a/n: i hope this is okay, i'm feeling a bit rusty with my writing but i've finally got back some motivation and energy to do so after the past two months of low energy and bad mental health. if you guys want to know a bit more about it and my mental health (i don't see why anyone would but lmao) let me know, i don't mind making a post about it if you guys want an explanation of some sort or whatever. anywho, sorry this is so short but i hope you still like it!! <3

a/n 2.0: i recently applied for a part time job at a bookstore so y'all pray for me that i get this job because i want it so bad. i am just gonna decide that i WILL get this job, because why wouldn't i?

simon had been out of surgery for just over an hour now, being a soldier you 'd think perhaps he was going under surgery for some kind of wound he had inflicted upon him on the battlefield but no, he was just getting his tonsils removed after a bad bout of tonsillitis ended up with him developing really bad tonsil stones.

so here you were, waiting by his bedside for him to wake up. the doctor and nurses reminded you just as he had gotten out that he may still be a little, well loopy, off of the meds depending on how quickly he woke up. you waited in a chair at his bedside, reading a book when you heard the blankets of the bed rustling just a little.

looking up from your book you see simon starting to wake up and you reach out to grasp his hand, only for him to rip it away from you when his eyes were fully opened.

"uh, si? you okay, hon?" you ask gently, maybe he just wasn't feeling too well after waking up, or perhaps he wasn't wanting physical touch, that happened quite often and you always respected that space he may want when he wanted it.

"don't call me that." simon said, voice hoarse and scratchy from the surgery, he sounded a little angry.

"what?" you questioned, this wasn't like simon, you couldn't understand why he wouldn't want you speaking like this to him.

"i'm taken."

"i know." you replied with a short laugh.

"you should be touching me like that then."

it hit you then, he was woozy from the meds and didn't recognize you. the realization made you laugh a little more. you decided to have a bit of fun with this high version of your boyfriend.

"sorry about that simon. wanna tell me about your partner?"

"oh, (name)? they're amazing, you know they're so pretty. and they're funny too. they always know how to make me feel better, i miss them." simon replies, ranting and raving on and on to you about his partner, about you.

"you love them a lot, don't you?" you ask him with a smile, it felt so nice to hear all these lovely things about yourself, your boyfriend clearly unfiltered by the effects of the anesthesia he was under.

sure he definitely said sweet things to your face, but something about hearing it when he was basically high as shit made your heart pound a little more.

"i love them with my whole heart." simon replies, a goofy little smile on his face.

you can't help but reach out to gently caress his face at those words, body filling up with some much adoration for the soldier in front of you.

"hey! what did i say about touching me. i have a partner!" simon scolds, trying to dodge your touch.

"simon, love... i am your partner. it's me, (name)." you reply with a laugh.

simon takes a good long look at you when you tell him this, he stares at you, looks you up and down before letting out a soft and quiet "oh."

you begin to hear the beeping of his heart rate monitor speed up, his cheeks turning slightly pink as he stares up at you.

you couldn't help but laugh a little more at this. what a sweet idiot. your sweet idiot.

Awe tysm! Of course, I can, I love writing about music 😭 I had to delve into the depths of my Spotify to actually see what bands I know, that I should pick for these guys. This totally isn't me projecting btw.

I ended up just giving them a band they like and a singular musical artist.

(I've been forgetting to specify or elaborate on this, most of the time, unless mentioned, these silly's are in present day and not like the 60s lmao.)

Demo and Hozier oh my god, its insane how much he likes him. I don't know how to elaborate on this further, but like, "Would That I"??? I feel like he loves that song! Also, I feel like all I have to say is "Take Me To Church" and I know some people will understand that immediately. This man just uses music as escapism, of course he likes Hozier.

Will Wood and The Tapeworms is a band that I've already deemed one of Demo favorites because of "The First Step." but this man just genuinely loves all of the songs. "The First Step", "Front Street", "6up 5oh Copout (Pro/Con)" and "Hand Me My Shovel, I'm Going In!" Are his favorites though.

Engie is a hardcore Dolly Parton fan. I know it's played out, I know it's obvious, I know its tropey, but I can't deny that this man loves Dolly Parton. Like this man is head of the fan club and I won't stop saying it. It would be wrong for me to pretend he doesn't heavily relate to "9 to 5."

Also loves the Chordettes oddly enough? He thinks all the way they sing is beautiful. He adores the cover of "Hello! Ma Baby". But is also a sucker for the popular ones, "Mr. Sandman" and "Lollipop". I will say though, it's utterly disturbing to the other mercs when it's like midnight and they get up for something and just here a really softly played "Mr. Sandman". Only one not disturbed is Medic, but like, it's hard to disturb a man who also has been known to play those old eerie songs at odd hours, they bond over this.

This man loves Elton John, he loves how he can relate heavily to some of the songs and then just genuinely enjoy other ones with no other meaning. Like he'll listen to "I'm Still Standing", and feel a lot of emotions from it, and then like "Crocodile Rock" will come on and just vibe to it.

Heavy also likes the Beetles. I don't know I just think he likes way the songs are sung, and the meaning he pulls from the lyrics themselves. Reads into music a lot and values being able to do that. Likes songs about love, and the Beetles are great for that. Don't get him started on "I Want To Hold Your Hand", and "Eleanor Rigby".

