A/N: So I had this idea in my head today after wondering how the conversation would go with Noah about him being a dom while you’re in the early dating stages.
This has definitely been inspired by watching him spanking the air during IDWT$ the other day which I have yet to recover from 🥵
I haven’t wrote any type of fanfiction in about 7/8 years! I used to write a lot when I was younger but stopped due to adult life haha so I do feel incredibly rusty but Noah and reading everyone else’s stories on here over the last few months has definitely inspired me but please be kind as it’s been so long 😂
I am half way through a smut filled Noah one shot atm so hopefully if this goes well then I’ll be posting that soon!
• So far you were on date number 3 with the Noah Sebastian Davis.
• Tonight was a home cooked dinner and movie night at yours
• Currently sitting together on the sofa, chatting after dinner
• You had both agreed to take things slow-ish to begin with so you could really get to know each other
• Noah being aware that you were a fan of the band prior to these dates
• The most you guys had done so far was holding hands, cuddling and a lot of kissing
• Now you know there is more to a relationship then sex but let’s be honest, it’s pretty important and it’s important to be compatible
• You hadn’t mentioned anything to Noah about the kinks or kind of relationships that you were into but it was definitely the time to see if things could progress
• “so I feel these dates have gone really well and that we appear to be really compatible”
• “so do I”
• “but there’s something I’ve been wanting to ask you…”
* Noah would definitely be more intrigued when he sees a small blush forming

• Noah, as ever, would be very collected with a calm expression that you can’t read

• “Don’t be shy y/n, if the blush on your cheeks is anything to go by then I can only assume it’s more of a private question?”
• Noah’s eyes never leaving your face and of course he would have a small smirk on his lips
• “right ok….so obviously you know I’ve been a fan of the band for a while before this….so I’ve seen certain videos online of you performing….and….and seeing the way you present yourself or the way you do certain things…”
• “What things?”
• Noah interrupting with an even bigger smirk, clearly catching on to where the conversation was headed
• You would definitely be blushing a bright shade of red at this point and trying not to do your nervous laugh and you most certainly can’t look him in the eyes
• “The videos of you spanking the air and the way you come across….I just have to ask….are you really the dom that you appear to be?”
• That whole sentence would have been said extremely quickly
• You would feel the need to ‘shy away’ from him after being so bold, eyes looking down at your lap
• Until you feel his fingers brushing your hair off your shoulder
• “why? Do you want to be a good girl for me?”
• You would instantly feel your tummy do a flip and have an instant ache in between your legs
• The latter would have you squirming ever so slightly on the spot and clenching your thighs together
• Something Noah of course does not miss
• “ your reaction just then tells me everything I need to know about you”
• You’d look at him with big eyes, a knowing smile on your face
• “I just needed to make sure that we were compatible in that area, most guys I’ve met aren’t into what I am”
• Noah would be tracing small patterns on your neck, his intense gaze never leaving yours
• “We can discuss what we like or don’t like, make sure that there is a safe word or a colour system in place but I do think we are going to be more then compatible”
• The ache would start to become very prominent to you at this point
• “Just to warn you, I’m not always very well behaved”
• You stare into his eyes, heart rate accelerating and you most certainly had a wet spot on your underwear at this stage
• “Good. Because I love my subs to have a bit of bite to them”
• You would unconsciously move closer to him while his hand gently wraps around the back of your neck
• “Can we just skip the movie now please?”
• Noah also moving closer “please what?”
• “please sir”
• “there’s my good girl”
• The kiss that happens after this would be messy and desperate and a small indication of what was to come
• The film definitely being forgotten about for the rest of the evening

