warning you may get a burn in the back of your neck to from our contract" you don't feel anything till you fall to knees feeling like a hot metal branding was on you neck modeox run to you side somehow seeing you hurt didn't feel good with them "lm sorry but it's necessary l can lick it my tongue is cold not my mouth tho it burns please let me cool your neck down" the pain is trobbing "it hurts fix it" it opens its mouth you yank your head away "what go grab some ice or something" it pick you up stepping over the Dave corpse it gets to the kitchen with you in hand

"ok now put me down" it places you down ontop of the Island "l didn't know were so l thought l just bring you downstairs with me master" it said "frist of stop calling me master its y/n call me y/n" you sit cross legged on the Island "so we're the ice y/n" "on the right bottom of the fridge pull the handle" you point say pained still your neck still throbbing blisters forming "just hurry it hurts alot" modeox got worried, they then rips off the door handle, then grab the ice, in its bottom hand ran too placing it on your neck gently "ouch it hurts it stings" you grunt "hay l can l do anything to make it up to you y/n l make tea" it grabs a pink apron with its top right hand as it left top hand had the ice on your neck right the top eye looked for it body not moving to it next to it anyway two eyes still focused on you it two bottom arms putting the apron on then pat your head turning to make you tea "l thought demons are cruel" you say "who says lm not you don't know me or anything in my realm l have killed dozens and ended bloodlines driving people to madness to eat their loved ones alive"

Silence well you didn't believe in supernatural until now "so how does our contract work" it still as electric jug boils the only sound in the background "well eveytime you order the more your soul is damned and l own but don't worry till you die l take good care of please give me more order l want merge my soul with yours please" you scoffed "no so how do l end this contract" you say it sighs "well an angel but there useless ever since God died when they made humanity there cracked under the pressure some care for humanity" you think to yourself so how do l find a angel.

the kettle flicks off, modeox turns to pour you tea, as its two bottom arm, are moving as it talks "y/n your tea is done don't worry l know what allergies are l have been watching in the shadows your roomate done to many dark rituals so your place was haunted but l ate those souls and chased the other demons away no thanks to me lm glad that you open to my page we are destined together now lm in a physical form" it turn to you, placing the tea next to you "drink up l know the amount of sugars you like".

Comforting you after a Breakup- The Valorant Guys (p.I)

For the past few months, I've been talking to a close friend over Snapchat about a guy I like and found out last night she showed him everything I said. He handled it very well and rejected me so sweetly, so I'm not even terribly upset on that front. I'm just really sad someone I trusted would betray me like that. This is very self-serving so my apologies, but writing it has made me feel eons better <3

The poor man thought for sure someone you loved had died

He noticed how every time you left your room, you'd look like a zombie

Hair messy, dark circles to the max, eyes still red and puffy from crying, etc.

When he asks around the protocol to try and figure out what happened, most of the guy agents seemed just as clueless as he was

Your closer lady friends, though, like Jett and Raze, just kinda shook their heads and told him to give you some space

He wasn't a fan of that approach, though, because in his opinion, no one should have to grieve alone

Sova decided to go to your room with a box of tissues and planned to talk to you about it, perhaps also remind you that you're allowed to take a short leave for bereavement if necessary

Although it took some major convincing, you finally let him into your room, the messy state of your usually clean space alarming him

Once you were both seated on the foot of your bed, he offered you the box

“I know dealing with loss is never easy, but you don’t have to hole up alone. We’re always here to listen.”

You blinked in surprise before giving him a watery laugh

You were touched by the gesture but explain that no, no one passed away, you just got broken up with

“Oh. Oh, I thought- I’m so sorry.”

“I still think this was very sweet of you, Sasha. Everything just... kinda sucks right now, you know?”

While he was relieved no one was dead, it still bothered him to see you so upset

He decided right then and there that he was going to help you feel better, starting first by cleaning your room

You initially protested as he walked about with your trash can in tow, picking up the trash he found here and there

By the time he started hanging up the laundry you neglected to even fold, though, you accepted you weren’t shaking him that easily and begrudgingly helped him clean

Afterwards, he had you put on your favorite show and hung out with you, letting you lean into his shoulder when you got a little teary-eyed and stroking his hand soothingly over your hair

Quality time was just what you needed to pull yourself together, and he was willing to give it to you as long as you needed

Yoru

You thought you were doing well at hiding how upset you really were, which was quite the feat

Especially since getting dumped over text really fucking blows

But the other agents weren't clueless, especially Yoru

He noticed how your usual spark seemed to dim- you weren't kicking your feet while sitting in your chair, you weren't animatedly talking to everyone about this and that, the usual banter between him and you during missions had all but dried up

Something was off

He really didn't like that

One night before you could run off to your room right after you finished training, he caught up with you in the hallway

He practically demanded that you spill the beans on whatever was going on, and after a few minutes of pressing, you finally did

You showed him the texts and he scrolled through them, his eyes rolling as he skimmed over the exchange

"Being a dick myself, I can truly say that was a dick move."