MARINA being Medics favorite is a mix of him being a teen girl in my mind, and an actual genuine ability to relate to some of the songs. I will say this until the day I die. This man has never felt good enough. Not even once. He's always working to try and get better, and once he does get better he's moving the goal post of getting better. Has played "Are You Satisfied" more times than you can count. "Oh No" and "Hermit The Frog" are also one's he finds himself both loving and relating to.

Would you guys be mad if I said this man was obsessed with Queen? (I am not projecting here, I swear!) Similarly to Heavy, he's a sucker for a romantic song or two. Loves "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy" Also you want to talk about not feeling good enough, loops "Bohemian Rhapsody" Have you guys seen the Bohemian Rhapsody movie? You guys know the scene where Freddie (Rami Malek) is singing "Bohemian Rhapsody" and sings the line "I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all!" and has a slight break because he realizes he just actually said that? Yeah. That's how Medic feels when he first hears the song. But on a lighter note he also likes "Killer Queen" and "I Want To Break Free."

(Went crazy on this one, I really just need to make an entire breakdown on Medic one of these days 😭)

Scout is a Tom Cardy fan. I don't know how to elaborate without just yelling "Mixed Messages" like come on. Also, have you guys heard "H.S" Man he loves that song! Also oops another mini headcanon inside a headcanon, Sniper introduced him to Tom Cardy when he had "Read Between The Lines" playing one day.

Mindless Self Indulgence is a tad self-explanatory but who am I not to explain something in graphic detail? Gives him such confidence and makes him feel so cool. I already headcanon that he loves "Get It Up" so it's only natural that his favorite band made a song he loves. I stand by what others have said. Trans boy swag, well also a mix of that and white boy swag. White trans boy swag makes a Mindless Self Indulgence fan.

Sniper- Honestly? I racked my brain for this one, and I'm going to get silly with this. I'm going to say he likes George Ezra, purely because "Budapest" reminds me so much of him. I think he'd love that song. Another case of putting his emotions into his music or more like, liking music that conveys his emotions? Ough the song just gives me Sniper angst vibes.

Uh controversial opinion, what the frick??? Oingo Boingo fan. Again something I can't but he loved "Dead Man's Party" It's just a song he's always really liked. "No Spill Blood" and "Controller" are also ones he likes. I feel like "weird" music is his favorite genre of music.

I hate to say it but Spy is a fan of Olivia Rodrigo. I'm not going to lie, he's the second most teen girl-coded person on the team. Sings "bad idea right?", "Brutal", and "good 4 you". Sings them in the shower, the other mercs are sick of it 😭

Is it too much to say Mother Mother for the fact that I love Spy angst and can see him crying over "Arms Tonite" and relating to "Verbatim" so hard it's insane? Ugh, I live for Spy angst. I want him to be happy too but it's so easy to put angst😭. (Also I can't stress how much "Wrecking Ball"

Soldier is a sucker for AC/DC. Dad music (I say this with love, I get why people like AC/DC they have good music.)This man is just a criminally insane dad, in my mind anyway. The other mercs have been woken up to "Highway to Hell" once or twice and have let Soldier play "Thunderstruck" as hype music before a battle.

I think he likes Tom Petty, like how are you going to tell me he doesn't love "I Won't Back Down" and "Free Falling" just loves the sound of the music itself (if that makes any sense) more focused on the sounds instead of the actual meaning.

Pyro is a huge fan of Jack Stauber. They adore the music. Enjoys the pop of "There's Something Happening" and loves the slow and sad sounds in "Cupid" Ugh they just love Jack Stauber so much. The only issue they had was when they first listened to "Bumblebees Are Out" it caused a meltdown, poor Pyro was reminded of trauma they forgot. Engie had to calm them down for an hour after. (They're okay, don't worry!)

PYRO IS A JUGGALO 100% I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL. They kick their legs while listening to "Imma Kill U". Listen to "My Axe" and replace any mention of an axe with their flamethrower, in their head. I'm just imagining an AMV or just seeing Pyro walking to "Boogie Woogie Wu" and scaring the shit out of anyone and everyone.

I've seen your post about Ron's positive/underrated traits, one of them being kindness and how if he was a girl, he would be characterised as a caretaker. However, that trait is overlooked by most of the fandom. Do you think the fact that Ron is a boy has something to do with it (since kindness and being caring are generally considered "feminine" virtues and men with "feminine" traits are either overlooked or looked down upon)? If he was a girl, would his love and devotion be appreciated more?

Its a mix. Mostly they are being ignored bcz people don't remember them. Why? Bcz they watch movies/read out of character fanfics more than they read books.

Ron helps Harry to put his pajama on in COS.

Ron wants to make Hagrid tea when Hagrid is upset bcz that's what his mom does.

Ron forces Hermione to eat a decent meal when she is ignoring her dinner for study.

Ron cuts bacons and puts them on Harry's plate when he is hurting from Umbridge's scar.

Now. People don't remember them. Partly bcz they don't read books. Partly bcz they DON'T want to like him. They focus on what they want to see and exaggerate those ten times. They only remember how much abusive he is to Hermione and how he 'betrayed' Harry.

It's same with Ron and Hermione. Its always 'oH hOw mUcH tHeY fIgHt' but never how many times Ron jumps into her defence, how much times she spends time with Ron without Harry, how Hermione apologises to him, him apologises to her, how Hermione stands up against twins for him, how she kisses on his cheek to distract him from the song Malfoy wrote, how she is absolutely devastated when he isn't with her in DH. (They do focus on that scene though. Very much. Just in a different way. They use it to say he 'abandoned' them) how much happy she is when He isn't with lavender anymore, how many times he consoles her effortlessly, how many times he calls her amazing and brillaint. Etc etc

People don't want to love Ron. Bcz

1. He is red head, poor, comes from a working class family, wears hand me down stuff. West romanticizes/sympathizes with the rich. Not with the poor. There's HEAVY classism in the Harry Potter fandom.

