This piece is a few months “old” already, because it was my entry for the Teyvat's Matchmaker zine!

It was definitely a pleasure to draw Eulamber of all ships! 😭😭 I really should draw them more often 🥺

This piece portrays the moment Eula reads Amber’s letter, while she’s away on a mission for the Knights!

For the letter itself, you’ll have to wait a little bit and read it once the zine comes out! It’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever read, it was an honor illustrating it really 🥺🥺💓💗

There are so many things I want to write, I have a problem. I have a whole doc that's just ideas (some of which are like a single, nonsense line like, 'the gang goes grocery shopping'). I'll leave it to a few highlights of ones I probably won't do any time soon...

Astarion POV story where he really is the Princess of House Nightstar, married to a tarrasque named Jonathan (I have a few angles floating around in my head for this one...)

Murder mystery story (if you ever played The Dark Brotherhood quest line in Oblivion, I was imagining something like that)

And the one I just mentioned the other day, an Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind re-imagining with Astarion memory wiping himself

the call out omg 😭 (/jk). But to answer your question anon i've never once been brief in my life ❤️ even in college if the assignment was to write a 15-20 page essay, I would simply turn in 22 pages and pray to the academia gods that i wouldn't get docked for it being too long lol

But to be fair with rjk friends with benefits, i've had this idea since the end of the season and I full well knew it was going to be a beast. There's no way me dealing with the James Sr. canon ending of it all was ever going to turn out otherwise 😂 hence why i've put it off for so long in favor of writing like 6 other fics first. it comes as no surprise to me that this one has...escalated.

I would like to tell you that my christmas fic is going to be short, but really i think it's just going to be short for ME, which is to say it will probably end up around the 7k-8k count, somehow. The problem is a think of one (1) good scene to base a fic around and then i never write an outline, so when i sit down to write and a demon possesses me there is no controlling it and suddenly I am on page 40 of the word doc. whoops!

i greatly admire and love short fic writers and i recognize that writing succinctly is something that often makes stories BETTER. I just simply do not possess the skill :( especially in fanfic where it's like. why not add 5 scenes that are completely superfluous and add nothing to the story just because they're fun and I want to? 🤷‍♀️ there is no one around to stop me!!