You feel Tech’s warm body against yours before you open your eyes, snuggling against his chest more, your bottom brushing up against his length.
“Good morning, darling.” He chuckles, softly, kissing your neck.
Your previous night had been so perfect. Better than anything you could’ve ever imagined. Parts of it start to flood your memory, making your face go warm.
“Good morning.” You bring his hand to your lips and he snuggles his nose into the crook of your neck. “How did you sleep?”
You’d been slightly afraid that Tech wouldn’t be able to sleep well since he’s never slept next to another person before and you know how much he enjoys his space. But when you’d offered to go back to your bunk, he’d only pulled you close to him, bringing the covers up over the both of you and asked you to stay.
“I think I slept better than I’ve ever slept before.” He admits and then starts to smile. “I’m afraid I will not be able to sleep alone now.”
“Oh no. How awful. Guess I better take up permanent residence here.” You laugh.
He chuckles again and you roll over to face him.
“Hi.” You smile up at him.
“Hello.” He smiles back, his voice still soft and raspy in a sleepy way, making you melt like putty.
His hair is sticking up in different directions and you imagine yours is too, but you can’t bring yourself to care. Kissing him softly, you run your hands up to cup his face, which is starting to feel slightly stubbly from not having shaved in a few days. You take note of how good the five o’clock shadow looks on him.
“I’ve got work soon.” You sigh against his lips.
His sigh matches yours. “Don’t go.”
You laugh, softly. “I have to.”
He wraps his arms around your lower back, pulling you up against him. “I’m sure I could persuade you to stay.”
“Try.” You whisper.
He pushes you onto your back and hovers above you, smiling so softly down at you. “All I’ve wanted since meeting you is to wake up next to you. It’s a new feeling for me… But getting to wake up next to you, and seeing how absolutely endearing you are with ‘bedhead’ and your sleepy voice, makes me want nothing more than to do this every morning.”
You look up at him, wide eyed at his confession. Tech’s not been one for being forthright with his emotions, so this is new. And it melts your heart. You’d love to hear him tell you these sweet nothings every day.
As if he can read your thoughts, he kisses you again. “I know I don’t speak about how I feel a lot… but I feel safe here… with you.”
Your chest tightens and you pull him toward you, crushing your lips to his. He groans softly, his hand sliding down to grip your hip, anchoring you to him and the bed.
“Let me convince you to stay.” He murmurs, kissing your neck.
“I don’t need any more convincing.” You smile with a hum. “I’ll call in and we can stay in bed all day.”
“Sounds lovely.” He nuzzles his nose against your jaw as he presses his growing length up against your already eager warmth, making you gasp softly.
“Maybe you could use… other incentives to make me stay.” You tease him and he chuckles, darkly, catching on immediately.
“Say no more, darling.” He nods as he shows you just how much he loves waking up next to you.
You really could get used to this… perhaps one day, he’d leave the war and battles behind to be safe here in this bed with you… where nothing bad could happen to him, and you wouldn’t have to worry so much every time he leaves.
Perhaps, he’ll choose these soft mornings with you, too.