2. Most Men see themselves as Harry. Most Women see themselves as Hermione. And they don't exactly want friends of Harry. They want followers. Who would bindly worship and follow him. They want someone who would worship the ground Hermione walks on. Needless to say Ron doesn't do either of those two things. Lmao

3. Women want to bang whatever character they personally fancy and use Hermione as a SI blank slate. So they cant digest Ron as he 'comes in the way' of their fap material fanfics.

4. Ron doesn't have anyone defending him. Whenever Hermione messes up, Hagrid, Luna, the narrative are there to defend her. Heck even Harry defends her once in HBP. When Harry messes up he has the abused orphan card. Plus narrative support and Hermione. Whenever Ron messes up who is there to defend him? If anything narrative doubles down to bash him.

5. Ron's flaws hit home much harder than Harry or Hermione's. Each and everyone atleast once feels jealousy, envy, insecurities in their life. But if you are white, will you understand Malfoy's racism? Or if you aren't an orphan can you understand Harry being self centred? These are superficial flaws. Ron's are REAL flaws. Peoole don't want to be reminded of their flaws.

Ron gets very much injustice from this fandom. People don't value him. Forget about treating him as 1/3rd of the main characters, they don't even give him the minimum respect. Ron's EVERY positive thing is underrated. Each and every. Not only kindness. His flaws are exaggerated, he is bashed, ridiculed, maligned, annihilated. Fandom Ron is an OC. just like fandom Malfoy is an OC.

If he was a girl he would have got Ginny treatment. Ginny gets maligned for coming in the way of Harry ships. Ron would have been treated the same way.

The soft, muted light of a cloudy afternoon filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over the cosy living room. A sense of tranquillity hung in the air, the usual laughter and chatter of TWICE's members absent for the moment. Y/N found herself seated on the couch, a book in her hands, her attention divided between the words on the pages and the sound of raindrops tapping lightly on the window.

Dahyun had been under the weather for the past couple of days, a rare occurrence for the perpetually energetic and vibrant girl. The maknae had taken it upon herself to nurse her back to health, much to Dahyun's initial protests. However, as Dahyun's sniffles grew more pronounced and her energy dwindled, she eventually surrendered to her younger sister's insistence.

Y/N's gaze lifted from the book when she heard a soft cough from the direction of Dahyun's room. Putting the book down, she stood up and padded towards the room, her footsteps almost inaudible on the plush carpet. Pushing the door open, she found her Dahyun unnie curled up in bed, her cheeks flushed with fever, a stark contrast to her usual bright and lively self. The girl tried to speak softly, her voice a soothing melody that cut through the quiet of the room with care.

Y/N - Hey there.

Dahyun glanced up, her eyes brightening at the sight of Y/N even if her throat hurt and she had a massive headache.

Dahyun - Hey, babe.

Y/N - How are you feeling? *frown of concern*

Dahyun managed a weak smile.

Dahyun - Like a popsicle in a desert (I'm laughing a little as I write this, sorry guys lmao).

Y/N chuckled and walked closer to the bed. She reached out and gently placed the back of her hand against Dahyun's forehead, checking her temperature.

Dahyun pouted playfully.

Dahyun's eyes twinkled, and she shifted slightly in bed.

As if on cue, Dahyun let out another soft cough, her features scrunching up in discomfort. Y/N's heart clenched at the sight, and she reached out to tuck a loose strand of Dahyun's hair behind her ear.

Y/N - Let's get you something to drink.

The youngest suggested as she moved to the small table by the bedside where a glass of water sat.

I know this might be a tired topic for you, but I watched this video a few weeks ago, and this video was inspiring to any fan of a favourite actor. Matthew Mcconaughey is so inspiring because, like Cillian Murphy and even Daniel Craig, they are svtors who've acted lost in their lives but have had periods of their acting career their peak. In the video at 8:23, Matthew talked about how there was a point where he was the romcom guy and though critics gave him slack foe it, he was grateful for those roles because they kept him financially afloat and he was happy with those roles.

However, creatively, they weren't challenging him, and he decided to make a executive decision and take a risk on his career from being typecast and started to say no to anymore romcom roles for a 1 to 2 yrs. I remember I watched a Heath Ledger interview in the 00s where he also talked about doing the same thing after 10 things i hate about you. A lot of actors you claim are not employed would just be saying no to a lot of offers cause as we know Hollywood loves making a lot of money doing the same thing, lol.

When Matthew came back from that hiatus, he was offered more complex roles such as Killer Joe, Lincoln Laywer, Mud, Magic Mike the list goes on...

Funfact: Christopher Nolan watched Mud, and that was the film that got Matthew interstellar. It's fun to me because the film wasn't commercially great and moderately acclaimed, but it goes to show top ppl in the industry to keep tabs on you when you least expect it.

Ever since I was that video and read up Matthew's story, I haven't worried about Tom ever. I actually think he's in the best peak of his career. The expectations on him from the critics are so low that way he has room to breathe and do work without ppl expecting him to save cinema, lol.

