Maybe one day I’ll stop talking about consent in this series. But they continue to do it so well that I can’t help myself because I love it.
The scene right here
the touch to call his attention. The open arm, just waiting. Letting Team decide. I love everything about it.
The silence in this scene is what makes it so beautiful to me. Words may not be being spoken, but things are still being communicated.
Sometimes consent is about a verbal “yes”, but sometimes it can be as simple as letting the other person choose with their actions. It’s literally that simple to weave consent into interactions.
In the continuing saga on raving over consent in this series I feel like this moment is going to be one of my favourites. He offers the opportunity but leaves the decision or action entirely in Team’s hands. He doesn’t take anything for granted, not the fact that Team walked himself into his bed nor the fact that they’ve cuddled to sleep before. He thinks this is what Team needs but he doesn’t assume anything and instead leaves it as a decision Team can choose on his own.
He’s not pushy, he just offers and waits patiently as Team decides what he wants, what he needs. Silently being beside him, letting him know he’s there, that he’s willing to comfort him is that’s what he wants. That he’s there and it’s okay with him, Team will be okay with him. That it’s okay even if the words aren’t spoken, Win will still understand.
The consent is still clear and obvious, but (this time) it doesn’t need words. All it needed was for Win to propose the action and leave the choice to Team. It’s exactly what Team needed in that moment. He didn’t want to talk about his pain or suffering, probably doesn’t even want to acknowledge it. If verbally asked, he’d probably deny it. But Win provides him the exact thing that he needed: an offer of silent and sturdy reassurance and comfort. That Win will be there for him whenever he needs him.

Not much happened in Between Us this week but somehow EVERYTHING happened.
They both realised that they are more than friends, more than a casual hook-up and sure, while Team's going to misunderstand Win because of the overheard conversation he's also acknowledging his own feelings. Win talking to his friends and being open. Team asking Pharm's advice! Communication! Boys using their words! It's GLORIOUS!
Most shocking moment: Dean telling Win to fuck off. I actually gasped.
Most hilarious thing: Manow and Pruek are basically the most successful Secret Couple.
Sweetest thing: every single minute of WinTeam - but especially the teasing. I've missed the teasing, playful side of Win.
Best grumpy thing: Team's face whenever Win puts his helmet on for him.

His mannerisms and radiant smile make him look like a teenager sharing teenage wisdom of what being ‘more than friends’ with someone for the first time feels like.

im just gonna dive into it because this time i actually have smth potentially insightful lol
1. I know that Team getting those drinks in his locker is one big ad and i shouldnt read too much into it buuuuuutttttt,,,, from what little i know about flowers, i am pretty sure that the flower on the package of the drink is a chamomile flower. and nowwww from what little i know about different teas, chamomile actually helps you sleep. So I’d like to think that the choice of flavour was intentional as we are assuming that Win gave him the drink and we know that Win knows that Team has trouble sleeping (we also know, if you watch the actual ad portion, that there is a second flavour at least so,,,) Is it actually intentional, probably not, but still if it was I think its a nice touch. <3
2. I thought i’d hate abc+prince but im actually liking that group right now. I think theyre at a good level of not too many scenes but not too little. :)
3. The motorcycle the motorcycle the motorcycle. I am convinced that Win asking Team to trust him was more symbolic than just “trust me to drive this bike safe” Also, when Tul heard Team talking about being on the bike and he just looked at Win like “??? i thought no one gets to ride the bike???” AND THEN WIN TOLD TEAM THAT NO ONE ELSE GETS TO RIDE THE BIKE
4. the convo between Team and Pharm was so cute.... Pharm knows you like Win man theres no more hiding it ajdahdagdhjadghj I’m happy that there was no angst like the episode preview made me think there would be and instead it was just them both realizing “Fuck i think i love him” :3
(just a side: the side story was adorable “id give them cold water”, gets given a drink which win calls cold water, doesn’t realize it right away heheheheheh hes so cute (both of them))

On my first watch of Between Us after loving UWMA and oh my god Manow and Pruek are making me so happy. Just watched the scene where he asks her out, and they’re both just smiling and laughing cause they’re so happy to be together 😭😭 Manow deserves the WORLD and Pruek is so, so willing to hand it to her on a silver platter. Like this man bumped into her ONCE and said, “this is the most beautiful girl in the world and I am going to romance her like she deserves” and then DID IT. Without hesitation. Love that for her, like YES of course Manow deserves a hot, athletic, tall gentleman who treats her like a queen. I would not accept any less

Win Win Win
Okay, here's the thing. Win is a peacekeeper, a fixer, a caretaker. This is how he marks his value. Within his own family he gets feedback that reinforces his worth via his brothers and parents.
An older brother who is unhappy having the family responsibilities thrust upon him? No problem. Win will follow in his footsteps and take the burden off his shoulders so that hopefully he can be freer and live more of the life he wants outside his family obligations.
A younger brother who is sweet, cheerful, and carefree? Great! Win can make sure he knows he can stay that way. He will hold the family responsibilities on his own shoulders, View doesn't have to worry about it if he doesn't want to.
Parents who are disappointed that their first born doesn't want to participate in the family business? No worries! Win is here. He's ready. He's responsible, and willing, and beyond all of that, he will actually be very good at it.
The problem with Team is that he's very hard to read. His natural response to being put on the spot is to get a little bit mean and grumpy. There is no recognizable feedback for Win to understand that he's being useful, which is also how Win defines being wanted/needed.
Not really sure what I'm trying to say here other than I can absolutely understand how these two will need 13 episodes to figure out how to communicate with each other!!! Sometimes a relationship is just two emotionally compromised people learning how to talk with their mouths instead of their bodies.

Episode 4 did not disappoint in the Hia department!

thinking about clem vi and minnie
#cant stop thinking about them....the Drama of it all.....the Gay Drama of it all#SORRYYY but like.... vi and minnie only ending their relationship bc vi thought minnie died and couldnt save her and blamed herself.....#vi finding out minnie was traded off by marlon and did not actually die#and finding out shes working for the enemy and vi has to accept the fact that the Real minnie is gone#the way minnie basically called vi a coward implying there mightve been some tension in their relationship(right after re-meeting after 1yr#the weird tension and mental battle between clem and minnie bc they are like 2 sides of the same coin#(and clem is dating her ex and taking her family)#vi reassuring clem that none of this changes her feelings for her and will go to battle against minnie for their friends#vi either getting kidnapped by the delta (bc clem doesnt save her) and brainwashed by minnie to act against her friends and fight clem#vs her saving clem from minnie by shooting her with her own crossbow with no hesitation other than a plead to stop (still makes me scream)#vi not being able to leave minnie alone and injured#brainwashed vi getting blinded in the explosion#ep 4 minnie not hesitating to try to kill vi for tenn#clem and minnie fighting to the Death#minnie being the reason clem gets bit..one last fuck you#vi having to leave clem on the other side of the fence leading to clem getting bit#s4 didnt have to give us one of the gayest drama-iest side plots in a game but it did and i still cant get over it#hehe hehe hehe :) :) :) infested with brain worms#thank u twdg s4 for existing i love u#need to draw more clem/vi/minnie tension#and also clem and minnie fighting i love when they fight#started replaying s4 but im taking it sooooooo sllooowwwlllyy i cant wait to get to ep3 this shit was written specifically for me#it speaks#twdg