Life Update After a Few Days: October 18th, 2023 🎀
I’ve been a little busy with school, work, resting, and starting my workout routine back up, so here’s a little update!
I’m getting a tattoo soon! I know the aesthetic of my blog is pink and girly and coquette and I love everything that comes with the aesthetic and the lifestyle but I have an affinity for gothic style/spooky tattoos, so I’m getting a decent sized spider tattoo on my right thigh and I’m super excited! This is the first big ish sized tattoo besides the two small ones I have, and it’s the first tattoo appointment I’ve ever made so I’m really excited. A little anxious, especially for the shading portion of it, but I’m looking forward to how good it’s going to look when it’s finished and how much more confident it’s going to make me!
I’ve started working out at the gym again! My current schedule is three days of weightlifting (pull day, leg day, push day), and two days of just cardio. It feels so nice both mentally and physically to be taking care of myself like this again. I even bought some new workout shorts and gym clothes and I’m feeling better than ever! I’m focusing on improving my mental health right now and working out is doing wonders for me!
I’m working so much right now, but it’s worth it because I need the money for rent, tattoos, gym stuff, groceries, and whatever other necessities and wants pop up. I’m pulling doubles most Saturdays and it’s a little tiresome and energy draining but I’m managing pretty well. I won’t pull doubles every Saturday tho because that drives me straight into burnout and I’m trying to avoid that.
I hit 31 days on Duolingo and I’m at 28 days on Busuu, super proud of myself for keeping up with those two goals for now! I’m still working through the first two lessons of Genki and I’m still using the Kanji app but my studying has been a little bit more spread out because of my busy schedule. I’m trying to learn how to better balance multiple things without hyperfixating on just one and forgetting about everything else. I’ve noticed I tend to do that and that’s not the most productive thing for me.
I think I mentioned in a previous post that I spent a lot of money on stuff from Amazon (and Ulta) and most of it is here already besides the last couple Amazon items coming in today! I love the workout clothes I bought and the fitness/health tracker planner I bought is really interesting. I also got my language tracking bullet journal stuff in the mail so I am super looking forward to starting that up soon. Again, I noticed I tend to hyperfixate on one thing at a time but right now I’m trying to balance all my interests and things I need to do. My current “balance breakup” is: fitness/nutrition, Japanese language study, school/classes and academic success, work/making money, self care (sleep, skincare, reading, journaling, etc), boyfriend time, appointments, and chores/cleaning/housework. Sounds like a lot but there’s 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week. Not everything has to be done in one day and as long as I manage my time efficiently, then I’ll be successful. I also try to take into account my energy levels, daily tasks, possible “curveballs”, and my current physical and mental/emotional well being. Flexibility is a must in my life but I do like having routines and things to stick to, plan and schedule wise.
I’ve been working on some posts ideas for this blog so it’s not just daily updates and stuff, but actual tips, advice, and my current routines and schedules too, to maybe help motivate and inspire you guys! I have some things in mind currently, so hopefully I can find the time to type them up and post them!
Thank you guys for 850+ followers! I never thought my blog could grow like this and I’m super happy it has! This community has given me such a safe and comforting place where I can just be myself without worry. I appreciate all of you so much!! I hope all of you have amazing days, amazing sleep, amazing skin, amazing grades, and that life is going great for all of you!
that’s pretty much all I have to update you on for now. I will be posting a Daily Check In tonight about how today went as well, to help me get back on track with posting!

uhhh guys I just realized I have a really big problem
I’ve officially oc-ified mako I repeat I have oc-ified mako. it’s happened. do you know how I know this? I drew him (I know, shocker) with grown out-ish hair and a lightning scar on his face. HE DOESNT EVEN LOOK LIKE CANON MAKO ANYMORE BESIDES HIS DUMB EYEBROWS HELP
I genuinely cannot escape this goofy ass orphan.
anyway here’s a list of mako hcs (under the cut)
gets called pretty boy four hundred thousand times a day and bolin makes fun of him for it because he’s a big scary police officer who gets flirted with by criminals he brought in. and I know I have it in the tags of some old post somewhere but bolin got called champ by a girl he was on a date with once and mako absolutely used that against him in retaliation
he’s shy but not in the nervous around people way. he’s shy in the awkward really intense eye contact because he doesn’t want to sound weird when he talks way. if he didn’t have extrovert guidance counselor bolin he would just never speak to anyone
i also firmly believe he is either mildly autistic or has severe anxiety (he’s me)
he cries once a year (exactly 365 days apart) at exactly four o’clock on the hour and has done this since he was ten.
remember that one episode where mako was like ‘where’s chief beifong’ ‘are you okay chief you’ve been asleep for sixteen hours’ and ‘chief is really good at her job the city’s lucky to have her’ on zaofu. pretty sure it was ‘old wounds’? that’s how he is all the time. he says chief at least 463 times an hour and a month into working at the station people just give mako an update on the chief as soon as he walks up to them. she’s his mom your honor. tenzin is always fighting demons when he sees mako look at lin like she’s his mom and she’s like. chill with it. he’s like ain’t NO way. basically mako gets one female figure of authority in his life and immediately latches onto her as a mother figure. lin is grudgingly accepting because he’s kind of pathetic and sad looking (he reminds her of herself)
he’s transmasc. I don’t make the rules (I do in fact make the rules)
as you know from that one post, mako is absolutely a great chef.
I think he’d either be a charcoal artist or a really good writer. only charcoal artist, but he would do all kinds of writing—short stories, novels, poetry, journalism, whatever. he’d occupy himself on late nights he couldn’t fall asleep on an empty stomach with made up stories and he just started to get really good. but he also hasn’t gone to school since he was eight so he’d get frustrated if he doesn’t know the word for something. if he drew it would be hyperrealistic portraits (he’s trying to remembers his parents’ faces)
kind of related to that but I think mako loves reading/writing but is a natural math genius.
I know I’m a little insane about, like, character parallels but I just KNOW katara sees herself in mako.
so azula is my all time fav girl right. so she and mako both generally maintain a good poker face or a facade that masks genuine constant rage right. (just agree with me) but at the end of atla. azula’s breakdown. now, now hear me out. mako->azula style breakdown when he finally loses his shit. he’s just so girl coded and azula’s rage seems so. fitting for him I guess. it’s also the inherent feminine anger of firebending I guess? I’ll explain that one later. probably. hopefully. I have so many posts I’m planning to write oh my god.

