Some of my Favorite Winx Club ships (cannon and non cannon)

Cannon: 1: Musa/Riven (Rivusa)

#1 Rivusa defender even whilst being 6 feet under in my grave. These two have ALWAYS been my fav couple (even when I was lil kid.) I just love them so much. Sure, they had their bad times but they've also had plenty of good ones too. I'm going to stop myself there because if I type any further about these two I'm going to end up making this post much more longer than it needs to be😭

2: Flora/Helia (Floreila)

If I don't have a relationship like Flora and Helia's then I don't want it. Seriously, these two are so adorable. Helia literally worships the ground Flora walks on. Their relationship is so healthy and just overall green flags everywhere. And back in s2 when they were crushing on each other was the cutest omg, they're both so pure and full of love.

3: Stella/Brandon (Brella)

The trust that these two have for each other in this relationship is so beautiful. Brandon and Stella compliment each other PERFECTLY. They both would sacrifice themselves at any costs for each other. They have such a beautiful and selfless bond, always willing to protect one another.

Non cannon: 1: Musa/Layla/Aisha (Soundwave)

Layla had a big fat crush on Musa during seasons 2-3, and NO ONE will EVER change my mind. I already hc Layla as a lesbian too (don't get me wrong her and Nabu were awesome but I think that they'd be better off as friends/a platonic pairing. )They'd both be such a healthy couple and they had soo much chemistry. They'd both be extremely supportive of each others goals and dreams. They were literally each other's comfort person throughout s2-3. They care about each other so much. Plus, we need more POC wlw representation in media.

2: Lucy/Mirta (Unsure of their ship name)

They're gfs your honor, that's all I have to say.

3: Faragonda/Griffin (Unsure of their ship name)

WIVES.

4: Palladium/Avalon (Unsure of their ship name 😭)

They had more chemistry than Bloom and Sky ever did 🙄(Sorry, not sorry Bloom/Sky shippers) Also, idgaf what the comics say yall.

This was longer than I thought it’d be… enjoy!

1- Flora and Helia, they were my first OTP. Headcannons, Flora steals all of his cardigans but he can’t even complain. They inspire each other’s art, they’re just so cheesy and in love it’s great. Saladin adores Flora and just think she’s perfect for Helia. Helia helps Flora with her garden. Flora cuts his hair. They eventually move to live in Lynphea. They have a lot of picnics and hikes. Helia will always get her flowers for her hair and overall be super cheesy. She loves to just hold him and loves his cologne.

2- Aisha and Nabu (I will never forgive Rainbow for what they did), Headcannons, despite being very chill, Nabu will join Aisha on whatever catches her eye be it swimming with sharks or jumping off planes. He helps ground Aisha and it takes her a while before she genuienly believes that he’s there to stay. She teaches him how to dance. He organizes little surprise hikes and little adventures. The only time that Aisha can stay still for more than an hour without getting ansty is when she’s in his arms.

3- Musa and Riven (Rainbow did them so dirty, tbh, they’re only so high because of the potential they had, if this list was exclusively about what we see in the show, they’d be num 5) Headcannons, They’re both touch-starved so they’re constantly touching, be it Riven always having an arm around her or her sitting on his lap half the time. It takes them a long time to learn to be vulnerable and communicate when something bothers them but they eventually get there. She teaches him how to play the guitar. Musa paints his nails from time to time and he refuses to take the polish off. She writes almost all her love songs about him (not that she’d ever admit it to anyone other than him).

4- Tie between Tecna/Timmy and Stella/Brandon (s1-s3 it’s Stella and Brandon, s4-s6 it’s Tecna and Timmy)

Tecna and Timmy Headcannons, their love is very much about the little domestic things. Timmy makes her coffee when she’s working on a project, she cleans his tools when he’s tired, Timmy learns how to make her favorite meals, Tecna cleans his glasses because Timmy won’t clean them unless he straight up can’t see anything. Tecna is ready to fight anyone who even insinuates that Timmy is somehow less than the other Specialists. Timmy accomodates to make Tecna comfortable in any situation and to keep her from being overwhelmed.