Low expectations breed high rewards. Cillian Murphy is getting his flowers now, but he's been acting since he was a teen, and most of his projects have been mixed sometimes. He's the best thing in them. The beauty of doing projects that are so challenging and different, whether ppl watch, is that it stretches the acting skills of the actor, and that's why Cillain was the perfect Oppenheimer.

So to Tom, fans who are worried about his career and compare him to the yt boy of the month, notice that he has been acting since he was a child and how consistent his career has been. He will always be relevant, like episode 8 for TCR got Twitter in a frenzy. Like I don't worry about at all because Tomvoodoo will prevail lmao.

I have to admit that even I was usually used to Matthew doing mostly comedies growing up, so it was kind of a shock to me when he started doing more serious roles, and I myself was even a little skeptical on if he would really be able to pull it off. But he did! 😁

I think many ppl probably forget that Matthew actually started off his career in the John Grisham legal drama "A Time to Kill" (GREAT book, and GREAT movie btw!). So he had already proven that he could do it. He had just started to get typecast later on in his career. Honestly? I think that's what happens more often than not in Hollywood. 👀

Some actors decide to just take a break, regroup, and then come back and totally revitalize their careers by picking different roles.

izana is confused at this point because emma was not this chaotic when she was a child. don't get me wrong, he and the tenjiku boys absolutely love you, but this was too much for them. they're practically pleading with you to stop and just return to them safely. you're giving them a heart attack at such a young age. our beloved tenjiku boys are crying hard.

aside from dangerous stunts like that, you absolutely loved using your chaos magic on them. while you don't use it maliciously, you enjoy making things float with red psionics, as if you and everyone were in a sort of anti-gravity room. while that sounds amazing, it was terrifying. you enjoy yeeting people and objects up and down, and it's far worse than a rollercoaster with loops. rindou even puked once.

you also enjoyed joining them during gang fights, which gave them heart attacks. you're safely staying on the sides one minute. the next thing they know, you're confronting a delinquent from the opposing gang, asking them what color to draw the car you were drawing on a pad with crayons 💀

of course, izana and tenjiku immediately come to your aid by snatching you into their arms and punching the delinquent in the face, but they can't help but be concerned about you. you might have near god-like abilities who can teleport, move objects with her thoughts, and exorcise curses, but you were still a child.

tenjiku tries to keep you at bay by holding your hand and even carrying you in their arms, but trouble still arises due to your access to your witch abilities, so you can flee fairly easily.

whenever you were in yokohama, it was always an eventful sight. a young girl between the ages of four and six can be seen zooming off with a swarm of delinquents from yokohama's largest and most dangerous gang chasing after her, while she giggles fondly, thinking it's all a game of tag.

For someone who went to school to be a journalist I sure fucking suck at following through.

So my mom's asked me idk how many fucking times the last few weeks to cut my sister's nails. (She can't do it herself cause shes disabled.) And I didn't. I forgot or I remembered late at night when she was asleep (neither of those are good excuses for me since I dont have anything that makes remembering shit hard) and to cut a long lecture/yell short I fucked up. My sis scratched herself up in her sleep and she scratched mom too, both could've been prevented by me doing the one thing I was asked to do. Problem is that my sister's caseworker people are allowed random inspections whenever so if they show up and my sis is all scratched up they leap to conclusions and take her away to a home somewhere where they'll scoop out her organs or steal her kidneys for other patients or r*pe her or other awful stuff I've been told. So then I got yelled at, (justifiably) because yeah that's fair (and I'm an idiot) and I really do hate myself cause I'm falling back into old habits of not following through or procrastinating when i know i shouldn't and it ALWAYS bites me in the ass. And then I end up doing it again and here we are. Long and short of it is I'm venting, I'm being a idiot who doesn't like criticism and I'm being a little bitch baby about it and hoping this will help me get it out of my system so I can...fuck idk, not do it again? Either way that sucked and I'm fucking being stupid and self depreciating and all that even tho I KNOW it doesn't help. I got nothing, just wanted to vent and didn't wanna tell my friends cause they'd just only have my side of the story to go on and thats not fair to my mom. All this to say that although she didn't intend to, momma did indeed raise a weak lil bitch. It's me. This isn't helping me FIX anything and Mom already clipped my sister's nails and screamed at me (again, fair this is my fault) so it's kinda over and I just gotta sit with it. I guess. Crushed Olive Branch Typology Post

For those who don't know, Crushed Olive Branch is a story by @calronhunt which you can read here @crushedolivebranch ! I'm gonna be making a typology post about it, specifically finding their MBTI (using cognitive functions), enneagram/tritype (not instinctual variants cuz I'm not very good with them LoL), Alignment, Big 5, Psychosophy, and Temperament. I will only be going in depth for MBTI, Enneagram, Alignment, and Psychosophy since Temperament in big 5 and kinda easy to figure out the reasoning for yourself

Starting off with MBTI, originally I was gonna put them all in one text post but after seeing how long Theron's got I'm gonna break them up LMAO

STARTING WITH

Theron:

First off, I would say he's an I//J. Being an introvert is kind of obvious, he internalizes everything and keeps his thoughts to himself, preferring to retreat into his mind to come to conclusions. He only blurts his opinions out when he feels forced to (eg the confession scene) and highly prefers to think than take action (not including when it comes to actual fights or action scenes, but we don't get his thought process during those, so it's hard to take those into account :P)

Now what's NOT as obvious is the fact he's irrational, I think he's more irrational because he percieves first. An introverted percieving type is someone who sees and thinks before making sense of it logically or moralizing it, while an introverted judging functions would see things through a lense of logic or morality before percieiving the real meaning. I think this shows in Theron, since he doesn't really have a concrete set of morals, he listens to others and doesn't really think for himself, preferring to listen to others and internalize that to be the "correct" thing.