the mako in my head also looks a lot more like bolin—and bolin might have some of the more angular fn features as well to balance them out and make them look like, yk, actual mixed kids.

I kinda miss being like super intrenched into the omegaverse fandom. Like obviously people haven’t forgotten about my blog and stuff but like idk I don’t post as much about pups anymore and that was like my niche. Idk I have a friend now that allows me to yap hardcore to them so hopefully I’ll post way more soon once I’m able to put things in better words with the help of my friend. Idk it’s not super hard to be my friend if u interact with me I’ll prob dm you if I’m interested. Idk idk idk it’s 5 AM here as I type this lol like honestly shout-out to @kimira-k and @wolfpawzjakey bc they’ve really like made omegaverse way more fun for me and way more like accepting and cool I’m a very anxious person so anytime I think about posting anything I get too scared to do it so that’s why I originally made this blog with alpha mod but like yk yk alone now but my two friends have made it better and like they like me and my ideas??? Insane to me! Literally I have so much lore and ideas that I’ve been working on for years and I just have to type it up and post it but it’s really fun to talk about this stuff bc it’s my special interest and has been for soooooo long

hey, hello. i’m not sure if you’ll recognize me, but this is mania.sama on ao3, and i just now found your tumblr on my for you page. i havent had tumblr very long, and it’s surprised just how many people i’ve enjoyed works of (writing, drawings, etc) are here. especially surprised to see you — not in a bad way, of course!
i’m not sure what to say. sorry, maybe, for not reading / up to date with your current fic. i want to be reading it, i really do, but i was caught up reading “crime and punishment”, focusing on my academia, etc, among other issues that’s kept me away from committing to any long-form fanfictions. i wasn’t even reading one-shots or writing anything for a little while. hopefully i will be getting back onto your fic so, because from what little i’ve read already when you first posted it, it’s going to be life-changing.
i want to say more, i think. ask a question or two? i’m just very excited to see that your also drawing — amazing artwork for the second perspective!! i genuinely couldn’t believe it was real at first — and also a similar age to me, which i find nearly unbelievable due to your insane talent and skill.
hm. i think i’ll ask this question: what are your top favorite books? this could be fanfiction, short-form stories, novels, series, etc. you can list as many as you want; if they seem significant to you, have changed you, or were simply that well done and enjoyable. you dont need to treat this as a book recommendation; think not what other people should read. just express your own thoughts on why you have chosen these works as your favorite! i’m excited to see what you have to say (should you chose to answer, of course!)

I go back from time to time and I read our little conversation in my comments threads and I get a little teary-eyed ( embarrassingly ). You gave me such a different perspective on my own writing and I've spent a while wishing there was something I could do to make you feel the same way in return.