Stella and Brandon Headcannons, he gives her massages whenever she’s tired, especially after she becomes queen. PDA. They keep up their flirting game from s2 until they get married (mostly so that the media doesn’t start making rumors about cheating) Stella almost decapitates one of her diplomats when they insinuate that Brandon’s useless. Brandon helps Stella through panic attacks when she feels like she doesn’t know what to do. Stella loves laying on the balcony with him to look at the stars and just talk.

5- Bloom and Sky (Another couple done dirty, s1-s3 they were great but after that… yeah) Headcannons, he loves playing with her hair. They love to travel to different villages of Eraklyon to help out in any way that they can, all of Eraklyon loves Bloom. Sky is one of the only people that can calm Bloom down after a particularly bad nightmare. Sky really bonds with Mike, Mike calls him son and Sky almost starts crying. Sky still has nightmares about the things he did under Valtor’s influence. Bloom will find him awake at 4 am and just hug him and remind him that it wasn’t his fault.

Okay, since I’m tagged on this tumblr account I’ll first go with WINX of course.

1. Driven (Darcy x Riven - Winx Club)

I’ll say it over and over again – they’re perfect. THE POTENTIAL: OMG: If Rainbow had be braver and didn’t focus SO much on Bloom, they could’ve added such an angsty storyline. They build the grounding but never made it to detail and that’s a shame. I may repeat myself, but Darcy was the first one to listen to Riven. To really listen and maybe even the first person after a long time to actually care for him. Of course, she is beautiful and she used that beauty to enchant him but what mattered in the end was that Riven finally found someone who was really interested in him. Someone who saw his ambition and talent. Someone who didn’t see the sparkly outside of perfect Sky and Brandon but who saw this man, who I bet went trough a lot to achieve the right to study at Red Fountain. Finally, someone interested in the one who trained hard to be where was and who wasn’t privileged like other people. Another thing I love about them is the trust and faith Riven had in Darcy who.. in the end destroyed that YES THANKS RAINBOW. I mean, he never questioned her even though he knew that the Trix’ plans were evil. He did not care about that. Only for her. The betrayal must have been hard. But what about Darcy? How did she feel? Well, we never saw it but regarding her character she might be an overthinker who thinks everything through, who is afraid to show her true self. Darcy seems to be the one who is afraid of losing control and of being betrayed herself. So better destroy than get destroyed? I’m sure she opened up to Riven to some extend and got caught by her own fear of losing control and then overreacted. Maybe. Who know. But the thing is that their end came completely out of the nowhere and I wished the writers had focused a bit more on that instrad of making a cut so that another fairy had a love interest by the end of season 1. It also should have been more focus on their relationship in the following seasons. (I miss the longing stares omg. We could have so much angsty drama!) I think the end of the relationship was not easy for both of them. Darcy lost everything at the end of season 1 and I’m sure she questioned herself a lot after it. Like, what would have happened if etc. And Riven, even more broken than before. What did he think? It’s no secret, that most characters in this show need therapy but these two? Couple therapy maybe lol (now this was long, but that’s when I talk about ships haha)

2. Brella (Brandon and Stella - Winx Club)

I don’t really talk about the fairies here, but I love Brella. They are such a healthy and dynamic couple. Even as a kid I noticed how harmonic and devoted. I loved, that they got so much attention in the show and that they were the harmonic couple and not Sky and Bloom. They had the storyline in s1 I which Brandon disguised as Prince Sky and lied to her. He was afraid, that Stella would only like him as a prince. And yes, Stella might look superficial at first glance but in fact she is not. And I think she showed a lot of strength in forgiving Brandon who lied to her for a long time. She made no big deal of it even though she is a princess who could have easily married or dated a prince. But she chose Brandon. Then there is the Downland arc at the beginning of season 2 and it wouldn’t have worked with another couple. As I said, they are devoted to each other. Stella fkn jumped after him into that abyss without a second thought? Luckily they survived but then Amentia shows up and Stella almost dies because there is no sunlight in Downland. So to save her life, Brandon agrees to marry Amentia who then agrees to let Stella go. I could fangirl over this arc a lot but I won’t because it already gets too long here. Then s3 in which Stella thinks that it might be just her beauty which Brandon loves (which doesn’t make sense after what they went through) but I think the problem Stella has, is that she was always judged by her looks. She was raised to be a perfect princess and let’s face it, before she met Bloom and the Winx, she had no real friends. However back to the show, Brandon knew that Stella was transformed into that Monster but he did not care. Of course not. He was trying to help her no matter what, just to see her happy again. I won’t focus on the later seasons, because they might still have their cute moments there but after all there was too much beef going on between all the couples and I don’t consider these superficial seasons as canon so I’ll stop here. But Brella is chef’s kiss. The best Winx couple followed by Tecna and Timmy and no one can convince me otherwise.