This also explains his Fe, his morals are completely divorced from the internal, his morals come externally. This is shown ESPECIALLY during the backstory parts, where he first starts thinking for himself and learning about himself, but then ends up in the same hole as before with his biggest mentor going from his father to Dominic, who forces the idea that societal norms are more important.

Ti is less shown, but it's still there just...weaker. He has his own set of logic, though those tie in with his morals more than not. Specifically shown afte he starts learning to think for himself, he comes to impartial, logical conclusions based off of external morals (eg him wanting to ask Dominic out, he heard from one person that he should go for it, so he internalizes that fact, and logically comes to the conclusion "I should just go for it")

Now for his percieving functions, I think Si-dom makes the most sense. He's always living in the past, and I know that that isn't specifically what Si is about, but Ni does NOT fit him at all. He doesn't live in the future, he doesn't look underneath the surface, he doesn't necessarily take things at face value but he has a hard time looking under words and realizing the predjudice behind them. This leads to Si>Ni, meaning he uses Si/Ne

This leads to the conclusion that he's ISFJ! ISFJs are stereotyped as being gentle people, selfless and kind. They're seen as paternal and gentle, wanting the best for the people they care about. Notable ISFJs (that I just took from PDB) include:

Fluttershy (MLP)

Rory Gilmore (GIlmore Girls)

Captain America (Marvel)

Willow Park (The Owl House)

Luigi (Mario)

Now onto Dominic:

At first I thought he was surely going to be an extroverted rational, but after thinking about it, extroverted irrational fits him WAY more. He doesn't use morals or logic whatsoever, he percieves first (eg he hears the name Olive and without a second thought is like "THAT MUST BE MY MOM!")

Whether he's Ne or Se is kind of tricky, he's not a person who craves stimuli (either mental or physical), so we have to go off of whether he's more of a future or present oriented person, and (in my opinion) he's ALWAYS focused on the present. He doesn't once think about why Theron is acting the way he is, he doesn't even think about how his words would affect the ones around him. He's always doing things right as he thinks about them, without any forethought (showing low Ni)

So we know he's an ES/P, and I think it's pretty obvious he's an Fi/Te user. His logic comes externally, this is inherently different from morals coming internally (like Theron) because he doesn't base his morals off of them, eg he doesn't want people knowing that he has sex with Theron because LOGICALLY he's seen people act homophobic around him, not because he MORALLY thinks that being gay is bad (I hope this doesn't sound like I'm excusing his actions, he's still a homophobe LMAO I'm just explaing how he uses logic to justify it instead of morals)

His Fi shows up in like. Every little thing he does. He's ALWAYS doing stuff his own way, he doesn't care about others opinions, I know this sounds like the old "Fi are selfish" but he clearly uses his functions unhealthily, and unhealthy Fi usually shows up as selfishness.

This means he's ESFP! ESFPs are stereotypes as party animals and socially oriented. Examples of ESFPs off of PDB include:

Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad)

Goku (Dragon Ball)

Korra (Legend of Korra)

Undyne (Undertale)

Beast Boy (Teen Titans)

Every single shounen anime protagonist ever /j

Mattais:

Mattias is the DEFINITION of Fi-user, he's moralistic and doesn't take the general consensus at face value. Also very indivisualistic when it comes to showing off his personality, he doesn't mind being different and often, but he's healthier than Dom. He still cares about people (often too much) and takes into consideration their needs.

I think it's kind of obvious he's Fi-Dominant, but less obvious is being an introverted rational. At first I thought he was definitely irrational because of his constant need to put others before himself, but I think that actually points more towards rationality? His morals tell him to care for others, not his perception of the world, which points to morality/logic>percieving/judging

Next, is whether he's Se or Ne, and this is very tough....I think he has a preference for Ne, though. He's seen with kinda shitty Se, he's always in his head, thinking about what could go wrong that he never lives in the present.

This means he's INFP :3 INFPs are stereotyped as anxious, but individualistic and artistic people! Examples of INFPs off of PDB include:

Belle (Beauty and the Beast)

Peter Parker (Marvel)

Mob (Mob Psycho 100)

Doofenshmirtz (Phineas and Ferb)

Nerissa:

Nerissa is hard to pin down, at first I thought she was surely introverted rational, but after thinking about it I think she's an extroverted rational. She's focused on what's real, and doesn't care for digesting what she sees internally, instead she uses what she sees to act logically, trying to become the best ShadowHunter she can be.

She's also logically focused, point to Te instead of Fe. She doesn't exactly care about morals, instead (like Dom) she views her logic through what she sees. She sees people are conservative, so she hides the fact that she's a lesbian, ignoring her own feelings on the subject.

She also has REALLY good use of Se, almost to the point where I wanna say she's Te/Se/Ni/Fi...but I'll stick with E/I/E/I function stacking LoL, so this makes her Ni-Aux. I think her Ni can be seen in how she is someone who sees behind the words. She's attentive, yes, but this stems to the real world and words as well, she's able to look behind what people are saying and clearly is thinking about the future first and foremost.