Hmmm . . . to answer your question.
This is pretty difficult because I've loved a lot of books over the years for nothing specific at all ( some of them are quite ridiculous if I'm being honest ). But here goes nothing:
When I was little ( maybe three-four ish? ), I loved Tumtum & Nutmeg, a series about a mouse couple living inside of a refurbished cupboard, because the books always came with recipes at the back ( that I would make for my family ). When I think about reading/my favorite books when I was a child, I always go back to this blurry rose-colored vision of me sitting on the couch at seven a.m., Tuesday morning, waiting to go to school, and talking my mother's ear off about the pastries in the book while Planet Earth plays on the TV.
Lately, though, I've enjoyed reading Breasts and Eggs by Kawakami Mieko. Which, for a lot of reasons, has deeply resonated with me and kind of ruined my life. Womanhood in Japan, and womanhood in general, is dissected so well and explored with a lot of different character perspectives. It's just an incredible work and deeply personal to me as a queer, Japanese, and afab person.
Empire of Pain, which was recommended to me by a friend, has become one of my favorite books as well. I've never really done well with non-fiction, but reading about the Sacklers definitely changed that.
No Longer Human, and School Girl by Dazai Osamu. NLH I read in a school context ( Japanese language-learning classes ) and I wasn't really allowed to love it because of that ( who likes required reading? ). But I went back to it a few years later, when I was really struggling mentally, and it became something to me that I can't quite name or place. Not really a comfort. I'd actually say it was more of a wake-up call to teen me that actually prompted me to seek out help and rip down the fourth wall I'd put up between myself and others. School Girl I love for more technical reasons. Dazai really was a once-in-a-century talent.
Poor Folk, by Fyodor Dostoevsky, was my reading-for-enjoyment book during spring semester of my first year at college. I loved a lot about it, but it's on this list because I'm emotionally attached to the characters because we were together for so long.
On a less serious note: Bungo Stray Dogs ( Obviously, despite whatever Asagiri is cooking up) and Yona of the Dawn by Kusanagi Mizuho. Next to BSD, it's one of the manga I've been a fan of for over a decade, and I just could not imagine my life without it.
Flowers for Algernon. I read this . . . oh gosh. Years ago. And I never reread it. That's all I'll say about that.
Kira-Kira by Cynthia Kadohata. Again, a Japanese author ( there would be more, but I'm keeping myself contained here ) who would have thought? I think, by now, it's pretty clear I'm Japanese myself. Kira-Kira ( a Japanese onomatopoeia/mimetic word meaning 'sparkling' ) was a tearjerker, yes, but it also made me look out into the world and at my own identity with a much kinder lens. I fell in love with my own name ( which is the mimetic word for 'smile' --- niko-niko ) all over again. And I think, for that, it makes the list.
Honestly, I'm not sure these are my favorites. They're just the ones that come to my mind when I think about reading and liking literature in general. I'm sure if I was an English major or a CompLit major ( or if I was feeling particularly pretentious today ), I'd have more to say about them in terms of actual 'quality' or about their themes, but I don't.
I also want to say thank you so much for reaching out and asking this!! it's been so fun ( especially since I just got done writing a mind-boggling mess of a chapter for TSP hehe ). I really enjoyed talking to you the first time around and now that you're here on tumblr!!! I hope we can interact more I'd really love to be friends :,) <3