3. Ethel Hallow x Nick Hobbes - Weirdsister College (Do they have a shipping name?)

Since it was rosie, who tagged me I think I have to take a ship which has nothing to do with Winx but which goes more in the direction of Harry Potter and The Worst Witch. And that is an easy one: Ethel Hallow x Nick Hobbes. OMG the potential, the POTENTIAL! Same as driven, they have so much unused potential even though they were on the best way to build an angsty couple with trust issues and all the drama my fangirl heart needs. I love how Nick noticed right away, that Ethel resembled him. She always played the nice and hardworking students but we all know that she was a devious bitch who used every opportunity to make Mildred look bad. And from her perspective, she did nothing wrong. It was always Mildred who stole the show by breaking the rules and being at school but was in the end the good girl who was appreciated. She always played by the rules (yeah not always but she tried her best) and was ambitious and just wanted to be the number one student, yet who interfered? Always Mildred. It’s no wonder she tried everything to get rid of her. Ethel just wanted a happy school life without interruptions. So she wasn’t innocent at all and Nick knew that. In the first episode of Weirdsister College, he immediately checked that he AND Ethel would not have a chance of passing the all-seeing-eye. He tricked Mildred so that she helped him and used that for him and Ethel to pass the ceremony. He’s the typical bad boy who took advantage of Mildred’s talent and gosh, I wished they hadn’t followed this weird storyline he has with Mildred. Because everything was already there with Ehtel: Both students who tried their best to become the top of the class, both power-driven and both unsure in the end. They have so much in common. And Ethel is, after all, the good girl who fell for the bad boy and she KNOWS that he’s doubtful. She does not trust him but is still fascinated by him. And I just love that trope, okay? Ehtel also gives me hardcore rl Darcy vibes and not, it’s not just because they have the same voice actress I Germany. They’re the dark edgy couple I live for. There could have been done so much if they gave us a second season…..It looked like they were giving up on the Mildred/Nick storyline by episode 9 which was again one big flirt of Ethel and Nick. (The potential!) This is why I hate the way they went on the last episode where it’s like “It’s only you who can save him, Mildred” bullshit. I’m doomed for loving couples the writers seem to hate. I could write an essay about them and I probably will on @yaviae somewhen.

Why Could Marinette x Chloe be a choice?

They’re currently enemies in the show, but fans mostly ship them together for what they could’ve been. However, the creator had other plans for Chloe (also the show itself is about Marinette and Adrien’s blossoming love story, but I digress).

Marinette could be a big factor in Chloe‘s theoretical redemption.

They make for perfect foils but COULD come from being enemies to hesitant friends, then friends, and then lovers.

They could be similar to Lumity in some ways; both shows have their protagonists and antagonists starting off as rivals/enemies but said protagonist finds out that there’s far more to the antagonist than just being an egotistical bully. Also, both antagonists are only really the way they are because of their upbringing and manipulative parent.

Though not the healthiest mindset (and I'm NOT condoning it), it was often theorized that Chloe often teased Marinette specifically because she had a secret crush on her.

Why Could Adora x Glimmer be a choice?

The two were enemies on opposite sides of the war but learned to trust each other once they both got the bigger picture, realizing that neither was a bad person at all.

Both share the same kind of willpower to protect their people.

Some fans see this as a healthy and very supportive relationship.

