Sk8 The infinity Headcanons
->holding their hand<-
Miya
...come on, you really think he would hold your hand? be for real..no.
Reki
he would lock his fingers between yours like... he has a GOOD grip on your hand. he has rough hands from working with skateboards. loves when you do the thumb thing while holding his hand but if needed situations he would do it to you to.
Langa
he is not big on physical touch so dont expect much from him. wouldnt hold your hand while walking but would brush against it from time to time. loves to lock pinkys with you while you two sit together or whatever the situation is as long as youre not walking.

color dynamics
so obviously we've got the red/blue dynamic
Like renga and klance and all that good stuff which works because they're polar opposites of each other. (Edit: FORGOT CAITVI)
There's also the black orange dynamic
Like kagehina and sasunaru and to an extent, shatt (yes that is their actual ship name) which is almost ALWAYS rivals (ANOTHER EDIT FORGOT RAYEMMA)
And then a personal fav of red/green
Like LadyNoir, Zolu, and matchablossom.
Like idk color theory or science or shit but THERES GOTTA BE A PATTERN HERE. why is red and blue sometimes so good, and sometimes red and green? I do not know.
EDITING THIS CAUSE THE AMAZING @astriddestelle CALLED ME OUT!!
Pink and black is also a fan favorite featuring itafushi, sasusaku, and whatever that ship is called

I just realised that all the media I adore has some level of autistic/neurodivergent coding and it's been that way since I was a child.
And like, oftentimes their different way of perceiving and being in the world is the driving force of the story/and or a crucial element in it.
There’s the canon example of the entire Camp Halfblood (ADHD), where the ADHD is literally what keeps the characters alive.
There's Dean Winchester (ADHD) whose hyperfixations are typically masculine (as well as geeky) and who never sits still, with the added bonus of Castiel (Autism), who Dean just... accepts, in a way I rarely see.
Then there’s the infamous Will Graham (Autism) whose hyperempathy is litterally the focal point of the entire narrative.
We have Haru from Free! (Autism), whose special interest (swimming) is the motivating factor for several other characters.
Reki and Langa from Sk8 the infinity (Autism), who share a special interest and grow a special bond because of it.
There's Sai from Hikaru No Go (Autism), who trancedented time and space to play Go (special interest) and whose special interest sets the story into motion.
We have any version of Sherlock Holmes (AuDHD), who's brilliance I attribute to a mixture of hyperfixations and special interest in crime solving. His conflicts with society and disregard of social norms are a central theme as well.
There's Anne with an E (Autism), who loves words and stories and speaks before she thinks (where all major problems arise due to her lack of understanding for social norms)
We have Pat and Pran from Bad Buddy (ADHD + Autism), like I dunno, I just really felt that vibe.
There's Beth Harmon from Queen's Gambit (Autism) with her special interest in Chess.
And like, the list goes on: Daryl Dixon, Jon Snow, Kotaro from Kotaro Lives Alone, Will Treaty from the Ranger's apprentice, Hal from the same author, Katniss Everdeen, Si-eun from Weak Hero Class 1, etc.
Don't get me wrong I've consumed plenty of stories without characters coded this way, but all the stories that truly resonated with me? Neurodivergent, all of them.
It's probably because the focus on social norms/hierarchy always seemed foreign to me. Eg. I like Skam but it's like a view into a completely foreign world where people function differently.

(not me writing angst and sad shit when i get my feelings hurt, whaaaat🗣️)
Miya
you all know how Miya is strict about his diet in the anime (for those who watched), well thats because he has an eating disorder but doesnt want to admit it to himself because he thinks he is perfect. Sometimes when he does eat some junk food that he was forced to eat by Reki or Langa, he makes himself throw it up as soon as possible. Which lead him to fainting due to the lack of calories intake, stomach issues and much more.
Reki
Reki is a glass child. Which may be obviuse in the anime? but im not sure. Reki always felt like he wasnt good enough for anyone or anything, like anything he did was wrong like his whole existence was a mistake. which lead him to trying to take his own life. He also struggles a lot with self harm and for a long time now, of course none of his family noticed that or his unusual behavior.
Langa
since Langas father passed away since he was a kid, he searchs for him in other men. He may be young but having a male adult look over him and love him was all he ever wanted. He started talking to older guys...like way older than you might think. Which lead to other things like having a intimate relationship with many older men.
thank you for reading and i must say i do NOT romanticize any of the topics said in this blog, please again if anyone is struggling with any kind if this stuff seek help or talk to someone you trust !! love you all smm!!💗