This leaves her being an ENTJ. ENTJs are stereotyped as serious and no-nonsense business people. They are also stereotypes as evil as all hell LoL. Examples of ENTJs on PDB include:

Here's some more characters that I won't go as in depth for, mainly typed by vibes LMAO:

personal cookie run headcanons!! :0

My drawing tablet's arriving soon so I guess I'll have to share some of my personal headcanons in cookie run as promised (most of them are clotted cream cookie's,,,, ehehe-)

admittedly, it's a pretty "short" list but I will update this once I thought up with new ones :>c without further ado, let's start those headcanons~! ٩(⊙‿⊙)۶

- Clotted Cream Cookie owns a stuffed teddy bear/jelly bear as a gift from his mom from childhood / v \ He still holds onto it to this day and doesn't want to admit that he still owns that due to embarrassment ahaha.. He hides it in his room (specifically under one of the pillows in his bed) and pulls it out whenever he was having such a hard time

- Clotted Cream Cookie doesn't know modern slang or anything that Cookies around his age do for fun in the casual. He was raised in a much higher-class so he was only taught proper manners and eloquence. If he was exposed to such stuff, he'll be extremely confused or fascinated and wanted to mimic it himself (basically he's a young boomer lmao, but he is learning~!)

- Clotted Cream Cookie is a bit of a book nerd, as he always reads books (ranging from fantasy books to history books) during his leisure time. He also has his own reading area in his room!

- He never shows it to anyone, but Clotted Cream Cookie is surprisingly vocally talented (in other words, HE CAN SING-). Though he never does sing in front of anyone because he's self-conscious ahaha. He usually sings alone whenever he's in his room or during work aaa,, though Financier Cookie did hear a little bit of it (although it was very faint and didn't believe it was Clotted Cream Cookie at first) (uhuhuhu this is just me inserting the "secretly vocally talented but is too afraid to show it in front of anyone" hc ;v;)

- I'd imagine Clotted Cream Cookie to be around in either in his early 20s or just about to turn 20 (19 years old)

- Clotted Cream Cookie does have a biological father... but let's just say he isn't in the picture anymore, although Clotted Cream Cookie is very much traumatized. not gonna elaborate on that due to how dark it is. (well not yet at least)

ok that's enough Clotted Cream Cookie headcanons for this post HHSDSJDFDK let's continue~!

- Espresso Cookie and Affogato Cookie are related as brothers, but they have long been since separated each other. They don't even know if they know of each other's existence as brothers, but Affogato Cookie does recognizes Espresso Cookie a bit and has a soft spot for him, just a little bit. (I'd like to imagine that only some of the coffee cookies are indeed related to each other. not all but some.)

- Financier Cookie being a big sis to, not just the orphan cookies, but to other cookies as well ehehe (Kouign-Amann Cookie and, to a lesser extent, my cookie run oc for example)

- There were a lot of times where Licorice Cookie kinda regrets being in the Cookies of Darkness All he ever wanted is some sort of validation.. He had no other option after all. He wanted to turn to the good side but Licorice Cookie just believes there's no way for him to be good. I mean, Licorice Cookie isn't all that evil- He's just now trapped on his own decision.

- Cream Puff Cookie sometimes visits the shore to play with Peppermint Cookie during her days in the Parfaedia Institute. Though ever since she became an alumna and busied herself with studying her magic further, alongside protecting the city. She never had time to visit the shore, Which made Peppermint Cookie a little sad.

- I'd like to see that Madeleine Cookie and Financier Cookie are a little bit older than Clotted Cream Cookie (maybe 24 or 25 respectively)

the last headcanon was based on the drawing I saw on twitter where young Madeleine Cookie disturbed baby Clotted Cream Cookie. In the drawing, Madeleine Cookie was depicted to be a kid and Clotted Cream Cookie being a baby Which means that Madeleine Cookie is older than Clotted Cream Cookie and I just personally find it both cute and hilarious

The bit where I mentioned my cookie run oc... I might reveal it here on tumblr sometime. But not right now.

Jance headcanon (does this count as headcanon?) - Nace helps a lot to keep Jan grounded. We know Jan seems to be in another plane of existence most of the time, but after having watched a lot of interviews (before, during and after esc), I've noticed that he seems to be more "present" when he's near Nace. They don't really need to talk, but just a hand on Jan's thigh/back or an arm around his shoulder, some shared looks and smiles... It seems to help him stay on earth - maybe it also helps ease some anxiety as well

Well, I've been reading fanfiction for years, but I actually never thought about writing anything (and I mean anything - not even the typical thing that you write but never post). But one day I was talking with @fifi-goes-to-hollywood and we ended up talking about jance going on a roadtrip together, and then the day after (which, fun fact, was new year's eve lmao) I sent her this:

It went smoothly for a while, but then I lost motivation (bc mental health went 📉📉📉) and I decided to start doing those kiss prompts to get some motivation back. All the nice comments actually helped a lot and I finally finished the fic so... Thank you everyone hehe <3

She said that with a certainty that it shocked me lmao like I wasn't that certain when I finished the series I just knew after Azriel's chapter I didn't feel so good about e/riels and I was trying to convince and prepare myself that they might be a good pairing in their book haha I was struggling it was a dark time lmao

All I'm saying is that people like my sister exist and they instantly knew Azriel and Gwyn scenes where a mean to romantic scenes

And STILL there are some people who ask "gEnUiNeLY why do you ship gwynriel/elucien?" Or "I read the books but idk why there are gwynriel shippers they barely talked!"

pls if you like the rest of us weren't waiting for "e/riel interaction" and paid attention to the actual plot and the current storyline maybe just maybe you would've noticed it too!! Bc I know how they were disappointed that they didn't got the training session they wanted with them and now they're reasoning the very same thing for not liking gwynriel...