Some may see them as a good representation of yin and yang (sun and moon, masculinity and femininity, hot and cold, night and day, etc.)

Seasons like 1 and 4 had some shipping fuel for them, with their conflict in the latter season reminding you of a "lovers' quarrel".

Why Could Musa x Darcy be a choice?

They may currently be enemies in the show, but one thing that they both shared is that they both dated Riven at some point.

It could end up as another Korrasami, once dating the same boy, only to end up with each other in the end.

Though considered one of the evil witches of the Trix, she’s the most normal, especially in season 8.

Their personalities COULD complement each other.

things in winx club that i did not like ...

musa and riven's relationship

one of the worst relationships in animation. it was nice when they were getting along at the end of season 3 but then the writers make them awkward and fighting again for the next season like ?? make up your mind ..

stella and brandon's relationship

a lot of the things that i hate are the ships because they never make sense most of the time — so let's talk about the princess of solaria and her lovely boyfriend .. WHO LOWKEY ALWAYS CHEATS ON HER. this was already evident in season 2 but amped up during season 4. brandon cannot keep that dick in his pants at all and stella needs to see that.

when tecna got mad at timmy for not stopping the trix

this was during season 2 when the trix were at red fountain to take the codex. timmy let them go because he knew he stood no chance and tecna got mad as if she was doing something to stop the trix as well .. girly was just floating and sad that timmy did nothing. she could've casted a spell, but she didn't — it was stupid. she was stupid.

roxy's extra indecisiveness

it seems like they really dragged out the idea of roxy being way too confused but i didn't like that push-pull attitude of hers during the half of season 4.

bloom constantly comparing herself to roxy

fairy princesses that don't know they are one. has to save her homeland in some way. actual parent/s were not in the picture. yeah, they have a lot in common but come on bloom, not everything is about you.

inconsistent trix revivals

it was consistent for season 2. however, during the end of season 3, they were sent back to light rock monastery thing but on their return during season 5, they were in the dungeons under the sea? how the hell did that happen?

Musa/Riven (Winx Club): I don't think this needs an explanation...

Ben/Leslie (Parks and Rec): I love you and I like you. I mean, come on! There's nothing I love more than a healthy couple (we all know that's a lie cause my #1 ship is Musa and Riven but, like, stfu) that genuinely like each other and respect each other.

Mickey/Ian (Shameless): Me again, proving that I am a hypocrite with my so-called love of healthy relationships while actively LOVING dysfunction. I just love Mickey and I love how much he and Ian love each other. (I also love that Mickey became a groom-zilla - as a wedding professional that one made me laugh a lot). I cried when Mickey showed up as Ian's cell mate. Legitimately, cried 😭😭

First Ship:

Sakura/Tomoyo (Cardcaptors): Now, I watched the American version as a kid where they named Tomoyo MADISON??? and had her very much less in love with Sakura. That being said, I still shipped it. (And yet it still took me 25 years to figure out that I'm not straight?)

My girl was ROBBED at the Grammys. Rolling up the welcome mat deserved the best country album award. That shit had me feeling and crying like I was going through a divorce too (I am in a healthy, happy relationship). I listened to 70000 minutes of Taylor Swift last year and yet 4/5 of my top songs on Spotify were from this album.

Last Movie:

My friends and I (try) to do a monthly movie-night where every month gets a theme, then we suggest movies and vote on a winner. We haven't been able to get everyone together since September so we watched our October movie 2 weeks ago... Bring It On: Cheer Or Die. It was awful.

Currently Reading:

Sabriel by Garth Nix. I just got Terciel & Elinor, so I have to reread the whole series. I've read this series 3 times. I highly recommend.

...Should be watching Winx Club. Am actually rewatching Brooklyn 99.

Killian here! It's not my real name, but it's my art name. I can be called Isa or Bibi as well. My real name is Barbara.

I'm from Italy and I'm a 2001 girl, She/her pronouns, bisexual, introverted, Virgo (too much of a perfectionist sometimes. Ops)

I am a Writer, a Screenwriter and an Artist. I even went to an art school, but the only thing that I learned there is anxiety. Yey.