Weekly update March 22, 2024
I’m still exhausted beyond words. I’m also on a bit of a spiral where I’m worried about the quality of my art and about my output, but it’s okay because I’m chipping away at old big projects still and as soon as classwork is subsided I’m going to try to learn a new skill, because any time I feel insufficient I learn a new skill so I can be better. Classes have been kicking my ass mostly but hopefully big things will be coming sooner rather than later.
I’ve been doing a number of drawings to time myself and update my comms. Turns out I’m a lot less consistent than I thought so it’ll be a bit longer till I get prices sorted out but it’s coming along. Also good chance I’ll add more on to it later once I sort out more things I can offer. My usual drawing style will be the main one, but I’m hoping I can also add the epithet erased style, the chibi dnd mini style I do sometimes, options for backgrounds, and eventually also music.
Problem with music though has been my exhaustion. The only music stuff I’ve really been drilling at has been bigger projects, but I’d like to just sit down and do a small beat as well at some point. Once I catch up with classwork I might try. I have been chipping away at a couple instrumental pieces, as well as the larger vocal cover and I did some lyric writing today for the two ‘finished mostly’ ones I’ve been sitting on. I did have to scrap and redo a character theme for the second time this week but once I have some time with a clear mind I can reroute that one and use the melody I wrote for the last draft. In development right now are an ambient character theme, a 16bit-ish instrumental theme, a Zelda medley, a song cover with Kyo, a small gabber song with no affiliation to anything, the two original vocal songs, one symphonic rock and one EDM, and a handful of others that I haven’t been actively working on. As soon as I have significant time I’m going to try to finish off some of them.
Once the music is finished I’ll have to throw visuals together for them too. I really want to put in effort to make animation rigs again but I don’t have the time or energy. I might do one for the vocal cover song since I could be reusing the character but I’m not sure it’ll be necessary. Once the cover is done I’ll storyboard something and decide then.
Comic is also still going, I haven’t had a ton of time to do thumbnailing/writing, but I should be down to the last scene. No guarantee I won’t have to add more after editing, but it’s getting there. Once that’s done I’ll try to post roughs of specific panels so it’s a bit easier to keep track of where it’s at. The thumbnailing is a big bottleneck right now because it takes a lot of brain power but it’s almost done. If I get myself together this next week it should be done by the next update. No promises though, I have a lot of classwork.
Last couple things, a good amount of my exhaustion is the result of insomnia, but I’ve been using that time to plan out TTRPG campaign stuff. I think I have some really fun creative encounters. I think I probably will try to write it out and find a way to release it, just in the interest of getting more people to play the anime campaign system (or whatever they end up renaming it to when the epithet erased version of the rules drops… eventually). I might throw together art for that too, but that’ll be a ways off, after the writing and encounters are done. Plus ideally I’d want the module to be available for free, so I don’t need to add too much anyway.
Last thing, as I mentioned I’m a bit unsatisfied with where I am with art stuff. I want to thank everyone who has been sticking around, I am trying to make it worthwhile for you too. But whenever I am unsatisfied with myself I need to learn a new skill, so I may be dipping my toes into pixel art soon. I do have that 16bit ish instrumental song I mentioned, that’s been on the back burner since January but I’ve finally been hit with the inspiration to finish it, and a little pixel animation would be nice to go with it, but that would require me to learn pixel art itself first, so I’ll try to do that in the coming weeks. Idk how soon though.
This next week will be primarily dedicated to clearing up schoolwork and fixing my sleep problem. After that I’ll try finishing up that cover song, finishing up comic thumbnailing, and finishing up that instrumental song, in that order. Anything else is a bonus. Will class work and insomnia get in the way? Probably, but I’m still doing my best.