They are so hypocrite that its funny at this point everything they have reasoned for not liking or believing they won't happen reek of hypocrisy and jealousy bc they wanted angst but elucien is already serving and they wanted a trainer x trainee dynamic and gwynriel has already gave it to us and they still need to train more😌✌

I love that you wanted to share my blogs with someone!! That makes me feel special ❤️❤️❤️ And though she had little interest 😂 I love that she came to the conclusion all on her own. It's one thing to still ship E/riel, that is completely someones right. But it is ridiculous when someone truly acts confused as to how anyone sees the possibility of Gwynriel ESPECIALLY when those same people ship Vassa / Lucien. Lucien has never felt something spark in his chest when it comes to Vassa. He did not take Elain's solstice gift and easily regift it to Vassa. Vassa has never once sassed Lucien the way that Gwyn sassed at Az. We've never even seen a conversation between Vassa and Lucien outside of the one that Jurian, Eris, and Cassian were all part of and which involved Koschei. And Azriel notes that his shadows are playful with Gwyn in a way they never have been with Elain. Does that mean Gwynriel is a certainty? Not necessarily but let's not pretend it couldn't be hinting at something. A while back I sent a few friends excerpts from the book. I didn't not tell them my own preference but sent them certain lines about Elain's character (i.e., cruelty troubles her, the "don't hurt" Graysen quote) and then sent lines regarding the characters of Az and Lucien, how they handled certain things ("if Lucien kills Graysen, good riddance", "I'll defeat him with little effort"). I asked who seemed to be a better match for Elain based on personality and Lucien took it in a clean sweep. So yeah, it's ok if someone still ships E/riel because they have been given reason to ship it. But it's frustrating when certain E/riels act like we don't have just as much hinting at the possibility of an Elucien or Gwynriel endgame.

Crowsourced ideas for the EAH/OUAT crossover because I can't get it out of my fucking head apparently and I need to write them all down in a single place

Apple -> takes the place of baby Neal as Snow and Charming's second child, exacerbating Emma's bitterness because like, if you're a bit jealous that your parents are raising and doting on a baby like they couldn't go to you, that feeling must multiplicate tenfold if said baby is a little girl with blonde hair

Raven -> Regina's baby with Robin. Implies that Cora never dosed her daughter with an infertility spell and also that the whole Zelena pregnancy shebang was avoided somehow PLEASE I need this for my sanity. Has magic blood but ON GOD, Regina will bash Rumple on the head if he comes near her kid with weird power-teaching ideas

(when I made the first post about this I completely forgot that Sparrow Hood is a guy that exists in EAH, but it's fine, we can pretend he doesn't OR Regina can have twins - Raven and Sparrow are names that go so well together, after all! And the prospect is hysterical! Surely nothing could go wrong with those two in the same nursery!!!!!)

Ruby and Dorothy were implied to do some travelling together in the show, right? Maybe they could find the remains of a wolf pack like that of Ruby's mother, except all that's left is VERY mistrustful wolfblood young sisters Ramona and Cerise in severe need for adult intervention. Time for Red Kansas to become chaos moms and break some walls the girls have built, I guess

if Jefferson already has one daughter, there is no reason why he couldn't have TWO daughters! Enter Madeline/Maddie, AKA Grace's mad (honorific) little sis

Cinderella is already called Ashley in OUAT so I'd be loath to keep her daughter as Ashlynn but...Lynney? Lynette? Something? Anyway, a glorified Alexandra LMAO same for Hunter, though - for one, where would Graham get a son, and for two, would he name that son Hunter? Nope. Definitely not. Needs workshopping

other kids I have floating around are Briar (but Aurora is already pregnant in canon so whatever that's easy), Crystal (technically as the daughter of the Snow Queen she should come from Elsa or Ingrid's line, but that doesn't sound likely...maybe Anna and Kristoff instead?), Alistair Wonderland (probably Alice and Cyrus' offspring, but that would mean not interacting much with the rest of the crew), Lizzie Hearts (Cora has no right to a third daughter, so what's the closest thing to the Queen of Hearts? Anastasia the Red Queen? Idk??????) etc etc

and now the actual protagonist in my heart, Cedar Booth Wood

so because of Jojo's intervention, her backstory is established as such: she's the result of one of August's pre-canon flings that ends up in Storybrooke when she's quite young. That narrows the window of time where she could have been conceived before her dad was either wooden/a third grader/being a whole dumbass, but I wanted her to be about the same age as her friends and that means keeping her at about 5yo upon her arrival (timelines are wonky because OUAT's timeline IS wonky, but hardly anybody will even read so far, so ssssssh)

August is her nearest relation available, so that's why he gets a handful of child so suddenly. He is...a bit in shock, but he ends up loving her once the surprise wears off. Marco is OVER THE MOON because it's free granddaughter. Archie is just begging that at least ONE member of their family has a kid in a plain, normal way at some point in the future

then the angst kicks in because it turns out daddy's enchanted tree genes are just a little too strong and they resurface quite vehemently once Cedar steps foot in Storybrooke. Maybe she starts turning into wood, or has an averse reaction to lies, or both, I don't know I'd love it to be both, but I'm scared that I will get yelled at for torturing this child any further

the central point is - I was discussing this topic with @bewilderedmoth the other night and she had a STRONG hand in helping me reach the conclusion that a) this is probably the Blue Fairy's fault, so fuck her b) since Cedar is so young in this AU not only would August be desperate that she gets...cured? Un-cursed? Something, but he'd also realize that...shit. He wasn't much older than her when he got thrown into his personal hellscape. That's fucked up. Who thought it could be a healthy learning experience (see point a)? Unhand his kiddo RIGHT NOW or so help him

i believe your gripes are completely valid because i have the same gripes. it feels like their storytelling (for the entire game) is all over the place. the high cloud quintet is literally something i’ve never chanced upon in the game. i only know it via fandom. this is similar to how that pyro butterfly lady is the crimson witch. only those who dig deep enough into the game will find out about it, and just like genshin, such “information” spreads quickly in the community.