I love reading. Like tons of books, but for whatever reason I stopped entirely reading books written in Italian and now I'm constantly binge-reading english stuff.

As a Writer, I create tons of Own Characters, yes. I have honestly so many OCs that it's hard to keep track of them between Original Works and Fanfiction. I have to admit that I never wrote as much fanfiction as I'm doing during those last years, mostly for bad experience with criticism in my first fics. But apparently I got over it after randomly starting to write little One Shots of a few different fandoms. It excalated, now.

I have many, many fandoms.

Listing them all is impossible, but my obsessions usually stuck the most when I have a "main crush" in said fandom. If not, they are fleeting at best... And usually the same main crush is the one that I ship with most people (Not always though).

Yep. I'm a multishipper, pro LGBTQ+ and I love polyamorous relationships.

When I hate a ship, I just hate it. No matter how hard you try to change my mind. Still, I'm of the "live and let live policy" because, damn, ship wars are boring and if you dislike something, YOU BLOODY IGNORE IT.

Currently working on: You'd think after writing a 10k word essay on how my man is wronged by Marvel, I'd calm down. But uhhh I have ideas that haunt me for 7 more essays: 1. In defense of Thor's characterization in Thor2 2. How to make the audience sympathize with a character: Wanda vs Thor 3. Why Thor4's ending with the child sucks 4. Thor3 didn't manage the tone well either 5. Korg - the worst supporting character 6. The tragedy of being a Thor fan (fandom experience) 7. The brutality toward Thor (by his storytellers)

And some fanfics: 1. missing scene after Thor4 ship kiss where they actually do it because f you marvel they deserved moments of love w each other and not die celibate like you. 2. post Thor4 dream sequence where he begs her to come back to him. 3. their experiences after separating (him finding out she got wiped out by thanos, knowing she was brought back to life, and a scene w mantis right before Thor4 parallel w Jane finding out she has c*ncer). 4. tyler ovi reunion fic where tyler runs into ovi unexpectedly and they get to be father-son for a night.

Headmistress Griffin is related to Darcy. Young Griffin is just present day Darcy. Also the resembles is uncanny.

Crystal dated Helia before Flora but broken up for their own reasons. Flora is Jelous of Crystal.

Mirta and Flora are in secret lesbian relationship and flora is closed Bisexual and Mirta is open lesbian.

Stella can't stand Timmy.

Brandon and sky were having nighly activities before they Stella and Bloom.

Riven cheated on Musa with Darcy.

Stormy and Darcy are in lesbian relationahip hidden from Icy.

I'm still not sure what my stance is on headmistress Griffin being related to Darcy or not, the resemblance is definitely there, and I can't deny that. I would also like to point out that present day Stormy looks sort of similar to present day Griffin too. Stormy's hairstyle and hair color appear pretty similar to hers. I kind of like the theory that Darcy and Stormy were orphaned by Griffin and Valtor (or something like that), but I find it a bit weird because the two of them (including Icy ofc) had a thing for Valtor. Just another thing that I noticed: Darcy's got Griffin's eyes, whilst Stormy's are blue like Valtor's (his eyes are notably lighter though.)

I like that one! I hated the unnecessary drama they added into Helia and Flora's relationship though. Regarding Krystal, I think that her and Flora could've made for a good friendship.

I hc that Mirta and Lucy are both lesbians and are in a relationship with each other. And, I actually hc Flora as pansexual (as well as Helia), and think that she had a little crush on Mirta for a bit.

She doesn't hate him or anything like that, but yes, she can get annoyed by him fairly quickly.

Agreed! I kind of ship the two though, as well as Stella x Bloom.

Yes, but then he made up with Musa and they got back together.

For this last one I'm a bit confused (my apologies, I didn't sleep very well), are you saying that they're both in separate hidden lesbian relationships, or that they are in a hidden relationship with each other?

Mmm… I’m asexual so it’s not really smth I enjoy (it makes me laugh a lot when writing just because I find it so weird to write) but I use it mostly just… to show characters reaching that serious level in their relationship

It’s mostly just to show the closeness in the relationship for certain characters that would find intimacy in sex