Another Stranger Things post, 2 in one day. Not the greatest thing I've written but hopefully its cute enough.
Eddie x Reader
You had just gotten in to a fight with your friend, for whatever reason, and now cause of this falling out you no longer had a ride home and you didn’t want to ring your boyfriend, he had plans with a couple of the members from Hellfire and didn't want to bother him or seem like a burden.
So you began the hour-ish trek home, but it wasn’t long for the sky opened as a storm came to life over Hawkins. You weren't even a 3rd of the way home and yet you soaked, cold and crying, as you kept wondering if it could get any worse and as if fate heard you, you tripped over something on the pavement, scraping your knees, legs and both palms and wrist.
When that happened, all you wanted to do was just scream but instead you stood up, albeit painful and with fresh tears in your eyes. You did your best to ignore the pain for the moment and continued to walk home.
You didn’t know how long you had been walking, when a van pulled up beside, the headlight on full, as you heard someone calling your name, a voice you knew too well. You turned to see Eddie, looking at you with a look of concern out of the window.
“Hey, why don’t you come join me in the warmth” He called out, “Get out this horrible rain” he insisted with a smile.
It took you longer than it should of to decide to get into the vehicle, so moving around the passage side and opening door you slid in. As soon as the door was closed there a blanket being wrapped around you, then pulled in hug as kisses were being placed all over your hair.
“You could of called, I would of come to pick you up, it really wouldn’t of been a problem especially with this storm” He spoke, as he held for a moment trying to some additional heat, “Your friend was worried when you walked off and didn't coming back after your little fight, explained what happened once they got hold of me” Eddie said
You mumbled a few thing under your breath, making Eddie chuckle having caught a couple of the mumbled words.
“I’ll let you put on ABBA, if you want but only cause your soaked and hurt” he offered, though he was making it out to be almost painful to say, pulling a cassette tape out, that was always in here, just for you, and put it in, “Tell anyone about this and I’ve deny it, I have a reputation to up hold”
You giggled at his dramatic act, and pressing a kiss into his cheek, as ABBA began to fill the van up, making you feel better than as you danced away a little as Eddie began to drive again, finally taking you home.
“Thanks for coming to get me” You thanked him
“Anytime love, I mean can’t have anything happen to my sacrifice lamb before I can offer you to the dark lord” he smiled at you, “Though I’m not sure I'll get much for you” he said, with a laugh.
You smacked him on the arm before wincing, holding your wrist that was now throbbing in more pain now, so you stuck your tongue at him instead. You have no doubt in your mind, Eddie would take you inside quickly, with a hello to your mother before dragging you upstairs to clean your injuries, with some minor berating, that you would makes some little noise as if agreeing with him.
Sometimes you wished more people would see this side of Eddie, the caring compassionate side, but you also like only having to share this side with a few people.
For the rest of the ride you just looked at the him, smiling knowing that this metalhead was all yours.

INTRO POST
Hello hello everyone!
For quite a few years now, I’ve been a big fan of the band The Arcadian Wild. (They’re a small-ish bluegrass band from Tennessee.) I could say a lot about how much I love their music and the impact it’s had on me! So, as technically a New Year’s resolution but more of a long-term goal:
I’m making a piece of art for each song by The Arcadian Wild!
I’m hoping that I can improve at a lot of different art forms, and make something I’m proud of! And, I’m chronicling my journey right here on the site ever :D
I’m also trying my darndest to keep this little blog organized. Every post will (hopefully) be tagged with the song and album name, and its classification (song intro, project commentary, etc.) Again, I’m hoping to keep a record of this whole endeavor, so there should be progress updates, mishaps, and more!
The intro post for Rain Clouds should be up soon, and I’ll start sketching for it! Please listen to The Arcadian Wild and/or follow this blog in the meantime, it would make my day :]

Nope. Just a fan that wants to pay homage to a band that means a lot to me. It’d be cool if they somehow see this though

The pfp’s just a little doodle I did- I have an idea for a more unique one, but I have to wait until it’s not winter anymore :P
Q: Do you have any rules?
Loose ones? I’m trying to go in song release order as much as I can, and I’m trying to have each one be a different art form, within reason. Also, I’ll be changing my blog title to be a good line from the song I’m currently working on. (And yes, this is mostly in the WBFAQIAWH2AQ so I can get the information across lol)
Q: Will you have a consistent schedule?
Nope. Because I’m terrible at planning and it’d just stress me out 😅
Some of my project plans need to be in a specific season, so I’m vaguely planning around that? But honestly, the idea was to have fun and make art about music I love, so I’d rather not worry about it too much.
Q: Can I submit art I made?
Kinda- it won’t replace mine for the project. But I would absolutely love to be tagged if you make anything related to The Arcadian Wild!! I’d love to give you a reblog! I’m just here to appreciate and celebrate their music :D

It turns out that escaping death particles, frankensteining an army out of the corpses of his own people, and letting an AI share his brain eventually takes its toll.
There we go! Now everyone knows how much I’ve been floundering with wips in the last few months hahah. I’m hoping I get out of the rut I’ve hit with campervan au soon, but said rut is definitely making me more distractable. Trestle was going very well until I realised that it was much bigger than I anticipated (I was at almost 40k and realised I wasn’t even halfway through rip) and then hit a rut with that too, and now my brain isn’t letting me write rip. So I’m just taking a break now, and hopefully I’ll get back on the wagon sooooon.