“It’s really not that big of a deal, I’ll be fine- hey!”

He steered you both into the common area and plopped you down on the couch, where he wouldn't let you leave until you actually got it all out of your system

It didn’t take long for you to finally cave and do just that

You ended up ranting to him for an ungodly amount of time, going back and forth between being really pissed and really upset

Admittedly though, being able to release all those bottled up emotions felt really good

For the next few weeks, he took to inviting you to the gym at late hours to rough up a punching bag or two

Whether or not you felt the need to speak, he was always there to help you wrap your fists before starting and perfect your technique

Although the outlet seemed to help you get back to your usual self, he still couldn’t shake the growing anger he harbored towards your ex

With each powerful punch you sent into the bag he held steady for you, he had to refrain from taking your ex’s number to Killjoy and getting their exact location

Chamber

No one on the protocol could figure out why, but out of nowhere one night, you took to baking until early in the morning

Not in a peaceful manner, either

You would practically slam dough flat with the rolling pin, ignore the cacophony that the pans and pots made when you were searching through them for a pie tin, fume in an unspoken rage that drained the life out of the kitchen

You weren't one to get mad and, not wanting to piss you off any further, the agents largely tried to stay out of it

Not Chamber, though

Especially when your antics were keeping him awake

He walked into the kitchen when you were being especially noisy one night, finding you trying to scrape burnt cookies off a tray while you cursed under your breath

He pinched his nose and sighed

"What are you doing?"

"Not anything right, that's for sure. First I added too much baking powder, and then I burnt the fucking cookies, and... and..."

You fell silent, your movements slowly growing still

"Dammit. That bastard fucking cheated on me."

His eyes widened at the confession as you finally abandoned the pan in the sink, sitting down at the dining table so you could bury your face in your hands

There were a lot of things going through his mind, namely ‘Who?’, ‘Why?’, and ‘Could Cypher wipe my name from a warrant registry?’ but first and foremost, he pulled up a chair beside you

He got the feeling you didn’t really want to talk about it, at least not yet, so he offered the next best thing

"Do you know how to make madeleines?"

"... Madeleines?"

"I'll show you, if you want. Come."

He spent the rest of the night showing you how to bake the small pastries, helping you take it slow and steady

He even managed to earn a few laughs from you after a mishap with the flour left his glasses coated

He was careful not to breathe a word about your situation, proving to be a welcome, calming distraction you needed as you processed everything you were feeling

The anger pumping in your veins was gradually purged out with the help of his gentle company and after about four days, you finally felt like talking it out

He didn’t once judge you or give any smart remarks, he simply listened and offered advice you actually found useful

The creative insults he sent your ex’s way certainly soothed the burn, too

Uhhhhhhhh listen I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese (kinda rusty in the one) and half a year ago I started to study Chinese. So for me, Italian of course, Chinese and Japanese. Those are some of the main languages of the characters involved with the Vongolas. I have some basics in Latin too (very basics).

If I'm being a nerd, I'd study in detail the Italian dialects. I find it more important to be able to communicate with anyone from Italy to a point I feel trustworthy to them.

LA MIRCH. I don't care, I'm making her count.

She was the person originally picked for the rain pacifier! She freaking taught Colonello! She's so relevant to the story and her design is so cool !!!! Lal Mirch is my favorite KHR female character.

Although I think KHR is flawed in terms of female character depiction (typical problem in shonens), I think the story still allows women to be real in a sense that doesn't feel fabricated. She's not a "boss" or the type of "empowered" character that some writers go for nowdays.

She's stubborn and cold and loyal and loving. She serves a cause and although she's powerful (again she was selected as the rain arcobaleno c'mon!!) she has no problem following orders or working for others. We know that her romantic devotion is a trait she shares with Colonello, because he did sacrifice himself in her place and she wanted so badly to take revenge on his name and—

It doesn't feel like she's being used to further Colonello as a character. In fact, he feels like part of her backstory. Colonello started existing in the story when he became Lal Mirch's studentz but she was already involved with the Vongola. His relevance comes from taking her place. She kept him alive in the narrative by fighting for him in the Future arc. That's insane.

I think the story should have allowed her to teach the girls (Haru and Kyoko) some self-defense. Nothing extreme, but I think they deserved to know and to do more than staying on the sideline, cooking for the rest as they trained.

Sorry about the Lal Mirch rant. She's just really really my fav KHR girl <3