HOWEVER, what genshin does better than star rail is that its main story DOES NOT rely on these snippets to tell its story. do i need to know she was the crimson witch when what happened to her happened? no. not at all. she was there for X purpose in the main storyline and therefore she did what she had to do and left. her being crimson witch was to add depth to her character which the main story had no space to do so.

stair rail, on the other hand, EXPECTS you to find out all these little tidbits, which to me is too time consuming and annoying. why split the story into its separate segments if i need to know them in order to understand the main story?? that’s just poor storytelling imho.

i think you’ll like this video. i agree with it. i get that the funeral for fox character was supposed to be emotional, but this video is right that we know NOTHING about this character. from my own personal experience, the funeral was so boring and honestly irritating because i. don’t. care. in fact, i didn’t even know she was with us throughout the quest so when she had her background voicelines i was always so confused????

i feel the hype around the characters is because the designs of each character have given people a desire to seek more about said characters, and there is abundance information. but this shouldn’t be something to expect of the players.

give me a reason to care that’s not just aesthetics, please.

ok thank you for validating me LMAO i was constantly wondering "where is the ancient dead people lore" (hcq) during the entire quest chain, which unfortunately contained very little of what fandom promised me (character depth). apparently i've not be reading enough books and pamphlets you can collect since the lore is concentrated there and in limited character's character stories

tbh I think the reveal that La Signora was the Crimson Witch was also really bad lol, for the same reason that the video argues DH IL's transformation is unimpactful. like "omg wow alternate identity revealed!" but it doesn't really have any impact on the conflict of the story we're currently looking at. they could've just switched it, or not even given her a transformation, instead just showing an extended duel with us and making it visible that she was tired and out of power before she dies, and I don't really know if anything would've changed. same with dan heng IL, I'd probably get more out of it if I read the hcq book from that one opera performer, but ehh there wasn't enough visibly shown leadup, like you said.

I guess the difference between genshin world lore (things in artifacts, weapons, books, world quests etc) and star rail lore is that genshin's is either about the past or future, but not necessarily about the present characters? thinking about the pale flame lore, which gave everyone the fatui crumbs before scara and la signora's stories were introducted in the main storyline, the enkanomiya quests about the vishaps and ancient history of teyvat, and the narzissenkreuz quests that also connect to that + khaenriah + a host of other world lore things. I guess it's nice that reading through all the materials isn't "mandatory" because it's either about the ancient past, dead npcs (so many of the artifact sets) or foreshadowing for important elements in the future that will still get introduced in the main story. I will be biased and agree w you, star rail's lore crumbs are rather :\ storytelling. like I would be fine if the hidden nuggets of lore were about >npcs >lore that happened but is not directly relevant to a character's main arc >foreshadowing for future events/story. but instead it's more like mandatory background reading that is crucial to understand a character's stories, instead of enriching your knowledge of them? anyways yeah

now abt tingyun. I agree that the funeral was really ???????????? i agree w you and the video lol. playing it, I was mostly in disbelief that we're assuming tingyun is legitimately dead even though she's still playable (no dead playables in genshin moment). I also think the thing with the 3 npcs we had to talk to was bullshit because. like the video said, we could've spent time with tingyun (maybe visiting the npcs we collected things from) BEFORE she died and maybe it would have given us more emotional impact. the way they retroactively show how kind and generous she was really put me off, we could've seen this all in person instead of hearing it from other people...... bruh also the way everyone got together in that cutscene when i dont think any of them were really shown to have a deep connection w her is so ..... >_> the emotional impact did not hit whatsoever

but I'm gonna level with you I think they made her role as our guide pretty clear and the implication that she was traveling with us was also pretty clear. no shade though

about the rest of the video: oh he put things into words that I could not articulate JSDKLFJDSKL. not really any thoughts but i agree that a lot of the characters (qingque, xueyi especially) could have just been cut T_T i like both of their designs and personalities based on other material in game but their main quest participation was Not It rip. also agree about the characters being vehicles for exposition and not having their personalities shine through. I'd argue maybe you can tell somewhat of what they're like (jing yuan, fu xuan, yanqing to some extent) but man there's just too much lore explaining for them to really show what they do on a normal schedule it's so .......... also because fanart and fanfic makes them seem so fun im standing here looking at the main plot like >_> <_< what was that. i'm sure it gets better inside their own companion quests, which I haven't done, but that shouldn't be the only place the character gets to really shine lmao

I agree that their design makes people more willing to invest but god I'm so sorry hsr designs really aren't my thing, the color palettes are just incredibly bad JDKSFLJDSKLGHKDJ the only thing holding up the story are the plot and personalities of chars and neither of those were delivered ...
